I have lived in Australia, Asia, Europe and USA and this restaurant in Atlanta is one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been. It’s consistently very, very good and never disappoints.

We enjoyed our meal. Service was excellent. Love the atmosphere and the decor. Food was delicious. Thank you. We will be back.

been wanting to try for long time, was amazing, service excellent, food EXCELLENT, drinks (lychee martini) excellent and will be back.

I have been coming here for years -- literally -- and expected that last Thursday night celebrating the promotion of one of my colleagues to partner with a group of seven to be a safe bet for good food and service. I dropped off a nice bottle of rose champagne and a back-up bottle of 2004 Bordeaux. I asked that they chill the champagne (which they did) and decant the Bordeaux (which they didn't). The only comment I got was "are you aware of our corkage fee?" Nice welcome when bring a party of seven . Foreshadowing of things to come. . I digress. Showed up for dinner at 7:30 -- restaurant was not busy but we waited for 15 mins to be seated. Things started off smoothly when they brought the champagne. Ordered a bottle of Sancerre to go with the Tasting Trees (x2) that we ordered and a bottle of Rhone because since they had not decanted the Bordeaux we needed something while the old guy opened up. The Sancerre arrived when we were pretty much done with the Tasting Tree -- over 30 mins. The special was lobster Pad Thai which two of us got -- lobster was significantly overcooked -- very dry. Same result for the snapper. Very disappointed. Stay away from anything that is deep fried. Frankly, I am staying away. There are other Thai restaurants with better food such as Tamarind and Tuk Tuk. It has been a good run at Nan but all good things eventually come to an end. The End.

The service, food, and presentation are awesome. I had the lamb shank and my wife the seafood lobster special ($60) which was fried. The lamb ($28) was plentiful but not enough white rice so I asked for more and got charged $3! And none of the alcohol—save the wine—has the price listed on the menu - annoying. We were satisfied with our meal, but there are other Thai restaurants with similar food that will not break the bank.

I sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed the bartender, our quality conversation and amazing food. I would love to go back and try more items. Delicious!!!

I was ready for something a bit different so we gave Nan Thai a try. The decor is very nice. I loved the bathroom! All the staff were very friendly. My very favorite item was the Tasting Tree. I would highly recommend it! The shrimp, calamari, rice paper rolls, everything on it was loaded with flavor and presented quite cleverly. My chicken dish was a little blander than I would’ve expected. There seemed to be some disconnect and confusion between our servers, but not a major issue. I would go back just for the Tasting Tree!

I was not disappointed by the food and service. It's higher end Thai as far as the cost and set up, but the service is great and the food was very good. The appetizer sampler was very good and each dish we had was excellent. The service is top notch. I would recommend to those looking for a high end Thai experience.

Incredible restaurant. Everyone was so kind. Free valet parking was cool as well. Our server Hien (Sorry if misspelled) was great with recommendations and super friendly. As far as the food goes it was delicious. Home made coconut cake was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend.

We had a guest from out of town and wanted to take him to a great restaurant that would give him a unique experience. We chose Nan's as we had eaten there once or twice before. The menu items so we eat chose something different. The food was fabulous and our server was excellent. It was a

My wife and I went here to celebrate our anniversary, we were greeted with kindness and an amazing server. The service and food were fantastic and we couldn't have asked for anymore. This restaurant was recommended to me by someone from Singapore and after being here I can see why he recommended it to me. We cannot wait to come back here to experience more of the great service and menu. Thank you Charlie, Chef Nan and all your staff for such a wonderful Anniversary meal and experience. *****

My experience at Nan Thai Fine Dining was good, not great. I would not put it above an average good Thai restuarant. I went there this summer (July 2022) and had a business dinner party of 11. I would not call it fine dining. (All photos are attached.) The soup was pretty good - it was coconut soup with lobster. It is commonly known as Tom Ka. It lacked spice and was bland for Thai standards but still good. The most dissapointing thing was the seafood special whose description by the waitress tempted most of the group to order it. It turned out to be a bunch of seafood (lobster, shrimp, and scallops) all battered (in the same batter) and fried and plated. No sauce (very little), nothing savory, and nothing Thai about it. I could have gotten this at any street Thai restaurant or even a fast food place. It all tasted the same, some of it rubbery, and was probaly the cheapest and fastest way to prepare this "special". The desserts (I had two) were OK, again, nothing I would call fine dining. The long serving plate of the creme brulee was dramatic but its taste was nothing special. The ice cream had an exotic fruit and this was the most Thai part of the meal. The service was fine - but don't expect jacket and tie waiters. To put it clearly, it is a good Thai restaurant - that's it. It is NOT a fine dining restaurant and not worthy of the fine dining prices.

Well if you have read my other reviews you know that I am a Thai food fan...this restaurant is a legend in ATL. This is part of the Niyomkul family owned line of restaurants run by Nan (mom) and DeeDee (daughter and runs TukTuk one of their other gems!) and it doesn't disappoint. The price point is higher but well worth it. The decor is beautiful and the service is wonderful! Went for lunch with a friend last week and enjoyed Pad Thai, Sea bass and Fried Rice. Great wine offerings as well!!

Thank you Chef Nan for another great dinner! We go to Nan Thai Fine Dining a lot and everytime we go, Chef Nan does not disappoint. The wait staff is very attentive and the food is phenomenal!!!!!

Delicious food served by an amazing and excellent staff. This is one of the fine dining i visited 2 time in last couple of months.

Business lunch meeting. Food and service was excellent. Justin was very attentive and helpful. Definitely my go to place!

Nan is one of the most charming Asian restaurants in which to dine. The service is excellent, attentive but not intrusive. The selection of menu items is large, well described on the menu and simply delicious. The fish selections are fresh and interestingly prepared. I especially enjoyed the Dover Sole, an unusual offering in an Asian restaurant. It is prepared crispy with chopped chicken around it. It has a brand new sister restaurant called Chai Yo in Buckhead. I cannot wait to review this when it appears on your listing.

Service was wonderful, although entrées took an hour to arrive after ordering on a busy Saturday night. Ambience is fine dining with medium noise level. We had delicious chicken and shrimp dumplings for appetizers. We found the sauce on both entrées too sweet for our tastes, although the Seabass was cooked to perfection. Fried okra with Thai food was a nice treat for someone who does not usually get to enjoy Southern food. If you enjoy food on the sweet side, give it a five.

We arrived at opening to an empty restaurant and a brisk “do you have a reservation!!!”. Should have walked out. We were taken to a terrible table. Empty restaurant, terrible table. Should have walked out. Ordered the food and “rice comes with that” and we’re served delicious food promptly. Then we were ignored for 20 minutes and watched them seat the only other person in the place at a terrible table. Got the bill and what do you know but “rice comes with that” means say hello to a $6 charge for rice. Great. The final straw was getting my credit card bill and they treated themselves to the tip they wanted versus the one they actually earned. Yes charge me more than I signed for which was pretty on brand for the dinner. The food was outstanding. The experience was awful. And so three stars. We will not be back.

Joined two friends for an evening of sampling different Thai dishes! The staff were very hospitable, even with us lingering after the meal. We were able to sample two different seafood presentations (delicious sauces and beautifully presented and perfectly prepared shrimp, lobster, scallops, and calimari), along with a chicken and pork entree. Each had distinctive flavors and were generous portions with different rice flavors. Since we are from the Midwest, we have limited exposure to Thai cuisine, but all were prepared in an interesting manner that appealed to our palates. Don't hesitate to share, as they were all served family style for us. We did have room to explore the dessert menu, incuding a creme brulee, coconut cake, and a flan. These were also well executed, and light enough to leave us satisfied but not overfilled. Will definitely return! The atmosphere is very beautiful, with lots of candle light and excellent attention and service.

I went to Georgia for a quick weekend trip and I found this place on the internet. It was high on the price range, but ooh was it worth the price. I had the duck dish and my sister had a pork dish. Despite us getting there 20 minutes before the kitchen closed, they were so accommodating. We even got dessert. The food was phenomenal! We had just come back from Thailand and found it difficult to find that genuine Thai cuisine in the states...until now. My only criticism would be for the bathroom. The flushes did have some issue which I think contributed to it's cleanliness.

