This place is awesome, I may be a little biased because Dale Murphy is my favorite player but who wouldn’t want great food and the chance to meet a baseball legend

I called three times to see how busy they were and each time they answered the phone and hung it right back up without a word. I knew then that they did not want to be bothered, but my son really wanted to try this restaurant. I drove 30 minutes to the restaurant to what looked like a restaurant that was not that busy. We waited for approximately 10 minutes to be seated without a word said to us. It was as if we were invisible. There was another party in front of us that looked like they had been waiting awhile and were also being ignored. Finally we walked out and went to Arby’s which had excellent customer service compared to this place. Can not say how the food was because we never got a menu, but I highly recommend you go across the street to one of the several sports bars at the Battery. Much better service and they actually act like they want to run a restaurant.

My wife noticed this online and it sounded great. Since Dale Murphy was one of my favorite all time baseball players, I thought it would be neat to visit. We met our son and his family there for lunch. We were promptly seated and waited on. The menu offered a very good selection. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, as were the other staff members. Our food was great! Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We all said it was one of the best meals we had while in Atlanta. But it got even better. Dale was in town and dropped in to visit. He visited with people, took photos and signed autographs. One of the friendliest and down to earth people you will ever meet. This made for a great and memorable experience. We will return to eat at Murph's anytime we are in Atlanta.

The restaurant does not look like much sitting an a not so busy mail, but everything about it was perfect. The staff, service and food were excellent. Highly recommend. Easy access from the Battery and the Rennasiance Hotel.

I wasn’t sure how this would turn out because it’s super casual and no one greeted us. In fact, it took a while for someone to come over and seat us. They were very busy and you could tell these waiters work their butts off. We ordered a burger (no bun -gf), sweet potato fries, a philly sandwich and the house-made chips. Everything was delicious housemade and very fresh. I was able to eat the sweet potato fries with no issue (yummy!) which tells me they change their oil frequently. Lots of families were here and they were replaying the Braves game from the night before, which was fun. Great place! Nice job Murph!

Burgers and wings were absolutely AMAZING. I would recommend the bourbon burger. It was so good. Definitely would come back to the place.

Stopped in for dinner with my teenage son, location was close to our hotel. The restaurant was not too crowded, thankfully because there was only one server. Poor thing was working her tail off. She was very attentive. I had the Pot Roast Sandwich which was very flavorful and the fries were excellent. My son had the wings and really enjoyed them. We left having a satisfied meal.

We went to this place as it was close to our hotel in the Galleria. It was not crowded at all. Our waiter was the bartender and he was great, I can't remember his name. He told us several items to try. A really nice guy, held the door for us as we had a baby carrier in tow! We had the fried cheese appetizer with the comeback sauce and enjoyed it. I had the peanut butter burger (by recommendation) and really enjoyed it! Beef, bacon, and peanut butter, I mean c'mon! My wife had the Texas Heat burger with jalapeños and fried onions and loved it. Cold beer, great food, good times.

Excellent sweet potato fries and Philly cheesesteak. Prices are reasonable. Nice service. A sports bar in fair part.

Ate here for dinner recently while attending a convention at the nearby hotel that is indirectly connected to this establishment. The food is typical sports bar food, warm but not hot, fresh, but not great. No problem getting a table, however the service was lackluster. Ok if in the area, but not worth going out of the way for.

We were visiting from WA State. Our son, a Dale Murphy fan just had to bring us there. Thank goodness he did. We vote for the peanut butter hamburger too. Tasty, unique flavor. The bun was fabulous. A bit out of the way from the ballpark, a very long walk, but we went on a non game day and parked for free right out front.

I’ve eaten at Murph’s during the same convention that I attend yearly. This year? 15 minutes after being seated. No menu. 20 minutes after being seated. No water. 22 minutes after being seated. No acknowledgement. No return.

As childhood fans of Dale Murphy, we were very excited to visit Murph's. Went for lunch on a weekday with a party of 8 (adults and children), and we were seated immediately. Beautiful theming and extremely friendly staff! We ordered the cheese curds appetizer, which was very enjoyable. Everyone in our party loved their food. I went out on a limb and ordered the peanut butter/bacon burger, which was actually awesome! A perfect flavor combo, if you like peanut butter and bacon...;) The buns are amazing, very fluffy and tasty. My mother loved the sweet potato fries, and my kids gave the hot wings two thumbs up. I highly recommend the root beer as well. We ordered ice cream for the kids for dessert in keepsake Braves helmets.. nice mementos. We all agree that we want to go back again very soon (And maybe try a deep fried Twinkie!)

