Great bartenders :) fun place to have a drink and lunch, we had half sandwitch and soup just $5, sandwitch was great soup not to good..... very watery :( ... met great couple there, and bartender was very informative about the bar.

Food prepared early and put under a heat lamp. Burger meat was pink in the middle and had a soggy bun. Fries were limp and bland. The atmosphere was great but there are much better places to eat around Wrigley.

Stopped in here one night after a Cubs game. It was a pretty active, younger crowd for the most part. Good music played at the right volume. Sports on the televisions replaying the game. All the drinks you could want made right, but maybe a little pricey. Lots of pictures and memorabilia on the walls. The front bar, closest to the entrance was where most everyone was. There was a second bar in the back near the rest rooms that was pretty empty. Very happy to have visited this iconic Wrigley bar!

If you are looking to kill time before a game or concert, this is the place to do it. They have the usual drinks and food. A bar inside and a walk up bar outside. Be prepared to stand. Any seating goes fast. If you’re not 21, you’re not getting in.

A must pre-game stop! Suggest going early and with a local to guide you through the throngs. We stopped by just before the game for a quick beer. I hope the opportunity comes again.

We went here after the Cubs won the World Series to soak up the friendly atmosphere. It was a great warm day and everyone was friendly. The lines were long to get a cold beer. Well worth the wait!!!

Definitely the best place to hangout before Cubs day games. Even better, they're Bloody Mary's are simply the best. I say simply because they're not filled with all sorts of extras - just booze and delicious mix! One of my Wrigleyville favs!

Stopped here for a couple of beers during a tour (not a game sadly). However, there was a Jimmy Buffet concert coming up and the outfits were awesome. Great relaxed vibe with a few seating and standing options. Enjoyed feeling like being part of the action at this pub.

Visited Wrigley (rooftops, anyway) for the first time in my life. We had post-game drinks with colleagues from all over the US at Murphy's Bleachers, after the Cubs came back to win one. A fun place for sure - somewhat crowded and loud but plenty of room to move around. It was a perfect way to end our day. Lots of fun.

Stopped at this landmark twice during a visit to the city. A very nice selection of beers and whiskeys. Tremendous number of rooms. Definitely worth a visit while visiting Wrigley Field

Great atmosphere and drinks. There is seating inside and out. Immediately following a game at Wrigley, this place is packed but it adds to the wonderful atmosphere. The sooner you can get there after the game the better, otherwise there can be a long wait to get in. Enjoy!

Great sports bar opposite the stadium. Good choice of beers and lots of memorabilia. Cubs on TV when I went and atmosphere was buzzing.

This place was mad before the first World Series game in 2016, but we expected that. We got there around Noon and there was already a line 2 blocks long. It didn't move much but we persevered and finally got in. Atmosphere was crazy. Decent food, we had a couple beers and a small pizza. Great food just before the game. We left around 4P to get to our seats before the game. A totally worthwhile experience on a totally insane day. We'll always be glad we did it.

We've been to Wrigley many times and have never been able to get anywhere near this bar (crowded, overflowing into the streets), but this time we came in November on a cold and dreary Saturday. The atmosphere is super-neat and the bartender was great. We didn't eat, only drank, but I will try the food if there is a next time. Oh, and they allow dogs and there were some really cute ones in there!

Great building, ambiance and service. This is the best in the neighborhood, offering great history and indoor/outdoor space. Irish pub's just know how to do it.

In the heart of Wrigleyville across from the stadium, Murphy's Bleacher's has the fun upbeat atmosphere you'd expect on game day. We came in before the game for a beer and then ended up here for the second half is it was pouring rain and chilly. The service was great and the staff friendly.

Being from out of town and usually a tagalong guest to Cubs games, I've been here a few times and each time I don't quite get it. I guess you need to be a crazed Cubs fan to really think it's great. The food is mediocre and a beer is a beer. It's crowded and loud, like you'd expect a sports bar to be right outside a baseball stadium. If that's what is wanted, Murphy's fits the bill. I'm glad I did it once but not so much the other times. Next time I'll think I'll try some other crazed sports bars just for variety.

Murphy's is a must stop for Cubs Pre-game. Always crowded but if you wander toward the back you usually at least find some space. Get there early(1 1/2-2 hours before game time) if you want a table. Murphy's burger is a staple and worth the money. Beer prices are reasonable and the beers are always cold. Plenty of bars in the back so don't get stuck in the older, smaller section trying to get a beer.

We enjoy at least once a month going to Wrigley field just to go Murphy’s just for their hot dogs (the best) and the Wrigley experience. A must do when heading to Wrigley field!🙂

I would definitely stop by here to get a Chicago hot dog and all the fixings. Great game day atmosphere and good selection of beers.

We stopped here for a drink before the game while visiting from out of town. The energy around Wrigley is great and Murphys is at the heart of it. They feature their own beer, which was great, and have lots of offerings otherwise. Friendly, fun staff. I'm so glad we stopped in!

