Loved it!

By MrsBailey3030 |

We finished up business late and hungry. It was great to find this awesome restaurant that is open until midnight. It is listed as a bar and grill so we didn't know what to expect. Very nice decor, ambiance, friendly service and great food. The favorite of the table was the lobster linguine.

Good lunch spot

By PH |

For business lunch, they are fast, quick and maintain the quality. I appreciate that. They do ask for reservations, but if you don't, there are plenty of seating at the bar area.

Would not Recommend

By LMA2214 |

The atmosphere is great. Finding Moxies is not the easiest and knowing which restaurant is open in the Crescent Hotel is not as easy as it should be. We asked staff and no one even knew where each restaurant was. The food was below average and would not suggest anyone to visit;(

Moxie's- Dallas

By Justin R |

Me and 3 co-workers had lunch there while attending a trade show event in Dallas. The food was great. Nice patio and great service. Also in a great location near the art's district and a lot of the larger hotels in downtown.

Great food in great Uptown spot

By Suzan F |

Moxie’s is a great addition to the Uptown restaurant scene. It has a sleek modern interior and a great patio. The menu is varied and the food was great. Moxie’s is located in the Crescent, facing McKinney Ave and Maple Ave. It is just steps away from the McKinney Ave trolley.

Late night gem

By Ken H |

We went to Moxies after a football game for a late night snack and drinks and were totally impressed with the food and the service. I would strongly recommend the bread pudding. It's the best I have ever experienced!

Patio!! Best people watching

By 31travel06 |

We sat outside and it was so nice. the breeze and with the sun going down it was a perfect night for sitting out on the patio. we ordered the sushi cones and our waitress was so nice to tell us to add one more to make it two each. They were to die for!! The steak sandwich it was open face and was served with fries! Enjoy!

Very nice place in Southlake!

By Claudia D |

Very fancy place. Good food and drinks but specially good staff working there. Such a pleasure to be treat like these. The location is lovely! Lots of good brands to spend a few hours there. A lung in Dallas full of big roads and highways. You can feel very peaceful at Southlake. Super reccomendly. The place is modern. Clean. Nice decoration. Very clean toillets. A pleasure to visit. I was just on a layover and got surprised by this corner place. Good view and good time there.

Seen and Be Seen

By 748nealb |

We went to Moxie's on a sunny spring afternoon for happy hour. The drink specials and appetizers were excellent, the service stellar, and the scenery entertaining. My teenage boys were enamored of the high-end cars that drove in and out of parking lot next to the outdoor patio. Moxie's is the place to be seen if you're upwardly mobile or hoping to be. Our family of four didn't exactly fit in, but it was a fun slice of the high-end Dallas social life.

Fun atmosphere & good drinks/food!

By J-Auve |

Visited a friend in Dallas and for 5 days and ended up going to Moxie's twice during our stay! It is THE spot for young adults and single mingling it seems. Enjoyed the frozen vodka soda cocktails and the food was fairly delicious (I had the tacos, my husband enjoyed a French dip sandwich, split GIANT nachos on the second visit). If you're going to visit with a large group, I suggest making reservations or going early to get a table because both times we went the place was absolutely packed and we had to wait for a table. While this place isn't necessarily what I would consider my scene, it was fun with a group of friends on my vacation.

The worst service ever

By Hellen E |

Went to Moxie’s for the first time last Saturday 10/9/2021. My waiters name was Piper. She was cool but you can tell she just wanted us to order fast. I wasn’t sure what i wanted to get so i asked her about 3 things on the menu. I decided on. The jasmine Thai curry bowl. When it came out it wasn’t quite what i expected and the vegetables were so hard. I asked for a manager so i can change my order out. He walked up and i already knew it was going to be an issue. He said his name and said he was called over for a food concern? I advised i wasn’t satisfied with what i ordered and asked if i could get something else in exchange for it. He went straight in and said well you can’t be sampling food that’s our policy here. Not what did you not like about it. No sorry you feel that way. No nothing. Just straight to sampling food. I definitely felt like it was a racial thing because why how could you accuse me of sampling food. It’s not like i got an appetizer and did the same thing or a drink and sent it back too. This was the only thing i ordered and took back. He proceeded to go back and forth with me until my friend was like she just wants something in replace of this. Idk if he thought since i was BLACK i was trying to get over and not pay for anything. Mind you i just ordered 2 $14 dollar margaritas and what i was changing the nasty $28 food for was $21 so how was i really getting over? It was my first time ever being racially profiled. It definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. When they waiter came back she didn’t even say I’m sorry about that or anything just that my food was on the way. When i got my food i expected the manager or anyone in charge to swing by and say how do you like your food anything but he never did. He just continued talking to the white lady two tables away from me for more than 15 mins. I closed my tab and we left. I will NEVER be back to Moxies and have told all my friends not to go either. Sickening

Near our hotel Zaza. Pleasantly

By Stacey L |

Near our hotel Zaza. Pleasantly surprised by the vibe. We stopped in to watch the last part of a game and have key lime pie. The pie was amazing! Even at 9p it was crowded and on a wait list.

UNHEALTHY EPA VIOLATORS **COVID-19 exposer inconsideration NONE of the bartenders wash their hands…

By Joseph G |

After having an adult beverage and eating an appetizer at Moxie‘s bar and Grill at 100 Crescent Court Dallas Texas 75201. I began to notice that the bartenders are picking up dirty glasses and placing them over into a dishwashing machine. None of them were wearing gloves and even if they were wearing gloves they never ever ever wash their hands. I started to video record this when the manager Dennis Williams came up to me and told me to stop videoing his employees… or other guests at the bar. I wasn’t videoing other guests at the bar I was videoing the bartenders of which none of them where wash their hands a single time! About three days later I started to get sick I did a COVID-19 test and I came up positive!!! Three days prior I had a physical done where I was in perfect health no COVID-19. This restaurant needs to be shut down by the EPA is they do not comply with good handwashing practices. I am a doctor And I’m very familiar with infection control practices and hospital acquired infections… This place Moxies is a breeding place for bacteria that can kill you! I would highly recommend not visiting this facility and I would hope you would join me in trying shut set this place down as it is a health hazard! KNOWING MOXIES AND THIS GUY DENNIS WILLIAMS ARE GOING TO TRY TO RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE IN A DEROGATORY FASHION AND EXPLAINED THAT THEY TRY TO KEEP SOME TYPE OF EPA HEALTH HANDWASHING TECHNIQUES WHICH ARE UNTRUE!!!… DON’T BE TRICKED WHEN THIS MANAGER OR HIS COLLEAGUE TRIES TO TELL US THAT THEY WASH THEIR HANDS AT MOXIES…THEY DONT! PROTECT YOURSELVES FROM THIS ONLY MONEY HUNGRY CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE!

