'Ohana dinner

By Gemini |

I have to say that 'Ohana for dinner for my family has always been a must. I was a little worried this year with quite a few negative reviews. We ended up having a wonderful dinner. We all thought the food was delicious. The service was wonderful. I gave a 4 star because of the half hour wait after our reservation time and the price....yikes! No one could even eat half their moneys worth and there is not the ability to take leftovers that in essence, you paid for. If you don't mind the cost, I would definitely try and snag a reservation. It is still a family favorite, but if the price continues to increase, as everything Disney related, we may unfortunately have to change that "tradition".

Skip Ohana at Polynesian- Not worth the price

By Buster M |

Horrible food and horrible service. Skip this overpriced restaurant unless you want to eat a lot of sugary sweet meat, fried food, and greasy noodles. Waiter never came to inquire why nobody at table was eating. Never offered doggy bag for all the food remaining on the table, which leads me to believe they may recycle food from table to table. They add an 18% gratuity automatically, which adds more insult to injury and encourages poor service.

A lovely Hawaiian, Polynesian themed character breakfast!

By KJ |

We were able to enjoy the character breakfast here and overall our experience was very positive. At Ohana’s breakfast, you get to meet Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, & Stich. As a result, it is very popular so it is highly encouraged to make a reservation well in advance. The food here was really tasty, cooked to a good standard and was very good quality. The portion sizes were also very big and should you want anything else, they will bring it out to you. The breakfast consists of: scrambled eggs that were soft and creamy, sausages which had great flavour, breakfast potatoes which were tasty, buttery biscuits and Hawaiian ham with pineapple compote which was delicious! Also served is a bowl of fresh fruit and the famous pineapple coconut bread - definitely ask for this to be warm. The theming here is lovely and Lilo & Stich even do a little dance around the restaurant to there theme tune! All the characters are dressed in lovely outfits making for great photos. The only thing stopping this review from being 5/5 is that once a character has seen you, they don’t come back! Despite that, this is a solid choice that I would happily recommend!

Skip and go to Cape May instead

By Natalie P |

Food (bacon, sausage, mickey waffles, and ham was cold. The eggs were runny and cold as well. Overall paid $200 for my family of 2 adults and 2 kids. My kids ate fruit and drank the juice. The juice and pineapple bread were overall good. Just skip this and go to Cape amay instead. The buffet at Cape May is much better food.

Ohana means family. But Ohana also means excellent dining experience.

We again had a great experience here. Atmosphere is stellar service was attentive but not intrusive. Food was great. Amazing family dining experience. Ohana is not to be missed on your Disney vacation.

Not the best. Probably wouldn’t do again.

By Lori M |

The decor and atmosphere was fun but the food was over- sauced and too sweet/salty. The experience weirdly felt rushed and slow at the same time. Like our food came too fast but we waited forever for drinks. Really not worth the cost. Wouldn’t do again. It was nice however after a day at Disney to sit on the beach and watch the sunset.

Fantastic Fireworks Dinner!

By Kdawg282 |

I took my family to Ohana for dinner during this trip and we had an amazing experience. Our server Dorothy did an amazing job handling our family, especially our very eager son who was determined to eat as much as he could! (Growing athletic teen!) We found the biggest challenge was pacing ourselves through all the courses. Every single one was fantastic, so naturally you just wanted to keep eating more! Our family favorite was probably the skillet that included the wings, noodles, and potstickers, but we enjoyed the opening salad/bead as well. Moving on to the meats, my son just fell in love with the steak. For the steak lovers on here, if you want prime rib eye skip this place, it’s teriyaki flavored meat that’s more about the flavor. Similar with the chicken and shrimp. You get chicken, shrimp, and steak that are all wood fired with Polynesian flavors. It’s all you can eat and all you can enjoy. Fantastic! The dessert came and just when I thought it couldn’t get any better it did. It was my favorite dessert of the trip and I couldn’t say enough good about it. Don’t pass, you will regret it. We booked this reservation later in the night and requested a table near the window for fireworks show. I enjoyed the ending to the meal and not having to fight through the mass of the crowds. They pipe the music in here for you during the fireworks. Great views! I would imagine we would be back here again. Enjoyed it so much! Thanks Ohana!

Subpar experience

By J F |

Save your hard earned money. We went for breakfast with Stitch. Breakfast was overpriced and the food was disappointing. Service was sub par. Did it once and will never go back.

Stupid!

By Patrick G |

Sold as a Polynesian restaurant in a paradisiacal setting... reality stings: any decor, absent atmosphere, chain service. As for the cuisine, we are closer to greasy fast food than to the flavors of the Pacific. At our table: two adults, a 9-year-old who barely pecked. And yet, the bill? Three adult menus. Apparently a well-established habit here. It had to be pointed out in order to deign to “rectify” — no excuse, of course. In short, an address to escape if you like real cooking, honesty, or just that you are respected.

Awesome character breakfast

By PLan977 |

We loved this character breakfast. Our server was attentive and very nice. The characters came around twice and my grand kids aged 2 and 4 loved them. The characters were great, hugging the kids, signing autographs and posing for pictures. They didn’t rush you. And then every half hour or so, the characters danced around the restaurant. The breakfast food is served family style and plentiful. The Hawaiian bread is delicious. The other breakfast items were served hot and very tasty. Let’s not forget the juice The 4 year old drank 3 glasses it was so good. Great experience and a lot of fun.

A little disappointed

By Nathan H |

We had heard how good the food was here. We were told you had to make reservations way in advance in order to eat here so we put them in like 60 days ago. When we arrived 10 minutes earlier than our table time but they seated us almost as soon as we walked up. They have a ton staff that are working non stop trying to take care of everyone. I was very impressed with the staff and service. They serve a family style meal where you just keep eating until your full and they slowly start bringing everything on the menu out to the table. There was a lot food my only negative was my family didn’t like the beef or the shrimp. The beef was tough and we didn’t like flavor of it or the shrimp. Overall my wife and I were expecting over the top food for the price and it just fell short.

Always a great time!!

By Kevin G |

This place is always magical. Views and smells are just like you’re on an island retreat. We did both dinner and breakfast and both were enjoyable. Some of the reviews on here are crazy and I won’t ever understand people NOT reading info prior to going. Food and prices are clearly on every website so read people, don’t bring your kids then cry about how much you pay since ages are clearly marked lol. I saw a family mad because little susy didn’t wanna eat anything and they didn’t want to pay? Lol if you have picky kids that’s your fault, stay home. I felt bad for the server but she said it happens often. We had great service too!!

Ok at best

By Jennifer D |

The characters were good but the food was only ok. Our server was fantastic and always checking on us. The waffles are nice but the rest wasn’t great. A very expensive character meet and greet.

Good character breakfast with great vegan options

By Charlotte O'Connor |

We had an Ohana breakfast reservation at 11.20. We had efficient, friendly service and were seated with a great view of the castle and had lots of character interaction. Food was good and kept us going all day. It started with coconut bread for my friend and cinnamon donuts for me. My vegan platter had just egg, sausage, potatoes and waffles. My friend enjoyed her platter and said her scrambled eggs were some of the best cooked she'd ever had. It was all lovely. As we had a later reservation we were allowed to take our time and our teas and juices were regularly topped up. I know it's a fairly expensive breakfast but worth the $120 for me.

Terrible access

By Dennis D |

Food is good, atmosphere is loud due to kids (as expected), and it’s always packed to the gills. But what is completely mind blowing to me is that even if you have a high-price room at that resort, you get no better treatment regarding reservations at Ohana than someone staying at a different economy hotel. I stayed there 5 nights and could get only one dinner reservation there during my stay (I preferred two). I was even up at 6:30am 90 days prior to our arrival date and could not get the desired reservations. How Disney does not give an extra few advanced-days for actual Polynesian hotel guests to book dining at their resort restaurant is utterly mind blowing. This makes no sense to me at all.

SKIP THIS it's disgusting and rushed. Shame on you Disney.

By Tonya S |

SKIP THIS PLACE...DISGUSTING and rushed. I've been to Ohana several times. This time June 2024 was WAY different. Terrible food (all frozen foods over done and dried, pancakes aren't fresh and hard) character greeting was rushed -like a wham bam thank you ma'am for your $178. You're better off to find these characters in the parks and wait. You will have a better experience guaranteed!

Long time fan, never going again.

By Shawn P |

I have been going to Ohanas for several years now, and this is by far the worst than it’s ever been. The last few times I’ve been was a little disappointing compared to the many years I’ve been going, but this time it was entirely bad. First the service was extremely slow, granted, times are tough, workforce everywhere has been slow or short so I understand, when we finally got someone to come over the appetizers took a long time to reach us and then after the appetizers we waited a solid 25-30 mins before getting the steak, chicken and shrimp, this is where it became immensely disappointing. The waiter brought the steak that was completely black on the outside, the steak was so dry and hard, it was practically charcoal. The chicken then came out and I guess they changed their recipe and instead of Hawaiian flavors they started to use chimichurri? No big deal, I enjoy chimichurri on steak and chicken, but it wasn’t the flavor, the chicken thighs…the fattest part of the chicken was also burnt and dry! Lastly the shrimp came out, traditionally I know the shrimp was cooked over some fire due to the shell being slightly open or the end burnt which gives it a char flavor, and it helps with peeling, but the shrimp was rubbery, flavorless and almost looked like it was steamed or boiled. I am totally disappointed in Ohana, my wife has been going there with her family since she was a child and I try to go 1-3 times a year because I enjoy the atmosphere and the man who usually sings there, I’ll never be going again, for 140+ dollars with tip for two people I expected better, especially time a Disney restaurant who always seems to be full. If I were the manager or chef I would be livid if my kitchen sent out the food that way. The only food I enjoyed was the wings and dessert. I had a total of half a cube of burnt steak, one dry chicken thigh, one rubbery shrimp, 5 wings , 3 potstickers and dessert and my wife just 4 wings, 5 potstickers and part of the desert for 140+ dollars; I wouldn’t be upset if the main course was actually cooked properly.

Horrbile Experience at Disney's O'Hana

By Mike H |

We recently visited O'Hana and had a terrible expieince. We were a large party of 20 celebrating two birthdays. We had to be seated at three tables but with the understanding we would be close together. Well two tables were at opposite ends of the restaurant and the thrid was in the middle of the restaurant. We complained and it was made clear to us that the fault was ours. Absolute horrible customer care. the meal was sub par for the money it cost. We eaten at O'Hana many times in the past and have never had such terible service and even the calibre of the food has declined. While we are huge Disney fans, having visited over one hundred times and DVC menbers we don't expect to ever return to O'Hana. Quite frankly the counter service food was as good or better for a fraction of the price. A very sad Disney Fan.

The Magic is Gone…

By Roving13434793165 |

Let me start with this: Disney’s Polynesian Resort has always been my favorite place to dine and stay at Walt Disney World. At least up until around 10 years ago when (I think) Disney started to lose their magic. The guest experience and quality of their goods and services have slipped. Which takes me to my experience last night while dining at Ohana. First, our waiter was “good enough,” which has really been our experience this entire trip at WDW. I believe that Ohana is understaffed, even though the restaurant was not crowded. The food was good, not great. At some point since our last trip here, they stopped serving the meats from a skewer, which was disappointing. The waiters would also tell tales of the islanders who would bring the food they were serving from all over the world. There was a story to be told. An added, fun experience, all lost now to the “Bob Iger, “money-grab” era of the Walt Disney Company. It also furthered the fun, semi-authentic island theme feel. That “feeling” was also lacking. They did have someone singing island songs and playing a ukulele, but it now just feels like background music, as that wonderful Disney Magic has vanished. There’s nothing special about the Ohana experience anymore. Damn shame. To make matters much worse… They serve you a lot of food, which not a bad thing, unless you cannot finish it, which we didn’t. As we were preparing to leave, we requested a carry out box to take our food back to the hotel. Unfortunately, the waiter declined, explaining that they stopped offering take out boxes a month ago. We asked to speak to the manager. Here’s where it gets “worse.” ERIC, Ohana manager, came to the table knowing what our question was and proceeded to be defensive and spoke to us in a condescending manner. He smugly told us that this was a “buffet style” restaurant (which it is not), and that they cannot provide us with the containers. He was very dismissive and rude. I took manners into my own hands and went downstairs to Capt. Cook’s restaurant, where they were happy to hand me a take out box or two. We filled our leftovers into the boxes and happily left the restaurant. My question is… What is Ohana doing with all the leftovers?? What a waste! The bottom line is, we won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone dining there, either. It was such a disappointing end to our trip. Disney’s choice of management here is subpar at best.

Confused by poor reviews; great experience!

By Wtrmlncrawl |

Overall, surprised to see a bunch of newer bad reviews here. The food is great. The characters were on point. One of my kids loves them, and one of them is terrified. All 4 characters read their reactions perfectly, and Pluto even hung around a few extra minutes to let my terrified child, who actually did want a picture, warm up. The service we had was not rushed. We spent just over an hour total, with kids that is about the max they can sit. As for pricing, it’s on par with other Disney restaurants, with an added fee for character dining as expected. I don’t see why people complain about this - it’s pre-fix. You know what you are paying when you get your reservation. I have one child with food allergies and were given clear guidance and also asked if we wanted to speak to the chef. I saw the chef go out to a few other tables, but as the allergies we have are not complicated we did not ask for that. The best part was our server. Instead of singling out my allergy kid, everything that came out had an allergy stick and she said “Everything here is safe for everyone at the table.” If you want to see Lilo and Stitch and this is in your price range, go. If you mostly want to see Mickey and prefer a cheaper meal, there are plenty of opportunities around the parks and resorts.

This is not worth anyone’s money

By Mary R |

Food way over priced for quality Dessert so sweet only took a bite Service was not great You will regret spending lots of money for this

The over all menu because it is long out dated!

By Cythia P |

Wow! you can not rate after 2023? Doesn't surprise me because Disney is blocking some things in this area and heavily. The last time was in 2023 and I rate it a one. Did not like the beef and the shrimp was over cooked. It is really a worn out venue for individuals who in the area for a long time. Ugh! We, now skip this or go to Kona.