If you watched the World Series on TV, you got a glimpse of the hoopla and party atmosphere at Murphy's Bleachers, the iconic bar across the street from Wrigley Field. My wife and I haven't been to a bar in many years. But the historic victory by the Chicago Cubs persuaded us to make a trip to Murphy's a week after the fun and games were concluded and celebrity Bill Murray had left town. Yes, they really do serve food at Murphy's, not just beer. Murphy's has been a fixture at the corner of Sheffield and Waveland for over 80 years. It began as Ernie's Bleachers after Prohibition ended in the 1930s, selling hot dogs and beer. The name changed to Ray's Bleachers in the 1960s when it became the home of the legendary Bleacher Bums of Second City fame. But its reputation began to soar when Jim Murphy, a Chicago Police Department detective, assumed ownership in 1980 and changed the name to Murphy's Bleachers. Murphy expanded the bar inside and out, began to display Chicago Cubs and other sports memorabilia and opened the first rooftop seating section in 1984. Today, it is widely recognized as the best sports bar in the country. And its celebrity skyrocketed even more with the Cubs' World Series victory. A visit to Murphy's and Wrigleyville is like going to a shrine, like Cooperstown or Canton or Times Square or Hollywood or Monticello or Mount Vernon. Far-fetched? Maybe so. But don't tell that to a Cubs fan. It's Bloody Mary's before the game and cold beer and hot burgers or pizza afterward. We sampled something of everything...chicken tenders, onion rings, fries, corned beef sandwich, Italian beef sandwich, 1/4-pound Angus beef Chicago-style hot dog with all the trimmings and Murphy's 1/2-pound burger, advertised as "the best burger in the city," with fresh-ground tenderloin with American cheese and grilled onions, ketchup, mustard and relish with fries and house-made potato salad. I kept looking for Joe Maddon or Kris Bryant or Anthony Rizzo or maybe Billy Williams to walk in the door. Maybe next time.

Get there early for a table, but this is the place to be before a Cubs game! We were in town for a visit and landed here before the game - great beer selection! If you have a chance, and she is around, have Loretta draw your picture. She is a lovely lady and a pleasure to talk to!

Came by to see the Cub's game, had a few beers on the way. It was a little chilly so had an Irish Coffee here. It was OK, not like the Buena Vista in San Francisco. It did hit the spot and the place was rocking before the game. Nice experience.

We were meeting up with friends to watch basketball at a bar near Wrigley Field. He told us Murphy so that’s where we went. Well, he told us the wrong place but we decided to hang out at Murphy’s for a drink and the first half. It’s a cool sports bar right next to Wrigley. They have tons of TVs and so many places to hang out and watch a game. It got loud the longer we were there was it was later into the night. We went some where else for the second half and finally met up with our fiends.

Great long-time Wrigleyville spot! Ideal location if you are going into the park or doing a rooftop.

Stopped in here while waiting to tour Wrigley Field. Good drinks and good appetizers. Went during the afternoon on a Thursday so it was not busy. I'm sure it gets busy on game day. Well stocked bar and tasty apps.

This is a fun place. The bartenders are just great, The food is straight forward Chicago bar grub. I like coming here because its so much fun. Cool old building. Nice indoor/outdoor place and a great sense of community, especially on game day. I really recommend the murphys dark stout!

Wanted to come look at Wrigley. Cubbies are out of town so I stopped at Murphy's. Ordered an Italian Beef for comparison sake to Al's Italian Beef. Good, but not as good. Wide beer selection. Very nostalgic feel. I bet on game days this place would be packed and a lot of fun. Prices on food is good. Beer prices I have found to be typical.

My friends and I love to go to Murphy's before a Cubs game. The place is usually packed, everyone is super friendly, and the drink prices aren't too steep (and don't seem watered down). It's just across the street from Wrigley Field and you're in a sea of Cubbie blue when you're there.

Great Pub with awesome selection of craft beers on tap! right opposite Wrigley's Bleachers Entrance......

Great place for some eats before game, while little pricey, count on around 20.00 for brat, and beer. Beer is around 8.00. Cheaper than inside. Meet other cubs fans as well as other teams fans. Been there many times.

We went to Murphy's Bleachers before a concert at Wrigley. My Bloody Mary was absolutely fabulous and we felt like the prices were pretty reasonable. The location is perfect for any event at Wrigley and the decor is great. There are several different areas for you to congregate with your friends as well as a very large patio area on multiple sides of the building. Great place to visit before a game or event. Walk about a block and buy a T-shirt from the Chicago Wrigleyville fire department to take home!

We stopped in here quickly about two hours before the Cub's game. We actually just stopped in for a quick bathroom break, a couple of beers for mom and dad, and some sodas for the kiddos before getting in line for the game. We were not able to try any of the food, but will try to do that the next time we are here. We all were able to use the bathrooms, which were clean and well taken care of, and then get some drinks at the bar fairly quickly for the amount of people who were in here. The bartenders were really friendly and super fast with the service. They have an area roped off outside where you can stand and enjoy your drinks with a little breathing room and watch all the people up and down the street getting hyped up for the game. Definitely make a stop if you can. We will definitely come back and will plan on staying a bit longer the next time.

