Incredible experience and service

By Josh S. |

We had dinner at Morimoto on 4/30/21. We're Las Vegas locals and it had always been on the list to try so we opted for it for date night. The entire experience was incredible. The ambience of the restaurant is great and, depending on where you're seating, you get some great people-watching from the MGM. Our server was Jen who was the absolute best server we've had in ages. We had been interested in the omakase menu, which is our preferred way of dining, just trusting the chef. Unfortunately, due to COVID, that's not a regular offering right now. However, Jen was so accommodating and offered to do a make-shift omakase tasting menu with most of the same dishes that were available. He was so awesome in asking "Is there anything you don't eat?" (for us, it's uni. Sorry chef!) and whether there was a specific per-person price point we wanted to stay under. He also just had a joy for the food and spent tons of time explaining how it was prepared, how best to eat it and with what sauce etc. We ended up sharing the toro tartara, waygu carpacchio, the chef's sushi combo, the black cod, the steak filet and fiery chocolate tart. And I cannot rave enough about how good everything was. In particular, the black cod was one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. The menu somewhat undersells just how delicious is was, and it far outstripped the steak portion of that surf-and-turf. I'm stoked Jen recommended it because I honestly don't think I would have ordered it from the menu on my own. The fatty tuna sashimi was also some of the best fish I've ever eaten and the chef's homemade soy sauce was to die for. The entire experience was awesome. And again, I want to say how appreciative we were of the service. At some points, we'd see other servers bringing food out maybe a bit earlier than Jen wanted and he would redirect them, or he'd take it so he could explain what we were eating and how we should approach it. It was a level of service we've only gotten a few places like Guy Savoy. He definitely deserves a raise.

Wonderful Dinner and Great Start to the Evening

By Brooklynite1240 |

We dined here before going to the Janet Jackson concert and it was wonderful!! We started with sushi and appetizers. My cocktail was very good, pineapple margarita and I ordered the crispy whole fish. This entree was absolutely wonderful. The presentation and the flavorful fish was great! Thanks to everyone from the door to the kitchen as everyone one was very pleasant.

Iron Chef Worthy

By Mkollman74 |

I had high hopes for Morimoto. I was not disappointed. We had a group of 7 in town for business. Our service was impeccable, and the meals were on point. My only (slight) criticism would be it was a bit noisy-but realistically, it’s Vegas. This was a wonderful meal with colleagues.

Gas Station SUSHI @ best

By Kirill D |

Came in for sushi before Drake concert,BIG mistake.Poor service-they come to take your order and drop off your bill, low grade sushi HIGH prices, gross steak, plates drink like wet dog, dirty bathroom.Theres absolutely NO way for us to ever come back to this restaurant and advise others to look else where

Pure Deliciousness

By Debra-Lynne T |

We have dined at wonderful restaurants, including Michelin star establishments, worldwide and we would rate our experience at Morimoto as particularly outstanding. The service was above and beyond due to the exceptional hospitality and professionalism of our server Steve. He took the time to thoroughly explain the dishes in detail and enabled us to make just the right selections. Our party of four shared a nice variety of appetizers and entrees which further enhanced our experience. It was an adventure in pure deliciousness. Don’t miss the whitefish carpaccio.

Underwhelming and overpriced

By Jose Carrillo |

Disappointing experience overall... food is OK but overpriced. Do not recommend. We ordered the following: 1- Sticky Ribs: Overall OK, but not amazing. 2- Edamame: hard to go wrong with those, so no comments 3- Salmon and Tuna (2x) nigiri: the rice was not properly made and fell apart. It is amazing to me that a sushi place as expensive as this can't even get the rice done right. 4- 2 glasses of New Zealand white wine (I forget) The total bill was 150 US plus gratuity, pretty steep for a completely underwhelming meal.

Fresh fish and light wallet

By billybob101 |

As noted by so many reviewers, this place is fairly expensive for what you actually receive. I’ve been here a few times now and while the sushi is fresh, expertly cut and presented, it comes with a hefty cost. Having said that, good luck finding reasonable dining prices on the strip! My two work colleagues and I shared a few starters (the deep fried spicy shrimp were tasty). Sushi was fine. My favourite was a noodle bowl (see photo) - I would get that again!

not up to the name

By CynthiacJ1953 |

I was highly disappointed, especially since I love Masaharu Morimoto on Iron Chef America. We got the appetizers in a timely manner, but we waited and waited for our meal to arrive. We saw three different couples come in and sit down after we were seated, and they were served and out before we got our entree! For the amount of money we spent - it just wasn't worth it.

Great dinner at the Iron Chef Morimoto’s

By 357glennj |

Great dinner at the Iron Chefs restaurant. Had the sashimi appetizer platter. It looked spectacular and tasted really good. Only reason I dropped this from a 5* to a 4 was there were 5 sauces and 5 different fish on each of the towers and it was hit or miss trying to come up with the best combinations. The Seafood Toban Yaki was excellent. All of the ingredients were cooked perfectly and the broth was amazing. I wish you could buy that broth somewhere, it would always be in our pantry. Great food, great service, price was as you would expect for a restaurant of this quality.

Yes to Morimoto..............

By jtat |

though we have stayed many times at the Grand MGM we finally decided to hit iron chef's Morimoto and we should glad we did. we started started all off with a couple of refreshing mocktails. for app we hit raw oysters and rock shrimp both being very nice. main course was 3 rolls of sushi all great and duck fried rice which was good and rich. our service was attentive.

I enjoyed it overall, but some attention to detail would make this a 5 star experience

By zemelb |

Matt our server was great, and most of the food was very good. The pork belly appetizer with the rice congee was incredible. I was a little disappointed in the tableside yellowtail dish that is Morimoto's signature dish though. It was good, just not incredible. I was expecting a cold piece of raw yellowtail on top of the fried rice, but instead it's a lightly seared yellowtail and unfortunately the person who made it tableside didn't use enough sauce for it not to become a bit bland when seared. I think more sauce would have helped immensely but I still would have preferred the cold raw yellowtail served with the hot fried rice. Also, the plastic chopsticks provided are a bit tacky. This is an expensive, nice restaurant, I would expect metal or at least wood chopsticks, not translucent plastic.

Made my daughter's 21st Birthday a memorable experience

By nealf0221 |

There were 20 of us for a birthday party. Adam (Manager) was kind enough to set everything up perfectly and Emily (our server) and Fernando (Captain) did an outstanding job of taking care of the group! 10 Stars!

Worst experience ever and don’t go there

By Coco W |

There was an omakase menu on the menu but when we went there. There is no omakase menu and the the waiter asked us that are u guys on the budget before. It was rude question ever we have heard ever in my entire life. We were expected to to order what was on the menu but we didn’t notice that there is no omakase but the menu says there is omakase on the menu. As a Japanese. I expected to be authentic sushi prepared by morimoto and we paid a grip of money that we earned so hard but went trash by the misleading menus and disrespectful waiter. Don’t go there and save your hard money and spend it with worthy restaurant.

Jump the reservation and sit at the bar

By Water Dog |

The sushi and sashimi were very good and nice quality. We didn't have a reservation so we sat at the bar and had a great time. Service was good, the food was prompt and tasty and they have a nice selection of Japanese whiskeys. Worth giving it a try.

Big dissapointed

By TampaDocFoodie |

We recently had dinner at Morimoto. We went there with very high expectations, that unfortunately were not met. Vegas is a town full of great restaurants. Dozens of celebrity chefs have opened restaurants here. And though many celebrity chefs have been able to maintain high standards of quality while at the same time scaling up their operations for Vegas, many have failed miserably. Unfortunately, Chef Morimoto seems to belong in the latter category. Our experience having dinner here was one of being part of a mass production facility. No soul, no great food, and certainly, no personalized service. Of the service, the best thing that I can say is that it was lackadaisical. About the food; I have to give them credit for using very high quality ingredients (Their toro sushi was fantastic) and that is why I am giving them 3 starts instead of 2, but, in general the flavors were not there. Point in case: their Miso marinated black cod: A terrific piece of black cod, but, as my wife correctly pointed out: the one I make at home tasted better. The food presentation left something to be desired; unless they were going for the "minimalistic, I don't give a damn about how my food looks" look. If that was the case, they nailed it. I expected to be wowed. Instead, we found 'Meh".

Bucket list one item checked off!

By Michelle G |

My sister, who I'd never met, arranged to take my husband and myself as well as the 2 of them to Morimoto's LV for our anniversary. Stellar food, to be expected of an Iron Chef. Service time was impeccable! Never had to wait between courses. Waitstaff was amazing! Even the bussers stepped up to what needed to be done (like boxing up leftovers). We ordered 2 different sushi rolls for an appetizer, soft shell crab & California roll. Supper was a combination of 4 entrees. My husband who is Asian and quite picky had a spicy seafood "stew not a thick stew but a spicy liquid. My sister had the lobster that was cut in half so you don't need to crack it, B-I-L had a rice dish, cooked at table and I had the whole fried fish that arrived at the table, looking as if it was still swimming. EVERY BONE between head & tail (except for fins) was REMOVED! The fish was so fresh, it was probably still alive in the kitchen!

Great quality fish — bland flavourings

By MaudraS |

The sushi—-do the sushi. The chef’s plate we had showcased the strong suit here. The other dishes were ....interesting but mine (hamachi hot pot) lacked flavor. Again —high quality ingredients and good service...just kind of lacking a special “sumpin- sumpin”.

