Great food mix and ambience

We love this place. Our second time and both times we just ordered a mix of sushi with some of the Polynesian appetizers. Great coconut shrimp, tempura veggies, California rolls!

Reminds me of Hawaii

By planner_girl68 |

This is probably the closest place I can get to being in Hawaii in WA. I travel to Hawaii often for work so I do miss it when I'm back home in Seattle. Spam musubis are better in Hawaii but these will have to do until I can go back to Hawaii!

Home away from home!

By Bho H |

What a treat for us since we ate from Maui. Had great drinks at the bar when we first came to check it out. We came back later for dinner. Prices are very affordable and very plentiful! Our experience was top notch. Great food, great ambiance and friendly staff. The Hawaiian vibe made us feel right at home. What a gem right in Belltown! Mahalo nui loa!

Tasty and Fun

By Todd G |

True to the "aloha" spirit, the place is friendly and welcoming. The sushi is excellent and the drinks are great. Love the retro/tiki/hawaiian/kitchy/funky/hip decor.

Below average

By Calvin B |

Prices are very cheap but when u get order you see why. Very small portions. California roles were very chewy and was probably the worst tempura I've ever had. Found it weird they had onion in tempura. Would not go back if it was a free meal

Hawaiian / Japanese whacko

By dadhy |

Fun if your taste, laid back. Four of us sat in a quiet spot opposite the sushi prep. Happy Hour good value. Draft beer @ $4, hot sake @ $ 5, large bowl edamame @ $3, cheap bar drinks, snacks. One yakisoba @ $10.95, three Shogun bento 2 beef, 1 chicken [the smaller bento] @ $15.95. Yokisoba OK. I had 2 chicken bento: chicken katsura, chicken teriyaki, sauces tasting similar, heavy and sweet. Skimpy slaw, pickles, spinach. Ample rice and chicken. Out of balance I thought, and not like any I'd had before. No veggie nor tempura option. Wouldn't repeat the choice. Service friendly, enthusiastic, not especially professional. Happy Hour excellent value. Dinner nothing special. Would only duck in for a quick H H in future.

Genuine Hawaiian Done Right

By Charles |

Great spot for lunch, brunch or dinner. Genuine Hawaiian food done right! Reasonable cost and nice casual atmosphere. My Uber driver mentioned it while going past and decided to eat here a bit later that day for lunch. Poke appetizer was great, and Kalua Pork was the same. Fast friendly service.

Change is good, but not in this case

By Alvin V |

Well, management decided to change their menu and increase prices by several dollars on each of their menu items. No more lunch specials, either. This saddens me because their food is really good. But there is no way I'm paying $19 for a Bento Box, which is what I usually get for lunch. For a laid back Tiki Lounge establishment, Ohana is now officially unaffordable.

Aloha! Good food in a festive fun filled atmosphere!

By usertippy |

Though we are not sushi fans we decided to give this place a try because we got a living social voucher, and also because of excellent reviews. I am so glad we did! The thatched roofs and the festive atmosphere makes one feel as if one is right in Hawaii! Even my two year old was fascinated by the ceiling decor! For the appetizers we ordered fish tacos, which were crisp and tasty. For the main course I ordered the Yakisoba which was pretty flavorful. My hubby ordered the ginger chicken broccoli and that was excellent as well. The customer service is average. We had to wait 15 minutes before someone came to serve us so taking a star off for that. But other than that the overall experience has been positive and I will definitely consider giving this place another try.

Hawaiian-Themed

By redhead_roaming |

We came here because Umi was closed and were extremely hungry. The place is apparently known at nighttime for being a little less then savory but during the day it's a fairly nice place, though forced decorations. The food was pretty good! My boyfriend is lactose intolerant and we usually share food and when I ordered my burger with half cheese, they did it perfectly! Food was great with plenty of options and reasonably priced considering the area!

2nd time around

By 34candacem |

A few years ago my husband and I found Ohanas while visiting Seattle. A funky sushi style restaurant with reasonable prices and fun atmosphere. We liked it so much we went the next day for happy hour. Recently in Seattle again and Ohanas was on my list, unfortunately not as good as I remembered. Service was good, quick and the server was very nice however good quality nothing like the last time. We were a bit bummed out. Next time we visit I doubt we will be making a special trip to Ohanas.

Great Happy Hour

By Heather T |

They have a great happy hour with many options for sushi and sashimi. They also have a good sake and beer collection. Very good!

Not much Hawaiian-style...

By pupo888 |

Not much Hawaiian-style local food here which is unfortunate. Prices are somewhat high. The food is pretty good though.

Cheerily tacky with great food

By Alice T |

We went here because it was round the corner from our hotel and we wanted something fun and down to earth for our last night in Seattle. Ohana is definitely that - hilariously Hawaiian themed with brightly coloured cocktails and relaxed vibe. Don't let that fool you though - the food was actually really good. We had loads of sushi and the poke roll was brilliant with a real kick. Recommend.

Delicious!