After being in an all empty Cubby Bear Lounge, we strolled through the neighbourhood and ended up in Murphy’s Bleachers. Nice pub for a drink and a bite to eat before entering the stadium. Especcially on a cold and windy day like yesterday!

Stopped here before AND after a cubs game. I'm from outa town, so I hit several of the area bars and found this to be my favorite. Generous pours, cold brews and friendly staff. It was fun hanging out here.

Stopped in for a pregame beer or two. Service was great, seating was limited due to the place being packed! made new friends and shared a table. Food looked good but did not eat here. Many places for get drinks which was nice!!

Great place to go for a couple beers before the game. Looks a bit old and run down from the outside. Lots of sports memorbilia inside and enjoyed my time. Get there early as it does fill up quickly before the game. Saw the guy that walks around with beer cans and peanut cans stuck to his bald head.

This is an amazing place within and amas=zing place...Wrigleyville. Murphys Bleachers is the kind of pub you just cannot re-create. The fans make it what it is...and they show up in droves! This is a must stop before and / or after a Cubs game. Come perpared to share...as seat, a table, a story, or the experience. It's that kind of place. Yes. They have food. And, of course, they have beer..and lot's of it. But this place is all about the People. Become one of them!

This is thin and crispy crust. Hand made. Tom, our Wrigley tour guide recommended as the place locals eat. Reasonable price, craft beers, casual atmosphere.

Of all the bars next to the stadium, this was definitely the best. The prices were not cheap, but not ridiculous for its location. The food was pretty good (had the chicken sandwich). The beer selection was great. The staff was friendly and efficient. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Definitely would go back the next time I go to Wrigley.

Folks start lining up very early to get into this iconic sports bar. We were lucky that there was no game (it was the Saturday after the World Series) but it got crowded pretty fast. Lots of Chicago sports memorabilia and great Bloody Marys.

What a great pub & grille! Incredibly convenient to Wrigley Field - but much more than that. Got a lot of free publicity in the 2016 Playoffs and Wold Series, which was well deserved. But this place is a true historical ballpark history icon. They get it. Very customer oriented. Lots of beer selections and good food. Good prices and wonderful outdoor seating.

This was our first time to Chicago. We walked around Wrigley Field and stopped into Murphy's for some drinks since it's right across the street. Excellent sports bar with a wide selection of beers and plenty of televisions. It's an Iowa State alumni bar. Friendly staff and clean atmosphere. We tried their local beers and they were delicious! An overall great experience.

Great place to grab a few beers before a game at Wrigley. It's your typical jam packed full of 25-40 year olds sports bar. Don't expect to find a table to sit at or a waitress if it's 2 hours or sooner before the game. It will take you a bit to grab a drink from the bar too. I don't think this speaks to the place being bad it's actually the opposite. Everyone loves it and therefore it's crowded. I would highly recommend it for a pre game spot if you're okay standing around and rubbing elbows with strangers.

But the staff can be quite rude. The blonde lady at the front bar this past Tuesday for AC/DC was unbelievably rude. Like get a different job lady if you don't like serving drinks to morons in bars.

My son and I had lunch at Murphy's Bleachers for our first Cubs game. All of the guides tell you this is a must. It is a very neat place with lots of history and nostalgia decorating the walls. I loved the main bar. This really is a very neat place to visit. However, the food is overpriced and average at best. The drinks are outrageous too. I realize this is Chicago, but better food and drink can be had a few blocks away. Visit once for the nostalgia and eat somewhere else for your 2nd and subsequent games...

People suggested to us that we had to hit this place pre-post game. Pre-game was the best! Wall to wall people, multiple bars and even temporary bars were set up. Great people watching...good price on beers. Its a must for a tourist spot pre-game to the Cubs

We went after the game to get drinks and hang out some more. Plenty of places to stand but no seats. Room for seats where we stood, so weird. We would have stayed longer and had more drinks if we could have sat and talked. It was hard to get a drink, the bar was full and no clear place to order.

If you are going to Wrigley Field and 21 years of age this is a must.. mostly to say you have been there. Fun place, great bartenders!

I was at Murphy's Bleachers before the first Yankees-Cubs game this last week. It was a good place to reunite with some fellow Giants-Yankees-Rangers-Knicks fans I know. The bar looks small from the Sheffield and Waveland corner but is actually very large which is a major plus. There are two outdoor areas to it, about 4 or 5 places to get beer, the beer is a little cheaper than it is in Wrigley Field but not by much. One thing slightly annoying is it is right under the El Train tracks which are very noisy for obvious reasons.

I went to Chicago for a girls trip and we decided to head to a Cubs game. We left the game a little early to head to Murphy's Bleachers. We were able to grab a table outside and enjoyed the sites, sounds and fun the Wrigley area offered. Beer selection is decent and so are the prices. My husband recommended this place as it is his preferred place to get a drink near the field.

We were in the Chicago the weekend they clinched, and after watching their winning league game at an Irish pub the night it happened, we headed down Sunday to the stadium area. It was festive and packed with joyous fans. So we consulted Trip Advisor for a good eatery and ended up here! Excellent choice! You have to lurk a little bit for a table to open up (inside or outside) but well worth it. I had a tasty Turkey Melt and husband had their Bacon Burger- both juicy and satisfying! Took the bartenders suggestion for local Chitown brews and they were spot on. Perfect exclamation point on our W afternoon!

