Amazing food and great service....as Simple as that. The lobster bisque has the right “kick”....my porter steak was simply delicious. Greatly cooked. A full great experience.

Morton's always been consistently excellent, tonite not so excellent. Service was not up to morton's standard and noise level was a bit too much. Food while consistently good was served luke warm, and as hungry as we were we debated sending back to the kitchen. I have made it a point to visit frequently for special occasions but after my last visit there are plenty other establishments in Portland that will get the nod from now on as Morton's pricing is no longer up to the standard I expect for a Steakhouse of this caliber.

We went to Morton's with a friend when the restaurant had a steak and lobster special. The food was fantastic. The service was excellent. This is a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion.

Our first trip to Morton's and have to say, probably the best filet we have ever ordered. The service was prompt and exactly as you would expect, everything came at the perfect moment and never a delay in the process that you would observe. Every part of the evening exceeded our expectations and our server Mark was the crowning touch. We will return.

We went there for our son's 21st birthday. Arrived on time but wanted to have a drink at the bar. "No problem sir, your table will be waiting for you." We brought a bottle of wine. "Would you like that waiting at your table sir? Would you like it decanted?". Waiter knew my son's name and kept referring to him by name - very classy. Food was excellent, but as you night expect, expensive. 3 onion soups, three steaks and an order of mushrooms was about $230.00, plus tip. But, you get what you pay for, so it was worth it. Classy service, good food and a night that my 21 year old will remember.

So I was in a group birthday party- staff was fabulous and so very accommodating to our large group. I tasted a lot of every bodies food- heirloom salad, caprese and wedge were very good. Excellent portion size- easy to share. The bread and butter was amazing. Tuna tacos and short rib tacos, oysters- all on point. I had the chicken Bianco which was so flavorful and my husband had the filet. Excellent all around. I didn't have anything that was not an A+. Ready to go back!

I was disappointed in my shrimp scampi and steak, my beet salad had a about 3 small beet bites in it and there was barely any dressing or goat cheese on it either. Service was a bit lack luster but wasn't bad. Over priced for the quality. But I must say, the bread was amazing.

I have been to about 10 Morton's. But the best one hands down is the original Morton's on state st in Chicago !! There is a secret entrance and an old school feel. Great service ( friendly and attentive) Great food. This location is the best!! Thanks rocky,Suzanne, lorenzo and everyone else who always makes our experience memorable.

Met friends for a light dinner at Morton’s. Wow! the service was impeccable and the food was scrumptious! This is a great place to dine if you are attending an event @ the Keller.

I took my husband here for his birthday and across the top of the personalized menu, it had the date and Happy Birthday from Morton's. The staff was amazing. The service was excellent. For appetizers we had the oysters Rockefeller, escargot and crab cakes. My husband had the cajun rib-eye that was not hot, but seasoned. I had the Filet Mignon was just melted. They have valet parking which can be added to your bill. It is worth the experience.

Went on a gift certificate and didn't want a big steak dinner so we went for happy hour. the wine at happy hour is not very good the worst of plonk and some of the reds are just too expensive. The mini filet trio with three different sauces was good as were the hand cut potato chips with perfect salting. The iceberg crumbles were just cheese and fatty dressing-stay away. Most of the things are 7-9 dollars so you won't break the bank, but they are little sandwiches, slider types and they are not light. couple of young hungry boys, sure, but adults choose wisely.

Went to dinner for my birthday - they had "happy birthday" printed on the menus, took our picture and gave me a picture in a little folder which all the staff had signed. Thought those were some nice touches. The dinner was fantastic! Then they brought me a birthday dessert. All in all, a very special birthday dinner and the staff was amazing as well!

We ate here before seeing a show at the Keller Auditorium. The food was very good and the bread was awesome. The prices are high but well wortha nice night out. They have lots of wine and we are not wine drinkers, they also have a full bar. We probably would go back before another show.n

Staff were great. Ambiance is what I would expect. $100 for a steak that was average at best was very disappointing. And I wasn’t really expecting brilliance but I’ve had much better meals at The Keg. For a $200 total tab with a couple of salads and round of drinks I will not return.

Took a date here for her birthday and they did NOT disappoint. The waiter was humorous and engaging, the other staff very attentive, and the food excellent. That said, the "legendary" lava cake was just good, not great. My recommendation would be to go here for dinner, and somewhere unique for dessert.

The steaks are good. Everything is a la carte, so prices add up quickly. I'm typically not a fan of this approach, I think the value is diminished. When I'm paying upwards to $30 to $90 bucks for a steak, I think the potatoes or asparagus can come along for the ride on that same cost. I also expect a little more attention to detail and frankly a little attentiveness from the wait staff for an establishment of this caliber. Our waitress was a complete air head and some things, like additional rounds of drinks which were ordered, never made it to the table. They didn't make it to the bill either, so there's that. Its a nice restaurant and there is a dress code. Make sure to wear a collared shirt guys.

bar none. Had the bone-in chicago-style ribeye, my benchmark of steaks, and it was amazing. My wife and I went to celebrate a wedding anniversary, and they really did a great job of making the night special. Customized menus that we could take home, a nice paper-framed picture, and a pretty good souffle. Not a place we could go frequently, but definitely a great place for a special night out.

The portions were huge(!), the presentation delightful, nice ambience--perhaps a bit dark. You pay for it but it's really good

I haven't been Morton's for years. It was close to our Hotel in Portland so decided to go. It was relaxed, nor hurried, great appropriate service . Had a great beefsteak tomato salad and my wife onion soup both were wonderful. I had a small 6oz Steak that was expensive for a small steak but the taste made it worth it. Expensive for every day but well worth the experience.

Portland is a food city but you can't go wrong with Morton's. The service is superb and the food is excellent. The best part is you can have them park your car while you dine and enjoy a play or concert across the street and then they will bring your car to you when you want to go home. You don't even need to stay for a nightcap after the theater if you don't want to. Morton's and a great happy hour and friendly professional staff. You can't go wrong with Morton's.

Just had happy hour treats. Shrimp cocktail (3 for $18) and spinach dip. Plus dessert. A carrot cake that was excellent but should be tackled by at least two. It was wonderful, but I had to take half home. With drinks, we spent about $ 80. What the heck, it's Morton's. If we were really hungry we'd have had an excellent steak dinner.

As usual, the food was great. Filet Mignon, Shrimp Alexander, etc. The place was a little noisy that night. Fortunately, we were seated in a separate room which was much quieter. Our server was nice and courteous, but at times, we were unattended for longer than preferred.

Travelled here with a business group that included a vegetarian and omnivore. Wow! I heard the steaks were luscious. Our waiter made spot-on recommendations for accompaniments, and all the dishes came out of the kitchen as requested (no bacon in the Brussels sprouts--thank you!). Don't miss the melt-in-your-mouth ahi tuna tacos app. Wow!

Went for an early dinner with reservations at 5. We finished our business downtown early and showed up 10 minutes early.. you can't be seated early so we got a drink in the bar first. The hostess was suppose to come get us but by 520 we were still sitting at the bar so I went back and asked for a table. Sorry, we were hungry! You can transfer your bar bill to your table bill. Waiter was attentive, food was timely and delicious, and we got a different wine with dinner and it was all as expected. Inside it's private, no exterior windows and the lighting is down, can be a bit romantic. I like coming here for business lunches honestly more than dinner but we will be back again for both.

While I come to expect excellent service for the price point, our server Marc truly made us feel welcome and took the time to answer our many questions. Kudos to the GM for stopping by and allowing us to share our fantastic experience!

Here for a business meeting and found my meal to be very tasty. Waite staff was very attentive and served us well. Happy to have dinned here...

My extended family and I made reservations far in advance for dinner prior to a ballet performance at Keller Auditorium, across the street. We were assured several times that Morton’s would be able to accommodate our party, with time to spare, prior to our ticketed event. Our entire party arrived on time for our reservation and submitted our orders almost immediately. The significant lag time between our drink orders and their subsequent delivery should have been an indication for how the rest of the night would go. We had to remind the staff several times that we were on a timeline and we were assured each time that our food would arrive soon. We were also visited by the manager of the restaurant who offered an apology but ultimately blew us off. After waiting more than an hour and a half for our food, we were forced to leave the restaurant without having been served dinner due to the time constraint we were assured they would accommodate. Ultimately, what was supposed to be a special holiday event for our family was spoiled by the poor service and lack of hospitality provided by Morton’s.

With great excitement we went to Morton's. First timers, we expected it to rival the best (their prices certainly did). The host was amazing. He visited our table several times to ensure all was well, recommended desert, etc. Maybe the best experience we've had by the host of a restaurant! The waiter was VERY average forgetting to bring menus, taking a long time to bring wine, and not staying on top of things. And while my wedge salad was great, we came for the bone-in ribeyes and were very disappointed. Average would be the best I could express the steak. I feel like I could have cooked it better at home (and I am NOT a cook). We'll try a competitor next time.

We have eaten in many restaurants in Portland, and we’ve had lots of great dining experiences. We have also eaten at another Morton’s in another big city, years ago. Given these things, honestly, I was expecting a good experience, but nothing amazing. My husband really wanted a great steak dinner for his birthday, though, so we tried it. I was, honestly, blown away. The service we received was impeccable. Every item we tried was perfect—filet, New York, mashed potatoes, broccoli.... even the broccoli was the best I have ever had. We split a sundae for dessert that we couldn’t come close to finishing, but it was super decadent. You really feel like this is a special occasion restaurant, and the food is so delicious! Even though I know it is a national chain, it will now be on my short list for high-end dining in Portland.

