Extremely disappointing!

By Jamaicanjudy |

Our server was good, only reason I gave it a 2. Food was horrible. My husband had a very expensive Mediterranean salad w shrimp. The salad had old, withered lettuce. We get better salads at Panera. I got the burrata salad w lobster. Both so disappointing. Why are these chefs because of all these ratings, jacking up the food price and serving crap? Not fair to the consumers. I really have to be disappointed w the food to write about it.

Eating with a view

By Ron K |

The view eating outside made for a favorable review. We had the fish sandwich which was outstanding. Pricing was fine and the server was very informative. Outside of the place the view of Miami made me regret not bringing my camera.

Menu needs to be less expensive

By Alberto S |

The place has a great view and environment and the staff provide an excellent service, but the menu is not attractive and too expensive. I suggest to change it for a simpler and less expensive menu

Incredible experience!

By JeremyDBoyd |

House made focaccia is the best I’ve ever had. Made in wood burning oven. Vanessa our server was amazing! We also had a special house made bolognese special which was AMAZING! Gio the GM was also very accommodating. I’m glad I didn’t listen to the reviews about how expensive it was because it really was affordable for an upscale restaurant. Oysters were something else!! Will return soon!

Warning!

By Mark R |

I don’t appreciate an unannounced 3% surcharge for using a credit card until swiping the card. The menu prices are certainly high enough to absorb same. Put these petty charges on your menu so the public is aware. Pasta was mundane to boot, the other dishes were fine.

Avoid this one - go somewhere else, anywhere else

By Michael H |

I would give this one a negative star if at all possible. It’s recently reopened and renamed to Noma Beach at Redfish. Any comparison to the previous Redfish Grill ends at the “at Redfish” and occupancy in the same building. Please don’t come here expecting anything like the previous Redfish Grill. The wait staff was attentive and apologetic for the long wait for food which was surprising considering the dining area was 80% empty,, on a Friday night (another contrast to the Redfish Grill which would have been packed). Terribly overpriced, miniature flavorless food. Save your money, frustration and money - go somewhere else, anywhere else.

A hidden gem, must experience!

By Wanderer30521664273 |

Hidden Gem Must visit in Miami stunning sunsets! Noma Beach has quickly become one of my favorite places in Miami. This was my third visit, and each time, it has exceeded expectations! From the breathtaking waterfront setting and stylish ambiance to the warm and attentive service, everything feels thoughtfully curated.   The owner herself celebrity Donatella Arpaia was walking the room and realized I had been there a few times and sat with us for a drink! Her passion for hospitality and deep connection with her staff shines through in every detail. The menu is full of standout dishes and creative cocktails. Some personal favorites:     •    Tuna crispy rice (a must!)     •    Burrata toast and Classic Caesar     •    Pear fiocchetti dolce (sweet and savory perfection)     •    Shrimp Fra Diavola     •    Wild mushroom risotto with crispy enoki     •    Frangelico tiramisu, Donatellas Obsession a Guava dulce de leche tres leches, and the most luscious vanilla gelato with coconut flakes     •    For drinks: the Hibiscus Margarita, “Donatella Made Me Do It,” and the refreshing cucumber cocktail The pricing is very fair for the quality and experience. You truly feel transported—like you’re on a private island retreat. Highly recommend for locals and travelers alike!  Bonus: Friday and Saturday night there is live music !

Noma

Noma Beach at Redfish is an absolute hidden gem. With stunning ocean views and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot for a memorable dining experience. The food is top-notch, showcasing fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the service is exceptional. A special shout-out to our server, Kevin, who made our visit even more enjoyable with his friendly and attentive service. If you’re looking for great food, breathtaking views, and a laid-back vibe, Noma Beach is a must-visit!

Jhon was an excellent server—super friendly, quick, and attentive. He made our dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Great service from start to finish

Great restaurant

By Adriana Q |

had an unforgettable dining experience at Noma Beach, thanks to our amazing waitress, Nathalia Cardona. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome with her warm personality and top-notch service. She had fantastic recommendations and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. The food was absolutely phenomenal! The Spicy Tuna Crisp was an explosion of flavor—crispy, fresh, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. The Meatball was equally impressive—tender, juicy, and packed with rich, savory goodness. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and exceeded our expectations. Nathalia’s attentiveness and menu knowledge made our experience even better. If you’re dining at Noma Beach, I highly recommend asking for her—she’ll make your visit truly special. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect place to enhance all your senses!