Service is always great, even when it is busy. Be prepared to stand if it is busy. Multiple bars, seating areas, indoor/outdoor and a good selection of beers. You can hear the music from Wrigley if there is a concert going on. Great pregame/pre show venue...close to Wrigley gates and a short walk from Addison red line stop

Good tavern food and a friendly staff make this a must stop before or after a Cubs game. Relaxing atmosphere on off days too. Good beer selection.

My husband and I decided to have a few pregame drinks at Murphy's and we enjoyed our time at the bar. Next time we'll try the food.

The home pub for fans of the Cubs. It has a deceptively small front but it's pretty huge inside. Food was solidly American and decent value. Good range of ales. Servers all very friendly and professional. Great place to stop if you're visiting Wrigley Field (although I think it might be a bit busy on match days...).

This place is excellent. Great staff. Great drinks. Being across from wrigley field was perfect. Love this place.

My brother took us to Murphy's Bleachers tonight. The was no game. We went to see Wrigley and have a beer and some food. They have many craft beers on tap as well as scotches bourbons and mixed drinks. They had a well rounded menu including sandwiches pizza salads and more. My brother and I both had the 1/4 lb Chicago dog. It was very good. Great service. We sat outside and looked at the stadium. Will be back next time I'm in Chicago.

We went to Murphy’s Bleachers for lunch before an afternoon Cubs game. The atmosphere was great, the food was awesome, and you can’t beat the memorabilia. Had the best hot dog ever!!!! Would recommend to anyone who is a baseball fan.

This bar did a really poor job of handling the events surrounding game 3 of the World Series. My girlfriend and I waited in line for about an hour the morning of game 3 so we could meet some friends inside. Once we got to the front of the line, the door guy cut us off because the bar was at "over-capacity." I have no problem with that; however, I do have a huge problem with the door guy then letting 30-40 of his friends in over the next 90 minutes while hundreds of people waited in line. This door guy was also accepting money to let people in (even though the bar had no cover charge) and his justification to those of us waiting was "they don't pay me enough not to accept bribes." Eventually, after two and a half hours of waiting, we get in. Everything went fine for the next 6-7 hours until about the end of the second inning, when a couple of employees tried to kick us and our friends out of the bar because the fire marshal said they were over-capacity. My group had spent hundreds of dollars on food and drinks in their establishment by this point, yet because of their poor handling of the situation, they tried to kick us out. Some of this staff and management showed a clear irresponsibility towards the number of people they were letting in and apparently care about public safety only so far as the cash in their pockets. I'm sure the bar is a lot more enjoyable during a regular season game, but we will not be returning to this establishment ever again.

Went in the afternoon on a off game day. Lots of Cubs historic stuff on walls. You can tell alot of regulars and locals come here. Service was slow and the girl behind the bar was not real friendly. Cleanest bathrooms of any bar we visited. I would recommend a visit just for the history of the place. Right behind center field scoreboard

The place was jammed inside but the service window for food was very quick. Burgers for 10 bucks nothing to write home about but serviceable. Bar staff was fast. Restrooms clean. Grabbed a table outside, watched and enjoyed the view while catching up with an old friend. It worked.

We stopped in to Murphy's Bleachers before and after the sixth game of the NLCS against the Dodgers. The fans were great, the staff was friendly. Located on the southeast corner of Sheffield and Waveland, Murphy's Bleachers is over 80 years old. It began as Ernie's Bleachers after Prohibition. In 1980, the owner, a Chicago Police Detective, Jim Murphy began a transformation that would involve the area around Wrigley Field. Because of his vision and understanding the draw of historic Wrigley Field and the allure of a cold beer on a sunny day, Murphy's Bleachers took off. He then began expanding his tavern inside and out, Jim was one of the first collectors of sports memorabilia. He also opened the first rooftop in 1984, just in time for the playoffs, sparking a movement that would come to define Wrigleyville. It's too bad that he couldn't be around for tonight's win, he would have loved the fans and the win.

We had several people with us and ate outside before the Cub game and it was awesome! The food was good!

If this is your 1st time in Wrigleyville or your millionth time in Wrigley Ville, Murphy’s bleachers is a must stop! It is the closest bar to the bleachers and it is a staple of the neighborhood! It has one of the best outdoor sections that is closest to Wrigley Field! The music is always good because of the jukebox. They have Porto potty‘s in the back so if you have to go to the bathroom; it is easy to go at least for guys.

came in with a pal on his birthday. His brother had called ahead to arrange for a round of drinks and after that staff took very good care of us,as well as a round of drinks.has a small town vibe in a big city .the regulars here were great to hang with, local beer was well represented and the food was above average for a pub.we had the burger and a quesadilla which hit the spot to continue our day.great location too right behind Wrigley stadium and next to the redline addison stop.will be back next visit to Chicago.

We didn't try any of the food, but I can say that it's a really fun place to hang out, especially while St. Patrick's Day celebrations during the Saturday before the actual day. The beer is good and the service is friendly & efficient. Would definitely go back there again!