Ohana, terrible food, rushed experience, Rude, Disney magic dies here

By Kristin B |

Absolutely the worst character experience we have had at Disney World, as frequent guests we can say this is not the Ohana experience it once was. The staff are not friendly, the characters are rushed and spend time with certain tables but only a simple pause for a photo at other tables. The food is terrible for $126 for two adults and one child it is not worth it. We arrived for our 9:45am reservation and when seated were told to allow 75 minutes for the entire breakfast. We were out in well under an hour, the biggest wait was for the actual food. The waitress Katie was present a couple times but often we were left with no drinks, she never bothered to ask if we wanted anything other than the POG juice which she did ask the tables around us. Since you are nearly shoulder to shoulder with the table next to you, you can hear everything. The food finally arrived and was awful it’s all you care to enjoy we didn’t even finish one platter. The only thing that was good was the waffles the rest was a mess. When the gentleman delivered the food his actions were that of someone who hated their job and saw all of us as an inconvenience, thank you was met with no response not even a smile. The characters took all of a minute with our son, many didn’t offer a hug but rather turned him around for a picture maybe a high five and then off to the next table, but other tables with more people they took a long time with. Our son is 5 years old and this experience was terrible for him, he loves all Disney characters and this just felt rushed and definitely not a good value. Now the worst part we were asked to allow for 75 minutes, we were not even done eating when the bill was delivered, the table next to us was asked if they needed anything else first but we were just handed our bill will a “no rush” statement, sure no rush but within minutes the same man who delivered our food was there trying to take our plates, while my husband and I were done our son was still eating in the middle of grabbing his waffle this man tried to take his plate, my husband stopped him saying he is still eating, with irritation the guy walked away. Not even two minutes later he was back grabbing our napkins, actually taking our sons plate without asking if he was even done this time, they did all but bring the rag over to wipe the table while we were still sitting there. Keep in mind we expected a relaxed meal with the ask of it takes 75 minutes to enjoy the experience, well guess what Disney we did not enjoy the experience. We have done every character dining at Disney and this was the absolute worst, we will never return. Garden grill in Epcot will get our business every time but this is a joke, never have we been rushed like this from a character dining. Avoid Ohana character breakfast unless you have a need to experience the least magical place on earth where a kids dreams are crushed by characters who don’t care enough to take equal time with each table.

Roll of the dice

By James r |

Christmas Eve night it was a completely different restaurant than the night before. The food was eatable. The service was way nothing like the night before. We asked for steak knives and were told they didn't have them. My wife told the waiter they had them last night. He brought some and said they borrowed them from the restaurant next door. The food came out minus the chicken. It came out after we had eaten the other food and ordered more steak and potstickers. They brought out full orders. We ate a lot of it but there were leftovers. We asked for a couple of to go boxes and were told : they didn't do to go boxes . The manager said they weren't doing to go boxes tonight and they were out of town go boxes. To one of the waiters credit he went to the restaurant next door and got one to go box for my grand daughters Mac and cheese. The night before we we offered to go boxes. December 23 good restaurant worth the 500 bucks we left happy. December 24 I won't risk the offensive experience. Not worth the 400 bucks. The price difference was the tip.

Fried supermarket frozen food.

By Frances S |

Disappointed - all fried food you can buy at supermarket. I could make a better dinner with 10 minutes notice on a Monday night. Total waste of money. Atmosphere too loud and you feel like cattle.

Great opportunity to meet Disney characters, but a half-hour wait on a pre-book reservation - with no apology whatsoever

By grizwaldadams |

Great opportunity to meet Pluto and Mickey Mouse - and others! Mediocre breakfast skillet of sausage, bacon with sweet jam topping, sliced potatoes and scrambled egg - and a sweet scone. We asked for butter which came immediately. We could have eaten as many skillet-loads as we wanted! Unfortunately I do not have a sweet tooth, but my husband enjoyed the sweet bread, ultra-sweet juice and Mickey Mouse waffles with maple syrup. Major complaint was that we waited (along with many other folks) half-an-hour for a reservation which we had made months ago - with no apology.

Don't go! Terrible! Too much of food and everything tasted of teriyaki sauce.

By dandel1 |

i paid $315 including tips for a family of 4 for food all drenched in too much teriyaki sauce. The portions were absurdly large but not well made at all, and could have fed 8 people instead of 4. Everything was drenched in too much teriyaki sauce; too salty and sweet. A paradise for gluttony and food perversion but not for us.

As was expected…

By Jerry D |

Why are people surprised that’Ohana is bad? If you’re sophisticated enough to write a review, you must have read the reviews before you went. Did you really expect it to improve as soon as you walked into the restaurant? My wife and I ate there in April. The experience was good before COVID but has fallen off the cliff since. Because of our age, we decided to go one last time for sentimental reasons. The only items we enjoyed were the noodles and the dessert. We can’t complain because we knew exactly what we were getting into and the price we were asked to pay. Disney should be ashamed of itself for this abomination.

Do not do it to yourselves! Stay away. Robin Hood lives here. Pretty much legal theft.

By Mr2790740544 |

To say I am disgusted is an understatement. So.. here goes. We’d been looking forward to this for the last couple of months pre arriving at Disney. We were seated one hour later than our reservation time , one hour !!! With 4 young children, our reservation was 8.30pm. The ‘waitress’ then spent the next 53 minutes, yes, 53 minutes practically throwing our food at us, in some crazy rush. I will say the food was decent. A solid 7/10 but what a waste of food it was, so much left, that has to be sorted. When the bill arrived, i nearly died, almost $600, that included 4 alcoholic drinks , and the kicker a $90 tip , for a waitress who would have been better at the bowling alley. I thought things couldn’t get worse, when I asked to pay by card, i was escorted in to the kitchen (I’m not joking) to pay on a little terminal, surely a card machine could have been brought to us. Conclusion, 53 minutes for $600. I’m not a tight person , far from it but this felt like day light robbery. I feel sick still just writing this review. For the next 13 nights, we’ll be eating outside of Disney. Just wow… spend your hard earned elsewhere. We will be .

Great place for dinner at the Polynesian resort

By Cecilia |

We go here every year when we visit Disneyworld. The food is so good and they serve family style ( all you can eat). The servers were good and friendly. You need to save room for dessert.

1000 times better than the last time

By latink |

It had been years since our last visit to Ohana because it was not a good experience that last time. So when my son’s fiancée asked that we do in on our recent trip, I was very skeptical but we got the reservation anyway. Her parents were going to surprise her that day and we wanted a special place for dinner!! After all, Ohana means Family!!! Well it was AMAZING!!! From the salad, dumplings and noodles to all the meats!!! We all stuffed our faces, barely saving room for the scrumptious bread pudding. Every bite was so delicious!! Our servers were attentive and friendly!! We will definitely put it on our to do list for the next visit!!! Thanks for the magical dinner!!!

Try once

By Lana P |

After finally getting a reservation for this popular restaurant it was kinda underwhelming. Our waiter was wonderful and food came out fast at first but then we had to wait. The salad was tasty because of the dressing but the bread is just ok. The potstickers were dry and the wings couid use more flavor sauce on them . The peel and eat shrimp have a mild seasoning- could use a dipping sauce. The best meat was the fire grilled chicken . The bread pudding was absolutely the best part of the meal!

Mediocre at best

By mck588 |

I have made many family memories here at 'Ohana through the years and couldn't wait to return. I have photos of my 9mo with the characters that are priceless. I even have a photo with the staff holding my baby and walking her through the parade around the restaurant at dinner. So many memories! This was not one of them! My baby is now 20yo and we were happy with the characters, but there were many unhappy parents sitting around us and being quite loud about how long they had been waiting. We did wait 45 minutes after our scheduled reservation time to be seated and now I know why. There were so many tables that had finished their meals but were waiting for their turn to interact with the characters. My problem was just with the food itself. Staff was very attentive and we were lucky to have characters come promptly, so no problem there. Our food was just completely underwhelming. And room temperature to cold, depending on the item. The waffles were cold. Butter wouldn't melt on them. The skillet items were room temperature, except for the sausage which would have been delicious if it was thoroughly cooked. Parts of it were pink inside so please be careful. I mistakenly thought the skillet was cast iron and would be hot to the touch, and my husband laughed at me and said it's plastic...and it was. That's why it wasn't keeping anything warm! Joke was on me! Don't think I would spend that money again. Not worth it. The Poly needs to step up their game.

Meh.

By AHJaY26 |

My wife treated us to dinner here, she filled me in on all the hype. First time at ‘Ohana and first time at the Polynesian. Wasn’t impressed by either. The Poly reminds you of a hotel set in Hawaii in the 60s. It was fine but in no way screamed “deluxe”. Felt dated. Now, ‘Ohana. We sit beside the window, with a wonderful view of the castle in MK, a perk! Two adults, 4 kids ages 2-11. Our waitress was very kind and accommodating but it became very apparent she was also trying to flip our table rather quickly. As for the food, there’s no other way to say it - it was a massive disappointment. Quality: nothing was overly hot, salad was a highlight (yes, a salad. That was the state of things) also potstickers were very tasty. A bit of this review is certainly subjective, but I have a thing about ‘sweet meat’, just don’t care for it. Every single piece of meat felt like it was dipped in some type of sweet, sticky substance. None of it particularly tasty, imo. My daughter did say it was the best Mac’n cheese she’s ever had (kids meal). I’m glad, we paid about $35 for it. Overall, food just wasn’t impressive. Even the infamous bread pudding was just…fine. I mean, even the best bread pudding in the world is still just bread pudding. Didn’t wow at all. Based on the wild, rave reviews I was really hoping to be blown away. Imo (and I’m very much a foodie), you will not be. Quantity: If quality was disappointing, quantity was appalling. The food delivered for the six of us could’ve fed 6-8 adults. By the time the steak hit the table, we were already full. I could’ve cried watching them take all the food away only minutes after dropping it on the table. It was embarrassing. It was an extravagant waste, I couldn’t believe it. Family style is fun, but like one reviewer said I think they bring more than needed so you eat quicker and more food isn’t required. Overall, my impression of higher-end Disney restaurants tends to leave me quite disappointed from a food experience standpoint., but this one is at the top. I know it’s just my experience, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all to expect to be wowed when you’re dropping $300 on a meal (which we’ve never come close to outside do Disney). At this price, just stay in the park and eat some creative and delicious snacks!

Ohana breakfast-NEVER AGAIN!!!! - Disney magic gone - Do not recommend!

By Sarah |

Ohana Disney character breakfast has lost the magic- not the same experience it once was. Entered the restaurant -several staff members gathered together, basically ignoring our party. Was eventually acknowledged & walked over to the sweet bread station - handed the plate to carry to the table.(?) ummm..ok… Mentioned to our hostess that we had another party that would be dining there as well.- politely asked if there would be any possibility that we could sit together? The hostess got on her radio to talked to a “cousin” and cast member (cousin) Kaylee walked over and rudely said “what exactly is the problem here?” I was literally shocked by her demeanor!! Had no idea why a cast member would ever speak that way in front of a customer!! Our hostess explained that she had just heard we have another guest dining here as well.& if it would be possible to be seated together? She sharply turned and said “what name is the other party under?” We gave her the name & the response was “they aren’t checked in yet- you would have to go back to waiting again and start over” I said “absolutely not a problem that’s fine”. We returned to the waiting area until the other party received their text that their table was ready & we walked back into the entrance. The hostess CMs just had a big clapping welcome for the family that entered just before us. One of the CMs - saw us and made a comment to another hostess that she would have to move the high chair from table 13 to another location. Then turned to us and said this way - walked us over to the bread and ONCE again, I was handed a plate to carry my own bread to the table!!! I guess I should’ve asked for an employee discount at that point in time- since I was basically serving myself! The table that we were going to be seated at (13) was given to another family and we ended seated at separate tables anyway- even after the additional wait time. Food was minimal portion and lousy at best.(the first basket arrived with an “ oh if you need more, let us know.” Yeah, try to find someone to bring you another plate - not happening) Didn’t even get my beverage until well after the food was served. Character greetings was another let down. No interactive “parade” around the tables with brooms and coconuts for the kids anymore. To summarize - Ohana no longer has staff that made you feel welcome /act like they are happy to have your business. Sad to say- it is no longer the magical “must do “ experience that Ohana used to be! Spent hundreds of dollars - to self-serve carry a small square of bread to the table - to accompany a plate of cold biscuits- slop covered deli chunks of ham, light grey sausage links, and cold Mickey waffles . Better options are out there for meet and greets!!! Ohana has completely lost the Disney magic!!! Rude staff and Sub-par food!!!! Go elsewhere!!! Unless you enjoy being treated horribly and dining on cafeteria seconds for top dollar!!!

Waste of Money - Food has gone downhill

By mary h |

Very disappointing experience for $400! We had been to this Character Breakfast a few years ago and it was one of our favorites that we always recommended to other people. Unfortunately, it has gone down hill since our last visit. They used to serve Huge Hawaiian Breakfast sausages, which my husband has been raving about for years. Now, they just serve the regular old brown and serve variety that you can find at any budget motel. Our waitress, Cindy, was lacking the Disney magic that you usually get from cast members. She seemed bothered when we had to flag her down to tell her our water glass was dirty and had meat floating in it! Then we had to get another server to get us refills on our breakfast platter. One large tray and a smaller tray is really not enough for a family of 6 adults. We were never offered any other drinks other than the juice and coffee. Had to ask for water for the table. The characters came at the end of the meal, we had to hang around longer to actually see them. That experience was fine, we just wanted a few pictures since my kids are older. Overall, this was our last time going to this Character breakfast, such a waste for a huge sum of money!

Worst character dining

By Sally T |

I found this to be the worst of the character dining of all the ones we have done. The interaction was very poor, lilo didn't give a hug or allow linking, even though my 9yr old tried, Mickey didn't stay long enough for a picture, pluto was the better one as he gave good hugs and pics. Stitch - the main reason for going visited once and was very quick. The food was okay but for a deluxe resort I wouldn't recommend or return. Much better breakfast, character interactions and service at tusker house and crystal palace.

Ohana fell off BIG TIME

By Lululove279 |

Food has gotten much skimpier for the price and quite frankly wasn’t the same as our previous visits. It was always one of our definite must do’s. Sadly I don’t think it any longer is. Felt more rushed as food was being cleared from our table as we were still eating. Happy to spend the money but let us actually eat the food we are paying for. Given butter knives to eat the steak that was just lumps of fat. I know Disney has been cheaping out but this was ridiculous.

NEVER EVER AGAIN!

By Flipflopwarriors |

We have been coming up Disney for over 40 years. This restaurant has been on our wish list. We FINALLY decided to celebrate an occasion and eat here. Waste of money! The food is served in skillets, and the food in the skillet comes out lukewarm at best. You are served noodles that tastes like a bottle of sweet sauce was dumped on them, cold mixed veggies and wings to start. Then later they bring you steak that must be a check steak because it is so chewy I had to spit it out. Then you wait more and get chicken and a bowl of peel and eat shrimp. All lukewarm! After being served dinner it was almost an hour to get dessert. By this time we were disgusted and wanted the check. Well that took another 45 minutes. Food and service were terrible and to say disappointed is an understatement.