Thank you Noah! Delicious, allergy friendly spot

By Petunia |

We had an amazing dinner here. Our server Noah was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations. He was also incredibly helpful with my food allergies and made sure I had an outstanding meal. I am allergic to seafood and was able to eat potstickers for the first time in years. Such a rare treat for me as an allergy patron! Thank you so much to Noah and team. Also, the ice cream cake - amazing!

Finally a 10!

By Michelle A |

I don't normally select the restaurant being a vegetarian, especially since all my friends are carnivores. BUT I am so glad that I selected Moxies. Not only do they do an exceptional job for the carnies, they do an amazing job for us vegetarians. We started off with the guacamole and a Thai chili chicken appetizer, which were both crowd pleasers! I had the tofu lettuce wraps and I can't say enough good things. The sauce they used was wonderful, just a bit of spice and the tofu was perfectly crispy! My friends had a steak, french dip and a chicken burger. No one was disappointed. Now that is just the amazing food. The service was AWESOME. My friends and I spend over 200 days on the road, so service becomes important. To be honest mediocre food can be forgiven when the service is amazing. We were lucky to have found both great food and great servers! Our servers were Kelsea, yes, her name ends with an A, vs a Y and Colton. They both took the time to discuss the menu with us and they made excellent suggestions. They never made us feel like we were being rushed and they always kept our glasses full. If you live in Dallas and have not been to Moxies you are missing out. If you are traveling through Dallas and want a great meal and amazing service to boot, then Moxies is your best bet! Thanks again KelseA & Colton for making our Moxie experience a wonderful one!

AMAZING

BREYANA WAS AMAZING! She was friendly and attentive. Will definitely request her as my server in the near future! She never let our drinks get low and she was very helpful with any and all questions we had!

Busy and Fun

By ChrisWM-2468 |

Wandered out from our Uptown hotel to find a place to eat. There are a good number of places close by but for relatively early evening Moxie’s was the most buzzing and busy. Nice food, prompt and friendly service, we had a very enjoyable meal.

Horrible service and management

By John C |

Placed a take out order. Told 20 mins to 25 mins. Hour later - still waiting. Manager could care less. Yes, offered 50% off the food ... but did not prioritize our order AT ALL. Left our pick up guy there for 40 minutes, ignoring his pleas for help. Treated him very shabbily. Low class, low budget meat market. Not sure where they get these people. No sense of taking care of the customer. NEVER AGAIN - too many options in Dallas to be treated so poorly.

Okay - but not very accommodating

By Penny751 |

I was in Dallas last week and visited Moxie's three times. We were staying at the Hotel Crescent Court across the courtyard - so it was convenient. The first time, we called to make dinner reservations for 10. We were told they were full and should call a week in advance, but we were able to get reservations for just four. The person we spoke with on the phone was so rude we almost didn't go. When we arrived, we saw a long table that would have accommodated our entire group that was not used the entire time we were there (about two hours). We also saw other tables that were empty and could have been pushed together. I don't understand why a restaurant would pass up a party of 10 when they obviously had the room. That night our service was VERY slow. The waitstaff was very pleasant, but not very quick. It took almost 10 minutes to get our drinks. Also, we asked if we would still be able to get the appetizers on happy hour prices since happy hour was almost over, our waitress said yes. However, when we received the bill, we were charged regular price. When I questioned it, she said when it was entered into the computer, happy hour was over and there was nothing she could do. Really?? Also, the music in the dining area was way too loud. It was hard to have a conversation at the table. We went there a second night for drinks. When we sat at a open table outside (less noise), someone quickly ran up and put a "reserved" sign on it. We moved and watched - again - no one showed for the few hours we were there. When we asked why they did that, the response was to keep "street people" off. We were a well-dressed group. Not quite sure what that was all about. On the third night, we again, tried to sit outside. A gentleman told us we needed to check with the hostess. She told us they were full, but I pointed out the empty picnic sized table in the middle was empty. She reluctantly took us there. I am not quite sure if they are trying to make Moxie's appear that it is an exclusive upscale place you can only visit if you have reservations or an "in," but it was kind of ridiculous. The two nights we sat outside, we were dressed appropriately and ordered appetizers and drinks, so it wasn't like we were sitting there ordering water in our cutoff jeans and t-shirts. Please try to be more welcoming and accommodating. Two items I would highly recommend are the sushi cones and fresh guacamole. Really good. One of the guests I was with had the oven roasted chicken dinner and said it was very good too.

Pleasant First Visit

By Kerrie J |

We ate at Moxie’s on a Friday night before a nearby concert. We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The bar area is large, crowded and loud. However, the dining area is comfortable and we were able to have a nice dinner without feeling crowded or rushed. The mahi mahi and salmon entrees were delicious. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back!

High Energy

By TravelerSJT |

The tuna poke appetizer was outstanding! Fresh, nicely served. Easily shared. The atmosphere is high energy, and very, very loud. Some people like that. Great place to have drinks after work and talk. A lot of groups. Not sure this would be a place for a first date. In all fairness, you can sit outside or around the corner from the main area to have a more quiet area to talk.

Local Favorite

food and service are awesome. the sports bar with several TV's is a very nice touch. we also enjoy the outdoor patio seating.

Great outdoor seating!

By KewlKlep |

Good food, good drinks, great service! Enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the Dallas weather in April.

Good menu!

By 512Okie |

Best French Onion Soup I have had in years. Excellent avacado dip and lettuce wraps were great. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu! Great after work hangout!

Upbeat and hip

By Henry |

First and foremost tip for the ladies: dress up if you come with your significant other ..or a girl-group!! Who would this restaurant be well suited for: mid 20's to 30's, young professionals, single girls, parents dining with their young kids and very few middle aged couples. With that said, the liveliness keeps the mood upbeat and fun. The menu is very innovative and delish. Portions were just right. It's decorated nicely. The bar area has full menu+drinks and big TV's. It is incredibly loud!! For a quieter (not entirely quiet) ask for inside seating or patio seating if weather permits. I would not recommend it for a romantic night if you're trying to whisper in each other's ears. You won't hear a thing! Neither a good choice for long conversation and catching up with a friend. Be your own judge!!

