Very nice restaurant with very good food

By Mike D |

We had dinner at Ohlala and were very impressed by the food. We had the Lyonnaise salad which was moist as it should be with thick cuts of bacon, crisp croutons and fresh frisee salad , topped by a poached egg. As good as any i have ever had in France. The Moules frites were also very good. The moules themselves maybe not as plump as they could be , but that could be a function of location away from the sea. The sauce was impeccable and the french fries the required matchstick size. the filet au poivre vert was cooked to perfection and the mousse au chocolate with bits of oranges totally delectable. The restaurant has been opened about 6 months and was very full. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. We will be back

A Fantastic Surprise to find in my Moms Neighborhood!

By GinaGK |

While visiting my mom this weekend, we wanted to go to someplace new but close to her home, and I found Ohlala nearby. Next to Starbucks, once you walk in, you do not feel like you are in a strip mall! The walk in wine cellar immediately got me excited to try their wine! The place was pretty busy for a Sunday night. We started with a plate of meat and cheese and OMG the duck pate was amazing! The goat cheese and thin sliced sausage was such a perfect start. We ordered the tomato caprese and it came served in a jar with infused olive oil and herbs de province - SO delicious! I ordered the filet with the povre sauce again excellent and cooked as I ordered. Now the wine, we started with a white char and it was crisp and buttery and smooth ($65) then moved to Cab ($9 glass), We trusted Abbie, our waitress, to recommend based on our preference and she did not disappoint, it was again perfect! Abbie was so nice and seemed to be happy to serve us, not like it was her job, but like she really loves what she does and that made it great for us! Since everything was so darn good, we decided to order the tiramisu and again, not too thick, not dry, just right! The owner gave us a chocolate mousse complimentary and between the three of us we ate everything! Oh, my mom ordered the escargot to start and I tried one again and it was tender and not like the ones I tried in France. To sum this review up, I cannot wait to go back and try that cheese burger for lunch, the Foie gras, more wine, the mussels, so much more! What a treasure to have this gem in the neighborhood. Although I live in Phoenix, I would absolutely come here again and would recommend it to you! Excellent job Oh La La!

Can't win 'em all...

By FadedFoodie |

Perhaps my 8th(?) visit - I want to like this place. Drove across town specifically for the beef tartare - listed twice on the menu! 86! Bummer! Basic garden salad with Boton lettuce and red onion was very good - well dressed and fresh. Warm goat cheese app missed. Onion soup was flatter than a pancake. So disappointed. But I'll return for redemption - some time...

Great dinner with friends

Authentic French food not on the Strip Very reasonably priced, fresh ingredients, excellent service and everything we tried was amazing. Pistachio crusted goat cheese is to die for. Must try in Vegas

One of the best local restaurants

By Ronlv |

I have a eaten here twice now and it is a real French Bistro. They have all the classics, escargot, steak tartare, French onion soup etc. We shared the charcuterie plate which was excellent and the steak tartare may be the best in town. I had the muscles which were very good but the Petrale sole was excellent and worth coming back for. Great local restaurant far from the strip.

Best dessert of my life

By Gwen H |

My sweetheart and I wanted a lovely "after New Year's" location to celebrate the new year. He has been to Ooh La La before, but I had not. Knowing my love of country French cuisine, we dined at Ooh La La. The creme brulee was what dreams are made of, with the perfect crack. The tiramisu, which we have renamed "mama's not your normal tiramisu" is by far the best tiramisu either of us have ever had. We will definitely recommend and return.

Restaurant being cleaned as we tried to finish our entree

By Trip02485099718 |

BEWARE: Don't plan on a leisurely meal, if your reservation is for after 8pm. Made a 8:15pm reservation. Service was a bit slow. Food good. At 9:40pm, while we were still eating our main courses, they turned up the lights and about 5 minutes later, they starterd mopping the floors. Needless to say, we were unable to enjoy finishing the dinner we paid for. If the restaurant wants to close at 9:30, they should not take 8:15 reservations.

A mixed bag

By Angelafoodlover |

The good: it is a charming, petite place with very attentive service and simple, fun decor with true French music setting the tone. The wine options & menu are nice, like a proper French bistro stateside. I enjoyed my salad lyonnaise, but not the easiest to eat full leaves of frisee from a bowl. Great frites (or fries). The bad: very odd portions on things, e.g. the tiny steak (maybe 3oz) & underwhelming ramekin of sauce au poivre vert my husband was given for $29. The prices were okay on some but rather high overall, and a 2-person meal that wasn't great turned into ~$100. The ugly: my mussels dish was scary. Odd fishy, sour taste. My husband's soupe à l'onion was bizarre, almost no taste in the broth (watered down chicken instead of beef) & little onion. Sadly, we were both looking forward to our first meal à la française in Vegas, but this didn't hit the mark.