This is one of my favorite places to go when I want to really feel pampered!! I am taking my husband this Friday night as a surprise for an early Valentines Dinner :)

Felt hustled by our server. Dominated our table with a 20 minute monologue. Pushed 4 butters on us with our steak - not letting us know that it ran up our tab 24 dollars wanted a glass of red wine with my steak - he insisted on ordering the glass himself without informing me it was a 50 dollar glass of wine. The capper was insisting on supplying us with a side dish with our meal - making it sound like it was complimentary - which was a 24 dollar side order of bacon. He easily added 120 dollars onto our bill. And we felt hustled. Have always enjoyed my Morton's experience until last night

We were on vacation in Portland last week and are fans of Morton's. The steak and seafood were fantastic, as expected but the service was even better than the Morton's we are used to and believe me, no complaints there. Not only were the servers (and manager) super attentive, they were super friendly as well. This shouldn't be a surprise as we found MANY super friendly people in Portland! They even take a picture of all the guests and give it to them in a paper Morton's frame, all autographed as a little memento. How nice is that?

We loved Mortons. Normally I am a liitle skeptical of the fotos shown in Trip Advisor. But, if you love beef then look at the posted pictures because that exactly what our plates looked like. The taste of the steaks is hard to beat anywhere. Cooked to èrfection. Thick, juicy, tender and simply delicious. Service is great too!

Dinner with hubby, started with cocktails-well done. Skipped appetizers as there is so much food served. Tried the Au Gratin potatoes-creamy, cheesy and good. Creamed sweet corn, not usually something I like, was wonderful. More like fresh kernals right off the cob. So good. Also tried the onions. Nice sweet little bites of goodness. The rib eye, bone in, was cooked perfectly. You could just about cut it with the fork it was so tender and juicy. Service was impeccable. Food was so good. It is pricey, but worth it.

we are regular customers to Morton's and think highly of the manger & the restaurant. We had a birthday celebration there on January 27. The meal was excellent! We had left overs ( not uncommon at Morton's) and chose to take them home. There was a mix up & we got some one other's take home! This is the first time that has ever happened, but not fun!

We enjoyed a nice meal, before going to the theater. Our server was helpful and informative. The food is very rich, large portions and a bit pricey, but we expected it so we were not caught off guard. The twice baked potatoes were not spectacular. However the lava cake was exceptional, which my husband and I shared. Overall we had a great meal.

A friend and I went to the Nutcracker at the Keller Auditorium then on to Mortons for dinner What a wonderful time. The food was so good we had trouble making room for dessert. The bacon wrapped scallops were a hit as was at least for me was the escargot. Our steaks were good to perfection.

A friend and I went here before a show at Keller Auditorium. We didn't make a reservation(highly recommended) but found space in the bar. The atmosphere was very nice and sophisticated. We started with a lemon drop and truffle fries that were both great. We both also had filet mignon that was cooked to perfection with a side of grilled asparagus. We topped off the meal with a creme brulee and a sundae that were both delicious. They a pretty pricey, but it was a great experience and the food was well worth it.

Never again. Morton's truly showed their 'Chain Restaurant' foundation. Servers were overworked and sweaty, despite this we had good service considering what was asked of them by management. We were a party of 5 and 2 of the steaks were so overcooked the inside was GRAY not red to pink as a MEDIUM RARE steak should be. They remade the steaks for the 2 people and so they sat with gray steaks while the rest of our party ate dinner, awkward. Final Straw -- a 3% SURCHARGE added to ALL checks to cover "a recent increase to minimum wage" -- are you kidding??? Morton's can't afford to pay their servers minimum wage without a freaking surcharge??? UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!

We went on Sunday night and sat at the bar for happy hour all night. We spilt the filet sliders, which were good. Service was very good. Had some house wine and enjoyed the evening. Have fun

We decided on a quick get-a-way to Portland from Seattle for an Anniversary and selected Morton's for our dinner out. What a great choice we made, it was wonderful. Now granted, they did know we were there for a special occasion as I noted that when I booked our reservation through "Open Table" on the Morton's website. From the moment we walked in the door the staff made us feel special. Our table was ready right off even though they were busy for the theater rush. We took our time and spent 3 full hours there enjoying great food and the wonderful atmosphere. We had the Steak and Lobster and a trio plate. Everything was cooked to perfection, with a special note on the bacon wrapped scallops, Perfect! They made us feel very welcome and not rushed at all. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion. Thank you for a great time and wonderfully cooked food.

Yes - let me just say it now - it is expensive - it's not an Outback Steak House - It's much more than that. Here's why my family and I make it a holiday tradition: 1. It's hands down the best steak around - exactly the way each of us likes it. 2. Service is impeccable - On the West Coast - that's a rare thing - very professional, this is someone's career and not their part-time job, waiting for their big break 3. Attention to Detail - White linen tablecloths and If you wear white or light coloured clothing - you get a white napkin - black napkin with darker clothes. 4. Special Offers - you have to look around - but my husband gets emails that offer better prices for meals. For instance for 59 dollars - 6oz fillet mignon and lobster tail. Jot cheap - but not crazy for excellent meal. 5. Very convenient for Nutcracker - or other shows - across the street and they offer valet parking for free. Wish the lighting was a little brighter - I'm not old yet - but it can be hard to see - happy to have my phone with me to shine light on menu.

We usually don't splurge but our meal at Morton's was a special and memorable experience. The service was as good as it comes, great wine list, great menu selections, wonderful sides, steak and seafood perfectly prepared (bacon-wrapped scallops!), and several sumptuous desserts to choose from (didn't do that). It was a bit loud but not overly so, and a nice atmosphere, especially with the holiday lights up. It is right across the street from Keller Auditorium and it was Nutcracker night so it worked perfectly, and valet parking also added to the convenience. Truly a memorable meal.

The restaurant was very nice, service was great but we felt that it was very expensive for what we had. We will more than likely not go back because of the pricing.

High quality meats, but sides weren't anything special. Very attentive waiters. Location a plus for between theater and hotel.

Service was great and friendly. Food was fabulous. We did have to eat in the bar since we didn't have reservations. No walk ins

Out first visit to Morton’s was absolutely wonderful. Not only were the jumbo scallops wrapped in bacon and the fillet with button mushrooms delicious but the service we had provided by Joseph was amazing. I can honestly say we have never in our life had a better server than Joseph. Although the restaurant was fairly busy we felt like we were his only table. He was right there to offer suggestions and has such a pleasant personality . We will be back!

We know Mortons from other cities, like St Louis and were really looking forward to visiting Mortons in Portland during our stay there. The evening turned out to be everything else than expected. Our drinks took very long time to arrive. The Lobster Bisque was thin and had no real taste to it. And then came the really long wait for our stakes. We had ordered Filet Mignon Oscar style and it took over an hour before this reached our table. When the stakes finally came, they were not really warm anymore. There were many apologies and the headwaiter suggested recooking, which I, being a reasonable good cook myself, declined, as it does not really make the Oscar style Mignon better. They offered us more wine or dessert, which we declined. We just wanted to get out of this place and never come back. I must say, our waiter was very good and had no chance to change the things of the bad organization in this reataurant,

I go there often to eat their best prime burger, it is the best you will ever have, it melts in your mouth and it is so edictive. But when they get busy the quality of service dips down (Friday June 22) My order took forever and when I got it it was not the mouth melting prime burgers I expected, it was cold and not good. I hope that was a one time incident. The good thing, the staff are so friendly and accommodating.

Stopped in for dinner. Warmly greeted. Servers were fun. John is great. We chose Chicago classic ribeye and a filet migon. Neither disappointed. Paired steak with cauliflower & au gratin potatoes. Dessert was wonderful, carrot cake and souffle with Grand Marnier. It was great. They were busy yet personable and fun.

We decided we would try a late night happy hour at Morton's and boy were we surprised! They had several great items for very reasonable prices. Filet mignon sliders, chicken strips, and other nice little treats for prices you'd expect at Applebee's! We will be going back again!

The food was good, the atmosphere was nice, the service very attentive. We went for my son's birthday and they had menus printed up just for us and give us a family photo. But it was way too dark making the menus hard to read, and hard to see the fat/gristle to cut it off. It was also very expensive, even by steakhouse standards ($110 per person + tip). I think there are better steakhouses in Portland with better prices. I do recommend using the valet parking, not that much more expensive than parking yourself, and much more convenient.

Located in downtown Portland this is a great spot for a romantic dinner or a business meeting. My wife had the Chicken Christopher which she loved and the piece she shared was probably the most tender piece of Chicken i have ever had, but to her it was fabulous. I ordered the Center Cut Prime Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. Sides are ala carte, so be prepared to add to your meal as they do not come with it already. We ordered the baked potato, which was very large and split into two for us. Each slice was the size of a normal baked potato and was very tasty. We also ordered the Bacon & Onion Macaroni & Cheese, which we also shared and was also very good and complimented the meal. It's pricey, but for special occasions, the food, atmosphere and service is well worth it.

Although the food was good and the service was great it wasn't quite worth the price, especially with an hour wait. Would like to come back and try some other menu options but it will be a while because we need to save up!

You can get a dinner menu at the bar even during happy hour. Might I suggest the chopped salad and of course the bread is always a plus. Can get pretty busy and full when there is an event at the keller auditorium. Also be aware that they dont have valet on some days.