Lunch

By CarnivoreGunter_TX |

Food was ok but the selection sucked. Limited menu at lunch. Place was not busy for a Saturday with all the TVs in the bar and World Cup going on I was surprised. There are a lot better choices to spend your lunch dollars.

After-Work Watering Hole

By Tierney J |

Moxie's has a great bar atmosphere and a good restuarant to-boot. The food is reasonably priced in terms of appetizers and simpler entrees, but gets pricier with proteins. Drink specials for happy hour are worth the trip over to the Crescent.

Vendir year overview w/Five9 Contact Center Solutions

By Tonia G |

Had a Vendor come to town for a yearly discussion. Love this company. They make sure we are up to par on all our business solutions with them. Met at Moxies. I love this place as there us something on the menu for everyone. Sarah provided aweservice and suggestively sold us on drinks and food. Love this place. Great for happy hour, dinner and a cool place to bring adults. Salmon was wonderful and rib eye steak perfect.

OK food, dirty place

By Gabcris80 |

Food and service was decent, but nothing to write home about. However the cleanliness let me down. Went twice to the same toilet in a span of 2 hours and the thing got progressively worse. On the first visit there was used toilet paper on the side of the toilet creating a very unpleasant smell. I thought they might clean it right away. On my second visit the pile had gotten bigger and the smell worse. Completely unacceptable for any place, let alone a restaurant like this. If this is how they maintain the facilities that a customer sees I don’t want to imagine the hygiene standards of the kitchen where I can’t see.

Great birthday celebration

By ttadams |

2nd year celebrating mom’s birthday and the food was great. Had the shrimp and lobster linguini and pecan cheesecake. Will be back.

Cool Vibe

By Donna G |

First time to visit but the rest of group had been several times. Very classy restaurant/bar. Food and cocktails was great. Service staff was attentive.

The place to be

By KatFamCa |

Stopped in to meet friends after work, this place was exceptionally busy, great atmosphere with the after work crowd in the place. not too noisy that you cant have a conversation, but definitely a good vibe. service was grat, only complaint would have been wait time for a table, but we were able to get drinks at bar until table became available. Highly recommend reservations if wanting to get a table around the 5-6pm hour..

Canadian Moxies girls on a road trip!

By Chelsea S |

My friend Jackie & I took a road trip to the States this past week and as Moxies employees we had to make Moxies Dallas a stop on our list! I'm so happy we did! First off, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful with all the different lighting and the cool decor. The menu is very similar to our Canadian location and we stuck with our favourites. Absolutely delicious! But what has us writing this review is the hospitality we received. It's something that we pride ourselves in having and it's nice to see it truly is a company value. Austin took care of us from the get go with a nice smile and warm personality while André and the other managers completed our experience with great conversation, a cool tour of the restaurant and they're overall excitement to meet people from the Canadian side. I'm so happy we decided to do this road trip and will tell everyone whose travelling down this way to come and visit Moxies Dallas!

Elevated bar

By Wendy Z |

My group ate in the bar and found it to be very nice. There are plenty of TV's to catch the game and a variety of drinks/beer. The food was elevated bar food. The 1lb cheese nachos are amazing. They also have tuna poke, sushi cones & fresh guacamole.

Tough guy Texan and tough steak

By Ant C |

I find it hard to understand how this place could go so far out of its way to get it wrong. Where to start? Ok well we ordered four beers which took over 20 mins to arrive. We ordered steak and were asked how we wanted them cooked. Small note pad and a quick check on the order would have helped but maybe the waiting staff like it’s manager were too arrogant to bother. It seemed we had to have a long discussion on what was a clearly explained egg allergy with both waitress and managers and even after this they managed to get the order wrong. It’s clear this place needs a new sheriff

Uptown funk dining.

By Duke1424 |

Party of 8. Running late for our reservation but not a problem and table was ready when we arrived. Good drink selections,Moscow Mules, Old Fashioned, GT(frozen gin/tonic).m, grapefruit monitor. All were very good. 4 appetizers Korean Fried cauliflower(delicious) good flavors, fresh smashed guacamole(good), beef cheese nachos, worked for all 8 people, could use more cheese throughout though. Finally the dry rib tips, omg, we could had 8 orders, so tasty and crispy plus fall off the bone. I would double order for dinner next time. Dinner now, tenderloin filets were excellent and the wine Demi glacé was perfection. Sides were good too. Steak salad was big and filling, steak cut perfectly as well. Full rack baby back ribs were well flavored and fall off when bone, big portion and good sized ribs. Lobster shrimp linguine taste was awesome and really good, disaappointed with only 3 shrimp and half lobster tail on the smaller side. Burger was good and size was nice cooked well slightly undercooked but still really good. Butchers cut steak sandwhich was great! Good portion of steak and was cooked medium rare just right, in the mood for steak but nothing huge this works perfectly. Simple dessert of salted caramel pecan cheesecake was absolutely delicious. Jean was out waitress and was awesome, took care of us and enjoyed her company through the evening. Management was on top of things and checked on us as well. A little pricey for some but the atmosphere and service was terrific. Parking could be an issue if you don't valet. Will definitely be back here!

Best Mother's Day ever!

By Deborah L |

Just loved this place! My son took me here for Mother's day! The food was superb and our waitress, Ashton, was top notch - very attentive and made the entire experience so memorable. Very engaging as well. I had the ahi tuna and my son had the crab cakes benedict. The best ever! Arrived and was given a mimosa immediately. This place is a class act!

Go anywhere else

By Brittani T |

The vibe has changed. Food is no longer good. Our service at the bar was horrible from the tall girl with long dark hair. Talking about customers right in front of them is not the way to act at work. Also, the manager was an imbecile who participated in the bad behavior.