Nan is a beautiful restaurant . As well, the food is delicious . We get the sampler platter for starters . The calamari is delicious . The short rib dinner is very good . Everything is.

I have never had a disappointing meal at Nan’s. I had the duck which was cooked perfectly. I love their calamari, it’s always crispy and light, never oily. Service at Nan’s is impeccable, attentive without being overbearing. I love the decor and the restaurant never gets too noisy. Meals at Nan’s are delicious and relaxing. It is one of my most favorite restaurants in the city.

Not your typical Thai restaurant. The food and presentation are awesome...the quantity a bit light and definitely more than I expected to pay. There wasn't enough rice on one of the plates so I asked for more and got charged $6. A bit over the top, probably not going back, just on principle!

If you want an elegant evening with outstanding Thai food this is the place for you in Midtown Atlanta. It far surpasses the decor that you would find in similar restaurants. The wait staff are very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was excellent and seasoned to my taste.

I can’t describe how amazing the venue. The service is top notch to accompany wonderful Thai cuisine, authentic and fresh. Br sure to try the appetizer sampler. I can’t wait to return.

Almost everything was great. At this price point - a detailed review. We started with the Appetizer Tree/Tower, VERY good value - Definitely try this!!!! I had the Fried Lobster, Shrimp & Scallops with pineapple rice $68. VERY good. Lini had the Panang $38- We love Thai food & this is one of the best meals we have had. Lini tried the Thai Tea - beautiful & flavorful as well. We tried the coconut cake & ice cream. The coconut cake at $10 was a disappointment - I know GOOD coconut cake (one of my favorites). Nan's appeared to have been frozen & partially soggy, definitely did not taste freshly made. This WAS NOT the best way to end a meal & should be corrected immediately. I noticed now there had been another negative comment. The coconut ice cream was only $2 & a definite winner. GG was especially attentive but needs to speak a little louder around old folks :). Total bill just under $200 including tip. As you have probably read, a little pricey considering that we don't drink alcohol but a memorable event and content considering ambience, quality of food and excellent service delivered by GG . The manger was ALWAYS within sight overseeing an attention to detail. As a former restaurant manager this attention to detail was not overlooked. Not to forget .. the restrooms had there own display of elegance. Another point of disappointment... reservation when made and staff when greeted, were made acutely aware that this was an anniversary dinner but there was ZERO recognition of that or congratulations... MAJOR faux pau! I hope the manager reads these comments. Nan was listed at the top of TripAdvisor reviews in the past but has fallen significantly in the last year or so while others have risen. Attention to details makes all the difference at this level of dining. For the cost, I rate Overall 4.5 review = 5 Star in OpenTable review 4 Star in Trip Advisor. We'll try again, & to be fair will edit if warranted. Note to reviewers... please give detailed responses... saying it was good or bad without diving details is of little value.

Booked a dinner based on good reviews. Big mistake. The restaurant is elegant and the service attentive, but the food was mediocre at best. Had the shrimp and chicken dumplings, they tasted frozen. They were gummy and bland. Also ordered spring rolls. They were fried in elderly grease, and grease was all you could taste. The coconut and seafood soup was good. We ordered pad thai; which every Thai restaurant knows how to make except this one. This one came with shrimp, as expected, as well as large chunks of heavily fried chicken, a first for me. I have eaten pad thai numerous times, mostly in Toronto in modest Thai restaurants which are common there, and have never before had fried chicken in pad thai. The noodles were essentially unseasoned, with not a speck of tamarind flavor, and there was only a small handful of slivered green onions and a few pieces of peanuts for crunch. In other words, by far the worst and least flavorable pad thai I have ever had. Had coconut ice cream for dessert which was fine. It is a challenge to get food in the south that is not fried heavily, and perhaps Southern diners do not know what to expect from authentic Asian food. For more than three times the price of the same meal at the average hole in the wall in Duluth, diners can have something that tastes like Colonel Sanders was the cook.

I hosted a business dinner at Nan Thai and the restaurant met our expectations across the board: High quality food (accommodating each diner's needs), gracious and responsive service, reasonable prices for our business dinner.

High end Thai. Food was delicious. Nicely served and prepared. Can get Vegan or fish as well as meat dishes. Valet parking. $$$$

We arrived on Friday night for a 730pm dinner party to celebrate my cousin's 40th birthday at this restaurant which has complimentary valet parking. There were approximately 25 people in our group that arrived for our reservation (most of us had never been to this restaurant). We were seated in the back area where most of the tables were assigned to our group, maybe 1 or 2 tables had other customers that were not with our party. Dim lighting for the ambiance I suppose in the dining area, but it was rather dark in the ladies restroom with the poor lighting. The table had settings for everyone (nice fine china/plates) it took a while for our server (Leonard) to get everyone's order....it would have been better if he had an additional person to help him. As we're waiting for appetizers to arrive, another server takes the time to come get all of the plates and said smaller plates would be brought to us (confusing). Finally, our orders were taken and finally after another long while of sitting... our food arrived at 10:15pm. My sister ordered the Gang Nuea - Braised beef short ribs (minus the poached pumpkin); the meat was sooooo good and tender! I ordered the Kai Siam - Sautéed crispy chicken breast with pineapple fried rice which was presented on a pineapple... another great dish. When everyone had finished eating, the servers brought out the birthday cupcakes. Most of us didn't finish our meal so Leonard had to individually take each plate to the kitchen and prepare a to-go container (which took a long time). At 11pm, slowly but surely, everyone started to receive their bills one by one... VERY slow process to complete individual transactions. I opted to pay my $45 bill with cash so I didn't have to wait on the credit card exchange; I left at 11:30pm while others in our party were still waiting to pay. Nice setting and the food was good, the only thing which would improve our experience would have been instead of one server, perhaps two or three for our large party.

Such a lovely environment for a meal. Excellent service. Attractive decor. Nice for a date or for any group that wants a serene meal. My lychee martini was very good as was our pad Thai with Shrimp. This is not a fast food restaurant. The price is higher than typical Thai, but the food, service and space are worth it if you want a lovely meal. We will visit on our next trip. I look forward to sampling more dishes.

Really good food with subtle and balanced flavours. Nothing was too overpowering and everything was really fresh. We had a mixed starter with the calamari and dumplings standing out. Our mains were similarly all really good especially paired with white wine. Our dessert which was the coconut cake was really large but we still finished it. Service was excellent with smiles all round.

Na Thai is a fun bright place with a good atmosphere. We were there with a party of 16 which is not easy to take care of but they did a nice job. The menu was kind of crazy as ti seems like everything is covered with fried lobster. Lamb and lobster a Surf and Cloven Hoof I guess. We started with the appetizer platter and they were quite good and nicely presented. I had a whole fried red snapper and it was very good. There is something for everyone here and I was happy to see a lot of Thais eating here which means it must be good . Coconut soup was a big hit also.

This Thai fine dining, a must if in Atlanta Midtown Service was fabulous, its what you expect in a fine dining restaurant, Linen tablecloths, fine glassware, etc., again service was attentive to all your needs, the meal experience and food are excellent, with a wide assortment of dishes. 5 star

Staying at the Artmore Hotel, Nan is right around the block and we had a fabulous lunch. Exceeded expectations!

I treated my husband to dinner here at Nan and we couldn't have been happier. The service was Stellar we atmospheres great and the food was absolutely delicious. I can't adequately describe the complexity of the flavors adequate Lee describe the complexity of the flavors. So wonderful and the drinks were great too. Really enjoyed our time here and in made for a very special birthday meal.

The best Thai food experience ever. From hello to goodby. Highly recommended. The server was very knowledgeable on gluten sensitivity which is always a plus! If you are ATL you need to go.

Took two friends visiting from DC to Nan for dinner. We pulled up, the car was quickly valeted, we had a reservation and were promptly seated. Without asking we were offered black napkins and got water. The waitress waited a few steps away from the table while we talked, waiting to either be called over or for a break in the conversation to take our orders. The food was outstanding, as was the service. There is an appetizer, "The Tower" which is fantastic - a little bit of some classics. Beautiful restaurant, fantastic service, super food. Not a cheap destination - save it for a special occasion and savor the experience.

