Fabulous location

Plenty of beers on tap including a beer appreciation night, the night we were ere. Four beers for $10. Service good and you will never tire of that view. Thoroughly enjoyable

Great Place to Hang Out

By Rob K |

We had a lot of fun hanging out here with a group of friends on the large deck overlooking the river. There was a nice breeze throughout the evening, and with the addition of a live band and a full glass it was a lot of fun. The food, although tasty, came in very small portions - perhaps I'm just used to the more traditional sized Lobster Rolls in New England. Our waitress wasn't overly attentive, but seemed fun and we weren't too bothered by the lack of traditional table service (although she did talk me into some sort of pickled green bean thing that wasn't very good...). At the end of the evening, there was no difficulty grabbing a taxi and heading back to the hotel. Fun time - glad we went!

A hot mess…

By Karen |

Visited on a Sat. Evening with adult family; ages 21-67. Stood in a short line which moved quickly. Not enough seating for the enormous number of people here; almost not enough standing room to walk! Out of many drinks offered. Being one of the older persons in our crowd; but one who enjoys music and a party atmosphere; I thought the music to be vulgar and loud. Too loud for communication to happen. Did get a table after someone vacated it. Did not stay long; another member of our group came later and the line to get in was blocks long. (he aborted the line.). We went to a different venue. Did not feel safe here.

Drinks and casual fare in the heart of activity

By GoThere88 |

First things first: parking is not easy along the river. We parked in the parking garage next to Dave & Busters for $15.00, and walked several minutes to Morgan's Pier where we saw only street parking with many cars cruising and stopping, waiting for spots to open up. This was a mid-June weeknight when Philly was only semi-crowded with tourists. The throng of people was all headed in one direction, to the harbor park I suppose for the colored lights and party atmosphere. So, although there were maybe a thousand people crowded for a couple miles up and down the sidewalk, the restaurant was only moderately busy and we didn't have to wait for a table. The dress codes is very casual; T-shirts, shorts, no dress up needed. Food here is very casual, sandwiches, fish, fried stuff, but decent prices and fairly good. Without drinks we paid under $40.00 for sandwiches and cola. This looks like a good night-out drinking spot though we did not order liquor or beer; the crowd is youngish, and the view of the river and bridge is spectacular. I have great photos but they're on Google Photos, and I haven't found a way to access them from this Trip Advisor app. A strange thing occurred: when I got my credit card bill $2.00 extra was posted as the final amount. My signed receipt, with the 20% tip amount and the total I filled in were very clear, so I suppose this was either a mistake or a "cover" amount; I'm not sure and it's not worth pursuing. I would return to Morgan's Pier - it's a great atmosphere with good food.

Great waiting staff, security staff horrible

By imb1971 |

Great bar. Shame the intimidating bouncer outside is so unfriendly. Clearly hates customers and not friendly when asking for ID from a 51 year old. Bar itself is good. Reasonable priced food and ale and very friendly waiting staff. Indoor security staff are pretty grim. Maybe they don’t like English people and I just had a bad experience with the door team. Rest of team excellent

Great location

By Louis H |

We got there early around 430 and were able to have a beer and set up our computers to finish work for the day. At about 6 PM, the bar scene really picks up. At some point on this day, a bingo game broke out. Fun environment and free drinks at stake, but if you sit by the speaker, your ears will pay. Good selection of beers and I enjoyed Bell's Oberon on tap. My table mate tried several local beers. We only ate a sampler of fried pickles. They were spear and I am used to chips. These were crunchier, but not necessarily better.

Stopped in for lunch as part of our Philly day trip

By Live7241 |

We are die hard Phillies fans. We take our daughter every year for her bday to Philly for a game. We decided to stop in here for lunch, 1 it looked really cool by the water. 2, my daughters favorite Phillie Cameron Rupp was just recently there to make an appearance. So we decided to check it out. The service was very fast and friendly, the food was good. Looks like it would be an awesome spot for the nite life.

Pre tailgating gathering !

Great place!

By Christina S |

This gem is located on the river across from the hotels. They had a live band, the Sensational Soul Cruisers!! They were awesome! There was a $5 cover after 8, so get there before. We sat on the deck.....which would’ve been perfect except for the rather large spider that was next to our table. Our awesome waiter, Justin, dealt with it and tried to remove all the webs around he could. The ribs were amazing!! The smoked chicken salad sandwich not so much, the toast was not very toasted and just didn’t taste right. The side pickle was spicy!?! Never had that before. And, the rose sangria drink was phenomenal!!

A great surprise.

By kenmac1 |

Found this place just a block from the Holiday Inn and dropped in for a lunch sandwich. Great food! Great selection too prepared very fast by very friendly staff. .

So-so

By D H |

This place is great for outdoor dining. It has a beautiful view of the Ben Franklin Bridge and the Delaware River. The place itself is nice if you are younger and a yuppie. (vegan, gluten free, etc.). Meal came with no utensils. The absolute worst frozen margarita you will ever taste. Couldn't even finish it. Just so-so. Flowers were a nice touch.

Just don't have high hopes for the food

By DrGoldin |

The view of the marina, bridge, and river are the main reason why so many people come here, and the beer list isn't bad. Just don't expect awesome food. It's a short tavern menu and it's just so-so. But the food isn't why most people come here anyway.

Great Day

By mugzy |

Got lucky with the weather and enjoyed a great fall day at Morgan's Pier. Had the pork bell sandwich and some poutine. Both really good. Nice brew on the river, what else can you ask for?

Almost Great

By Redlypjetsetter |

This atmosphere, crowd and view is VERY cool. I couldn't quite put my finger on the crowd but that's what I actually liked about the place. I think it was just young professionals getting together to drink, talk and a dance. It wasn't stuffy like everyone had on kahkis and polos and girls were wearing everything from flip flops to high heels. This places biggest downfall was the music though. It was ALL techno and almost no lyrics. the DJ definitely needed to change up the music more. If he did, I would have given this place 5 stars. I think because there was no cover also made me like this place. If I had to pay money to listen to the lame music I would have been mad. But since it was free, the crowd was fun and the venue so unique...I will at least give this a 4 our of 5 stars.