This is an excellent place to stop in for a cold drink on game day/ Unfortunately the cubs were not playing the day were we here, but we still had a great time and could picture this place packed with cub fans from all over. It's a really neat part of the community. Its walkable from the train station (Addison) and on the permeter of the stadium itself. The service was quick and easy and we had the tots (yum).

A great place to go for beers and food right outsider de the ballpark. Outdated r seats no as well as inside.

We stopped into Murphy's Bleachers on our first night in Chicago. We had been exploring the area around Wrigley Field and stopped in for a drink. They offered an extensive beer menu, most of not all of the beers were local crafts, and a full bar. My husband had the Baderbrau Chicago Pilsener and I had the Brooklyn Pre-Prohibition Lager. Maybe it was the atmosphere or the fact it was warm outside that evening but we can't remember when a beer tasted better. My husband even came home with a 6-pack of the Baderbrau! The bartender entertained our questions as tourists and welcomed us to Chicago. We had a great time at Murphy's!

Right across from the ball field! We stopped here with our bicycle tour and had two different beers to taste. (We did not have food here.) It was a good place to stop; there is a great patio, and some people were playing cornhole.

Came for a beer stayed for a few staff was great beer was cold fun time I will return on our next trip

I've been going to Murphy's since 1998 whenever I get out to Cubs games. Crowds milling and drinking. Good-looking girls.

Located across the street from Wrigley Field, a great sports bar. Lots of memorabilia to look at, great selection of beers on tap and some really good bar food. Worth a visit

Another local place to meet friends before or after a game. We like to get there early and get a table outside. Pay for reserved parking behind the bar. Nice selection of drinks.

Another spot on our group trip to Wrigley and the area. Murphys was decent spot with good people. It has more of a local dive collage bar, but that's what is the draw. It's a good sports bar. We just thought it could use a little updating and cleaning as there was a smell we couldn't figure out. No worries though as it was a great experience to check out this bar as well as the others in Wrigleyville. Definitely worth a try for anyone visiting

We stopped here for a hot dog and beer before the game. It was definitely the place to be, super packed in but good atmosphere for pregame. Mostly standing room inside with some tables outside.

A must visit if visiting Wrigley Field. We enjoyed the enter action with fellow Cubs fans before the game. A great spot to enjoy good Cubs fellowship and imbibe a few adult beverages before or after a Cubs game.

Let's be honest. The bartenders simply do their job....and do it damn well. Great spot to hang before a game and have a few beers/cocktails. Old school feel and something to add to your list if you are a baseball fan or just a fan of great dive bars

They are known for their burgers and they are just as good as they were when I started eating them in the 80s. The meat is fairly lean, so don't order it more cooked than medium, medium rare is best. All of the other food is much better than average. Huge selection of beers and spirits. Healthy pours on the mixed drinks. The place is a mob scene when the Cubs are in town, go on a weeknight for better service specials and promos.

Nice pub right across from Wrigley Field. Good place to go after a game. Drinks are a bit pricey - but so is everything in Chicago!

Spotted this place while walking around Wrigley waiting for game to start. Great character of an old city pub. Place fits right in and appears to be about as old as Wrigley itself. Didn't eat here but the beer selection is great and there is a lot of space both inside and out. Great experience.

Great time, fun people, great staff. Good prices and good ambiance. Shots were 7 a piece, but the Jager was needed to beat the cold. My friend got sweatshirts for the memory and to keep warm. Lol.

I wasn't at Murphy's Bleachers when the Cubs clinched the World Series championship in 2016. I watched the celebration on TV. But any day at Murphy's Bleachers before and after a Cubs game is a life experience, one to be enjoyed and/or endured at least once. Located at 3655 North Sheffield Avenue in Chicago's bustling Wrigleyville neighborhood, at Waveland, in the shadow of Wrigley Field's center field scoreboard, it is open from 11 to 1 a.m. daily. It's a spacious sports pub with an outdoor area across the street from Wrigley Field that packs in fans on game days. It started in the 1930s when Ernie Pareti opened Ernie's Bleachers, a hot dog stand selling beer by the pail after Prohibition. In 1965, it became Ray's Bleachers when Ernie sold to Ray Meyers. It achieved renown as the home of the Bleacher Bums. Meyers sold to Jim Murphy in 1980 and the bar has grown in size and reputation ever since. You can watch a game from a seat at the bar or from the rooftop overlooking Sheffield Avenue. The bar grub ain't bad, either. Try Murphy's Famous 1/2-pound Burger with fresh ground tenderloin trimmings, American cheese and grilled onions with fries. Or the 1/4-pound Angus beef Chicago-style hot dog with Murphy's Famous Chili with sour cream, cheese and onions. Or choose pizza, bratwurst, Polish, corned beef, Italian beef, steak, Reuben or BLT or chicken wings or chicken tenders. And be sure to admire all of the sports memorabilia on the walls. A visit to Murphy's Bleachers is a tradition unlike any other.

