Unbelievable Italian foods

By Diegole58 |

This place was a fantastic discovery. The foods I was authentic Italian taste. Carmine , the pizzaiolo , was unbelievable. He prepared the really napoulitan Pizza . The “pasta e patate with provola Cheese” was so good. The dessert “Flauto with Nutella “ was amazing. Definitely I’ll come back!!

Authentic, top notch Napoletan pizza

By tianao529 |

I hesitate advertising this place on TripAdvisor, because it's been getting harder to get a table there without a wait. But I have to do it justice and confirm: this is some of the best Napoletan pizza you will find anywhere, let alone in Florida. I can't speak to other dishes - there is only so much room in my stomach, and when I come here, I only get pizza. Can't go wrong with any combination, but my favorite is burrata and a generous heaping of shaved truffle, called Vesuvio. Add activated charcoal to the dough if you particularly care about your digestion and/or Instagram account. And no need to thank me, just finish your meal fast enough, so I can still get a table.

Great restaurant great servers

Disappointing

By MIA DayTripper |

What a disappointment. Drove from Coral Gables based on all the rave reviews. The food is average at best. The only saving grace is the pizza and even that is just better than average. The food took forever to get to our table (+25 mins appetizers and +30 min entrees). The appetizers are over priced and the food quality sub par. If this wasn't enough one of the servers had a dirty tomato sauce covered fork fall off her tray and land on the back of my new white linen shirt. The owner who was walking right behind her saw and saw it happen never had the courtesy to come over and apologize for what had happened. That showed a level of unprofessionalism that I have not experienced in a very long time. I am sure that this would not happen in the sister restaurant in Florence or for that matter at a McDonalds. When I confronted the owner after I had paid the check the response I got with translation assistance from the servers (his english is very limited) is that he was jet lagged! Really?!? Will not be back.

Little slice of Italy

By lulubirdie |

Wow, fabulous new addition to the Upper Eastside! First off, the food is delicious, creative and fabulous pizza. Atmosphere is adorable, light with a positive vibe!!! Maybe it's the life sized angel Gabriel floating from the ceiling or all of the details imported from Naples, Italy along with the pizza oven but it seems like a little slice of Italy on Biscayne Blvd. We tried a lovely seared scallop dish, the tuna tartare was perfectly prepared on a bed of avocado and the selection of pizzas mind blowing!!! Lots of yummy pasta selections, we loved the eggplant version. There is even a gluten free version of pizza that was crispy and delicious. The mini cannoli were just the perfect ending to a fabulous dinner. Can't wait to go back!!!

Best Neapolitan pizza in town!

By Angelo O |

Hands down the best Neapolitan pizza in Miami. Service is great and food is awesome. My favorite is the Margherita with Bufala DOP, but sometimes I go for the calzone, which is also great.

AMAZING NEAPOLITAN PIZZAS!

By Adriana R |

There are a lot of Italian Pizzerias in Miami with good and authentic pizzas, but this is just my favorite place. The restaurant has such a high ceiling that you think you’re in a Cathedral Dome, also considering the flying angel and their permanent presepio… but then you see Maradona’s shirts hanging over the kitchen and you quickly come back to reality! The restaurant can be very packed and loud at night, but if you go on a Saturday for lunch, it’s all yours: if you are still wary because of Covid, at lunchtime you will feel very comfortable. They also have a narrow patio with outdoor seating, basically sharing the noisy traffic with US1; but being Italian this reminds me of home, where outdoor seating of restaurants is very commonly directly on roads. The parking is unfortunately extremely limited, therefore you have to park on the side street road and pay, but we don't mind the extra charge because their pizzas are AMAZING! Authentic Neapolitan style and at very good prices. And don’t get scared of their size: Italian pizzas are usually left for a couple of day to levitate and it is this extra step/time that makes the “big” pizza doughs very digestible. However, if you need more help with digestion, try their black “carbon” pizza: not very appealing to the eyes, but it is lighter on your stomach without changing the taste. I have tried almost every pizza they have, and absolutely love them; that is why I never got to try their other dishes: their pizzas are too special!

Delicioso!

By krisgul |

A little piece of Napoli right here in Miami. Incredible food and service. Great back story...authentic Neopolitan pizza...dough made from scratch...allowed to rise for 30-40 hours...brick oven that creates perfection. Octopus salad with garlic, lemon, EVOO and herbs complimented our charred eggplant and roasted tomato ragu---just tantalizing. Black dough just incredible. Burrata and fresh basil and spicy sausage made the pizza over the top! Incredibly kind staff...grazie Salvatore!

Pretty authentic Italian

By Pedro T |

Located in the Biscayne Blvd. area of Miami, it provides an excellent Italian cuisine for that zone. My gnocchi dish was flavorful but small, while my son’s calzone was larger. Both plates tasted very good. No lunch menu and gratuity is added to the check before you get it.

