No matter what you order you will be completely satisfied. We had an assortment of appetizers followed by the meal and desert. We had a range of seafood and steaks. It was all very well prepared and delicious. The service was outstanding

We are locals..... Wife and I had family all over for Labor Day weekend.....we celebrated our anniversary "Alone" tonight for the $100 dinner promo......wow what a treat. First wanted to compliment Brian, he was very professional, pleasant, and great demeanor. Timing on service, refills, etc were spot on. Wife had the salmon and I had the filet, (med rare) and both perfectly cooked. Saw other reviews regarding avg. service and guess we went on the right night...nothing average about the night. Just what we went for...fine dining, warm jazzy atmosphere, nice vino, great meal....followed with a killer creme brulee & key lime pie. Thanks again Brian for your excellent service and the manager, Mark for making it a wonderful evening. .

Steak s were tough and grisly. Brussels sprouts were tough and inedible. Best part of the meal was the salad, mashed potatoes, baked potato, and the asparagus. Had to remind wait staff to bring vegetables and butter. The onion bread is fresh, if unremarkable.

My husband made reservations for my birthday dinner. I was surprised when the printed menu greeted me on my birthday. The waiter took our photo and delivered it before the entree.

Classic steakhouse, you can expect your steak cooked to perfection. They have a great selection of appetizers, recommend seafood combination and the bruschetta. There is also a good selection of malts and wine. They have private rooms for events.

A wonderful meal with attentive service. Magnificient attention to detail. The Grand Marnier souffle is amazing. As a place for relaxing with flavorful food and excellent service it has no real rival. It has a great old city vibe and attentive service that does not embrace the more formal atmosphere of more elegant venues.

Came for our daughters birthday during Culinaria. The restaurant is not very large so it is very loud. Once special touch was our personalized menu for the birthday we were celebrating. Service was VERY slow, and we had asked Gus why the delay; he stated it was policy to not place the next course of our menu... our potatoes were lukewarm. Steaks were amazing. Desserts were now ready to come and they no longer have Creme Brûlée BUT for additional $$ we can have something else or wait 20 minutes. Why promote yourself for Culinaria if you have issue with giving that menu? I am disappointed that we had to ask for everything and that we have to “upgrade” our dessert when they weren’t prepared. Service timing is typically the waiters responsibility and that’s pretty much why we think. Our dessert was prepared to go and as you can see in the photo was disgusting- with no utensils. Won’t be returning and the staff could give a crap- sums it all up.

The service here was excellent. It has been a while since we have had a server that was engaging and actually enjoyed their job! With "tipflation," I finally felt hoid about leaving a good tip. The food was excellent and we had a great time.

Looking for a nice place with a reasonable steak size (6 oz), we visited this place. It is pricey but the service and the ambiance are up to par. I ordered my "filet Diane", very tasty although on the salty side. The side dishes are ordered separate. The manager was kind enough the replace my steak for another one without the sauce, to accommodate my dietary needs at no extra cost. If price is not an issue, it is a good option amidst the hectic pace of the city

We were with a group and had reservations. As soon as we arrived we were seated. Excellent wine list and full bar. Being a large group, our choices of 3 entrees were already decides; 12 oz Filet Mignon, Red Snapper covered with lump crab, asparagus and capers, or Ribeye. Prior to our meal we were served crab balls, bruschetta, and tuna tar-tar, Caesar salad, and mashed potatoes with our entrees. Dessert was cheesecake with raspberries and blueberries and a chocolate mousse cup, EVERYONE was pleased with the taste and quality of all of the food. Our waiters were excellent and attentive.

This was only my second time going to a Morton's Steak House. My husband has been several times in the past. This unfortunately will be our last visit. My salad was watery and my steak was cooked to death. They did make it right though. They didn't charge for the steak or salad. But we were just very disappointed.

Grady has great customer service he explained things Patrick kept checking on us Jamal got the food melted Priscilla the front hostess wasn’t nice at all she needs more guest service training. However the food was ok . I went with friends.

We were at Morton's for Culinary Week which featured a three course menu. Their bread was delicious, melted in your mouth. I had the onion soup that was just OK, actually I like Applebee's better. My husband had the Ceasar salad which he enjoyed. We both had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly to our taste. The mashed potatoes were only warm, not hot. Our desserts were chocolate mousse (nothing special) and cheesecake which was fabulous.

We attended and booked as a group of 10. In one context we were very happy to be accommodated. Overall I can say the attention of the waiter was very good...but it did feel like they just need some extra staff. Its always a little disappointing that your server only arrives to make the standard 'how is your meal' discussion. I think in all the years of group travel i would be really keen to see a restaurant drive a different change in how staff approached this. Ultimately...the food was a let down - pretty much for everyone at the table. Every steak was cooked one grade higher than expected. Rare was medium rare, medium rare was cooked medium, medium was cooked medium well etc. This had us all guessing - were we out on out understanding...or was the kitchen off? Everyone felt the same...so it was a collective disappointment. In saying this...the quality of the meat was exceptional...so the meals were not ruined...but we did not get what we paid for. And as a group we just couldn't go through the motion of asking for all to be cooked again. But you could feel the disappointment around the table. Finally when the bill came through - we had the 18% gratuity added and this was written on top of the taxable total. Many from our table were from overseas...but im not...and this is just not something that is to be done. You dont tip on tax. we were not tourists...but this made us feel this way. So, excellent quality food...should have been prepared better...and a presumption that non US people will be duped.

Our experience at Morton’s was unreal and very uncommon. There was a small wait for our table, so my Dad and I sat at the bar and ordered a drink. The bartenders took great care of us, were very friendly and conversational. The host was so patient and kind to us, when he informed us our table was ready he said, “Please take all the time you need.” Our server Andrea (I hope that’s right), was very attentive and patient with us, allowing us all the time we needed. Two managers came by the table, one to open our bottle of wine and another to check on everything. Both were extremely kind and hospitable. This was one of the most memorable dining experiences I have ever had and we will 100% be back. Thank you, Morton’s for a special evening!

The staff at this San Antonio location were absolutely a dream. We were here for our wedding the weekend of July 4th 2020: COVID-19 induced revolution. The awesome staff took many photos of us and had one printed and framed with the Morton’s logo. All extra enlightenments along with excellent top-notched dinner. Food, wine, company and great comforts. They went the extra mile when they didn’t have too. Thank you again.

I dined here with 6 others for dinner. The steak entrees were not examples of impressive cooking; the appetizers and salads were inventive and very good; the salmon was OK; all side dishes were extremely heavy and overwhelming in taste, and, the desserts were extravagantly constructed but simply OK. I do not recommend their shrimp cocktail - bleh. Service was consistent. The interior lacks all appeal; it's dark, without any window views, and outdated.

My boyfriend and I went to Morton's last minute. Let me tell you not only was the service great, but the food was amazing. We ordered the shrimp Alexander and crab cakes for an appetizer which was cooked to perfection. The Chicken Christopher was absolutely my favorite. We also had the Lobster Mac and Cheese which my boyfriend couldn't stop eating. Really great experience all around.

as always, fresh oysters , large selection of wines , excellent service. The ribeye with bone was cooked perfectly medium rare , flavorful, soft , with a Julian Gil red wine! And finish with a Islay single malt !

Table was ready for the 11 of us. Waiters were very knowledgeable. No problem in having the checks spit up. Food was just so tasty!!!! Steak was quite favorable. Recommend the dining!!!