A Gift from our Canadian friends

By #CaboAF |

When I found out Moxie's was opening in Dallas I couldn't wait to get there.... you see I travel to Canada throughout the year and having frequented Moxie's there I knew it would be a hit in the US. Tom G that owns the Dallas Stars and Northland. Service...the one thing I hate about going to a restaurant is poor service and that is not something you will experience here. The staff is always attentive and more than ready to make sure that you are 100% happy with everything. The location of this Moxie's is also perfectly suited to the Dallas vibe...hip, cool and yet chill. The tuna poke bowl as an appetizer is one of my favorites!

Not a Place for People Who Like Craft Beer and a Decent Wait Staff

By tjbjmp |

The food is OK, but if you are a craft beer lover or you want decent, honest service, you should stay away. More than half their beer menu is devoted to macro-brewery lawn mower beers (a version of Bud and Bud light from three different brewers). And they seem to be always out of the few craft beers they do offer. In my two visits to the restaurant (I should have learned), they have been out of both of the craft beers I ordered. This suggests they don't care much about craft beer drinkers. On the second visit, the server explained that they were out of the beers I ordered because they were very popular (it was Saturday afternoon). Apparently, that's not a signal to owners to adjust the beer menu and/or the order quantities. And when I expressed my disappointment that they were out of the only two beers I found appealing, the server sneakily jammed a 20% tip into the pre-tip total on my bill for a party of three on her own without mentioning it. It was only by luck I noticed and did not add another 20% tip as I was planning to do. Not that the server deserved it as we were ignored for long periods of time in a near empty restaurant while the server chatted it up with the other servers. So if you do go, pay close attention to your bill to avoid being cheated by this sneaky practice.

Nice Atmosphere, ,drinks and food

By getupradio |

Enjoyable atmosphere with good drinks (not watered down) and good food. Quick genuine customer service. You can enjoy dining inside or outside. There is self parking (5 dollars flat rate) or valet at 8 dollars with 3 dollars increase every hour. Happy hour monday to friday 3pm to 6pm. Great for business meetings, special occassions and dating. Drimks and food average 9.00 to 14.00 dollars. Limited parking. Very crowded on weekends. I highly suggest coming here! ENJOY!!!

Moxies Dallas, Nice location for eating outside but disappointing food.

By ian s |

Lovely location for eating out and reasonable service also. However the food was not as I expected; small portions and the pitchers of cocktails were weak. We all had fish Tacos in which the fish was hard to find; just plenty of grated veg. on top.

Nice patio dinner

By AirCanuck |

Surprised to see a (Canadian) Moxie's in Dallas, it was next to our hotel so we had to check it out. Quickly seated on the patio, my kids (they were the only kids there - mainly an after-work crowd) ordered a chicken Caesar salad and the soup, salad and bread combo. I had the chicken tacos with a side Caesar. Efficient, attentive service, free refills on the kids' sodas. Salads were fresh and crisp, tacos quite good but not food truck good, they have a high standard to aspire to in Texas. Wine ($23 for a 9 Oz Willamette Valley pinot noir) was pricey but very nice. Not really a place designed for kids, but they enjoyed it and weren't a distraction for other parties. Patio was noisy from the street traffic, patio fans and planes overhead, but it was worth getting out of air-conditioning as the evening air was cool enough.

Too Loud and Bad Food, but Attentive Service

By John R |

Met a friend for drinks on Thursday, July 6th. The wine was good as was my friends Old Fashioned, but the area around the bar is very loud (it was raining, so everyone had come inside) and the Fish Tacos, which both of us ordered, were dry and basically tasteless. The individual ingredients, on their own, seemed fine, but there was no sauce to meld the ingredients into a tasty dish. The young woman next to me ordered the Fish Tacos, but asked that beef be substituted. She said her tacos were terrible - that the beef tasted like dried out mutton. Did I mention that the wait staff was attentive?

Good Energy & Good Food

By Shane B |

Lots of Sports on the Tv’s, and a fairly broad menu. I enjoyed the calamari, it wasn’t too fried and the accompanying dipping sauces were good as well. Great place to people watch!!

Hard to Write this Review but Feedback is the only way to improve

By Alex A |

I wanted to pass along my experience at Moxies as I have been a long time customer and supporter. First off I am not the type of person that leaves reviews but i wanted to pass along the truly terrible customer service i received from Lisa Freeman i believe she is new to the company. The way that my friends and I were spoken to, was not exactly what was said but general demeanor and tone. You will always hear the saying delivery is everything and we were deeply disappointed in how we were made to feel. Like our money was not good enough or that we didn't look like the usual uptown crescent crowd. The worst thing you ever want to feel is lesser than someone, my friends and I all work very hard and are not night club owners or ceo's of a company we are all in the hospitality industry also. I just wanted to pass along the feedback she seemed new so i will give her the benefit of the doubt but feedback is so important especially at your price point and location and general clientele.

GREAT FOOD MEDIOCRE SERVICE!

By Real Life Moments |

I had the chili mango chicken on a bed of cous cous! I highly recommend this dish if you are into sweet & savory kinds of dishes. It was soooo DELISH! Overall all it’s a pretty busy environment at moxies. The waiters aren’t very informative about the menu for first timers. They seem very lazy and “Blah”... They kind of just left us hanging on the menu when we were inquiring about certain things. The menu has quite a bit of options to make everyone happy! Just BEWARE of the basic waiters...if you’re a stickler for service just be prepared. I’d definitely like to try another things on the menu in the near future... but perhaps for “TO GO”

Love the ambiance

By Earnestine Ransom |

Very trendy, great Dallas location, and has great ambiance. Love the smoked mezcal! Great place to hang out on the patio and people watch.

Good food and great vibe

By adalbert3 |

This place has good bar food and it also has very good traditional entrees. Our Chipotle Mango Chicken and Chicken Madeira Rigatoni were definitely dishes that we would order again. Our server was a great guy---full of energy, very personable and anxious to please. The place is always buzzing---it has an upbeat atmosphere and is an ideal place to watch a game. In addition, it is one of the few places in that part of town that is open late for food. Check out my photos for more details.

Excellent place for a night out

By CPlumlee |

A group of friends went after work for a quick drink and discovered an excellent restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and upscale with a fun cool vibe. The menu is extensive and it was hard to chose from so many wonderful items. The food presentation was top quality and the taste amazing. I can not wait to return.

Great Experience

Great staff, atmosphere and food!! One of the best places in Dallas. The dry ribs are amazing. We will be back every trip to Dallas.