By Ana S |

Noma Beach at Redfish is a hidden gem at the end of Matheson Hammocks Park with breathtaking views of the city and the water. Truly a place to enhance your palate with luscious flavors in every bite! In the past we’ve come come here for dinner (highly recommend- gorgeous) but came for lunch this time around. We were a party of 6 with interior seating, facing the beach. We ordered a bottle of the Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc that went perfectly with the NOMA Salad (I had them add gorgonzola cheese to mine); it was spectacular! It is the most descent sized and filling salad (with the perfect amount of dressing) I’ve had a in a long time long time at a gourmet restaurant. The Spicy Salmon Crispy Rice was perfection, (be careful you will want to order more, irresistible). Chef Donatella has taken pizza to a whole new level, the mouthwatering Mushroom and Burrata Pizza was to die for! I’ve included an image with everything else we ordered, it was all delicious! While there, a server walked by with a lychee martini, it looked amazing; can’t wait to come back and try it, along with the rest of their specialty drinks! Let’s not forget dessert, we ordered the Frángelico Tiramisu, Donatella’s Obsession, and Chocolate heaven: WOW, WOW, WOW! Pick one or all, you won’t be disappointed! This is really a fabulous place for a romantic dinner, family or friends gathering, celebrations or just a girls night out- Thursday’s they have happy hour all night long, with music! What can I say, I LOVE this place, heighten all your senses and escape to a little piece of paradise without having to drive to the other side of town. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! #SupportLocal

Sad disappointment

By Joanne B |

This evening was a big disappointment. The eight of us ordered three appetizers. Donatella's famous meatballs were small and uninspired. We then waitied for over one hour and did not see our waiter once. I finally went to ask the hostess to please find the waiter. He came out and got the manager who was totally unsympathetic and offered no real reason or warmth. The food came out after that. The two deep fried snapper were good, but the other 6 meals were just ok,and the pasta alfredo with shrimp was tasteless. When we got the bill we asked he waiter if they had taken anything off for the endless wait and inconveniece , and he said he was sorry but the manager offered nothing not even a coffee with the dessert we had ordered. Even though we live close by and loved this restaurant in the past, we would not eat there again.

Good for out-of-towners, but beware the hidden fees

By Kotuko33146 |

Good for out-of-town guests who want to experience Miami dining. But beware, this restaurant automatically adds a 22% service fee (tip) AND an additional 3% for using your credit card! You end up paying 25% more than the price of the meal, which BTW is already somewhat pricey. The food was good, though rather uninspiring and conventional. The service was very good. The ambience was very Miami.

Just a little more

By ravealdo |

Obviously the location and view outdoors is excellent. We had dined here with the previous administration and the food was excellent then. It could be excellent now as well with just a few more seafood options on the menu. Lobster and burrata salad was excellent. Swordfish had so much potential but was dry (also read that on a previous review) so I don’t get why that minor detail cannot be addressed. Lobster risotto was also a bit dry. I feel that some easy fixes with the menu can make for a remarkable dining experience!

Awesome Miami Hot Spot

By Sheri E |

This restaurant has such a fun vibe and a gorgeous location. We ate outside in a cabana with a view of the beach but the mood lighting and decor are very high end, and so is the service. The food is incredible. Great cocktails and awesome atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

Somewhat Disappointed

By Edward D |

I was invited by my friends, a party of 6, as I was visiting and staying in Pompano Beach. After a fairly long drive we arrived at the restaurant which is secluded on Biscayne Bay. The restaurant was not crowded, being mid week. We sat outside on a very windy night and after being shown to our table, the server never came back to take our order for cocktails. We waited an extraordinarily long time before another employee who was not very proficient in English came and took our drinks order. Two of the drinks were incorrectly mixed and had to be returned. The meal , relatively in small portions, was average. Not a very good experience for such a highly rated restaurant.