By Kelly C |

Our friends recommended trying this place during our stopover in Seattle. I have never been to Hawaii nor had Hawaiian Japanese food, so this was a treat! The blackened ahi salad and salmon and tuna poke were especially yummy. Yes, we did sample some spam musubi! Consensus? Delicious. I wouldn't say the food was mind-blowing, but it was indeed delicious and at these prices, who's complaining? I would definitely stop by again!

Aloha in the city

By dan0pdx |

Dinner here on a winter break trip up from Portland with teens. Staff was friendly and food was great. Nice escape on a cold night in the quirky island decorated interior made us feel warm when we arrived. Awesome happy hour menu that goes from 4 until late. Sushi was goooood. Sliders were super. Island drinks... Yes! Come here for sure and find some Aloha in the dead of winter.

a small room with lots of fun

By VAstrouskaya |

Ohana is a happening spot for Seattle nightlife. It may not seem like much from the outside, but this place gets packed on a busy weekend night. Great music, great food choices, quality happy hour!

Fast service, Nice atmosphere

By Gustasra |

We stopped in Ohana's for drinks and nibbles while waiting for our reservations across the street. We were seated immediately, which is nice on a busy Saturday night. Their wine selection is limited, but good. The guys tried some pale ales, which were good. And, my girlfriend ordered one of those fruity drinks that was huge, and strong :) We ordered lumpia and coconut prawns, and both were tasty. The service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Would like to return in the future to try some of their sushi!

Quite possibly the most...

By JasonTheFoodie |

Quite possibly the most foul tasting spicy salmon hand roll I've ever had in my entire life. Go here for the karaoke, NOT for the food.

Addictive Robata Grill sauce

By NihoNui |

I put the little cup under the table to get every last drop: coconut/lime/ginger +++ When the staff feels like giving aloha it's almost as good as a short trip to Hawai'i. Go when there is music for da kine feelin'.

Server was kind to make me a fresh pot of coffee

By DJ Chelan H |

While parked out front waiting for.my friend for 2 hours, I asked when they opened if they had coffee for sale and the nice server said it would be on in a minute. Thank you guys for my coffee and letting me watch you create your amazing sushi plates. Love your Hawaiian theme.

Hawaiian- Polynesian fusion

By Carla A |

The set up makes you feel like you are in the islands. Cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The server was very attentive. The tempura veggies and curry pork with rice were good, as well as the miso soup. Ohana!

'Ohana means yum!

By ZeusSNC |

We were looking for something different for dinner and decided to give this a try. It's an interesting menu but the food was awesome and the drinks were delicious. My only complaint was that it was about 92 degrees outside and this place has no air so it was literally a hotbox. But you should give this a try.

dinner

By Karen B |

this place was recommended by a local for cheap eats and good sushi. It was not cheap, but California roll was good, other person had fish and chips. fish and chips are very good. Service was good for busy night.

Good Hawaiian Food and Good prices

By andypandaNashville |

We had the Tempura Shrimp and Vegetables Hot wings and the Bento boxes we had so food left over that I had for Breakfast. The food was good snd reasonable prices, so worth going to.

Sushi or Poke Bowl?

By N R |

We were craving a poke bowl and this was the closest option... for our surprise we like more the sushi than the poke bowl! Now they had all Hawaiian beers available and that was a plus!

Sushi Galore

By KJ7713 |

This tiki bar is great. Love the Hawaiian theme. Had the half baked, crunchy dynamite, and firecracker rolls. Very different to what I have previously had. Two rolls were warm. Each roll was delicious! Great service. Very attentive. The Hawaiian drinks were both good. Suggest you make a reservation. We had a table waiting and it was great.

Great service and great food

By garrison p |

After wandering around Pike Market, Ohana is a short distance walk for some great Hawaiian food and Kona beer (can or draft). Variety of foods include sushi and soups and meats. Their happy hour menu is good too. Our server was very helpful; she knew the beer selection and which menu items to recommend for us too!

fun, delicious and fast service

By n m |

Ohana was a great experiance. The atmosphere is funky. It was like walking into an island paradise. The service was fast and the sushi rolls we order were great. I had a mango madness cocktail. It was fruity and well mixed. I will be going here again.

Very good sushi!

By Gabriel Geronazzo |

I went yesterday to this restaurant with 5 friends to eat sushi, because we had a groupon of 25$ of credit/each (we paid 10$). The restaurant is ok, there is a live dj and also a bar area. The prices are a bit high but the quality is good: we ordered three different types of urmaki (like california, belltown, spicy tuna..) and they were really good! The only one that I didn't like was the "salmon skin" because it was strange. I recommend to go to this place and if you buy the coupon be sure to be only 2 per table!

Quick, warm and cozy

By Pippiduck |

On a raw December lunch break in between meetings, we popped in to Ohana to warm up and find some nourishment. We were pleasantly surprised to have found good food and attentive service. The waitress went out of her way to accommodate our small dietary requests. Our dishes came piping hot and were well prepared. It is a convenient spot if you find yourself in Belltown.

So Much Fun

By SocialStan |

Great Japanese Restaurant with a Hawaiian/ Tikki Lounge feel. Good party atmosphere with an awesome karaoke night on Sundays.