I have always preferred Mortons to Ruth’s Chris, it is just a preference thing, they are both world class. The main reason in Portland that I prefer Mortons is location, location, location. Morton’s steakhouse is located literally across the street from Keller Auditorium which is where the Broadway Across America City plays come through, so you can have dinner or lunch at Mortons then go see a play without having to drive in between. This is nice, it lets you take in a nice bottle of wine with dinner and then have the entire play with intermissions to sober up before its drive time again. Safety first! The food here is fantastic, their Filets cook perfectly med rare with bermeise is a thing of beauty, then add some agrattin potatoes, creamed spinach and a bowl of French onion soup and you have multicourse feast fit for a king and queen. This place is an absolute winner. It is not cheap, but USDA prime never is. This is probably my favorite place for a night on the town becuase of love musicals I love seeing Phantom of the Opera and having a glorious USDA prime steak dinner with all of the fixings. To me, that is a night on the town!

Yes it is expensive, which I don't mind if I love it. I didn't.... This was a special occasion celebrating two life events which I specified in my reservation. We got there a bit ahead of time and were taken to a table right away. The problem was it was a table in the middle of the room and I had wanted a booth. Although nobody was sitting in a booth when I asked, I accepted it when told that they were all reserved. My issue with Morton's was the ambiance (lack of), noise and over helpfulness of service staff. What ??? She is complaining about being helped ?? YES. Having everything be ala carte with sides that are meant to share means agreements need to be made especially when there are food issues. We were given special menus that were so small and dark that given the low lighting even the 20 year olds needed to take out their cell phones for light to read. We were trying to converse and were constantly interrupted by offers of something. We were given the impression at one point that due to the occasions, special desserts were offered. I only found out later when half of my dinner did not arrive until the end of the meal that they were going to comp our desserts. None of us would have ordered dessert but accepted what sounded like an offer due to the occasion. My steak as well as everybody else's was delish. My seafood came out of the kitchen in time to go into a doggie bag since we were all finished eating. $400 for a party of four. About what I expected. I will say the food was great, service uncoordinated and sound level got higher as the evening went on and tables around us had more drinks. At one point we were almost shouting to hear each other. I'm glad I tried it but won't be going back. For that kind of money I like a more intimate chill out atmosphere and a booth. Ruth's Chris and Ringside never disappoint.

This Morton's is consistsant with what you would expect Morton's to be. We had a fantastic dinner. The food was of course top quality. The service was out of this world. Our server was the best. We had no problem leaving a 25% tip as he deserved it. Great experience.

This is a lovely, lovely restaurant. The wait staff is extremely well trained and knowledgeable. I'm a vegetarian and found lots of wonderful eats! I was just as happy with my potato, salad and veggie dishes as those who ate their signature meat dishes, which looked divine and tasted wonderfully (so I'm told). Impressive restaurant.

I have a regular meet-up with a business buddy, and we try to find a spot we've never been before, and here in Portland there is a LOT of choice. We chose Mortons's this time as an "omage" to the traditional steakhouse, but wishing to test the reputation this place has for good, "old fashioned American eats." I was VERY pleased, overall, with the quality of the food, the standard of service, and the atmosphere of the place. Upon entering (door held open for me by the parking attendant!) I found the ambiance to be very upscale, low-light, but open and "tailored" looking, neither pretentious nor overly "modern." I was greeted immediately by the Manager of the house, and although early for the reservation offered the table or a place in the lounge. I chose the table, and was introduced to the waiter for the evening...who immediately brought all the various drink, wine, and general menus to peruse while I waited for my associate/friend. I just ordered a cocktail; excellent prep, served exactly the way I asked for it. After my friend arrived we proceeded to food ordering, and all questions were answered well by the waiter, and "specials" from the wine cellar were explained and offered...one of which we selected and was outstanding! Appetizers came. I ordered sea scallops, which were just PERFECT...and literally melted in my mouth! I was on the fence for an entree' order, so opted for something I never saw before, a "flight" of three different steak cuts, each 4 oz., thus providing a very nice entree' portion, but three different "tastes" and textures. Now...the slight "bump in the road" which then occurred demonstrated just how classy a place this is: My friend's entree came to the table, but not mine! The waiter, now accompanied by the Manager turned to me and explained with profuse apologies that a mistake had been made in the kitchen (some sort of misunderstanding), and the chef had prepared the wrong entree for me...would I be so kind as to wait a FEW extra minutes to correct the mistake?...BUT, the big Ribeye they prepared by mistake would be mine "gratis" to take home anyway! My "real" entree' came a scant five minutes later, so no real damage done, especially since I was effectively getting a "2-for-1" deal...wow! On top of that my friend and I were also "comped" two desserts on the house to "make it right." Now THAT is classy and customer friendly!!! It all came from the restaurant, I never had to utter a single word of complaint, because they were so "on top of the situation," that I never even had the chance to complain. I'll definitely recommend Mortons's, and, of course, I'll remember it for another meal sometime! FIVE stars to this "old" but new (for me) steakhouse!

Morton's is something talked about and bragged about, but often questioned because of it's prices. Is it a place I found I would be running back to to take my friends for or a nice happy hour? No. Not because I didn't like it, but it's not realistic for everyone price wise and that's the honest truth. The service and ambiance was spot on to when we were greeted and the door was open for us and we were seated and our server shook each of our hands and introduced himself. We were offered mini flashlights if we couldn't quite make out the menu because of the dimmed lighting and when my boss realized she forgot her glasses, our server came with a tray for anyone that needed reading glasses. Cocktail orders were taken and brought back quickly to the table. We took our time ordering our appetizers and then entrees and side dishes. We started with the baked escargot which came with a puff pastry, it was cooked very well and coated nicely with garlic. The ahi tuna tower was delicious as well, perfectly balanced. We couldn't decide between the salads, so our server offered to split up the salads on separate plates for us. I had the bibb lettuce salad. Everything was brought out together and we were all served our plates at the same time, which we all know how frustrating it is to either get your plate and wait for everyone else or be the one everyone else is waiting on. It's the simple things that make this restaurant what it is. Attention to detail makes it an experience and not just another steakhouse. I ordered the center cut filet mignon and fumbled on my words when ordering, knowing the chefs were probably spot on when it comes to the cook of the meat- which they were. This was definitely one of the best cooked steaks I've had in a very long time. I ordered the blue cheese to be on top of the filet, which really took things to the next level for me! For sides we all chose different ones to share around, since the sides aren't small portions. We had the lyonnaise potatoes, brussels sprouts, twice baked au gratin potatoes and asparagus. The sides were very good. We were all tempted to order a couple more, but knew very well we were already over ordering. We had another cocktail during dinner, I had a Negroni, which I'm pretty darn picky about, but this was superb. Finally a well made cocktail! It was dessert time and though feeling defeated, we somehow still ordered two desserts- a slice of carrot cake (which could have fed all five of us) and some sort of apple crisp. The carrot cake was not something I'd have again. I tried a couple of bites and I know how ridiculous this sounds, but it was it tasted too much like carrot! Then the whipped cream on the side? Was just...cream. I suppose it's something that's supposed to just be there to cut into the sugary cake a bit, but it's not that sugary of a cake. That was probably the only disappointment of the entire meal. It's definitely a meal worth bragging about, but something I won't be back for too soon. Definitely a place to go and put the money on the company card- oops did I say that? To ask your husband to treat you to- or your wife, for that special occasion.

This is a wheelchair accessible restaurant that allows service dogs (it is illegal not to, but some restaurants will still turn away someone in a wheelchair with a service dog). The steaks were excellent but very large. Both the Bibb Lettuce Salad and the Burrata Salad were very good. Service was polite and attentive. The atmosphere is quite hushed, and the décor is generally quite dark - like many steakhouses.

We came to Morton's before seeing a show at Keller. We walked in and immediately I could not see. It was a sunny afternoon and it was so dark in the entry i almost tripped up the stairs. We had a reservation at 5:30 and it took just a bit to seat us. They were a bit busy (they are right across from Keller) but I feel it should have been staffed better for a show night. It look 10 minutes to get our drink order taken. The waiter comes back and proceeds to tell us about the menu and that if we want a specialty dessert we should probably order that early as they take 30-45 minutes to prepare. I asked for a dessert menu so I could decide if I wanted to order one. We order our dinner, onion soup for me, lobster bisque for my husband to start, we both had the filet/scallops/shrimp trio for dinner. It took about 20 minutes to get our soup. We finally got the dessert menu after our soup came. The onion soup had too much bread and it soaked up most of the broth. The lobster bisque had one small piece of lobster floating on top of the dish. The bisque was so spicy that neither one of us could eat it. When the waiter took it away, still mostly full he did not ask if there was a problem with it or anything. We finally get our dinners, we had been there for an hour already, and really not what I was expecting. The scallops (2) were very good, but not really hot. The prawns (3) were cold and tough. The flavors would have been good if they were not so overcooked and cold. The filet was cooked well but was lukewarm by the time it got to our table and had a rather mealy texture to it. The scallop potatoes were decent and they were hot. Happy we did not order dessert as I think we would have missed our show. I don't know if we will be back to have dinner here. We might try the happy hour before a show, but not dinner.

We frequent Morton’s because we only live two blocks away. We love returning not only because of the great food, but the wonderful service. If you’re in the bar area, either Will, Chelsey or Justin will take care of you. Check out happy hour for half off certain items (like the mouthwatering potato chips or savory crab cake BLTs). The servers know how to shake up an excellent dirty martini. The interior is dark and romantic - there isn’t a view of any kind - but it works really well. For two people, we spend about $50 for happy hour (HH). While it may be higher for HH, the quality of the food is quite good (I like it better than Chart House or Portland City Grille). Plus, the service is certainly top notch. Highly recommend whether you’re a local or visiting.

Great food? Look no further. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Yoiu won't be disappointed.