Wonderful neighborhood french bistro. Richard the owner warmly greets people and the waitresses are exceptionally friendly. The food is excellent and very reasonably price. It has become our favorite local restaurant

Excellent French Cuisine

By Pierre-Emmanuel P |

We are Las Vegas locals but originally from France. This restaurant feels like home with genuine french cuisine and amazing service. Last time we went there the foie gras was homemade and we had very good wine. The steak was delicious. This is not expensive compared to the strip. Absolutely recommend.

The goods and the bads.

By Rayhaus547 |

The service by the owner and the waiter was excellent. The decor is refined while the chairs can be a little more comfortable. After tasting the escargots, we had the special happy hour which is a bottle of French wine and a plate of charcuterie ( dry meat) for $35. A great value. The bread was by far the best French baguette in Las Vegas. The wine was fruity with a good aftertaste. The escargots were good but not the best I had in Vegas. The charcuterie plate had the best French ham (jambon) u can ever find in Las Vegas. The other dry meats were good too. The pate was refined, while I would have prefer a pate campagnard. Unfortunately the dessert, which was a creme brule was not at the level expected for a French restaurant. I had to return it. A nice experience. I will go back and try other food.

ALWAYS EXCELLENT

First visit

By John B |

Our visit as it opened only a month ago. Will come back again to gain a proper insight. The food was good, goats cheese with a pistachio crust. Brochette of lamb with root vegetables. Chocolate mouse to finish. It lacks a French atmosphere. More subdued lighting would help. Playing French music in the back ground would be nice. Some Edith Piath. All in all a pleasant experience. A welcome addition to the Summerlin restaurant scene.

Oh La La - French bistro, French breads, tasty salads

By marcopolopaloalto |

Oh La La French restaurant with flans, quiches, fish 🐟 dishes. We loved our salads with balls of goat chèvre cheeses, Served in large bowls. The French bread was real and crusty, and the service was friendly, and they were accommodating about salad ingredient changes.... salads can be served with a number of choice ingredients. We weren't high maintenance....

A Hidden Epicurean Delight

By Paul1963350 |

Having recently visiting France, we decided to try Ohlala which is 'hidden" in Northern Summerlin area. Typical of so many eateries in France, Ohlala is also small which offers excellent food, services and relative privacy. While menu offers wide selection of wines, appetizers, entrees and delightful deserts, what is wonderful is that the costs are exceptionally lower than any other "French Styled" restaurants in Las Vegas Valley.

A great find!

By FREQ_DINER10 |

Four of us were there to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were immediately taken to our table, which was next to a window overlooking a wine room. We ordered a bottle of reasonably priced French wine and the appetizers: a charcuterie platter, baked Brie, escargots and a Lyonnaise salad. Everything was really good except the salad. It was OK, but not really a Lyonnaise. The main problem was the dressing, which was based on Balsamic vinegar (the French use a sour, not sweet vinegar and Dijon mustard). The other problem was the poached egg was overcooked, not at all runny, the shallots/onions were sliced (they're supposed to be chopped, in the dressing), there were croutons in the salad (not common) and the bacon is supposed to be cut from a slab, not thin slices. I still ate it, as I was very hungry. The main courses were sole meuniere, rack of lamb and filet mignon. They were very good, all of them. The French fries were truly remarkable, very thin and crunchy yet small in the middle. The service was outstanding, our waitress was super friendly and when she asked if we wanted dessert, I told her no, we have cake at home for my husband's birthday, so she went and brought him a delicious Tiramisu. We will definitely go back, it's rare to find an authentic French bistro in Vegas (that doesn't break the bank)

ALWAYS EXCELLENT

Nouveau Beaujolais Dinner

By Rebecca D |

We joined some friends for the worldwide celebration of the nouveau Beaujolais French wine. For a 2017 wine this one was amazingly fruit forward, yet still delicate and actually rather sweet. It paired well with the evening’s specials ordered at our table of lamb shank and coq au vin. I ordered the Hachis Parmentier, which is really a French shepherds pie topped with gruyere cheese. The lamb was simply prepared and the coq au vin was a hearty, albeit lots of bones to wrestle, plate. I really think the Hachis was the star - and all the dishes are rustic with little to no presentation nor flair of garnish, etc. Located in an unassuming shopping area, they serve country French homey meals fairly priced.