Amazing pizza napoletana

By Malone97 |

There are no words that can describe the nostalgic relief, someone like me, so far from home, gets when she eats at a place like O' Munaciello. I was born and raised in Italy, and the meal at this restaurant is as great as any Great restaurant in Napoli. I could close my eyes and I was home. The Frittura di Pesce (Fried Shrimp and Calamari) was amazing, crunchy and light, flavorful but balanced and complimenting the seafood without overpowering with breading. The pizza was AMAZING! The dough, the sauce, the toppings were all, perfectly fresh and enhancing each other at every bite. The crust cooked to perfection in the wood fire oven, like only a true Neapolitan Pizzaiolo knows how to do. The pastiera at the end of the meal was also very good, sweet to perfection with the traditional aromas of orange blossoms and Millefiori, it was the perfect end to our meal, and a great homage to Naples and its Easter's traditions. Carmine and his staff were welcoming and attentive, making sure our meal was to our satisfaction, and our experience was the best. What can I say? If you're in Miami, and you are craving AUTHENTHIC Italian food, you absolutely have to try O'Munaciello. You will not be disappointed.

So happy this restaurant crossed the Atlantic!

By MarkBMiamiBeach |

Very excellent menu. Only two of us came for this meal, so limited dinner to salad, black pizza and cannolis. Wonderful service and happy patrons. We'll be back!

Best Italian Pizza Ever!!!

By alicinapi |

Munaciello Miami is THE PLACE!!! Wonderful location, italian owners, neapolitan pizzaioli and...the best pizza ever! We are two italian girls and we went at Munaciello for our last dinner in Miami and all we found is very special restaurant, full of neapolitan items and ceramics, a terrific location and for sure the very italian pizza!! All the ingredients come directly from italy, the staff is great and professional, so what else can we say...try Munaciello's pizza!!!

One of the best Italian restaurants however my car was vandalized

By RogerGCarrillo |

Great pizza (Black Vesuvio) and awesome pasta tagliatelle calcio e Pepe and spaghetti with shrimp. The service was very good provided by Daniel and Lorenzo. The chef Jacomo and Carmine made us feel that we were part of the family and we were in Napoli, Italy I was saddened to firm out that my car was vandalized and the thieves tried to steal it. There was no security video camera or outside security agent. I would like to go back but I fear for my security

THE BEST PIZZA EVER

best pizza in Miami, Neapolitan flavor and original products. definitely worth trying!! I’m a pizza lovers and definitely one of the best PIZZAS I ever tried!!! Carmine il PIZZAIOLO e’ un artista !

Really authentic pizzeria

By Leonardo |

Really good food. Tiramisu not the best but in the end the price was actually not that high considering Miami prices these days.

very original pizza

By giomar54 |

Fantastic pizza

By alonmoradi |

This place offer constantly excellent food , the pizza is outstanding , I don’t know in Miami a place who offer a better pizza .

Not recommend

By Antonella I |

Overpriced and awful management. The manager was very rude. Tips are arbitrary, means included in the check, and you can’t decide it based on the service received.

Excellent pizza

By alonmoradi |

The place is not super elegant but I got to say the pizza is really good a real Napoli style pizza. Ingredients are very good. The easier was nice and let us park the two strollers close to the table. Price was ok. Definetely one of the best pizza in Miami.

Great food and even better people

By Carolyne C |

We went because of other reviews on TripAdvisor- and was not mislead. The pizza was outstanding - as good as New York Naples style pizza. We started with the fried calamari and it was crisp and tasty. Our server Dario was so nice and we had a great conversation. We returned two days later and Dario remembered and gave us a glass of champagne. We had a regular meal of Branzino which was light and tasty. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Napoli at its best

By Iwuvtotravel |

Love this pizza .. true Napoli restaurant and very good pizza. Next time we will try another one form their selection which is pretty big but the menu is almost too much for me yet I'm sure many will find it just perfect. I can't remembrance of the pizza but pic is below. Loved the taste of the tomatoes n crust was not thin or thick. Moderate price as well

Highly Recommend

By DEG365 |

I have been many times for lunch and dinner. Authentic Neapolitan food. Excellent pizza and pastas. The pizza menu is vast. They are from Napoli. It has a lot of traditional Neapolitan decoration. The service is quite good here as opposed to most Miami restaurants.

WOWWWWW!!!!

By Allison Q |

My friend and I genuinely have no words.. Our waitress Melisa was INCREDIBLE, consider yourself lucky if you have the opportunity to meet her!! We were checked on by the owner as well just to make sure everything was going okay! The food was beyond, the atmosphere and music was amazing… we already have plans to come back. This place is our new favourite spot in Miami!!

