Nuevo Laredo is by far the most authentic Southwestern food I've eaten since moving to Atlanta. The restaurant is great. It's a classic small house turned into a restaurant. The bar with 5 seats is a nice touch. I had the beef and pork enchiladas. The beef was a bit greasy, but both sauces were really good. The rice and beans were excellent. I definitely plan to come back in the near future.

My wife and I love to stop by Nuevo, when we need a quick delicious meal. Everything I have eaten there is good. I have been eating the chicken fajita salad recently. It is a great lighter option if you are not in the mood for traditional Mexican food.

My local friend says it's the best Mexican food in Georgia. All I can say is it's the best I've had. The hand cut fresh salsa should be bottled and sold. The burrito with beef brisket! Smothered with salsa. I passed out. No, It wasn't the margaritas , which, by the way, were superb. #mostofbestarewordofmouth

This is an amazing Mexican / Tex-Mex Cantina with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. It is a great place to sit down and enjoy some incredible Mexican food.

I been there twice and love the food! really wish i lived closer. You can tell it's good because of the wait.

Nuevo Laredo has the best salsa and best refried beans in town!!! The margaritas are excellent. I love the atmosphere.

We've been going to Nuevo Laredo for many years and have always had a superb meal. The staff is fabulous - personable and prompt - top notch. It's definitely our 'go to' spot where we take visitors and recommend if anyone is looking for a place to eat. Recommendations: Chicken mole, grilled chicken quesadillas, tacos carne asada, pork tacos and burritos, shrimp and lobster tacos, cadillac margaritas.....really everything is good, and the cheese dip is phenomenal as is the salsa. Go hungry but be ready, you might have a wait but it's well worth it.

Great food in a casual relaxed atmosphere, I’ve been there on a number of occasions over many years & have never been disappointed. My latest visit in December was excellent. I went with grand kids at lunch time, the hostess saw my predicament and jumped us to the head of the line, great service with a heart. The food was really enjoyable great Mexican cuisine with amazing flavors. Muy bien gracias!

This was the second time that I went for dinner at this place. The first time it was many years ago and I thought maybe was the one thing I chose from the menu that wasn't that good (some very dry tacos). So when I was invited to go with a group this week I didn't have much expectations, but it confirmed that this is one of the most over-hyped restaurants in Atlanta. The wait was an hour and a half. The waitress was rude and made faces when asked to divide someone's meal (birthday girl) on everyone else's bills. I only eat light to no spice in my food, so I asked the waitress if the Brisket was spicy at all, otherwise I'll choose something else in the menu, of course she said "no" and I ordered. Needless to say this platter was very spicy and I hardly could eat it. I will not be going back to this place.

A small and festive restaurant serving Mexican food. Nuevo Laredo Cantina packs them in at peak times. We were a group of six. They don't take reservations and don't seem very good at accommodating parties over 4. The menu is very extensive, with all the typical Mexican dishes and more. I had the fajitas. At $20, I thought they were pricey. They came with rice and beans, but surprisingly only two tortillas. Not enough for the portion served. The fajitas were a little over cooked and not even close to the best I've had. The Texas margarita I had though was quite good. Service was friendly. Depending on the time you arrive, you may find yourself walking across a busy street because of the parking situation. I would like to try this place again when it's less crowded.

We arrived just after opening (noon) on a Sunday and were seated promptly. Within 30 minutes there was a 15-minute wait for seating. Fresh chips and salsa (excellent) arrived right away. We ordered the huevos rancheros and enchiladas (one steak, one chicken). They were very good -- ample, flavorful, plated nicely. I subbed black beans for refried and they were tasty. The accompanying rice was just OK. The also accompanying pico de gallo/salad was also just OK. I still think Taqueria Los Hermanos in Tucker is the best Mexican in Atlanta, but Nuevo Laredo is a good intown choice.

I honestly can’t believe I’m giving our favorite Mexican spot in ATL only a 3. We have NEVER been disappointed here, but this time I was. I ordered the chicken mole, and the chicken was so dry it was almost not edible. The mole sauce was amazing and is the only reason I could eat the dish. I should have stuck to my go to, the lobster tacos. My wife did, and they were amazing as always. The lobster tacos saved my rating from being below average. I’ll give them a mulligan and will continue going as I know this was an anomaly.

Excellent Salsa and chips. Chicken Chimichanga was dry and lacking flavor. Cheese Enchiladas were very good. Service was very good as well.

Went here on a Saturday for lunch. Able to be seated right away in a room basically in a basement area. Seating is tight. There were three of us sat in a table in the middle of the room. Prepare for your chair to be constantly bumped by wait staff and other patrons. We orders the mixed fajitas with shrimp, chicken and beef. There were a total of 3 shrimp. The price tag for fajitas for one was $22. We ordered a chile relleno off the ala cart menu. There was no description. It was $9.50. It was a nice poblano pepper stuffed with ground beef and potatoes. The sauce on top was not good. We ordered a small cheese dip and three waters. So with a total of $45 with tip for lunch, we left hungry, disappointed and broke. There are so many places in Atlanta to eat that are a much better bang for your buck and quite frankly, better food.

Food is delicious and the vibe is definitely family friendly Mexican food. The portions are large for the price and the service is pretty quick. This place is always packed so be prepared to wait. Totally worth it if you craving authentic mexican food and authentic vibe.

Good food good service nice ambiance good food.. Good food did I say food food! Nice cuisine pleasant setting unpretentious homey

Icon in Atlanta so we had to try. Authentic amer-mex food. Very crowded as it seems everyone loves it and we went on a Tuesday. Not much room and loud but good service and food. It's more of an experience than a restaurant. We had a nice time in this throw back to blue collar Atlanta.

We have been patrons of Nuevo Laredo ever since it opened. I cannot say anything negative about it, except that I wish it occupied double the space. The wait staff is always hustling, yet they never are anything but smiling and polite; as well as attentive. The food is, quite simply, the best Tex-Mex you have ever eaten. The salsa is out of this world. We dine there at least once a week, and keep on coming back. Harry B.

The food at Nuevo Laredo is excellent. Portions are very generous, and the service is fast and friendly. Be prepared for a wait to get seated, but know it's well worth it. Super fair prices, too!

Still the best Mexican in Atlanta and trust me we try a lot of Mexican restaurants. The last 3 December trips were all fantastic. Each time we had a hard time ordering. But settled on some of the best. We had never had their fajitas, or should I say it's been about 15 years and we were not disappointed. Our newest addiction are the crispy beef tacos. They are huge and have a wonderful taste. The beef chimichanga is still hands down the best in the city...perfectly seasoned ground beef and huge. Of course, now I am addicted to the grilled fresh jalapeños. Perfect addition to all of their dishes. You can't go wrong with this place. We were there day before yesterday and while writing this review I want to go right now.

Nuevo Laredo is an Atlanta institution. This family run restaurant serves authentic Mexican cuisine. The steak tacos are simple and seasoned to perfection. You can expect a wait for dinner, but it always worth it.

