Went to Neighborhood Services last weekend and had s surprisingly disappointing experience. Sat at the bar for our meal and as usual, the service was outstanding from our bartenders Kareem and Josh. Very attentive. Started with the potato chips and dip. Very good. My wife ordered the sole and roasted brussell sprouts and enjoyed her meal. I attempted to order the house special, pasta with a bolognese sauce, something I had not had here before but was told later they had run out of the sauce. Kind of odd to run out of a special so early in the evening. Went to plan B, chicken fried steak, which has never disappointed until now. Waited a while before it was served. The meat was surprisingly tough with the crust being soggy and flavorless. I sent it back and Josh generously took it off our final tab. I will continue to come to Neighborhood Services in the future. I am assuming this was just a hiccup. With the opening of Town Hearth, I hope the chef will still devote the attention needed to keep the high standard at Neighborhood Services.

It was my first visit to this location and my wife's first visit to any Neighborhood Services restaurant. Enjoyed the chicken-fried steak with jalapeno gravy with bits of bacon dropped on top. Excellent waitress from McKinney. We will return to try other menu items.

We have been several times since this location opened. We think it is by far the best. Great service, great atmosphere, and better than great food.

The food was good and the service was quick, but not as attentive as it should have been. I ordered a steak well done and it was still pink in part of it. The waitress was apologetic and the have me a free dessert.

My family loves Neighborhood Services. Last night our meal was just average. It wasn't bad but it wasn't Neighborhood Services quality. We had the pate and grilled avocados appetizer, both of these were pretty good. Our entrees were disappointing, we decided our dinner was better at home the night before. When you spend &170 for 4 people it should be outstanding.

Really enjoyed our meal here. We were here for a business dinner on a Friday night. We were flying in from the frigid East Coast so we got to eat outside and it was really nice. Very casual, nicer picnic tables/benches, trees provided shade and a wood fence provided privacy. They had a large, interesting menu. We choose the meatballs for an appetizer and were not disappointed. It was in a peppercorn sauce and cooked perfectly. We also got the brussel sprouts in maple syrup and bacon. Delicious. For an entrée, I got the braised short rib enchiladas. The short rib was cooked perfectly. Some sour cream and nice cheese broiled on top. Very good. WE were too stuffed for dessert but I would go back and recommend it to friends.

Neighborhood services is one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. I try to come here every time I visit. I love the spicy tuna tartare. It's spicy, fresh, and so delicious. The mac and cheese is so tasty. One of my favorite desserts ever is the banana pudding. I seriously wish we had a Neighborhood Services in San Diego. The banana pudding is just so good... yum!

A fantastic restaurant in Addison!! First off they were extremely accommodating of our large group and were able to seat us on the patio immediately! The grilled guacamole was delicious as were the shishitos with ranch!! The chicken fried wagyu was one of the best chicken fried steaks I’ve ever had, it was beyond tender!! Highly recommend!!

We've been wanting to eat at a Neighborhood Services Restaurant and Bar for a long time and FINALLY got around to meeting friends there for lunch today. The atmosphere is okay albeit very noisy. Not a place where you want to be trying to engage in a lot of conversation. Can't imagine going there for a business related meal, presuming there was any intention of discussing business while there. The menu was quite extensive and the selections interesting. The four of us each had a different entree: 1 Salmon, ! Fish Taco, 1 Hamburger and 1 Shrimp & Grits. The consensus among our group was that our meals were okay but . . . unremarkable. Prices are definitely on the high side and we all questioned whether the meals were worth it. Two of us also had desserts; both having the Butterscotch Pot De Creme. Neither or us could relate to the, "rave reviews" we'd read about it. It, too, was just, okay. Our group was comprised of, "all over 50" so perhaps we're simply not the clientele or the food that this establishment, "aims to please." In any event, we're glad we finally got to dine there but we all agreed we're unlikely to return.

Neighborhood Services (NHS) has been a favorite of my wife and me for years. There are several locations around Dallas. Our normal stop is on Preston and Royal. This time, we hit the one in Addison. Okay, now for the verdict. We just love the food at these restaurants. Always fresh, always changing in certain respects, and absolutely always prepared with some excellent cheffing. These are not what you would consider fine dining establishments, they are basically elevated American cuisine. Like, in our most recent visit, I ordered a wagyu beef chicken fried steak. It was decadent and perfect. As a starter, I would always recommend the meatballs with their famous voodoo peppercorn sauce. So good. My wife generally leans toward one of the seafood dishes, either scallops or shrimp. This time she got a barbecued shrimp over jalapeno grits. She loved it. For dessert, we just went basic. We got the Sunday and enjoyed it very much. The only problem was that the cup that the Sunday came in was narrower than the oversized spoons we were given. So, it was almost comical as we tried to get to the rich fudgy goodness and then narrow bottom of the cup. I ended up using my index finger to scoop out the chocolate! I hope nobody saw that! This place totally works for an outing with business associates or a romantic dinner. I would not consider these great places to bring the kids, although some do that. all in all, Neighborhood Services continues to be at the top of our list when we go out on a date.

Good, but not a must go to spot. If you go, the food is good. But for down home southerners, you've had better chicken fried steak and better chicken pot pie and better food overall. It was very good though. The prices were good for what you got. Still go, but don't put it high on your list of must haves. I give it a 3.5 stars.

Lunch w/a friend - menu is varied - from soup/salads to sandwiches and more... but not so huge as to be overwhelming. The salads were outstanding (w/ chicken). Drinks are good too. We had a lot to catch up on and never felt rushed at all. A very warm, inviting atmosphere. Definitely a return trip is in the future.

The expanding collection of eateries at Village on the Parkway now includes Neighborhood Services. Discreet in its storefront you have to look hard for the entrance. Make reservations you will need them. The menu selections are plentiful and all very tasty. The bar selections are numerous and tasty too. The deviled eggs make a great appetizer. Our chicken fried steak and burgers were done to perfection. A variety of fish to choose from. Quality steaks selections. The noise level is high so be prepared. A nice outdoor seating area. Try this location you will like it.

I've been a few times for both lunch and dinner. I usually get the london broil/flank steak which has always been perfectly cooked, tender and delicious. You definitely need a reservation most nights or will have a wait. I've found the service to be consistently attentive without being obnoxious. I do tend to avoid going on nights/times when I know they are most crowded.

Had a business lunch here. We had various appetizers, and I had a salad for the main course. The food was good, but I wasn't blown away. The service was really excellent. Prices are high; that's to be expected. I'd eat here again--on an expense account.

Neighborhood Services has been on my list for quite awhile--it was worth the wait! We had a reservation and were immediately ushered to our table (we had the choice of waiting for our friends, but had a perfect view of the entrance). We even had the choice of eating outside--a lovely setting and a lovely night, but we decided to stay in. Interesting menu, many good choices. We chose to share a Caesar salad, which was presented on separate plates with individual servings of dressing and heaping bowls of fresh grated cheese. I had the salmon; it came with a side of veggies. Hubby ordered the short rib enchiladas, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our service was unhurried and helpful; water glasses were constantly filled. We even sat for awhile after we paid and were never bothered. Would have liked to see a dessert list--it wasn't part of the menu and I didn't ask (I don't like feeling bad if I decline after seeing one). Would definitely go back! Price point is definitely a treat rather than everyday. parking is a challenge in this extremely busy shopping center. WE had an early reservation and were able to find a spot.

My husband and I went to eat here the first week it opened and it didn't disappoint!the menu is similar to the original location. I started with one of their batch cocktails and it was great. We had the asparagus and pate for appetizers. I don't eat pate, but my husband loved it and as usual the asparagus in the light tempura batter are filling but not heavy! I had one of the fish specials for my entry and my husband had the pork chop. They were delicious. As usual the service was great. They have a patio that isn't open yet, but looks like it will be great for the spring. Parking can be a challenge due to the location (in the middle of Addison and not far from sherlocks / flying saucer) but they do have valet. I would also recommend getting a reservation. It's finally great to go to this restaurant north of 635!