What a view!

By MichaelDupont |

Fantastic location with a fantastic scenery. Nice service from very friendly staff. The doorman/bouncer was very accommodating. A very nice experience. We were only in Philly for one day/night and felt that this is something not to be missed. Would most definately recommend...and just definately like to return some day.

Fun place to meet for drinks

By PhilM2006 |

Visited Morgan's Pier on a warm Saturday afternoon. The place was hopping. Managed to find a table for 4 with a great view of the river. Great place to meet for drinks and laughs. Very noisy, but that's its charm. Food menu is limited, and the selections are average at best. Best to eat before you arrive.

Great outdoor bar scene

By Drew31 |

Large outdoor bar right on water with great view of Ben Franklin Bridge. Full Covid protocol (needed a reservation to get in which we had). Usually mostly young professional crowd but also family friendly. Been several times and always fun. Basic bar food.

Come here for the drinks, not the food

By Emily P |

Let’s face it, this is a bar that serves food. They have a LARGE outdoor area and its seat yourself. Nobody was coming over to take our order so we flagged someone down. Service was very slow. It took a while for our drinks to arrive. I have no clue who our server was. When we would order something a different person brought it out to us. Due to the limited menu options I decided on the burger and my boyfriend ordered the roast beef sandwich. The burger was dry, bland and tasted like it was once frozen. The roast beef was extremely fatty. It’s too bad the food here is horrible; it’s in a perfect location with amazing views of the Delaware River.

My Favorite Bar in Philly

By Danielle D |

Morgan's is by far my favorite bar in Philly. I love that it's right on the water and right next to the bridge. I've eaten the pork sandwich and the fried tomatoes and absolutely loved both. It's great that they also offer $2 hotdogs and ice cream. The DJs have attracted mostly hipsters, and I wish they would play more current music when it gets later, but it's still nice that they have dancing. Restrooms were pretty clean although the line was pretty long. The atmosphere here is unbeatable though, and I've had so much fun every time I've gone. I love Morgan's!

what a fun night!

By Hannah W |

Went to the suagerhouse casio and took the half while walk to morgans pier. It was perfect weather with a perfect view. The drinks were not outragous priced and the food was yummy bar food. wouldnt have dinner here but bar snacks hit the spot.

Go for the View and Drinks....... not the food

By Doug C |

In downtown Philadelphia, along the delaware . walked in and felt "that vacation feel".. nice waterside restraunt. Ordered a bear .... nice and cold ........ should have stopped there and it would have been an excellent outing.. then we ordered food..... food is not worth it.... .. all in all with this being said, the overall rating is ......average

Great open-air restaurant

By TravelChick925 |

This was a great spot right on the water. I was by myself but it appeared to be a great spot for happy hour and a casual meal. The menu is very limited but the food was good.

Go at Sunset for a Few Drinks, Go Elsewhere for Dinner

By Audra B |

The bar and bartenders were excellent, wait staff - eh (Monday night and very slow and non-responsive to requests). Limited menu, and there are definitely better burgers to be had else where in Philly. The view is excellent.

Private 21st Bday Party

By kellie S |

Great Atmosphere! Beautiful views of the river & the Ben Franklin bridge. Huge bar with cute areas to hang. Small Garden area for a private party of 25 was perfect! Emma the events coordinator was awesome to work with. Very flexible and works with a package to fit your needs! Highly recommend! $ reasonable!

Great summer spot.

By carbrig99 |

Morgan's Pier, Philly's newest waterfront bar/club with rustic patio dining, wooden picnic tables, natural landscaping and an abundance of Linden Trees. It's like sitting out on you back deck, over looking a marina and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Morgan's Pier is a very laid back outdoor club with a diverse crowd, no cover charge a great selection of craft beers that are changed every few weeks, good cocktails and an awesome menu, all at very reasonable prices for a seasonal establishment. Each night has a different type's of music like, DJ's on Monday, Jamaican soul,(my favorite) Spinning Roots, Reggae and Jamaican Soul, Tuesday, Club Paradise, Spinning Chillwave, Yachtstep and Future R&B, Wednesday, Rocktits, Spinning 60 & 70's Rock, R&B and Soul live music on other night's Morgan's pier is the best thing that happened to Philly's waterfront in a very long time. I've been there several times this summer. Check it out for yourself www.morganspier.com

Cute food, sparkling lights

By renee3210 |

Though the portions were a bit on the smaller side, I really liked sitting here just after sunset and grabbing a drink. It is right under the ben franklin bridge and is a lovely little spot on the water to enjoy the reflection of city lights, pretty xmas light covered trees, and plenty of room for good conversation.

Horrible Staff / Great Food

By Michele M |

The door man was friendly and that is where is ended. No one was happy (hostess or server) to be working here and just all stood in a corner or looking at their phones. If I was a manger/owner I would be livid!! Food was hot fresh and delish. I got the cheesesteak with added mushrooms and it may have been the best one I’ve ever eaten. Atmosphere was nice to sit outside.

Worst food and worst brunch in all of Philadelphia!

By Jeannine L |

This was my first time here for brunch to enjoy the water view. When the food came out we were mortified. This is the absolute worst food I've ever had in Philadelphia, hands-down. There were four of us in the party and much of the food was inedible. However, we did not say anything because we just wanted to relax and enjoy the view.

Nice spot

By jasminaki |

Good service.nice spot.reminds me beach bar ,like in an island.we haven't eaten any food so don't have any opinion on it.it worth though :)

Great Spot

By Carlos R |

Got there on a Saturday noon time, almost empty but I could appreciate the great atmosphere. Well decorated for autumn and ready for a large 200 people event later in the day.

Beer garden & tasty eats..

By Luis McArthur |

On a sunny day, sitting with friends in this garden in the early afternoon having lazy drinks & tasty food with a lovely view, what could be better. It’s a great atmosphere. I bet it gets a little rowdier later though.. My top tip- Bloody Mary has bacon option. Bacon makes everything better..

Beach Club like location

By Tomlightside |

Fancy location, good and friendly service, phantastic drinks. We have not eaten there, though. But if you want to hang out after a hot summer's day this is a good place to go to.

