Dinner

By Alicia K |

Some of the best Thai food I have had. All our dishes were amazing. The service was quick and the staff very friendly. Prices were very reasonable. Don't miss this place!

Exceptional.

By Peter H |

Turned up without a reservation and only a small wait time until seated. This place was pumping with plenty of diners turning up trying to get in , and deservedly so! The service was great and the food was excellent. The Thai cuisine is tasty and the food here didn’t disappoint. Entree of curry puffs and shared main of cashew chicken and rice. Brilliant! This place was packed and the words out! Get here and delight in the offerings. ( Tip: Make a reservation ) Thanks for an exceptional dining experience. Bravo!

A great local place to eat

By Tracey |

Great little restaurant, thronging with locals. Ideal if you’re staying Fishermen’s Wharf area. Food was tasty and swift. Plentiful portions. Reasonably priced.

Top Thai restaurant

By FLTM |

Excellent evening spent with family. Everyone found the dish that suited them. The green curry was very good and very spicy. We highly recommend it

Great after a busy day!

By Katy C |

Quiet, calming atmosphere. Food was delicious. We did the spring rolls, yellow curry, and crab fried rice. Service was very friendly and quick.

We all wish we could go back!

By Letendre Family |

We stumbled on this restaurant by accident walking in San Francisco and were very pleasantly surprised. We shared different plates and all the food and flavors were great. All 6 members of our group loved everything we tried on the menu!

Great little spot near the harbor

By 411glennr |

The food was really great. They have a good selection of Thai beers as well. The service was very attentive and friendly. I would go back on a regular basis if I lived anywhere nearby.

Excellent flavours - generous portions!!

By Peter D |

We had Chicken satay to start and then shared Kao Gra Tiam (chicken) & Pad Broccoli (beef) with a portion of steamed rice. Struggled to finish! Everything was really tasty! Singha beer was v cold and the house red palatable. Service was a little hit & miss hence only 4 stars. Sadly you can't make a reservation here but as Americans seem to eat early it starts to thin out at circa 8.00pm. Well worth a visit if you like Thai food.

The Reviews beyond a one star were wrong!!!

By Audulio R |

I reviewed a number of sites including Trip Advisor and they all highly recommended this restaurant. We figured that with the Chinese and Thai influence, that at the very least this place would match the quality of food that we can acquire back home in Redlands, Ca. We were wrong! This place is a mess. We should have known that it was going to be bad day when the service was inadequate and the waitress failed to listen to what we wanted. The poor waitress was lost. I told her that we did not want a papaya salad and she ordered it. The green curry was cold, the taste was interesting but not tasty. The so-called mango salad, had fried shrimp with mangos that were tasteless. My wife had a yellow curry, in which the chicken was so tough that we suspected it had been around a few weeks in the pot. My son refused to eat the chicken skewers because there was no flavor to it. I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants and to be honest, this is the worst of all time. It cost us $75 for nothing. It was a waste of time. When we got home, we planned on going to our favorite Thai restaurant and enjoy our delicious food, Hurrah!! Stay away from this place. I am not saying this lightly in an attempt to disrespect the people of pf San Francisco, but if I could have given this restaurant a 0 rating it would have been too high. Rick

Great food - decently priced!

By Julia W |

Tried this restaurant as it was close to our Hotel. Didn’t need to book. Food was delicious & well presented. Very reasonable pricing - only beer or red/white wine - so that cut my bill down! Only criticism would be that they served the main far too quickly, not even half way through the starter so no space on the table & you felt obliged to rush the starter before the main went cold. (& it was too tasty to warrant rushing!) Would definitely return :)

Great Thai food near the Wharf

By Robert W |

Close to the wharf and Pier 39 but seems to be mostly locals. The food is top-notch Thai. We had a couple of the curries and the flavors were amazing. This place does a ton of take-out orders but there is ample room in the dining room also. We saw the dining room fill up and then customers were asked to put their names on a white board waiting list. We will be back soon.

Pretty good food. Food tasted

By jeremymQ9658HF |

Pretty good food. Food tasted fresh. The pineapple fried rice was really savory and sweet and it was a large portion. Not bad prices for fresh food. We had the chicken wings for an appetizer and they were really good but I would have liked a couple more. All in all we would come back again.

