A nice surprise

By Antoinette H |

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the ingredients, the freshness of the vegetables. My husband's dish had fries and they weren't overly greasy. I will definitely go back when I have a hankering for a gyro!

Great Neighborhood Find

By Wendy K |

We last ate here probably 15 years ago or longer, with work and kids forgot it was here. As empty nest retirees we wanted a place to eat dinner today where we could walk and not have to drive in the Seattle snow. This place fit the bill. Fast service since we were there early, and only other customers were take out. Classic Gyros huge. Moussaka comes with soup or salad, potatoes or orzo and pita bread. Lots of food for a reasonable price. Pretty tasty. We will return!

Not very good at all

By hanalea |

This is maybe one of the worst Greek restaurants we have been to. Ikaros in Baltimore, Greektown places in Chicago, Kokkari in SF-all fantastic. The lamb souvlaki was good, and the Greek potatoes and eggplant dip were ok. Everything else-moussaka, orzo with tomato sauce, Greek salad-horrible. And no alcohol to sooth the disappointment.

great greek food

By Jesena |

Yummy! We went there for lunch on a weekend, the restaurant is basic, but the food is delicious. We had the lamb gyro and it was seasoned well and the sauce was great too. Portions are good and the prices are terrific. Service was also friendly and fast, the only downside is parking in this area, we circled for quite a while to find a spot.

Outstanding Food!

By RealisticMe4U |

I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, and I always leave full (or take it home to enjoy). On top of having great food, the people are amazing there. They recognize and remember us and always take time to chat. I suggest this place every time someone asks for fantastic Greek food.

Super solid Greek cuisine!

By iocat |

There isn't enough Greek cuisine in Seattle and this is a great place for gyros or other Greek specialties, esp. chicken lemon soup. Really nice folks working there, and always a good meal. Plus there's dedicated parking open in front for pick-up.

Not bad, but nothing special

By vamsally |

There is nothing bad about this place. Location is fairly nice (near Greenlake), the restaurant is presentable, the food isn't bad. It's just all around average. Their food is Greek, which I like, but again, it hasn't really hit me with anything resembling fabulous. Still, a nice place to go eat and hang out.

Authentic Greek food, simply fantastic

By Ingo S |

We visited this restaurant after our dog walk in green lake park Seattle. Staff was very helpful and friendly. There was no outdoor seating when we came but the waitress set us up with a table quickly. One look at the menu and my wife who lived in Greece said straight away; this place has a Greek chef! Only authentic Greeks can make a certain salad and soup. We ordered calamari, egg plant and saganaki as starters. All awesome Combined with tzaziki and pita bread. As a main we moussaka and two gyros. Both dishes just tasted authentic as all of us ate Greek food in Europe in the past. We would definitely go back and would highly recommend Mykonos.

Nice Neighborhood Spot

Good choice in the Green Lake area. Suitable for groups with some outdoor tables. Seems like a go to place for families who live in the area. Food was well prepared and fairly priced. Combine that with Greek wine and excellent service makes this a solid pick.

Great Food, Basic Setting

By diegodogCalgary |

We were in Seattle towards the end of June, and settled on this spot for our first dinner. The room itself is very basic, but the food and service were fantastic. Spouse and I both chose the lamb chop special and the chef added a couple extra chops each for us as they were small, and we were very glad he did. Boy, were those very tasty chops - if we could have gotten away with it, we would have chewed the bones themselves. The server made sure we were happy with both the food and the wine, and the amount of wine poured was generous. I think we paid about 40.00 all told and left happy.

An Average Greek House

By redhead_roaming |

The good here was pretty good but nothing special. We were not that happy with the service. The waitress seemed like she was the type of person who gets anxiety talking to people. We felt rushed the entire time. The inside was very old-school but they had some cute seating outside. I would only return if I was in the area and wanted some Greek food.

