Loved this restaraunt. My husband and I went with another couple and had one of the best experiences ever! Since we'd already had dinner at another establishment, we came here for appetizers and dessert. First off, the view from every window is breathtaking. The food was amazing. Kuddos to Chef Daniel, who came out to check on us. He's a keeper. Had raw oysters served with a strawberry topping. I would have never thought those two would go together, but it was outstanding. Also had the souffle and a very tasty martini. Our waiter, Vassil, was attentive, and knowledgeable about the restaurant and it's history. He was professional, caring, and took pride in his work. I enjoyed having him as a waiter. My husband and I plan to re-visit this estabisment for a full meal. It would be our pleasure!

Amazing experience at Nikolai’s roof. Excellent service from Cindy our waitress. She was Very helpful with the selections. Didn’t hover and we were never rushed as you feel in other restaurants. It was a dining experience. We had the 4 course dinning. The scallops were buttery goodness paired with some of the best collard greens i have ever eaten. My beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection. The fresh bread. My husband had the lamb and he raved over how good it was. Wonderful experience wonderful service and food that was flavorful, cooked to perfection and plated very very nice.

We had a lovely dinner, with excellent wine, food and cheese options. The view is spectacular and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Our server Manuela was both friendly and knowledgeable. We both enjoyed the red snapper and baby arugula salad. The Austrian cheese was absolutely divine! This is the perfect spot for a romantic evening- the quietness of a small restaurant without sacrificing quality. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing spot with the stunning view of overlooking the city while dinning! Cindy made our experience even more enjoyable and memorable—she was terrific! That said, we will be back!

Best view of the city. Exquisite food and great service. Meet the chef and we had a pleasant conversation about her cuisine.

My husband and I have been eating at Nikolai's for 30 years, and have never had anything but a wonderful meal. We ate there this past weekend, and once again, the meal was perfect in every way. Vassil, our server, made the experience all the better. We were served with expertise. We got the four course meal, but there were other wonderful surprises along the way. The bread was as good as I have ever had. Each course was its own experience. The scallops melt in your mouth; the beef tenderloin was seasoned just right; the soufflé was creamy and light; but the piroshki, as always, wins the prize for the world's best first course. We have eaten in many fine restaurants across the country, but Nikolai's Roof is our favorite. The entire experience leaves absolutely nothing to be desired.

I chose to celebrate my partner's birthday here with a group of our closest friends over the weekend and I do not believe any of us will be going back. From previously having worked at a AAA 4 Diamond Award winning restaurant, I will say that Nikolais Roof was not worthy of any such award Saturday evening. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. We were all very excited to check this place out and enjoy a birthday celebration. Things started off slow as we waited around 10 minutes to order a couple bottles of prosecco. We didn't mind as were still waiting for the last couple of guests to arrive. We had two servers for our party, but they seemed to both be a little pre-occupied elsewhere as we did not see them during much of the 4 hours we spent there. We had to ask for water refills a few different times and we only had the chance to order one cocktail for dinner. When the food arrived, there were a couple of temperature flaws and an order correction. All were taken care of except for one of our guests that complained about her steak being a little overdone and not so tender. The server took the steak into the kitchen and then brought it back to the table and told our guest that it was just the lighting in the dining room and that when he took it into the kitchen, he was able to see that it was "cooked correctly" and left her to eat the steak anyway. Very disappointing. The food for most of the group was outstanding. Dessert came and none of our guests were offered any coffee or asked if anything else was needed. One of our guests was able to flag down a server to order a port eventually. When it was time for the bill, one of the servers came out and asked if the check would be on one or separate. I asked if he could just divide it into a few separate checks as a few of us could pay together. He actually groaned and stated it would be more work, but they could do it. From that point to when we actually received out bills, 45 minutes had passed! One of our guests is a diamond-level Hilton Honors member and went to find a manager so we could get our bills. Even after being alerted to issues with our table, the manager NEVER came to the table during our 4 hour visit. After our guest spoke to the manager, he never even came back out from behind the server Isle. I paid for three of our guests and when my receipts were given back to me after my payment was processed, I notice the charge was now over $400 and another guests meal was charged to my card. Didn't want to spend another 30 minutes for bill processing so I didn't say anything. One of our guests was charged for an extra glass of wine and that took another 20 minutes before the manager stated he couldn't figure out how to remove it from the bill and just let us leave. The entire process with our bills took an hour and a half and just completely ruined the whole rest of the night. This was our first time dining here and it ended up turning into one of the worst experiences any of us have had. The manager offered our one guest a "sorry" and that was it. I am hugely disappointed with how we were treated and the extremely poor level of service we received for this special occasion. Shame on the manager especially for not working to make anything right or even stopping by the table to say hello or wish my partner a happy birthday.

White table cloth fine dining lives on, with an amazing view. My wife and I did a four course menu. We both started with the Braised Beef Tenderloin Piroshki, which were a delightful start. For our next course Franny has the Red Beet & Beef Borscht Consommé. I had no idea Russian peasants got to eat so well. I had the Seared Lamb Belly, which was good, but not as outstanding as the borscht. Our main were the the Beef Tenderloin and the Herb Crusted Lamb Chops. Bother we amazing. The beef was perfect prepared and could almost be pulled apart by a fork. The lamb chop was the best I have ever had. Perfect cooked. I had creamed corn quinoa which was so good as to be work noting is this long list of excellent dished. For dessert I had the Orange Crème Brûlée which was fantastic. The custard had a strong orange flavor, lurking under the required hard sugar shell. Franny had the Chocolate Souffle. She is still in recovery from her transcendental chocolate experience.

We had Vassil as a waiter. He was excellent. In addition to the excellent food and atmosphere, our waiter made the dinner a night to remember.

What a pleasant surprise, the place is beautiful with the most gorgeous views of the city. Our server was excellent and suggested the most amazing menu choices. My friends and I will be back again hopefully soon! Scallops are the best in the world by the way! Overall just another great place in our beautiful city :)

While at a conference my wife and I tried numerous restaurants connected to the Marriott Marquis by the skybridge network. Nikolai’s is at the top of the Hilton and we never had to go outside to get there. The restaurant is not only upscale but small which is nice for a change. Dinner choices are limited but apparently change on a regular basis. You have several choices to choose from in five categories. At the beginning you decide if you want a 3, 4, or 5 course meal. We chose the three course with two appetizers and an entree. My wife ordered the baby arugula salad, cured salmon belly and the red snapper. Had the lump crab cake, scallop, and beef tenderloin. The appetizers were exceptional. Very savory and well plated. My wife described the salmon as “different” and could not ascertain if it was pickled or what. The entrees were flavorful but each had its own issue. The red snapper was done well but it was served over a bed of quinoa that was cold and the tomato was ice cold. Maybe it was supposed to be but the hot hot and cold combo was off putting. My tenderloin was very tasty, seasoned superbly, and tender as well. The issue with it was I always order beef medium rare and this came to the table medium to medium well. The service was exceptional. Our waiter Tyler was very attentive but not intrusive. If we are ever in Atlanta again we would return to Nikolai’s. Everyone can have an off night.

