I've eaten at Nirvana for the lunch buffet and have always had an excellent meal. Recently, I went with my son and husband on a Friday evening to give it a try. They are BYOB, so you can bring your own beer and wine. The origin of their spices is Northern India. We ordered the Tandoori for two and it was plenty enough for the three of us. They threw in an extra samosa at no extra charge. They kept the ice tea and water flowing and were very attentive to our needs. The restaurant had a few diners at 7 pm and by 8:30, they hardly had a vacant table. Nirvana was clearly the place to be for dinner! We will definitely go back again for both dinner and their fabulous lunch buffet!

Overall Nirvana is ok. There is a wide range of choices from the buffet. Everything is fresh and staff is friendly. Prices are very reasonable. However the dishes lacked the deep India flavour which makes Indian cuisine special. The naan bread felt like cardboard. And then there was the large screen as big as the wall that showed a cricket match. The coffee was Nescafe instant coffee. And for Wifi you need to ask for the code.

Decent food and service. Nothing great. Had higher expectation. There are similar or better places. Curries were good. Sweets were nothing great. Had trouble getting service. Loved the Pakoras.

Went here for the dinner buffet with friends. You get freshly cooked plain/garlic/ butter naans, and the garlic naans were just delicious and tasteful! The actual buffet were plenty and well cooked. The meat were nicely cooked and properly spiced (some deliciously very spicy). Pricing is also value for money - worth it. Would definitely recommend this place.

We had a fantastic dinner at Nirvana (Memorial, Houston) last night, and it’s an easy 5 stars. The food was dialed in across the board: the Butter Chicken was silky and balanced—rich tomato-butter sauce with tender pieces that melt in your mouth. The Bhindi Masala was a standout (and not easy to get right): okra cooked perfectly with onions and spices—no slime, just flavor. From the tandoor, both the Fish and Tandoori Chicken arrived sizzling, lightly charred on the outside and juicy inside, with a bright hit of lemon and fresh herbs. Service was warm and attentive without being intrusive; plates were paced well and the team checked on us just enough. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable for the quality. We left happy, full, and already planning our next visit. In fact, we’re planning to use Nirvana for our next party and catering order—these flavors will be a hit. Highly recommend!

We were six people in our group for dinner on a Friday night and it was a great experience! Some people were more knowledgeable about the food choices and some were not and the friendly staff answered all our questions. We ordered several different items to share and all of it was delicious! The staff was very nice and accommodating upon entry until departure. The atmosphere and decorations are pleasing as well. We’ll be back soon!

This restaurant is Indian restaurant and food is good. But owner greets you only if you pick a wine bottle while entering restaurant lol. So buy wine and win respect ;) In other words, to go is best who want food and dining is good who want respect and food ;). So , decide before u go there..

I had lunch today at Nirvana on Memorial. My co-worker looked horrified and I asked her what the problem was. She pointed to the cockroach that was climbing on the wall behind me. We asked to be moved and they did. But they did not get rid of the cockroach. The cockroach got to the ceiling and started crawling towards our table. While looking up I also saw cobwebs with other bugs and debris handing from several parts of the walls and ceiling. When I went to get dessert, I saw a flying insect buzz around the food. I told the manager about the bugs. His response was they have pest control go every week. I pressed him and imparted on him that the weekly pest control service was irrelevant, the bugs are still there. He kept arguing about the service they had and missed the point that there were two unhappy customers at the restaurant. We will not go back.

The lunchtime buffet is quick and easy with some of the better to Indian food I've had in Houston. There is a good selection of meat and vegetable curries along with rices and sides.

Roedd bwyd yn flasus iawn ac nid oedd prisiau'n chwerthinllyd. Daeth bwyd allan ychydig yn hwyrach nag y byddem wedi hoffi, ond dim byd i ffwrdd. Roedd y lefel sbeis yma mor ddilys ag un y gellir ei ddarganfod yn Texas.

Nirvana has delicious food on the buffet or made to order. The buffet is open for lunches and Monday/ Tuesday evenings for dinner with 8 meat entrees, 8 veggies, a salad and dessert bar. So much to choose from! I've never had a bad time here, and love how nice the staff and owner treats our group. we've been having group dinners here for over ten years! The restaurant is very clean and updated. You can't beat the $0 corking fee BYOB. Indian food is my favorite, and I highly recommend this place!