Just went here for a business lunch, and overall it was a very good experience. The restaurant is located right behind "La Comida" restaurant and its sign is relatively nondescript, so it's quite easy to think that it is simply the back part of "La Comida", but it isn't. The locale is very quaint and trendy, with tables on the outside that on a lovely day like this would make eating outside undoubtedly a lovely experience. Seating was immediate (our host had made reservations in advance) and service was prompt, courteous and friendly. We ordered the grilled avocado appetizer. Plenty for four, and absolutely delicious. Who knew avocado could taste that good? For lunch, we ordered the Lyonnaise Salad, the Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the Halibut Fish Tacos. The food portions were adequate (a lot in the case of the sandwich), and the freshness of the ingredients was refreshingly impressive. All in all, it's really good food in a very "hip" establishment, but like many other eateries springing up in the area, this one tends to overprice their food a bit. $9 for four glorified slices of avocado and $15 for a small plate filled with mostly lettuce do not a great value meal make, but the restaurant's concept and prices are not totally out of tune with the audience in the area either. Expect to spend about $75 (tip included) on a lunch for three that includes a shared appetizer but absolutely no drinks (we all had water). For that much, you can take a group of five to Blue Goose Cantina down the road and have somewhat of a feast. TIP: Make reservations at opentable.com before you arrive. You get bonus points while using the app and during the lunch rush hour, when they are super busy, you won't have to wait to get seated.

I've never had a bad meal here. The chicken pate was an awesome appetizer and the I had the chicken fried steak for dinner. Not too shabby. Great service as well.

This is a new restaurant in the area open only 7 weeks. Valet parking or self parking is available. We were a party of eight but, had reservations so only had a short wait to be seated, definitely recommend reservations. Our server Knight was very attentive and provided us with very good service. We started with some cold and hot appetizers, Henderson Deviled Eggs (bacon pepper relish/ smoked paprika), Sticky Sparerib Ends (pineapple teriyaki/ green onion), Butcher’s Meatballs (PtR bleu/ original voodoo peppercorn sauce), Crispy Asparagus (lemon-dill dressing/ pecorino). All were very good. For the main course I had the Veal Shoulder Schnitzel with cracked pepper spaetzle/ arugula & apple/ pecorino which was okay. The meat had a good flavor, but was very thin more so then a true German Schnitzel. My spouse had the Trout Special. All the other couples fully enjoyed their meals also.

The food and atmosphere will not disappoint. The only thing is that it is difficult to find in the shopping center, especially if you are not familiar with the area. It is next to La Comida and Saffron House.

Rib Eye was good. Potato Au Gratin ok. Steaks r a la cart. Schnitzel hard and dry. $12 for Wedge salad. Just ok. All is just good but very high priced.

A fantastic option for small business and casual dining with friends. Always great service. Always great fare with options across the board. Great decor in a lively, but not jarring setting. A little bit of farm-to-table, definitely local TX influences throughout a globally inspired menu. Nice little patio and bathrooms that inspire me to make over my own. One of the best choices you can make in North Dallas. Meal Entrees generally are in mid $20s, but some great options in high teens.

The evening here was a treat. Food was excellent. Our waiter Seth made it even better. The atmosphere is lively & stimulating. Deviled eggs app followed by the seared scallops was filling but not overpowering. Capped off with the blueberry dessert & coffees made it a complete experience.

The entrance is a little difficult to find. We actually went to the restaurant next door in error. However, we were pointed in the right direction. We shared a couple of items from the menu and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks. Definitely going to go back.

Neighborhood services is truly excellent! My wife and I have been a couple of times and we have either had or tried the meatballs, sole special, French dip, fried asparagus, fried shrimp, meatloaf, wedge salad, Brussels sprouts, burger, and the tuna tartar. We’ve also had margaritas, old chaps, and Moscow mules. Everything is spot on amazing and the service is above average as well. Two thumbs up!

Came for dinner and had the oysters and the meatballs for appetizers and both were good, but the meatballs were outstanding with the voodoo sauce. We split the house made pasta. Unfortunately it was a bit of a small portion -- which means this restaurant is not one of the big food places -- but we think that is good. We also had the banana pudding and it was over the top. While it is a bit on the higher side, we enjoyed the dinner and can recommend it.

Excellent: Drink, Food & Service. Atmosphere is great. It is a bit hard to find the entrance. Recommend utilizing valet parking, it is difficult to find parking, especially on a Friday or Saturday.

The restaurant is divided into almost two equal sized sections -bar and restaurant. We all went there for lunch but understand from friends the bar is as good and busy in the evenings. The food choice ,though variety is limited, is very good and so is the taste. Excellent. Service is great with experienced staff. Prices are mid-ranged. Nice place.

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night and pretty much had the perfect experience. It was a bit of a drive to Addison from our house, but it was very much worth it. Parking was easy. The entrance is a bit hard to identify but once we got that figured out we were fine. Our server Collin was very well informed and friendly. He really made us feel welcomed and at ease. The menu is upscale and has something for everyone. We opted for ceviche and oysters for starters. The oysters were excellent, some of the best I have had in Dallas ($17 for half dozen). The ceviche ($12) was a bit different but ultimately very good as they don't marinate the fish to mush. The accompanying sauce around the mound of fish really added nice flavor. We really liked it. Came with tortilla chips instead of crackers. For entrees, I ordered the famous chicken pot pie and was not at all disappointed ($19). The flavors melded together and it was nice and saucy as a pot pie should be. It was clearly the best pot pie I have had at a restaurant and I would both recommend it and order it again. The wife got one of the specials, the mahi mahi and she loved it ($23). There was a vinaigrette that was outstanding and really brought everything together. The fish was cooked perfectly and it was an appropriate size. A great dish. At the end of the meal the owner or manager stopped by and chatted a bit, thanking us for coming and again making us feel welcome on our first visit. Nice touch. The ambience is upscale yet relaxed. You can wear jeans or a suit jacket. There is a TV but it is not loud. I think there was background music but to be honest it was so low that it was unnoticeable so conversation is not interrupted. Overall, we had a high quality evening and could not ask for better a better experience. We will definitely return either to this location or one of the other two.

We came to Neighborhood Services a couple of weeks ago and as usual, had a fantastic meal. Steak, sole, potato chip appetizer were all great. We chose to dine at the bar and our server, Kareem, provided outstanding service. With a constant smile, he seemed to really love what he was doing, providing fantastic and attentive service. We will definitely continue to sit at the bar for our meals as long as Kareem is tending bar. Highly recommended.

I've probably eaten here more than any other single restaurant in Dallas. There are always interesting things on the menu. They usually have at least two selections of good fish. Their crispy fried asparagus is one of my favorite appetizers. It's always noisy but a small price to pay for a very unique setting and very good food. Their wienerschnitzel and spaetzel were absolutely cooked to perfection.

Our first visit to NHS was very enjoyable - our Waiter Lo was very professional and accommodating, at times anticipating our needs before we could ask. We were celebrating two birthdays - my wife and granddaughter;s - so we wanted to go somewhere different. NHS has a good reputation so we thought we'd give them a try. We had read about their Chicken Fried Steak and prepared ourselves to be delighted. They were large enough to share - thank goodness - $27 bucks is a lot to pay for Chicken Fried Steak in Dallas! But our Kale Salad with Egg and Pork Belly was the standout. Our daughter and granddaughter shared a Wedge Salad which they said was equally good. The Craft Beers on Tap were cold and delicious. A great place to celebrate with family and friends.

We were not expecting to go to NHS for dinner, but i am glad we did. I ordered the Short rib pot roast enchiladas and my friend had the evening fish special, both were delish! We did not have a reservation, but were seated right a way, and were out before the rush

We had the best lunch here yesterday! the service was wonderful and the food was even better. The portions are huge so if you are not too hungry you can split a meal easy. Wow we will be back!

