Stylish yet comfy restaurant with excellent food!

By LexFun |

Came by with some friends and we had a lovely time. Such a cute space and the food was really fantastic! Everyone in our party agreed the smoked yogurt was to die for! All the dishes were interesting and flavorful. Atmosphere world work for a sexy date or just hanging with friends.

Portions are small . There

Portions are small . There menu doesn’t have kids plates . The grilled chicken ,lamb and beef lack flavor and where cold when served . Service was limited and lack hospitality . Not worth the long line waiting . Won’t go there and don’t recommend specially if you have little ones .

Good mediterranean food

By rakesh p |

Good food. There was a wait. Since I was the area during lunch time I asked if I need to make a reservation for dinner. Unfortunately I was wrongly informed. I would highly recommend reservation through opentable. All the dishes are family style fit for sharing. No impressed with the pita. After having had the 'real' pita in Dearborn MI, these were fresh but thick and lacked a crunch. The hummus and Muhammara were good. The meat balls had a kick to it. The lamb kebabs are individual portions and were juicy and succulent to eat.

Loved Every Bite!!

My husband and I were on a quick three-day getaway in SF and happened upon Noosh as we walking down Fillmore. SO happy we decided to stop and eat!! We both loved all of our food which included the Chef's sampler of kebab...appetizer sized my husbands fave was the chicken, mine was the pork. My husband had the Greek Po'boy with calamari and it was delicious. I ordered the soujuk flatbread which included an egg on top and loved every bite. There were so many other things on the menu I would have loved to try! The restaurant's decor has a warm, modern and casual design. We were lucky enough to score an outside table on a beautiful sunny day. The neighborhood is filled with fun shops and Eaton establishments. Don't miss this great eatery!!

Very good Eastern Med food

By mojoFCH2020 |

A well lighted cheerful environment serving higher quality Eastern Mediterranean (swath from Turkey through Armenia, Syria, Lebanon etc.) cuisine with a focus on tasty unique ingredients. We went for the 5 and three spread selection, complemented by falafel and their "chubby" and very tasty pita bread.

Delicious dinner

Everything is delicious. The food is eastern Mediterranean, spicy but not very hot. Lamb meatballs and the flatbread topped with egg are particularly special. Open for lunch and dinner with the same menu. Casual and fast service but the line can be long (no reservations). It’s difficult to find parking in the neighborhood so consider taking public transportation or Uber/Lyft

Great food

Great atmosphere

Family of 5 (including 2 teenagers) looking for good food and atmosphere on a 4 day stop in SF, We weren’t disappointed. You can’t book so queued for about 20 mins (quicker for smaller parties) the restaurant has lots of areas we were upstairs on a mezzanine level which was really lovely. Great atmosphere and great food. Would recommend Sharing plates such as kebabs and pitta and dips. Loved this place and would highly recommend

Hits all the right notes!

Friendly and attentive service, a well-balanced menu with something for everyone, pleasing decor, and the tastiest food. What more could you want? Great location that gets a lot of traffic but we didn’t feel rushed at all. The smashed potatoes, citrus salad, and salmon kebab plate were enough for two people and so filling. The flavors were delicious- distinctive but not overwhelming. Everything was cooked to perfection and we will absolutely be back!

Delicious Mediterranean in a Fun Neighborhood

By Barb B |

Four of had dinner on a Wednesday evening. No trouble getting a table at 6pm, but the line extended around the corner when we left. Two items were standouts and shouldn't be missed: red pepper muhammara and the pork soujuk (Turkish flatbread). We also ordered hummus, babaganoosh and assorted skewers which were very good. The chubby pita is delicious too. I'd definitely return.

Really good Mediterranean fare on Fillmore

By CaWineGuy |

The food here is generally very good quality - the hummus is amazing. All dishes are tasty, but none are astounding. This is a solid restaurant with good food that is dependable.

Lovely meal

So yummy. This is a Mediterranean tapas place- lots of little bites and small plates. Kebab, calamari pita, spoon salad, falafel- delicious!

Not following SF COVID guidance

We had very concerning experiences with the host and manager at Noosh in late November. We had a reservation for our family for Sunday brunch, which we were excited about. At the door, we (and others) were treated poorly by the host and then we were turned away because our son who is 13 years old did not have a *physical* ID to show with his vaccine card. (She would not accept a photo of his passport. The host insisted that this was San Francisco health policy for indoor seating - when it wasn't. We looked it up, see photo below for the policy at the time.) I followed up with the manager Daniela Ornelas three times (2 voice messages and an email) to discuss and received no response from her.

