A menu like no others

By cchip55 |

Are you tired of seeing the same old classic dishes, or the same new trendy dishes on menus? Nue has a menu full of items I have NEVER seen at any other restaurant. When I spend my hard earned/saved money eating out, I want it to be special, I want to eat something I have never heard of. That's what this place delivers. Oh, and unlike other Seattle places filled with waitstaff giving mediocre or poor service, the people who work here are great! They really like talking about the dishes and they make sure you have everything you need. I enjoy this place so much that when I see people lingering at the door looking at a menu, I tell them to give it a try!

International Flair

By Diane W |

Nue is the loving project of a well-traveled couple who decided to decorate a small place with souvenirs of their travels and offer some of the unusual dishes they had eaten around the world. The result is a menu which I've never seen duplicated anywhere else. You might think the portions are small for the price until you bite into your order. These people really know how to season food, bring out its heart, and satisfy you with whatever you order. For fun, though, try going with friends and get as many plates as possible and share them. The Bunny Chow is a house favorite, with nothing to do with bunnies at all. Or try some of the salads. Or the delicious crab and chickpeas. The homemade deserts are also real winners. Don't miss the ice cream. This "street food" is a real winner -- don't miss Nue. You'll go back again and again.

Oh wow, Beerlao

Syrian kale. Hungarian wings. I don't know art, but I know what I like. Never has my palate been so delighted.

One of The best cuisine in the city hands down

By WorldTraveller106 |

All the dishes that we tried in this eclectic little restaurant were flavorful and full of character. The combination of spices and herbs used in the dishes (including dessert) were unique and memorable. Kudos to chefs and the management. Truly a culinary gem with reasonable prices.

Unique menu

I've never been to such an interesting restaurant like this. Nue is like a connection between many cultures. The food is delicious. Highly recommend Bunny Chow, taste really good.

Really worth visiting !!!

By SimplelifeHN |

I've been there 3 times when I was in Seattle... really love their Vietnamese salad and Chengdu spicy chicken wing... And also tried their fresh and super tasty ice creams, especially french toast and bacon flavor ( yea, it sounds weird , but believe me , its soo nice lol haha )

Favorite in Seattle

By Xin S |

Better late than never--this place is my go-to (3 times so far) whenever I'm in Seattle. Its Laska is the best I've ever had since I lived in Singapore. Bonny chow is also amazing. And give Balut a try if you're feeling brave (I loved it). The owner, Chris, is an awesome human being and world traveler who shares his passion for international cuisine and cultures with us through this restaurant. Keep up the good work, Nue Seattle!

Inventive, worldly, fun and delicious

By Tbasche |

Every town needs a restaurant like Nue. Fun ambiance very upbeat and eclectic interior. Food is made of street food from around the world. We had dishes from Puerto Rico, Thailand, India, and it was all seasoned perfectly and delicious. I wish San Francisco had a place like this. When in Seattle you must try Nue.

Great experience

By Alastair |

We found this on Tripadvisor while walking around Capitol Hill. We had no reservation, but they were very helpful and managed to seat us pretty quickly thanks to a cancellation. The atmosphere is a lot of fun - we shared a table and ended up having great conversations with fellow diners. The food is refreshingly different, very creative and absolutely delicious. Note that it is on the spicy side (which I love) but that may not be your thing. I wish I had a Nue in my neighbourhood.

South African Bunny Chow and Pineapple Cornbread!

By Laura_Kayaks |

Regardless of the name, there are no bunnies in the bunny chow. But there is a tremendous amount of delightful flavor in every bite I took at this original food establishment. The Nue Fashioned craft cocktail I had was beyond great! We had a party of 6 people and ordered various things so we could try a lot. The great and somewhat weird thing is, everything kind of went together, even though they tasted very different. It must be that underlying OUTSTANDING flavor that just seemed to be made with love. Will I go there again? How about every week for the rest of my life, please.

Wow

By Ken S |

Amazing menu. Great staff. Lovely story from the owner Ms Nguyễn. Get the South African Bunny Chow Curry. Delicious. The drinks r so well crafted, you think u r in a NY Bar. Cool setting. Go here. Now.

Awesome food!

By Don C |

All four of us in our party tried different dishes from around the world and everything was delicious and moderately priced! We highly recommend eating here!

Try it! Good visit in store!

By Ty R |

The coffee, drink and dinner offerings are as unique as delicious! Great staff and wonderful environment to start a night out! In full disclosure, I know the owner. Because he sat down and had a drink with me. Great guy and no surprise thus place is an extension of his travel and passion. Visit - if yours goes like mine did you remember and return.

A “world of food”

By Hoaitram D |

What a wonderful place Nue is!! I am from California and have eaten many different types of food, and have tried many different international restaurants, but Nue really stands out!! It’s a small restaurant but offers a “world of food:)”. The decor is one of a kind, and this service is exceptional! Everyone, from the owner to the hostess, to the cook, made me feel welcomed and accommodated my needs. The food came out super fast, perhaps because they knew I didn’t have much time. The pigtails dish was my absolute favorite, but the brussels sprouts, kale salad and chicken heart poppers are also very good, and very tasty! I will definitely bring my family there for dinner next time I visit so that we can try more dishes. If you like to try food from other parts of the world, you don’t need to travel far. Give Nue a try and you will not be disappointed!!!

Great Food

The food and the service are excellent! They have a unique drink menu as well, I highly recommend this restaurant if you want something different and delicious!

Treat your tastebuds to flavors from around the world, without leaving Capitol Hill!

By BackpackDoc |

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. The whole theme of the restaurant is fabulous, bringing in sights and flavors from around the world. More than just a good idea, as the chef has a terrific palate for wonderful flavors and spices. Few things in life are as good as getting to travel around the world. If you can't do that, might as well enjoy a good meal at Nue and do some barstool travelling!

Great food

By Hanny P |

The menu is unique. They bring famous international dishes into 1 place. I ordered the spicy chicken wings. It's was so good. The wings were crispy, topped with a tasty sauce (it's a combination of fish sauce, lime, chili and other things). My boyfriend ordered goat curry. It came with the pineapple corn bread with a little of shredded coconut on top. The cornbread was moist, flavorful. We also ordered Pig Tail. I love the crispy skin. The meat was a little fatty for me but my bf loved it because it was fatty. Lol. We finished our dinner with French Toast and Bacon flavor and Mexican Corn flavor ice cream. They were so good. Never tried bacon as in a dessert We would love visit again to try out other dishes on their menu.

Eclectic but not tasty

By Natalia Z |

My friends and I choose this place randomly, we were very hungry. The atmosphere looks nice and we decided to eat there. First disappointing thing was poor branch menu, not a big variety of choices. So, I picked garlic fried rice. The second was the restroom. The paper holder was laying on the floor and restroom itself was not clean. The third disappointing thing was serving. Three people from our company got their orders almost in the same time but the fourth order came much later. That's strange cause the fourth order was the same as mine, fried rice, nothing special. And the final disappointing thing was the taste. Sausage was very spicy and had wired taste. Rice was ok, a bit oily. The best thing were eggs. Not sure I'll be back again. 🤔🤔🤔

Always something new and interesting

By Chuck M |

Love the bunny chow, jerk chicken and especially the chicken wings. I can't wait to try their new brunch items, but working every weekend day, it might be hard. Be prepared for spicy and interesting items!

A rare treat

By Maxine S |

Wow! An opportunity to try a creative selection of well-prepared dishes from a variety of cultures / international regions all in one place. Seasonings and spices were expertly melded to create distinctive flavors that all worked so well together. I strongly recommend the brussel sprouts, bunny chow, and either of the wings. Try an original cocktail too.

Ok...

By Ash660 |

My family and I went here for the water Beatles. My brother loves to try exotic food and this was the place to go. Aside from the water Beatles, nothing there was what we expected. It is set up banquet style so there are 3 big tables. If you like privacy than this place may not be for you. It is like an Indian/ Asian fusion food and aside from the Beatles, the food did not look great, we ended up leaving because they didn’t have the Beatles in stock and went to 8oz burger down the street and it was a hit!!

Wonderful food

By JohnMaMercer |

It is no reservation but the menu is worth the wait. Good service and nice atmosphere to sit with other customers. The deocr is ecletic and stimulating. Good place to eat with freiends and family.

I'd move to Seattle just to eat here

By Julie S |

Oh my. Ate at this place on a whim while visiting Seattle and it was amazing. Adorable place, eclectic decor and great service. But most importantly, the food was amazing. Fusion dishes from all over the world and something for everyone, including those with dietary restrictions of all kinds. We had the fried brussel sprouts, Syrian kale salad, vegetable curry, and South African bunny stew (which is chicken). Everything was beyond delicious. I want to go back to Seattle just to eat there. Amazing.

quite satisfying

By andria |

Nue is a small hipsterish restaurant that serves different dishes from across the world. We 4 different dishes, and all were tasty (east indies brussel sprouts 4/5, burmese laphet 5/5, mofongo 3/5, chicken wings 3/5) with our favorite to be the burmese laphet. The service was very good, with all dishes arriving on time. The only negative I can think of is how tight the sitting is. Apart from that, it’s a cool place for informal dining.

Meh. I don't get it.