To avoid

By flavioge |

Stop by this restaurant. Pad Thai noodles with shrimp ordered with chicken fried rice. Two and a half shrimp and rice cut with two thirds onions! When questioned, the waitress tells us that noodles are never served with more than three shrimp and that it is customary to eat mainly onion in a fried rice with chicken??!! Go your way there are other Thai restaurants in SF that deserve to be stopped there to eat good Thai food...

Excellent!

By Carine F |

Welcome, helpful. Lots of choices but clear map. Excellent dishes, especially soups, very fragrant and very hearty while not greasy!

Delicious food

By Anna P |

Delicious! I got a stir fry noodle dish and the food was amazing and authentic. It was reasonably priced and located close to the piers.

Delicious and affordable Thai food

By nvanhar |

Staff was welcoming and friendly. Food was fabulous and very affordable! Would absolutely try this place if you’re nearby.

Nice food

By manonspot |

Wife and I came in off the street on a very wet and windy San Francisco night. We were staying just round the corner so it was very handy as we had just arrived that night.Good menu with some photographs of some of the meals. My wife had fried duck with rice and vegetables while I had my favourite Tam Goong spicy soup in large bowl.We had a couple of large bottles of really cold Chang beer to top off a lovely meal.Would recommend if your in that area.

Great take out option

By creativestartravel |

Great take out option, the food is tasted and very large proportion. Friendly service from catering staff and a short distance from the harbour front.

Great Asian food

By GillJezz |

We were staying at the Riu Plaza, so this was even closer than walking to pier 39 and it was better in every way. Excellent food, excellent service and excellent value. If you like Asian food I thoroughly recommend this lovely little place.

Nice neighborhood restaurant for authentic Thai cuisine

By michelec |

Great service and fresh thai food in a relaxed atmosphere. The duck fried rice was excellent. I highly recommend for dinner.

Delicious

By Princepauile |

Very nice Thai food, and lovely friendly staff will definitely come back here and will highly recommend, 10/10 delicious

Really good Thai food and excellent service

By davolitribe |

We had the green chicken curry, eggplant stir fry, chicken fried rice, curry puffs, satay, roti and all were very authentic thai. Service was swift, and meals were in front of us in 10-15 mins. Great prices too..... would definitely not hesitate to return.

Excellent Curries

By Nate E |

Admittedly, my review is limited as my wife and I only got curries. But it was good enough that each night we ate dinner we stopped to get Thai on our way home (yes, two dinners). The red curry is delicious with some peanuts in it. The peanuts gave it an interesting texture but also a nice creaminess. That was the case with each of the curries we tried. We also got the green and yellow curries, both delicious. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a massaman curry. :(

Tasty Curry!

By Tim K |

I ordered takeout consisting of egg rolls and pumpkin curry. The staff were friendly when I picked up my food, and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The pumpkin curry was quite good, and I was very pleased! The egg rolls were thoroughly average and not a highlight, but I trust that the Thai specialties would be as good as my order of pumpkin curry.

Convenient location but not very tasty

By Kelsey H |

We grabbed takeout here after our evening flight landed. Got a couple of curries and a few other things. All the food was way too spicy, not very flavorful, and honestly kind of hard to eat. We walked in to the restaurant to pick up our order and it was ready promptly, the people were very nice, and the inside of the restaurant had a lovely vibe. But the food would have have me going back a second time unfortunately.

Get the Larb

By Lorcan M |

Had lunch here recently, The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The food was good quality and tasty. The Larb was especially tasty very flavorsome

Must visit

By JC |

Great! Food was delicious and the service was top notch. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic Thai.

Great service and food

By _rlhz |

The staff we attentive in greeting and seating us, the food was delicious and authentic and the place was full on Sunday evening. A good sign.

Tasty Thai Food

By Wendy P |

We came across this restaurant on our first night staying at the nearby RIU Plaza hotel. The restaurant doesn't look fancy from the outside, but we could see that it was busy, so thought we would give it a try. We were seated after a short wait for a table to become available. The food looked attractive, was a good sized portion and very tasty. The price was reasonable too.

Best pad thai in my life

By Ida Drobnjakovic |

Really good and genuine Thai food. Menu is HUGE. Ate the best pad thai of my life. Polite and very attentive staff, quick service. The restaurant was small, clean and cozy. Would absolutely recommend! Don’t miss the Crispy pork, the Papaya salad or the dessert Sticky rice with Mango!