Directly across from Wrigley Park....beautiful patio seating....excellent chicken wings and burgers....good beer selections....good service

We were there when the Cubs were not in town. The manager of Murphy's bar was good enough to show us the bleachers. It is quite a climb up the meandering stairs but when there it was easy to imagine the fun people could have there. Most times, it was explained by the manager, the entire bleachers are rented to corporate and individual seats are not available. Fun, fun, fun can be imagines.

Stopped in for a few drinks and enjoyed the giant patio outside. Location is perfect to Wrigley literally across the street, and the atmosphere and sports bar style inside was great. Serving staff was friendly, good selection of local beers and drinks. All in all a good sunny day, patio experience! Check it out!

This is a great place to hang before a Cubs game. Right across the street from Wrigley field and the history of this place is pretty impressive. Good beer and great people all hanging out for the love of the Cubs. This place does get crazy busy so you'll probably be standing unless you get there early.

We would have loved to spend some quality amount of time at Murphy's pub, but we had other things to do. This pub is at the back end of the bleachers, in the suburban street, behind the famous Wrigley Field. After wandering around the stadium, we came across Murphy's in the set up phase before a Cubs/ Giants game. You could feel the history & occasion building as we enjoyed a couple of libations. What a great spot.

A trip to Wrigley Field is not complete without a visit to Murphy's Bleachers. Located almost directly behind center field, within baseball throwing distance of the Harry Caray Statue, it is THE PLACE to have a few cool ones before a Cubs game, especially if you will be in the bleachers, left or right field, it doesn't matter. If you are coming from out of town with limited time, this is the first choice before The Cub game you should make. They will fill up fast, starting about 2 and a half hours before game time. The food is fairly priced, and very good, with a nice variety. Also a nice variety of Chicago memorabilia can be viewed. You can sit inside or outside, but the outside tables fill up fast. Friendly employees, just a great way to start your day before the game. A NO BRAINER...DON'T MISS IT!! The best place in Wrigleyville, hands down!!!

My family and I were in Chicago for a few days to attend a couple of Cubs games. On our last day, we decided to stop and and have a couple of drinks before the game. Wrigleyville is so much fun, and the atmosphere is great. There was a sign that said to wait to be seated. We stood for a few minutes, then just went ahead and sat down. There were no servers to be seen. There were some people at the table next to us who showed us how to get some water, which we did. There were only 4 families there, with a total of 16 people. We had been sitting and chatting with the people next to us for about 15 minutes before a server came out and took both tables' orders. There wasn't an apology or explanation. We all were told that we were lucky because the grill was closing down??? Our food was excellent, as was all of the memorabilia, but I have no need to go back.

Visited Wrigley for the first time in my life. What a treat. To top it off, pre and post game cocktails were at Murphy's Bleachers. What a place. Friendly, crowded and loud. It was perfect. The best baseball bar that I have ever been to. My kids loved it as well. A true "can't miss".

We went here to hang out before a concert at Wrigley- drinks and food were good- we found a great spot on the patio and sat for hours- just what we were looking for!

This is the best Goddamn turkey burger in the free world. You have to put up with proprietor Freddy’s boy band nonsense to get fed, but it’s well worth it - Ask for the Irish Mist next time you stop in!

At the corner of Sheffield and Waveland Ave is Murphy's Bleachers. It's right across the street from the Bleacher entrance to Wrigley Field. Expect a fun, lively atmosphere and great bar food. Murphy's Famous Burger, Chicken Fingers (these are huge) and the Chicken Caesar Wrap were hits at out table. There were 16 "local" brews on draft along with the other expected favorites. The Green Line Pale Ale was my favorite! Food portions are very generous. Service was friendly. It's like being at the game, without actually being in the stadium!

A group of us hung out at Murphy’s before and after a couple of concerts at Wrigley. There may be newer and more fancier bars and restaurants around Wrigley but you can’t beat Murphy’s. It’s feels historic and as cool as Wrigley Field. Atmosphere is great with a couple of floors and old feel. Outside seating is great. Wait staff is awesome. Location is great in more of a neighborhood feel right outside one of the gates. If your looking for somewhere to have a couple drinks and maybe a snack, there is no better place around Wrigley. Scott the bartender is especially good guy.

If you can't get (or afford) tickets to the sold out Cubs game, watch it from Murphy's! It's just as good (maybe better) than being inside Wrigleyville Field. Great service, fun people, simply the best! We go there before and after games and always have a great time!

Not only is it easy to get to but there can be a lot of room to soak in the atmosphere before a home game. The food is good, not great but good. The bars are easy to get to in almost every part of this massive venue and they have a nice selection of beers to choose from. Last nights was the first time I tried the area all the way in the back that had its own bar and seating by the Wrigley replica - had no idea it was there. Cash only and no drafts but we sat easily and enjoyed ourselves despite the cold.

Visited here after we had a tour of Wrigleyfield on a non game day. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food and drinks were reasonably priced and were tasty. Not much else to say but if you're in the area please make a visit here.

Conveniently located across from Wrigley, Murphy's has a great beer selection and atmosphere. It was packed but we were able to get seated right away. You go up to the counter to order dogs and hamburgers and the hot dogs were delicious! There are several beers on tap. Pricing was a little cheaper than in the stadium. There are several televisions to catch the game if you don't go into the stadium.