By LaChatNoir |

After reading all the great reviews, I thought I'd try this eclectic and unusual place near the neighborhood where I am staying. It was an eclectic and unusual menu, unfortunately it wasn't terribly good. Don't get me wrong. It was fine. But nothing I would rave about or would be dying to eat again. It is bustling and noisy, so I'm clearly in the minority. One thing that set my dining experience off on the wrong foot, I waited about 15 minutes after being seated before anyone acknowledged me. I finally caught the eye of the host (I was wedged into the very corner of the restaurant so it was challenging to get up and flag somebody down) and he sent a server over. Once the server realized I was there, things picked up. Tried the pineapple cornbread, which was overcooked (bordering on burnt on the edges) and super dry and crumbly with a mound of flaky coconut that was challenging to eat. The Brussels sprouts were decent, particularly when dipped in one of the two sauces. The chicken wings were fine. Breading was solid, and they were kinda spicy. Nothing to write home about, but fine. Guess I was just hoping it would live up to the hype. Especially considering how pricy it is.

Delicious, eclectic cuisine, great find!

By Tony K |

Casual small spot on 14th Ave. restaurant “row” just off Madison. What a menu of food and drinks - all over the board (or the world) and hits on all flavor cylinders! Decent house Cab at a fair price and very refreshing S. African rock shandy mocktail. Tasty and colorful Syrian kale and shredded carrot salad with bright pomegranate dressing. Had to try the Barbadian pig tails (really !) - a little fatty but tasty jerk pork morsels. Flavorful Puerto Rican Mofongo - garlicky mashes plantains with bacon and smoked chicken chunks. Awesome Brazilian Acaraje - chickpea fritters stuffed with slightly spicy Vatapa (a complex shrimp, peanut and spice mixture). Finished with a delicious Vietnamese coffee (table-brewed espresso with sweet condensed milk). Attentive, well-informed, friendly service! Highly recommended for the adventuresome palate

Feel like home

By Faith K |

I tried different kinds of street food, they were all very delicious! Laksa and chengdu spicy jumbo chicken wings are my favourite! Laksa: rich curry flavour and use of egg noodle offers me a taste of home. *not many place use egg noodle for curry so it's kind of special to eat it in the states! Chicken wings: no comment, you just have to try. It was extremely addicting..... I was full but tempted to eat another one... Goat curry its pretty delicious, but a bit heavy for me. The mixture of goat meat and curry with the corn bread was legit. Anyway, this is the place you should go!!!

interesting small plates

By carley36 |

we shared several very unique and delicious items one evening. It is a great place to try new foods with friendly helpful staff. The long table seating makes it not ideal for a romantic evening.

Great atmosphere, decent service and FIRE chicken wings. Very unique, Thai flavors. Would dine again.

Visit to Seattle

By KCtravelfan |

The food is remarkable! We shared several entrees and starters and we loved each dish. We weren’t daring enough to try the beetles. Definitely worth a return trip.

Delicious and interesting food

By MSANewJersey |

We had an amazing dinner. The menu was so interesting- not your average choices. The portions were generous and everything was extremely well spiced. The Hungarian chicken wings , ribs, eggplant curry, and tea leaf salad were delicious . If we lived near by, we would be here all the time!

A culinary experience

By DGVTrav |

Not the most romantic or comfortable restaurant, but the food is a culinary experience. Every dish we tried was very good and the service friendly and quick. Not for people afraid to try out of the norm dishes. Worth the experience!

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing?

By mshbnyehud |

Here's the good news. Getting a table outside on Nue's expanded front patio at 8 p.m. is not a problem. Or at least it wasn't in my case. Service by Molly was exceptionally prompt and thorough. But then I probably ordered the wrong entree on the menu for my dinner. Decided I wanted a pretty basic meal (despite this being a restaurant that thrives on different and more complex global dishes), and chose the Istanbul Islak "Wet Burger". The dish was served very hot, straight from the griddle, properly wrapped in aluminum foil to seal in the heat and freshness. Turkish spiced fries (a healthy portion), very crispy (a plus) came with the burger. But I didn't particularly enjoy the burger... The meat seemed over cooked, crispy exterior for sure, and impossible to eat without fork and knife (unless you enjoy having your fingers lathered with the spiced tomato based sauce that it is "dipped" in). Not the best $14 investment I've made in an entree. Because service is exceptional and friendly, and the patio ambience nice, I will look to go back and try something else.

Emperors new clothes.

By JKlondon09 |

We really didn’t get the hype with this restaurant! The venue is so tightly packed to be uncomfortable, and there simply isn’t enough space for the tapas style dishes if you are a group trying to try out a range of offerings. We felt service was rushed, and quite unprofessional. The waiter initially tried to Palm us off as a group of 3 at the bar despite the fact we had booked. She didn’t really explain the dishes or size of dishes. Allowed us to totally over order as we didn’t know what to expect. Whilst we love trying new ideas and flavours, we felt this restaurant were trying too hard and resulted in too great a range of very strong and very variant flavours which just didn’t work for any of us. Very disappointed after reading great reviews here.

Incredibly beautiful, unique, and delicious food!

By KellyCruser |

Dining at Nue is an exciting tour through delightful mouth fulls. There are dishes from all over the planet. Everything I ate last time I've never even heard of, from countries where I've never heard or read about the cuisine from, even South Africa. Everything was completely delicious and not at all recognizable. Service was superb and the environment a real pleasure. I plan to eat there a number of times whenever I return to Seattle.

Fabulous food in a casual funky restaurant

By Barb H |

The food experience at Nue is amazing. We were a group of 8, so could try many different dishes from all over the world. We just kept ordering more - from jumbo wings to curries, to Brussels sprouts and Acarajé. The Laphet Toke was our very favourite. It is addictive! Wines were reasonably priced, and the servers all helpful and attentive. We'll definitely go back there next time we're in Seattle.

Great meal

By Michael |

We have visited Nue many times since it first opened about a year ago. Every time we have visited we have enjoyed a variety of dishes and we have been delighted with every one of them. We definitely recommend Nue for both brunch and dinner and we are looking forward to many future visits!

Interesting food for a fun evening

By Karla R |

I went with my husband and two teens for dinner. We had a fun time at Nue and would recommend it for inventive food and nice service. We tried a variety of items and some were home runs (Acaraje) and others were a bit more of a miss (the ice creams were definitely polarizing for my party). But we had fun experimenting with different flavors and dishes. The service was attentive and we didn’t mind the communal seating. A fine evening overall.

Adventure in flavors

By Marty |

Amazing food from a variety of exotic locals. Bring a sense of adventure, not for people who like plain food! Rotating menu but we didn’t have a bad dish - everything was beyond excellent

Recommend: Istanbul Burger & Eggplant Curry

By RajivN |

Good service. The Istanbul Burger and Eggplant curry are great. I wouldn’t recommend the Bunny Chow, though it seems very popular.

Treat your palate to flavors from around the world!

By BackpackDoc |

This is a truly extraordinary place with an eclectic menu from around the world. The owners are socially conscious, occasionally hosting evenings to support worthy causes. Extra kudos for that! Recent negative coverage stemmed from one bitter employee who got fired after pissing everyone off after only 3 hours of work. Ignore her trolling, and celebrate this wonderful gem in Capitol Hill.

Nue and Different Kind of Restaurant

By CYPhung |

The word that comes to mind with this restaurant is "fun". Also maybe "hipster".... This is a great place to try new types of food (get it, "Nue"?!) and different styles of cuisine from around the world. I went with friends and we sat at a long table, sharing with other patrons -- there are three long tables and bar seating, along the front window and in the very back. We made a reservation for Saturday night and didn't have any trouble getting seats. (Parking on Capitol Hill is another thing, a notorious nightmare, so beware.) I loved the ambiance with the twinkle lights and paper lanterns. Then there is the bookcase full of eclectic odds and ends, almost like the "I Spy" books come to life. The food was really good. We chose three dishes to share: Puerto Rican Mofongo, Laotian Nhem Khao (Crispy Rice Salad) and Hungarian Paprikash Jumbo Chicken Wings. (I wanted to try the water beetles, but my friends weren't game.) We liked the mofongo the best, really unique flavors. I've had nhem khao before from a traditional Laotian restaurant and this was a little different, with squares of crispy rice cakes (instead of broken up) and I liked the subtle twist. The chicken wings were just ok -- if you like dill, these are for you. Dessert was our favorite: liquid nitrogen Mexican sweet corn ice cream. It reminded me of the unique flavors you can get in Portland at Salt and Straw. Highly recommend their ice cream and I would go back just for the desserts!

Father's brunch

By rainydaysunshine |

My husband is a big foodie and Nue certainly did not disappoint! The cornbread will live with us for a very long time and has changed the way we will be serving it here at home. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting so many regions and sharing the flavors. Reservations are highly recommended. Here is his fb post on nue... loving the international take on brunch for my father's day breakfast. we'll visit holland, chengdu, the philippines, puerto rico and the golden mountain... then its down to cheer the mariners at safeco... rocking awesome day so far... loving my culinary adventure crew.

Nue is a must go restaurant

By Don Merry |

We started our brunch with Tower of Chengdu Wings. My son had Nue’s Signature Chengdu Fried Chicken Wings with Green Szechuan Peppercorn, Fish Sauce, Lime, Chili, Basil, Mint, Thai Chili, Maple Syrup and Waffle. I had the Filipino Tosilog— Housemade Tocino (cured pork), Sinangag Garlic Fried Rice, Soy & Chili Vinegar, Two Sunny-Side-Up Eggs. It’s impossible to describe this restaurant. They have such a wide variety of international food: Dutch Pannekoeken; Filipino Tosilog; Puerto Rican Mofongo; Israeli Shakshuka; Mexican Desayuno Michoacana; Classic Michoacan Breakfast; Flemish Frites; Dutch Patat Oorlog (War Chips); Syrian Kale & Carrot Salad. And that is just the brunch menu!!! You need to come here and have the best food on Capital Hill

Your paying for the presentation

By Tigereg |

Service was good but was a little disappointed in the food. The food wasn't horrible but for the price I wasn't impressed. The presentation of the dishes was great.