Disappointed

By D N |

We arrived for our reservation 15 minutes early. As we walked up, the hostess and manager were speaking, so we waited to be greeted, didn't want to interrupt. Another hostess walked up within a minute or two after we arrived. I smiled hoping she would say something, however she did not. She just kept moving about and ignored us even though she made eye contact. The manager and the other hostess have now finished conversating. The manager walked away, and the hostess walked over to the podium where we were standing, but didn't look up or acknowledge us. The other hostess walked back and forth between the restaurant and the hostess podium 4 times without saying anything. The hostess at the podium has never even looked up to make eye contact, greet us, or acknowledge us at all. Over 10 minutes has passed. Another group walks up to the podium and speaks with the hostess. She doesn't say anything to us but helps the other party with an unhappy disposition. She never smiled and acted bothered by the presence of people. The manager has come back up to the hostess podium again and ignores us as well. Meanwhile, I'm trying to make eye contact with the hostess at the podium and never, not once, did she look up to address us. Head down in the computer the whole time! She knew we were there but did not want to assist us. Full disclosure, the restaurant was busy but not packed or crazy at the time. At this point, I am bugged but trying to be patient. The manager comes around again and I take the opportunity to try to get his attention and explain that we have been waiting now for 20 minutes without anyone greeting us. After explaining, he acted very nonchalant but did apologize, kind of. As I explained this to him, the hostess was in earshot and heard my gripe, but she also gave not one care. She actually chuckled under her breath when I voiced my concern. The food was not great either, not terrible but not what I hoped for or expected. It took forever and was not on par for the price. Wagyu filet was $110 but frankly I've had much better at other restaurants that are not high-end. I probably would have returned or referred others had the service been better, but the experience was just disappointing. My son frequents this restaurant and is the reason we came but he will no more now. There are just too many choices in this town to spend money where it's not appreciated. I don't typically review restaurants, but this was a disappointing experience and felt compelled to share. Customer Service is key!

Good food and excellent service with high prices. Noise was loud from adjacent casino.

By Takara1 |

This was a nice high end restaurant inside the MGM Casino. The only negative was the loud noises from the casino which made it hard to have a conversation, even though we were seated towards the rear. The food was great and delicious and service was fast.

Great Sushi

Ate here with my wife and cousin while staying at MGM Grand. Really yummy food with good service. Reasonably priced.

Very high quality food. We had a wonderful evening with our teenage daughters. The Wagyu steak was perfect. Service as well.

A Las Vegas favorite for Japanese food

By David in the 303 |

Last night was maybe my 10th time at Moimoto and as usual it was great. I went with my son for his birthday and they welcomed him (but sadly not me) with a glass of champagne and also ended with a complimentary bowl of sorbet. We both started with a bowl of clam miso soup which just makes your stomach sing, so flavorful comforting. We then split the small chef's choice sashimi boat with a great selection of fresh sashimi that was perfect for the two of us. For an entre I had the braised black cod in a soy ginger reduction sauce. The fish was perfectly prepared done but still flaky and the sauce was decadent. Wow! My son ordered the spicy salmon roll and a shrimp roll which he just devoured. While I usually prefer just sashimi to rolls, because I often find them a bit bland and overpowered by the rice, I did try the spicy salmon roll and my opinion may be changing. It was just an explosion of complex flavors with a perfect amount of spice. Oh and did I mention the sake? They have very reasonably priced to very expensive. the Morimoto labels are not expensive and very good. More often than not, we have at least on dinner at Morimoto whenever we are in Las Vegas, even if we are not staying at MGM Grand.

Does not disappoint

By TexasKrysia |

Had to try the Las Vegas location because we liked Orlando so much! We ordered a few dishes At a time, tapas style, the sticky ribs were great and fell off the bone, oysters were wonderful, tuna tartar so yummy, , will definitely add to our list of Las Vegas restaurants we have to go to!

Japanese tradition in Vegas? Wow!

By FleeberGibbitz |

Look, I eat sushi a lot of places. To have the authenticity, detail and quality of sushi at a casino hotel in Las Vegas is really excellent. The chefs are not wanna-be - they are the opposite - fish samurai, with pride in the work they do. I had an extraordinary soft-shell crab roll last night, as well as some of the freshest Uni ever. I am a fan, and find Morimoto to be a fresh delight in a smoky town of steaks and burgers.

Totally taken back

By Chris J |

I’ve been to Japanese steak houses all over and when I wanted a steak and it was my buddy’s turn to pick the restaurant I did not want Japanese food. Moving forward our cook was amazing I don’t remember his name but he was from Hawaii, culinary professional, great personality and it wasn’t the typical Japanese Restaurant, nothing like you would expect. The steak was amazing but I think the salad was the biggest surprise, thou I was envious of my friends soup. This is a must try but be prepared for a price tag of about $135 per plate. Totally worth it.

Very good food and very good service

The tuna pizza is incredible, the rest of the menu is very unique too oyster foise grab yummy. Inside the MGM going to the pool. The whole MGM has been renovated and new restaurant in it

Dinner at Teppanyaki Table

By Michael A |

Excellent overall. Chef Michael is the best. We ordered Filet Mignon, Shrimp,, and Scallops along with Fried Rice. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service is impeccable at the teppanyaki table. I love the way the food is prepared on the grill and the tastes you experience with each separate bite. They provide three different types of dipping sauces. My favorite is the flavor generated from the steak type sauce.

Wonderful dinners

By GMBaker8 |

Morimoto's was a nice balance between great food and service. We tried a variety of dishes during our two visits and found them all to be notable. Service was impeccable and you can rely on your server's knowledge to help make your choices. We especially enjoyed the black cod filet and the generous chirashi bowl. If you have room for dessert, be sure to try the fiery chocolate tart. Yes, drinks are on the expensive side, but it's Las Vegas.

Spectacular!

As good as always! Excellent food and excellent service. Everything on the menu is fantastic! I highly recommend Morimito

Expensive Sushi

By Knabebug |

Great ambiance and superb quality food. Just extremely expensive. Then sushi is great. The service pleasant. Not sure if it’s worth the price.

Nice but I expected better

By karenosh |

I really looked forward to this experience but was disappointed. The knife cuts with the sashimi were great but I expected so much more

Great server great meal

By ILIVEATBEACH |

Second time at Morimoto. Great food great service. The sticky ribs are a must. Also the waygi steak, black cod sushi well everything. If you can afford it ask for the "family style dinner" I guess you call it that. You will eat a 6 or so course meal WOW!!

High end sushi and a good experience

By billybob101 |

Me and my work buddy felt like sushi so we walked into here (after walking past it every day all week). We didn’t have a reso so we grabbed a couple spots at the side bar - it a good option for a solo or a couple dinners - as busy as the main restaurant was there always seemed to be a couple open spots at the bar - and zero problems ordering food there. We shared a bunch of rolls and we were really happy. Living in Vancouver we do have access to world class sushi and this place holds up. Fresh fish and well presented and prepared. I would have liked to try some of the dishes but we were happy with our choices. Cocktail menu was tight and the beers went well with our rolls. Overall a very good experience.

Exceeded Expectations!

By Schnitzel_Konig |

From the moment we sat down our waiter Djuro took great care of us. He walked us through the menu pointing out its highilghts with a few personal suggestions and they were all spot on. After a couple delightful opening beverages (Asian pear / Japanese Mule) we were paced perfectly through the whitefish carpaccio, pork sticky ribs, chef's choice sashimi combo, shi yaki chashu bop, and finished with the fiery chocolate tart. Each and every dish was delicately prepared from the freshest ingredients with attention to detail, all were balanced and incredibly flavorful which allowed us to sample just a little of a chefs vision (one we have admired for some time). Thank you Morimoto Las Vegas and especially Djuro for a wonderful and very memorable experience. Based on our experience we will not hesitate to recommend this establishment to family and friends.Hopefully at some point soon we'll return for a second visit and as difficult as it will be not to order exactly what we had this first time we look forward to exploring more of the menu

A nearly perfect meal

By 2Travelaholics |

We were most looking forward to the wagyu appetizer. It unfortunately was the most disappointing part of the meal. As you can see in the photo, it was drowned in oil. Worse, the oil was rancid. The server said it was EVOO but it tasted nothing like it. No matter whether it was EVOO, sunflower or another, it was most definitely rancid and ruined the dish. Also, no one needs that much oil on beef carpaccio no matter what type of oil it is. If you get this dish, request that they exclude the oil. Otherwise, we adored the kakuni appetizer. We also got the kakuni entree and crispy whole fish. The latter needed a side of wedge lime but was otherwise great—no bones! The house beer is brewed by none other than Rogue and is top notch. Would return :)

Excellent atmosphere superb service , we loved the tuna taco appetizer. The drinks were a little pricey but it is Vegas

Great post-show dinner

By Vanessa T |

Post-show dinner at 915pm. It was perfect. Staff were welcoming, the table was the perfect size for 6 people. Ambiance was great, stylish decor. My adult family was visiting from Canada. They are long time restaurant owners, so can be VERY critical> but they loved it! The food was delicious. We got a bit of everything, it was good quality, fresh, and presented beautifully. The dessert was the best!! For everyone in my family to like the meal, means it was good.

Best Experience of The Trip

By LCBrad |

This was an incredible experience. Everything was perfect. The waiter was attentive and helpful without being annoying or overbearing. The food was delicious and creative. It was so fun to see the sushi chefs from our table. I would absolutely go back, hopefully it turns into our anniversary dinner. :) I didn’t get enough photos, but it was so great I just wanted to live in the moment. ❤️ Honestly this was the best overall dining experience I’ve ever had!

better than average dish in dynamic setting

By stephespinoza |

Took the entire family For dinner at this very expensive restaurant in Las Vegas, the sushi was very average, however the entrées we ordered saved the meal. The spicy green beans appetizer was a great choice instead of the same all edamame. The black cod was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed the attentive service.