Fun day drinking on the pier!

By Jesse D |

We visited on a gorgeous day and found a table overlooking the water with an umbrella to shade us if we wanted. Beers were great, food is pub style and decent. The place got busier and busier throughout the day so better to get in before the crowds. Good music, lively place, wait staff was awesome (we had Kat). Definitely a fun day with friends.

Great Atmosphere

By abt7777 |

Light hearted and fun. Misters if hot on deck. Bar area friendly and bar staff plentiful to keep customers happy. 33's playing on a turn table? Fabulous.

Great atmosphere

By Devin |

Went here on a Thursday night for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere was amazing!!! The drinks were also great. The food, however.... subpar. This definitely is more of a place to go for the drinks rather than the food. Regardless, I had a great time! Our server seemed busy but was still great!

Perfect place to end the summer

By Bar C |

Had a blast here last summer. It's a seasonal bar so it's not open during the winter but it's worth the wait. The boats, the awesome view of the Ben Franklin bridge and when the sun goes down the music and the night life turn up. Followed by more than enough room to get your dancing shoes on and dance the night away. Plenty of bars and room to roam. Hope you enjoy your time here as much as I did.

Nice night out

By Brittany K |

Nice & relaxing. We went to celebrate a friends 30th birthday and had a great time. We got there around 7p and the crowd was nice we left around 11:30p and that is when the younger hyper crowd started to pour in. Food & drinks & service was good!!

Nice location/view

By Laura S |

I wouldn't call this a restaurant as referenced in other reviews. The menu is pretty limited and it's mostly sandwiches you can make at home. If you like your drinks in plastic cups and being ID'd for a dinner reservation after waiting in line outside like a sorority girl, this is your place. Margaritas were not bad (except I asked for salt which I never got), but I was turned off by the college feel of this place. The water views made up for it though.

Great food and atmosphere.

By EmmyB |

This place had a great outdoor vibe and it was busy! We managed to come early enough to get a table. Definitely try the crushin it drink and the lobster roll!

Love Morgan's Pier!

By Deefrompa |

My husband and I have been to Morgan's Pier 3 times this summer and really love it. The views are great - it's right underneath the Ben Franklin Bridge, and it's fun to watch the boat traffic go by on the river. There's a lot of different seating options and three separate bars to choose from. Our favorite was to sit on adirondack chairs on their upper deck. They have a pretty good beer selection with about 20 different beers on tap and 20 more available by can. We haven't eaten much of the food there, but what we have had (fries - amazing, corn dip, and pulled pork sandwich) was really good. I'd highly recommend a visit here!

Nice Time

By Steve S |

This place has a great atmosphere and great views of the river. Perfect for a spring/summer lunch or dinner. Great drink selection and the food was pretty good. Awesome place to bring friends or family on a nice day. Only thing keeping this from 5 stars is the gnats! I spent 1/2 my dinner batting them away and carefully trying not to swallow any! Other than that, it's great!

Cheap Beers on the water, what more could you ask for?

By SCRUDELE |

This was my 2nd time at Morgan's Pier and I love the vibe. Very chill, great music, friendly wait staff, views of the bridge/river and to top it off -- cheap drinks. There is a wide selection of cans, bottles and drafts and food too. There are comfy cushioned seats, wooden decks, you almost feel like you're at a chill beach bar. Whenever I'm back in Philly in warm weather, I will come back to Morgan's Pier.

Perfect place for an afternoon drink!

By Daniel E |

I liked this place a lot. Vet nice view of the Delaware river. Nice place with fun crowd. At night it gets quite busy. Definitely worth the detour.

Hopefully, you won't jump into the Delaware

By joeF_10 |

If you're able to get past the many Covid restrictions, don't expect anything special in this all outdoor restaurant. Almost all the seating is picnic tables or bar stools, neither appealed to me. There is a two hour time limit before you must leave which is not bad if the server didn't wait so long to arrive at the table, despite the fact that there was not a crowd. Besides that issue, when our party of 6 received our food, there were only five entrees.....they forgot to fill the other order and the person had to wait. The food and drinks were all served on plastic dishes and plastic glasses and due to the wind, there was a lot of flying items.

Best place to spend a sunny afternoon in Philly

By SparklesBA |

An excellent location to while an afternoon! Amazing cocktails (favourite was the Old Maid)! Well looked after by our server Wesley who was attentive and friendly! Well worth a visit!

Want to chill by the river? Have a bite - look no more

By newcitygirl15 |

I've been here several times since it opened recently, and as a newcomer to the city/neighborhood, I only have good things to say. There are lots of little corners to sit with your friends even if you don't score a table. One place to check out is up the spiral staircase. They have table service there and it is a bit away from the crowds.

Waterside

By TheWHQ |

Waterside outdoor patio bar phenomenal for summer time or to get out of the heat miss fans will cool you down but so will their selection of frozen drinks

A Seasonal Hotspot

By Mark R |

Morgan's Pier is located on the Delaware River, overlooking a beautiful marina, the Ben Franklin Bridge and part of the Camden skyline. They have a nice selection of beer, wine and "hard" drinks. The "outside" venue has two bars, plenty of basic seating and definitely appropriate for singles, couples and families. The menu is very basic, so don't expect too much. They do have a hot dog cart and a "Little Baby Ice Cream" cart.

Not worth it!

By smir21 |

I took my sons here. The view was great however the food was overpriced, bad,and we won't be back! Seriously don't waste your time.

drinks with bff

By Jessie A |

Went here for Drinks with my bff. It was nice. Atmosphere was cool. nice place for warmer weather. Very low lighting, High priced drinks and food. No easy way place to park. would go back in summer, not on a weekend. Had my favorite craft beer. Trendy menu. good place for hipsters. Not my scene, but not bad.

Morgan's Pier - Worth the trip!