Beware your wallet or budget will take a hit at this and every other Morton's I have visited. As every other time the steak was cooked perfectly and the lyonnaise potatoes are a must. Others got deserts and that i sampled. Rich chocolate goodness to be sure. You could eat here more often if you had the means or budget because of the varied menu. I will be back on the next trip.

We have visited Mortons all over, and this Mortons had all the qualities that always set Mortons above the rest. First the warm welcome we received upon entering was very nice and comforting, the wonderful bartenders “ both named Alex” were so friendly, helpful, and made wonderful drinks. Dinner was so delicious with perfectly done steaks and seafood that is always the best available anywhere. The wine selection at all Mortons is as good or better than any other high quality restaurants anywhere. The other treasure is the ALAMO only a block away. Oh

Not sure what happened with our table but it took a few hours for to eat and get our check. The steak was descent. The cauliflower mash ARE A MUST. Creme Brulee was pretty good too.

Enjoying some drinks & some bar bites in the bar area. Their steak's are amazing but so are their burger's, that's why I usually eat at the bar. Some menu item's are differnt & too me you get faster service in the bar versus the reatraunt. Even if you order a steak & sid still faster. The bar staff is attentive, professional just as the restraunt staff is. This is why I alway's comeback to Morton's.

I waited a while before I posted this. I have eaten at lots of Mortons lots of times. Huge fan. This was a bad meal with mediocre service. Wedge salads still had the bitter core attached. Not center cut like advertised. Two of the three steaks were not cooked properly. Only 4 tables on a Saturday night. Something is not right with this location. So disappointing. Side dishes were good.

Great wine and steaks with a seafood tower of lobster, crab, oyster, and shrimp makes for a wonderful business dinner or dinner with great friends or family

They offered special menu items at a lower cost if you eat before 6:30 or after 9. We were there when the opened at 5 and had good wine and food and a very reasonable cost.

I have been here for the last two year.the restaurant keeps its high standards the meat is excellent service very good wine selection very wide. I enjoyed it very much

My daughter treated me to a lobster dinner--superb. We had eaten a lobster dinner 3 nights earlier at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and this was just as good. Our waiter was Michael who was very attentive and helpful. The Maitre d seated me at table 15--I am 82 yrs old. Very polite staff. Several other staff checked on us to see if we were satisfied. We will definitely go again. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We even took dessert home --fantastic and delicious.

Want a nice night out? Date night with that very special someone, to celebrate a new job, a birthday, an anniversary? This is the place! It's elegant, it's special, the ambience is terrific (even in the bar). Be prepared to open your wallet wide, but know that the food is wonderful and the service is top notch.

Morton's quality never disappoints, but their prices seem to have gone up. We both had a small 6 oz filet from the grill menu section, two glasses of house wine, and an appetizer, for a total, with tip, of $250. Also, we did not have a reservation for our 7:00 dinner (on a Wednesday), and we were kept waiting for 20 minutes in the bar. After entering, we noticed that the dining room was only about half occupied during our entire 1-1/2 hour dinner. I think they just wanted us to buy a drink?

Though when we walked in we thought we were under dressed; so was everyone else. Very "fancy" and the prices reflect it. But I feel the quality is some of the best we had on our trip. Excellent service also. The bread was great as well.So if you want to take your "date" out and impress her this place will do it.

Romantic dinner, great customer service, top quality food and wine. Dinner was amazing, with great desert.

We were uncertain about going into a place this fancy with the kids but it worked. The waiter was great and made great suggestions for us to order. We have a family style dinner. We ordered 2 aged New York strips and they cut it up into slices so we could all share. We ordered truffle fries which were nice and crispy. The asparagus had an awesome glaze sauce on them that even the kids liked. The house salad with the avocado was amazing! I would go back for just the salad. I was however not expecting a $200 bill from a chain restaurant. Classy but expensive!!!

Great steaks, service and chocolate cake to celebrate with my Bride and son. Morton's had special menus printed for the occasion.

The service was ok- had to ask for bread twice. The food was way overpriced and not very good. Go to Texas Roadhouse for a much better steak. The scallops were way overdone. The au gratin potatoes were very dry. Non- Alcoholic drink was $10, but they did give it a fancy name- Spa something So disappointed. Spent over $300, not counting tip.

The best service I've ever had. Knowledgeable staff and an excellent meal... The Kobe beef steak was perfect.

My business associate and I sat in the bar because we wanted to watch some basketball during dinner. One negative was the amount on time it took for someone to come and take our order. We sat at the table for almost 15 mins. before someone came by. Bar was NOT busy at all! Once we did get our order placed, it did not take very long for us to get our food. The food was amazing and HOT! Getting hot food is critical for me. All-in-all, I would go back!

It was very cold, and Morton's was across the street from the hotel. A bit pricy, but the quality was awesome. I had a mid-size fillet mignon, with a side cauliflower mash...the mash was out of this world good.

My husband took me to Morton’s for the first time. I look forward to patrons dressing up when going out. We were having a birthday celebration. The food was awesome and I loved the drinks. Yes, it was a little spendy but for a date night or special occasion, I believe it’s worth it. Our waiter Steven was amazing !!! We will sit in his section when we return.

We had a wonderful dinner and the service was great. Our waiter was attentive and our steaks were very good, cooked to perfection. I heard so much about Morton’s and it worth the try.

Every year Morton's features a 2 lb lobster for $35. We decided to go again this year. The lobster was delicious. It did not include sides so this can get pricey. Great service and management.

Unexpected wet, cold weather prevented us from walking any distance for dinner. Morton's was across the street from the hotel and reservations were available. The last night of a min-vacation we wanted a nice, romantic dinner. Morton's it the bill. Stephen, our waiter, was outstanding. Never intrusive, but there when needed. Appetizers were excellent, escargot and crab meat cocktail. Though we chose halibut instead of steak, wise choice; cooked to perfection. There is an impressive wine list with wide range of prices. Chose a Bordeaux mid price range - excellent. Overall, it was a lovely evening in a very nice restaurant. Not too big to be noisy, but small enough to feel intimate.

Excellent steak, the flavor was rich and the cooking time was perfect! The service was personal and entertaining while elegantly done, Rudy was our waiter!

We celebrated a 43 year anniversary with friends. There staff were very attentive. The food was great. Side dishes are large enough for 2 to share. We used a Groupon and we enjoyed the evening.

My wife heard that Morton's Steakhouse was celebrating National Filet Mignon day by offering $1 small filet sandwiches. Why not go! Haven't been to Morton's in a while. Try this and maybe go back for full dinner sometime...that was the intent. When we got there the bar was jammed and no seats. Luckily, they opened up a small room for overflow...felt good at that point. Waiter finally came. 35 minutes later we had our cold, shriveled, crunched up bun (with mostly mayo sauce that was gross) filet mignon sandwich. Overcooked, cold, and had to wait a long time to get it. Frustrated I asked for the check...30% overcharged! They gladly redid my bill and off we went. Suffice it to say that we will not be returning to Morton's for that full steak dinner. Too many other options out there...Flemings, Ruth Chris and more. Morton's should stick to what they do best. Hopefully this was not it.

If you are a real carnivore, Morton's offers a 42 oz. porterhouse for two. I opted for the 6 oz. filet, which was cooked to perfection - rare + The escargot was quite tasty. The wine list is not extensive, but has a nice selection. Morton's is not inexpensive. My only complaint is the main course took too long to be served but was nothing that more wine didn't cure..

No doubt the steaks are really good, but they are not the best I've ever had. The service was good, but not really great. This is a good dining experience in that the steaks were cooked appropriately. Medium was medium etc. This was also aged beef. Was it the best -no- but it was priced like it.