Overall, my favorite restaurant in Seattle

By petern1012016 |

I would consider myself a non-pretentious foodie; I love and appreciate all sorts of food and have always enjoyed exploring different restaurants. With so many restaurants in Seattle to choose from, it's rare that I will opt to return to a place, rather than trying something new. Neu is one of those rare exceptions. In my opinion, Nue is pound for pound, dollar for dollar, the best restaurant in Seattle. I had cousins visit from out of town and they went through the typical high profile restaurants in both Portland and Seattle and yet, their favorite was also Nue. The food is delicious and varied, the staff are amazingly pleasant and kind, and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. I have had almost every item on the menu and you can't go wrong. Definitely try the Bunny Chow though.

Great place for people watching and chowder

By KevinAGould |

After facing the crowds in Pike Market this is a great spot to stop have a chowder and watch people. The food is great and the view entertaining. The waitstaff was friendly and the menu diverse. The seating is tight so expect to meet other tourist.

I really wanted to like this restaurant

By swb_muir_beach |

Nue has a wonderfully eclectic menu, and a great atmosphere, with long communal tables and outdoor seating. From the past reviews, I was very excited to take my adult son to dinner there. Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ended. Our waitress, while seeming to have a nice disposition, deposited us at our table with menus and didn't reappear for 10 minutes (despite the restaurant being only 1/2 full). She never mentioned that the concept of the restaurant is family-style eating, which I only found out from overhearing the other waiter explain to a newly seated couple after we'd placed our food order. After she finally returned to take our order, we waited another 20 minutes before flagging down the other waiter and asking him to help us track down our cocktails/appetizers/waitress. I suspected that she never submitted our order at all, as four other tables who came in after us received their food while we were still waiting on our cocktails. After finally receiving our food, I ordered a glass of wine, which never appeared at all, nor did our waitress (the other waiter ended up bringing us our check after yet another 20 minute wait). So, this restaurant rates among the worst service I've experienced, despite the efforts of the other (very kind) waiter who stepped in to help. Now for the food. I ordered a Lemon Drop cocktail, the first sip of which had me coughing and gasping. It had not been mixed, and the jalapeno tequila was just floating on top. I like jalapeno/spicy drinks, which is why I ordered it. However, I found this drink to be quite unpleasant, with the spice overwhelming any other sensation in the drink. The East Indian Brussel sprouts were tasty when dipped in the sauces, but could have had more crunch. The Spicy Jumbo Chicken wings were quite good and had the right level/expected spiciness, albeit incredibly sticky (not even the wet wipes they offered were enough). The Brazilian Acaraje was both bland and quite spicy at the same time. Nothing is marked as to level of spiciness, so buyer beware on any particular dish. From just these three dishes, it felt like the chef was trying to overcompensate with spicy red peppers I don't give a 2-star review lightly, but the food was "just OK" and the service was terrible. The final straw was feeling incredibly sick for the rest of the night. One would hope this was a one-off bad experience, but I certainly won't take the chance on this restaurant again.

Always loved it here

I’m from here. This is my go to! It’s really delicious and service is always amazing staff is kind and always aware. They always greet me. I just love it here! Thank always !

Delicious pan-ethnic lunch

By Tom S |

Wonderful, adventurous food from around the world. I had Filipino Tosilog; my wife had chicken & waffles. We shared cornbread with pineapple and coconut. Everything was top-notch and far from boring. Seating is at several long tables-- so you might eat right next to strangers if it's busy. The decor in the dining room provides a lot to look at!

All around great place.

By Cheryl C |

Attentive service, tasty food, charming atmosphere. Looking forward to returning and trying other dishes. Only complaint is the seating arrangements. Made reservations for 2. In a sparsely populated restaurant, we were seated next to the only other people at the communal table which made talking and listening harder than it needed to be. Maybe the were expecting a brunch/lunch rush on that Sunday morning- but it never happened. We were the last ones there by 12:40! (Hint- perhaps Sundqy mornings are a good time to get a seat!)

Nue is an excellent restaurant for global street food.

By Oliver S |

Nue is an innovate restaurant with great diversity in terms of street food. We enjoyed the South African Bunny Chow, the Filipino Tapsilog-cured pork and garlic fried rice, and the Chengdu Chicken and Waffles. The pineapple and coconut cornbread is among the best we have had. The Vietnamese iced coffee and the Coco Rico are fantastic. The service at the restaurant is friendly and efficient.

Horrible

By Q37879 |

This place is f-ed up and racist. I had a vaccination card but they would not let me dine. The only place in Seattle that doesn’t accept my vaccination card during my trip here hmm …

Overpriced and overrated

By Xiaosu X |

Went for brunch and ordered the dish with octopus. For $20 I expected a much bigger portion. I could barely find any octopus in the dish, which tasted pretty weird. I got the impression they just threw in exotic names for their food items and experimented with "creative" flavors. Not my type of food and not filling at all with the small portion. I was very disappointed and decided to give a 2-star to balance out the overwhelming good ratings. This place is extremely overrated in my opinion.

Something neu

By Khai L |

This is the place if you want something neu for a change. You could basically travel the world and try a variety of cuisines from this little restaurant in one fell swoop. The restaurant is rather small so you might have to burst your personal space bubble before sitting down at the community table. The food is pretty delicious. Balinese BBQ spared ribs are rich in flavor and tender in texture. Brazilian Acaraje is like ice-cream sandwiches with savory filling. There's a familiar taste to dry shrimp in Asian cuisine I find in this Brazilian dish. Their drinks are pretty decent and as diverse as their food. I was advised against the Bunny Chow and the Chicken Wings, so I didn't have a chance to try them. Bring a group of friends so you can sample more dishes.

Fun Decor, Eclectic Menu, Loved It!

By Nancy D |

I loved this place. It’s totally charming with crazy decor and decorations from around the world. The menu is eclectic and creative with world flavors that dance in your tongue. The place is relatively small with long tables you’ll share with other patrons. I adored this place. The kale and carrot salad was extraordinary. The danish cake dessert was superb. I think you’ll really enjoy this place. Highly recommended.

Amazing food

By Don W |

We ordered the cornbread, Brussels sprouts, acarajé, and bunny chow. Everything was amazing! The acarajé was like a crab cake stuffed in a hush puppy bun. The bunny chow had a great curry flavor with the perfect balance of spice. The bartender also treated us to his take on an old fashioned. Quite possibly my new favorite drink.

Great neighborhood restaurant

By Trav42CA |

Bustling neighborhood restaurant with an interesting menu featuring foods from many countries around the world. The carrot salad was wonderful... taste the cumin, close your eyes and be transported to a foreign land! Bring your own wine as the choices are limited and the cab we chose from the menu left A LOT to be desired. The wines, are, though, reasonably priced.

Food from around the world

By heydeets |

A great place in Capitol Hill for food and cocktails! As a Singaporean, I was so happy to find this place. The sour plum cocktail was nostalgic and the Malaysian Roti Cannai was authentic and delicious!

Eclectic fare

By Leslie Davenport |

We came here with our son and his girlfriend after they moved to Seattle from Virginia. My husband had Filipino Tosiliog and I had Chengdu chicken and waffle. They had the Israeli Shakshuka and the South African Sunny Bunny. Side of cornbread is a must have! Food all around was amazing. Service was was good as well in a very busy spot.

Delicious Food

By singhalanju |

It is a nice small restaurant which serves delicious food. Ambience is lively and great too. Brussels sprouts are very good. Kale and carrot salad is good too. One vegetarian Malaysian Curry Kentang that we ordered was super delicious. Pineapple corn bread is nice too. They serve it with coconut shavings which makes it even better.

A Nue Way to Dine

By Tim S |

Nue is a truly remarkable restaurant, probably different from any experience you've had unless you've backpacked around Asia. The communal dining might at first seem tight, but then you meet your neighbors and it feels more like you're hanging out with fellow travelers experiencing a whole new perspective on dining. The food is the best part of the visit. The flavors are bold ad unique and while at first would not seem to go together, they end up all complimenting each other. I personally love the chengdu wings, the smoked jerk chicken with beans, the goat curry and of course the liquid nitro ice cream. Highly recommended!!

Eclectic Lunch

By Hystericalhappiness |

We made Yelp reservations for 1:30 but not necessary on a Wednesday in December with only 5 other customers. Attentive waitperson/bartender. Ambiance is eclectic with wall of old pinball machine, storage for wine and beer, and global knick knacks housed in 2×4/crate construction. Open kitchen. My husband enjoyed the Filipino Tosilog with sweet pork, rice, and egg which he would revisit in a heart beat. We enjoyed the fried chicken wings with kick bootay thai chilis. Brussel sprouts not very crispy. Flemish frites disappointing if you are Dutch like me or like steak frites. Not thin and crispy but waiter took off the bill. Husband enjoyed specialty cocktail while I enjoyed semi dry California brut champagne. Great sauces and spices. $95 lunch with tip. Try it for something different if you desire spices, sauces, and global street food.

Eclectic Deliciousness

By Pharmergirl99 |

Small, funky restaurant. Eclectic mix of cocktails and food. Delicious Brussels sprout appetizer, different from what every other restaurant offers. Nice mix of Brazilian fish fritters (fried), vegetarian stew, and curried chicken "bunny" bread bowl. But the highlight for me was the dessert Brrrr-rito. It was crepe-style, stuffed with an ice cream mixture that tasted sort of like phad thai, in the best possible way. Our meal was quick and unpretentious, not a long gourmet feast, but it satisfied our taste buds on every level. We were seated at a long table, next to other groups, but it was unobtrusive and allowed us to observe some of our choices from next door.

