Excellent

By Barr306 |

Stopped here during a tour because it was the closest to us. Glad it was. Staff were fantastic. Service was fast and food was excellent. Steak sandwich is the best I've had and the chili lime fries were very fresh. Worth calling in.

Delicious!

By tenoraddict |

I live about an hour from Philly and have tried all of the traditional "tourist trap" cheesesteak places. My niece, son, and I were looking for a good cheesesteak, without the tourist bit. Oh Brother Philly is appealing from the outside, but it doesn't scream "cheesesteak." Thank goodness there was an Oh Brother Philly employee outside to convince us to give them a try. My son and I ordered the French Onion Cheesesteak Sandwich, and my niece ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. We all split an order of Chili Lime Fries. The steak meat is rib eye, which they shave in-house. I've never had a better cheesesteak. For real. And those fries were a-mazing. My niece's chicken sandwich looked and tasted great. And oh - the dill pickle chips peppers in jars to add to the sandwiches...super good. Be careful - the pickles are a bit spicy. I don't usually eat dessert, but they gave us a couple fried Oreos for posting photos on Instagram. The kids said they were delicious. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in Philly. The restaurant is only a couple months old; I hope they do well!

Tasty food, good service

By EmmaGecko |

I enjoyed eating here with friends while visiting philly. They had good veggie options and my meat eating friends said the philly cheese steak sandwich was excellent. The fries and sides were very good. The prices seemed reasonable. Only complaint is my friend asked for tap water and was directed to buy a bottle of water. Unsure if this is common in the US but seems very wasteful to require a bottle to be bought for some water in an area where the tap water seems safe to drink. I am used to expecting food venues to always provide free tap water bit recognise things abroad are not always the same as at home (though other us venues so far have often provided free water even when not asked for). It was only for this reason I gave 4 stars, not 5

A very generous and filling sandwich.

By IndianaSimpleton |

This was my final (Chicken) Cheesesteak in Philadelphia. Very generous with the fillings, and very filling in general. I was perfectly content with just half the sandwich. But, since it was my last day, and I wouldn't be able to save the other half for later....I pushed through and ate most of it. I do think in general, I prefer for Cheesesteaks to be a little more liquidy, as far as the cheese goes. The Cooper Sharp is definitely tasty. But, I think I'd like the cheese to be a little more drippy. This isn't exclusive to this place, but just any of the places I went to. The place's vibe is very cool. It's clean and well-stocked. I would definitely recommend to put this place on your Philly Cheesesteak list.

Great cheesesteaks and fries

By Life2Travel |

Oh Brothers was within walking distance of our hotel and if you’re in Philly, you have to get a cheesesteak. This place was highly rated and for a reason. Lots of choices, fresh baked crunch rolls , great cheesesteaks and truffle fries!! Yum give them a try!!

Whiz / Without, No Doubt

By Nick S |

There are a few places in downtown Philly to go for the Cheesesteak. I've been to several. Others had longer lines on this day, and we didn't want to wait. The only negative I'll say is the rolls weren't as soft. Other than that, everything else was spot on. Friendly staff, delicious sandwiches, and the bacon cheese fries were fantastic (if you see my other reviews, I really like fries). I'd definitely go back.

Southwest Vegan Burger + Mac n Cheese

By Tanya T. |

It's great that vegan/vegetarian options are available. I ordered the Southwest Vegan Burger and found it flavorful and fulfilling. As stated on their website, it has a blend of roasted corn, peppers, onions, green chili, jasmine rice, black beans, and cilantro served with vegan chipotle mayo, spring mix, tomato, and fresh avocado. I also tried the mac and cheese and while it was very cheesy I was not thrilled with the liquid gold. As a non-meat eater, I would eat here again. The service is friendly and welcoming!

Oh Brother Thou Art Here!

By SEY |

A short walk from the historic sites and museums of the Old City is Oh Brother and 2 shops away Oh Brother Pizza on Market Street. The interior is open with the tables generously spread out. Food is ordered from the counter; the menu has Philly cheesesteaks, burgers, sandwiches and fries along with a variety of sides. Think fried options like fried pickles, chicken tenders & buffalo wings. We ordered the French onion cheese steak and mozzarella sticks along with drinks. We took our drinks and picked out a table. After a relatively reasonable wait, the food arrived. The mozzarella sticks were some of the best I've had. The cheese steak came on delicious bread, was tasty and generously sized. The cheese steaks are a size that could easily be shared. The staff were friendly and helpful. Don't come if you are looking for salads; this is a sandwich (hamburger, cheese steaks & the like) place.

