Once again yesterday we enjoyed another wonderful afternoon lunch at Nick's. Always greeted by Chef's Dimitrios staff today our always great waitress Rachel. All seats are great with view of Mill Basin. We gave our drink order. One is Nick's Hurricane. Always tasty. We decided on this visit a Brazino Orgentnato w Baked Potato and Vegetables. And a Nick's Lobster Roll with Mayo and Seasoned Fries. While we waited we enjoyed their Caesar Salad. Both Entrees were excellent as always and tasty. Dessert were teas with Chocolate Triologies. Always a delightful and pleasant meal. Chef Dimitri always takes care of his customers. 5 Stars..?

My hubby & I finally stopped in to check out Nick's Lobster Restaurant. We have been passing by for years on the way to the nearby mall. We were greeted and made to feel welcomed by the hostess. The restaurant was very clean and is a casual setting. Our server was pleasantand very attentive. Our table was by the window where we had a wonderful view of Mill Basin - docked boats by beautiful homes across the bay and seagulls. We shared fried calamari for our appetizer that was cooked to perfection with a delicious marinara sauce for dipping. The house wine - we chose was pinot grigio & was a generous size glassful and very good. I had an excellent generous combo fish platter with fresh delicious veggies on the side. My hubby had shrimp scampi over linguine which was had generous portion of shrimp. This is his favorite dish to order and Nick's did not disappoint. He loved it! The bread on the table was served warm and was very good too. No room for dessert and we will return!

I recently planned a restaurant wedding in 5 weeks at Nick's Lobster House in their private room and I cannot speak highly enough about my experience there. We were not looking for a typical wedding venue (i.e. catering hall) and wanted a location that met our top priorities: excellent food, good drinks, great location, Fortunately for us, Nick's far exceeded our expectations. Every single person we interacted with at Nick's- from busboys, to waiters/ waitresses, bartenders, managers- was so gracious, calm, welcoming, and accommodating every time we visited, including the day of the wedding. In particular, managers Katie and John were wonderful to work with and Rachel, our server the day of the wedding, made us feel well taken care of. Honestly, I wish I knew everyone's name who helped out at our wedding because they all deserve acknowledgment for making our day as wonderful as it was. Guests loved the location and being on the water- many remarked that it looked like our wedding was on a boat. But what was the best part of the day? THE FOOD!!! The food was incredible. The looks on our guests' faces as the food was presented was priceless. Everything was cooked to perfection- the lobsters, the coconut shrimp, the lobster cream sauce(!), the mussels, the linguine seafood combo, and so much more! It was more food than I think any of our guests have ever had at a wedding, so much so that nearly everyone left with several to-go containers. And when you thought you were stuffed, desserts came out and they were just as good as the meal served before. All this to say, I would highly recommend dining at Nick's. It's a top-notch seafood restaurant in our own backyard with an incredible team that really aims to give their customers a great experience. I know that they definitely earned a number of new patrons following our event!

Bekka was soooo freaking friendly. She advised us of the specials for the day. My tempura shrimp was fried to perfection & let’s not forget the juicy lobster.. please get the lemon drop drink it’s soooooooooo good ..will be returning

We visited Nick's lobster on Sunday,10/30 /16 for Dinner. The food was horrible. The lobster tale had a black lines and smell rotten stuff!!! !Manager just said" Sorry" and excluded the lobster tale from our bill. The waitress told us that the black part of lobster tale was because it was grilled. She thought that we never ate lobsters before! LOL! !!! Be aware and stay away from this dirty place.

We've driven by Nick's Lobster many times and finally decided to stop in for lunch a few weeks ago. The restaurant looks rather classy inside, and the location is really nice. It's right on the water, with beautiful views, and unfortunately you're really paying for location. The food was extremely overpriced for what you got, and very similar in quality to food you'd find in a restaurant on a tourist strip where no locals ever eat. We ordered a mix of seafood and other dishes, and everyone walked away disappointed. One person had the burger and said that was even sub-par. Someone else had the clams as an appetizer, and said they were ok, but not great. The lobster was emaciated and one of the smallest creatures I've ever seen served at a restaurant... even though it was supposedly over a pound. The side of pasta with oil and garlic sauce tasted pretty good, but was sopping in so much oil it was hard to eat. The side of fries were so bland that they followed the theme of being edible but really disappointing. This would be a great place to go for drinks, as the location is really nice, and as long as you are not expecting the food to be particularly delicious, I'd even say it's a decent place to stop in for a small bite, so that you can sit by the window and enjoy the view. However, if you're interested in having a really good meal, don't go to Nick's.

Nick's Lobster House has been around since 1955 and still going strong. Always greeted at the front door like family. We always get a great table to view Mill Basin Waterway. They take your drink order as soon as you are seated. At this time there is a New Autumn/Winter Menu which has some of the Oldies Dishes that are traditional and some New Dishes that are great. Most of the guests that visit seeing other table tops like the Lobster, Mussels, Crab Legs and the Great Soup/Chowder. But there are many other items on the Menu. We today like Raw Clams Dish, NE Clam Chowders, Green Salad w new Honey Shallot Dressing, Halibut Dish, Twin Lobster Tails w White Scampi Sauce with Baked Clams before hand. They do have an extensive Bar/Beer/Cocktail Menu. Every meal can be ended with a good cup of coffee. The Desserts unfortunately is commercial but very tasty to enjoy. Please give it a try and enjoy good time to eat and drink and enjoy a table of good company..

My brother absolutely LOVES Nick Lobster house, and after having their baked clams I can see why. The seasoning was spot on. My grandmother had the calamari which was also delicious. My mother and I split a platter with salmon, a filet, and shrimp. The filet was a biy dry, but the salmon and shrimp were very good. I'd stop by for a second visit to try the lobster.