We were seated promptly and professionally, with a careful explanation of the menu. Our ordered wine came back as unavailable and our next choice, a common Moët champagne, nearly so, being told we received the last bottle. The meal itself was well presented and was delicious. Overall, a good experience with our only surprise being the lack of even a minimum dress code for an upscale restaurant. Shorts, t-shirts and tank tops prevailed. We’re not expecting tuxedos and ball gowns, but pants would be nice.

Incredible atmosphere, food, and service. Vassil was incredible and so was the chef Stephanie’s food. I fully recommend for one of the finer French restaurants in town.

Absolutely amazing meal with my daughter. Foie gras was incredible and cooked perfectly. This chef and kitchen of only 3 people produced an experience that would only be described as toe curling. We could tell that each course was carefully thought out and executed. Management was also warm and engaging. We will never forget this amazing execution of culinary expertise!

I had drinks/food at the Lounge twice during a recent business trip, and I'm so glad I did! The bar and lounge area is very nice and has a great view. There is a limited menu but the Wagu Burger was absolutely amazing and so was an orange souffle I had for dessert. If you like old fashioneds, do NOT miss the smoked old fashioned at this bar. It's done the right way! Tranette is a wonderful bartender and for the two nights I was there, I ended up in great conversations with other travelers. I cannot speak to the regular restaurant, but if you want a great drink and elevated bar menu, I highly recommend this place!

A special thank to Cindy and GM Martelle Lorenz for the extraordinary hospitality. The dishes and drinks were definitively delicious. Will be returning!

Two of us made dinner reservations to celebrate a new job offer. We were seated at a very small round table near the window (which is the visual attraction of the restaurant). The view was blocked by a curtain that we were told could not be adjusted. The table was near the kitchen entrance and exit and the comings/goings of the wait staff were a major distraction. When we requested to be seated at the next table (which was vacant), we were told it had been reserved for a party of 4. You can imagine our surprise when a couple was seated there after quite a period of time had passed. The menu is a tasting menu---you choose 3, 4, or 5 selections from the menu. The brussel sprouts salad was shaved, raw brussel sprouts with a tangy dressing. Just fair. The fish arrived with what looked like a smear of tomato paste on top---it was supposed to be some sort of sundried tomato sauce. Just ok. Server seemed very unsure of menu and did not make good wine recommendations. Server also took our coat check ticket and never returned to the table. We were left to go to the hostess stand and wave down someone (who happened to be our server) to ask about our coats. She said that she wondered why she had a coat claim ticket and seemed to not know where the coats were kept. The poor service and lackluster food were a disappointment for a meal we expected to be quite good. Would not return here.

We went here with high expectations and left feeling disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is excellent. The host is very warm and inviting. Our server was attentive, friendly and kind. The views from our table were amazing. We wanted to see the sun set and we did. Now the food. Everything was just average. Nothing was bad, but nothing was so great I would spend that kind of money on it again. A four star restaurant should be spectacular! And the portion size is so small we both left hungry. This was a four course meal and after we were both not full, but our wallets were empty.

Wait staff and atmosphere are excellent. But the food is somewhat pricey. It’s excellent food — but I’ve spent significantly less for food that was just as good.

We had the four course dinner. The peroshki and crab cake appetizers were full of creative combinations of meat and fruit flavors. The tenderloin was tender and cooked to perfection. Several little surprises between courses. Servers are all exceptional. This is my new favorite place for special occasions.

Restaurant is on top floor of the Hilton hotel. The name of the restaurant evoked expectations of a beautiful Russian restaurant. The ambience is very sleek and modern. Could be any modern restaurant. The food was good but nothing extraordinary. The Ritz-Carlton dining experience is a notch or two up. Service was professional. We were three persons and spent almost $300.00 (with no bottle of wine and one non drinker). Atlanta has many great restaurants. This one is alright.

Great food / Great Service / Great View. I would recommend coming here. They did a really good job. Compliments to the Chef and the wait staff. I’m not sure what else to say but I am required to write at least 100 characters in order to be able to complete this review so here is to the completion there of. Thx again.

We were in town for a convention and was told about Nikolai’s Roof restaurant. So glad we were told about this place...The food was amazing! My dinner was great. Thoroughly enjoyed it. And the service was outstanding. Scott was our server and he did an excellent job. Needless to say we were glad we came here for dinner. It was a good choice.

Not a first time. Food is always excellent. Service by Manuela is great. Definitely will go again.

Decades ago, they catered only to hotel clients and treated locals in Atlanta like trash and it took 8 months to get a reservation. Now, they want locals to suddenly visit their restaurant. I wouldn’t go there now even if it was free. We won’t forget!

I had been wanting to dine at Nikolai’s Roof for quite some time and finally did. I selected the 4-course pre-fixe dinner. Every morsel was delectable. My server, Cindy, was excellent, appearing at the right times and meticulously describing each course as she delivered it. Nikolai’s Roof is a perfect spot to feast on high-quality fare while looking out over Atlanta.

I love my service especially with tranette bartender, she was good and had nice time talking to her and her politely Ness she was good and done good keep us at a moment of laughing she very politely

Have enjoyed a meal here once each June since 2023. Each bite magically elevated to perfection by chef Stephanie, and served with impeccable timing by Vassily, a true master of his craft. Well worth the trek off the beaten path!

Our server Manuela was the sweetest, the food was fantastic! Everything was perfect 💓 definitely coming back!

Normally I am skeptical of in-hotel restaurants, but this one was highly rated by TripAdvisor so I took a chance. It was an amazing experience. The meal, ambiance, and overall experience were exceptional. Ask for Vassil to be your server.

Went at this wonderful rooftop establishment for my anniversary. Our server Vassil was highly informative of the dishes and the menu. He was also highly attentive and made the experience wonderful. Each prefixed menu item my girlfriend and I ordered were phenomenal, and we will definitely come back.

This was the last night of a week vacation for my sister and I to stay in Atlanta. I had searched and found that Nikolai’s roof had excellent reviews and an interesting menu. We took a $25 uber from our hotel for 715 reservations. When we got there a woman came to our table told us she would be our server and asked if we had any questions about the menu and left. No one came to our table for 30 minutes. It was frustrating as we watched all the other patrons were being attended to and receiving their meals. I finally got the attention of another server and asked to order cocktails. She took our order. 15 minutes later we still did not have our cocktails or place our order. I flagged down someone again and asked about our cocktails, she came back and told us she had spoken to the bartender who said they were working on it. She said she didn’t understand why it was taking so long and left. Our reservations were for 7:15 and we did not receive our cocktails until 8:15, and that was after asking three times. We placed our order for price fix dinner of four courses. Our courses were delivered by other staff, our server did not check on us at all. When we were due the 3rd course they brought out our dessert instead of the cheese course. The server seemed very flustered and never returned. I was upset with the lack of attention at what was supposed to be such a high end restaurant. I asked to speak to the manager who was very apologetic. She reduced our bill for the poor experience we had.

We had a lovely celebration with a delcious 4-course meal. Amazing view and Vassil ensured everything was perfect. From his fluent descriptions of Russian, French and other cuisines we ordered, wine pairing suggestions, helping us celebrate with a sweet finish and more it was an evening where everything was just as it ought to be with delightful touches to make it even better.