I am normally not enthusiastic about Thai food, but this food was amazing: the best Thai food anywhere! The service was attentive and professional, with manager and server noting our names and regularly checking in on us with out being obtrusive. The food was fantastic, and the presentation appealing to the eye. Be sure to order the sampler as an appetizer to get a taste of a variety of their specialties. This was expensive, but truly worth the price for a special occasion. Valet parking only on the site.

Excellent Thai food in an upscale restaurant. Staff was super nice, so nice my teenage son was overwhelmed with the service

Went for dinner while in town for business. The setting is very nice, tables are speed well and it wasn’t too loud. Appetizer and dinner were excellent and the set was impeccable. If you are in town I highly recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful setting - great for a date. We went with the family. Get the sampler platter, you can request a vegetarian or a vegan option and they will make substitutions - presented beautifully. Meal was delicious, a little bit on the salty side. Kids also loved it - have already been back.

I know full well this is not a vegan restaurant. With family members and friends who are omni eaters, one learns to be flexible and ask restaurant owners/managers what accommodations may be made. We had been here previously and with success. This time? They broke trust, and we won't be back. As you know from other reviews, they claim to offer make alterations to have a dish come "veganized". They promised this to me on the phone prior to making a reservation, and our server made the same assertion once we sat down. “Even the curries?” Yes, even the curries was the response. Actually? No...definitely not the curries. I don't know what it is with Thai restaurants. I've had so many make the claim that they will make dishes vegan, and they don’t! Why? Do they not understand what being vegan means? Consuming fish sauce or shrimp paste is not vegan! Since Thai curries are some of my favorite food in the world (when I make it or happen to find it vegan), that's always my first choice in a Thai restaurant. Food of the gods when done right! Yet, what's so very hard about eliminating fish sauce or shrimp paste from your meals when your clients ask? Being vegan eons ago was hard. These days, there are vegans everywhere. It's no longer a hardship to get a vegan meal done even at an omnivore restaurant. In fact, some of the best vegan meals I've ever had were made at an omnivore restaurant (by a sous chef on staff at the time). [Side note - sous chefs tend to offer more creativity in their meals than the main chef does.] At Nan, I ordered one type of curry in the restaurant and a different one to-go. The one I ate in the restaurant? I caught one instance, a "sense" of fish. I dismissed it b/c I had successfully received a vegan dish at this establishment in the past and b/c my spouse was eating a "fishy" meal that had a heavy scent. Sometimes a strong scent will interfere with my taste buds. Something I've observed in the past with curries is that if they are served hot, it may be difficult to discern traces of fish sauce or shrimp paste. (That is...when the chef has used only a small amount. When higher amounts are used, the smell/taste jumps out before you even ingest it.) When these curries cool down, these flavors become even stronger. When we arrived home, and I proceeded to the kitchen to swap the dish from being packaged in plastic to glass. During this process, I detected something. I tasted to confirm. SO STRONG. I was revolted and gave the meal to someone else in the household. I came back in my mind to what I had for dinner. If my take-home was not vegan, I have to assume my meal inside the restaurant wasn't either. That means, what I sensed part-way through the meal was correct. I was angry and sad. Earlier the same week, I went to another Thai restaurant that was entirely new to me. Reviews claimed they offered vegan food. The truth? No. The scent was so strong that my friend and I couldn’t consume our respective dishes. (No seaweed in any of these dishes, btw. JIC you were wondering.) That strong disappointment and sadness is exactly why my spouse and I came to Nan! So, I could enjoy a truly vegan, scrumptious Thai curry. They let me down instead. As I wrote above, we won’t be back. If you know a vegan, take them somewhere else such as Herban Fix, Cafe Sunflower or even R. Thomas Grille. (The latter restaurant is a place where vegans and omnis alike will find plenty of options to enjoy. The first two restaurants are entirely vegan and deliciously so.)

Nan Thai is really a special restaurant. Yes, this is Thai, yet it is upscale, full service and extremely well managed. The menu is fresh and creative. The bar is fully stocked, the deserts are simple yet amazing. The wait staff is polite beyond any expectation. If you want a hamburger and fries then go to the Varsity but it you want to have a dining experience that is unmatched, well this is your place!

The food is good. Beautifully presented and the service is relatively fast for fine dining. Don't forget to try the Thai tea!

Jedi was our server. He was amazing. It was my first visit there and he explained everything perfectly. The food was not only beautiful but delicious, just the same. Thank you for a great experience.

Very Posh Thai in the ATL. No reservation, but they took a reservation at the maitre'd and sent a text confirmation. Why? Anyway, appet6 were prompt and delicious. Some kind of tower. Meals (sea bass & lobster AND scallops with basil sauce) were nicely done and plentiful. Took some home. Service was quick at first, but took longer than expected to get and pay the bill. Female servers were gorgeous Thai specimens! Valet had umbrellas to shelter from the rain. Would definitely like to try again.

The restaurant has a beautiful decoracion. The service..oh my.. amazing. Super well educated waiters and waiters. I wish all restaurants have the same filosophy on customer service. I was fascinated with the waiters service because they are super polite. Food has a lot of flavor but it is not authentic (considering that I went to an authentic Thai restaurant in California) The food has flavor (a little blend) well prepared dish with a great presentation. Overall, it is a great fine dining restaurant

From the moment I walked in the aromas were authentic- just like being back in Thailand. The food exceeded expectations, service was highly professional, and the atmosphere was elegant. Will be back!

We took a chance since this restaurant was close to our hotel. Delicious food. Excellent service Great location.

Ban is Thai dining at its best. The venue is beautiful, service outstanding, menu very good, and of course the food was outstanding. It is a place everyone should try.

This was my 2nd time dining at Nan since I don't live in Atlanta. There are many things about Nan that make it a standout: the exquisite service, the delicious food, and the inventive and creative presentation. I ordered the red snapper which was not quite as expected. The dish was fascinating in that they served the entire fish on the plate but had removed the filet, cut into pieces and lightly fried each piece. Think fish chunks. I had not realized upon ordering that the fish would be lightly fried and would have chosen another entree if I'd known since I try to avoid fried food. On my previous visit, I had the sea bass and it was phenomenal. If I do a third time, I would order the sea bass again. The portions are large as are the prices. But at least service and quality are at the same level as the tariff.

We have been to Nan a number of times and everytime we have such fabulous food and service. The décor is lovely and the personnel are all fantastic.

The best service and food we've ever had! The service was perfect and the waitresses were so attentive and could answer every question! All of her suggestions were on point and she knew the menu very well. The food was amazing. from the spring roll appetizer to the lamb chops and seafood meadley with giant prawns to the amazing Thai tea creme brulee there was nothing that they could have done better! I can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Thai fine dining. Food is delicious and service quick. There is park and valet. Only reason not 5 stars… big open space, noisy at peak time.

The only thing more amazing than the food was the staff. The ambiance is very calming as you walk in from busy Midtown.

When I am in Atlanta and want Thai, Nan is the only place I go. Always has great food, strong wine list and friendly servers.

I had lunch there. The waiter recommended “Lunch Special” : Fried Lobster with Pad Thai. The taste of the lobster was ok. The Pad Thai was over done. The thing I like about the restaurant was the design of the restroom. It was creative and beautiful. One thing perhaps the restaurant need to improve in the restroom was to add “seat cover”. It was a different experience. I don’t think I will come back.

What impressed us the most was the fantastic service. The food is great and the place has an incredible ambiance. The price per person is incredible high too! I get the same food quality at Surin of Thailand for half of the place. As a first experience was fine.

I visited this restaurant many times, mostly with out of town guests, business and other. The ambiance is great. Unlike many other Asian restaurants which can be dark and old fashioned, this is modern and bright with high ceilings. The service can be a little slow when crowded but the food is worth the wait. Anything I tried at this restaurant has been excellent. They are also quite flexible about ingredients (e.g., to accommodate for food allergies) and spice level. I also rate restaurants based on the state of the restrooms. I suggest you visit the restrooms here, even if you don’t need to, just to observe the decor and cleanliness. The location is great, in Midtown, easy access from highways and nearby neighborhoods. One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta, despite being slightly on the pricey side.