I've dined at Neighborhood Services far more than any restaurant in Dallas since I've been here. The service is always good but Gage is particularly attentive. The nightly specials are written on the wall mirrors. This is a good feature for those of us always squinting and needing reading glasses to focus on a menu in the dark. I watched the service staff accommodate a very elderly couple who came in without a reservation on an extremely busy evening. Kudos to all who were kind and pleasant to that couple.

Perfect service, perfect meal. Red snapper perfectly prepared so quality of the fish is comes through. Veal Schnitzel with spaetzle just the way it should be. Banana pudding shared for desert that was legit.

We had a reservation for Neighborhood Services as a post Valentines dinner we decided to cancel but continued as walk in( running late )—I think everyone had the same idea of a delayed Dinner with their sweetie. The restaurant was packed but two things really stuck out to me was 1) they have a walk up bar area were you can easily order drinks while you wait without reaching over people seating at the bar. 2) Because it was so busy ( or maybe this is there typical service) they passed around their yummy meatball appetizers. I thought that was so thoughtful and it that type of service that sets a place apart from others. The food was delicious I had the fish special and cheese grits and my husband had the steak and mushrooms as a side. The Fried Asparagus is a yummy light appetizer that is one of there the specialities and the one meatball I did have was very yummy-definitely will try that as an app next time Atmosphere is nice and friendly-it is tucked away in Village shopping area but a very convenient location from tollway or Beltline. Definitely my new spot for date night

I really like this place. Stacked wood greets you upon entering setting a rustic mood. The service staff is very attentive and pleasant. Haif was my waiter and was exceptionally attentive without being overbearing. Apparently they have been awarded best fries in Dallas two years running. The fries are good. The Voodoo sauce is great! The redfish on cheese grits is wonderful.

First visit. Saturday 4pm. Sarah our server was friendly, attentive, and timely. Checked on our table frequently. Patient with our questions. Made great meal suggestions. Definitely great for date night. Wedge Salad. Crispy Asparagus. Kung Pao Shrimp. Roast Beef Enchiladas. Perfect! All of it! Presentation, temp, flavor were on point. Details count and they know it. Polished glasses and flatware, no leftover crumbs in the seats, chilled chocolate mint. Will definitely return!

What an interesting place. The decor is an eclectic combination of den and dining room. We came here for lunch and they had some unique items on the menu. The food was good, portion size just right, and price was appropriate. If you're in Addison, there are lots of good eating options and you should consider this place one of them.

First off, I hate coming to his part of Addison. I hate all the unnecessary valet parking and the tangled sprawl of restaurants and bars that are somewhat poorly marked. But I'll come back to eat here! And heck, it is just off the Tollway, so that's convenient. We had two fish dishes, and both were prepared excellently. One was a special, and the other was the trout. Both plates had just enough sauce to add flavor without being overwhelming. We also enjoyed the sweet gem Caesar salad - nice twist on a classic. We'll be back.

Inattentive and incredibly rude server…..I’ve never experienced such horrible attitude like this before! Ruined what was suppose to be a happy, celebratory evening. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Do a nice job always, a good vibe. Justin was very good too. We enjoyed the pimento cheese, meatballs and the tacos, The tortilla soup was stunning. Very nice experience well done

The food is ALWAYS exceptional. They always ask if anyone has allergies. If the chef has any question about an allergy he/she comes out and personally speaks with the person.

Lunch is a good time to find a quiet table to do business. Service is fast and the food is excellent. For appetizers try the meatballs and the Avocado dish.

About once a month, another couple joins my wife and me to dine in one of the many wonderful restaurants that Dallas has to offer. We live in the suburbs so it's not always easy to trek into town for a meal so we decided to split the difference and eat in Addison which is about midway from our place to downtown. We're glad we made that decision since Neighborhood Services was a great place to have a drink and a good meal. We met in the bar for cocktails and then joined our table (reservations are really a must since this is a really busy place). Our server, Jared, was excellent...handled our questions well and made some recommendations about starters and entrees. We decided on a wine and started through the extensive menu to choose our meals. Appetizers included grilled avocado, deviled eggs, county pate, and a

This restaurant came highly recommended by some colleagues and for good reason. There is a wide selection of adult beverages, especially whiskeys and wines. Meats are the specialty, including a 90-day dry aged steak, fish and poultry. The crispy asparagus was excellent. First time? The server is very helpful with suggestions.

I visited Neighborhood Services based on a recommendation from co-workers. Evidently, they get paid more than me, but I totally understand why they love this place. I reserved my table a week in advance, got there 20 minutes early, checked in and still had to wait. The lobby was packed with people just waiting to get a seat. Staff and atmosphere was great. Food was awesome!. Personally, I could have used more of a beer selection. Between my self and the others at the table we had the Grilled Avocados, Veal Schnitzel, Rock Shrimp Fettuccine (chef special that night), Banana Pudding, and Butterscotch Custard. We would all order every one of those dishes again. My half of the bill was $120 and none of us had more than one alcoholic beverage. That added up quickly, but the food was fantastic, service was great and had bathroom amenities above and beyond most places I've seen (men's room had free q-tips, combs, toothbrushes, shaving razors, cotton balls, etc) I will go back, but it will be when I am a little more prepared financially.

1st time here and I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first but glad we decided to have dinner here. We sat at the bar as we waited for a table but our bartender John was so amazing we stayed at the bar instead of being seated. Great service awesome food and even better drinks!!!!!

Great food, flawless service, well designed place. I prefer this location to other NHS locations. Their menu changes frequently - I loved veal schnitzel but it could be something different next time.

I got their lunch special of three salmon tacos. It was $28. It was good but not so good that it was $28. Probably won't eat here again.

Food was excellent, well priced and drinks were reasonable. The place had a nice vibe and the wait staff were spot on.

Hip, cool place (not hipster) to enjoy happy hour and/or a fantastic meal with friends, family or colleagues. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

One of our favorites. Able to score a place at the bar and decided to utilize it to have dinner. Our server/bartender, Kaitlen, did not disappoint. Outstanding service with a great knowledge about the menu. Very attentive as well. One of our favorites are the potato chips and dip. Crispy, savory and very tasty. Caesar salad was flavorful with anchovies to be used as needed. Preferred to have them incorporated into the dressing, but overall very good. The seasoning on the filet was outstanding, perfectly grilled. The sole was delicate and flaky with a fantastic butter/wine sauce. The best was the chocolate cake, served warm in a small dish with Henry's vanilla ice cream on top. So decadent. The great customer service from Kaitlen and the excellent food preparation will keep us a customer here for a long time.

Great outside dinning, really good food and good service. I would recommend skipping the grilled avocado but, would absolutely return.

I love this place so this is hard to do. But I was there on Saturday night and the service was terrible. We were sat at our table about 15 minutes after the time of our reservations which isn't bad. What is bad is we had been at the table only about 45 minutes before the waiter started rushing us out. He asked at least 3 times if he could box up our food and I was clearly only half way through eating my food. Then when he brought the check he came back and tried to pick up the receipt before I signed or left the tip. It honestly felt like Chili's service or Black Eyed Pea or something. Definitely not up to par for Neighborhood Services. We won't be back on the weekend again. It's not worth being rushed out of a place we enjoy. Seriously, 45 minutes for a rushed meal on a weekend night? Tip: People want to relax and enjoy their meal not feel rushed.

4 of us had dinner there Thursday evening. Reservations are a must, which we had. At 6 p.m. the hostess informed the couple in front of us the wait was 1-1.5 hours. Our party was seated in the bar area- it is a very small restaurant so I don't consider the seating location to be an issue one way or another; music is very loud wherever you are in the restaurant. For the main meal, my wife and daughter had the mahi-mahi evening special and her husband and I both had steaks. All meals were saturated in salt. Way too much salt. For the steak cuts, we were both highly disappointed. The arugula served with the steaks is outstanding. There are much better restaurants around the area for a good steak at a lower price. All in all, we left feeling we had wasted $250 (no alcohol on the tab). We have marked this one off the list.

