Letdown

By RPMCanes |

I had heard a lot of other people post about this place and about how good it was. I was really looking forward to visiting, and when I got there, aesthetically it was what I was expecting. I sat at the bar and got great service there. However, the food was a big disappointment. I got the meatball appetizer which was fair at best. The meatballs were really small and they had a crust on them that I wasn't really digging. The Linguine alle Vongole was not actually on the paper menu that night but when I asked about it, they said they could do it. I wish I had chosen something else. The pasta was chewy. Very disappointing and I probably won't be going back.

Everything was great except the table.

By Paul F |

This would’ve been a five star experience for us. Unfortunately, we were not seated in the main restaurant, but were seated at the tables in the bar area. After asking to be seated in the main restaurant, we were told that we would have to wait at least 45 minutes, which was not possible for us to do. So we were disappointed and took off one star for this review. As for the rest of the experience, it was top-notch. Very pricey, but the food and service we’re outstanding. We started with bruschetta, and then moved to an arugula salad had the carbonara, and then finished with a nice piece of fish. Our server was wonderful and we were well attended to. We would’ve had dessert, but we were too full. At our servers recommendation we split everything. Tables next to us did order the dessert and it looked and smelled amazing. The ambience was beautiful but again I missed a lot of that because of where we were seated. The music was a touch loud, but I enjoyed the selection overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We Really Enjoyed It

By Patty B |

We were reluctant to try this restaurant because of the mixed reviews. We were glad we did. Our meal was very good. We started with the meatball appetizer to share with the focaccia bread. Very good. We chose the focaccia that was simply prepared with salt and olive oil. It complimented the meatballs beautifully. My husband wanted rigatoni with pomodoro sauce and they were happy to accommodate his request. I had the rigatoni amatriciana. Both pastas were delicious. We skipped dessert, they looked great but we were full. The tables are very close together which worked out well for us as the people next to us were from Las Vegas, so we had a great conversation. It is like you are sitting with the people next to you. The restrooms proved difficult. As I was approaching a woman came out of the men's room and her husband came out of the ladies room. It is dark and the names on the doors do not help!! Uomini for men and Donne for women. So keep that in mind. We laughed, but it could be very awkward. I would recommend this restaurant.

Average food as overly salted

By Graham H |

We had high hopes for this restaurant but left feeling disappointed. The restaurant itself is decadent but the food is just average as all the food is over salted. Before attending we did watch vlogs where they were complaining of the food being over salted but we thought it was just their preference, but it wasn’t. For starters we had the focaccia bread which was lovely and soft but had too much salt. For mains I had the carbonara but the prosciutto ham was very salty causing the sauce to become over salted. My wife had a plain pizza but the tomato base sauce was again over salted. The food could be so much better if only they reduced the amount of salt. Needless to say we were drinking water all evening. I therefore could not recommend this restaurant.

Go Somewhere Else

By Angeline C |

We were excited to eat at Mother Wolf and this was supposed to be one of the highlights of our trip. I have reservations and we were seated quickly, which was good. When the waiter took our drink order, my husband asked for iced tea, and the waiter scoffed and said something about it being a “Roman inspired” restaurant. After that we felt chided and out of place. We had the Pizza de Rossa and Polpette di Coda to start and neither were that good. We didn’t like the consistency of the short rib meatball compared to the ground meat they are usually made of. I don’t think the pizza had any cheese on it. For the next part, we had the Fettucine al Burro and it was pretty good but the pasta was not al dente, it seemed overcooked. For Secondi, we had Tagliata di Manzo, and it was good, it was cooked as requested. When the waiter brought the dessert menu we saw that there was tea on it that could have been offered but wasn’t. Overall, neither the food nor the service would’ve convinced us to come back. We’ve had too many great dining experiences in Las Vegas and would rather go back to them.

Good Italian at a beautiful hotel

By Candace N |

The focaccia and the Rigatoni Amatriciana were amazing. The squash blossoms were good, too. Sommelier on staff if you are into that sort of thing. Nice ambience, huge kitchen with wood burning oven. The Fountainebleau hotel itself was stunning. Highly recommend. Had a delicious mocktail at Bleu Bar before dinner as well.

Food really bland or overly done but nothing good

By Malena |

Not good... felt like cheap and unflavorful food at premium prices. Spend the same amount to go someone amazing! We ordered eight dishes. The only thing we enjoyed was the fee bread, which was lovely. Salad so acidic it bourned. Squash blossoms fried to nothing. Pastas gummy and bland. Wait staff rushed and and on some sort of of timed money program. It felt like being taken advantage of.