Nan is one of our favorite restaurants and we go EVERY year 1,2 times ,(always on Valentines day). This year was very excited to go as we get the same thing every time and look forward to it. I was not feeling well and tried to change reservation but was told would loose deposit (never took dep. before but did this valentine).. so we went I requested front table (as always) was put in the back room back corner.. sorry.. Then went to order and was told no this year has FIXED menu. (two options ) I ONLY came for the Pat tai ,,Nope , only meat or lobster, I dont eat meat or fried food.. Well thats our only option Then was told it was 100 pp.. (unaware of all this upon arrival).. Needless to say the egg roll was cold , the and I ordered the spicy pasta with a tiny lobster that was so mushy I had to send back.. THIS was so disappointing .. NOTHING is what we wanted to eat and I didnt really eat at all.. and the bill was 280.00 one drink each .. and they added the gratuity,, I get you wanted to get as many people in and out and make money , but this was terrible. and I was SO disappointed (as we were so looking forward to it.) it is OUR favorite restaurant. I do NOT like to spend 300 to have to eat something I dont eat/like.. the service was rushed and the food was mediocre . Will we go back YES, for our usual .. but if it ws the our first visit, never... They had never done this before.. very disappointed in my Valentine dinner /time. both of us..

Well prepared food with such well developed flavors that make you feel you're eating exceptional food. We've been here twice and we plan on coming again despite the distance to our home. Love it!

Highly recommend!! Exceptional service and ambiance. Nice drink menu. Recommend purple orchid. The tasting tree was fabulous and enough to share with 3 or 4. Had the masaman curry and it was so good!!!

If you want authentic Thai flavors, this is not the place, don’t waste your money. We love Thai food and were very excited to try this “fine dining “ spot however we were very disappointed. I would give service 3/5, seafood freshness 4/5 and flavors 1/5.

one is immediately greeted with sincere friendliness. The modern Thai decor is tasteful, not overdone. The staff are very helpful, but never overbearing. Then, the food is fantastic. I had the best sea bass that I have ever enjoyed. The chef has mastered the art of flavors over heat. The ambiance is quiet, but not reserved. This is one of my most favorite ever restaurants. I would highly recommend that you give it a try if you like Thai food.

Nan Fine Dining is my favorite Thai restaurant in the city of Atlanta. From the moment you walk into the door, you know you are in a special place. The ambiance, staff, and service is excellent. The kitchen is open and the fantastic smells waffles throughout. The ingredients are fresh perfectly blended and the flavors are intoxicating. I highly recommend the tasting tree for starters. Nan Fine Dining is the total experience.

Enjoyed our meal very much. My daughter is a vegetarian and found plenty of choices on the menu. It was a little pricey but worth it for special occasions.

This was our second time eating at Nan over the past year. I guess I’d say it’s solid. We didn’t eat anything we said “WOW” about....but we didn’t say “yuck” either. We’ve had better but all in all, Nan does a good job. The service is good. The atmosphere is nice. The prices are a little high but pretty much what you’d expect for this type of place. I wouldn’t make it a priority to go back since there are so many other options....but I wouldn’t say no if it’s suggested sometime either

Was amazed and blown away by he level of service and attention to detail our server provided. I can only say how sorry I am that I forgot his name. He guided us through the extensive menu and every item he suggested from appetizers to dessert was a winner. My new go to place when I am in Atlanta.

Nan Thai is a beautiful restaurant with excellent food and fantastic staff. I enjoyed it so much I ate here 3 times during my business trip. 2 times at the bar and once in the dining room. Panang Talay Seafood Pad Thai Black Cod Highly recommended and will return the next time I’m in Atlanta.

Never disappoints. I'm from Atlanta but live in Florida now. This is always a stop on my visits home. I'm a foodie and this is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta

Staying in midtown Atlanta and passed Nan Thai on our way back from Atlantic Station and decided to book a table and glad we did as the restaurant was busy.. What a find. Amazing food and service. Had appetizer tree to start which had a selection of lovely appetizers. Our next courses were delicious. All the food was beautifully cooked and presented. Best meal we have had in a long time. If staying in Atlanta definitely try to eat here. Amazing!!

The gracious welcome at the door sets the tone for the evening. Must try one of the custom cocktails...I had the Nan Spice and it was very refreshing and tasty. The service is impeccable with multiple staff managing your table. Food is great. I had the lamb shank and it was amazing. Can't say enough about the service.

My wife and I were on our anniversary date night - dinner and a show. I made a 6pm reservation because our show was at 8pm, should be plenty of time for dinner. We arrived a few mins after 6pm and were told our table was not ready it should be just a few mins you can go to the bar for a drink. We go to the bar and are ignored by the bar staff for 10 mins. I go to the bar and order 2 martinis. 20 mins later 40 mins after our reservation time our table is ready and oh now the drinks are ready. We sit at the table and remind them we have a show at 8pm and look over the menu, 5 mins later they take our appetizer order and 10 mins after that I flag down the waitress and ask to give our dinner orders, reminding her we have a show at 8pm. Wait another 20 mins for the appetizer, reminding the waitress again that we had a show at 8pm. Our dinner shows up at 7:35 > 1.5 hrs after we arrived. My wife's order is completely mixed up, not what she ordered at all, something completely different. My order was scallops, I give it a good, not great, just good. We ask for the check when they deliver the food, We gobble down our food and get out of there asap. tl:dr Give yourself 3 hours to get a meal here, they are very slow and not too good with ordering.

Not only is this restaurant exquisitely designed, but the lighting, the aroma, the flavors, oh my! Best Thai ever. In my top 10 restaurant experiences here in the U.S. When one takes bites of the offerings and has to pause to say "wow" and "oh. my. gosh." along the way, one knows this is the pinnacle of experiences in dining.

I had my 1st Business meal here in 2022. I was pleasantly surprised by its authenticity. Having lived in SE Asia, during the 1990s, we learned to appreciate great Thai. In February my Fish was perfectly prepared and the martini 's (Star fruit) were on point.

This was my first time and I was VERY impressed! From the valet service to the reception to the process of being seated - service that was all professionally yet graciously delivered! The decor is elegant with the warm glow of the candles reflected off the crystal and other glassware on display. The wait service was extremely attentive. The food was EXCELLENT! We had the appetizer "tree" which was a sampler of five different appetizers, all equally delicious. My companion had the lamb shank which I tasted and we both agreed that it was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. I had the seafood platter which included shrimp, scallops, calamari and lobster! We both enjoyed it too - very delicious! Ended this exquisite dining experience with two very refreshing scoops of sorbet, one tamarind flavor and one lychee flovor! Absolutely delightful experience!!!

While in Atlanta for my birthday weekend my wife treated me to one of my favorite cuisines. She is not a big fan of Thai but found a gem that we both enjoyed. The restaurant wished me a happy birthday when we checked in and our server Sophie made sure we were taken care of at dinner. The food was very flavorful and the drinks we had were mixed perfectly. We both had the special for dinner which was scallops, jumbo prawns, calamari, rice, and a lobster tail in curry sauce. The food was cooked perfectly and we both said when we go back when we visit Atlanta again. Service and food was outstanding!

Really good choice - the space is very elegant and calm. Our server was very attentive and helped to navigate the menu as well. We really enjoyed the opportunity to try this restaurant and would recommend it.

We ordered the Prik Khing Kai and the Kai Yang Massaman . The flavors were outstanding and fragrant. We are going back the next time we are in downtown Atlanta.

I used to go to this place years ago and always enjoyed it. I found myself back in the area and went again and it is still good. Their specialty drinks are very nice...especially the one with the chili pepper and basil in it, very different. I had the lobster, shrimp and scallops special and my partner had the whole fish. The food is perfect, the service superb, the atmosphere nice and the bathroom relaxing. We dropped in on a Saturday night without any reservations and were able to be seated without any problem. There is valet parking only.