3 of us went to Morton’s and they wouldn’t seat us until we took off our felt cowboy hats.It was 5:30 and the place was empty. We left and spent $500 on dinner at Joe’s Steakhouse which was packed ! Never again.

Very romantic dining and the staff is very friendly. We were served a five course meal in style with the best drinks imaginable. Try the bees knees. Very expensive so be prepared for that

My husband and I nearly fell over at the prices of this steak house! One 6 oz. filet mignon was $42. And that's all you got - A STEAK. No sides, no bread, nothing, just a hunk of meat. If you wanted a side, it was at least $13. ($13 for a baked potato is ridiculous!!!!!) I ordered a bottle water instead of 'tap' water. The waiter brought me a $9.50 bottle of mineral water. Will NEVER go to another Morton's The Steakhouse!!

I often visit Morton's in cities when available. I have been a landry's Select member and always appreciate how well I am treated. This is a lovely location with a great staff. Andrea was a super server and did everything to make my visit special. Very knowledgable and attentive. Jodie Gish, the GM who happens to be MORTON's GM OF THE YEAR was extremely helpful. She is also a Somm and helped me pick out a very lovely wine. All of the meal was very good. Everything was prepared how I requested. Salad excellent, Asparagus excellent, Steak very good, dessert and after dinner drink excellent. While the bone in ribeye was perfectly cooked and seasoned nicely, I found this particular steak to be tougher than most steaks I eat at other Morton's and other fine steakhouses. Perhaps it was this particular steak, but it surprised me as a first.

I'm really surprised this place doesn't have higher reviews. We have visited several high end steakhouses not only in San Antonio. This place is one of our top favorites. I have to say every single thing we ordered here was great. Everything from our cocktails to dessert was truly flavorful and delicious. This is a GREAT steakhouse! We visited this place with another couple for date night and it was great. I highly recommend it!

Just behind the Alamo restaurant. Pricy as most Mortons are but great food, steak was cooked perfectly. Nice wine options. Service excellent

Got great service and great food at Morton's. Sure beats the local steakhouses. Fabulous cocktails and great service.

I recently took 4 clients out to dinner here and to say I was disappointed, would be a HUGE understatement. I ordered the epic seafood tower, nothing was good. The quality of the filets were awful and honestly, I’ve had better food at Outback Steakhouse. Very disappointed. If I hadn’t been with clients, literally every item we ordered would have been sent back. Such a shame. Oh and for 6 people the bill hit $1075! Don’t waste your money here, there are far better options out there!

Great food and atmosphere and the wait staff and hostess were awesome - great food and service. Yummy Lemon drop too! Thanks for a great meal!

The food was very good. Our party enjoyed appetizers, meal, wine, and desserts. The service was even better than the food. Cant go wrong here.

Now don't get me wrong the food was very nice but for what we received it really was over priced. When we first entered the restaurant it was very impressive there are small lockers where, I assume, regular customers can keep their wine locked away. As you walk into the dining area there is a wall of wine bottles behind glass doors which does look very good. The lighting overall is too dark, instead of an intimate feel it feels like you are walking into a nightclub. The staff were very helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu, although our waitress was pretty forgetful on a couple of things. After sitting down I realized that I had sat on something that was on the chair, they could not do enough for me, which was really nice. We all ordered steak and everything had to go back to the kitchen as it was not cooked to how we all wanted it, it all came out initially pretty raw!! Now all of this is fine for me, however, this is what I assume would be 'fine' dining and I was pretty disgusted at the state of the restrooms. They were all black, obviously fitting the rest of the decor but they had not been dusted in a long time, some of the stainless steel accessories had rust spotting (showing that that had not been cleaned in a long time either). To me this would and was unacceptable. I will never go into one of these restaurants again. When you are paying quite a large amount for a meal I expect everything to be pristine!

We seldom get downtown but stopped on our way through to Houston We had the steak & seafood special $99 for 2 for a 3 course meal 2 people could have shared 1 meal Adam was a superb waiter

The best new york steak ever. Crab legs cost 18usd but they serve you less than an ounce. Cream corn tasted great

We decided to have dinner at this restaurant while visiting San Antonio. The dining room is clean, airy and nicely decorated. Pictures on the wall show places of interest around the city. We were warmly greeted and promptly shown to our table. As usual, cocktails were well made- fresh and well balanced. Their wine list is extensive. Bottles are priced mid to high range. For starters, we shared oysters and crab cakes. Oysters were flavorful and tender. Crab cakes were sweet with chunks of crab, minimal filler. The beets and goat cheese salad and warm spinach salad were very good- greens were fresh and dressings were just right. Not overpowering. Portions were big. We could have ordered just 2 salads and shared between 3 people. We all had the same entree. 10 ounce waghu. Sides were lobster mac and cheese and brussel sprouts. The waghu was flavorful, juicy and cooked as we requested. Mac and cheese was crusty on top, creamy with chunks of lobster. We saved room for dessert. Grand Marnier souffle and hot chocolate cake. Both were well worth the extra calories. It takes about 25 minutes to prepare these desserts. A good idea to order in advance. Service was excellent. Wait staff was polite and attentive. She made sure our waters were refilled. Dishes were cleared on time and she checked on us regularly to make sure we were ok. A wonderful and relaxing dinner. They have valet parking. Our car was out front and ready when we stepped outside. Morton's is always consistent- service and food are the best.

Luxury dining and service experience. Yes, the food is expensive, but the service and quality make up for it. All patrons of the establishment are treated like steaks are cooked to perfection.

Typical wonderful Morton’s experience. Great service, great food. Steaks are excellent and cooked to perfection. Cosy interior. Clean

What a pleasure to eat at Mortons! The restaurant was subtly decorated with a choice of booths or tables. We chose a booth with a view of the very clever executive chef preparing the meals. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Our meal was exactly as described and cooked to perfection. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would not hesitate to recommend.

There were 6 of us to celebrate graduation/BD. The service was extremely slow (should never have an empty beverage glass in a fine dining establishment), the raw oysters were very small and disappointing, the baked potatoes (3) were scorched and a 6oz filet mignon was overcooked when requested medium rare. This is marketed as a fine dining experience and it was not the case! We spent $485 (before tip) and neither the meal, service or overall experience was worth the price. We won't be back.

Made a reservation and noted we were celebrating a birthday. They worked really hard to make it special. We had a great table, were wished a happy birthday, given a complimentary desert, and had great service. Pace is a bit slow, but that is to be expected in a higher end steakhouse restaurant. Food was excellent and we would be happy to return in the future! Would be nice to turn up the lights just a little bit.

As the review title says we had impeccable service. Every employee we had contact with was friendly and professional. A special shout out needs to go out to our server Jodie, she was awesome!! The escargot was amazing, the wife's lobster tail and filet were cooked to perfection, and my ribeye was to die for. My daughter asked if we could eat there every day. We can't wait to come back!

My wife and I were fortunate enough to visit Morton's during San Antonio's restaurant week. Though we had reservations, there was seating available at a high top in the bar, so we decided to sit there instead. The reason I rated the experience a four rather than a five likely was influenced by the decision to sit in the bar. The waiter / bartender tried to keep up with everything that was going on, but he may have been overwhelmed. I asked if I could change my drink order, which he said I could, yet I was delivered what I originally ordered. I didn't send it back assuming part of the blame as I changed my mind. My wife asked for her asparagus to be steamed without any oil or butter, yet when served, it clearly had some oil or butter. Additionally her filet mignon, which was ordered medium came out rare (bordering less than rare). For a steakhouse, I don't know how they could have been so off. My meal was perfectly cooked and served. Absolutely no complaints. The setting was very classy and of the standards you'd expect from Morton's.