Dale Murphy was my favorite Braves player growing up, so I was already fired up about going to his restaurant for a late lunch before attending my first game at Sun Trust Park. Even with such high expectations, my experience at Murph's still managed to exceed them. My wife and kids got me tickets to the game against the Mets on April 21 as a birthday present and to my surprise, they'd invited about 20 other family members and friends to help me celebrate the big 6-0. It was a great experience, especially because of the way the staff at Murph's treated us. They had a section of the restaurant all set up for us and two waitresses to take care of the group. They got every order right and served us amazingly fast given the chaos of our party. I was a little disappointed that Murph wasn't there (he had to go out of town that weekend), but it didn't last long. That's because Chuck, the restaurant manager, came over and gave me an autographed 1983 Dale Murphy baseball card. Chuck said that Murph felt bad that he couldn't be there for my big event, so he signed the card for me as a present. What a thrill!!! As for the food, it was just as good as the atmosphere. I had the Beef Tenderloin wrap that was incredible, especially when dipped in the gravy Chuck said was homemade. The same can be said for the creamy potato salad that came with the sandwich. My wife had the mini crab kickers and said they were very tasty too, which a lot of crab and not much filler. The only other food I sampled was the Pot Roast Wet Fries that another member of our party had and they tasted as good as they looked. Which was amazing. Everyone else that I talked to said they enjoyed the food, the staff and especially all the old Braves pictures and memorabilia that decorate the spacious dining room and bar area. I live in North Carolina and don't get to many Braves games anymore -- I grew up in the Atlanta area -- but every time I do from now on, a pregame meal at Murph's will become part of our family tradition. Hopefully one of these times, I'll get to see Dale and thank him for helping to make my 60th birthday so special! He might not be in the Hall of Fame (yet) ... but his restaurant definitely provides a Hall of Fame experience!

Great, friendly staff. Excellent food. TVs everywhere. Good vibe for families or anyone regardless of Braves game. Well done.

We were at an event at the Cobb Galleria and ordered takeout. Philly Cheese Steak/Sweet Potato Fries & Turkey Melt/Fried Okra. Both were the best we've had in a very long time! Already thinking of what we'll order tomorrow for lunch!

Stopped in for a bite after the Braves day game. Have walked by a dozen times but always ate at the battery instead. Place wasn’t crowded but the food was great. Had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and sweet potato fries. GF had a buffalo chicken salad. Would recommend both. Even saw Dale Murphy for a few minutes before he left the restaurant.

Ate here while attending a convention in the Cobb Center. It was nice to have real food nearby and a place to get out of the chaos of a convention. Our service was excellent and the philly cheese steak sandwich was delicious. The service was quick and polite will definitely be back if I attend another convention here.

We had a nice lunch before a show. My crab wrap was delicious. The fried bow tie pasta was an unusual treat that I liked alot.

We were attending a concert at the stadium. The Battery was overly crowded so we walked over for burger. All the food was good and service was good.

Good location. Typical bar food but with great memorabilia on the walls. The atmosphere was good, not great. Friendly wait staff and prompt service.

The atmosphere is quite awesome, especially if you're a baseball fan of a certain age. Plenty of TV's, memorabilia, and photo ops.The service was fast and friendly. The one thing that came as a bit of a pleasant surprise was the quality and quantity of the food. Outstanding! Mushroom Swiss burger for me was large and tasty. The wife got the Black and Bleu salad, loaded with tasty steak and more than she could finish. My son got the chicken fingers & fries and gave it 2 thumbs up. Not to state the obvious here but Murphs really tied in nicely with our Reds/Braves game experience.

I ate there twice while staying at the adjacent Renaissance Waverly hotel. The Chicken and Artichoke sandwich was delicious. The SantaFe Chicken egg roll appetizer was ok.

Title mentions the burgers but I would be remiss if I didn't start off with the absolute best housemade chips I've had. Those were perfect and I'd tell anyone eating there to add those to their meal. Had a spicy burger that most certainly delivered and had the onion strings on the burger which I could easily see ordering as a side instead. Beer selection was good and reasonably priced with a nice mix of local brews. Atmosphere was solid and getting in and out for parking was a breeze.

Wings were awesome, wrap was great, burgers very good service was the worst in my 55 years. I know the name of the waitress but it is not my intent to slander her. There were more empty tables than occupied and the waitress did as litttle as she could. Never stopped by....never asked if we needed anything,,never brought the one requested water , We had to get up and ask for napkins, we had to get up to ask for the check......We always leave 20 - 25 percent tip......todays 10 percent tip was far more than T**** deserved. too bad

Ordered the crab cake ball appetizer. Minimal crab meat, lots of filler. Ordered a burger, very dry and overcooked. Applebee's variety food at inflated prices. Friendly staff. Plenty of TVs. Do not go here for the food.

