Meatballs pizza gluten crust

By Jorge S |

Meatballs pizza with gluten free crust was really delicious. North Italia restaurant in the Middle of Brickell Miami is like a sport bar and therefore don't expect the service to be superb but the pizza was

Very Nice vibe!

Having a cup of wine, and relax while you experience the Brickell environment, very pleasant. The food fantastic!

Nice food but odd settings

By Albert J F |

Business dinner last Wednesday in this fairly new place of Brickell Ave. Frankly the place is too big for my taste, simple huge with a lot of concrete and simple interiors. The service is not too bad and the food was quite good. As everything in the area all very expensive. But there’s worse ...

Lovely Italian restaurant !

By annabur2016 |

This restaurant was a lot bigger than it looks from outside. There is a good atmosphere and the staff were great. I made the mistake of having the white truffle garlic bread and it was huge !! I then had the Buratta Tortelloni which was delicious! Sadly I didn’t have any room for dessert. I enjoyed my meal and would come here again.

Good food, decent service, but with (an easily fixed) hygiene issue

By Fred |

Good food and service. However, the window groove of the outside bar desperately needs to be cleaned from broken glass, wooden picks, and old rotten food that stinks and is far from appetizing. Making this part of the standard and regular cleaning process would be the most elementary level of hygiene…

Excellent food

By Liliana E |

Awesome food, and it was really fresh. Great recipe. I really enjoyed the fried calamari, the prosciutto bruschetas, and the pesto pasta. I like the decor and the ambiance.

Yummy Italian food!

By Brittany |

The food was amazing! My friends and I were in town for the super bowl festivities and found North Italia by online recommendations. It definitely lived up to the majority of the reviews I read. The service was great! Our server was attentive and gave us great recommendations. We had calamari for an appetizer which was amazing. I had the Chicken Parmesan (pic included) and it was DELISH. We all had cocktails and there was not one we didn’t like. The restaurant was packed but we only waited 5 minutes for a table for a group of 4 on a Saturday night! Highly recommended if you’re in downtown Miami.

Exceptional Brunch

By Lucas Di Picoli Garcia |

Brain new restaurant in Brickell. Highly recommend it. I was here for Brunch and already thinking of when to repeat 🤤. The vibe is really nice and so is the location, a block away from the Brickell City Centre Mall. I'm not a big fan of donuts but they have the best lemon donuts I've ever tried, they are a must. Great service also!

Loved North Italia

By Francoise L |

Went for dinner on a mother/daughter vacation. Great food, fun atmosphere, service A+ Would definitely recommend to others and will hopefully go back the next time I'm in Miami. Restaurant was full so it's usually a good sign.

One of the best Italian restaurants...

By Sean Brown |

Server was excellent, took great care of us. The food is perfect. You can tell the sauces are made in house. Kitchen is visible through a glass wall, no small place. Authentic Italian, well made. I always try to Chicken Parmesan as a first visit. The portion was about the size of my hand with fingers spread open. Done perfectly, moist, seasoned very well. My wife had the Salmon and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be back when we are in the area!

Nice dining atmosphere

By Arta |

Outstanding food and service! I wished I remembered our server’s name but he was calling us family 😊! The atmosphere was very nice ! We had drinks and appetizers since it was late but the ceaser salad was delicious fresh and crispy! We sure will go back next time we will be in Miami!

Great addition!

By Vengel |

Cruising down the row of restaurants my husband and I slid into the bar inside facing Miami Avenue and ordered some drinks while we killed time before picking up friends from the airport. We both enjoyed our craft cocktails they have a nice selection with an Italian twist. They have that indoor outdoor concept with very large windows Open to the outside ,which has a very nice feel and somehow no flying insects inside. We ordered the truffle bread which was absolutely decadent and delicious I recommend sharing it with at least four people not just two, it is a heavy bread dish which the server did tell us, we then shared a salad which was also delicious with pinenuts and then each ordered an entrée which we brought home half of ,sitting at the bar was great because of the social atmosphere, However the bar staff has to pay a little bit more attention to the diners if they are eating at the bar ,service was a little slow taking away plates ,but overall I would definitely go back , everyone was friendly ,it’s got a fresh vibe and it is an enormous beautiful restaurant and the food was fantastic

Great Atmosphere

By Linda R |

I loved this place. I will definitely return on my next trip to Miami. I had the short rib radiatore pasta, my family members had pizza and chicken, we were all happy with our selections. The Sicilian margarita was perfect.

Good meal

By JohnPBuckley |

We enjoyed a great meal in this busy restaurant. A good range of options to choose from, it was hard to know what to choose. The house speciality is Bolognese - and it was delicious. Chicken with Pesto was tasty and filling. Ginger Beer Margarita was a great taste. Service was efficient and attentive.

This was honestly the worst food experience ever

By Sydney P |

This was honestly the worst dining experience I have had in a very long time. The waiter was rude and left us waiting for over 30 minutes just for water. He brought us still water for $6 a bottle without telling us that it wasn’t just the normal tap water. Our entire experience here was three hours… three hours for dinner…. He brought our drinks over after we waited forty five minutes. He brought one of our guests the wrong pasta dish after a very long wait. The food was average. It all came out at different times. He really was not helpful at all. I was very angry to be charged $12 for water…. Water…. Are you joking?! He should be embarrassed. He left us waiting for everything for so long, and was extremely rude when trying to trouble shoot. I’m just over it. I have no idea how this place has people in it. If you want pizza go to mister01. If you want pasta go to Casa Tua Cucuna. If you want to have the worst service and mediocre food— North Italia is the place for you! Enjoy!

Delicious

By NPC07 |

What a great restaurant. Although new on the block this restaurant rocks! The server Leon was Great. Knowledgeable and friendly. He definitely helped us order correctly and nothing disappointed. Must try both dishes with the short rib. Especially the one with the pasta the taste is amazing. The hazelnut dessert a winner. Don’t understand some of the negative reviews. We will be back.