Be ready to wait if you go to this restaurant on a Saturday night. We waited about one hour. The staff was excellent and the place is loud! My husband and I were divided on our opinions of the food. The crab meat enchiladas were excellent. My husband was disappointed with the lobster tacos. He felt the lobster was tough and the tacos were soggy. The salsa was excellent!!! We would definitely eat again at this restaurant to try some of their other dishes!

Nuevo Laredo , in my opinion , is the best Mexican food in Atlanta. From start to finish everything is excellent - fajitas, tacos, enchiladas , guacamole, chips and queso, margaritas and on and on. The sides are fresh and very tasty. The tamales, chili rellano and all othe dishes are superb. My highest recommendation .

Truly authentic the food is simple but delicious. I had the fajitas and could not finish them. The margaritas are perfect too.

Simply the best in Atlanta for many years. Authentic and tasty. Fantastic skinny and spicy Margaritas. The Carne Asada and Lobster Tacos are unparalleled. Its perfect for families with young children earlier in the evening too. Chips and Salsa fantastic at this place too

We stopped in for an early dinner last Friday and were seated immediately after the hostess finally returned to her station. Chips and salsa were promptly delivered. The chips were satisfactory and the salsa was quite good. It took forever to have our order taken. The food was promptly delivered after that. We each decided to order something we had not had before. My wife ordered Salmon Pacifico with flour tortillas and I chose Tacos Mole Pollo. We each announced that, while the dish was good, we would not order it again. Service was incredibly lacking. We finally flagged down a waitress, not ours, and asked that she find someone to bring a "to go" box and our check. Shortly after that, a woman came by and announced that she was now our waitress and that she would bring a box and check. Had the original server gone home? No explanation was offered, but we had not seen the original server since shortly after our order was taken. All things considered, this was the least impressive visit here since they opened. Fortunately for them, we have eaten here many times and have always had good experiences.

I've been hearing for years that this is one of the best Mexican places in Atlanta. And that's hard to believe because there are so many great restaurants in Atlanta. But we were finally in the area around dinner time so we checked it out. The rumors were definitely true! We had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated because there was quite a crowd ahead of us, but it was worth it. One of the best items on the menu is the home made tamales. You don't see that very often. We also had some enchiladas and tacos amongst our table. All delicious. The enchiladas were packed with meat, so we even had leftovers to take home. The salsa was tasty. The house margarita was also very good. The prices are just a bit higher than your average Mexican joint, but like I said, it's alot of food, so you can probably share or plan to take some home. Most entrees were in the $10-13 range. Still, not bad at all. The staff were all very friendly. We'll definitely be going out of our way to stop here again sometime.

I make a stop here for quality Mexican food every time I'm in Atlanta... the line can be long so you'll want to get a margarita or a cold imported beer and either belly up to the bar or hang out outside. The steak quesadillas are, hands down, my favorite thing on the menu... yea they have other more "authentic" things on the menu, but the steak quesadillas are on point. You should definitely try the queso to compliment the awesome salsa that they bring out with chips. I can't say enough good things about the chips and salsa...

This used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant until we moved away....have not been back for a year or so and the new menu seems to be overpriced. Four of us ordered different lunches and, while the food was all excellent, we found the portions to be smaller than before and also much more money. Disappointed in the high price but still love the food.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food in a great atmosphere then Nuevo Laredo is where you need to go. Hands down the best Mexican food in Atlanta and perhaps in the Southeast. Do yourself a favor and eat here, right now!!

This is a must visit if you are looking for great Mexican food. It's a small building in Atlanta, when you walk in you get greeted by amazing smells that makes you want to try everything. The tacos were amazing. The Carne Asada was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the grilled chicken has flavor you cant describe and the shredded chicken was packed full of great toppings and flavor. You will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a starter get the guacamole dip.

This restaurant is well known to locals as the best Mexican restaurant around. That being said, there is almost always a wait. But, that's okay because their margaritas are amazing and there is a porch you can hang out on while you sip your margarita. I have been going to Nuevo Loredo for over a decade and the staff is 99% the same. To me, this says a lot about the management of this restaurant. The food is scrumptious. The salsa is amazing and the brisket barbarcoa is my favorite! Although you may wait for a table, the food is awesome and comes out quickly!

Tasted to me like any homemade Mexican restaurant in Southern California. Best thing I had there was the homemade salsa. The place itself was kind of neat and fun, with great stuff to look at on the walls, but Zagot's reviewer must have had too many crevasses to have been judging the food. But honestly, I grew up in Southern California where almost all the Mexican food was good. Of course any restaurant can have a bad day. Just too bad it was the day we were there. At least the place was clean and the service was good though.

Better get here early if you want to be sat in under 2 hours. We grabbed a table at 5:30 on a Wednesday night for about 10 people and it's a good thing; the wait was terrible by 6:30. Parties of 2 had an excruciating wait as late as 9pm. Food was decent, service was good and tequila was solid. Tip: don't be put off by the sign on the air conditioner that says "don't touch"; ask them to turn it on if they forget!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Unfortunately, many other people feel the same way, which means it is always extremely busy. I went here on a Tuesday evening around 6:00 pm with a friend and we were able to get a table right away. It is basically a house turned into a restaurant, so the decor is tight and simple. We started with chips, salsa and guacamole and house margaritas. Be prepared, the margaritas are strong! For dinner, I had the tamales with rice and beans. All of it was amazing. My friend had some chicken mole with rice and beans and he really liked it. We were too full for dessert. Everything was excellent and this is such a fun place with great food. By the time we finished dinner, there were about 20 people waiting for a table. So, be prepared to wait when you go.

We came here on the recommendation of an acquaintance. The exterior is inviting, as it looks like a cantina in a border town. The inside decor is interesting with Mexican artifacts and pictures of celebrity patrons. We loved the complimentary salsa and chips, and they make great Margaritas. But it ends here. We missed the lunch menu by minutes and ordered from the dinner menu. Both menus were pricey. I ordered salmon fish tacos and my husband had Tampiqueña Steak. We also ordered Cebollitas (charbroiled scallions) as an appetizer. Unfortunately, the appetizer arrived at the same time as our meals and was oily. The entree plates came out steaming hot. I suspect that the items were prepared in advanced and "nuked". My tortillas were soggy. Cheese sauce was runny. Taco filling consisted of shredded cabbage. I would of preferred Tilapia instead of salmon. The overall taste was bland. My husband had a Tampiqueña Steak which was like a flank steak stewed in tomato sauce. He was expecting it to be more like what you would get from an American steakhouse, and he felt it was "tough". So, he was disappointed. But compared to my entree, it had more flavor. When discussing our dining experience with our acquaintance, he admitted that he doesn't order anything other than the fajitas here. So, maybe their fajitas are to die for. I don't know and won't be going back anytime soon. But if I'm in the area, I'll stop in for the chips and margaritas. Salud!

This is the spot. Steak enchiladas for. The. Win. You like guac? Cool. It’s great You like margaritas? Cool. Delicious. Salsa? Buena.