Jewel in the Desert

By Janice Alpern |

A friend introduced us to Ohlala. The four of us had dinner there last evening and it was a sheer delight from start to finish. To begin, it is always exciting to find a restaurant that serves amazing food at moderate prices with outstanding service and charming decor off The Strip and only 20 minutes from our home! We started with the warm crusted pistachio goat cheese which was ample for two people. The cheese was delicate and complimented by the honey glazed onion confit and pistachios. It was served with crostini. The special that evening was rack of lamb with tarragon mustard sauce. The lamb was cooked to perfection and while I usually don't like a sauce with my lamb, especially the traditional mint sauce, the tarragon mustard sauce added a nice tang. It was accompanied by sautéed zucchini which was a good pairing. Nino was warm and welcoming and was so helpful with his wine suggestions as well as some of the items on the menu as was Joshua. Our friends started with La Chèvre Chaud salad - arugula, baked goat cheese and onions - which they enjoyed. One had the filet mignon and the other the flank steak and both were happy with their selections. We were so satisfied with our food that we needed to skip dessert, but there is always a next time and you can bet we'll return again and again.

DELIGHTFUL BIT OF FRANCE IN THE HOOD (Summerlin)

By Norm T |

Four of us had lunch at OHLALA today. About half full for lunch on a hot day. Yet, a definite vibe in the cafe. Charming owners assisted us, they are from Tunisia. lunch menu varies, we had Croc Misseuer, Croc Madam, onion soup (as good as anything in Paris). Flan was a delight and the mousse a delight. This a visit to heaven. Highly recommended.

Summerlin Gem!!

By Debra W |

Celebrated my husbands birthday with friends at Ohlala French Bistro - and were so glad we did! What a relaxing evening with great food. The host welcomed us as soon as we arrived, and made sure everything in the restaurant was running smoothly. Our waiter had a wonderful personality and helped us with recommendations for both wine and food selections. Since there were 4 of us we shared appetizers - a fantastic cheese platter as well as pistachio crusted goat cheese melted with Onion jam, honey, and pistachio. The tastes were tremendous - and a perfect size to share for 4 before a meal. We also shared two salads- the endive and the beet. Both were full of taste and wonderful. We all raved about our entrée selections - moules poulette, duck, lamb, and salmon. We were all a bit apprehensive about the duck but this was fantastic - not greasy and with a wonderful taste ( we all tried it!) All the other entrees were also delicious and we would order them again. For dessert we shared a chocolate mousse and crème brulee, again they did not disappoint. Prices are moderate for the quality of food, you would pay much more on the Strip - which makes it nice for a great local restaurant in Summerlin. The atmosphere was very relaxing with French ambiance. They serve European portions, which is nice as you really can order an appetizer, entrée, and dessert and be able to enjoy all of it! We will definitely return here for dinner - we really enjoyed the food and the owner and staff were both friendly and informative - this is an amazing find for a local restaurant!

Amazing french bistro

By launnh |

I really recommend you this French restaurant. The food is excellent, fresh products and good quality. The place is magnificently decorated and the very team is very, very nice . Great cellar. Amazing address in Vegas .

Excellent food, unhurried and pleasant

By Gregory N |

The medley of individual dishes ordered (Escargot, Sole Meuniere, Filet Mignon, not to mention a few excellent salads) all were very good, but I want to 'broadbrush' our experience ....... the decor was sophisticated and the timely service contributed to a very enjoyable and relaxed 2 hour unrushed lunch between several friends .... full marks to Ohlala!

Decorated nicely inside; excellent food and service

By Cwpappa |

I plan on returning to this restaurant. It has a French Onion soup made with a vegetable broth (instead of beef stock) that I want to try, but sadly it wasn't offered during brunch. Service was impeccable, and the restaurant is decorated so nicely that you forget you are in a strip mall. The French background music also adds to the ambiance. Of course, the most important item is the food, and our meal was very good. The only downside is that coffee is charged per cup (even the regular coffee).

Delightful French Bistro

By david92130 |

We have eaten there several times and never been disappointed, and frequently bring friends and visitors. We have tried several dishes and enjoyed them all. Sometimes the specials will include unusual dishes more typically found in France. On the regular menu, the bavette (flank steak) is one of my favorites. Many of our friends love the moules (I am not a mussel fan myself). The waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Prices are reasonable (much better than the strip) and the wine list has some good, well-priced choices. It is a little hard to find in a strip mall, but worth looking for and parking is easy.

Tres bon!

By FadedFoodie |

On the recommendation from a friend, I tried Ohlala for lunch with a business associate. Most impressive. Delightful menu, excellent preparation & presentation, friendly staff and delicious taste. European portions keep it real. Nice wine list too. Delighted to know such a pleasant taste of France is available without all the froo-froo.