Over Hyped But Still Fun

By carpsonthego |

We randomly got a breakfast reservation after years of trying. Arrived early and got checked in right away. We love the Poly so having a few minutes to look around from 2nd floor was nice. Seated perfectly in front of the windows looking towards the Magic Kingdom. Server was nice but service itself average. All the food was warm except the Mickey Waffles and the butter provided was so cold you could not spread it. Character experience was good, but we have had better recently at Crystal Palace, Tusker House and Hollywood & Vine. We had a really good time because we made it so. It did not live up to all the hype. Go with measured expectations and then cross it off your bucket list. We will try the dinner at some point to do just that.

The vibe is fun and time it right for fireworks!

By Natasha M |

You are really paying for the vibe, atmosphere, and views here. The food is good, but definitely not worth the $340 bill for my family of four. Watching fireworks while eating dinner was definitely a plus! (Book your reservation for about 9:30pm to ensure you can watch while you eat)

Great food and fun

By gltrpt |

What a great experience. We had a late breakfast with the Disney characters. The food was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised after reading mix reviews.

Yummy pineapple bread!!!

By Jessica Sisson |

The guava juice was good, but almost seemed slightly watered down? Didn’t stop me from guzzling it down! The pineapple bread was exceptional and the breakfast potatoes DELISH! The Mickey and Stitch waffles were cute, but the edges a bit hard.

Not worth the price

By mxlovers |

Ate here for dinner. Portions were generous, but the food was lukewarm at best. Service was quick and adequate. The price was steep at $65 per person—if it had been closer to $45, I could have lived with it. Overall, not worth it, and I wouldn’t go back.

Exceeded expectations

By Shannon |

We were looking forward to eating here but worried about the mixed reviews. Glad we still went as we had a great time and the food was fantastic! We enjoyed every dish including the giant bread pudding desert! So good I wish we could go again on our vacation but it’s sold out!

Best breakfast with stitch!

By Cami |

Super fun character dining experience and yummy breakfast food! Characters were very interative and did more than just taking pictures with you. Food was amazing and our server was awesome.

Don’t Waste Your Momey

By GC 2030 |

Breakfast was a huge letdown, especially for the $300 price tag for three adults, including tax and tip. For that kind of money, we expected a lot more than bacon, eggs, and waffles—especially when the waffles were freezing cold. The family-style portions were a joke. There was way too much cheap sausage that no one wanted to eat, and barely any eggs or potatoes. The potatoes we did get were so over-salted we could hardly eat them, and the whole meal left us feeling incredibly dehydrated. To make matters worse, getting our drinks refilled was nearly impossible because they seemed severely understaffed. Disney has raised their prices but cut corners on staffing and service—there aren’t even bussers anymore. Unfortunately, the customer service and food quality in many Disney restaurants, including ‘Ohana, have really gone downhill. For $300, you’d expect a much better experience than this. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

Lost its soul!

By Roving511430 |

A shell of its former self. No longer is the food brought to your table fresh from the grill on big skewers but sitting in bowls that have sat in the kitchen. The shrimp is no longer grilled and is flavorless almost just boiled. The chicken is no longer boneless skinless thighs but a boned in thigh that they cover in a chimichurrie sauce to add flavor. Just a total disappointment from past experiences. Used to be a must stop when at the parks or just vacationing in the area, now it is just a memory that like many other Disney experiences no longer has its magic.

Character Breakfast

By WBJM2009 |

We loved character breakfast! Food was delicious and the characters were fun! We have had dinner here in the past, but characters weren't present. Would definitely go for breakfast! A great start to a long park day!

Decades of regular visits will come to an end

By sjulia |

My husband and I visit Disney every sept to celebrate our anniversary and bring our adult special needs daughter . We have stopped going to the dinners here the last 2 visits as we just did t enjoy the experience like we always have in the past. We came for breakfast this year . The food is very very good and plentiful. We do like family style meals better then buffets so it was a plus for us . The characters were also very friendly and energetic. The 2 star rating is the result of a few things. There are too many tables too close together in the center of the restaurant . The tables at the windows are spaced more appropriately however. We felt like we were eating breakfast with couple next to us. Our table was right in the path of all the food servers coming by as well as others being brought to their tables. The area where they used to do their fire flaming cooking is no longer in use. There were piled up dirty plates and glasses on the edge of what used to be the beautiful area of cooking. The entire restaurant felt dingy and dirty. It’s sad as this used to be our favorite restaurant . Unless we read somewhere that major renovations have been done sadly we will not be back.

A Disastrous Experience at ‘Ohana – Disney Should Be Ashamed

By dxmemxpac |

I had high expectations for ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, but last night’s dinner was nothing short of a train wreck—one of the most overhyped, disappointing meals I’ve ever had at Disney. Appetizers? Disgusting. The noodles and vegetables tasted chemically, like they’d been soaked in something unnatural. The chicken wings were completely bland, drowned in what tasted like cheap Kraft BBQ sauce. Not exactly the “legendary” flavors people rave about. The main course was even worse. Every meat had that same chemical, artificial taste, like it had been sitting in preservatives for way too long. The shrimp? Unpeeled, flavorless, and a total chore to eat—like they just tossed them on a plate and hoped for the best. The chicken was the only halfway decent thing, but even that was burnt beyond what should be acceptable at a restaurant charging these prices. And if the food wasn’t bad enough, the service experience was infuriating. When I complained (rightfully so), the manager went out of their way to embarrass me in front of other guests, making me wait 20-30 minutes before actually addressing the issue. Instead of handling the situation professionally, they acted as if I was the problem. For a place that’s supposed to be a Disney “fan favorite,” ‘Ohana should be ashamed of itself. The food is barely edible, the quality has tanked, and the management clearly doesn’t care. Save your money and go literally anywhere else—this is NOT the magical dining experience Disney wants you to believe it is.

Too expensive for families

By Seamus |

we had heard great things about Ohana but left disappointed. the price is way too high for the food, service and ambiance. charging children 3-9 yrs $42 each? ouch. will not be back

Island times.

By Travels |

Great atmosphere here, we had a special night eating here, really good BBQ food, nice island vibes, a lady playing music on an ukulele walking around the tables, fireworks from the castle in full view, lovely Disney staff.

Over the top except in quality

By clledbetter |

Way too much food that went to waste. I don’t eat chicken wings and yet they are served. The shrimp is impossible to eat. Children’s menu is only good if you have adult-sized children. Waste of food and money.

Fried supermarket frozen food.

By Frances S |

Disappointed - all fried food you can buy at supermarket. I could make a better dinner with 10 minutes notice on a Monday night. Total waste of money. Atmosphere too loud and you feel like cattle.

Not cheap, but 2 adults and 2 kids approved!

By ucas0 |

Our first time and we loved it! Our faves were the wings, shrimp, potstickers, and noodles. The grilled chicken was good but the beef was just meh - kind of chewy and cooked to a medium-rare. We had one main server and an additional server that helped bring food. The only items we order extra of were the shrimp and wings. Took a while to get someone to come over to place the order but once we did, they were there in a flash. Our reservations were at 7:50. We were seated by 8 and out in time to catch Happily Ever After from the back of the Polynesian. A great experience and we will be back!

Great breakfast

By The5Woodsys |

We have been wanting to try here for a long time and it did not disappoint! We had a wonderful experience, food was lovely and the kids got to meet the characters, good with the refills and we got an extra skillet and extra mickey waffles when requested

Not worth the time or money

By Anne M |

$199 bill for dinner for two with two cocktails. Not worth it. Good service but disappointing food. LapuLapu cocktail served in pineapple was $20. Now for dinner-started with kale salad which is green cardboard. Noodles were tasteless and boiled, unpeeled shrimp were served plain in a small bowl. Steak was very fatty and had lots of tough gristle. Don’t like bread pudding but I tried it. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

All you can eat and eat

By Clay G |

Look I enjoyed eating here. For dinner they had live music playing as well, so it a really pleasant experience. There were so many different foods served, so I’m just going to go item by item and give my highlights. Starting off with the first round. Bread: It is fantastic and very fluffy. Full of flavor and not too filling. The butter they give pairs really well. Salad: I don’t believe in salads so I did not eat any of that. Onto the dinner skillet now. Chicken Wings: The wings are pretty solid. They’re sweet and sticky so you’ll want to wipe your hands pretty often after eating these. Pot Stickers: These were pretty tasty but could also be a little tough. Make sure to dip them in the chicken wings to get a little extra flavor. Noodles: These are the best part of the skillet. They’re so tasty with a really good sauce and you just want to keep eating them. If you’re clever though, you won’t eat too many because they’re supposed to be filling and stop you from getting lots of the meats coming later. Broccoli and other veggies: This is basically another salad so see above. Now, onto the meats. Roasted Chicken: I was a little disappointed with the chicken. I hoped the sauce would bring out more flavor but it was honestly just standard roasted chicken. Shrimp: I just found out these were supposed to be spicy? They were not spicy but I love shrimpies and peeling them myself was a lot of fun. Steak: The steak is cooked medium well. You get a little pink in there and it’s not nuked like a lot of steak bits served around. The sauce on these is solid, but you really get more steak flavor than anything else. Lastly, it’s time for dessert. Bread Pudding: The bread pudding is fantastic. It’s smothered in vanilla ice cream and the caramel sauce is a nice touch. Hopefully you’re not too full when you get here because it’s a perfect end to a large meal. Also, I had some red sangria. It was a pretty standard sangria and nothing to write home about but I felt it paired nicely with the meal.

Fabulous feast!

We had a wonderful family feast and birthday celebration here! Way too much food!! Everything was delicious and the service was great!

Amazing plentiful food

By Stephen |

Great food, and plenty of it! We visited in October 2024. We did have to wait a bit after our reservation time but no dramas. There is so much food. And personally I loved it all. The bread starter - couldn't get enough and the noodles were outstanding. The chicken was perfectly grilled and so was the steak. I'm not a fan of seafood so can't comment on the shrimp. Dessert was great. Service was a bit sparse and not as personable as other establishments. I ordered a second drink which I didn't get but it was removed off the bill. But for the food... Loved it. Wish I could have ate more and will certainly be back on my next trip

Birthday dinner -- somewhat disappointing

By Haley |

My husband, parents, and I selected this restaurant for my birthday dinner, considering I had such great childhood memories of this place. We were seated efficiently after checking in and attended to right away. The first course, salad and bread, came out quickly and was delicious. The main dishes were served shortly thereafter -- they were warm at best and the portion sizes were quite large. The specialty chicken came out last, and while tasty, we found it odd that it didn't come out with the rest of the entrées. The four of us couldn't finish a decent portion of the food provided and were disheartened by the amount of waste that ensued. A suggestion going foward would be to start with smaller serving sizes and have the guests request more food, rather than beginning with a large amount and risk wasting a lot of it. The bread pudding and ice cream for dessert was exceptional, just like I remember from childhood. The server also brought me a complimentary cupcake and rice krispie treat for my birthday. After finishing the specialty dessert, I was too full for the additional treats and asked for a box. I was informed that the restaurant recently got rid of carry-out boxes for guests and was even further disappointed by the thought of wasting food. Overall, our experience was adequate but left us feeling a bit disappointed. We will likely not return in the near future.

Quality, service and price leave a lot to be desired

By Michael O |

Very poor Over rated Service was very slow and poor quality Food is so overpriced Cannot believe why this was recommended as top quality - it is anything but that Worst meal of our holiday by a country mile Do yourself a big favour and give it a miss

Excellent Meal

By Nick W |

My wife and I dined here in a Wednesday night. Our meal was delicious! From the salad to the dessert, we enjoyed every item. The meal cost about $60 per person, but so think this one was definitely worth it, compared to other Disney meals we have had. My favorite portion of the meal was the dumplings and the chimichurri chicken. My wife enjoyed the wings the most. Both of us loved the pineapple and coconut bread pudding dessert with ice cream. If we can, we’d enjoy coming back.

Top food and top atmosphere!

By Charlotte F |

We went as a family of 3 in September 2023. Our server, Brandon, was amazing. He constantly made sure we had enough guava juice, asked what food we would like more of, and really made us feel like family. We had a great table where we were able to watch the fireworks out the window which was brilliant. The atmosphere was fantastic. The guy with the ukulele was excellent. The food. Wow. The noodles were so tasty. We particularly loved the chicken and the shrimp. The beef wasn’t a favourite of ours but there was nothing wrong with it, it’s just not our favourite thing. The dumplings were also fantastic. I don’t even have words to describe the dessert. Top notch. And a great recommendation by our server to record pouring the sauce over it in slo mo. We booked this 60 days in advance as we had heard such good things and it was hard to get a reservation. Well worth it for dinner! Hoping to come back on our trip next year!!

Outstanding service, great food

By Tom C |

This has been about the fifth or sixth time at the restaurant. One of the last few times we had terrible service and I wrote a poor review. We’ll this time around it was the best experience ever. Don’t hesitate to request Brandon as your server. His friendliness, energy, knowledge, and efficiency were off the charts. The food was excellent, and Brandon kept a close watch and seemed to appear every time a request was made. Aside from Brandon, the manager, Rakim, has done a wonderful job of organizing the restaurant. The servers are not using skewers anymore and the food is served in simulated cast iron pans. Just a great experience all around. Pricey, but we’ll worth it.

Slow getting food

By slpsomm |

The food was good. The wait for the food was long. We have been here before and this time we waited a long time to get food and to get food refilled. Our server would check on us and be surprised every time that we did not have food. The Bread pounding is the best!

Wonderful memories

By pr |

Character dining in Disney is never cheap, but we had a great experience here! The juice was DELICIOUS! Our waitress brought us out more food, the characters came around table to table. It was our first time here and we would definitely go back! Getting the reservation over spring break was the tricky part, but don't give up and you should get it!

Ohana, not what it used to be!

By jibrown24 |

Not at all as good as it used to be 😥 Service was fantastic but the food was below par! Bread and salad were fine, but the first skillet was mostly cold, undercooked and cold broccoli and the air con cooled the rest in seconds! Our server told us his previous table left early because they couldn’t stand the cold! Noodles were good, but Luke warm, wings were ok, pot stickers meh, chimichurri chicken was ok, shrimp cold and most of the steak was still mooing (fine for me)! But the absolute worst was the bread pudding! It was inedible, a stodgy undercooked lump of yuk! Ice cream was beautiful though. We asked for a manager and explained how underwhelmed we were, she disappeared and gave us a 10% discount, but it was still a mediocre $400 meal for 6. Mama Melrose Fantasmic package is now our top choice and recommendation to everyone! Great food and service.

