This is one of downtown Miami's little gems (no so little). The place has it all. Good food, speciality cocktails The reason it gets 4 and not five is because the service can use some energy. (Insert shameless RedBull plug). I've eaten here for lunch, dinner, and been to the happy hours. The waiters I assume tend to be busy and forget about tables. I've waited 16min once before I got water and placed my drink order. The silver lining is this is an easy fix and doesn't fully take away from all the positives this place offers. As for the ambiance think delightfully chosen artistic pieces around the restaurant to complement the open Asian style and seafood market. Big windows and open space to allow for some intimacy. Now food! For starters I've had the shishito peppers, the spicy edamame, and brussel sprouts, crispy pork Bao Buns, and crispy pork. All of which I would recommend. Pro Tip: unless on a fixed menu the items come to order and are more shareable portions. Pro Pro Tip: experience the preset executive lunch menu. For lunch/dinner I've had the Salmon Miso Truffle Maki, Salmon Toro, king crab spring rolls, shao shao chicken, wagyu skirt steak, beef fried rice, and bang bang broccoli. You might think that's a lot but Novikov's menu is extensive and I have a long way to go. But from the list about I highlight recommend them all. You get a great balance of flavor, spice, heat, and goodness. I'll be back! #Yesvikov

Do not waste your money and time

By FC111 |

What a disappointment from the beginning. We were running late and called to inform that we will arrive 10-15 min late. Hostess on the phone said that they hold a table to 15 min an after that we have to wait at the bar for the next available table! Absurd! We came 15 min late and restaurant was 1/3 full on Friday night around 7pm. Inside it looks like upscale diner (compare to the "same" class of Buddakan in NYC ). Our first 3 choices from the Manu was NOT available! Again, on Friday night! After 10 min. waiter's helper brought the wrong entrees to our table and waitress had to be called to resolve this. The food was very average as a tableware. The restaurant has no class, no atmosphere, no charm, NOTHING! Unless you are extremely curious person, spend your money and time somewhere else! Did I mentioned $20 valley fee!

Novikov is full of flare and Joy!

By JimmyjoeLima |

I must say upfront that the Japanese cuisine is my favorite of all. Someone once said that if the Top 50 Best Restaurants list were to be truly honest they would have to put 50 restaurants from Japan. Well Novikov is not on the top 50 Best list but having tried many of that list I can tell the food experience is quite close to those on the list. The place is just very noisy as it has a very dynamic ambiance with a Chill out DJ. But I will definitely come back just because the food is nothing but outstanding. The list is wide and you have to be very precise on the selection. Here is mine (party of 6): The toro tartar topped with caviar and gold is the right way to start. Fresh, sutil and flavorful is silky on mouth and a really special texture. For those new to Toro Tuna, you’ll be touched for life. Toro is just the best treat you can get when eating Japanese. The nigiris have the rice at body temperature and the freshness is unbeatable. o toro, chi toro, salmon toro, hamachi among others The gigantic river shrimp come with a nutty and curry sauce (pricy) But the winner is the Alaskan King leg with a creamy sauce Desserts are also nice see pictures attached Super pricy!! But worth Enjoy!!

Disappointing

By Detsaw |

After hearing so much about this location, and previously enjoying the London location, I was very excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, every dish fell far short of the reputation. - truffle hamachi- tasted like pure passion fruit - shrimp moneybags - best thing we had - king crab - too saucy - sushi - no flavor - lobster tempura - good, but hard to mess that up - duck salad - too sweet - cocktails all too weak and sweet Each dish seemed worse than the last and I continued to order in the hopes that it was one miscue in the kitchen. 2 stars for the view and dining room which are excellent.

Pure deliciousness!!!

By EmilyMarquez |

Went during the week for the business lunch and just loved the look, the feel, the service and absolutely the good! For $23, this is a win-win! The miso soup was yum, and then the shrimp and cilantro dim sum, followed by a grilled branzino ... wow! For dessert, a lychee panecotta ... to die for. And, the Whispering Angel wine was on special!!!

good food , VERY EXPENSIVE

By Fusion-X |

We had a nice evening and the food is original and excellent. HOWEVER the prices are ridiculous. Really. Even for Miami standards. A glass cocktail for 20 US dollars. Not to mention the food prices. Please visit their site first, look at the menu and prices and see if this is suitable for you.

Rushed

By rgonza7748 |

Food is very good, but the experience overall is rushed. People hovering around to over service your table !!! They try to coerce you to order to get you out of there ASAP. Have been there 3 times, and the same results every time. Our friend also had their Mercedes stolen from the Valet at Novikov. Ended up on South Beach.

Great drinks and location

By TheSalesGuy |

Stopped by here for dinner while in town for business at the recommendation of a potential client, and liked the energy and location. The service was very good, and sushi was delightful. I would stop in again on a weekend for a date night.

Went for lunch and order from

Went for lunch and order from their business lunch menu for $29, good items to choose from and also the $23 bottle of rose wine is the way to go!

One of a kind restaurant

By Tammie B |

We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at Novikov the night before we departed for a cruise. My husband had selected this restaurant because it had good reviews was within walking distance of our hotel and offered a variety of sushi and other creative dishes. We had requested a Terrace, but the patio was closed because of the weather. However, they sat us right next to the window and we had a gorgeous view of the bay. The server started out by offering us different types of water, followed by the night specials. We had looked at the menu before we went to dinner and ended up ordering more specials because everything sounded so delicious. We also enjoyed a nice bottle of red wine that the server helped to pair with the dishes that we had chosen to eat. The food was paced out nicely, and no point did we feel rushed. As each dish was brought out the server or food runner Described the dish, offered refills on our drinks and was very attentive and anticipated our every need. Everything that we ordered was delicious. This restaurant also had an in-house DJ, which was a very cool experience and played a nice mix of dinner, music and good energy.

Love it

Love the atmosphere and food in Novikov. Service is great too. Went for a dinner with my couple. We enjoyed the music and overall atmosphere a lot.

Amazing food and even better service

By Saira M |

I am from London and ofcourse am familiar with your London location though we reside in NY where I myself am a chef. The Miami location is wonderful with compliments to their culinary team. I would like to highlight one of their staff members who made this a particularly outstanding experience. His name is Michael. Being in the food and hospitality industry myself, it was refreshing to encounter someone so hospitable, knowledgeable with a very welcomed point of view. He understood us and was in complete alignment with his every suggestion. I would say that in some ways, his level of service and attention to detail is quite unparallelled.  We were in Miami on Saturday celebrating something very special and Michael really made the experience all the more memorable.

Great quality food and great variety

Maki and dim sum have been amazing. Can’t resist to order a grilled gigantic prawn with truffle oil and it was worth it!

Best Novikov experience

By Yosefina |

Ive been to Novikov in London 2 times but nothing beats this one in Miami. Maybe because our dear server, Angel, who gave us excellent service, advised us to taste the best plates. He recommended the sashimi and nigiri mix plates which was good. But the king crab leg and the cod with the ginger bok choi paired with steamed rice. Just w o w. My taste buds went for an oriental ride. So incredibly tasty and good. Angel also recommended us to try a japanese digestive, it was purple in color and tasted very light and sweet. Ume, a japanese plum. We finished off with a lava chocolate cake that came with a ginger ice cream and a lemongrass crème brûlée. And if it wasnt for Angel’s insistent and detailed explainations about to try the decorating fruit we would never have tried them and had that first satisfying taste moment. This whole experience was gastronomic. Will return for sure. Absolutely recommend.

No need to pick one from column A or B or C

By Pete B |

Unlike some Asian restaurant menus with a hodgepodge of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes arranged on pages of small print, the choices were limited, but well-chosen. I ate here with a group of six other business colleagues, and every single dish I tried, whether it was the chicken dim sum, the wok mushroom with seafood sauce, the sweet and sour mango chicken, the calamari, or the (Asian?) bread pudding desert was top notch. This place is certainly not cheap, and you might need to ask questions about the menu items to figure out what they are, but the ambiance and food quality get top marks. For most of us, this is a restaurant we might save as a treat for a special occasion and not somewhere most of us could afford to visit every week. I recommend it as a pleasant dining experience - even if you don't have enough space left to try the sushi (next time).