Dinner

By peter o |

Ohana means family in Japanese, and this place is very cool. Its really an Hawaii/Japanese, young, hip and very warm hangout. The sushi is unique and creative and awesome. Lots of ex-pat Hawaiian young people. Good reggae on Weekends. A glimpse of real Seattle near the Market, not to be missed.

Excellent island food in the heart of the city

By Angela R |

I had some of the best teriyaki chicken ever, tender and juicy with a sauce that was not too salty and notvvtoo sweet. Served with rice and steamed broccoli. My husband had the katsu chicken and said it was better than what he had in Maui. Lightly Panko crusted and juicy served with white rice and coleslaw. Warning the coleslaw is spicy. Kitschy decor with bamboo and Hawaiian theme.

Fun Japanese/Hawaiian place

By CaTraveler7777 |

Very nice staff, good happy hour and good reasonably priced sushi. Funky Hawaiian decorations and a loud, fun bar.

Varied menu, Funky Little Hawaiian Sushi joint.

By Olga L |

Went to Ohana for a quick lunch that literally turned out to be only 20 minutes. Their lunch menu is really varied and the waiter that took care of me was SO nice and helpful. They have an unusual combination of Japanese, Korean and Hawaiian food that I've really never seen before. The place is clean and colorful. I promise I'll be coming back here as soon as I can - I'm dying to try some of their Hawaiian food!!

Hawaiian cooking!

By Mattiasdad |

Family dropped in for lunch. Didn't try the sushi, but did get to sample a few dish. The katsudon was cooked perfectly. Fried rice and yakisoba was a hit with the kids. Burger, gravy and rice worked surprisingly well. Char siew was a tad on the dry side. All in all, a good visit.

Fun, quirky and casual

By Marco W |

It is a tiki bar cross sushi place. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is casual and funky. There is a large bar area and some TVs but it certainly is not a sports bar. The food is good but not fantastic and the prices are reasonable. We would go again but probably not drive too far out of our way to do it. If you were a sushi fanatic, you could find other places that are better but this one has a nice vibe for relaxing. There are two other more traditional sushi places within 100 yards so several choices depending on your mood.

Crappy Service

By Kent G |

My friend and I were very disappointed by the service. We asked each other if we had done something to piss off the wait staff. It took a long time to get any service at all. I asked for lemonade and it tasted very strange. The waitress brought me another one and it tasted better. I thought the food was mediocre and the portion sizes were terribly small for the amount of money. The other patrons in the restaurant appeared pretty happy.

Solid sushi and good drinks.

"Just Fine" in all Regards

By Oskarduck |

My daughter was hungry and wanted to find some place warm when it began to rain near the end of our tour of Pike Place Market. One the way back to our car we stumbled into Ohana, which had sort of a casual Polynesian/Hawaiian decor. We ordered a couple of sushi rolls and a tempura sampler, which we found to be just fine. So the food was just fine - not bad, not exceptional. And the service was just fine. I left feeling that there are so many restaurants like this one where this type of food and experience are just fine, but not exceptional in any way. Prices were reasonable, another "just fine" feature.

Ohana

By Splithearts |

A very casual and relaxing atmosphere to have a wonderful bite to eat. The prices were affordable especially for downtown Seattle. The service was good and the food delicious. I would definitely go back.

So glad I found this place!

By Travellingdame |

Our meal at Ohana will remain a great memory of our trip to Seattle. The sushi was as good as it gets, service was great, and the atmosphere was really fun. No water view, but the authentic Hawaiian menu and thatched roof booths make you feel like you're in the islands. If that doesn't do it, have one of their huge umbrella drinks and you'll be singing "Tiny Bubbles!" I just wish we had something like Ohana in Atlanta - it would really brighten up a staycation.

Great food, average prices

By crazy913 |

I've been to this place countless times. I always manage to have a Groupon when I go (check! they often have them available) so the prices are a little bit more manageable. We always get the Spam Masubi when we go - fantastic! The sushi is super tasty, very pretty and fresh ingredients, worth the price. That's actually all we ever get when we go. The service is always prompt and we've never been disappointed. One of our favorite stops in Seattle!

Hip hawaii

By peter o |

Very cool andfriendly hawaiian vibe, great and other Japan/hawaii treats, lively bar with fun cocktails. You will not leave hungry.

fun atmosphere, good sushi

By KJLockett |

We were looking for a place with reasonably priced sushi on a whim while walking downtown and found this place. It's Hawaiian themed with lots of platter-style dishes as well as sushi options. The sushi was well priced and good. We had decent service (why don't servers introduce themselves by name lately?). I would likely go again, but will try other downtown sushi spots first.

The best Mai Thai's and nice bartenders

By shortdirectflights |

Overall very good. Interesting food. Good service. Wish they opened earlier but that is really my only complaint

Fun atmosphere and Great food!