A bit of a caveat. I am not one who eats a lot of red meat, but I do enjoy an occasional steak. Eating here was an experience. They brought the raw ingredients to the table for review, not just the steaks but the potatoes, onions, etc. Across from us, a woman was consuming a large piece of red meat that looked barely seared. I thought staff was pretty condescending. I didn't think that presenting me with an Idaho russet, washed and straight from the ground, with a $10 price tag, was necessary. And, the cost was extraordinary. But, if you really want to indulge in red meat and be surrounded by aficionados of beef, this is your place. Me - I would go to a lot of other places in Portland that are less pretentious.

We had a party of 8 celebrating a special event, even had it printed on the menu for the night!! Ordered the works! We had a child with us which they accommodated her bland taste buds to the T! Food was amazing of course! Server had great knowledge of wine list and helped us pick the perfect bottle. Steak sauce wasn't our favorite and one of our deserts ended up being a wrong order, which both were comped. No added gratuity for our large party which made our gratuities more based on our own opinion which was nice. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a high class meal in a high class establishment and service!

Perfect. I did Lobster and Filet and she did filet. Perfect preparation and very tasty. I had a 3 course prix fix with lobster bisque, filet and tail, and key lime pie. Very reasonably prices for a great dinner.

Ya, sure...I'd love to be able to afford a nice steak dinner at Morton's along with an amazing bottle of red wine, but this place is simply not "everyday" affordable for most folks. Instead, I love Morton's for their happy hour and it's a great pre-theater location (across the street from Keller Auditorium). I recently had the Braised-Short Rib Tacos topped with Pico de Gallo, Avocado and a Chipotle Mayo (2 for $8). Our table also enjoyed the Mini Prime Cheeseburgers served on Silver Dollar Rolls with lettuce, tomato and purple onion (3 for $8) and the Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches with Mustard Mayonnaise (4 for $8). The Parmesan Truffle Matchstick Fries were enough for 3 people to share. The menu also includes Tuna Tacos and Crab BLT Sliders...so enough of a broad selection to please everyone. The bar is small and fills up fast, especially on busy theater nights. They open at 4PM so go early to snag one of the 4 tables or 8-10 bar seats. Please add this to your downtown Portland Happy Hour list!

My Boyfriend and I had an amazing dinner at this Steakhouse and we had the best Service and Dinner ever! We had an appetizer, main course and dessert and everything was absolutely delicious! Our Server was John and he is such a nice and funny guy! It made us feel comfortable and we just enjoy every minute being in this Steakhouse! He made sure we were taken care of and that we were enjoying our dinner. This was our first time in Portland and we are definitely coming back here for another amazing dinner! Thank You John and The Staff for such a great experience!

We had dinner at Morton's before seeing a play at The Keller Auditorium. We had reservations for 5:30, but we arrived early, and we appreciated being seated immediately. Our server was exceptional. He paid special attention to my need for gluten free items, and he made wonderful suggestions. Our dinner was delicious! My husband and I loved everything we ordered: Caesar Salad and Cajun Ribeye Steak for my husband; Lobster Bisque and Filet Mignon for me. For dessert our waiter suggested Sabayon with fresh berries. YUM! Everything was perfect! It was fairly expensive, so it will be definitely be one our special occasion restaurants.

In Dallas Morton's is our go-to restaurant and when travelling we like to try them in other cities. Bar bites (their happy hour food) is always a good choice if you're there early enough and we were. Our bartender, Che, was excellent, as was his lady cohort whose name escapes me. Patrick, the Asst. Mgr., visited with us and was a super guy. All in all a wonderful experience!

Similar to our experience in a Chicago steakhouse, Morton's was fantastic. Very attentive to our anniversary 01/18- "happy anniversary" on the menu as a take home souvenier, took our photo and printed it with a souvenier card - all very cheesy but actually kind of fun. Staff were very friendly, knowledgable, gave us a good wine suggestion, took more time than they probably had to chat with us. The bread is amazing. The souffle is amazing (lemon). Steaks were great. It was a fantastic evening!

They have a bunch of stake selections and was one of the best stakes I've had! Cooked perfectly to your liking and the side dishes are delicious!! Not to mention the great service!!

Had a nice evening out with my Fiance and her family to go see Wicked the play at the Keller Auditorium and decided to go to Morton's for dinner and we were not disappointed! this place has some of the most amazing steaks and seafood I have ever had. The filet Mignon was incredible and the shrimp and salmon were to die for. I would definitely recommend Morton's to anyone who loves a great steak and the staff was just perfect. Our waiter was awesome and very attentive!! We will be going back!

My guest and I were very impressed with the service which was very attentive. I ordered the Lobster Bisque and my guest the Chopped Bibb Lettuce Salad. Both were very tasty. The bisque had 2 morsels of lobster only but I enjoyed it. My guest was very happy with her salad. For the entree, I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and my guest the Filet Mignon. As a side my guest wanted the Onion Rings, which we shared. My Sea Bass came lukewarm but was flavorful. I did not mention this to the server since we were on a time schedule. My guest liked the Filet. I had a taste and thought it was ok. Maybe it was because she did not order a sauce or butter to go on top but I have had better. The onion rings were as expected. We did not have dessert. However, about an hour after dinner, we both had bad stomach problems. Hers much worse than mine. The only thing we both ate were the onion rings and my one bite of her steak. Since it had been over 5 hours since our earlier meal, which we did not share and mine consisted of only a pastry, I have to assume it was our dinner. Morton's was really crowded and is obviously a popular place to eat, especially for the theater crowd (theater across the street), which is why we ate there but our experience was not favorable.

We celebrated our anniversary here. Great experience. The server and sommelier both provided excellent suggestions and terrific service. We shared 3 dishes and both had plenty of food. Steak was perfectly cooked. The spinach salad was excellent and oh, the potato gratin - wonderful. A great special occasion place.

We stopped here before going to Keller Auditorium for a performance. Happy Hour is from 4 to 6:30 which coincided well with the 7:30 curtain. The service in the bar was outstanding. The iceberg lettuce app - a surprising yum. The short rib tacos (2) delicious. The crab cake bites - so so. $8.00 HH wine selections well poured and good choices. I highly recommend this venue but get there early - I’d recommend by 5:30 for sure.

Great lobster, quiet dinning, lovely drinks. Our server was great, and many folks stopped to offer help and suggestions. Black napkins to reduce lint transfer and super wine list.

This place is what many would call a fine dining experience. Every aspect quaifies: the meal itself, the service, the general atmosphere/environment. Yes, the cuisine is delicious, the service is outstanding, the ambience is pleasant. I expect that for what they charge. The only real detraction was the exceedingly noisy bar area. There should be something they could do to filter, isolate or entirely block out the loud distracting voices. But everything, from the appetizers, complementary bread, the salads, the steaks, side dishes (especially the creamed corn), and the (indulgent) desserts, was excellent, even memorable. Our server, a young woman, was capable, genuinely friendly, and made us feel at home. An assistant manager, who also seemed quite genuine, stopped by twice to visit. Unfortunately, the person I took to be the manager (a skinny bald guy in a suit) apparently couldnt be bothered with us. Too bad. (for him, since that determines whether or not we will return) A nice overall dining experience for which you will dearly pay.

Average food and sketchy service at a once-great restaurant tonight. Place half full at 6:30 but the service was lax. A group of Gen Z at the bar held the few waitstaff attention. Or was it the sports on the TV? Either way, in a semi-deserted room and me with a reservation got short shrift service. Not the Mortons I remember and the food was even less attractive tonight. Not even considering the price, this dinner was inferior in presentation, quality and flavor. Our server never once asked if we were pleased. Salty, not hot beef and dry, over=-cooked onion rings does not make an impression. Be a long time before I darken that door again.

Had an AMAZING 72nd dinner, and as usual, it was a dependable delight! A wonderful and fun, delicious time was had by all.

We went here an hour before needing to be at a show at Keller Auditorium across the street. The service was excellent. The food was quite good. To be fair, we didn't allow enough time to eat (and there aren't a lot of choices in the immediate area) so we didn't get to finish our meal. However, they are a well-oiled machine when it comes to theater goers. They held our leftovers for us and refrigerated them while we were at the show. Then, on our way out of the theater, we dropped by and they had pulled everyone who had leftovers out with their names on the bag. It was impressive and made it easy to grab and go. The only drawback to this place that I saw was it was overpriced. I didn't get a steak so maybe those are worth it, but I had a stuffed shrimp with pasta and it was around 30+ dollars if I remember right (just for the entree.) Other than that, if you don't pay attention to the cost, it has a cozy atmosphere and great service.

Conveniently located right across the street from Keller Auditorium. Great steaks and excellent service. Use their valet service and they'll have your car ready to go right after the show. Great way to beat the traffic!

We have, over the years, eaten most times at the Ringside in Portland as the ultimate "steak" dining experience. They were sold out, so we "settled for Mortons". What a pleasant surprise. The food was, at least, equally as good. The restaurant is more spacious and a bit "lighter", less cramped. The bar is lovely and the happy hour specials may bring us back for other evenings that are less extravagant. We had alternately the Veal chop (a bit on the fatty side, but good), Boneless ribeye and one of the pastas. Sides were creamed corn and spinach. Crab cocktail was WONDERFUL. Lastly we had ordered the soufflés which were just perfect - one lemon and one chocolate. I know I am making you hungry and for good reason. Be sure to take a credit card where you can earn points because it will cost approximately $75 - $100 pp for a great meal.