Mixed Feelings

By Juan Pablo V |

i do like Dim Sum, very much. i was exited to try this place. the setting is nice, and the food is ok. presentation wise, no complaints, its also creative but, lacking flavour sadly. sunday brunch has potential, might need to review pricing =P im still looking for a decent Dim Sum place in Miami, if you got any recomedations, please share!

Food *, service 0*

By Felicia D |

I’d have gladly given my rating a 5 for the food alone, which was outstanding! I overate because it was so delicious. I had a spicy tuna roll, dim sum of mushrooms and also dim sum of shrimp and cilantro. Service by Michael was nonexistent. He didn’t bring the food, which was no biggie, but he never checked back on me, I wanted a second glass of wine which he never asked about, I had to ask someone else for my check. But I suppose there was no incentive for him to give me any acknowledgement because, to my surprise, 20% tip was automatically added in. That may appear somewhere, but I didn’t see it. I understand automatic gratuities on large parties….but a solo diner?? I wouldn’t have even objected except he didn’t really do anything to deserve 1%…. I would not have stiffed him, but I darn sure wouldn’t have given him 20%!!!! That being said, there are 2 other nice restaurants on this street and the food was so delicious, I’d have returned, but because service was so awful, I will never return.

Good atmosphere: trendy as in London

By Javier006 |

We walked in without a reservation and we were well received. First time for us in Miami, but many times in Mayfair, especially in their italian restaurant. Good atmosphere and good service with a wide menu of small japanese dishes. Definitely worth the visit!

Mal restaurante

By Fernando |

It makes no sense to book in advance. We arrived on time, and we were told to wait at least 25 minutes, but it was 45 minutes. Before that, we make the decision to go to the El Gabbiano in front and have dinner there.

Consistently Excellent

By juandehur |

I'm really not sure how they do it. The food is consistently excellent, the service is quick, efficient and pleasant and the atmosphere is fun and vibrant. A great mix of clean Asian fusion and Japanese with a touch of Chinese. I have been 6 times and have yet to be disappointed; and they honor their reservations on time (which is a miracle into itself as the place is always packed and there are always people without reservations waiting for a table).

Howard’s Novikov Visit

By Howard Llewellyn |

Went with a group of six on a Thursday night. They have a DJ playing Thursday,Friday and Saturday nights and it is very loud, but the crowd is on the younger side and the atmosphere was very hip. The waiter explained the menu very well , as it’s a Japanese Fusion mix, with a strong emphasis on seafood. We asked for a selection of various dishes served as sharing plates for us all. We had Sashimi, King Crab, Sea Urchin, Sea Bream, Peking Duck & much more, all of which was amazing. The desserts were served on a wooden spinning tray with dry ice and were stunning. Well worth a visit if you are in Miami but will make a bent in your credit card.

Good food, rude people

By TheFunFoodie |

8 of us went to dinner here on New Year’s Eve. Our server was nice and under a lot of pressure so we understood when he couldn’t get to our table for the first 30 minutes. After all it was NYE. We finally ordered drinks then appetizers and then he came to our table and told us it was LAST CALL for dinner and the dinning room MUST be cleared for the next seating?! What? So we asked to see a manager. The manager said he had a full house coming at the next seating and we had to leave. What?! Our server just kept bringing our food and we just kept sitting there eating our dinner. Weird thing, no one showed up for their second seating! There was 1 table with a couple at it and then our table. The rest of the place was empty. So they tried to take our $1700 and ruin our night for no reason. Thanks a ton.

DJ, Good Food, Service and Vib

By Antionio10 |

This restaurant is surprising good for its size and mixture of Asian dishes. Service is efficient and helpful. The menu is extensive, with about 80 percent fish. Among the non fish dishes were the mushroom and chicken crispy roles, the saffron sweet corn dim sum dumplings delicious but though a bit cold in the center -- and a crispy pork bao bun. Fish items included a beautiful black cod and a nice soft shell crab bao bun. The Lemon grass Creme Brulee was good too. Dinks were good too, as was the Martini and Japanese Moscow Mule. The meal was expensive -- $234 for two tip included. We ordered one dissert and two drinks. The restaurant was packed and no covid rules were observed.

Great food and service!

By Mariela J |

I had an amazing dining experience at Novikov. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. The service was impeccable, thanks to our server, Jean, who was very attentive and knowledgeable, making our meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Good dumplings/dim sum

By nycnyuguy |

Novikov is a really nice looking restaurant and if you've been to Moscow (at the Ritz Carlton near Red Square) then it might look familiar. The same good food there has been replicated with success in Miami. Our server was excellent and seemed genuinely concerned about the food and making sure dining here was enjoyable. The brunch menu is downright cheap and makes for one of the best deals in the Miami area. They could almost double the price and it would still be a good deal. My friend and I liked everything we had and factoring in the price everything was excellent. Its hard to get good dumplings in South Florida and I have really tried so I was surprised this "asian fusion" restaurant had such good shrimp dumplings. Even the desserts were good and keeping with the brunch price theme - they were also inexpensive but really good.

100/100

By JSuth2000 |

I am pumped to write up this review because Novikov just nailed it. We had a party of 8 and they first came to our rescue by giving us the private dining area last minute due to a botched rezzie at another place. They were very upfront and gave us a 2 hour limit due to another commitment and we gladly obliged. Service was tip top and staff was very accomodating. The food was excellent, we had a variety of dishes and went through the menu from sushi, to dim sum, peking duck (OMG), king crab(A MUST), truffled sashimi, black cod, etc.. The menu was off the charts and everything was so freaking good. We would up getting about 12 different dishes and passed around the table and then had three different desserts to close. Mixed drinks were awesome and had some sake to wash it down. When our time was up we came out to a packed house with some beats bumping and you can really tell this place pops off and does it right. Cant wait to go back with some more out of town guests because this is what Miami is all about. I also heard the brunch is out of this world so I'll be trying that next.

Best Restaurant & Service in Miami

By Mia S |

We loved this place! The food, the service by Jean, the wasabi cocktail - hands down the best we’ve had this trip. We just happened to mention that we were hungry to our waiter Jean, and he made sure the food was out as soon as possible. Amazing!

Delicious Sushi and Chinese food, highest quality

By Manda Bear |

Delicious Sushi and Chinese food, highest quality, good wine list, tasty cocktails, such a happening spot in Brickell Miami, by the water! Live DJ on the weekends, our 17 visits here in the last 12 months!

I highly recommend this restaurant.

By David P |

Outstanding food and service. We really enjoyed a great meal. In particular, they served a gigantic tiger prawn split and cut into succulent bites with a delicious sauce. We tried several dim sum appetizers which were on point. The hot and sour soup was the best I’ve ever tasted. I was too full to order dessert so I look forward to that on my next visit. Super friendly and attentive service.

Best !!!

By John M |

I went with my friends to the Novikov restaurant downtown Miami, I think today this is the best restaurant in terms of food and atmosphere in Miami, I recommend everyone to visit this place, they play great music, the service is excellent, we will definitely come back, thank you very much !!!

Amazing interior architecture. Very good food and amazing service. For sure a recommendation when you visit Miami.

Very Good Dinner

By Mark P |

This is a large sushi and seafood restaurant in downtown Miami. It is fairly loud, but otherwise offers good food, drinks and service. On balance, I was pleased.

One of Miami’s Best

By Hector P |

Great decor and food, very eclectic and modern menu and the fastest kitchen service I had ever experienced. Lounge loud music after 10:00 pm a place to hang out for Miami’s socialite, luxury cars out front and nicely dress people.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

By Maria R |

What a great lunch, starting with the ambience, service and of course, the food. The presentation was exquisite! Strongly recommend this for lunch, dinner, or even drinks! They also offer brunch on Sunday. A must try! The guava cheesecake was amazing!