I am not an Indian food expert by any means, but I have been to a few good Indian restaurants in my time. What I can tell you is this is the best of the bunch. I ate there on a Sunday for their lunch buffet and I found a warm atmosphere with attentive service. Every single dish was top notch. Naan is baked warm and brought to the table with your meal by the wait staff. And it is some of the best naan I have ever had. My favorite dish was the honey chicken which was not sweet with a hint of spice. An amazing balance of flavors that I will remember. Chicken tikka masala was really good and perfectly tender. Desserts were a great finish with my favorite being the suji halva which had a subtle sweetness with a hint of cardamon. I was able to get the buffet to go, so my wife could enjoy all of these dishes too. The only downside is I live in the Austin area and I have to travel 2 hours to enjoy the best Indian food this side of New Delhi! I will definitely be back and I may just make a special trip in order to enjoy this again.

The night we went, our fourth couldn’t make it so that reduced our choices for sharing but everything we had was very tasty. It’s a lovely indoor setting plus a nice (in warm weather) deck addition which is where we sat. There is also a buffet (not sure of the price) that smelt heavenly as we walked in and looked plentiful as we walked past but we chose to eat a la carte so we could chose and eat what we wanted. We chose a half tandoori chicken – must have come from a monster chicken there was so much of it, chicken tikka marsala – delicious sauce, best of the lot, we asked if they could make us a lamb saag (as they had a vergetabl;e saag listed) and they said they could make us anything we wanted (now that is service and that is how a restaurant should answer) – it was tender and moist, and a vegetable korma which was chock full of veggies in a tasty sauce. Rice came included and was far too much for 3. Plain Naan also came included and allowed us to mop up the yummy sauces. All dishes were of a good size. All sauces were tasty and different – nothing bland or me too about their cooking. Try as we might, there was still plenty to take home and of course, no room for dessert. This was the first time we had had Indian in Houston but it won’t be the last.

5+ stars. I would say 10 out of 10. The restaurant is clean and the decorations march the food being served. The staff is friendly and informative. They took care of your every wish. Texas and out of state travelers, you'll not be disappointed!!

My company took us to lunch for Indian food; the food and service was fantastic! Vegetarian and Meat lovers all were pleased with their menu options.

Nirvana is immaculately clean and presents an Indian Buffet in addition to it's off the menu items. The curry options are excellent ,and the deserts and wide variety of sauces are also commendable. Located in the Energy Corridor this place is very popular with the locals and business people wanting a great meal at a reasonable price.

We have eaten here many times. We love the vegetarian platter but also often order entrees. Everything is tasty and the service is fantastic. Tonight we had dinner with friends, we shared samosas, aloo gobi, a vegetable korma, a spinach dish, chicken madras, rice and naan. There was nothing left at the end of the meal and I would order any one of them again. My personal favorite is the korma, it is so flavorful. We also enjoy the option to BYOB. We are able to bring very good wine and they cheerfully serve the wine with no corkage fee. We have also gone with a family group including young children and they were quite accommodating. I saw a previous comment about valet parking. There is a valet next door but we have always parked our own car with no problem. I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes Indian food.

If you need your weekly "fix" of Indian food, you can't go wrong by trying Nirvana's Monday night buffet. Lots of choices, from the mild Chicken Tikka Masala to some stronger stuff. They also had some great vegetable dishes including turnips - which I loved. Naan and papadums are served as part of the meal.

We went there for Mothers day and the buffet was better than most of other Indian restaurants in Houston. However simple thing like Tea was lukewarm . Every one knows Indian tea should be hot. This one was probably microwaved quickly and served semi hot.

This restaurant was recommended by a business associate and the vegetarian food is quiet good & tasty. Meat or sea food items are not so good in taste.

It is always busy at lunch time, packed with workers from the energy corridor, so might need to make a reservation if you don't want to wait for a table. There is always a good selections of items in the buffet, equal amounts of vegi & non vegi choices. Hard to select favourite items as we are always impressed. Freshly made Naan bread is constantly refilled & brought to your table.