By Samantha Y |

Tiki-themed Hawaiian / Japanese bar / restaurant. Busy late night place, all the booths were full the night we went, so we opted to wait at the bar. It's a bit cheesy and tacky, but in a really fun way that doesn't take itself too seriously! Really friendly, fun atmosphere, and although I didn't expect it, the food was amazing! And pretty cheap with happy hour specials. It was karaoke night too, so we ending up spending about 3 hours here, eating, drinking and having fun. Highly recommended!

Great neighborhood spot!

By huntercaz |

I'm staying in this neighborhood for a couple months and have been visiting Ohana on a semi-regular basis. The food is great and prices are reasonable, happy hour is where it's at. Service is friendly and the doorman can tear it up on some karaoke! Karaoke can be a bit loud some times depending on the DJ, but quite a few good voices among the regulars. Mahalo guys!!

Neat place

By mychell515 |

Great food. Only went for appetizers, but were very filling. Mango cocktail was great. Would like to have come back with reservations to check out their full menu but didn't have enough time.

Pricey, yet nothing special

By starry4 |

We went to Ohana for Japanese food. Reviews say it had a Hawaiian feel. We found it more bar like than a regular restaurant. We got there at around 6pm. Lights were dim. Seating was tight. We had some sushi and left. Food was not particularly tasteful, just nothing special.

Great food!

By 208Becky |

We had planned to take our friends from Alaska to Wasabi but they weren’t open yet (opened at 4pm) and we were looking for lunch. This place had pretty high reviews and so we tried it. Really fresh food, tasty and delicious. Pics of our food shows the different types they have. You won’t be sorry if you try this place!

What a Surprise

By Jodi P |

We found this restaurant just by chance on our last night in Seattle. Well I can say I was surprised the restaurant didnt look that much from the outside but when we stepped in this changed. We were seated promptly, given menus and water brought to us. I asked Lily (Our waitress) what she would recommend and after having what she first suggested (coconut prawns) they were so good I went back for her second suggestion which was pork dumplings and yes they were also so good. I have 2 Mango Cocktails which were also very nice even on a cool evening, if it was a bit warmer and I didnt have to get up at 4am to catch a flight I would have had more of those. I finished my meal with Banana Cream Pie and it was also really good. I wish we could have stayed later as they were having a live band start at 10pm which was just part of there nightly entertainment which seemed to change each day of the week.

Fun Place

By Sir Charles |

This place was a fun stop; I don't think it has a dance floor and it can be crowded. I didn't eat but heard the food was tasty and the drinks were very good. I think of this place as a good place to hang out with friends and I would visit again if I'm in that type of mood.

Awesome sushi, quriky decor, and we keep returning

By cuervojose |

Located downtown on first avenue, this quirky Hawaiian/Japanese sushi bar restaurant is well worthy of your patronage. We have been may times and I feel it should be reviewed each time as it never disappoints. The specialty rolls are big and tasty. Nice selection of warm/cold/unfiltered sakes rounds out the menu. We only ever have the sushi, but the menu is varied and should cover all the bases for an entire dinner party if sushi is not to anyone's liking.

So great!!!

By Danielle Zarran |

The sushi was outstanding. Had a very positive experience with a great sushi chef- great conversation and recommendations. Can’t wait to go back!

Loud. What?

By Andrew P |

What? Saturday night.. the hip hop music was so loud I couldnt hear the waitress. Was the guy playing records deaf? I mean I love atmosphere too but when my drummer son is complaining about the extreme sound level then, Houston, we have a problem. Food was ok. My spam was cook well. But I guess it is precooked anyways. My wine wasn't that cold. The staff agreed the music is very loud. I won't return. Sorry.

Luke-warm food, poor service, not worth the wait.

By Gillian B |

The service was terrible - it seemed like the staff were more interested in conversing with one another, than they were in helping serve the patrons. Our server had us and one other table in his section. The food took a long time to come out, and when it did, it wasn't even warm. As someone who despises sending things back, it was uncharacteristic that I strongly encouraged my dining companion to send back his meal. It seemed like our server and a few others, were under the influence of some drug, as he zoned out of what we were saying while we were ordering, he needed us to repeat things a number of time, and was generally very indifferent to our business. Would not go back, and would not recommend it to anyone

Average Japanese Restaurant

Good Hawaiian food

By Alex M |

I Bought a voucher from Groupon for 'Ohana that we used while on vacation in Seattle. The food was pretty good and seemed pretty authentic. We had the Spam Masubi and Hawaiian pork tacos to start with and those were both really good. We then had a large variety of sushi, I LOVE sushi, that being said this sushi was ok but not spectacular. The presentation was good, and some of the sushi was very fresh while certain other cuts seemed less so. We went on a Thursday night and didn't expect much party atmosphere, it was pretty quite and we were one of only three tables. That being said I would have thought the service would have been really good but we had a very hard time getting the waitresses to stop chatting with one another long enough to bring beverages or check on our table. I would also like to note that to get to the restroom you have to squeeze through a filthy hallway that is piled over with junk from the kitchen, I honestly second guessed if there was even a bathroom at the end of the hallway at first. Over all the food was decent but the service was not so good.