Great food at Nicks Lobster House on our way to the airport - the caeser salad and the salmon are a must try. Stephanie our sever was great!

Great food Great food. We have not been here in a while and it has greatly improved. Food delicious, ambience great. Lots of nice changes. Definitely will come again. And our server Stephanie was really friendly and gave us great service.

The filet of sole was delicious with linguini marinara. friendly staff.great atmosphere. good prices.

My wife and I have passed by this establishment for years. One night as we were coming back from the Rockaways, we decided to stop in and check out the restaurant. I am so glad we did. We tried the Grilled Octopus, some raw oysters and sampled a Classic and Connecticut lobster roll. Everything was fantastic. My only complaint was the raw oysters may have been opened by someone with little experience in the fine art of oyster shucking. The waitress was also very nice and attentive. Definitely try out this seafood restaurant.

This is one of my top go to places for seafood. Not too far into Brooklyn and near the mall. They have outside and inside seating. Ricardo is the best waiter ever! His suggestions are always on point. I have told all my friends about this place.

Friendly staff, awesome food!!!! Definitely, recommend and want to visit again. Lobster pasta, Red snapped for us and chicken finger, cheeseburger for my kids. All the food are really great and very fresh!!!!!

MicallI our waters was fantadtic....Tuesday is 2 for one lobster....spent summer nites there years ago and as it has changed.....the food served was amazing....from the baked clams to the fresh oysters to the amazing steamed lobster.....can't wait to treat myself again and enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating to the fresh seafood......thank you miccla

This place has a deck for outdoor seating. The seafood is pretty good, but can be a little pricy. We had lobster and crab cakes and both were pretty tasty.

My family went recently to celebrate a birthday....we hadn't been here in over a year and they have redecorated and expanded the front and bar and did a very nice job. Food was very good....broiled seafood combo, lobster roll, surf and turf all got rave reviews....chowder and calamari were good too. Kids meal with chicken fingers and fries was available for little kids. All the food was piping hot. Portions were good but not cheap. The service was VERY friendly.....but......First waiter was very nice, took our drink orders and left. He came back after a little while and said he would now be making deliveries and someone else would be taking care of us. We never saw him again. Drinks came a few minutes later. Next server later on was equally friendly and very personable and took our regular orders. We never saw her again. Food took awhile, servers brought our food to another table first. Later, servers brought us food that belonged to another table. We finally got the wrong side dishes but couldn't find either server to talk to. With no waitperson assigned, we had to ask passing busboys and/or servers for drinks, refills, water.....multiple times......again, everyone was friendly but no one seemed to be responsible for us. Table next to us had similar problems and asked busboy who was clearing their table for wine. Woman behind us overheard us talking and said she came often for the food but had similar complaints about service. At the end of the meal, our bill included a gratuity for a party of six. I haven't seen this before except for larger groups (8? 10?). The tip was ultimately much more than I would have left on my own, but I felt it wasn't the staff's fault as much as management so I paid it.

My personal experience dining at this restaurant has been nothing but spectacular... this restaurant offers free parking, indoor and outdoor dining... Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday are specials that cannot be equaled at any restaurant! The food and atmosphere is very nice... dining is casual and pricing is fair.. I highly recommend eating there...

I have visit them for dinner with my family several time, but this time I organized a small dinner for my son's 15th birthday. The experience was amazing. A lot of food, very good prevented and delicious. The attention of the personnel was excellent. I will really host another event there.

I had an amazing experience. Ricardo was our server and he did an awesome job. Went over all the specials, ensured that we received our drinks and food timely. Ricardo really made my first time excellence great! I will be back!

Oh what a night! I recently visited Nick's Lobster House with my family and what an experience. The service was amazing, the chef was spectacular and the FOOD.... OMG, It was sooooooo good. For appetizers, we tried salmon cakes, zucchini chips, calamari, lobster pizza and a bbq salmon pizza. Entrees, we ordered up and down the menu and still made room for dessert. The drinks were simply delicious and margaritas in the mason jars..... (hit the spot)

I used to come here a long time ago with my family. Now I have a family of my own, but they don't like seafood. I solved that by coming alone. I was seated by a window overlooking the water, which, if you ignore the water, is a very nice view. The place has been around a while and is pretty big. They have a bar area, and quite a few tables. I had the jumbo lump crab cocktail as well as the lobster cream sauce, and they were both fantastic. I don't even know if they serve desserts or not, because I was stuffed. I'm definitely going back there, as there's so much more that I want to try, including some of their specialty drinks. They have their own parking lot right in front, and are also close to Kings Plaza, a main shopping mall in Brooklyn. It's great to see that the tradition of great food at great prices is still in effect here.

come on Tuesdays and you can get second lobster for free! they have seats outside which is nice if it's summer time of course)))). i love this place.

I had a reservation for 6pm and got there at 6:30, they still seated us right away and did not cancel my reservation to my surprise being that it was Valentine's Day and busy. The food was fresh and amazing. Our waiter was kind and patient. Can't wait to go back. Very homely restaurant

When we want a Great Seafood Meal we always head to Nick's Lobster House in Marine Park. We know we will get quality in both ingredients and service. We returned once again for a great lunch. Yes, the restaurant was filled and continued to fill while we were there. Got a great table by the window with the view of Mill Basin Waterway. The bar serves great drinks and cocktails. Look at the blackboard to see the daily specials. We enjoyed their Caesar Salad as a change with a wonderful original dressing. The main entrees were the Grill Salmon w seasoned rice and mixed sauteed vegetables. And also Angel Hair Pasta with White Clam Sauce. And we had space for dessert and hot beverage. You are never rushed to leave and enjoy our continued company. Being regulars, we are lucky to have the staff always come over to the table to see that all is going well. And if he is available, Chef Dimitri will visit your table to reassure you of your visit and experience. Please give Nick's a try and if I can add, come empty and ready to enjoy a delightful meal to remember. Lobsters, Clams, Oysters, Seafood and even Steaks available, enjoy!

casual, family-friendly place right on the water (Mill Basin) with outdoor dining or an enclosed patio available. Serves beer & wine, & kid-friendly items. In addition to seafood, has pasta, burgers, chicken tenders, etc.