Extremely disappointed

By Dee J |

We are at Morimoto’s in Philadelphia in 2013 and hoped to return one day. It was THE best meal, hands down, that we had ever had. For our 50th wedding anniversary in 2019, we decided to return. A visit to the next Philadelphia location did not work out, so we decided to go to the Las Vegas location later in the year thinking it would be the same. When in Las Vegas, we invited two friends to accompany us, thinking the menu would be the same. I hope rad many reviews of the Las Vegas restaurant and had a good idea of what the Omakase (chef’s choice) menu entailed. The omakase menu should represent the best food that day. Instead it reflected the dishes that hey had been serving every day for the last few months, perhaps longer. They promised 6 courses for $140 per person. We received a toro tartare ( an excellent raw tuna appetizer ), a wagyu beef carpaccio, a seafood stew, 5 sashimi pieces, a “ surf and turf” w lobster tail and cooked wagyu beef and a dessert. The toro tartare was very nice but needed more of the accompanying extras to make it special. The wagyu carpaccio was very nice. The seafood stew was just ok and the surf and tug was not done to perfection. The lobster tail was over cooked as was the wagyu beef. The raw fish course was not my favorite although that is my favorite food. Two of the five courses were totally inedible and the other three hour were OK. All in all, based on this experience, we would not return to Morimoto’s. The meal was the same that we would have received any night in the last several months. It is not chef’s choice of what is in season that day, but what has been popular over the last several months. To say that we were disappointed Is a minor inconvenience. We spent in excess of $400 for this meal with wine and convinced a seat friend to also spend they a mommy bars in our recommendation. No one was well served by this experience and we will learn from this experience. Perhaps Las Vegas is a different market than Philadelphia or Morimoto’s is resting on their laurels and turning out sub-par meals. Who knows, but it will take at least a $300 experiment to see if Philadelphia is waaaay better than Las Vegas and I for one will not rise to that challenge.

Remarkably impressed. Mr. Morimoto, your reputation is well deserved.

By Matthew H |

Amazing food and impeccable service. I don't say that lightly as I'm very particular. The four of us were impressed across the board. I myself had the braised black cod. Arguably the best fish I've ever had in 40 years of dinning out. I can't imagine there being a marginal dish on the menu. My first time trying Morimoto, but certainly not the last. Still trying to replicate that dish, no luck yet.

Must to go restaurant in Vegas

One of the Best Restaurants in Vegas

By Dennis Co |

What a great way to celebrate a wedding anniversary while arguably enjoying one of the best eateries in Las Vegas! Reservations are highly recommended - in fact, you will probably need one if you are adamant about dining here. Located in the MGM Grand, we were able to get to the restaurant on foot from the end of the strip. The restaurant was easy to locate and check-in with the hostesses was effortless. One very interesting note is the design, decor, and ambiance of Morimoto Las Vegas. The initial perception on the choice of decor, lighting, and furniture may invoke fusion-y vibes. From the playful LED pink cherry blossom trees along the entrance to the abstract wall decor and dark rectangular setups inside, Morimoto Las Vegas offers a very modern take on a Japanese restaurant. However, do not be fooled by this "non-classical" appearance of the restaurant. The food here is A++++ - mazing. Hopefully, my words can do it some justice because I simply cannot imagine myself being able to capture the essence and remarkable flavors of all the dishes we had. Beginning with the side of blistered shishito peppers. Wow. One, if you are a pepper lover than this dish is a must have. What truly makes this dish amazing is the delightful explosion of lime juice flavor with each bite of the pepper. The citrus notes perfectly complement the natural spice of the pepper which is augmented with the umami of what I can only explain as a blend of soy-ponzu sauce with added salt crystals. I am literally salivating as I am writing this description. Must. The next was the special of Japanese rubyfish. We opted to have it done sushi style with the cut of fish bedded over rice. In regards to the flavor, the bite didn't really need wasabi or soy sauce - it had all the natural flavoring it needed to stand out by itself. I want to say it tasted like a hybrid between mackerel and yellowtail. Delicious. For our "entree", we shared the Japanese A5 waygu on a hot stone. Here, I want to give a quick disclaimer. I am by no means a waygu connoisseur, nor do I seek to be. The premise of this specific waygu review stems from my perception and initial experiences with the waygu "hype." There was plenty of venues that I went to that offered waygu. Most of these branded waygu cuts were from either American or Australian cattle. After experiencing these, I felt a bit disappointed with waygu, never to really understand why there was all the hype to begin with. Morimoto did an excellent job at showcasing Japanese A5 waygu in a way that completely changed my mind on waygu. I never believed that a piece of meat can dissolve in your mouth as the Morimoto Japanese A5 waygu did. I am a believer now. Outstanding. Both the toro tartare and tuna pizza were equally great light eats that held their own. No complaints in this department. Being that it was our anniversary, the staff and our server went above and beyond in delivery a special desert for us which was decadent and perfectly paired with espresso. We were extremely impressed with Morimoto Las Vegas for our anniversary dinner, and for my wife's third time at the restaurant. Make Morimoto a stop if you're ever in Vegas.

Lovely environment for dinner!

By Lucy M |

We had an array of yummy dishes, family style I am not a sushi expert, so I cannot rate how good it was, unfortunately. Service was excellent, enjoyed the venue.

Loud and Expensive

By Eric H |

It was so loud I could not hear what people at my table of 4 were saying unless they shouted. The staff had to stand next to me to be heard. I have been at McDonalds with a kids birthday party that were quieter. The prices were over the top. The food was mostly good but not great with small portions. The service was very good. I would expect a much better atmosphere at this price point. Left with a headache. Will not go back.

Must try restaurant in Vegas!

By Olga Melton |

I love Morimoto restaurants so much! They can never fail. We had an awesome dinner with my husband celebrating our anniversary. Our server (tall, dark hair) and chef May did their best to make our special night memorable. All food was great. Sushi were super fresh and delicious. Everyone from the staff is super nice and hospitable. I would definitely be back! Thank you Morimoto team for such a great experience❤️ You are the best!

Calling All Epicureans

By NikkiA179 |

😋 we had a 6pm reservation on Saturday for two people. Without a reservation we likely would not have eaten here because it was full. We had drinks from a nearby bar that we needed to finish prior to dining. Our server was fantastic, she recommended the lychee 🍸 martini when I ordered a regular one, thank you! My friends angry chicken was the best he ever had per his commenting. Being vegan 🥑 I had avocado sushi . The food presentation here is an art in itself. I’ll be back!

Amazing Dinner

Having dinner here was one of the most satisfying experiences I had while in Vegas! The food was unbelievable and the staff was amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys food!

Food As Art

By Hodork |

This was my first Morimoto experience, and I was beyond impressed. My friend and I opted for the 5 course tasting menu, and were treated to an amazing, curated culinary event. Our server, bursting with pride about chef Morimoto, explained each nuance and design of a course. There was beauty and logic...and instructions needed to enhance each one. “Chef Morimoto suggests you mix these elements together then...”. The meal was one of the most precise, visually stunning, and oh yeah, it tasted good!!

Great food!

By JessicaE07 |

Fantastic service and atmosphere! The service was also excellent! We had the gyoza and the carpaccio- both very good! The laksa noodle soup was also really good! Would definitely go back.

Top notch sashimi; at a price!

By redevvl |

This is a very popular and busy Vegas spot for high quality fresh sushi and sashimi. Very nice restaurant located in a obscure area of the casino. Service was impeccable as we told our server we were going to a show and we were on a time line. She got everything to us that we ordered and had plenty of time to spare. Be prepared to shell out the bucks, but well worth it. The Hamachi and Maguro are tops for sashimi.

Outstanding contemporary Japanese cuisine

By DerAlteBach |

The food at Morimoto is nothing short of sensational. I would describe it as highly creative, contemporary Japanese cuisine. The service was as good as the food; our waiter was informed and enthusiastic. HIghly recommended.

Outstanding

By VoxVolpe |

This restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. The service was impeccable and the food was superb. The saki selection and recommendations were perfect for the food and overall every dish was delicious. This is a must if you are in this area and let the server make some recommendations.

Great steak

First off Ken is a very good waiter and super nice. I had the pork belly appetizer and it’s not what you’d expect but it’s awesome. I had the bone in ribeye which was great. This is a great spot.

My husband and I went to this restaurant in late July for dinner. The restaurant was packed with customers at 8 pm. The food was just okay though you would have higher expectation from this restaurant. We ordered 2 portion of chef combination sashimi, a few other simple dishes and a bottle of wine. Dinner was around $400 but we could hardly recall any particular dish after the dinner. BTW, bring your own wasabi! After we ordered the food, the waitress asked if we would like to have wasabi for the food. Of course we said yes, we were told since the wasabi is freshly made, it would cost $14, is that okay? Speechless!

nice... and they have take out.

one of the few places in town that allows take out. A good surprise. Decent food. no real surprises.

A raw fish lover’s paradise

By TheOrangeTraveler |

If you love sushi, sashimi, tartare, carpaccio, and mostly any other form of preparation for raw fish, you need to try Morimoto. This is an upscale restaurant located within MGM Grand in Las Vegas with an array of options on the menu. While the majority of the dishes served involve raw ingredients, you will find several fully cooked entrees on the menu. Adventure into the spicy tuna tacos, the wagyu beef carpaccio, the rock shrimp tempura and the fried gyoza as appetizers. Each is more tasty than the other. For entrees take your pick from the menu with high odds of success. Finally, if you are a Sake lover, this restaurant has a vast variety to choose from. Tip: Reserve ahead! It’s in high demand.