Oldest tiki bar in Washington

By jalph |

Well placed near Pike Place market, Ohana Belltown has the tiki bar look, friendly service and good food. The Hawaiian decor might be a bit out of place on a rainy Seattle day, but it's a friendly place, the poke is good, and there's enough range to accommodate a family which aren't all poke fans,

Hawaiian ambiance

By KLK264 |

This is the perfect place to go if you are craving the Hawaiian experience. The decor is delightfully Hawaii funky and there is spam! They also provide leis for special occasions

Thank goodness we found this place!

By Tempo S |

First lunch stop in Seattle! We were hungry and tired and in need of a place to charge our phones before checking in to our accommodations. They set us up for that and let us order from the dinner menu (we were craving salmon.) The fish tacos and teriyaki salmon dish were amazing. Our server was awesome and the place has a really cool vibe/look. For two people who were tired, wanting simple but great food, and carrying luggage, this was perfect. We might even try to come back today! Glad we found this place.

Super fun and great food!

By Jason S |

My fiancee and I were looking for sushi for lunch in Belltown on a slow Monday and randomly found Ohana. The service was laid back - if you're in a hurry you might want to say so upfront - but that was cool with us. And although it was pretty empty when we were there, it was easy to see it is more of a nighttime place, but again, we were fine with it being quiet. The decor is awesome and if you pretend really, really hard, you can convince yourself you're in Hawaii for a few moments. We ordered the poke as a starter, which was excellent, and then got the chizuko roll and spicy tuna roll. Everything was great and we will definitely be back!

Tasty Fusion Food

By ChronicMike |

This is a great place to eat. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant has some great decorations. The sushi was pretty tasty and the Hawaiian food they served was delicious. Cheap drinks during happy hour made this a great stop during our trip to Seattle.

Love this place!!!

By Sw33t33pi |

It was my first time with some friends and family.. The menu selection was fantastic!! We ordered calamari and fries and sushi .. Everything was made to perfection! Shots of whisky and many many cocktail drinks were prepared for our group and I'll have to say that's one of the best places I've been to. Love the atmosphere! Very inviting! Even if you were there alone.. They make sure you don't feel alone! :)

Slightly dingy and slow service

By MyungJoo |

I really wanted to like this place but was let down. Here are the reasons... The restaurant is a funky tiki bar, colorful and festive but a little dingy at the same time. We went there because I was impressed by the happy hour menu on their web site and the positive reviews. It took a while for the server to take our order and her service was not friendly and very slow overall. And the prices on their website need to dated to reflect the current prices. On a positive note, we did enjoy the hot sake there.

Dirty and obnoxious

By Olga L |

Went there with my son at dinner time, because many other restaurants were closed on July 5. The food was good, but… the outside area was disgustingly dirty, old stains on the floor all over(do not want to know from what), thrush, cigaret butts. A girl customer was loudly cussing all the time we were there. Not a normal family person’s place.

Sushi

By jesshutchy |

Came here for my daughters birthday. Loved the atmosphere and the staff was friendly. Sushi was fantastic! I will come here again next time I visit Seattle!

Late lunch at ohana's

By Simon G |

My girlfriend and i went to Ohana's for a late lunch. We shared some typical hawaiien food which was a little disapointing and we had good sushi. Service was good.

Good food, fun atmosphere.

By azkristimac |

We tried this place because we had a Groupon. One of the reasons we wanted to try it was to get the poki and we were not disappointed. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back.

Fantastic Chicken Katsu

Disappointing

By HappyWandererPNW |

Ohana offers a strange mishmash of Hawaiian/Asian/Sushi. Three in our party ordered the skirt steak teriyaki. Two of the orders were at room temperature. We informed our server and he had them remade, which took enough time for the others in our party to finish their entrees. When the remade dishes came back, they were only marginally warmer. I've had better teriyaki virtually everywhere else, and for less money. I wouldn't go back.

A blast in Belltown

Sat at the bar with a friend for a few hours on a Saturday night. Lively atmosphere with good tunes, good food and strong well drinks! Overall a solid place, would return.

Fantastic chicken teriyaki. Amazing atmosphere. Lots of space for a group of eight. Friendly staff. Can't split the check on multiple cards so if you're going with a group bring cash.

Disappointing Japanese food

By Ryan Hubris #1 in Vietnam |

Food: Japanese fusion Service: Average Price: Average Value: Poor Ambiance: Strong bar and music influence Decor: Tiki lounge Location: Downtown Seattle My brother brought me here and said it was very good. Apparently things have changed from food quality to pricing. Given that, there was nothing noteworthy at this place.

Good sushi

By Tim G |

Sushi was good and service was fine. Nothing really stands out about the experience but I'd go there again if it were convenient. Price is probably a little high for what you get, but then again it's sushi.

Service is slow

By Nikki L |

There was only one waiter at first then another showed up after a while. The food was good but I've had better Hawaiian/Japanese. We had mac salad, spam musubi & yoki soba. The Hawaiian beer was great.

Pleasant surprise

My daughters and I stumbled upon this place at 10:00 last night and wow! Great food, great service and great late night happy hour prices. Normal prices looked very reasonable too. Very cool and fun decor!