Experience, Atmosphere, Service and Quality of Food!!

Excellent Dinner

By Cindy J |

We were in Miami just for overnight and walked from a close by hotel and chose North Italia for our evening meal. The food and drink choices are excellent and we all enjoyed our meals very much. Service was excellent.

Great Food and Even Better People-Watching!

By gefilte63 |

I found this place on TripAdvisor and booked a table for Saturday night at 7:30 PM. Our uber got very lost and when I called the restaurant they told us not to worry; our table was waiting when we arrived. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was great as were the drinks. We sat outside and it was like dinner and a show. Fancy cars, interesting folks, as well as the lights of the city. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Good restaurant

By Sar C |

Very good and pleasant setting. However it is a bit expensive. But very good. The pizza is really very good, the dough is very thin and the toppings are excellent.

Good food

By Vlad P |

Not your tipical italian restaurant but the service was great and the food was really good. I will eat there again for sure. Kitchen has a huge glass wall and you can see what is going on.

Very good

By MatureCouple55 |

Two starters to share - one was returned as it was freezing - it took 15 minutes to get it returned by which time the 1st starter was cold —- nobody cared The two mains — one very good the other had far too much peso Two glasses of wine & one small beer Total bill was $92 years plus service Food OK — price too high — service not great

Highly recommend nice area beautiful food great service by Sabah

By KarenS |

Fabulous. Can see why this restaurant came recommended. Beautiful ambience and food. Our server was Sabah. So friendly and happy very professional. would never have known it was her first day.

Mediocre at best

By Captainrick747-8 |

Drinks came out wrong the first time. Champagne was flat. Food was mediocre at best and the service stunk. So loud impossible to have a conversation. Would not go back if it was free!

Busy, bustling & noisy place for a Italian styled evening dinner.

By Eyekaytoo |

We popped by one Wednesday evening and were directed to a table inside, towards the back of the establishment. The place was quite full, noisy and there were loads of people watching sport of the plethora of TV screens placed around the extensive bar area. Having just jetted in from Germany and eating at what would be ca. 3 a.m. back home we decided on just a light dinner. I had the bruschetta with asparagus and prosciutto ham which was pleasant. Somehow I missed an hint of tomato but maybe that's just me. For the main course I went for a light avocado arugula salad which was nice. My son went for a simple pizza margherita which he also enjoyed. I washed my meal down with a refreshing pint of Freedom Tower Amber Ale from the Tank Brewing Company. Service was polite and the young lady who looked after us was attentive. Oh, and the restrooms were OK.

A Fine Addition

By Dodger29 |

North Italia is a new addition to the Brickell dining scene. A slick and clean design invites you inside along with an attractive clientele. Prices are quite reasonable and the place buzzes with style. A bit noisy, but many like it that way. On this visit, we ordered only pizzas, which is rare for us. Being from Rhode Island, we know a great deal about pizza. The key is in the gravy (tomato sauce) and this gravy was an A. The thin crust was crispy and cooked perfectly. The meats added atop were spicy and correctly distributed, adding to the taste and not overpowering it. As pizza goes, these were A. We will return and challenge this restaurant’s menu.

Nice place

By DTfromTX |

Great atmosphere, very good food, average service. We would go back. Great location in the Brickell neighborhood. . .............

Nice and cool atmosphere but not a real Italian

By Dora |

Nice atmosphere and cool place. But not an Italian restaurant. The bruschetta was very expensive and nothing else than a piece of bread with with cheese and oil. Pizzas are not Italian pizzas because they are very very crunchy. Normal service, super expensive restaurant. Probably it is just for tourists and nostalgic Italians.

Not prepared to serve the new clients

By v22 |

Went to this new restaurant for lunch. The service is very slow with no experience . To start we waited for our drinks about almost 30 minutes. Ordered zucca chips, calamari and a margarita pizza. The zucca chips arrived after our drinks about 20 minutes. They were very thin and drenched in oil.. after 15 minutes the pizza arrived. Asked the waiter for some olive oil and he brought it in a small plate. Odd!Under the pizza crust was some kind of flour. ??? The calamari never made it to the table. So we canceled it.. We ordered a hazelnut torte that made it to the table in 15 minutes.. too small of a portion in a bowl ? Total of 80 minutes for 2 drinks some chips, pizza dessert. The staff was lost. NEXT👎🏻

Great Food

By Ed D |

First time eating, but want be the last. Great staff, fast and friendly service. If have the opportunity to visit I would likely recommend this place. Food is just amazing.

Wow!!!

By BlueMarlinDave |

Once again I am shocked by several of the reviews I have read about this place on Trip Advisor! If this is a Tourist Trap I am a proud 41 year long continuous tourist of Florida. I found this place to be simply fantastic and the prices, at least at Happy Hour, extremely reasonable for Miami. For instance, there was a bottle of Pinot Grigio and either a pizza, bruschetta or meat and cheese platter for $25. That’s a good deal almost anywhere. The bruschetta was excellent and the pizza amazing. The place itself is beautiful and the service great. I will return and I give this place a big thumbs up and a huge WOW!

Miami is unique......... in every sense especially for the pocket.

By brunopompeo |

Returning from a cruise and before returning to Italy, last Saturday 3 May we went with my family to dine in this place. There were eight of us and we had pizzas, fried squid with chips, salmon and to finish ice cream. Kitchen/oven for open pizzas, fast waiters and packed room. Pizzas made really well as well as other food brought to the table. The only thing I didn't like very much were the soft lights, too low for my taste and that's why I don't give the maximum score to this place where we had a good time and the price paid is in line with the average of the place, obviously well beyond our concept of "dear"; just think that a simple daisy costs about $23. But here we are in Miami, one of the most beautiful and expensive cities in the world.

Lunch with Friends

By AURACE |

We had great girlfriends lunch. The risotto balls and the cauliflower were remarkable. The service was very good and accommodated us in a table of our preference. I liked the look and feel of the place.