Foods ok, service not so much

By david l |

Fancied something different to eat and having walked past here a few times thought we would give it a try. Had quite a few people in here so werent taking a chance and the food was both tasty & filling. However the service was not very good, the food arrived nearly as soon as it was ordered and we felt like we were being rushed to leave. Didnt realise this was a fast food restaurant! Quite impressed though that when we had to sign the check the pen had a spoon attached to it. Not sure why & probably wont ever know as they werent interested in chatting

Authentic Thai Noodle

By Dorcas |

Authentic Thai Noodle Soup We order the mix Thai beef Noodle Soup , the soup is tasty , topped with sliced beef, meat ball, tendon and you can pick from Rice Noodle, Egg Noodle , Rice vermicelli for the carb choices.

Solid Food with Big Portions

By Bits M |

The food was excellent. It had a surprisingly local feel despite being pretty close to touristy Fisherman's Wharf. We went on a rainy night where a power outage affected large pockets of the city. These guys handled the apparent increase of to-go order and a typical busy hour well. The food was good and the portions were generous. It really hit the spot. We had a bit of a wait, but with the rain and power outage, plus a party of 12 reserving a table at about the same time, I don't know if that's typical. I would go back. I wish there were one close to my house instead of the sad Thai places in my neighborhood.

Dirty and cold food

By rafc25 |

Come here for lunch, a pad thai taken with shrimp, 2 shrimp and really not to eat!! Very strange taste, had stomachache all afternoon, chicken satay was delivered cold to the table! My wife (is Thai) had taken papaya salad, a fairly simple dish, not eaten! No taste! We ourselves have worked in Thailand for 15 years never eaten so badly we can not understand where the good reviews come from , We left the full order because we could not eat them but we were not asked if it was good or bad !!! then pay and left for us never again !!!!

Tasty place!

By Robbra1 |

Great food and good atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Service was quick and attentive. Would eat here again on next visit.

Good Thai

By mccdzyne |

Dined here for diner tonite, busy little restaurant 2 blocks back from Fishermans Wharf, obviously a mecca for the locals judging by number of takeaways being taken. Nothing flashy , but good flavousome Thai food coming from the kitchen. If staying at Hotel Riu plaza worth the one block walk for a good and very reasonably priced meal away from Fishermans Wharf. Recommend

It is also possible to have good food at a reasonable price.

By DR. DIETER H. |

The ambience of this restaurant, which is simple on the outside, is surprising at first. The service was friendly and attentive, but not always in control of the situation. Chicken satay and chicken cashew nut were made with fresh ingredients and were tasty. The roasted duck with rice was unfortunately too soft, but otherwise no complaints. The wine was simple and, at $32.00, inexpensive by Californian standards. Overall, this restaurant was the first inexpensive restaurant. The freshness of the processed products was also impressive. Conclusion: This restaurant is definitely recommended, if you ignore the very limited wine selection.

Top notch tasty Thai at reasonable prices

By Sunnydogs |

Attentive service, great food and super value for money. You would be hard pressed to find a better dining experience in this part of town at this price point.

Excellent food reasonably priced

By redjer70 |

We went because it had good reviews and was within walking distance of our hotel. The service was excellent and the food was prepared to our level of heat. I ordered the green curry which had the delicate spicing that makes the difference between an adequate versus an excellent food.

Good food and good restaurant

By 474alanh |

Good food. Varied selection. Nice staff. Reasonable priced. Not too crowded. Great for families and individuals alike.

Good little place with great food quality

By Gracie2307 |

Excellent food and good quality. The management of people numbers per table could be better (putting 1 person on a 4 person table and making the 4 people wait 20 mins to get a table). Service was good and price was fair.

The Worst

By misanthropicdreamer |

Ordered take out. I got the duck fried rice. The rice was greasy and bland with raw onions. The “duck” consisted of inedible fat, skin and gristle. No normal edible pieces of duck. Just awful.

Hidden Gem

By Columbus_OhioMichael |

Wandering back to our hotel from an afternoon at the various piers we stumbled into this quaint restaurant. The service was great and friendly. The food was tasty, fresh and in generous portions. They did a high volume of carry out while we were there.