Christmas with the family and great food - siam ruby, Kung yang masaman and Gang Klua sapparod. Every meal was exquisite, friendly well trained staff and the restaurant was beautifully decorated inside. I can always count on Nan to deliver deliciousness!!!! lol

In general, previous reviews are much too generous in their ratings of this place. Please do not misunderstand me, the food is very good quality, tasty and well presented but that what I expect as the "norm" in a top quality fine dining establishment - that's what you are paying for! What is lacking here is that finesse that the great fine dining restaurants offer in abundance. Finesse that covers everything from table size, style of welcome & greeting, elegant but functional lighting, this place needs more attention to all these things before charging the prices they do! Service is attentive and professional, if a little over-zealous, but that is a common U.S. problem as they push for the tip. The waitresses try to up-sell items not on the menu without disclosing the price - sneaky and unwelcome - not fine dining. Waiting staff need to realise that sometimes you just want to eat and talk with your family and friends (not them!). With a $120 bottle of wine, our meal for two came to $240 - top end for the ambience offered. About $50 less would be more realistic value.

I just love Nan. The food is so delicious and we always get great service. I recently celebrated a friend's birthday there and I had the rack of lamb along with the appetizer platter. Everything was absolutely delicious. I also really like that it is a local family-owned restaurant. I'll be back for sure.

I must compliment the decor and space of this restaurant, and the service is excellent. However the food was a great disappointment. Everyone in our party was dissatisfied by what they had chosen. Every dish was horribly sweet. Far too much sugar. The dishes were expensive, so you would like to finish it. However none of us could.

Delightful food, ambiance, and service. Was here in January, and decided to bring some colleagues this time. I recommend the appetizer "tree" for some variety. Excellent preparation and top-notch service.

The restaurant is serenely beautiful; the food is delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff is impeccably trained. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! Sadly, I had indulged in a large lunch and was not hungry enough to do the food justice. I ate light: Tom Yum Kai (seafood soup with lemon grass) and Chicken Larb salad (ground chicken with spices and lime). Both were light, flavorful, and delicious. I am eager to return and try more dishes. Everyone in our group, including those who had never tried Thai food, was wildly enthusiastic about their meals.

Wonderful. Free valet parking. Fresh inventive cocktails. Incredible Thai cuisine, and top notch service. Would recommend.

Upscale Thai restaurant with excellent service, dishes prepared to perfection in a nice open setting. Tables have white table cloths, they even change the color of your napkin at lunch time. Valet Parking This place is pricey for sure, easy to share most dishes, but worth it!

However, I was hoping for something more authentic. The food was good, the service attentive, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with this place. The atmosphere was great. Just not what I expected. I’m sure the majority of guests will love this place but I’m constantly looking (and constantly disappointed) for real, authentic Thai food. I’ll keep looking. We had an appetizer platter ** Lobster special **** Short rib ****

Had a lovely meal at Nan Thai. Cocktails interesting takes on traditional cocktails - I had a Thai Bramble (gin based) and hubs had mango margarita. Sea bass with tofu, okra and string beans was cooked perfectly with a delicate but flavorful sauce. Lobster pad thai with scallops also perfectly cooked - yummy, yummy, yummy. Coconut cake dessert delicious - share this. Very satisfying meal in beautiful space.

We dined here in November to celebrate my birthday. The service was outstanding and the restaurant is beautiful. We all enjoyed our meals very much. Thank you!

If you are looking for authentic Thai food in an upscale, yet cozy Thai atmosphere , then you should try Nan. The Tom Kha Coconut chicken soup is the best I have EVER tasted! We also had the Masaman, Pad Thai, and Pad Kee Mow, all were extraordinary. For dessert, the coconut ice cream was divine, again, the best I have ever tasted! The mango Mai Tai was also a perfect compliment to the meal. Definitely a "must try" in Atlanta!

Yes we get that this is a Thai restaurant! It’s almost too over the top that it felt a little sarcastic but I was able to get over it. Food - 4 The flavors seems true to Thai flavors with a twist of American influence. Instead of the strong herbal feel of Thailand some of the tastes were replaced with simple salt and pepper to fit the American palate more. Atmosphere - 4 With the high ceilings and warm wood feel it was very easy and comforting to walk in. It is nice to see real candles used throughout the restaurant and the simple rose centerpiece on each table is simple and majestic. Service - 3 The staff is busy and keeps a good eye on the tables. The “sawadee ka” was nice once or twice but the constant greeting was just too much and started to get old half way through the meal. I don’t think any American restaurant staff would say hello every time they come to the table. A nice cute restaurant that I may keep as a bank for date night but would not return otherwise.

First time staying in Midtown and we past the Nan Thai restaurant a few times. This is the best Thai food I have ever had. Everything was fresh and quality taste. Very upscale but not so much that you can't "come as you are". You must try the Panang Talay and Chao Lay. Absolutely tasted wonderful. If you are ever in Midtown and you like Thai food....consider Nan Thai Fine Dining. Oh yes, it was my birthday and they made me feel very special. Everytime I visit Midtown, I will return.

We are visiting Atlanta for a weekend and found this place on trip advisor. So happy we did. We always enjoy Thai food but this takes it to a new level. The restaurant is beautiful and bright. Think white table clothes and fresh flowers on the table. Our server, Nick, was very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. We will be back our next visit

Went to Nan during our trip to Atlanta after my husband read about it in a golf magazine. It did not disappoint. The appetizer tower was amazing. Plenty for the four of us. We all got different entries so we could sample and they were delicious. Nick was our server and we loved him. Food was perfectly prepared. Go!

Wonderful service and food in a beautiful setting and close to hotel, Metro, Symphony Hall and the High Museum of Art

We love Thai cuisine. This is lovely with a nice bar and really good service. Food is a mix of excellent traditional Thai dishes and continental dishes with a Thai twist - very creative. Complimentary valet parking. Midtown, Give it a go.

A rare “white tablecloth” restaurant featuring one of continental Asia’s cuisine. The restaurant looked well manicured, and the service staff were very amiable. The menu was short, so colleagues and I who were attending a conference and agreed to dine here had high expectations. The drinks list was manageable. A couple us noted as respectable and reasonably priced wine selection. We ordered chef-choice appetizer selection. It was notably tasteless, unseasoned and relied on the dips that were served for each appetizer. Even the chicken satay was dry and tasteless if one strips away the peanut sauce. The sauces were uniformly sweet, the differences were the core.,The exception was the dumpling, moist and every hint Thai and one can forgo the sauce. Everyone mentioned their main entrees were “okay” and nothing remarkable. Perhaps the exception were two who ordered the duck breast. Perfectly med-rare, seasoned, and crispy ski, served over pineapple curry and Thai vegs. Pineapple, while I personally detest when cooked in an entree because of its overwhelming sweetness, was well balanced with the light green curry and chilies and vegs. It went very well with a Barossa Reserve Shiraz. Reasonably priced. Average dining.

Liked this place, went with a friend and we had cocktails (something with mango) which is too sweet for my palette. Other than that the duck is great and seafood is excellent.

We have been meaning to try this place for years after stumbling in a decade ago and being turned away as we did not make reservations. Should have been back sooner as this place is awesome. Some of the friendliest service I have ever seen. The food was fantastic and the specials were worth every penny. The highlights were the specials red snapper and super jumbo grilled prawn with pumkin rice. One of the few high rated places that more than bet the rating. Valet only but only for tips. The valet guys are super nice.

I am lucky to be here. Thai foods here are exceptional. Very well trained staffs , very good customer service and the best thai foods ! Thank you K.Nan and K.Charlie for everything. Best ive ever had. Very upscale thai restaurant. You need to book in advance because table is fully booked everyday especially the prime time you may need to wait on the queqe. Foods are beyond i expected, love it !

Amazing Thai Food. The appetizers tree it’s a great option to start, specially the Calamari and the Spring rolls. For dinner we had King Pad Thai and Shrimp in a curry cream, this last one was simple the best. Good selection on wines. Our waiter, Trang, was simply amazing as well.

