Fun and delicious

By SimplyBob |

What a great place to enjoy street tacos and cold Modelo draft! Plenty of large flat screen TVs to watch. I felt like I was in Mexico. It was fantastic.

Great place to watch a game.

Service was quick and beer was super cold! TVs are hung all over the place, and the place seems pretty clean. The girls aren't bad looking and checked on us frequently.

good food, slow service- appetizer came after the meal

By Foodie Flashpacker |

We stopped in Ojos Locos before a movie. It's good we had quite bit of time before the movie b/c the service was pretty slow. We waited quite bit before having our drink order taken and even longer before someone took our food order. Our appetizer actually came after our food which is odd b/c it was only chips and quest that we had ordered. I would have thought since they brought it so late, after I told them not to worry about bringing it at all since we already had our entrees, they would have removed the charge from our bill. Once we had our food the food tasted good so it wasn't all bad. Also, there was some sort of sporting even being broadcast that night and someone came around and told us that we had to pay $5 additional dollars to sit and eat in the dining room, even though we weren't there for the event, didn't even know something was being broadcast that night and hadn't been informed of it when we arrived. We told them we were leaving soon so they didn't end up charging us the $5 each. Ultimately, the food was ok and the rest wasn't all that great.

Lots of potential but then...

I walked into this bar super excited. I've heard of this place to be the Hispanic hooters. Mexican food and Hispanic beautiful women how awesome is that?! Walked in and it was just as expected. The environment was great, there was a nice wall covered in big screen HDTVs and just the overall scene was great. Sat down and looked at the menu and both drinks and food looked appealing. First five minutes were great! Next 10 minutes I was still waiting on a server. 5 minutes later after getting a waitresses attention she rudely said "not my table." 10 more minutes of unsuccessfully trying to get someone to serve us we left. Very dissapointed as I saw so much potential.

Interesting View

Just walked into this cute place and it was full of men. Looked around and saw why, scantily clad waitresses. BUT, these waitresses were outstanding and very pleasant! Had the nachos and they were awesome!

A good experience for tired travelers

My wife and I returned to Dallas after flying from the east coast. We were hungry but wanted something quick and simple. We went to Ojos Locos and found it to be a sports bar with good food, a cold beer, and reasonably quick service.

Lackluster with bad drinks

By Robert P |

Perhaps it just isn't my type of place. The waitress ignored me and the drink my buddy ordered was awful. I know I should have expected it to be Hispanic, but no TVs on baseball playoff games, in a sports bar, all of them on soccer in Spanish? I won't be back.

Far Exceeded My Expectations

By Phil |

When my friends chose this as our destination, I was really disappointed. I did not think I would enjoy it all. Thankfully I was wrong. The service was excellent and the food surprisingly good for bar food. My husband had the ceviche. He enjoyed it so much that he ordered a second serving. I had nachos, which were also good. I also had a couple of sangria margaritas that were really good and appropriately strong. While it is not fine dining, it is fun dining and we will return when in Dallas again.

Out of what??

They were out of so menue items so not sure where to start. Food was good but staff was slow and me frustrated. The food was good but the experience was average at best

Its a Bar With Bar Food - aka Hooters

By yellowpixels |

IF you like a bar scene more than food then this is your place. This is basically a Hooters - never saw a male waiter - with an attempt at providing more than fried food. Food is so-so and probably only served so they can claim to be a restaurant instead of a bar. The reason we went here is because the restaurant next door was so dirty and gross that we decided to try somewhere else. Results not great. Will never return. Too many acceptable restaurants in the area.

Only for sports

By Pauak |

To watch a game it may be a decent place as there is like a 1000 screens, but as a Mexican restaurant it really did not make the cut. The wings are not exciting, and it took like forever to get them, and the place was empty. The margarita's are good enough, and at a decent price ($5), but the Bloody Mary is not! Service slow, and the scarcely dressed waitresses are nothing spectacular (in any sense). Honestly, considering the competition out there I would move on to next on the list.

Soccer viewing extravaganza!

By Fred D |

Great place to watch soccer games. Their staff is very friendly and good looking as well. Their food is causal but delicious. All their drinks are excellent. I recommend their Michel Ladas.

Don't waste your time.