Excellent atmosphere

The service was amazing and served with a smile! Food was excellent and served as ordered even with special requests. Atmosphere was vibrant! Basketball finals game & golf tournament were on the TVs Highly recommend dining here. It’s noisy don’t don’t expect a quiet meal.

Great atmosphere. Fabulous drinks and all our appetizers were outstanding!! The staff was accommodating and very helpful.

Very solid food, not a value play

By J Person |

I ate here for a business lunch. The Crescent location is very nice (you can self-park for free with validation or there is a valet out front, although the valet can be crowded at mealtimes). The finish out is okay as well--we ate at a four top tall boy. The server was quick to the table and efficient with our orders. They constantly refilled our drinks. The food came out with reasonable quickness as well. I really wanted to try the good looking apps: poutine, as well as fried cauliflower. However, we stuck to main courses. The salads are uniformly very good. I had the chicken caesar--excellent dressing, moist chicken, decent sized. When I asked for additional dressing, it came quickly. My colleagues had mostly salads, which also looked good. One had the burger, which came with a can of crispy french fries. The burger was nicely executed.

1st Time

By CarnivoreGunter_TX |

Checked into the Crescent and decided to try it. I knew it was owned by the guy that also owns the Dallas Star's. We sat in the dining room and bar seemed to be pretty loud. Lot's of "Pretty People" in no hurry to be anywhere so the service was a little slow. It may just be me but if the sun is up I'm ready to get in, get feed, and get out. I'm not there for a dining experience. The food was good and I will go back I will just be ready to order my meal when they come to take our drink order

Moxie's Dallas is Outstanding!

By Jamie S |

We visited with a group of hockey parents and hockey players (ages 5-11). The atmosphere is awesome for people of all ages. The staff is friendly, attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. I've been introduced to Poutine, Molson Canadian beer and I am in love! Between the various families, we had a variety of food and everything looked, smelled and tasted OUTSTANDING! Highly recommend Moxie's Dallas! We will definitely be back!

Great Upscale Establishment

By k4mconsulting |

This was our first time here - we will most certainly be back! Starting from the moment a manager opened the door for us and we entered this vibrant sophisticated restaurant and bar. Service was exceptional and every staff member was extraordinarily pleasant and helpful. We highly recommend the sushi cones and the vegetarian lettuce wraps. Really a great place to unwind.

Where to be seen

By Hillary A |

This is such an interesting place. They’ve created a place that is upscale and trendy, yet somehow still comfortable. We went on a busy Friday night and it is apparent that it’s where people want to be seen and look good. But overall the environment and menu make you remember to have fun and enjoy yourself. For the quality of food you receive, the prices were not over the top. We started the night with their nachos. They were incredibly large and so delicious. Three of us got one of their steak options and everyone raved. I would definitely go back next time I’m in town.

Birthday Dinner

By EnigmaticTraveler |

The 1st thing I must say about this place is the customer service is exceptional! I was very impressed with the service we recieved from the time of booking the reservation to exiting the building after enjoying our meal. Everyone that we encountered was always pleasent, polite, friendly & smiling. Never showing any sign of annoyance with any question or request. The food came out in a timily manner. We started of dinner with three apps: poutine, chicken wings & korean fried cauliflower. All three were scrumptious, however I do wish the poutine had a bit more gravy & a more even mixing of the cheese curds (it taste good overall). I would order all three again. For the main course my husband had the french onion soup and a burger, A+ rating from him. I enjoyed the french onion as well. The broth had a well balance taste, onions and cheese was perfect too. Other entrees enjoyed were: the Ahi tuna poki in a jar, the ribs, a pasta & another I seemed to of forgotten what one of our dinner guest ordered. Everyone was pleased with their meals. Another bonus was the resturant was closing early that evening for a christmas party and never once complained that we didnt leave till 9:30pm. I look forward to returning and trying some more menu items and hopefully dessert this time too. Four stars due to being asked the day of to come in 30min earlier than the reservation time & knowing it was a birthday celebration but not offering desert when picking up dinner plates. The portions of the cauliflower and wings were smaller than expected. Other than that it was a perfect dinner night out.

Great atmosphere

Food is very good and atmosphere is wonderful. If you are looking for a place to watch any sporting event, this is it ! Service is good.

WOW !- Best Food & Staff on The Block

By ralphw447 |

When you are on the same block as is the Capital Grille & Trulucks you better bring your A game and Moxie's delivers. This place is awesome. The fish taco's just might be the best I ever had. The Tuna poke was devine. Last but not least is the beef. I simply could not believe how much better the steaks were than either of its competitors and for 20% less money. The staff is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are at a great party.

Good bar scene, need to try the food again

By jrg285 |

Overall, I liked Moxie's. I was told that the space Moxie's is in has struggled to keep a bar or restaurant in business and I'll be clear in saying that Moxie's was very busy the two times I went. I went on a Saturday night and watched college football. They have ample seating and a ton of TVs. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. A lot of people cleared out after football but then more of the nightclub demographic came. I found it interesting that two very different demographics inhabited the same space. I came back for lunch two days later and ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was bland and lacking flavor, even though it was topped with coleslaw. There were some other intriguing options on the menu, so I'd definitely come back and try something else. If some of the other food options are better, I'd move my rating to 4 stars.

Thanks Morgan for being so amazing

By AndrewJHillmanDallas |

Restaurant review: Gratitude to Morgan at Moxie's for providing outstanding service to my colleagues and clients, who commend your exceptional work.

Good upscale eatery

By orlandofoodlover18 |

The food was very good overall. Having to pay for parking was definitely a pain. Prices were what you'd expect at a place like this. The only downside was the table side guac. Really had no flavor at all.

Great Happy Hour

By Alison Y |

Every time I go to Dallas I go to Moxies. The food is great as well as the staff. It's a great place to watch sporting events and the outside seating is perfect on nice weather days.

Exquisite

By E.A2017 |

This was my first time at Moxie's and I loved everything, from the outdoor Christmas decoration, to the moment I walked in and I was welcome with a smile. The waiter was fabulous, very helpful explaining the menu and he gave some recommendations. I tried the fish tacos and they were very tasty and the portions was generous. Their desserts are amazing, and they have a sample plate to try all the desserts in case you have a difficult time deciding which one you want. Definitely a place I would go back.