This casual, family friendly restaurant which overlooks the water has been in Brooklyn for many years. The food is great, especially the stuffed sole, calamari, mussels, seafood combo pasta, chilean sea bass and of course their lobsters! Many Tuesdays hubby and I take advantage of their 2/1 lobster deal.

This review is solely for the lack of good management and service.I cant rate the food because it never came...we waited 20 minutes for the waiter to come.when he finally came i ordered drinks and he never came back to get food finally flag someone down order the food..waited an our still no food....i would think mayb the kitchen was slow but a couple across from us of a different race got fast service and even they food before us...we asked to speak to manager and john the male with the pony tail was rude...will never go back until they change the manager who only wants to have good service to a certain demographic..this is a short summary but it was way worse and embarassing the couple even apologize because they saw what was going on.John is the worst manager i have encountered

I have had lobster tails, shrimp, and clams over linguine. Delicious food, great service! My husband is allergic to shellfish so he gets chicken parm and LOVES it. No cross contamination, so no worries about allergic reactions. Their almond cake is scrumptious!!! My sister in law had the fried seafood platter. There was so much food she had enough for two more dinners!

What a lovely lunch we had at Nick’s Lobster House. And our server, Delisha was absolutely awesome! I will definitely visit them again.

There are not a lot of good restaurants in the Mill Basin area. There are a few, but you basically have to drive 20-30 minutes for a variety of restaurants. Nicks is only 10 mins. From Mill Basin. It has a nice variety of seafood. The service was good, but the restaurant can be a little pricey depending on what you order.

We had a delightful first time visit and not the last time at Nick's Lobster House today. When we arrived, we were welcomed and greeted at the door and seated with a window overlooking the basin which was a picturesque visit. Rachael was our server and took excellent care of us through out our meal which was a lunch time. The restaurant started to fill up which show a following of repeat diners. Knowing it will be the first time viewing this menu, we wanted to select items to get use to how the dishes were presented and quality so not to over stuff our self's. We can say that Nick's Lobster House is very generous with their portions. On seating your asked for your bar or beverage selections and also a bread basket is brought to the table. We selected the Baked Clams to share at the table. Also their Mixed Green Salad with the most delicious Homemade House Recipe Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing. Well all the salad disappeared. Next time we are going to ask to take some house with us. Being Lunch we all selected the Fish & Chips which were several good size pieces perfectly fried beer batter cod accompanied with shoe string with skin on french fries. I tell you Nick's knows how to deep fry their items to perfections. Of course we wanted to see their dessert menu which was pretty good. We had our hot beverages with all selecting the Chocolate Mousse Cake which was light. Well as said at the beginning, this will not be the last time but the beginning of many return visits. Specials that was explained to us were Tuesdays is 2 for 1 Lobsters which many diners ordered when we were there. Wednesday Raw Bar Oyster & Clams were 50% off and Thursday Pasta Entree's Buy one and get the second on half off. Please if you are in the area and it's even worth a ride, try Nick's Lobster House and you won't be disappointed. Reservation are suggested in the evening due to it's popularity, Thank You Nick's, see you soon. PS... Don't miss when coming in to see the vast lobster tanks. There even one on the bottom tank that looks like a 10+ pound lobster visible.

A very welcoming place for everyone, great food and great waiters, excellent location with a view of the river. very clean and friendly atmosphere.

Haven’t eaten here in more than a decade— not really a fish eater—but a singing duo that we like—Songbirds- were entertaining there, so we went. And we are glad we did. The service was great and our server was very attentive. Ate outside which was a nice experience especially at sunset. My husband loved the broiled seafood platter and rather than my go to Chicken francaise I thoroughly enjoyed the swordfish. Definitely try it!!

Went to Nicks for valentines day. The service as always was friendly and prompt. Most items were as they have been in all my past visits very good eating. One item has however undergone a change and not for the better. Nicks fried shrimp used to be among the best have ever eaten. They have changed to some beer battered monstrosity of dietary purgatory. They were limp watery undercooked and tasteless shadows of their past glory of Nicks fried shrimp. I don't know who's idea these were but in my opinion it was not a good one. Here's hoping that Nicks will return to the past receipe of fried shrimp and loose the beer batter in the file of things not fondly remembered. I still recommend Nicks. Just not the beer battered shrimp.

My husband has been trying to get me and the kids to visit this place forever. We finally made it. For starters we are a family that loves seafood even our boys. We were actually impressed by the place inside and the food. Everything was quite delicious, my youngest age 8 had to order a burger which I hate when people do that come on who eats anything but seafood at a seafood restaurant, my kid. Even that was delicious and big. He ordered the burger medium. It was juicy!!! We had the seafood platter, fried calamari and the stuffed sole. Everything was fresh and the portions were huge. I read bad reviews and people complaining about the price. Maybe they went on a bad day. As far as price you have to be kidding me!!!! I felt like the food was priced correctly.

Have been going to Nicks for the past few year for dinner with our family of 5. Seafood is always fresh, and the service always very good. This review however is for their Mothers day experience. Due to the pandemic we were not able to dine onsite, and took advantage of take out. A little nervous about ordering, especially seafood to go, but this was absolutely phenomenal. The lobster bisque soup was amazing, fried calamar super fresh, and the grilled pulpo i decided not to share (it was mothers day lol) it was that good. the surf and turf was the perfect dinner and almond cake deserts i also decided not to share. PS, they also had the most beautiful hydrangeas and calla lillies for sale and at super good pricing.