A group of us ate dinner here while attending a conference. The restaurant is beautiful with a great view. Cocktails, wines and food were delicious. The service was excellent. It is well worth the cost for a special occasion.

The ambience and view were fantastic! Laizo the waitress was very welcoming and sweet! We enjoyed the wine and our meals were timely!

My boyfriend and I were visiting from Dallas; we stumbled upon this jewel from Trip Advisor and had a jewel of a bartender/server Jacey! She is AMAZING, so is this place, and so is the food! We'll definitely be back.

Wonderful service with great views and food, pleasantly surprised as we had not heard of this place before. Expensive but felt worth it.

Our 32 years Wedding Anniversary. Last time I was here was in 1983 for my High School Prom. The decor is totally different now, but still beautiful. Wonderful views of the city. The meals were delicious. And our server, Vassil, was delightful. He made the evening very special! Thank you, Vassil.

Fantastic view, fabulous service from Contessa! I would sacrifice my mother for another Creme brûlée! Only negative; the beef tartare was not just disliked, but I would call unpalatable… two tastes from each person and we threw it out.

The service was superb, the ambience was nothing short of perfect. The staff displayed both professionalism and hospitality. I would a full 10 points for this experience.

I had an amazing time at Nikolai’s Roof‼️ Tranette the mixologist had a Great personality with TOP-Notch Service, she made me and my buddy some exquisite drinks that were the best… I will return sometime in the near future

Our first visit to Nikolai’s Roof will certainly not be our last one! Located at the top of the Hilton, make sure you locate the elevators marked for the restaurant to get there quickest. This is an amazing fusion restaurant that seems deeply rooted in Russian influence but with a modern French twist. Choose from 3-5 courses. We chose 4 and none of them disappointed! In fact, if you decide on the cheese course, but ready for a unique experience! The scallops could not have been more divine-best I’ve ever had. Even the brussel sprout appetizer had amazing depth of flavor. Seriously wanted to lick the plate. And the Godiva chocolate soufflé? Oh my gosh, save room, friend!!! Our server, Manuela, was amazing as she guided our experience without ever being pushy or negligent. She is a top notch server in an amazing restaurant. We look forward to our next visit already.

Excellent in ALL these ways: downtown location, valet parking, city views, food, drinks, decor, atmosphere and Service. Vassil has been our server for the last two visits and he is outstanding! Kudos to Vassil and the Hilton Management and staff. Nikolai’s Roof is where we go in Atlanta to celebrate very special occasions. See photos once posted to see visual evidence of the excellence !

Excellent service and food and they do a great job with taking care of the fine details. This restaurant has been awesome throughout the years!

The breakfast was excellent in quality and variety. The view from this floor is amazing. Courteous and professional staff.

Hosted a work dinner and every diner really enjoyed their food. Each of us ordered a three course meal which was timed very well and the service from Manuela was fantastic!

Tranette was fantastic! Friendly and helpful with great recommendations. Which leads me to…. 🤤 the meal…. In a word, brilliant. I think I’ll be coming back by again :)

We had the 5 course menu. It’s worth the money and our waiter Vassil, was great. Many thanks to Daniel and Chef Stefanie for a great birthday

Perfect evening after a long drive. Nice atmosphere and excellent service by Vassil. Prix fixe menu with interesting choices.

The food and service were amazing. Truly one of the best restaurants i have ever been too. Vassir was a wonderful waiter. His attention and attitude were amazing.

Superior Dining Experience with French Inspired Tasty Menu, Good Service in an Attractive Room Atop the Downtown Atlanta Hilton Atlanta is America’s new Michelin club city. Great restaurants abound. Talented chefs from around the world enjoy doing tours here. Nikolai’s Roof is an Atlanta classic that probably belongs in the club. After boarding the glass elevator to the top floor with dazzling views of the city one steps into a very elegant art deco room. One can choose the 3 or 4 course option ($89 or $100) and selects among a variety of options for each course. We enjoyed the: “Starters” - winter soup (pumpkin carrot bisque with ciabatta slice adorned by pear paste). Extraordinary. - Sweet potato and lump crab with granola. Transcendent. “Entrees” - filet mignon with cannoli of kale. Phenomenal. - Scallops (3 large) on Parmesan risotto and grilled cauliflower. Superb. “Dessert or Cheese” - dark chocolate sorbet (mousse actually) with ground Oreo cook crumb-like garnish. Heavenly. - Ricotta cheese on walnut and cranberry. Breathtaking. “Cocktails” - Anastasia (vodka and elderflower, lemon and Prosecco). Magnificent. - Riviera martini. Excellent. - Hot revolver smoky old fashioned. Very good. It is a fun room. Could benefit from soft jazz. Younger assistant server will grow with training. She was friendly but twice reached across our plates to remove an item or pour water. We waited to meet the chef but she had a large party and wasn’t able to come out. We will go back soon. This kind of magic deserves the respect of enjoying the entire menu.

I received excellent service from Contessa at this ultra-classy Atlanta restaurant! The view is truly the best in the city!

Last night's dinner at Nikolai's Roof in downtown Atlanta was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to a flawless dining experience. Our server, Vasil, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, sharing insights into the menu, the city, and the restaurant's rich 40-year history. The three-course meal was absolutely delicious, and we were even fortunate enough to meet the executive sous chef and restaurant director. The entire staff was welcoming and professional, making for a perfect evening.

I arrived early and decided to wait in the lounge until the rest of my party arrived. The Bartender Tranette was fabulous. She made me realize I chose a great place to celebrate my daughter's birthday.

This does not happen very often-while I always try to choose a hotel that has great food and a good fitness centre/gym, there was no attention paid to this in this instance. I simply decided out of curiosity, I would go up to the top floor of the Hilton Atlanta Downtown’s to have a meal and be in bed as soon as possible to deal with jet-lag....the view was definitely stunning, but the food was even better. The chef, with flexibility in catering for wheat and gluten intolerance, was probably only matched by Manuela the waitress in excellent service - definitely recommended. I had a 4 course meal...while one can also do a 5 course version. The cocktails are also to die for!!

My husband and I really had one of the best dates. We went to celebrate our anniversary and everything was excellent and top-notch. From the excellent treatment of the employees, our waiter Vassil was impeccable and so attentive and helpful🙏 and if we talk about the food it was exceptional! Everything was perfect. Thank you Nikolais Roof and all his team for such excellent service. Highly recommended

I visited Nikolais for a business dinner and a was wonderfully suprise with the food and service. I chose the 4 course meal option and each of the dishes was More magical than the other specifically the wild boar ragu, a decadent dish that was done right, one of the most memorable dishes I have had in my life. Great views and attentive service! Highly recommend to visit.

Laizo was absolutely amazing. She made the experience 1000x better. Couldn’t have asked for a better waitress. The ambiance was also very nice and relaxing. The view was beautiful as well. Food was ok.. :)

Fantastic! I can't say enough great things about Nikolai's Roof! From the ambiance, to the food all the way up to excellent service from Stan! Definitely one of the best dining experiences I've been a part of! My wife and I enjoyed our 4 course meals which were highlighted by the Lamb Belly appetizer and our Lamb Chops.