Best sushi in Seattle

By Wildcat_diver |

I'm a semi local from AZ so that's where I'm coming from. Some people may be put off by the casual atmosphere of this place but don't worry, it is well worth the wait. We enjoy spicy rolls and they have a lot to offer in that department. Actually all the rolls are amazing! They are open late for Seattle standards so it's perfect for us. If you're into spicy tell your server because most rolls can be mde extra spicy. It's a casual and fun time that we make time for any chance we get! And although we are not karaoke people, the music is very entertaining! It's our go to sushi place in Seattle!

Food and drinks

By Mj6789 |

Cocktails were delicious and the food was pretty good as well. Pricing was reasonable and they had live music was pretty cool. However the place is a bit dirty, the toilets need a facelift makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like.

Ohana is O.K.

By Emjay |

I went to Ohana last month during a weekend trip to Seattle with a friend. While walking through the Belltown neighborhood we decided that we should have sushi and compare it to what we typically get in the Chicagoland area. There were several places nearby, but after a quick Yelp check we decided on Ohana. There were only 4 or 5 other people inside so we were seated quickly. The interior of this place has a cool hawaiian/polynesian/tiki/japanese vibe. It made me feel like I was in Hawaii. It took a while for a waiter to come take our order but we were not in a hurry so I didn't mind. I ordered a Kona on tap which was nice (Being from Chicago, its only available in bottles). The sushi and rolls were good; I would say above average. I know it sounds weird but the miso soup was really tasty. It was very flavorful and not your average boring salty solution. Overall, I thought the food and service were good, It was a little pricey for what we ordered, but I would definitely recommend it and go back myself.

Wow

By raininroses |

We were here on a Friday night about 8 pm or so. We were happily overwhelmed by the choices of food and drink. They were slow, but they were very busy as well.. Sushi, Hawaiian, other Asian type of meals, and great Tiki cocktails. You could come here 5 times and not get the same kind of food, which we plan to do. This time, we had sushi, and it was really tasty, fresh, and flavorful. We will definitely come here again.

Perfect place on a rainy Seattle day.

By tetsuo-san |

You may not get the island sunshine but the atmosphere, food & drink will almost make you forget it's pouring outside. The Happy Hour is great, both for the selection of appetizers & cocktails. Personally, I love the poke & pork sliders but others may enjoy the variety of sushi. Mainly, just enjoy.

Cross between Hawaiian and Japanese

Nice little spot on first avenue with a really "themed" décor of a cross between Hawaii and Japan. Yes they have sushi, and yes they make "Loco Moco". The rolls are large and very tasty. Another favorite is the Katsu. Nicely breaded ands served with rice. There is a small area of sidewalk dining during nice weather. The drinks are strong and there is a good selection of Saki, all reasonably priced.

Came for the Lava Flow

By Huyzee |

Came in on Friday night hoping to catch the kitchen before it closed but we just missed it. The DJ had modern mainstream music playing which was somewhat disappointing, I was hoping for some island/reggae music. But anyways, my reason for stopping in was to try their lava flow. I had just gotten back from Maui a week or so and after looking on yelp for a place that serve lava flows, this place seemed to have a pretty solid review. Well, it didn't quite live up to my expectation and no where near what I had in Hawaii. Now I understand that's like comparing apples to oranges but It definitely didn't make feel like you were back on the islands. Couldn't taste the pineapple, couldn't taste the coconut, because I couldn't taste the Malibu. (Yes, there are more ingredients) Three of us had the lava flow and not a single one was satisfied. Could of just been a new bartender, I don't know, I'll just have to give this drink another try next time I'm in the area and update my review then. If you'd like to make your own lava flow, you can find a pretty darn good recipe online at drinksmixer.com

Worth every penny

We found O'Hana through a $25 Groupon deal. The restaurant is located in Belltown, one of the most densely populated areas of the city, with a wonderful and friendly vibe. Great nightlife all around. We are sushi connoisseurs and did raise an eyebrow at the prices, but after getting my sashimi plate, the pieces melted in my mouth like butter. The prices were actually quite good for the quality. The atmosphere is fun, and the Pupu tray appetizer (assortment) was excellent. Very good food, good service and fun, upbeat atmosphere. Well worth checking out.

I do not know where to begin. The food is gross and the people who work there are rude. Do not go!!!

With all the trendy bars in Belltown, 'Ohana stands tall. The best bartenders and damn good chicken katsu.

Good spot to grab a drink & bite in Belltown

By Arthur K |

This is a regular stop for us every time we hit Belltown. Drinks are poured pretty generously and priced reasonably. Service here is friendly, but not always the fastest. They serve some pretty cheap food at a good price too and it's nice little snack to prolong your night of drinking. You've gotta try the musubi (spam with rice). It's a huge Hawaiian favorite. On weekend nights, they have a DJ that is very popular with islanders. It's an interesting mix of hip-hop, r&b and island music. They also play quite a bit of old school knowing their clientele is a bit older which I appreciate.

Great Food, Great Atmosphere!