Disastrous Birthday Dinner

By Patty B |

We were celebrating a birthday and after the wonderful time we had in October, decided to go back to Mother Wolf. We were staying at the Wynn and even from there it is an Uber ride. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth it. They sat us in an unattractive out of the way room. Last time we were in the main dining room with its lovely decor and vibrant atmosphere. Our server, a woman maybe Maria was so hard to understand. She sounded like Latka Gravas from the show Taxi. We started with their signature focaccia and ordered our entrees. As we were eating the bread a mindless looking guy with a blank stare came over and took one of the bread plates. I was actually eating the bread as he did this, and we had half of it still on the table. Then a clueless young man showed up with just one entree. We told him we had ordered two entrees and that we wanted to eat at the same time. He looked confused and headed back to the kitchen. He literally had to pass the other server who had the other entree. Now we have a situation. We asked for the manager who gave us some story about serving the food as it comes out. We hate that and it wasn't that way in October, and our server never mentioned it to us. Either that or we did not understand her with her heavy accent. They finally brought the two pasta entrees, which were not as good as the last time. Our server finally showed up after all this curfuffle. They comped our meal and brought us a nice little cake and Tiramisu also comped. It really didn't make up for the aggravation and lousy evening we endured with the not so great room and missteps. This is a high end restaurant that should have it's act together by now. It's not easy to get to if you aren't staying at the Fontainbleau so an Uber or cab is needed. It is no longer worth our time and effort to go there again. A wasted evening. I would have rated it Terrible, but they did try to make it right.

The food speaks for itself

By Vancouver2Vegas |

This place is outstanding, from the focaccia bread to the pastas and pizzas. And Ddont don’t even get me started on the dessert - the Ciambelle Fritte was to die for. Cocktails were good too. Worth making the trip to the Fontainebleau.

The Mortazza is your mission

By Michael U |

With the runaway success of three concepts in Los Angeles it was only a matter of time before Evan Funke started to expand his reach, and with Mother Wolf at Fontainebleau Las Vegas the man who hashtagged #f*^%yourpastamachine has somehow outperformed expectations yet again. Designed as a fast-paced Roman-themed eatery, Funke’s obsession with top-tier Ingredients turning what at first seems like a see-and-be-seen party into a dining destination, it is via Reservations that guests find themselves seated beneath chandeliers plus mid-volume music while servers circulate at a brisk pace under the direction of Gabriel Fontenier. As much a social event as Dinner thus far, think Carbone without theatrical captains, Mother Wolf’s menu looks a lot like Felice a Testaccio and whether one begins with Funke’s signature Focaccia or plump Prawns in vibrant Salsa the quality is evident in each bite. Not forgetting unique Cocktails, nor fried Oxtail Meatballs better than the majority in Italy, Funke’s Pizzas receive due praise thanks to a fair price and gently blistered Dough that supports Spicy Salumi well but truly shines wrapped around Mortadella, Ricotta and Pistachios. A “scene” by 7:00pm, the foyer clogged by would-be diners and Bar two-deep, Pastas tally nine and of those tasted betwee Los Angeles and Las Vegas standouts included masterful Cacio e Pepe, creamy All’amatriciana flecked with Guanciale, vibrant Puttanesca and Mezze Maniche beneath complex Wild Boar Ragù. Entirely over-the-top, including a section of luxury items featuring Truffles and Caviar, Desserts include housemade Gelato and inventive Sorbetti while those in need of something a bit more filling should head straight for the Ricotta Cheesecake or signature Maritozzo.

Food is nothing special and service is poor

By Madeleine T |

I wouldn't recommend. We were staying at the Fontainebleau for 8 nights and ate at Mother Wolf the first night we arrived. We had pizza and it was fine - not as good as fairly basic Pizzerias in the UK. The main issue we had was on the second time we went to eat here. A girl at the front desk went out of her way to be rude - really strange in Vegas. We had walked in after checking with the hotel concierge earlier in the evening to check whether there would likely be space. The restaurant wasn't at capacity, but for some reason the lady in question just didn't want to seat us and didn't even look up from her computer to explain that she only had room at the bar. After sitting at the bar for 10 mins with no menus, we decided to head out. It just really isn't worth the price when you're getting terrible service, when you can choose from any of the other amazing restaurants that the hotel has to offer.

A refined Roman feast worth celebrating

By Corneliu A |

Mother Wolf at Fontainebleau Las Vegas delivered an experience that went far beyond a typical dinner. It was a celebration elevated to art. My wife and I chose it to mark my 64th birthday, and from the moment we arrived, everything felt curated, personal, and exceptional. Stephanie Vinci’s help in securing our reservation on short notice was the first sign that this team understands hospitality at the highest level. Once seated, Arthur guided our evening with grace and precision. Attentive without hovering, warm without formality, the service was seamless and made us feel genuinely cared for. The atmosphere is a masterclass in contrast: electric yet elegant, theatrical yet intimate. It’s clear that Mother Wolf is part of Fontainebleau’s bold vision. Not just a restaurant, but a destination. The design, lighting, and energy all contribute to a sense of occasion. One of the most touching details was the personalized menu, elegantly printed with a birthday greeting and the exact date of our celebration. A thoughtful detail that made the evening feel even more special. As for the food, every dish was a revelation. We began with a Sunset Spritz and the refreshing Ciao Cetriolo, followed by the delicate Fiori di Zucca and a beautifully balanced Insalata di Polpo. The Branzino alla Brace was grilled to perfection, flaky and aromatic. The Rigatoncini alla Vaccinara was rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying, a true homage to Roman tradition. Every dish reflected the essence of Roman tradition, elevated with a contemporary touch. As a thoughtful gesture, the team surprised us with a chocolate dessert and a candle to mark the occasion. Simple, heartfelt, and deeply appreciated. Mother Wolf is a place where every detail celebrates life’s special moments. We warmly recommend it to anyone wishing to enjoy authentic flavors, impeccable service, and an unforgettable atmosphere. We left deeply impressed, grateful for the experience, and already looking forward to our next visit.