By dalec06 |

After a guided segway tour of historic Philly, our group of 18 headed to Morgan's Pier for a bite to eat and some liquid refreshment. Morgan's Pier, a seasonal stop along the waterfront, was worth the trip. The entire staff, from Manager Dana to Julie Ann our server, were very accomodating and attentive to the needs of the group. Large groups are not always easy yet we were always greeted with a smile and quick service which allowed us to enjoy each other's company and the waterfront view afforded by their location at the base of the Ben Franklin bridge. Whether by boat or by foot, give the folks at Morgan's a shot.

Sunday

By Ken K |

Sunday afternoon we went to check out the music as we do on many occasions and we get in for one song so the say they will be back after a short break so we waited and it was 40 minutes till they came back on and we were very disappointed as we support live music . we know next time in the area to make sure the same duo is not playing we did not try the food as we left and went to another local place to eat with live music on south street

Awesome place to hangout, Nice Menu

By AndyAnnable |

A great location, taking in the bridge and river. There is a nice selection of beers and food. Plenty of open seating in the sun and shade if needed. Great service too

Nice location and good selection of beer

By MeraKi25 |

Morgan's Pier has a pretty good selection of beer and the server was really good... The view is amazing here too. We were here on a Sunday, and there was a DJ. Not sure if that is normal for this place on a Sunday, but it was cool, lounge-y music. Food is just OK, but you're going for the view/ beer. Seating is open seating, so go in and grab a spot where you can. Morgan's Pier is also pretty fun at night- loads of people (lines outside).

Sunday Brunch

By christine m |

I've only been here on Sunday. Great family crowd. My sons are 19 and 20 yrs. Sit on deck, enjoy the beauty of the Delaware River under next to the Ben Franklin Bridge. Food prices are average for brunch. The menu is very limited. Bloody Mary's are apicey, but not strong Manmosa's are strong and delicious! Guacamole is super fresh .. (the corn chips not so much) Slamming crab cake sandwich though... Wonderful ambience, nice no-nonsense friendly crowd, good music. Super relaxing Sunday brunch. Tip: don't park in the parking lots nearby...they cost $25.00!! Drive up a bit a few blocks to the sugar house, park on the west side of front for free! Walk 4 or 5 blocks...you are there. Have fun!

Fun place to grab a beer

By Michael M |

Morgan's pier is a well designed bar/restuarant on the waterfront. It can get very crowed, but when it's not to busy it is a very relaxing atmosphere

Saturday madness

By Sonny Life |

Great view of the bridge and sea and, on a Saturday night in the summertime, you will struggle to get a table. Mobbed with an average age around 25, the food was pub standard at the best with wings and a poor burger. The average marks go for the location and view. For food I'd give it a poor.

We were too old - haha!

By Cindy B |

This is definitely a 20-30's hang out. If you want to mingle, this is your place. Do not order wine here - definitely go with the beer. We are in our 50s and definitely were older than most of the crowd. There is a great view over the water if you get there early enough to get a chair along that side.

Love this place!

By Joe T |

We have used this venue now 2 times for business networking events. Absolutely love it. Everyone that comes absolutely loves it. The atmosphere is really cool. Comfortable and laid back. You're on the water, underneath the Ben Franklin Bridge with a garden surrounding you. They play live music with a DJ and have multiple areas for guest to walk around and enjoy. It's outside so you have to make sure the weather is good to enjoy it but you certainly will. We lucked out and had great weather both events. The place also has fans that blow cool mist around when its warmer outside. Definitely a great place to check out!

Come for the vacation feel

By Tour1252 |

Walk in and you are transported to another place. Beautiful view of the river and Ben Franklin Bridge. Food is typical bar food and reasonably priced. Great beer selection and any mixed drink you'd like. My husband loved the hotdog cart. But what you really come for is the view and casual atmosphere that cannot be beat anywhere in the city! Seasonally open, May thru September. Make plans to stop in at some point, you will not regret it! LOVE LOVE LOVE

Harrasment

By Katie C |

I’ve been going to Morgan’s Pier for years now and I’ve never had a bad experience until recently. I had to deal with creepy security guards who kept staring at my friends and I in a disgusting, uncomfortable way.. and one had the audacity to come up to me and said “I’m keeping my eyes on you”.. I walked right away because of how uncomfortable I was and since they didn’t like the rejection they escorted me right out the place. Security guards are suppose to protect and make everyone feel safe but instead I felt harassed and powerless as a woman not being able to stand up for myself because no one believed what I said especially when I tried to talk to the other security guard outside (Nick).. he thought I was just intoxicated and had no idea what I was talking about. I was aware of my surroundings in that place and knew exactly what had happened. I emailed the manager (Dana) and all she had to say was “I will talk to my securities about falsely recognizing intoxication and will make sure they verify correct intoxication”... which was not the problem. They used that excuse because they weren’t going to say that they were upset I walked away from them because I felt creeped out... they knew what they were doing. They felt powerful over me and were trying to take advantage of my friends and I.

Good Food, Good Drinks, Good Service

By Mark C |

This was near our rental, so we thought we'd stop by. It was a good choice. The location is pretty perfect, near the Franklin bridge, on the harbor. Good start. Our waitress was prompt in getting our orders. The Cheese Curd appetizer was a good choice. We had a couple sandwiches, nothing fancy, but we've learned not to get fancy food at bars. The food was good, not great, but enjoyable. Coupled with the view, and the fast, friendly service, there really isn't anything not to like here.

zero out of ten

By Trevor M |

went for graduation. HORRIBLE service. never go here! they kicked us all out for no reason even though we were all of age and graduating. horrible bouncer

Happy Hour

By BigWash |

We went there with friends for happy hour.. The prices are really great.. We spent a lot less than we thought we would and we had a great time...

Great Location

By captmark12 |

This was my 2nd time at this outside deck, Service was great food was good and we will be back when we visit Philly again!

Casual drinks, food and fun in the sun with a great water and bridge view

By Brad M |

Hit a perfect sunny warm day for brunch. We assumed the view would be the draw which it certainly is. Directly on the waters edge with a spectacular view of the marina, Ben Franklin bridge and NJ across the Delaware. We were pleasantly surprised to also find great food. Fresh burrata, wings, pork lettuce wraps, BBQ chicken sandwich, lobster roll, and the best Bloody Marys.