Don't ever judge a book you never read or a customer you never met. Treat all customers fairly, regular and new ones. The "tamales choker" could not be accommodated with a different item on the menu. Supposedly, the "tamales choker" should have never been so dried like a jerky if it had not sat for pick up for 20 minutes. My consolation: Drive back through traffic to pick up a couple more tamales that is guaranteed not to choke anyone.

We ventured over to this wonderful hole in the wall Atlanta well kept secret Mexican restaurants and enjoyed a well prepared dinner complete with the best homemade salsa this side of the border. The fajitas were a bit pricey but we'll worth the 18 dollar cost. You likely will need to ask for a few extra tortillas to wrap your fajitas. My wife enjoyed the veggie soft tacos and had enough to bring some home. Need to arrive no later than 6 to get a table however. If you come later be prepared to hang outside on the open air porch which is great in spring, fall and early summer but a bit too cold or hot for most otherwise.

Wondering what to order? Try anything. This is excellent food with friendly attentive service. We have driven all the way across town. I'm talking Atlanta traffic...to eat here when someone says "Let's eat Mexican". We usually go for a late lunch or a early dinner. The place gets crowded. But it is worth the wait. A friend whose parents were Mexican immigrants says this place's chicken mole comes closest of any in town to his Mother's. Good enough for us.

Went with a party of 7 after a Georgia Tech football game. The place is very small but they got a table for us pretty quick. Good Mexican food. I had the brisket which was one of their house specialties. The serving was huge and a bit spicy - but very good.

Nuevo Laredo is not an elegantly appointed restaurant with a quiet atmosphere and spaced tables. It is a fun, colorful, noisy, packed in tables, restaurant in a stand alone location. It feels like you are with a bunch of friends. The shear volume of customers and wait times is a testament to the quality and value of the authentic Mexican food they serve. We went on a Sunday evening, maybe around 6:30 and had a 1/2 hour wait. Even with the bustling volume, they provided good service. Once seated, we were kept refreshed in chips and drinks. The drinks, salsa, tacos, and burritos were all very good and overall meal very filling. While I did not have them, I noticed they had a number of seafood and vegetarian options. It is a very family friendly restaurant that also had a children's (under 10) menu. Since driving is a must, parking is in front, adjacent and across the street from the restaurant.

I enjoyed the pork and beef enchiladas with refried beans and rice. There was so much food that I barely ate chips and dip and didn't touch the salad. I haven't eaten Mexican food in a long time, but it is one of my favorite cuisines. The service was good and the meal satisfactory.

This place has apparently been around since the early 1990s. It opened after I had moved out of downtown ATL, so I had never experienced it. I like Mexican food, and had been interested in checking it out for several years since a colleague mentioned it. It has always been fairly far-afield from where I lived (in my last two homes) so I never made it; until now. A friend and I were heading downtown for a movie, so this seemed an ideal meet-up location. We arrived a bit before noon, but it was not yet open. By the time they did open, there was a crowd of 20 - 30 people on their deck waiting! We got seated in the lower split-level section. It has photos of Mexico decorating several of the walls, along with a section featuring the owner with celebrities on another wall (we were not close enough to check that out). I like the fact that they serve lunch specials even on weekends. The food was pretty good when it arrived. This place was good, but not so extraordinary that I'd drive an extra 20 miles to eat here. There are a couple of Mexican places that I still like better on both sides of town, so I don't think I'll be making the effort to come back here soon. However, if i lived closer, I could see becoming a 'regular' here.

Everything was excellent! There is a little bit of a wait, but you can grab a margarita and chips and salsa at the bar and wait on the outside deck. Food was great, and once seated the service was quick! Highly recommend.

Heard from word of mouth that if you want authentic and amazing Mexican food then this is the place. Absolutely fell in love with the decor/ambiance, humble and wonderful staff and seriously just amazing food. Can't go wrong with any menu item. Gotta go here!!!

This time we waited 1.5 hrs on a Saturday night, and once again it was 100% worth it. The lobster tacos are our go-to. As you can see from my photo, I dove in and destroyed one of them before remembering to take a picture. They stuff so much lobster meat into them that they could actually charge more than the $20 they cost, and I would gladly pay. It has spinach and onions and seems a little lighter than some of the other dishes. The Cadillac margarita is my favorite drink. It's a nice mix of tart and sweet since it has Grand Marnier and also contains Herradura tequila.

Heard about this place for years so finally tried it. Went at 2:30 on a rainy Saturday and it was packed. Line when we arrived and when we left. Still got seated pretty quickly and service was surprisingly good with the crowd. Quirky, but family vibe. Excellent salsa and chips, large portions of food and I even liked the rice and refried beans that came with the meal, which I skip at most places.

This place is a hole in the wall. However, the food is absolutely amazing. It was beyond good. It's not the cheapest place to eat. With that being said, it's well worth the price. I would go back.

Had a really great meal here. Went in the evening and it was very crowded. This is not a fancy place but the food was fresh and awesome! Had the carne asada tacos and will definitely go back for more!

I absolutely love Nuevo Laredo and visit here as often as I can. The Cadillac margarita is great -- one is all it takes for me. Their fresh salsa and brisket are wonderful.

I had the chicken mole tacos, which honestly were the best I have ever enjoyed! Just the right amount of spice. Go early because it gets crowded!

They have changed some items since the place sold. The crab enchiladas are not the same as their once creamy goodness. Now, they changed the salsa. Why? I had the brisket burrito. The meat was very dry. Going downhill. So sad!

...although the margaritas were way overpriced (32 bucks for a pitcher). OK. Every o need I asked raved about this place and I couldn't wait to try it. Turns out that wasn't true. We waited just a little over an hour....watching as similar sized parties came in and were seated ahead of us. The hostesses seemed confused and clearly the system is no system at all. Now for the margaritas. Nuevo Laredo is very proud of them. I wouldn't mind the 32 clams for the pitcher if it wasn't mostly ice, made with a mix, and weak enough that I couldn't taste the tequila. I'll skip this one next time and it's too bad since the food smelled great....service was just lacking.

Been to quite a few Mexican restaurants over my years of traveling. Nuevo Laredo is within the top five for sure. Been back twice since my first, trying something new each time. All were awesome. Thank you for great food which made me come back.

My sister and I stopped here for lunch. We were surprised how big the place was and how busy it was for mid week lunch. After ordering and eating we realized why. The food was delicious and the portions very generous. This is definitely a plate sharing place. The Margaritas are huge. Service is very good. I'll be back.

My Georgia Tech son takes me here when I visit. He must be sympathetic to those out of state tuition payments I make, because prices are very affordable. Been there about a dozen times. Always good. Very casual place with two rooms and a bar. Very popular, so pick your arrival times carefully. Lots of parking across the street. Sometimes there is a wait, but it seems to go quickly. Chips, salsa and drinks arrive immediately and they watch to make sure you don't have empty chip and salsa bowls. Guacamole is homemade and great. We seem to get tacos quite a lot or enchiladas. Always wonderful. There are numerous real Mexican items on the menu, and I know I should try them, but my memory of the last meal always takes me to that part of the menu. Only criticism is the small print on the menu. They have so many items that it's crowded and us old guys have trouble reading it. I always leave stuffed still having money in my wallet. I can't wait to return.