A great mix of classic and modern Italian cuisine

By Jdfboston |

A great mix of classic Italian and modern food. Service was exceptional, and prices reasonable. Good bar scene and vibes throughout. Second trip, can’t wait to return.

Colleen

By Colleen D |

I toured this restaurant for future client events and found it absolutely delightful. The decor, the open concept and many sliding glass doors is perfect. Light airy and so Miami Busy all the time. Food was excellent. Definitely will be back with clients to entertain. Also great space for large groups.

Average Service, Average Food

By Batdog62 |

Nothing special to see here, move along citizens. This restaurant is not bad, but it is nothing to be surprised about either. We had mediocre service, and what I would call mediocre food. They have a decent menu with enough choices to make most happy, it just is not all that great.

Hit and miss dishes

By ChrisTravellerUS |

Restaurant has a nice vibe and decor but the food, and ultimately the experience is mixed. Crudo sounded great on the menu but was tasteless and boring, soup was below average. However, the Italian farm salad was amazing, highly recommend. Wanted to give higher stars but too many of the dishes disappointed.

Great Italian and service

By Nellyboy39 |

Really good service, food - exactly what you want Started with arincinj and the carpaccio, both were really good Pasta main and 2 pizzas, one of which my daughter did not finish and no problem them boxing it up to take home (they offered) Not the cheapest at 164$ but worth it

So so

By sandrabch |

Went here for a late lunch. We ordered everything to share, carpaccio, burrata, calamari, meatballs and a salad. Carpaccio was dry, calamari are battered, not breadcrumb, which make for a different texture. Meatballs were super. Salad, nothing special. Burrata was good. I had been before and this time wasnt as good.

A great find in a big city

By Jackie M |

This place was an amazing find. The food was great, well priced, staff were amazing and service was exceptional. We enjoyed our visit so much we went back a second time! Thanks Jayna for looking after us.

Never had a bad meal at North Italia

By DArpinothecritic |

While North Italia is a chain restaurant, it definitely beats the olive gardens of the world and other Italian chain restaurants. Being 1st generation Italian American, I have to say that the food is very good. I read through the reviews and disagree with the below par reviews. I must have dined at this restaurant at least 10 times this year alone and I have never had a bad meal this year or any year since it opened. That said, there is plenty of eye candy while you wait for a table or dining. Definitely a fun place! Try it out!

Unprofessional staff

By Toscano doc |

Very rude staff and terrible food quality.. From my personal experience I absolutely do not recommend this place

Welcome to the neighborhood!

By Stephanie G |

When it comes to restaurants in my neighborhood, I try to visit a couple of times before submitting a review. Maybe it's because I know i'll likely go back and am not in a rush to make a decision. Either way, i'm a fan of North. I first visited North for a quick lunch meeting and was very impressed by the space and the natural light inside the restaurant. It reminded me a little of the HIllstone on Miracle Mile except it's got more natural light. That first day I had the lemonade they make fresh in-house which was perfect, the tuscan kale salad which chicken and a cappuccino. Not only was the service excellent, but the food was too. I resolved then to return for dinner before reviewing the place. On Saturday night I met two of my girlfriends for dinner and was immediately taken aback by the friendliness and politeness of the staff. I'm not typically a cocktail person, but it had been a very long day, so I got desperate and ordered the Julietta. The drink blew my mind. Did I mention I don't typically like cocktails..? For dinner we ordered the grilled cauliflower which was my favorite dish by far, the tuscan kale which was as good as I remembered, the spaghetti with meatballs (using gluten free pasta), and the roasted salmon. We also had a bottle of Italian pinot noir which was excellent. To my dismay, we didn't have dessert, but then again life isn't perfect. Overall, it was an excellent experience and i'll definitely be going back. Often. Although nothing will take the place of Perricone's in my heart, i'm glad we now have North to soften the blow if only a teeny bit.

Enjoyed it

By Ryan H |

Enjoyed it. We came in last minute and it was busy. But they seated us immediately, outside. The chicken parm dish is amazing. Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Very average

By Nick S |

Pizza was too soft. Not a great pizza. Setting outside was quite nice. Salad was fine. Won’t be back as nothing memorable.

Pasta for Dinner

By Hardrocker8888 |

My cousin and I ate here for dinner. I loved the atmosphere even though the light above our table was out. I had the chicken parmigiana—it was good. Service was good.

Decent pizza

By AL BLAIS |

I tried their pizzas and wasn’t disappointed. I ordered “The Pig” and it delivers. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed with the service but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt...this time.

Lively, friendly, smart, great food, casual

By MJMCD67 |

Such a great area for a relaxed, fun evening out. We sat at a table on the street, and had great service. Food was MUCH better than expected - incredible garlic bread with truffle, and the scallops for my main were delicious. A really vibrant area, and top food despite the large size of the place.

Loved my meal!

By Janine |

My meal from start to finish was amazing! Zucchini chips, chicken Parmesan, and an aperitif spritz! YUM Josue was very attentive!

North Italia Brickell Miami

By TonyC |

The service is second to none - all of the servers are super friendly, and can't do enough for you. The food is phenomenal - the calamari, meatballs, and truffle garlic bread are out of this world. Very affordable - great ambiance with a lot of life which is to be expected in downtown Miami.

Good for groups, average cuisine, good service

By utfiero |

Good for groups, average cuisine, good service Food: We had a large group dinner for 20 and had a prix fixe menu. The entrée options ranged from chicken, to salmon, to beef filet. Appetizers were decent but not exceptional in any way. Salad included fresh, quality ingredients. Steak was good but by no means extraordinary and included two tiny filets instead of a normal sized filet. Ordered tiramisu for dessert, and it was not good. Drinks: Full bar and good wine selection. I had an Old Fashioned and it was well-prepared. Service: For a very large group, service was good. Ambiance: This is a large restaurant and the ambiance is not intimate. Private room available for larger groups with good sound insulation. Overall cleanliness: average Bathroom cleanliness: average

Authentic Italian dinner

By Mimimw |

We recently enjoyed a delicious and authentic Italian dinner at North Italia in the Brickell area of Miami. Our very attentive and informative waiter, Santino, secured a lovely quiet table for us outdoors. When he told us that the pasta is made in-house, we chose to share the Bolognese. It was just as fresh and tasty as the one we had in Florence, Italy. Then we shared a grilled half chicken that was also outstanding. Santino suggested tiramasu for dessert and an Amaro (Italian after-dinner drink) that my husband enjoyed. What a treat! We highly recommend this restaurant next time you are in Miami. Note: The interior can be quite loud. Outside seating can be worth a short wait.