Pizza 🍕 top top top

By Gloria P |

Very typical place, excellent staff, but the best is the pizza, the pizza chef Carmine is the excellence in Miami I recommend you go and taste a Neapolitan delicacy 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

O Munaciello

By danalbo |

Excellent Pizzas and very good service. You can also ask for pasta, we don't ate this time, but looks good too.

Top Italian spot

This is now my top Italian spot. Federica was an absolute charm, amazing service. I will 100% be coming back to this location.

NEVER AGAIN

By Gabriela C |

I will never go again. I paid 100 $ for two pizzas and two beers, in a horrible location, in a bad area. NEVER AGAIN!

One of the best pizzas in Miami!!!!

By luisatravels |

I've been living in Miami my whole life, I am Italian, and this is one of the BEST I've ever found here. Carmine is amazing!!!! This place is super authentic.

O Munaciello

By Boston Italian |

WOW! Food, service and staff were awesome. The ambiance is unique and the story of munaciello is fascinating as she watches over you and the restaurant. Looking forward to coming back.

Real Neapolitan pizza

By Pasquale P |

Everyone told me if you go to Miami and you want to try the real Neapolitan pizza go to 'O munaciello the tips have done their duty excellent pizza that respects tradition, a thank you to Nicolò who greeted us with much kindness and grace and a good luck to Salvatore scugnizzo Neapolitan loaned to 'art of pizza

Thanks for insulting me

By mianico123 |

They put a 15% tip on the check - why is that? Must mean they can’t provide service that deserves 20 or 30 percent that I would normally leave. Puts you in the company of Miami tourist traps that could care less about returning customers. You are an embarrassment to the community we are trying to build here.

The best pizza ever

By Esengul |

My husband and I always come here to eat pizza. They have the most delicious pizza. It looks like small Napoli . It is very cozy and staff are very friendly. We come with our families as well. I am in love with this place. 😍 😍😍 I definitely recommend it to everyone in United States!! They are opening another one in Coral way 22 FYI in case you xan not make it to the one in Biscayne

I totally love this place

By Susy I |

I totally love this place but, today I ordered the Triosi with black truffle and porcini. It was not good at all and for that pice.. It had no taste, no shaved truffle, the mushroom tasted from a can. I will continue going but not ordering that pizza ever again

Bad experiance

By pepevivi |

Very expensive for the quality of the food and decoration of the place, there are many italian restaurants in miami with better food, I do not recommend the place

Great place

By edon33141 |

My pizza was great, everyone was very welcoming, the place is very cheerful, can’t wait to go back and try new items

Bad experience

By Maria di Martina |

We always go to O’Munaciello for a nice pizza on Saturday or Sunday night. I never write bad reviews but I had to do it this time. The pizza is always good but the service lately has been really bad. People doesn’t speak a world of English, our order came up completala messed up. The personals inside should be completely changed.

Amazing Pizza!!

By Mariano Beat |

The Best Pizza in Miami, I'm Napolitan and for my is LIFE,, Carmine thank so much for Amazing Night!!

Mushy Food

By Jose V |

We had been there once before and had a bad experience with watery pizza.,But since it is close to home and it was a while ago we decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. The pizza is still overly watery. They blame the fresh mozzarella. If you like mushy pizza with wet ingredients that slide right off the pizza, the this is the place for you. They claim that is how good pizza is made. You need to use a fork and knife to eat it because if just droops and everything falls off if you try to pick it up. The first visit when we told them we were upset the waiter said "You don't know anything about good pizza"!! On the second visit one person ordered a calzone. It is huge and tasted ok, but again, .before it was half eaten it was mushy and the plate was a puddle. The waitress again blamed the mozzarella and told my companion that "You need to eat it fast, because that's how Italians eat" The only good thing we tried was a bowl of Tagliatele Bolognese. Service was lackluster at best even though the place was mostly empty. The owner walked in with the largest dog I have ever seen and walked around the closely laid out tables several times with it.

right down the street

Amazing Napolitan Food

By SGKP |

Pizza reminded us of being in Naples. Friendly and welcoming staff. Service was excellent. Loved everything about this restaurant except the location. I suggest moving to a better location, parking is tricky and if you blink you miss the restaurant.

Excellent Neapolitan pizza

By JosepMariaMataro |

One of the good pizzerias in Miami, a place with a Neapolitan atmosphere with many details that remind us of the Italian city, offering a good product, good service (especially the very helpful and friendly manager) although their prices are a little higher than its competitors.

Pizza, pizza, pizza!

By ukinmiami |

We came for the octopus, pasta and pizza and left solely focused on the pizza! We have been meaning to come here for a long time. It's a nice environment and service was both friendly and professional. We shared the octopus to start with. Fresh and cooked to perfection. We then had the pizza brought out by the chef. This pizza matches some of the best we have ever had. The only disappointment was the tomoto pene which really wasn't great and wouldn't recommend. Nonetheless I don't want to focus on that as the welcome, service and pizza is worth the visit.