Perfect place to hang out before the game. Awesome experience - would recommend it to anyone. Old school atmosphere pairs perfectly with the ballpark

Awesome spot to hang before, during or after a Cubs game. Fun atmosphere, large open spaces and rooms with plenty of seating. Outdoor patio is nice and usually has beer tubs set up.

We stopped here as a part of our Bikes, Brews and Bites Tour with Bobby’s Bike Hike. It was packed, since it was one of the first games at Wrigley and the weather was nice. The bar was very accommodating for our large group and would definitely recommend!

So met a friend here...old time tavern...a ton of bars to stand and watch the game or drink before the game. There were also table top tooo...they have a kitchen there to get a dog, sausage, pretzel, fries etc....nothing great basic ballpark food, but had to experience it. A ton of beers to try etc....Im sure in warmer weather its a hoot :)

This was probably my favorite place we visited on our trip to Chicago. Staff was friendly. Food was great. I definitely want to experience this place during baseball season.

What do you do for a Cubs game..... You stop in at Murphy's before heading in. Great service. Never heard a bloody mary called breakfast soup. They do offer great drink specials too. A Cubs game tradition to stop in.

Went to Wrigleyville for a visit to the field and found ourselves in the middle of a bar crawl. Best stop by far at Murphy's Bleachers. The bartenders were having a lot of fun and great with which to interact. Fair prices and a great atmosphere. A must stop and stay.

Authentic, fun indoor/outdoor sports bar across the road from Wrigley Field. Great food, good atmosphere, and very reasonable prices!

Location is obviously perfect next to wrigley field, which is why they charge $7 minimum for a lukewarm can of Old style in a plastic cup even outside of game day and when cubs are not even playing. The drafts were more expensive. The waiting staff are very friendly but the actual staff behind the bar were unfriendly almost to the point of rude. It's a fairly spacious bar with screens set up so ok for sports but unless it was game day and the atmosphere was unbelievable I would never go back, so many places near by that are much cheaper and show sports!

Nice place for an iconic sports bar outside Wrigley Field. Nice to visit a little before the game ends because it gets so packed after that you can't move. Pretty good selection of craft beers.

Great place to meet up before Cubs game or to celebrate after a Cubs win! Try a Chicago style Hot dog!

We stopped here for a couple beers prior to a game and really enjoyed the atmosphere. DId not order any food so can't comment on that but nice selection of beers. We really enjoyed walking around and checking out all the memorabilia. A must see for any true baseball fan!!

Great location next to historic Wrigley Field. Had the half pound burger!! Awesome. Atmosphere great for Cubs fans and all baseball historians. Lots of history and fun times. I was there before baseball season, but could only imagine it during a home game.

What a nice piece of Real Estate, which is worth far more than the business... Murphy's is a Chicago bar... Cub Fans Food served here.

We hit Murphy's before a cubs game. While it was crowded (obviously) it was pretty reasonable given the location. We had brats, burgers and beer and it didn't break the bank. Certainly cheaper than Wrigley.

Great pub to stop outside of Wrigley! Tried their local beer. Loved the interior filled with Cubs memorabilia!!

While Murphy's is in the shadow of Wrigley it has a neighborhood bar vibe to it. I'm sure on game day its swamped, but on this winter day it was a perfect place to have an Old Style and talk about like!

Just outside the Wrigley Field bleacher entry at Sheffield and Waveland Ave., had to stop for lunch. We were there on a day when the Cubs had a night game, so Murphy's wasn't packed. Sports atmosphere, good vibe and food wasn't half-bad either at reasonable prices. I can see why it's a popular hangout for Cubs fans.

Right there at the ballpark and very crowded. Has outdoor seating and plan to get there several hours prior to game time to ensure a seat. The dogs and brats were flying out of the place but did not want to eat standing so we didn't try them. Good place to scarf a few prior to game time.

Murphy's is a great bar that we love to visit when in Chicago. In July we were there twice each time with great service and cold drinks. I even bought a tank top! Can't wait to go back.

Very friendly and fun place. You can't smoke (even in the outside bit), so that was a little disappointing. I had a bite of my brother's burger and it was solid. $27 for three jaeger bombs.

Murphy's is great because it's in the shadow of Wrigley but what a rip off. They were charging $5.50 for a can of Old Style which should be considered a felony. I'd recommend going somewhere else for pregame drinks and then wandering around the area before the game without going into Murphy's.

It's all about the people and cold beer at Murphy's which is directly across the street from right/centerfield at Wrigley Field. Been going here for over 20 years. This was my first time back in 7 years though.

A must do when visiting Wrigley! Lots of memorabilia and friendly staff and patrons. This is a hotspot for locals and tourists alike.

As an avid Cubs fan, this is the place to be. Usually crowded, but the wait for drinks isn't horrible. If you're looking for atmosphere over being served quickly, Murphy's is your spot.

Stopped in here for beers before and after a Cubs Game. This place was insane. It’s quite large and holds a lot of people and definitely the place to be if your attending a Cubs Game. Good beer, food and atmosphere. This place knows how to put on a party. We really had a great time.