We were visiting Atlanta for this year’s anniversary and decided we would treat ourselves this time to a nice dinner that also has a view and settled on the roof top. It was absolutely spectacular and exceeded all expectations. We chose the three course meal and were served by Vassil. He was incredible, kind, informative, and made the night wonderful! We were also given an additional sweet at the end of our meal courtesy of the chef for our anniversary celebration. This is a must dinner if you enjoy a quiet evening of wonderful food with a breath taking city view. Additionally, we recommend the duck as your entree.

Partner and I made reservations for Fri night dinner. 530 seating time was quiet with a beautiful easterly view of the city. Manuela made our experience fun with her quick wit and excellent service. It’s worth doing all 4 courses to experience the chef’s range of flavors and techniques. Don’t skip dessert it’s fabulous. All our courses were perfectly cooked and timed. Would recommend and definitely come back for early seating. As restaurant filled, it got very loud and was hard to have conversation.

This spot is great for a romantic dinner and the view is amazing, it is a little pricey but the service and the food were good. We were in there with my wife and my daughter.

I've never been to a fine dining restaurant, so this is my first one. The view is pretty, especially at nighttime, and the food... omg I love the food! The seared scallops was the best! My server was Fannar (or Faunar?) and he took great care of me when I told him it's my first time in a place like this. He even offered to take my picture which was nice of him. If I'm ever in Atlanta again, I'll definitely come back.

The dining experience at Nikolai's is delightful! Excellent food and wonderful service. Scott was very attentive and professional.

Great view, Delicious food, Excellent service, and Amazing friends. We didn’t know about the place but walk-in and a beautiful time.

My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here. First of all the view is absolutely beautiful. It is a very romantic setting. The food was exquisite, from the appetizers and soup to the entrees and dessert. We are incredible food snobs; who don't grade on a curve. We've eaten in restaurants all over the world. This was fine dining at its best. The food was superb, the service was equally impressive. Our server was Vassil. Quite frankly he is the best host we've ever had. As much as I will visit the restaurant again because of its food, I'll also do so to be serviced by Vassil. He was a real pro. In addition to offering pleasant, patient service, he shared Nikolai's history (which is quite interesting). As for the cherry on the top, the wine, we had two exceptional glasses of wine, which is unusual for restaurants that serve wine by the glass. They usually serve mediocre by the glass selections. Not so here. We then had a bottle of Montrachet that was excellent (although we should have decanted it a bit). The only drawback of the restaurant, which is not significant, is that if there is a loud group at the bar, you can hear the noise, which takes a way from the ambiance. Other than that, this is on of my favorite restaurants.

Contessa was amazing! Patient, helpful and extremely sweet. The view of the city was awesome. Would definitely be back.

Beautiful restaurant! Food and service were lovely. The staff made me feel so special for my birthday. Atmosphere and views were amazing!

My family and I have been coming here pretty much since the day it opened in the late 70s. We have eaten here frequently and it is always been an exceptional dining experience. Many years ago they changed their business model to provide fine dining at a lower cost and in my opinion it has been highly successful. The food continues to be exceptionally well prepared at a reasonable price and the service is personal and professional. The wine list is one deficit they do not have that great a selection of wine but what they do have is very good and the prices are some of the best you will find in a fine dining establishment. It needs to be said that we went here for dinner for my daughter's birthday after my wife and I just returned from France where we had multiple dinners at two and three star Michelin restaurants and I can unequivocally state that Nikolai's Roof in Atlanta meets the standards of two and three star Michelin restaurants in Europe. Do yourself a favor it's a great experience to 9dine here.

Laizo did a wonderful job. She made our anniversary dinner very special. Food was fantastic. 5 stars!! Definitely will be back.

I don’t know where these guys solicit their stellar reviews, but the food is very very mediocre and the interior is dated. And I am a Russian guy that spends considerable time in Paris, and I can say that their cuisine has nothing to do with Russia or France. Soviet Union? Maybe, all restaurants were bad in USSR.

Absolutely amazing food, experience, views and Manuela was top notch with service. We will definitely be back next time we are in n Atlanta.

One of the best foods we’ve had in a long time. Our server Vassil was super educated in all the meals and was super helpful navigating us through each course especially with allergies

My husband and I were reprising a memorable anniversary we had at this restaurant 40 years ago. We were not disappointed. Of course, Nickolai’s Roof has been updated but the outstanding food, service and overall dining experience is still there. First class all the way!

This was one of our best meals in a long time. The food and service was perfect. While it is expensive, it was worth it.

Great views and outstanding service make for a very nice anniversary celebration dinner. The Arugula salad, shaved Brussel Sprouts and Beef Tenderloin were all excellent and prepared just right. The Chocolate Souffle with fresh whipped cream was a perfect ending to a great meal. The only minor downside was that they were experiencing problems with their HVAC system and were using a portable unit - it was a little warm while we were there but not uncomfortable!

The experience was excellent. The food was awesome - great favors and uncommon selections. The view and ambiance were wonderful. The service was superb and go along with the rest of the evening!

What a wonderful, classy, and incredibly delectable restaurant. Everything about this restaurant is so tasteful and sophisticated. Absolutely loved our server Vassil, who is a staple of the restaurant. I also have to tip my hat to the new bread and water person who always had a wonderful smile on his face. Thank you Vassil for making this a wonderful evening and dining experience

The food was delicious and our waiter, Vassil, was fantastic! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Exquisite dining! Our waiter Vassil, in addition to the other staff, was phenomenal. He truly added to the exceptional dining experience. The piroshki was excellent, as well as the salmon belly which I ordered seasoned and uncooked. beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked, medium rare with only mild charring on the outside . It was beautifully garnished with foie gras butter. the Godiva chocolate truffle was a perfect end to such an amazing meal. highly highly recommended . Even though it was a very rainy evening, the view was still beautiful.

Still great 30 years from the first time we ate here. Pirozhki was delicious. Peach vodka was tasty. Halibut and beef tenderloin were delicious. Chocolate soufflé was disappointing. But overall a great meal.

Wonderful experience with this restaurant, nice and classy and best server Vassil he is so wonderful, friendly and helpful.. love this place, me and my husband will back again for sure.

My partner surprised me for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and took me to Nikolai's roof to celebrate with friends. It was not the experience we were expecting the first time around, but we were able to go back to recreate the experience just the two of us. I must say, Daniel and Vasil, made the experience incredible. From start to finish, our dinner experience was excellent! The view of the city was beautiful and the food was outstanding. As a starter, my partner had the scallops and those were wonderful. The outside was lightly golden and tender on the inside. I had the escargot and that was divine. The flavors were delightful and it was a perfect portion size. For the entrees, he had the tenderloin which was accompanied by delicious and lightly crisp brussel sprouts. I had the lamb and it was scrumptious! The mustard seed glace was a perfect rub for the lamb. Daniel suggested a wonderful Pinot Noir that complimented both of our meals that we very much enjoyed. For dessert, he had the chocolate symphony bar that had a beautiful mirror glaze and the sorbet was so refreshing! I had the orange creme brulee. It had the perfect amount of zest and the texture was smooth and light. We finished with a wonderful cappuccino and an espresso. My partner loved the cappuccino! The attention to detail was spot on! It was one of the many reasons we wanted to go in the first place. Details matter and let me say this, our experience was that much better because of the attention to detail and making everything so seamless. Thank you to Daniel and our wonderful server, Vasil. Bravo!! We shall be back again!

