I was so happy to see Evan Funke open his first Mother Wolf restaurant on the east coast, especially in my home base of Miami! I have heard amazing things about his Los Angeles restaurants and was so excited to try his new restaurant here. If you haven't heard of Evan Funke, he's an amazing pasta craftsman- check out his Netflix Chef's Table Noodles episode to see how he came to be the chef he is today. It's a really great show! For reservations, they open up 7 days in advance of your desired date at 9 AM EST. Saturdays are really tough to get reservations, so be flexible if possible. We dined on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet overall, but it was great because staff seemed to be more relaxed and personalized their servicing even more. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the host stand employees and were congratulated for our wedding anniversary. We then were seated in the main dining room promptly at our reservation time and were greeted by our server Isaac who came by with two glasses of complimentary prosecco to recognize us for our anniversary as well. It really was a nice touch and made us feel really special. We studied the menu and Isaac answered any questions we had. We ordered a bottle of wine (bottles of wine started around $80), and the wine selection was very impressive and all good quality. For appetizers we ordered the Sfincione in Bianco ($12) to start and the Fiori di Zucca ($28). Both were must orders, really tasty and flavorful. You absolutely have to order the focaccia, it's unlike anything I've ever had before! For entrees, we had to order the pasta (Rigatoncini alla Vaccinara, $34 & the Rigatoni All'Amatriciana, $26). The pastas were all large portions surprisingly and all so amazing and hand crafted, you could really feel the love the the dishes! You absolutely have to order the pasta here! For dessert, they had a very impressive menu as well - we ordered the Torta All'Olio D'Oliva ($15), and also was a very impressive creation by the pastry team and we were so happy we ordered it. The entire experience at Mother Wolf Miami was very impressive, the staff from the time we entered from the time we left made us feel at home and welcome and celebrated our wedding anniversary with us. You absolutely have to try Mother Wolf Miami!

We happened to sit next to Chris Jones on a flight to Miami, he was kind enough, to have his staff member make a reservation. Wow! Everyone that waited on us was top shelf! The food was so amazing, we had 5 different pasta dishes, I couldn't choose a favorite. From appetizer's, Main course's and dessert's were on point. I highly recommend Mother Wolf. The atmosphere set the mood, for a fantastic evening.

Extraordinary atmosphere and service a menu that has remained the same since its opening, recommended experience…..

Great food in a beautiful interiors of the restaurant that is located in a fabulous part of the city. I really loved the pasta dishes, especially the pasta limone. Appetizers were interesting. Very good service.

Mother Wolf (open since October 2024 in Miami) is Chef Evan Funke’s excellent Roman Italian restaurant in the Miami Design District. It’s a tough table to get (as is the case with Chef Funke’s well established original Mother Wolf in Los Angeles CA). The menu pays homage to Rome from its’ entry (the logo of Romulus & Remus and the Mother Wolf) to the pasta & pizza (& much more!) centric menu. As for the dinner experience: Design District Valet Parking ($5) located conveniently in front Ambience - stylish & pretty; moderate (but not overpowering sound) noise/music level (which veers more toward The Rolling Stones than say: Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, or Frank) Drinks - EXCELLENT cocktails (house Margarita, & Boulevardier were both excellent!) Salad (Musticanza Di Campagna) - light, fresh, delicious greens Pizzas - MUST TRY Mother Wolf’s very thin crust !! - the Margherita, and Diavola were both EXCELLENT!! Pasta - Rigatoni Amatriciana (among the MOST quintessential Roman recipes) - a DELICIOUS classic here!! Gelato (we tried Vanilla bean) - very good! This was a first visit for us. Mother Wolf Miami is a tough table; we can’t wait to return to try more of the menu items!! As of now, I’d definitely rate Mother Wolf as MUST TRY in Miami !!

Don’t go there. Worst service ever. We got on time and they didn’t sit us because 1 of the guests was late. Very rude manager.

Without question the food was good but the service was poor and at times bordering on arrogance from the chap taking the order. For example the bread was ordered then after 20 minutes I chased it and felt slightly rebuked for daring to ask. The restaurant is packed and clearly doing well , but the serving team and hostess team were at best , less than average. The Somellier was , in my opinion unqualified, especially when he tried pouring with the cork still in place. The acoustics are dreadfully poor. Difficult to hear your guests. Well no fabric in the room ! The sound system is so poor you can only hear the base . Perhaps I’m too old to appreciate loud banging noise and under qualified servers . The list could go on , but heh go , I’m on holiday !

A huge pressure for us to leave. We had to order all the dishes, entrance, main and dessert all at once. They brought the bill after an hour we were sitting... Disappointing that kind of restaurant

Located in the Miami Design District (and imported from Los Angeles by Chef Evan Funke), Mother Wolf is a Roman-style Italian restaurant (and a Miami hot spot since opening in October 2024). During this repeat visit we enjoyed: Ambience - comfortable seating, stylish interior, great hospitality & service Cocktails - excellent (Boulevardier over 1 large ice cube, & house Margarita) Focaccia - MUST TRY fresh-baked DELICIOUS bread course (we tried: Sfincione Rosso) - pairs great with cocktails or wine Pizza - MUST TRY @ Mother Wolf !! Rigatoni Amatriciana - a Roman classic; a delicious plate of pasta! Halibut puttanesca - olives, tomatoes, yum!! Roast fennel parmigiana - a delicious side dish House gelato (nocciola) - yum! Hazelnut! Start-to-finish, dinner at Mother Wolf Miami is a real treat! We can’t wait to return!!

Dined here several times and never left disappointed, so we returned with my Brother (visiting from Austin) and he very much enjoyed the evening. The octopus salad is a must keep (my Wife's favorite) and the prawns in salsa verde were delicious. Fettuccine al Limonne was mouth watering (even now when I think of it), and I rather liked the Arrabbiata more when served with Spaghetti, although still very nice with the Fusilli. Service was spot on; Mother Wolf knows how to take good care of its children (cubs, I suppose). While everything else is five stars, my only complaint is the less than stellar quality of the in-house sound system, a shame that you have to lean into the other party in order to have a conversation. But when you're there for the food...

The atmosphere was nice and elegant, we were welcomed at the entrance and the hostess was very kind. We ordered a couple of starters and pizzas. All very good. The service was great and the server is super friendly staff.

Super cool environment, super cool decoration. Very friendly and nice service. Delicious food! Me and my whole family ate very well. The price is high, especially that of alcoholic beverages, but the experience is very valid. The music is a little loud, but nothing that damages the experience.
Exceptional Italian
It was perfect. Nice staff, very welcoming, kind of old fashioned style interior decor that serves de purpose to make you feel you’ve gone back in time, the food without exception was excellent. Zucchini flowers, focaccia, pizza ai funghi, beef tartare, pasta cinghiale and pasta caccio e pepe, the tagliata and its sides were all incredible. Very interesting Wine list, Italian wines in the 100$ range/ bottle, US wines more expensive. Would definitely go back, highly recommend it.