Not even Close

By vincybie |

We went to Zuma on a lovely Sunday afternoon, unfortunately by the time we got there, we were told that they were closed for taking orders at 14:45...so no choice we walked to another option which I have read reviews about the place... So so feedbacks from diners.... We afraid there's not much option during that hour so we decided to give it a try... Novikov do not serve ala carte on Sunday, we had no choice but to choose either one of their champagne brunch buffet selection ..... 😅😅😅 Not worth it when we couldn't really enjoy anything with alcohol after a crazy Saturday night...🤪🤪🤪 Just like Zuma Sunday brunch, they served Asian fusion which was somewhat not authentic, not even close. The mince pork of the "premium" dim sum fell all over the plate once you picked it up from the dim sum basket. The mushroom dashi was overcooked and salty; the Brussels sprouts and Crispy pork was over done as well, more like an overnight dish; the king crab truffles soup was starchy and thick!! The test of all good Asian restaurants is the fried rice yet they failed... .errrr.... Enough with remembering a not so pleasant Sunday brunch we had on our final day in Amazing Miami.. 😂😂😂

Great Atmosphere

By maddy |

Our hotel made us a reservation at Novikov while staying in Miami. We walked in to a fun atmosphere with a DJ and loud music. The restaurant was pretty crowded inside especially for COVID, but nothing seemed too out of the ordinary besides the amazing ambiance and people. We sat outside and the service was great. The pork buns were a must order. The sushi was not anything special but it was an amazing experience with even better food. I would 100% recommend going here with friends, family, or even on a date if you are looking for good food and a lively atmosphere. Just make sure to make a reservation.

Absolute deliciousness!

By adammait |

In addition to the food being beyond delicious, top-notch, and spectacular, the service was impeccable. Our servers Francisco, Adrian, Luis, Janet and Hugh really made us feel special. They took time to explain each dish and made sure we had everything we needed, wanted, and more. Definitely recommend this place !

Average

By John D |

Honestly food was very very average. Service was below average, every time we needed the waitress she was no where to find or she was acting like she doesn’t see us. She took forever to bring all the meals one after each other. She took about 30 min or more i am not exaggerating to bring our dessert which was ICE CREAM. And actually she didn’t end up bringing it because we paid the bill without even getting it as we got tired of all that waiting and bad customer service. But of course she could care less since the 20% service charge was already included lol

Fantastic fine dining delicious creativity with Japanese n Chinese food

By Bernard P |

Creative twist in Japanese n Chinese food. Deliciously good but expensive. Fantastic experience in Asian fine dining. A once in a lifetime experience in downtown Miami near Bayside n Hotel Intercontinental.

Disappointed

By sam B |

It was a big disappointment, I heard lot of good things about this restaurant but was very surprised. Beautiful decorations great location and excellent service but food quality Was below average, drinks and food very pricey

Cool, trendy and expensive Asian food

By Josue B |

As another reviewer said, if you like Zuma, Hakkasan and Mokoto you will probably love this eclectic and expensive place, with impeccable service and delicious food. We ordered several dishes but by far the Hamashi carpaccio with shaved truffles and the o-toro sashimi were by far the best starters. Peking duck and the black cod robata were really good. I personally didn’t like that much the salmon toro and the king crab honey truffle. The lobster and especially the shrimp and cilantro dim sum were OK. Sake was good and expensive. And the passion fruit dessert was excellent. All in all for USD 200 per person.

Best Restaurant in Miami!!!

By Eddy |

Great Service and food,,Luis the manager is amazing, he is the reason I keep coming back !!!,staff is fantastic!

The worst!!!!

By Eddy |

Had indoor reservations,,confirmed!,arrive to 4 hostess, they rudely tell me my reservation is out side ,and if I wanted to sit inside it would be over an hour wait ,I asked why so long ,the restaurant is empty, very rudely she says there fully committed, I honestly don't know how this place stays in business treating guest so poorly, and the food is good but nothing special

Excellent food and Service!!

By Camilo Salazar |

Excellent food and Service!! It takes a little bit (20 mins) to be seated. The music Could be better.

Amazing. 5 star from start to finish

By miamichefmichael |

Really wanted to go to Novikov in Moscow last summer so for my birthday decided to try Miami location. Very cool atmosphere. Well trained staff and constantly managed by to roving floor managers. Cocktails were masterful. Smoky passion fruit drink with a seared jalapeño. A Sazernac made with rye and an absinthe rinse in the glass. Absolutely delicious. We ordered 6 dishes and only one of them was average: the crispy black cod roll. Interesting crunch but it overpowered the black cod and you couldn’t identify the fish. It could have been flounder or any other fish. The mango sauce was flavorful and we ate it all, but it wasn’t great. Now that’s out of the way, the rest of the meal was 5 star all the way to the end. Toro tartar with black caviar topped with golden leaf and served with rice cakes. Dim sum money bags stuffed with grilled prawns. A dumpling of the most delicate noodle stuffed with seared Wagyu and topped with fois gras and a seared soy glaze. Peking duck. And a grilled king crab leg topped with honey truffle butter. Ridiculous. Dessert was a passion fruit white chocolate ice cream which didn’t taste like white chocolate but the merange was great. I will be back and am telling everyone they have to go. 5 star in Miami is rare to be honest. This one has got it.

Best among Novikov group

The most delicious restaurant! The desserts are amazing! Excellent service! And the Green Margarita cocktail with vodka inspires you to great deeds!

Dinner

Good service. Food average, food was heavy and salty. Presentation is good. The servant was great. Managment average. One time dining place. I wouldn’t go there again.

One of the best Sundaybrunches in Miami!

By Shawn F |

From the second I walked in until the moment I left, the staff were attentive and courteous. The food was excellent and the service was FAST- I had to tell them to slow down so I could take it all in. One of the best brunches I’ve had anywhere!

GREAT SUNDAY BRUNCH

By Naddia's Favorites |

This has become one of my favorite Sunday brunch places, apart from a la carte menu they have the DIM SUM BRUNCH for $ 23 which is an incredible deal, they also have a Business Lunch deal during the week for the same price but I have not tried that one, still, incredible value. Last Sunday I had the Hot & Sour King Crab soup, really tasty, then, as we were 4 of us, we had one each of the Dim Sums, my favorite was the Wagyu & Kimichi and for our main one had Grilled Branzino but the rest the amazing Crispy Peking Duck, I just love it ! To finish our lunch we shared a Ginger Crème Brulee and a Guava Cheesecake, really delicious. And, I am not finished yet raving about this place, on top of the food being really good and a great value, they also have specials on wine, $23 for a bottle of rose’ but, we opted for a bottle of Louis Roederer Champagne for $40 !!!! This is the place to go, if you have not tried it, you definitely should @Novikovmiami For more of my favorite restaurants and places follow me on my Facebook page Naddia’s Favorites or on Instagram @naddias_favorites

Good Food/Horrible Service

By FPAdventurer |

The food was very good, but the service was very slow and disorganized. The place looks like a wanna be Zuma with similar food. The crowd is also a very strange mix. Hopefully they can improve the service.

Great night with friends

By awningsman |

4 of us went to Novikov just before New Years'. We loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. Everything we tried was fresh, the presentation was fantastic. The service was excellent. Our waiter recommended several menu items including dim sum ponzu lobster and spicy prawn moneybags, king crab avocado salad, ultimate spicy tuna maki. In addition, we had sashimi selection, several maki rolls and branzino fish with vegetables. They also make great cocktails. Everyone enjoyed the evening and the food.

Loved it!

By NelCalifornai |

We really, really, enjoyed eating here. Fun and beautiful ambiance. The food was extraordinary and the cocktails were wonderful. A bit disappointed that they wanted to give us a bad table when we had made reservations and they had better tables available. We refused and the gave us a decent table.

A rare combination of good japanse and Chinese food

By carlosdieppa |

We went to Novikov for the sushi and it did not dissapoint with good combinations and fresh fish, a surprisew was the Pekiing Duck well prepared and presented. Good ambience in this happening spot, more a special occasion place.

Rip Off - Loud - Expensive

By Den |

All the bad things Miami is known for in one place...expensive, loud, bad/rude service and average food.

Great group dinner!

By Coco |

Came here with a group of my girlfriends and had a great dinner! Split the spicy edamame, cucumber tataki, ultimate spicy roll, and various dim sum. Star of our dinner was the Singapore noodles; they were AMAZING. Good atmosphere and vibe overall. Spacious restaurant. Would recommend and would definitely come back.