Had dinner at Morton's for our anniversary. Enjoyed our steak, salad, potato. Steak melted in our mouths. In conversation we told the waiter it was our anniversary and he was eager to order us a dessert. We told him we had been treated to wine and strawberries at the hotel so we passed. He insisted that he would treat us to a "surprise." However, after our dishes were cleared and we sat for 30 minutes with no communication from our waiter, we chose to leave. As we put on our coats and paid he came running up saying our "special treat" was ready, but we declined. Later, we looked at our receipt and noted that he charged us $17.50 for the "treat" we didn't want. It was subtracted from our total but we were disappointed to see that our waiter implied he was giving us a treat but then charged us. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise nice dinner.

Went to Morton Portland for New Year’s Eve and what a wonderful experience it was. Matt’s service hits the perfect balance between not too close, not too far. Food was amazing as usual. Thank you !

My daughter and I walked into Morton's without reservations and were seated immediately for dinner. Our waitress, Ashely, specifically asked if we were here prior to a show so that she could keep an eye on the time - so we wouldn't have to. She was very attentive all the way through dinner. She let us know that whatever we did not finish would be packaged up and waiting for us at the front door after the show. My daughter and I each had a mixed grill plate, one with filet and the other stuffed salmon: both were excellent choices. The filet was cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend and our leftover package was at the door waiting as promised!

Stopped off here on way back to hotel after dinner (different restaurant) for dessert and wrap-up drinks. Had been to others across the country and always remembered the desserts. Still awesome and huge!

Sorry to say, that while there are cultural differences between states and cities, we chose to dine out Morton's because Morton's LV and Morton's Sacramento was top of the heap. Though this restaurant boosts a huge renovation, and it was a Thursday night, and while the reservation process was arduous the restaurant was quiet. So they stuck us right next to the open kitchen, with the clatter of the dishes and staff talk, and after 7-10 minutes of no acceptable service (cocktails took 10 minutes because the bar staff was engrossed in the barfly conversations instead of our drinks, but water could have come before the bread basket at least) we chose to move into the crowd (4 tables) and feel more welcome. And a bit more attention. Kinda ticked them off with our move, but then at least we got some service. Though "what would you's guys like for dinner" was far from "may we help you with your menu choices and take your order" All aside, the scallops were great, the steaks button on, and the wine good enough for the just about lowest priced one on the menu. But at $450.00 for two 3 course meals, you expect service, clear polite English, clean uniforms and personal jewelry aside.

It was a very unforgettable experience for the quality of the service, we were attended by a compatriot and it was super great, suggested the best entrees, dishes, desserts... everything was very delicious. Without hesitation, 100% recommended!!!

I was here on a lunch business event. The steak is so tender and cooked to perfection but where is the seasoning. A good steak should be perfectly cooked and seasoned and\or charred to perfection for that extra flavor that does not need any seasoning. Morton's cooked to perfection but lacking in seasoning.

I know Morton's is known for their steaks but you have not tasted anything until you've had one of their Chicken Christopher's. Two chicken breast butterflied with a buttery batter and a list creamy white sauce with herbs. Um Um Um. Along with a side of mashed potatoes and some broccoli along with their hot baked break. A great meal. And the service is A+. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was 5 star, but service and ambiance leave a lot to be desired. We were seated in a cramped side room at a table for two that was hardly big enough for the food and drinks, let alone to comfortably read the oversized menus. My husband accidentally let his menu down over the whipped butter that came with our bread, and it got on the back of the menu. I discreetly asked the waitress to bring a new menu and explained what happened. She proceeded to stand next to our table in this crowded dining room and wipe the butter off with one of their cloth napkins. It took her about 2 minutes, but felt much longer with other diners noticing. Then she handed the greasy menu back to my husband. A less cramped table could have helped avoid this accident and the butter incident could have been handled so much more professionally. I expect something like this at a diner - not at an upscale restaurant. Also, I requested a quiet booth when I made my open table reservation. That request wasn't even acknowledged by the hostess as we were seated.

Morton's is always great. Our favorite steakhouse and always a special treat. We have dinned in several venues all across the country and are always pleased with the excellent steak, and great service.

I ordered the sea bass, which was cooked perfectly. My husband's filet was overcooked, but they brought us another one. They had accidentally charged us for the second steak. Fortunately, we spotted the error and had the charge removed. The service was very good.

Ate her for my brother-in-laws birthday. The food and service were outstanding. This a first class restaurant. The prime steaks were cooked a little rare, so you might want to move up one category Med to Med Well. Our party also had the Rack of Lamb, beautiful presentation and excellent quality, the Crab Cakes were excellent as well. The sides are ordered excellent, and one side will feed 2-3 people. The dessert souffle was nice light finish. The lighting is low, the noise level average. We will eat here again for special occasions, cost of our meal was $350.00 for fours, I thought it was inline for what we got, which was a great experience, with excellent service..

My brother took my wife and I here for our anniversary. Everything we had was amazing. The steaks were great. The sea bass as well. The desserts were also incredible. We recommend the soufle. The service was also wonderful.

The steaks were good. The salads were great. The service is highly recommended. This carries on the Morton's tradition. The Hospitality was excellent. The General Manager visited with us.

We have been to at least 5 Morton's including the original one in Chicago. This is is by far one of the best! Not noisy , good service and great food. The steaks are fantastic. The only drawback is the price. This is the place to dine for special occasions. Kudos to Dan the manager for a great place to dine!

Wow! (Now pause for a moment of silence.). Yeah, it was THAT good! But you probably already know this restaurant chain by name, so, as expected it was very good. Today's experience from the service to the food to the atmosphere -- even for a non-footbal Monday evening -- was incredible and memorable. I'm going to hit send now before the bill comes while my joy is pure.

My wife and I took in a matinee show close by and walked over to Morton's afterwards. We split the 12 oz. Filet Mignon, Medium along with a couple of chopped salads and a side of fresh sauteed spinach and mushrooms. The steak..USDA Prime, as all Morton's are but the preparation was superb. Cooked to perfection under an 800 degree flame. The salads were amazing and so fresh but the spinach and mushrooms sealed the meal. The service was impeccable. That with a good glass of red and it was an eventful, beautiful early evening meal. We will be back. This place cooks a filet better than either The Ringside or El Gaucho's.

This place reminded me a lot of Ruth's Chris or Smith and Wollensky's. Excellent meat and sides, great service and a nice atmosphere. We were a party of 5 and everyone enjoyed everything we ordered. As it was my birthday they threw in a free grand marnier souffle desert. Our waiter, Patrick Devine was attentive, helpful and friendly. if you like old-school steak houses you will not be disappointed.

First of all, drinks were way overpriced. Really, 50 $ for a bottle of cab that at Safeway, same brand and year is 15? My husband's 50 $ steak the second time still did not come out cooked correctly. He ordered it rare. The first time it was medium well and the second time, medium rare, but trust me, he can cook a better steak. There is nothing about this food that says that anyone cares about the food. The bread, which they don't make was good. The giant asparus was too salty and the potatoes had way too much horseradish so that it was unpleasant, and I like spicey food. For the money, I do not recommend.

This is my favorite restaurant! The food is amazing and staff are great. They make excellent drink suggestions as well. The staff go above and beyond. I am impressed by the service every time.

As others have shared, I have been to several Morton's thru the years (eleven via a quick count of locations on the website), and have dined frequently enough at the ones in the cities I have resided in to be on a first name basis with the General Manager (Michael in Seattle, Peter in Toronto). This particular Morton's on the evening we were there was in no way exceptional - indeed, I don't recall anything about the dining experience save for that it was in no way exceptional. Why is that noteworthy? Because it was my birthday, and the management at this Morton's had been alerted by my "home" Morton's that I would be dining there, and that I was considered a "special" customer (besides, my reservation should have told them that - I am a Morton's VIP, and am recognized as such whenever I dine at a Morton's). In summary, we decided that this was simply an extension on the negative changes to the Morton's brand since the Landry's takeover...truth is, we have not dined at a Morton's in several months. Morton's has been a special part of my life for more than twenty years, but I believe I have had my last meal there....

Never set foot in a Morton's before and had slated a surprise concert across the street so I figured it would be good to include a dinner out. From the greetings on the sidewalk as we entered, to the multiple staff at our table and the goodbyes on our way out, the staff was top notch. Our waiter Blake made many relevant suggestions and was able to fulfill a simple request I'd made when I set the reservations up. The Manhattan cut of steak was exactly how Blake described: A nice mid point between a Sirloin and a Mignon. One of our salads was topped with a most unusual Pumpkin Brittle that made candied pecans seem wholly inferior. Kudos to the entire staff. Extremely good experience! One thing...I did see several people, who did as I, that needed to bring out their cell phones to hold against the menu to be able to read it in the very dimly lit dining room. The font on the menu, combined with the dim light made it hard for me to read even with my readers on...

My husband and I had date night and had a filling dinner and very quit table. The soups were great and both our steaks were excellent. Love adding just the right veggies and potatoes took alot home.

Made reservations for my wife’s birthday. They seated us in a nice booth already tastefully decorated for the special occasion. Service was prompt and attentive to Covid concerns. Decent Martinis but not chilled. Oh well. They tasted good! Crab cocktails were delicious. We each had a steak and it was cooked to perfection. They were so big we brought some home. They followed up with a complimentary desert. The ambiance was very nice. It’s just sad so many people have not a clue or care even less on how to be a lady or gentleman. Tee shirts and jeans with holes. Can’t figure out how to remove their hats. Being loud. No need to go on. Sadly their behavior is the future of our society. Bottom line is we will be back!

We met family there for a birthday celebration at their happy hour, and were served primarily by Justin, as Max and Will, were also assisting, They all made it fa fun experience, and a night we won't forget. Not only was the service and food impeccable, but the atmosphere was very warm intimate and relaxing.