Go with the loaded Hamburger

By LParnell |

The loaded hamburger was yummy. The sweet potato fries were yummy too.Have a seat outside - good way to people watch while you eat. The red sangria was good too. Have the dip appetizer with salsa, goat cheese and mushrooms and served with chips- it was the best - forgot the name of the dip.

Beautiful and delicious!

By TheFunFoodie |

We ate here really late at night and it was amazing! The lights on the trees outside are beautiful. The service was great. Food was wonderful! Thank you Moxie’s for a great dinner.

Great food and service

By 2014ksmith |

First our survey was wonderful. The place was packed and she treated our table like we were the only ones there. Refills, new drinks extra sauce what ever we needed. Food was delicious, made fresh and tasted amazing. Love this place

Great Soup!!!

By Robert greer |

The onion soup was really good and hearty for a cold winter day. The service was impeccable and I felt catered too the entire time. The difference was made by the female bartender raven! I willl be back to hang out again

Good place for lunch

By Pawnie52 |

Light & airy. Nice wait staff. I had a nice caesar salad and my luncheon partner had a nice hamburger w/fries.

Best Calamari I ever had

By Su W |

Its calamari is not deeply fried as most restaurants do. So, the texture of it is tender, juicy not chewy. Its blackened mahi mahi is very tasty too.

Wonderful Spot in Uptown

By wkiepura |

Great experience at Moxie's - we went during a Cowboy's game and the whole bar area was buzzing. There was a small wait for a table if you wanted to see the game. Because we came for food we were seated immedately in another part of the restaurant. I ordered the chicken rigatoni, my friend got the lettuce burger and both of us were impressed by the speed of the waitservice and attention. The food was delivered quickly and was stellar. They have a large patio as well - mostly a corporate, mid-twenties crowd. More diverse age groups in the restaurant portion. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere and awesome food!

By Dream492517 |

I've been to Moxie's several times and it never disappoints! Wide variety of menu choices to please everyone's taste and yummy drinks. I've been there with girlfriends and with other couples. We all agree that it's a fun and classy place without feeling too stuffy. It's a great restaurant to take a date, go with a group of friends or enjoy a nice dinner with your family. The lounge has a fun and energetic atmosphere. We've also walked there after a concert at the American Airlines Center when we weren't ready to end our night! I highly recommend Moxie's!

Great Experience

By Raine Z |

I am from Canada and while in Dallas I stopped by Moxies hoping to sit at the bar. It was quite packed so I ended up just getting some take out. The manager Tiffany was so friendly, present, and accommodating she even took care of the tea I had while I sat to wait for my take out. The food was also packaged great and tasted great. Highly recommend based off this service!

Personal Attention for Gluten and Dairy Free Dinner

By Trimom10 |

My server, Taylor, took extra time to make sure the salmon dinner I ordered was gluten and dairy free. She was welcoming and attentive also. The restaurant had a good vibe and energy about it, however, it wasn't too busy and loud that you couldn't enjoy your meal. I want to be sure to visit Moxie's again.

Great date night in uptown!

By Chad C |

Moxie’s was everything I wanted it to be. Modern, exciting atmosphere, inventive food and the dj tonight was amazing.

Great Location and Drinks

By Jill R |

I enjoyed this place, but had to re-order dishes. They were awesome about re-dos and the food did come out perfect afterward! Very good wines and cocktails and the service was fantastic.

Cool spot

By Deja Vu |

Great place to meet up with friends for drinks. Great setup, bars with TVs , nice looking waitress and staffs. Always a lively place, drinks was decent and food was decent. Services was decent. You tend to bump into some celebrity here. It gets pack on the weekend.

Didn’t Get To Eat

By Christopher H |

I will preface this by saying it was a Saturday evening and I am aware this is a very busy time to dine out. I went here with friends and we put our name down on the wait list. I was a little confused because I saw a lot of empty tables. The aesthetic there is very nice and the bar is a good size. My Negroni was delicious but it took a long time to get it. It was very, very loud in the restaurant. After about an hour and a half, we never got the text about a table being ready so we just left. I would probably return on a weekday when it isn’t so busy, but never again on a Saturday night.

Thriving place

By tomellis6680 |

We stayed at the Ritz and searched for decent causal food nearby. This pace came up and we booked successfully on OpenTable. When we arrived, the place was buzzing, really cool vibe and thriving atmosphere. We had our 6 year old with us, so they kindly provided the kids menu which was great. We ordered Ribs (which were so large and tender, some of the best I've had) French Dip sandwich which was also very very good.....although it had a GF bun upon request. They messed up the order for my daughter.....but left the other dish on the table and bought another correct dish, which I thought was great. They also comped the kids meal for the mistake without asking. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. What else does anyone want!! Go if you're in Dallas, but book.

Food was good. Service and Noise, not great.

By Chef29Brix |

Made a reservation for a group. Was called the day of the reservation and asked if they could seat us in the bar. I said OK. When we got there... they wanted to seat our large group at a community table with other people already there. We were there for a business dinner. Not good. It did get sorted out but it was noisy and the service was lacking.

Good food

By Luca B |

Not first time here. I like the service & the food. Really enjoy the nice atmosphere. Don t miss the chimichurri steak, it s really tasty.

Great drinks, average calamari

By Runtoseetheworld |

I really enjoyed the cocktail selection! The calamari was a little greasy for my tasting. Definitely keen to come here again, the outside area was great.

Good Vibes and Sights

By palmster |

In town for the NFL Draft and I was sad to see many local bars along McKinney were dead. Guess students were studying for finals and the rest of the city was in Arlington. Everyone else left in the big D was at Moxies! New with a great vibe in a central uptown location. Interesting good looking Dallas crowd.

50% on Wednesday wines

By Daniel V |

The service and price of this place is quite commensurate. My partner ordered the weekly restaurant festival menu and it was really well served and with several options. All dishes are large and on Wednesdays offer 50% off bottles of wine.