Great meal at New Thai Elephant

By Mike |

Great meal at the New Thai Elephant. I had the Pad See-Ew Noodle with Duck and my partner Chicken Panang Curry. We both really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend. The restaurant was just around the corner from our hotel and so glad we stumbled across it. Much tastier and better value than some of the Tourist restaurants we have visited.

One of the best Thai curry’s we’ve ever had!

By Francesca |

Beautiful food, wonderful service. The staff were very attentive. Food came out quickly. Very reasonably priced.

Excellent dining experience

By ScubaDave16 |

We stopped in after a long day of tourist stuff in San Francisco We were seated quickly The server was very pleasant and attentive despite being quite busy The menu was large with many selections I was able to customize my selection to make it less spicy The chicken cashew was excellent They had a selection of Thai beers It was a very good choice for dinner in the area

Really Nice Thai Food here!!

By Adamski1957 |

Very pleasantly surprised by this place. Very good Thai food menu with everyone’s favourites I’m sure. I had the Som Tum (Green Papaya Salad) which came with all the usual ingredients. This was followed by Tom Yum Koong (Hot And Sour soup with shrimp) both dishes very flavoursome and service was good. Nice people!!

Good Thai food near Fisherman’s Wharf.

By JulesJ12345 |

Good Thai food- chicken noodle soup with wide, flat noodles was delicious. Pad see ewe, egg rolls, breaded chicken and fried rice were very good too. It was a nice break from all the seafood to eat Thai and their location near Fisherman’s Wharf was close to our hotel. We did carry out.

It quite what we expected, but ok

By Peter G |

The Restaurant was close to our hotel. The dishes offered were good, not too much. We may have had bad luck with our choices (with duck) as they were only average. What we could see on other plates looked at least much better. So, we‘d try one more time just as the prices were reasonable.

Don’t hesitate. Very tasteful food !!

By DiVa |

Excellent food, you have to taste the calamari, fresh & very tasteful. Service is very fast even with a lot of other parties. Nice people.

Beyond amazing. My tastebuds were dancing! It was exceptional! Pad kee mau shrimp! ❤️❤️

By Flgatorsrthebest |

This was the most amazing surprise to eat such amazing Thai food. The pad kee mau shrimp was better than I’ve had all over the country. Ordered it to my hotel room- but now want to eat there in person before I leave San Francisco it was so good. I ordered it spicy and that’s what it was if you like spicy!

Reasonably priced, delicious Thai restaurant

By Tanya R |

This restaurant was a great find. It was busy but we only waited a few minutes for a table. The food was delicious. We had Thai red curry, chicken satay and two noodle soups (the soups are ginormous! One would’ve been plenty). Quick service too at a place that is central and only just up from the piers. Would thoroughly recommend, it’s very authentic too! Just like our meals in Thailand.

Amazing food, great customer service

By bll97 |

We saw a line outside this restaurant on Saturday night, so decided to try for Sunday lunch. We couldn’t have been happier. One of the best Panang curry I’ve ever had. I ordered this with shrimp which were cooked perfectly and plentiful. Prices were reasonable and the staff clearly cares about your dining experience.

Feel is like a go to locals spot!

By imtrippin88888 |

Love this cute spot! Delicious food and friendly service. We had the combination beef noodle soup, pork pad see ew and beef jerky appetizer. For the soup you can pick from 4 different types of noodles. Everything was delicious! Would definitely recommend this place.

Delicious

By Wiervier |

Delicious! We came here with our family and the food was excellent - the staff was great and we enjoyed the whole meal a lot.

Didn't meet our not-so-high standard

By Popopo1976 |

Location, convenient. Steps there, so it is not wheelchair friendly. WiFi, yes but extremely slow, pointless. Staff, very friendly. Spoke Thai. Food. Either it is not authentic or I think they adjusted it to local tastebuds. Very different from what we have in Thailand 🇹🇭. Was disappointed. Our bowl of tomyam was untouched but we of course paid. Do we recommend? 1. Yes, if you have never tasted authentic Thai food and don't like spicy food. 2. No, if you have tasted real Thai cooking. Will we return? Unfortunately a No.