Been to the location on Lovers before, and just discovered they have this one in Addison. Been three times in the last month since I found that out. Food is superb. Yet to find a single thing on the menu I don't like. Highly recommend.

Simple, but somewhat limited menu. They tout their French fries, but I don't find them as consistently crispy as McDondald's----a longtime personal preference. Cozy and relaxed with great patio for warmer weather. Fish on fish and chips is consistently good, and many praise tacos. Waitstaff friendly.

Went early and no wait. Were greeted and seated right away. Great beer and cocktail menu. Had BBQ chips and dip which was very good. 2 in our party had fish and chips which were great. They even told us where cod was caught. I had Veal Schnitzel. It was excellent. Sides are family style. We had one of Mac and cheese and one of Brussel sprouts. 2 in our party had half salads which were offered but not on menu. The presentation was spot on. This visit was great. They also had a very diverse menu. Highly recommend this place. Also everyone was extremely polite.

Innovative New American Cuisine describes this restaurant to the Tea. Dont come here if you want a boring burger. However, if you want to try Grilled Avacodo, crispy asparagus or sticky sparerib ends as appetizers this is your place. How about short rib pot roast enchiladas, they are awesome. There is great variety here, with daily fish specials, fish and chips, and bbq shrimp on the sea food side. Then you have the chicken fried steak, and the brined pork chop for the southern style lover. If you want food with flavor and enjoy dishes that you cannot make at home this is your place. Lunch here is great, dinner as well. Nice little outdoor dining area when the weather is nice. Can;t say enough great things about his restaurant. Ok, one little thing, you can't have really big groups here because of the size of the tables.

Friday afternoon in the spring in Dallas. Nice temps and weather and a nice atmosphere on the patio at Neighborhood Services. The crispy asparagus was definitely a hit today as I had some and saw at least a half dozen other orders go by. Their craft cocktails were also good. I opted for anything pink to drink.

This is one of our favorite places due to the food and the service. Love the bartenders--they make great drinks. Just tell them what you are in the mood for, and they will make the perfect concoction. Dinner is excellent. One of the best wedge salads in Dallas. Very good fish dishes, as well as an outstanding London Broil. Voodoo sauce is great.

Trip Advisor has this place closed on Sunday but lucky for us they were open. Just had the best Tex Mex in Dallas area...ever, and we consider ourselves aficionados. $4 house margaritas, best guacamole, salsa, and chips.

I had a $19 chicken pot pie. It was good but a little expensive for pot pie. Service was good and timely. It was a little more upscale than I expected too. Get there early because the tables fill up!

First time at this location. Smart redwood outside bodes well for the convivial inside. We had a 7:30 reservation for 4 and were seated immediately. Bottle of Cab from Paso Robles started us off, and we devoured our 3 appetizers - the Beet salad, petite oysters which my friend said were the best little oysters he had ever eaten, and the fried asparagus. We had 4 entrees - the very fresh and lightly battered fish and chips (huge portion of fries), the duck enchiladas which my husband loved, one great burger which also came with too many of those great fries, and the Schnitzel, with half going home with our friend because the portion was so large. We skipped dessert (too full) and were very happy we tried this location. We'll be back!

The Village on the Parkway in Addison has been expanding its food and entertainment venues - and the addition of Neighborhood Services is quite a treat. The menu is pretty similar to the one off Lovers and Inwood, but they do vary with some nice fish specials. We had 2 rounds of appetizers - the oysters and the warm crab dips were big winners.

I am particular about seafood however, based on past experience, I decided to have last night's special at Neighborhood Services and selected fluke which was served perfectly prepared in every respect along with mixed vegetables and a delicious sauce. Both the bar area as well as the restaurant was busy with people waiting to be seated however service by waiter Andrew was excellent, The ambiance was conducive to a good time and everyone was enjoying themself.

Visited location twice in two days, and both times I was invited by a different business partner. Both times great experience and food was excellent.

Dined at NS with a friend on a Thursday evening and came away both annoyed and unimpressed. From the moment we sat down they were rushing us through our orders and trying to churn the table. After they took my friends salad before she could finish we finally said something. The food was uneven. The pate and deviled eggs were good but the Chicken Milanese was marginal. At the end of the night we both came away with the conclusion that it wasn't a $200 experience.

Skip the much lauded asparagus and get two orders of the meatballs with extra voodoo sauce. So. Good.

Hard to explain how much I love this restaurant, I had lunch here without much expectation in actuality, and was mind blown: tacos, mac and cheese, wedge salad, brusell sprouts, oh wow its my new favorite place without hesitation.

Had a casual business dinner with 8 people. The servers were knowledgeable. The variety of food on the menu pleased everyone, and it was well-prepared and delicious. The plates are big--go in hungry.

This restaurant is buried in a mall. It’s not easy to find. Nice wood decor. Atmosphere that buzzed. Veal schnitzel with spaetzel was phenomenal. I’ve never had spaetzel browned and crispy but this was outstanding. Quick friendly service. Easygoing atmosphere for work conversations. Reasonable pricing.

Went here for a girls night out. Sat on the patio. The weather was perfect and other than about 20 minutes of sun in the face of the western facing folks, it was awesome. One person ordered the tortilla soup which is a tomato cream based soup. She did not care for it so they just took it away and didn't charge her. Offered other options but by then we had downed the deviled eggs, crispy asparagus and tuna tartar. So we just shared a hamburger and all was well. Indoor seating is nice as well. Not easy to locate because sign is pretty under stated. But it's next to la Comida.

Six of us enjoyed a wonderful meal at Neighborhood Services Addison. Great atmosphere - the interior design is fabulous. Great cocktails, wonderful food all the way around. Meatball and asparagus appetizers were delicious. The burger, chicken fried steak, steak frites were wonderful - we all cleaned our plates! Save room for dessert - the banana dessert and butterscotch were out of this world.

This is a fun and somewhat trendy restaurant. Had the red fish special and it was very well prepared and delicious. Appetizers were also good, only downside is that everything is a bit pricey, but it's a fun and nice night out.

First time at this location but was very consistent with the good food, professional service and nice atmosphere I had experienced at the other Neighborhood Services restaurants in the Dallas area. Great place for a Saturday special lunch with long time friends. Wide variety of choices of sandwiches, soups, salads, etc. as well as larger entrees if desired.

Wife and I were looking for a new cool place for lunch and found this little unassuming place in Addison. Very cozy, with hipster type servers but quite friendly, and exquisite food. Had New England oysters for app and they were fresh and nice, then redfish with cheese grits as main course. The fish was of high quality as were the grits and sauce. We finished it off with a banana custard that was again well prepared and presented. It is a little more expensive but I will gladly pay extra for great ingredients and fine preparation. I try to avoid the low cost industrial chain food places.

This is a great restaurant for business dinners, dates and birthdays. Great craft cocktails, southern inspired food, with a little twist that makes you keep wanting to come back. The ambience and patio of this location are hard to beat and everything that came out made us keep wanting more. The Voodoo meatballs were spectacular, the french fries crisp and addictive and the seafood cooked to perfection. Tip: They can get very busy so recommend reservations ahead of time! And DO NOT miss the Voodoo sauce

I try not to go to the suburbs, but when I do I plan my lunch time around Neighborhood Services in Addison. The Neighborhood Services in Dallas on Lovers Lane is by far the best restaurant in town, but it's only open for dinner. The other two locations are open for lunch and well worth it. Service is always great, and the menu is fantastic!

Very popular and gets crowded quickly and early - even on cold rainy nights! Ordered the 14 oz. ribeye and the flavor was excellent and cooked to perfection as ordered. Apps were oysters and roasted burrata with chips as I'm a celiac so no gluten (crostini) - both were very good. Service was outstanding as our server had to check with the kitchen on a few items for gluten exposure. Very patient and attentive. Can't wait to return and check out other menu items.