Fantastic View

By sharonpati |

What a view of the Delaware River. And the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Typlical bar food. Great pan pizza. Delicious softpretzel with cheese dip or course mustard dip. Really clean with stunning outdoor floral planters. Definitely worth the trip.

Dogs

By Rich J |

We spent the day at the Zoo and also took the ferry to the aquarium in Camden. After returning from the aquarium we decided to walk down to Morgan's Pier for dinner and a drink. It was Yappy Hour, yes Yappy, because it was a night for patrons to bring their dogs and support the SPCA. We had the pork bbq and the cod sandwich, both of which were very good. Also had a couple of beers, good selection, and some cocktails for my kids. I also purchased a pint glass and the money went to the SPCA and I got a free beer. Service was awesome and the prices were good with good views right on the Delaware river. Definitely go back again, very cool and friendly place.

Great views and fun menu!

By raachmyers |

Visited with my friend a couple months ago and really enjoyed our stop! We stopped only for a drink and some views and were really impressed. They have a small menu with light fare and some interesting cocktails. I don’t remember what we drank but both of us enjoyed our refreshing drinks on the water! Would recommend grabbing a drink and sitting waterfront. The place had many waterfront seats and tables but I could imagine it getting busy on weekends and nights!

Sunday is House Music with a Bridge View on Delaware River

By GoodSport1 |

Good vibe, good DJ, Good House Music, Good Service. I think Sunday is a very family oriented day with reasonably priced alcohol and food.....Nice to have a place where your kids can come dance to nice positive music, parents can have a beer or two on a very hot summer day, and sit under the cool mist fans. Food was breaded, fried, and unhealthy, but good. Server wanted to close the check when she was leaving.

The view is pretty!

By Liana F |

The view is pretty, the beer is good and the food is okay. Cool place though and it's awesome to be able to sit outside and just enjoy the view. If we end up at another event at Penn's landing, we will probably stop here for a drink.

Nice setting but just OK

By etradervic |

We ordered a late afternoon lunch and had a few drinks. The food came very fast and the service was good but the food was just OK. The drinks were very disappointing - a Negroni and a Mimosa - to the point that I almost sent 1 back. If you go there, I would only recommend only ordering their beer and nothing more than an appetizer.

Perfect summer day

By Michele Q |

Perfect for a summer afternoon with a great view! Stopped by for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon and there were quite a few people but didn't feel like it was too crowded. We were able to snag seats that overlooked the bridge and enjoy our drinks. I heard it gets pretty packed on a Saturday night but can't speak to that from that visit. Lots of good beers on tap. I couldn't resist trying Not Your Father's Root Beer. Reasonable prices as well. Would definitely come back!

Fun Place

By brooklynroxie |

Fun, fun, fun. The food and drinks were delicious. The staff was very friendly. Each of the tables had umbrellas to protect from direct sun rays. I would definitely go back on my next visit.

Great outdoor hangout and scene

By Va9nessa |

We came here to have a drink and a bite midday on a Saturday. It was jam packed and loads of fun. The food was pretty good - we had a lobster roll, the fried cauliflower which was amazing, and the crispy chicken sandwich. Even though it was pricey the food really hit the spot. We will be back to enjoy this outdoor space and scene before the summer is over!

Nice location

By zackc625 |

I want to start by saying the food is just average. However, where they make up for it is with a terrific location and cool, energetic setting. The view is awesome, as you get a nice view of the Delaware River and sit directly beneath the bridge. Parking is a bit of a hassle as well, as we had parked across the street in a lot and then had to cross the street. We went for a business outing, and they had good service for a large group. I imagine it to be very busy on the weekends.

Worst music in a bar

By Ae727cj |

Came here for some food and drinks. Apparently if you want a table you have to stalk someone out until they get up. There is a hostesses but she told me she doesn't know what her job is. Had to wait forever for food which was ok. The Dj was terrible. Some house mix dance music with little talent. No one look liked they were dressed for it and we're not dancing. Get good music and better servers and the place has potential

Waiting for Spring

By bluejeanfood |

Morgan's pier was a success. Nice beer and food selection finally on the riverfront and not cheesy or a trashy spot like most places have been here. Great view of the river here and lots of live music. Problem, PARKING SUCKS around here.

Worst experience EVER!

By Ali First |

I am shocked by this establishment. The I am almost 22 years old and they denied my ID without even checking any other forms. I offered to have the police come and they said “we don’t do that here”. They were extremely rude and I will not be returning.

You are paying for the view and location.

By Divamom521 |

The food is not worth the money. Small portions .... lil to no flavor. I mean its just really blah on a plate. Traveled from WV and I was disappointed. They thing is.... I will return for the drinks and the view. My advice: Eat before you come. You will enjoy it more. Them pricey Margaritas were sooo good but I couldn't drink more bc I was still hungry. 😔 Nicole was a good server! #aditloadm

Bachelorette Party

By Morgan E |

We went here for a Bachelorette Party and it was perfect. The ambiance is great! The lighting and the view of the bridge combined with great weather makes for a beautiful evening. It was very clean and the service was excellent. The drinks were top notch!

Disappointing 2015 menu...... Ambiance still lovely

By MEDISKIS |

We live within walking distance of Morgan's pier and love the ambiance. We eagerly awaited our first visit of the new season and went there recently on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The setting was as lovely as ever and the music on the soundtrack was quite nice. VERY disappointing though was the new menu offered....I understand there is a new chef. Last summer on many visits we enjoyed quality platters like very nice fish tacos and a special grilled chicken type platter. They are GONE for this season and we did not see the kind of healthy choice sandwich or apps that we would like too. We to did order fried chicken appetizer, two pieces, very hot, ok but nit more. We thought Smoked trout spread with roe would be interesting but it really was disappointing,...very thin like a mayonnaise base vs a thicker spread less watery that I anticipated. Also it w served with FOUR very thin bagel chips....really??? That was not enough to put the spread onto so we had to ask for more. In looking over the rest of the menu offerings we did not see much that we would look forward to on future visits,,,,,a $7 burger maybe....there is a pulled BBQ chicken sandwich but otherwise sausage offerings, crab roll, pork belly lettuce wrap or jump up to one Of the three LARGE plates offered between $21-$34. Please add some more middle ground...some nice $12 healthy stuff....something with GRILLED CHICKEN and bring back the great fish tacos...please!!!!