Service None

By Chianti |

Been few times in this restaurant the past year but never was the service soo bad like this time, seriously servers don’t care about their customers and bussers just gossip in the corners with the management in their phones like they’re in a union break while my table was unattended, water refills never happened, we ask for new plates to Carin our busser he replied sure i be back but he just never comeback but he was standing near my table chit chatting with another employee , the management is not like last year they don’t care about their customers . also the arrogance of our busser is very disappointed looks like he is unhappy in his job.

Birthday Surprise

By Catherine P |

We went the week of my birthday but did not inform the restaurant. But they got the information from my players card and came out with a special dessert and candle. Dino was our server and he took excellent care of us. We enjoyed the focaccia bread, arugula salad and rigatoni carbonara. All were very good. Highly recommend this restaurant. Worth the trip to Foutainebleau! Great Ambience

nothing to write home about (literally :)

By fran f |

Four of us went for dinner at mother wolf. We ordered a few appetizers and each a pasta dish. We all thought everything was mediocre at best, including the desserts. Doubt if we would ever go back.

Just don’t get it?

By Samantha K |

I really don’t get what all the hype is about. My family was placed in a side room with no views of restaurant. The bus boy kept a large tub of table wipes on the shelf by our table and kept reaching behind to grab them. They warn you the food comes out when ready and at different times but our main dishes came out less than 10 minutes after we ordered which felt rushed. Twice a server came with items we were already given. Pizza and pasta just ok and not worth the price. Staff was attentive, I will give them that.

Amazing restaurant.

By ian |

Incredible food which was matched by the service. Without doubt the best meal we’ve had in over 30 trips to Vegas at restaurants in almost all of the strip hotels. Michael was outstanding with his knowledge and suggestions which all helped make the experience. Stephanie made the evening even more unforgettable with her kind gesture at the end of our night. An unforgettable experience for all of us and we will be back on our next visit.

Rude Sommeliers

By Julie D |

Everything was OK until we ordered wine. We ordered a bottle of wine that was listed as $228. The first of two Sommelier’s spent less than 30 seconds with us going over their wine list which is pretty comprehensive. Most sommelier’s want to feel you out , what do you like, what wine grapes/regions, how much do you want to spend? When we got our bill we were charged $685. Our waiter called over the Sommelier (the 2nd person who opened the wine, saying less than two words to us) was rude, arrogant, and treated us like we were stupid. He gladly pointed us to the price of which was printed on HIS menu. This is not our first rodeo! We will not order wine without knowing the price of it . Either they switched the menu out or the waiter (whom we ordered from) got it wrong. The waiter did seem concerned as if he brought the wrong bottle, because he asked several times is that the right one? Is that ok? Etc etc. He also mentioned he’d only been working there for two weeks, so maybe he did bring the wrong bottle. Different year, different grape type perhaps, not sure. Regardless, if you want to be treated like an idiot then go there. We like good traditional Italian dinner, customer service and respect.

GOOD!

I would have preferred to go to the club in Los Angeles but due to commitments and limited time available, we opted for a dinner in Las Vegas. Very nice little Italian style but very American. not “too much” as America teaches , but composedly lavish. Great food. As a perfect Italian after a few days in America I preferred to eat a tagliata. Excellent. Medium cooking (as per my request ), not dry at all . Scoccarelli asparagus with a lime-flavoured back. All accompanied by a glass of white wine recommended by the guy who served us. High price range, but quality comes at a cost! Try it in Los Angeles too!

Pls get friendlier staff

By conjuror88 |

Chef Evan Funke's restaurant should have friendlier front of the house staff, even though we waited for a table. Not helpful or pleasant to talk to. Menu outside did not have any prices. We shared dishes and ordered, -classic bruschetta, so so, too much olive oil - polpette, short rib meatballs, but too much fillers; - 4 cheese and Margherita pizza, nice crust but not enough ingredients - lemon linguini ( nice, tart with the pecorino); linguini Congolese (short on seafood); carbonara, enjoyed the guests; -veal chop and fish dish was small in portion, had to order doubles; - tiramisu, meyer lemon gelato, peach ice cream, crostata, stracciatella were the only good ones, should have just come here for dolce; - servers were also aloof and not helpful, had to repeatedly ask for water.

Great service really good food nice experience

By lilyfarmer |

Excellent food excellent service, we had the squash blossoms which are the best I have ever had. The carbonara and the fettuccine really great dishes…the sommelier that opened our wine was a nice touch and knowledgeable. The corkage was only $50 which I thought was reasonable for this High end, restaurant. Our server was excellent. Our experience was really great. It’s a beautiful restaurant with a really nice menu and a really nice wine list as well.

Looking forward to coming here again

By Ric |

We wanted to visit the new Fontainebleau and try out a few of their restaurants. Mother Wolf turned out to be a real treat. We had an excellent meal - both the food and the drinks. Several of the dishes were Italian classics with interesting twists. The service was outstanding and our waiter knew every aspect of all the dishes on the menu. However some of the descriptions were a little pretentious - such as telling us that the chef took five years to perfect his focaccia bread recipe.

Mother Wolf is a must do!