Big room for improvement.

By Sergei Kim |

Good located, spacious and nice venue. NOVIKOV standard, looks similar to London and Moscow ones but the food market is much smaller. It feels that the place has a big potential. The quality of products and food is really good, I say excellent. The wine list is not very wide. I asked for some kind of Sake - they told me it was finished, I chose another one - finished again. Very pricey even for such sort of a restaurant. The service is the weakest thing. We got starting cocktails and the soup together, he forgot about some food we ordered, it took quite a while to get a glass of wine or beer.

A Miami Favorite

By Niah |

Located on the corner in downtown Miami that overlooks the water, Novikov is a VIBE! The atmosphere is relaxed with upscale energy. The service is great and the food is a compliment of that. We ordered the King Crab Honey Truffle, Vegetable Tempura, and the Black Truffle Dim Sum. All items were delicious, but the crab was my favorite.

Worst experience of my life

By Pp |

I am so disappointed by this restaurant the manager is so unprofessional. She really doesn’t understand that business is all about customer service and how you treat people. I have never in my life visited a restaurant that had such a bad customer service it was awful the worst experience of my life and I have visited this restaurant in other parts of the world like London and Dubai but here is the worst please change management

Amazingly fabulous

By Monalisa43 |

Amazing atmosphere, service and food ! It’s definitely a n amazingly fabulous spot to have a red carpet dining experience.

Food was delicious, ambiance is fabulous, and service is excellent and attentive!

By Joe C |

We originally made a reservation at Zuma for my birthday but canceled it after all the negative reviews regarding their services, the 2-hour limit policy and most importantly, will not make any special arrangement for special occasion. We don’t wanna be rushed though a dinner or forced to move while we’re still dining. We’re so glad that we found and switched to Novikov. The ambiance was fabulous, trendy bar scene with loud music, which is the hype in Miami. All of the dishes, from appetizers to desserts, we ordered were amazingly delicious! We were a little skeptical at first since we know what authentic Chinese and Japanese dishes are. But Novikov didn’t disappoint us at all! Not only the food was delicious, the presentation was marvelous! The portions were decent, not tiny like many other high-end places. The service was excellent, even the assistants (bus boys/girls) were attentive! A special shout out to Amelia, who should be promoted to a waitress! Amelia was super attentive; we felt that she was much better than our waitress! Though our waitress was very nice but she wasn’t that smart. We ordered appetizers from both Japanese and Chinese kitchen and all came out at the same time! Our table suddenly filled with food, which shouldn’t be the way to serve in a high-end restaurant. Amelia noticed it immediately and apologized, then immediately requested a hold on the rest of the dishes. But we observed that wasn’t the case with other tables, where they were served one dish at a time. Amelia explained that it’s because we ordered from both kitchen plus raw oysters, which was being prepared from a 3rd kitchen. So, please be sure to alert your waiter / waitress, or order your dishes one round at a time. We were there since 7:00 pm and the place was packed after 8:30 pm. We didn’t have our dessert until after 9, but they didn’t rush us or other tables nearby. They even brought out the dessert with a candle lite, wrote a giant “Happy Birthday” on the plate, and sang the HB song! We will definitely visit again!

Great Peking Duck and lunch menu

By Naddia's Favorites |

Novikov is one of my old time favorites, I really love it here during Miami Spice or not, they have a Lunch option for Miami Spice which is really the same as their everyday Business Lunch, so you can enjoy it all year round and not just during Miami Spice, it is really a 4 course because first you have a choice between Miso Soup and Cucumber Tataki on top of the 3 course you see on the online menu. We had the Miso Soup, the Cucumber Tataki, the Spicy Salmon Maki and as our entrée we all had the Crispy Peking Duck, we especially come for this dish which we all really love, to finish you have ice cream or sorbet. All of this with a lovely bottle of white Sancerre 🥂 The ambiance is really lovely and like I said it is one of our old time favorites so try it out and let me know what you think @novikovmiami For more of my favorite restaurants, places and more, like my Facebook page Naddia’s Favorites or follow me on Instagram @naddias_favorites

Novikov Miami

By Onur55 |

The sushi is very good and the nigerian is very good. Good price performance The welcome is nice, but the place is quiet in service, but it feels like a Latin vibe of slowness.

Dinner

By alfredo327 |

The food was decent, the service was very slow, I know that when you go solo sometimes you get ignore but this place took the next level, sorry but I don’t recommend it specially if you are by yourself...

Wonderful but overrated

By dianamna |

Extremely pleasant outing but overrated. The sushi is top so is the dim sum but the rolls not so much. DO NOT add caviar to the roll it’s not worth it, not the good stuff. The ribeye is very good but then again not worth the price. Overall you will have a great time.

Extraordinary dining experience

By nancy |

Definitely my favorite restaurant in the city. Upon entering Novikov Miami, you will immediately be transported to a world where modern sophistication meets timeless elegance. The elegant, dimly lit dining room is complemented by a large drinks bar and an open kitchen where highly skilled chefs prepare delicious dishes before your eyes. My favorites are Kobe sushi, caviar, lobster and duck. This modern restaurant is a unique and unforgettable dining experience. The outdoor seating area, surrounded by the bay, adds an extra layer of charm. For a sophisticated evening filled with exquisite sushi and seafood dishes, impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere, this hidden gem is a must-visit. Novikov will remain in your heart as an unforgettable culinary destination.

Great place in Miami downtown

By Mr.Ché |

This is a Russian restaurant with Japanese fusion food in the Miami downtown. Quite a fancy place with a terrace (that wasn't working due to rains). Inside the interior is very well thought, nice display of fish and seafood, overall pleasant atmosphere. The food is of very good quality, so is the service. We tried sashimi, crab, fish. All the dishes were good. So we're the cocktails. Overall I am very happy with the place! Recommend it

Good food, service just okay, overpriced

By pkoutsenko |

Food was good, service mediocre - multiple servers don't seem to know what the others are doing, I had to remind twice about the wine I ordered...when it arrived the wine tasted like the bottle was opened a while ago, it was clearly oxygenated but I didn't want to deal this. Again, I liked almost all of the food that we ordered...some sort of fried roll, California roll, vegetable tempura, Szhechuan beef, friend rice...it should just cost half the price. Tip asked on top of the 20% service charge (which goes to whom, again?) is annoying but kind of becoming the norm. Just ok. Probably will go again some day. I would like to try the duck.

Consistently Great Food!

Good and ambiance is always amazing here! Consistently great food and service. This restaurant is part of our heavy rotation of places to eat in Miami!

Excellent experience. The chairs are very comfortable, the place is beautiful and the people are wonderful there. The sushi was exquisite

$29 3-course Business Lunch Special

By Linda K |

But, you must know that the option even exists, one must scan in the code on the top right of the menu. However, every dish presented was delicious . . . from the delightfully flavorful Cucumber Tataki thru the outstanding Brussels Sprouts and Crispy Pork (my favorite dish, I could have eaten three) to the Branzino with Cilantro Pesto. Our waitress was outstanding, incredibly well-trained, though the dishes were a bit slow to arrive. The dinner menu looked amazing, though significantly pricier than the Business Lunch Special.

Great people watching and great food

By Hayley’s Travels |

We aren’t much for the trendiest place in town but this came highly recommended. The drinks were delicious and our waiter was really accommodating with all of my food allergies - which includes Soy - something not easily navigated at a sushi restaurant. While there wasn’t a ton on the menu that I could eat, everything we tasted was incredible.

Asian delight

By 141Dini |

Went with friends and enjoyed this restaurant. The decor is modern and trendy. Service is friendly but could be a bit more efficient. Not there when you need them. The Peking duck was very good but needed more pancakes. The shrimp tempura and the mango chicken was excellent. Pricing was reasonable. Would go again .

Amazing experience

By Daniela O |

Me and my fiancé had the most amazing date night at novikov and Michal and Tony, they were so helpful and so patient with us. Bringing the best experience for a Miami night. The best food, environment, and consistency. I can’t wait to come back and have the best customer service and food I can expect for a place like this. Thank you!

