By Jose J |

Traditional portuguese restaurant in South Miami. Good service and good portuguese cuisine. Fish Branzino is good. I will recommend this place.

Delivered!

By HisOpinion1212 |

I read the reviews about this place when was looking for portugeze food in Miami. This place truly delivered. Great food. The sardine and octopus appetizers were great with taste that brought back memories. The entre and the soup were also great. The service was very attentive. Will definitely go back.

Dinner in hell

By Judy G |

In Sunny isles Miami new Old Lisbon Terrible service - 1 hour and a half 1.30 hr To get appetizer And. Main dish follows Cold!!! No excuse- actually the manager gave us hell Restaurant was not full Hardly English speaking stuff Judy

Change in recipe - very disappointing

By MarthC |

They used to have one of my favorite dishes in the world - bacalhau com natas - but they have changed the recipe and now you get a lot of what it seems mashed potato + potato and not a lot of cod. Very sad. Bring back the old recipe please!

Wonderful Cod many ways

By Road Warrior |

Cod done right, lots of choices and large portions. Friendly service in a nice space. You can’t go wrong at the place!

Delicious food!

By Danielle S |

My husband and my grandson ordered steak and it was outstanding. I ordered the fish and it was kinda bland but the shrimp on top of the fish were wonderful. It is pricey, and the service is very European - they do not rush you here, they let you take your time and eat, and drink, and easily take two hours for dinner. The side dishes were very good, the appetizers were delicious (ham and cheese plate, Portuguese sausage). We couldn't fit another thing in for dessert, but they all looked good...

Amazing Portuguese Cuisine.

By Jose3349 |

We loved the food , the seafood is great . Our Waiter was very attentive. We enjoyed our Dinner experience Highly recommended if you are looking for off the beat place.

very good!

By R. K. V. |

This place is always a treat- its less intimate that it once was and like everything else its become more expensive- but its still very good food and reasonable value

Great food and service, atrocious charging practices

By AShvartsburg |

The food was very tasty with real good portions, the service attentive and prompt. This would be a five-star review if not for atrocious billing practices. In the order of increasing severity: (1) the price of specials is not listed and is substantially above that of other items on the menu. That is a minor subterfuge common for many places, of course, (2) mandatory "cash gratuity" is added to the bill automatically, which is not stated in the menu. This is flat wrong, although I realize not uncommon in better Miami places given the lack of grasp of US tipping practices by European visitors, (3) the tip of 20 - 30% is suggested (with line below and amounts given) ON TOP of the above "cash gratuity." I would have shrugged off the (1) and (2) with mild annoyance, but the audacity of (3) is truly breathtaking. Numerous restaurants in Miami offer comparably good food and service without engaging in such deceptive practices.

Amazing food

By Francisco A |

I never expected to have such a delicious meal, the octopus was tender an very well seasoned, the seafood fejioada (beans) was a incredible surprise, one of the best places in MIAMI

Rude server overpriced food

By fairandbalance |

Food had fancy names but presentation and culinary quality was marginal at best The one aspect that was well below expectations was the rude NonEnglish speaking waitress which acted as if she was doing us a favor by serving us. The manager/owner came by when we first arrived to welcome us but went MIA once the service went south. We asked to speak with him but the rude waitress said he was busy and not available. Very disappointed and will not return. The name old Lisbon is an insult to anyone who has actually spent any time in Lisbon which has some of the most enticing cuisine in the world. Save time and money, if you must have seafood Long John Silvers is a much better choice.

Excellent!

By Lourdes C |

I have dined at this restaurant numerous times and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing. The octopus is exceptional. The feijoada is also amazing as is the seafood paelha. I highly recommend you visit soon.

Very good authentic portugiese kitchen

By Rennschnecke22 |

We had dinner with any courses their. Starters were top , the seafood plate for two was very good and so big that we could‘nt eat all. Prices for wine, water, etc. were acceptable- dishes for serving the food were cold! Service, athmosphere was very good- Good choice to come back to get more from this authentic kitchen.

Excellent price performance and authentic European food.

By YngveLindvig |

Despite the traffic outside this is a must visit restaurant on Miami beach. Real taste of authentic European food that delivers what they promise. Excellent price performance. we tasted 4 different things an they all were good.

I was not happy, the dish I ordered very bad, commented that it was not good, pure taste of tomato tin !!

By Rosanna B |

The nice restaurant, the dish I ordered, very bad aubergines parmesan!!! Pure tin tomato flavor I said it, I didn't eat it and they still charged it!!!

Poor service ever

By Junior L |

We are in a large group and we had a bad service a ever had in my life. Food was good but if you are in a party don’t go

Que Beleza Comida!

By Lois P |

Wonderful food! Servers were friendly. Lovely decor Made me want to visit Portugal! Prices a little steep, but worth every penny.

Always quality food and great service

By Elba F |

Always quality food and services. My family has been lunch and dinner in this restaurant. Service is outstanding. Bacalao con Natas and croquetas are my favorites but menu is extensive with chicken, beef, veal and of course portugués stile “bacalao”cod fish. I highly recommend this restaurant for romantic dinner or a family celebration. Just right for bussines lunch.

