Cozy neighborhood spot

By John C |

Nice neighborhood spot for a great burger and a cold beer! Very convenient, so we are frequent customers. Amazing what the cooks can do such a tiny kitchen!

Great burgers easy street parking

Lacks the warmth of a true Irish pub but it is away from the hustle and bustle of Flatbush avenue and serves very good burgers. I was there on a weekend afternoon perhaps evening hours have a better atmosphere.

Perfect local restaurant for family or couples.

Food here is always good. The selection can satisfy anyone. Service is usually attentive, sometimes a little forgetful. The specials are usually very good and the Burgers are always good. Fries are exceptional. Salads are big and varied. A full bar is available.

A hit every time.

Stopped in recently for dinner and opted for the Prime Rib it was juicy delicious and plenty of it. A neighborhood Bar/cafe with a near perfect atmosphere. Service was great and friendly with every request i made honored without question. Look folks this is NOT Le Cirque, or Four Seasons if you dine there you may notice a difference in the attitude and Price. Quite simply this is as good as it gets with a neighborhood restaurant. PS do not come during July 4th Week They are closed for renovations. Yes each and every year the entire restaurant is updated painted, floors redone and bar too.

Many meals at Nora's. Excellent food. For a bar, this place is one of the best. Very consistent. Friendly bartenders and servers.

Just lunch

New in the neighborhood... our neighbors rave about Nora's... great burgers... great French onion soup. We went to Nora's for dinner. You enter the restaurant thru the bar. Spacious dining room, spacious seating. Nice menu. Just couldn't relax & enjoy. It was a Thursday night at 5 o'clock. No special sports event or anything on tv. Noise from the bar was just too disrupting. Mentioned this to my neighbors, they all said, they just go for lunch & ask to be seated in the back room.

An Oasis near Marine Park

This popular local restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including a special daily menu that is usually reasonably priced. It is located across the street from a major funeral parlor, which makes it convenient for those paying final respects to loved ones. Last night, I ordered the, "Aged Angus Beef Steak". It was exactly as I ordered: "Medium on the border of rare". I usually have a baked potato, but decided on mashed, and again, the taste and consistency was outstanding. As for the vegetable of string beans. They were cooked to perfection. (not soft, or water soaked). The service is always very good. The bar, which is up front, may be crowded and intimidating upon entering on weekends, but the dining area is separated and there is also a back room. I took half of the 16 oz. steak home, and had it with eggs in the morning. Although I ate alone following a meeting nearby, I have taken or met friends there on several occasions, and no one has ever expressed disappointment.

Mother's Day lunch

Had a great time with family here on Mother's Day - family of 18 all enjoyed our food, casual American , recently remodeled.

Varied menu, comfortable surroundings

By SuzyQu15 |

Nora’s has a cozy, neighborhood vibe. Many people are greeted by name by the friendly waitstaff. They festively decorate for holidays. The menu is quite large, from casual fare such as burgers and wraps, to varied entrees and pastas. Prices for food and wine are reasonable. Parking is on the street.

Local Favorite!

Nora's is located in a residential neighborhood and is frequented by area locals. The food is consistently good and features specials. Large menu of American food, both light fare and dinner entrees. Service is good and prices reasonable. Parking is on the street.

Too much noise!

By hilarieg413 |

I have only been to Nora's three times though it's an 8 minute ride from home. The food is delicious and well priced. A glass of pinot grigio is $6.00! The service is great. The reason I've only been there three times is the noise. The decibel level is over-the-top terrible. I'm sure they know this and possibly doing something with the ceiling might help. But, hmmm, why bother? The place is packed!

Good food slow service

By Ira Wechsler |

I have always been curious about this establishment. It is a traditional Irish pub with a beautiful facade. The bar is in the front and the bulk of the place is the restaurant in the rear. I came in during a weekday when there were only a 2 or 3 tables of eating customers. It took over 20 mintues after I ordered before I got my ceuben sandwich minus the cheese that I specified. I really enjoyed the sandwich. The corned beef was moist and tender without being fatty. The cabbage tasted great with the corned beef. If the kitchen was more on the ball I would have given it a 5 star rating. The waitress was friendly.

Great place

Great Neighborhood Cafe

By John C |

Nora's is a great neighborhood location for good food, good service and a friendly staff. The selections that come from the tiny kitchen are always very good and the draught beer from the bar is always fresh and cold! Immediate seating is usually available, but check if there are multiple wakes at the funeral parlor across the street; then it gets BUSY!!

A good comfortable bar pub with good food

Worth the visit , Nora’s has a menu with a good cross-section of dishes for every pallet. Nice ambiance, good food choices and a fully stocked bar.

Great Neighborhood Restaurant!

By SuzyQu15 |

Nora's is a local place in the heart of the residential Marine Park neighborhood. Service is friendly and attentive. The American menu is varied, food is very good and prices are reasonable. They feature burgers, wraps, pastas and full dinners. Decor is pleasant and I especially like how they decorate for the seasons and holidays, particularly Christmas. Highly recommend!

A Neighborhood Favorite - mine, too

By RetiredTraveler2013 |

Nora's is well-known in the neighborhood and serves many regular customers in the restaurant and the bar. The food is consistently delicious and the prices are reasonable. The menu is some what limited, but they also offer specials each day. Favorites in our family include the very large salad with mozzarella and grilled shrimp or the spinach salad with apples, walnuts and blue cheese. Other favorites include the batter fried vegetable appetizer, the buffalo shrimp either as an appetizer or in a wrap with a side of fries. Try anything from the daily special menu and you should not be dissapointed. If you are looking for a quiet, intimate place to dine, this is not the place for you. The atmosphere is lively and sometimes very loud, especially at the end of the work week. If the bar noise is too much for you, ask for a table in the back room, which is very comfortable and quieter, with a homey-feeling. On a Friday or Saturday evening you may need to wait for a table, but its a great place to end the work week. Now that we are retired, we usually go a little earlier or mid-week when there is no wait. The staff are from the neighborhood and you can count on them providing consistent, friendly service. When large groups reserve part of the back room, the service can be a little slow but usually the service is excellant.

Good local fare!

Met with a colleague for lunch. Warm atmosphere. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I had a bacon cheeseburger. It came with french fries and onion rings. The onion rings were the BOMB! I will definitely go back.

Very Good Neighborhood Spot!

By SuzyQu15 |

Nora’s is located in a residential neighborhood with parking on the street. You walk in to an attractive bar where it seems locals gather and regulars know each other (kind of like a local Cheers!). Two dining rooms are comfortable and usually decorated for holidays. They offer specials in addition to the regular menu. Burgers are excellent as well as chicken pot pie, which came with choice of soup or salad. The pea soup was very good. Large varied menu with something for everyone. Highly recommend!

Casual neighborhood restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and varied American menu. This evening’s special was prime rib served with soup or salad, vegetables and potatoes. Excellent. The wraps and burgers are very good as well. Service was excellent. There is a full bar. Parking is on the street. A favorite with locals. Highly recommend!