My new favorite place!

Fabulous food, great service and wonderful atmosphere- patio seating, bar seating, casual lounge seating and 2 other dining areas. Great location on Fillmore.

dinner on Thursday at noosh

By Alaka S |

There was a wait for 1/2 an hr on a Thursday but the line moved quite fast. We got 3 spreads and extra pitas. The server gave us hot pitas when we asked for them. The 3 spreads we selected were hummus, babaganoosh which was good and mahammara which was delicious. it was enough for the 2 of us for dinner.

Can't wait for this place to open for reals

We got a sneak peek and taste of Noosh at their New Year's Eve party. The space is beautifully redone, with three interesting sections, each with its own vibe. All the party food was gorgeous — no one familiar with Istanbul Modern, Laura and Sayat's Feastly popup, will be surprised by that. The smoked labne was delicious as always but this time accompanied by hot pide (think "puffy pita") fresh from the brick oven.

Fabulous meal

Definitely worth trying when in the Fillmore Street area. The food and service were fantastic. As a solo diner I couldn’t try too much but the skewer plate was amazing as was the green salad. I would love to go back in a group and try more dishes. Tip.....wait across the road in The Grove bar so you can watch the queue die down

Heaven on a spoon

and a fork, and maybe your finger, if you can't bear to leave even the last little smear of dip or sauce on the plate. The yoghurt soup was indescribably delicious, and beautiful to look at it with its little splotches of color. The tomato salad was among the best I've eaten anywhere and each of the skewers was fantastic in its own way. I love the blue in the decor, reminiscent of both Turkey and Mexico, where the chefs fail from. Fun to have enamel dishes, too. And the price is right: it was by far the best meal for the best value in a week of eating out in SF.

Takes us back to Morocco

By 928BonnieC |

Two girls getting together for late lunch. Haven’t seen each other since Morocco & wanted the taste if our trip. Noosh was great choice! Chose 3 soreads w/ naan—Red pepoer muhamarra with almonds in top was by far our favorite. Hummus goid, but nothing unusual. Smoky yogurt good with the lamb meatball small plates. Also did kale mushroom flatbread. Extra edges good dipped in spreads. Got soggy tho— would try salad next time. Mint ice tea was refillable— appreciate that

never got our dinner

By Adventure547455 |

I'd rather go shopping, cook, clean up and pay 5x than return to this restaurant. My wife and I visiting SF and had 120 min free away from kids for a dinner. unfortuantely, we chose Noosh b/c of the cool atmosphere as we drove by. After ordering and being slightly neglected inbetween ordering wine, apps and dinner, we were told it was last call, so ordered another wine. a Salad came and a side of potatos, but when we inquired about our main course, the kabobs, we suprised tha waiter who said "Oh, you didn't get those?". When he returned we were told last call was already made and the kithchen was closed. Last call for foo ordered over an hour ago simply was not going to show up. The waiter referred us to a maanger since any sort of challenege or conflict wasn't good for this spineless, wimpy server. The manager arrived, a heavy set black woman, and continued to be very unhelpful. she offerred a free dessert .....but we never ate dinner....and now couldn't since their kitchen and most kitchens nearby were closed. Worst service and apology and respect I've ever recieved. My wife and I are easy and never complete reviews. We are now bc this place deserves it. it doesn't make me feel good enough though. It was worthy of a dine and dash with a scene. Darn, we just arent' those type of people. Don't go. Simply not worth it.

A nosh at NOOSH....

By Paul L |

Four of us went to NOOSH for lunch today, It was hit and misses. The service was good. We ordered : sabich sandwich which was tasty, trumpeter mushroom kebabs, nicely presented, spoon winter salad, Ok at best, Pork Kebab tasty and mildly spicy, simple green salad, lacking oomph and dressing, carrot salad which needed a little more dressing & attention. It was disappointing, specially when they charged us .75$, three time, for extra dressing, and some hot sauce, a first for us. I personally think that if you have to eat there, stick to the kebabs and their bake bread items which are cooked on a pizza oven of sort, in the room. If you’re looking for great food experience this is not the place. I personally will not go back. (5 out of 10)