Where was the service?

By Dreamer742683 |

If you're a sushi fanatic, and can afford it, Morimoto may be the place you're looking for next time you visit Vegas. So why are we rating this place poorly? Simply put, the service we received on our most recent visit, not our first visit; was absolutely unacceptable for a high end restaurant. After arriving on time for our dinner reservation, we were asked to wait patiently until they could seat us. While this might be normal for most places, I'm not about waiting patiently to be seated when I've made a reservation at a place this high end. I'm also not keen on waiting to be seated when almost a third of your tables were without customers during peak hours. Keep in mind, the entire place is glass and everyone on the outside can see what's going on inside the place. After being sat, our male waiter eventually made his way to our table within about 5 minutes. He was friendly but didn't give us the impression we were in for the same amazing experience we had on our last visit. He asked us if we wanted to order drinks and we stated we were pretty much ready to give him our order since we'd reviewed the menu while waiting to be seated. We asked about a salmon chef special roll that was on the menu for a hefty price. As foodies, we'll pretty much try anything if the server recommends and not hesitate to look past the cost. On our last visit, the waiter was super helpful. He asked if we had food preferences and made sure to tell us they wanted us to have a great food experience. If this waiter had done the same, we never would've taken his recommendation to order the roll because it was seared. Within a few minutes a runner dropped the drinks and appetizers (miso soup and edamame). The miso was a bit hot so we dived right into the edamame. Next thing we know, we're talking within maybe 3 minutes, the rest of order arrived all at one time. It was bizarre! As we looked at one another in complete disbelief, we couldn't do much but laugh at a table full of food. Thinking the waiter would be over to check on us, to maybe describe the types of sashimi, we continued to eat our edamame and chat about this very rude noise coming from nearby. Turns out the place next door, not high end, shares a corridor. After about 10 minutes, it became clear the waiter had no intention on checking in on us so we decided to dig in and create our own fun experience. Without a doubt the raw fish was top notch and just as we recalled from our last trip. The presentation was also clean and done right. The roll, while not something we would've ordered if had known it was seared, was not bad but definitely not worth the price if you ask us. This also could be that we're from the Pacific Northwest and have some of the freshest salmon at even the most basis dive sushi joints. As some point all our drinks ran dry. No water and no drinks made me wonder what had happened to our waiter. At this point we both began looking around for our waiter. It didn't take long for someone to notice this and magically he appeared with another person to fill our waters. At this point we were nearly done with our meals. To our surprise, not really at this point, the waiter left again without asking us if we were enjoying our dinner, if we wanted anything else, or wanted to see dessert menu. It was strange to say the least and not a positive experience for us. :(

Post show dinner

By JerryDuck |

My wife and I had just wrapped up her business meeting and extended our stay to catch the Copperfield show and dine at Morimoto. We had high expectations and Morimoto delivered across the board. Stephen was our server and the restaurant was bustling at the 9 pm hour. He was very knowledgeable and expertly guided us through the menu and made some excellent recommendations of items we might enjoy. We chose a nice bottle of champagne and started with the amazing fois gras oysters. Morimoto really displays his creativity in combining these unlikely plate fellows. They were absolutely fantastic. I could have consumed many more but there were other amazing things to experience. The sticky ribs are an absolute must. They are a bit messy but worth every bite and wipes are at the ready to clean up. As our main dish we chose the whole fish (Branzini) with a tableside prepared fried rice with pork belly. It was incredible and a great recommendation by Stephen. We can’t wait to return to one of Morimoto’s restaurants and explore his amazing and creative cuisine.

Sushi or Sashimi before Ka!

By Rick U |

Super fresh and flawlessly prepared cuisine experience prior to the early show of 'Ka'. Also some of the best 'reserve' saki I have ever tasted, as recommended by the sommelier! Korean hot pot fish dinner was amazing!

A fab birthday dinner

By Amanda R |

We ate here for my fortieth birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful time. Steve was attentive, and front of house checked in several times as well. We had a very minor glitch when we arrived and were greeted at our table with prosecco. This is the kind of service that takes a restaurant to the next level. We preferred the yellowtail carpaccio to the tuna pizza, and I loved the laksa soup. Steve recommended a saki that was light and clean, but still complex with a hint of roses. I love Hibiki Harmony, and this felt like the sake version. Thanks for a lovely evening, Morimoto!

Dinner

By LostInTime |

I went here for dinner. Cory was my waiter and he’s the best. I had the congee (pork belly). It unique and delicious. I had the way to ribeye for my main course and it was great. This is a great place for dinner.

Great experience

By JBE137 |

Service was top notch. Food was equally impressive. The sushi was extremely fresh and we loved our appetizers (pork gyoza and ribs). You won’t be disappointed. This matched a similar experience we had earlier this year at the Maui Morimoto.

Best of the best!!!

By Billy Shoemaker |

We live in Vegas and are very familiar with high end restaurants but the food and service @ Morimoto are impeccable! I highly recommend checking out this joint next time you are in Vegas. Not only was our server (Aries) super knowledgeable about their menu and referred us some kick ass dishes but he we also had a great conversation. Even though we showed up last minute Kris (AGM) and he was able to get us a rez for my birthday. Fiery chocolate tart is literally the best desert I have ever had! Definitely the coolest sushi joint on the strip with great prices as well. Mental note - if you can't tip at LEAST 20% to these super hard working servers, stick to the all you can eat joints ;)

Dinner at Morimoto

By COJOWisconsin |

We were underwhelmed with this highly recommended restaurant. Place had a cool vibe but unfortunately we were not seated by the windows even though several tables were empty at the windows and stayed empty for half our meal. Plus they made us wait 15 minutes with a reservation when they had empty tables. We had the unagi and tuna sushi which were decent but not as good as we have in Arizona. And the unagi came at a cool temp when it’s always been served warm all over the country. We also had the kakuni and 2 rolls- the Cali and spicy tuna. All three were decent not extraordinary. Prices were what you expect in Vegas. Our server Mari was the best thing about the meal. Friendly, attentive and patient.

Disappointed

By Cameron F |

Had saved for finale and what a let down. Subpar sushi, table side rice with yellow tail tasted fishy- couldn’t eat it. Husband got spicy chicken with peppers and side of potatoes, he thought ok. So not up to the other restaurants we went to! Wasted food and money! Had I not hurt my husbands feelings as he was excited to take me there I would’ve complained to manager. Mine was that bad.

Superb

By SJL1605 |

We loved our meal here. The tuna tataki was absolutely outstanding, as was the dessert. To be honest the whole meal was amazing. Service excellent too. One of the best meals we had in Vegas and would highly recommend.

Morimotos Joke

By Steve D |

Don't waste your time. Despite having a reservation for weeks, we still had to wait 15 minutes to get in (as did everyone else with a reservation). No menu, just QR code nonsense, the antithesis of fine dining. So loud I couldn't even hear my spouse sitting 3' away on the other side of the table. NOT fine dining. More like your local hometown Asian restaurant. We weren't inclined to spend $300-$400 here, so we left. Definitely recommend that people looking for fine dining avoid this disaster.

Soft Shell Crab roll will haunt me until I return

By paymeami2 |

As the title states, eat the soft shell crab roll. OMG it was amazing. I had the soy glazed cod. It was very good but $40 was painful to pay for a piece of $8 fish. I know Iknow, its Vegas. Thats why I ordered it. My husband had the whole fried fish with a tofu sauce. It was amazing! We sat at the sushi bar and everything they took out looked so fresh and beautiful. My greatest disspointment was not getting back there a second time during my trip for another crab roll! I hope my review was helpful?! If so, please click "YES"!

Great for All Occassions

My wife and I have eaten here as a couple and with a dozen business associates and every experience is wonderful. The cuisine is perfect and the staff professional. Highest ratings for this jewel.

Outstanding food and stellar service at Morimoto inside the MGM Grand!

By JetstreamSurfer |

We visited Morimoto inside MGM Grand, for our first time on December 13, 2024. We made a dinner reservation the day before, as we are a family of 11 adults. With the NFR wrapping up, concerts and many other attractions drawing large crowds, without reservations we most likely would have waited a rather long time to be seated. If you have a party of more than four, personally I would suggest making reservations. Our table was ready at the reserved time. Only initial disappointment was that they were unable to accommodate us at a Hibachi table so we dined at a large table, nicely made up of other small tables put together for our group. (Short side note here: the tables lined up perfectly. No uneven surfaces at the table seams or “rocking” from any unstable legs. The freshly pressed tablecloths gave the appearance of one long, uninterrupted dining table.) The overall ambiance was pleasant and most notably we all enjoyed the soft glow of pretty pink cherry blossom lit trees that were both outside and inside of the restaurant. The dining room was a moderately lit albeit not at all too dim and not so bright as to be uncomfortable, amount of lumens. Our server Ken, was fabulous and meticulously on point. He greeted us warmly and professionally delivered suggestions for us while patiently explaining different items we inquired about. He collected our cocktail orders and entered our appetizer requests while allowing us un pressured time to ponder our entree choices. The Sommelier presented my husband with a large wine list and we were able to select from a wide price range and variety of top tier bottles. Unfortunately I neglected to take pictures of and am also unable to recall the names of the eye catching and delicious pre dinner cocktails that several ordered at our table. Everyone who ordered them very much enjoyed the signature adult beverages that were served. Our edamame, gyoza and sliced pepper fin appetizers were simply scrumptious and took the edge off of our hunger while we waited for our main dinner. Ken nailed the mark for us when he, noting our inability to collectively decide what we wanted to order, suggested we try the $120 per person, samples of much of the menu. Ugh, I do not recall what the name of this option was. Ken assured us that there would be plenty of each item for all of us to share and he was spot on. Every single item was melt in your mouth perfection! There was more than enough food and variety for our ravenous family to enjoy. We raved after each incredible new dish arrived looking exquisitely beautiful and with the amazing taste to match the appearance. As we slowed down in our consumption rate, Ken matched our pace in delivery. Eventually we were pleasantly full and unable to eat another bite. Empty plates were consistently cleared from the table often, by a variety of friendly team members as new delicious dishes arrived. We were brought small hot towels to wipe our hands after a couple of the dishes that left a slight sticky residue on our fingers. These were also promptly cleared when finished. We opted for house still water during our meal and our water glasses never ran dry. If you are looking for a delectable dining experience combined with stellar service and appealing ambiance, Morimoto is a must. The cost with cocktails and bottles of wine is not in the low range however for us, the service and flavors of our food made it well worth our time and our money. Morimoto inside the MGM Grand, we will be back!