Lets see, me and a few friends went to this bar/restaurant I believe on a friday night. There was a few people but it took forever to get seated. It seemed like there were more policemen working there than wait staff. When we finally got a table it took them another fifteen minutes to take our drink orders. The service was so bad we finished our drinks, paid and left. That would be my first and last visit. I will say the drinks did not cost that much.

Similar to Hooters

Girls dressed very scantily. The food was average and overpriced. My husband enjoyed the Ceviche, his comment was

Great place

By Double D |

I really was amazed at the staff. 2 managers on the floor actually helping and not just standing around. Out waitress, Valerie, had a great personality and took very good care of us. The ceviche was very good with a good bite to it. The street tacos are a little small, but tasty. Good music and a clean establishment. I will be back!

No much to work with

By Veronica C |

There's not much to choose from off their menu. I choose the chicken fajitas, husband had the beef fajitas and my 2 little one had the nachitos. The fajitas and ranchero beans were good. The rice had no flavor at all. My kids didn't touch thier plates. Their nachos were 4 little round chips with beans and cheese. I guess this place is made more for being the bar scene than a restaurant.

Authentic!

By bdawg |

Surprised that we were the only non-hispanic folks in the entire restaurant -- even TV's were in Spanish. The street tacos were delicious!

Food is ok, but they seem focus on the waitstaff not on food or service

By ctzgtomx |

The tortilla soup is really good, the food overall is ok to good depending on what you order. prices are ok. Lot of tv to watch your favorite sport; but it seems to me that the waitstaff believes people come there to see them. Well some of us are hungry, and some of us want to watch a sporting event. I think they need to combine their service with their food and mix it up and come up with a great experience. Otherwise people leave with a feeling of a mixture of playboy mansion with taco service.

Not Worth a Return Visit

By DianneK |

Ojos Locos is a Hooter's style Mexican restaurant. The wait staff was distracted, the music was loud at times, and there was an annoying fly or two that would not go away. The queso was the only part of the meal that I can recommend. The tacos I got and the quesadillas that my husband ordered were okay but nothing more. It was a bit bland and uninviting overall.

That was DELICIOUS!

By Ron L |

Not often I rate a Mexican style restaurant five stars But I just finished the "Stacked chicken green chile enchiladas". Of course your could cover just about any food in green chile and I would like it but this was excellent! Full of flavor with rice and obviously made here refried beans. At $7.95 it's a bargain. They charge you $2.95 fork chips and salsa but the chips came right out of the fryer, very hot, and the salsa was fresh made, very nice flavor. This is a mixed sports bar, grub joint and it was quite noisy but I was here Halloween evening. Loved the costumed young ladies! I counted 31 large screen TV's playing various games. I'm sure I missed a few. On my return list!

Ripoff

In our table, our waitress aside from below average service, she tried tipping herself more than she shouldnt have and claimed it was a mistake. She saw i didnt wanna hear it. Guess she saw we were drinking heavy and might get away with it. I was born at night but not last night. I honestly dont recommend this place because there are tons more spots out there with much much better service and what most guys go for prettier girls. Just my 2 cents. Oh and another girl tipped herself 60 bucks for a picture with my friend which I thought was too advantageous of a guy that had 1 too many beers.. just beware if you go is all.

This restaurant opened my eyes--by a naive tourist to Dallas.

I didn't know that this restaurant encourages females to dress scantily. Had I know I wouldn't have gone. Come on ladies, ever heard that you are emancipated? Once there music and food was good.

Great Breastauant

By Sheryl J |

This is a Latino version of hooters. They have a sports bar atmosphere with lots of pretty, mostly young, Latino ladies in scantly clad clothing. Lot of men here, so ladies if you want to meet men this is place to go.

I was told its the Mexican version of Hooters with a so called bouncer @ the door requesting ID's. What a joke!!

