We love Noys Bistro restaurant. The food is always really fresh and super delicious. The service is good and usually pretty fast. It's great for take-out on a Friday night or eat in. The wine list is really good and menu choices are pretty extensive. The portions are pretty generous however it seems they are cutting back a little lately - still enough for one per serving though. Not real fancy but good food and good prices!

Pleasant people. Good service and amazing food. Every that I have tried is wonderful and my favorite is the Green Curry, Lao Hot!

Our friends ordered in from this restaurant. I had the pad Thai medium, which was delicious and just the right amount of hot with medium. My friend had the red curry which was also amazing. I loved their egg rolls and spring rolls too. Not a place to miss for some of the best Thai food I've ever had!

My husband and I decided to come here for the 1st time on Valentines Day for our anniversary and we were not disappointed at all. This is our new favorite place to come for Thai food. The Tom Kha is delicious and a must for each of our visits. We have not found something we haven't liked yet. Oh and the bubble teas are yum too!

Noy's Bistro located on Coronado Blvd in Universal City TX 78148 is a wonderful recent addition to a list of our favorites. From entering and being greeted by Duane to beginning our appetizer of a delightful sampler platter and throughout the main course. Each dish was a wonderful replica of those Thai specialties Ive enjoyed during my travels to So.East Asia when traveling for business. Atmosphere makes you feel like your back there, warm and comfortable, service was very attentive but not overbearing. A table visit by the cook Noy whose origins are Thailand making sure we were satisfied was a very good touch. At minimum this will definitely warrant a minimum monthly visit.

I have dreams about the Panang and Red Curry. I often get 2 to go at night, or one to go with lunch. Best Thai curry I have had in several states and a couple countries.

A surprise on the way to the Windcrest golf club, this nice new Thai restaurant caught our eye. We decided to return for lunch and found a really good Thai food place. The owner's name is Dwayne and he is an Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam War. His wife Noy is from Bangkok. They are very friendly and helpful people. I had the Penang Curry which is advertised as the hottest in town, I will have to add some Thai hot chili oil to get there. There are plenty of veggies like green and red pepper, onions, green beans, mushrooms, and eggplant. It was fresh and delicious. I ordered the rice soup. It comes out bland but if you add the Thai hot chili oil it becomes very robust. My BW had the Pad Ginger with chicken. This dish had mushrooms, green beans, sprouts, bell peppers, onions, zucchini, and sliced fresh ginger stir-fried in a light brown sauce. The side salad had iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and carrots. This is a great little family restaurant with good service, reasonable prices, and friendly people.

They have good food ranging from Thai to Curry and more. The sushi bar was closed when we went so I would call ahead for that before driving there.

Visited this place with some old Army buddies. Not sure what the rest of the bunch ordered, but I had the kung pao chicken and it was very good. The others cleaned their plates. This place used to be in Windcrest but relocated to their present location. good move. The lunch menu is adequate with 23 options to choose from and your selection comes with steamed rice and either a salad or the soup of the day. There are appetizer selections, soups and salad selections, Stir-fried selections, Noodle selections, and special seafood selections. All in all, a very hearty menu. The restaurant is very clean, wait staff is very attentive. They do offer beer and wine, but no other alcoholic beverages.

I have been here many times. Each time trying something new from the menu. Everything has always been excellent! The service is always top notch! I highly recommend eating here! Today tried the sparkling sake. Yumm!😀

Ambience is okay, Menue is impressive with plenty of Thai and sushi choices, but the food was great and our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. All this at a reasonable price. Glad I tried it. Recommended!

Ordered take out and while waiting, the chef let us taste some tasty appetizers and a type of sparkling cold sake at no charge. Orange chicken was excellent and sushi was wonderful.

I have eaten a lot of thai food In a lot of different places. This is by far the best i have ever had. The owner's wife is from Thailand. She is the chef at Noy's. Hence the name :) The restaurant is very clean, the service is excellent and the people are friendly and engaging. The portions are adequate. The mango sticky rice is soooo good. If you get a chance i promise you will not be disappointed. Check it out!!!!!!!

All and all average. The tom ka gai was good. Jungle curry (of which we have enjoyed at other restaurants) was not good, and noodles okay. Chang beer good, service awful. The woman server was obnoxiously rude. If I were to reflect her poor attitude and service in my review I would knock off a star.