I've been thinking about eating at this place for years and finally decided to try it out. The food was really good....I had the lobster tail scampi and it was delicious. I will definitely eat here again.

I finally made it to this place after hearing about it for years and I was not disappointed. There is a decent sized parking lot as well as indoor and outdoor seating. I made reservations the day before and, even though my party got there early, we were seated promptly. Fortunately we just missed the rush. Two people in my group ordered the lobster and they couldn't have been happier. We went on a Tuesday so it was buy 1 get 1 free (we were unaware but our waiter kindly informed us saving us the cost of an entire lobster.) They said the lobsters were fresh and tasty, cooked perfectly. My sister and I ordered the seafood stuffing and were surprised by the size (big enough to share) and how good it was. Bottom line, this place is great: wonderful food, affordable prices and good service. It's a pleasure to find excellent restaurants in Brooklyn.

Quality food, nicely prepared and excellent service. The mussels are my favorite. The raw bar options deserve note. It’s family friendly and a solid value. For me it’s a bit noisy and not romantic. You can get tables with a charming view, but I don’t see it as a date night option. Excellent parking, near the Flatbush Avenue bus but far from the subway. Enjoy.

It's really not a LOBSTER farm it's a rip off place ,ask for a lobster , just 1 pound $ 27 or more👎

Amazing service Two years (2018) ago I celebrated my birthday there. It was great, food was delicious, waiters were kind and polite and atmosphere was so friendly. Really loved this place. This time (2020) I ordered food delivery, I called them to place an order and they were very punctual with the delivery. They informed and confirmed every step of the process. It was as expected , wonderful, the plates were pretty big, food was amazing, I and my friends got full not even finishing. Very satisfied 👏

We were seated at a window in the back dining room. Mosquitos were flying around the window and there was a tiny bug crawling on the table. There was plastic tablecloths or something hanging from the ceiling. It was an unpleasant start to what would turn out to be a very disappointing meal. We had mediocre salad, decent clam chowder and horrible stuffed sole. The stuffing was cubed bread no seafood as described. The fish was over cooked to the point I used a knife to cut it. The worst part was how greasy it was. We left over most of our dinners.

Went there today to celebrate my sister's birthday and we had a wonderful experience. Our waiter was very good, the manager was great as he kept checking in on us and other customers, and the food..OMG delicious. In my opinion, they make the best calamari in Brooklyn. O Yea, beautiful out door scenery AND they had a dj. I would definitely recommend that you give them a try. Hope your experience is as food as mine.

If you're going to have seafood, you might as well have a water view. All seafood tasted fresh. I asked about everything that I ate before ordering. They have a new General Manager. I read that there is problem re service. I think this may change very soon.

Quick review.... went to celebrate anniversary dinner and we didn't enjoy it. The wings as an appetizer were flavorless and tasteless...lacked major seasoning..... ordered the fried platter consisting of fried fish and shrimp again flavorless and what place doesn't have tartar sauce for fried shrimp and fish??? Unacceptable. Don't think I will be returning in the future. Not a great experience at all.

I took my parents there last summer. all 4 of us greatly enjoyed the meal including 2 different appetizers and 4 different dishes. We all enjoyed everything, which is practically a miracle. It was a beautiful sunny day too and the outdoor seating by the water was very pleasant.

Again we had a great lunch at Chef Andre's Nick's Lobster House in Flatbush/Mill Basin. It our all the time guarantee seafood restaurant for the last 6 years. What a great find. It was a delightful day so we opted to eat on the wonderful back open deck that is partially covered buy a decorative tarp. Air is being circulated with also outside fans. We alway start with one of the restaurants flavorful drinks. My wife likes their Ice Tea and my always Hurricane Nick's tropical drink. Something like a Blue Hawaii. As always you are delightfully be greeted and taken to you table. There one of Chef's waiters/waitress will take you drink order and bring you a bread basket with butter. After looking at their very interesting menu we gave our order. We have been there many, many times so we have tried a lot of items. All good. We decided today to have their Caesar Salad to share, a order of baked clams and both their Salmon plate accompanied with roasted potatoes and the seasonal veg. We enjoyed the meal and many other came during our stay to enjoy both outside and inside if you wish. Oh yes, many lobsters we saw going to tables. Beside that we saw pastas with shrimp scampi and also chopped clams. Granted the food is made to order for you so you will have to wait till they bring it to you. But again, enjoy your app's, drink and the beautiful scenery of the Bay. We opted out, but they do have hot drinks and also desserts. Pls take the opportunity to try Nick's and you will want to return year round. Mangia!

I had the 1 and half pound lobster and baked clams. The service was extraordinarily pleasant. The food, the service, and bein on the water was like going to Maine for an hour.

I agreed with my sister, Janet, at having a surprise dinner party for my mother at this location and it was the best decision made! Demetrius was such an incredible host and made the entire event a beautiful memory, not only for my mother but for all whom attended. Our entire large party were well taken care of by Kenny & Steve. I highly recommend this beautiful, our table faced the water, and delicious food restaurant. I must return during the summer nights to enjoy eating on the outside deck.

I recently dined here after playing golf at Marine Park, just across the street. The atmosphere is great and it's hard to believe that you are still in NYC as you dine right on the waterway. The seafood offerings were terrific starting with the stuffed clams we shared as an appetizer and concluding with the house pasta special featuring mussels, calamari, shrimp and clams. And I can't say enough about the service; our waitress was terrific. I look forward to more weekend rounds at Marine Park this Summer and will be concluding all of them with a stop at Nick's.