Fun place for food and drink

By Damian C |

Nice place, good view. Drink's were good, food average. Service was very good- staff did a great job of taking care of our party.

Ehhhhhh, it’s just okay...

By Kelli H |

I know my review may not deter people from wanting to visit, however I want people to have a realistic view. The ambience is what makes this place. It’s on the water, the Ben Franklin Bridge adds a nice backdrop and the decor (trees, flowers, fairy lights). They also have music, so the scene is what’s poppin. They require a reservation with a $10 fee to hold your spot and in case you don’t show. As patrons enter, The hostess asks if you’re fully vaccinated....I guess if you’re not, then you have to wear a mask. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Anyway, the drinks were subpar, nothing to brag about. The meal was also mediocre. My husband enjoyed his burger. I ordered the empanadas which weren’t very seasoned. The staff was nice and we gave our server the suggested 18% tip. Under normal circumstances I would have given %15, but the suggested $9.18 held some numerical significance being that my hubby’s birthday is 9/18 and it was Father’s Day! Anyway, I say give it a try. It’s definitely a point of interest in the city and with family/friends you can make it a good time.

Awesome time

By Jerry E |

We had a great time to end the summer. We docked the boat next to the pier and had a great lunch. Wings, beers, chicken sandwich, and a few other things. The place is great for drinks and a great bar scene. I have not been here in years but can not wait til next summer. Jerry Ehrlich from the great City of Philadelphia.

Can we go again, the next time when we are in the US?

By Gréta I |

We were in DC for a few days and wanted to meet some family members who live in NJ. We chose Morgan's Pier for our rendezvous on a Saturday and sat outside in the sun on the pier with great view over the bridge and the river. Super nice - except for the way too loud music coming from numerous loudspeakers. There was a selection of ONE white wine and ONE red and the wine came in plastic cups. How awful! I see from the menu that their beer selection is much better. We ordered an apple salad, a turkey leg, some chicken wings, pulled pork, a hamburger and a beetroot salad. Everyone was happy with their food - it all looked quite appetizing and the staff were friendly and efficient - the place was very busy. The highlight, though, was the carving. They sold two sizes of pumpkins and they came with a set of cutting/carving tools. My 6 yr old judged the place as the best restaurant she had ever been to and wants to go there again, the next time when we are in the US. We'll keep that in mind.

Great view,mood and drinks

By Nan D |

A nice place on the Delaware River for drinks and food. The food is delicious and just mildly over priced. There's a nice drink selection. The music is loud, but if you get a seat a bit far from the DJ, or if the breeze is flowing the right way, it's not too bad. Definitely reccomended for the summer

Nice Atmospher, Food Is Hit or Miss

By gabbiec |

Took my family here for Father's Day. Found the seating and general atmosphere very nice. Music was a little loud but it was mellow. Had a bouce castle to keep the kids busy. However, we tried about 10 things from the very limited picnic menu and found that most of them were not great. Notably the Bibb and Lobster salad. It came with a very small amount of lobster, but worse was the runny, watery dressing. The ribs were a bit tough and the burgers were ok. Hits wer the spicy cauliflour, the funnel cake and the Little Baby's Ice Cream. So, a nice place to hang out for drinks, but not a great place for dinner.

One of the Best Ambience

By Deep D |

This is an amazing place right at the Delaware river Front. Can go alone or as a couple or with friends. Really does not matter because you will have a good time and money worth.

Super cool location in central philly

By PrateekGulati |

Idea of a perfect place to hangout with friends over drinks. Plus: 1. Location (Photo will speak a lot) 2. House brew beer (Pier Beer): Belgian wheat style 3. Music, Ambience and food Minus 1. Kitchen closes at 10 sharp

Great Location!

By Chelsea L |

Love that this place is right on the water and by the Ben Franklin bridge. Makes for awesome views. Food was sub par and drinks were ok. This place turns into a club at night and they charge a cover and the line gets really long. All in all we had fun!

Terrible Service!

By sm0l0ny |

Under different circumstances I believe I would have given this a 5 star review. The scenery and atmosphere are both great. Very nice indoor/outdoor seating area with multiple tables and bars. Normally I would opt to sit at the bar but they were all full so I was forced to sit at a table. It was open seating and not very busy at all (2pm on a Sunday afternoon) so I didn't mind. It took almost 7 minutes to get service or even acknowledged by the waitstaff. Finally a waitress come over with 2 cups of water and took our drink/appetizer order. These both came quickly. Unfortunately, this is where it all went downhill. She never voluntarily came back to check on us. In order to get any type of service we had to wave her down to get her attention. If she was busy I would have understood but instead, she was sitting down at one of the bars hanging out with other waitstaff and the bartender. When we were able to get her attention we were able to receive new drinks quickly but, again, she wouldn't come back to check on us. When it did start to get busy she would walk by and blatantly ignore us and complain to the other servers that people were sitting in her section getting beers from the bar. I cant imagine why! We were going to order another appetizer and sandwiches but after 3 hours of being ignored we got our check and left. Funny, as soon as we asked for our check she was quick to come back around to collect it from us. To spare the server some embarrassment, I will not reveal her name but from watching the other servers, I believe this was an issue with just that one particular server. I will likely go back but needless to say I will be avoiding her.

Nice location

By Jackie Gould |

A great location for having an appetizer and a drink with friends. The food menu was decent, as well as the food. Nothing to rave about. The drinks were tasty, but a little pricey. We spent about $90 in a span of 2 hours.

Place is garbage

By Steve Arnold |

Bartenders are slow and inefficient, music is subpar and security is incredibly egotistical. I would not recommend anyone to go here.

Waterfront, lots of seating

By zutell |

Fun and trendy but not much of a food selection. Pretty view of a marina, the bridge, and water. Multiple levels and lots of umbrellas if you need shade. Good waitstaff though understaffed when it's busy.

Variety and service.