I am a margarita expert and a pitcher of the Texas Margarita is well worth it. I've been here a few times and thank God it is not closer to my house or we would be in here every week. I love that the food is great, the service is awesome and the margaritas are well worth the value. Everything here seems so fresh and the restaurant is super clean. Despite a teeny tiny parking lot, there is a second level (i discovered this on my list visit). You should try it.

Food is average at best, and overpriced. Three adults, 5 kids, one margarita and one beer added up to $185 with tip. Noisy dining room and crappy parking. This Atlanta institution is over the hill.

Its been more than 2+ years since my last review of this restaurant and it is still the best Mexican restaurant in ATL. While it is always crowded we were able to get a table for lunch pretty fast. When we left there were about 20 people trying to get in. The salsa is one of the best...so much so that we bought some to take home. I had steak mole enchiladas with rice and beans that were excellent. My wife had chicken tacos with mole that was also excellent. I have been to many Mexican restaurants in the USA, and this one ranks with the best of them.

We recently visited some friends in Atlanta and when they suggested Mexican we were not sure haha but this has to be one of the best Mexican restaurants we have been to in a long time. The salsa is great and the chips are fresh. The staff is super fast and friendly. On the outside it does not look like much but believe me once inside you will love it and want to go back!

While it's been around for a while, Nuevo Laredo holds its spot as the best in town. Popular, so expect a wait, especially in the evening. Lunch specials good until 3:00, so you can eat a late lunch and no dinner. Large portions of good food. Decent margaritas, good Mexican beer selection (all bottles and cans, no draft).

Without question this is the best Mexican restaurant in Atlanta. The service is very good and the food is excellent. Had enchiladas with mole sauce and it is hard to beat. Chips and salsa are very good. We took home a pint of salsa for $5.00. If you are looking for Mexican food this is your place.

So I went here on a date. I had a good time. We sat outside by the fan under the tent like overhead. I got the brisket barbacoa with the rice and beans tortillas and a side salad. The texas margaritas are good also.

First time visiting the restaurant. Staff was great, food was excellent!! Order the nachos as an appetizer and fajitas for my meal.

Had lunch at Nuevo Laredo Cantina while in Atlanta. Excellent Mexican food! Definitely better than your run of the mill Mexican.

Has been my favorite in Atlanta for years but today noticed something I hadn’t notice a few weeks ago. They are charging a 10 per cent service COVID surcharge. We have tried to support local restaurants even more during this time, as I am also in the business. This is nothing but taking advantage of patrons. This is our thanks for dining with you. Until this is removed I will no longer dine here and would advise others to do the same.

We drove 45 minutes from Roswell, GA to treat our nephew to lunch the day before Father's Day. The food is good, well-prepared, attractively presented and portions are generous. It is billed as authentic, and I'll have take their word for that. I had the shrimp tacos and a strawberry margherita. Both were good.

With a few hours left before our plane left back to Florida, my cousin brought us to this small restaurant. It is not very impressive when you get there but the food and quirky decorations more than make up for it. They were able to seat 8 people in about 5 minutes even though they seemed full and the restaurant is not that big. I will warn you, this is authentic mexican food so prepare for spiciness. Some of us in the group have GERD so we did not try the salsa and the guacamole was delicious but I couldn't have more than one bite because it is spicy. If you are used to spicy, than dig in! We all had different dishes, from tacos to enchiladas, to brisket and crab with not a single complaint. Everything was delicious! Parking is easy too with an extra lot across the street. Highly recommend!

We all over this place! Great fish tacos and fajita salads. The Cadillac Margaritas are the best ever. Be sure to order the fresh quacomole and cheese dip. Service is excellent and the food is fantastic.

Went recently for lunch. This place gets busy, but they are very efficient. We had tacos Diablo and also the brisket tacos. Both were great, but the brisket was amazingly sweet and tender. Salsa was fresh and tasty, too.

Have fallin in love again with this place and can't get enough of it. MJ and Patty are the best. And I must admit all of the wait staff are excellent also. Some of our favorites are the Cheese Enchilada, the brisket taco, the carne asada taco, the grilled chicken taco, the beef chimichanga, and the ground beef burrito. I could go on forever. The gravy on the enchiladas and the burritos cannot be duplicated anywhere. It is perfect. Then there is the Espania (ms) sauce of the bean burrito...it makes it. This place is not the cheapest in town, but the quality of ingredients makes up for it. If there is a wait, it is worth the wait. The portions are huge. The atmosphere is tops.

Omg where do I start ?? The margaritas were sooo good and they were not stingy with the alcohol! I had Queso with chips which was delicious. I also had the lobster quesadilla! To die for!! So authentic and meat was cooked perfect. I added sauteed spinach as well and it was really good. No matter wat you get all the food looked good.

Another delicious meal from our favorite Mexican restaurant. The brisket tacos and carne asada tacos are my fave. Queson go flamed appetizer a must. Can be noisy but fun! Quick and consistent. Love their chips and salsa and I am from Texas!

This was our first visit and we had high expectations. The hostess was borderline rude and tried to seat us at a table where there was no way to sit at the chair as the tables were so tight. The woman whose chair was in the way had her entire leg in a cast and could not move at all. It was not her fault and I was embarrassed. The hostess appeared put out when I asked for a table we could get to the chairs. The food and margarita was good, and our waitress pleasant and attentive. When we went to leave (we were in a truck) the parking was so tight that we literally could not back out. We waited 30 minutes until a car next to us left and we had space to leave. Overall the food was good, not exceptional. The atmosphere was average and parking atrocious. They also need a friendlier hostess.

Delicious salsa, steak tacos was the bomb 💣 and the girls really like their nachos as well, husband had a torta. Go check them out nice spot and great outdoor seating.

On an out-of-the-way street by itself, Nuevo Laredo seems an unlikely Mexican food institution at first glance. However, the crowds waiting for a table on the deck outside the restaurant aren't wrong. Nuevo Laredo blends american preparations (free chips and salsa, large portions of rice and beans) with authentic Mexican flavors (mole), to create a familiar, yet delicious menu. Cap this off with a casual cantina atmosphere and top-notch Cadillac margaritas, and Nuevo Laredo is a good spot for a great meal and a fun evening.

Have been going to Nuevo Laredo for years, and keep going back. Quality food, and big portions. Pleasant staff, though don't expect long conversations in English...

Opens at noon on Sundays. There were cars in the lot full of people by 11:45 ready to eat. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Atlanta. My brother flew in for the weekend and he had to eat here before he left. Great service. Tasty homemade food. Brisket is delicious. Mole is so good. We always come back!

Chimichanga, tamale, guacamole, chips and salsa all good. Tasty and fresh ingredients. Busy, but service was good and fast. Will definately go back.