A group of five of us got in shortly before the kitchen closed. We ordered two appetizer trees and some of us ordered the special which as lobster pad Thai. Everyone finished their dishes and we polished off most of the app trees too. The atmosphere was polished yet still felt a casual. The hostess was very helpful in that we had luggage which she stored for us while eating. Our Uber ride back to the airport was only about 20 minutes after eating (after 10pm on a week night). I would consider returning if I were ever visiting Atlanta for leisure.

Terrible experience. Expensive. Food lackluster and service was very poor. Save yourself the trouble and money and pick up Thai food from your local Thai place and eat at home. Can’t describe our disappointment

When we entered Nan we were greeted with smiling friendly faces. The decor is very nice in this upscale Thai restaurant. Once seated we were greeted by Ellie, our sweet & very friendly server. The menu selection was very good with a wide selection of dishes. I started with a stuffed shrimp appetizer. It was delicious. Our friends started with a coconut soup which looked wonderful. My entree, which Ellie helped me pick out, was the sea bass. It was a nice large piece of sea bass beautifully presented. It was served with fried okra & eggplant pieces in a sweet chili sauce and was excellent. My wife had the grilled salmon masaman which was superb. Our friends had the pad Thai, which was served with a large portion of jumbo shrimp. The presentation was beautiful as well as delicious. The service was excellent. Someone was always there to fill our water glasses. Ellie was always stopping to see if we need anything. It was busy when we went with several large table parties. My only complaint was the wait for the food coming out of the kitchen was slow, probably due to the large parties. The manager was wonderful and gave us free dessert and apologized for the wait. He was very nice and gracious. It is very special to me when a restaurant recognizes a problem and shows the customer they are sorry and want to make things right. As far as the meal, service, decor, and eating experience, it was fantastic. Thank you Ellie for making our meal so wonderful.

The setting/ambience is contemporary with pleasant decor. The menu is shorter on menu choices than most other Thai restaurants- the missing Yum Nua being a casualty. The food quality and presentation was good. The overall experience was key down by indifferent/inattentive, casual and forgetful service that was initially ignored until the pattern became annoying A slightly harsh Average

We only had two dishes (and an appetizer), but based on our impression, Nan Thai is very good at sauces. Both the Phad Thai sauce and the three-chile pepper sauce were fantastic. We also loved the spring rolls. Ingredients seemed fresh and it is very nice inside with very fast service (almost too fast). It is a bit pricey. Oh, and don't be scared off by the "fine dining" in the title. Although they did have a sign about being appropriately dressed, they seemed to focus on baseball caps. I saw a few men without collared shirts and jeans.

7:15 Saturday and busy 1. Arrived on time and seated in the bar - which was just fine for a busy night. Seated at an un-bussed table, waited 15 minutes before a waiter came to take a drink order and then when he brought the drink, we had to ask that he clear the table. Waited 30 minutes to be seated for dinner. 2. We ordered appetizers and they were brought before we ordered which meant we had to deal with the large menus on our table. 3. First they delivered the rice for all 4 and they removed the rice dish lids- the rice wasn't hot and now was on the way to being cold. Then two entrees came quickly. We waited. A 3rd entree came, we waited. The last entree came a full 5 minutes after the first were served. 4. Even the most modest restaurants in Europe and all aware fine dining restaurants in the US have learned that if you put hot food on a cold dish, it won't stay hot very long. We ended up with cold rice right off the bat and entrees that were only passably warm. There was a single honest mistake of one of the dishes being wrong, but this was immediately corrected. Mistakes happen and when corrected quickly should not be, and this was not, counted against them. But a discreet pad for the server is better than an error in an order. Like so many successful restaurants, they are too busy making money while thinking an apology and an offer of a free desert will get them by what are clearly structural management shortcomings. We think the food was probably very good but couldn't fully judge our tepid fare with the cloud of frustration hanging over the dining experience. To top things off, they reported to Open Table that we had not kept our reservation. Clearly, an off night in every sense. This, our 3rd visit, is our last.

I just went here with my peeps for the Super Bowl and it was an absolute perfect spot. The menu doesn't have 400 options on it, rather maybe 30 - narrows things down. The food was all great and the drink / wine list was excellent as well. This is a must stop for Thai food in an upscale atmosphere.

Everything ordered, entrees, dessert, and drinks, were absolutely excellent. When we asked what kind of Oolong was served, our lovely waitress Vanda personally went on a quest to find the name and brand. The entire room is filled with the light of hundreds of flickering candles. The room is dim, yet each table is well lit. Dark, rosy wood covers the ceiling. Intriguing pieces of art and pottery, perfectly matched, are placed about the room. My family and I had a wonderful experience here, and we would recommend it to anyone!

We dined here twice during our stay in Atlanta. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The servers were amazing and very efficient. We had the lamb shank, prawns pai thai, sea bass, salmon, beef short ribs and fried rice. Everything was tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

There's nothing quite like Nan in the whole entire Atlanta area, especially from the standpoint of service. The way they train their staff is incredible and the result frankly amazing. You get a whole experience when you visit that place. Now, it is not cheap, nor is it expensive for what you get. You would easily pay upwards of $100 per person for the same thing in New York or San Francisco, but "only" $50 to $60 at Nan's. And boy! Is it worth it! This must be some of the best Thai food I've ever had. What I like most, is that the menu isn't like your usual Thai restaurant's menu. It features fine Thai cuisine, which is definitely much more refined and delicate than what most people are accustomed to. And to top it all, the building is an architectural delight, if a little cold sometimes, with great, modern style decor. Definitely a must if you love Thai food and find yourself in Atlanta long enough to have dinner.

If you like Thai cuisine this is the place to be. If you like Thai kicked up to another level make it your aim to be here. But this is fine dining so be prepared to pay for REALLY good food The bill will reflect it.. The service was great , the drinks and ambience just as good. It was quiet where you could have conversation without raising your voice, just a overall great experience.

This is the worst pad thai I have every eaten - gummy and cheap with the shrimp and chicken. Awful. Our other dishes were okay, just okay. The portions are small and great effort is put into the presentation to hide the fact that this place is so mediocre and so overpriced. The service was intrusive. The waiter chit chatting with my dinner guests - not something that should ever happen at any restaurant with this price point. The wine was poured from carafes, which is a HUGE no-no that indicates that the restaurant does not care about its customers and doesn't trust its wait staff. Our dinner for 4 was over almost 500. For bad thai food. Never again.

This was a mid-week treat for my wife and I. Didn’t know what to expect. From the initial greeting to the warn and friendly farewell, this is one place we will come back to and highly recommend. The cocktails were perfectly prepared - with plenty of exotic choices for the adventurous.. the service was attentive and responsive throughout... could not have asked for more. We started with the appetizer tower... yummy. I had the Chilean bass as my wife tried another appetizer for her main. Thumbs up on taste, presentation and portion size. Being a golfer, loved all the golf memorabilia discretely presented on the walls... can’t wait to share with my golfing friends. In short, I’d like to congratulate this team for giving us a wonderfully memorable dining experience. We’ll be back next trip into Atlanta. Great job Nan Thai!

This was for a successful project completion with a team of about 20 people. We were in a private room and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of Nan and her team. She dropped by for a picture and talking to her made one realize what an institution she is. The Nan spicy cocktails were amazing and the food was totally fantastic. Tried out many dishes that day and not one disappointed. Second time to this place and was even better this time.

The restaurant is beautiful, the service is friendly and impeccable, and the food is delicious. We both started with different soups and then we shared Kai Yang Masaman. Very very pleased with our meal. This continues to be one of our favorite places in Atlanta to eat.

We had very friendly and quick service. Great high quality food. Amazing wine list. To top it off: nice dessert.

Food was deliciouz..loves the coconut milk and shrimp, the snapper was very well prepared..great lighting in here too...I highly recommended this place

What more can I say? Even the valet guys were incredibly nice and prompt. Loved every aspect of this restaurant. If I lived in Atlanta I would definitely frequent this restaurant on a regular basis and it will be one of my “go to” places when I’m in the city and in the mood for Asian cuisine. A great find from a business associate. Highly recommend but, just so you know, it’s not cheap!