Great place with plenty of flavourful choices!

By Kenny H |

Nue has become a default place to go with options to satisfy any craving or mood. The East Indies Brussels Sprouts and Grilled Barbadian Pig Tails have emerged as favourite "appetisers" followed by Trinidadian Goat Curry and Jamaican Jerk Chicken for "entrees". Depending on mood for spicy or sweet, the Chengdu Spicy or Hungarian Paprika Jumbo Chicken Wings are consistent favourites. The exotic flavours of the Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream always find a sweet spot. The Malaysian Curry Laksa with a McNguyen cocktail is my comfort zone at the bar.

Great ambiance, great food, great service!

By Debra B |

The food here focuses on international street food, with an upscale spin for sure. My friend and I had two appetizers and one entree between us (and two cocktails). Kale salad was delicious, as were the brussel sprouts. The main dish was also outstanding. We passed on the water beetle appetizer, but they do offer adventurous options!

Street Food in a Fun Setting

By Anthropologie |

We recently dined at this unique and creative restaurant. We enjoyed the wide variety of street food from all over the world, and loved the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Among the highlights was the fresh, light Syrian salad, the pineapple cornbread, and the Brazilian fritters. Their entrees were equally delicious, such as the Laksa and the Persian sweet pea salad. We appreciated how vegetarian friendly they were-- including adapting one of their dishes to be meat free. Definitely would recommend to those looking for an variety of fun, small bites in an unpretentious setting.

Awesome restaurant!

By Don C |

The food was all delicious! There were 4 of us who went and we shared our various entrees! Everything was fresh and tasty! I would highly recommend eating here when visiting Seattle!

Now Bit Pricey....Yummy

By jtssea |

The flavors here are still wonderful. We felt the portions got a bit smaller and the prices became higher. The small plate bunnychow was $20 and had very little meat. The ribs are $35 but tasty!! Neither dish is big enough for one person. Still fun & yummy. The wings are the bomb! Thet now have a happy hour fri & saturday with food specials and $2off cocktails. Bar still inconsistent with drinks. (Ie ordered 3 of same cocktail for 3 ppl and ea one looked a different shade and color..really?) It is all tight communal seatting which can get a bit crowded when ordering dishes. I will still return for the wings.

For the Food Risk Taker!

By egchora |

If you love unusual street food, then this is the place for you. Their menu has a variety of foods that can be found around the world. We went on a Saturday evening and there was plenty of seating, keep in mind that it is all communal seating. The host/waiter was prompt to seat and serve us. He also gave us some good food recommendations, so don't hesitate to ask before you order. This establishment has happy hour everyday from 3-6 pm so that would be a good opportunity to try a few things on the menu without breaking the bank. There is a tiny bar in the back that offers beer and alcoholic drinks as well.

Rocking

By 4words |

Went here for my birthday. Never been to seattle before. Bartender was super nice, had a wealth of local knowledge, made a mean old fashioned, and was a genuine entertainer. Food was superb. Octopus skewers, curry, and chicken paprikash all were scrumptious.

Tastes from around the world!

By jejesan |

I have been to Nue many times and brought different friends to this place; each time was a delightful experience. I personally enjoy the owners and their staff's attention to customers. It makes the place feel very warm and welcoming. I also applaud them for constantly renewing their menu to introduce new dishes frequently. Their liquid nitrogen ice cream is to die for (especially the popcorn flavored one)! I also love the way tables are set up, it's very communal. The bar in the back is very cozy. I've had cocktails there and staff was very knowledgeable. The food is Nue's secret sauce. They take inspirations from their travel as well as from others. Portion is generous. I love their Katsu sandwich and am hoping this will be made a staple on their menu. They recently opened for brunch as well. The cornbread was just right - crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside. I can't wait for the next food adventure at Nue!

Don't leave without visiting Nue!

By Jess413 |

We ❤️ Nue. The food and ice cream was scrumptious 😉. After I had the Luxor I loved it so much it inspired me to eat chilli more even though I used to hate it and cannot wait to come back and try more of the delicious food!

A good place to go if you want good food

By Yen D |

The food is so authentic and delicious. Also service is great everyone, who works here is so nice. I also delivered from Nue and they delivered on time and the set up very nice.

Cool space, amazing food!

By Chad W |

Randomly discovered this place while touring Capitol Hill. Loved the rad décor. Had the goat curry and pig tails -- one of the best things we ate on our trip!

Nue is a brunch haven

By Blaise S |

Pencil is amazing great service and good suggestions on food. Would definitely suggest the chicken and waffles or the tosilog

Fusion Street Food on another level!

By Charming_Karl |

The decor in Nue is definitely one of the memorable aspects - the wall with its many decorations and bottles of beer and wine, etc., representing pretty much every culture whose cuisine is found on the menu is full of charm and humor and grit - just marvelous. And as for the food, it definitely has a street food feeling, which is not to say that there aren't sophisticated things going on there. I am allergic to dairy and the hostess ran through the menu with me, and there were quite a few things I could order. I had the Brazilian Acaraje and grilled pig tails. Wow, lots of flavor, and (for me) a good bit of spice as well. A memorable dinner for sure, and not for the faint of heart or stomach (did I tell you they have Thai water beetles on the menu?).

Chicken Wings and Beetles

By jenncupcake |

Nue is a special place that serves international dishes. One of my favorite items is the chicken wings and corn bread. The most interesting thing on the menu that I will definitely will not try is the water beetles. I have seen people order this dish and it comes with three giant beetles! I heard it is very fragrant, like flowers.

Bunny chow & marvelous international eats!

By Gwynn S |

I lived several years in South Africa and loved eating the bunny chow while there. It was impossible to find when I got back to London though, so I was really surprised to see it offered at Nue during my trip to Seattle (of all the places!) Food was marvelous. Try the arabesque and the octopus if you visit.

Unique everything, tasty food, cool atmosphere and friendly helpful wait staff!

By Jackey B |

I just finished my (very tasty) leftovers from my dinner last night at Nue which inspired me to write this review . I am in town for business and currently an American who lives in Bangkok Thailand. So the idea of street food, that is safe and touches many palates from around the world was interesting to me. I read all the great reviews on other sites and as well the great write ups they have gotten since they opened last year. I figured with such positive response from the locals on this place how could I go wrong. Walking into the place you immediately notice the decor is inline with their street food concept with many unique art objects from around the world. I asked the wait person where all this stuff came from, as it covered so many places from around the globe. Their response was " it was collected by the owners during their many travels: , I thought wow cool! I found myself just looking around during my entire time there at all the cool pieces they had collected. So you will be in for a visual treat while you are dining at Nue. The menu was very broad but very put together. It was not huge which is great because they could have over done it with that but it was very well thought out. Offering some exotic items and some unique but tasty dishes that will please just about anyone including some great vegetarian dishes. It was such an interesting menu I decided to try 4 items while I was planning to take home what I did not eat. I had the Barbados Pigs Tails because it sounded interesting and the sauce it was served with was the perfect compliment. As well I tried the Cubano sandwich with plantain chips which were home made I believe. For my other items I decided to jump across the globe to have the Malaysian Curry Laksa and the South African Bunny Chow as I read so much about it on other reviews I certainly had to try it. The food presentation was delightful and you could certainly tell that they take pride on how they plate a dish. It was nice to see my food look good as well as taste good! The bar menu recipes were just as unique as the food menu. I had a Lerma Drop which had Infused Habanero Tequila which they prepare in the bar. I tried also a Beetle Juice which had Triple Distilled Vodka Infused with Mangdana (Thai Water Beetle). I had to look at the menu again to remember what was in the drinks but certainly catches your eye as you are reading through and trying to decide what you should try first. They also have Cobra wine which I have seen in Thailand but never have tried but looking at the bottle with a cobra and scorpion almost inspired me to give a try, maybe next time. Desert was no question, as I love ice cream and wanted to try the liquid nitrogen ice cream. I tell you it was the creamiest delicious ice cream I ever had. It was explained to me that it freezes at such a cold temperature and so quickly it allows the cream to bond better or something like that. I had the French Toast flavor which really tasted like french toast and had little pieces of candied bacon in it which was also tasty. The wait staff were very friendly and knew menu inside and out as I am the kind of person who asks a lot of questions when trying new and interesting food. I was impressed with their dedication in answering all my questions even as busy as the place was. I apologized for taking so much of their time but they said it was not a problem and they are use to answering questions about the interesting menu items. I felt their level of interested in my questions was not derived for making a better tip which was nice. I would easily say that this was one of the better places I have gone to and hit 5 out 5 for me. It will for now on be a must do place when I am Seattle as the experience is a complete and desirable one. I would highly recommend Nue to anyone traveling to Seattle as a great place to eat!

An experience for your tongue

By Heaterhabs |

The foods at this restaurant were some of the most unique dishes we’ve ever experienced. All 3 of us ordered different meals and we shared. If you are going for brunch, the South African Sunny Bunny and the Filipino Tosilog were both unbelievable. If you go for their version of chicken and waffles (Chengdu), be aware that the chicken wings were extremely spicy. We also had the loaded fries (Dutch Patat Oorlog War Chips) and they were awesome. And definitely order the coconut and pineapple cornbread!!! If you’re looking for something different and eclectic and don’t mind trying new dishes, this is your spot.

Outstanding, always!