By stitcher1951 |

We loved this restaurant. It is beautiful as well All the staff that we dealt with were wonderful Our server was Shelsea and she was fabulous! She knew the menu very well and tended to our every need We started with squash blossoms and the were perfect with just the right amount of tasty filling. a+ Next we ordered a new pizza that was a white sauce with fig and prosciutto. It was heavenly! a+ My daughter in law had the chicken and she said it was wonderful A I had the Caccio e Pepe. I would have liked the pasta cooked a little more and less pepper. It was good but i’ve had better B The two men had the short rib ragu rigatoni. The both enjoyed it but couldn’t eat it all It was my husband s birthday and they brought him a sweet little chocolate cake yum!! The food was wonderful, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was beautiful. We will DEFINITELY will return ❤️❤️ PS how could i forget the bread!? The best ever!!

Nothing to write home about.

By vimatravel |

Underwhelming! Nothing about this meal was special or worthy of a next visit. The highly recommended focaccia was basic, nothing special. Squash blossoms were greasy. The fresh pasta both caico e pepe and rigatoni with short rib ragu were gummy. Both of these preparations would have been better served with dry pasta. The tiramisu again basic. Cocktails were ok and wine by the glass fine. The space is attractive and the service was good if not a bit too buddy buddy. So many better Italian options in LV.

Good Food - Stay away from the over-priced drinks!!

By MIke P |

First, I will say that the food was excellent and the service for dinner was top notch. However, the bar and bar tender, I would give a 0 if I could. I asked for a Manhattan with rye and asked what ryes they had. I mentioned several and he said they didn't have them in a snooty way. He then said they had Whistle Pig and I thought that's fairly expensive but you are in Vegas. He made it and I tasted it then he handed me a bill for $56 for one drink!!! I have traveled to 38 countries and have never felt this ripped off. The bartender has gray and black hair and looks like he might have some Italian heritage. Don't buy from him. I think he is on commission to see how much money he can extract from customers. I will never go back!

Nice

By hayley_golden |

Had heard great things about this place so was really looking forward to it. Overall, a great experience but a couple of things slightly let it down... firstly, the tables are set pretty close together. Secondly, as soon as seated we were asked whether we would like still or sparkling water - We asked for iced regular water. We were served a bottle & when we questioned it, were told this was at a cost. Pretty naughty when we had asked for the iced water which seems to be served complimentary everywhere else with a dinner. The waiter was happy to take the bottle away and remove from the bill, and we were then served just regular 'free' water during the rest of the meal.. but this did leave a bad taste and should not have happened. Just to note, we were also ordering beer and cocktails - so they were making money off us for drinks anyway! Dinner is served family style. My husband and I had the focaccia to start which was delicious, highly recommend this. We also ordered a MARINARA CON BURRATA pizza, which was just 'ok' and RIGATONCINI ALLA VACCINARA (short rib ragu) which was excellent. Lovely ambience in the restaurant with the big open kitchen, and would return (just for the focaccia!).

Very mediocre Italian food.

By lleichtman |

The pasta was gummy, the portions were small and it was way overpriced for the amount and quality of the food. I would never go back or recommend it to anyone and it was recommended to us.

Must must try!

By Francesca |

Absolutely delicious! I came here for a work trip and took myself to a great meal. I believe my server was Marco and he was very attentive even though I was one person and not ordering too much. He gave great recommendations and they made me a really delicious non alcoholic drink. The food is always excellent at Mother Wolf and the Las Vegas location was nothing short of amazing !

Al Dante or Undercooked?

By AmyZach1119 |

I was really looking forward to dining here and even saved it for my last night, but unfortunately, it ended up being my biggest disappointment of the trip. I ordered the lobster pasta, and the pasta itself was chewy and gummy—well undercooked, beyond even “al dente.” On top of that, the lobster wasn’t cleaned properly, and I kept pulling bits of shell out of my mouth. I visited Komodo and Papi’s during my stay, and this restaurant was easily my least favorite experience. The service didn’t help either; the bartender seemed more interested in flirting with a young woman at the bar than actually tending to all the guests. I understand having fun, but it came at the cost of everyone else’s experience. I don’t recommend this establishment.

Stylish fine dining, great food with a bit of a wait.

By ArchbishopOfBanterbury |

Booked the restaurant as partner was recommended it by a friend. Venue is stylish and upmarket with helpful and attentive staff. Seating was slow, taking nearly 45 mins after our reservation time. The table wasn't clean or ready either as we got to it. But this was sorted very quickly by great staff who provided a bottle of prosecco gratis which was a nice touch. Less pleasing was the fampus foccacia bread going out of stock just before we could order. It seemed odd the signature dish would be sold out by 9.15pm, perhaps if we'd been seated on time we'd have got to try it? But c'est la vie. Food was exceptional quality as were the drinks. I'd highly recommemd this place to friends. Albeit with caveats.