I am a frequent Nick's Lobster guest. I visit so often that I am known by my name. At first I was not too happy about the changes that the establishment was undergoing, however; I am warming up to it now. I'm starting to see their vision and wish it well. I am extremely happy and sad that my #1 server "Kenny" was promoted to manager, but I do miss him as my server. He has been our server for about 4 years now and basically knows my entire family. The food at Nick's is absolutely delicious! I love their steamed clams and their Clam Linguine is OMG!!! The new General Manager is doing a great job as well. He definitely came on board with a plan. I highly recommend Nick's Lobster to all of my seafood lovers out there!! Look forward to see the final results of your renovation.

Ironically after our bad experience here I heard on the news they were honoring vets for veterans day MAYBE THEY SHOULD RESPECT THEM AS WELL. MOST OFFENSIVE TO THEIR BAD SERVICE IS THEY ADD A TIP WITHOUT TELLING YOU SO YOU TIP 36%..My husband and I went out to celebrate veterans day, he is retired Marine and very proud...when we entered a gentlemen stopped him to thank him for his service seemed like a nice start to a nice evening. First bread so stale it was hard as a rock. The filet minion was on the bone and had some fat which i had never seen, and i had asked if it came with vegetables she said yes but when it came it was sliced onions and peppers. Desert we ordered lava cake it was stale plain chocolate cake dry and hard you could barely eat it we had ordered coffee she never brought it nor did any one refill waters. When i complained to a man who said he was the manager he said they'd take off a percent off the check ..THEY DID NOT AND ON TOP OF THAT THEY HAD ADDED AN 18% TIP without us realizing it till we got home and read the bill carefully...so my husband over tipped by double the bad waitress.

The servers were so friendly the oyster were good not great the stuffed filet of sole just delicious fried calamari a must. My friend loved her Chilian bass on the water or inside no frills but good food

My family went recently to celebrate a birthday....we hadn't been here in over a year and they have redecorated and expanded the front and bar and did a very nice job. Food was very good....broiled seafood combo, lobster roll, surf and turf all got rave reviews....chowder and calamari were good . Even Chicken parmigiana was good with large portion of pasta and the food was piping hot. Portions were good but not cheap.

Nice scenery, food was good, mixed drinks were par, and the service was somewhat slow. 8pm dinner on a Wednesday night. It wasn't busy at all until 8:45 but the service was slow as if it was busy. I got the stuffed shrimp (yum) while my partner got the steak. Asked for it medium but it was closer to well done. Still good though.

Alejandro was an excellent server. Top notch service and super friendly and accommodating. Service was also speedy. The chocolate brownie dessert was surprisingly delicious!

We love coming here because there's no strict dress code-It has a great view- has a large parking lot(free)- portions are great! Drinks are delicious & most of all the staff is so welcoming. This is our to go stop for seafood !!

We dropped by after doing some trail riding nearby. Atmosphere was wonderful sitting on the deck by the water. Food was great. We had raw oysters, lump crabmeat, and fried calamari (our least favorite thing but it was okay). Our son had the fried platter which made him very happy- it was huge and he couldn't begin to finish it! Good service.

Excellent service, great food! Our waitress Jaime was such an amazing person! Probably the nicest I’ve met in decades! Ambience is very cozy. Will definitely be back soon!!! Five stars!!!

Restaurant is by the water and during the weekend can get very busy but our waiter was very professional and friendly, luckily we didn’t have to wait to pong for our food. Lobster very fresh and very well prepared.

After attending the pow wow at Floyd Bennett Field we drove the short distance to Nicks for our yearly seafood treat as the fish is always very fresh as well as cooked to perfection. I was with my grandaughter this year so asked her to order. We started with mussels in red sauce. As I am not a big fan or red I would not have ordered this. Well Im glad I let her do it, It was so delicious not only were all the mussels eaten but there was no sauce left on the plate either! She then ordered 2lbs of snow crab legs, again something I would not have chosen, and again I was in for a treat, what was left over is a salad fortodays lunch. We sat outside on a perfect day, there was a light breeze and a clear blue sky, watching the boas go by and observing a sky writer trying to figure out what he was trying to write. This is somethin I do every year and am already forwad to doing it again next June when the Pow Wow comes to town.

Nick's for a lobster roll made the 2 hour ride from Ft Greene to the beach worth it! At $20 per roll, they serve their lobster rolls on hamburger buns, not hot dog buns, so you certainly get the bang for your buck. The service is fast and friendly. Tables are right on the water. They offer pitchers of soda, so if you're super thirsty and need major gulps of caffeine, you'll get your fix.

Great seafood with an incredible view - you would never know you were in Brooklyn, near a mall (Kings Plaza). We had a mussels appetizer, seafood paella risotto, seafood pasta, and lobster roll (hot and cold) - everything was wonderful. The location is gorgeous, on the water, across from a golf club, near beaches. It has both outside and inside dining. Some families were there after a day at the beach in beach clothes, some were there after Sunday mass dressed in beautiful dresses & suits - very nice atmosphere, very friendly service, great food. The restaurant has been here since 1955, near the Belt Parkway, free parking too.

This place has been an institution since the current owner's aunt had the seafood market! I used to ride over with my dad and we'd fill up the old silver aluminum cooler with fresh steamed lobsters....This was our go-to while everybody else jammed into the old Lundy's. I just took my out of town family in for raw bar, and I can't even think of how many platters of oysters and clams we slid back - fresh, sweet and oh-so-tasty. Fried calamari was crisp even on a humid day! Lobster bisque and clam chowders got thumbs up from the entire table. Steamed muscles in white wine just perfect.

The food in this place is delicious but nothing of extraordinary. Service is excellent but prices paid - hardly make any sense. Simple fish and chips dish for two will run you $75. It will cost you half the price in the sushi restaurant to get a large boat of sushi and rolls. Adding to the fray the 30 minute wait to be seated.