Nickel and Dime

By ab s |

Today I had Lunch at Noma Beach at Redfish, and the view was the only memorable thing about it. Food was good and over priced, service was slow and not up to the task. It was irritating to get charge 3% to pay with a credit card, but worst is to get sales taxed on the food, credit card surcharge and 20% tip. I suppose the overcharged food is not enough.

Mediocre service and food

By pogginotes |

poor and not accommodating about simple changes for a customer The service was full of flaws and the food had no flavor at all. The bathrooms where filthy full of mountains of hand towels and toilet paper I had to let the host know because they were not paying attention Certainly management has no idea how to run a clean and upscale operation to charge 600 plus for 5 people dinner. The chef. Lack of talent.

great service

By Melina M |

thanks Nona beach for this great experience, the food were amazing, the meatballs were the best 100% recommended. The view and vibe that this place has its incredible thank you!

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE 😍

By Micky Santos |

Wow !!! amazing attention from Mr. John as he treated me and my family... as he spoke both English and Spanish could help us to the maximum in the menu choices. VOLVEREMOS!!!

Don't bother!

By Extraordinary227347 |

We made reservations for an early dinner outdoors in time for sunset and moonrise so the place was not packed. We did not order wine, drinks or appetizers, however it still took us more than an hour to get our meal. The restaurant has been open since 2022 yet the wait staff did not know where to deliver our meals, or to other couples at tables around us. In fact, we had to wave them down when we saw our meals on a tray going in the wrong direction. Management would not make a substitution on part of a $52 entree. Really! What has happened to customer service. The online menu is what got us there. They have not bothered to update their online menu nor the prices, a quick and easy process. I expected the plating to be exceptional, but it was hastily done and not terribly attractive. It was a chilly evening by the time we were served and the plates were not hot to help preserve the temperature of the food. And we had to ask to have the outdoor heaters turned on. We spoke with the manager about the overly loud and inappropriate music. He told they were required to use the playlists supplied to them. The music was not conducive to conversation nor digestion. We felt like we were in a nightclub, not a high end restaurant. Even the restrooms were poorly appointed and lacked hand towels early in the evening. We all agreed that it was a One and DONE. Prices are high, service it poor. Don't bother. Never would be too soon to go back.

Excellent!!!!

Very nice place to go with friends , John the waiter was on point great service , definitely come back …………………!!!!!!!!!!

Noma Beach by Redfish excellent experience.

By Ivan r. |

My first time trying out Noma Beach by Redfish and I had an excellent experience. The food, the drinks and the service was top-notch. We started with the meatballs as are appetizer and let me tell you they were yummy. We also had the whole fried snapper with the truffle fries and the Noma seafood tower and it was an excellent choice. One of the cool things was the fact that one of the chefs delivered are food to are table. We want to shout out Chef Carlos for his hospitality, and for his knowledge of the food, and for pointing us in the right direction as far as what to order to eat. Overall, just an excellent experience at Noma Beach by Redfish.

Don’t eat there

By Lisa Remeny |

The setting is beautiful but you can go there without being forced to listen to bad music blasting in your ears while you eat mediocre food at overinflated prices. I had my heart set on a dish that was in their online menu and when u got there was told the chef had changed the side and would not permit substitutions (even though I asked for what they had advertised) Not a great experience. At all!

Great location terrible service

By Paul K |

We were visiting our daughter in Miami and she recommended Redfish Grill in Coral Gables. we arrived at the time of our reservation and were seated. After about twenty five minutes and me wanting to leave immediately a waitress came our to our table and apologized for our wait and took our drink order. after another 25 minutes the drinks arrived and we placed our order. after another 30 minutes our food arrived and we ate. there was never a management person to be seen who we could complain to and we have a miserable night, We will not be going back to this place.