A couple of us came here for lunch, and I was opposed to it from the beginning. After leaving there I remember why that was. The food is not that great and overpriced, and on top of that the servers treat you like you kicked their dog or cat. Not worth it. I recommend La Hacienda, El Mexicano or Bone Garden for your Mexican cuisine cravings.

Service was outstanding. Food delivered fast and hot. Was very good. Our server was very attentive. So glad our host took us there. Salsa was excellent. Some interesting food options. Was very good.

Great little place to get your Mexican food fix. The salsa is fantastic - which I is typically my first criteria for picking a good Mexican restaurant. I had the Chimichanga and my husband had al la carte burrito and tamales. We both would have again! The queso blanco is fine - I have had better but still pretty good. Go hungry as there is lots of food!

Been to this place a bunch and it is always good. Service is always good but if I do have a complaint, its the bar. The bartender who was working was not friendly right away. There is not much room and its not clear where the best place to order. Frankly I would have a cocktail waitress outside so they could ring in drinks and bring them to the people instead of all the people fighting for real estate in a small bar. But the food is always good, the atmosphere is always great. I will continue to eat here as long as possible.

We dined here during our daughters 18th birthday - she loves authentic Mexican Food. We and had a great time here. The food amazing time and hostesses/waitress werE very polite and patient (this was our 1st time there) There was also no wait on Thursday evening for our party of 5. This is one of the BEST Mexican restaurants I’ve eaten

A favorite while living in Atlanta and still a favorite when visiting! The margaritas(leaded or unleaded) are great and the food authentic and delicious!

I have been here many times and taken friends both for lunch and dinner. It got that casual family style dining. Home cooking is one thing that make this place outstanding. Never get tired of their tender mouth watering tasty brisket and the Texas Fajita. Don't forget the margarita too!

We have received numerous recommendations to visit this restaurant. We had 2 college students with us recently on a Tuesday evening. We arrived early for dinner and their were customers waiting in line upon our departure. It was almost magical that our dishes were freshly prepared and visually appealing. We will return. Free parking is always a bonus.

Bordering on a dive, Nuevo Laredo shines in its service and food for what it may lack in appearances. It's a small, packed restaurant: hineys to elbows, almost. That being said, the food and margaritas were fantastic!

My wife looked at me today (Sunday) at 3pm and said, "Come on, we have to go to Nuevo Laredo." And we made our way from Buckhead to Chattahoochee Ave for another Mexican feast treat. While my wife had the Lobster Taco, I found plenty of vegetarian items on the menu, so no cheating today for me! It is also a great place to enjoy a Margarita (or two), while dining. The place was full as always, no matter what time of day. An Atlanta icon restaurant not to be missed!

We have been trying to eat here for awhile and finally had a great opportunity last Monday as we left a nearby office! The food was sooo good! I dined on a spinach quesadilla while my hubby chose the chili relleno plate! Add chips and salsa and a glass of sangria and it was delish!

For almost 20 years this has been our favorite Mexican restaurant in Atlanta. Whether they are catering an event for us, we are celebrating a birthday or just going out with friends...thanks to Champ and MJ we always can count on three things: great food, friendly service, and the best margarita in Atlanta. Some of our favorites are the freshest salsa in Atlanta, the Queso Fundido with Chorizo, the Lobster Taco, the Beef Brisket, and a real stuffed Chile Relleno! We also love the frozen Texas Margaritas. But be warned...unless you get there before 7pm from Wednesday thru Saturday be prepared to wait (sometimes over an hour). Is it worth it...always!!

My wife and I have been going to Nuevo Laredo for year and have always enjoyed our meals and the service. This past week we were both disappointed with our meals and the service. My wife had ordered a lobster taco and I ordered carne asada tacos. My wife's taco had pieces of lobster she was unable to chew and had to spit out. Her taco was also runny (too much sauce). I had requested corn tortillas and received flower tortillas instead. At the bar my wife ordered a Margarita with a salted rim and received it unsalted. This was quickly corrected. I waited to place my bar order because the bar tender was on her cell phone. I will say the Margaritas were excellent. This was not the dining experience we had expected and we will be in no hurry to return. This was the first time I ever found the restaurant to have open seating at dinner time. In the past we have always experienced a wait.

Stumbled upon this place and it was a great evening with my two teenage boys. Food and drinks were great!! Quaint local joint kind off of the beaten path. Worth it!!

Just completed trips all through Santa Fe and California, still have yet to find a better taco than Nuevo Laredo. Salsa is perfect also, which is a good indicator of a quality spot. I moved out of Atlanta 3 months ago and miss this place terribly!

Holy frijoles! This place is great! The salsa is always fresh and cold and has just the right amount of heat. The food is tasty and plentiful. Indulged in the cheese enchiladas for lunch and was not disappointed. Hubby, a frequent diner here, had the #10 with a chicken taco. Plates were hot-hot-hot, so watch your fingers. My only complaints were: (1) No Coke, Pepsi; and (2) the dungeon-like lower level is a little scary because the emergency exits are padlocked. Whaaaaat?! If a fire breaks out, you'll be crispier than Nuevo Laredo's tortillas. So when you go, do yourself a favor and ask for a table on the main floor.

Small, cramped establishment that is an experience in itself. I have never been disappointed in the food, but is a little different than your run of the mill mexican joint. Large portions, really good salsa, staff is always friendly. The bar area is extremely small, so don't expect much there but it fits the rest of the restaurant.

If you want TexMex in Atlanta, this is the place. No shopping or pottery here, just really good Tex Mex food. Since I moved from Texas, this has been my go to place.

I have been traveling to Atlanta on business for over 25 years - and - I thought I was aware of all of the "best spots" in town for food (I even go all the way back to when "Aunt Fanny's Restaurant" was still in Marietta) - how did I miss "Nuevo Laredo Cantina" ??? What a charming warm atmosphere ! You need to go - and - you need to order "Lobster Tacos" !!! The Lobster Tacos have to be the best Mexican dish I've ever had - anywhere ! Get there early - or - you will wait ! If you have to wait, it's worth it !!

Loved this place. Very casual but authentic looking restaurant. Large delicious serving and a great assortment of food, apps and very large drinks. It’s a bit of a ways out of downtown, but definitely worth the trip. Our server was wonderful. Meal were served fast and hot and were very large portion and not large $$. Just a great, fun place to eat.

Sketchy neighborhood, we were a little scared when we starred heading that way. When we drove up it was packed out so we figured it was good. We had a strawberry margarita and regular margarita while waiting. they were delicious There was an hour and a half wait and we didn’t want to wait that long for a table, so we got it to go. The cheese dip and chips were some of the best I’ve ever had. Chicken steak quesadillas were good but probably would’ve been better fresh and hot at the restaurant.

Enjoyed all the food we ordered! Had steak enchiladas and my husband had brisket Barbacoa. The salsa was delicious ~ really great Tex- mex food!!

We were visiting for 4th of July weekend and were recommended to this restaurant by locals at breakfast. We were completely satisfied with out visit. The fools was great, tasty and spiced just right. Warm chips and salsa to start and great margaritas. You can't beat this place for local Mexican food. Only suggestion would be to fix the central air conditioning; it was a little too warm in the dining room. But it was well worth our visit!