Delicious!!

By Marc_and_Kim_Z |

The bread made this place. Had the cheesesteak and it was delicious!! Pickles and peppers on the side so help yourself. I’ll be back!!!

Excellent Cheese-steak and nice atmosphere

By Michael M |

We ate at three different cheese-steak spots during our visit, and this was the best. Tried to go back again, but it was too crowded on a Saturday night. A bit pricier, but worth it and the fries were great!

Awesome cheesesteaks.

By vacuity86 |

My first real cheesesteak experience in Philly did not disappoint. Delicious and mouth-meltingly HOT. Great little venue, too. BYO! Would eat again, many times.

The best!

By joyce b |

Ate at Oh Brother Philly on a recent trip to Philadelphia. This was our favorite cheesesteak restaurant! Bread was great, plenty of delicious meat, toppings made with care. Recommend ordering "wit wiz ".

Lunch fast

By Jennifer F |

So we stopped here for the almighty cheesesteak. It was not crowded at all. Cooler place to eat inside which was nice. Food was mediocre at best. Bathrooms are clean. Music was horribly loud. Would choose another to try is my recommendation.

3.5 really

By barry88 |

Went to go to Sonny’s but there was a long line and we were cold and starving. This was about 50 feet down. Got the cheesesteak, the French onion cheesesteak and fries. The regular cheesesteak was the best thing. There was a line but it was inside. And getting a table took some time.

Fries were the surprise highlight

By Explore814695 |

I took a tour and the guide said this was his favorite cheesesteak in Center City after Jim's. The place had more seating and was cleaner with nicer staff than other places along Market Street. I liked that you could get your cheesesteak with pepperjack instead of the usual 3 choices as pepperjack is my favorite kind of cheese. The cheesesteak ended up not having enough cheese. There just wasn't anything special about it. The bread wasn't quite right. It needed to be harder. The chili lime fries, however, were spectacular. So much flavor and a really unique option. Would come back just for those.

This will land in my top 10 cheesesteaks of the year without a doubt.

By Chuck Didn't Suck T. |

This will land in my top 10 cheesesteaks of the year without a doubt. Ordered cooper sharp/with. The onions were a small dice and mixed in which makes me happy. Places like D'alessandros and some others that have these massive hulking onions on top of the steak really turn me off. I love onions...but I want a cheesesteak accented by onion, not the other way around. The cheese was also mixed in which I love. I prefer this to the cheese just being laid overtop or under on the bun. The roll was fantastic (but I want to try seeded next time) and the meat was high quality and tender. The only thing I could say negative at all was that maybe it was a tad small compared to other steaks of this price range. With that said though, I will 100% for sure be back. Also, parking there is rough so factor that in. Check out our TikTok video if you want to see more!

Just above average

By ElvaMarie |

I got the French onion cheese steak. The first half was delicious. I got sick of the onions on the second half and took most of them off. They were really overpowering with sweetness. My husband got a cheesesteak with wiz and really enjoyed it. The menu says sliced steak but it’s chopped up. We also got the fried pickles. They were tasty. Atmosphere inside is nice.

Cheese steaks served with a smile

By Adam S |

I loved my cheese steak here but even more so I love the friendly service. I definitely felt welcomed. Order at the counter where steak sandwiches and burgers are the main fare and they'll bring them to your table. I'll definitely be back.

Appreciated that they delivered

By teach1211 |

We ended up ordering from here because they offered delivery to our hotel and had been suggested by one of the tour guides we encountered that day. We were underwhelmed compared to other cheesesteaks we had during our visit to Philly. When we had a problem with something missing from our order it took 4 calls until someone answered the phone.

Outstanding cheese steaks and milk shakes!

By Timothy M |

Stopped in to check out this new restaurant and was happy to find specialty milk shakes and steaks made with Ribeye meat that are so delicious you just have to stop by and try.