I've dined at Nick's many times as this is my mother's favorite restaurant. Usually I have a good experience and the food is decent. This is the first time I've been compelled to write about an experience here and unfortunately it isn't good. Actually my most recent two experiences here weren't great. The last time my mom and I went I ordered steamed clams and although the ones I could eat were pretty good, many of them were so gritty and sandy then were inedible. Today I went and ordered the seafood salad. It was advertised as containing shrimp, scallops, and calamari over a salad of romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber. The salad itself was overdressed (as per usual with Nick's) and there was a veritable POOL of salad dressing at the bottom of the bowl. I could have forgiven that if the seafood was good, but no such luck. I would have sent the plate back if I wasn't with my mother because she doesn't like me providing negative feedback so I shut up and dealt with it. The salad did contain all the seafood they said it would. Shrimp (a total of 4. A decent size though), Scallops (a total of 2 large scallops but with a weird texture), and Calamari (a ton). The seafood had ZERO seasoning. It was completely bland. The shrimp were salvageable because of the cocktail sauce. I'll be back because as I said, my mother loves this place, but in the future I'll stick with their broiled selections. Those seem to work better for me.

It's been a few years that we were able to go to Nick's and it has the same quality food. We had the calamari as an appetizer which really was delicious. For my main dish I had the Lobster Cream which was quite good even though the lobster was slightly overcooked. The tomato cream sauce was slightly sweet and simply lip-smacking good. I would definitely go back!

Again, I went to Nick's Lobster House for my birthday. The food is so delicious. My favorite are the bake clams with butter, garlic, and lemon. This time around I had the Branzino whole fish grilled. It was really fresh and good. My mom had the fried seafood platter. It was so much she had what was left to go.

The food was excellent. We were a party of eight at the.last minute we became a party of nine. The waitstaff was friendly and very professional.serving size was good for the price cooked well the salmon wasn't dried out but juicy and welled seasoned as were the vegetables. I would highly recommend Nick's Lobster House.

I booked reservations for 3 tables totaling 18 people for the dinner show for 7/30/16. I arrived and found the manager, a very thin woman with short gray hair, speaking in a very nasty way to the entertainer named Barbara. She told Barbara that they decided to cancel her show due to weather and she must leave. Barbara was very upset that no one called to cancel her before she traveled 1:20 minutes to get there. This manager became so enraged that she lunged forward with her hand raised as if to strike Barbara. Barbara was so humiliated and embarassed by this woman. She was nasty to me also when I complained that no one called me either to say the show was cancelled. I've never seen a manager look or act so unprofessionally in my life. She wouldn't give me her name either. I thought anyone who deals with the public was supposed to wear a name tag. My entire group left without dinner and will NEVER return.

The lobster tail was very good, it came with fries and corn, however I asked for a salad. My waiter, Armondo, brough a salad that was much larger that a usual small side plate served. It was fresh and just the right temperture, not ice cold as if it had been sitting the the fridge all day. He also brough both ranch and vinagrette as I could not diecide which one I wanted. The service and my waiter as well as the beautiful view from the outdoor terrace made my day.

We enjoyed excellent red snapper, mussels, and fish tacos. My son and his girlfriend loved the burgers too. This is a nice place for lunch or dinner plus parking is right outside the entrance. You can also choose to enjoy a great view of the bay along with the excellent service. There a few bathrooms -- a plus for older folks. Must add special compliments to the servers. Enjoy.

The midweek lobster special of two one-and-a-half-pound lobsters for the price of one, but without double the corn and potato, was a reasonably good deal at $51. Two of us thought the lobsters were tender, flavorful, and not overcooked. The sides, however, were bland, the potato dry and hard, other vegetables plain. A hamburger was tasty and well cooked. The New England clam chowder was thickened with flour and lumpy. The lobster bisque lacked flavor. The lobster roll was smallish without much lobster. The two fish tacos had very little fish and were composed mostly of shredded raw cabbage. The tortillas strangely both tough and limp. The Kendall Jackson white wine was way overpriced. The service was excellent; our waiter was friendly and helpful. The large covered deck on Mill Basin (an inlet of Jamaica Bay) should be charming but felt gloomy. The other rooms seemed cavernous. There is lots of free parking.

Had dinner at Nicks for the first time in over a year. WOW!! The have completely rebuilt the inside and it is beautiful. The food? Has become unbelievably good. We started with shrimp cocktails. The shrimp was fresh and the cocktail sauce amazing. My wife order the fried seafood platter. There was so much happening on the plate the we had to box up half of it. I ordered the broiled salmon with steamed veggies. I was blown away at the freshness and the care that went into preparing this dish. Perfect. The service was absolutely impeccable. YES! I will be returning very soon.

Went to Nicks Lobster House on Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn,NY last night. The lobsters were fantastic and on Tuesday are 2 for 1. Just as important was the service. We were seated immediately at a table right on the water and our waitress could not be more professional or attentive to us, in fact, after finishing our lobsters she saw that I was trying to remove some lobster stuck between my teeth and offered toothpiks without being asked for. She made sure we had plenty of napkins and wet ones for our hands afterwards and made sure that we were happy with everything. Well done! I will definitely ask for Magalie next time we are there.

My Husband and I went for "Two for one Tuesdays" on a Tuesday date-night in June, 2015 and we had the best lobsters ever while watching game 5 of the NBA Finals on their big screen HD TV.