Disappointing Experience Despite the Great Food

By TravelinTexasGal |

Mother Wolf is an old-world Italian restaurant located inside the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. We had a 4:30 pm reservation and were seated promptly in a small, out-of-the-way room. The ambiance felt like an afterthought compared to the main dining room that we walked through. Service was friendly and on point. Our water glasses were never empty. Overall, the experience was too fast. The different courses came out too fast for our liking. We weren't quite rushed, but I didn't feel like I could fully savor the fine dining experience I had hoped for. We were not allowed to order a bread course without placing our entire order. Another thing to note is that the food is delivered in the order the kitchen prepares it, not necessarily in the order you requested it. So it didn't feel as much of a cohesive Italian experience, at least not the way we're used to. The focacia (sfincione) was the best focacia I've had. It was light and airy with a subtle flavor. I've wanted to try squash blossoms for years and this is the first time I've seen it on a menu. The squash blossoms (fiore di zucca) were terrific, and I will order them every time I see them on a menu from now on. They were a perfect blend of soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I could have demolished a platter of them. The tonnarelli cacio e pepe was creamy and delicious. The pasta was slightly more al dente than I prefer. It stuck to my teeth, which I'm not a fan of. But that's a personal preference, and I would order it again. My husband ordered rigatoni all'amatriciana and enjoyed it. I tried a bit and it was a little acidic for me, but still a sound bite of food. I would not make a point of going to the Fountainebleau specifically for Mother Wolf. Still, if I ever find myself at the Fontainebleau again, I will definitely eat at Mother Wolf.

Rude Staff

By babs441 |

We sat at the bar an the bartender who served us was awful. He was sarcastic and extremely rude. The bar stools were dirty when we arrived and then I asked for someone to clean it he gave me a dirty towel to clean it myself. I don’t mind cleaning a seat at a fast food joint but not at a restaurant of this caliber. During the course of our meal I asked for another cloth napkin and he responded "we only give one per customer out.” When I tell you I was speechless. I replied “I have been to the Mother Wolf in LA, Funke and Felix and this would never happen there." The food was fine not at the same level as the LA outpost. Just extremely disappointing.

Olive Garden in Wolf's Clothing

By BackPacker822241 |

I really wanted to like this place but it fell short in many areas. The seating: If you are not seated in the dinning area, you will have a subpar experience. Avoid the low energy side room, the back room and the side bar facing the kitchen, which reminds me of the depressing painting Nighthawks by Edward Hopper. The music: Why are they placing loud cheesy 90s Hip-Hop in an "authentic" Italian restaurant. I get it, it's Vegas, but it really cheapened the ambience. The menu: the font is incredibly small and hard to see in the dark restaurant , so unless you know a lot about Italian cuisine, you are at the mercy of the staff's picks who will steer you to the most expensive dishes and wine. The food: Very disappointing. The infamous focaccia bread was soft and good. Unfortunately they upsold to get the burrata (that included the bread) but included very salty and mediocre prosciutto that I didn't really want. The best dish was the fettuccini, which was light and buttery, then got hard and overly cheesy as it cooled. The "spicy" rigatoni was terrible, straight out of Olive Garden. All the wine glasses I was recommended were very average and spendy. The floor plan is very cluttered and you are constantly running into staff and servers in the tight spaces between the tables. I'd recommend going to Komodo on the second level of FontaineBleu if you want a fun upscale dinner in Vegas.

Great pasta

By wjm101012016 |

The restaurant has a soft ambiance to it with a sit down bar and regular type table seating. I had Fettuccine Al Burro and I must say it was fabulous. I did not expect such good Italian food. I also had Sfincione and it was also very tasty. I plan on going there again to try the other delights the restaurant offers.

Plays second fiddle to Carbone, but still good!

By GavinBlair2 |

Really cool space, and the food is very good. I always struggle to compare every place to Carbone, which is better than this. The focaccia bread is supposed to be a star but it was so so. The pizza was one of our favorites, thin and really tasty! We also got the gnocchi which was very good. The fried risotto didn't have a ton of flavor for what it was.

Dolce Vita

By Surferskier |

Mother Wolf is a fun and energetic escape that brings you to a great Roman restaurant. OK-you are in Vegas but feel like you are in Rome. The atmosphere is lively with the display kitchen that cooks on an open fire. Mike Johnson (Del Carlo) was our server and he graciously walked us through the experience. He is a true professional which is hard to find today. His passion to serve is well noted. We enjoyed the Fiori DI Zucca as a starter. The ricotta was rich and creamy yet complimented the squash blossom perfectly. The Sfincione bread was light and properly seasoned. The Ruchetta (wild arugula and parmigiano reggiano) is served as a shared plate and is excellent. The short rib meatballs and Saltimbocca di Vitello were outstanding and memorable. Save room for the decadent tiramisu and house made gelato as this is the dolce vita. We are dreaming of our next visit and can not wait to get back.

Go there!

Amazing restaurant! Loved everything about it. Food was exceptional, service was amazing all at a great price point. Luxury dinner at pretty affordable prices!

Don't call your food Italian, please!