Best restaurant in Brickell area

By Tarik :D |

Very quick, attentive service. Delicious sea food pasta and Pizza (Funghi). Affordable prices comparing to other restaurants in Miami.

Amazing!

By Melissa R-T |

Service was great, food was even better. Highly recommend the prosciutto bruschetta. Also, they have a great happy hour from 3-6 on weekdays.

Between 3 and 4 stars

By Geoff C |

This vast place is certainly popular. It was busy even on a Monday night. We went because someone who lives locally had recommended it. But I came away slightly underwhelmed. Portions are a good size and service was pretty quick but my pasta dish lacked flavour/seasoning. In contrast others in my party were very happy with what they had (pizza, scallops). Perhaps I was just unlucky.

New Restaurant for Miami residents and more

By MaryGoody |

We live in Brickell and are always happy to welcome a new restaurant. As locals we immediately noticed Happy Hour only offered Monday thru Thursday. For a downtown establishment we found this strange. Most high end restaurants in the neighborhood have Happy Hour every night. Wondering why the management who spent months building out this beautiful space didn't realize this. So.....we had a lovely meal last Friday evening but first we had cocktails across the street! Let's hope the West Coast owners learn to understand the Miami market and quickly fix this problem before they find themselves closing like others who did not adapt.

Not bad, but not outstanding

By coachmikec |

Hence the 3 star review. The service was meh. The food was good but not so good that I’d run back. I think the menu is pretty simple. It wax a mediocre experience

Italy in Mary Brickel Village

By ray raposo |

While visiting Brickell City Center three of us wandered over to Mary Brickell Village. We found this North Italia restaurant, walked in, checked the interesting and not expensive Menu and decided to try it. The modern decor and vibe was very inviting. There's a large bar near the front with a couple of TVs. It was relatively early, and for a Saturday night not too busy; we were seated right away. Their Menu is an interesting combination of Italian dishes with a twist. Small Plates (appetizers), Salads, Pizza, Pasta and Entrees each with several choices. We had the Crispy Calamari with arugula which was quite different than the usual calamari, very tasty indeed. Also the Simple Salad with farm greens, baby tomato, toasted pine nut and gorgonzola vinaigrette. So don't expect the usual Italian by-the-book dishes, they seem to add their own spin to most dishes. My main dish was the Roasted Salmon with pesto faro with caramelized cauliflower, broccolini, lemon gremolata and saba. It was very good, again cooked with a twist. Another in our party tried the Wagyu Skirt Steak with asparagus, sweet potato, salsa verde, arugula and grana padano. He had no complaints as he cleaned his plate. Two types of wine a red Malbec and a white Riesling, which come in 4 or 8oz. sizes by the glass were ordered and enjoyed. We finished with a delicious ice creme topped dessert. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Most prices are in the teens and mid 20s for the Entrees. The restaurant, which is quite large was full by the time we were done. I suggest reservations on weekends.

My new favorite place!

By MSBrickell |

It is an attractive place for visitors and locals. North Italia Brickell is stylish, fun, great service, excellent food. I have visited more than four times now. The bar area is my favorite spot, although it is always busy, you get to relax, have a drink and appetizers while holding a friendly conversation and practice on your people watching skills. During the weekends it is an excellent spot for brunch. The staff is well trained, they have plenty of employees, and most of them seem to come from the hospitality industry, because of their high service skills and confidence while assisting the customer. The bartenders appear to be professional mixologists and very experienced in their techniques, the drinks are beautifully put together, and you can tell the ingredients are the best. As for the food, my favorites are the mussels, calamari, mushroom pizza. In our next visit, we will try the prosciutto pizza (it has excellent reviews).

disappointing and expensive!!!

By joe_testa |

I gave a good review of this restaurant when it opened it the last 2 times, I will say the quality must be snow birds and headed north. the service also left town, yes lots of people working there but 12 minutes for someone to come to our table after being seated!! the restaurant was not crowded so there was no reason for this. the calamari was good and we should have stopped there. my wife had the spaghetti and meatballs for $18. the bowl of spaghetti came with 4 small meatballs and the sauce was a low grade pizza sauce. even chef boyardee would have thrown this out. I had the chicken parmigiana. the chicken was cooked well but they used the same pizza sauce... had to flag down a couple of waiters walking around to see if we could get some fresh parm, after another 10 minutes we got a small dish with the cheese. no more heading the cheese over your food that even Olive Garden does! we will not be back. sad since we live across the street from it. rating 1 to 10 with 10 being great. this visit was a solid 2. only the calamari saved it from a 1..

Excellent service and food .

By HappyGJackson |

We went for dinner April 3 at about 6:00 no wait. We sat down and I had the short rib pasta . The taste was amazing the pasta was fresh and the beef was so tender If your looking for a great dinner and great service this is the place .

Nice dinner

By Veronique1222 |

Not the best Italian ever in my life, but It is correct bistro. Nice wellcoming, not a highend sevice but good. Fodd was very good as I hoped and excepted. Esspresso coffe was perfect. Avarage, Good restaurant-bistro, go there you will enjoy.

Zero customer service attention!