This is a very casual restaurant with parking opposite. It is brightly lit and welcoming and when you step inside the place has an intimate and friendly feel to it. There is a tiny bar area which also serves as the waiting area on colder nights and then two dining areas. The tables are close together but that adds to the general feel of the place. You are greeted on sitting down by a bowl of irresistible chips and salsa and then the menu comes. It has everything you expect from a legitimate Mexican Restaurant. The chicken Mole and the fajitas were excellent. The tacos are also terrific and the portions generous. This is super casual and great fun. You can see why it has been a firm favorite in Atlanta for all these years.

I recently visited my daughter in Atlanta. My daughter recommended that we visit Nuevo Laredo for supper. I read the trip advisor reviews and thought it looked good. My family and I arrived at approximately 4:30. My daughter had called ahead and reserved a table for six. As soon as we walked in we were seated. As I walked in I noted the restaurant looked good on the inside and outside. The parking lot was small and full. My probable future son in law James, told me we could have parked across the street which had a much larger parking lot. Following my daughter's and James's advice I ordered a Texas margarita on the rocks. It was good. I will say James advice on ordering the margarita was a bit off. I prefer the frozen drinks but he later informed me only girl scouts would drink a frozen margarita instead of on the rocks. During this time several bowls of chips were bought to our table with salsa. The chips was warm and the salsa was tasty and spicy. Very good stuff. We also ordered two white cheese dips which were enjoyed by all. I ordered steak fajitas. James ordered the Texas fajitas. My fajitas were very good. James told me his fajitas were also very good. Since he is a professional cook I think his opinion should carry more weight. James told me Nuevo Laredo is the best Mexican restaurant around. The photo of the steaming fajitas was James plate. Our server was Patricia and she was on the ball. I like to drink a lot and Patricia kept my glass of water full. Patricia checked on us several times and was very friendly. As I was walking around taking pictures I met the manager, MJ. MJ was very nice and introduced me to Cornelio who makes the tasty salsa. I have included a picture of MJ and Cornelio. My check for six was about $130.00. The drinks and two bowls of cheese dip contributed to the high cost, but while I think the price was not cheap, but it was not overpriced, So it was ok. The best synopsis of my visit to Nuevo Laredo is that we had a great time, a great meal, and I would happily go back!

I loved the authentic and old venue. The chips and salsa were great. But since it was lunch and we didn't want to pay a lot or eat a lot, we ordered the simple taco and enchilada lunch plate. Although very good, it wasn't enough to be wow we have to go back. But due to popularity and other reviews we probably missed their best items by getting just a chicken and pork taco with cheese enchilada. So, I recommend if you make a visit, go for the standouts. The taco/enchilada lunch is not.

You have to be looking intentionally for this establishment … it is out of the way, and in a part of town no one goes (UNLESS THEY ARE LOOKING FOR MEXICAN FOOD!!). The food is great, the hospitality better, the margaritas are large, and it is well worth the wait. No reservations, long lines of satisfied customers. Parking is a pain; use the lot across the street. But, bring a book (or friends with whom to talk) and wait … you will be glad you did! The review says that I was there in August 2019, but I visit EVERY single time that I am in Atlanta over the past 20 years … it is that good.

This is always a favorite place for Mexican food. The Margarita's are very good and the menu is big. They offer everything and the service is very good.

Not sure how anyone initially found this place, as it is certainly off the beaten path, but once you've had the food you WILL be back. Best to get there before 6 as the restaurant is relatively small and the lines to get in can be long after 6. Although I have had several items on their menu anything, but especially the chicken, in mole sauce is exceptional. Very reasonably priced.

Love Nuevo Laredo Cantina and think it is one of the best Mexican restaurants at which I have ever eaten. I love that it is a bit of a hole in the wall with a great menu. Try the Holy Tacos for a different experience. (excellent) Watch the road when crossing from the other lot. Enjoy a great experience.

We ate here when we had travelled to Atlanta to visit close friends. We love to eat, they love to eat. We have vacationed together and always enjoy hitting the hottest dinner spots. I had high expectations, knowing my friends would take us to truly the best places in town. Hearing that we were heading to a "casual Mexican" place immediately had me a little concerned. Upon arrival, my concern grew... The exterior looks pretty basic and a little "cheesy". Inside was nothing fancy, with lots of tables crammed together. The huge crowd, and a few margarita pitchers (which were fantastic) calmed my nerves as we waited a good 45 minutes for our table. Fast forward to the food...amazing. Everything was good, and real Mexican style. The Tacos de Papa were worth a trip to Atlanta. This isn't white linen dining, but it is the best for what it is. Casual, crowded, noisy, lots of kids. If you are ok with those things, this is not to be missed. I'll definitely be back.

I’ve been a regular patron of this restaurant at least once a week for the past twenty years. Today was a first when the bartender would not let me sit in a seat at the bar to finish my meal. I waited patiently for a couple to vacate their seats, as I was standing up beside the bar ledge. The bartender proclaimed there was a “reservation” for those two seats at the bar. Nuevo Laredo does not take reservations AT ALL, much less for bar seating. The bartender simply did not want only one seat occupied. The lunch rush had passed, and no one came to claim those seats in the fifteen extra minutes it took me to finish and pay my bill. Since management changed hands a view years ago, the charm and quality have declined significantly. It’s a shame.

Excellent food! Went to scofflaw brewery then here to eat. Just right down the road! The burrito grande was excellent. Green chile salsa was great! The crab cakes were amazing...so. much. Crab!!

This place is one of our favorite little spots to eat, especially when we’re on our way to or from Ikea. :) Seating is tight. Sometimes parking is hard to find and you have to risk your life by crossing a busy street. Worth it? You decide. Salsa is a tad spicy, so watch out before you’ve been served your beverage. The pear margaritas are out of this world delicious! The menu is a little different, especially if you’re used to Americanized Mexican food, but be bold and brave and try something new!

Love this place, vibe is terrific, both staff and guests friendly. Food is very good! Wish I lived nearby. People come from everywhere, everyone seems to be a regular!

Great food. Long wait for tables. Margarita were worth it. Kids enjoyed the veggie options. Guacamole was great.

Had a late lunch here yesterday. This is a very small place and I think always jammed, but the service is excellent and the food was terrific. Very highly rated, and with good reason. Interestingly, they serve Pepsi - which I thought was against the law in Atlanta. Full bar service, GREAT Margaritas and traditional Mexican dishes - a fairly extensive menu.

Staff were very friendly. Ordered cervesas and chips and salsa and guacamole for starters. Ordered chicken enchilada plates, Pork enchilada plates. Very delicious and filling! Great experience!

My family and I visited for dinner. It's a small place with a small parking lot. The inside is tight, be prepared to be very close to other diners. Unfortunately I was not terribly impressed by the food. Neither were my family members. The food was good, but there was nothing that stood out. We tried the pork tacos, the chicken fajitas and the chicken chimichanga. We were just not blown away. A little disappointing considering how highly rated it was on Trip Advisor.