Someone Is Really Screwing Up What Used To Be A Great Thing

By W.R. |

My family and I have been going to Ohana's for, quite literally, two decades. Preceding this I recall coming here whilst staying at Polynesia or other Disney resorts as a child. This was once an apex dining experience within the Magic Kingdom, the ambiance and menu were singular, even for outside Disney. There was a cute show with a singer playing the ukulele and calling on members of the audience to participate as well as recognizing celebrations like birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions which brought folks there. The food, again singular. Skewers over an open fire pit in the middle of the restaurant with the smell of cooking filling the room. The shrimp, beef, chicken, sausage, and pork literally served from large metal skewers right off the fire to your table. Served family style, everything from the bread to the sides- noodles, vegetables, chicken wings, dumplings was fantastic. Like so much surrounding the Disney companies today- bungled, squandered, mismanaged. If I did not know better, remember some person who tried to run Disney into the ground several yeas ago and was run off? This situation almost seems like something they would personally have been involved with. This restaurant hardly smells of cooking- which tends to suggest not much cooking actually happens. Nothing which came to my table was hot, warm at best. The prawns which they used to serve, now a bowl of medium sized shrimp which wouldn't measure up for a shrimp cocktail at a low tier steakhouse. A bowl of good quality steak and chicken, well cooked I may add, but all the sides were very bland, as well as lukewarm. They used to have some really nice dipping sauces also, those seem to be gone too. The entertainment was very very limited. A singer went by but his singing was hardly a whisper it seems and suddenly he stopped and that was that, shows over I guess. Now they aren't shy about the price, which keeps going up. People will blame post -virus and all that mess, but that doesn't hold water. They have deprived this restaurant of character and ambience which made it special. Sadly I think my visits here are over. I know they won't have problems packing people in still, but do yourself a favor and spend your $60ish a head for dinner at another place. If you didn't know the old Ohana's you won't know any different so it is another lackluster dining experience, but if you have been at this a while, you will leave with a frown on your face, trust me. Oh, one more thing. For the party next to us who carefully portioned out the ice cream and bread pudding- don't worry, they would have brought you more and besides, I don't it would hurt your kids too bad to have had a little more ice cream...... Disney management- you need go back to the way it was!

All you can eat freshly cooked food with a great atmosphere

By offthemainroadtravels |

In the Polynesian Resort you can experience Ohana and like the meaning, family, everyone is treated like they are family with their endless amounts of food to fill you up. The honey coriander wings are this sweet and sticky grilled to perfection treat and the pork dumplings tossed in a garlic-ginger sauce set the mood for what is about to come. An endless all you can eat supply of sweet-n-sour chicken, Szechuan sirloin steak, and spicy grilled shrimp just come at you non stop to fill your belly up and paired with either stir fry vegetables or teriyaki noodles you will not leave this place hungry. For dessert they have bread pudding topped with caramel sauce and bananas or for kids a rice crispy treat. To get the most out of your dinning experience eat light most of the day cause this meal is one for the ages. A side note sometimes the meat comes out just a little bit to charred at times so if that bothers you just be careful. $$-$$$

Overpay for bad quality quick serve food here. This place has plunged into the depths of poor quality.

By OnAir13048202539 |

Ohana was my favorite, not anymore. Rubbery wings, dried out chicken and cheap fatty meat. Sad to see what has happened. We waited forever for our table, when we were seated they put down Hawaiian rolls. Not the bread from long time ago. The wings were undercooked and rubbery, the peel and eat shrimp was OK probably the best thing they had. The noodles were slightly on the dry side but when they brought out the meat I was expecting filet mignon for the price. It was tough, fatty and overcooked. The chicken thighs weren’t bad, but they were drowning in sauce and were also very dry. There were three of us and our bill was close to $200. This is not what I expected and frankly, I’ve had better meals at some of the quick serves around the park. They serve an steak in Canada at one of the booths in Epcot for around 10 bucks… That was much better than what I ate here and significantly less expensive save your money and skip this place not worth the wait or fighting to get a reservation.

Great breakfast

By Susan M |

We came here last summer but we definitely had to come back again this summer as my daughter didn’t get to meet stitch (her favourite character) We all loved Ohanas breakfast. Very tasty and very filling! The characters are great and the staff are wonderful. The hotel is beautiful too.

Not going back to Ohana’s

By mark t |

We have dined here many times. This was not the Disney dining experience we were used to. The server was rude and course. He practically threw the children’s meals on the table. We had 7 for diner. We had two birthdays to celebrate and we informed the server. He did nothing to acknowledge the birthdays. The bread, wings, pot stickers, noodles, veggies and bread pudding were delicious. The beef was over cooked and stringy. The first order of shrimp was so over cooked that it was mushy and tasteless. We ordered another shrimp with the same results. When I informed the server he commented “yeah, we know the shrimp is over cooked.” That was the last straw for me. The server also messed up the bill after we fully explained what we needed. We always book a meal at Ohana’s when staying at Disney, but I won’t be returning. I don’t mind spending $5-600 on dinner if it is pleasant and the food up to standard.

Not worth it, especially if Keith is your server

By Abbie M |

Keith our waiter was very unfriendly and seemed bothered to be doing his job. We didn't have any silverware for 2 people in our party until the long after we received the bread and the salad, no apology he just seemed annoyed to have to get us what we needed. The servings they dumped on our table hurriedly were not enough to feed our party of 6 adults and we were never asked if we would like more despite being advertised as an "all you care to enjoy" dinner. The entire experience which cost our party of 6 over $550 was rushed. We were never asked if we would like another drink or anything else for that matter. The food was decent but not worth the price tag especially with the horrible server.

Disappointing

By Emily M |

We were excited to try Ohana for our final night’s dinner at Disney based on the positive reviews. It was just not good. Steak was inedible. They charged us for an adult dinner for our 9-year old who barely ate anything, and we just caught the error. Not worth the hype (or price tag).

Not a good dinner value with no characters. Don’t bother if you have younger kids.

By Lacy49 |

We stayed at the Polynesian and had dinner at ‘Ohana the evening we arrived, 4 adults with two children (3 and 6yo). This is a very expensive meal priced similar to character meals but without any characters, just a ukulele player. We were seated promptly and our server was very good. The food was served family style with more if you wanted. Dinner started with delicious bread and an ok garden salad. After that everything came so fast we barely had time to breathe much less chew and swallow. The table was over flowing with bowls making it hard to pass things around. Everyone liked the potstickers and wings, but the noodles are over hyped and rubbery, the steak was too tough to chew. I didn’t bother with the shrimp since it wasn’t peeled. The chicken was the only meat we all really enjoyed. Our server recognize our anniversary with a plate saying congratulations, including a flower and a few pretty candies. The warm bread pudding with ice cream was excellent. But so much wasted food!! So much rush (like the goal was to turn the table over quickly)!! And it cost so much money!!! We were not impressed. Not a great value and I would not do it again especially with young children. Might be fine for a couple of adults.

Character brunch frustration

By regist2012 |

Character brunch - Oh this was such a disappointment. Our server was fine although she never brought out the requested cup of water. The pineapple coconut breakfast bread was delicious but the rest of the food was pretty substandard. And we literally sat there for an hour before we even got to meet with ONE of the 4 characters. We finished eating after 30min and waited an additional 1.5h to meet the characters. It was the most poorly organized character meal we had all week. There were multiple tables around us waiting long after they were done eating to meet characters. Other places had it figured out so I’m not sure why this was such a struggle.

To avoid

By celine d |

This restaurant is to be avoided... no interest; fat coarse food at will... and overpriced! For those who expected to eat good fish or typical Polynesian dishes it’s a failure! Expeditious service

Don’t waste your money coming here go somewhere else

By Cari M |

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants to go to when going to Disney, and have been there many times. However, they have completely changed this restaurant. The food is awful, plentiful but awful. The shrimp were rubbery and way over seasoned. The steak I was not able to be cut with a knife that was suppled. Looking over at another table the child look as if she was chewing gum because she couldn’t get the steak down. It I still has the Polynesian feel from the looks of it. The bread and the skillet are still the same and good, but that’s where it ends. I would definitely not recommend as this was a complete waste of money

High prices and tough meat

By rbob93 |

Not the same as it used to be. Mediocre food at high prices. Peel and eat shrimp? Food does not compare to pics online. Two charcoal burned chicken thighs and one that was red at the bone. Chicken wings were tough and dry. Steak was tough and lacking flavor. $125 plus tip for two mediocre dinners just leaves me flat. Glad we didn’t order drinks. Won’t be back again for food.

Been there Once post Pandemic..... ONCE

By Joseph T |

Being a Florida Resident and Disney Annual Passholder we like to tell the truth and not be overwhelmed by the 'Magic' at Disney World. That being said; we had both the Breakfast and Dinner Buffets Prior Pandemic and have to say it was nothing short of being GREAT!. Been to both since then and couple comments: 1. Should NOT be called a Buffet any longer, Family Style fits realistically 2. LIMITED choices just standard, Beef, Chicken, Shrimp along with Noodles and Potstickers ending with Bread Pudding(Pineapple) ........ Happy Service but Slow and Sprint refills which should have been Club Soda ........ Chicken.... Ehh had better, so-so ........ Shrimp very good but should have a better way, had to rip apart the skin is very messy ........ Noodles, over cooked and salty ........ Potstickers okay but you can buy them frozen same quality ........ Bread.... Mushy DOUGH ........ Pineapple Bread Pudding was very good but if you don't like bread pudding there is no other desert Breakfast ....... Not much to mention except Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage and biscuits So for BUFFET and PRICE($60) we had to rate it a 2 STAR Meal.... been there once NEVER GOING BACK

Amazing character breakfast!

By Jennifer E |

My daughter wanted to have breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. I was a little nervous to eat here after reading all of the negative reviews. But boy am I glad we decided to anyways. We’ve done a lot of character dining over the years and this was by far my favorite one ever! The staff were so friendly and wonderful. They brought out the food quickly- we didn’t have to wait for anything. It was delicious and plentiful. And My picky 4 year old loved it. The pineapple bread was amazing. The waffles were even fresh and usually they are hard everywhere else we’ve had them at Disney. The characters were great and made their way around all of the tables. It’s a big restaurant, so of course if you are seated further away it will take some time for them to get to your table. But all 4 of them were great about taking pics and they even made sure to interact with my 7 month old. The price didn’t bother me one bit. It was a character meal and all you can eat. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to come back to Disney again and will be doing this breakfast again!

The Magic is Gone!

By TetonJones |

It hurts me to have to say this, but… I will NEVER dine at Ohana ever again! Located at Walt Disney World’s Polynesian Resort, Ohana is a family style restaurant serving Polynesian cuisine. If you had fond memories of dining at Ohana, hold on to them tightly! The guest experience has gone the way of the dodo. Gone are the creative tales told by the waiters as they drop a variety of meats on your plate from skewers. Ohana could be any old restaurant in any old town. The service is nonexistent. And the food is not at all worth the high ticket price. They still have someone singing familiar island music and playing the ukulele. But noticeably missing was the coconut broom race game that the kids seem to love. By the end of the night, we had plenty of leftovers that we wanted to take with us. I mean, we paid for it. The waiter stated that they had stopped handing out takeout boxes, so no food could leave the restaurant. We asked to see the manager, Alex, but he was absolutely no help. Instead, he was condescending, arrogant and very dismissive, even turning his back on us and walking away. I got creative and went to Capt. Cook’s (fast food restaurant at the resort) and requested a takeout box, which they kindly obliged. The bottom line… Ohana feels like another “cash grab” for the mouse house. Lesser quality food. Poor management training. No guest experience. Sadly, gone is the Disney Magic.

‘Ohana is a sad shell of it’s former self

By shanazam76 |

It pains me to write this as ‘Ohana has always been a highlight on our trips to Disney, but we won’t be back unless something drastically changes. This past meal was just awful. First of all, we were seated at a 3 person table where one person (me) was facing a wall with a service area where the servers scraped food off the dirty dishes in to a disgusting pile of mush and then left the dishes there the entire time. It makes me queasy just thinking about it. Then came the food… the bread and salad were fine but we barely even had a chance to eat them before the server brought over the skillet of noodles, wings, veggies and potstickers. We didn’t even get the lukewarm noodles on our plates before the chicken, shrimp and steak were delivered in their sad little bowls (please bring back the skewers!) The most edible items were the chicken and potstickers, but they weren’t great. The steak was gross.. overly sweet and rubbery. I can’t speak for the shrimp but my husband only ate one piece and said it was not worth peeling another. The only positive was the bread pudding. It was delicious as always but dessert was not worth the $200 bill. We were there less than an hour. The entire meal felt rushed and like a huge rip off. ‘Ohana means family, but this family has become dysfunctional! Please go back to the pre-covid vibe. It was amazing then, and I’m so sad to see what it has become.

Most Disappointing Restaurant of all Time

By Liz S |

Most disappointing food and overall experience of all time. Why this is a top pick at WDW, I don’t know. Our first time here and I would rate the quality of the food a step above Golden Coral. Steak was tough, chicken was weirdly seasoned, shrimp unpeeled (really, for a $200 meal?!?). Salad out of a bag, dumplings straight out of Costco. They found a use for all the leftover bread by making a giant bread pudding for dessert which was probably the blandest, most boring dessert I’ve ever had. And I love bread pudding but thumbs down for this one. The Polynesian where this is located is so outdated it makes you laugh. The entertainment was lame, really no entertainment except a guy playing a ukulele. The service is just a slop fest where they bring you a bowl of everything and you serve yourself. Waiter comes by occasionally. This is just an “upscale”, meaning price only Disney Buffeteria. Food is just as bad as any Disney food establishment. The hostess was bitchy hidden behind a fake Disney smile. It was my husband that wanted to go based on YouTube’s he watched. Well, no thanks to the person that created the video and no thanks to Disney who cannot seem to do better in the food department. I wasn’t expecting much based on my experience eating in all the park restaurants and many Disney hotels. I was right. Don’t fall for it just because it is so hard to get a reservation. It doesn’t mean it’s good. Save your hard earned money somewhere else.

Don't come if you want anything healthy. Sugar, fatty fuelled breakfast.