By Sarah H |

I have lived in Seattle now for over a decade. Nue is my go-to place to take family, friends, and is also setup to easily accommodate those eating by themselves. The delicious and unique flavors served here are something I have not found anywhere else in Seattle. Chris and Uyen have done an outstanding job! The thoughtful decor, warm ambience, and friendly staff truly complete the whole the experience. Their Vietnamese coffee ice cream is a must!

Casual, delightful, delicious and fun

By taxdestroyer |

I visited with my brother and sister in law. They were big fans of the goat curry, an excellent dish. Out of curiosity we ordered the South African Bunny Chow. It was so good, we ordered a second round. We tried a few other dishes that were well prepared but unremarkable. By now, we were pretty full. We were told by a waiter that the Jamaican jerk chicken was the best item on the menu. We all agreed with that assessment after consuming every speck of a double order.

Good place to enjoy dinner with family

By Shon N |

This restaurant is really good. I love some Asian foods. I think I will be back to enjoy more different foods with my family as soon as I can.

Delicious gem in the neighborhood

By Hiroko E |

One of my favorite restaurants in my neighborhood!! I've been in here for both brunch and dinner several times now, and everything I've tried has been so flavorful and delicious. My favorite items are: war chips, Chengdu Chicken & Waffles, South African sunny bunny, goat curry, crispy rice salad, and sandwich ice cream. I keep coming back to try something new. :) I've met the owner at the restaurant a few times now, and he's such a kind man who cares about the quality of food and respect multicultural cuisines. Anyone who loves flavorful yummy dishes from around the world must try Nue!

WOW! Brunch was Amazing!!

By secheermom |

Nue was a completely new experience for me. I'm typically not adventurous when if comes to food; but it had been recommended to me so we gave it a try. Our server Brooke was Wonderful! She was very attentive, gave us some great recommendations and nicely answered all of our questions. Everything we tried was Amazing!! We definitely recommend the Caribbean Cornbread and the Chengdu Chicken and Waffles. We will definitely be back and want to experience the One World Dinner. Oh, and the Cafeteria Style seating was fun as well. We were comparing dishes with the people next to us.

Diverse & unique food

By Mary D |

Nue offers so many dishes that I have not seen anywhere else, whether in Seattle or San Francisco, or most other cities. The food is an explosion of flavors!

Delicious adventures!

By Dieu Hien H |

Fun menu with adventurous items from around the world. Had the Taiwanese Chicken Heart Poppers and McNguyen Coffee. Delicious! Need to go back and try the rest of the menu. Food and drink both.

By Canadian Traveller |

The service was great and the food was delicious. A unique set of flavours with delicious dishes from all over the world. Highly recommended .

Meh...overrated clap clap

By jonah s |

Classic example of the meal I can't stand. The food is tasty, the portions tiny and the prices through the roof. I Dont mind paying for a meal if it's great, has an amazing experience and I leave satisfied. We left here and went for dinner after! The bull for the 4 of us was $180!! One well drink each. The food was fine, the wings great and the cornbread amazing. Small portions and a selection that tried to damn hard. Add to that a clueless waiter (maybe write things down) and it was another Seattle "gem" that I won't return to.

Very Unique dinning experience

By Jerry U |

Looking for something completely different? You have found it! Love the different tastes from around the world. Will definitely go back. Brooke was extremely knowledgeable about their different selections.

Great Eclectic Food

By ronzam |

Very good food from a choice of very unusual dishes, all very moderately priced. The restaurant is extremely casual, with interesting and funky decor. The service was pleasant and good. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining and recommend Nue highly.

Delicious Global Flavors - Unique and Well Executed!

By Tammie C |

Love this place. I grew up in LA, spent time in the bay area and have traveled quite a bit. I love Seattle, but unfortunately Seattle's food scene is a little behind. In comes Nue-- finally something innovative AND tasty. They have a eclectic menu with signature dishes from around the world which makes it fun and interesting. I particularly love their take on their fried chicken and waffles. 2 wings and 2 drum sticks perfectly cooked with the right amount of crunch and amazing flavor- a little spicy, a little salty, a little sweet-- it's a dish you won't want to miss. And if it's too spicy, there's always extra syrup to dip them in which is always a good mix :) Friends all ordered different things and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Nue's bunny chow is definitely a winner as well with it's explosive flavors and great portion of meat. The cool vibe, good service and yummy drinks round out the rest of the place. Nue my go-to for a unique, fun and delicious brunch in Seattle's Cap Hill district! Highly recommend!

Great food

By msannarh |

Always interesting menu choices, fun decor, friendly staff. Street food from around the world. Bold flavors. A great place to try new things.

Love the flavor, wished they rotated the menu more often

By Felip B |

Nue is a haven for globetrotters and certainly isn't shy to treat your taste buds! If you're looking for a fun moment in Seattle, check them out! That said, would be nice to see a more global menu and perhaps more rotation. Having been there several times this past year, I wish my options were as diverse as my travels.

A unique dining experience in a wonderful city!

By Anhao S |

I traveled to Seattle with my family for a quick vacation and stopped into Nue for dinner one evening. Firstly, I love the eclectic style and ambiance of the place - a very warm and inviting place for family and friends. Secondly, the food. The food is amazing. I especially love the chicken wings and goat curry! And don't forget about the cornbread, with pineapple - yes, it's amazing. Finally, the cocktails. I don't remember what it was but I asked for something similar to a manhattan and they made me something that was far better than your traditional manhattan. Overall, a wonderful experience!!!!

Excellent Asian Street Food/Fusion

By michaelbV3219AW |

Great food, service and value. Quaint location tucked away in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. I had the Malaysian Curry Laksa and East Indies Brussels Sprouts. Both were excellent. Can't wait to go back and try the other eclectic dishes.

Brunch of Happiness!

By Culture812596 |

You will not recognize many foods on the menu, but you will love them all the same. The owner took his love of food and travel to bring Seattle some of the best flavors on offer in this vast and wonderful land. I had Filipino Tosilog, which was a wild and amazing set of flavors, perfect for Brunch followed by cornbread for dessert. Yep, you read that right, cornbread with toasted coconut, butter, and maple syrup. Made my little southern heart go pitter patter. I also discovered a love of Beerloa as a base for Bloody Mary’s - fantastic, spicy, yet beery and limey. Not sure how it works but It does. The folks beside me had Chengdu chicken and waffles, the Mexican Desayuno Michoacana, the Chengdu wings, Dutch Pannekoeken, and Israeli Shakshuka, and all of us cleaned our plates. All looked AMAZING. The place is packed but the staff are friendly, service is surprisingly fast, and everyone is having a good time. Funky yet warm vibe matches the food perfectly. The check was delivered in a travel book for Cambodia- perfect!

Everything on the menu is unique

By lsdean |

Just discovered this place and had to check it out. Described as eclectic world street food which fits the bill. Great place to try something different because that's what it's all about. Had the Taiwanese chicken heart poppers, Syrian kale and carrot salad, South African bunny chow (chicken breast, Indian masala, lime, cilantro, in a bread bowl) and house made pineapple cornbread. Had to have dessert... nitrogen Vietnamese coffee ice cream. All truly wonderful.

Cornucopia of street flavors

By Avi E |

This place has a variety of street foods that it serves for regular fare without the smell of an engine running. Atmosphere was really good. Be prepared to sit in long table with other people. Prices on the high side for street food in my opinion. Flavors are good too and you have quite a few to pick from. Overall I recommend it but wished the prices were lower. Won’t come here too often.

A savory treat!

By Thuy Thuc Uyen |

The hardest part is narrowing down what to order with the wide ranging offerings from water beetles to Balinese spareribs and Ghanaian stew! I didn't even know there was such a thing as pomegranate molasses and candlenut. But now I'm here for it! So order the Chengdu chicken wings (because that is the must) and let your taste buds go adventuring. And bring your friends!

Undercooked Fish, Overpriced Menu, Inattentive Wait Staff, Uncomfortable Seating.

By Cellowu |

My title summarized the reasons why I would NOT recommend this place. First and foremost, undercooked fish is unacceptable. Eating partially cooked seafood not only is awful, but also a potential health hazard. We knew the dish, Branzino Platter (from the menu: Zanzibarian Samaki Wa Kupaka Platter), is undercooked because upon our first bite it tastes very fishy. We also found it difficult to separate flesh from the vertebrae. When we conveyed our concern to our inattentive waiter (mentioned later), he simply said it looked cooked. Neither did he apologize nor did he offer to send it back to the kitchen. Second, overprice. Simply scan the menu on its website, you will understand that even without any alcoholic beverage, the bill will add up to 100 bucks if you order 4 dishes for a party of 2. Third, our waiter, a young man, ignored us almost the whole time. When we sat down, there were two empty glasses in front of us. He offered no water even after we finished ordering. During our dining, he did not come back to check with us, neither did he clean up and change the messy plates. We actually had to flag down another waitress to help us. We had a reservation for 2, but we were seated on the bench facing the window directly in front of the sidewalk, not on a table. The restaurant maximizes its profit by putting way too many tables and seats in a limited space, making seating uncomfortable and dining experience a nightmare. Not recommended.