Have visited here over the years and have had positive experiences. It is very casual!!! The food is very good and comes out HOT. The wait staff can help with recommendations and questions. They do not take reservations and it is always busy, but slammed at key times and weekends. In the summer months at busy times, it is very warm and the AC cannot keep the restaurant cool. With all the people waiting and the door opening so frequently, suggest sitting downstairs. If you like fish tacos, note they are prepared with a lot of sauce (mayo I would guess). The chips and salsa are provided upon seating and will not disappoint. The brisket is tender, and portions are generous. Chances of getting a parking place in front is not likely, but the lot across the street is spacious.

I love Mexican restaurants and always visit new ones when I have the chance. A local told me this place was the best so I was very excited. I’m not a drinker, so I only had food, but it was at best average. I’ve never been to a hole in the wall Mexican place where average meal prices were in the $16-$23 range. Also, many typical and expected menu items were missing. I honestly felt that I could have done better at Taco Bell.

My wife and I have dined in Mexican restaurants around the country and I must tell you this may be the best experience yet. Fast courteous staff, large portions of great food. Funky atmosphere. All this adds up to a fantastic outing.! My Mole Pollo was perfection! The others in our party had variations on the fish tacos and we had a guacamole appetizer that was da bomb!! If you're going to be in this area of Atlanta, stop in and have a great meal.

If you're looking for old school, not fancy but delicious Mexican food, this place is it. Tried a few items, and our favs were chicken taquito and cheese enchilada. My husband actually really liked their rice and beans too. Didn't try the margaritas, but a lot of people seemed to be enjoying them. A little off the path, but worth a trip!

Great food and service, but be prepared to wait for a table. My favorite dish has always been the mole chicken.

Part restaurant, part religious shrine, this is the pinnacle of Mexican food in Atlanta, and worth the drive from anywhere. No reservations taken, but worthy of the wait, there is not a bad choice on the menu. We celebrated a birthday with a party of six, and we all left in a food coma. I had the daily special - Borrego, which is baked lamb, with rice, frijole, salsa verde, pico, and tortillas. The lamb was savory and lean, and it was a generous portion. Awesomeness for $12.95. This place is an icon in itself, and in a funky old part of town that perhaps you have never seen.

We'd heard a lot about this restaurant and how terrific it was so we drove down from Marietta to give it a try. It was pretty good, though the tamales were a bit blah for me. I also felt like they were a bit overpriced, at least for lunch. There wasn't a thing on the menu besides the children's selection and a la carte that was under $9.00-10.00. Most plates were around $15.

My favorite Mexican restaurant! You cannot begin to imagine how god ALL the food is, and the perfect amount of spice. My favorite the white cheese dip and the chicken quesadilla, simple, tasty and spicy! It has wide variety, and every year it gets better. The environment is colorful, fast paced and all in all perfect. Sometimes it can get a little noisy and waiting to be seated on a Friday or Sat night will be a bit annoying but well worth it.

This is a small established local Mexican restaurant without thrills. Great Margaritas, great authentic food and quick service. Its not the most modern of restaurants and a bit cramped but it is true to itself. Very busy, be prepared to wait and hang out with a drink. It doesn't take bookings which makes it fair to everyone. Servings are ample - you might want to share.

Come early (whatever that is) or stand in line. Over the years I have been astoundrd at the number of patrons who frequent this restaurant and never tried to get in until yesterday at 5:30 when it seemed possible. After a wait of only 15 minutes we were seated. The atmosphere is great and reminds me of visits to Mexico. The food is reasonably good and while I might normally return again, the crowds will likely keep me away. We almost had to fight our way to the front door.

This was a first date situation for us. First of all, it's very noisy inside. We couldn't talk without yelling to each other, so we just ate without talking, which made it seem awkward. Also it's very cramped inside. People were bumping me as they passed by out table, some said excuse me and some didn't. It's a little pricey for Mexican and I wasn't super impressed with what we ordered. We laughed about it once we got outside and could talk again. If you like cramped places with tons of people and very loud environments, you'll love this place.

I have been in this place sooo many times! Today I tried their chicken mole and it was A M A Z I N G... the chicken was cooked to perfection that it melted in my mouth! The Mole sauce was also delicious. Frozen Margaritas are perfectly made. The energy and vibes in this place just makes me feel extremely happy! If you are searching for just regular chicken/beef tacos and you don’t appreciate what good steak and chicken taste like then you are better off going to another less pricey Mexican restaurant. But if you want to give it a chance and try some other elaborated dishes that you definitely will not encounter in any other Mexican restaurant in Atlanta you will be able to understand the magic of this place.

I drive by Nuevo Laredo four times a day the parking lot is ALWAYS full, and now I know why. They serve Pepsi!!! And some really good food. Be sure to try the salsa that comes when you sit down. The crab enchiladas are tasty as well as the chicken mole.

Very Good Mexican Restaurant in Atlanta. We had just arrived from South Florida, and Checked TripAdvisor for something near, open and Good... this one came up and we give it a try... Chips and Salsa Very Good, Chimichanga we have had betters, Steak Fajitas Very Good... We just try a taste of Chicken with Mole, and I’m sure I should order it... it was one of the best I have tried... a must the next time. It deserves another visit

Finally made it here after years of trying. My daughter and I visited for a late lunch on a Friday. The place was full but we got the last open table. I am doing low-carb, so many dishes were off limits to me (bummer). I ended up ordering the fajita salad and was it delicious! Folks, it was just salad greens, spinach, sliced avocado, tomatoes, yellow cheese, white cheese (with a packaged lite ranch dressing, I think other dressings are homemade), and beef chunks, but it tasted so fresh and authentic. The beef was so tender, it could have been tenderloin, the avocado was the perfect ripeness, the greens were crisp, and the cheeses actually tasted like cheese! I can't wait to go back when I am not counting carbs and try some of the house specialties! If they can make a salad taste this good, I am in for a treat!

As a long time, regular customer we’ve noticed many things have gone downhill since the owners daughter has taken over the business. The frozen margarita machine doesn’t seem to keep up with demand, the portions / quality seem lower and they secretly charge an exorbitant price for a salsa refill (they don’t tell you but they add it to the bill). We’ll be looking for a new place for our next outing.

First time here and we live around the corner. We have been wanting to see what all the fuss was all about because it's always packed. This was by far the best mex rest in Atlanta that I have tried so far. The fish taco was awesome and everything was fresh.

Yes, a hole-in-the-wall, not a level surface in the place, but such great character. Gracious & professional staff, tasty food, great margaritas. These folks get slammed at 6pm so come early or prepare for a wait. The nice thing is they have a good seating system and the staff run it well. You can drink while you're waiting so all is not lost. I really can't say enough nice things about them-they've all been said before-I'm sure. Not fancy, kitschy Mexican decor, great service, good prices, family friendly and great classic Mexican fare. Can't wait to come back! **just come early or relax and wait your turn**

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. It's a hole in the wall but you can't beat the food. Best fresh salsa, brisket tacos and the Cadillac margarita! We always get there early to avoid the wait.

