You wouldn't have known this green oasis existed. The front of the restaurant does take away with a buffet array of dishes. For sit down, the entrance is off to the side. Jerk chicken, baked chicken, goat stew were good. King fish dish was flavored well but fish meat was tough. Service was friendly and laid back. It definitely does not a"typical" restaurant atmosphere but loved it.

I stopped by one day after work and CRAVING some oxtails. Of course, greed got the best of me so I ordered the oxtails AND curry chicken platters, both with red peas and rice and collard greens. The portion sizes are PLENTIFUL, and the greens and rice are delicious. Now, the oxtails and chicken were a different story. The oxtails were as tough as nails. The curry chicken was DRY - so dry I choked on it. Maybe it was a bad day. Not sure if I'll try it again.

We showed up unannounced with a large party from the LBA Basketball Program, and Naomi’s Garden handled it like absolute pros. Noam greeted us warmly and immediately helped arrange a buffet-style setup featuring all the popular Haitian dishes—everything was flavorful, authentic, and beautifully prepared. The GM, Malinda, was extremely attentive, making sure everyone knew what each dish was and felt comfortable, and Matta was very professional and efficient while setting everything up. This was a real test of Naomi’s Garden’s ability to handle pressure and a big group, and they passed with flying colors. Beyond the amazing food, we genuinely learned about Haitian culture through the cuisine. Incredible experience—highly recommend Naomi’s Garden for both the food and the hospitality. 🇭🇹🍽️

Noam was an excellent communicator. He was very patient and helpful. I explained to him my wife's and my dietary restrictions along with our guest. He listened carefully, made good suggestions, modification to menus and helped make sure our needs were met and our guest needs were met. He also worked within our budget. Closer to our wedding rehearsal dinner date he followed up to make sure of any changes or updates to our menu. He checked in every couple of weeks and if I had a question he responded promptly. He created a menu and a catering quote that itemized prices and dishes to cut cost and help stay within budget and gave suggestions to maximize quantity. He was very flexible and patient with us when we change the menu several times. Noam was willing to work with our request to say within budget. The food he prepared was excellent!!!! And our guest loved it!!! We were very impressed with how he fulfilled our food request. He exceeded our expectations and excelled in providing outstanding customer service. We would recommend Naomi's Garden Restaurant and Lounge based on the outstanding services and overall experience. Thank you for all you did!!! Izzy

Delicious, flavourful food which we enjoyed in a peaceful garden setting. Mine was a selection of vegan dishes and absolutely wonderful and my husband had the curried goat. We’ve never had Haitian food before but it was fantastic. It was also not expensive and the portions were huge. Highly recommend.

The set-up is like a food truck but there is an area in the back to sit if you want to stay. You walk to what looks like a fish tank and you point out what you want to eat. There are plenty of options. If you don't speak Creole, make sure to point dry specifically to where your food option is. The service is fast. Th parking is non-existent due to the location. Plan accordingly.

from the street it looks like a little hole-in-the-wall but don't let that fool you. the food was really great. they have a big outdoor dining space in back that they're renovating. it will be amazing when they're done. you order at the window, wait for your food & bring it out back or take it home/wherever. service was great & not a long wait. portions are very big.

This was the week for Caribbean. I felt like I was in the islands, looking at the food in the heating try and trying to make a decision. My go-to is curry goat, my friend had the jerk chicken. We both had rice and peas, she had collage greens and I went healthy with salad. We ordered from the window and went out to the garden to eat. There were few people, so we were served quickly and our food was hot and fresh. The garden in the back was a bit deserted and desolate but totally safe. Needless to say, we enjoyed all that we had.

Worst customer service. Only outdoor seating which subject you to having flies land on your food. This is the sixth and last time I will eat here. My experience get worse each time I come.

My family and I ate dinner at Naomi's this past week. The ambiance is great, but nothing unique. However, the food and service was nothing less than excellent. The meals were a little pricey, but we were in the Miami area and on the beach. Higher prices are to be expected.