Went for a Saturday evening dinner with friends. Got to taste many dishes and steaks and drinks. Reservations were easy. Location is great. They offer valet parking. Restaurant had decent crowd, but was not full. Drinks were delicious and varied, but took an inordinate amount of time to be delivered. 10minutes+ which I think is too long. Caesar salad was good and they split it between two of us, which is nice. Fresh bread came out piping hot and is fantastic. Crab cake great, although could have been warmer. French onion soup was delicious, but was only warm. In hindsight, we should have sent it back. Wagyu steaks delicious, but two were undercooked. Easy to send back for more though, but still. Onion rings came out fresh and were awesome. Potatoes au gratin were tasty, but were only slightly warm. We did complain and they sent us new ones that were hot. Better when hot, but I would give them a 7 out of 10 on taste. Wagyu ravioli (sold as beef stroganoff) were fantastic flavor. Came out warm and we should have sent them back. Two of us ordered this and they both came out just warm. Other round of drinks also took a while to be delivered. We were celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary. It was nice that they had a card recognizing our anniversary on the table when were seated. However, the server never recognized us and we did not get a celebratory dessert from Morton's. I found this very unacceptable for a place like this, especially when it was clear it was on the reservation. The last thing is the valet parking. Parking is difficult here, so valeting it is the way to go. However, I think a deep four-digit-cost meal should be afforded complimentary parking, not an extra charge. It is a disincentive to come. So based on cost and expectations, I rate a 3 out of 5. I would come back to check out the bar and bar food. But not sure I would try the restaurant again for a nice dinner. Bohanan's is a step above for similar prices. Next to try - Ruth's Chris a block away. The Palm is also nice, but I prefer the ambiance at Bohanan's.

Morton's will not disappoint you. Super seafood and a tuna as starter unbelievable. Everything perfect. Excellent presentation of dishes.

We had a large group and they were able to accommodate us nicely. The steaks and seafood were excellent!

Morton’s is great where ever it’s located. This one had pleasant atmosphere and excellent wait staff. Very convenient to all of downtown attractions

Fabulous service and attention to detail. All the food was better than perfect. So good I have booked Morton's in Manhattan for next month already !

Morton's is an excellent choice for a good steak in San Antonio. The service was amazing and the food was prepared perfectly. Just what you would expect from Morton's in any location.

My husband and I were at Morton's Tuesday evening on the recommendation of a local hotel and there were few customers. 15 minutes after we were seated and ordered from the menu, four men were seated in front of us from our booth. They ordered their drinks, salad and entrees. When these four men were almost done eating their entrees, we were told by the manger (not our waiter) that our meals would be coming out in 8 to 10 minutes which was actually 20 minutes. I had ordered fish and my husband ordered steak. When I asked our waiter what took so long for the bread and particularly our meals there was no apology for the lack of attention or care. If you are considering going there with your sweetheart, don't do it or eat somewhere else first.

My husband & I were going to see a show at the Majestic and the same day found we had enough babysitter coverage to go to dinner ahead of time. Being last minute, our options were limited, but our experience at Morton's was amazing. Jean-Luc was a wonderful server who recommended a delicious bottle of wine while respecting our budget window. He paced the meal well, when we told him about our timing to see the show and had us done without feeling rushed right around the time we requested when sitting down. He truly made our experience. We shared a large steak, the gouda potatoes, asparagus after starting with salads (which we absolutely should have shared) and poke shrimp appetizer. It was an absolute excess of food that we couldn't finish, but everything tasted amazing. The flower petals and celebration of us for what is often to others as a simple date night, but was the nicest adult outing out we have had since our kiddos were born, and thank you so much for making our date night wonderful.

I have been to Mortons in several other cities, to include New York, D.C. and Tampa. I chose Mortons in San Antonio with the hopes that because it is a chain it would be consistent. This location doesn't come close to other cities as far as food quality, taste and restaurant ambiance. Our waitress was good, but I noticed the other staff running around frantically and 2 servers dropped and broke dishes at separate points of the night. My boyfriend's escargot was overcooked and tasteless. My onion soup had way too much garlic, and I am the kind of person who puts garlic on everything. The lyonnaise potatoes were burnt and the portion was tiny for 13 dollars. There was literally 3 small chunks of bacon in it. My steak was sent back twice due to improper temperature and doneness. And the quality of the steak was absolutely not worth 58 dollars. The dessert was pretty good (molten chocolate cake) but overall this place is not worth the cost on any level. If you are going to drop big bucks on a meal and expect a certain level of atmosphere, service and quality in San Antonio, I would recommend Perry's over this place anyday. This particular location of Morton ' s doesn't even come close to other locations.

13 people for dinner. Excellent service by our two servers. Gave us a great recommendation for wine that was being offered at a discount that night. They do now to make a steak as well as the various side dishes and appetizers.

Come Hungry! The red meats...there were 3 different orders at our table...are all delicious. We split the wedge salad two ways - which gives you a very ample salad and was rich by itself. I had the Cajun ribeye which was every delicious and medium rare plus was perfect for me. My wife's lamb was very tasty as well and the mint (jelly?) was absolutely delicious. The whole evening from service, ambiance, bread, salad, and entrée were fantastic. the only reason I didn't go 5 stars is that at some point you have to feel silly for spending this much on an entrée. However, we all do it.

Here for a meeting and looking to escape our terrible room at the Menger. Everyone was so nice here. Steaks were awesome and Chilean Bass was great! Good wine list. This evening at Morton's downtown helped soften the blow of our pitiful room next door.

My wife and I had recently visited this restaurant and we were extremely happy with the food, service, and the interior décor. This is a great place to enjoy a quality meal with outstanding service. we plan on going back very soon.

I was in San Antonio for a medical meeting and asked to a friend who attends meetings there every year which was the best restaurant in the convention center/Riverwalk area. I ordered a lobster tail with mashed potatoes and a glass of wine. Both were amazing. Expect to pay around $100 to eat there.

My son, and several friends dined at this restaurant on New Years Eve, December 2018. Food was wonderful and service was awesome. I suggest reservations as the restaurant was somewhat crowded due to the night we visited. The group had a variety of steaks and seafood and it was all cooked to perfection. Our waiter was incredible. Even with the place being very busy we never got the feeling that he nor anybody else was trying to push us through. We had a very relaxing and pleasant experience. The place is not inexpensive but we knew that going in so it was a zero issue. We will certainly be back !!

Beautiful place and great service but food quality when you want this type of experience needs to be perfect and my wife’s plate was far away from it.

My husband and I had dinner here on a Saturday night. We were warmly welcomed at reception, seated promptly, and had a magnificent server named Nicole. We ordered off the Restaurant Week menu but there was not a hint of the cold shoulder treatment I have gotten at other nice restaurants. The filet was perfectly cooked and delicious, as was my husband's Chicken Christopher. The mac & cheese was to die for, and the creamed spinach excellent as well. Desserts were outstanding. I can't help but wonder if some of the comments I read on restaurant sites just reflect that much of the population is angry right now.

The outstanding aspect of our visit here was the service. The young lady was exceptional. She tailored her style to ours and was very helpful. She had a very good knowledge of the menu and she also knew a lot about the Morton"s chain as well. The food, as at every Morton"s , we've been to was well prepared and well served. We finished off with the Molten Lava cake and were not disappointed, a must for chocolate lovers. This restaurant is large and we had a reservation. I suspect during conventions and special events this place is impossible to get into without a reservation. It is right next to the Alamo and is easy walking distance from most of the large hotels. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier knows his stuff. They are very willing to help make a selection.