Globe-trotting by Dish

By Christian C |

Recently my wife and I have found ourselves unable to spend time travelling, compelled to be frugal by immigration authorities and Johnny Law. It was in part out of a sense of growing wanderlust then that we selected Nue as our treat for the month, a restaurant we hadn't heard of with an exciting menu of dishes pulled from all over the world of cuisine. I'm happy to report that Nue more than lived up to expectations. This food is HEAVENLY. We loved every meal (Taiwanese Chicken Heart Poppers, Chengdu Spicy Jumbo Chicken Wings, Trinidadian Goat Curry, and South African Chocolate Malva) and came away very satisfied not only with the flavor but the value and hunger-sating power of each dish. There are tons of other items we look forward to trying and I think the menu manages to be fresh and interesting will never sacrificing approachability. The restaurant is charmingly small, with the kitchen open and to your left as you enter. There's a little bar at the back and a welcoming, clean interior featuring lots of little knick-knacks and souvenirs chosen to evoke adventure. They even bring your bills in old copies of city travel guides, which I thought was a cute touch. There is also outdoor seating space if you feel so inclined, but it's small and could use more pizzazz in my opinion. Maybe that's on a to-do list of the restauranteurs. The service we received was okay. There wasn't anything especially noteworthy to say of it, but neither was there anything to criticize. Do yourself a favour and give Nue a try. It was just what we needed to stave off the home body blues.

One of my top places in Seattle

By tnguyen222 |

As a recent transplant from Atlanta who isn't that impressed with the Seattle food scene, this is one of the few spots that I keep coming back to (and recommending to friends) because the food, drinks, and atmosphere are always on point. I would definitely recommend sharing plates with friends to have a taste of everything, but my favorites include the cornbread, goat curry, bunny chow, and chicken wings. Not only is the food great, the owners are amazing folks who have painstakingly captured the spirit of different cultures through their food.

Overpriced and gimmicky

By echode |

Sat at the bar so at least our service was attentive. We had the water beetles (a teaspoon-worth of sharp/floral mush), Chengdu chicken wings (tasted more SE Asian), and a forgettable Brussels sprout dish. Add a beer, a mezcal, and a non-alc beverage, all of a sudden it's $100+. My companions had the foresight to eat before this dinner, but I left hangry. Entree prices for tapas sizes, billed as street food. Only in Seattle...

Everything about Nue is fantastic

By Northwestsong |

Everything about Nue is fantastic. This is excellent fare, thoughtfully prepared and served. We were thrilled by the experience. "Thoughtful" came up again and again when we talked about our evening later. The atmosphere is comfortable and the prices were reasonable, especially when you consider how high quality, wide-ranging, evolved the preparations are. Simply delicious use of spices and fresh ingredients. And the service! Our highest compliments to Jameson and Mitch who are knowledgeable and professional staff. No restaurant can make it without people like this.

A tastebud adventure!

By Runtoseetheworld |

Firstly- book in advanced and go earlier in the morning on the weekend to ensure the best experience. This is NOT your average brunch! Come with your palate passport- the South African sunny bunny curry in a bread bowl (ie half a loaf of bread) was delicious and tender, and I don’t usually like chicken! My partner loved the the Tosilog (that rice!!) Don’t forget the cocktails!! The menu encourages you to stray from the usual mimosa- be brave and embrace the NUE, the risk is worth it!

one of my favorite restaurant while i traveling in US for a month.

What a find!

By jessica q |

We went to this eclectic little place for brunch on Saturday. The staff are friendly and helpful. But the food is really outrageously good. The Dutch Pannekoeken with Mushrooms made my tongue jump for joy! Sweet and savory, and delightful. Also had a Lermon Drop, which has habanero pepper infused liquor and is delicious. This is a wonderful little spot, and we'll be back!

Are you a food explorer? Then don't miss this place!

By jypark0407 |

I am not a foodie. I don't care that much about food, honestly. However, NUE changed my perception about food. The restaurant serves food from all around the world - I would call it 'World Fusion.' From food on familiar side (Jamaican Jerk Chicken) to less familiar (Grilled Barbadian Pig Tail, South African Bunny Chow), you can find a variety of culinary experience you wouldn't find in other places. Food is served quick and provides a variety of flavor to tap your palate. The place is cute and cozy with eclectic art collections around the world. Also, ask for the secret menu, which will be the highlight of this restaurant... Water Beetle! The presentation might scare you, but if you dare to try, it will open up a whole new world. It's hard to describe how it tastes... for me I'd say like a rainbow.

For Tantalizing Spiced Dishes......this is the place!

By Chip L |

We chose Nue because they had goat curry, something we had heard of but never tried. What an excellent choice. The restaurant specializes in fabulous spices and tastes that are far from ordinary. The two headline dishes are the Caribbean Jerk chicken, and the goat curry. We also had the pigs tail, kale salad, and pineapple octopus skewers as hors d'oeuvres. The pineapple cornbread could be a meal in itself. The restaurant seating is non-traditional resembling a pizza parlor with long bench tables. Great for groups, fun for an informal dinner, perhaps not perfect for that serious relationship 1:1. The beer is bottled.........so the place isn't perfect. They do have an extensive

Great find

By Lynne L |

This is a very eclectic restaurant with cafeteria like seating ( ie long tables, so you and your party are sitting next to others. But don't let that deter you. The food was great and definitely made to share. My friend and I had carrot & kale salad ( yummy) and the brussel sprout appetizer ( delicious). As a main course we shared the wings ( spicy) and bunny chow ( delicious). Glad we found this spot- worth going to!

Great Food, Great Value

By Gatis R |

Go when it rains, Monday thru Wednesday & they'll offer WINE bottles at 25% off. Just an added bonus for a creative menu which we thought was reasonably priced.

Truly a treat

By Vacationer264253 |

Picked this restaurant off a random internet search because it sounded interesting and am truly impressed! Amazing food, incredible diversity and variety. Had the pineapple cornbread, the octopus skewers, the goat curry Jamaican jerk chicken and the fried milk. Uyen is a wonderful and friendly proprietor who with her husband has selected menu items inspired from their travels. Few reviews, but they have only been in business for 10 months. Well worth a try if you like variety and adventure!

An Experience

By Randal T |

Luckily we had a group of five, so we were able to sample six different dishes, and every one of them was it's own little adventure. Beautifully presented dishes from around the world, you will find something you like, guaranteed. Our favorites were the Trinidadian goat curry, the South African Bunny Chow, and the wings. The Mofongo was great too. The Thai beetles were a novelty pick, but not really worth it. Cocktails were excellent.

a foodie's delight

By dragonfly129 |

A terrific selection of street food found around the world brought to this tiny place in Capitol Hill, a district filled with new and trendy restaurants for Foodie's to check out. On our visit, we didn't try the Balut which are semi developed embryos but we had sumptuous small plates of grilled pig tails, Korean chicken wings which were really hot and spicy, South African Bunny Choe, Cubano sandwich and finished with nitrogen infused ice cream. The nitrogen is supposed to bring out the flavor. This food was really outstanding and I will definitely come back regularly as the menu will change from time to time.

A Flavorful Passport Without Leaving Seattle!

By Beyond Borders |

Nue is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite restaurant in Seattle and every visit feels like a new adventure. The moment you step inside, you’re embraced by this cozy, eclectic aesthetic that feels like a tribute to global street food culture. Vintage travel posters, vibrant dishes from every corner of the world, and that unmistakable buzz of people excited about their meals it all comes together to create an atmosphere that’s both inviting and full of wanderlust. What keeps me coming back time and time again is the menu it’s always changing, always surprising, and always delicious. Whether it’s a bold, spicy dish from Southeast Asia or a comforting plate inspired by European classics, they consistently deliver on flavor and creativity. It truly feels like you’re tasting the world, one plate at a time. No matter how many times I visit, I’m never bored they do an amazing job of keeping things fresh, and yet it somehow still feels like coming home. If you’re looking for a spot that blends culinary curiosity with comfort, Nue is the place to be.

Interesting Menu Options

By Jen A |

If you're looking to try something new, this is the place to go. We went for brunch and were not disappointed. The menu has a wide range of dishes inspired from around the world. I had a Puerto Rican dish, others had South African, Chinese, Filipino, and Dutch. Great flavor combinations and options. You really can't go wrong with any of them.

Eat your way around the world

By Cabledoc |

We found Nue nearly by accident, searching the area close to a concert venue we would be attending. What a delight! The open kitchen, informal decor featuring "tchotchkes" from countries far and wide, and the helpful wait staff kicked off our experience. The menu features small plates and main dishes, and the family style eating they encourage allows for tasting variety. We loved the pineapple cornbread, brussels sprouts, and Bunny chow (no bunnies were hurt in making this dish). All 5 in our party loved this meal and will be back soon!

Good fusion food

Can't wait to come back

By Todd787 |

Caught our eye on Seattle's Top 25 List and had to try their Sunday Brunch. Only has seating for about 30 inside and the place was packed. Reservations highly recommended. Absolutely worth the wait. The most amazing variety of dishes from around the world. After good morning cocktails (super good) we ordered the Desayuno (Mexican), Mofongo (Puerto Rican), Shakshuka (Israel), and the Tosilog (Filipino). We all sampled each other's order and all were absolutely delicious. We all commented that they should offer a "Flight" of breakfasts to make it easier to sample everything they offer. It was impossible to say which was the best. Coming back soon to try everything else on the menu. Seating is at community tables and service can be a little slow. But super friendly staff and neighborhood crowd. Loved it, we'll be back.

The top rating is deserved!

By Melissa G |

Really good international fare. Cute place with fun ambiance. Small and can be crowded but we got there early and enjoyed happy hour, the service and food are exceptional. Try the Brussel sprouts and the chicken wings. My husband said they were some of the best chicken wings he’s ever had, and although I don’t eat them as much as he does, I agreed.