Amazing Sushi

By Kristina |

We ordered the Toro Tartare, Laksa Noodle Soup, and the $100 Chef's Selection sushi. Sushi: The sushi was such a treat and probably the best sushi I've ever had in North America. I went to Japan a year ago and this sushi was the closest in comparison. Every single piece tasted authentic and delicious. Toro Tartare: This was a beautiful dish, but pretty small in size. We had two small bites per person. I would not be interested in ordering this again. Laksa Noodle Soup: This was my least favourite dish. It was pretty lack lustre and all we could taste was the coconut milk. I wish that some of the other ingredients in the dish were highlighted a bit more. Overall, this was a great experience but next time I will only order sushi. The service was also great and the sushi chef's were very polite.

Great food and people watching.

By JJC |

Enjoyed an birthday dinner here with the family. Teppanyaki was excellent. Chef was friendly and we had a great time. Service was good if not excellent. Food was very good.

Not bad, but not worth the money.

By GDGandTBiggs |

So we had a hard time on this one. We weren’t sure if it was a 4/5 or 3/5 star restaurant. The service was good, top notch. We gave that a 5. The decor was solid, about a 4.5. The food was ok. Nothing jumped out at us, though all was tasty. We gave that closer to a 3.5. And then there’s the price, which for the food served was way too high. We gave value a 2/5. While we ate we thought we were happy, but as soon as we left we wished we had gone elsewhere. We did t try any of the steaks, but we recommend steering clear of the sushi. Over priced flavorless rolls. Doubt I would return, though the service was solid.

Prince made it Perfect

By lisalibra74 |

First time dining here (have visited the one in Orlando) and wanted to try some new things. Our server Prince did not steer us wrong! We took his recommendations and had the hamachi tacos and the whitefish carpaccio- which was to die for! Next we had the yellowtail bim bop which is prepared tableside and sea bass. Everything was excellent. If Prince is your server - let him order for you!

great (fusion) Japanese

By Antonio P |

We had the wagyu beef carpaccio, sushi, pork belly with rice and the black cod. Everything was great besides the pork belly dish. It lacked a bit of taste and flavor. Great service and professional waiters, though the plates came in a little slow.

It’s ok.

By Quinton A |

The environment was relaxing and the waitress was great. The shrimp appetizers were great. In addition the wagyu was a nice tasteful experience. The organization of it all was great. Unfortunately, overall my experience here was moderately underwhelming. The sashimi and sushi was absolutely basic with minimal to no flavor and for the price charged I feel they could up the bar vastly. The angry chicken was good on flavor. Honestly with the prices I expected better quality.

Great place to eat

By Timothy M |

The service was above and beyond most casino based restaurants I have gone to. The food is also well thought out, and not only is presented well, it was fresh and tasted amazing. I will definitely make this a regular stop when I am in Vegas.

Morimoto fan

By Christian Shana M |

This was our second Morimoto restaurant (we've been to his Philadelphia location) and this one did not disappoint. I had two specific dishes I wanted to try (toro tartare and Ishi Yaki Chashu Bop) and they did not disappoint. Steven our waiter was great - knowledgeable and timely - and helped us find our new favorite sake. We even left with a signed Morimoto menu! Great experience.

Delicious

By GCK76 |

Some of the best sushi I had in the U.S. lovely ambience. Laksa was delicious as well. If your budget is not huge, there is a good selection of more affordable items on the menu. Cocktails are great but all very sweet- which is not my thing. It would be great to expand this selection to accommodate different preferences. I really wanted to grab few cocktails but as delicious as they were, it was impossible to drink more than one. With that being said- we went there 3 times. Quite an accomplishment in the city of endless restaurants!

Pleasant Surprise

By Dan S |

What a wonderful meal, outstanding/impressive service! If you are on a budget you need to skip this place, but if you want an experience enjoy it! We had the yellow tail cooked at the table and the wagyu filet, it was wonderful. Also enjoyed the duck fried rice, so good. But the desert show was fantastic with the flaming chocolate tart. Was so good, and over will be back!

A good dining experience

By Krista F |

We were really excited to be able to go to this restaurant during our visit. The staff was friendly and fairly attentive. It’s a limited menu but there are good selections. I am a fan of maki, so got the California roll, the toro and the shrimp rolls. I wasn’t a fan of the crab and the shrimp wasn’t awesome, the rice was kind of hard, but the toro was awesome. For dinner I got the black cod and that was also awesome. The fish was melt in your mouth perfectly cooked. Overall, I would avoid the maki next time. A random restaurant we picked in Japan town, SF was much better, but definitely pick the cod!

Salt is your friend

By Sarah |

I have been wanting to eat at Morimoto Las Vegas for a while now, and when I finally got a chance to go, I was so unimpressed by the food. We came here for my birthday, and I kind of wish I had spent my money elsewhere. Most of the food needed salt, was very bland, and just mediocre. There was nothing that gave the food items that “WOW” factor that you expect from a celebrity chef's restaurant. The items we ordered were the most “Popular Dishes” featured on Yelp, such as the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, Tuna Pizza, Duck Duck Goose, and the Toro. The Wagyu Beef Carpaccio was the biggest disappointed out of all the items we ordered. Lack of salt and too much of whatever oil they put on it, where all you taste was the oil. The Duck Duck Goose was the second because the duck was overcooked and chewy. You might ask, “why not have them take it back?” Well, by this time, we were just over it. Lack of flavor is just that. The only saving grace to our meal was the fiery chocolate desert. Presentation was on point. Overall, the wait staff and service at Morimoto is excellent, and you definitely are paying for that level of service. I just wish this very expensive food was up to par. I would not be eating here again and would not recommend this place to any of my friends.

Outstanding Ribeye!

By orlandofoodlover18 |

The ribeye was amazing! Perfectly cooked and sliced and so flavorful. Are drinks were incredibly refreshing. The spicy king crab was also a hit as our app. I highly recommend this place if you're in Vegas

Amazing service

By Steven B |

We have been to many if not all Japanese food restaurants in US and elsewhere. This is by far the most amazing experience we have ever had. Everything was beautiful fresh and very delicious. The Sake master Ju-Gee? (Sorry not sure if that’s spelled correctly) was extremely knowledgeable and helped us pick the perfect accompaniment to our meals. From beginning to end an unforgettable experience.

Great Sushi at a great price on the Strip!

By Cosmo W |

With so many Sushi choices in Las Vegas, it's hard to be impressed, and I find so many of them are very pretentious, only if to try and justify the exorbitant price. While Morimoto is expensive, it is not nearly as expensive as others around, and the best thing is- it is NOT pretentious. There is no upselling of anything, the staff are very friendly and seem to want you to be happy and enjoy your meal, no matter the cost. The Saké is quite extensive, and some are quite expensive- but again, they will not try to upsell you on that either. I was there with a business colleague, we ordered the Chef's Combination Sushi for $100.00, and with 20 pieces of Nigiri Sushi and 2 rolls, it was plenty for the both of us. And that is a great price, ESPECIALLY for the Las Vegas Strip!

TOP NOTCH Across The Board

By Crazedhousewife |

We can’t say enough about this place. The service, food, craft cocktails, and overall vibe had us wanting to come back for more! There was not one part about this experience that left us disappointed. The sushi was fresh and beautiful. The unique appetizers, entrees and desserts were all presented perfectly and tasted amazing. The staff may have been the best we experienced all weekend!

Great meal

By LostInTime |

This was one of the best meals that I ever have eaten. I hate the rib appetizer first. It was great. The waygu ribeye was also great. And the duck fried rice was also great. Cory was a great waiter.

Terrible Service

By ArtBaraan |

Went there to grab a drink and appetizers and very lackluster is an understatement. We sat at the bar where there was open seats and our bartender ignored us for a good 20 minutes before asking if we wanted a drink. Didn't offer a menu or asked if we wanted to hear the types of Sake they had. We ordered a couple of drinks and some oysters and the oysters that came looked dry and was stuck to the shell. For them to serve it to people is a disgrace. They should have looked it over and selected other oysters before sending it out. On top of that they did not give us any utensils for it. We ended up using the spoons for the sauce to separate our anemic oysters from the shell. We paid the bill right away and just left.

Always the best

By Maxxi71 |

For years I have frequented the MORIMOTO restaurant in down town Manhattan and I must say that even here in Las Vegas the quality level is maintained Decent prices if you don't take wine In New York I remember it being more expensive

Morimoto proves he is the Iron Chef

By zyal8r808 |

We've been to a few of Morimoto's restaurants. The consistency of the food is always what we expect. The food is not overdone but very tasty and balanced. The Wagyu Carpaccio is a must. One of my favorite bites anywhere. Also try some Sake. They have an extensive list of selections.