By 649saraht |

Don't cone if you want a slightly healthy breakfast or have kids with allergies. 17 waffles between 4 adults and 2 kids. Far too much food. Kids ate fruit. They were served waffles and a sugar filled donut. They didn't want any of it. Ham was coated in something sweet. Far too much unhealthy food. Characters cake round a couple of times albeit quickly as they have to get round a full restaurant. Been here done it wouldn't come back

Our favorite restaurant at Disney

By Talita |

We went to Ohana a few years ago and now we are back on this trip in 2025. It definitely remains our favorite Disney restaurant. We were taken care of by Newton who was very receptive and quick in the care. Our noodles were a little cold and we asked to exchange and came a wonderful noodles. We will definitely come back more often. I recommend 😉

Not anymore what it once was

By AnnMayTravelling |

I loved that at ‘Ohana the servers used to walk around the restaurant with the different offerings and one could get a carving of meat or a helping of vegetables etc. They don’t do that anymore. ‘Ohana became a very busy family style restaurant and the service seemed quite hectic. The quality of the food declined compared to what it was some years ago. Don’t get me wrong, it still was very tasty and still all you can eat, but more ‘filling foods’ like noodles etc. were on the menu compared to vegetables or meats. If this is your first visit to ‘Ohana, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. If you have to pay full price I might think a different restaurant would offer more for your money. With the dining plan it’s still ok. If you’re here for the fireworks, the fireworks views are as perfect as ever and it was wonderful that our server waited with the bill until the fireworks were over. All in all sadly not anymore as good as it once was, but still a nice experience.

So very disappointing

By mrsk |

I really looked forward to this dinner with my husband and kids. It is an in demand and hot ticket as far as Disney dining reservations go. It is family style, providing an extensive variety of dishes served to table. But I cannot justify the price we spent for the product we received. If you do not enjoy coconut you will not enjoy a few key dishes. My husband commented on how the noodles were “starchy” and I didn’t know what he meant and thought he was being picky. Then I tasted them myself. Not good. Our server was great. But at over $250 of a bill BEFORE tax and 20% gratuity, this one stung. I did not feel satisfied with the quality or taste of the food nor did I feel this was a $300 plus dining experience. Just know that Ohana is well sought after and hard to grab reservation. Do not let that woo you into trying to get in there yourself. Buyer beware.

All-you-care-to-enjoy (vegan-friendly!)

By lrnnnn |

We recently visited ‘Ohana for their ‘all-you-care-to-enjoy’ dinner. Although it is expensive (even more so than usual Disney prices), we thought it was worth it for a treat, especially given the beautiful location, overlooking the Polynesian resort, the friendly staff, the fantastic service & of course, the ‘unlimited/refillable’ food…! We ordered their plant-based dinner menu, which started with a skillet of warm bread rolls (soft, fluffy & a little bit sweet, like brioche or enriched dough) & bowl of mixed green salad (leaves, cucumber, peppers, baby plum tomatoes, red onion, grated carrot & creamy vegan dressing). Soon after, our plant-based skillet arrived - the first was filled with seasoned noodles, stirfry veg, broccoli florets & edamame dumplings (crispy on the outside & coated in chilli garlic sauce); the second was filled with plant-based ‘meats’, including teriyaki beef & broccoli, pineapple-glazed chicken & huge sausages. The dishes are delivered to the centre of the table, then diners help themselves & reorder more skillets (or individual items) as & when needed. We ordered extra salad, as well as more noodles, stirfry veg & teriyaki beef, which arrived quickly after we requested it. Finally, we finished with pineapple coconut bread pudding for dessert, which was moist, tart & flavourful, served with soy chocolate ice-cream. We left feeling very satisfied (& rather full)! Expensive but worth it!

A Disney Staple But There's Room For Improvement

By Patrick S |

'Ohana's is a classic Disney restaurant. I have many fond memories of eating there from when I was young so we were eager when my family and I were able to snag a dinner reservation. Overall the experience was good but there is definitely room for improvement. I'll start with the good: 1. The atmosphere: Like everything at the Polynesian, the theming is spot on. We had a nice large table by the window overlooking 7 Seas Lagoon. The entire restaurant, and the hotel for that matter, has an awesome vibe. The atmosphere really enhances the experience. I will say that they have jammed as many tables into the restaurant as they possibly can. There is not a lot of room between each of the tables. I feel sorry for the servers who have to try and navigate it. 2. The food: 'Ohana's is known for their delicious family style food. They've made some changes since the COVID shutdown, some of which have been unpopular with the Disney community, but we really enjoyed the food. Salad and house made rolls are brought out, followed by wings, the famous 'Ohana noodles, and pot stickers. These were all delicious and the noodles were spot on as always. We hadn't even finished the first skillet of food when they preemptively brought us out another one. Then the entree's began arriving. The teriyaki beef was delicious and tender. Although I wish it could have been cooked to a specific temperature. The one's we got were more medium, but my wife and I like our meat on the rare side. The peel and eat shrimp were great but I do miss the big tiger shrimp on the skewers that they used to serve. The chicken in the chimichurri sauce was excellent as well. Finally the famous pineapple bread pudding was brought out. It's served with a house made caramel sauce. You can't go wrong ending with the bread pudding. Now for the "needs improvement": 1. The service: Our server at 'Ohana's was pretty mediocre. I had heard mixed things about the service at 'Ohana's and unfortunately ours could have been better. It started out well as we were greeted quickly and ordered our drinks. We then did not see our server for quite some time. Other staff, not our server, began brining food out to us before we even got our drinks. This did not initially bother us but it took another 20 minutes after we received our food for our drinks to arrive. After close to 30 minutes, our drinks finally arrived and then we did not see our server for a long time after that. We would have ordered more drinks but our server was never around. At about the time we were ready to get dessert, our server finally showed up and dropped off a chicken entrée 20 minutes after we had received the other entrees. As stated above, the chicken was very tasty but we were confused why it was brought out so late. Then following another long period where we did not see our server, he finally brought out the bread pudding desert. It was then quite awhile after that before we got the bill and paid. Overall the service seemed lackadaisical 2. Length of time dining: I feel like we had the opposite problem of most guests regarding this. Most reviews I read say something like they felt too rushed. I wish we had been a bit rushed because we were there 2.5 hours by the time everything was said and done. 2.5 hours in a restaurant is a long time to spend with a toddler who wants to run around. My wife and I traded off running around with him but after awhile he was more than ready to leave. The service being so lackadaisical, added a lot to the time we spent in the restaurant. There were several points where we would like to have been done but our server was constantly gone for long periods of time. We had a lightning lane with Mickey at Magic Kingdom that we almost missed because dinner took so long. This honestly makes us somewhat reluctant to dine here again since we have a toddler. If we were to come back, it likely would not be under any kids are older. Conclusion: 'Ohana's should be at least a 1 time event for all Disney guests. The food and atmosphere are fantastic. However there is definitely room for improvement, especially for service. This is something that 'Ohana's has struggled on and off with for many years. Sometimes it's really good and other times it's not. It's a mixed bag at best. However we will likely be back just not for several years.

Best food on WDW property

By Martin Robinson |

We actually have gone here for both breakfast and dinner, which I can say are amazing! Breakfast - Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto are who you’ll meet. They do a little musical performance. Breakfast is all you can eat, lovely food and the juice is really interesting Dinner - My favourite of the two, the food you get is so unreal and it’s all you can eat as well. The noodles are worth the hype, however all the other dishes are solid too! Didn’t like the dessert though Overall, probably one of the best food in WDW as in it actually tastes nice and you’re not paying for mediocre food just to have an experience.

Decline in Quality at ‘Ohana: A Disappointing Anniversary Dinner

By Deb |

‘Ohana has always been a favorite, but our recent visit for our wedding anniversary was a disappointment. The meal felt rushed, and the food quality has declined. Portions were smaller, and when we asked for a refill, it took so long it felt intentional—likely to make us feel full faster. Service was impersonal, with our waiter eager to turn the table over rather than make the experience enjoyable. For the high price, the meal felt more like a bad Polynesian restaurant than the special dining experience we used to love. Sadly, ‘Ohana is off our list for now. We hope Disney can bring back the quality and service it once had.

Lovely but so expensive

By Laura D |

The food was beautiful! I can still taste that gorgeous pineapple coconut bread - I'd eat that every day if I could! There was fruit and bread, waffles with syrup and then a skillet of hot food including sausage, bacon and egg. There wasn't a great deal of choice although it was all you care to eat - the food was brought over to your table and you could ask for more if you wanted, but I must say when we did ask for more, we felt like the server was a little "put out" and before long ,the cheque was sitting on our table which felt like a little kick to leave. When paying about $200 for family of 4 breakfast we certainly didn't want to feel rushed! The characters visiting the table were great, the children absolutely loved it. There was Mickey, Goofy, Lilo and Stitch. It would be nice if the characters stayed a little longer with the kids, it was merely a photoshoot meeting each character once for about a photo and then they move on like a conveyabelt. The main reason I haven't given a 5* is because as lovely as the whole experience is, I honestly struggle to justify the cost for a family of 4 breakfast (2 kids under 9) at just over $200. It's so expensive!

Book dinner elsewhere!

By Joan W |

We had the feast! We were totally underwhelmed with the whole experience. The food was barely average and it was overly processed overpriced. The quantity of food was good but the quality was very poor. I would not recommend this restaurant and would suggest a significantly better all round experience at a fraction of the cost at The Olive Garden

Good but expensive

By Jeff456789 |

Haven't eaten here for years but was worried after reading some of the negative reviews but it was certainly better than I feared. Starters were good chicken wings huge. I also really enjoyed the chicken the steak was as others have said a little tough the shrimp are not for me but my wife enjoyed them. Dessert was delicious. Our server was good but the two person table we sat at was not well located on a thin piece of carpet the other side of the main walkway next to the kitchen. Also probably $10pp overpriced

Missing Disney Magic

By Cruiser16883166277 |

We did the Stitch breakfast. Barely saw the characters. Got one pic of each as they rushed through. Others at the table didn't get to get pics with them. Food was mediocre at best and our server was coolly efficient. No friendliness or extra effort. Threw the birthday cake on our table with some plates. No happy birthday or anything. Definitely no Disney magic with the $300 price tag for 4 of us.

Everything tasty, lots of food, good to do once due to price tag

By Sightseer779040 |

We had heard great things about here, despite the high price tag, so we decided to try it for the first time. I looked right when our reservation window opened (60 days in advance) and chose the only option that was available which was 3:30pm. Reservations are usually hard to come by unless you are willing to dine late at night, but check often. To get to the Polynesian hotel, you can monorail from the Magic Kingdom, or TTC, or you can Uber/Lyft, or drive in since you have a reservation, they will let you in the gates. It is located on the second floor of the lobby area. You check in at the first desk at the top of the stairs/by the elevators. You have a 15 minute grace window from your reservation time. After checking in at the first stand, you wait for the text message to go to the next stand to be seated, which is at the entrance to the restaurant. The restaurant is pretty large with windows all the way around with great views of the lagoon and even the castle. There is also an open grill area where you can see them grilling some of the meats. You get a drink menu if you would like a cocktail, alcoholic drink, or other extra pay drinks. Included in the price of your meal you do get a soft drink. We tried the pineapple cider and the lapu lapu which came in a pineapple. We had a main server (Brandon) and an assistant server. They were both great about checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and if we needed refills on anything. The menu is pre set. We got salad (which is like a spring mix) with citrus vinaigrette, and coconut pineapple loaf of bread (both good). But we knew more was coming so we kept some room. Then we got a skillet with stir fry vegetables with noodles, potsticker/wonton/dumplings, and sticky wings. We also got some hot towels for when we were done with our sticky wings. All excellent and the noodles were my favorite, while the wings were my husbands favorite. There was still more! We got two small beef teriyaki medallions, which were great, we almost ordered a refill but we were so full. You also get a lot of shrimp (with the shells on so you have to peel), they were cooked well but not a lot of flavor. The server did recommend to dip the shrimp in the citrus vinaigrette salad dressing which was yummy. There was also some smoked chicken thigh (like pounded flat), it was tasty and tender and smokey, but you have to like chicken thigh. Then after that and you being super full, you get dessert! You get a huge slice of bread pudding with a huge amount of ice cream with a large amount of caramel syrup on top. This was so delicious and perfect. We ate almost all of it, so save some room for that! During the meal there was a Ukelele player and singer (Kaletti), who walked around and played live music and sang which made for great atmosphere. He even went around and interacted with the tables welcoming us and asking if we were celebrating anything. Overall 3:30pm was actually a great time for “Linner” because we came in hungry and were full for the rest of the evening. Please come in hungry. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and all of the food was delicious. We left overstuffed. You are paying a higher price tag, but you do get so much food and it is all you care to enjoy if you choose to order more. Note there are no to go boxes because of this.

Cheap Food with an Expensive Price

By Allison S |

I’m an AP holder and have visited Disney many times throughout the years. I’ve always had low expectations for on-site restaurants knowing they are serving food in bulk, minus signature restaurants and such. I never made it to Ohana pre-pandemic, however was well aware of the declining reviews in recent years. Those reviews are 100% accurate. I went for breakfast this morning with my friend, who was chaperoning her daughter and several teenagers in the park the day before. I travel for work and this breakfast was essentially the same thing I get at the Hampton Inn for free. I did not try the pineapple bread but overall everyone liked it. We were a party of 6 and so much food went to waste. Biscuits went completely untouched, along with most of everything else except the eggs. I asked for an additional side of just eggs as there was not a lot in the skillets and wow the portion was huge. Most of that went to waste as only myself and another girl had some. I don’t understand the portioning out of food. Seems like each skillet is meant to feed about 2-3 people as we were given 2 of them. You could see the liquid gathered at the bottom of the eggs. Waffles were fine, along with the potatoes. I brushed the pineapple sauce off the ham as it was too sweet for me. Way too much sweetness for my taste in the morning. The kids loved the pog juice, but overall barely made a dent in the entire meal. Our server was very nice and even gave one of the girls a big cup of the pog juice to go as she loved it so much. I understand parents wanting to have pics of their kids with the characters, but there is no way I could justify paying for that meal. Meet them in the parks and save your money for something actually decent off-property.

No Conga Line?! Very disappointing!

By Getbusyliving |

So disappointing that the conga line/parade has not returned after covid. That was the highlight by far of this breakfast and it made it the best character meal in all of Disney. Now that this is gone this is just a $50pp breakfast. Disney needs to bring this back. Breakfast is very limited and comes to your table in a skillet. Food is good but we will wait until the conga line comes back before we return.