By Rick F |

My recent dining experience at Mother Wolf was simply awful. Since its opening, it’s been difficult to score a reservation which gives the impression that the experience at Mother Wolf must be worth the wait. It is not. The menu boasts a variety of traditional central Italian dishes, yet the execution is painfully sub par. During this visit, we ordered Carbonara and Amatriciana – two staple Roman dishes. They both lacked the authenticity and flavor that one would expect from a so-called upscale Italian restaurant, not to mention that even the choice of pasta was completely wrong. The carbonara was clumpy with addition of a heavy cheese sauce not the silky smooth light texture for which Carbonara is known. What ruined the whole experience was the inability to add tomato sauce to the “classic pizza”. As an Italian, two things jumped immediately to my mind: 1) cooks are clueless as to what classic pizza is and 2) the “pies” are pre-prepared which makes addition of sauce difficult. If you ever enjoyed real Roman cuisine and expected to be transported to that culinary experience, you will be disappointed. The food here is simply for sustenance- and pricey at that. The service although pleasant is rather clumsy. Note to staff- no one eats rigatoni with a fork and spoon. So much room for improvement!

Loud inappropriate music drowns out the great food

By Jeff N |

Great food, good service but the music was loud and completely inappropriate for the setting. We asked our waiter and he said the staff had been complaining ever since it opened but gave up after awhile as mgmt did not listen

Disappointing

By Brian |

I’ve eaten at a lot of good Italian restaurants even in Italy, this is not one of them. I had the.Linguine alle vongole. It had a soap aftertaste. I said at the bar since I was by myself there was no bread offered as part of the meal. I also felt that the price was a little over compared to other places I’ve eaten that had better food. Disappointing..

Delicious food, great service, wonderful atmosphere. Got the last early reservation available. They serve family style.

Excellent service and meal

We had reservations for 7 and enjoyed a delicious family style Italian dinner. Our waiter made the evening extra special. We had a fabulous time!

Great food and service

By Stacy Strickland |

Delightful dinner experience. Great food and service. We shared the stuffed squash blossoms, had our own pasta (cacio e pepe for me, carbonara for him), shared a fish and dessert (donuts /Panna cotta). We had enough pasta leftovers for lunch the next day.

Not impressed

By worldtraveler6900 |

It is pricey for the quality. It is meant to be a sharing plate restaurant (family style). There is not much to offer GF. The waiter said the lamb or Branzino were my only options for dinner. Although I am not sure why steak Florentino would not be GF. NO GF Pastas.... fennel salad and shrimp were only appetizers that I was told were GF. Fennel salad was good, and the shrimp were overcooked. It took 2 hours to get the Branzino. They said it was not usually that long to come and apologized by giving us a second order of dry shrimp. The branzino was cooked perfectly and deboned well. But it was flavorless. It came with eggplant. The skin on the eggplant was tough and rubbery. It should have been peeled off. My husband said that the carbonara was good. We ordered dessert, but 30 minutes later, it hadn't come out, so we asked for the check. We spent 3 hours here. The table next to us ordered 2 appetizers and barely ate 2 bites and left. We wouldn't go back.

Located in the Fontainebleau, this classy Italian restaurant is well designed and offers outstanding food and excellent service.

Terrific Italian cuisine, but….

I wanted to rate this a 5, but it didn’t work as well as La Fontaine. I was seated all the way in the back of the restaurant facing a mirror. Not fun for a single female diner. Preferred main center. Poor lighting and everyone was using their cells to see the menu. Female Server was way too over doing it with “madame” this and that. The Open kitchen is terrific, as well as the homemade pasta. Chose zucchini flowers and they were perfect. Followed with a smaller than expected portion of linguini in an exceptional lemon butter sauce. Also excellent. In Italy this dish would be served in a round deep bowl, not in a flat fish. Presentation does count! Dessert menu was nothing special and I passed. I believe the sorbet and gelato were priced at $15.00- quite surprising and excessive. They forgot to celebrate my BD and this was noted in my reservation. Better to try one of the other really superior restaurants.

Worth it.

Highlight of our Vegas stay. Love the decor. Waiters are helpful and attentive. Great sommelier. All the food was wonderful. The resort is an Oasis in the midst of touristy, crowded Vegas.

All around excellent experience.

All around excellent dining experience. Service and atmosphere is awesome but the food is beyond. Went here with 3 couples and ordered family style so we could try everything. Portions are good size for sharing, lots of choices for any dietary restrictions and phenomenal wine selection.

Excellent service

This restaurant is very lively and fun. Our server was terrific, and we really enjoyed the sommelier as well. She was awesome, and suggested wines that didn't break our bank instead of offering some of the most expensive wines like some sommeliers do. We enjoyed each of the dishes that we tried. The bread was awesome...light and fluffy. The meatballs were great, the prawns were flavourful and the pasta was yummy and fresh with lots of parmesan.

Talented Chef … Untalented Staff

This restaurant has a very interesting concept. Authentic Italian cuisine with a Rome centered menu. Unfortunately the chaos in the hostess area got the experience off to a terrible start. The two young women seemed confused and ill equipped to handle lines of patrons even though it was early in the evening. They need some serious retraining and better guest communications skills. The food was very good, but portions too large for someone dining solo. The suggested wine pairings were mediocre and not inline with the price point. The noise level distracted from any conversations, even with the servers, who were professional but not especially friendly. Also … after making a reservation with a credit card, I was charged the “no show” penalty, even though I was on time and the reservation was acknowledged when I arrived. I suspect this again has to do with a hostess mistake in the computer. I really loved what the chef is attempting, but he needs to rethink his team if this is to be a great venue in a town with so much great food and service. The poor operations of this place let down his clear talent, especially the younger hosts that make the first impression and the erroneous credit card charge.