Morton's is one of about a half dozen high end steak houses that present pretty much the same format. Steaks and cocktails are amazing but so are the prices. Service is typically great and both servers and managers actively interact with patrons. Morton's is a member of the Landry's chain of restaurants and with the prices you can earn a lot of points.

We always enjoy Morton’s so we made reservations for dinner while we were in San Antonio. As usual, the steaks were excellent and even though the place as a mad house we received as good a service as possible under the circumstances. You might want to check to see how many conventions are in town before you go, they told us there were about 5 different conventions in town. By 6:00 the place was packed and there were a number of large tables which made the restaurant very noisy. Even the manager was doing a little bit of everything, I truly have never seen anything like it. If anyone was looking for a quiet romantic evening they were out of luck.

We love a good quality steak so decided to grab a taxi and head to Morton’s. No problem whatsoever in getting a table midweek. In fact, apart from us, there were two other tables occupied. It was around 8pm. This obviously affects the ambience, as the wait staff are meandering around and keep coming by the table to check all is ok....yes, it’s fine thank you, now let me eat my dinner in peace! The steaks were good and cooked as we asked them. We ordered one side of potato gratin and this was piping hot and fresh. The red wine we had was good quality. Overall, it was a good food experience just not a good dining experience as the place was empty. Would visit again for the food but probably only on a Friday or Saturday evening. Made sure I stocked up on Morton’s mints as I left... :-)

We came here for a birthday celebration and my MIL had tears when they recognized her at check in and had printed menus saying happy birthday! Our waiter was attentive and all went well until we had ordered food. I was the only one who chose the restaurant week menu, others ordered their meals including lots of sides to share. After the appetizers, we were continuously interrupted with servers trying to deliver food that wasn’t ours, when ours actually came it was mostly all wrong, sides didn’t come out for a while, they completely messed up my husbands order and then brought part of the food out but missing some items...then I never received my dessert from restaurant week menu and our waiter kind of just diss appeared and at that point, we were over it. Started strong, declined fast, wasn’t a memorable experience after all. And the managers were aware of all of this as it was happening. So limited if any attempt to smooth over.

If you want to dine here, I think it’s important tou make your reservation ahead. I made it using Tripadvisor. That been said... This is an amazing steakrestaurant! Granted, it’s not cheap! But the meat is first grade. If you’re a meat lover, and you find yourself in San Antonio, make a reservation, bring your creditcard and dine here. You won’t regret it. I promise.

Compliment to the great food and service at Morton's on Crockett St!! My company had our sales meeting dinner at Morton's and what a choice! Usually when you have 50+ people for a dinner, the service & food tend to be "ok". Definitely not the case here. Food/drinks were exceptional, and the service was great. Very attentive and friendly all night, even with such a big group. Thanks again Morton's for a wonderful experience. A few employees I would like to acknowledge. Manager-Alana Taggart. Servers-Brett, Dorian, Mike & Cathy. Sorry, I know there are some I missed, everyone was great!!

I dined at Morton's on Labor day weekend and took advantage of their specials for Landry's club members. The food and service were spot on! Steaks cooked exactly as we wanted and the sides and deserts were wonderful! What made this visit extra special was because we belong to the Landry's club, we received a email about Labor Day specials. If you are not a member of the loyalty club, you need to join! We were able to get 2 filets, 2 sides, salad, desert and a bottle of wine for $100. I will be returning!!

How could you not love this place? Food, service, atmosphere all outstanding. We look our two daughters 12 and 13 and even they were impressed. We ordered three entrees, Caesar salad and mashed potatoes plus dessert. All excellent. We had the filet cooked perfectly. Salmon was a great value very tender and cooked perfectly. The lobster was a little dry but very tasty. The cheese cake probably the best I have ever had. Our server, Gabe I believe was his name, was superb.

Went there with family for grandson Air Force graduation. The food was great the service was perfect. I definitely recommend this place.

Morton' is pricey, but a great place to take visitors or to celebrate special occasions. Al items are al a cart.. Excellent steaks and sea food dishes can run up $50/person. Side dishes are $10-$20 each, but most are large enough to share. Excellent deserts. They have a large selection of wines and an excellent bar. There is valet parking which can be very handy during special occasions down town or tourist season.

Morton's The Steakhouse in San Antonio is a great place to go for quality steaks and sides. I really like the location and atmosphere that they have created here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need for the best meal.

This is a very classy restaurant that you would either want to take a business guest or your significant other to impress. It is expensive but I had one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The sea scallops were to die for, and I've been craving them since. Our waiter was extremely professional and knew the menu well. I couldn't say enough good things about this place to do it justice. Great place!!

Went on our anniversary while visiting San Antonio. They had a Labor Day special consisting of a 3 course meal for two with a bottle of wine for $99. My pork chop was perfect and my wife had the fillet mignon which she also loved.

The good: Scallops, Onion Soup, bread, Chocolate mousse The bad: “Mortons Salad” (it’s just lettuce with bland dressing. Had to add salt to give it flavor!) Asparagus was over cooked and was mushy. Hot chocolate cake was rubbery. Table by the kitchen, high traffic area. Had Reservations for over two weeks and restaurant was half empty and they put us at a crappy table. Our reservation was at 6:30 and we didn’t get out of there until almost 10:00 because of the horribly slow service. The Ugly: Service was horrendous. No refills, had to keep asking for more water, soda, drinks, bread, etc. Waiter did his entire menu speech and never said anything about “restaurant week” until we asked and then he said “oh, I didn’t realize you were locals. We get a lot of tourists and convention people and we don’t offer the restaurant week menu unless someone asks for it”. In other words, they are sticking it to the tourists. Not cool. Steak was way over cooked and they “forgot” to add the Oscar topping we had requested so it had to be sent back and recooked. Chicken Christopher is fried chicken on a very bland cream sauce. Not what was described by waiter. The decor is SO OUTDATED. Feels like a really bad ‘80’s nightmare. Everything is dark and heavy. It’s like a cruise ship from hell. Valet was really slow as they also do valet for anyone visiting RiverCenter Mall, not just Morton’s as the signs would suggest. Be prepare ared to wait to drop off your car. And the restaurant does not validate, so even though our bill ending up being right at $400 For 4 people, we still had to pay for parking. Skip this place. There are more modern upscale steak restaurants near the river walk that have better service and better food and comp your valet parking.

We loved our dinner at Morton’s. It was our fancy dinner out for our honeymoon and they worked hard to make it special for us. The Brussel sprouts were great & the Cadillac Margarita is divine.

Food was delicious everything we had tasted great. Overpriced had steak did get dessert, shared

Sat in the bar and ordered dinner. The service was good from our bartender, but the food in general, was far below what I would consider par for Morton's. The Shrimp Cocktail was sent back. The shrimp were severely overcooked and had the texture of chalk. They were also not chilled. The lobster Mac and Cheese was also very disappointing. The sauce on the Mac and Cheese was runny and puddled at the bottom of the dish. Very disappointing.

Very expensive (in my opinion), like Vegas expensive! With that being sad you get what you pay for, lived up to the hype. Service was phenomenal, and fast. Everyone’s steak was cooked exactly as requested and the cuts were amazing. Worth the visit in my opinion, just know it’s a little on the pricey side.