We have dined in and ordered to go. Both are excellent options. Everything we have ordered has been outstanding, but my favorites include the daal makhni and chicken tandoori. Level of spiciness can be adjusted on request. There is an outdoor deck that is great for dining outside when the weather is nice. The lunch buffet also deserves mention - many places cut corners with quality for buffets, but that doesn't happen here. The quality of each buffet dish is just as good as when you place a stand-alone order.

Nirvana has one of the best Lunch buffets that I have been to. All the food is very fresh with an enormous selection. The Tandoori Chicken, Chicken currey, lamb, and vegetable dishes are all superb. The bread is delicious and continually delivered to your table. Service is excellent

Nirvana restaurant served good indian buffet for just 16 USD. They had mandatory valet parking, but it was "complimentary". Just had to pay tips.

Love Chicken Tika Masala. We try different items but always go back to this! Service is very efficient and staff is always nice. My favorite Indian restaurant in Houston. Lunch can get very busy but dinner is usually quiet and relaxing.

Everything is so consistently good, it's hard to say what is a favorite! Go for the buffet Monday or Tuesday night and then you don't have to choose!

This is the best indian food I have ever had until now!! Especially the butter chicken and chicken marder, so traditional!

I went on Tuesday and it was buffete night for around 16 USD, so i had the opportunity to try many dishes, all of them were awsome !!! They tasted like real Indian food , and for that price!!! There is nothing more i could want. LOVE IT !!

Fabulous courteous staf Delicious food. Excellent segregation of vegetarian/non vegetarian food. Deserts had 30% more sugar than needed.

Great variety of Indian dishes and very flavorful. Good ambience. Great staff, very attentive. Construction on street so be careful of entry into parking lot

Having eaten here a few times for business I have come to really appreciate the quality and abundance of gourmet Indian food that this restaurant has to offer. The lunch buffet is ideal for a meal shared with associates, clients, or simply just by yourself.

It was a really disappointing meal, not worth the money. The Chicken Pakora and Machchi Khybri appetizers were bland, the taste did not live up to the descriptions. The Aloo Paratha had almost no aloo and no taste at all; Achari Murgh was average, nothing to write home about. The Mango Mousse was okay but was really dense and heavy and not light and airy like a mousse. Two dishes we liked were Lamb Madras which was flavorful and Ras Malai that was delicious. Also, the young lady who was waiting at the table was really good. These saved the meal from being a complete disaster.

We had dinner here for a small family celebration, and couldn't be more pleased with the menu selection, food quality and attentive service. The spicing was very good, although had probably been toned down a bit(in terms of hot spiciness) for the American pallatte. The tandoori selection was great, daals and paneer dishes (to name just a couple) were quite tasty and naan was pretty good too.

With an attractive decor and fantastic buffet Nirvana Indian Restaurant serves Northern and Southern Indian dishes. I'm not the buffet type. Buffets make it too tempting to clutter one's plate with a hodgepodge of scoops and flavors, one running into the next. I prefer a more orderly plate, one in which the elements enhance one another. That said, I had no hesitation to pile all kinds of goodness on my plate recently at Nirvana Indian Restaurant. The restaurant serves a very good buffet daily at midday as well as on Monday evening. This is not one of those lineups with a million options. This buffet will fill your plate, but not over-clutter it. And it will do something else for newcomers to Indian dishes: The buffet offers a kind of guided tour of some of the highlights on Nirvana's full menu. It really is a must for first-time customers who are curious about the place and its cooking. An entrée alone at dinner can run anywhere from $13.99 to $26. At lunch, the entire buffet - which includes salads and dessert - costs $11.95 on weekdays, $16.99 on Monday evening That's not to say an a la carte dinner here is not worth the price. At nearly $20, the lamb vindaloo (medium spicy, please!) will knock your socks off, comfort food lovers. In the traditional Goan style, the lamb is braised in a mix of fragrant spices, vinegar, coconut milk and other aromatic ingredients. The process at Nirvana involves marinating the meat in wine, vinegar and garlic, and the result is exquisite, a rich, unapologetically bold stew. The acidic marinade balances the richness of the lamb. Also an entrée hit: Nirvana's chicken tikka masala ($17.99), rich with a tomato gravy that's scented with garlic, garam masala and fenugreek. This is an almost buttery stew that, like the vindaloo, can be shared between two. On a recent visit, we sopped up extra sauce with bits of warm, garlicky naan ($3.99), although Nirvana's fluffy basmati rice works well to soak up the stewed dishes. And Nirvana's sizzling tandoori dishes are dramatic to behold and smoky-delicious to savor. There's no guarantee any of these dishes will be on the lunch or dinner buffet, but there is enough variety on that midday spread to entice you to explore the restaurant's many gifts as you dine in a serene, Indian art accented space of properly dressed tables and understated décor. Options range from appetizer fritters and samosas to tandoori dishes to green eggplant with fennel and ginger to paneer with fresh mushrooms, peas and spices to house-made desserts. Whether you choose the buffet or a la carte dishes, chances are you will experience the same attentive service. Plus, while the restaurant dies not serve alcohol, Nirvana has a no-corkage-fee BYOB policy. If you forget, there is a Spec's just down the street. There's a palpable sense of pride here, apparent from the detailed way dishes are presented as well as from the servers' explanation of dishes. There's good reason for this pride. The restaurant's chef has brought more than new aromas to this serene space - he's brought delicious flavors for all palates.