We went for our birthdays. The menu on the table had “Happy Birthday _____ and _____” printed on it! It just got better from there. Delicious food. Escargot under puff pastry, fresh salad, crusty bread, husband's steak & seafood and my lamb chops all perfection. AND a birthday soufflé, a gift from the restaurant. Some have said it is expensive, we had 1 glass of wine each and 1 cup of coffee each, starter, salad, and 2 enters (no potato/starch item) for $200 including tip- so you decide. They even kept our leftovers in their firg. while we went to a show across the street at the Keller. Just an amazing experience!

Great place to grab early dinner. Three mini filets were wonderful, the shoestring fries are not to be missed, and the tuna taco had just the right amount of heat! Would definately return. The service was superb as well!

We had a lovely dinner with an excellent meat and a wonderful soufflé for desert. The prices although are very high.

Service was good and the servers were knowledgeable about the menu. Food took a bit long, the pork chop was way under cooked and the filet was not a very good cut. The high light by far was the souffle! So airy and light, perfect finish to the meal.

Pre party before anything at Keller this is the place to be. Quick courteous service in the overcrowded bar area, and top notch professionals behind it. Best bar food in PDX, and that is saying a lot.

We went for dinner prior to the theater at the Keller and it was the best. The Morton' salad was very good. My wife had the filet w/mushrooms & spinach and I had the shrimp scampi capellini. Both were very tasty. For desert we had the souffle and it was delicious. A definite top eatery.

Outstanding service on my birthday. Manager and bartender went out of their way to make our evening special. So dad that Morton's closed their Seattle location!

Lots of Happy Hours around, but if one is going to the Keller Auditorium this is about as convenient as it can get - just get there early enough to get a table. Happy Hour wines were very good at decent prices, the Truffle/Garlic french fries were plentiful and hot, and our waiter was kind enough to add one extra portion to the appetizers we chose that were supposed to come as three items. Since we were sharing, four made a lot more sense. The Crab Cakes were extremely good, the Filet Mignon Trio okay. Prices are fair, although a bit on the high side for Happy Hours, but that's to be expected at Morton's.

We've come to this restaurant several times over the years. It has a nice atmosphere, excellent service, and valet service available. The steaks are hard to beat. This time the three of us had halibut, Sea bass, and a double pork chop. The sea bass and Pork chop were excellent; the halibut was disappointingly mediocre. And depending on what you're looking for, this restaurant is quite dim and fairly noisy -- somewhat difficult to have a conversation at a table of four people. It is right across from the theater, however, so that is a real bonus. There is on street parking as well as a parking garage across the street.

Dined here with with friends not too long ago. This one of the "go too's" for great steak. Atmosphere warm and relaxing. Service is top notch. The menu selections and food preparation is great!

On a Friday night (7pm reservation) the restaurant wasn't crowded but there were enough people there to make it comfortable. The service was amazing. Everything about the food was awesome. It was the best steak I've ever had and I love that you can split the side dishes (which were EXCELLENT). I can't say enough about what a great meal it was. Our server was professional and VERY knowledgeable about the menu and wine and steak. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many creative dishes on the menu (not just steak). I am really surprised that the restaurant was not packed! I think if you want an amazing meal in Portland, skip the latest trendy place with a long wait for a table and head to Morton's. You won't be disappointed. It was our first time there and we will definitely go back!

We made reservations for last Saturday evening for four prior to seeing a concert. They made us aware that they knew of our time constraints and made sure everything was amazing & served in just the right amount of time. Between all of us we had the filet, bacon wrapped scallops, crab cakes, escargot, poke & two different kinds of shrimp....all were wonderful! I MUST mention that their table bread was they very best I have ever had!!!! Great meal, great ambience, great service from start to finish!!

The service was terrible and it took over an hour to get our food. When I expressed my displeasure to the manager his response was “We will try better next time” We were celebrating our birthdays and wont be returning. It is too expensive for subpar service and mediocre food.

My Husband and I went to Morton's in Portland before a Show. They were very considerate and made sure we had plenty of time to eat and make the show on time. The lemon drop was fresh squeezed and the bread was warm and delicious. The server Shane was amazing. He was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and made some wonderful suggestions. He also prepared us for some of the desert items that would take extra time to prepare. Our dinner was fantastic. The filet was prepared perfectly. The prices are comparable to other high end steak houses in Portland such as El Gaucho or Ruth Chis and all items are ala carte. Overall a great Date Night!

I have had the pleasure of dining at Morton's this week. The service was spot on, the lobster bisque was the best I ever had. The meal was done so perfectly it melts in your mouth. A little pricey, that is why not the 5 stars. Otherwise it is worth the trip there. Our waiter from London was absolutely attentive to our every need. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Portland area.

We were going to a show at the Keller Auditorium so decided to have dinner at Morton's The Steakhouse right across the street for convenience. Excellent overall with some hits & misses. On the hit side, can't say enough about the Classic Filet Oscar -- simply delicious! The steak itself was great: flavorful, so tender & cooked expertly. The "Oscar", both the crab & the sauce, were spectacular and plenty of both. We also very much enjoyed "The Troy". The Caesar Salad, sadly, wasn't a hit: the dressing wasn't remarkable & the romaine wasn't very crisp -- in fact, the salad was a disappointment. We also had the Asparagus as a side; it was fine. To end our meal, we had the "Legendary" chocolate lava cake ... meh. Service was fine though did find it odd that our server brought a second bottle of Pelligrino without our asking for it (& yes, we were charged for 2 bottles). Would we return -- yes: for the steak!

Morton's is always a great place for steaks. This Morton's took it a step further in as we had the tuna tower as an appetizer, which was wonderful. Always ask for the 'specials' when visiting any Morton's. only a handful across the country do not participate. This seasons special was four courses for $49 and included the choice of the 6 ounce filet. The 6 ounce file ALONE on the regular menu was $39. It was a great meal at a fantastic price....but you have to ask.

The food at Morton's is pretty consistent and good if you're looking for a good meal and good service. However, the new "club" style of music that all of the Morton's have gone to is not to our liking and we miss the old Frank Sinatra music. Also, the volume of the music is so loud that it is difficult to have a conversation. We probably won't be back.

Having dinner at our favorite steakhouse, Morton’s, in downtown Portland. Best steakhouse in Portland !! 5 star service and fabulous food! Feel totally safe and happy to be here! Portland businesses are alive and well and thriving!

We thought it would be nice to have a happy hour dinner here before a show at the Keller. (Book of Mormon. A must see!) The small bar was packed, so we ate in the dining room. I had looked at the menu on-line, and noticed they didn't include prices. $13 for a baked potato. $20 for a four (farmed) shrimp appetizer. $12 for onion rings. We split a few things, and had a couple of drinks. Their wine list, by the glass, is excellent. The service was very good, the food really no big deal, and the bill . . . We have enjoyed wonderful steak dinners at Ringside on Burnside. Plus their onion rings and salads are much better! I would choose this place again only if we could get into the bar. But I most probably won't choose this place again. There are other restaurants near the Keller that are better and more reasonably prices.

We ate here before seeing a show at Keller Auditorium across the street and it was fantastic! My wife's steak was perfect and the bacon wrapped scallops were the best I've ever had. Our waiter, Blake, was great and he made sure we were out in time to make it to our show.

While in Portland for a job interview, my husband and I decided the Prime Burger and a salad at the bar at Morton's would be the perfect ending to a perfect four day stay. We arrived around 6 and the bar was packed due to a show getting ready to begin across the street. We left and walked around the river front and returned about 45 minutes later and the bar was not empty but perfect. We grabbed two seats at the bar, ordered drinks and the bartenders were great. We ordered the beefsteak tomato salad and the chopped salad and two prime burgers. The salads arrived just as we finished our drinks and they were fantastic as usual. Pretty quick our ordered medium burgers arrived and after dressing them up with our respective condiments and cut them in half they practically mooed! The bartender immediately said "Oh no, these are not medium, we are sending them back". The burgers came back no more than 5 minutes later and they were hockey pucks with cold cheddar on top of the previously melted cheddar. It was obvious they molded our burgers back, recooked them and put them on new buns. Obviously the bartender knew because he never came to check on us. Truly a disappointment for $17 burgers and more disappointing that this was what Morton's thought of as their true customer excellence experience. Next time, we may reconsider going to Capital Grille.

My husband and I have been to this restaurant a number of times so I decided to review it. If you come to Morton's you need to make sure you are coming for a leisurely dinner. Don't come here and expect to have a great 45 minute meal. Half of the dinner is the experience. The steaks here are so good, that you want to savor every bite - especially if you order a really nice bottle of wine to go with it. Everything here is a la carte, so be prepared financially. Yes, this is a spendy restaurant. It is so worth it though. They have every cut of steak that you can imagine and they are very good about cooking it how you like it. My husband even raves about how well they can cook a steak to order. He loves medium-rare steaks and it seems like so many other places we go they serve him a medium and call it medium rare. The service here is wonderful. We've had a few different waiters and they have all been very attentive, but not bothersome. They have also always recommended good wine for us if we tell them what we are in the mood for. A word of warning - because this restaurant is right next to the Keller Auditorium, they are always booked on nights when there is a play. They do take reservations, so if you're looking for a quiet evening out, reserve on a night there isn't a show. Also, as my title states, they aren't really "vegetarian friendly". Yes they have vegetables here, but nothing in the way of a main course.