Skip the Business Menu

By RayICue |

Normally a “5” , but today using the business lunch menu not nearly as good . First an Arnold Palmer made with sour mix , not drinkable . Then the cost saving menu led me to try four courses, I would not normally eat . Lesson learned, next time I order off the regular menu! The duck served was comparable to ground beef , never had ground duck before. Again next time regular menu .

Incredibile Service and amazing Food

By Massi |

We had dinner here last week me and my wife and it was without any doubt one of the best experience I have ever had in a Restaurant. We were supposed to have dinner with a nice bottle of wine but we end up keep ordering the amazing cocktails one better than the other one. All the food was incredibile too, but if I think I had one of the best experience in a restaurant is because of the service: if you ever want to try this place make sure you request Angel as your server: this guy made our night amazing. Thank you Angel we will come back soon and I will recommend this place and this server to all the people I know!

Chef Needs a Raise!

By Joey_G_LawFirm |

The food was out of this world great! I was there for a lunch ‘wine tasting’ and every dish we got was “OMG”. This should resonate on the service end, it didn’t. Servers didn’t know who got what and food was placed in front of the wrong person, but this wasn’t a big deal as we were all excited to try the next dish! But just food for thought I guess! Thanks for the great time! Joey G Head Sommelier Fiola Miami

Excellent Choices

By RayICue |

Creative menu and awesome presentation of excellent food. The service was as expected. Great location for downtown Miami. Waterfront view as well . Recommend the Peking Duck , and any desert

As good as their London sister restautant

By 1879fulham |

This is a high end fantastic restaurant focusing on Asian dishes. The food is amazing as are the friendly and attentive staff particularly the waiter called Angel. Patrons are the beautiful and well heeled and there is an nice ambience. Inside and outside dining. Not cheap but definitely recommend. The only downside we experienced was per the photo! Guy pull your pants up.

Wonderful experience

By AL BLAIS |

Upon opening the menu, you will find a great selection of appetizers, sushis, crab, noddles, and even duck. I appreciated the wonderful serviced offered by the staff as well as their knowledge and excitements. Although it is really hard to pick a favourite dish, I think the Quail Egg & Truffle Gunkan was by far the best. The Ultimate Spicy Tuna also stood out amongst the best options. One aspect of the ambiance we were not so keen about was the loud music but that's a small detail.

Great Service

By Martin586 |

We loved the food ,the ambiance and the service ! A party of 8 , everybody enjoy the food and drinks ! our special was The Duck !!! amazing taste !!! we loved it !!

Wowed!

By Danielito |

The place is stunning. The food is absolutely great and of amazing quality. We asked for sushi rolls - amazing the flavor and the freshness of the fish. We had dumplings - as good as those in Shanghai. Then the wok shrimp - tasty and fabulous. Fried rice - no miss. Dover sole - to kill for. Then to top it off the dessert which was shaved frozen pineapple with coconut ice cream. The place is very pricey. Expect to pay north of 75usd per person WITHOUT alcohol. Very good however.

Fresh - Lite - Delicious

By Elitegroupwi |

I’ve been multiple times. Never disappointed! I specifically made multiple trips to confirm what my mind was telling me. My absolute favorite restaurant in the country. It’s pricey but worth it. So many amazing dishes make for an expensive evening as you won’t want to pass on any of them. Make a reservation, Miami diners begin showing up around 830pm and keep it busy til closing. Ideal location with views and outdoor dining. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. 3 thumbs up! Thank you NOVIKOV 🥃

Elegant and impressive.

By jhanjhar |

I enjoyed our meal at Novikov and loved the service we received. Our server Jess, was very friendly and helpful and took her time in helping us choose the best dishes and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is very elegant. very impressive is the display of fresh array of seafood and the trays of luscious ripe vegetables. The menu has a big selection and the food is flavorful and nicely seasoned.

Nickel and Dime

By CTK888 |

Recently, four of us had dinner at Novikov. Very busy. Very expensive...but you know that going in. Servers were nice but cold. What disappointed us to no end was this. We ordered a few premium vodkas "On The Rocks". Normal thing. When we received the bill, it showed Vodka $16.00. Below is showed "On the Rocks" $3.00. Seriously? We've never been charged separately for "ICE" in a cocktail. If you look up "Nickel and Dime" in the dictionary, that's it. For a $450.00 dinner, not only is that disappointing but cheezie. Hey, don't forget to charge for salt and pepper.

Some serious Negatives to this experience.

By willoberheiser |

Upon making our Friday night reservations we received a text within minutes notifying us we had exactly 1 1/2 hours before we would be asked to leave. We should of cancelled immediately. From there it was all downhill. Ear splitting music guaranteed by a D.J. at the very entrance, inflexible seating choices and absurd wine prices pretty much wraps it up for Novikov Miami. Success breeds arrogance. Forget the social distancing as well. There are a lot of more honest venues out there.

Great but only average for price point

By B Keith B |

Very good food. I spent a lot of time in Moscow where he has several restaurants and all are exceptional. But there is room for improvement here. I eat a lot of sushi where the wasabi is actually horseradish, mustard and green die. But when my bill is over $400, I expect real wasabi not the same stuff as a $50 place. Also food came out as they prepared. I ordered the $100 wagyu steak. Excellent! But I ordered baby bok Choi with it which came out about 10 min later when I was already done. Overall, very good meal but for $450 plus tip, somewhat disappointing

B day brunch

By T76NewOrleansu |

Great brunch . Amazing service . Shoutout to Manny our server . Attention to detail made sure we were treated like celebrities . Get crab legs with truffle sauce . Best we’ve ever had . Great birthday celebration

Awesome...

By johnzula |

The sushi and duck w crab legs were delightful! I seen some of the staff w uv lights to keep us safe. So super pleased on how the restaurant offered us hand sanitizer and masks at the entrance. And once we were finished the menus were placed in the trash. I observed everyone wearing masks! And my table was even more than 6 feet away from the next. Thanks guys for taking care of us!

Great food and great place

By Naddia's Favorites |

Great discovery, this is a sophisticated fashionable Chinese-Japanese restaurant in downtown Miami, great place, the food is really good and the Sunday lunch a real treat, for $ 23 you get a 3 course meal and they have specials on champagne that is just amazing. We had the Hot & Sour King Crab soup, Chicken Siu Mai, Shrimp & Cilantro Dim Sum, Grilled Branzino Scallion & Ginger , Crispy Peking Duck and for dessert we chose the Chocolate Molten Cake from the regular menu, soooooo good ! It is really worth trying it if you have not and, I will be for sure going back again, loved it @novikovmiami For more of my favorite restaurants and places follow me on my Facebook page Naddia’s Favorites or on Instagram @naddias_favorites

First class service, along with excellent dishes. We ordered numerous items from the menu for a family style gathering and loved every single dish. Sure to become one of your favorite restaurants.

Great food with bad aftertaste

By Yakov F |

The quality of food was excellent. The sushi with ingredients from Japan were out of this world. Pork ribs were the best I ever had. The duck salad is a must! This place is very clean and the service was great. Why not 5 stars then? The bill included a line Service Charge of 15% or so. I've seen it in other places and assumed that it's tips. Just in case, I decided to ask the waiter if this line means tips? He answered that this is the money to help him in paying to people who assist him tonight. This sucks. If the tips are included, just say so. The final bill has an empty line titled Additional tips... I've heard a similar explanation of what the Service charge means in Russian restaurant in the Brighton Beach area in Brooklyn, NY. Back in the 90th, they used to say that the service charge is needed to pay for the laundry of table linens. But such a high-class restaurant as Novikov (yes, he's Russia) shouldn't play these tricks. Anyway, the food is great and the tips are included in the bill.

Excellent food

By Augusto M |

I was already familiar with Novikov restaurants in London and Doha (Qatar), and this one in Miami maintains the same level of excellent food and efficient service. We went as a family of 4 and tried 7 different dishes, all spectacular. The 7 pm time slot is better for a family outing, as later hours tend to cater more to adults (nightclub style) The cost should be calculated at $120 per person, including tips. Valet parking costs an additional $22, even though it is advertised at $15, and the service is quite slow.