I read that this was the best Haitian restaurant in Miami so I went and gave it try. I went on two occasions. I went with a group of friend on a Sunday morning (around 10) and most of the dishes hadn't been prepared yet. I returned a couple of days later by myself around 11 and everything was there. I ordered the stewed goat (which is not something you typically want to order at a Haitian restaurant - not everyone prepares it properly), rice and peas, and passion fruit juice. You could see specs of the passion fruit seeds in the juice so you know it was fresh. The goat was well prepared. They gave large chunks of meet so you don't feel like you're getting ripped off. The whole thing cost me about $10 and could easily feed 2-3 people. I highly recommend their food. If the goat is that good, there's no doubt that everything on the menu will please.

I wanted to try Haitian food while in Miami and found this hidden gem on a random corner in the Little Haiti area!! What a find! I got the Legume which is a mash of vegetables and my friend got the fried fish. Both were excellent and the portions were HUGE! We ate the leftovers for dinner.

We ate outside in the garden area for dinner as that was the only option. There was a music event going on so we had to pay cover of $15 per person in order to eat in the garden. We were provided no menus and the dinner was a fixed price of $13 per person to get food from the various containers of food which I doubted had a bunsen burner underneath them. The food was good to very good and it definitely was a lot of food. My only complaint was being charged the cover charge. I understand we could have walked away but there was not other area to eat in. Also, the reason I gave the restaurant 3 stars was the bathroom. It was disgusting and dirty. Worst of all, there was no soap in the 6 holder soap dispenser. Each chamber was empty and it was obvious no one has filled it with soap in months. The toilet was gross and there's a sign that nothing can be thrown in thrown in the toilet so the toilet paper was thrown in the waste basket. If the health department made a visit, this place should fail. The kitchen was also open and it looked dirty.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at Naomi's Garden Restaurant. It was so hard to decide among the many delicious dishes. My friends and I were helpfully given samples of the food to help us decide. You pick up your food - in eco friendly take out containers! Yay for that! - at the window and then go around the corner to eat in the beautiful, leafy, shaded garden. The restaurant feels like an oasis in the city.

Naomi's looked a little rough from the outside. It is takeaway or delivery only and was a suggestion of a friend. I had oxtail, my buddy had jerk chicken. Both were fantastic! Rice and Peas was excellent too! Washed it all down with the Passion Fruit juice. Well worth the visit....

The area looks a little shady. But, this restaurant is awesome. The Jerk chicken is delicious. The sides were good as well. I had rice, greens and their spicy cole slaw. The slaw is very spicy but, the flavor is great.

Had Ox Tail and fish main dishes and authentic carribean side dishes. All were great and not expensive. In my 8 day trip to Miami/Miami Beach it was the best food I've ate.

I found this place based on a recommendation for the pool girl at my hotel. I asked her for a place locals go to and she did not disappoint. The food is amazing. I liked the oxtail stew better than the really good jerked chicken. Collard greens and the mayi kole was really good. Server suggested I try it before I made it my side. I think he was afraid I wouldn’t like it. It’s a cornmeal, legume, and vegetable stew. It’s good. I had the passion fruit juice and the rum cake. Too bad the menu doesn’t let you order an extra side of the entree for additional costs. You can pay for extra sides but not the meat dishes. Bummer! I’m going to try and go there again before I leave Miami!

This was my first time trying Haitian food and here I am two months later still missing it and that is what is prompting this review. I can't find anything like it in California. The flavors are rich and the portions plentiful. The back patio was a perfect spot to dine and relax. I would definitely check this spot out. It's a gem.
Definitely improved over the years! New vegan options!
I loved my vegan plates that I ordered from Naomi’s. I’ve had issues with their service and food quality in the past but they have definitely improved a ton. They practically did a 160 with their service. Now I have no issue ordering here and recommending them to others. I have ordered here every other day over the past week for me and my family. We weren’t able to cook meals this week so their delivery was very convenient. I have tried the vegan legume, jerk jackfruit and tofu meals. My family had also tried their curry chicken and curry goat plates. They were just as pleased as I was. Now if you order the pikliz when they say spicy they mean it. Not everyone has super spicy pikliz but Naomi’s didn’t hold back on the pepper there at all. For sides their Mac and cheese is really tasty but Haitian style for those who know about that. The collards could use some seasoning it does taste like can collards but everything else is super tasty. I still give them a 5/5. Will definitely try again when I’m back in my hometown.