The bartender jacey is awesome! If your in the area you have to check her out! I’ve been to 4 bars tonight and she was the best by far

Tonight is one of the most disappointing experiences I have had in fine dining in Atlanta in 48 years. I went to this restaurant over 50 times over the last 45 years but the dinner we had tonight was a far cry from its 5 Diamond past. First the service was incredibly slow. We arrived at 6:40 PM and finally received our appetizer at 8:15 PM. It was this way all night and they never could seem to deliver the right dish to the right person. Next, the food was not only short on the amount served but the flavor and temperature it was served. They used to serve (3) piroshki’s per order and now it’s (2). The plate they serve it on actually has a place for (3) but now they fill one of them with Bernaise sauce instead of serving it on the side. Next, the Lamb Chops were overcooked and cold. Lastly, the Grand Marnier souflee had no Grand Marnier sauce. Instead it was some type of orange whip that was so bad I tried to take it off where they put it on my souflee. Lastly, if you include the gratuity in the bill please say something instead of listing suggestion percentages to tip. If there was one bright spot it was the gentleman filling glasses with water, who also brought bread and butter. As far as its rating on Trip Advisor - it might be in the top 500 restaurants in Atlanta but certainly not #5.

Vasilly did a great job taking care of us at this very interesting Old World restaurant with overtones of French and Russian cuisine. We were here celebrating our anniversary and going to see The Rolling Stones tomorrow night.

The best Magret I ever had. Better than Paris. Vassil, the waiter knows very well the art of servicing. He made me feel at home. Great experience.

Manuela is so friendly and lovely to talk with. Always good food and atmosphere. Great place to celebrate.

We had the Hilton Diamond breakfast at Nikolai’s. Very nice staff. Food was good. Getting there via the elevators is strange.... go to the 27th floor...change elevator to go to the 28th floor.

Contessa is a phenomenal bartender. She delivered recommendations and has been extremely polite and kind. The view is beautiful from the restaurant and they have a wide selection of wines and cocktails. I highly recommend!

Nice Date night hidden Ghem in Downtown Atlanta!.. Nice laid-back Grown up Vibe. Beef tenderloin is was very well prepared.

We had the price fix dinner for 3. Everything was very good, our waitress was excellent! We all share the cheese plate (up charge) which was well worth it! Views were great. Would definitely recvonend- ask for Laizo xoxo

Traniette Bartender was an amazing waitress. She informed us on the best dish to eat. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner for our first night in Atlanta, Georgia. Amazing. Will definitely return before we leave. They gave us a beautiful birthday dessert for my son 16th bday! Very nice touch.

Looking for a unique dinner and we found it. Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food. Our server Cindy was great. We will be back.

First off, Manuela was amazing and attentive. The food was outstanding as well! We will be back for sure :)

Visited Nikolai’s Roof with friends. The food was exquisite and the the service even better. The cocktail menu was old classics with elegant twists and delicious. Our server was Laizo, she described every dish and helped to choose among them.

I had breakfast here and the views were amazing. It's on top of the Hilton and has one of the best views of the city. I plan next trip to make sure I'm here for Dinner....

Fine Dining with a great view! Service was exceptional. Wine list was perfectly paired with the courses.

Manuela was amazing! Very attentive and personable. The food was out of those world especially that lasagna and duck! If we are ever in the area again this would be our first stop!

Our Nikolai's Roof experience was amazing! The service and staff was excellent, including the view of ATL. The beef piroshki, diver scallops, lamb chops and seared grouper were all delicious!!! For dessert the panna cotta tasted great, however I did not like the souffle as much. In all, a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion!

Very nice restaurant with 360 degree views of the city. The food was amazing! We will definitely be back.

Amazing food, great views of the city, awesome environment. 10/10 definitely recommend. Our server was Cindy and she was spectacular as well.

We celebrated a birthday here for dinner and anything was perfect. The service and ambience were great. Laizo was our waitress and she was very friendly and suggested delicious menu options.

Great spot to watch July 4th fireworks. Our waiter, Vassill was amazing and gave great suggestions for an amazing dining experience!

Excellent food & service. We appreciate the surprise birthday cake and between courses ‘extras’. Loved the bread!

During my visit at Nikolais Contessa was the absolute best bartender she catered to our every need and made sure she met all of the customers expectations!!!

We were staying at Hilton and decided to try Nikolai’s roof. And I am glad we did! The service and food were outstanding! We went with 3 course dinner. For appetizer we had pirozhki and crab cake. Both were delicious!!! For entries we ordered lamb chops and beef tenderloin. Both were outstanding! To finish we had toasted marshmallow creme brûlée ( it was good) and Godiva chocolate soufflé- OMG it was soo good! If we happen to be in Atlanta again, we will definitely stop by again!

2 couples celebrating a 50th anniversary and a birthday had an excellent dinner at the Roof. The view was spectacular, the appetizers (especially the scallops were fantastic) and the main dish of beef for 3 of us and lamb chops for my wife were cooked perfectly. We asked for, horse radish which the restaurant did not have, so,the chef went downstairs to a,different restaurant to find some for us. But the best part was The server Cindy, who made sure we wanted for nothing the whole evening. The only drawback to the evening, aside from remembering this is an expensive restaurant, was the valet parking wait after dinner, excessive to say the least.

Great food and views of the city. Foie Gras was delicious and they graciously accommodated my food allergy. Very good food.

The atmosphere was amazing it was a very enjoyable night. The night was made enjoyable by the waitress Morgan she was everything and beyond. Morgan explained everything in the meal and was not afraid nor hesitant to answer any questions we had. Also the food was amazing, I liked that they had berry sorbet before the entrée so we could taste all of the flavors. The berry sorbet was also really light and refreshing which is what I enjoyed the most about it.

Mr Scott Scott was our waiter very friendly individual and he was on top of his game with us. Super professional with us and others seated around us. Great service and terrific unique food. Very good meals. But keep in mind, the food is different unless you are eating up scaled meals everyday and used to that type menu. Nikolias is very Unique and good. If you want something different and want a great waiter, this is the place to go. Romantic as well.

This is a special restaurant that has overlooked the City of Atlanta for years and years. It has thrived because of its dedication to exquisite cuisine and unparalleled service. Our dining experience did not disappoint. We dined with a friend who used to celebrate special anniversaries with her husband. He passed away a few years ago and we wanted to take her someplace that brought back fond memories. I say this because we really wanted everything to be perfect, and it was. The crab cake appetizer and lamb chops I had for dinner were delicious and cooked to perfection. The waiter was attentive and prompt, and even expressed concern that my martini might not have been exactly to my specification (it was). The point is that this quiet, relaxing setting for a restaurant is matched with professional staff who will ensure that the meal is one to be remembered.

Food and service was outstanding!! Beautiful view! Thank you for taking great care of us. The chef came out to check how the dinner was :)

The atmosphere was lovely, very romantic and beautiful with great evening views of the city. Service was exceptional. However, the food was not 5 star as expected. We had 9 courses between the two of us and half of then weren't good at all. Some were okay and the scallops were fabulous. I've been to many more fine dining restaurants than I've reviewed and I know good food. Please have some professionals evaluate your menu and readjust some of the ingredients and cooking techniques.