A charming French cafe

By Yung T |

This restaurant came up when we searched for French restaurant in Vegas, and we are so glad it did. What a charming bistro with great food at reasonable price and exceptional service. We ordered escargots for appetizer and they were no worse than what we had in Bourgogne. If Duck Confit is available on Special menu, get it. Make sure you call the in advance for reservation as the place filled up very quick for dinner. We wish we could come back again, and definitely will stop back on our next trip to Vegas.

Great French Food

By Renee O |

A wonderful quite little place. Great food and wine. The service is excellent. A little like being on a back street of Paris in a Bistro.

GREAT RESTAURANT

By tazman1953 |

We heard about this restaurant from a friend so we decided to try it. Some of the best French Food I have ever had. Service was a 10, the Escargot was superb, I had the Flank steak which was excellent, small wine list but very well balanced in choices. Make sure you make a reservation as they have only 13 tables, it is family owned. The prices are very reasonable will be going back real soon.

Affordable but basic French

By Michael U |

Described as a modern French Bistro near Desert Shores in Summerlin Ohlala has done a remarkable job of accruing good word of mouth for nearly two years despite a lack of advertising, its shopping plaza location not really standing out save for Nittaya's Secret Kitchen though that may actually be part of the reason as such a space allows for both modest prices and expectations. Not exactly a “destination” part of Sin City, the proliferation of chains in an HOA-heavy ‘burb well-suited to moneyed clientele that likely feels the epitome of dining in Paris is a smoky Café along the Seine, Ohlala French Bistro is operated by Richard Terzaghi who last owned an Osteria in San Francisco, the owner’s “half French-half Italian” background announced unprompted when explaining why the Restaurant features Mozzarella on its Cheese Plate and Tiramisu on the Dessert Menu. Filling a prior Restaurant space next to Starbucks, the décor a mish-mash of Pier One ideas, chandeliers and seating ranging from steel bar stools to plush leather banquets, it was shortly after 7/8 of the group was seated that Beverages were poured and Specials described, Richard himself a charming front-of-house sort that genuinely seems to care about customer experience. Offering a smallish Wine List divided between France and California with fair markups and Food that focuses on France with occasional diversions it was after the final diner arrived that two sharable plates were served alongside outsourced Baguette, the “Royal Charcuterie” a great value allowing all to get a taste of eight different Meats for just $27 while “Le Tout Cheese” brought only one highlight in the “stinky French” Reblochon that apparently warranted three mentions, the rest nothing better than one might find at Walmart and not done any favors by the lone condiment of Pickles. Most impressed by the smoked Duck amongst the Meats, a plate of Escargot ordered by someone who feigned knowledge of “real” French Food but only ate one Snail smothered in Butter and Herbs also showing well, suffice it to say that although edible the French Onion Soup is in desperate need of some Salt or Beef to match-up against the likes of Bardot or Andre’s while “L’Endive” Salad is far more bitter than it reads thanks too questionable “candying” of the Nuts and Mustard in its Dressing. Sharing Appetizers but ordering Mains separate, the lack of Duck on Summer’s menu a disappointment to many, it was after considering $32 Lamb which others seemed to enjoy that the decision was made to instead select Sole Meunière, the Escargot-ordering aficionado declaring it “too buttery” while three others including this writer found it nicely prepared and well-balanced by Capers and Citrus, though the limp Asparagus would have benefitted from a little less cooking time. Allowed to taste another diner’s Fettuccine Carbonara before moving onto Dessert, the heavy use of Cream and thus unnecessary Egg Yolk creating something far richer than delicious and utterly confusing as relates to “authenticity,” it was with a Double Espresso from Illy washing the palate that a Sundae of outsourced Ice Cream and housemade toppings was served in a Jar, nothing about it remarkable or worth $9 but still a fine Sundae. THREE STARS: Positioned in an area lacking for quality Restaurants Ohlala capitalizes by serving French Classics at a fair price, the results generally good and service exemplary though most dishes fall short in one way or another while décor and ambiance leave a lot to be desired compared to Andre’s or Marche Bacchus , let alone Bouchon and Bardot.

Very Enjoyable

By Ken F |

We had dinner at Ohlala at the recommendation of a nearby resident. We were not disappointed. A nice choice of entrees with interesting specials. The wait staff are helpful and pleasant. Our entrees were very good. As well, they offer a nice wine selection. This restaurant is nowhere near the "strip" or downtown which is actually a plus in many ways. We very much enjoyed the bistro atmosphere.