By Olivera M |

We were a group of 4, 2 of us forgot masks and the hostess did not want to let us in without a mask. Totally understandable. I asked for a mask even though the table was right next to the host stand!! So we were supposed to get a mask just so to walk 10 feet?! YET, I asked to give us 2 masks THEY REFUSED!! It’s RIDICULOUS for an establishment to not offer a mask to guests who might need it but yet they require masks even though the law in Florida does not require so. So rude!!! I even asked if I can have the bartender give me a few napkins to make a mask YET THEY REFUSED!! SO SO SO RUDE!! There’s so many better places in Miami and EVERYONE ELSE will offer a mask if needed... don’t waste your time on people who don’t care about guests.

Good food, bad service

By Getbusyliving |

Food was good. Service was unpleasant and slow. The tuna appetizer and the chicken pesto pasta dish were both pretty good. Servers clearly didn’t want to be working and couldn’t care less about anyone in the restaurant.

Bad welcome

By Ilham M |

The kitchen my well the waiter my sympatico and professional but ma girl who attended us at the entrance was not my kind we wanted to change tables and told us that we will close at 11 knowing that we have arrived at 9 We Almost Changed Site Because of Your Bad Service Otherwise all good But important is the smile of those who receive you at the beginning

Great place for a Special Occasion dinner!

By MedMan |

It was a great BDay celebration dinner for my wife. It was a recommendation from our hotel in the financial district. Melanie was our waitress & she was awesome. We have an adult special needs son & she was more than helpful for his/our needs. Highly recommend for a great Italian dinner/ambience and service. A heart felt Thank You for a great dinner to a great day.

No need to wait

By Gabriela |

If you do not have reservation, prepare yourself to wait and wait. It is not because they are crazy busy, is just because they want to have a lot of people at the door to get peoples attention. If you decide to wait until they feel to sit you, you will realize that the place is very big and with PLENTY of EMPTY tables that will stay empty during your entire meal. Food is not bad, in my opinion nothing to die for. It does have a good ambiance at the bar and outside. Servers are very friendly.

To suck your fingers

By José Adrian D |

I went to dinner with my father and we were surprised how delicious the food was at this restaurant. The photos speak for themselves and their attention was excellent plus it is very well located if you find the whole party in the Brickell area

Casual Italian restaurant in good neighborhood. Great food.

By GJ |

Walked to this restaurant from our hotel Hampton Inn Brickell. It is in a very nice neighborhood. The atmosphere was casual, but nice. The food was great! We had calamari and ricotta cavatelli. Service was good, and we ordered drinks before the meal from the table. It was a great find, and we would eat here again.

Price doesn't meet quality of food.

By Jennifer H |

Someone said it perfectly, the price does not meet the quality. I gave it 3 stars because the ambiance was lovely and our server was friendly and efficient, BUT the food was awful. I have eaten in some of the best restaurants and this is one of the worst meals I've ever eaten, seriously. I ordered the salmon which came out whitefish pink with undercooked cauliflower and practically raw broccoli. The bed of pasta literally tasted like raw tomato paste was mixed in it. No flavour, no seasoning. Yuck. What I disliked more than eating it was paying for it. Overpriced because it's on Brickell.

Nice Severs BUT

By J M |

Stopped in and sat at a nice large bar. Server Alexandra quickly took my order and placed my CC in a jelly jar. It was 8PM. Had a 8 ounce glass of wine from California which was 18 bucks. Ordered a salad and a pizza. 16 and 18 respectively. At 9PM pizza still not served. I asked for help which caused a finger pointing session amongst the group of 4 servers at the bar. They admitted to themselves "We have a problem". Pizza deliver at 916. No apologizes to me. We all make mistakes but at this price point an apology would keep me from writing this. White wine was warm, salad good, and the pizza was worse than frozen supermarket.

Great food and top-notch service.

By Pedro V |

The Pizza Prosciutto was delicious. The waiter was kind and efficient. Highly recommended. Booking online beforehand is quite useful - and may lead to some perks!

Just perfection!

By ISLANDATTORNEY |

We wandered by this Italian restaurant on So. Miami Ave & stumbled upon a prefect evening. To begin, the chef had prepared a soup of the day with sausage, mushrooms & kale that was so delicious we were left grinning in delight. The pastas were also marvelous, and we found the wine by the glass to include a nice California cab. Service was friendly and balanced...timely but no rush. Treat yourself to a visit.

Really good

By Kleber Pereira Dias |

I went into the restaurant with a couple of friends. The place is very nice, the service was fast and the food delicious. It’s a great option in Miami.

Loved it so much went Wed and Sunday!

Amazing! Had such a good meal Wednesday evening that I went back. I had the same meal both days...but added dessert on Sunday. I enjoyed heirloom tomato & burrata and seasonal vegetable salad. The bomboloni and tiramisu were awesome. See my pictures of the meal (did not photograph the desserts). Our server, Jayden, was appropriately attentive. Not pushy but attentive. I am picky. Kitchen did not prepare my appetizer. Had to wait. She seamlessly diffused my aggravation. Very smart. Very good. Overall, this gets a thumbs up from me! Enjoy

New Italian Restaurant opened in Mary Brickell with REAL ITALIAN food

By joe_testa |

My wife and I have been watching this restaurant being built for the past 7 months and they finally opened this weekend. We were pleasantly surprise that the food, prices and service all were very good. Everything was fresh, cooked exactly right and great service. The wine list is a little expensive but the food was were within the range you expect in the Brickell area. The Chicken Parm was a good size piece and cooked just right. It came with pasta in Alfredo sauce which was also very good. My wife had the pasta and meatballs which were good. Both servings were large enough to fill you up and even take some home. The calamari was done well and also a very large portion. We will be back.

Delicious food in a nice environment

By KatherineP321 |

My family and I ate dinner at North Italia on a busy Saturday night, and truly enjoyed our experience and meals. I found this restaurant to be very reasonable in price, given that it is located in Mary Brickell Village. The entrees ranged from $15 to $30 and the portions are pretty fair. I liked the restaurant itself because it's very pretty and modern. We sat at a table facing the kitchen, which was fun because you observed the chefs cooking and the employees making fresh pasta and bread. Our server was wonderful! He didn't make any mistakes and was very kind, considering how big our group was. I ordered the sea bass on a bed of vegetables, which was delicious! My boyfriend ordered the chicken Parmesan, which was very good. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some good food and a nice place to enjoy it in.