This is the place my wife and I always end up when we visit this Hilton hotel. The view is fabulous and the drinks and food are great! We love it up here.

My boyfriend and I visited Nikolai's Roof for the first time this weekend for our date night. To say our expectations were far exceeded would be an understatement. Not only did we have the best table in the house with a great view of the skyline, but our server, Vassil, was nothing short of impeccable, and our food was absolutely phenomenal. The foie gras was to die for, and I cannot even describe how unbelievably delicious the braised boar was. We cannot wait to come back again!

Excellence at its best! From the ambiance to the impeccable service. Tranette was the best bartender I've ever had. Very knowledgeable, amazing drinks and a wonderful attitude and personality. I'll be returning.

My friend took me there for my birthday. I heard a lot of this place and wanted to see it for myself. So I did…. Well… the food was amazing - if you up to French cuisine. The service was exquisite - that s how any high class restaurant is suppose to perform. But the dining room…. How to put it mildly…. Imagine the Michelin-star food served at a high school cafeteria… the decor is soooo outdated, so cheap and dull….the windows are dirty and you can enjoy nice views through dirty streaks. Their bar is even more pathetic….i was disappointed, to say the least…

We were in Atlanta for business and had a pretty crazy day. We didn’t bring the clothing for the fancy side of this restaurant but they have a bar / lounge side with amazing views and great food. Not an entire menu, more like bar food with burgers. It is fancy bar food though. The ambience was a perfect place to have a cocktail and unwind. We split the wagu burger and homemade chips, highly recommend!

In the 1970's Nikolai's Roof was THE restaurant to go to for a gourmet experience. Fast forward 40 plus years and there are many restaurants that have come on the scene for high end dining. On our recent visit to Nikolai's the food was adequate but nothing special and the decor is definitely dated. We were also stuck in a table that was in a corner with almost no view at all. So, if you are at the Hilton and want a nice place to eat Nikolai's may fit the bill but for locals there are many more options to choose from for a gourmet high end meal.

This is definitely a bit of a romantic spot. Great views of the city and lovely sunsets. Decor a bit dated, but since I was staying in the hotel, it was a lovely respite from a very busy convention day. Food was good, but was a bit pricey for the product. Since it was just me, the several course dinner really wasn't what I wanted, but that is the way it is. So make sure you are with someone when you go. Definitely not a place for a single person.

I went there for my 16th birthday and the food was amazing! I had the caviar and the duck breast. My favorite part though was the scallop appetizer which was gorgeous. I highly recommend it.

I guess I was expecting a bit more grandor and excellence from the meal at Nikolai’s Roof than actually transpired last night. By all means, the restaurant was high end, seating was quite comfortable, tables were well separated to allow for private conversation, the dominating panoramic view from 30 floors up at the top of the Hilton gave an aura of royalty, and the distant sounds of tasteful jazz music added to a formal and classy environment. Service was prompt initially, although also a bit pushy. There was less counsel on dishes in the three, four, and five-course meals and best combining them and an appropriate wine than I would have liked. The servers were more like order takers and efficient food delivery agents than trusted partners, something that one typically receives in fine dining establishments. And I didn’t really appreciate having a flat 21% service charge added to the bill without giving me the opportunity to use my own discretion. If the restaurant really fears that someone able to pay its high prices would stiff the wait staff, it may be catering to the wrong clientele. What struck me as most disappointing was the actual food. Presentation was consistently elegant, but several dishes felt imposing, not elegant. I elected the full five-course experience, beginning with the baby arugula salad, mixed with buffalo mozzarella, roasted corn, peas, almonds, and charred green onion vinaigrette; followed by seared foie gras on veal sweetbreads, mango relish, and balsamic butter; then the two seared scallops, my favorite course of the night, on a bed of farro, mustard crème fraîche, mushrooms, and celery; finally, the ‘official’ main dish, an overcooked and relatively tasteless white fish on golden quinoa, english pea pesto, baby squash, fava beans, and berry beurre blanc. My desert was an admittedly stunning Godiva chocolate soufflé, with vanilla whipped cream and dark chocolate syrup on the side. Unfortunately, in almost every case, the food was overshadowed by a heavy obstruction - the salad, by the cheese that completely engulfed any taste of the greens; the foie gras, by separated chunks of liver and an occasional mouthful of salt as if someone had unevenly sprinkled it before serving; and even, to a certain extent, the scallops by the crème fraîche. I noticed as well that my colleagues’ pasta main course was also served in a heavy sauce, and theirs portions were far too big for the context. Nobody could finish, and there were complaints of inconsistent degrees of pasta texture - some al dente, some soft. It surprised us that the restaurant of this caliber wouldn’t focus more on a smaller quantity of hand-made pasta rather than a large plate of somewhat overpowering pasta that, we confirmed, was no longer made in house. Our wine was just okay. Personally I wasn’t blown away by the $100 Rhone -- somewhat of an anomaly -- and, again, would have preferred some recommendations. And while the soufflé was a beautiful sight to behold, it, too, felt like something out of place, better to have been shared by two. Similarly, the crème brûlée whiffed at its attempt to incorporate a toasted marshmallow taste rather than overlay the actual ingredients as the two guests next to me had hoped. All in all, the meal was certainly pleasant, but it wasn’t high on my list of fine dining culinary experiences. And since Cherry Wonderdog always attempts to evaluate them according to their appropriate category, Nikolai’s Roof receives three stars in the highly coveted Cherry Wonderdog rating scale.

When in Atlanta, Nikolai’s Rooftop Restaurant at the top of the renovated Hilton Hotel, is an Absolute MUST DO!! Food = Excellent, Atmosphere = Excellent, Memories = Forever! Thank you Scott !!

It was a very pleasant surprise to visit Nikolai’s Roof recently for the first time in many years. I quit going when they changed from their original Russian- themed decor and food. We went to celebrate 2 birthdays and the food, service, and views were exceptional. We had Vassil as our server and he made the evening so pleasant. The service timing was perfect. We were never rushed. His suggestions for wine were excellent. We had the best Godiva Chocolate souffles for dessert. I love soufflés and have ordered them all over the world. This was the best one I’ve ever had! We ordered the 4 course meal and everything we chose was so good. The views were so pretty and the ambience is relaxing and conducive to a conversation without having to yell (which it seems is the case, unfortunately, in so many Atlanta restaurants). We will definitely return as there are so few special occasion restaurants left in Atlanta. Most of the ones that used to be special have changed to a casual format. They all look the same and are loud and not special. So glad we tried Nikolai’s again after all these years.

The food menu was incredible. Such a variety and flavorful food. The topping was the service and Scott as our food guide was incredible. His mastery of the menu perfectly described a path through this wonderful experience. Such a pleasure and knowledgeable guide. Please ask for him and you will not be disappointed. Chicago foodie! Awesome

Not that it has to be reiterated but the food was delish, and Scott was attentive and kind. The view was beautiful – but that was because God blessed us with a rainbow throughout our dinner. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Enjoyed a special anniversary dinner here in June and can't say enough about how good the food, service and view was. Only issue was finding the elevator to the restaurant which is off to the side of the main elevator and not well marked. Vassil was our waiter and provided a wonderful experience and was always on time with everything and very knowledgeable.