Best chicken fried steak I have ever had! My wife had the Filet and it was outstanding. Don't miss the meatball appetizer with their voodoo sauce. Its terrific. Great ambiance and my server, Dano, was the best. Be sure to make reservations as this place is always packed.

Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here a few days ago. Neighborhood Services was recommended to me by a couple of friends, and I was extremely excited to try it out. My favorite thing about this restaurant was definitely the decor. You can tell from the start that they are trying to go for the romanticism of travel (boats, airplanes, etc.). My boyfriend ordered the veal and I ordered the Fish & Chips. The dishes were delicious, and our stomachs were incredibly satisfied. The portions were bigger than we assumed. The Fish & Chips comes with a ton of fries. This could have been a 5 star review, but we were disgusted by how many fruit flies were landing on our dishes. We spent half of our time trying to keep the flies away. We would never have assumed that fruit flies would have been an issue for as nice (and pricey) of an establishment as this.

We surely enjoyed a very special meal out on Saturday! We could not have had a better prepared, and served meal! After returning from a three day trip out of town, arriving in DFW, we drove twenty-five minutes to Addison, and ate at the Neighborhood Services (make reservations). We enjoyed a well priced bottle of French Chardonnay, had their stellar meatball starter, and then had two special seafood meals. My wife had swordfish, and I halibut. Both dishes were superbly prepared be served.... best we've had in months! The fish tasted fresh, moist and very flavorful. The restaurant is on the pricy side, but if you wish to enjoy a wonderful meal for two for $140 (including desert and tip), and walk away feeling wonderful, this is the place to go.... by the way the front door is just around the corner (smile).

I’ve been to this restaurant before. We went again last night figuring a Monday would be quieter and it was full but a lot less noise than the weekend would be. We hate noisy restaurants. This one has a bar and we were sat there but there wasn’t tons of people at the bar so they weren’t in our face at the table. Service was a little slow to start and the waitress did forget a few things throughout the night that were ordered like a drink, a cup of chili and to come over more often to check on us. Other wait staff were right there to pick up the slack and even offered my husband a taste of a liquor from the bar since he loves luxardo cherries. She did apologize for her lack of service at the end but there really was no reason for it as the place was busy but not that busy. Yes we would go back again. The space is on the small side so not going on a weekend night. Everyone liked what we ate. Get the meatball appetizer it was really good not spicy at all. I had the Caesar salad with shrimp and another ate the chicken Milanese special and said it was good. Another guest ate the BBQ short ribs and liked them. We shared the banana pudding which was really good and the chocolate cookie and ice cream. It was really rich.

The food and service both stood out at Neighborhood Services. Everyone was quick to greet us and very friendly to interact with. The spare ribs, meatballs, and Brussels sprouts were outstanding. We ordered steaks and they were cooked perfectly, but were very expensive for the quality. They were not bad just expensive. Portions are very large, so you will not leave hungry.

We went to the Neighborhood Services restaurant because the original place we were going had too long of a wait. What a great surprise. We started with some tasty handcrafted cocktails. I had a Vesper martini which was well done. After only a 10 minute wait, our party of 6 was seated. There are plenty of options for everyone, including some delicious sounding feature dishes. We started with a couple of appetizers, including the meatballs. Everyone loved the sauce the meatballs were soaked in. I started with the chicken tortilla soup, which was very flavorful. Unfortunately, it was a little too smokey, chipotle flavored for me. I had the grilled shrimp on a bed of chili grits. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the grits were so delicious. I'd definitely recommend Neighborhood Services and we'll be headed back there sometime!

Biased review - the original is my favorite restaurant in Dallas. But we live in Plano now. This Addison version did not disappoint other than being a really huge crowd. We skipped the reservations and sat at the bar to eat, which was great. Food is really similar to other location but bar is way bigger and bar staff is nice. Not as loud as the original but got louder by the time we left. Only downside is crowd can be a little obnoxious on the "what's your most expensive scotch" or "do you have any apple-tinis" scale. Not really the place for that sort of thing, but some of that is expected in Addison. Price for the quality of food is amazing, I think.

The food here was wonderful. Everything was perfectly cooked, including the rare/blue steak, which many restaurants struggle to do correctly. Really enjoyed our meal and hope to be back in Dallas to try again soon!!

Very large servings Enough to share with everyone having a sample Roast beef enchiladas and chicken pot pie were great Fish and ships not so great, fish not crispy and too many chips Beet and Bibb salad should be renamed Cucumber salad as that is the predominant taste

Admittedly we went without reservations on a Thursday night and were told 45 minutes. Okay, we'll wait at the bar. 45 minutes became an hour and a half but the awesome bar staff and their incredible knowledge of libations kept us entertained. Once seated we wasted no time ordering the chicken fried steak. This was the real deal and if I weren't so hungry I might have considered splitting it with someone. Opted for the fries instead of mashed and they were thin and crispy; just the way I like them. Service was great and we opted to valet because of a very crowded parking lot.

From the shared appetizers (meatballs with voodoo sauce, shishito peppers and oysters) to the shared dessert (lemon chess pie with blackberries) it was a flavorful dinner. The fish specials were fantastic. The Wednesday special was fricassied chicken pot pie. Salads were crisp and well dressed. Cappuccino was perfect and hot tea was top shelf. Our waiter was friendly and efficient and though it was super busy we didn’t feel rushed

To start with, the service was outstanding. Friendly , efficient and fun . The food was pretty good , too. The ceviche and noodles with crab were interesting and tasty. The Willys fish and chip was also a good choice .

Arrived 30 minutes early and seated at the bar for drinks. Bartender was excellent, providing good recommendations for high quality pour. Asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and we confirmed yes, 39th anniversary. Seated at our table and that is where the wheels fell off. We had to ask to find out what the specials were for the evening. We had to que the food server to place our order for salads and again the main course. No offer to comp a $9 dessert, even after 39 years of marriage. :) Maybe I was expecting too much, but for just over $200 dinner for two, I was thinking this should have been a high end experience. Sorry Neighborhood Services. 😔

NHS is great when the weather cooperates, as the patio is quaint. Cocktails are fantastic. The food is good but can be heavy and redundant. The only thing that changes on the menu are pasta and fish specials. Everything else is always the same. In winter, the heavy food is welcome but in spring and summer, I find myself wanting lighter fare. Pot pie when it's 95 degrees anyone? Service is beyond awesome. They do make you feel at home in the neighborhood.

We had heard good things about Neighborhood Services and wanted to give it a try but after our visit i doubt we will return. This location is in a newer shopping complex in Addison and lacks in parking. The valet was full so were left to park at the Whole Foods where "towing enforced" signs abound. We had a 8pm reservation but were not actually seated until 8:45pm. The hostesses were inexperienced and we could tell from the first conversation we had with them there were going to be problems. The service was average but it paired well with the average meals we received.

Let's start with my friend and I ordered way too much food. Our experience overall, however, was quite satisfying, but not the greatest value. The best item was our starter, Fried Asparagus. Crispy, delicious and nutritional (notwithstanding the fried part). The tempura batter is light. We each ordered side salads (when one side salad split between us would have been sufficient) @ $12 per. We also split the Halibut entree which was delicious, but the half portion basically meant we each had four bites, and there's a split plate charge of $3 (on top of the base charge of $42). Add in some delicious Frites for $8 as a side. We found the service to be attentive and friendly. Parking on a Saturday night is a nightmare (so head for the Garage and walk to the restaurant). Will go back again but with a much better awareness of prices and value of price paid.

Initially when we walked in was worried as it was a bit noisy. We got seated by the bar near the door. Worked out very well. Do try the meatballs with voodoo sauce. I had the blue plate special, stroganoff.. very good. Other parties had the fish.. very good.