Treated family members to an evening out after I finished a day of business meetings. Having made reservations earlier in the day, we arrived about 15 minutes earlier than anticipated but was promptly greeted and seated! We started with two appetizers, the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and the Grilled Oysters, both were amazing! While the ladies had salads as their entre (which were both great), my son ordered the Lamb Chops which he stated were probably the best he'd had. I ordered the Basalmic Glazed Grilled Salmon, it was perfect! Our sides was the potatoes augratin and the braised brussel sprouts, both delicious! For dessert, by wife and I shared the carrot cake while my son and his wife shared the white chocolate bread pudding. Both were awesome! The manager came by our table during our meal to make sure everything was satisfactory (all was way more than satisfactory) and our server Alexandria took great care of us! Looking forward to a return visit!

Visited on a special occasion. Morton’s food and staff were excellent. The sommelier was great fun and really added to the atmosphere. Food was the Morton’s standard and Steven our server was a pro. Will visit again.

Morton's can be found in a number of major cities and offers a consistently high quality selection of steaks (beef, veal, lamb), mostly of very large size and accompanied with equally large side dishes that are intended to be shared. Service is usually good, prompt and polite. The wine list is excellent and Morton's usually has trained sommeliers on site.

Had the Filet Mignon and my mouth starts to water thinking about it. Absolutely delicious. The best I have ever had! Salads are very large so think about sharing them.

Great steaks, service and atmosphere. Mortons is pricey but I've never left unsatisfied. Join the Landry's select club too. Its well worth it. Had the Chicago cut done in a rare "plus".... too rare. But that was my mistake.

When you are spending better than $100 per meal at a high end steakhouse, you expect to be able to carry on a conversation with others at the table. This is certainly not the case at this restaurant. The ambient noise level here is objectionably high, raucous, in fact. The steaks are great, however.

Walked here one night from our hotel next door (The Menger) because all of the riverwalk steakhouses were booked all night. What a pleasant surprise! My fiancé got the 16 oz steak and ate every bite!!

Steak was excellent and definitely expensive. It was well cooked. Service was exceptional. Side servings are large and were too much for one person. So be mindful when ordering that you may have leftovers. Baked corn souffle left a lot to be desired. It needed seasoning and was a lot more liquid than I personally prefer.

The food was delicious. We had a reservation for 7Pm we weren't seated until 7:20. That was fine, we went to the bar and had a cocktail which was delicious. When we were seated our waiter MYCHAEL was less than attentive. We felt rushed when ordering and when we asked about a dish his response was underwhelming. He basically threw our salad and soup on the table and ran off. We had to request bread which didn't arrive for 20 minutes. We finally were served our entree at about 8:15. My husbands steak was overcooked but we had been waiting so long that we didn't mention it. The food in general was very good. The dessert was delicious. We had to wait for 15 minutes for our check. We were never asked if we wanted anything else like coffee or an after dinner drink. This was our first bad experience at Morton's. I think that we'll go back but I'm not sure when that will be. I just felt compelled to write this review to my dismay.

Had dinner in the bar area with good service. I had Rack of Lamb and have to remember that the bone changes cooking temperature. I normally like medium rare lamb but this time it was raw and hard to eat. Dessert and drinks were good. Not great atmosphere as it is in a large mall.

Outstanding experience. Service was impeccable and food was wonderful. We split the 16oz prime ribeye, au gratin potatoes, and creamed spinach. The Hot chocolate molten cake with ice cream was to die for!

We dined here with another couple while traveling. We enjoy the Morton’s in our hometown however this was not up to par. 3 out of 4 filets were served rare. 2 were sent back and returned still purple. For the price, go somewhere else.

We went early and had the place to ourselves for awhile. It filled up around 7:30. We were two couples. Each of us had something different and loved it all. It was prepared perfectly.

We ended up here because everything else closed at 9pm, although I have eaten at Morton's many times, this locations service was A+. We were celebrating 2 bdays and they went above and beyond to cater to the experience

We wanted to dress up and go somewhere fancy for our birthday; and I wanted a steak. We had already scoped out the menu after leaving the mall. My heart was set on that steak. It was my birthday so I wanted to go all the way. What a disappointment; I ordered the mixed grill and a side dish. They brought my meat dish and I never got my side dish. After waiting several mins I asked the waiter who said it would be right out. I knew he was lying after 5 mins when it still wasn't there. Instead of saying I forgot why lie? I still believe it was a good night.

I wanted to treat my son to a good steak after graduating from Airforce basic.. .ordered oysters as an appetizer... very disappointing.. no meat at all and the quality was not what I expected from a fine dining restaurant.. I had ordered crab cakes and my son a 6oz. Filet mignon with a side of mushroom and spinach.. the meal itself was good.. but I would not come back to Morton's or reccomend .

People think that Morton's is extremely expensive and very snobby. and Yes, people could not be wrong... although, devil is in the details... So, our quick dinner on regular Tuesday night was not expensive even though, we had a few specialty cocktails and very nice dinner (appetizers and main course)... You must try their deserts! We did not make to Morton's Wine list, but it looked very impressive. Both selection and pricing diversity. Bad for us! lol :) Design of the restaurant is little purple-ish darker, nevertheless, very appropriate for hot and sunny area of San Antonio as you would want to hide from sunlight. The most important component of their success is their people. Morton's waiter - Alexis (he/him) was very knowledgeable and their manager - Alana (she/her) was super accommodating to our preferences in every nuance. P.S. Enjoy Morton's Happy Hour options if you dont want to go brake your bank. Thank you for finishing reading this quick review. Please "like" it for us to continue with our summary(s) of new. We really appreciate it!

Pricey, but a wonderful meal. Service excellent. They care about their customers. Nice ambiance.. Fairly quiet (except for a loud gathering in a private room)

I like to visit the renovated Morton's Bar. One of the best in town. My friend Roger is really a professional taking care of all costumers, so we feel like home. The Burgers and in general the food is very good with premium ingredients. Nice atmosphere. Morton's San Antonio Riverwalk is a must.

It was the worst steak I have ever received at a restaurant and one of the most expensive! Could not chew it and was so disappointed! I don’t mind paying the price if it would had been good! Had a great taste but could not chew it at all! Had to chew and then put in napkin! Had so much fat and gristle in it! Honestly had lot tender steak at a low end restaurant! Was with a group so tried to not make a scene so I called restaurant when I left! Felt like they didn’t really care just went through process of taken complaint. I wanted to cry at how much I spend and couldn’t even chew it! Brought it back with me and my dog enjoyed a $60 steak! Don’t go!!

Horrible service...was visiting for my birthday and decided to have dinner at Morton's. Worst service I have ever received. Staff gathered and stood to discuss rearranging the dinning room (loudly) right beside our table. Their was only 2 tables occupied and we could not even get our waiter to refill our drinks. Jeff Ruby's in Cincinnati Ohio needs to Train their staff!!!

We went early because if you wait there is a line for Dinner. We ordered Ribeye Steaks and had french fries. Steak was cooked to perfection. Service was great!

One thing you can always trust at Morton's is the consistent quality. Both the food and Service are always outstanding throughout the country. However I can say the Veal Chop I had here was the finest piece of Veal I have ever eaten! It just melted in my mouth and was fork tender. Thanks so much for setting a New bar to achieve!

We visited on Thanksgiving, so of course, we ordered turkey instead of the usual steaks. Service was top notch. We had the four course meal and everything arrived perfectly timed. Bread was outstanding. Main course was great. Desserts were a little skimpy in size after such a meal, but we were stuffed anyway.

My husband and I went for dinner. I was so excited! In all honesty, I won’t go back. The bread the waiter brought out was burned. When I kindly pointed it out, he didn’t offer more. The French onion soup was disappointing and the steak was just ok. They overcooked it a bit. $230 dollars for a dinner that was a miss and for a server who didn’t care to deliver a home run.