A hidden gem

By Pam717 |

This is a wonderful authentic french restaurant hidden in a strip mall. This small restaurant had a lovely decor and warm friendly serice. The food was excellant using high quality ingredients. We shared french onion soup, lyonaise salad, steak tartare and hache parmentiere. Everything was wonderful. The salad had homemade croutons (crunchy outside and soft inside) and the steak tartare was amazing. We also shared the special chocoate desert (chocolate and vanilla gelato with chocolate ganache and freshly made whipped cream. Amazing! (FYI, prices were moderate, too)

Good food Good people

Tres Bien!

By MDDdolphin |

Tucked away in a corner at Rampart and Lake Mead Blvd. is this excellent locals French bistro. It’s small and cozy without being too loud for comfortable table talk. The owner is an amiable Frenchman who likes to visit the tables and offer suggestions for food or wine. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the offerings. Starters average about $15, with mains from $20-45. Good wines can be had for under $100/bottle. We started with the traditional escargots in butter; very tender, and a wonderful crusted pistachio goat cheese. The duck magret and sole meunière were both well prepared and presented. We would have liked to have seen a foie gras on the menu, but for a small place, the menu is well curated. Service was appropriately attentive. We love to see locals places that offer high quality dishes at less than Strip prices. This stop did not disappoint and we will certainly return.

A dream come true

By goodlittleeater |

We turned into a strip mall and I thought, oh boy, we made a mistake. We walked into the most charming bistro. Georgeus. The wine selections were outstanding. For an appetizer we had brie croquettes over arugala salad. Then a beet, goat cheese and orange salad. At this point we were purring at the goodness. Then our sole meuniere arrived. Indescribably delicious. We finished with creme Brule. What a hidden gem.

Exceptional

By VMuseum |

We found this restaurant when trying to dine somewhere not on the strip. This was highly rated for the food and service. It did not disappoint as both were exceptional. My husband had the beef tartare and the steak frites and I had the beer salad. All were delicious. But the best part of the evening was the attentive service. You felt as if they really wanted you there and we're hoping you enjoyed it. Will definitely be back on our next trip.

Authentic French Bistro Quisine in Summerlin

By ELunk |

My wife and I are so happy to have discovered Ohlala. We had just been reminiscing that morning about the escargot we had had near Montmartre on our last trip to Paris. Our simple lunch of escargot, baked brie, mussels, crème brulee with a couple glasses of Rose, (pics below), was wonderful and the service personable and attentive, thanks Abbey. We are looking forward to returning to Ohlala for dinner soon.

Great place nice atmosphere

By TravellerThruTime30 |

Staff is very professional and courteous! Lucky I made a reservation because the place was at capacity during our entire dinner. Wine very good, the food very simple and great tasting. If you are visiting Las Vegas you need a car to get to this location (taxi may cost too much as the place is about 1/2 hour from the strip). Well worth it and will return

Located near Rampart Casino resort but well worth going out of the hotel for dinner. Abby and Hend were great friendly hosts.

Foie gras and duck confit

By FREQ_DINER10 |

Last time we were here we were told that occasionally they have home made foie gras and confit de canard, so we left our phone numbers so they can call us. Our group of 6 got called and immediately made a reservation for last Sunday. We all ordered the items mentioned above and they were delicious. The confit came in two sizes: one leg or two, we all got the two, and were happy with the size. That came with french fries (delicious). The legs were perfectly cooked, salted correctly and very tender. The foie gras tronchon was very soft and smooth. The wine was 1/2 price because it was Sunday, and the service and atmosphere were excellent as always! I hope they keep up the good work!

We had a lovely dinner at Ohlala

By Anthony S |

We had a lovely dinner at Ohlala. The French menu was extensive, the food was delicious and the prices were moderate. The wine was good value. The décor is poor. The wait staff were charming and professional. The location is near Tivoli Village

Deja Vu

A later night bite following a fund raising event. Kitchen closes at 10pm, but they lingered nicely for us to finish. Salad, appetizer and a glass of wine. Delicious, affordable, friendly. What more can you ask?

Date Night

By Jerri T |

Small quaint French Bistro in the Summerlin area that satisfies your cravings for escargot in a rich butter sauce with plenty of bread for dipping. Mussels that were seasoned a little too sweet, sole meunière that was delish and endive salads with huge chunks of blue cheese. A table for two with reservations and we were seated next to the drafty front door... my coat stayed on for the entire meal...busy night in a small restaurant, friendly staff and good service. We look forward to finding new places to enjoy each other’s company and this was a 7 out of 10.

Another Great Las Vegas (Summerlin) Restaurant

By PatSnyder |

It's always fun to discover terrific restaurants in unexpected places, like a shopping center in Summerlin. The truth is you don't have to go to the Strip to find this city's jewels! Ohlala has an interesting menu (I had cornish hen which was cooked wrapped in a brown bag with onions). It was terrific. They have a great wine list (including a Sicilian white wine which I loved). So hats off to a find in Summerlin!