By trip215 |

In my visit to the city I went here for a drink and a nice view. The place is amazing, the boats and the river bridge give the place a very romantic and pleasure stay. I tried three different types of beer and all were awesome , there is this chocolate one that never tasted before and the flavor was really good. When you are there it gives you the idea you are in your own backyard now decorated with fall theme. I really loved it.

Outdoor Bar

Love Morgan's Pier. The atmosphere is great and it's a fun place to go with a group of friends. Be sure to to get there early in order to get a picnic table.

Great view, casual yummy food!

By SD8blueyes |

Service was excellent and food was very good. It's not fancy - don't expect it to be! But it's definitely a spot we'd return to on any trip to Philly.

nice views

By DAVID w |

Went down here purely to see the delaware river. It was not very busy in the afternoon but exactly what i wanted to just chill by the river beer was cold and not overtly expensive. Staff were attentive and outnumbered me but i can see this place being very busy at weekend with a young crowd

Great view!

By missdonnarose |

Met a friend for drinks on a Thursday night. Quirky hipster vibe was a fun. Loved being on the water at night. Despite drinks being a little watered down and music slightly loud, I felt this was a really nice change of scenery and lots of different seating options. Will definitely return.

Nice Lunch..

By Robert D |

Made reservations for lunch here. View was very nice and we were seated immediately. Service was very good. A tad on the expensive side though. We had the burger which was $9 and very good but 9 bucks ?? We ordered to take out the Chicken thigh sandwich which was good and a crab salad that was "horrible"......tasted like weeds with some shredded crab meat. Again nice view but not worth the cost.

A real find!

By Beth P |

Why we like it so much: * OK, so it's not the best food we ever ate or the most inventive. Burgers, ribs, fries, salads, mussels, locally-made ice cream for dessert, etc., the usual pub-type fare. But everything we had was tasty, generous, fresh and reasonably priced. And the bar menu has enough to offer without being pretentious or overwhelming. * The setting is great! Right on the Delaware River, it's all outside seating on a spacious deck overlooking a marina beside the beautiful Ben Franklin Bridge. They have picnic tables, umbrellas, well-maintained flower boxes, canopies, all arranged to give you plenty of room to sit and enjoy your food and catch close-up views of boats on the river, trains clacking back and forth on the bridge, and lots of fun people-watching in the marina right below. * The staff are outstanding. Everyone we encountered -- the greeter, our waitress, the server who brought our food, the fellow who cleared our table -- were genuinely friendly, relaxed, attentive without being intrusive, and good at their jobs. Smiles, warm greetings, familiarity with the menu - someone has done a very good job training this staff, and it shows. The only downside to Morgan's iPier s that it will close for the season on September 30, so, after a few more weeks of summer here in Philadelphia, we'll have to wait till next spring to go there again. But we'll be back!

Good just crowded

By MikeM22rugger |

This place was a lot of fun. The view from the bar was really nice, the service was good, and the food was pretty much what you’d expect. It was just really crowded, but to be fair the 76ers and Phillies were on and it was spring break

Happy Hour

Our office will go to Morgan's Pier on a regular basis during the summer season. They have great happy hour prices.

Nice Place: HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!

By Palmer800 |

I'm at the location right now as we speak and it's a really cool place! Very laid back, awesome scenery, however why is the service so bad? So it starts with the two of us sitting at the bar with empty cups, a tip, and a half eaten basket of fries sitting in front or us for about 8 minutes! (While 2 bartenders WORK, a 3rd guy with a Mohawk walked past us multiple times). Well ok, maybe he thinks the empty cups and fries belong to us; "benefit of the doubt" (even though we are desperately seeking attention via eye contact). So he finally acknowledged us after we had to waive him down and interrupt his walk of boredom! Then he sowed NO emotion while taking ourdrink order and told us at 9:45 that the kitchen was closed. Once we seen food being broght out for others, we asked another bartender about food and he took our order! Eyeyiyi, i could could go on but I'll go back to my evening here. Overall, great music, great atmosphere, good food, but H O R R I B L E SERVICE! THE GUY WITH MOHAWK (KIND OF STOCKY); NEEDS A HOSPITALITY CLASS!

Come for the atmosphere not the food

By mchg4 |

It was a beautiful day and my 9 year old had just finished her first day of theater camp downtown so I took here to enjoy the beautiful evening and have an early dinner. The place is inviting with many different seating areas. We enjoyed sitting by the dock. As others have written, the menu is extremely limited. Although my daughter usually doesn't order from the kids menu because she's a bit more adventurous the waitress did inform us that there only two selections - burger or grilled cheese. My daughter and I split the bean and grilled peach salad which was a bit too vinegary, ribs were very fatty and fries which were good. She didn't even want dessert (also very limited selection). I wouldn't eat here again but would return to grab drinks after work with coworkers on a nice evening.

Waterfront Dining.

By jnice817 |

Went here tonight for a Birthday dinner on the waterfront. Service was very friendly and the food and drinks were great. We had the Calamari, Shrimp, Pork Sandwich, Bluefish Sandwich, Lobster Roll. Everything was really good and everyone had a great time.

nice place to have a beer with your lady

By BorkGordon |

this is a nice place to sit at and enjoy the water and some beers. It was verry crowded when I went in July but worth the tip.

Awesome waterside food

By ANNMARIE A |

wings were great. gets crowded so prepare to wait for a table but its a great spot for music, food, drinks and scenery.

This place would be great if it wasn't for the damn kids everywhere.

By ABMannes |

Ok, this place is a cool outdoor waterfront bar with great lounge/soul music (even though they play it too damn loud to hear the ladies you're talking to); which is MUCH needed in Philly. The problem lies in the hipster belief that it's cool to take your damn kids everywhere. It's not. I don't go to bars to have small children around, which totally killed the vibe. After an hour, all I could think is how the staff could be OK with parents who are dragging their kids to a bar on a hot day to sit there while they drink beers? Hire a bouncer and tell people that their kids can't come in like every other bar in America and this place would be great. Oh, and lower the music a bit so we can actually hear who we're talking to.