I guess the old Morton's of Chicago has been renamed by the new owners. I still miss the meat plate coming to your table so you can choose your cut. But the meat quality and flavor is still there. Try the Hash browns, this is not your breakfast hash browns. Just remember that this is mostly a-la-carte dinner and it can be expensive

Morton’s Restaurant This evening’s meal was a special treat for my wife & I. It was time for a change from Portland’s fantastic seafood and a steak dinner was in order. For those who haven’t heard Morton’s is a national chain with multiple locations across the U.S., they are best known for their steaks but also do an admirable job with seafood. Our server brought fresh baked Onion Bread to the table and took our drink orders while we perused the menu. Menu prices can catch your breath so keep this in mind when ordering. My wife and I opted to split an appetizer of scallops, a wedge salad and then a baked potato to accompany our entrees. My thoughts were leaning toward the braised short ribs while my wife had set her eyes on the filet. We ordered our entrees medium rare, everything was prepared to perfection! Our server, Joann was well versed on the house specialties and very comfortable with recommending cocktails appropriate for the evening. Joann was accompanied by Renaldo who took extra care with not just the water glasses but light conversation that made the meal even more enjoyable. These two put forth the extra effort to make our visit just a step above the extraordinary meal usually provided by Morton’s. Patrick, a member of management, visited with us and asked if there was anything he might add to make the evening even more enjoyable. The evening was already a memorable occasion! Depending on the day of the week the ambiance may change. Monday through Friday sees more of a business atmosphere given that most Morton’s facilities are in a downtown sitting. Alternatively, Saturdays & Sundays the ambiance evolves, becoming that location for a romantic first date or even a quiet family gathering spot. I highly recommend Morton’s for that special occasion!

By far, the best steak that I have had in years. Expertly prepared, great sides, and to top it off, the best carrot cake I've ever had. (The hint of orange in the icing was very refreshing!) The only downsides were the noise level, and a too-small table. It was a packed house (I think there was some sort of a theatre show later in the evening.) , so I can understand the noise level, however the table we had (we did have reservations, and were one of the first tables seated) was cramped, and we didn't have room for the food we ordered to all be on the table. Fortunately we had a little ledge next to our table, and were able to offload some of the table trinkets there. (salt, pepper, candle, ...) We will be back, however given the price it won't be frequently.

Perfectly prepared steak, tasty brussel sprouts and excellent cocktails - all served in the bar. It wasn't a busy night, but they had no seats in the dining room without a reservation so we ate in the bar. Full menu and I cant imagine how the dining room could have given better service than what we got. Worth a stop. Easy walking distance from the Marriott Waterfront

If you've never eaten at a Morton's, you're denying yourself one of the greatest pleasures in life. Three of us went for a business dinner. We got two appetizers for the table. The "Ahi Tower", for me, could've used a bit more ahi and a lot less everything else, but it was still very tasty. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were so big they could've been a meal in themselves. Big, ice cold and meaty. We ordered a lobster for the table. Our server, Kevin, brought over a lobster (still alive) and asked "Is this one fine with you?". It was the lobester was perfectly prepared. I ordered the New York steak. I'm comfortable saying that it could easily be in the top five steaks I've ever had. It was simply extraordinary. The baked potato, too, was prepared absolutely perfectly. My two companions shared a porterhouse and, from what I could tell, it was probably every bit as good as my New York. For dessert, I got the creme brulee, and my colleagues each got soufflees. Again, absolute excellence in all regards. Now, make no mistake, this was not an inexpensive dinner; not by a long shot. Had there not been an expense account involved, it's doubtful we'd have chosen this restaurant. But a chance. to dine at Morton's simply should not be missed.

We have celebrated our anniversary at Morton's for the last 8 years, but unfortunately I think this year will be our last. I want to say up front, the food was excellent, as always, and our waiter was polite and attentive. Where Morton's fell flat this time was in ambiance and experience. They have recently remodeled the Portland location and I personally don’t care for it. They removed the wall separating the bar from the dining room, removed the banquet tables that used to line that wall and expanded the bar seating. This is good news if all you are looking for is happy hour. It's not good news if you loved the cozy booths and romantic dining room. Now the majority of the seating space looks right into the bar and its TVs. It felt like we were sitting in a very expensive sports bar. They also removed part of the kitchen wall, and between the kitchen clatter and the bar chatter, the dining room has gotten much louder. It's lost that old-world steakhouse feel. I could live with the décor change if the experience had lived up to our expectations. There is a reason we went to Morton's every year for our anniversary, and it's because they did such a great job with all the little touches that made our evening special. Every year for seven years, we would arrive to an anniversary greeting at the door, a special message printed on our menus, a complimentary photo and a special dessert. They also without fail seated us in one of the banquets as we requested. This year - not a single thing. We were seated at an uncomfortably small 2-person table that wasn't even large enough to hold the menus, let alone our meals. It was a juggling act all evening. I asked about the empty booths (there are still three left) when we were seated and was told they were reserved - even though one remained empty for our entire meal. Now, when you make a reservation online, it asks if you are celebrating a special occasion, which one and you can add notes for the maître d. I entered the same notes I have for years. SO either someone didn’t read the reservation notes, or they no longer offer those extras. Either way, we were left with a decent meal, but nothing special. Here's the thing: if they had never done all the other stuff - and been so consistent with it for so long - we wouldn't have expected it and we wouldn’t have been so disappointed. We might go back to Morton's for a drink in the bar but I don't think we'll be back for a special occasion. Portland is full of excellent restaurants and even other high end steakhouses - where we probably won’t be distracted by the soccer game on the TV.

For at least 10 years my family has enjoyed a Xmas Eve meal at Morton's Portland - or should I say we used to enjoy. In the last three (3) years the service and quality has degraded to the point that I won't return. Specifically, in 2011 my son has to return his steak three (3) times because not only was the steak not cooked it was actually FROZEN in the middle. After the third time Morton's comp'd his steak, but it should not have ever happened. Xmas Eve Decemember 2012 was more of the same. Two of the five meals were cold, the servers unattentive (water glasses never filled, waiter/busers never stopped by to see how things were going, etc.). The service was slow and the food was uninspired. For a premium price you should receive a premium product. I am writing this now becuase I recently ate at a gormet rest. and had a fabulous experience. It reminded me of how Morton's used to be.

Ashley are server both nights did a great job. We took clients to Mortons and neither night were we disappointed. Most menu items are sizable and sharing is encouraged. Save room for the souffle - lemon was so good, but again big enough to share. The steaks are perfection.

We had our car valet parked upon arrival. Next we were warmly greeted and immediately seated honoring our reservation. Patrons ranged from well dressed to sports team jersey with baseball caps. Our menu was personalized with our names and anniversary at the top! Wow! Service was perfect. The managers and wait staff worked as a team to make sure all went smoothly, and it did. Appetizers for us included oysters, bacon wrapped deep sea scallops, and crab cakes. The bread was a big hot loaf of onion bread. The Morton salad was huge so we shared one between us. Steaks were tender and cooked exactly as ordered. The blue cheese butter was awesome. The wine list was excellent. Dessert was a chocolate soufflé and a giant sundae with a chocolate cake base. Our meal was expensive but worth every penny. We will remember our anniversary at Mortons.

I have been visited twice, previous one in Canada. But I found it seems the portion became smaller. We love the scallop and steak. It is quite fresh. You must make reservation in advance.

We enjoyed a wonderful fine dining experience at Morton's while in Portland to attend an event at the Keller Auditorium, which is right across the street. The food is expensive but we loved it. The service, from the doormen to the server was top notch. I recommend Morton's for a great fine dining experience.

The Morton's was just next to our hotel and my friend had never visited. I have been to several across the country. He is a big fan of steak and so am I. Although I have had fish in another Morton's. Anyway, we both ordered filets which were perfectly prepared with just the right amount of seasoning. Not too much as some other steakhouses do. The flavor of the meat really stood out. The sides were very good as well, cannot go wrong with mashed potatoes and the sautéed brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts are served with shallots and bacon. Simply delicious. The service is legendary with lots of attention, the proper silverware brought or replaced. After the meal the hostess cheerfully got my coat and called a cab. Felt the server talked a bit too much but that was part of the charm. I enjoyed the meal so much that I promised my wife that I would take her to a Morton's on our vacation. And the consistency of the Morton's seems to be very good across the brand.

Very Dated. A bit smelly. For the prices the food NOT worth it. Service was good but makes for a undesirable experience with average food. Two thumbs down.

My father came to Portland to visit me, and we decided to give Morton's a try. We were highly impressed. The dining room is beautiful, and the hostess was extremely friendly. She offered to take our jackets and store them while we eat. Our waiter was kind and experienced, and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and the specials. I ordered the 12 oz filet mignon, and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. It was one of the best fillets I have had. The side dishes were excellent, but they do not automatically come with your steak. Instead, you order side dishes separately, and each is large enough to share between at least two people. They have a nice dessert menu, and it was extensive for a fine-dining restaurant. Be careful, however; the dessert portions are huge! In conclusion, I'd say Morton's is a one-of-a-kind experience for anyone visiting the beautiful city of Portland. It was an outstanding restaurant, and I hope to dine there again soon.

The steaks were excellent and the bacon wrapped scallops were the best I have ever eaten. The server was very personable and always kept our coffee cups full. A very enjoyable experience. The only negatives are that it is very expensive and it lacks the ambience I expect at this price point. My 14 ounce bone in filet was $69 and my wife's grill combo was $59. add coffee, a salad (big enough to share) and a potato (also shared) and you are now closing in on $100 each. A nice touch is the soufflé was comped for our anniversary. The table layout was more in line with filling all available space and not with an intimate dining experience. We sat as far away from the bar crowd as we could but the sound level was still more than hoped for.