Awesome food

By CBI45 |

So we are visiting from out of town and my wife finds a 10% off coupon and we think we’ll try it. They’ve only been open for 9 mos. when you enter its clean, nice decor and friendly. Great people. They explain about their food and they quality ingredients that they use. Great taste, prices about equal to a five guys. It’s great quality for a reasonable price. Excellent value. Would strongly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Great sandwich & service

By opjp |

While in town for the day we were recommended to try this place and glad we did. Food was really good and service was great. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The A-1 Philly cheesesteak was fantastic. My daughter had the chicken tenders and she said they were one of the best. For dessert try the fried oreos!

Excellent "fast" food for the price.

By Manrique G |

This is the kind of place where you order in the counter and they take the food to your table, a place I expected to be "fast food" and it certainly has fast food prices. The quality is great, especially for the price, and it is BYOB place. It was an excellent choice within a budget.

Dinner

By renab320 |

So we have gone twice now. The cheesesteaks are good. Friends had brisket sandwich and buffalo chicken sandwich were also said to be good. Friendly staff!

Best food and milkshakes

By Mary P |

I had the brisket sandwich and my partner had the cheesesteak. We had two milkshakes. All were delicious. Also dining were Transit police, a family of four, and other older couples like us. The staff is friendly and helpful. I didn't find it that expensive, I could have used a little more meat on my sandwich. We were in Philly for just one night and were happy to find Oh Brother.

Sweet treat

By Davidamy617 |

Our girls loved their sweet treats. The staff was good. The service was fast. We sat and enjoyed a bit of dessert.

Casual Philly Eats with Prompt Service, But Food Falls Short of Expectations at Oh Brother Philly

By dennisE1964 |

I recently dined at Oh Brother Philly in Philadelphia, PA, and found the experience to be quite average overall. The ambiance was casual and relaxed, and the restaurant was clean. We had no wait upon arrival, and the service was prompt and friendly. Our food, however, took about 10 minutes to arrive, which was fine since we managed to beat the rush. I ordered the Seeded Coop, swapping out the cheese for pepper jack, while my wife opted for the hamburger. Unfortunately, the food was just okay—not bad, but nothing memorable. Given the reputation of Philly’s food scene, I was expecting a bit more. While the service was great, I’d likely choose a different spot the next time I'm in the area.

Great Place to Eat with Family

By Mark B |

While making a loop around the Independence Mall, we were directed to this place by a guide. It was amazing! Rib-eye Philly cheesesteak sandwiches were AMAZING and we all agreed it was the best sandwich ever!

Burgers & Fries, Yeah

By Andy K |

Been here a couple of times since they opened and enjoyed everything I've ordered. The bacon cheeseburger is very good and the brisket sandwich was good and tasty, if not a little bit on the dry side. They make really good fries served in a sharing sized portion. Not sure how much experience the front of the house staff has, service has been a little spotty, with the fries coming out after I was halfway done with the burger. And then only after I reminded them that I had ordered fries. I'm sure they will improve with experience.

Good Philly Cheese Steak

By Efi G |

Nice spot to sample a Philly Cheese Steak. Fresh, tasty. Order & Pay at the counter, try to find a spot (could be busy) and wait for the food. Tip: try the house cold tea/ The Burger is not bad as well. The fries are awesome.

Mac n Cheese Burger!!

By Wtnss |

Found a brochure at the Independence visitor center. We went for the mac n cheese burger and it didn’t disappoint. There’s no bun. It’s actually mac n cheese rolled in bread crumbs and fried. Add a cheese burger with bacon and more mac n cheese in between. We split between 4 ppl to prevent cardiac arrest! Side note, try the pickles! We shared fried Oreos for dessert. It comes with 3.

Philly vacation 2019

By dllewis365sports |

Great sandwiches, even had a vegetarian selection. Employees were patient and courteous. Nice spacious area to sit and relax. The food was good.

It’s a whiz!

By Ryan C |

Food is made fresh and it’s delicious. Get your steak with the whiz. The fried pickles and fried Oreos were devoured. They are practicing Covid protocols but now have some indoor dining. Our whole family loved it!!!

Oh Brother!

By Carl Eats Here |

Solid Cheesesteak joint in Old town, but not near the best in Philadelphia. Nice, clean, pleasant jawn with decent rib eye and Italian rolls. Needs a bit more flavor and MORE cheese please.

The cozy place for Philly Cheese Steak!