By VacationsByErika |

A real treat for those who enjoy cool ambiance, decor and flavors. It's easy to find, just up the hill from Pike Place Market and is it's a great place to take a date or family. The food and drinks are fabulous... it's about as authentic Hawaiian/Polynesian as you'll get! Aloha!

Nice stop for good food

By mimmet |

Our stomachs forced us to stop by the restaurant with the closest good-looking menu we could find, and Ohana fit the bill. The vibe is definitely a little kitchy Hawaiian style, but it fit and was no more dramatic than typical restaurants in Hawaii itself. My wife and I ordered appetizers to share: fish tacos, a type of eggroll, and fried rice. All were pretty good but the fish tacos were definitely the best, although they weren't the best I've ever had. The rice though was really good, but I regretted not getting it with the fried egg. Service was great and they kept the water coming, which I always appreciate. Stop by, I don't think you'll regret it.

everyone from canada should go there!

By cindom |

this was the best restaurant in belltown, great food top of the line sushi and the staff are very cool and there to meet your needs....... a must go!

Mediocre food

By niceeeey |

The restaurant is cozy and I can see why it's a good place for friends to hang out and have a drink. The main entrees we ordered (loco moco and island ribs) however, were not tasty and the ribs were particularly dry. The spam musubi was good, but the lumpia sariwa was a vietnamese roll. Staff was very attentive and pleasant despite a busy Friday night.

Great drinks in a great location

We just stopped in for drinks, but the food looked amazing. Drinks were great and very reasonably priced. Bartenders were fun and friendly. Loved the decor.

Pure Hawaiian Aloha:)

By Shawn K |

Bought a living social coupon to try out some long needed Hawaiian food, loved it! Felt like I was back in the islands having Auntie cook a plethora of Hawaiian/Asian fusion food. Pupu platter had a nice mix of different noshes and dips. Dinner consisted of chicken adobo and kahlua pork. Adobo was great, kahlua pork needed some work on the taste (lacking a real good smoke flavor). Still loved everything including great service. So glad I found Ohana! Take yourself to island time and enjoy the ambience, food and great friends.

A Great Tiki Bar with Atmosphere

By Augietown |

We recently got into the tiki bar scene and this is one of the best we've visited. One step in the door and we knew we were going to like it. It's decorated to the rafters and we spent a lot of time being entertained by just looking around. We got there around 5:00 and started with very generous and delicious tiki drinks. We followed that with the Pupu Platter and then the Tempura Sampler and Agedashi Tofu, all of which were excellent. The portions were so generous we had difficulty finishing. As we were leaving we promised to return if we were ever in town again.

A real taste of Aloha in Issaquah WA

By Pamela A |

Our son-in-laws' mom insisted we have dinner at Ohana in Issaquah Washington. We were so delighted she did... It's very "Ono"! Full bar, sushi bar, booths. We missed Willie K's brother entertaining by one night...too bad. Nothing better than Ono grinz & music from home all in one location. Happy Hour discounts on rolls & wraps & some drinks. We had Shrimp tempura wrap, Crispy ahi, & Vegie roll. All tasty & great price $4.99. The Scallops Robata was to die for; too bad there's only 3 in the order. Also had Spicy Fried Rice, and Kalua pork pot stickers. The owner "Yosh" stopped by-we talked story long time...stop by their Seattle store too! Will be eating there again for sure.

decent dishes; small portions. cramped for space, but a very low-key, laid back environment.

Love it!

By April L |

We stop here everytime we are in Seattle! Everything we have had has been delicious. Spam Musubi, fried rice, Kahula sliders, sushi, poke and the Volcano roll have all been delicious. We highly recommend this place.

Great atmosphere and excellent food!

My daughter and I loved this place. Reasonably priced and great food. We had the steamed dumplings and sushi rolls. Best I've had in a long time.

Great place, ok sushi

By Reactor1966 |

Love the decor in this place, and we arrived early enough to take advantage of the happy hour specials. While the sushi was cheap, it was just ok tasting. Seemed like more rice than normal in the rolls. I'd go back though.

Dinner with a Groupon

By Lavinia C |

Sushi is EXPENSIVE in Seattle. We decided to get a Groupon for 'Ohana to save a little money. It basically took $20 off the full price menu, since you can't use it on the happy hour menu. Their sushi isn't "normal" sushi, it had a bit more of a varied flavor palate, but very tasty. It was also very artfully displayed. Our waitress was only okay, but the gal who seated us made up for her mediocrity. Reasonably priced beer. Overall, a very nice meal.

Great Hawaiian/Japanese Food

By Ana V |

This place has a great menu. The food is sort of a Polynesian/Japanese infusion. It is a casual place and the prices are great. The menu is huge and everything we had was great. My only complaint would be that the service was very slow but the food was great.

