New York Subs has been an institution in the Park Cities, with an almost cult-like following amongst the locals. SMU students and faculty often have lunch here daily. College coeds away at school can't wait to return home and grab a NEW YORK SUB. Under new ownership, the restaurant continues to have a very strong showing. Last night the owner personally delivered a tray of sandwiches for me at the last minute. Texted me photos of the sandwich tray, and would not accept a tip !! He could not have been nicer. Customer service is dying -- but not at NEW YORK SUBS !! I am so thankful that we still have owners and businesses who want to be successful and are willing to go that extra mile. THANK YOU for the insane customer service and the AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS food !!! THIS PLACE IS THE BEST-EVER !!!

If you’re looking for a good sandwhich, this locally owned sub shop is for you. Soft bread (three types) multiple meat options including my favorite, an in house smoked brisket pastrami. It is offered hot and toasted but my preference is cold with their veggie toppings and Italian dressing. They have locally sourced meat options, not your typical deli meats. Great service and great decor including arcade games. And if you like macaroons and ice cream, they’ve got what you’re dreaming of. It is amazing. I like to support local businesses (this is across the street from SMU behind 7-11 on Hillcrest) and this is the one that keeps me coming back week after week. Check it out!

Smoked turkey reuben on white was excellent! This place is what a sandwich shop should be! I'm coming back every chance I get.

This place has amazing food and is totally underutilized. We ate there everyday and it was amazing. Please stop in and have a French Dip sandwich.

New York Sub is one of my favorite meals from childhood, and I am so thankful it was given a second chance! Shredded lettuce and their vinaigrette makes any meat choice sing. Sometimes Italian, sometimes Turkey, always a great sandwich.

Just stopped in for a quick lunch. Had a half sub, and that was plenty! Mine was a turkey and cheese "all the way," and my husbands was "Every Stop in NY". Just great from folks who make a point of eating subs across the country (and from Philly originally).