By Sylvia G |

So I had never been & was invited by several friends. I decided 2 go & approached door with a male friend. 2 my surprise a man was @ the door asking 4 ID's to enter a restaurant. I figured it was bcs it was the weekend & after 1am. So the so called bouncer takes my ID & immediately says, "She can go in but not you." We both looked @ each other like really. Clearly we r 2gthr. So does he think I'm staying & having my male friend leave. My friend then asked what the problem was & bouncer tells him he is clearly intoxicated, reeks of alcohol & for that reason can't come in. Mind u my friend was not intoxicated nor did he reek of alcohol as he claimed. Plus if that were the case why would u let the female in & not the male. My friend also told him no harm done but could not believe he was not being allowed in. He even tried shaking the bouncers hand but apparently that was not a good gesture either. Told my friend it was illegal for him 2 b out that way & to remove him self from premises. By then my friends, friends arrived & were upset at how this bouncer was over reacting. They kept telling him that our friend was not drunk as he claimed. Bouncer was not having it & called supervisor as well as threatened to call police. Now a good business would have called police immediately if in fact an individual is as intoxicated as they are claiming. Plus again it made no sense for him to say the female could go in but not the male. I was embarrassed for my friend & for that reason will not recommend much less spend any money in an establishment that picks & choses who comes in to their establishment. Maybe they had to many males already & were in need of more females. Smdh

Amazing service

By David C |

The enviroment is fun and energetic! As soon as i was seeted i was greeted and asked what i wanted to drink and appetizer choice no waiting around for another employee to take my order.. I had the street tacos and the 100oz draft beer which was really cheap in price and ice cold food was amazing..

Nice Sports Bar

By Pete N |

When I explain this place to friends I tell them this is like the hispanic Hooters but a lot better food, mexican food of course. The girls are beautiful and the beer is COLD !!! Highly recommend for the guys and I have always seen couples there too.

Hot Tap Beers

By RobertRAH-64 |

Stopped in to have a few cold ones and when the beers arrived they were hot. We told the waitress and she brought us more glasses. Guess what? Hot beers. Could have figured that one out before they were poured. We finally had to tell her to give us some bottles out of the ice bin.

Not a great Experience

By DeepBlueDives |

Although the outside looks enticing, the rest of the establishment has a long way to go. I will admit that I am not the targeted clientele for this place. It's basically a large sports bar, where very few people speak English. Alot of TV's, ample seating, and definitely the place to go if you want international soccer events etc. We had a very nice server who was happy to practice her English on us. She did the best she could. The food was Bar Type quality (think Austin Avenue Grill), and the prices were not in line with the quality.

Tacos Al Pastor the best around

By JustMyTwoCentsWorth |

I think the "girls in tiny outfits" gimmick is unfortunate, but I guess it's part of their schtick. I'm not writing to rate them (luckily for them). But Ojos Locos has the best tacos around! I love the food and it's fun to watch games or sports highlights on some of their many large screen TVs. Again, the tacos are awesome. I usually end up getting a bunch of Tacos Al Pastor because I think they're so good, but many of the other types of tacos are delicious, too.

Drinks and Apps

By Ray A |

Met a friend of mine here for drinks and apps. Place is filled with TVs which is great for sports! drinks were made well and the apps were tasty. Staff was fun and friendly.

Decent food, cold beer, great atmosphere. Great place for a business lunch or after hours drink. If your going for the food you got the wrong idea. Google Images

Mexican Hooters

By Tramp116 |

nothing like seeing a pregnant waitress in a bikini top. Mmmmm!! NOT!!! This place is a sports bar with a Mexican flavor. Hooters has better food.

Not a family restaurant

By Cheryl H |

Visited early Friday evening with a family member. The wait staff were professional & the food was ok. But the noise was deafening & the wait staff were not dressed for families.

Hmmm lingerie ?? Really ?

By allabouttellingit31 |

So unfortunately we were stuck eating here on valentines day due to poor planning but the food was good - I just wasn't happy eating valentines dinner here while watching the waitresses in lingerie - we had our 3 year old with us. The service was good and food was good - the shrimp cocktail was worth the money and the Wing sauce was great

Mexicn version of hooters

By Eltzi |

In general I did not like the place. Very mexican, just mexican and probably tex-mex food. Overall, I wont take anybody there.

Great for the Guys

By Patricia R |

We went here with some friends for Happy Hour. The beer was cold. It was fun but the shots were weak and over priced! If you looking for a value, this is not the place. The food was average.

Like a Hispanic Hooters will not disappoint.

By ramirezeric470 |

Everything was amazing , fresh food , cold beer , lots of Tv’s everywhere, the place was at capacity that night I went because of a UFC Fight and soccer game, so the service wasn’t 10/10 but maybe 7.5/10 still no complaints.