A friend of mine from Thailand recommended this place to us. They have very good authentic food. Made very fresh. This place is not usually very busy. I'd like to see it busy or so they stay in business because their food is great.

The food was excellent. It is better than some of the excellent rated Thai restaurants in San Antonio by Trip Advisors. The service was excellent and wait time was extremely minimal. I would recommend this place because it is authentic Thai cuisine.

This is "Big" Henry, back again with another Review and 100% Authentic & Honest take on our meal: Noy's Bistro on 976 Coronado Blvd, Universal City, TX 78148 @ (210) 637-5100 Well, my wife just did it again... We hit a Tai spot for Chinese food. Go figure. "Big" Henry's Rating System: As you already recognize, I apply a rating system in (#) from 1 (worst) to 10 (best). Now onto the Review: Won Ton Soup (6): I liked most of it. But there was a taste which didn't allow me to finish it. The server #3 (name on ticket) came back from kitchen and offered me a replacement without the garlic oil and I declined as it was a big bowl (one size) considering I was already almost full with the plate. Pineapple Rice & Shrimp (6.5): The owner suggested to us that was his best seller. The taste was fine, but I'm not a Fried Rice guy... Unless it is Sushiana's Japanese Restaurant. So in all fairness, I'm more of a Rice Noodle over Rice. Maybe it is a texture thing for me. Hot Oil (7.5) which the owner also provided me... I thought I had taken a pic of it. Ugh!!! Nope! It was brown in color, very thick on the bottom when stirring with seeds or red flakes. I tried it on probably 5 spoonfuls. Each time getting braver and each time becoming hotter. Lol. But it was a weird and different type of heat that I am used to. I actually liked it. Sesame Chicken & Vegetables (5): was okay. Nothing to write home about (yet, I'm writing;) - It would have been better choosing another entree. California Rolls Sushi (7.5): were pretty good. Bonzai in NB (8.5), and Sushiana's (9) are much better. Still tasted fresh. Atmosphere (9.5) I do like the deco and it was very warm and inviting. Very clean. Service (9.5): she was easy to make laugh and was very friendly. Very attentive. The owner came over and told us a story about a friend who married a Russian woman. It made his point on trying new things. Overall, I did enjoy the atmosphere and service, but the food fell slightly short. I don't want to say, One & Done, but not sure if I would go back. Kind of Feeling Meh, "Big" Henry #BigHenrysReviews

We eat once a week at Noy's. The food is great and plenty! I was introduced to Asian food while station in Korea, Okinawa and Southern Europe. The decorations, tables, and shiny floors makes you feel comfortable and appeasing. One thing we've learned, in the past 5 years, its hard to find anyone who wants to work. Stephanie, our waitress, is funny, accommodating, and treats you like she's known you for years. I love their food, a family owned business, and this is why we frequent Noys weekly. If you like a business, then support them or they'll be gone. Many folks think Thai food is too spicy, not so if you tell them you don't want spicy or Thai Hot! My favorites are Thai Beef Salad, # 18 Lomein Noodles (reminds me of Japanese Yakisoba), Papaya Salad and any Fried Rice! Think Currys, Noodles or Rice, then you'll order the right meal. I think this is the nicest and best Thai restaurant in San Antonio! Nothing is perfect in life, but this place is one of our weekly favorites.

Noy's is one of the best Thai restaurants we've been to and there's no shortage of competition in the area! We enjoyed dining at their former location on Crestway and the 15 September 2014 move to 976 Coronado Blvd, Universal City TX only improved the overall experience. The new location has a separate bar area, serving wine and beer. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and attractive. Owner Dwayne (AF Vet) is a friendly host, while his talented wife / chef Noy serves up a variety of outstanding fresh Thai and Asian cuisine. We love the spring rolls, dumplings, best ever Hot and Sour Soup, Pad Thai, Pad Basil, etc. as well as lunch specials. Noy is also amenable to fulfilling your special requests when she has the time and ingredients. Check out their new website: www.noysbistro.com and more importantly, get yourself to their new place now!

Wife and I went for sushi. It's a new item and the first time we tried it when they first served it was amazing....well that was months ago and I can say the Thai food is amazing....but the sushi is not. Too mushy and vinegary rice with sashimi that had the full sheen of old fish. I will come back for the Thai....but not the sushi

Yes, there are other good Thai places in the area. I like them. I just like this place better. >better prices >generous portions >great atmosphere ... you can actually carry on a conversation and hear the other person >love the music they play! My husband gets the curry tofu. I have had Pad Thai; mixed veggie-lemon grass and chicken lemon grass. All good!