Great Atmosphere

Very hip, cool hang out. Indoor and outdoor seating. Reminds me of village in NY. Service excellent, food good. Wish there were more vegetarian options. Drinks OK but expensive.

Disappointed.

By Jose3349 |

Last Friday we went for dinner. We have been here many times.but this time. Our Dinner was not very good. Our shrimp app came out burn. We sent it back. And the other one came out under cooked. and it usually brings Tom. My squid ink pasta was bland. I had to ask for extra spicy sauce. Disappointed Dinner. My server was just ok. She must have been new because Was not too familiar with the Menu.

We found this restaurant in Brickell, we walked in and it was my first time in North Italia, we didn't wait they gave us a table right away, the staff is nice and helpful and the food is really good! i enjoyed it very much. I really recommend this nice place.

Great food and service in Miami!!!

By Shef M |

The food and service was awesome, from the original appetizers to the drinks to the food. Everything was delicious and served nice and hot and promptly. The staff was completely attentive to our needs. Our Pizza was five minutes delayed and the chef gave us free desserts. This place is definitely somewhere you need to visit while in Miami.

Great New Addition to Mary Brickell

By Ivette D |

Finally made my way to North Italia, such a great addition to Mary Brickell Village. The restaurant is Buzzing and feels so nice and airy. Plenty of space for small & large groups. The meatball APPS were FIRE!!! The service was on point, food was excellent and ambiance was superb. Cant wait to go back.

Good Food and Good Service

We were out walking and this place looked so inviting so we decided to go in and we are glad we did! Good prices and the food was plentiful and very delicious.

Nice bar scene but food is lacking

By EWMMD |

After passing this new restaurant in Brickell many times, I finally gave it a try for lunch on Memorial Day. I found it disappointing. The resturant itself has a nice vibe with a huge indoor outdoor bar, lots of high top sidewalk tables, and a spacious modern interior that is bright and fresh. But the decor is better than the food. I found the menu somewhat limited. It is filled with Italian fusion items that were a little too creative. We tried the “crispy calamari” to start, which was tasty but had a thicker tempura-like batter that you would absolutely never find anywhere in Italy. It was served with a sticky sweet dressing tossed with arugula. It was more like a calamari salad. Not bad at all, but also not what I would anticipate in an Italian resturant. We also had the “Heirloom tomato and burrata” appetizer, which was fine. My companion had the chicken pesto pasta, which I tried and admit was not bad. The pesto was just a tad rich, and I do not think that I could finish a plate of it because of that. I had the squid ink Malfaldine pasta which tasted, well, just wrong. The description is: white shrimp, calamari, acqua pazza, mint, fennel pollen, calabrian chili. It was a mishmash of flavors and just not good, with the chili ruining the dish. On the plus side, however, the pasta itself seemed freshly homemade. I tried to then fill up on dessert, because I did not finish my unsavory Malfaldine pasta. I ordered the pistachio olive oil cake, which I am sorry to say was quite dry. The food on a whole was disappointing. I would not return for the food. Maybe for drinks, as the bar scene is quite nice—I did have a great red sangria that is worth mention. But there are far better restaurants in the Brickell area, particularly for Italian fare. Not really the hype it seemed to be from afar.

Great interior design and amazing food

By mlarrea12 |

North Italia is a great option for lunch or dinner, authentic italian with fresh ingredients. The meatballs are amazing and I recommend the truffle garlic bread as a starter. The see through kitchen is really nice. Totally recommended!

Average experience - sloppy meat board

By rupert m |

tried pizza/past and meat board the meat board was very sloppy, the meat look like a chunk had been pulled out of packet and was poorly presented pasta was good as was the pizza the staff were friendly as a whole, and the drinks were good reasonably priced and nice environment.

Great Private dining experience

By Rob T |

We booked the private room at North for my friend's birthday party. It was amazing- the room was beautiful, the service by Anthony and Jose was on point and the food was great. It is a room that I'm sure we be booking again for another event where we want to have an exclusive feel.

The hostess service is horrible!!!

By Pat R |

The food and service from the waiters is great! The hostess service is horrible!!! The hostess talk bad about guests and laugh at them! Not the type of welcoming restaurant. Might be my last visit!!!

Casual Sunday Brunch

By Lauren P. |

Visited North Italia for the first time to meet up with some friends for a Sunday brunch. We sat outside in their patio which was very nice and airy. My friend made a reservation ahead of time and we were seated right away. Their drinks were on point and very tasteful. We decided to order a few items and share among everyone. The meatball with the polenta wash very good, so was the Kale salad, and the Bruschetta. It’s a nice modern restaurant great for happy hour or catching up with friends.

Great Food, Atmosphere and Prices

By stefm731 |

With all the restaurants closing down in the Brickell Area, I was thrilled to see North Italia appear. It is a breath of fresh air. I went with the idea of just ordering a few appetizers and drinks but after the appetizers came out and were so delicious, we HAD to order dinner. First of all the appetizer (truffle cheese bread) was the best thing I have ever tasted and is a MUST! The cheese board was delicious and so were the meatballs and calamari. For dinner the Branzino and the Scallops were incredible. They killed it with the food. I tried everything from everyone at the table. The servers were friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was great. They have indoor/outdoor option which is always a plus. The happy hour prices and drinks are wonderful. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the Brickell/ Downtown Miami area. They will NOT disappoint. They also have a fabulous amount of space for meetings / events. I will definitely be hosting a company meeting here in the near future.