Nice fun Place

By William T |

everything we had was solid sushi - good poki - good ( a lil spicy) - still nice Chicken Teriyaki - moist for breast meat - I always like thighs Mai Ti - Tasty and made me feel like I had the tolerance of a high school girl - double thumbs up Lava Flow - needed to blend a little more Service - quick and correct - Table next to us was rude and the guy took the drink off and solved it - would recommend this guy for a raise - sorry don't have his name A little pricey but its downtown

Great Food and Drinks

By Anton G |

I went with friends/ customers after some sightseeing. Everybody liked their cocktails and sushi. Our favorite is the Bikini Roll. Later in the evening, a live band started playing music. Even though I love music and the band was great, I personally prefer a nice conversation without yelling in order to be louder than the music. But that is a personal preference. I would totally go back.

Fun spot with decent food and tiki drinks

By smithpatch |

Glad to find this sushi place open for lunch and serving tiki drinks in a fun atmosphere. I ordered a special sushi roll that was really delicious, along with some yummy mixed fried tempura. Husband had more of a traditional Chinese mixed veggie stirfry he seemed to enjoy. I wish the drink selection was a little more varied or sophisticated, but they tend towards the very sweet mixers. Enjoyed them, anyway.

The Colt Brennan

By DJ307 |

The Colt Brennan Sushi Roll is still the best sushi roll that I have ever had... It's a Chef's Specialty, but it's worth involving yourself in. The rest of the meal was top notch, but I never get too full off sushi (I'm not sure that's a good or a bad thing) and the chef recommended the Colt Brennan roll and I thoroughly enjoyed! Especially washing it down with a Sapporo, it went well together.

Good happy hour menu in a fun atmosphere

By MrTed |

I love everything about Hawaii, or even remotely Hawaiian, and simply cannot resist a tiki bar, so I was very excited go to Ohana for happy hour when visiting Seattle. A local friend suggested we stop here before going to dinner and we had a great time. Fruity tropical beverages and yummy Hawaiian-inspired pupus in kitchy tropical decor - what more could a person want? I highly recommend the spam musubi!

Nice Bar, cool place.

By Erez E |

Located on the 1st Avenue, this bar offers a quick dining, long drinking, cool music and with some good company. This is not a fancy place for fine dining. It is a place to get some good Seattle atmosphere and good vibes Recommend for all ages.

Good sushi and cute drinks

By mmaurycy |

A fun Belltown dining spot. Great with a Living Social coupon or select their Happy Hours deals. Monday or Tuesday they have all day happy hour. It is unfortunate that the coupons do not allow you to use them for discounted deals. Food and drinks are good. An enjoyable experience.

Hawaiian Hangout

By Triperoo |

After eating a lot of pub food, during a recent trip to Seattle, my husband and I were looking for something different. We happened to stumble upon "ohana" and were drawn in by the Hawaiin inspired menu and warm, tropical decor. There is a great beer/wine/sake selection. i couldn't decide between sushi or chicken teriyaki, so I had both! I'm glad i did! the sushi was prepared perfectly and both the teriyaki & stir fry that my husband had were delicious. The staff were very friendly and we really did feel like we were at a Hawaiian hangout. This is a small, sunny getaway in the middle of rainy Seattle.

Great food and atmosphere

The place to be in Belltown.

By LoriMcQ1 |

My husband and I spent 5 days in Seattle and we visited Ohana 4 times. Our first visit was for dinner late Friday evening. The food was great, we sat on the deck under a heat lamp. My husband loved the Loco Moco. The music was great, just a little too loud for us at the time as we had a long day. We returned on Saturday for lunch and a drink. My husband used to live in Hawaii so he loved the atmosphere and I loved the island vibe. They were playing awesome reggae tunes and the food was great. For our last night in Seattle we dropped in for some tasty drinks before heading out to the waterfront to watch the sunset then returned to have a few more. The bartender was very friendly and provided great service. Karaoke was great, and Ron at the door was fun and great to chat with. We met amazing people at Ohana and loved the food and service. Thanks to everyone who provided a great experience. We will definitely go back.

Good food!

Very good Hawaiian and Japanese restaurant down town Seattle. We had squid and cold Asian rool that was nice! Then hamburgers not very Hawaiian but we had cravings. Very good. One thing, slow slow service..

Great happy hour venue

By Erin C |

We went on a Tuesday evening and happy hour ran until 11.30pm. The food portions were generous and it tasted great. We tried California rolls, cucumber rolls, crispy salmon skin rolls, sushi combo, gyoza and edamame plus drinks and the bill was just over $40. Highly recommended.

Awful

By Klemheist |

We came on a Groupon voucher and now realize why they need to discount so badly to fill seats. When we turned up there were two other patrons, at lunchtime. We were seated outside and very quickly realized the street is a hang-out for dodgy looking types with what looks like a half-way house next door. The food was overcooked. The fish and chips I had were almost brown from oil that had not been changed in what looked like a month. Dry tasteless fish from who knows where. Meanwhile our waiter conducts what looks like a drug exchange with someone coming up to the fence from the street. Money for something in a packet. "Use it wisely" he quips to the desperate looking street man with long hair. I say act 'wisely' and don't go to this restaurant...ever!

Cute little tiki place

By ParaPara789 |

Plenty of tiki decor with a laid back vibe. The sushi was good and it was fun to have a spam musubi and reminisce about a previous trip to Hawaii! Staff was friendly and they had a great menu.
