Great Service & Excellent Food

By Charles P |

Nicole (Nicki) was an awesome server that provided excellent recommendations to our party of four. The stand out dishes of the meal were the blackened cod and rock shrimp. The cod was truly exceptional and everyone loved it. I will definitely be back when in Atlanta.

Lacking in service which depreciates the whole dining experience.

Food was very good but the service leaves much to be desired. We dined for lunch with a party of three and had a reservation. After being seated we waited for over 15 minutes to be acknowledged and then another 15 minutes for water and menus. They delivered the wrong food to our table and took a very long time to clear plates when courses were completed. It’s fortunate the service is poor because the food was good.

Won't be anywhere near the top of my repeat list!

First of all the drink were great! Four drinks ($83) My buddy ordered a very delicious Rock Shrimp ($35). I ordered Black Cod ($50) as an entree, which for me was very salty. Mind you I'm not big on salt so I wasnt sure if it was just me. Our wait person Nicole never came back to check on us. If she had, I probably tried something different. We did flag her down reminding her we ordered a lychee martini. Her response was "its probably back there I just never went back to check". That was the last we saw of her. Winston, whom was an exceptional service person, bought our tab. He discussed with us all the topics food service people should. None of us had any idea why Nicole disappeared. Overall I felt Nobu is expensive and has questionable service. Total w tax+ tip $205

Pricey but delicious!

My husband and I stopped by for a quick lunch on a weekday. Surprisingly there were only a few other people there. About 4 small tables of guests in the whole place! Our waiter was pretty horrible. He didn’t help us with the menu or make any noteworthy suggestions. We both ordered cocktails which were delicious! My husband had the steak and I had the miso glazed cod which was melt in your mouth delicious! Having lived in Japan I can say this cod is the best in Atlanta without a doubt. The food made up for all the other shortcomings at this dismal restaurant. Prices are outrageous!

Dinner 6 pm

Reservations were easy on OpenTable. The Tirodito Nobu style was one of the best bites I’ve had in a long time. So good. So fresh. So interesting. It’ll definitely be on my mind for a while. The tempura eggplant was also excellent along with the miso eggplant side dish. The black cod miso was also a huge portion, perfectly flaky and buttery. The king crab tempura was OK. The chicken anticuchos were not hearts like we thought. That was our mistake and assuming it would be Peruvian, we should’ve asked. It was a very busy restaurant for a Monday night. All the servers helped out each other, which was nice. We had a very good experience more than we did in LA.

Nobu Fell Off!

Our third and final time. Quality has diminished significantly. Portion size has suffered. Paid nearly $200 for BURNED OVERCOOKED FOOD! Unacceptable. The fact that they actually presented the food to the table told me everything. And how do you burn vegetables and overcook rice when you charge $50 for rice? The rice could barely be scraped from the serving tray. (Picture not uploaded here) Management must have changed and when there are literally 20 people in chef’s uniforms behind the cooking area someone should no how to cook. Left NOBU and went somewhere else to eat!!! Save your time money and energy and just go somewhere else unless you just want to be able to brag that you ate at NOBU ATL.

Good Sunday Brunch

By Richard M |

We just tried Nubo’s popular AYCE $75 per person Sunday brunch in Atlanta. The atmosphere was lively, further spiced by an actual DJ. Service was quite attentive and their interactive chef stations were brimming with a nice variety sushi and other hot dishes. The beef ribs was their one stellar dish, so tender and juicy! Everything else was good but not exceptional. I’d give their sushi a B or B+. Other good options include the Japanese curry rice (karē raisu) and the bao buns. The one definite disappointment was the poke bowl. All in all, Nobu’s Sunday brunch is a nice option. While not dazzled, we left with a smile on our faces. Before tipping, we spend $200 for a two-person meal (no alcohol, only water and one mocktail).

Expected Much Better! Over priced hotel restaurant sushi at best.

My wife and I decided to check out Nobu Atlanta after shopping at Phipps. I called and made reservation for 6pm. We were excited as we Love Sushi. We were greeted by our server who was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and even what was not on the menu. As soon as the dishes were served it was clear this was not going to meet our standards (Lily Sushi Alpharetta) by far. Specifically the super fatty and medium fatty Tuna, it was stringy and with a fishy taste. Secondly, our bill with tip was $469.14 for two with no alcoholic drinks. We have been to some of the finest sushi restaurants in Atlanta, Manhattan and abroad, this was less than average overcharged Hotel Restaurant Sushi at best. My wife said the Tuna was double the price of our regular Sushi restaurant and we were charged $3.00 for Every side of sauce! That's OK that is your policy but you could at least let me know so I can make that decision. We usually never pay north of $300.00 with some to go. I decided to call the general manager the next day. As a business owner, I thought the GM should know what's going on. Unfortunately, I never received a call back.

Always a GREAT Time....

never disappoints....I have been numerous times I can not say enough god things abut Nobu Atlanta. The entire staff does a great job all the way around and I look forward to my next visit.

All hype and missed compared to its competitors!

Bartender was unfriendly, very tall lady! Winston was great tho! Cocktails were good, food was unamqzing and pretty normal dishes. Expected to be to Umi standard but falls short! It was my wife’s birthday and they brought a dessert but put it on the bill and said that company policy is not to buy birthday desserts! I felt they were a tad arrogant. I wouldn’t return!

Beautiful Space - Food Excellent

Pro: Food is at Nobu global standard. Cool space. Tables in front ornate kitchen are superior. Con: Service got overwhelmed. Large waits.

Excellent food!