By My_Reservations |

When you visit Philly, no doubt you would research your heart out to find the best Cheese steak in town! This has got to be it! The thick cut fries with mayonnaise on top was amazing too! Many celebrities visit this cozy restaurant for this exact reason :) Will definitely be going back!

Excellent all around.....

By Keith aka MrFreeEverything |

This was my first time eating here. Beautiful restaurant and friendly service. The food was delicious.

Delicious Cheese Steak Sandwich!

By BKmoody |

We received a tip from a local guide that this place had the best cheese steaks in Philly so we decided to try it for ourselves. We were not disappointed. It was not very crowded during our visit and the service was very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The food was served fairly quickly and it was delicious. The serving size of their fries was easily large enough for two people so keep that in mind when ordering.

Good Food!

By Kaitlin R |

Good food! Got a Cheesesteak and some chicken tenders. Don't have a photo cause I inhaled it. Their fries were good too! I recommend getting more cheese or some mayo cause the bread was a little dry.

Overated. Dry meat & no taste

By _tomnguyen001 |

Man, we were so excited to try this one as it is one of the highest rated cheesesteak joints in Philly. This was our third on a mini-cheesesteak crawl. Total disappointment. The bread is dry and so is the steak. Little cheese. Not much taste. Fair amount of meat but super dry and no taste at all. What in the world with all the high scores? Also ordered the truffle parmesan fries. Just average :(

Saturday Before the Xoncert

By Craig S |

Great Sandwiches. We had a cheese steak and the Mac and cheese burger. Fast friendly service. Prices reasonable. Thanks

Great Philly Cheese Steak

By Jenine & Bruce |

The place seemed clean. Counter service. Decent size Philly Cheese steak, lots of steak and the bread was amazing! Not a long wait either during the dinner rush on a Saturday. Wait staff was pleasant. Just wish the front door would close completely, it was cold and had to be manually closed after every person.

Cheesesteaks for lunch

By Jessica S |

We decided to go to Philly for cheesesteaks for lunch today. There is street parking as well as pay lots in the area. We ordered 3 cheesesteaks and 1 smoked brisket sandwich. We also had a large order of fries. They do have cheez whiz which is a requirement in my son’s opinion. Unfortunately they do not have Coke products. There is a clean bathroom for patrons only. There’s seating with a long banquette and free standing tables. They had self serve peppers and separate jar of pickles which were good. Ordering was done at the counter and then delivered to our table. When we were done, someone stopped by our table to collect our plastic trays. The sandwiches overall were good. It would’ve been a rating of 4 stars except we didn’t like that the sandwich buns were toasted and we didn’t care for the thick cut French fries. Otherwise I liked that the people were friendly and it was clean with a nice atmosphere.

Great steaks - Great service

By LZWriter |

We were very happy with our lunch at Oh Brother Philly. All of the food was very well prepared, we were a group of adults and children and all of our selections were great. The staff could not have been nicer and we ended up with a free order of onion rings and fried oreos for the table. This place was originally chosen because they have generous seating and good reviews - great food, really nice place.

OMG! Amazing

By MrsMiller777 |

My husband and I stopped in on a whim and he ordered the liberty burger and I ordered the French Onion. I was not specific as I had planned on having the burger but they brought the French Onion Cheesesteak. I thought I was disappointed until I tried it and I was extremely happy the "mistake" was made. Both meals were amazing and we'd definitely come back if we were in the neighborhood.

OMG!!! SO GOOD!!!

By 86gaby |

I was not sure what to expect, since another experience(not here) wasn't great. BUT... this was SOOOOO GOOOOOD!!! I was not disappointed in the least. The location itself was clean, and the staff were nice and helpful. Also, the Garlic Parm French Fries, were as good as I have ever had. So good!! Such a great experience I can't say enough about how great this place is.

Great Place for Hamburgers and Cheesesteaks

By Gary N |

I had the F O Burger, small Chili lime Fries and a can of Root Beer. They also serve Philly Chesses Steaks and milkshakes.

Delicious and friendly

By samantha h |

This was my first visit to Philly and I walked into here after seeing their sign on the side walk and am so glad I chose this place for my first cheese steak here ! The place was clean and the cheese steak was amazing! The staff was super friendly! I had a teen and a toddler and both ate it up ! Well worth the price!

When in Philly have a Philly

By Dale B |

This was our first time here and had to have a Cheese Steak or 2. Not disappointed here! Great atmosphere and clean.