Creative cuisine

By Atravellingrunner |

Food and presentation was amazing but the service is just top-notch. Marlon was a cut above and as a sommelier, helped us choose an amazing bottle of wine.

THE BEST IN MIAMI

By 101CLUB |

Elegant, sophisticated, great food and superior services. Simply the best restaurant in Miami. A combination of high end Oriental and cooking it your way cuisine. Yes you can ask your fish to be cooked exactly as you wish. Novikov is among the few places in Miami with a fantastic atmosphere and an ambience that allows for pleasant conversation and music listening.

Horrible experience

By Golderheart |

Who knows if the food is good. After 45 minutes I have no food and have heard diners only complaining. From cold food to watered down drinks. Horrible.

A spectacular eating experience and beyond

By FedeAL_EC |

Novikov an exquisite restaurante with a great menu and fine wines. Enjoy the beef and shrimps and for dessert double chocolate lava cake. It will take time to have your table ready.

Good food

By RenatodiCaprio |

Novikov is a very beautifully designed restaurant. In the weekend it gets a bit too loud to have a normal conversation since they have a DJ who starts at 7:00 already. Watch out for the valet idiots who try to rip you off. Nowhere do they charge USD 60 to park up front; not even at Zuma or Prime 112 (which are much better restaurants anyways). It really makes me mad how restaurants allow these valet companies screw their clientele.

Great lunch

By Younes B |

The dishes were super sexy and tasty. Great combination of flavors. The crispy Pecking duck was phenomenal. Our server Viktoria was very attentive and courteous

Fantastique

By Mario G |

Had a fantastic dinner! The Wasabi Martini is a must-try and different than almost any other cocktail I've ever had; the Octopus appetizer is amazing and worth ordering each time; and a huge shout out to Dominique the manager and Mike P. the server! Mike really gave us an experience rather than 'just a meal', and we'll definitely be back (and will ask for him!)

Yum

By Navagater |

Good food, great service, really good cocktails. It was a busy night but that may be the case a lot of times. Even then our server was great, never an empty glass nor an empty plate left on the table.

Great food and service

By Brian B |

Great selection of food. I love ordering from the fish market and creating my own. Singapore noodles are excellent and so is the crab and beef tartare. Went to the London location many times so was excited when they opened a Miami spot.

Enjoyed a business dinner

By lbhk007 |

Enjoyed a business dinner here with 10 colleagues. Outstanding dim sum collection, Kobe beef, and great wine made for an amazing meal! Service was excellent, attentive but not overbearing.

Excelente

By carlos v |

I waited 25 minutes after my reservation, but that was the only bad thing of the night! Food was incredible! The best of the day was the truffle duck! I recomend the hamachi with truffle , and the maki of poched egg and truffle.

Great find!

By BizBag |

Great food and a great experience and especially lucky having Jean J as our server. Warm smile, and great suggestions and great service. In fact, we overheard a manager telling him that there was a table upfront that just wanted to say “hello”. Well deserved. We had the scallops. Black cod, and short-rib bao buns… All were off the chart good. Great job to all and a very cool vibe to the restaurant.

Novikov brickell, much better than in London

By Silver1881 |

Novikov is one of the newer choices in Brickell and one of the trendy restaurant. The food is good and it has a good scene. Definitely much better than the one in London which is now a tourist spot. The starters, sushi and Peking duck are very good. They have a good selection of sake. The bar area is small and not very happening. The hosting staff could be a little better and make better judgements where to sit who. All in all it’s not good and worth going.

Everything was delicious

By Markyharps |

Really great meal. We had a special of dim sum and duck and it was spectacular - very good quality, nicely presented and outstanding service. Will definitely go again.

Average, okay

By John lad |

Excellent food. Menu is extensive. Definitely fine dining. It can be expensive but worth it and they do different deals on different nights so it’s worth checking them out before you book.

Great food!

By CristianaSantos |

We have been to Novikov in London and Moscow before and we just loved both places. In Miami, althought the food is very good, we think that it is over priced. The place is crowded and, althought we had reservation, we had to wait a while to be seated. The decor is very nice. But the ambience (including guests and staff) is a little snob (even if we compare with the units of London and Moscow). We had to wait more than 30 minutes to get our car with the valet. The food is perfect! The crispy duck fois gras is the best!!! It is an expensive place, but it is worth the food!

Birthday celebration

By alejk2016 |

IOur son invited us and his mother in law for our May Birthday celebration. They have been to this restaurant and for us it was the first time. Normally i do not like fusion food but i must say that this was a very nice fusion restaurant. Food was well presented, was delicious and the service was excellent. I also recommended other friends to go. We tried the business lunch and it was very good. The waiter also told us all about the other menues and specials . Soon they will have on Sunday Chinese dim sum.

Delicious must stop in Miami. Be aware of the service charge + tip

By SandraMnegro |

This is a delicious must in Miami. The food is absolutely magnificent. The king crab honey truffle it’s a must. There is only one BUT. The service is included, yet the servers don’t day it. They ask for a tip, which happens to be additional. They already charge an automatic 20% service fee and I was charged an additional 15% tip. Service was indeed excellent. Yet I believe 20% is sufficient. I was told after the fact that it will be reimbursed… got to wait and see

Food Porn

By Emy Fayad |

Service was amazing ! Food Delicious and perfect ambiance for Wednesday. We were 4, we had 2 appetizers, 3 sushi makis, and 4 hot food plates. Everything was delicious, the service was excellent and even deserts and coffee were unique and delicious. Definitely recommend and would go back!

Stunning!

By RealDS |

If you eat here opt for the terrace.. it’s so nice out there. The waiters are extremely on job & know how to host guests. The food was worth every last penny! They have 7 kitchens ready to prepare your delicious order. And they have a plethora of alcohol to serve you

Great food and service but some key dishes missing..

By TonyTraveller1 |

Lovely food and great service. The Dim Sum menu was a bit limited and the hot chilli sauce was not that hot! They need a chilli flakes sauce.. Surprised there was no Lahksa or Japanese noodle soups. They are missing some of the best Asian dishes!

Miami Spice Favorite

By Marina H |

I went with a friend for Miami Spice - we both had not been to Novikov before. Their Spice offerings were so delicious and good size portions. We also ordered a few additional items and were blown away by the BBQ Toro. One of the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. Drinks and service were also great. I already want to go back.

Average food

By Jonathan9 |

Good service but very average food compare to one in London and other top restaurants in Miami. Black cod was overcooked and rolls were average at best.

Best new restaurant in Miami

By jay s |

I have been to Novikov several times in the last two Months. Each time has been wonderful. Went Friday January 5th as part of a party of 21. The service could not have been better, surpassed only by the quality of the food. The duck is tasty. The hamachi was exquisite. The shrimp had a nice bite to it. The ambiance is high energy. A DJ spinning sets that were tasteful and not overpowering. This place is tops in every aspect. Unlike many restaurants in Miami, the staff is extremely friendly and not at all pretentious. I highly recommend Novikov. Kudos all around Well done!

4 star food, 2 star value, poor table spacing

By OU812Kiev |

4 star food, 2 star value for dinner. Incredibly overpriced for what you get, but I guess that’s expected given the location. Service was excellent. Outdoor patio had tables too close together for COVID peak times. Another table next to us was arm’s length away. Had dim sum, sushi, bao buns, and a side of mushrooms. The mushrooms were very very salty. Dim sum was good quality but nothing better than a good Chinese restaurant and twice the price. Bao buns were the highlight, but again, not better than all the other high quality bao buns out there. I enjoyed this restaurant more a year ago for set price lunch and restaurant week. I wouldn’t return at full price and definitely won’t return during COVID peak times.

Amazing Father’s Day lunch

By LUcurated |

We took the family to celebrate Father’s Day. The restaurant is offering an amazing executive lunch for $23, it’s a total must for dim sum lovers. There was a family next to us obviously experiencing some challenges with their young children, while annoying we have all been there at some point, glad my kids are in college! I bring this up because I was completely blow away by the mindfulness and elegance in which the staff handled the situation. We love this place and will continue to be regulars for many years to come. The money bags are a must! Kudos team Novikov. You guys are incredible.