While staying at the Menger, we had a change of plans for dinner on Christmas Eve. The planned restaurant had outside dining only and the weather turned chilly. I called Morton's, which is next door to the Menger. I talked with Gabriel, the asst GM, who was extremely cordial and got us a table for Christmas Eve. Upon arrival, Gabriel remembered talking with me and was very welcoming; he dropped by our table a few times to check on us. Our waiter, Andrew, was EXCELLENT. Our dinner was excellent. The atmosphere and ambiance was very nice. We were very impressed with this Morton's and will now add it to our list of favorite steakhouses.

2 seems low but 3 seems too high. Heather was a great waitress and we loved the custom menu, picture, and free dessert but that's where it ended. Good: Delicious appetizer Great spinach salad Free dessert mentioned above Bad: Place was large but typically they stack all guests on top of each other vs spreading them out. Music was too loud. Wife's steak was the size and shape of a fig, it was good but not great. My steak was worse I've ever eaten more less paid for. It was so over seasoned I had to scrape it with a knife, spoon, then move it to another plate. Manager was concerned and waitress offered to get me a new steak. Even gave us a free glass of wine as a gesture for bad steak. Had real high expectations and unfortunately didn't live up to the hype.

We had been out all day on the Riverwalk and wanted a nice steak dinner. It was 103 degrees outside, so my husband and I had on sleeveless shirts. The host told us we could sit in the bar area, but not the dining area because men had to have sleeved shirts. So we and our money are good enough for the bar area, but not the dining area. We left and will never eat at a Morton's again.

We used to love Morton’s but today’s experience was disappointed. The waitress had a very mediocre treat, we went specifically for the Porter house steak and she told us since two weeks ago was not part of the menu anymore, we asked for a bone in rib eye, she brought a regular one, we told her she made a mistake and she just said “I’m sorry” and went, the meat was not medium rare as we asked, was medium. Part of the tuna we asked was still frozen!!And when we want to pay using part of our rewards with our members card Landry’s Select, she told us we didn’t have any (and we are looking in the web portal and yes we have) and some other details who made our experience very disappointed. We are not used to his in what it was our favorite restaurant

I ate here twice as it was across the street from my hotel. Great food and service. However a bit pricey.

The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Food was amazing. Huge portions but then as the waiter told us "this is Texas" The chocolate layer cake is ginormous and the key lime pie was the best from our Texas road trip.

My husband made a reservation for Valentines, I had the filet and lobster tail, both were absolutely delicious and very well prepared.

Morton's offers excellent service and the best steak choices. Porterhouse 24 or 48 ounces depending how many people are in your party or how hungry you are and cooked to your perfection.

Excellent service, excellent food and great desserts to top it off. Can't go to Mortons without having the filet mignon, great steak, tender, easy to cut.

We were in SA for the weekend and my husband was craving a steak so as expected we chose Morton's. We live by the one in The Woodlands and have never been disappointed. Tonight though.... hmmmm..... they were busy and by the looks of it short staffed. It is restaurant week and I wanted to order from the special menu which I had to ask for. I am gluten free and they would not give any substitutions. I just wanted to change the potato for creamed spinach both of which are on the restaurant week menu. Did not understand this!!! My husband got the Cajun rib eye which he has ordered before at home. It was cooked rare plus but still cold and the fat was not even close to being rendered. My husband is too nice to send anything back and he ate it but it was not as pleasant as he normally has had. I ordered the double pork chops cooked medium and they were dry dry dry. By this time I just pushed my potatoes to the side and just ate the creamed spinach I had to order separately. I am sure it was just an off night. We will be going back to our local Morton's in The Woodlands

Our server,Michael, was wonderful: informative, friendly yet professional and certainly took care of us. We shared an appetizer of scallops wrapped with bacon. The very large scallops were moist, cooked well and the bacon crispy. For dinner my husband had surf and turf. I had 8 oz. Fillet mignon. Everything was cooked perfectly. For sides: creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. All excellent. For dessert we shared a slice of key lime pie. Light. Very tasty. A great meal from start to finish.

My husband and I visited last night during a quick overnight in San Antonio! We are steak lovers and Morton’s was nearby our hotel! We made a reservation, were seated right away when we arrived, and we had a super sweet waitress! We each had a glass of Bordeaux, the bread was delicious! I had the 6oz filet topped with the black truffle butter and my husband had the cajun ribeye, and we split the Parmesan fries. The meal was excellent, the steaks were cooked perfectly! The truffle butter was out of this world delicious! We finished off with Irish coffee and creme brûlée! It was all together a flawless experience!

Although the place felt a little dark and like a quiet night club the food and service here was fabulous. Very efficient staff that anticipated every need. The steak and sides were delicious and cooked to perfection. The cheesecake was heaven. I’m glad we didn’t have starters as the portions were big and you get a lovely warm loaf. The restaurant is quite expensive and has a large selection of very special but pricey wines.

We started a tradition when our twins were 3 years old and our son 7 years old. This was our 16th year and well since the last time when the original ownership would have display the meats and seafood before we ordered everything has become more just like saltgrass steakhouse. It is just not the same anymore. Our kids don't like it anymore, and I don't feel the quality, the exclusive feeling when going to a "very high priced" place. Every year I always get a chocolate martini and this year they did not have it. They tried to make it (twice) and even the waitress said she was sorry and that the bartender did not carry the items to make it anymore. The manager did not come to apologize or at least express his concern. We understand business but somethings you just don't change. This last time was unfortunately or last time. We had lunch a few weeks ago at a place called Perry's Steakhouse and Grill. The way the waiter presented the food, the style he presented the feeling of being treated like no one else was in the room was and still stays with us. That did not happen at Morton's in San Antonio and has not happen for the last 4 plus years. We paid close to $400 for an experience that we could have easily gotten at Saltgrass Steakhouse. We will no longer go anymore and this saddens me but traditions are suppose to be memorable not like last night where we just (all of us) were not happy. We will probably go to Perry's Steakhouse and Grill at La Cantera from now on. I call over a month or more ago to make the reservation and did tell them we would like to sit at the table we always did and was told we would but when we arrived we were told. "We are sorry but your table is not available but we have another" which I told her that was no acceptable and went into detail how he did plan this ahead, they did make it right but this is another example of Saltgrass experience instead of an experience that we got at Perry's Steakhouse. I am not saying not go but this is my experience after 16 years.

We went to Morton’s for our anniversary and they treated us like royalty. Our menu was personalized, rose pedals on table. They took our photo (with our permission) and used to make a momento for us to take home. The food was excellent, atmosphere perfect. Our server was Vinnie and he was excellent. The manager Jodie was awesome. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful evening we had and would recommend Morton’s 100%.

The atmosphere was very good. The accommodations were very good. The service was friendly and very informative. The food was very good.

Had high hopes for a nice dinner at Morton's & was extremely disappointed! This was my third experience at this location & most likely my last. Our party of four arrived a touch early, enjoyed a drink in the bar area (service is the bar was great). From the moment we sat down at our table - we felt rushed...not normal at Morton's. Started with a shrimp cocktail, the shrimp did not taste fresh...had trouble finishing. Our guests ordered 2 lobster bisques, while our guests were still eating their soups - the wait staff brought our food...what in the world!!! Our guests didn't have time/room to keep/finish their soups! Our party ordered two ribeyes, 1 filet, 1 grilled salmon. The steaks were just ok, not great - not normal for Morton's. The grilled salmon was TERRIBLE, I ate maybe 3 bites, terrible flavor, terrible sweet glaze served over a bed of beans/corn. We also ordered creamed spinach & au gratin potatoes, the sides were good. We had to ask for more water & refills on our drinks, our server did not notice when we were running low! The best part of dinner was the dessert, the hot chocolate cake (the only reason I didn't give them a terrible rating). When you're paying over $500 for dinner, you expect GOOD food and GOOD service; our experience was lacking in both. I would not recommend this Morton's.