Great food and service

By MCC1969 |

My daughter wanted to try a Philly Cheesesteak and happened upon this location. The service was great and the food was delicious. It was a bit pricey. We highly recommend it.

Excellent burgers in a welcoming place.

By ab Moi |

Perfect for relaxing and enjoying a good American burger with the family. MEF with Mac and Cheese: it’s pasta! Allow €25 per person for a dish with fries and drinks but you will get your money's worth on the doses.

Try it!

By Flavia V |

Simple and clean place, nice and helpful waiters. Really good sandwich!tender meat and possibility to choose between different types of cheese

Great food

By Kswett |

Super good food!! Walk in, wait in line, give your order, sit down. Masks are worn by employees at this time. It was super busy but worth the wait! We even stayed for dessert (take home) fried cheesecake and fried Oreos…so good! Cookies and cream milkshake was another favorite.

Great Cheesesteak

By Jtw-ny |

Great food, clean and spacious! If you’re looking for a great cheesesteak this is the place. Service was fast and friendly food amazing

Great meal, friendly staff in a busy location

By wccope |

The very welcoming staff at Oh Brother will start your meal experience off to a great start. Then the food comes and you know you love this delicious restaurant in a pretty busy part of town. Our meal was top notch and we couldn’t have asked for better service.

Great ribeye sandwich!

By Márcio Santos |

Oh brother!!! If you are in Philadelphia, don’t miss the chance to eat a great ribeye sandwich at the Oh Brother! They have a different set of sanduíches plus hambúrgueres! There is a great spacious dining area. The staff is quite helpful. The sandwich is really tasty!!! Enjoy!!!

Lite Dinner after a long day

By TrailWalker408 |

Would you believe the hotel had a 10% off coupon for this place and we were new in town so we decided to try it. A 4 block walk later we found it. The menu had a variety. My wife was pleased with a smoked brisket sandwich. My Cheese burger was standard. The Sodas were expensive, Philly has a high soda tax. The inside was old, but clean.

Great choice for a delicious Philly Cheesesteak

By Erik L |

Dropped in for a quick lunch to try a real Philly cheesesteak. We selected the french- onion version and it was fabulous. Only drawback was the fact that they do not have Coke products.

my2cents

By My2Cents707 |

Stoped in for a Philly cheesesteak and it was excellent. Much better than the other two famous places. Service was fast and friendly..

Scrumptious

By Adam Krueger |

Highly recommend. This place appears to be just a bunch of guys treating each customer as another brother(women included); that is to say with respect and kindness. The building itself has a wonderful atmosphere to it as well, lots of wood and dimmer lighting. I loved it. The food itself was delicious! I got the cheesesteak sandwich. Perfectly crafted and toasted. Large too, I really didn’t even need my regular side of fries! But I had been torn between what I got and what they call “Mac and Cheese Heaven”. I have to come back sometime to give that it’s fair shot too! The cashier told me that all of the locals actual get the crispy chicken sandwich, so if steak or beef isn’t quite your style, there’s still something delicious for you to have!

Interesting to say the least

By Ashley J |

I may revise when I go back for milkshakes and cheesesteaks, but the burgers were good-not-great. That said, I wish everything I ate came sandwiched between two mac and cheese buns!! My only other gripe is that the atmosphere, while great, doesn't encourage hanging around. I wish this was a hangout type place, but the shortage of chairs and the atmosphere of it being a fast food place makes it seem like I had to eat and leave. I also wish they served alcohol, I would have spent all day there.

Petty good cheesesteak

By BagmanNZ |

Having never had a Philly cheesesteak before I chose Oh Brother to crack my cherry. It was certainly a very nice meal. I'm not sure the cheese I chose worked for me but it wasn't bad, just not to my tastes. For my first cheesesteak I think I chose well.

Beats the others

By devo1052 |

I visited twice during a one week business trip. I’ve had a Philly cheese at several places while in Philly over the years, this is by far the best. A little pricey, but that’s Philly prices. I’ll be back

Great Late Night Cheesesteak

By zekew1998 |

This spot is perfect for a late-night cheesesteak. Most places aren't open as late as they are, so it's a perfect place to go after the bar. For the time of night that I was there, I was surprised by the quality of the cheesesteak. It was easily one of the best I've had in the city.