AMAZING

By Jessica K |

We actually came to the area for Nattaya's because it had been recommended by some friends, we walked into that restaurant at 5:15 on a Thursday and were told there was no chance of being seated until at least 7:45 (and 5/6 of the restaurant was empty, or currently cashing out). We walked across the parking lot of Ohlala, and it was AMAZING. The service was impeccable, being attentive, but not annoying. We ordered the pistachio goat cheese appetizer, and it was delicious. My husband ordered the Coq Au Vin (the special for the night), and it was very properly done, with a fabulous sauce. I had the garlic mussels, and the were properly done, which just enough garlic to make them tasty, but no overpowering. We then split the chocolate gelato dessert, and it was unbelievably tasty, without being too overpoweringly chocolate (my husband actually doesn't like dark chocolate, but this had enough vanilla gelato to balance the rich chocolate). We will definitely be back!!!

While visiting Las Vegas we ate at Ohlala with our friends that live near the restaurant. The food and service were very good. The staff very friendly. If we lived in that area we would definitely go back.

A MUST visit

By simiseeu |

This little gem has been on our bucket list for some time, so I'm glad we finally got around to dining here for lunch. They offer a couple of prix fixe options for $15 & $20, respectively, but being this was our first time and based on what the menu offered, we opted to go with various appetizer selections, and none disappointed. They bring you endless small baskets of sliced baguettes, which come in handy when sampling some of these great little dishes. The Mrs and I shared the following: *Charcuterie Board (small) *French Onion Soup *Warm Crusted Pistachio Goat Cheese *Beef Tartare (large, which comes with outstanding frites) *Escargot *Goat Cheese-Filled Fig Wrapped in Prosciutto on a Bed of Arugula - this last one was not on the regular menu The dishes, while for the most part smallish in size, were nonetheless collectively quite filling to the point that we brought home some of the Pistachio Goat Cheese and Beef Tartare to enjoy later (nice of them to also throw in additional bread), and reasonably priced to boot. Our entire bill including tax was less than $65. I'd say that's pretty good for enjoying a delicious variety of authentic French bistro plates. And service was nothing short of excellent.

Great Bistro!

Love the food here. It always fresh, homemade and unique. If you like French food you’ll love this little restaurant. Great place for date nights.

A wonderful bistro in Summerlin

By FREQ_DINER10 |

A very authentic French Bistro at reasonable prices and very friendly, professional service. We were a party of 6, asked for 3 separate checks and it was done with no problems or errors. The food was delicious, from the appetizer platters and bread to the main courses, I had flank steak and shoestring (delicious and not dry) potatoes, my husband had the sole (two other people had it) and it was amazing, and two people had the filet mignon which was tender and delicious. We had 3 bottles of rose and 3 desserts (chocolate mousse, tiramisu - yummy, and a chocolate ice cream with shards of dark chocolate inside and whipped cream). Everything was very good, including the casual, intimate atmosphere and the fact that you could hear your friends speak, the noise level was low. I strongly recommend this rare restaurant, let's hope they stick around for a while!

Disapointment French Style

By Sharon R |

We had French onion soup which tasted a bit more flavorful than water Our family drove quite a distance to enjoy French food and were highly disappointed The salad of shrimp and frisée was not good and the cauliflower gratin was simply awful and came out cold The redeeming quality was our lovely waitress She was very accommodating Oh and the bread at the beginning of the meal was excellent

EXCELLENT

By carandnat |

We went there with some friends, and the owner has been very nice with us!!!!!!The food is Awesome, and we spent a vey nice evening.......Highly recommend..........

French food by a real Frenchman

By MLE0904 |

The owners are both French and do all of the menu planning a prep. The French onion soup is thick with lots of caramelized onions. The filet with green pepper sauce is great. Make sure to try the beef Burgundy when it is on the menu.

What a wow welcome. I 100% recommend this restaurant which offers very good French products. Very kind and attentive waitress. The decoration of the room is magnificent. Very good value for money 🥇 We couldn't dream of a better French meal. So thank you for everything and see you next time in Vegas

A great time in this great quality French restaurant!

A little French cocoon in Las Vegas! French bread and butter, aperitifs, starters, dishes and desserts typical in France, an excellent wine list. We tasted several dishes, until dessert, everything was perfect! The service was impeccable and very pleasant. Thank you, we had a memorable evening, we recommend 100% this superb French restaurant.