Disappointing

By Marie B |

After reading reviews about the eclectic and unusual offerings of this restaurant, we really wanted to try it. The menu was just that: eclectic and unusual. There was a greater focus on meat, and seeing pigs tails on the menu really did not entice. The chicken wings were over seasoned and difficult to finish, but the seafood laksa was quite tasty. The hit dish was the pineapple coconut cornbread. Odd, but very tasty. I wish the waiter had been more attentive; he seemed very preoccupied with everything but his tables. It was very noisy. Overall, disappointing.

Muy sabroso -very tasty

By isaac m |

Excellent friendly service. Unique take on scrumptious samiches and other outstanding meals. Spicy and I loved it ! I went early lunch with a friend. I'm sure dinner hours can be packed and a madhouse.

Wow! So much fun!

By New Orleans Secrets Tours |

We are foodies and love trying new foods and dining experiences. This did not disappoint!!! We were there during happy hour, which meant we got stuffed off of 5 different dishes for with drinks for way less than we would have expected. We still talk about the bunny chow! Wish the beetles would have been a bit cheaper -- would have been fun to try but I didn't want to pay too much for something I might only want one bit of, lol. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Simply mind blowing food. Must visit

By Pallav S |

Mind blowing. Really. The menu is super eclectic, ambiance is very hippy and cozy. Friendly servers. The cocktails and drinks were innovative too. We went for dinner and had the Chengdu Wings and it was a gastronomical delight. I can’t really place the herbs used .. but it was perfectly balanced flavors. Highly highly recommended. What a great find. Must visit for all Seattle visitors.

Nue - a great find in a wonderful area of Seattle

By mcnite |

Recently a friend and I were in Seattle for a week's "band camp" at Seattle University. We wanted dinner off-campus one night and stumbled on Nue. What a delight! The service was excellent and they went out of their way to explain about the various dishes. The food was spicy and excellent and we couldn't finish our meals. It's so nice to find a place where they make you welcome and take such pride in their servings. The place really filled up for dinner but they kept pace with the crowd and everyone was very happy to be there (some many many times)

Simply unique

By Melika G |

First, eating in Nue is an experience on its own. I love the design, the pictures on the wall and the lovely staff. Then I cannot say how much I loved the food. It was well thought and well made. And in the end it was not even that expensive.

Delicious

By Tameka H |

The food was amazingly good, and the service was even better. A minor issue happened at the beginning of our meal, and they went above and beyond to solve it.

Fantastic Night !

By Col I |

This is a wonderful example of a restaurant that took a risk and tried something different...and the result is NUE. The owner Chris looked after our party last night and Adam our server was fantastic... Go there with an open mind and you'll be blown away by the eclectic menu... Goat Curry, Jerk Chicken, Bunny Chow...and then finish with the Bollywood... You'll agree this is just a wonderful evening to share with your friends.

Good food but too loud for date talk

By mstarrynight |

Went on a date. Shared tables only meant zero intimacy for us. We sat right next to strangers and could hear their convo. Like a cafeteria but louder: wish we had known that. It was hard to hear each other. Not an ideal first or important date spot. But the food? Pretty creative Asian fusion. And tasty.

Phenomenal Food From Around the World - One of Seattle's Signature Restaurants!

By jmicklos |

Seattle has a great diversity of culture from countries all around the world and Nue is Seattle's torchbearer for international street food! It really doesn't get better than this :) I've been coming to Nue since they opened. Now that I've moved to London, Nue is a must go when I visit (as I did last week) - and will continue to be a place I recommend whenever someone is looking for a place to eat in Seattle. Syrian Kale & Carrot Salad ... South African Bunny Chow ... Taiwanese Chicken Heart Poppers. Everyone is bound to find something they've never experienced before but will love all the same. Great service, amazing food, it's hard to beat! :)

Great dinner

By Renee F |

My parents, husband, and I had a great dinner at Nue. Food and cocktails were creative. Spare ribs were particularly good. Seating is a bit crowded, but it makes for a fun, casual vibe.

Best restaurant in Seattle

By Victor H |

My friends and I frequent this restaurant on a monthly basis. We love their food and the staff is very attentive. It's cool that they have communal tables as you get to strike conversations with complete strangers. Their menu always changes and there has not been one dish I have not tried that is not amazing. I highly recommend you visit this Seattle restaurant as its one of the best we have in town.

Love in every bite

This restaurant serves some of best dishes I have ever had. It's worth the visit!! Me and my friends had our new year's eve dinner there. Will definitely go back!!

Bunny Chow Heaven

By kawh |

The Bunny Chow is so wonderful... Where has it been all my life? The ultimate comfort food!! Delicious curry with the most perfect bread ever...a 2 inch high chewy crust ringing a perfectly dense white bread. The fermented tea leaves dish was full of texture and spice. The perfect counterpoint to the comfy Chow. Drinks are good but a bit pricey and skimpy.

Horrible Experience

By Pruthuvi Mahesh... W |

This is the worst experience in a restaurant I have ever had. I went there with my 9 months pregnant wife. I had a reservation. We arrived 15 minutes early and the waitress refused to seat us except at the bar seats with high chairs and near the entrance when there was an entire row of empty tables, saying that they are all reserved. And then this guy(calls himself "Gil") comes and says they cannot accommodate our seating preference due to "reservations" even after we said we will come back 15 minutes later at our reserved time slot. We said no problem, we'll take the bar seat(even if it was not the most comfortable place for my pregnant wife), and we were ready to try their food. We ordered a cup of coffee with cream and sugar, Sri Lankan butternut squash curry, pineapple cornbread, two side eggs scrambeld, and South African malva as dessert. A few minutes later, a waitress brought just a coffee without cream and sugar. Then I when I asked for cream and sugar, they were visibly annoyed as if I did something to them. Then "Gil" brought the Sri Lankan butternut squash curry, pineapple cornbread, and 2 of "two side eggs". My wife said we did not order 2 of "two side eggs". In the menu, it is literally written as "two side eggs" and that is exactly what we ordered. Then this "Gil" got mad and started gaslighting us that it was our mistake and told us to deal with it. I for the life of me cannot understand how this guy is able to able work in service industry treating customers like this. I am literally from Sri Lanka, and the "Sri Lankan" butternut squash curry tasted really bland and does not even remotely resemble anything Sri Lankan. We decided to leave at this point even though we were very hungry. When a waitress talked to us, we expressed our displeasure in the experience we had. At this time, this "Gil" guy came back saying we can have both of his "two side eggs" but we just wanted to get out of this unpleasant place, and when we were about to leave, he got really angry and rude towards us. We paid in full and left quickly. After reading some of the previous reviews in Google maps(unfortunately after this incident), I realized this horrible service is pretty consistent in this place recently. These people do not have an ounce of empathy and they do not belong in service Industry.

Colorful !

By dvak |

We called for the the whole menu almost due to the sizes but each of the dishes had a unique flavor to it. Its a small place and gets very busy.

Sooo Good!

By Vasey H |

If you love food and want an adventurous, delicious menu then give Nue a try! Highly recommend the cornbread, goat curry, salad, etc. I want to go back again and again to explore the entire menu. Plus, I love the vibe of the place- the décor and the service are all very true to the spirit of a small, unique, exotic and friendly foodie heaven.

Diverse and complex flavors

By Mary P |

My husband and I have stopped in several times for a late-night meal and enjoyed their Sri Lanka "world dinner." These chefs know their way around spices and hot peppers, creating dishes from different cuisines that are each distinctive in taste. You can order as few or as many tastes.dishes as you want. The decor is just as unique and enjoyable, as is people-watching from the outside dining area as walkers stroll by on 14th. Always fun to eat here.

Delicious eats! Well worth a visit.

By Colwask |

Nue is a breath of fresh air in Capital Hill. It's menu is original, authentic and tasty. The effort and care that goes into each dish and every cocktail that I have had at the restaurant is warming. The staff are very friendly and more than happy to offers suggestions as you navigate the menu. As a girl with a historic distaste for goat, I can honestly say that I am infatuated with Nue's goat curry. It's amazing, not too heavy or saucy, great flavours that burst in your mouth, I could easily make it a regular in my life. Nue does what no other restaurant I've ever eaten at has managed to do - it brings food from all over the world together in one spot while maintaining the authenticity and true flavours of the dishes. Oh - and did I mention fabulous cocktails? :-)

Unusual delicious food

By pdxdebbe |

We’re always up for a new place, something unusual. We liked that Nue served a variety of cuisines in a casual setting and had mixed drinks too. We made reservations and got right in. Started with a martini with an extract of water bugs. Was a bit odd. Tasted dusty to start but I warmed up to it. Dinner was fried Brussels sprouts ( big yum!) then we split the bunny bowl and spicy wings. Both really good. We would return.

deligg surprise as I walked down the street

By mackanna |

Without knowing where I was going, I passed by this and looked inside to see the artful interior so I stop for brunch and whoa it did not disappoint.

Wow! Fun, creative, delicious, entertaining!

By Jan |

Our son just moved to Seattle, so we wanted to explore local restaurants. What a fabulous find! My compliments to the owners, chefs, staff for their delicious and creative food (the small plates especially amazing). Presentation was beautiful, service excellent in spite of the place being packed, chefs fun to watch (try to get a seat where you can see open kitchen) as they dance their ballet of creating delicious and uniquely creative dishes. Try the Chengdu Spicy chicken wings, the Syrian kale and carrot salad,East Indies Brussels sprouts and the Brazilian Acaraje. The flavors, the spices, the creativity are outstanding. Oh my, I think I need to get on a plane and fly up there for dinner tonight! Sooo good. A+! Enjoy!