Recommended by a local

By William P |

We asked at the Independence Square Visitor's Center, "What nearby local place has the best Philly Cheesesteak?" Without hesitation the host said, "Oh Brother." I have no idea whether it is the best or not, because I've never had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, but I can say that it was an outstanding sandwich. And the service was top-notch.

Most delicious Philly cheese steak we’ve ever tasted!

By Dtcars |

What a great find! We came here based in the high rated reviews and it didn’t disappoint! Most delicious Philly Cheese sandwich we’ve ever had! Very tender meat! Very fresh bread! The service was great and it had a nice atmosphere! Highly recommend!

Tasty cheesesteak

By Rachel91752 |

Our first experience of a Philly cheesesteak was delicious. Lots of steak and flavourful and staff super friendly. The sides and shake were also good. Friendly staff too.

We were recommended this by our Uber driver for a great “Philly” cheese steak. And it was an amazing recommendation. This was my favorite meal during our 5 day visit.

The best

By Claire S |

The best cheese steak in Philadelphia. Made to order, your choice of toppings. Good fries and I hear the burgers are terrific as well. I work in the area late in the evening as a tour guide. It is my favorite late night snack stop.

Delicious

By lucysmom32 |

Great food, found this place on the way to Penns Landing. Husband had a cheesesteak, said it was awesome. Mother in law and I split chicken tenders and fries, delish!! Grateful for the clean bathroom too!!

Suggested by a local and he was not wrong

By Alex G |

While researching Philly and the best Philly Cheesesteaks, I never found this place. While in Philly and having been disappointed with my previous cheesesteak selections, I asked a local. He suggested this place and he was not wrong. I got the Cheesesteak with Whiz cheese and added caramelized onions! AMAZING! Also added a side of garlic fries. The whole meal did not disappoint. If I ever return to Philadelphia, this will be stop one.

First time in Philly

By emince2010 |

This was our first time in Philly, and as required of anyone travelling to Philadelphia for the first time, we made an effort to get an authentic Philly cheese steak. You hear about Geno's, Pat's, Jim's, and Sonny's, but we just happened to find this place after spending the morning in the Old City District. While this was our first Philly cheese steak, I don't see how any of the places I mentioned can be any better than Oh Brother was. Every single bite was delicious and left me wanting more. It may not have the name recognition as some of the other more established locations in Philadelphia, but if they keep producing food of this quality, it's only a matter of time before they are at that level.

My wife, son and I had lunch at O Brother Philly and what a good choice if was! The place was clean and had a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of seating. After placing your order at the counter, you sit at a table and wait a short while until your food is delivered. The Philly cheesesteak sandwiches came out hot and delicious! You have a choice of what kind of cheese you prefer. We chose provolone with fried onions on top, which was really good, but next time, I think I will choose American cheese. Of course there are other items on the menu, but when in Philly, cheesesteak seems to be the logical choice!

Best Cheese Steak!

By michelle w |

We had a tip from a local to visit this cute little place in downtown Philly. We walked from the Liberty Bell to this restaurant. We passed Ben Franklin's home and office which was a bonus. We ordered three different cheese steak options. They were all amazing. We also had fried Oreo's for desert. Yum. Fun place. Great staff. Definitely would visit again.

Cheesesteak worth your money!

By Eric |

The Cheesesteak did not disappoint, neither did the price! The customer service was really nice. However, I feel like there wasn’t enough tables for the customers to sit down and enjoy their meals, place got pretty packed. And I believe the owner can hire one more attendant to help attend to the customers’ orders in a timely fashion.

Great stop while touring

By Rachel A |

We stopped in here after walking past the popular Cheesteaknplaces. I had a delicious, thick, prefectly cooked cheeseburger. My son had chicken tenders. We split some fried Oreos (his favorite). However after eyeing some yummy shakes, I think we should have ordered one of those. All the food around looked delicious with generous portions. The decor is nice and the tables are crowded together, which I appreciate.

Good food

By James R |

Good food. We had the cheesesteak fries and enjoyed them very much. Think of a cheesesteak with the rib-eye, onions and cheese served on top of fries instead of a roll. Big portions. We split one order and both went away full.

My First authentic Philly!!