We went with another couple for lunch. Very nice inside, sat at the bar waiting on table. Everyone was very nice and drinks were good. Sat down for lunch. We split an appetizer. One had a hamburger and said it was good, but not for what they charged. I had Salmon and honestly, mine is better at home and it was over cooked. The other couple had shrimp and grits and said it was good, and the other had a lunch special which was fish, and she said it was fine, but nothing to write home about. For the amount of what the bill was, it should have been something out dang standing. We have been wanting to try this restaurant out that last couple of years. Glad we did, but won't go back....sorry to say!

This place has great food. The brisket was awesome the meat was so moist. The hamburger and chicken was delicious too. Also ordered the zucchini starter. It's a little pricey but worth it. Make a reservation it's a popular place even on a Wednesday night very busy.

Everything we had was delicious. The Shrimp and grits was amazing, and the salad with the egg (I forget what they called it on the men) was really tasty and unique. The wine list was extensive, but our server wasn't very knowledgeable about it. He couldn't really answer basic questions regarding the wine and kept running back and forth to check with the somm (I have no idea why the somm didn't just come speak with us). This made the ordering process VERY long. The patio was fairly empty when we went and provided a wonderful atmosphere.

We visited Neighborhood Service for the first time. Liked the décor very hip, sound level was acceptable even when it became crowded. The food was good, shared a burger with Pomme Frittes. Burger was perfectly cooked medium rare, Pommes were nicely prepared and both flavorful. The waiter was attentive and service was swift. The problem was what appeared to be a very frantic front of the house staff. All those that appeared to be managers and hostesses were literally running around the entire time we were there, very disconcerting. The busboys (multiple) kept trying repeatedly to remove our plates when we were clearly still eating and they asked us several times. I hope this was an isolated occurrence but we will not be returning. I have 35 years experience as a Bistro owner and I have never been to a restaurant anywhere in my world travels that displayed such a blatant over the top "hurry up and eat, pay us and get out" attitude towards their customers. We are not lingerers in restaurants, my wife and myself would normally be in and out in 30 to 35 minutes and back to the house. So we were not sitting around sipping coffee and idly chatting. Very disturbing visit.

Where to begin? Jason was very knowledgeable and interesting- and noticed my husband's sports car and chatted about it. The whole team is passionate and dedicated to what they do. We found the decor and patio vibe very nice. They mix things up with frequent and plentiful specials. Best Fish in area. Best Sangria in area. Best Service in area If you order carefully and have a medium appetite you can do dinner for 2 with drinks and dessert under 100 bucks. We are hooked.

Good buzzy atmosphere busy bar Always worth booking as it can get busy. The tuna ahha is fantastic as are the excellent burgers Nice outside area as well. Well worth a try

We visited here for lunch today. We tasted ceviche, meatballs and Cobb salad, fish and chips and chicken fried chicken sandwich. YUM also service was excellent.

This is a great place to go with friends or business meetings. Staff is fabulous and the food is outback of this world! My favorite place to eat in the Dallas area! The banana daiquiri and the butterscotch dessert are to die for!❤️

Lunch at Neighborhood Services today. Kaylin was the server. Good job. Knowledgeable and very nice. Had the Butcher Burger, medium/rare. Perfectly cooked. Delicious flavor in the meat. Bun was disappointing. Fell apart. Need something more substantial to handle that hunk of meat! Wife had the egg salad sandwich. Thick portion of egg salad. Quinoa salad side. Very Good. Nice wine list. Local and national craft brews and a full bar. Pricey, but worth it.

First time here and here's my summary: - Reservations needed or sit outside or bar - nice outdoor patio with trees - Excellent drink/wine menu - Excellent service, our waiter Hunter was great - Great appetizer menu and specials - Try the Voodoo meatballs!! Top 50 - good tempura asparagus and shrimp - Two drinks and three appetizers $70!

Such a great restaurant with a really nice menu. Our party especially enjoyed the avacado and asparagus starters and short-rib enchiladas for main course. It's a very busy restaurant, even on weeknights, so definitely book. Parking can be challenging, but they have valet available.

In a place like Addison tx, the night life is reserved for the young university type. Location is great park the car walk around situated amoung resturants clubs bars. The food is average with the exception of thier scallops which was amazing. Although I thought the portion sizes was small it was actually quite filling. On the other hand the enchiladas are heavy but great with a beer. They're twist on the classic Ceviche was a miss as well as thier macaroni & cheese. Drink were good and thier bartenders are clearly skilled. Overall the experience was nice pick the right food with the right drink and you'll be happy. The price is reasonable and everything was under 30$ except for some of the specials. Waiters are Knowledgeable

We decided to eat here upon many recommendations from other friends, so we made a reservation for 6. We each ordered something different and none of us liked our food. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak, which he said was oversalted and really had no flavor. I ordered the fish special and it was fair. Our other friend had the shrimp scampi and said the noodles were too dense and the flavor was strange. We just all really did not care for this restaurant and we will not be back there or at any of the other locations, just not worth it.

Great weekend vibe if you're looking for a bustling place, this is definitely a good one. Keep in mind it can be loud in the main dining room. If you're there to catch up with friends or whisper sweet nothing in each other's ears, I recommend al fresco seating, which can be wonderful and romantic. The menu is unique. Portions are good for the price, and quality of ingredients is excellent. Very recommended!!!

My initial thoughts of Neighborhood Services was nice. It's a very masculine type decor with heavy woods, pounded metal on the host station, and hunting trophies on the wall. The servers are all wearing some type of blue small checkered shirt adding to the outdoor feel. The pricing here is too much for me. A chicken fried steak is $27. Trout is $22. Schnitzel is $25. Those are just the entree with no sides. If you want a side that's extra. An appetizer runs $7 for chips and salsa to $16 for tuna tartare. It's easily $50 per person. While I really enjoyed my pot roast enchilada, it was not worth the price. The same was true for the Chicken & Dumpling Special and Chicken Fricassee Pot Pie. The service here was good, but not top tier good. When I think about the crazy parking outside, the long wait time, high prices and average food and service, I cannot say this place is great.

Our group of 35 visited this restaurant and we were warmly welcomed👏👏👏👏. We were escorted to a nice area setup for us👍👍👍. The waiters were really efficient in taking drink orders and explaining the specials and menu questions👍👍👍. There was a variety of dishes ordered starting with appetizers, a grilled avocado with chips and topped with salsa, deviled eggs, and grilled asparagus!! Entrees were bbq shrimp on a bed of grits, a white fish special, fish and chips, pork chop on a bed of creamy corn, stuffed rigatoni in a red sauce topped with a ton of cheese, and a Rueben with fries😋😋😋😋. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal and would definitely go again👍👍👍👍cudos to the wait staff for handling such a large group👏👏👏👏👏👏

NHS in the Old Sakowitz Village location has a great vibe. It is slightlly quieter than the other locations, but that is a plus. Lots of energy, activity and people watching without feeling cramped or crowded. Food was very good and the appetizer meatbalss and halibut entree, in particular, were both outstanding. Staff was both friendly and knowledgeable. The new NHS also has an electic decor, which is interesting and welcoming. Nice wine list and reasonably priced.

Business dinner with 13 people did not present any issue with the service, from the wine suggestions thru the desserts, the food was excellent and service impeccable. The "Voodoo" sauce on the meatballs and London Broil is unique and very tasty. I enjoyed my veal shoulder schnitzel with cracked pepper spaetzle and will order it again, but the other menu choices looked very tempting. Try their special Walla Walla Sangria if you want a pre-dinner treat.

Loved this place. Great bar, great atmosphere. Food was outstanding, including the numerous appetizers.

Nestled in the middle of the Village Parkway shops is this little place well known to the area residents. Neighborhood Services (Addison location) is one of the best restaurants in DFW without a doubt! Every morsel is delicious and the signature drinks are quite interesting as well as unique. Your taste buds with thank you! The service is fantastic and the ambiance is stately yet warm. You will definitely need a reservation on the weekend for dinner. Try it you'll like it!