NOMA BEACH at Redfish - a disappointing “average” restaurant

By byMT305 |

Situated beach front in a one-of-a-kind location off Old Cutler Road, Chef Donatella Arpaia’s NOMA BEACH is the latest attempt to resurrect a good restaurant here. Based on a recent dinner visit, this attempt is not successful. We tried: Margarita - a mediocre ($22) “mix” drink Chocolate Old Fashioned - way too sweet “Famous” Meatballs - mediocre (reheated?) Chopped salad - tasty, but soggy over-dressing’d Grilled calamari - as tough as rubber Swordfish entree - overcooked/dry fish (unfortunate as the olive tapenade was tasty) Lobster pappardelle - clumped pasta in a dry herbed coating; badly needed more sauce (for which a tomato sauce would have been a vast improvement) Tiramisu - a VERY “heavy” tiramisu served in a martini glass; overcoated w/ pistachio nuts Table Service was “confused” with lengthy gaps between ordering & receiving drinks, foods etc. The outdoor setting is lovely. Sadly, our sampling a numerous food items yielded pretty much nothing that we’d order again.

100% recommended

I enjoyed going to NOMA. The food was amazing, the ambience was perfect. The recommendations given to us by John were incredible. He was very attentive and definitely made us want to go back. Thank you!

Best night with my family

I loved the attention they gave me and my family. Young John attended us in the best way, and he could help us a lot in the choice and especially his excellent way of attending... I will be back with friends 👌🏼

What an amazing experience! Best restaurant in Miami, Waterfront stunning views, great food from the appetizers to dessert, incredible drinks and impeccable service!! Coming back soon!

Beautiful place with amazing food.

Had an amazing lunch at Noma. Gorgeous view and the staff were so hospitable and attentive. My sweet gorgonzola pasta dish was rich and decadent. Really delicious! Highly recommend.

Terrible service; esp for $150 pp

By Peter P |

Very good food but service was so inattentive that it ruined the meal… restaurant was slow and 45 minutes to get a drink, asked 3 times before we got water, 7 minutes between bringing first 3 entrees and other 2; waited 20 minutes to get check after we were clearly ready to leave (but entire waitstaff were in kitchen talking).

Expensive but delicious food.

By Giselle G |

Ambience is great. Food is delicious but small portions. At Open Table it asked, what was the occasion of reservation., and I said “anniversary.” We got married at the Noma Beach Lagoon area 3 years ago, We’re retired seniors and food is extremely expensive here. We thought restaurant would treat us to a dessert or a drink since they knew of special occasion. Didn’t happen! 😗

10/10 experience!!

By Ariana E |

This restaurant is divine! The food is delicious, the service by John was excellent and the ambience is priceless. I went for dinner with my husband, we had the truffle carbonara & the mushroom risotto which we highly recommend! We had the best time, even got serenaded by their saxophonist! We will be returning!!

Impressed!

By Christy R |

So i finally had the chance to go eat at Noma beach. I'm thrilled that I relied on positive reviews. It's safe to say that this place is a far cry from the old Redfish. The incredible sunsets and stunning views, and it's truly impressive and I'm amazed with how they have transformed the space. We enjoyed the crab cake, lobster, and burrata salad. The warm and friendly service, particularly from Vanessa, was outstanding..I recommend going and your wont regret it.

Must try!

By Vanessa V |

Amazing time at Noma beach, food was outstanding and service was even better! Manager Gio was very attention and always making sure we were having a good time. Can’t wait to be back!

Way way way overpriced; food quality terrible; could be a great view and location with a much more focused management.

By Allison R |

Absolutely terrible. Miami is known for its restaurants and this is an embarrassment. We should have known when we walked in - the place was about 10% full. Many of the rest of the tables were in varying states of disarray and/or dirty. Flies everywhere. The most disappointing was the price for the quality of the food. Three adults and one child - two of us shared a meal and salad. Three cocktails in total. $400.00. No dessert. $8.00 lemonade. Food quality was mediocre at best - salad could have been purchased at a Wendy's and would have been the same quality and taste. The two servers were nice and trying to make the best out of it. 100% will not go back. Major disappointment with a great view of downtown and a location that should be prime. Management appeared present and at or around the bar most of the time. The main reason I am wasting my time with this review is so that others do not waste their time and money on this place. I am sad because I agreed to let my 94 year old grandmother take us to dinner. So, she paid for this "experience." There was no way I could have talked her out of it. Super sad and ridiculous.