Very tasty but loud

Very nicely decorated but, when it is full, also very noisy restaurant. Great Italian food. Table reservation highly recommended!

Worth it!

Mother Wolf lives up to the hype! And, it is more reasonable than many of the high-end restaurants in Vegas. From the moment you enter you are warmly greeted by a team of hosts. We were promptly seated and then immediately greeted by a server. There is an abundance of highly trained staff. One notable difference among many is that they constantly change out the silver and tableware! Now for the food. Current menu is attached. We had the fiori de zucca, stuffed squash blossoms and the most fresh bursts and prosciutto, which again notable, is freshly sliced! And a big bonus is if you order the burrata and prosciutto it comes with the ultimate focaccia called SFINCIONE, which is a very secret and speciale recipe refined by the chef. It is heavenly! Now for entrees we went straight to the pasta which is all freshly made and served al dente as it should be! I had the vongole which had generous amount of fresh clams and a buttery clam sauce. We also had RIGATONCINI ALLA VACCINARA which is a short rib ragù. For dessert, we were too full to select the larger desserts and chose the gelato which was excellent. Mother Wolf is a must do and much easier to get into than the one in LA.

Wonderful meal for a special occasion

We celebrated my wife’s parents’ 50th anniversary here. The space was beautiful. The staff made us feel very special, especially my in-laws. The food was amazing! We especially loved the focaccia, meatballs, (so crunchy and delicious), the FETTUCCINE AL BURRO, the RIGATONI ALL’AMATRICIANA, and the Branzino. Overall, a fabulous experience

Would highly recommend

This was the best dining experience all around this trip! Michael was great, he was attentive and timed our meal perfectly. He made is feel line he was honored that we chose Mother Wolf to celebrate at. We did the chef's choice and were led along a culinary journey. It was literally enough for each of us (7 total) to taste, on some items I wished there was a bit more but that's the only 'complaint' I have. To be clear, I was not hungry when I left. Beautiful space.

Good if in the Fontainebleau!

By JB |

It was very good. As with the other restaurant options along the Strip in Vegas, it’s very expensive and not sure I’d categorize it as a “must go?” The squash blossom appetizer was excellent, however! If you’re in the Fontainebleau, it’s worth a try! Reservations are suggested although we found seats at the bar and were satisfied.

Romantic and Delicious

By Marian L |

My husband and I really enjoyed our dining experience at Mother Wolf. The service was friendly and attentive. The pace of the meal was great. We enjoyed a cocktail with the focacia bread, which was delicious. We were served complimentary stuffed squash blossoms (who doesn't like fried cheese??). We ordered the suppli al telefono, which were ok... we have a favorite here at home in DC that's hard to beat. We shared the carbonara and cacio e pepe, both of which we loved. The atmosphere was lovely. Overall a very enjoyable experience, would definitely recommend to others.

Beautiful Restaurant, Food and Experience

I've been wanting to try Mother Wolf for several months and finally had the chance. It did not disappoint. I was seated promptly and loved the location of my table. The restaurant is beautiful. My server was extremely attentive and helped to guide me in the right direction. I started with the Burrata e Crudo and it was delicious. That might've been the best prosciutto I've ever had. It truly melted in my mouth. It came with Sfincione. For my entree, I had the Linguine al Limone and it was incredible. What a beautiful sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly. I was too full for dessert and actually took my leftovers up to my room to have as a midnight snack!

Nice Italian

We sat at the bar and all the staff were great! Food was above average. We had the bruschetta, arancini and two pastas and all were really good. Red wine selection by the glass was also great. We will go back next time we are in town.

Mother Wolf was an incredible dining experience!

By travelingcoastal |

We ate here at Mother Wolf on our first night in Vegas and all 3 of us were exceptionally pleased with the service & quality of food that came out of the kitchen. Ruchetta Wild Arugula Salad - 10/10! A masterpiece of simplicity and flavor. When a massive heaping plate of arugula, sprinkled with parmesan arrived at our table, I think I said aloud "Oh there's no way we're going to eat all that arugula". 10 minutes later we were scraping the plate to eat the last bite. The dressing was light and coated the arugula just perfectly. It wasn't swimming in it (which can quickly ruin a salad) and each piece of arugula was perfectly dressed. The wild arugula leaves were large, not bitter at all, and amazingly flavorful. My girlfriends and I said we could eat that salad every day for the rest of our lives! The pasta is handmade and delicious, but as a carb-lover, I'm surprising even myself by saying that the Ruchetta stole the show. The fried squash blossoms were delicious. Props to the server: We didn't tell the server I was vegetarian, but one of my friends asked if the croquettes were vegetarian after they'd been delivered to our table. Our waiter quickly realized I was a vegetarian and that I'd mistakenly ordered an entree that came with meat (I guess I was too busy enjoying my salad rather than meticulously reading the menu!), he advised me of my error and suggested a vegetarian pasta instead. He was able to change my entree with the kitchen before its arrival to the table. Truly stellar customer service. I wish I had his name to give him a proper shout-out. Drink and water service were also attentive and swift. Loved the Great Gatsby-esque vibe of the restaurant. Dimmed lighting, personal table lamps, and beautiful decorations set a romantic and fun feel to the Mother Wolf experience. I can't wait to take my husband here next time I'm back in Vegas.