Go to this place with full confidence that you’ll not only receive a high end meal, but the service is exceptional and the view is the icing on the cake. And a side note, we left our credit card there and two days later we retrieved it without any problems. These people are truly special. Did I mention how good the service was?

Good assortment for breakfast and nice city views. Its directly above the diamond level. They also have a restaurant for dinner.

This restaurant appears to be permanently closed. Hotel and website does not indicate that. We went up on the elevator to go in-only to get off on a completely dark, unlit floor. Restaurant was dark and looked very eerie. Appears not to have been open for quite some time.

We dined at this restaurant for the first time and had the pleasure of having Manuela as our server. She made our evening phenomenal by recommending superb course meals while being conscientious to any allergies that we may have, which evidently enough, my partner did have particular allergies to acidic ingredients. The impeccable service as well as the marvelous meal is the main contributor to our return to this restaurant.

Awesome setting wonderful food and Vassil the waiter was a pleasant addition to the overall experience. Thanks Vassil for your awesome customer service...

Wonderful date night with exceptional service from Manuela. The food is amazing, atmosphere and view wonderful and very romantic. Ohh, and the cocktails ( Old Fashions) to die for!

My wife and I visited Nikolai's for our 26th wedding anniversary. Full disclosure...our 25th anniversary was spent in Lyon, France at a Michelin star restaurant. Our reservation was miraculously made the same day, but we did have to opt for the 9:30 seating. This was ok because by then the restaurant was quieter than I imagine it would be during a full seating. Our server, Vassil, was great. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. For appetizers, we got the Diver scallops and the Seared Foie Gras. The scallops were very tender and delicately prepared. The Foie Gras was just ok, but the comparison point of Foie Gras in France may be unfair. It was not nearly as tasty or delicate. We also got the artisanal cheeses, which were all nice to the palate. For our entrees, we ordered the Magret Duck Breast and Herb Crusted Lamb Chops. Both were outstanding. The lamb, while very tender and well seasoned, was still not the melt in your mouth experience we had in Lyon a year ago. For desert, my wife got an apple dish with cinnamon ice cream and I got the Godiva Chocolate Souffle. Both were extremely tasty, but the souffle was especially good. Vassil also brought out a small portion of bread pudding in celebration of our anniversary...equally delightful. They have a very extensive wine collection, but I was disappointed in the small number of French wines available by the glass, particularly white wines. I had a tasty Bordeaux red, but my wife really wanted an appealing French white and she couldn't find one that suited her tastes. Overall, it was a great dining experience. However, there is a reason why Atlanta is not on the list of cities reviewed by Michelin. Perhaps that sounds snobbish, but when you eat at a Michelin star restaurant anywhere in the world, it can be difficult to compare restaurants that are great, but still not on the same level. This is how I would categorize Nikolai's. I would recommend it to anyone as one of the finer restaurants in Atlanta. For the record, we paid about the same for this meal as we did in Lyon last year, so I do feel the experience at Nikolai's is slightly overpriced.

We have for then the best service and food at Nikolai’s Roof! We had the pleasure of being served by Scott and he is truly amazing!! We’ll be back

Beautiful service, location and food. Would certainly come again. We had the four course and all was perfectly paired. Thank you!

We went for our anniversary. We had an early seating. The service and the food was exceptional. Our servers banner was Manuele. We did the four course meal. Not a bad seat in the place for views. Also a nice bar located on the same floor.

Nikolai’s roof was a wonderful place to celebrate our 45th anniversary. Cindy our waitress was very professional and the perogies, tenderloin and soufflé dessert were fantastic. Starting the meal with chilled flavored frozen vodkas was a great tradition that makes this European Restaurant unique. We looked so forward to this special evening and the food didn’t disappoint. They were very kind to offer us a special dessert in honor of our anniversary. We were disappointed however in the dress code. Several guests wore baseball caps and one family entered carrying their child over their shoulder. The parents wore work out clothes and jeans and the child stomped out of the place a couple times . The Nikolai’s roof of old wouldn’t have allowed this attire. Please reinstate your dress code and your age requirement.

Nikolai's What have you done to me!?! Pleasant atmosphere - Delicious meal - I had the duck and it was melt in your mouth. The Tiramisu was incredible! Oh and my server....Laizo! Laizo! Laizo! She was as lovely in service as she was beautiful! Laizo sealed the deal. She was attentive, knowledgeable, personable and genuinely kind. Thank you Laizo for being one of the best parts of Nikolai's on the Roof.

Contessa and the entire team at Nikolai's is absolutely amazing. Alexander is a gracious and knowledgeable host. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is just delightful.

This restaurant is on the roof of the Hilton. They'll validate Hilton valet or Hilton garage parking. The food was delicious! I was nervous about ordering the duck because it's easy to overcook. The waiter said they'll typically cook it medium rare or medium based on customer preference. I had it medium and it was great! The salmon appetizer tasted amazing, but it was on the small side. The creme brulee was delicious as well. It is pricey compared to some restaurants (3 course for $64ish), but you get what you pay for. The service was excellent. The views were great. I will revisit!

The last time we visited this Russian restaurant was May 12, 2012. We have always tried to hit Nikolai’s anytime we were in Atlanta over the last 30 years and have always enjoyed the experience. Last night, not so much. We were visiting Atlanta to celebrate our son’s 25th anniversary and our 54th. Tonight we are going to Del Frisco’s which is his favorite. We arrived last night at 18:00 for our OpenTable reservation and took the elevator to the roof of the Atlanta Hilton. There was three other tables occupied at this early hour. I had requested a window table and was granted this privilege. Our somewhat efficient server, Cindy, greeted us with a Happy Anniversary salutation. (It was in my OpenTable profile.) Still a nice touch. She explained the fixed price menu options. We started out with two “Perfect Margaritas” which were coyly sweet. It seemed like the bartender had used a simple syrup along with two orange liquors which took it over the top in the sugar department. Fifteen dollars apiece. Not a good start. We decided to go with the four course fixed priced option. We both started out with the Braised Beef Tenderloin Piroshki pineapple, red bell peppers, sauce Béarnaise. This was one of the better parts of the meal, although they could have been served hotter and not so quickly. We had not even had time to finish half of our pre-drink cocktail. For the second course the wife had the Diver Scallop dish with too much salt added in the kitchen. I had the Red Beet & Beef Borscht Consommé Savoy cabbage, dill creme fraiche which was not consistent with traditional renderings of this dish. Tepid in temperature and lacking in flavor. We both ordered the Magret Duck Breast with fingerling potato, broccolini, parmesan and a blueberry reduction cooked to a medium temperature. The duck arrived medium rare to rare, was tough and with a strong gamey flavor that even the blueberry reduction could not cover. For our final course she had the chocolate soufflé and I had the orange creme brûlée. These two dishes were the only perfectly presented items. The whole meal was rushed and there were only 8 tables occupied when we departed. Cindy removed the duck from our bill, but the total was still $172.96. Maybe the chef takes Monday off, but it is our last experience for one of our passed favorite restaurants in Atlanta.