The restaurant Chef should be fired for malpractice

By McDaniel H |

I would not recommend this location restaurant. They made the food look pretty to camouflage other failures in the kitchen. I was invited to this location by a friend of mine. We all showed up here to grab an early dinner. We found a parking adjacent to the building. Our friends parked in the sub structure parking lot. We met up at the front door and the hostess quickly seated us inside the dining room area. After watering drinks, we decided on our main entrees. We got the Chipotle Chicken and the salmon bowl salad. The presentation of all of the entrees was very nice. The chicken on the other hand was dry and rubbery while trying to cut into it and eat it. Anytime chicken is dry and rubbery indicates that the cooking time and temperature was incorrect. The chicken was burned on the ends and a few surfaces on both entrees. This was an expensive meal that was treated like a fast food restaurant piece of chicken that was not worth the asking price for what is supposed to be an upscale dining experience. The salmon was just as bad... We came in here on a Saturday night just before dinner, so apparently the restaurant chef doesn't come on duty until later. If this dinner was served by the restaurant chef, he should be fired for malpractice.

Beautiful Gem!!

By Kay Elizabeth |

Last month I took a road trip to Dallas for the Ty Dolla Sign concert. After leaving a restaurant for brunch, we stumbled upon Moxie’s while looking for a bar to have a couple drinks. What a wonderful gem this place was! There is an outside bar that faces a street, and the scenery is to die for. The picture I snapped does not do it any justice. We happened to FaceTime a friend while sitting at the bar and they thought we were in Miami!! The staff was very lovely, and our bartender kept us entertained and was very knowledgeable about the drinks and aspects of the cuisine. Next time I’m in Dallas I’ll definitely be returning!

Great food atmosphere awful

By belledavis1 |

The concept and the food is great BUT large parties of overly rowdy and loud people dominate and ruin the atmosphere.

Love, Love, Love This Restaurant!

By Lilybelles J |

Wonderful ambiance, delicious food beautifully presented.... who could ask for more? I had the prime new york steak with the largest baked stuffed potato I have ever seen, while my daughter enjoyed the sushi cones and tuna poke. If you're in Dallas you must visit Moxies.

Awesome!!

By Navigate2289 |

Friends kept telling me about Moxie's at the Crescent. I have now been 3 times in the last month and have loved everything about it. Atmosphere, service, food, drinks, and people watching are all awesome....keep up the good work! Wish we had one a little further north.

Trendy Sports Bar with good food

By MSC73 |

This is a loud, trendy restaurant with more televisions/sports games than I've ever seen. Service was good, and the food was very good. Our outing was an all-adult family dinner for a birthday. Nice wine/beer/cocktail list. The restaurant accommodated a food allergy at our table, which we really appreciated. It gets crowded for dinner and weekends, so plan ahead.

Nice place, Very slow service

By richrod212 |

I went on a Saturday night. After having Dinner at Del Friscos , we were referred to this place for drinks. Very nice looking and trendy place however, it was extremely crowded. We were a group of 6 so it took a very long time for us to finally get some seats together. Once we were sitting, the bar was about 3 rows deep of people waiting to order drinks. We decided to wait for the waitress. This took a very long time and when she finally took our order she came back 15 minutes later to tell s that she dropped our drinks and is waiting for them to get refilled. We made the best of it. if it wasn't so crowded we would've definitely enjoyed this place. Maybe next time.

Awesome place !

By 'DTK'UItraveler |

Great food, great service! Location is good in Uptown and place is relaxing even when busy it is pretty spread out and you have your space. Pretty cool place for sure

Fun

By bayliesmith12 |

The atmosphere was nice, we sat in the bar area so it was loud. Drinks were great and the food was good.

Catch up Friends Dinner

By Tricia B |

Had a nice glass of wine and appetizers. Guacamole and Lettuce Wraps both were great but the lettuce wraps won me over! Chilled crisp lettuce leaves and the most delicious filling.whennyou don’t want a heavy meal it’s just perfect. I ate 4 still had enough filling for a couple more but did take to go as we were heading to another venue for a concert . I woke up the next morning waiting those last two 😥! Bar area is really loud but the resturant is great, inside or outside seating. Great uptown location -great after work place.

Great food

By Derek Z |

Great food!! Not going to lie it was a little hard to find as our gps didn't know where to take us. When our appetizer came out we asked for ranch to dip with. The person forgot to bring it out to us. We went ahead and finished the appetizer as we decided it was no big deal. After we got our main course the gentlemen came back apologized and said he was going to take care of the appetizer so we didn't have to pay. It wasn't necessary for him to do this but was very very nice of them! With that being said they are an A+ in my book for the excellent customer service and great tasting food!! We were on vacation and will tell people to go here and will go back next time we are in the area! Thanks for a great experience!!

Very hip place, great atmosphere, food and service

By mshbnyehud |

Reservation was honored on time, as the restaurant side had some empty tables when we walked in. The bar area, on the other hand, is very busy and high level of sound. Training a new server meant we enjoyed having double the normal service! All was well. We ordered two martini's perfectly executed. Instead of two entrees, we opted to split two appetizers, and for us, the portion sizes were perfect. The Chicken Cashew Lettuce Wraps were substantial with crisp cold iceberg lettuce. Loved the spicy remoulade sauce which accompanied the otherwise very tasty chicken chunks. Fabulous! We also ordered the Tuna Sushi Stack, a beautiful concoction, layered on top of sticky white rice, and served with very light prawn crackers. Really tasty! The portions were such that we were filled up and skipped dessert. Loved the overall experience and will return for sure! BEWARE: Valet parking is quite expensive. With reasonable tip, it cost $20!

Overpriced and overrated

By T22lily |

My experience was not a good one. I ordered a $20 burger and It was subpar. The sweet potato fries were cold and I didn’t even eat them after paying the up charge for them. Also I asked if I could “substitute” grilled onions for the grilled mushrooms and she said sure, yet charged me another up charge for the chunky barely grilled, hard onions that I had to pick out of my burger. I definitely won’t come back.

Great Management - ALLERGY FRIENDLY

By MatrixFour |

Moxies was the first place we ate at in Dallas. What a great start. As soon as management heard about allergies, they came to the table. They checked all the ingredients in the dishes we wanted, and came back with alternatives if there was an issue. The food tasted great, and we had a great time.

