Fabulous! If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would! I took my extended family in here for lunch today (that’s 15 people), and they were most accommodating happily moving tables and chairs around so we could all sit together. And the food! It was fresh and delicious, and we all enjoyed our meals. They served us quickly and always with a smile. Pleasantly surprised because we were such a large group. I would definitely go back and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. Our appetizer was homemade hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh, tazaki and the pita was fresh, warm and phenomenal. Clearly all home made. The meal was falafel, rice and pickles, tahini sauce and a small salad. This place was a cultural delight. I’ll be in the area for 2 weeks and I’ll definitely be ordering delivery and may stop back in for a visit.

We went to Moonlight Grill to eat in and found that the previous staff we've known from past visits seemed to be gone including the older man who had helped us so much in the the past when we did take out several times during COVID lockdowns. There now is only another older man and his wife (who seems to be the chef)...they were the only staff on hand we saw all evening. I believe that they are the managers now. The woman seated us, gave us our menus, and took our orders which included water and a soft drink along with our two entrees and an order of the smaller size hummus and pita bread. No one came to give us any water, and our entrees came after about 20 some minutes or so, at which time, we had to again ask for our water and soft drink, this time from the gentleman, as well as for the order of hummus as it hadn't come either. It appeared to have been forgotten. We never had anyone come back to the table to ask if our food was good while we were there, and at the end when the check didn't come, we got up and went to the counter to pay. That was weird in itself as there was nothing to indicate this was how you paid there, and when we had eaten in before, we paid at the table. The part that was incredibly awkward was when I saw the man, apparently a devout Muslim, kneeling to touch his head to the floor numerous times while in prayer for some time at the other end of the small restaurant space in plain view of the customers. This was as we waiting to even get our water on a very hot day. The music that had been playing on the sound system had been muted and the "call to worship" for Muslims was heard instead. AWKWARD! I didn't want to disturb him to ask for some cold water or even for the hummus that should have come as an appetizer. We both thought the food was pretty good, but the awkwardness felt will probably cause us to go elsewhere when we want this kind of food in the future. And that is sad because we have liked it so well in the past AND it is in our neighborhood!

We have been to Moonlight Grill several times now since they opened this site on Terwilliger, and have been happy with the food at each visit. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and the food has been great. Prices are very reasonable for the fairly large portions of food gotten. We get take out because their food carries home well.

We did take out from Moonlight Grill, and the older gentleman who took our order was great!! He was so helpful in helping me decide what to order this time as I wanted something a little different from our last visit here. Everything we had turned out to be delicious, and we even had enough for a second meal!! We will be back!

beautiful place and beautiful people , wonderful food ,friendly and very clean service, more then 40 disces

My husband and I were walking and came across this place and decided to stop in. We ordered the mezza plate and the falafel plate. It was more than enough food for the two of us and it was delicious. The hummus is homemade and the food was made to order. The service was friendly, I would highly recommend stopping in or they deliver as well.
Basic, good, comfort food
A mom-and-pop Mediterranean restaurant that is, surprisingly, really good. There's nothing romantic about the setting, but you're not here for the romance. You're here because the food is basic, good, and comfortable.