Just Right

Small, very warm, & very French cafe. The cheese and meat boards were fabulous. The onion soup excellent. Dress up or not. All the entrees we tried were great. The wine selection is not extensive, but obviously selected by someone with local knowledge of French wine (laugh). Prices were within the expected range. A good recommendation and a step above the ordinary!

An excellent French restaurant

By jmeyersnv |

My wife and I enjoyed another fine meal at Ohlala French Bistro earlier this week. Let me start by saying that this is an unpretentious restaurant; someone seeking a "Guy Savoy in the suburbs" should seek elsewhere. The dishes we ordered included French onion soup (excellent, as usual), escargot (good -- lots of garlic, but could have used a bit more salt), beef tartare -- as an additional appetizer (also good, though perhaps a little too "mustardy" for some), sole meuniere (excellent, with a delicious beurre blanc sauce ), duck confit (a special that night -- very good, but could have used a larger amount of its accompanying sauce as the meat was a bit dry), French fries (always superb!) and, for dessert, chocolat liegeios (delicious and unique). For wine, we had a simply wonderful bottle of Taittinger (brut) champagne (dry, yet fruity, and and an exceptional buy at only $67). Frankly, Ohlala offers the finest value of any French restaurant in the entire Las Vegas valley, and it never disappoints!

Great food and service

Had dinner with a friend last night. The food and service wete excellent. The muscles were very good. The food prices were not bad for what you get. Restaurant is a little hard to find. I have been going to the Starbucks near the restaurant for a year and never knew it was near.

WHAT A GREAT FIND!

By CVTDESIGN |

I am in this area for business and a bit of pleasure. Finding delicious food in a quiet atmosphere away from neon lights and noise was paramount for tonight's dinner. Ohlala French Bistro delivered EXACTLY what I was craving. A sweet little bit of France dropped into a routinely ordinary strip center next to a Starbucks...it did not dissappoint. The atmosphere is stylish and held unexpected design surprises (I work in interior design). The owner greeted us and assisted with taking our orders. His female food server was excellent and very helpful when we needed help finding a taxi cab ... smartphone issues kept us from using our phone apps. My friend ordered the goat cheese/pistachio/honey tartine and the carbonara pasta. She was more than delighted with both -- "exquisite" is what she just said. I ordered the gazpacho, the ham/cheese tartine and the La Lyonaisse Salad. All were very well prepared, fresh ingredients and delicious. A blended gazpacho is fine with me, however, I prefer it topped with diced cucumber, green onions and bell peppers (their version omitted the toppings). My tartine was very good. Both of the tartines we ordered were served on a bread triangle that seemed to be toasted on the underside. They were plated with leafy greens and a balsamic reduction. My salad was a generous portion and the flavors took me back to France. Everything seemed very authentic. It was a very enjoyable evening and redeemed us from a trying day in this desert region.

Average food

I wanted to really like this Bistro. We had excellent service, but my flank steak dinner was very chewy and had huge chucks of fat throughout it. I was disappointed with the quality of the meat for $29. The fries were hot, which I liked.

Ohlala french bistro 2120 N Rampart Blvd Ste 150 Las Vegas, Nevada

Had the filet mignon and it was overcooked from how I asked for it and had grizzle in it. It seemed like a poor-quality piece of meat.

Nice surprise

We travel internationally a lot, especially France, and this restaurant comes as close as you can get in taste. Everyone is very friendly so we had a very enjoyable meal. Well worth the drive outside the Strip.

We had a charming French dinner at Ohlala

We had a charming French dinner at Ohlala. The food was delicious and moderately priced. The wines were also moderately priced. The décor is not attractive. The wait staff were charming and professional. The location is good, about 2 1/2 miles north of Tivoli Gardens in Summerlin

Lovely dining experience

I love French cuisine and happily I was not disappointed with Ohlala. The room is small but charming, the service is very good as was the food. Went for dinner with friends, but am anxious to go back to lunch with my gal pals.

Warm, Inviting, Great Service and Food

By Bruce T |

We visited this neighborhood French Bistro recommended by friends and we were very pleasantly surprised to find a creative menu, which is very fairly priced. The wine selections by the glass were very good and reasonably priced. The escargot was a little dry but the salads, pastas, and steaks were great. We will put this on our list of go to restaurants.

Great food

A wonderful atmosphere with some really tasty food. The baked Brie with roasted garlic was so delicious. The Brie burger was very tasty. The shepherd’s pie which goes by a different French name was excellent

Goal: ordering entire menu; Then do it again

Fabulous and memorable experience of an authentic French restaurant serving dishes you would love to reorder before your plate is done

Found this restaurant on trip advisor and have to say it exceeds my expectations. Amazing food, great staff and so non-Vegas! Highly recommended

Excellent New French Restaurant

I'm happy to find a local French Bistro in Summerlin, west of Las Vegas blvd. Food is great, service is great and prices are very fair. Worth a trip from the strip to this boutique restaurant.