When you want a steak....not just a steak, but a legendary steak, go to Morton’s. The oysters and scallops for appetizers were perfect. All three of our filet mignon steaks were superb. I had mine with lobster and topped with hollandaise sauce. Our three family sides were Brussel spouts, creamed corn and cheddar mashed potatoes. As if that wasn’t enough we finished off dinner with berries and fresh cream, a molten chocolate lava cake, a cappuccino and an Italian coffee. I started my evening with a dirty Bombay martini and had an excellent Pinot noir with my steak. Simply fabulous. Our server was Meghan and she was sublime. Gracious, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make a belated Christmas dinner for my Sailor simply amazing. It is pricey, but when you expect the best, and get the best, you don’t complain. I highly recommend Morton’s to parents who are in town and want to take their active duty military child out for a very special meal. As my son said “We sure as sh** don’t get this at the chow hall.”

I got lucky and was visiting San Antonio during restaurant week. I took my sister and nephews to Morton's and it was excellent. They accidentally cooked my filet very well instead of medium and they just brought an entire new meal within 5 minutes and left the well done steak for the boys to eat. The wait for food was a little long from sit-down to table, but thoroughly enjoyed and would return because of excellent service.

After our segway tour we wanted to eat at Morton’s bc we love the Mac and cheese. Adding steak and wine is always a must. We had planned our visit at breakfast and were looking forward to our meal all day. We were seated at 8:55. The water was delivered to our table. We waited until 9:25 before we got up and left. Kitchen closes at 10. Dinner would now be a rushed food service and extremely late! Stopping by the hostess to tell her we were ignored, Letting her know we didn’t get a drink order or menu turned out to be awkward as they said we could stay and the would give us an appetizer (ah, kitchen closes at 10). Very very disappointing. Definitely not a good end to our day. Our visit to Illinois Morton’s was excellent and a very different experience than San Antonio Morton’s. #badservice #wasntbusy #youcandobetter

The food was ok but I've had better steak for half the price at outback. Way too pricey for what I received. Not my cup of tea.

Our dinner at Morton's hit two new notes. It was the most disappointing dining experience we've ever had and it was the most expensive....well over $300 for two. The waiter was obsequious to a almost comical level. He seemed only interested in driving the price of the check up. We knew it was going to be expensive, but we thought it was going to be a terrific meal, but it sure missed the mark. The steaks were cooked perfectly, but the meat was below par and just wasn't very tasty. The drinks were okay but way over-priced. I guess this is what happens when a restaurant conglomerate buys a well-known restaurant chain out. We won't be going back to any of the Morton's. It's a shame, as we used to enjoy them so much, but they seem to be gone forever.

We came for my youngest son's 18th birthday meal. The food was amazing and the service was top notch.

We arrived promptly for our 7 pm reservations. We were celebrating our adult daughter’s birthday. We were seated quickly. The wait staff was courteous and informative. However, our food order went in at 7:30 and served at 9 pm. Very frustrating. This was not the fault of the waitstaff. We were told the kitchen was overwhelmed due to a very large private party in their private room. This is the manager fault for not having sufficient staff. If you have limited staff, common sense dictates reducing your availability that day. I live in SA and have dined here before. Most likely will never return here. When I go to a high end dining establishment, the expectations are much higher. BTW, the waitstaff was apologetic. Never heard a word from the manager.

My husband and are frequent visitors to Morton's Steakhouse in San Antonio. We went there for Christmas dinner, which we do every year, and found this year’s visit to be 'okay'. The food was good, however, the service seemed less than on point in many ways. We were seated in a booth and when the table was pulled out for us to sit the floor underneath the table was covered with crumbs from previous guests. My husband ordered a chocolate martini and was told that is no long an option at Morton's. A chocolate martini is a staple at almost every bar these days so it was a surprise. We had to ask for the warm onion bread and we were told by our waitress that they are only providing to those that ask for it since they may not have enough for the night. It's Christmas Day - you shouldn't be short on anything. We also had to ask for the candle to be lit at our table. Although not a big deal, it's the fine attention to details that has had us coming back for many years. Overall, the service to our table was slow and our waitress was less then ‘bubbly’ but we did leave her a 20% tip in hopes of cheering her up. 3 years ago we held our wedding reception here when Morton's was great! After this most recent experience I’m sad to say we've had better service elsewhere.

We had the pleasure of dining with Morton’s in so many different locations and it has always been perfect. This location in San Antonio was disappointing. Nothing was as good as it could have been, and I’m not only talking about small differences in the dishes (like the gratin or even the asparagus) but a more significant issue: The service was rude and unprofessional. They charged us for the wrong bottle of wine, and then claim that it was our fault - which it was definitely not.

Our family arrives and are seated. My wife notices two dishes on the table are greasy... they replace them. Then we notice most of the glasses have finger prints all over them, this is getting gross. I should have left but I'm trying to impress them with a good steak. My rib eye comes out, tastes great...yea! But, my sons filet mignon comes out, barely warm and is like rubber...WTF. My wife's salmon was good and my daughters filet was average, she didn't enjoy it. Management did not once come out even once to ask how our food was nor did they offer any regress. $350 down the drain. I couldn't complain because we were trying to celebrate my sons graduation from USAF Basic Training. Thoroughly disappointed and embarrassed

This restaurant is near both the Menger and Crockett Hotels. Compared to other restaurants, the portions are small and the prices high. The food was tasty and the service prompt.

We returned to Morton's for a birthday celebration. The service and food were excellent. The service especially had many personal touches. The wine list is sufficient and there is no pressure or up-sell on the wine. We also had our 8 year old son who could easily find something good on he menu.

1st Anniversary dinner and celebration. First time visitors. Service was suberb!!! Great customer service. Drinks were a perk. Steaks were good.

We had their special Wague beef steak. It was the best we have ever eaten. We also ate a fabulous lemon soufflé. Outstanding!

Have visited Morton's in other cities, this was the first time in San Antonio. We always enjoy a delectable dinner at Morton's and this was as delightful as ever. For a good steak with generous portions and good service, Morton's is one of our favorites. You are never rushed at Morton's which contributes greatly to the overall fine dining experience.

We were in town for the Alamo Bowl. We wanted a special, memorable Christmas dinner. The staff were so good and the food was all we'd hoped. We had a sweet time as a family, and truly enjoyed every aspect of Morton's.

We always eat at a Morton's when traveling so we stopped in while on vacation in San Antonio. The atmosphere and appointments were top tier as one might expect and the food was delicious. Heather did a fantastic job serving us - super friendly and efficient. Ask for her if you dine here. We will definitely go back the next time we are in SA.
Drinks Have gone out of site
It has always been expensive, so we use it for special occasions, like this my 79th BD. We were there on 10/31/16 and ordered the Halloween Special, a good buy but no substitutions permitted. Neither steaks was cooked to our liking. Ordered a Gray Goose vodka gimlet, made wrong. When I got my bill saw where they had raised the price of a cocktail for 412 to $16.00 each. They just went waaaaaay to far with their pricing! !! ! ! !