Chefs menu was good and a surprise

By Jerry E |

Good place to hang out for a drink and food over looking the Delaware River with the Ben Franklin Bridge over head. We had the chefs menu and the chooses were good. Smoked carrots, Leeks, cabbage, asparagus, radishes and Squid all for 36.00 it was all good. 2nd time here for this and will be back. The weather plays a very important part. Most seating is outside and if it rains. You are out of luck. Jerry Ehrlich from the great City of Philadelphia

Get Yer Drink On!

By Kelly V |

We went there the first warm weekend of the spring (and during the Jazz Festival weekend) and it was PACKED. Hard to find seating and the bartenders were a little frazzled, it took us about twenty minutes to order drinks, but overall we had fun, the space is cool, and the music on point. (Any place people are dancing is a great place to be!)

Beers with a View

By meganb1027 |

This is a great little place right on the river by the Ben Franklin bridge. Great atmosphere and decent beer selection with plenty of outdoor picnic-style seating available. I've been meaning to check this place out for a while and it was worth the rate. They always have different events going on as well. We will definitely be back!

Lunch with a view at Morgan's Pier!

Enjoyed a delicious lunch with family at Morgan's Pier. Loved seeing the boats and river with gorgeous views of the Ben Franklin bridge. Great place to hang out and grab a bite to eat.

Iconic city views with Ben Franklin Bridge in the immediate background make this spot a must-experience in Philly

By StephanieHuston |

Morgan’s Pier iconic city views with Ben Franklin Bridge in the immediate background make this spot a must-experience in Philly, and a no brainer for planning a magical AF party. The Morgan’s Pier management and staff were all very helpful in arranging the surprise party and making it as extraordinary as possible. Morgan’s Pier is a cool spot with great vibes whether you arrive at 4pm or 11pm, making it a consistently solid location in Philly for a celebration.

Great atmosphere and food

By lalajosan |

We attended a business gathering and the food was truly delicious. There were so many choices from ribs and pulled pork to burgers, salads, and shrimp and raw oysters. The bar set up had plenty to choose from including alcohol icecream drinks. Yum. The settling was lovely.

Great spot for liquid refreshment

By jer b |

Morgan Pier is located overlooking the Delaware River and provides great views and the ability to rest and have a drink. They serve over 30 different beers, in addition to sandwiches, snacks, flatbreads, etc. Very casual dining. We all just selected a different beer and sat back and regrouped. Look for the big blue sign - you cannot miss it. Very enjoyable.

Waterfront "restaurant " not

By Will2628 |

Selected restaurant for the view. I tried to call to make reservations, no telephone number on website. I googled the number and called, person said they don't take reservations by phone - make them on the website. She said they have space available for walk-ins, so I didn't make a reservation. When we got there we were told we could sit at any table with menus. Tables with best view of waterfront were not available. Many vacant tables were "reserved". If I was aware of this I would have made reservations. My wife ordered crab cakes, they were spoiled and inedible. When we told the waitress she didn't seem surprised at all. Other food was very average . I would not suggest this restaurant

Waterfront Views Create Good Vibes

By PhillyShaney |

I visited Morgan's Pier last year, but the experience wasn't that great, so I decided to give it another shot and decided to go at the beginning of the season vs. before it becomes the super crowded summer hang out spot. What I appreciated about this space is that it is roomy and of course the location where the view of the waterfront and the bridge is awesome. The menu has some tasty treats - I had the candied bacon and the other offerings are cool too. The drinks and beer list are average. The staff are friendly and the prices are a bit high, but remember - you are here for atmosphere and that is what you are paying for!! I will def recommend to others because the vibe is cool - when it gets warmer - get there early because it gets pretty crowded.

Great Views and Great Food

By Blaise F |

Great new location right on the water in Philly. Enjoy some drinks and live music on the deck. DJ played good tunes all night. Reasonable priced drinks and random hot dog cart comes in handy for late night munchies. Oh, and Gourmet Bacon, yeah - Bacon is on the appetizer menu. Its kind of like a pork and crack mixed together. Try for yourself.

RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL BOUNCER V

By Ivanko S |

Used to be my favorite place to go out with friends for years! However, Last Friday me and my girlfriend (who doesn’t drink) went on the first date there, we had great time dancing and then decided to sit down and take a break. Bouncer “V” and another black lady came up to us & asked us to leave. They decided that my gf is “extremely intoxicated” because she put her head on my shoulder and she’s a “liability to the bar”. My explanations that my gf doesn’t even drink and we just wanted to sit and have a minute together, were completely ignored. Bouncer V went 0 to 100 very quick, he stated in very aggressive tone “I asked you to leave nicely, now I’m telling you to get the F*** OUT” . As we got up, he kept yelling at me and my girlfriend “LETS GO, LETS GO”. I have never in my life felt that embarrassed for absolutely no reason, ZERO!!! As I got up, V started pushing me physically towards the entrance, saying “GET THE F*** OUT!” I have no words to express how embarrassed and terrified I am. Very rude, unprofessional and ZERO respect. Managers/owners, please be careful who you’re hiring! Do not let tyrants like V deal with people, better send him to clean toilets. This clown must know his place!

nothing to offer

By acaRich |

visited morgans pier the other day.Its not a very good place..The music is very loud but not for dancing so its difficult to talk. I had 1 beer a 10.00 minimum it was domestic beer any other places Ive been usually charge 3.50 to 4.00.I just had some snack type food which was just ok and that was pricy also. Its not a family place although I did see some people with children.

Great happy hour & scene

By Oscar R |

This place has a wonderful view of the river, and looks great lit up at night. The place really knows how to party later in the evening, and the food is pretty good too, especially the potato salad. Friendly staff (Alison rocks), and great food and drinks.

Not family friendly!!!

By chefdredd |

When here twice to get something to eat over the weekend and both times was returned turned away. After walking several blocks with and 8 month old a 6 year old daughters were told at 9:05 p.m. that families were not allowed into the restaurant after 9 p.m. I spoke to someone day before with me and my wife on a date night and we were trying to wait because the kitchen close at 10 p.m.. I can tell they care more about being a tourist trap for drunken college kids them taken care of people properly.