Nice to be back

By FadedFoodie |

Reunited after isolation, my darling arrived from out of town with an appetite for a casual lunch. OhLaLa had been a favorite & this visit exceeded expectations. A warm goat cheese salad, followed by sole meunière with sautéed zucchini. A white Burgundy closed the deal. Great kitchen, menu & staff. Don’t miss it.

Magnifique!

By EIIen |

We went for lunch. This is a wonderful neighborhood french bistro. The owner warmly greets people and the waitresses are exceptionally friendly. I had the potato leek soup, it was delicious, thick and well seasoned. I also had the salmon tartine, 3 toasts, with cream cheese, smoked salmon sprinkled with seasonings and dill. The whole experience reminded me of a little place in Paris, music was playing, the people at the next table were speaking French, the waitress was pleasant and delightful. We will return.

Lacking in ambience and service

By MominOC |

finally tried this place and found parking easy, ambience not as nice as expected and service rushed. Escargot was excellent, Betterave (beet) salad excellent and the Smoked Salmon board very good. I think once is enough.

Great Food

Visiting sister in Las Vegas. She wanted to check out this place she had heard good reports so we went one lunch time. It was so good we went back a couple of days later for dinner. We often struggle in the USA to find proper food. This is proper food. Keep up the good work. See you next visit!

This.place is a treat!

Delicious food, warm, friendly and professional service. Our first visit to this pretty little restaurant hidden in a shopping center. We shared the recommended appetizer of Jambon de Paris, saucisson, pâté, smoked duck, coppa, cornichons- for our party of 5-the pate was a favorite. Everyone enjoyed the salads and entrees they ordered. In particular my filet mignon with green peppercorn sauce was cooked to perfection.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!

We went there twice during our stay in Las Vegas, this is our place for our dinner!!!!!!Everything is excellent, bavette, burger, foie gras, oh my goodness, just very very good

Authentic French Bistro

By Yatriguru |

Had a very good lunch here. Good baguettes and a Lyonnaise salad were delicious. They have a typical French menu-- small but quite varied. Next, I will try theier Mussels. Will deinitely return.

Amazing Find

By KKretired |

We have eaten at Ohlala several times. The food is delicious and the service could not be better. You might want to try the mussels if you are into that type of food. They were scrumptious. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. They have only been open a few months but you really need reservations. They are very busy.

Great little spot

We had occasion to meet up with some old friends that we hadn't seen for years and they recommended this wonderful little French Bistro. They have a great selection of wine as well as a nice menu. Prices are reasonable. If you're in Vegas you should definitely give this a try. We'll be back for sure.

Hidden Gem

By swfarid |

I rarely write reviews, but little place is really worth it We wanted a French dinner and we found it highly recommended on Yelp and Tripadvisor. It was a fit far from the Strip, but we had a car. Parking was very very easy Everything was great, the food quality , variety of menu, speed of service, attention to the details and a good selection of wine The place is rather small but cosey. I think they deserve a much larger place Everything was tried from the menu was just perfect

Excellent

By westie2 |

One of the two best meals on our recently concluded 14 night vacation. We started off with a goat cheese tartine and a La Betterave (roasted beets with goat cheese, orange segments and vinaigrette). My wife hit a home run by ordering the sole meuniere (pan seared sole in brown butter sauce with garlic, capers, lemon and parsley) that was accompanied by crisp asparagus spears. I also fared well by ordering Bavette a L'Echalotte (flank steak with a red wine and shallot sauce) accompanied by crispy french fries. We concluded the meal with a delicious creme brulee though the texture was a little softer than we are accustomed to. Prices are very reasonable given the quality and service was excellent.

The name says it all

By Joel J |

Incredible meal. The owner has put together a highly functional team that is laser focused on providing the customer with an amazing meal. A little hard to find but definitely worth seeking it out. Everything from the wine selection to the daily specials, the chef and owner have put a great deal of thought into making this a truly French food experience. The octopus carpaccio special was some of the best I've have ever eaten. The traditional French Onion Soup is vegetarian without being pretentious about it. We aren't vegetarian but there are other vegetarian and vegan menu items clearly identified as well. This is NOT fast food, although if you are in a hurry, we witnessed the staff be overly accommodating, you should plan to be here, enjoying your meal and companions like a true French Bistro experience. The timing of our meal was relaxed yet timely. Definitely save room for dessert! We will definitely return.