Shameful

By Theresa G |

IF YOU LIKE FROZEN HEATED FOOD FOR THE PRIZE OF A MERCEDES THEN GO FOR IT. This was a terrible mistake for our family to dine here. A RIP OFF. Disney should be ashamed of themselves calling this a Hawaiian experience…more like a cheap rip off experience. Frozen heated chicken wings with no flavor at all. Frozen heated dumpling. Steak NO FLAVOR. The only good thing they had was the pudding desert. What a shame. If you want to spend $400 for heated frozen food this is the right place. Gross.

Definitely recommend

By mellykayi |

First night in and had reservations. Love the decor. Server was very good. The noodles were seasoned so well. Bread great with honey butter. Chicken tasty. Shrimp was not peeled and needed dipping sauce. Highlight was the bread pudding with homemade caramel sauce. Wow! Pricey though and no doggy bags.

Character breakfast with Castle Views

By lauris87 |

We did brunch at ‘Ohana on our mid-trip rest day and overall had a great experience, though it’s probably a one-and-done for our family. The restaurant was very crowded—tables are packed in closely, so if you prefer a quieter or more private setting, this might not be for you. It didn’t bother us, but it’s something to note. That said, we had a lovely view of Cinderella Castle from our table, and the giant windows really do offer some stunning scenery. I would’ve been disappointed to be seated farther back where it’s darker with no view. The character interactions were a highlight. Mickey, Lilo, Stitch, and Pluto all came by promptly, spent a nice amount of time at our table, and we got some great photos without feeling rushed. The food was good, but not amazing—pretty standard breakfast fare, served family-style. The standouts were the Hawaiian bread and the delicious POG juice. While nothing on the menu really justifies the steep price, you’re definitely paying more for the overall Disney character experience and the location. Glad we tried it, but we likely won’t return for breakfast. I would like to try dinner there on our next trip.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!

By Karen W |

After recovering from breast cancer, My husband and I decided to start our bucket list. Because we always had such a good time at Disney, it was at the top of our list to revisit. When we went to Disney World over 15 times, each time we had to eat at O'Hana's at least once. It was always a very special place for us. It used to have wonderful food and excellent atmosphere. I was very disappointed with both the food and the atmosphere. They just treated you like a number - hurry in and hurry out. We didn't even see our server much. The food was not the same quality as before. The shrimp was bland, the chicken was charcoal brickettes, the beef was tough. It's pretty bad when the best thing you eat is the noodles. A person in charge came around and was asking how everything was. I expressed my feelings. I should have just saved my breath. I was so upset. It was probably one of the only reasons I wanted to go to Disney again.

Never again...

By Nicole A |

For lack of sounding redundant to what other reviews are saying, I will say that I have a sense of buyer's remorse after earing here. I need to admit that I didn't do my homework, rather I based our choice to eat here on our past two dining experiences at O'hana. My aunt made reservations at Kona Cafe thinking it was a fancy place. When I walked her up to the restaurant (we were staying on property in the bungalows) she hated the look of Kona. I told her she must have been thi king of O'hana. So, we cancelled Kona and made reservations for O'hana. The day of the reservation I suggested she cancel because it was just too expensive at $65 pp. We were a party of 6 and she was treating everyone. Well, from the moment we sat down I knew this was a mistake. Restaurant is too dark, ukulele player is personable but throughout the whole dinner he's talking to people at each table...on his mic. I could have done without that, as we had to speak loudly to converse with each other. Furniture seemed old and clunky. Food was what everyone else has already said: small salad, noodles, pot stickers, wings (nasty...who wants to chew meat off bones at a high end restaurant...surely boneless would have been better, but wings are as cheap as you can get), BBQ chicken, steak (delicious), and peel and eat shrimp (too much work), then bread pudding cake and ice cream for dessert (also, delicious). I barely ate anything beside the noodles and pot stickers. Wasn't going to eat chicken off the bone, didn't want to peel my own shrimp, don't like BBQ chicken. I hated that wr couldn't take our food home. It wasn't like wr stocked up on new plates just to have an abundance of leftovers. We never refilled anything so whatever they gave us initially is what we wanted to take home. When I made a stink about the waste, the waiter said all the food gets composted. I think what I disliked most was that all food is new served in skillets. On our last two visits they would bring the meat out on skewers and place the pieces right onto your plate. It was such a better experience. This place was totally not worth $65 per person. There are way better restaurants on property and many many more off property. I won't return to O'hana and couldn't recommend it to anyone.

Big time price gouging, food not worth the price, we’re no longer Obama fans

By Passenger694198 |

My wife, our twin 5 year old boys, our 1 year old and myself come here every year to enjoy the food and experience at Ohana. The last 2 times have been disappointing. The food quality I feel has gone down hill, the last 2 times we felt rushed to hurry up and eat and leave and the steak isn’t all that great. Medium well and chewy at best. It’s 60 bucks or so per person and the service was also a 3.0 out of 5. Food- not that great Service- not that great Price- insanely expensive and not worth it. We won’t be coming back. Instead we’ll check out other food options off Disney property when we return to Orlando

A Pass Until They Improve!

By amandamD6811RZ |

My family and I have been going to Ohana for years and it is sad to see that the food has drastically changed once again, and not for the better. We ate there in February of 2024 and loved it, so we were excited to see a dinner reservation open in December, and jumped at the chance to go. Unfortunately, our experience this time around did not measure up and we were very disappointed with the food. The chicken was bland as was the shrimp . The noodles and vegetables were actually our favorite this visit. The dumplings, a past favorite of ours , were tough, cold, and came without any sauce to support the flavor. At most, this meal should have cost no more than $30 each and I cannot recommend the restaurant or justify paying the outrageous price for such a mediocre meal. I am hopeful that just as they have done in the past, they will adjust the quality of the menu/taste and temperature of the food or change chefs based on the recently posted negative reviews, which seem to outweigh the positives, and return Ohana to a must do when visiting the Disney World Resort. This change in the food could also explain why we were able to secure a reservation in December We have no plans to return for a while but are hopeful the powers that be read this and act so we can once again enjoy our favorite Disney restaurant.

Solid Food.... Bring Your Wallet!

By RobTangeman |

We came to Ohana with family. We thought the food was pretty good (think meat parade) but we felt rushed (in contrasts to some other reviews) throughout the meal. Like they wanted us in and out so they could get another group sat. The value can only be labeled as poor given a meal is $62 per person. To be fair, it is all you can eat and includes tasty bread pudding dessert but a $400 bill for 4 people may be the most we've ever paid for our family.

A no thank you experience

By Cindy M |

The food was slop. The management was slop and you don't even get offered water. The characters were friendly and on point.

Overhyped. Extra star for the dessert.

By Hannah C |

We visited ‘ohana during our honeymoon trip at WDW. We managed to snag a reservation (we called Disney as all was booked online and they were able to book it for us) as we had heard good things online. Needless to say it is extremely over hyped. We had a great table and the staff that sat us were really friendly, I popped to the toilet and the waitress has already explained the menu to my husband while I was away from the table, first red flag. I would have liked to have been there to know the deal. The food came very fast, salad and bread was lovely. The rest of the food came out very fast and loads off it. It tasted nice however all the food was cold. They serve in skillets which you’d expect to be hot to keep the vast amount of food warm. However these were just for show. I mentioned to waitress but she didn’t want to hear and just asked what I wanted more of. We saw her speaking and treating other guests friendly however with us she was just plain rude. The desert came (which is the only reason for 2 stars - it was fantastic) along with the bill and we were in and out within the hour. For the price you pay for the meal, we were expecting it to be a relaxing, romantic and amazing Experience however the food was okay and service quick and rude. We ended up complaining and they took half off our meal but we would have preferred to have the meal we had imagined and looked forward too. Don’t believe the hype or everything you see on tiktok. Either save your money or go and visit hoopdedoo musical review. Similar vibe with family style food but you get a show and the food and service is 100x better.

Disappointing

By C3650SCjimd |

We have not been here in 7 years. I suspect Covid changed things for this restaurant. It was always our favorite and went out of our way to book it 6 months out so we didn't miss it. This time around things were different. Same great menu, but no more people coming with the hot skewers serving you. They just dump food in bowls. Half of the meat was cold. The meats all came before the noodles, chicken wings, and dumplings. They only give you butter knives so it was difficult to cut the meat. The waiter was awesome. The atmosphere was not what we remember it. It used to be lively with kid parades and not an empty seat. This time there were entire sections closed. The food was still terrific tasting, but I think Disney needs to look at this restaurant closer. It is such a staple, but we were disappointed.

Breakfast Birthday Celebration

By Sblouviere |

This used to be our must do for Disney dining. I have to say that since 2017, it just hasn’t been the best. We used to love the dinner, but then service seemed to go down and then the food quality seemed to follow. It started to feel like you were on a production line and they had to speed you through. But we decided to give breakfast another try as it was my daughter’s 16th birthday wish to have breakfast with Stitch. Our server was friendly and very observant of my son’s allergy. I greatly appreciated that. But the warm food items came out cool. The Mickey waffles had a very weird texture this time around. The staff were very good on the customer services this go around, but the food was just off. For the price point and to gain back its “must do” status, O’hana really needs to improve.

Ohana Magic: Delicious Breakfast & Unforgettable Character Interactions 🌺✨

By Traveling By Teresa |

We visited ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort for a late breakfast with our family of five, and it was fantastic. The food was superb and served family-style, making it perfect for sharing. We loved the pineapple bread, eggs, sausage, bacon, and flavorful potatoes, and the fresh Mickey and Stitch waffles were a huge hit. This is a character meal featuring Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto, and the interactions were excellent. Characters spent quality time at our table, and we were able to see each of them twice without feeling rushed. A fun, delicious, and memorable experience. 🌺✨

Such a fun and unique character breakfast!

By Emma B |

Okay, is it pricey? Yes, it's a character breakfast! But as character breakfasts go, this one was fab. This breakfast buffet is all you care to eat, served family style, which I much prefer to self selection style. Fruit and pineapple bread came first while we waited for our drinks which I liked as it made it feel like a starter. Both were fresh and immediately topped up without us even asking! The main breakfast has the usual staples like waffles and scrambled egg, but also has some unique hawaiian elements like pineapple salsa! Again, everything lovely and fresh, and we were brought another skillet, even though we were too full to touch it 😅 Luckily our lovely server brought us to go boxes for anything we didn't eat! For the food you get, and the amount, definitely can't complain. The atmosphere is also lovely, with a view of the magic kingdom, and characters almost constantly walking around, it really did feel magical! I would highly recommend this one if you're thinking of doing just one character dining experience.

Ohana

By GoVols79 |

This was our first time staying at the Polynesian so we wanted to experience everything we could. We had made a dinner reservation as soon as they opened 60 days earlier only to find out a few hours before that the restaurant would be closed. Obviously something pretty major happened as it was closed the rest of the day. Not only did they miss the potential revenue but we actually were given a full credit for what our meal would have cost which I thought was very generous. I thought this meant we would miss Ohana but after checking over and over I was able to secure a 3:30 pm reservation on our last day. It isn’t the time I would have picked but it actually worked out just fine. As other reviews state it is a lot of food. We had 2 adults and 2 teenagers and didn’t finish any of the courses. Since you are paying so much you feel inclined to eat more; especially knowing you can’t take it with you. Our service was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Due to the cost ($300+) I would probably not return but we had a nice dinner and are very grateful we got to experience Ohana.

Felt they just wanted the money !

By Sally C |

So first of all our server was lovely , but when we checked in , we told the lady at the desk that one of the children was tired and wouldnt eat much . We were told just to tell our server . We asked our server if we could just have macaroni cheese and fries for the children and he said that it was no problem We were shocked when we got the bill and was charged full price for the children , which was over 40 dollars each with tax !" We questioned it with our server and a senior man came over and just kept repeating the kids had to pay full amount ! He wouldnt even engage into a conversation. My daughter became extremely upset The main manager came over and we explained we only wanted pasta and chips and that it wasnt explained that this would still cost the full price ! If a child eats one mouthful of anything its full price !' After a lot of going back and forth , she did agree to remove the cost of 1 child , but then came back and asked us where the tip was ! ( we had given a tip to our server ) There was no Disney magic or care. It was just a horrible situation. The food was delicious and plentyful , but family style. Although there seemed to be a choice of 2 set meals on the menu , we werent given a choice . The food just started to come The place is very noisy and packed and there was an annoying tune being played on a ukele by a man reading out birthdays. Same riff over and over

We were ignored - did not feel like “family”

By Miranda B |

Your meal begins with your host seating you and letting you know that you are “family.” (Ohana means family in Hawaiian) We were a group of 3 adults, sat at a table set for 2. The table was at the edge of the restaurant by a window that looked into a sidewalk and canal. A pleasant view, but certainly not the best the restaurant has to offer, and we felt cramped into the spot next to a large round table of 8. Though we were the first group Sat for the seating, we did not get water, butter or fruit, while every other table had, until We asked for it, and then we had to ask multiple times. We were not offered any other drinks, though we saw many other tables with mimosas, cokes, etc.We were ignored by our server and the Disney characters - apart from LILO, (who was awesome). I understand the characters are for the kids, but we essentially paid $50 for eggs, coffee, juice and ham. We did not receive great service, and we had to beg for visits from the characters after almost everyone else had left. Also, there was no TP in the ladies’ room. When one server offered us a skittle with some bacon, our server told him to take it away, and that we were “fine” even though we had not previously received any bacon and were not even aware we could ask for (or order and pay extra) it. I left so disappointed. My little brother is a “Disney kid” and loves all things Disney - even he couldn’t defend our treatment. He was so sad - eating at Ohana was a bucket-list item for him. We will not return, and will advise family against spending the huge amount required to dine there - not worth it.

Not good anymore

By Jason K |

I’ve been here many times and it had been good in the pass but the pass two times it was wasn’t good and for the price you pay it’s not worth it food tasted bad

Enjoyable but the old way was better.

By Jenna S |

My family and I have been going to Ohana for years as its always been a favorite of ours, but ever since covid it just isn’t justifiable. We decided to eat here (22 May, 2023) to see if anything had changed and for the most part it was very similar to previous visits, except they used to serve the meat (shrimp, steak, chicken) on skewers and now they serve you family style. Our food was good. I really enjoyed the chimichurri chicken, shrimp, noodles, and bread pudding. They were all cooked perfectly. All of the other meat (steak & wings) were overcooked for me, and everything else was just average. For reference I like my steak rare-med. rare, so if you like yours well done then it was pretty good flavor wise, just a little too cooked for me personally. My biggest complaint about this restaurant is the absurd amount of food waste. We had a party of four and when they brought out the food portions we were overwhelmed and we felt really wasteful afterwards. We asked about why they changed their system out of curiosity and they told us it was because of covid, but the amount of food going to waste is actually disturbing. Over all, most of our food was good, maybe not $45-50 a person good, but we had a decent experience. Its a great spot to watch fireworks if you time your reservation right and are lucky enough to get a good table near the window. The service was also amazing, the staff does a great job making the atmosphere enjoyable.