I had a great experience a couple months ago and have taken friends and family back to eat here. The fish tacos are great... but they are only some of the best fish tacos I've had if they are served with the haddock. If they don't have haddock maybe try something else off the menu. Though the food hasn't been consistently amazing it is consistently very good food.

Worst fries ever. They tout their French fries, but I don't find them as consistently crispy as McDondald's----a longtime personal preference. We had fries served with excellent fish and they were literally soggy. Bartender ordered separate portion and these were just as soggy and limp. Cozy and relaxed with great patio for warmer weather. Fish on fish and chips is consistently good, and many praise tacos. Shrimp with grits was great. Waitstaff friendly.

Love this place! Everyday they have a special as well as a pasta of the day and two fish of the day specials. The meatballs are a great appetizer and the chicken pot pie is a comfort food favorite. The hostess, bartender and wait staff were first class. This is a great place for making a good impression (first date, work dinner). The bathroom is a trip! Made up to look like an old school men's locker room. Instead of music is was a Steve Martin book on tape playing!

This place is a little hidden and hard to find, but it's certainly very good. My coworkers go over here for lunch on a frequent basis and are never disappointed. I do recommend getting a reservation during lunch hour or prime dinning hours as it gets really busy and the restaurant itself isn't overly large. This place would probably be a good date spot too.

Food is identical to original in terms of quality and similar menu. The schnitzel is amazing. I wanted to compliment the place for being able to handle us with kids - sign of a great restaurant. Fantastic service, and servers you will recognize the next time you go. Voodoo sauce is the best sauce in the world.

I come here often. It’s best to have a reservation. Great patio. Great bar. Great food. Great selections. Great service. Small restaurant and very loud.

Billed as an Great American restaurant it's actually just foo foo food. Went twice. Never going back. 2 stars is for sympathy.

My fifth trip to this location of Neighborhood Services. Word of advice: Make a reservation! Great warm atmosphere, AMAZING service! Seriously pricey! Great drinks & wine! Our group of 4 ordered the Sishito Peppers and Meatballs as an app, they were terrific! Entrees included Fish o’ the Day- AMAZING! Lobster-AMAZING! And 2 London Broil/ Steak Frites...meat good, fries waaay over-done not frites, FRIES. UGH! Don’t promise “frites” and deliver fries. Is NS a great place to eat? ABSOLUTELY! Is it overpriced? YES! But, you will enjoy the atmosphere, most of the food and you will LOVE the service!

The town of Addison is littered with restaurants; including its fair share of national chains doling out mediocrity. To have local chef and operator Nick Bodavinus open a Neighborhood Service location, well, in the neighborhood is a refreshing addition to the Addison food and beverage scene! Recently opened, this location is still working out a few service kinks. The food is what you expect; big, bold flavors with Nick's hint of delicacy and trademark creativity. The management and staff go above and beyond to accommodate and the interior of the restaurant exudes a warm feel. Make a reservation!

Parking is kind of a beating, but it's well worth it. Service was outstanding and the food matched it. Some of the best meatballs I've ever had. We had the sole and the short rib enchiladas, both of which were great. Loved this place.

Three couples ordered three steaks, two cod dishes and shrimp and grits. The cod was inhaled. There was barely enough left on the plates to clean! London broil came with enough Frites to feed the table. There was no skimping on portions. The meat was cooked to order. The sauce with the London broil was delicious. Brussel sprouts and three Jack and Mac-n-cheese were ordered and subsequently devoured. Deviled eggs and fried asparagus were appetizers and those disappeared quickly also. Nice setting. Nice atmosphere. An interesting retro look in the bathrooms!

My friend and I ate lunch at NHS Addison. We had reservation at 12:15 and our table was ready. It was pretty full so I would strongly recommend for lunch or dinner. We had Mahi-Mahi ceviche for appetizer which was fresh and yummy. My friend had the fish tacos. I had the salmon teriyaki dish which was delicious, but since I started a low-carb diet today, the server and kitchen were able to fulfill my request of no soba noodles and instead swap spinach. Really appreciated their flexibility.

The fish was delicious. I substituted the Chips with Spinach. The spinach was alright. The coleslaw was a bit different from traditional coleslaw. This was more fresh and had a taste of dill in it.

We have been here before and it's usually very good. This night, not at all. 6:00 reservation-early as we had to be elsewhere later. The service was rushed most of the evening. We felt like we were in Applebee's where people come in, order, eat and leave immediately. The server came back time after time to get entree orders when we had barely even received our drinks. I had to ask about the pasta special was not offered initially. We received our entrees before we were even done with the appetizers. That is why you wait to take entree orders!! However, wine and water glasses sat empty despite the rush to get the food out.No table etiquette whatsoever. Plates were cleared before everyone at the table was done eating. My napkin was removed while there were still glasses on the table. I guess i use my shirt to wipe my mouth or if there were a spill. Again, this is not a casual dining restaurant. If IO'm spending over $200 for 2 people I expect the service to reflect that. The appetizers (tortilla soup and Caesar salad) were very good- but we were unable to finish them as the entrees came out so quickly due to the rush to get them ordered. My wife go the scallop special which she said was great. My London broil steak frite was ridiculously salty, as were the brussel sprout side. The beef, which i requested warm red center came out cool red. And the fries had so much salt as to make them almost inedible. Do yourself a favor and head to Chamberlain's or Al Biernat's where the service and food match the cost.

The name of the restaurant sounded like a cafeteria - but this is an elegant restaurant with fantastic food & service. The meal and drinks were excellent.

A friend and I ended a stressful week and kicked off a long weekend and this was the perfect spot. The restaurant was located in a great spot right by our hotel and offered a trendy retreat. The decor and vibe of the restaurant was so refreshing. We sat at the bar and sampled several drinks, all were well crafted, refreshing, and a good change from your everyday cocktail. We shared the meatballs for dinner and they were delicious. I look forward to returning and sampling the menu more.

Went to Neighborhood Services in Addison, TX over the weekend. Had the Chicken Fried Steak and, without a doubt, it's the best item on the menu. Well seasoned, crispy crust and fork tender. The creamed gravy was outstanding with bits of crispy bacon throughout. Served over creamy mash potatoes. I was torn between choosing a filet or the CFS and our server suggested the chicken fried steak. One of the best decisions made and best meal I have had in a long time. Can't wait to go back.

We had such high expectations after reading the multitude of glowing reviews. Maybe we went to the wrong place? They were having a bad night? Though I don't think a hopping Saturday night should offer what we experienced.... It started fine with our server Alana seeming very attentive and helpful. We ordered drinks - a Right Hook for me and a Spendrift for hubby. Both were pretty good and nice summer drinks. We ordered apps...I ordered the highly hyped meatballs, husband ordered the pâté, one of our friends ordered the ceviche. Another friend arrived late and she ordered the crispy asparagus. The ceviche was AWFUL. A very strong fishy taste and all I got down was barely a bite. No ceviche should taste that fishy. And there was a measly amount of accompanying chips. The pâté was very nice, with a wonderful tomato jam. The meatballs were, well...not sure why everyone raves. The sauce was indeed good. Very good. But the meatballs themselves had the texture of raw meat (they weren't though) and were somewhat mealy. I would never order these again. We didn't finish the pâté and jam so had it boxed up to go home. Our still helpful server asked me if we would like extra crostinis to go along and I thought that was a lovely idea. Sadly she never included them. Strike one. For the main dish husband ordered the fish and chips, one friend the special snapper, the other friend the burger, and I got the special noodle dish. The burger looked great and she said it was very good. The snapper was a tiny filet (Alana said it would be about 6oz...though it looked about 3 or 4, which to be fair is *about* 6oz LOL). The fish and chips were very oily and the batter was tasteless. The fish inside though was perfect. The noodles however were a near disaster. They were overly salty to the point of being nearly inedible. After dropping off our plates it was about 20-25 minutes later when Alana finally came back to see how we were doing. Um...take a look at my nearly untouched pasta and ask again. But she said she'd ask the kitchen to fix of the remainder of my pasta so I can hopefully enjoy it later today. I asked for more ricotta, she insisted I wanted more greens. Looking at what she packed up for me I see she won that battle. Strike two AND three. That crispy asparagus appetizer arrived with the dinners so that was comped. God thing because they weren't that good. The heavy batter was fine but whoever prepared them never heard about snapping off the woody end before cooking them. So half of what was inside was inedible, though the two inches of edible asparagus was cooked just right. If you order them, woe be you who starts eating them at the wrong end. We actually forged on with desserts and some after-dinner drinks. I ordered the pot de creme, which was very nice but I thought the popcorn wasn't a good addition. I also never tasted the chile that was supposed to be on it, which would've been nice. Hubby ordered the key lime pie which was the best thing we had all night. It was properly tart with a nice crust. We ordered whiskeys. On the menu they have prices listed. When we got the bill we noticed we were all charged an extra $2. We asked Alana and she first seemed embarrassed that we even noticed. Then she went on with some B.S. about how because we ordered ours with only one or two rocks they give us a larger pour and blah blah blah "we probably should put that note on the menu but hahaha we hope no one notices". We noticed and Alana said she would take the extra UNMENTIONED charges off our bills. Didn't happen. So sorry Alana, that was your strike four when you should've stopped at one or two. None of us can ever see us coming back here.