Don't Waste Your Time and Money - Overrated Terrible Time

By Mike |

Right from the start the experience was doomed. We made a 9:00pm reservation a week in advance for 2 people to celebrate a special event. They didn't sit us until 9:30pm. They offered us a 1 inch pour of cheap prosecco to make up for the wait. We ordered 2 negroni's - $20+ each drink. Way to much Campari, average drink. (Nice ice cube). Bottle Water $10 We normally order a bottle of wine with dinner. However, the wine list was so overpriced, that the lowest priced mediocre wines were $80-$100. The better wines on the wine list were $300+ way over priced. For the food we ordered the following: FIORI DI ZUCCA - $28 - Horrible - We received 5 small zucchini, undercooked, with much cheese and salty. Pizza Margherita - $25+ - I ordered it crispy and well done. Came out soft with no crunch. Bland sauce and taste - Very disappointed. Rigatoni All'Amatriciana - $38 - We asked for the pasta to be al dente. It came out overcooked and like mush. Such a waste. We were so disappointed that we didn't even attempt to have dolci/deserti, caffe or a digestif. Do not waste your time or money. All around a bad experience.

Some great dishes, but overall disappointing

By MTVandend |

I was looking forward to dining here, as I’d heard great things about the West Hollywood location. Pros - lovely looking restaurant - great server - Margherita pizza and meringue dessert were delicious Cons - other tables were too close to ours, no privacy - didn’t have Diet Coke (why?), and my champagne by the glass was served in a white wine glass, not a champagne glass. - we could see a beautiful looking bread loaf on other tables, but it was unclear if it was a menu item or if it was complimentary, and our table was missed? (we had been to Carbone the night before, and had 3 types of bread, salami, and pickled vegetables all complimentary upon being seated). Overall, the restaurant felt as though it had only been open for a week or two, but it’s been almost a year. No idea why it isn’t running like a well-oiled machine by now. I feel like there are too many great restaurants around the strip to return to this one.

The Best Italian Outside of Italy

By Timcoarts |

OK. Now, I've found the best Italian experience outside of Italy. Who am I to judge this? Well, I lived in Italy for four years and have visited all over Italy on multiple occasions. Italy is the gold standard for foodies. Most Italian restaurants outside of Italy serve up a cover-band version of Italy's greatest hits. Nothing special. However, at Mother Wolf they get it. Italian food is an experience in itself. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave there is care for your experience. The quality of the food here and the care of its preparation are at the highest level. We had the zucchini blossoms, two pastas: caccio e pepe and arribiato, pizza Margherita and for dessert a sumptuous tiramisu and the surprisingly delicious olive oil cake. The service was perfect and the atmosphere was joyous. In fact, we loved Mother Wolf so much we ate there twice during our trip. Phenomenal all around.

GO TO MAYFAIR INSTEAD. Rude servers and every dish was over salted! 🤮

By Sharece C |

Wow, is all I can say! Right from the binning the server was insulted that we didn’t go with he’s recommendation of ordering 12 items for 4 people… (pretty sure he just wanted a bigger tip on the check) took a long time to get drinks, and again the serve was so fricking rude if we asked for anything. The ambience and the restaurant was OK. when we finally did get our food everything… and I mean everything was so over salted we almost count eat it but we were starving at this point… when the server asked how our food was we told him “honestly extremely salty” HE ROLLED HIS EYES AT US AND WALKED OFF. for the price of this place food should of been much better and the servers need a lot more training. Will never go back to this place. Go to MAYFAIR! If you want an excellent meal and extremely good service!

Great atmosphere

By my82pink |

At first, we had our mind set on Nowhere lounge upstairs but it wasn’t opened until later and I wanted a drink before dinner. I scanned around and saw this unique bar. It had nice r&b over the speakers, comfy seating, you can try your luck at the tables and roulette as well as watch sports. We sat at the bar. Jarett was the mixologist. We intended to stay for just one drink but ended up with 3 each! Great conversations, atmosphere, and delicious drinks. First round was just the teaser. Both cocktails were refreshing. -Winner takes: rum, lime, pamplemousse - refreshing -Promised land: vodka, honey, lemongrass, strawberries and lime - tasted like a berry smoothie Second round just gets better. Jarrett recommended these. -Kicker: whisky, yozu, lemon, frothy egg white - smooth citrusy -Jorge: my all time favorite. Maybe because I love tequila, lime, pineapple. I could sip this all night. Third round: -Sunflower: gin, elderflower, lemon - had the bitter grapefruit taste -Bisca: tequila, lemon, orange sherry, cucumber - least favorite. Each drink cost $21. The first round didn’t taste like $21 quality cocktail. But the second round, justified the price. Jorge was my favorite, followed by Promised land, kicker and sunflower. Jarett said drinks at the bar usually have 1.5 ounce of alcohol but Solo Club uses 2 to 2.5 ounce each. This lounge would be so much better if they had a live deejay spinning the r&b jams instead of the loud speakers.

Real deal Italian!

Made a last minute reservation on a Friday night and we were immediately greeted and seated. Service was excellent from start to finish and the atmosphere was great! The focaccia bread is a must. cacio e pepe was superb as well as the diavola pizza. Highly recommend for real italian food in a cool atmosphere!