Mediocre. Do not waste your time or money.

By Robert S |

The only good thing about this place is the view and outdoor seating is relaxing and enjoyable. The rest of the dining experience was a disaster. Service was slow and inept and there was only two tables occupied. Ordered the "award winning" meatballs. What a disappointment. Average at best. No particular wow factor. Have had far better meatballs for half the price. Mushroom risotto had an odd taste. I believe the rice was probably burned in preparation. Rigatoni with vodka sauce was not al dente. In fact it was so mushy that the pasta was beginning to fall apart. The sauce was weak and watery. Food not worth the trip. Received the bill and noticed it seemed high for what we had ordered. Pointed out to waiter that entrees seemed to be billed at a much higher price than stated on menu. In fact the billed price was $16.00 above the menu price. Claimed computer glitch and corrected it but everthing just seemed off for a supposed fine dining experience. Also menu very limited. Do not waste time or money here. Far better options out there.

Divine Beachside Setting, Donatella Meatballs Too!

By Mike36536 |

We had a splendid dining experience at Noma Beach at Redfish today, February 10. The beachside setting is one we have enjoyed several times in the past under different management but famous Iron Chef Judge Donatella Arpaia is now putting her own special and personal touch that should not be missed if you are in Miami or nearby (Gables, Coconut Grove). Also we had a wonderful and knowledgeable server in April who walked us thru the new menu And wine list with much expertise. She is an important part of the 5 star rating of this special place. The restaurant is located adjacent to Fairchild Botanical Gardens another worthwhile stop. Enjoy!

Amazing time at Noma

Fun birthday celebration

Hidden Gem

By Melissa P |

I visited a friend in Miami and she suggested this restaurant Inwent years ago and didn’t love it but it has been completely redone and it was spectacular! it was raining when we went so we sat indoors but it was still stunning and cozy. had the rigatoni and meatballs and my husband had the fried snapper! They had a good kids menu as well! The sun came out and kids played in beach after lunch - it’s definitely a secret hidden gem in coral gables! I will definitely be back

Good Memory!

By citizen0103 |

Couldn’t wait to write this review. We had been here before when it was owned by Chef Adrienne, who we Love, but couldn’t remember that visit. This time, while we Loved everything that touched our tongue, the service also stood out. I’m sure we will remember and be back! Our server Chris was so attentive and genuine. It was New Year’s Eve and it was pretty busy, so everything wasn’t perfect, but he really hussled to get things right, and he even said he took pride in his work. He was more concerned about our wobbly table than we were! As to the food, everything was truly delicious, including the ricotta cheese/honey/truffle butter! 🤯 The mussels were Good quality and the butter, garlic, wine, etc, sauce was one of the best we’ve had. It’s unusual to rave about a Caesar salad, but this one was totally worthy. Then we had the whole fried snapper (with a salad), truffle mashed potatoes, and the crispy spicy cauliflower (not spicy to me). Not sure what’s in the cauliflower but we ate every bit! Did I already say everything was delicious? Well it was!😋 On top of all this goodness, and the beautiful outdoor setting on the water, with just the right South Florida temperature there was music and a saxophonist. It wasn’t too loud and the kind and variety of music was perfect for the evening!💫

Wonderful evening

By DiveSkiSabina |

We had a wonderful experience. After reading some other reviews we realized it might be hit or miss. It was a hit. We were welcomed by Michelle, choosing inside or outside seating. Even though it was Saturday September 2nd, we opted for outside. With a fan we never even broke a sweat, the weather was perfect at 6PM. The views of the water are breathtaking. David, our server, started is off with a martini and a water melon based drink. The bar tender matched the perfect flavors. As summer gave us the option for Miami Spice we started with the tuna ceviche. Absolutely delicious, melt in your mouth. Since we do not eat meat, the Branzino was out go to. Perfect presentation cooked over a saffron risotto. Delicious. I also had the Noma salad, with baby green, all crisp freshy cut veggies was the perfect healthy addition. The views: perfect, the service: perfect, the food: perfect. All we wondered is why we were even able to get a table. All around experience was great and we will definitely be back to sample other items on the menu.