Attended a function last night at Nirvana. We had the best assortment of curries we have ever had in a restaurant in Houston. The staff were fantastic and couldn't have been better.

Coming from England our number one dish is the indian on a friday night.Visiting this resturant was a pleasant surprise as the mixed spices reminded me of englands better establishments. what a cornucopia of differant dishes . staff was friendly and not ott, mansor the manager was a delight.....then to find out they had a chef from England via New York was the chutney on the popodum so to speak. it was a recently refurbished building in very good order.

Probably the best Indian buffet in the city. You cant beat the varieties coupled with excellent service.

The food was great, and the service was excellent. The menu was full of all my favorite Indian dishes, can't wait to go back.

Food was average- not spicy or complex. Papadum was limp and soggy. Condiments that came with were watery and too thin. Food was okay. Naan was excellent. Wait staff was impersonal.

This my most favorite restaurant out of all the restaurants that we go to regularly. We come here about every month, maybe even more frequent, at other times. I think the best value is the buffet. We already visit regularly but they still manage to surprise me with a new dish each time. The quality of the food is superb, service is responsive and the customers are diverse. You must stop by whenever you find yourself in the West Houston area.

Nirvana is a gem of an Indian restaurant, the food and flavored are rich and original, lovely. Surprised that it was BYOB, but made the dining experience easier on the wallet. Grab some King Fisher at the near by Spec's and then head over to Nirvana for lamb Boti masala - you'll thank me!

Wonderful food, especially the northern Indian selection. Very bright and fresh and willing to provide take out.

Nirvana is my favorite restaurant in Houston, Tx. area. Nice environment, very attentive staff, great presentation, elegant buffet and delicious authentic food. Thank you Nirvana 🌹

I did not have high expectations at first. But wow... It was really really good. My family is now regular visitors.

Great food options on the buffet, friendly and efficient service. A must go to when my sister is in town!

this restaurant is serving real good north Indian food , both veg and non veg were better than any other restaurant near by area. its a repeat visit place . we were here for a lunch buffet . the sitting arrangement is OK . i felt they should have been more liberal with free space to move around. the ambiance is good the only bad part is that there is no distinct demarcation for their party hall and regular guests. which is kind of disturbing and creates a chaos kind of feeling specially the noise from party people spoils mood of regular guests who wants to enjoy a relaxed lunch with leisure. you will always feel like eat and run away from this place the cost is little high but it goes well because food is above average They make best gulab jamun (tastes like home made ) in city don't miss it . the samosas you can avoid and chicken makhni looks very dark as if its red meat. the mushroom dish has less mushroom and more of other vegetables