A+ Greek Food

By Rumples |

We ate lunch here on the 4th of July and I could almost see aerial fireworks when I bit into my chicken souvlaki sandwich ($7.85). It was really that good -- a huge portion of warm, soft pita bread, featuring tender chunks of grilled chicken breast and lots of veggies. My side order of Greek fries (crispy regular fries with oregano and feta cheese) added $3.50 to the bill and much more to the taste experience. I offered my husband one and he kept coming back for more. He chose one of the daily specials -- three grilled lamb chops and a green salad ($14.85). The delicious lamb proved to be superb and the salad extremely fresh and plentiful. For dessert, we shared a slice of semolina cake ($4) that seemed to have come fresh from the oven and had exquisite flavor. I'm a big fan of Greek food and have eaten this fare worldwide, including Greece. I have to admit that I've never entered a Greek restaurant that I haven't liked, but I loved this place, which I would rank in the top 5 percent of those where I have dined. The decor is minimalist with about 14 nicely spaced tables inside and three outside. The dining room opens to the kitchen where the chef prepares the meals. He worked like a well-oiled machine, ensuring that the customers sitting at 10 of the tables when we were there at 1 p.m. received their food in a timely manner. The waitress (I think that she and the chef own the restaurant) served all the tables, doing an incredible job at taking and delivering orders, checking on diners, refilling water glasses, packaging orders to go and remaining calm and extremely pleasant throughout. What a duo! Mykonos Greek Grill stands on the east side of Green Lake Park about a block away. It is the perfect place to get food to go for a picnic at the park. Metered street parking is available and there is at least one parking garage nearby. But this was a free parking day and we were lucky to find a space within a block of the restaurant.

Great Greek in Greenlake

By Essay4 |

Every time I visit the Greenlake area I'm drawn to Mykonos for dinner. I suspect some kind of magnetic pull in their dip sampler appetizer; one bite of the tyrokaftiri and I'm not moving until the pita bread is gone. The service is excellent, the food is delicious and perfectly prepared, and the only challenge is restraining yourself from ordering half the menu. Then again, leftovers are always a good thing when they're from Mykonos. Within walking distance from the lake, and perfect for a meal after walking around the lake. What's not to love?

Very good food

By 1RoadTripMom |

I drove to this restaurant due to its great reviews. It was worth the drive. The atmosphere is noting to write home about but it was really good food and large portions. I ordered a small Greek salad and a cup of soup and could not finish it all. The service was mediocre but the food was what I came for not the people. I would recommend this restaurant.

Better be Hungry

Vegetarian options - friendly staff - a lot of food for the price - seems to be a favorite with locals

The BEST gyros ever

By LavenderSeattle |

We were st Green Lake park and decided this is what we wanted hit lunch. Just a short walk away snd we had the most tasty treat ever. Love the herbs and the tender meat on the most wonderful pita bread. You can eat inside, if you can find a seat in their small cafe. We usually get them to go for picnicking at the park or taking home. Yummy.

Authentic Greek Grill!

By Christine G |

Kudos to this family run business! Amazing menu and taste of Greece. Anything on this menu is fantastic. And the owners are wonderful!

Sweet Neighborhood Bistro

By Kate S |

This Greek restaurant is close to Green Lake and a great place to eat after walking the lake. It is small and basic in decor. The staff is friendly and efficient--the service is always good. Friends who've been to Greece tell me that the food is authentic, but I just know it is tasty. In this pricey city, it is a good value. Best place in the neighborhood for a casual meal.