Noy’s did not disappoint! Food was brought out immediately and was piping hot. Excellent service! Pad Thai could have used a little more flavor/spice but tasted very fresh. Wish the location was in a different area and not a old strip mall since those tend to deter some people. Would go back again!

Fantastic food and amazing service. Noy’s is a really great place to get a lot of food at a very reasonable price and the quality and selection is fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Really good Thai food here. I especially like the spicy options available if one is looking for hot. The curry dishes are spectacular. Sometimes the dishes seem to have a lot of green beans in them, but aside from this the taste is just fantastic.

Very delicious and very fresh! Will return. Not busy at 8 pm on Saturday night before Easter. We were a little nervous because we were the only customers, but it did not disappoint.

We first started going to this restaurant when they were located on Crestway, near the Park&Ride/Randolph Blvd. We followed Noy and Duane (Ret CMsgt USAF) to their current location in Universal City. We love Thai food and have always enjoyed their fantastic recipes. If the menu is confusing for first time Thai food, then just tell them what you like. Noodles or rice, Beef/ Pork/Chicken/Shrimp/Tofu, and Vegetables. Pretty simple when you narrow down what you like. Their Pad Thai or Fried Rice is exceptional, with a little thai pepper sauce for added heat and saltiness. The place is nicely decorated, food is awesome and lunch specials very affordable, with soup or salad. This is our weekly lunch place, since we don't dine out very often at night. Noy's Bistro is one of our favorite "Mom & Pop" restaurants!

We've had Thai all over the world, and this is one of the best. Great food, great service. We had the Red Curry and Pad Basil. Absolutely amazing and portions are huge!!! Fried ice cream was phenomenal.

Excellent meal, friendly wait staff, and great atmosphere. Definitely a great place tucked back away from busy Pat Booker. Great selections.

LOVE this place. Nice, quiet. Our go to : curry, mixed veggie, fried rice. Service and food always good. Reasonably priced. Not cheap but not expensive.

We loved the atmosphere. The owner stopped by to converse with us while we were eating. Great Thai food.

It was soooo delicious, it was the best restaurant we have gone to in a while. It was astonishing. We love that restaurant

Our waiter, Kevin, provided great service! He ensured my order adhered to my dietary restrictions. I visited Noy's again in October. Kevin provided my "to go" meal, again making sure my dietary restrictions were followed. A special thanks to Kevin & the kitchen staff for two delicious meals!!

This is a fairly recently opened Thai restaurant. (It is also a shusi restaurant but the sushi section is in a separate section.) I had a green curry and it was pretty good. The service is friendly, the place is impeccably clean and new... Next time I'll try to sushi area...

Delicious from chicken rIce soup to entrees. To fried Ice cream. I had general cho chicken. Next time egg rolls and Thai food. We will be back SOON!

Wonderful service, beautiful restaurant, amazing hot delicious food, menu was easy to read and choices were outstanding! Definatly will come back!

This is the best Thai restaurant we have experienced so far in the San Antonio area. Fast service and amazing food with large portions and extremely reasonable. We will definitely be coming here again and again.

Fantastic meal, great service nice atmosphere. We'll be back soon. Have been here a fes tomes with friends and family. Will have to try the tapas bar next

My husband & I drove from downtown San Antonio to eat some well-reviewed Thai. Never got to eat because the old white dude that owns the place started cursing our arrival. We called in advance asking if the lateness of our arrival would be a problem, as we didn't want to make a 20 minute drive for nothing. We were told that it wouldn't be a problem. Turns out we drove for nothing. The old guy is rude and cantankerous. We won't ever return. Also, he's apparently looking for a Thai chef - there's a digital sign outside saying such.

This place is amazing! The food is just incredible! My two favorite items are their red curry and fried rice. Start with the freshly made cup of soup and then make your way through their authentic this menu. Give it a go...now...you won't be disappointed!
Going Away Luncheon for Manager
First time going here. Waitress was really good for a large group at lunch time. She was courteous, and really worked hard to get everyone their food in a timely fashion. The food was okay ...not great but the service was great.