My First Portuguese Dinner

By eileenpc51 |

While driving around Miami, my husband and I decided to be adventurous and try something new for dinner. We came upon Old Lisbon Restaurant and figured we would give it a try. I had 2 appetizers. One was a potato sausage soup and the other was a spicy shrimp dish. Although I had nothing to compare the soup to, I would say it was ok. The shrimp were very good. Nice and large. My husband had the Grilled Snapper Fillet with Shrimp served with Garlic Sauce, steamed Potatoes and Vegetable. It was delicious. The meal was a bit pricey, but it was good.

A slice of Portugal in North Miami

By TEJO1969 |

Old Lisbon sure knows how to treat their guests. We arrived with a party of 9 and were immediately greeted and seated. We were provided with the chef’s specials and ordered our beverages which were promptly served. The menu is full of choices of great, traditional, Portuguese dishes. BTW, being full blooded Portuguese, I and picky about my Portuguese food. I have to tell you. The food was excellent. The portions were incredible (lol - Portuguese expect large portions). The flavors spot on. The rice and seafood dish for two that we ordered could of fed 4! Oh, by the way, they have a small parking lot right next to the restaurant. Prices are moderate and pretty good for Miami! Try it next time you are looking for a great dinner or are visiting Miami. You won’t regret it!!

Excellence

By Gugleando |

Been to this restaurant several times. Always had Bacalhau dishes. Prices have been adjusted up more than I would have wanted, but the service is still tops! This time I ordered their Octupus dish (about $30.00); although pricy, it was simply outstanding. The House Wine with the restaurant label is great; it is especially bottled for them from Portugal. We had Vinho Verde and would probably repeat it in the future. This restaurant is a gem in Miami... with an knowledgeable and professional staff

Simply Outstanding

By Rcr883 |

I went with for a business lunch which was about the best I have ever had. Superb wine, excellent appetizers and a great main of lamb. Everything was fresh, tasty and plenty of it. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great quality of food

By Dina L |

It was my first time trying Portugais food,i have to admit that all we have ordered (we were 4) was very good . I had a steak (was great),my husband had sardines (great ) the other couple had paella (great ) and sardines as well . The only thing for me was a choice of wine , i didnt like any of them ,but i still got a glass of red (i chose the most expensive 🤣) but i still didn’t appreciate it so much .

Old Lisbon up in smoke once again.

By Virginia A |

We have been going to this Old Lisbon restaurant for 20+ years (even before it burned down!). We moved away from Miami last year and came back to visit friends and to have dinner at what used to be one of our favorite restaurants. No more! The bacalau croquettes were mostly flour. The “bacalau a la nata” was dried, a much smaller portion than what we were used to. Mostly full of mozzarella cheese and the cod fish was dried and sparse. Just a couple of potatoes… What a disappointment! The vino verde came in a small cup, half the size it used to be. In other words, they are trying to squeeze every ounce of money out of the client with the minimum quality. My husband’s cod fish had the skin attached to it and so many bones it was practically inedible. So sorry to see this happen! Even worse, when we called the owner to offer our constructive criticism, he rebuffed us aggressively. For us, Old Lisbon has burned for good!

GREAT PLACE

By Howie L |

Great Porteguese food at a great price. The service is always great. I suggest that you try the grilled sardines and any dish with the Bacala. Take your time and enjoy and savor the meal.

Excellent restaurant

By Ramen163 |

Last time I was here was before it caught fire couple of years ago, during that time I went a couple of times to the one in Sunset Ave, South Miami, different location with the same quality of food and service. Yesterday we were discussing where to go and I proposed Old Lisbon, at 1:30 we were there, ready for lunch. While we waited for another partner in crime, we ordered Sardinhas, of course they were delicious! The house wine, a white one that's the portuguese equivalent to the spaniard ribera del Duero was the one the waiter recommended and he wasn't wrong at all. Octopus and Cod were our choices and they were just superb, I'm an octopus fan and this one, I should say, is the best in Miami, even better than Mandolino's, in Wynwood. More wine and then the dessert, red wild fruits and creme, unable to explain how good it was, just go and order it. It was not a lunch but a happening, a culinary experience to repeat and soon! Congratulation to Carlos and his team!

Bait and Switch

By Eric S |

I called at 226 pm sept 12 2020 to reserve a table for the Miami Spice lunch with Monique a waitress. When I was seated at about 245pm Monique and another male waiter announced the lunch was over at 2pm and that they are now only serving dinner. I protested and showed them my time stamped Phone call at 226pm 15 minutes before and they refused to honor my reservation for lunch. These bad business practices and abuse of the customers should not be tolerated. Take your business elsewhere. This is a bad restaurant. Eric S.