Excellent service and food. I always order the chicken dishes. They are always cooked to perfection. The servers pay attention to every detail to insure we have an enjoyable dining experience. We love coming here before an event at the Keller Auditorium.

Had a late night dinner after attending a performance at the Keller. We've heard about Morton's for years but this was our first opportunity to dine here. Better than expectations. The steaks were phenomenal, our sides and appetizers were excellent. The service from our waitress, hostess, bus staff and manager, were all top notch. Highly recommend this restaurant, if your budget can take a bit of a hit.

After having feasted on steaks in Portlands other fine and renowned steak houses my expectations probably were a little high, Yet, this place and their steaks simply were not memorable. I would not go back. There are better places for the money spent.

...cuz this place is E X P E N S I V E! My wife and I were downtown for a show and decided to check out Morton's. I knew the place was expensive because the website menu did show prices. I had heard from a few people that Morton's had the best steaks.. Yup, they were good, Texas Roadhouse is just as good and a helluva lot cheaper. Did I say this place was expensive? I had a fish platter for $55 and my wife had a tenderloin for $50. We shared. The food was very good and the service exceptional. Our total bill was $220. We had 2 apps, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, 1 coke and a whiskey flight.

This was our first visit to Morton's and we enjoyed our meal. Our server was very good at explaining that the serving size was quite large, so we ordered accordingly. I had the Sea Bass and it was served over bok choy, my husband ordered the filet, scallop and shrimp combination meal. It was served with asparagus. Since we didn't realize that a vegetable was served with it, we ordered the sauteed spinach and mushrooms (we would have gone with potato instead). We both felt the scallops were underdone, but the shrimp was fantastic. The steak was ordered medium but was served medium well to well done. The bread was delicious and huge.

Picked a Monday night to visit the restaurant at 6pm. The dining room could probably seat over 100 people with tables in the center of the room and banquet booths along the walls. The lighting is very soft, however, in the booths the overhead lighting is much brighter and it was easy to read paperwork we needed to discuss at this business dinner. The entire menu is ala carte - the only complimentary items are the onion bread (excellent crust and soft interior) and a glass of water. A glass of wine is around $10, triple that for the bottle, my rib eye steak was $44 so that is the general platform for the pricing. One person ordered a lettuce wedge salad and got a dinner plate with a quarter head of iceburg lettuce on it with toppings. Much more than he wanted. Two of us split a chopped lettuce salad with toppings and that was more than adequate. The steaks were excellent, cooked exactly to order and seasoned just right. I shared a baked potatoe which was well cooked. However, the toppings were only butter, sour cream and bacon bits. I would have expected in addition, chives, grated cheese and maybe another item to take the potatoe up several notches over what is offered at Denny's. One of our diners ordered sea bass and that was rubbery and not cooked well in the center. It is served with lump crab sauce. Morton's in Portland, is 80 miles from the famous Dungeness Crab fishing grounds and doesn't have any! We were one of about 5 tables having dinner. As it was a slow night, we had a very quiet relaxing dinner, although the poorly prepared Sea Bass knocked a star off this review, because at these prices the food should be absolutely perfect. The service was excellent. Jeremy, our waiter was completely knowledgeable on all aspects of the menu and fairly well versed on the wine list. Also attentive to our table was the Maitre'D who made a few slow passes by the table to see if we needed anything. While dining here can dent your credit card pretty good ($360 for 3 people without tip), it is not the best steak I have ever had, the potatoe was bleh, the salad was very good but not outstanding in any way - so what justifies coming to Morton's? Well, maybe the valet parking (for a fee) and a very good wait staff, and somber (think 1960's country club) atmosphere, and you wish to impress someone by your willingness to spend money.

Ordinarily, we wouldn't frequent a pricey establishment like this, but we had a gift card to use. Wow! It was an anniversary outing for just the two of us, and JACKPOT! We got there early enough to get a table. Immediately the lineup behind us began, and it was out to the street before we got done. HInt: Get there early. Our table was located at the intersection of the waiting line and the opening to the bar. Yes, we were thankful to have gotten the table, but as the crowd thickened we found ourselves getting bumped around by the seething mass of both patrons and servers. We put up with it, but it would have been more comfortable to keep the waiting patrons out of the bar area and send a server out to them in the entry- at least for the previously seated guests. Yeah, I know, it's Happy Hour. What do I expect? Well, how about good food and drinks? Check. The gin martini made with just the house gin was terrific (had to have another). Served "up," two olives. Scary good. My date (wife) had a really good cocktail, too... Sorry neither one of us can remember what its was. Now bring on the filet mignon trio and some fries, along with some tuna tacos, and folks, we've got a meal! The meat cut like butter and was topped with different flavoring for each one. They were awesome. The tuna tacos were just the right balance of fish and vegetables. She loved them. Top it off with some dark chocolate cake and a serving of cheesecake, and we're all in. An $80 happy hour? Not typical, for sure. But I'd have to say there's a huge difference from your local pub happy hour and this one. For us, about once every five years will do it (but if the memory lingers, we may hit it again this year). The downsides: One of them already mentioned- crowding. The other? Sheeesh it took a long time to wrap up our tab and vacate the table. We wanted to be polite and get out of there but waited a LONG time for the tab to come through. Gotta get that glitch fixed. Bottom line. . . if you want great food and drink, and willing to pony up some coin to do it, Morton's won't disappoint. Gotta fix the table logistics and the time it took to get it closed out. It was a great way to start our 46th year together.

We've been here 6 times now, in over a 12 year period. Never had a bad meal or service. Steaks have been perfect, awesome service & every side or dessert has been impeccable.

Not only is the food the best you probably get in town the service is over the top. ^ people and 3 hours of fine dinning. Thank you Morton's.

My husband and I celebrated our19th anniversary there with my nephew and his wife (also their 9th anniversary). To our surprise they had preprinted the menu to say, "We wish you a very Happy Anniversary" along with the date on our menu. The service was excellent and we never wanted for anything. Whatever was partially emptied was filled immediately. Great service and great food. One of the waiters even remembered us, though we had only been there once before, about a year ago. Awesome experience!

While my husband and I were visiting our son in Portland, we decided to treat him to a special dinner. He's a real steak lover, so we chose Morton's - a restaurant we hadn't visited for many years, but one where we had always enjoyed a great meal in the past. Well, everything was perfect! Our filets were perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was outstanding and our waiter's red wine recommendation was THE best. Yes, the prices are a bit high, but the meat is the finest you'll ever eat. Our son really appreciated this special dinner -- and couldn't thank us enough afterward. We look forward to returning for another delicious meal when we're in Portland again!

I have waited a few weeks to comment, thinking the memories might improve, but no. Celebrating our 31st anniversary with dinner at this place was about as romantic as speed dating. We were "greeted" by no less than six different staff during the meal. Constant unnecessary interruptions made conversation impossible. Multiple requests to clear our plates before we were ready added to the sense that they really wanted us to go. I could go on about the overdone filet, the insipid lemon meringue dessert we didn't ask for and-- you get the picture. Mortons could learn a lot from fine restaurants in Europe where waitstaff are discretely present and do not butt in unless summoned.

This is our new favorite restaurant. The food is top notch. Steaks (and seafood) don't get better than this for us. We have now been here 3 times in the last several months, and plan to go more often! I love their bread better than any other restaurant I've been to. I have had beef dishes here that are to die for. Their side dishes (mushrooms, potatoes, anything you pick) are incredible. Our last recent visit, I decided to have King crab legs. It has been a long time, and I thought I would probably be disappointed. OMG - fantastic - huge portion, the top of the shells off so that I could thoroughly enjoy the crab legs without having to fuss with breaking the shells. The crab meat melted in my mouth. Perfection. They have wonderful desserts too (Key Lime Pie). We love the staff - Mark, Matt, John S, Steve (the manager), the Sommeliers and the Chefs. They all make Morton's such an incredible, lovely experience. For us, it has to be about the food and the staff. Morton's does that. They also have a wonderful wine list and cocktails. I love their atmosphere, and how everyone there makes you feel special. Lastly, when we were here in October for my BF's mother's birthday - they treated her so well. She said it was the best Birthday she had. I can't wait for our next meal here.

Went for dinner there expecting top notch food and service. All we found was top notch prices. Have never paid so much for mediocre steaks anywhere! It became the joke of our trip to try and find a place with entrees as expensive as Morton's. Imagine our surprise when we could not. The restaurant itself was okay. Noisy, not fantastic ambience. Final thoughts. Just skip it! You are paying dearly for the name and nothing else!

We really enjoyed our dinner!! We have been in many Morton’s and this was another great experience. Our waiter was extremely nice and attentive really making the experience more enjoyable. And the food..oh God.. it was just spectacular. We had the Lobster bisque, Salmon and Filet mignon followed by a Chocolate soufflé. It was yesterday and today still I recall the great taste of everything. This franchise is definitely one of our favorites. Never will disappoint you. Not cheap but worth every dollar. Bravo guys!

We were in Portland for a Nursing Simulation Conference and I learned Morton's was close by. I went there to see if I needed to heed a certain dress code. I asked about reservations and was offered a time shortly after many would be leaving for the theater across the street. This was also within walking distance from the Portland Marriott Downtown. Our server was helpful without being overbearing. Margot was excellent. We had a very nice "special" dinner.
Made me feel very special
I was taken here on my birthday and Morton's couldn't have made it more special. They presented us with a custom-printed menu that read "Happy Birthday Dave" across the top. Then, the hostess took our picture, and within minutes, presented us with the photo in a black folder that she had decorated with a sliver-paint pen. We had an amazing dinner, which culminated in a complementary chocolate soufflé with a candle. Very special experience.