If visiting Wrigley field you must go to Murphy's Bleachers. The staff was friendly the food was plentiful and good and affordable. More of a bar that serves food but very cool.

This is an amazing place that should be on any bucket list when going to a Cubs game. The history of this place is on the walls and ceiling. The beer is reasonable and so was the bar food.

Love going to Murphy's when we are in Chicago. The service is exceptional considering how many folks they get in the place. Great beer selection.

Great place for before or after a Cubs game. Great location and great atmosphere, and you are sure to be surrounded by true Cubs fans.

If you're sitting in the bleachers you go to Murphy's before a Cubs game to have a few libations. Go inside to get your drinks. It is faster then waiting at the window on the patio. Great place to hang out, but there are better spots for food before the game. If you're sitting in the bleachers it is hard to beat as a pre-game beverage spot.

We stopped by here after the ballgame. It’s a fun place, with a whole lot of baseball fans! They were extremely busy, and ran out of a few food items. I wish that there were more tables and chairs though, as we had to stand during our two hours here. Also, I ordered a drink and it was awful. The bartender was really busy so maybe that’s why she left out one of the main ingredients, but she seemed really stressed and she was not very friendly, so I switched to beer and threw out the drink.

Loud. Fun. Gotta go. Make sure you have the tater tots. Belly up to the bar. Have a seat. I have to make this 100 words long. Go Reds!

An absolute must for any Cubbies fan. Wall to wall with memorabilia. Delicious draft beers and tasty brats with the best game atmosphere outside of Wrigley Field.

This is where Cubs fans/Twentysomethings come to over-imbibe! The bar is loud and crowded before a game; some people even wait in line to get in!?! It is a fine bar with a long tradition. Murphy's has rooftop seating from which you could watch the games at Wrigley - but no more. The Cubs have done a real number on the rooftops -they have built things to block all the views. I could not see the game at all from the Rooftop and ended up downstairs watching it on their TVs. So what's the point?

A true Chicago vibe bar. Next door to Wrigley Field, a must go to place before, after or during the game. Very fun atmosphere. Loud, noisy and lots of good time to be had by all!

It has been a family tradition to go there before it was Murphey's, when it was still Ernie's bleachers. I just went to my first game this summer with my whole family (10 family members from ages 13-75). It welcomes everyone. Great environment!

You don't come to Murphy's expecting anything more than a bar and grill, loaded with Cubs memorabilia. The food is good, but the service can be slow. On game days it gets packed. My most recent visit was on the Monday between World Series games in 2016. It wasn't crowded and we had a nice time. While the service was slow, we didn't have anywhere else to be... We enjoyed our beers and burgers.

Nothing in Chicago is cheap and this place is no exception however if you are going to a Cubs game it is my choice for pregame activity. The wait staff is friendly, the food is good and it is right across the street from Wrigley.

Most people say Chicago has the best food, and I agree. But this pub knocks them all out of the park! We went for lunch on a non game day, so they weren't that busy. The food was delicious, and great sized portions. Will definitely go again.

We stopped at Murphy's Bleachers before the Pearl Jam concert on August 22, 2016. It's simply what you want before a Cubs game or concert! Tons of people all in a great mood, beer flowing, bartenders serving people very fast. Great beers on draft, outdoor seating and standing areas. Take the time to walk the length of it...it has several sections in the building, and near the back is an awesome scale model of Wrigley Field. If you're in the area, don't miss this place!!

We walked from our Hotel and everyone told us to go to Murphy's. Glad we did. Great food and drinks and loved the Atmosphere. We loved it so much we stopped again after the game! Great Bartenders.....

Perfect pre game or pre concert bar to soak in the Chicago scene. Place gets packed so get their early. Can take a nice sidewalk spot outside for people watching or chat it up with the locals at the bar.

Bar is right next to the stadium. Great place to go before, during, or after game. Tons of Space! Many bars so no wait time.

Don't plan on eating! Get there a bit early to be able to sit & relax. Just a unique pub/bar you will only find outside Wrigley!

No where on their website does it say that their game day menu is different. As an out of towner I have to rely on their website to see menus, hours of operation, etc. We show up early expecting to sit down and have a leisurely dinner before the Cubs game. That didn't happen. On game day they only have typical ballpark food (precooked) available that you purchase through a window. You have to go to the bar to order a drink. No table service at all. If that's what I wanted I could have just eaten at the ballpark. We ended up getting a burger, which was immediately handed to us wrapped in foil. Who knows how long it hade been sitting. I only ate half before getting sick. I felt so sick during the Cubs game that my husband had to go to the first aid station and get pepto for me.
Great anytime...
Of course this is one of the required spots for Cubs fans on gameday and hanging around outside is ordinarily the tradition. But we happened to stop in here on New Years Eve during the day to grab a few beers, have some apps and watch some college football and it just shows you that it doesn't have to be baseball season to enjoy Murphy's. There was a bloody mary bar set up too. The service and atmosphere are great and if you're a visitor to Chicago you need to give it a try. Cheers to Murphys.