I have been here a number of times and have never had a bad experience. First, the food is always excellent. Well prepared, nicely presented, and always great. The service and atmosphere are equal to the food. A great place in Atlanta.

All the food we ate was good, and some was truly excellent. The chef’s special red snapper with okra could not have been better. The ginger martini was creative and delicious. The service was friendly, if a little slow. The only negative was the inspection by the hostess as we arrived in dressy casual with winter coats and hats. Before we had time to remove our outerwear, instead of asking if she might check it, we were told to remove our hats and our dress black jeans were frowned upon. There are better and friendlier ways to enforce dress code if it’s that important.

Best Thai I've had, combined with lovely ambiance, great service, decent wine list. We've gone for a nice dinner and celebrations, and were very happy with the experience every time. Conveniently located near 17th St in Midtown, and easy parking.

Best Thai cuisine I’ve ever had with service to match. Big on flavor and ingredients are super fresh with exceptional quality. Tom Kha soup is light and flavorful but not overly spicy. I had scallops - huge and cooked perfectly. It’s very expensive, which may be an issue for some but not for others.

The quick read is: delicious Thai food served by an excellent staff in a delightful and relaxed setting. This is one of the most impressive restaurant experiences I've had in a loooong time. As we walked in we were greeted by the hostess and at least one more staff member. The restaurant is spacious, with high ceilings and very tasteful decoration. We were led to our table and before we were seated our hostess asked if the table was OK. The hostess helped us with our chairs. The tables have immaculate white tablecloths and are set with decorative plates and flatware. Each table also had a fresh rose. The first impression was excellent and it set the stage for what was to follow. We had a server and an assistant. They worked together well and seamlessly shared different tasks. We ordered two of their specialty cocktails. Both were expertly prepared. I enjoyed a Bangkok Rose and my wife had the Mango Mai Thai, both were delicious and rather creative. We also had the chicken satay with our cocktails. For the main course, I had the Kung Yang Panang and my wife ordered the Kai Siam. The presentation was over the top. The food was colorful, aromatic and presented in a very artistic manner. It was also fresh and hot. Unlike many Thai restaurants, we were not asked about the spice level in the meals we ordered. Our server explained the spice levels in each dish, which were probably medium hot at the most. The food is so delicious that extra heat in the spice is not necessary. Also, quite unlike most other Thai restaurants, the rice accompaniment was a special preparation that was paired to the main course. We savored every morsel. The portion sizes were perfect. They were large enough to satisfy our hunger but were not so massive that we did not have room for dessert. And that's a good thing. The desserts are to die for. I ordered the chocolate mousse cake and my wife had the pineapple sorbet. Serving sizes were a perfect complement to a delicious meal. If you like tea, order the tea. It comes out in an individual porcelain pot, complete with a brass hourglass timer! The service was superb from the minute we walked in the door until the hostess wished us well as we left. Our server anticipated our every need. The staff were polite and respectful. We truly felt pampered. We were never rushed. This was one of the most relaxing, enjoyable and satisfying meals I have had in a long time. We are already making plans to return.

My family recently visited Nan during Georgia Tech family weekend. We had a wonderful meal and incredible service (thank you, Dawn). The restaurant is truly lovely and the food delicious. It is a bit pricey for Thai food, but it is worth it for a special occasion.

While the food was tasty it was extremely expensive. That by itself is not bad, however, if you charge an average of $70 for an entree, don't start vacuuming the floor with guest still eating. The place closed at 10pm. The website says you can't order any food after 9:45. Ok, so we ordered desert, and it came to the table at 1000. There were about 5 other tables still eating. First, the valet guy goes around the tables to give us our keys and expects his tip, saying he was leaving. Then the employees start vacuuming the floors. Around 1015 they turn the house lights up. WTF? Our talble of 6 had appetizers, entrees, drinks and deserts with a bill over $900 and i finished with vacuuming, lights going up and a valet guy dropping my keys at the dinner table. Nan, you can do better if you want to present yourself as a five-star restaurant. Service was good up until it wasn't.

I recommend the special whatever it is. Also the appetizer sampler is great but you need two or three people. Come hungry! Everything is delicious!

Fine Thai dining with polite, attentive, professional service. Traditional Thai dishes deliciously prepared and beautifully presented. No flaws to mention.

Yes, the food is fine at this restaurant. However, they seem to not know how to manage their book of business well. We arrived 5 minutes early for a reservation and were still forced to wait 50+ minutes for a simple table of 2 that was right near the kitchen. We watched others arrive and be seated while we waited with no clear explanation. Furthermore, they require valet parking and yet the valet attendants do not wear masks in your car. Very strange, as masks are required upon entry and near the front desk. Yes, the food is tasty, but the arrogance and poor management of the their reservation volume was totally unacceptable!

Beautiful restaurant, polite and competent servers and the food was top. I didn’t like their Thai Ice tea, way too sweet.

We took the fam out for a fun and delicious dinner at Nan. The service was exceptional. Everyone enjoyed dinner from shared apps to dessert. I reserved weeks in advance and was given a lovely corner table. Will return!

We ate here prior to a show at the Fox Theater and the food and service were both outstanding! We had no trouble finishing our meal before the show started and enjoyed every part of it!

Beautiful setting, wonderful service , and delicious food. Even the restroom is lovely ! We had had a long hard day working and arriving here for dinner was like entering a sanctuary! As the evening went on and we recuperated from our day, the restaurant filled and there was a happy fun vibe We shared the appetizer sampler which was great - a little bit of everything ! Then moved on to sea bass, pad Thai, and a vegetarian dish. Each one was fabulous ! If you are in Atlanta - look it up and go - you won’t be disappointed!

It's been about a year since my last visit and as usual it was fantastic. They have perfected Thai food as fine dinning! Not only is the food Good but the service is impeccable. The menu includes all the usual Thai classics we see in America, with some interesting twists. Everything was very Good! This time I tried the Tom Kha Kung soup which was beyond amazing; and their brown rice and it was nice and grainy!

For our anniversary we decided to try this restaurant. One of the best experience and food we had. Food was extremely good and service was spot on. All the dishes we ordered came in time and hot. We really enjoyed the taste. They gave a surprise desert for our anniversary. All the staff was very kind and attentive.

We went to Nan Thai for my husband’s birthday dinner. The food was incredible —- beautiful presentation and everything was delicious. I highly recommend the appetizer tower and the papaya salad. The entrees were also delicious but the starters stole the show. The service was attentive without being intrusive. It was a wonderful birthday dinner. Every part was excellent.

Appetizers and entrées were spot on! And on top of that reservations were relatively easy to come by. This will be our go to spot on every trip to downtown Atlanta from now on. The appetizers were shared By the table and included stuffed shrimp and calamari. Both were outstanding One of the specials was fried lobster tails/seared scallops pad Thai. It also was outstanding! The portion was appropriately sized and did not leave you hungry. This dish would be great as regular menu item for them. Our server (Hein?) was very intelligent and informative while giving great service. The maître d’ gave us a bit of History of the restaurant and the honor they had of serving the champions meal for VJ Singh at Augusta after his Masters victory.

Very bad experience. This restaurant stole money from me $681.10. Charged me for another person's bill. The server's name is Lynn . I spoke with the manager was told that it is a common experience in Nan Thai Fine Dining. I am still fighting for my $681.10 refund.

Who knew that the best Thai restaurant in the country resides in Atlanta? Okay so that is a bold statement and I have not visited every Thai joint in the US, but if you are in the ATL and you even half way like Thai food, you NEED to visit Nan. This is not your average Thai place. It is high end and gorgeous inside. The wait staff is beyond professional and both times I have visited my experience with them has been top notch. The food is not only amazing it is visually appealing as well. The presentation is second to none. Take a look at my pictures. I can’t wait until the next time I get to go back. Nan receives my highest recommendation.

Thursday night out downtown, got in without a reservation. Valet parking which is nice. Classy, refined atmosphere. Attentive, polite service. Food was nicely seasoned. One of us got lamb and lobster, one short ribs, and one chicken. Portions not large, but fine as you don’t go here to chow down. It’s a bit pricy so more of a special occasion type place. We enjoyed our dinner.