Across the highway from SunTrust stadium this is a curious bar. Probably very busy when a game is on, or a big conference, it is otherwise quiet with a typical bar style menu. There appear to be quite an array of beers on tap but actually several of them seem to be “out” at any one time.

I will start by saying I am biased as I have, like so many others, been a Dale Murphy fan since I was 7 years old. We went on Wednesday before a game against Houston. The location to me was very odd. It is in a specialty mall that has very few stores in it. I would assume that being in a mall would mean you have to abide by the mall hours. The place closes at 10 and I feel like it would do much better if it stayed open later so people could come in after the game. So I'm not sure why it wasn't opened on its own location but I'm sure they had a good reason. Anyways, the place itself was AWESOME! Dale Murphy pictures all over the walls and some signed memorabilia in the back. The atmosphere was great with sports on all of the TV's in the place. There is a bar in the restaurant with what looked to be a nice selection (this was odd to me since Murphy has always been so anti-alcohol). The food was good. I had the Comeback Burger, my kids had wings and all of it was good. The only thing our table was not impressed with was the salad my wife got. She said it was not very good. They have sandwiches and burgers and the place is a little pricey for what you get but you have to remember that at Murph's you are paying for the experience as much as you are the food. Foe my family of 4 it was about $40 so it's not as bad as some and definitely cheaper than eating at the field. I should say the burgers are big too. My family will definitely return and it will probably be our new stop-in before the games we are able to attend.

My husband is a huge Dale Murphy fan so we went for that purpose. But the food was quite good! We will return for the food! My husband loved all the baseball/Dale items on the walls and enjoyed watching the games on the tv's. Service was good as well.

Excellent food & service is what you'd expect at a place called Murph's, a new restaurant owned by one of Atlanta's greatest ball players, Dale Murphy. The wraps are super as are the burgers. Ask for Jennie, an excellent server and full of suggestions to complete your experience.

Great for beer and burgers. This restaurant is owned by Dale Murphy formally of the Atlanta Braves. Our waiter was great and told us the Dale frequented his restaurant and that he was a really nice guy. I REALLY enjoyed the burger and fries. A little difficult to find using GPS but it's behind the Renaissance Waverly Hotel.

Came in for an early dinner before a Braves game. No problems getting a table. Drinks served quickly and orders were taken in a timely manner. I tried the pot roast fries and my husband got 10 wings; we wanted to have something to hold us over rather than spend the astronomical prices at Suntrust and The Battery. The portions were good and the food was your average sports bar food; nothing stood out, but everything has decent flavor. Once the food was served, our waitress seemed to forget about our table and had to basically be flagged down for drink refills. Not a restaurant I would drive out of my way for (it’s about a 30 mile drive for us), but a way more affordable option within walking distance of the ballpark.

This use to be a cool establishment years ago. Quality is poor and the staff doesn't take pride in their appearance, restaurant, nor serving customers. It is perfectly okay, there are plenty of sports bars and restaurants in the area. Maybe we will reconsider once renovations are completed.

My wife and I wanted to try this place out before the Rays/Braves game. We got there at about 530pm for a 730pm game and were highly surprised the place was not busy. When we got seated there were only 5 people in the place. After being there for a little bit a few more people showed up. Nice place not sure why it wasn’t busier. The food was good and not priced too bad compared to other sports bars. If your in Atlanta for a Braves game you have to try the place out it would be anti baseball not too.

Not crowded. Waitress was very helpful. We all got different foods and everything was great. Wings and fries were tasty. My husband said the hamburger was one of the best he'd ever had (he got the peanut butter burger). There was Dale Murphy merchandise. We were about to leave when the legend himself showed up. One of the nicest people you'll meet. He was eager to talk to people, sign autographs, and take pictures. Thumbs up from everybody in our group! We will be back!

We went here for our lunch break. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with sweet potato fries and they are soooo good I can’t stop eating until there is no more food. The service was awesome. We got seated right away after a nearby restaurant told us a long wait. Things happen for a reason so we just came here and didn’t disappoint. I will have to bring my husband back here as these are his type of food.

Amazing food! The hamburgers were wonderful and the buns were totally soft and beyond tasty!! The okra was great -the Philly cheesesteak was awesome!! Chicken was great!! Terrific service!! Got on and out great place to eat before a game! Even saw Dale!! Loved this place!!