Great Lunch in Uptown

By osulaw75 |

Ate here for the first time earlier this week. The restaurant was fairly busy for lunch and it is easy to see why. My dining partner had the ahi tuna salad and it was easy to see that the tuna was cooked perfectly. He was quite pleased with his choice. I had the blackened chicken burger and really enjoyed it. I chose to substitute and got sweet potato vs. regular fries and really enjoyed them. The creamy sauce served with the fries was very tasty. Service was good, but not outstanding. After getting tea and realizing that there was no sweetener on the table, it took a short while to get the attention of the waitperson to provide the same. Likewise, after clearing the table of plates and silverware from our meal, our waitperson disappeared after filling our glasses with tea. Unfortunately, the spoons to mix in the sweetener were gone. I decided to give up and mix it by swirling the tea in the glass. Other than these minor hiccups, this is a very cool place with good food. If the dinner matches lunch, would be a great place in the evening also.

Drinks at Moxie’s!

By Daniel Albrecht |

My wife and I along with another couple came to Moxie’s for drinks after dinner. Jas was our server and did a phenomenal job. She was prompt with our order and was very attentive. This is the first time I’ve been to this place and I’ll say, the hospitality and vibe is one to experience! We plan on returning!

Delish!

By Michelle G |

Was excited to have a new lunch option for uptown--took a couple clients here and they loved the food and atmosphere. I liked it so much I took the husband back to enjoy dinner before a Stars game! Everything on the menu is delicious!

Moxies executes

By Raj M |

I’m a jaded business traveler. When I had to go to Dallas, I wasn’t all that excited. But honestly after having worked multiple 14 hour days in the Crescent area Moxies was truly good. Good service. Good food and drink. So much so that I had to write this review, which I rarely do. Sports bar atmosphere, executed perfectly with food and service. Thank you Moxies.

Always great!

By ksr96 |

Great food and just a fun atmosphere. Valet parking makes it an easy in and out and the customer service is very good. Blackened Chicken sand which is killer....

Quintessential Dallas

By C B |

Food good, but overpriced for what it is. Service attentive and pleasant, although the phrase "uncanny valley" occurred to me. !!! Pleasant space. All in all, though, this is primarily a place for "beautiful people" to preen and show off their gold cards. As such, it's quintessentially Dallas, and thus disappointing.

Fun night out

By Don Helms |

I have been to this chain all over Canada. First one in the USA. I must say the one in Dallas is the best! Had great food. The steak is better than at some of the steak houses I have eaten at in Texas. A must try!

Had a worst experience 😪

By Mani V |

This place is not good as their ambiance looks, the servers are very irresponsible and food was not that great both with quality and quantity, esp their vegetarian menu is total flop, please think twice before you visit. We ended up eating back at home after going there, very highly priced and definitely not worth it!!

Another Moxie’s visit!

By Daniel Albrecht |

A group of us are back in Dallas and visited Moxie’s again. We didn’t eat dinner here, just had drinks after. The nightlife here is busy but the staff is quick and attentive. This place never disappoints! 10/10 folks!

Happy hour hero

By Patrice N |

Moxie's is the best place for happy hour in uptown. The patio is gorgeous and gives you a great view of McKinney ave. The atmosphere is always great and super fun. They have $8 drinks and bites during happy hour! I recommend the Paloma pitcher if you stay past happy hour try their highly sought after biryani rub wings. The service is also AMAZING never an issue.

Delightful lunch with my family.

By Ruth A |

I was on vacation visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Dallas. They took me to lunch at Moxie's and we were all very happy with our meals. I got a Cesar salad and was surprised when each element of the salad was separate on top of a slice of lettuce instead of mixed together. No worries, however, because the piece of salmon on top (under 2 slices of bacon) was as large as the portion my sister got with her salmon meal. We ate in the dining room but there is a huge bar area with hightop tables for dining too. The patio looked inviting but it was too chilly that day. Complimentary valet parking is available if you don't want to find parking down the street but tipping the driver would be appropriate. The staff were friendly and efficient. It did get crowded and loud by noon. It appeared to be a favorite of the young executives working in the area. This is worth the visit for the fine cuisine.

Best sports bar outside downtown

By Ravi |

Great sports bar, very welcoming especially to tourists the staff the food the beer all top drawer and a very upmarket feel to the place. Look forward to coming back nxt yr!

Great food!

By avicks1 |

Moxie's is a hidden gem of the Crescent Hotel surrounded by so many other fabulous restaurants. I ate the Beef Vindaloo which is Indian inspired and my date had the Chipotle Mango Chicken which was also delicious! The restaurant has a dining area, a bar, and outside seating to choose from. The location is perfect with ample parking and great wait staff. The only downside is that there are only two unisex restrooms in the relatively large establishment. Nonetheless, this is a must visit if in the area! Enjoy

Nice place

By tmiller461 |

Went on a Tuesday night for dinner. The bar was full of folks after work. Good place to see downtown crowd. Had dinner. The red Thai curry bowl was very good. My niece had the bunless burger and sweet potato fries. All was good.

Great bar and restaurant in hip Uptown area of Dallas, TX

By Rhett L |

The outdoor patio is a great place to meet friends or happy hour with coworkers near downtown Dallas, TX. Great craft cocktails and beer menus. Inside is very large for big groups and you can watch the game while getting some good food and drinks.

Nice Experience

By Nikki |

Went to celebrate my 1 year anniversary. The atmosphere is nice, its kind of like an upscale sports bar. The food was okay, I had the Salmon Avocado Cob Salad, not sure if the bacon was smoked or burnt but that part wasn't edible and the sun dried tomato dressing was very acidic, the presentation was gorgeous though. I also had the Yuzu Mojito and it was great.

Good food

By wildfine |

Moxie’s is a energetic bar/restaurant in downtown Dallas. We had reservations and were seated quickly on the restaurant side, which was a little quieter. Food was good and came out quickly. We were rushed a bit at the end and had to ask for dessert after the waiter brought the check. The sticky toffee pudding was one of the reason I went to the restaurant. There were people literally waiting to take our dish away as soon as we took the last bite. They wanted our table as they had a large group come in, I just wanted to finish my meal that I had flown into town to have with my son. Again, the food was good, just very rushed out at the end.

Recent dinner with work colleagues

By Daniel B |

Outstanding restaurant. Service was outstanding, food selection was great and food quality was outstanding. I highly recommend. A very trendy spot. It is a bit noisy at night but we could hold a conversation without having to scream.

Great atmosphere and people watching!

By JD42017 |

Ate here on a recent business trip. A convenient location near several hotels in Uptown. Food was good - and a lot of it. Best part of the visit was the atmosphere and people watching. On Thursday night the place was packed and loud. Lots of young beautiful people at the bar.