By Danny M |

For my first meal in Philadelphia, I had to go with a Philly Cheesesteak. Got the A1 Cheesesteak sandwich. Service was very quick and staff was friendly. Bread was absolutely perfect, with generous serving of cheesesteak. The amounts of cheese, onions and mushrooms were appropriate (I left off the peppers). Atmosphere was excellent, cozy yet spacious. Was just a quick walk away from my hotel. I would highly recommend this establishment. They brag about their burgers so I may have to come back before I leave town.

Best cheesesteak we’ve had

By BillAl1571 |

We came to Philly for a couples weekend from NY. Went to Genos yesterday for cheesesteak to see what the hype was for. I hated it. Went into Old Town and happened to walk past OhBrother and went in and tried their cheesesteak. Seriously best sandwich we’ve had. I had the French dip which was out of this world. Tender, not greasy, just delectable. Husband had regular cheesesteak and he said same. We had fries and onion rings. The fries were fantastic-some if the best I’ve had. Onion rings were a bit too crispy but husband liked them. Probably our favorite meal in Philadelphia!! Well done!

Cheesesteak as close to perfect as you will ever enjoy

By herb v |

Yeah, there are some really good cheesesteak places in Philly. I mean, it is called a `Philly Cheesesteak'. And this is one of the best. Two for a lunch break from the Museum of The American Revolution just a block away. One classic steak with Wiz. Splurge for me - Shroom Truffle steak. Side of fries. Steak nice and thin and tender, not overcooked. Cheese Wiz - you can't go wrong with the classics. Fresh baked bread - always critical to any sandwich. Side of fries. Sit back and enjoy. Thoroughly. And the best part - Nutella Shake. OMG! Definitely one of the top places in a city full of them.

Best Philly Cheesesteak

By TXBeachcomber |

This is a casual family friendly restaurant environment. I travel to Philly often on business and have eaten many cheesesteak sandwiches over the years and this place had the best! They use ribeye for the meat and it was tender and tasteful. The bun it toasted and not heavy. On my recent trip I went back a second night. I recommend the cheesesteak with american cheese, onions, and peppers.

Delicious cheese steak and vegan burger

By irish0live |

I wish I took a photo of my homemade vegan burger and gluten free bun before I ate it. It was exceptional. The gluten free bun was incredible! My husband has a cheesesteak and loved it. Not greasy and wet. Great bread, hollowed out so meat ratio was excellent. Thumbs up. No beer here, it’s byob

I wouldn't recommend even if you get a coupon1

By 93015 |

We were given a discount ticket from the visitor center and were told it was the best in Philly. I wish we had the time to try the second best. First, the blond girl at the counter seemed as if she did not to be there. We were not impressed the steak was dry and my order was incorrect. I went to ask the under enthusiastic young lady if this was the correct order and she said it was. Given the time we had to wait for our order I did not want to re-order. Last I checked fried onions were different from grilled onions. I ended up picking out the numerous amount of grilled onions, which were barely cooked. There was hardly any provolone cheese. I didn't eat the bread as it was hard. I do not recommend this place.

Oh Brother...Oh Yes

By 4Welshies |

Stopped off at this place in Philadelphia today for lunch. We both had the Straight Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. It was delicious and that’s about it! Nice place to visit if you’re hungry and they have a reasonably good menu though we couldn’t eat any more. Nice and clean and friendly service. Close to the shops and city centre this is situated in the old town.

First time cheesesteak -yumm

By Alice N |

Ever the researcher, my hubby found this place and we are happy about it. It's just up from the Franklin museum (if you are doing the tourist thing) and has indoor and outdoor seating. The guy at the counter was nice and friendly. If you are eating there, they will bring your order to you. You should be hungry - the sandwiches are a generous size, and mine was delicious Water and pickled veggies are free. I would definitely return.

Good cheesesteak

Dropped in while doing the Historic Philadelphia tour, got a good chicken cheesesteak, a regular cheesesteak and their Mack and cheese burger creation. All good choices! Busy lunch traffic. Cute and clean.

First cheese steak

Great place to go. Counter person was very informant. Told us all about the different styles of cheese steaks. Definitely get one with wiz. I know it might sound weird, be was very good. Great location to attractions and the old city.