Nice Thai restaurant in good location and with good prices

By Gary C |

Near Fishermans Wharf we needed a restaurant that would take 9 people and they accommodated us. The service was slow at the start, but fine after about 10 minutes. There was a great selection of choices. Beware: while not described as such we felt food was moderately spicey. We had plenty of food and all were happy.

Food Poisoning

By Philip G |

We went for dinner here on 02/05/2024 We ordered our food it came to us in under 5 minutes thought unusual. My husband thought the Pad Thai didn’t taste correct. I am a fully trained British chef & said it may be down to excessive use of shrimp paste in dish. I ate most of it we had 2 other dishes also. Next day 03/05/2024 my Birthday I was being very sick vomiting by 14.00pm followed closely by my husband the same. This led to diarrhoea for us both. I’ll for 4 days in total. If hadn’t have been for the fact we were catching a flight next day in to LA of our trip I would have found who to report it to the correct authorities to be investigated & take our complaint. I know the law within the British industry as I’m sure there is in the United States respectively. Do not eat here you may well get something you hadn’t paid for or indeed expected seriously ill.

Great tasting food

By Jeff S |

Tasty food, big portions, friendly atmosphere, great staff, fried rice dish was superb, wish there was a franchise in the UK

Delicious food

By e dessert |

The food was delicious and the waiters were very attentive. I order the fresh spring rolls which were not what I was expecting but were delightful nonetheless the serving size was perfect with a side of sticky rice. Would go back if I were a local!!!

Amazing food

By Trace79 |

Amazing food m. We both orders chicken wings and omg the portions sizes are massive . We also had they Panang curry and it was beautiful but too much. We should have just orders the curry instead of the starter each as we both couldn’t finish it. Decor is lovely and so are the staff and very reasonably priced and would definetly visit again if ever back in San fransisco

Dog Food

By Bulent K |

Terrible food, no taste and tough as shoe leather . Worst possible food which I would not feed to my dog . Big mistake I made trying out this place.

Nice food and great value

By Andrew C |

This restaurant was very close to our hotel. It's a small unpretentious restaurant, but the food was very tasty and the price far cheaper than other restaurants in the area. The Kao Gra Prow was particularly good.

Great place!

By Brett G |

Cute place with fantastic food! Small, so there may occasionally be a wait, but it’s well worth it. Staff are friendly and food was delicious; we went back and ate here again.

My husband said it might be his favorite red curry. This is huge!

By Dreama S |

We would definitely recommend the New Thai Elaphant. There were 6 of us & we got an array of food to try. My husband said his red curry may be his favorite red curry ever, which is huge because he had tried a lot of curries around the country. Everyone enjoyed their food chicken pad Thai, Thai fried rice, pad broccoli, Tom Kha soup was good but needed a little more flavor. Aside from good food, the employees were all so kind. They sat us right away even though we had 6 and no reservations. They had forfeited forgotten a side of fried rice ordered & even though it's came out Quickly he apologized with a Thai tea to enjoy while we waited. Lol! So kind & not needed. Our total bill was $125 for 3 apps & 5 meals. We would go back & next time I'll get a curry dish too.

Delicious food and great service!

By Kelshaw |

My husband and I popped out for a quick date whole on our family holiday in SF from Australia. We were greeted immediately on arrival and sat down with water and menus. The staff were very friendly and attentive and our order was taken promptly. We had the Pad See Ew and Green Chicken Curry, both very flavour some and arrived quickly. Big servings too. We would highly recommend this restaurant to future travellers!

Delicious food

By Shalini S |

We found this gem after enjoying a beautiful day at the Piers. The place is a simple Thai eatery, with friendly staff. The food is prepared fresh and served piping hot. There are various options for vegetarians like us. We ordered green thai curry, amidst others. It was perfectly prepared and quite spicy just as we ordered. The phad thai was delicious. Each dish had unique taste which tickeled the pallette. Loved it...

Fab!

By ktp1012017 |

Delicious food and friendly service for an early dinner - we had the red curry and shrimp pad see, both were excellent. Lots of takeaways going out while we were there too!

Try it! Amazing food

By Nish12345 |

Wow! Amazing food, and staff. Thanks to Jay for being so attentive. We had duck, chicken basil rice and Thai green curry. All yummi.

Not far from Fisherman's Wharf. Good Thai food

By yps2 |

Close to Fisherman's Wharf. Good Thai food. Very good value for money for the area.