Infamous

By RSLM11 |

We had a selection of sushi and makis from the chef which were utterly banal and not super fresh - sushi shop is extraordinary. But above all there was a dish containing sea urchin which was simply infamous because of the texture but above all the freshness - even though we love sea urchins. An absolutely crazy price for nothing transcendent!

Memorable dining experience on the Las Vegas Strip. Great food, good ambiance, very knowledgeable and helpful staff.

By Maraltersakian |

Best dining experience in a city full of amazing dining options! The plates were beautifully presented, the tastes exquisite and top noch service.

Would not recommend

By Run For A Reason |

The portions of our dinner were extremely small in size. The price was very high for what we got. The food was good as well as the service. I would not recommend.

Strip mall quality sushi.

By MattandSimona |

First of all I fully expected to pay a lot of money. And we did. It was around $1,000 for four people. I didn't even necessarily expect the sushi was going to be amazing. But I expected "very good." It wasnt. I would say that it was at or below the average strip mall sushi place in Los Angeles. This isn't a place I would even go back to if it was around the corner from my house and cheap. Again, just not very good (stale, tough). Sometimes I think the ratings for places like this are just by people that are blown away by the fact that they spent so much money and feel compelled to write great reviews. I don't get it.

Poor acoustics

By Bart E |

With six friends on a big table is was unpossible to understand each other, because of the loud music and bad acoustics. Also the waiter who was topping up our water, to sell more bottles was a little irritating. You can make money with serving good sushi, not with selling one extra bottle of water on the end of the evening. Sushi was ok but not very good of surprising. Don’t think we will come back here. The Asian restaurant that was in this same place before was much better!

A top notch dining experience

By orange-u-tall |

The quandary of being a sushi eater in a “strong” sushi Mecca such as Las Vegas is having to weigh the affordability and value of a local place (often with AYCE specials) with the grade of fish found in a pricey establishment on the touristy Strip. In my culinary view, both have their respective places. Sure, the local haunts don’t whack your wallet as much while feeding you well. But there really is a noticeable difference with grade A sashimi and such. It is a distinction I could even make during a blind tasting, and I am by no means a restaurant reviewer. Morimoto does so many things well. Desserts and cocktails and even beer offerings that are leaps and bounds above a local spot. Creativity (a sashimi pizza?!) and service that is peerless in the industry.

One of the Best Meals Ever!

By Pat B |

Lisa was our waitstaff and not only was she good, she was knowledgeable and gave us great advice. We started with our Sauvignon Blanc and the Wagyu Carpaccia. It was exceptional. Then we moved to sushi. We ate the fatty tuna which was exceptiona;, my husband was very leary of the raw fish; however, he loved it and ordered another. I tried the amberjack and it was exceptional also. Then we had the Maki Shrimp Tempura roll, again it was fantastic. We moved on to a bottle of Saki and our entrees, my husband had the Ishi Yaki Chashu Bop, which was really interesting, o hot stone bowl of rice and spices to which pork belly and egg was added, and cooked tableside. I had the braised black cod with ginger which literally melted in my mouth. As much as we enjoyed our dinner, the finally was the Fiery Chocolate Tart, which was really a ball of ice cream, marshmallow and a chocolate shell. It was flamed table side and defiantly ended the meal with a show stopper. Needless to say, we will be back our next visit. I really want to experiment with the sushi and sashimi, and watch the chefs prepare it more closely.

Skip it. Go for Wolfgang's or another place.

By Sean P |

Awful service and checkout. Fish was mediocre with 0 flavor. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Wolfgang Puck's next door is wayyyyy better for the same price.

Try the Sushi combo, excellent

By Roger K |

Stopped in for dinner on a Thursday evening and sat at the bar. No waiting, order immediately and service is good. The Sushi Combo is an excellent choice if you want the variety experience. It is $50 but comes with 10 different pieces along with a roll of eight. Soooooooo good. Also had the Mix Green salad (a tower of greens, very tasty) and the Spicy King Crab. Legs already split open, you just pull the meat out. Very nice. "Catch" in Aria is one of my favorites in Vegas for Fish and Sushi, but after eating here for my 5th time, I remember how good this place is. With one drink, my bill was $126.65 not including tip.

Fell short of expectations……..

By Alison1207 |

Exceptional service, amazing sticky ribs and gazpacho! Husband enjoyed his sashimi but I did not care for my sushi …..soft shell crab and California roll that they replaced it with. Soft shell crab was heavy duty and the cal roll was just wrong. Have had better from Whole Foods! On the plus side Steve our server was amazing his recommendations were spot on. Drinks were great too. Major disappointment was the management not enforcing dress code. Their website says business casual. This is a super nice place and I am paying big bucks for a great dining experience. I am not happy to see disrespectful people being allowed in the restaurant In flip flops, tee shirts and sports shorts. Lowers the aesthetic of the dining experience and the reputation restaurants work hard to portray. I know you guys need the $$$ after lockdown BUT!!! Oh, And the ladies bathroom needed supplies and a darn good clean.

Outstanding. Incredible food

By Anne and BobJ |

Outstanding. It was an incredible meal. I am very glad I stopped in. For starters, the waiter was great, answering all of my questions and making suggestions. Had the toro tartare for a started. It was unreal, I have never had anything like that in my life. Then the chef’s choice sashimi. Excellent variety of seafood. I had to try the smoked eel and the uni after that. I can’t wait to come back and try more. It is not a cheap meal, but it is a life experience meal. Give it a try and be open to trying new things. You might be surprised.

Amazing Service and food

By Jonathan S |

Came here for our 10 year anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it! I advised them of our anniversary beforehand and they really went the extra mile to make it a memorable experience. Morimoto happened to be in the restaurant that night which made it extra special. Particular highlights were the japaneae A5 wagyu beef, Toro tartar (so fun!), oyster foie gras and the whitefish carpaccio, The general manager went above and beyond and we really appreciated it

Excellent flavors handled with harmony and delicacy

By JonCSBC |

Chef Morimoto's latest opening here is a gem. The subtle flavors just pop and everything works well together on the plate. Nothing overwhelms the other. Such is the demonstrated mastery of the deft hand of a formidable Iron Chef. We had the Toro tartare to start. We've seen this on pictures and on Iron Chef. Delicate flavors that are just amazing. Scoop some of the tartare and add some of the wasabi, nori, and caviar on top with your chopsticks, and put the whole scoop in your mouth...…. Another wonderful cold appetizer is the Wagyu carpaccio -- delicate beautiful wagyu with just the right amount of soy and sweet garlic. For the entrees, the duck duck goose was just incomparable. We saw it on Iron Chef and had to try. The soup was rich and deeply flavorful, and the duck was fall off the bone delicate. Perfectly cooked and full of game flavor. The duck confit rice was a perfect complement, infused with flavor. We also had the surf and turf. The snake river farms wagyu here is one of the best filets we've had. Rich in beef flavor and tender. The Hamachi was delicate and perfectly balanced with black garlic and spice. Perfect combination! We finished with a blueberry sorbet and compote which was just stunning. Every dish was fun to eat and a delightful surprise to the palate. Worth every penny and less expensive than the tasting menus you get anywhere in Vegas, but every bit as satisfying if not more. The service was caring and attentive. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable with the menu. Good if we got her every time! There would be 3 places we'd visit again and again in Vegas for dining -- Morimoto, Joel Robuchon and Guy Savoy. Experiences that will last a life-time...

Phenomenal Experience

By Thomas H |

Amazing service, amazing food, amazing drinks. Eddie and Alejandro were phenomenal. Eddie personalized all of his recommendations to what we were looking for and was extremely professional. He recommended the chef’s selection for sashimi, sake that catered to our palate, and a great Japanese whiskey. We will definitely be back!

Great Asian cousine

By Natalie M |

Pricey but delicious. Excellent service and worth the price. The wagu ribeye was the best and the sushi was great. We were surprised how full we were when we left.

The food was FANTASTIC and Jeffery, our Server, was WONDERFUL!!! We enjoyed the 10 piece Sushi Combo, Duck Fried Rice, and J Vineyard's "Black Label" Pinot Noir. The Sushi Combo is a chef's choice and beautifully presented. Years ago we had the Duck Fried Rice at Morimoto's in Napa; it was superb then and again tonight. Over the years, we have enjoyed several J Vineyard wines, but this was our first experience with their "Black Label" Pinot. It was so good we went shopping for it the next day to take a few bottles home. KUDOS to the Morimoto management and staff for a truly memorable dining experience!

10 star plus easily!

By Jackie F |

10 star dinner and service. Everything about this dinner and experience was superb from the money we were seated. Our server, Aries, was literally the most attentive server we have ever had. We had someone in our party with an allergy, Aries went above and beyond in making sure everything was perfect. The sushi was incredible! Hats off to the Shokunin! We didn’t get a picture of the Tiger roll - it was exceptional. Every entree was melt in your mouth delicious. The only photo we got was of the seabass. Best seabass ever. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful restaurant with fresh delicious Sushi

By Rocio |

The sushi was so fresh and delicious!! We also tried the bbq ribs on the appetizer menu, they were fall off the bone amazing!! Little pricey but fresh sushi usually is!

Wonderful Meal & Experience

By Bobhtravels |

Morimotos did not disappoint! The black cod was melt in your mouth buttery and delicious. Spicy Tuna roll (with fatty tuna) was the best sushi I’ve ever had. My wife had the pork and we shared the duck fried rice. Plating, as you would expect, was beautiful. Great experience and we will be back!!

sushi date

By Christal S |

cute little date night spot! service was great and the food was worth every penny! we sat by the bar, not too crowded. our service gave great food suggestions!