Nice atmosphere and tailored service, Contessa was wonderful and shows that the staff really step out of their way to try to make the visit most worthwhile.

Best date night dinner ever! The service, ambience and food were all amazing! Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended

Amazing fine dining experience. 4 course meal is a great deal. Loved the foie gras, filet mignon and the souffle is a must! Great fine dining service, discrete with attention to detail and well timed.

We had our best meal in Atlanta last night at Nikolai’s Roof. We chose the four course tasting menu and each of us ordered different things. Scott took great care of us and was able to expertly pair a different glass of wine with each course. Everything was great, but the highlights were the braised beef tenderloin Piroshki (like a mini beef Wellington) with sauce Bearnaise; the jumbo lump crab cake with blueberry and poblano (absolutely amazing combination of flavors); the seared Foie Gras; the red beet Borscht Consommé, and the herb crusted lamb chops. Service was impeccable. I was surprised how small, intimate and romantic the restaurant is (being at the top of the Hilton) and the views of Atlanta are wonderful. Put this at the top of your list for fine dining experiences in Atlanta.

The title of my review sums it all up. The restaurant had an amazing view & incredible ambiance. The best part about our visit (other than each other's company) is that the service was great & the food was delicious. Sometimes places that have beautiful views lack in another area. This was not the case. The portions are small but we knew that because we read the reviews & looked at the pictures. However, by having smaller portions we were able to sample more items. We had the Braised Beef Tenderloin Piroshki, Diver Scallops, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and Beef Tenderloin that came with Risotto & Brussels Sprouts. Everything was delicious.

My husband and I dined at Nikolai's Roof tonight and it was nothing short of amazing. The food, ambiance and the service were top notch. Our wonderful server Manuela made the dining experience even sweeter. And the views are unmatched. I more than recommended this dining experience.

Nikolai's Roof is back again with a fresh start from the pandemic. The past is still in place. It was wonderful to have familiar faces to greet us. Though the food was different, it was equal to anything ever served in this restaurant. The meal opened with hot rolls. We got the full treatment. The tastings, the courses, and desserts were all first rate. The restaurant was full. The service was perfect, and the new chef in the back delivered a meal that we have been waiting for. I had the steak and my husband had the salmon for our entrees. Couldn't have been better. Appetizers and desserts were first class. We are laying in wait for the piroshki and soufflé to make a reappearance, but their replacements were equally divine. The restaurant plans to reinstate these in the future. More families were dining in the restaurant this time, and the dress code was more casual. Both were good additions. The view of Atlanta was a reminder that was still is. This is fine dining at its peak. Do yourself a favor and keep this restaurant front and center on your lists of places to spend the perfect evening. You won't be disappointed.

Arrived early for our reservation and got seated right away. I ordered a four course meal while my mom ordered the three course meal. Food came out very fast and it was delicious. I highly recommend getting the asparagus soup, duck breast, and key lime Panna cotta. I think the best part about our entire dining experience was our server Manuela. She was very helpful on what to order and offered really good advice. Also, I have to mention that the view was spectacular as well. Towards the end of our dinner around 7:30. The entire restaurant became packed so if you want to sit by the window, maybe get an earlier reservation.

Great place to celebrate our anniversary, service by Vassil was top 5 stars. Recommend to make a reservation. Great view and atmosphere. Food was exceptional. Great Job thanks!

This is probably the worst dining experience I've ever had. Not only is the food mediocre, but the interior is dated and the overall experience is diminished by the lack of service. Not only did it take over an hour for our party to receive the bill, but there were several instances when our table wasn't tended to. There were maybe 4-5 other tables to serve, and we had to flag down the waitstaff for water and to order other beverages. We were served fairly quickly, but not once were we asked how it was or if there was anything else we needed. It was an exhausting visit. After requesting the checks at 9:50, we finally received them at 11:00 p.m. after everyone else in the restaurant had left. It felt like we were practically being held hostage in an overheated, mid-90s nightmare. After letting the manager know (as this was all happening) he said "I'm sorry" and walked away without any further conversation. This place is far from fine dining. Support a local Atlanta chef like Steven Satterfield or Anne Quatrano and see what happens when you spend your dollars towards quality, local ingredients and people that actually care about your dining experience.

This restaurant is great for food and views! Was celebrating a friend’s birthday and wanted to check out somewhere we hadn’t been before. The restaurant is located at the top of the downtown Hilton and has great views - especially as the sun is setting over the city! The dinner menu is a 3 or 4 course meal and the portions are well sized and very filling. Our server Manuela was very attentive and offered suggestions of some of her favorites and we were all pleased with our selections. Even if you don’t have time for dinner, would be worth grabbing a drink and appetizer at the bar to check out the views!

Great atmosphere on the 30th floor of the HIlton Hotel. The views of Atlanta are amazing. Upon exiting the elevator we were greeted by the host, very pleasant. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable, everything done with intent. Our dining experience was excellent...a 3-course meal that included Crab Cake, Filet and Molten Chocolate Cake. Everything was excellent, served in a timely, friendly fashion.

We ate here after getting married and Laizo made it such a special night for us. The team really went above and beyond to make us feel special. We cannot thank everyone enough for the incredible food, atmosphere and service. This place is a must-try!

Nikolai’s Roof was spot on and complete perfection for dinner! The foie gras, the duck breast, grilled cheese, and the grand marnier were all splendid—perfect in every aspect! My server, Laizo, was delightful, attentive, and knowledgeable about both wine and food—and the service was top-notch! The entire evening and meal were a perfect 10! Thank you again—and especially to Laizo—for making my dinner and experience supreme! Kindly, S.D.Bowie, Jr.

We are Atlanta natives that love to come here for the view. The food and drink are top notch, but the staff really makes it. Manuela and Sherry are wonderful!

Tranette is amazing bartender seriously give her a raise sweetie and took care of us made sure we had everything we need talked to us with beyond respect

From the ambiance, the food, the skyline views and the service everything was exceptional. Definitely will be back. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF AND OUR SERVER VASSIL. Shout out to the manager for ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care of.

I really loved the obvionce it was just outstanding. I was taken here for my first date. It was spectacular, more than I have ever experienced at a restaurant.

When it's even open (often it is closed), this place is very pricey. The scallops were too salty to eat. However the live jazz (if it's happening) was very nice and the views are lovely. Go up for a look around and a drink, but would recommend eating elsewhere.

Nikolai's is a gem! A friend and I decided to go out for a nice dinner this past week and what fantastic experience it was. The small details are not overlooked and the food was delicious. Our server Vasil was very attentive and knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant. I've lived in GA for over 30 years now and it's so refreshing to enjoy a 'new' fine dinning experience. I highly recommend spending the evening overlooking the city, enjoyng a great meal, and wondering where all the people driving around are heading. Thank you!

The food was immaculate , but I’m always here for wonderful customer service, Manuela was sooo amazing!!!
Really overrated.
Really overrated. Service was good, food was just okay at best. Brussels sprout salad was trying too hard, fish was dry and overcooked, steak overcooked. We were there early and one of the only tables so busy isn’t an excuse. Dessert was the best course. Disappointed and wouldn’t recommend.
