Went there as it has a good ranking in the neighbourhood we were in and were not disappointed. Went there twice during our stay. Very good food, friendly staff.

I woke up with a taste for Indian food and since I was shopping in the neighborhood, I decided to eat at Namaste because I had had a previous pleasant experience. The all-you-can-eat buffet is a no-frills affair with decent choice and quite tasty for $12. I also had a huge plain naan for $4 and the most delicious lemonade with fresh mint for $4. Service is impeccable and attentive.

I know, you don't usually call an Indian restaurant a bistro, but its tiny size and intimate décor evoked this noun in my mind. Menu is standard Indian fare, and very tasty. Attentive service. The standout aspect is their tiny garden patio room out back. We had a lovely August evening and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We ate dinner. They offer a buffet at lunchtime.

I've been in Park Slope for 15 years and Namaste is way better than Amin or Baluchis. They even dabble in Indian Chinese, for those who know their manchurian. Quick delivery and nice soft naan. And this is coming from someone who grew up in Bombay.

I had a very nice dinner there tonight with very good Dal Makhini, Saag Paneer, and especially delicious garlic naan. We ate early and therefore it was not crowded, so the service was especially good. It was was my first time there and I plan to go back and order in. Excellent dinner!

I usually go looking for Indian food after a few days, and my last stay in Brooklyn led me to this place. Ate there twice. Found it reasonably decent n terms of food, service & price. But don't go expecting the best gourmet Indian food, if you don't want to be disappointed; especially if you are a connosieur

I've been to Namaste in Park Slope several times since it opened less than a year ago. Every meal I've had has been delicious - and dinner with my husband this past Friday night was no exception. We started off by sharing a large Kingfisher beer and an order of Vegetable Pakoras - battered and fried assorted vegetable fritters. I've had these many times in other Indian restaurants and they can be greasy and kind of one note, taste-wise. These were not greasy, but light and flavorful and cooked with a variety of spices. Next we shared an order of Salmon Tikka which was cooked in the tandoori oven. It was a plentiful portion of deliciously seasoned salmon, cooked to perfection. As a side dish, we shared an order of Vegetable Jafreze - a lovely blend of mixed vegetables in a tangy tomato-based sauce. We did not order any bread this time, but I do know that their nans are delicious from previous experience. The service is always friendly and attentive. All in all, Namaste is a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

We visited this by chance and were sucked in by the $12 all you can eat buffet. The food was great, especially the saag, curried goat and the tikka masala. The service was lovely, the guy running it was so welcoming and created a really nice atmosphere for all of the diners. At the end of our meal he brought us a sweet carrot dish which was really different and delicious. Definitely recommend!

Decent place for a Indian Buffet. Selection minimal but still pretty tasty. $12 for all you can eat.

This place was expensive and not good. Veg samosas smelled so bad that we had to throw away 2 orders. It seemed like oil used to fry them was bad or used to fry fish so it had terrible smell. Other two dishes were very oily and got me nauseous couple of hours later.

Park Slope has recently felt the lack of a good Indian restaurant, so when Namaste opened a few months ago, the DH and I were happy to try them out. We've been there about 4 times and ordered take-out at least that many times. They have the traditional Indian dishes but with an extra twist on some. Our favorites: gobhi Manchurian, samosa chat, vegetable samosa, any jalfrazee, channa saag, eggplant bharta, cheese naan, chicken or lamb tikka masala. Not a fancy place, on the small side but not jammed, very accommodating staff, gets lots of take-out orders but on a Saturday night, we were the only customers there. Brooklynites and tourists to Brooklyn, go! Namaste is really good. And we hope they stick around for a long time.

This would rate between a 3 and a 4 rating: I gave it a 4 because I was craving those Indian flavors and heat, and was staying nearby. I ordered a curry dish and requested it "Indian hot". It was nicely spiced; some of the meat was a bit gristly, and the potato pieces could have been a bit smaller.

We went on a Sunday evening, the place was half full. They’re serving tap water and bread immidiately. We ordered lamb and a vegan meal,it was very delicious. The staff is friendly and came to our table to ask if the food is tasty an refill our glases. However we received the bill right after the main dish, but we didn’t ask for.So we decided to stay and not order anything else.

Tried many Indian restaurants all over the world… but this one tasted realy different, but in an excellent tastefull way. Firm mango lassi 5,-… fluffy and crisp garlic naan 4,50 Tender and refreshing herayali kebab( chicken cubes) to die for 17,- full tasting chicken Kadafi 17,- veggie malai kofta, mild 15,- and veggie saag paneer 15,- nice non sticking rice and the sauces are a meal on its own Correct/fast/friendly staff Even linnen napkins Near a subway station on 4th ave I’m an overnight fan Bert Netherlands Only negotiable minus is the takeaway… but it makes it more lively

Pretty darn good for delivery in Park Slope. I still dream that our favorite UES Indian place will open a satellite branch in Brooklyn, but barring that, Namaste will definitely be our go-to takeout Indian restaurant. Nice variety of dishes all well prepared. Nothing stands out as a destination restaurant experience, and thus the 4 stars, but their delivery is always prompt and the food always inviting. Very nice addition to the neighborhood, and I hope they'll stick around for years to come.

Simple but comfortable restaurant with delicious authentic Indian food. Excellent unhurried service. Our teens loved it. We will go back.

the food was amazing! some of the best indian food ive ever had & indian is my favorite kind of food. we got there later than we wanted & we still had excellent service from whom seem to be the owner. he offered us to customize our own spice levels by giving us a homemade hot sauce (YUM)! everything was fresh & delicious! the atmosphere and ambience was nice and moody. perfect place for a date night! at the end the owner brought me a mango yogurt rose water drink which paired beautifully with the dinner i had by neutralizing my palate. it was so tasty & it was the balance i didnt know i needed. i would 10/10 recommend going here & will definitely visit again! thank you Namaste

I love Indian food. I ordered mushrooms tanduri and chicken biryani. Both were very good and pretty big. The service was friendly and a bit slow. The price was fair, especially if comparing to near by restaurants. Very recommended

I went here on my own in search of a late meal after returning to Brooklyn post-trave (crucialy they close at 10:30 rather than the average10pm closings) The staff were welcoming and friendly without being overbearing. The food was as excellent as any good British-Indian curry - basic choice and nothing fancy but notably very nicely prepared and cooked. Also the location is a lovely one, set on delightful 5th Avenue, where there is a Eurposean feel among the various bars and eateries on offer. I only wish I'd had time to go back.
A bit soulless on our visit
We had chicken and lamb dishes that were quite nice but what spoiled it for us was the atmosphere, or rather, the lack of it. We went on a Saturday night but only one other table was occupied while we were there. Some take-away orders were collected and perhaps that is the best way to enjoy their food. Something needs to be done by management to liven up the restaurant. It felt dull and gloomy.