the best lamb chops in seattle

By chefpanos |

as I was walking around green lake in Seattle I noticed a small Greek restaurant.it was hiding at the side of a little street next to a fitness studio.as I walked in the hostess zarina she was so friendly and hospitable.i felt like I was in Greece .her husband bobby in the kitchen a master of his own. he was cooking souvlaki , lamb chops ,pastitsio, and gyro. we sat for lunch .the place was full of local happy customers, i order the lamb chops and my companion ordered the gyro platter WOW what a lunch the best lamb chops I had for a long time better than Greece , the gyro platter was as well very tasty . and a very large portion with salad and fries. we where treated with a nice piece of baklava and Greek coffee.2 days later we decided to take our friends and go for dinner when i called the owner chef bobby .and his wife zarina they recommended to let bobby to be creative treating all 8 of us with a special Greek feast of his creative Geek cuisine .I have no words to describe all the dishes that parade in our table, fried zucchini, tzatziki, dolmades, souvlaki of lamb and chicken, soutzoukakia, lamb chops ,patsitsio. Greek salad, avgolemono soup. and some Greek wines. when in Seattle I will be back over and over again...excellent job thank you zarina and bobby, it was a very nice dinner my friends they all talk about it , and I am sure they will be your new customers for the winter..

By tangoman |

we love this restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. a nice family restaurant with authentic greek food. we leave with gyro's and mousaka. big portions, friendly service. not a fancy restaurant but more like you would find on the islands in Greece.

Best Greek food in the neighborhood

By ld mom |

We go here often with a friend who always has the lamb chops because they are so good. They serve great gyros sandwiches as well.

DE-LIC-OUS

By Jennifer R |

So it's easy to write off this restaurant based on the slightly sterile atmosphere, however that would be a mistake. The food is delicious, consistent and the Greek wine is fine. The staff are super nice, and accommodating to special requests. The lamb is always good; the prawn appetizer is amazing, the pita is plentiful and served warm. The appetizer selections are great.

Nice little spot

By AntonioManzenetta |

We took my wife's mother mother here for her birthday after a walk around green lake. Not fantastic, but good food and friendly service. Mom loved her lamb chops and two of us had the lamb gyros with feta. Very nice. Small place, clean and friendly with good service. A nice place to go after a couple of loops around the lake.

Fabulous Gyros - Took Half Home!

By Catherine M |

Mykonos is a quaint little restaurant overlooking Green Lake. Decor is simple and the food is great. I had the Classic Gyro. The pita was really fresh, the meat had great flavor and was very tender. The toppings and tzatziki added more flavor dripped down your fingers at each bite. The waitress immediately followed up with more napkins and moist towelettes! The serving size was HUGE so lunch the next day was equally as good. The price was very affordable! My son ordered the Lamb Souvlaki Gryo. Although he ate the entire Gryo, he said the size was more than sufficient. He indicated the meat was very well prepared also. I wish I could have tried other items, but we were limited on time. The service was very prompt and friendly. Appears to be a family operation. I will definately go back.

Nice Greek Restaurant

By Nann Z |

A small place whose quality outdoes its size. We did takeout,so I can't comment on the service except to say the woman who took our order and gave it to us when we got there was most pleasant. But on to the food. Everything we had was very good with only one exception, and I will get to that at the end of this review. We both had mezza, so we could try a lot of different things. I had dolmads, gyro and melanzana salata. My husband had lentil soup, yigantes yahni, and the eggplant. The portions were so large I could not finish and had the gyro the next day. For dessert we had walnut cake which was extraordinary, just oozing honey. But the baklava was our only disappointment. It had too much crust and not enough filling, though what little there was was very good. The noise level was probably tolerable.