Delicious Chirashi

By Theresa W |

Great food. We had a wonderful time with beer and wine. I always have Plum wine and husband has Kirin Beer. He had Chirashi and I had a Japanese dish cooked at the table. Fish that is served raw with sushi rice and pickled veggies. The stone bowl is very hot and they cook the fish at your table and mix the items. It was deliciously fresh and tasty. I still thought I would enjoy the Chirashi more. It has a wide variety of sashimi!

Delicious Japanese food served exquisitely

By Mayalavender |

I did not have a reservation but I was told I could sit in the bar and order from the full menu, so that's what I did. I only have had a few things but everything was excellent. I started with the Tuna tartare. The presentation was stunning, 5 stars, and tasted wonderful. The oysters with Foi gras and Uni are not to new missed...I also enjoyed the wagyu style beef carpaccio all along with a nice glass of white wine.

What a Difference a Year Makes

By RickB_SJC |

Participated in a large group dinner there the other night and was somewhat disappointed. The Angry Chicken wasn't angry and was more bone than meat and the sliced Pork Loin was very dry. The saving grace of the meal, which was as good as my last visit, was the Braised Black Cod. It was flavorful and fresh and melts in your mouth. The sushi, of course, is perfectly made and also very fresh. Unfortunately, with so many other choices in the area, I don't think I'll come back here on my own.

Disappointed

By TexasEric |

Let me start by saying Morimoto NYC is the best meal I have ever had in my life. I know they are closed now. LV did not meet those expectations. The service was okay, but I’m patient I know places are getting back up to speed. We got the sushi platter recommended by the waiter and it was good, but not Morimoto standards. Seems like he just sold his name to a decent sushi place.

Good restaurant with a bad server

By Ian |

The food was quite good but the server had a really bad attitude. That is a deal breaker. Bad server, bad experience. She also dropped dishes during the meal. Totally unacceptable.

Wow!

By Serge514 |

Quite frankly one of the best if not the best meal i have ever had! Dined here for my wifes birthday and it was the best decision all vacation! Granted the prices are a little steep it is well worth trying. Had the beef carpaccio, tuna pizza, ribs, duck confit fried rice and chef selection sushi. Cannot forget the Fiery Chocolate Tart! Absolutely must stop by when in vegas!

Best Sushi and Dining Experience

By Brittni B |

I am a lover of sushi and this is by far the best sushi I have ever had. The espresso martini was beyond delicious. I very rarely get dessert but, I am so happy I did. 10/10! I will be back on my next Vegas trip!

Beyond Expectation

By Zevin S |

This place is expensive 15 per Nigiri but the fish is amazing. It is worth every penny if you have a passion for sushi. We were shocked at the quality of everything we ordered, it was all beyond expectation. We will be back next time we're in town.

Big Disappointing

By Avidang |

We came with high expectations, but the basic sushi we ordered was disappointing. It was below average and even had shrimp shells in it. This was not what we expected from a restaurant led by an Iron Chef.

Not worth the price

By Heather |

I had a salmon avocado roll and some oh-toro sushi. The sushi/sashimi is priced per 1 piece, not 2 like most places. The sushi had wasabi on it hidden between the tuna and the rice which I didn't like. It all tasted fine (except the wasabi surprise) but it absolutely was not worth the price. After a tip it was over $100.

dinner

By PVC888 |

One of my favorite places to eat great, fresh and beautifully plated food. The hamachi melted in your mouth, the black cod was prepared to perfection....yum all around....

Need to visit

By astrasport |

We chose this restaurants for family dinner during our very short vocation to Vegas and it was not disappointment. All staff starting from the front desk was excellent. You feel important there- that is great! We are very experienced diners and the food was beyond out high expectations and the server explained everything, did not rush us and seemed to be very involved. Your bill will be high but it worth it. I can say that I was in many high dining celebrity chefs restaurants in Vegas, the States and in Europe and this one was probably my favorite!

Almost perfect! Highly recommended.

By Dan W |

Ambiance, service, food all excellent. Water never empty, dishes cleared regularly, friendly staff. Every bite delicious. Only downside - my Moscow mule was weak, could not taste (or feel) the vodka. Still five stars!

Morimoto is a must try Japanese fusion in LV

By Lucky L |

Best Japanese food I’ve had in Vegas. Definitely a must. We had such a good experience we went thrice when we were there for our week long trip

Teppanyaki at its best!!!

By CaiusP |

We went for the teppanyaki in this awesome restaurant. Book the night before to avoid disappointment. We had Chef David preparing for the three of us and was an amazing experience. It is not about the show! It is about food quality and recipes - nothing compared with other similar restaurants! From grilled romaine lettuce to huge seared scallops and amazing lamb chops! With a nice Sapporo beer, this was one heck of a night. Great service and chef David was awesome ! We loved it! We will be back!

Mediocre, overpriced, hibachi restaurant

By RPCVtraveler |

Had dinner here last night. We were told a table was ready, but still waited 15 minutes to be seated. The sushi was pretty uninspiring; the primary flavor came from dabs of wasabi under the fish. As to the entrees, our first was a tableside "cooking" presentation that was like watching someone stir potato salad. Low entertainment value: the most exciting part was the slow shaping of rice into a dome. The food itself did not outpace the presentation. The pork belly was extremely dry and the dish strongly resembled Trader Joes frozen fried rice. We also ordered the cod entree, which was just a single piece of fish slapped onto a pool of extra-sugary sauce. There were no accompaniments/sides besides a tiny garnish of ginger. The restaurant fails on ambiance as well, it is directly on a walkway between the pool and the hotel elevators; our dinner was interrupted by a pack of frat bros doing a Maori Haka in the hallway (no judgment of the guys, just an interesting aspect to this supposed fine dinning experience). As for the price tag, it was over $150 for 4 pieces of sushi and the 2 small entrees, including tip. Oh and the green tea was free . . . whoopee.

1st thing, do not have a large

By Hank956 |

1st thing, do not have a large meal earlier in the day before you come here..... 4th Morimoto restaurant I have visited. And not disappointed. Since we were still kinda full from lunch we opted for several small plates. THANK YOU Matthew T for making the meal a complete experience. Great suggestions. The Pear cocktail was wonderful, refreshing, cleansing and with a great punch. Started off with Sticky ribs, OMG these were to die for, fork tender, great crust and wonderful flavor Waygu carpaccio, 4/5, it needed a bit of citrus to complete this dish, good flavor, Yellowtail Tacos, small fried goyza shells with tuna and the fixings, Vikki stated “Damn freaking tacos”, best thing so far. Entrees Softshell crab roll, 4/5, not the best softshell crab roll ever but pretty close. Great flavor, just needed some sweet glaze drizzle. Yellowtail Bop, done at your table, great flavor. Dessert, had both options. Jasmine, lemon, blueberry pannacota, killed it for the night, great layering of flavors, bottom lemon jellylike with jasmine foam, streusel crumbs, and blueberry ice cream, WOW, To the moon baby, forgot the lemon sherbet, very tart but wonderful. Fiery chocolate, Great presentation, and great flavor, and taste, fresh strawberries and blueberries, WOW, what a great experience. The Covid precautions were in place and very comfortable, coming from a public health nurse working COVID. The atmosphere was wondering, another great setup.

Morimoto dinner

By JEANETTE W |

Make a reservation and enjoy. Yes everything is pricey but what isn’t right now. My family of 6 ate dinner with our reservations & had a great time. Ordered several orders of sticky ribs, sushi, tacos, rice, fried fish & wagyu rib eye. Everything was excellent & kids enjoyed themselves. We’ve been there before & was just as good as last time. We definitely recommend if this is your taste. Small portions and big price tag. We enjoyed and got what we expected. Will be returning! Also great service from the wait staff!

Gorgeous restaurant

By LaKrystal G |

Gorgeous restaurant with attentive staff. Food was okay—nothing major but definitely checked a box for us to say that we have been. Our food was prepared table side which was nice.

Unique and Delicious!

By Bucket List Living |

A perfect location for us since we were staying at the MGM with tickets for David Copperfield. Our server helped us choose Saki since it was the first time ordering. The Sticky Ribs for our appetizer were amazing- like no other texture or flavor! We also shared a Dragon Roll which was very good. We shared the entree which was Yellow Tail and rice cooked at the table. Very good flavor. Since we were celebrating my birthday we ordered the Chocolate Sphere which was enough for 4. Perfect for chocolate lovers!

Uneven, Some sublime dishes, some average

By joeseytucson |

Would give it 4 stars if it weren't so pricey. Entree portions are small. Sushi quality overall was quite good but not outstanding, with a few exceptions.. The Toro was delish, and quality of the salmon was excellent. The signature sea bass entree was off the charts wonderful. Our sushi assortment was uneven. For the price I expected more, IE at $100 for 40 pc I didn't expect tomago and pieces of a standard sushi roll instead of all nigiri. Next time I might skip the sushi and try some of their other dishes. The pear cocktail was excellent as well.

Expensive but a great meal

By JAMTL |

My youngest loves sushi and watches Iron Chef so this was our surprise for her. She was so excited and she was really happy with the meal. Bear in mind though... it is pricy!