Amazing Food, Good Atmosphere

By Debbie M |

The cheesesteaks were delicious! You could taste the flavor of the steak and cheese. The mac and cheese burger was amazing, according to my son. It was a good sized burger with plenty of flavor. My other son had a cheeseburger and he thought it was delicious. We also ordered bacon cheese fries and sweet potato fries, and just like the rest of the food we had, they were scrumptious! I found the pricing to be reasonable and actually a little less expensive than another restaurant we had eaten at, serving the same food, which we didn't enjoy as much as we enjoyed at Oh Brother. The restaurant had ample seating and was very clean. The staff were very friendly and we really enjoyed our meal.

Can't believe how good this was

On recommendation from a guard at Independence Hall, we visited for lunch. The cheese steak exceeded all expectations. We went basic, steak, Cooper's sharp cheddar and fried onions. Wish we were staying longer so we could return. Establishment is BYOB

EXCELLENT BURGERS

By Richard |

Restaurant not far from the center of Independence Hall, the burgers are excellent with very good meat, and what about fries that are just as good. We went there for lunch, waited a bit because we had ordered online with the QR code put on the table, we would have been served faster by ordering at the counter. The boss went around the tables at the end of the meal to see if everything went well, amazing for a restaurant like this!

Those bacon cheese fries…😋

I’m from the south and have no experience with cheesesteaks, but this was fantastic! And the bacon cheese fries with a mix of American & whiz are ridiculously good.

Delicious

Very good cheese sandwich. Portions are very large. Prices are okay ($11). Drinks are free refills. Unfortunately, the drinks taste strongly of chlorine. Otherwise highly recommended.

Great Visit

By John R |

Visited Old City Philly with teen friends from France. I had been to this restaurant previously and loved it. Again, it did not disappoint. Great cheesesteaks, great and friendly service and clean restrooms. Perfect! If you want a good food experience in Old City please go here. You will not be disappointed!

Great food after sightseeing

After a long day of touristing hard this was a great stop. I enjoyed the mushroom and swiss cheesesteak. We also shared the cheesefries with bacon. A great place for all of our family adults and kids alike.

The CHEESESTEAK!!!!!

By Angie B |

We visited Philadelphia for the first time Sept 12, 2022. I have always been a fan of the Cheesesteak sandwich so of course had to try one, I researched places near where we were going to be to get the best one, "Oh Brother" and a few others in the area had good reviews. I further researched on their websites, menu options, saw other positive reviews. We were very impressed, we ordered 2 ribeye Cheesesteaks with Whiz, provolone, onions and peppers, and a large Bacon and Whiz french fry to go. We had to catch a Train to Atlantic City and planned on eating on the train. So after hours we got on our train and settled in to eat. Not only was it one of THE BEST Cheesesteak Sandwiches we have ever tasted, it was STILL WARM, we couldn't believe it, even the fries were nice and warm like we just got them. I cannot express enough if your in Philadelphia to go here, they have many choices, of cheesesteak, and other menu sandwiches and items, and while we may have only tried the above, and a bit pricey, (it was worth it) I cannot imagine they could make anything that was not exceptional. Their staff is friendly and very helpful. THANK YOU "Oh Brother" for topping off a wonderful day touring Philadelphia.

Great little fast food stop!

By Philip Turturro |

Excellent little lunch stop for a cheese Philly sub. It’s setup like a fast food place, but to us the food was as good as anywhere else. Free refills on drinks was a plus for us! You can dine inside or outside.

Really Good Cheesesteaks

Really enjoyed this place. I tried 2 different cheesesteaks both were very good. My wife had the pizza and that was really good as well.

We were driving through Philadelphia and searched for a restaurant to get lunch. We came aross this restaurant and were very pleased! Very nice restaurant, great service and great food! Our waitress was so helpful as well. Very pleasant experience. Definitely recommend it.

This place is legit! Coming

By RedOne |

This place is legit! Coming from Florida and eating a ton of Philly’s I never realized that I’ve never had a real cheesesteak. This wasn’t just a sandwich, it was an experience... Words can’t describe how much I enjoyed my sandwich but I do have one beef.. Use fresh mushrooms, canned has no flavor. The fries were amazing also with the white american! This will be my go to from here out as I will be visiting often.

Great service and even better food

By Familywoman1972 |

This is my first time venturing out to a restaurant without reading the reviews first. I got lucky! The Philly cheesesteak sandwich and mushrooms exceeded my expectations. Most of all the service was phenomenal. The host/cashier/waiter even remembered my name when asking how was the food. Thank you for a great away from home meal.