I met my friend for lunch as he was craving for Indian food I had reservations at Asiana but last minute made a change We were told about buffet but decided to order My friend ordered Kokani crab curry ( mild) and I had ordered veg kofta curry ,laccha parathas Food arrived little late and crab curry looked very dull like some lump sum of something Kofta had not much curry and had no taste at all Also no cilantro or nothing Paratha was just ok They did serve some rice , cucumber and small raita Since my friend was with me I did not say much Table started wobbling so had to call them Kofta curry was less than average “ Crab was craps “” I will not suggest any one to eat these dishes here Buffet $ 18 might be a better choice as our food cost was more Then my friend had Gosh Bukhara and papad( little burned ) and something I hope that fit his wife’s sake it was ok Aga is 200% better place and has better service Food and cost , decor etc When I asked for Manager, it took a while and then Saleem showed He hardly listened to my criticism saying he has other appointments He did not even bother to compensate any thing This owner I guess is spoiled due to less competition and does not care about non Americans as they do not know what is good or not Long time zhi I had eaten in Nirvana and food was ok This time I feel that it is wrong to use name “Nirvana” it is far from the name Nirvana in Indian culture means a lot but a arrogant Pakistani owner may not even know the meaning of “Nirvana” Once our food was spicy at Aga ‘s and the Manager and owner go out of their way to serve us and take care every time we go Ismaili people indeed are better !! Later I saw him eating with some one on the terrace I felt so bad that I did not take my friend to Asiana I am from Pune and we know Kokan as my wife is from that area So next time I will have to cook real Kokan I crab etc and invite my friend Never again I will visit Nirvana unless the Manager apologizes to me in writing for his non attentive response I advise many indian to be careful going for “ Nirvana “ Experience

This is a pleasant restaurant along Memorial with pretty easy parking. The food is good, but not great. That said, there is a wide variety of dishes at the buffet and the service is pleasant and friendly. An ok value.

This restaurant is located by the energy corridor and the parking can be a little tight( if they have a full show). The ambiance is fairly ok and it seemed as though most guests wanted to sit on one side/corner of the restaurant( including us...may be people wanted to sit far away from the door). We went there with kids for dinner and the kids were almost on the verge of melt down. So we wanted to order something quick. We ordered veg soup and appetizer( samosa). It took forever to come. The surprising part is that they seemed to have more waiters per table but I guess the backend and their order taking process was just inefficient. Added to the inefficiency, they were unapologetic. We had to cancel any further order and left for a local joint. Food quality is average. They have a bar license but we did not order any drinks. Most of the other guests seemed to order something from the bar and hence may not have bothered the wait. If you plan to taste Indian while at Houston, there are others which you may want to try before "experiencing nirvana".

We have gone there several times for their buffet and found the variety and quality excellent. Service is great too, Can be busy often.

Excellent food, but slower than a one-legged turtle. Two of us ate dinner there on a Friday night and were immediately seated, but she only gave us only one menu and seemed surprised when we called her back and asked for a second menu. The waiter took our order after about 5 minutes, and then we waited for just under one hour for the meals to arrive, with no apology. I would recommend the restaurant for good Indian food, but only if you're not in a hurry and don't fancy a drink before dinner. They don't serve anything alcoholic, but they do allow you to bring your own. They don't serve beef or pork either, so plan on lamb, chicken, or seafood dishes.

It use to be very good before they moved now there prices have gone up and smaller portions and the quality has lowered

While the food was better than typical Indian food, the service needs to improve. I know at a buffet you have several customers to be served drinks etc, the management should hire more staff to handle this

Pros: Fast service Good decor & space availability Swapped rice to roti with no additional charge Cons: Expensive if you not doing buffet. Non veg is almost double priced than veg Portions are not large & cannot be shared Do not serve beer or wine The food was ok, not out of the world but only tried one no veg item

Their buffet was really nice. Best was checken butter masala, and chicken curry. Naans and desert were good too. Loved it.

We attended a function at Nirvana and the food was excellent as well as the variety! You can have more mild with plenty of flavor or a little spicier. Authentic Indian food. Service was very good, very friendly and helpful. The parking lot is very small and there was very aggressive valet parking person who would not let you park your own car (50ft to door).

It was a fantastic lunch with friends here, and loved the quality and ambience here. The buffet had some great dishes, the best though was Chicken Chettinad. Would definitely visit again, to answer the call of taste buds :)

I was recently complaining that there is a dearth of Indian restaurants that are good in the area. We came here and I am impressed. I like the buffet in that it has several good dishes and I can try lots and be happy. Food taste and quality are good. Price is decent. Friendly service.

One of my favourite Indian buffet restaurants in Houston. Food is great, with several meat, chicken and fish dishes. Also a better selection of desserts.