VERY GOOD FOOD AND FUN ATMOSPHERE IN BRICKELL, MIAMI

By saverguy |

My husband and I were walking around after 9 pm looking for a place for dinner. We had had lunch in our first choice. Passed several bar - restaurant places on Miami Avenue and nothing looked too appealing but when we got to North saw that outside seating was pretty full and inside as well. Looked like a lot of locals - not just tourists . Opted to sit inside and took a booth not bar from the bar. Very nice atmosphere. Husband had pasta with Bolognese which was very tasty. I had a pizza which was made very well and saw many other good looking pizzas being delivered. This is not a traditional Italian restaurant but has some traditional options. Enjoyed it all the way around and was very pleased with the choice.

Nobody even came to ask us what we wanted to drink

By diegoquast |

We arrived at 16:15 on Sunday, Feb 19th. The 3 of us hungry. Let’s eat some Italian food. The restaurant looks nice. We went in, the hostess took us to a table and there we waited for about 15 minutes. Nobody even can to ask us anything like “what would you like to drink”. We left. Period. And I suppose this is the kind of place where the waiters feel offended if you give them less than 18% as a tip... well, they don’t deserve 10%!

So so service

By Ma R |

Not impressed, the pasta came cold and soupy, they did exchange it but the whole experience was not great. Long time to service, will not be coming back

I'm not coming back

By Gilberto Galletta |

The place is more a bar than a restaurant, at least the night is like that! Gracious service, simple and Americanized food. Waiter brought Caesar Salad without chicken, we complained and the chicken arrived long after we had eaten. A frustrating experience!

I loved

By Jessilene |

Very nice restaurant, cosy, polite and helpful staff. Delicious and well served food. Excellent location, very badalado.

Yummy Italian Food but NOISY

By FairyGodmother2000 |

Italian food was delicious-- all clean plates at our table! Service was outstanding and attentive. BUT be prepared for a NOISY Miami restaurant. Difficult to have a conversation. Be sure to make reservations-- we noticed several parties turned away even at 5 pm because they did not have reservations. Outside patio is dog-friendly.

Not worth to lose your time

By A A |

At this location you wait 30 minutes to receive a bottle of wine while the waitress is ignoring you to take your food order meanwhile

NORTH ITALIA HARASSES BLACK PEOPLE!

By Sabena G |

North Italia targets and harasses black people! I own a large sports managing firm here in Miami and have been bringing my clients and athletes to North Italia for years. Today, the general manager, Jennifer Whinney approached my table while we were having a quiet business meeting and wrongly accused us of catcalling to women on the street. We're grown men with multi-million dollar businesses and families and are in our 40's. We do not behave that way, but this rude woman decided to take her frustrations out on us and went on about her being a woman and feeling disrespected sometimes. That's disheartening to hear, but what does that have to do with my party or myself? Is this type of unprofessional behavior reflective of the North Italia brand? If so, do not support this establishment. The North Italia brand is racist! If not, that manager should be fired for racially profiling black entrepreneurs. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Consider doing the same.

Nice Vibe

We tried to get in a couple of times and finally hit it. Well worth the wait. The atmosphere was exciting a d the food was even better. Empress your friends with this new, reasonably priced, Brickell hot spot.

Food we ordered from menu

By Terri S |

Food we ordered from menu came out completely different. Waiter explained that they changed the food but didn’t update on the menu. It took them 25 minutes to give us the correct food and still charged us regular price. Manager never came over and instead took care of “her friends” tables. Felt terrible for our server as they were completely understaffed for waiters but had a lot of “managers” walking around. Not worth the price when so many other restaurants around.

Gréât atmosphere and service and good food

By KatieC587 |

Lovely place Great atmosphere Good food Good choice of drinks Went there twice and would go back again. Gerald the waiter is great!

Lunch

By Patrick Regan |

Extremely slow service. Multiple wait staff walked by. Never acknowledged me. After 15 minutes of waiting the management blamed me for sitting down at a table.

Fabulous Restaurant!

By mom2brady |

We walked to this restaurant from our hotel and could not have been more pleased! The food was amazing and the service was exceptional! They make all of their own pastas in house daily and we could certainly taste the difference. I highly recommend the chicken parmigiana and the Bolognese.

Good food but nothing special

By Bob C |

Due to the virus and restrictions on overseas travel, I have been staying in the Brickell area a few months. In Miami restaurants are Currently limited to take out and Outdoor seating with restrictions. I have been to North Italian a few times for lunch and dinner in the last 2 months, as I try to support local merchants that are open. I think the virus restrictions has likely impacted the service and dining experience at most restaurants, so under normal circumstances the review may be better. Overall I found it to be be a good restaurant, though nothing special. The service is okay but a bit slow. The outdoor seating is right on a busy South Miami blvd so a lot of foot and car traffic. The food was pretty good, but I’ve had much better. The menu is good, has a nice selection of apps, salads, main courses with a pretty good wine list. The prices in my opinion are a bit high for the quality but Brickell is a popular area. I would return since I’m staying in the neighborhood but wouldn’t consider it a destination restaurant.

Great Spot for Sunday Brunch

By Monalisa43 |

Modern atmosphere with creatively unique menu offerings and efficient service. I most especially enjoyed the short rib hash off of the Sunday brunch menu with a perfectly blended Aperol Spritz. My five year old niece was thrilled with her pasta and apple juice #yummy

one of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten

By Ronnie Dissentshik |

The place creates some sort of excitement with its indoor out door sitting which why we have decided to have dinner there to begin with. The 5$ bread was so good and unique that we seriously considered ordering it as desert as well. Grilled cauliflower was another delight starter. The Salmon was great but more so whatever it was that came with it (pesto farro, caramelized cauliflower, broccolini, lemon gremolata, saba). Continuing with another dish that is not suppossed to be surprising-pastas BOLOGNESE-and you will be surprised how good this one turned out to be. Tiramisu, first class espresso and a couple of great Italian wines sealed the deal. Needless to say the service was perfect.

Excellent food, awful service.

By Beth O |

Really enjoyed the food here and thought it was reasonably priced. I had arancini to start and tortellini for a main which were both delicious. The service let the food down. All of our meals (starters and mains) arrived at once, we were given a bill and were not offered dessert as the restaurant was closing and two drinks were included on our bill in error which took ages to resolve and the waiter was not very responsive or apologetic.