Dine here and get food poisoning

By Kaitlin F |

worst experience I have ever encountered. The sushi was mediocre at best. Nothing special about it coming from a restaurant that charges big money for their dishes. It’s no different than getting fast food sushi. The spicy tuna roll gave my sister and I food poisoning and ruined our trip. Everything else we ate was either cooked or vegetables but the tuna in the roll was raw so we assume it’s the tuna. It is the only meal her and I shared everything and since we were both sick and the other two girls we went with weren’t it was most definitely the sushi. On top of food poisoning, I was hospitalized with a kidney infection because the bacteria from the food poisoning got into my kidneys. I explained to my doctor the events that unfolded and she told me it had to be the sushi since my sister was also sick and we ate the same thing. Needless to say be aware of raw fish at this restaurant. I love sushi, I live on a beautiful island and we eat tons of fish but I’m pretty sure it will be a long time until I trust raw fish after this experience. I wasn’t worried because you would think fancy restaurants with Iron chefs would be more careful. This goes to show that even though the restaurant is nice, it doesn’t guarantee the food is good. I mean good on all grounds, presentation, taste, bacteria free!! I don’t want anyone else’s trip to be ruined and that’s why I am writing this review. Rant over.

Melt in your mouth sushi

By AvidTravs |

Although Morimoto is a little pricier than most sushi restaurants, it's definitely worth the cost. The sushi was delicious, and our server was fantastic (he took his time to explain different menu items including a wide variety of sake, and was attentive despite it being very busy). Fish was fresh and beautifully displayed.

Morimoto

By EvanGuthrie |

Morimoto at MGM Grand is a great place to go for quality sushi and Japanese food. I have been impressed with everything that they have available here and the atmosphere that they have created here. I have been impressed with all of the meals that I have had from here.

Excellent service, amazing food. I recommend the oyster foie gras.

By Julie M |

Excellent service. Our waiter, Prince, was very kind and accommodating. They were very prepared to deal with allergies.

Best teppanyaki ever

By Titus |

Got the teppanyaki dinner(ask for chef david). Best teppanyaki i have ever been too. More about the food than the show.

Unagi!

By Christine Z |

This place is amazing. Chefs combination sushi platter is so good, especially the unagi. Service is excellent. The rock shrimp tempura appetizer was delectable. Ishi yaki buri bop was fun and delicious. Food prepared in a hot stone bowl at the table. Overall great food in a restaurant committed to quality

Very good experience

By darlayne |

We had reservations for 6:00 pm, but they were able to get us in bout an hour early. We didn’t have the typical California rolls, but tried something a bit different. You have to try the sticky ribs. Melt in your mouth. Really enjoyed the Toro Tatar as well as the stained glass sushi.(as I call it) A very nice experience.

Excellent visit...great sticky ribs!

By Apassionfortravel11 |

We LOVED Morimoto Las Vegas!! We had been to the Waikiki location and it was our first time at this location in Vegas. Beautiful setting, amazing food and service! Their sticky ribs, sushi, and popcorn shrimp with wasabi were all sensational. We even tried their kobe/wagu sampler for the first time. The cocktails were lovely and our waiter was awesome. We would definitely go back!

Expensive. Worth it.

By CMKNY |

Wonderful dinner, a variety of excellent dishes shared. Service was excellent as well. This is one of those places that's worth what you pay for the food and the service. Sublime.

Superb Sushi

By nicolebH9050XQ |

The food was delicious. The roasted vegetables were incredibly flavourful and the steak was melt in your mouth fantastic and the sushi was succulent. This is somewhere I would come back to again and again.

Wow! I can't wait to come back

By Beth S |

We were lucky to get a reservation at the Iron Chef Morimoto's Restaurant! The food was better the best Japanese Cuisine we have ever had. Our waiter Ken recommenced several dishes for each course and each was spot on. We had the rock shrimp tempura, the maki (in the squares), the Yelllow fin & pork rock cooked fried rice. We even (almost) left room for the chocolate dessert. All were more delicious than the previous. Restaurant was also beautifully decorated and let you forget you were eating in a Casino. I really wish they had offered a "souvenir" type section, just to get a little reminder of our visit. We can't wait to come back.

Outstanding

By Tom P |

Very innovative and consistently excellent. All menu items are a great choice. Do not miss Morimoto.

Great Meal Great atmosphere

By Eric L |

This is the real deal. The food was so good we highly recommend to everyone. We will definitely return..

So disappointing

By Monica H |

We were staying at the MGM and excited to have dinner at Morimoto because the dining room looked beautiful, we love sushi and it had gotten really good reviews. What a disappointment! The sticky ribs were actually delicious, but all of the sushi was gummy and bland. The dessert was a flavorless pana cotta that barely had any sweetness but instead had little salty bits of cookie, plain whipped cream and a bland meringue. It was one of the worst desserts I think I've ever had at a high end restaurant. Our meal cost almost $200. Such a waste.

Great service and food

By NorthCarolina621 |

I thought the sushi rolls were excellent and the prices were fairly reasonable, especially for Vegas standards. A six piece roll for $8 to $12 seemed good to me, and as I stated the food is excellent. The lemon/blueberry dessert was one of the best desserts I ever had. Usually I go for chocolate or cheesecake, but this was light and rich at the same time. Really a great way to end the meal,.

Good food but don't expect 'out of this world'

By FamilyGuyLA |

Heard good things so gave it a try. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Had sushi for appetizers and it was good, as were the sticky ribs. Tried the fried fish (great) and the Ishi Yaki Buri Bop, which was also very good. The Angry Chicken was just weird for a Japanese restaurant and was a bit dry. The Duck Confit fried rice was also good but not great. Good: Asian Pear martini was crazy good. Not so good: The hot bowl in which the Ishi Yaki was served kept cooking the fish so after a few minutes it was over cooked and resting your metal utensils on it will heat them up to scalding. Be careful and don't rest a spoon or fork on the rim of the bowl. Good Info: Fried foods such as the whole fish are cooked in the same oil as the pork ribs, so for those with cultural or dietary aversion to pork might want to avoid anything fried.

Amazing Sushi...and Beef

By Joe F |

My family dined her before a concert at the MGM and loved every aspect of our meal. Service was efficient and effective, but not exceptional. However, the sushi was outstanding. The rice nearly melted in your mouth and the fish was extremely fresh. We also shared a two cuts of the A-5 Wagyu beef - truly amazing. The Ishi Yaki Buri Bop prepared at your table was a unique and delicious combo of fish and rice. Great overall meal and experience!!

There are no words...

By Suzanne S |

We consider ourselves pretty good judges of good sushi. By far, the best as far as freshness. We were told the tuna and salmon had just been cut off the fish that morning and it tasted like it. The softshell crab was tender and you can't go wrong with shrimp tempura. The serving of edamame was huge, too much for two, but also fresh. Don't be discouraged if the website says no reservations, we called and got in a few hours later.

The read thing

By Annelie J |

Unique twist of sushi and sashimi. They do offer several cooked items as well. The portions are small so it can get very expensive depending on how hungry you are. Nice atmosphere inside the MGM Grand.

Best culinary experience and staff!!

By Kristen D |

I just wanted to take a moment to give my true thanks for an amazing culinary and dining experience last night at Miromoto. To begin, Chris, the GM and the front of the house team were amazing to accommodate a few additional people in our party (from 8-11) at the very last minute. They rearranged and provided us a beautiful table that was tucked away and simply gorgeous. Then they introduced us to our server Prince, who was honestly the BEST! After asking about our likes/dislikes/allergies, he took the reins and provided us a family style experience of courses that was honestly the best food most of us have ever had. In fact, several people in our party said it was the best meal of their lives. The food, service by Prince and the team, ambiance, just everything was perfect. We host a lot of events and important dinners in Vegas and will absolutely be back. Thank you again to the entire team for taking such good care of us! Kristen

Delicious and perfect in every way

By Lori M |

As expected, the sushi at Morimoto is amazing. Fresh, high quality, well prepared - just perfect. We enjoyed a light dinner before a show, so we had a few different rolls and soup. I don't think there's anything on the menu that wouldn't be delicious. Just go and enjoy!

Excellent meal

By lucycan |

I had previously dined here about 5 years ago and it was so memorable I could not wait to return. It did not disappoint! Service was excellent. Appetizers were very good, and the sushi was excellent. Just be prepared for the prices. OToro was $18 per piece. We ran up a $500 bill without alcohol. Worth every penny!

Good Food/ Ridiculous Pricing

By Loving the Travel - Davis |

Morimoto is famous for great food and fabulous presentation. We very much looked forward to this dinner. Dinner was great, food was great, no complaints at all about the service or the quality of the food. This was the most expensive sushi I have ever had. Including Tokyo. While we had a great experience, it was definitely not worth the price. Would have rated a 5, however the cost of their food keeps me from going to a 5.

A must visit if you appreciate Japanese cuisine at its best

By JamesV |

Another great dinner at Morimoto. Service was outstanding and the wagyu and rolls were amazing. The bar is small, but well run. The mixed drinks were on point. A stand out was the clam miso soup.

Clean solid restaurant

By fast72 |

Came here for dinner before a show. I thought the restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly but not overbearing. Didn't like my white wine so ordered a Japanese Mule for my second drink which was spot on. Had the tuna tacos for an appetizer. They were very fresh and spicy. Could have used a plate to eat them over though. Has the black cod for my entree. It was delicate and decadent. I will definitely be back.

great food

By Genetix71 |

the food and ambience was great, the wait to enter an empty restaurant with a reservation, was a bit annoying.

Wagyu beef was GREAT! Yummy fatty tuna nigiri!

By Craig |

YUMMY! The menu is great. We started with a bottle of Saki recommended by the sommelier (female, cannot recall her name). Aries was a our server and he was GREAT! Started with fatty tuna nigiri and shared the wagyu beef and side of green beans. Delicious meal and great service.