The appearance of the buffet was awesome, and the favors were excellent, and the atmosphere was nice, but the price was the greatest value! Nice job!

I have dined in and had food to go on several different occasions from Nirvana. The food is always delicious and the staff is very friendly. Only once, did I find the food too spicy for my taste. I've told them since that time to keep the food more mild and they have always accommodated my wishes. If you dine in and would like to have a drink, please BYOB as they don't have a liquor license.

The buffet was excellent, fantastic really for a buffet. Excellent vegetarian and omnivore offerings. You will definitely get your complicated spice "fix" and even for the relatively experienced in Indian cuisines you will find some mystery and novelty. Finally, the price is right and atmosphere relaxed and pleasant.

I have not actually visited the restaurant but we have had a number of their meals delivered . Its the best Indian that we have found in that Houston area both for quality and quantity of food at a reasonable cost. I especially like the Murgh Tulsi Tikka , Lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken Tikka Masala. The deliveries always arrive with welcome free poppadoms and sometimes Naan. The food is always very well packaged which differentiates it from other delivered meals that often leak and degrade in quality in their travels.

Crap food quality, poor customer services, unfriendly staff and you would wait forever to throw up crap food-not recommended at all...

Food is average: chili chicken is good but I wouldn't recommend their corn appetizer. It's pretty bad. Service is average and while they have handicap parking, entering the restaurant is a challenge due to uneven entrance.

Great place to get authentic indian food very good and pleased to see mostly indians in thereso you know the quality of the food I would recommend the buffet which has several large dishes of a good variety of food

Ate the buffet this time round, every dish was hot, we'll spiced, tasty and naan bread brought fresh to each table. It was even great value at 20 bucks - go here and have the goat curries and the butter chicken especially. Server Asian dude with the spiky hair needs to be a bit more attentive and friendly with some eye contact and recognize that his job is about service but even with relatively poor service I still give this place 5 stars, it really is that good ! Rob

I have been here three times so far. Twice for lunch buffet with co-workers - when I thought the fare was okay.... typical of an Indian buffet. The third time, I took my wife for dinner on a saturday evening and the place was almost empty. We occupied the third table to be occupied the evening. We ordered Reshmi Paneer Tikka for starters. That is a Joke. We were served about 6 cubes of Paneer sauteed in Ketchup !!! Come on Guys ! That is not even a recipe for anything !! We ordered Bhaingan Bharta and Punj Rattani Dal for Entrees along with Roti. Both the dishes were below par with no specific taste. Bhaingan Bharta neither had the taste of eggplant nor the smoked flavor it is expected to have. The dal was below average for a restaurant. The rotis were probably not fresh, re-processed from the afternoon's buffet. The service was below par too !! Will not return here.. Not even with co-workers !

If you like American friendly Indian buffets, this is easily one of the best in Houston (and that is saying something). I have never had a dish here I didn't like. The service has always been good. The only complaint I have is the parking, but now they have a full time valet, so that's not a problem.

It is just ok, the dishes compared to other Indian restaurants were not the best I had. We tried famous dishes we usually have and we had had better.

Great place, delicious food and very good service. Though BYOD formula they staff is open and willing to share own drinks :) Appreciate !

We had a very good meal one evening with friends at Nirvana. No complaints at all. THen a couple months ago we stopped in and the food was not warm, not tasty, and we were very aware of some sort of tiny insects throughout the restaurant. We didn't finish our meal. Prob'ly won't return.

Going by the Standards of Indian food, calling Nirvana food as Indian is a disrespect to the community. Went there Dec 11 for the weekday dinner buffet and disappointed falls short of the actual feeling. Supremely expensive and extremely mediocre sounds about right. Everything from the starters to the entree's to the dessert were exceptionally bad. I don't recall a single restaurant I've ever been to that has had such second rate food for such top dollar. If you are Indian by any chance I would advice to stay away.

An authentic indian restaurant. Food is delicious, service amazing and prices reasonable. After a couple of visits, you will be received as a family member. You can bring your own booze.

This place has been around a long time they remodeled years ago and put in a patio the service is okay but not great the food is pretty good but they raised the prices if you're in the area you should try this Indian Place although there are several this one is better than most

Really enjoyed the dinner buffet with the nice variety of delicious food. Everything was perfectly seasoned. You can also order a la carte.