Food that is both great and unusual

By Neilxxxx5 |

I never would have gone here on my own-the menu looked too weird for my tastes. Fortunately someone else had picked it. I went with a crowd and got to sample a number of things; the food was delicious. My Ecuadorian seafood soup was great, the Yakitori and jerk chicken were both very good, and the fritters and bunny chow were also very good. Most surprising was the Thai water beetle- both the smell and taste were pleasantly fruity and it was delicious. The service was very good and accommodating to the two kids in our group. Definitely the place to go if you want something different.

Delicious tour around the world!

By BaoTran M |

My brother and I ate here during our brief stop in Seattle. To clarify, we ate here 3 times during our 3 days visit in Seattle, back in July. Despite the time gap, I think my experiences eating at Nue needs to be share. Nue is a gem that travelers visiting Seattle and local need to try! Nue's menu is a gateway to the tasty and cultural experience. My brother and I wanted to try as many different types of dishes as we can, and we were not disappointed with our adventurous decision! Day 1) One the first night we met up with two friends and order the Chengdu Spicy chicken wings, goat curry (comes with pineapple cornbread), grilled pig tails, and beers (I don't remember the specific kind but it was good!). At first, we thought the portions were a bit small and considered ordering more. Good thing we did not because we were overly full by the end! The chicken was wonderfully marinated. Not too spicy or too salty. Crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The grilled pig tails were crispy and very well seasoned. The meat just fell off the bone. The curry was also very good, but I did not eat much because I do not like goat meat. I must say, however, my favorite part of the meal was the pineapple cornbread. The bread was moist and fluffy; half cake and half cornbread. Genius! Day 2) Our second time dining was the next day. We came during brunch time so we had the chance to try their brunch menu. We ordered the Israeli Shakshuka, Filipino Tosilog, a dish of baguette with an egg in the center (unfortunately it's no longer on the brunch menu), and one water beetle. My favorite was the Israeli Shakshuka. The tomato sauce was nicely seasoned and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The Filipino Tosilog was good; the meat was well marinated, but definitely not the best option on the menu. Again, don't let the portion fools you. We were stuffed when we walked out of the restaurant. If you are curious about the water beetle, it's not on the menu. You have to ask the waiter about it! I've never eaten a beetle before so it was definitely a cool experience! I would recommend giving it a try if you're more on the adventurous side. Day 3) My third time dining here was with a Seattleite who've never been to Nue before. My friend ordered the goat curry and I ordered the Chinese (pork?) bun (which is not on the current menu). The bun and the fillings were good, but definitely not my favorite on the menu. My friend was very impressed with the curry and the pineapple cornbread, and said he would definitely come back just for the cornbread! The interior of Nue is very unique. Against the far right wall is giant wooden shelf filled with a wide variety of wine, spirits, and hand-picked souvenirs from all over the world. The rest of the restaurant is also filled with these cool souvenirs, as well as travel books (which you can sign at the end of your meal!). Overall, Nue, as a whole creation, from the distinctive menu to the unique decorations, stands out from other up and coming restaurants that boost uniqueness and creativity. Nue brings the rest of world to its customers in their own special way that does not undermine the authenticity of the different cuisines they are recreating.

One of my favorite dining experiences <3

My GF and I found NUE by chance when we were looking for last minute valentine's reservations. Little did I know I would end up getting ENGAGED by the end of the night. The wait staff was so lovely and supportive, they filmed our engagement and wrote us out a little card. The food was incredible also. Will definitely be goin back soon!

Yum!

By teeberry29 |

Just had brunch. Rainy day, we were the only table at 11a. When we left, there were only 3 tables filled. It is communal type seating. The spouse had Monfongo- excellente! I had the Chicken and waffles, wonderful! We also tried the cornbread, very good, but heavy on the shaved coconut. There are so many things you want to taste, we will be back for dinner.

Fun Culinary Selections!

By Timzorrr |

The idea behind NUE is to pick interesting foods from around the world and serve them. For someone like me who will try anything once, I love it. It’s also a great to learn about food in other places like Mofongo, a Dominican dish. There are so many interesting and delicious dishes at new. The only negative I thought was I thought they were priced a little high, 35 for ribs seemed steep, although they were also delicious. Nue’s is a great idea, give it a try!

Unique & Vibrant

By jtssea |

We all loved this place along with every dish the 4 of us ordered! The menu consists of street food & comfort food inspired dishes from around the globe. The menu is extremely thoughtful and Every dish tasted as if a chef from that country was in the kitchen. Kudos to the chefs. The tea leaf salad was a flavor bomb! The Chinese chicken wings were epic, the mofunngo was authentic , the bunny chow was so tender with all the flavors skillfully balanced. The ribs had a special.stickiness goodness on the tender and perfectly cooked meat. We all loved the casual, vibrant & curated decor. The tables are all communal. The wine list was thoughtful and reasonable and the cocktails were nice (they could elevate the cocktails a bit to match to the phenomenal food menu. ) This morning we are all talking about the dinner.

A breath of fresh air

By lohobe |

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Nue and as someone that has lived in Seattle for three years I've tried multiple restaurants. Nue is always THE restaurant I recommend to people looking for a restaurant to try and it never disappoints: Something that I will always say about Nue is that it's not the typical fast food options or chain restaurant-- which is amazing. They offer you a menu full of delectable and different food that is based on dishes from around the world. It's absolutely delicious. There was not one thing on the menu that I've ate (and I've tried about 95% of it) that I haven't loved, and if my stomach capacity let me, ate more of. The one thing I absolutely LOVE about Nue is that they rotate dishes in and out of their menu while leaving certain dishes that are favorites. Knowing I am going to go back in and have my Bunny Chow while being able to experience something new is exciting and keeps me coming back. When I first tried Nue I fell in love with it and luckily I can take advantage of their delivery option a few times a month. Recently, I've also tried their Brunch menu, and its nothing short of spectacular as well-- The Filipino Tosilog and the Golden Mountain Mary made my morning. The service is impeccable. The owners are amazing and you can tell that this place was built with heart and soul. There is always someone to greet you right when you walk in the door and every server that I have ever had is always courteous and knowledgable of the menu. I recommend x 1,000,000.

Effing AMAZING!

Charming Place. Great concept

This is like a hip community kitchen inspired eatery. Great small dishes and some really cool cocktails. The food is fusion. Highly recommended.

Great food great vibe

My wife and I were just looking for a good place to eat that wasn’t bland and “cookie cutter.” We saw “NUE” online with great reviews and thought we’d give it a try. We weren’t disappointed, the place was fun spirited, the staff was friendly and we loved the food that we ordered, which was the tower of sweet & lightly spicy chicken wings and the curry eggplant with rice dish. Would go back to try the other delicious international offers.

Food traveling without jetlag

By michael b |

The menu is amazing. The service top notch. Great way to sample different cuisines. My server, Uyen, gave me a step by step description as to how to eat my Balut, a developed soft boiled duck egg: delicious. The Golden Gai Noodles crisp, the Caribbean Coconut Corn, nicely seasoned. Visited on 2 occasions, tried most of the menu, and left smiling both times. 2 things: don't forget desert and the vietnamese hot coffee and sit at the front window to enjoy the street view.

Get to Nue RIGHT NOW!

Had a wonderful brunch today. The chengdu wings paired with the waffles is to die for. The bartender, Michelle was adorable and very fun to hang out with. Will definitely be back! FYI, prepare to rub elbows with your neighbors!

Ate Sunday brunch with party of 8. Resturant was cozy but they were able to accommodate us. Waitress suggested family style and pointed out some appropriate choices, which turned out to appeal to all of us. Made for a lively brunch. Check out menu for unusual global options.

A Deliciously Fun and Unique Dining Experience

By V. Vo |

I have been to Nue twice -- once for brunch and once for dinner. For brunch, I'm usually super picky because I don't want to pay for something I can make at home. Nue's brunch is super unique and definitely something you cannot make at home. More importantly, it is delicious! My friends and I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, a play on the traditional southern dish with Chengdu style chicken wings instead --AMAZING. I could eat those chicken wings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'll even skip dessert. We had the shakshouka and the rabbit stew. Both superb! I also really love the ambience in the morning as well because it is really buzzy and exciting. You're in close quarters with folks but it makes you feel like you're having a family brunch, which I really appreciate. For dinner, I had the chicken wings, thai water beetles, balut, Ecuadorian fish stew, and a Brazilian dish I can't quite remember the name of. Everything was delicious! I took some co-workers who aren't typically used to water beetles and balut but they were excited to see it anyway. The water beetles are super interesting -- they taste a little bit like sour jolly ranchers. I love the two mains I ordered because they were so warm and hearty. They were definitely unique dishes that I never got to experience before and appreciated the opportunity to try it. I think what I love about Nue so much is you get a peek into other cultures and the food you don't normally get to try. It really peaked my interest in learning more about different cuisines. I learned that the owners take their chef on international trips to help them find culinary inspiration and skills. You really feel the attention and care in this restaurant. It kind of feels like you're having dinner at you friend's house in the woods -- the kind of friends who decided to just travel the world, live freely and eat to their heart's desire. Definitely top on my list for culinary experiences in Seattle.

Delicious and Eclectic

By Keith W |

Very eclectic mix of dishes from across the globe. Had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with house-made pickles, the pineapple-coconut cornbread, & a couple cocktails. Food and drinks were delicious, and the service was very good. The sweetened coconut shreds on the top of the cornbread is what made it 👌🏻

Good take away

By SillySally14 |

I was glad we had ordered take away when I showed up and realized the place only has a handful of tables. We got the mofongo and kale salad, both of which were very good.