On this past Thursday my wife treated to a Birthday Lunch at our Favorite Seafood Restaurant Nick's. We had a wonderful day to enjoy the Open Deck on the outside of the Main Restaurant building. We are sorry we missed Chef Dimitri and his visit to our table each time we dine at Nick's. He puts such care and concern into the preparation of the food as well as his special staff. I always wanted to try one of the Special Bar selection and enjoy their Hurricane Nick's. It was so refreshing. We always want to pick our favorite selections but do want to try something new also. We had our favorite doz. of Baked Clams so juicy and full made just right. I like to take the table bread and sob up the juices. We do like their House Salad but we also and as a treat for the lunch we selected their Caesar Salad made just right. So plentiful, we took the rest home. I was in the mood for lobster but not for the whole thing, so I selected the Traditional Lobster Roll and enjoyed it! My Dear Wife likes their Salmon Plate with accompanying vegetables. All the food was so good. Since we didn't want to ruin our meal, we opted out of dessert at this time. But we always do enjoy a great hot cup and one of their desserts. We have been coming to Nick's for approx. 5 years and look forward to each time we go. We have NEVER been disappointed with our meals and sometimes even take some thing extra home or stop to take out for an even meal. Please give Nick's a try and you will not be disappointed with your meal and their menu. Your know the place and food is great when the staff and their service reflects the Chef's compassion.

food is ok, nothing amazing... for a local spot there are many more other restaurants that have much better tasting seafood. it not terrible just nothing special. chicken wings are really good thats about it everything else just taste blah

We visited here for the 1st time today. Although our reservation from 30 mins earlier could not be found, they were still able to accommodate us. Enjoyed the crab legs (steamed), Nick's lager, garlic mussels and both new england clam chowder n bisque soups. Steve provided good service

We've been to this restaurant a couple of times, with lot's of time passing in between visits. It's one we've gone to here and there, and it's usually a fairly decent place with some good food. Nothing too spectacular, but we like it from time to time. This time we decided to give it a visit, and we noticed they remodeled the place a bit, nothing outstanding. It's not too fancy a place, but that's OK. Most of the remodel was with the inclusion of booths in the front. I don't think I'd want to sit there while people are coming in, and waiting for a table. Seems like you'd be on display. The other new addition was foliage, which included 2 ridiculously large obtrusive plants that you need to push out of your face coming in the door, and again entering the dining room. The leaves literally hang into your path in both cases. Hmmmm, did someone forget to prune them? I almost got hit in the face with the fanning leaves, they're in the way guys, get rid of the plants or move them out of customers way. This was with no one around and I had to almost squeeze past the plants. Imagine in a crowd, you'd need hedge clippers just to get to your table! About the flies...Outdoor seating is fine and maybe you expect some flies outside, but so many on the inside? For some reason this place doesn't have the proper means to keep flies from bothering the guests. Perhaps a zapper somewhere? Some fly paper where no one will notice? Unfortunately, this is usually an issue here in the past too and a major turn off, but this time it was unbearable. After first sitting at a nice table by the window, we had to change tables because the flies were non stop buzzing around us, landing on the window, then buzzing around us more. This was after my husband and I both killed a fly EACH, using our napkins, only to have those flies replaced with numerous members of their friends and family, soon after. Although it wasn't AS bad sitting AWAY from the window, we still had flies whizzing past us on their WAY to the window, instead of them continuously haunting our window view by landing on the window and the table. Soon, we feared, they'd land in our food. We feared correctly. How disgusting. I had the lobster bisque, which I've always gotten, and it's quite good, with a nice amount of real lobster meat, although could be thicker. This is one of my favorite things here. The grilled chicken caesar salad was good, and the baked clams were excellent. I do not agree they're better than Lenny's Clam bar as someone else said. No, Lenny's are bigger, and far better, BUT these were good and worth getting if you dine here. First time we ordered them, so those were good at least. Fried calamari was OK. Shrimp cocktail was a bit disappointing, with shrimps that were too mushy. I do find their shrimps a bit mushy, and not meaty or firm enough, but with some dishes like the Shrimp Parm, you can get away with it. For a seafood place, better shrimp would be expected. I got the fried shrimp which I never tried before. They came with tartar and cocktail sauce. Sadly, they were really AWFUL! The double crunch shrimp at Applebee's has these beat, and that's bad when this is a seafood place. They were totally tasteless, mushy, and the batter was thin, tasteless, flimsy and fell right off the shrimps with one bite as if someone forgot to dip them in egg to make the batter stick. Both the fry batter AND the shrimps had absolutely NO flavor. Even tartar sauce didn't help. The shrimp also had a weird watery mushy texture, sinewy. I definitely do NOT recommend them. Two were left over, no one wanted to even finish them, and we never do this, but let the waitress take the remaining two away to be tossed. So, that's pretty telling. We did not make it to the main course, the flies were such a turn off, that we left after appetizers. My train of thought is, if there are this many flies in the dining area, I don't even want to think about what's going on back in the kitchen. The staff was extremely apologetic, discounting the meal, and they gave us 3 desserts on the house which was very gracious and appreciated, but nothing could make us want to stay. The server was very nice and she did her best, as well as the manager, but there's no way I'd come back during fly season, that's for sure. While I have gotten shrimp parm in the past, and had planned to, I didn't. It is usually decent, again, their shrimps are mushy, poor quality, and have no taste. Smother them with sauce and cheese, and they're OK. This is the only main course with shrimp dish I'd recommend. Overall, on a good day, it's not the worst place for a seafood meal, but also not the best. Advice: Bring your fly swatter with you:(

No need to travel to Maine or Cape Cod for perfectly cooked lobster. We sat on the deck overlooking the water while we ate our two 11/2 pound lobsters which were priced at $44 including tax. Unfortunately we found our waiter lacking. Nicks is a no frills place with fantastic lobster.

Very comfortable with a nice view of the river. Staff very professional and food was on time. Reservation wasn’t needed, which was great. Food was lovely too.