The food and vibe here is absolutely incredible. Me and my wife catered here for our wedding and we keep coming back here for date nights. When you come here ask for the honey chicken it’s absolutely delectable. And after your meal order coffee or chai. It’s delicious hey’ll bring it out in these beautiful floral cups. My wife isn’t a coffee drinker but she loves the coffee here too. Overall it’s a nice place for family dinners, date nights or just to order food solo. 10/10 experience and very professional customer service.

We went to Nirvana twice in November - December 2017. We had a buffet lunch once and a la carte dinner once. The food was served hot, however, the spread for buffet was limited and wasn't amazing. While Nirvana's food was alright, as an Indian, I liked the other places in the area or in Hillcroft much better than Nirvana's offering. Plus the restaurant is on the expensive side for the quality of food served. The staff was quick and courteous though. If you are in Houston then better options are available for Indian food.

A little slice of Indian heaven, deserves far higher ratings. I chose based on location and expected typical strip mall crumby and was pleasantly surprised, an elegant, classy, spotlessly clean ambiance with friendly and helpful staff. I've eaten Indian food all over the world and this place had the best mushroom naan I've ever tasted, the butter chicken was also exceptional and they got the medium spice just right, a truly excellent meal ! Rob

My friends live in Houston and are of Indian heritage, so they really do know great Indian food. They took me here for dinner when I was visiting them in Houston. They said it is one of their favorite restaurants, and said that I would love it, too. They were right! The food is served buffet style, and you can try a variety of classic Indian dishes-lamb curry, tandoori chicken, chicken masala, etc. Everything was delicious! They also have vegitarean dishes, hummus and naan bread and some authentic Indian desserts. I highly recommend this place if you like Indian cuisine.

The lunch buffet, while better than the average Indian buffet, is mediocre, but then that is to be expected of a buffet. At $16 per person it is a tad pricey. What really upset me was that I signed for $80 and they charged my card for $85!!! I have read other reviews complaining about this. If you really want to eat there keep your receipt if using a card and track the amount. Otherwise pay cash.

Butter chicken is to die for. Dahl mukhani is awesome. Had a wonderful experience there. Service was good but never had just one waiter. Everyone was all scattered and was a but difficult to get a waiters attention. Worth it for the amazing food. My husband and I will be frequent customers.

Some friends and I had dinner here for my birthday. Oh my goodness, can we say Awesome? We did go on a weeknight when they have the buffet, every selection was fresh and seasoned to perfection! One of my friends was very familiar with the menu, so was able to explain and make some suggestions. The shrimp and spinach were my absolute favorites. Yes, I said spinach...marvelous! The service was perfect, someone was always there exactly when we needed anything and the restaurant is tasteful and extremely clean. Met the owner and manager, both who were very gracious and pleasant. I cannot wait to go back again!!

Have enjoyed a few evenings on Monday nights with a large group of friends for the buffet at Nirvana. This is a local restaurant which serves a variety of Indian curries in a buffet each Monday and Tuesday evening. The dishes are mainly chicken with some vegetarian and a few beef and shrimp dishes. The desserts are so-so. It is BYOB. Overall it has a nice atmosphere.

We enjoyed our lamb, goat, and squid once we got it, but it was a very long wait. From the time we walked in until the appetizer was served was just over an hour. The place was not busy but there seemed to be only one or two waiters. No manager seemed to be working although the owner showed up later and told the table next to us that he had to supervise a catering job. Portions are very large and we got to take some home. The good news was that we had a coupon and did not have to pay full price.

Always delicious and quick! Food is fresh. Good spot for lunch! They also can handle large groups (they have a separate room).

We have visited Nivana at least once a month for last couple of years, usually on Friday or Saturday evening. Have not had buffet or lunch. Food has always been good, though we often ask to have it spiced up as being from UK we prefer it hotter than normal.. Cost is reasonable given it is BYOB with no corkage. Mr Mansour (owner) is always gracious and helpful with any issues with the menu. Definately worth a try.