Novikov - solid 4 (but not 5) star Asian fusion restaurant

By byMT305 |

Open for approximately 4 years in Miami, Novikov is a very popular Asian fusion restaurant with the menu being one-half Chinese and one-half Japanese. My summary: Food - good/very good (with quality falling short of 5 star upper echelon) Service - good (very efficient) Ambience - stylish modern decor; very loud sound track Value - average ($100 - $150 per person meal) Hospitality - pleasant wait staff; at least 3 "reminders" before dinner that "you have this table for 90 minutes"); very loud sound track is certainly a deterrent to lingering over dinner. The food items that we tried were as follows: Very good - Spicy prawn moneybags dim sum (excellent); Miso black cod (very good); Duck fried rice (excellent) Good - Boa buns (2 buns per order) (both crispy pork, and roast duck) quite good; Lobster tempura (good) Average - cocktails (Margarita was harsh; Lychee martini was overly sweet, even for a lychee martini); Broccolini side dish - overly tart ponzu flavors; Gelato - a sherbert-like "gelato" dominated by tart passion fruit flavor (overpowering "white chocolate") Asian fusion is hard to pull-off. Novikov Miami does this reasonably well (though food quality aims for, but falls short of the very top tier of Chinese, Japanese, etc.). You can certainly get a good/very good meal here in a bustling, vibrant, downtown Miami (just off Brickell Avenue) restaurant.

What a disaster from management to service!

By Kirill M |

We traveled from San Francisco to Miami to meet our friends from NYC and celebrate my wife's 45th birthday. Novikov dining experience was supposed to be a highlight of our celebration and all of us were looking forward to it. Members of our group have extensive experience with gourmet dining, and, being of Russian descent, we wanted to pay tribute to our heritage by attending one of Novikov’s new additions; besides some of us have the privilege of knowing Arkady Anatolievich personally. The reason I decided to post my feedback is the fact that our dining experience on October 28th was a disgrace and disaster and indicates nothing, but systemic issues in your newly opened establishment starting from the kitchen all the way to the management. This letter was completely ignored both by Moscow headquarters and Miami restaurant and failed to receive any follow up response in 2 months. To illustrate my point, - we were assigned single waiter, Alexander, who had 2 assistants serving a table of 12. To simplify the ordering process we have discussed with Alexander splitting our table in 3 equal groups, which would provide opportunity for people to share various dishes and accommodate easier billing. There was no consistency in how the same orders were presented to different people continually throughout the night. For example, a duck salad was broken up and mixed by Alexander while the same salad was just placed on a table by his assistant. Toasts were interrupted by the service personnel, while dishes were brought in unannounced. The tables were not cleaned between the dishes presentation, water was replenished only upon request and the table was not attended. While serving the appetizers, the orders where continuously misplaced to different patrons on different sides of the tables. This is not just a service issue but faux pas. Items that were not ordered by our group at all, such as California rolls, were brought over to the table without introduction. Some items that were ordered were never delivered. The climax was reached when Alexander decided to take away two filled sake shot glasses from one side of the table because he was under impression that they were not being appreciated and brought it to the other side of a table without asking patrons’ permission first. At that point restaurant manager Nicholas [-] was summoned to the table and explained ongoing lack of service and offered an opportunity to remedy the matter. Regrettably, his solution was to send a complimentary bottle of sake rather than providing support to his struggling service team. Things continued to deteriorate with the quality of food being serviced, such as foie gras dishes, few of them had to be sent back. Such outrages lack of service and attention lead some guests to not ordering main courses. Lastly, we made special arrangements for dessert plate to be presented at the end of a dinner, which was supposed to be a surprise for my wife. That order was never delivered; instead add on desserts from our friends were placed on a central piece and were brought in. Follow up conversations with Nicholas [-] at the end of the dinner, 30 minute wait and 5 attempts to get an accurate billing, solidified our impression of inadequate personnel training and inadequacies in management structure (confirmed by Mr. [-]). These failures not only ruined a long planned and highly anticipated evening with friends but seriously undermined Novikov groups’ reputation in the eyes of influential patrons.

Overpriced and underwhelming.

By huggs h |

The wild baby squid was dry calamari. The shishito peppers had zero flavor. My tamarind glazed salmon arrived with the skin completely charred, with a bowl of a heavy/thick sauce, which was definitely not a glaze, on the side. And to top it off the panna cotta desert had not set so we were served a bowl of goop. Also, when my date complained about the AC leaking on him the waiter pretty much told him to deal with it when he could have easily offered us a different table as the place was not packed.

My server, Jean was amazing! I love the king crab, and the truffle Hamachi. I also love the Peking duck. The food is so insane here in the Mocktail ‘s were delicious. Definitely try the lychee one.

Mindblowing!

By beachbumlizz |

Absolutely amazing! We had lunch at novikov on Tuesday afternoon. Service was excellent. The food even better.. scallop and jalapeño sashimi, Wagyu fois Gras premium sushi, chu toro and caviar, seared otoro.. seared salmon belly. Wow! We ordered a king crab leg with honey truffle and a tiger prawn, as well as a fish from the market.. the guilthead sea bream cooked salt and pepper style was by far my favorite. Alejandro did a great job and went above and beyond by surprising us a seafood platter. MIND BLOWING!!! We finished with a dessert platter. The tropical Kiro with the passion fruit ice cream and torched merengue was my favorite. Will defiantly be back soon to try more of the menu. Thank you Novikov for everything. :)

Amazing business lunch ❤️

By Naddia's Favorites |

If you are downtown Miami Monday to Friday and you need a place for lunch, try out Novikov, they have a Business Lunch Menu for $ 29 which is really great ! You can choose 3 dishes from the menu, really enough for your lunch and super tasty, we were 3 of us so we could try different things, we all had the Cucumber Tataki, a bit too spicy for us, then from the appetizers we tried the Spicy Salmon Maki, the Shrimp & Cilantro Dim Sum and the Brussels Sprouts & Crispy Pork, all good but, the Brussel Sprouts was incredible and then, boring us ;-) we all had their amazing Crispy Peking Duck, this is soooooooooooooo good I just love this place For more of my favorite restaurants, places and more, like my Facebook page Naddia’s Favorites or follow me on Instagram @naddias_favorites

Very average dim sum

After spending almost 800 USD on lunch for 3 without alcohol I think we got a pretty good idea about the food. In general all the dim sum sounded very promising on the menu, but in presentation and taste were not more than average. For this price I would expect perfection and that was definitely not what we got. Exception was the Peking duck, that was delicious. The lobster tempura was tasteless. The crab soup was blend. But 80% of the dishes had one thing in common, far too salty! (and I like salt)

Great atmosphere

Top restaurant and top service

Amazing restaurant with brilliant Asian food choices. Our server Nicolas was very pleasant, and extremely attentive, which always makes dining out so much nicer.

Remarkable sushi, dim sum

By lbhk007 |

Remarkable sushi, dim sum / dumplings, and Kobe beef - I found myself pacing the meal so I wouldn’t be too full to try everything! Large business meal that we ordered family style, amazing food, beautiful venue and terrific waitstaff! Can’t go wrong with this choice.

Tipping Scam

By James D |

Food was overpriced for the small portions we received. Our party of 3 people were charged a 20% gratuity without being told and were then asked to add a tip to the handheld POS credit card machine. Watch out for this tipping SCAM!

Excellent high end sushi lunch!

By David G |

Visiting Miami and were looking for excellent sushi and other gourmet entrees. Many other popular locations booked in area so ended up here with family. The staff was very friendly and service was excellent. The quality of all food was incredible. Portions are not huge but all prices very high. If you are looking for quality sushi and other interesting gourmet entrees definitely visit Novikov.

Not worth it!!

By Samuel M |

Not your best option, the atmosphere is great, the place is too loud but the food is AVERAGE, today they had an event so they run out of their famous duck, really? Overall the food was ok but not worth paying 100 per person (including 5yr old children), I wouldn’t recommend you going there.