The place is warm and friendly good size restaurant. You have the options eating inside or outside setting overlooking the water.

We happened to be in Brooklyn on a late Monday night and stopped at Nick's for a late dinner. My husband and I have been here before when we lived in Brooklyn 11 years ago and were curious to see if it was still as good as we remembered it. We have certainly eaten better seafood but in all in all it was still very good. Some of the dishes ordered were: fillet of sole, shrimp parmigiana with linguine, broiled stuffed shrimp and stuffed fillet of sole. Portions are a nice size. No one in our group cared for the yellow rice that came with our entrees, it wasn't very tasteful or seasoned at all, pretty bland. Our bill came to $185 without tip. I wouldn't make a special trip just to eat here but would certainly stop again if we are in the area.

I loved my dinner!!! We went on a Friday night to celebrate my father’s birthday and couldn’t have been more pleased. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were great. Shout out to the bartender that night making all of our drinks absolutely without a doubt perfect. I may have to come back just for the drinks one night. The service was excellent on all ends. The chef came out multiple times to make sure everyone was enjoying their food throughout the restaurant and so did the manager when she heard we were celebrating a birthday. It exceeded my expectations for sure. Can not wait to come back.

Last time we went to Nick's, over a decade ago, we were so appalled that we hadn't returned since. 1 star would have been generous at that time. We decided to try it again, on Labor Day (2015). In a nutshell: the waiting staff was significantly improved. (4 stars there). However, the place is badly managed, they were out of literally EVERYTHING that we were interested in, and we didn't find that out until 45 mins. later after waiting 25 mins. for a table. When the waiter came to finally take our order it was too late to go elsewhere. The food that we did end up with was ok, but not great and very pricey for that quality. If you have no expectations, and have through away money it's ok. It will be another decade before we try it again.

This is the first time we have been to Nick's since it has been renovated and we were not disappointed. We both had lobster dish's that were great. My wife also had the lobster bisque which was also very good. Highly recommended. Service was excellent.

This was our second trip to Nick's this summer. The food was delicious, the water view was perfect on this nice sunny day, the waitress was outstanding. She made recommendations, and we loved them all. This is a great place to come all year round, but especially in the summer.

Well we had another delightful meal at Nick’s. This time we brought three friends for the first time and at the end of the meal, they said they would return. We were seated on time since C19 you need to make reservations we knew we had to do. We all enjoyed drinks from Nick’s Bar Mixologist. I enjoyed the Nick’s Hurricane, which I find very refreshing. Order a large one that will last the meal. As always, I enjoy the Baked Clams. The Fried Calamari is also very tasty with House Sauce. Many other App’s to choose from. They also have Raw Bar selections. In addition, their Manhattan Clam Chowder is one of their soups. We enjoyed for the table their Mixed Season w Balsamic Dressing w Shallots. Salads change with the seasons. Another is their Caesar. I had the Twin Lobster Tails, which comes with Roasted Potatoes & Veg’s. My wife had Fish & Chips. One friend had Halibut Oreganata, Surf & Turf Sandwich and a Whole Branzino. All comes with Roasted Potatoes and Veg’s….. Of course, there are many other entrees to experience with many visits to Nick’s. Of course, Nick’s Lobster House is known for what else….LOBSTERS. You can have them anyway you wish. They are priced by Market Price. BTW…… If you wish, Nick’s also has a Fish Market display if you would like to take home fresh fish. If there is room, you can have a Hot Drink and view the selections of desserts. Please give Nick’s a try and you will know why many return time after time to enjoy their meals. During nice weather they a very large outdoor deck to enjoy your meals in you wish not to dine inside. Enjoying Nick’s for the last 6 years we will be returning for more great food. Chef Andre is very proud of his food and his staff that serves you. One thing I must share is, the food will take time to be cooked since it is being made to your order fresh. So enjoy a drink and the scenery to past the time. Bon Appetite!

Went to buy lobsters from the market and they were so overpriced it wasn't funny. They wanted $20 a pound!! They wanted $70 for a 3 pound lobster.

Nick's has continued their changes inside and out. BIGGER parking lot,... thank GOD!! More seating They've rearranged the fish market section However, with bigger comes more problems. They need more staff to accommodate the higher influx of diners. We loved the computer pad menus. Busy, busy, busy on Saturdays though.

WE were there today Oct 14 for dinner and the food was very and the staff was very attentive and friendly.Great place to take your family.

We went with family to celebrate three birthdays occuring within one week. There were several pros and at least an equal number of concerns.. Pros Parking was easy We were seated immeadiately in a room with a water view. My lobster was tasty and cooked well They allowed us to bring our own cake which they served for us. Now the cons.. The calamari had the texture of rubber. Also the lefts overs were never cleared from the table. We asked for additional rolls which never came. I felt that the server could have been more attentive, rather than her counting on the runners. I also resented being bothered by a young photographer trying to take our pictures. This is restaurant not a cruise ship. My son in law found some dirt in his drinking glass. At their prices would not go back. .

I love going to Nick's on Tuesday for their 2 for one special. The lobster is well prepared. The service is great. The price is right. The on water setting indoor & out is lovely.
Nice
I had stuffed filet of sole with steamed vegetables on the side with a beer chaser(pix). The veggies were so much, i had the remainder for lunch the following day. The view is nice located in a quiet nook of the basin inlet as my pic shows. Our waiter, Ricardo(get him), was quite pleasant and attentive. Plenty of parking and rumors have it that they will be opening a beer bar soon on the south side of their property near the outdoor seating area. My only negative comment is we were there on a Saturday afternoon, while we didnt have a reservation, we could clearly see that BOTH inside and outside areas were not even half full, yet we had to wait 20mins to be seated. We certainly would have left if we had been in a hurry with a very stern chat with the manager. Not good!!