Good Food

By Linda R |

This was the second time that we visited North in Miami. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect for family dinners or evening a date.

Pleasant restaurant in Downtown

By martiner23 |

Large Italian restaurant in the heart of Downtown with a terrace. The only dishes taken were pizzas whose dough was a little greasy. Impeccable service

Really busy.

By Adry traveler |

Really busy place, combination of front bar and restaurant, food no bad, some small mistakes by the personal, anyway acceptable. I don’t understand why the pizza arrived with non-stick paper.....

Wonderful Experience

By GWM160 |

This is a well-designed restaurant. The interior design is very cool. It is also very spacious. There was plenty of room between tables, so while super busy, it doesn't feel crowded. The simple salad was outstanding. Pizza very good, and the salmon was fresh and cooked as I requested. The server was excellent. The crowd and staff all could have been plucked from a fashion magazine. Great spot.

Very good.

By Lucas Pereira |

The pizza is delicious and well served, the pasta reasonable size. However, the restaurant did not stand out for us. It is a satisfactory option with reasonable prices, good dish options and convenient location. We had an unsatisfactory service experience, which seems to have been an isolated case.

Shame it ruined our night

By Mark N |

Not the best experience - although menu offers gluten free, it wasn't quite so - and vegan options seemed to be just a foreign concept. The starters arrived 1.5 hours after we sat down, and we had to send them back as they were wrong (one an allergy error). Main courses were poor - pizza and chicken were burnt and other pizza (and replacement pizza) were extremely greasy. Manager apologised and offered the food for free - but then did a runner and left. Then we were billed in full. Attitude of management was very poor. Waiter was nice and tried hard but up against poor kitchen staff and management. Would not return or recommend.

Pasta and more!

By Blyn |

This was a great find while in Miami. Food was excellent with many gluten free options. We ordered take out and servings were very generous! Spicy vodka does have a kick.

Amazing service and food!

By Fabiana |

We had a birthday dinner at North Itália Miami in October 18th and we were absolutely delighted. The place is fabulous, the food delicious but what was really amazing was the service. Congratulations Victoria! Your kindness and solicitude should really be recognized. They are really lucky to have such a professional working there.

Poor experience

By Rutalsur |

I didn't need to have dinner since the receptionist offered me the worst table and told me that it was the only one available, when there were some others free tables. He also told me that in 10 minutes they would close when it was 9:40 p.m. Thank you, I will not try again.

Good Italian

By fs4569 |

Miami's Brickell Avenue area is overwhelming with the big buildings but this gem is tucked away a few blocks west. North Italia is a burgeoning chain and offers a good menu of Italian fare, a reasonable wine selection and plenty of space. It's not too pricey (certainly not as expensive as the high-end places on Brickell) but parking is a challenge, so use the $15 valet and be happy it's there.

A Hangry Dinner

By dmh1991 |

Italian night. After a long day of travel. We all were a little hangry. Decided on pasta this place was a 10 walk from our hotel. We did not have reservations so the list for dining inside was 15, outside was 30. Not bad for a Friday night. We decided on two appetizers. Calamari, and Zucc chips. Calamari was super fresh and fantastic. The chips were a little different, they’re very thin cut. They were a little bland however, once we added ranch dressing to them, they improved a lot, had two simple salads, everything was very fresh on the salad. House dressing that came with it was great. Two of us ordered spaghetti and meatball, one was a child portion. The difference between the adult and child portion, was one meatball child’s came with two adults three the bowl for the pasta was the same. Pasta is freshly made thick and hearty. We also got just a plain cheese pizza with it and that also was very good. atmosphere was busy, background music was set at the perfect level, not too loud not too soft. Our server was very good. He was just attentive enough where he wasn’t bothersome. We would definitely go back.

Happy Hour is a must!

By Daisy |

I was in desperate need for a happy hour after work. My girls and I decided to head to North and we were incredibly impressed. Parking sucks, but there is a garage nearby. I got really lucky where a car was leaving when I made my 3rd trip around the block. I got there around 4:45 pm and was able to score a table outside for me and my girlfriends. Our server was very attentive and was great about warning us about the happy hour ending. The food was absolutely delicious. I recommend the prosciutto bruschetta and Bianca pizza (on the HH menu). --both were amazing! Plus the presentation was incredible, also, super cool vibes outside (despite the construction)... I will definitely come back!

Great Food and Vibe

By bellabella59 |

New restaurant in Mary Brickell village. Have had many dishes - all delicious except for the Bolognese which 6 of us voted to avoid. We ordered quite few dishes to share for the table so we were able to experience many of the offerings. Have returned several times.

Average Italian

By Paul |

North is a very cool space, with nice outdoor seating, good social distancing. The service was very good, perhaps a little "cheesy" but that was the serves manners! However he did do a fine job and was pleasant. Menu is varied... I would say the "sharing" items are small... we shared a Heirloom Tomato and Burrata which was decent, crispy croutons per menu, we actually soggy! but flavor was decent. An arugula avocado salad was very very small ! and if anyone orders that for an entre, even if they added protein, they had better be on a diet! again, flavor good, portion tiny! main course I had the chicken pesto, which had great flavor, but is a mass of green! seems even the chicken was doused in pesto, i like pesto! so for me, fine... but pretty powerful! My friends had Bolognese, which tasted fine.. definitely not a slow cooked affair, it had no depth top it.... I love an Italian Bolognese made and allowed to reduce and get great flavor.. this seemed like a quick made affair. No parmesan cheese was offered, which I feel is always nice at an Italian! Overall it was a totally "fine" meal, nothing to write home about, but cool space, and an OK option!

Needs to improve

By mikelan6 |

My family and I had lunch here. I liked the ambience. The food was fresh and tasty, but there could have been more variety on the menu. A few in my family had allergies and they tried their best to accommodate us. The server did not know the menu ingredients well and the service left much to be desired.