An experience of food!

By Salvador R |

Of course I did the All You Care to Enjoy experience. ‘Ohana bread, 2 mixed green salads, a skillet of teriyaki beef, grilled chicken, shrimp, 2 skillets that contain wings, potstickers, and their famous noodles. And finally pineapple bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream and a side decorated rice crispy treats. Everything was good except the beef. It was a bit tough to chew, not tender enough. It was 3 adults and 2 children. Then came the check. $400 and change! Yikes! Of course we all had to split it. It was great and a once in a lifetime experience. Even sipping on a refreshing cocktail in the lobby at night would of been great too!

Best breakfast in Disney

By Jack B |

Awesome breakfast with Mickey, Lilo and stitch. Superb menu with fresh fruit, pineapple bread ham, sausage, eggs, mickey and stitch waffles, and potatoes. Absolutely wonderful with a great view of the lagoon and Magic Kingdom. Will definitely book again

Overpriced, cold food and over hyped.

By MrReview |

We booked this in advance as it the “go to place” but it’s not, expensive and overrated. We had a family dinner and the food was good and plentiful but after dessert getting the bill and service was impossible, I ended up walking to find a staff member to get the bill so we could leave. The breakfast though was overpriced, over hyped and a waste of time and money, family of three with 1 child aged 10 is classified as an adult so you pay full price for a little one to eat some fruit, part of a waffle and drink some juice. The Mickey shaped waffles were all dry and cold and almost felt like they were made off site and just heated to room temp. My plate had sausage, sloppy scrambled eggs with a milky taste and pan fried SPAM, for what we paid we got Spam of all things and not a piece of bacon in sight. To the Mouse in charge don’t serve spam for what you charge people. Spending $162 of some very average food I would steer clear of this place as it’s just not worth the hype or damage to the hip pocket.

Amazing Food and Great Service!

By Camila N |

The restaurant offered an all you can eat fixed menu! The food was really good and the waiter helping us was really great. The character meet and greet with Lilo and Stitch only happens at breakfast, buy I definitely recommend to go there for dinner since it is a whole different experience. There was live music throughout the night and the setting was really nice.

Beg for service and then tip big.

By Garry w |

It was really busy we had a table of seven. The characters came to one side of the table had pictures and left. We tried to get plouto to come to our table and got elbowed away by the character. At the end we had to ask for the characters to come back for pictures and the staff were not happy as they wanted the table. Food was good but we had to ask for everything and then were charged €175 tip. Outrageous it wouldn't happen in England for such bad service.

So yummy!!!!

By Saiilazo |

Simply delicious. The drinks, the food, the desserts, and the service, everything was perfect. Great experience!!!!

Don't waist your hard earned money on a subpar experience

By Melissa S |

Very disappointed! This place used to be a family favorite .Never Again! We started with mixed greens that were fine how can you mess up a bowl of lettuce? Then can a bowl of stuck together cold noodles that had the taste of glue .pot stickers ,I could have just at those ,they were the only hot and tasty thing we ate Next up drowning chicken wings ,the sauce was was too sweet and too much Then a bowl of what I think was chicken thighs ,again drowning in a sauce and way over cooked ,it is hard to overcook a chicken thigh and dry it out like shoe leather ,but they managed to do it . Next up a plate of, 3 chuncks for the whole table, of practically raw beef also in the mysterious sauce .It was not good ,hard to cut and stringy . For the finally wand a gluten cube they are calling bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream and a runny caramel sauce To say this was a terrible dinner is an understatement! I know things change but if it ain't broke don't fix it should be the motto A few years back before the dreaded VID this place was one of the best! Live cookers on the grill ,people coming around with fresh off the grill meats !,wings ,noodles and a salad dressing that I am thankful I have the recipes for so I can make them at home.A bread pudding that could land you a husband that had a flaming rum sauce you wanted to like off the plate it was hot and the ice cream would melt into it.I also have that long lost recipe They also used to get the kids up for some fun activities teach them a luau and give them a lei . My advice save your money find to old recipes and have a luau at your house ! You can thank me later

Heartbreaking experience

By jojo_damien |

I took my daughter to Ohana breakfast for her 8th birthday. She was super excited to meet stitch. Stitch unfortunately was very rude. Stitch made my daughter feel very uncomfortable. He stomped his feet, said no once we asked if he would join us as we sang happy birthday to her. I then asked one of hostess if we could get Mickey, since we saw other tables sing happy birthday as other character joined. The hostess then said yes and grabbed stitch which we were very grateful for. Stitch stomped again and rudely grabbed hostess by the arm and pulled her, left us standing there once again! leaving us mainly my 8 year old feeling uncomfortable and awkward.Later approached by Kaleb (manager) he rudely said no stitch wasn’t coming out. We paid 300 dollars for an unpleasant experience.

Amazing Breakfast Skillets and Cool Castle View

By Mike from Rival Town |

My family, fiance and I went here for breakfast to celebrate our engagement and as tricky as this is to reserve, it did not disappoint in my opinion. I’m picky about my eggs but I loved how they did their scrambled eggs. We loved everything on the skillets and my fiancé who’s vegetarian had lots of amazing options she loved. Got an amazing few of the castle and the Polynesian water park, and the staff was amazing to us. Our favourite place now to grab breakfast at Disney World.

A Disney staple for our family no more. Bad food and a 600 dollar bill.

By Elaine E |

This was a must do for our family for 20 years. This year was different. The food was sub par. The meat was brought to table on skillets . They brought about 2 pounds of beef chunks that were tough. Chicken and wings were brought first with noodles and bagged lettuce. We did not buy any alcohol and bill for 6 adults and 2 children who didn’t eat anything but macaroni and cheese was over 600 dollars. Sorry Disney. I am a dvc member and I will drive or Uber off of property for all our meals.

Excellent food, slightly off experience

By Adam T |

First of all, we had a wonderful meal - the food was great, and our server Brandon was lovely. The meal consisted of bread and honey butter, honey chicken wings, pork dumplings, noodles, broccoli, teriyaki beef, guava chicken, shrimp (which was thankfully easy to peel), finished by bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. I also had a lapu lapu pineapple rum cocktail. There were a few things that stopped it being excellent all round though. When we first arrived, we checked in but then waited for half an hour, before eventually finding out on asking again to be seated that they’d forgotten to call us. The musician didn’t play music for the whole meal, only for the first 5 mins, then talked for over an hour and went away. This was a real shame as his music provided a great atmosphere at the start but it soon became very tedious for the rest of the meal.

Our favorite restaurant at Disney has been ruined

By WDW1111 |

This used to be our favorite restaurant in all of Disney. Every visit to Florida, I would make it a point to make sure we got a reservation here, trying first thing in the morning 180 days out. It was always a challenge but we always eventually made it here. I had read the negative reviews here before our most recent trip and didn’t want to believe them. But, unfortunately, they are all true. No lei for us when we walked in. The salad now comes in a tiny bowl at least half the size as before with a tiny amount of dressing. The appetizers are still decent and haven’t changed much (noodles, wings, dumplings, broccoli). But the most disappointing is the meat. I asked for some sauce (they used to give 3 tasty types before). I was told there is no sauce I could be given. The steak was ok, and came out with some sauce on it which made it edible. The chicken-burnt and I couldn’t even tell what is was but it was dark meat. And the worst- the shrimp used to be my favorite and now I couldn’t even eat it. Tiny, fishy tasting, gross steamed and not grilled shrimp. They used to be wonderfully grilled with a nice flavoring and large and easy to peel. I had one and that was enough. The dessert is still the best. No races or fun games for kids so I got to hear them screaming around me. $180 before tip for 3 of us to eat when we hardly ate anything because it’s changed so much. The busboy asked how everything was and I told him how disappointed we were. He said himself, that it’s the steak that ruins it for him. So Even their own employees admit how bad it is now, but no one came to talk with us. Our favorite place will no longer be on our dining list. I wanted to see for myself before trusting the reviews, and they are spot on with how bad it is now,

Polynesian Hawaiian Christmas theme setting

By Duffle Bag Traveler |

Disney’s Ohana restaurant is in the Walt Disney Resort , Polynesian Village Resort in Orlando, FL requires some advance planning. We had to make reservations 60 days in advance for the December reservation. Upon arrival at resort, we went to the front desk and got our leis then took Christmas photos in the decorated lobby areas on both floors that had Christmas trees and poinsettias. The tree decorations were spectacular with surfboards, coconuts, pineapples, turtles, sea horses, corals, and orchids and twinkling lights. Here we were sensory overloaded before we even sat down for dinner, but this was the point of going at Christmas time. We were seated at a window table that allowed us to watch the electrical water pageant in the lagoon followed by the Magic Kingdom holiday fireworks that started at 10 pm. All while in the restaurant there was a Hawaiian guy walking around playing the ukulele! Now, for the two prix fixe dinner menus: the regular menu and the allergy-friendly. Both were $65 per adult and children under 3 are free and under age 10 it’s about half price. We intentionally made a later reservation, but the restaurant was full of children of all ages even at 10 pm! Added to the sensory overload—were all the crying tired kids running around and touching the windows. For $65 per adult for dining it’s poorly managed and overpriced dining experience. If the restaurant charged the same amount for each person or structure night dining better, it would probably deter all the tired crying babies and toddlers from dining after 9 pm. and ruining the experience for couples or adults without children. O’Hana is a family-style dining experience, where servers start with pineapple-flavored bread and salad, then bring the chicken wings, and squishy overcooked noodles, then smoked grilled chicken, mushy imported shrimp, delicious teriyaki beef and then lastly a superb dessert pineapple-flavored bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and hot caramel sauce. Wish they started with the teriyaki beef instead of ending with it. Someone in our party requested the alternative menu for gluten-free options, the dinner bread and bread pudding was a disappointment it was gluten-free, but tasteless. It seems the Disney alternative menu here groups gluten-free with allergy free and the sugar-free options. It was surprising and unacceptable for a restaurant under Disney umbrella and it compromised on taste and demonstrated a lack of effort in accommodating all dietary restrictions properly. Gluten-free is not sugar-free. All things considered, Disney Ohana restaurant was memorable holiday, dining experience and servers exceptional.

Not a good experience all around

By Julie R |

This was our go to restaurant every year. We loved the atmosphere and food. Sadly, this popular restaurant has made a drastic decline. They want you in and out quickly, which explains why they basically throw all the food on the table at once. They have an agenda and want you out quickly. If you are familiar with the Ohana’s from the past, you will be very disappointed. The quality of meats does not justify the cost per person! The taste…awful! The quality of chicken, steak, and shrimp…awful as well! We are not dining there just to eat noddles and pot stickers for the price they are charging! They need to go back to the old way. With the wait staff serving the meat from the skewers. Smaller pieces - better tasting and better quality. Much less of a waste of food too.

Come hungry!

Delicious food and more than anyone could possibly eat. We were seated by the window and could see Magic Kingdom in the distance. Service was excellent. Did not feel rushed.

Disappointing Experience at ‘Ohana Compared to Chef Mickey’s

By Foreal Vacation Homes |

Last week, I had an amazing time at Chef Mickey’s—great food, a wide variety of options, and the character show was fantastic. Because of that, I had high expectations for ‘Ohana at the Polynesian Resort, but unfortunately, it was a big letdown. We were seated at a dirty table, which was already a bad start. The food variety was small, the taste was very basic, and overall the quality did not match the high price. For the amount of money you’re paying, you expect a much better experience. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend ‘Ohana to anyone. Save your money and choose another Disney dining option that actually delivers on the experience and food quality.

Perfect

By Karolina L |

My whole family absolutely loved this place. I initially was going to choose a different restaurant to eat at, but so many people have said that this is their go-to when going on their disney vacation. If you're big into meat (which is the case with my husband), then this is the place for you. I enjoyed many of the dishes (not all), but I loved the decore and the overall ambiance. My husband, on the other hand, fell in love. We will be coming back.

Nope to Ohana Breakfast

By Quad Squad Travels |

We finally made it to breakfast and were excited to meet the characters! That part was extremely fun, as who doesn’t love Stitch? The food was not extraordinary at all. The bread that was brought out was dry, and had little flavor. The eggs were scrambled, but in a weird way; soft with hard scrambled eggs mixed in. The ham had really good flavor, but very tough. Potatoes were wedges, and exactly that’s all. Not thing special about the waffles, just the ordinary. We wanted the Kona French press, but the waitress said they were out. Which leads us to the server. She was not attentive and I’m sure was more than happy to drop food off, and send her tables on their merry way. Was not impressed. Overall, your money is best spent somewhere else.

Not what it used to be like most food on Disney property lately, prices go up qualities going down

By 4477RA |

I haven’t eaten here in a while and this past trip I was excited to try it again. It was probably one of my worst meals during my visit. I thought the noodles that everyone raves about this time taste like over. Processed Ramen noodles heavily seasoned with salt and way too sweet .Chicken wings were probably the best thing. Definitely will not do this one again definitely not worth the money in my opinion.

$400 dollars gone in 40 minutes..or less

By MJPAR72 |

We arrived for our dinner reservation and were shown to our table quickly. We knew it was a family style dinner ahead of time. Our waiter arrived with bread and salad (concurrently) asked if there were any allergies and took our drink orders. He also said the food would be served family style. Then a large platter of noodles, wontons and veggies arrived. A few minutes later chicken then rapidly steak and a bowl on I peeled shrimp. The noodles were good…..that’s about it. The steak was horribly tough and the chicken was burnt. We didn’t even touch the shrimp it was so unappetizing. We had no time to try and enjoy a course and felt we were being rushed. It was absolutely awful. Worse yet Disney will only allow kids meal pricing for 9 and under. Our 13 year old is the size of a 9 year old and eats like a bird. The food alone was about $235. With a few virgin pina colada’s, 1 cocktail and 1 soda, tax and tip the bill was close to $400. We are so disappointed in the complete lack of quality, ambience and ability to dine at a leisurely pace. We do not recommend this restaurant.