Huge Tasty Portions

By Rumples |

We went here for dinner at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday and were delighted, as always, with our meals. This simple mom-and-pop Greek restaurant focuses on home-style dishes rather than gourmet cuisine and jumps off the scale with quality and quantity. Customers sitting in the plain dining room, with a cluster of tables and chairs, can see the food being prepared in the open kitchen, and smell it, too. As soon as we entered, I felt like I was in a friend’s home, especially when greeted warmly by the server, whom I think is one of the owners. Most tables were still vacant, and she offered us one by the window, which overlooks 72nd Street. The menu lists the usual Greek specialties, and I chose a chicken souvlaki gyro with Greek flies, complete with feta cheese. My husband opted for moussaka and a salad. I was momentarily overwhelmed when my plate arrived, overflowing with the biggest gyro that I have ever seen and a mound of perfectly prepared fries. After trying to tackle the pairing as delivered and dropping food on the table, I asked for an empty plate and transferred the gyro there. That solution worked. I noted a diner at an outside table on the sidewalk with a similar challenge. He ate his fries first and then tackled the overstuffed pita bread with gusto, occasionally using extra napkins in the process. Meanwhile, my husband quietly and enthusiastically consumed his big moussaka helping, announcing at the end that it had been the best he ever had. By the time we left, around 7:30 p.m., customers sat at most of the tables, and many people had come in to pick up orders to go. A good place to eat takeout orders is at the edge of Green Lake, just a block away. The downside to that nearby recreational area is the scarce street parking. But we found a space within a block of Mykonos Greek Grill.

Awesome gyro, great with kids

By Coconucci |

We went to the park for a date play with other toddler and after that we found this place and came in. The food was great, awesome gyros and it was great for the couple of toddlers with us. The staff super friendly and the service was great. High chairs available for toddlers.

Great neighborhood restaurant.

Easy delicious meal. My sister is vegan, I am not and this fit the bill. Homemade hummus, warm pitas and lamb gyros! Casual setting. Fast, friendly, family restaurant. We were stuffed when we left and our bill was less than $30!

Amazing Greek Food

By hometowntraveler |

If you go to Greek restaurants for the decor this will be a letdown. It is a very unpretentious little cafe just off of Greenlake. If you go for the food and the service you won't get any better. My husband and I wanted a quick bite before heading to a play at the Bathouse Theatre- and we hit a treasure trove. The grilled lamb chops were the best I have ever had and the moussaka was heavenly. Everything-- the greek salad, the kalamari, the hummus, the baklava, the carrot cake...were exceptional. And the service was great as well- friendly and inviting. Ordered a glass of wine and the waitress brought a couple of different wines for us to taste before we ordered. Loved it!

Fantastic authentic Greek food

By Jayant44 |

A small unpretentious restaurant right next to Green Lake in Seattle. Good service with side walk seating. It serves really excellent authentic Greek food, the best that I have had in the Seattle area. Their Lamb Gyro plate is superb with the lamb done just right. Far better than a lot of restaurants serving Greek food. Their soup and hummus was exceptional.I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for really good Greek food. You will not regret it..

great little find!

We had a nice lunch at this small Green Lake cafe! The souvlaki was delicious. Seemed like a family restaurant.

Delicious Greek food, generous portions, and friendly service.

Mykonos is a treasure. The food is always wonderful, the staff is warm and obliging (great catering!), and every meal is fun. Takeouts are promptly prepared and delicious to eat at home. Just a fabulous ethnic meal. Great, great Greek food.

Great quick gyro!

This is such a convenient location next to the park! We really wanted something easy to grab after spending the day at Green Lake. It was ready within minutes and we enjoyed our gyros outside of the building at a small table there. Gyros were huge and tasty!

Delicious Greek Food

By CCWSeattle |

Had the lamb chop special for lunch and could not be happier about a meal! The three chops were marinated and then grilled perfectly, the salad was fresh and plentiful, the dressing tasty, and the accompanying pita bread well portioned. I did not know about this place so convenient to Green Lake, and will ask friends to join me there after walks. Went with a Greek group, and we all agreed this was Greek food well done - thank you!

Popular place for casual meal with friends

By Zipster16 |

Just a block off Green Lake, this little restaurant was an ideal place to take my nephew & mother for a Sunday afternoon bite. We arrived at 4pm to an empty restaurant, but the place was buzzing and full when we left at 5:30. Service was prompt and friendly. The waitress let me taste a couple wines before I decided that I didn't want wine after all, and she didn't seem to begrudge my fickleness. We order the pork souvlaki platter, the chicken souvlaki platter and the gyros platter which were accompanied by either soup or salad plus orzo or greek potatoes. The portions were more than we could eat, giving us some take home snacks for later.