I have been going here for years and have never been disappointed. Scan the traditional Tex/Mex menu and pick anything you like. It is always good, service is quick, friendly and inviting. Not a some fancy chef's precious take on Tex Mex but the real deal. Plates too hot to touch hold wonderful bites. My personal favorite is chiles rellano. I always order when trying a new Mexican place and the ones here are my gold standard. Comfort food sor the southwestern inclined. The kitschy decor only adds to the fun.

im big on reviews, But being from Texas and Mexican this food was not what i expected it to be. Extremely over priced food & long waiting time for a party of 11 Very Very small restaurant and would not recommend it. Now the lemonade was Mexican style and very delicious. the food was not good. Your better off going to Taco Bell or Taco Cabaña to eat the same exact food. Unless your willing to pay $10 per taco then save your self a trip and your money.

Nuevo Laredo serves real Mexican home-cooking. You'll know this as soon as the salsa hits the table. Chopped tomato with chunks of fresh onion and whole sprigs of cilantro. No blenderized salsa here. Chips are warm and fresh. My wife had the Nuevo Laredo Beef Nachos. They were a platter of seasoned, delicious beef with frijoles, a scoop of sour cream and guacamole. The nachos underneath weren't the chips but a larger nacho that resembled a tortilla. She loved them! I had the Brisket Barbacoa. Amazing flavor and so tender. They come with three tortillas and I had rice and beans. Also some pico de gallo. There were eight wonderful pieces of this brisket. I scooped everything into shell and topped it with salsa. So good! Brought half home. The service is great as is the food. Heard other tables asking for advice and most were following it. The place is not big and you may have to wait but it will be worth your time! There's a reason Atlanta Magazine loves them and Zagat gave them their Award of Distinction.

Great choice if you're craving for mexican food. I ordered the chicken quesadillas and they were tasty and cheesy :). Great atmosphere and the staff working here is very kind.

We go here often. They have very authentic Mexican food. From the Salsa to the dishes to the drinks. Everything is great! Food is a little pricey but worth it. Portion size is big. Location is very fun and always busy.

Crowded, but very good service and excellent food - make sure you get the real Margarita, not the one that uses a pre-mix (they are two different items on drink menu)!

It appears that the quality and taste of the food has already been adequately covered. But, the service, the cleanliness and yay, the parking was also great!

I went on a business meeting. The service was great. It gets packed quick! Food is really good! I plan on returning for more meetings and lunches

Wonderful food - vegetation, brisket, fish, shell-food dishs are very tasty I fell up the stairs and they picked up and checked on me. they are sweet people.

Killer homemade margaritas. Excellent mole sauce. Salmon is fantastic. Favorite mexican restaurant in Atlanta

I would have given a four star rating but the cheese in the cheese enchilada was not melted and in fact cold even though the plate was very hot. Also, the child's quesadilla tasted burnt. The brisket burrito was very good. They make a very good mole sauce and the salsa is very tasty. The server was attentive but not very friendly. This was our first visit. I was expecting a little better experience based on the reviews.

Order the Cadillac margarita-you will love it. We also had delicious quacamole and chips. Order the fish tacos made with salmon, fajitas or a delicious fajita salad. The atmosphere is fun and they are always packed.

This is a relatively small, always busy restaurant with excellent food and great margaritas. Service was great - and they did a great job embarrassing me for my birthday :)

Awesome Mexican food in tucked in west mid town Atlanta location. I ordered a takeout, the food was ready by the time I got there. Tasty as always, big serving of chips and salsa complimentary.

Family and friends group of 4 seated quickly, ordered and served without delay. The order arrived complete. Overall friendly setting.

Nuevo Laredo Cantina was packed for lunch. The service was fast. The complimentary chips and salsa were refilled without asking. The tacos delicious. The queso good. The fundido was served with the chorizo and pico on the side. I wish more restaurants did this. The place is very festive .

Delicious authentic Mexican food! I ordered spinach enchiladas and they were amazing. The portions are big, so perfect for 2 meals. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for tasty authentic Mexican food.

Beautifully decorated, staff very friendly! Started with chips and guacamole dip and cervesas! Ordered Enchilada Pollo and pork enchilada plate. Awesome tasting food as usual! Great place to relax and enjoy great drinks and wonderful foods with family!

Nuevo has a mgr who thought it would be ok to switch Grand Marnier to Orange Gala completely changing the drink Nuevo has perfected for years. Shame on you greedy one!!

The food here is always on point. There is always a wait and it's a bit crowded, but it's worth it! I love the margaritas and fish tacos are amazing!!! The parking is a challenge sometimes.

We eat there all the time. Great food. Taco da carna asada are my favorite . Lobster enchilada is awesome. Cheese dip with spinach the best.

We chose to sit outside today and it was very nice. Service was great and very prompt. My husband had the Mexican sandwich with brisket shared with me. It was very good. The brisket was barbecued and was very tender. It was a hoagie type bread and served with onions, lettuce, tomato, and jalapeños with mayonnaise. I had the nachos asada with fajita steak. The nachos were arranged around the platter with refried beans and steak on each chip. In the middle of the platter was lettuce, tomatoes and jalapeños. I requested chili con queso in place of the shredded yellow cheese and added their salsa (which is the best I have ever had). I also had their house margarita on the rocks, served with an orange and lime wedge. I thought the margarita was amazing. Great restaurant.

We came by for dinner on a Friday evening at around 6pm and it was already pretty packed but we got a table right away. Salsa and chips great, some menu choices I hadn't seen in Mexican restaurants before including quite a range of vegetarian options. I tried the avocado tacos, 2 white corn tortilla with fresh avocado and shredded cheese with rice and beans. Very simple but I really enjoyed it. One friend had the beef tacos and one the carnitas, all very happy We also had a jug of margaritas, they were good! About $115 for everything. If I lived in Atlanta would probably be here a lot.

Authentic Mexican food. A very low profile place but amazing food. An amazing vibe and people seem to love this place. Our first visit here. We got there around 8 pm on a Thursday and had to wait almost 45 minutes for a seat. Be prepared to wait to be seated. It is easy to wait it out as you can pickup some amazing cocktails and wait in the patio. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for authentic Mexican food.

We stopped here on our way to a music festival. My friend with the GPS phone app was looking for a good Mexican restaurant and this one was, as far as we were, matching shortest distance from where we were and good ratings. We arrived around 11 am and we quickly got a table. Food was served quickly too and was good. We liked the atmosphere with all the decoration on the wall and the friendly service of the waitress who stopped and chatted with us at the end of the meal. They were also able to accommodate some food restrictions of one of our group. If we lived here we would come back.

Visiting from out of town and needed to get a "light meal" before heading to airport. Would have never found this place without trip advisor. Food was really tasty and the staff helped with recommendations and supplying extra spicy hot sauce.
Everything was amazing!
The service was excellent, the food was amazing & authentic. We just beat the evening rush. We were in awe as to how many people were waiting and I see why now. I recommend this place to anyone. They will see me again very soon.