Seriously, the best pizza in Miami -- and not touristy at all.

By MiamiBeachDrew |

If you want fast-food pizza, look somewhere else. The pies do come quickly, but they are made with quality ingredients and authentic craftsmanship. Because the restaurant is so close, half of the time we get our pizzas to go. However, when you eat in, expect that half of the guests at any time in the restaurant will be Italian -- not Americans who call themselves Italian. I'm talking Italy-passport-carrying Italians. Don't listen to me... listen to them! They know their pizza! 'O Munaceillo is delicious! ...and now I'm hungry! 😊

Excellent Napolitan Pasta, Pizza & Wine

By Adolfo H |

Original from Florence, Italy, this second location in the Miami MiMo district brings a casual, chic ambience combined with superb food, professional staff and the owner's supervision touch. Eveything that is offered has made me a loyal customer for the future. Highly recommended!

Authentic Napoli style pizza: a must for Italians.

By MoItaly |

One of the best Italian pizza in South Florida, no doubt about that. I went already a few times to O'Munaciello, tried the Margerita DOP, Sciosciammocca, 4 formaggi (cheeses) with San Daniele, the Capricciosa, the Cuore di pistacchio and the Positano. All very good, made Napoli style: a soft thick crust and a thin base. This is authentic pizza from Italy, and you know that because you can eat the whole pie (pretty big) without feeling super full. In most places I have 2 slices of pizza and I feel like I immediately gained 6 pounds. What makes this a Napoli pizza is that, as said, it is light, but very tasty. Ingredients are generous and fresh. The service was good. Now, to be honest, the fact that this is authentic Napoli pizza (Neapolitan) might mean little to many; to me it's big, I am not from Napoli, but I am Italian and when done well, there is nothing like a real Italian pizza, full of flavors, filling but light at the same time. I actually went there from West Palm Beach, about 55 miles north of the place and the main reason was for the pizza, so that's says it all. I wish we would have these guys in Palm Beach County. The prices are good for the quality, size and ingredients of the pizza (we are not talking peperoni pizza here, we are talking some pizzas with porcini and truffle, some with mortadella and fresh pistachio pesto and so on). The other dishes might be a nit pricey, as others said here, but still not crazy (understand, I come from Palm Beach County where a lousy spaghetti Alfredo can be sold as Italian for $ 25!). However, honestly the pizza is too good here to try other dishes (for me); there are other Italian restaurants in Miami for other authentic dishes; not many others that can make pizza like this.

Best pizza in town!

By Xavier V |

Hands down the best Pizza I’ve eaten in miami! The dough is light and airy! The eggplant parm was out of this world! Mimo has a hidden gem!

Not Worth The Wait

By Tony A |

Waited for over 1 1/2 hours for 2 small pizzas and spaghetti with olive oil ???? The restaurant was at about 70% capacity, not super busy. The pizza was OK, nothing to rave about The Caprese salad, was not very good (dry tomatoes and hard cheese) Finally the, spaghetti never came to the table ( How long does it take to cook spaghetti with olive oil?) The bill came with added 15% Gratuity , but when paying with credit card they do not show you the gratuity instead they have a line which says TIP__________. Frankly disappointed and not worth the wait

Authentic Italian

By Dhnelson26 |

I’m always looking for a good pizza and decided to stop on my way home at O’Munaciello. I left in the hands of chef Carmine to impress me with a pizza. He made the “Munaciello” pizza which had sausage and broccoli rabe on on side, roasted eggplant on another side and cherry tomatoes and burratta on the other side. The crust was just like in Napoli. Slowly raised (48 Hours) which is the trick for a very light and easily digested bread. The ingredients are all of the best quality and they are imported from Italy. Tried the prosciutto and burratta, and also the fettuccine sorrentina (tomatoes and eggplant). I was well impressed and will definitely come back for more. Specially the pizza which is nowadays difficult to find one like you can have at O’Munaciello.

Best pizza for real!!

By M Boss |

Wow !the pizza test like in napoli tomate souce is fresh and sweet, they also have a vegetarian carbon dough “black one” never try it before!

AUTHENTIC PIZZA

By goodaccomdation |

A fantastic authentic Italian Pizza. We travel from Melbourne, FL just to eat pizza here - the only place we would enjoy pizza in the region. We have lived all over the world and have really missed the authentic method ingredient pizza. The pizza chef was so helpful the last time too. The staff is fantastic - remembers one, takes care of one and even remembers which wine I like. I am highly gluten intolerant and the pizza dough does not affect me at all! Thank you in kind of all the staff at this highly reccomended establishment - pse consider opening on in Melbourne,FL.