Very nice...interesting menu. Over the top comfort food but with some ethnic offerings as well. Eclectic drink menu. Attentive service.

We made reservations and it was worth it. Everything I had was delicious. For apps we ordered the grilled avocados (which I will try making at home), the deviled eggs (you can skip these) and the pate (this was amazing). I ordered a hamburger because it was voted top ten burgers in Dallas and I was not disappointed.

Had a reservation for 11 and waited over an hour for our table. Restaurant was extremely busy. Manager went above and beyond to rectify the situation, finally seating us at an alternate table and providing us a few complimentary appetizers for our inconvenience. Waitress was fantastic, attentive, and friendly. Food was delicious. Again, the manager came back apologizing profusely and surprised us with a delicious dessert tray. I will definitely return.

The front door is a little hard to find. Just look for the wooden wall and there you are. Plenty of free parking or valet. The restaurant is small, so make reservations. They are not set up to accommodate parties larger than 8-10. We had a party of 8. High quality ingredients, expertly prepared. The service was exceptional. The food timing was perfect and all entrees were well liked. Several ordered chicken fried steak - a large, battered, friend piece of beef, gently blanketed with cream gravy. All fish entrees were hot and flavorful. The butcher's meatballs were served in an escargot dish which made it difficult to sop up the remaining voodoo sauce. Too bad. Our party was mostly out of town guests and they all said they loved this place and would return each time they visited.

One night the service was great and the next night the service was the worst I have had in a LONG time. The food is good but expensive and to pay that much to be abused with such poor service. The girl we had on the second night was rude, reluctantly gave us the specials and we had to get up and go inside to find out all the specials. Did not come back to the table at all...had to ask other waters to take our drink orders. Just the worst experience and to spend close to $400 for dinner and take that awful lever of service is shocking. She never did pick up the check...crazy that the management doesn't monitor this better. And all our meals were quite salty...just so you know.

To start, parking in the lot looked like a hassle so we opted for valet parking. The restaurant was full (Saturday evening) but we had reserved our table so were seated fairly soon. We started with the liver pate for four and it was excellent. For the main course I had the Veal Schnitzel and my spouse had the Red Fish special, both were very good. For dessert we split the Blueberry Cobbler topped with Vanilla ice cream. In all our meal was very good and we enjoyed it. Service was courteous and friendly. It was bit noisy at the beginning but as it got later the crowd got older and quieter.

Neighborhood services always delivers on good service, generous adult beverages, and excellent food. My wife and I are here twice on our most recent trip to Dallas and as always we were very pleased with our experiences.

My wife and I are huge fans of owner Nick B.'s restaurants. The food and people are great. We were so glad Nick decided to open a NS in Addison. We recently showed up without reservations (recommended) around 6:00pm and while there were no tables available we sat at the bar and were treated wonderfully by the lovely Hannah and Carlos!!! We went with their recommendations as well as fantastic martinis made by both Hannah and Carlos. Started with fried asparagus, wonderful. Then shared the Chopped Kale salad, fantastic! Carlos recommended our main plates. Then my wife had Short Rib Enchiladas, perfect and I had the Schnitzel. We also shared the wonderful brussel sprouts. The main plate portions are enough to share. Unless your really hungry! Hannah recommended desert (which we never do) but the other courses were "so awesome" why not! So we had the cherry cobbler a la mode!! It was amazing!! We cannot wait to go back and sit with Hannah and Carlos in their world!

We had the pleasure of having an amazing meal last night at NS in Addison (I have also loved my visits to the Oak Lawn and Lovers Ln locations) The food was incredible (the shrimp and grits are my favorite and the chocolate brownie is to die for), the cocktails were created by a talented mixologist, and the staff is outstanding. Many thanks to Nammi (management), Mike (manager) and Edward (server). We felt pampered all evening. I have traveled the world and have had many fine dining experiences, but this was one of my favorite! Nammi explained to me that they call it Neighborhood Services because they want to be part of the community and they treat their guests like they were close neighbors, and that certainly comes through in their warm interactions and their high level of service. It is now my go-to place!

Was at the restaurant with colleagues from work. Overall, the service and food were very good. A good variety of items and excellent wine list.

This was our first visit and I booked reservations to celebrate my wife's birthday with other family members. We were greeted nicely and the hostess and waiter wished my wife a Happy birthday. They have a nice wine list at reasonable prices and we ordered both red and white which were enjoyed by the party. The food on the other hand was a mixed bag. We had the ceviche special as an appetizer. It was bland and needed much more marinating time in lime juice. The salads came next and It was hard to find any beets in the Bibb and Beets salad and the Ceasar was swimming in dressing. Three of the party ordered the Fish #1 and #2 and enjoyed the dishes but they were nothing special. I had the Pork Chop and was told they cook it medium which is great. It arrived as overcooked and tough. Pointed this out to the waiter but told him I did not want to have the rest of the party wait on me to get another prepared. Left about half of it as it was just too dry and tough to enjoy. Had two deserts and both were good but again, nothing special. This restaurant is at a price point that puts it in some heady competition in the area and I have had much better experiences at those (Chamberlains, Chamberlains Fish Market, Lazarandas or even Meso Maya for ceviche).

Terrific food, terrific bar. The appetizers at lunch are more limited than dinner, but give the BBQ chips and dip a try. Delicious. Ladies, if you get a sandwich, share it, because the portions are huge. All three of us liked our food and drinks, and they even have a variety of lemonades. Our server was terrific, also. I was impressed by how fresh everything was, and the care they put into the preparation. Moderately priced, too. We will be back!

My wife and I stumbled onto this place through Open Table when sorting through the overwhelming number of restaurants in the area. Lucked into a reservation, as the place was packed when we were leaving. Service was efficient and great. Very knowledgable staff. Small selection of craft beers, but enough to satisfy most tastes. Meatball appetizer with their voodoo sauce was awesome. We had the schnitzel and chicken fried steak dishes. Generous portions (though not enough to need a to go box). Both dishes were fantastic! Highly recommended!

It was my first visit but it won’t be my last. Knowledge staff, who are friendly and appropriately attentive. The appetizer, entrees and desserts were exceptional. I definitely recommend.

The fish was superb. Service is very good. Great location and not uppity. Great mom's night out location!
Very accommodating and friendly
I came in for lunch. Was made aware of Neighborhood Services thru an article I read re “Top 15 places in Dallas to get ___.” My heart was set on an entree they don’t normally have at lunch, but the manager asked the kitchen if they could make it for me and they did. I had a salad, the entree and dessert. I ate far too much but it was all very good.