Thee Best Indian restaurant I have been to in Houston!! Every single dish is made with loving care and accuracy. I cherish every visit and send ll friends and associates here for an amazing meal. I promise you, you will never e disappointed. Absolutely heavenly 🤤

I met some friends on a Monday night at 7 pm. Easy parking, vs the usual crowd at lunch time. Others have complained about the service, but it was pretty good. The Carnivore side of the buffet had lamb chops, tender, but over seasoned. Chicken in various sauces, Goat, Shrimp, and of course various combinations of vegetables. The food quality was overall, pretty good. Fruit, mango mousse, and carrot halva for dessert. BYOB. Some wine from the restaurant would have been a nice touch. Lot’s of Indian Families eating here.

Visited for the first time for a lunchtime business meal, and was very impressed with everything, the décor is wonderful, tables spotless and well laid out, no paper napkins here, and the clientele were standing in line waiting for tables to come free. There is no better recommendation when people are prepared to wait patiently to enjoy what is a superb spread of food, both vegetarian and meats. The buffet is very well laid out, accessible from all sides, and looked so good, we all opted for that rather than an a la carte menu. I tried the chicken tikka masala, then the tandoori chicken, the chicken kabob and the goat rogan josh. Add the palak paneer, the khumb jalfrezi, I was truly bloated. Indeed I did not eat again throughout the day. I was extremely impressed by the taste of the goat, something a lot of Americans rarely get to eat. The tikka was made from breast meat, and I wish that they could use some dark meat as well, as it is tastier. My colleagues went up twice each, sampling everything and although one was English and knows his Indian food, our Texas friend also enjoyed the meal. Suffice to say she was more than happy. Surprisingly, nothing in the buffet was beyond mildly spiced, but at least they had some hot peppers and chutneys. One oddity was that there was no alcohol available, not that I sought this out being lunchtime, but they do have a BYOB policy. Obviously there will be a corkage charge. There is a number of parking spaces, but you should arrive early to ensure you get one during lunchtime. Overall, this is a great place to eat, and the buffet is well priced at $13 per head. I shall look forward to trying out the evening menu sometime soon.

Very nice restaurant with great quality food and service. But you have to pay for good food, so it is not cheap.

After a nice 45 minute early evening exercise stroll throughout the neighborhood around my hotel, I came upon an interesting Indian place that I thought had a buffet that evening... wrong! Anyway, my co-worker and I set out to visit the place, and though the evening buffet was only on Mon-Tue, we nonetheless stayed and leafed the menu. I confess i had to phone my vegan daughter in L.A. for a clue since Indian is not my normal choice. My friend was sort of an expert on Indian cuisine so between herself and my daughter I made up my mind. Bear in mind that I'm hooked on spicy foods, so when I saw a "3-chiles" logo on the menu next to the mushroom vegetarian dish, I dived right in. She ordered a lamb stew that I also tasted and was greatly impressed on the tenderness of the braised meat. My mushroom Khumb-Vindaloo was amazignly tasty, yes, spicy, but very tolerable. Her lamb Ghost Bukhara was mildly flavorful and delicate. She, being a consumate fitness fanatic, was able to have dessert, and she said it was "heavenly". I trusted her; being diabetic, I can't have dessert. So, in a nutshell, I was in for a sampling variety Indian buffet, and came out intrigued by the savory cuisine and willing to try it out sometime soon.

A friend and I were visiting for the day and decided we wanted Indian food. We were close and just rerouted to the restaurant. When we pulled in the was a sign that said valet parking only - very odd to us. When we got inside, we realized there was a buffet. Awesome selection of food - lots of vegetarian dishes, salads, fruits, and desserts. Great service. Price was around $16 - which was less than I expected as I most Indian buffets I find (at home) cost over $11 at lunchtime. I really wish I lived closer to this gem! Several of the dishes were the best I’ve had anywhere!

Value n quality ....reasonable price....didn't charge for kids..... Fresh dishes. ....balanced choices of vegetarian n non vegetarian options.... Kids also liked it..... Had a lovely time ...would recommend for lunch buffet in weekend...not sure of weekday
Excellent lunch time buffet
We have used this restaurant on a number of occasions both for lunch and dinner. The staff are very friendly, for lunch it does get quite busy but they employ a free valet parking then which is really useful. The food is very good, one point to note is that they do not have a drinks license, but are quite happy for you to bring your own bottles of wine, which they will happily chill and serve, for a small corking fee.