Average compared to the London one

By Traveller |

I was expecting something similar in quality to the Novikov in London and was highly disappointed because the quality of food is MUCH lower but prices are still incredibly high for a meal that’s average (200 per person). Service was fantastic and the Ukrainian girl that was our server was truly brilliant. The music outside was way too loud at first when we sat down and I asked them to turn it down which they did so I appreciate that. We had sushi rolls, bao buns, sweet and sour chicken , wagyu nigiri and tuna/ caviar nigiri, crispy rice and the fried cod with mango sauce followed by 2 desserts. Nothing really stood out and I can think of less expensive places where I can have all the same things of better quality. I’d also recommend adding some non alcoholic cocktails to the menu. The location of the restaurant was nice because it has a water view so you can look out at boats if you’re sitting outside and even walk along the boardwalk after dinner.

Great food

Really good evening.. food served family style. Even though there were 20 of us the service was great. Food kept flowing as did the drinks. Delicious food , great atmosphere. It’s a little loud with the music so a challenge to talk with anyone other than those immediately next to you but overall a great night

Not worth it al all! In the

By RenatodiCaprio |

Not worth it al all! In the beginning we liked it, but it has become waaaaay too loud, after 8:00 you can’t hear yourself think anymore, crowded, people sitting on top of each other, AND THE FOOD IS SO SO! The sushi was fine (but it’s better across the street at Zuma, and muuuuch better at Makoto), the server handed out the dessert list before clearing the table. Last time for us. Very disappointing. I’ll add one picture so you know we were there. The rest was not worth it (the pictures😀)

Worst impossible!!

By Danipachecorosa |

Worst experience EVER! I booked new years dinner for myself and my 3 teenage children. I was willing to pay the considerable amount of US$395.09/person for a set menu. I hoped to have and provide my children with a memorable dining experience. We were almost fooled by the “per person” menu - they wanted to deceive us by sending only 1 portion of each dish to be “divided” between 4 people, even though I had paid for 4 people. the manager tried to “argue”, without success, as nothing was clearer than the menu charged “per head” and at no point did it say that if there was more than 1 peasa, the dishes would be divided, but the price would remain per person. The famous FOOLS ME I LIKE IT! As if that wasn't enough, the dishes took so long (from 9pm to 11:5pm) they hadn't served the main dishes. At this point we had lost our hunger and good mood… I ordered the desserts, skipping the main dishes and the bill (absurd!!) and we went back to the hotel. With the terrible feeling of having given pearls to swine... Terrible!!

Amazing night; great vibe and awesome food

By TCSanz |

Amazing night with great vibe, lively atmosphere and food was amazing. From dim sum, seafood, crispy rolls and pecking duck everything was delicious. Order several platters to split it’s a must taste it all.

Our restaurant is in the south.

My family and I celebrated my anniversary here. The location is very convenient, don't use wallet parking - leave your car in the parking lot near the market place, there are plenty of them. After dinner, it’s good to take a walk and add a couple of Cuban cocktails in the bars on the shore. The cuisine is Japanese-Chinese, with French attention to sauces. Incomparable tasting dishes. After eight it becomes crowded and noisy, like in Khmel in Kaliningrad, if anyone has been there. Take the dishes so that your friends can try everything, at the table with plates. The service is intrusive and a 20% service fee is charged in advance. The price tag is high for this format. Zumo (right next door) has a higher class for the same price. Artem has cooler places, but it’s good for Miami - after all, it’s not Moscow!😊 Celebrated my anniversary here with my family. Taste with delicious Food

By Pauline L |

The chicken was tender, juicy, and evenly cooked, blending well with the noodles and vegetables without overpowering the dish. Each bite tasted fresh and well-seasoned.

Underwhelmed

I just had dinner … was underwhelmed. If some one is looking to meet a beautiful women -just stay buy the bar… dinner could be better

Amazing place with helpful staff & delicious food

By Scott Aponte |

Absolutely delightful dessert! The crème brûlée was perfectly caramelized, with a rich, smooth custard underneath. The fresh fruit topping added a lovely balance of sweetness and freshness. Every bite was enjoyable. The presentation was beautiful, and the quality was excellent. It was a perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommended!

Very slow service

By Zé Henrique C |

The food is good, the place is nice, but I never seem a service so slow in my life. Doesn’t worth...

Underwhelming Novikon branch.

By Iris P |

Very mediocre food, condescending service, weird vibes, extremely overpriced for what it is. If you have ever been to Novikov in London, the one in Miami is like it's weird uncle who is not actually related to you and is weird during Christmas parties. Felt uncomfortable the whole night and we don't even know why. Save your money and go to Zuma.

Noise pollution in all the meanings of the word

By Hind A |

Usually I like the sushi restaurants in anywhere but this time I hate it it’s basically in tow words Noise Pollution, I can’t believe the crowd and the annoying sound pollution , for a while I feel I will faint from the inconvenience level ! Still the Corona ongoing the place is only 20 cm between the table and the other ! It’s really not as expected.

Nice addition to the Miami Asian scene....

By Kavine V |

Visited on a Sunday evening ...sat at the bar for a couple of drinks taken care by a very courteous bar tender with some pleasant oysters and fresh toro. We then moved to the dining area, and the sommelier did not oversell us on our choice of sake. Reasonably priced for the venue and location. Crispy tofu, hamachi sushi rolls, money prawn bag dim sum were excellent. The only weakness was the grilled lamb skewers that were overcooked. Enjoy...

Not at all impressed

By Weasel63 |

Heard that Novikov was a must. Well, not at all! The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great but I am sorry I have a real hard time when I can’t hear myself speak and then what really made it worse is to have a family screaming to speak at the table next to us and their screaming kids that have no manners but that comes from their ordinary parents and worst of all the staff seemed to cater to this family that were either regulars or had something to do with the place. Either way not acceptable the management should know better. Oh, and the food not worth it. Never again!!!!

Always tasty!

By Adri |

Great as usual. Nice atmosphere with a DJ on the weekends, casual decor and great food. My favorite are the shrimp dumplings, shishito peppers, chu toro nigiri with caviar (or without) and torched yellowtail nigiri. One of my fave Japanese restaurants in Miami along with Zuma, Naoe (a different level) and Nobu.

One of the best restaurants in town

By E T |

I like to try different items when we eat out, but the scallops with truffle sauce, the king crab legs and the Peking duck are so delicious that we akways order these with a few extra dishes of dim sum that are very good. The service is impeccable...our server Michelle brought us extra pancakes before we even asked for them. Singapore noodles are delicious .cant wait to go back, We like Sunday nights when its a little quieter,

Excellent Food and Ambience

The food is so fresh and delicious. Food is served as the dish is prepared - it is a sharing of food experience. Wide variety of Japanese and Asian prepared dishes.

Signature Novikov!

By Arash R |

Everything was good. Service was great. We liked the ambiance and the decor of the restaurant. The food was good, no issues, but it wasn’t great. Not a lot of originality. The ingredients weren’t spectacular. It’s just my opinion, but as someone who has spent a lot of time in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong, I know there’s a lot more you can do. I know Arkady likes his recipes simple and that’s understandable. I’d personally like something more wow to come back. Thanks for the experience, we did enjoy it, cheers.

The place actually looks quite

By Traveller Around The World |

The place actually looks quite nice. But the drink selection was disappointing. They only had one beer left by example. The service took some time And I think in general the sushi is a bit overpriced for the quality!

Pretentious garbage

By Ron Lindsey |

We made reservations at 8 and took an UBER from ft Lauderdale. Good 45-55 minute trip. My wife was wearing an amazing dress perfect for Miami. We walked in and were immediately told they couldn't accommodate us because she has flip flops on!! ($65 flip flops she bought at Macy's) It was 83 degrees and she looked completely amazing in her dress . Not to mention it was our 16th wedding anniversary . Give me a freaking break !! Thanks for almost ruining our night . We Went back to the hotel and had a great room service dinner.

All in one.

By LEMB1971 |

Great dishes. Fair prices. If you love Zuma, Pao, Hakkasan, Makoto, Komodo and Jaya ... this is the place. 100 % recommend.