Had Comeback burger. Great burger. Cooked well. Had sweet potato fries. Really enjoyed my burger. Get extra napkins.

Murph's is owned by Braves great Dale Murphy. I've been disappointed before by celebrity owned restaurants. This one is an exception. The menu has many interesting choices. Everyone found something to their liking. I had the shrimp po-boy. The fried shrimp were huge and tasty. The bun could stand improvement. If you're a Braves fan you'll really like the ambience. Murph's staff is great. They're friendly and efficient. Their location is a 5 minute walk to Sun Trust Park. We ate during a Braves rain delay. Really appreciated Murph's staff allowing to keep our table after we finished eating. Tip- If you're from out of town and staying at a hotel, take a Uber taxi to Braves games. They'll drop you off close to the stadium. You'll also avoid parking fees.

Recently enjoyed a nice meal and good beer here. The mushroom appetizer is fabulous, best I ever had!! The salads and sandwiches were all good. Great sweet potato fries too. Will definitely go back.

Enjoyed a quick lunch and a glass of good wine - and a nice chat with one of the owners. Glad to support our locally-owned establishments as they try to recover from the worst year ever for the food industry.

We came to ATL for a Braves game. Stopped in Murph's for lunch before heading home. The kids loved the atmosphere! They were very busy but we didn't have to wait long and service was great! We all loved our food! Great flavor and very large lunch portions! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Enjoyed the food and looking at the history of my favorite baseball player. The bread used for burgers and sandwiches was excellent!

Prior to an event at Cobb Energy, my wife and I decided to grab dinner at another restaurant across from this space. We saw that Murph's was open and decided we would do dessert there to check it out. The desserts were delicious, the servers beyond friendly, and one of the owners, Dale Murphy came over to introduce himself to us and take pictures if we wanted. He was low key and grateful for the business and not full of himself like some other celebrity owners can be. He recommended the cheese curds when we come back and we will definitely try them out.

Went there after a conference in the adjoining building. The wait for a table was quick, the waitress was friendly and answered my questions, and the food didn't take long to come out despite it being crowded with a Braves game going on. I had the Buffalo Shrimp and Onion Straws with a Dos Equis. I was worried that the shrimp wouldn't be as hot as I like my food, but they were great! Plus they were real shrimp and not popcorn shrimp lol. The manager frequently walked the restaurant making sure customers were enjoying themselves and the food was good as did the servers. Overall great visit, I'll definitely try them again when back in the area.

We ate at Murph's before the Braves game. The restaurant wasn't busy at the time we visited, but the food and the service was great. We had the kid's chicken fingers, the Philly cheese sandwich, and a 10 piece hot wing meal. We will return on our next trip to Sun-Trust Park.

Every year, me and my buddies do a road trip to baseball parks across the country. This year's sojourn took us to Atlanta to watch the Braves play the Dodgers at Sun Trust Park. What better to tie in to that theme than a pregame lunch at Murph's, an eatery owned by Braves legend Dale Murphy. As a restaurant, it is not bad. The menu has a leaning towards bar food with the addition of some creative menu items that make selecting that perfect appetizer and entree item a bit difficult. I went with the Pot Roast sandwich that included one side; in the south I did Southerners do and went with the fried okra. There are several other entree and appetizer selections that make the menu compelling. This is a sports bar, not a white table cloth establishment. That written, being just down the road from the ball park, Dale's eatery is just right for a pre-ballgame meal, a happy hour or a weekday lunch. Combine that with the memorabilia, baseball quotables and the ability to reach out and touch Murph, and this is a solid venue for a good meal.

Went before a Braves game since it is close to the stadium. I had the chicken cordon blue and it was very good and filling. The sweet potato fries were also good and crisp. Was much better than the places in the Battery that are over crowded with no service.

Food was great! Had fried pickles, bourbon bacon burger and wings and all was delicious!!! Definitely recommend! A great burger joint.
A great place owned and operated by a Braves favorite!
So you just have to go to Murph's. Game day, not game day, just go. This place is owned and operated by Braves alum Dale Murphy and is such a great place. It's pub food and it's great! Great drinks! And a great atmosphere! I can't wait until the weather cools off and the big doors can be opened to the outside. There is a bridge connecting the Suntrust Park area to the Galleria and Murph's is easy to get to. Nothing against those places at The Battery but do yourself a favor and make it over to Murph's. The prices are much better and for heaven's sake it's Dale Murphy!