Light Terrible for Taking Pictures with Characters, Customer Service Issue

By Erin S |

The good: This restaurant has nice theming, and it may be the only place you can meet Lilo at Disney World. Our server Eduardo was very professional and friendly. The okay: The breakfast: standard scrambled eggs, biscuits, breakfast meats, Mickey waffles, some tasty Hawaiian bread with a glaze on it, some ripe-ish melon with a couple strawberries mixed in, and the ever-popular passionfruit/orange/guava juice. The bad: This is a character breakfast, but the lighting is really bad for taking pictures. In some areas of the restaurant, taking decent pictures is basically impossible. Still bad: Although the general theming is lovely, our table was next to an open alcove with a cart of dishes and other utility items. Our table was round, and I was facing this cart. There should be no bad views in a restaurant this expensive. Maybe they could put a nice curtain over it? Worse: We had to wait a really long time to see the last two characters. We had long since finished eating when they came round. We have done many character meals at Disney World, and, in our experience, this was unusual. Terrible: When we finally got to see Stitch, we got yelled at. No one told us that flash photography wasn't allowed, but a woman yelled at us for using a flash and said, "You're done!" We were probably with Stitch for about 60 seconds. My daughter did not get a picture with Stitch like she wanted. Stunned, I asked the woman what her name was because she had her hand over her name tag. She said it was Sherry. The interaction really ruined our experience at 'Ohana.

Terrible experience!!!

By Karen Z |

Other people in our group are here before. I never had. Had high expectations. They quickly faded with our server, and the food. Took forever to get drinks that were ordered from the bar. Food was brought out at a snails pace, and wasn't even hot. Never kept up with keeping refills on drinks, barely saw our server. Got better service from Scott than our server. Ask for more bread never received. Waited almost 30 minutes after we ate everything we could from noodles and chicken platter. When we received the plate of chicken thighs it was cold and very burnt. Trying to get our waiter was a lost cause. He never delivered anything that we asked for. Scott was the only one who servers our table. We were tired of waiting for our food to keep coming. We asked to stop the rest of the meal to be brought over. Asked if we could get some sort of refund, since wee were there over an hour and a half and never really got the big part of the meal. Spoke to the manager and he only took off one adult meal. Our dinner for 4 was $200 for bread, salad, noodles, wings, vegetables, dumplings and chicken thighs and the bread pudding!! For what we paid service and food was terrible. Rest if the party who was there before said that was the worst dining experience they had from there. Very disappointed.

Disappointing

By Scott F |

Home of $40 chicken strips, mediocre food and uninspired service. For a birthday meal we were looking forward to since we booked our trip, it was quite an expensive disappointment. If you enjoy being treated like cattle then this is the spot for you. On the plus side, the views of seven seas lagoon and the MK are nice. I’d suggest skipping it.

The Most Fun Breakfast Ever!

By mrleachie |

What can I say about this breakfast, other than WOW! No denying that it was pricey but was worth every penny. From the huge portions that just kept coming, to the character meet and greets. This was the highlight of our holiday for sure! Big shout out to our servers Phyllis and Ryan; you guys were the true stars of the show.

Not as great as it used to be!

By Tammy A |

Our family has been coming here for years. I must say this time was different. The breakfast food was ok. Never had any bacon. Had to ask for more juice too. The family style meal was brought out in a very small skillet. The staff were nice but we felt rushed. All of the characters didn’t even come over to our table. The amount of money that was charged we should have had a much better experience.

THE BEST

By Marybeth L |

THE. BEST. MEAL. at WDW. Such a yummy experience with a great atmosphere. Large tables and plenty of room between your table & other guests. Every bit of the food was delicious. Staff was very friendly. This is a must. Pace yourself…lots of courses.

Worst character breakfast in Disney!!

By Arleen H |

Cold coffee, mediocre food, server “Shelia” was incompetent , never checked if needing refills , bill flung on table before food finished & told no rush, then back 2 minutes later to see if settled which we said no as still eating. When we did settle bill she was nowhere to be seen, we hung around for 5 mins then gave to another server to give to her, on leaving a couple of our party went to the bathrooms so we waited in foyer only for “Shelia” to come out & ask us if we’d paid the bill! Honestly wish I’d given no tip now , $330 for 5 of us was not worth it , characters were good & took photos etc but having dined in Crystal Palace, Tusker House & 1900 Park Fayre for character dining (the latter 2 being our favourites) the food & experience is far superior & only $5 per head more. I did complain before I left but I doubt much will be done.

Awful food Great characters

By noirmont |

We went for breakfast. The food was dreadful. The characters were great. Why is it so difficult to get both those things right?

Awful!!

By Vilma M |

Ohana was always one of my favorite restaurants. We just went last night and the meal was well below average. I thought I was eating pasta with syrup and the wings were all bones and way overcooked. PLEASE do not waste your money. I would say McDonald’s is 5 star compared to this! When I mentioned to the server she just shrugged her shoulders and not seem to care. Save your money!!

Not what it used to be

By Ron G |

Have been numerous times over the years. This will be our last. Food quality was average at best. We found the steak tough and inedible. Felt like we paid an excessive amount just for some decent chicken breast, and the desert. The rest was not good.

Ohana Breakfast... High quality experience

By Zombie Bites D |

Excellent experience, my kids are Stitch mad so this was always a must for us. The resort that the restaurant is located in is beautiful (Polynesian). Checked in with no problem, staff incredible. So attentive and kind to our family. The food is great. It's eggs, Sausage, potatos and ham with pineapple compote (bacon available on request). Also Mickey and Stitch waffles and syrup with some great coconut bread that was delicious. The characters are great, we got lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey. My girls went crazy, had photos and autographs. Highly recommend this amazing restaurant for Character dining. Will be returning.

Done with 'Ohana!

By jo jo pro pro l |

So sad to say, but all the recent negative reviews here are spot on. 'Ohana was always a family favorite and a must do for us while in Disney, however, we won't be returning, even if staying at the Poly in the future. The food was horrendous. Stale bread and a little dish of salad for maybe two people, when we were a table of four. What was once my favorite part of the meal, was gross. The noodles were cold, sticky and drowning in this sweet ginger sauce. The wings were cold, slimy and in the same overly sweet ginger sauce. The pot stickers were probably the best thing on the table, as it's hard to mess up frozen apps. The pan had this weird chopped vegetable medley of broccoli, peppers and onions, almost like it was pureed, so nobody touched that. The steak was cold, fatty and inedible. The shrimp were mushy and didn't even snap when broken and the sweet n sour chicken thighs were just blah. Even their infamous bread pudding was cold and hard. The vanilla ice cream and caramel redeemed it a bit. Service was fine, but very cold and robotic. Just drop and go. No singing ukelele guy until the last ten minutes of the meal. Just tired, boring and not the same.Throughout the years, I would leave 'Ohana stuffed and really loving the place. This time, I hardly ate and couldn't wait to get back to the Magic Kingdom for a dole whip. Complete waste of $400.

Ohana’s is just Okay.

By DJ1955 |

We’d heard so much about O’hana that we were disappointed to find that it was all about getting the food on the table as fast as possible, and you out. When you pay these prices, you’d like a bit of a relaxed meal. The meal is average at best. Service was fine….fast for sure. The noodles I had heard about were below average. Huge let down.

Priced Right

By cdrodden |

50th birthday girls trip and we opted to go to Disney without the kids! The characters did a parade and then each one stopped at each and every table. Lots of opportunity for photos with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. Food was served "family style" which means they bring a big platter and everyone serves themselves from the main dish. Basic breakfast - eggs, sausage, ham with pineapple, home fries - and of course Mickey shaped waffles with a few waffles showing Stitch face. As far as character meals, this was priced significantly less than Chef Mickey and we felt it was a fun atmosphere with tasty food.

Not worth it

By Katie Sierra |

There is no entertainment anymore. The food is dumped on you very quickly and not hot/fresh. Food is served well before your drinks. It seems as though you are bothering the servers if you ask for anything and very rushed. Any child over three is $40 and you do not get an experience only food. Very disappointing not worth it.

Good food and great gluten free options

Great experience and good gluten free options. We had 840pm reservation which was perfect for watching fireworks. We requested to sit near the window so we could see fireworks. Gluten free food was very good. Rice, all the meat, gf bread and gf dessert. The vanilla ice cream was amazing. My only complaint was the steak was huge loin of beef and was very fatty. The chicken wings were my favorite.

A real treat

We had a great time here. My husband didn't realize it was family-style pre-set menu and he doesn't like family-style or pre-set dinners but as soon as the first plates were delivered, he got into it. Pretty atmosphere. Service at Disney resorts is usually outstanding but our server was average. The noodles, dumplings and chicken wings were superb and I don't usually care for chicken wings. The pineapple coconut cake with ice cream and drizzled with caramel was fantastic and I don't usually care for coconut.

Ohanna does not disappoint

By yankees2026 |

We we went at 5 o’clock on Friday, December 1 only waited about 10 minutes till the table was ready. Food came to the table right away. The salad was delicious and everything else was delicious as well. The only issue I had was the steak was a little raw, but I asked for some a medium and they brought more out to me fresh off the grill we go to Ohana every year every year it doesn’t disappoint still the best restaurant on Disney. It is expensive but it is worth it. If you can score reservation, I highly recommend that you go

Really disappointed

By Laura A |

We were really looking forward to this dining reservation and were so disappointed by the experience and unfortunately the majority of the disappointment was caused by the service we received, rather than the food or the atmosphere. I am plant based and my fiancé is not (which has not been a problem at any other Disney World family style restaurant). We made our server aware of this and asked if my fiancé could just have a smaller skillet, rather than the 4-person skillet they usually bring out to share. Our sever said something along the lines of ‘it wasn’t on your notes. It will be fine.’ which felt weird. Lo and behold, a huge skillet came out for my fiancé, which ultimately he couldn’t finish and resulted in a lot of food wastage, which is something we found really uncomfortable. There also wasn’t a plant based version for me at first, but we stopped another server who was really nice and didn’t make us feel like an inconvenience and he bought one out. My fiancé opted not to have his dessert because he couldn’t stomach it after the main meal and I think it would have been a nice touch for the server not to have charged us the full amount for his food in this case, as we did make it clear multiple times that we wanted a smaller skillet. In hindsight, I should have been more firm. Our server never explained anything about the meal, what was in the skillets or the fact that three more items would come out later on (why don’t they serve it all at once?! By the time the other items come, you’re too full). Looking back at the menu, I also didn’t receive half of my starter course. The whole experience just felt really uncomfortable and odd, which was a shame considering the food tasted good and everyone else we met (including the brilliant entertainer) were amazing. It was also on our notes that we were celebrating our engagement and our server didn’t mention it at all (not that we expect anything, it was just odd compared to every other dining experience we’ve had on property). I did provide some feedback on the way out, so hopefully it made it back and no one else will have this experience.

Overpriced and no choice

By BillM007 |

This was probably our worst experience and MOST expensive restaurant of our whole stay. Firstly, our grandson (10) had to pay the full adult price even though he ate very little. We were greeted by our server. She was overpowering and seemed very keen to get the service over and the next guests in. There was no bonhomie. The service was rushed, food arriving when the previous course was not finished. No time to rest between courses. When we sat down there was no menu, alarm bells should have sounded. The server told us what would be coming! There were NO choices. The first course was some salad (not enough for 6), chicken wings, noodles and dumplings? The second course was rare chunks of steak, no choice of cooking time. BBQ chicken and prawns. The final course was a bread pudding (very stodgy) with ice cream and caramel sauce. So no choice but to eat some poorly prepared food which mostly was unhealthy and high in calories and fat not to mention the excessive salt. This little lot worked out at around $100 per head plus drinks, tax and service charge. Yes it was expensive and at half the price it would have been expensive. We will not be back!

‘Ohana left overs… Yum!!!!

By CaatW |

Food, service, atmosphere were great! More food than you possibly eat, it’s all you can eat. Got leftovers? Bring ‘em home! The salad is fresh, crisp and flavourful. The Hawaiian bread is served with butter and honey. The ‘Ohana noodles though good weren’t award winning (but that could be because they’ve been so talked up that I had very high expectations). Abdel, Mike and Tyler were awesome! There’s a singer to entertain! It’s Hawaiian themed as the restaurant is in the Polynesian Lodge at Disney world. Parking is challenging at best non existent if you don’t have a confirmed reservation. Though, you can park at the TTC and make the 6 min walk over. It’s also a great place to watch fireworks from.

Don’t make a reservation!

By _kathysewsew |

What a mistake! Wish we had taken the warnings to heart… before we even had beverage service..food was slapped down on the table ..already cold. It never stopped being a mess…and truly we have never paid that price for so little quality. I gave up trying to eat some part of the mess on our table..it was 65.00 per person ..we needed to be gone in 45 minutes! Or so they hoped! Yes, we remember what it use to be…and as I stepped in..I had a bad feeling. I should have turned tail and ran! Nine days at the Polynesian and it was by far the worst meal we had. Epcots Mexico was unbelievably perfect! Some one from the hotel should read the comments..or they do and don’t care! Don’t bother to make a reservation at Ohana, do yourself a favor!

Poor service and rushed experience

By Lisa E |

The whole experience felt rushed. The service was terrible. Had to keep asking for water. Had to ask for a drink menu. Never was asked for a second drink. Food was ok. Not worth the price paid. Had to ask for our chicken since he never brought it. Was charged gratuity on our bill since there were 6 of us (one was a bay). Service was not at an 18% by any means. This will be the last time we visit OHana. Very disappointing since this was always our go to dinner when visiting.

A nice meal in famous resort

By Dave L |

Our family of three had dinner here on a Friday at 5:15p, with reservation. We had the traditional skillet meal. Food was good overall, including the bread pudding a-la-mode. Food starts arriving soon after you are seated. We had view of the Magic Kingdom castle in the distance which was a bonus. Price is high if you are not a big dinner eater, though I suppose what you are paying for is the overall experience and location. I consider this a special occasion type meal and we'd likely not return for several years. Allow 60-90 minutes.

Lilo and Stitch brunch

By Molly S |

My mum and I had a brunch here with the character dining. As a big Lilo and Stitch fan, I really enjoyed it. Our meal was booked for one of he last breakfast seatings so was worried the food quality would be poor and the characters not around. It was perfect, it was much quieter and had a lot more character time. Service was fantastic and I was given some free birthday cupcakes. Yes it’s pricey but as a one off character dining experience, I’m glad we went. We enjoyed the resort for a bit by sitting on the beach before getting the boat back to Magic Kingdom.