It had been years since we last ate here, but we decided to re-visit before a concert we were attending nearby. We're so glad we did! The Siam Ruby scallops were delicious as was the Kung Pad Thai. The only disappointment was the crispy okra & Eggplant side. The okra was so stringy you couldn't bite through it. Otherwise a wonderful meal!

Gourmet thai food in my opinion takes regular fine dining to the next level with spices and unique ingredients. Not just food and presentations at Nan’s, experiences from the chef with so many achievements come with more excitement in dining. She has served PGA championship dinner and other high-profile dinners. Her daughter who’s also a chef in the area beat Bobby Flay. So one of appetizers we had was Thai curry soup with some kind of influence from Bobby Flay. It had edamame, tapioca, and many other ingredients. It was phenomenal. I had a Chilean sea bass for dinner, and my friend had scallops. They were both very amazing. I was pleased with the cut of the fish. It was thick, almost square. So enjoyed flakiness throughout. The fish was served with deep fried okra and eggplant. My friend scallop was so soft. Much sorter than white egg from a hard boiled egg. We finished off with a coconut cake. Simple yet decadent. The entire experience was a such nice treat. Bathroom was very clean and gorgeously presented.

This is my second time visiting this restaurant this summer. The food is always scrumptious!!! The first time I had the Red Snapper. Beautifully fried and elegantly presented. This time I had the Lamb Hung Lay with Thai red curry. It was just divine.I recommend the coconut cake as well for dessert. I also tried the mango margarita. Really tasty. The owner and head chef is always around making sure all is exquisite. The service is impeccable and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I will go back again and again.

You won’t find the typical Thai dishes on the menu. But this isn’t your typical Thai restaurant. It’s upscale, with beautiful decor, exceptional service, and very eclectic Thai items on the menu. The food is delicious, flavorful and you will definitely enjoy this one of a kind experience.

Wonderful mix of Asian and contemporary design. Warm and attentive service. Curry sauce is excellent. Seafood is expertly prepared with exception of scallops which were slightly over cooked. Will definitely return.

The place looks good. Food is terrible, incorrect spices, small portions for the prices. The fact that they add a flower to your plate, doesn't make it "haute cuisine" Don't recommend it!

Great dining experience. Took a group of 7 for a business lunch. Great atmosphere for a comfortable conversation. Service was impeccable. Food was not like any Thai I’ve had but fine dining is a great way to describe it. Our table had the specials - sea bass, lamb chops and tofu. All were great and I only wish I could have tried everything on the menu. Not cheap so have to use the business card or make it a special occasion. I’ll add this to my list of special occasion restaurants in the Midtown area.

I enjoyed the drinks while we waited on our table. Very nicely decorated inside. The food was tasty and a little spicy:). I came with a group of friends and we enjoyed it. atmosphere was great.

Outstanding and creative fare, great ambiance and great and friendly service. Easy and accessible parking. moderate prices. The best!

Nan Thai was pretty close to authentic Thai food, having been to Thailand several times. (Not exact, but pretty close). My husband and I shared the Pla Muk Thod (calamari) appetizer. It wasn’t at all over cooked (yay) but it wasn’t super crispy either. For dinner I had the Gang Nuea (braised beef short ribs with masaman curry cashew nuts, pickled garlic and cucumber salad). I mention this specifically because the braised beef short ribs were excellent, however I did not detect anything like poached pumpkin and the “cucumber salad” turned out to be about 6 or 8 thin slices of cucumber. My husband ordered the Kai Siam (crispy chicken breast with pineapple fried rice). While the chicken was excellent in that it was cooked perfectly , and the flavors were spot on. However, it was not crispy. The fried pineapple rice was both sweet and a little savory at the same! We finished our meal with the coconut cake. This was a miss for me. This was a small portion considering the price, and not a whole lot of flavor. The restaurant itself was neat and clean. Service was good, but got to be slow at times since our waitress covered 4 tables that I could see. I would recommend and I will definitely go back.

My wife and I were here to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. The atmosphere in the restaurant was excellent. It had a classy feel to it without being pretentious. The food was out of this world, and my wife stated it was the best Thai food she has had outside of Thailand. I had the seafood melody with coconut rice and panag curry. The scallops were cooked brilliantly and the prawns were seared to perfection. My wife had the lobster tail Pad Thai. The lobster tail was seasoned well and was not rubbery. We both enjoyed the dish. Nan Thai is a great place to go for a special occasion. They even gave us champagne on the house to celebrate our anniversary! The total price of the meal with two entrees, one app, and one drink came out to $100.00 plus tip. A little pricey but worth it!

Delicious thai food. Recommend the coconut soup with lobster. Lamb we had as a main (also with lobster) was also really good. Pace in which the courses were served was also just right. Staff is super friendly.

I've eaten all over the world...this was the best meal I ever had. Started with coconut soup then chicken dumpljng..we had lamb Shank and a lobster special...somehow had room for desert and tea....every bite from start to finish was off the charts amazing

The food was excellent. But, it really bothered me that none of the alcohol—save the wine—has the price listed. I think that’s elitist and annoying—money makes a difference for what I order! Otherwise, very pleased, but that was unfortunate.

I ordered the barbeque lamb shanks. It was over the top good. Dinner for 3 with drinks $158. It was worth every penny.

This place was amazing. The décor was beautiful and very inviting. The service was warm, friendly and kind. Just what you would expect if you went to Thailand. We arrived early and had a drink at their extraordinary bar with the very helpful and beautiful bartender. We were then seated at a lovely table by the window and our server was just as kind and friendly as everyone else. We were lucky enough to have our food brought to us by Nan herself and we could not have been happier. She was a delight. I had the Red Snapper Chef's special and it was amazing! My dinner date had the scallops and they were equally as delicious. We paired it with an incredible bottle of Trimbach, Gewurztraminer, wine that just made the meal even better. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very nice decor, polite and friendly staff, reasonable prices. The calamari appetizer was nicely done and generous in portion. And just the rings! Pad kee mow lovely presentation and now blend of spices.

Such an elegant place and you're bowed down to as soon as you enter which makes you feel regal!! The private dining room was beautiful, looking out to a lovely patio which is nice on a clear day. The candles that lined the middle of the table added a nice touch. We were greeted by our lovely waitress, Kim, who was great explaining the menu. Starting off with the tower of appetizers was a great start and gave us all lots of variety, followed by delicious meals that looked as great as they tasted. The lamb chops were seasoned just right as well as the multiple meals that were served to others as selected. We had 13 guests, which allowed us to order a'la carte' per guest liking. Dessert was our celebratory cake and added the pineapple coconut ice cream, which was yummy. I did peak at the dessert menu, which also looked good. The only complainst that I had, was that the lighting is so poor in the room, which makes your photos very difficult and the price of the wines and Champagne- this can really run up your bill in no time! There is a minimum to meet using the private dining room, which is not hard to do. Overall, we had a great evening!

Going to a concert next door at 8pm (Atlanta Symphonic Orchestra), we had a reservation at 6:45. We arrived a bit early and had to wait few minutes in their bar/lounge. It was already crowed. Enough time to look at the drinks menu and decide for cocktails. Our table was ready even before our cocktails were ordered. We got them at the table. Very nice drinks, with unusual combination of fruits. We ordered Pad Thai. The plates came quickly. It was very good and the service is excellent. Valet parking outside makes it very convenient as well. A very nice experience and no doubt we will go back there to try other dishes.

Great atmosphere and the food was outstanding. I would have given it 5 stars, but our server disappeared as the establishment filled up. We had to get assistance from servers walking by. Try the appetizer platter for two. Amazing! Coconut cake is their signature desert and wonderful.
Try the Seabass Panang Special
Nang Thai Fine Dining in Midtown Atlanta was excellent. The service was outstanding, and the mixed drinks were very good. We started with Nang’s Tasting Tree, which offered a great assortment of small appetizers. For entrées, we had the Siam Ocean and the Sea Bass Panang special—both were flavorful, well-seasoned, and delicious. The food came out quickly, and the service remained attentive throughout. No military discount, but $5 valet parking is a plus. Overall, a great night. Highly recommend—perfect spot for a first date.