Portuguese Perfection

By JMH101 |

Our group of seven dined here last night for the first time. We started with tasty appetizers of grilled octopus, tender mussels and baked eggplant. Our seafood entrees were just as delicious as the ones we had in Portugal. We also had two very good bottles of wine that were very reasonable. For dessert we had Chocolate Mousse and the Caramel Pudding with Port Wine. Also very good. The service was exceptional. We would definitely go back the next time we’re in Miami.

Salty!!!

By Steve S |

I have a salted cod, but fresh cod, WTF? The whole m$eal from thm the cod to the cuttlefish was salty! Why??? The wine, olive oil,m atmosphere, and ser ice were great

top restaurant in miami

By cupidct |

what a surprise one of the top restaurants in Miami and you feel like your eating in Portugal. The prices are inexpensive as well. Enjoyable comfort food

Great Portuguese-style cod fish

By p0ntual |

Old Lisbon is probably the best Portuguese restaurant in the Miami area, particularly if you are looking for grilled or baked cod fish. My family and I have been there several times.

Excellent place for a date!

By Michael K |

The food is tops! Eating here was an honor. We were welcomed upon entry! We were treated like royalty. The seafood was extremely fresh. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I would eat here twice a day if I could.

Sunday lunch

By Eaespin |

I have not been to this restaurant in more than 20 years. The food and the service remains superb and that is something not common in Miami where restaurants change hands quickly or decline pretty fast

Old Lusbon

By Michael Brain Parker |

Fantastic, the service was excellent and the food so good. I Hope to go back soon. If you in Florida it’s worth the drive to est cod.

Good Portuguese Food

By Joao C |

It was nice to scape from the Latin America and Italian food that caracterize the majority of restaurants in Miami. The service was very good and always present. Food was good although the Bitoque was different than it is in Portugal. So, overall a great experience and nice atmosphere. Recommended!!

A very good Portuguese option.

By ChiefWolf |

A very good Portuguese option. We had sardines to start. We ordered cod fish which is one of the most typical Portuguese dishes. It was good but could have been better. We had grilled octopus which was outstanding. The service was very good, personable, and friendly. They will go out of their way to ensure your food is well done and their service is quick. We will return.

Authentic Portuguese cuisine

By GigiVV |

Best grilled octopus. We love the codfish croquets, baked sardines, sausage, codfish bragas. The pudding is the best, with a splash of port wine!

Birthday dinner 🍲

By Santiago Cela |

Excelent service… the cod was fabulous… the green wine also excellent and the desserts… Uff 🤤… without words

A CULINARY ADVENTURE

By Miles Archer |

My wife and I came for lunch shortly after opening. We got a parking spot on the street. The restaurant got busy while we dined. We love cod. There are so many cod dishes on the menu. We shared an octopus appetizer and a cod entrée, with grilled cod. We has a Portuguese white wine that our server recommended. Very tasty food, which the wine blended with nicely. Pleasant ambiance.

Sunset location better

By FKC53 |

Sunset location better Small size of grilled cod at lunch and needed more cooking Bacalhau à Brás not as good as the one in Sunset

Portuguese Tapas above and beyond my palette

By Dr. Javy Medina |

An experience worth having. We had tapas, octopus, calamari, and linguisa. As well as Vinho Verde, Muralhas De Monçã. The restaurant ambiance was just tight, noise level was slightly higher than anticipated. Our servers were very attentive to our palate desires.

Portuguese Cod’a galore

By Alberto M |

The service staff is very attentive and there’s delicious cod made in various authentic Portuguese styles. The seafood rice was rich in flavor and plentiful. Their sausage is tasteful and the grilled sardines are wonderful. Will definitely come back again.

Good good. Disappointing service

By Tyler B |

My wife loved the sardines and the grilled octopus. I had a chance to try salted cod for the first time and enjoyed it. Large serving sizes and easy to find parking. Our only disappointment was having 10 waiters walk by our table and look at us and not refill my wife’s drink. Sangria was good.

Great Seafood

By Husong L |

I order two appetizers-codfish and octopus: and one main entree-mixed seafood dish. Seafood is fresh and tasty, and service is great.

Always a super place to have dinner

By Carlen01 |

My spouse and I enjoy the Paelha à Marinheira (rice with lobster, clams, shrimp, mussels and squid) and seem to order the same dish 9 out of 10 times. Pleasant service and the appetizers are good.

NO DISCUSSION: one of the best restaurants in the Miami area

By Diego T |

Attentive service, excellent food and good wines.Nothing is CHEAP here but the prices are matched by the superb quality of the cuisine. Very good fish and seafood,,good beef and very tasty desserts (if they have the "cocada" creme brulee do not hesitate and order this wonderful dessert !).. The wines -even the lower priced ones - are very good. And the service friendly and effective (main courses may take a while to arrive but it is worthwhile to WAIT !).

First class Portuguese cuisine at this fine restaurant

By Jane L |

Starting with the excellent valet parking to make our experience wonderful, we headed into this lovely old world restaurant with crisp white tablecloths, professional waiters, and diners from Portugal and around the world. We shared a Portuguese stew that was wonderful. I had a glass of Albariño white with my calamari appetizer that was perfectly grilled in a flavorful broth. One slight problem was that the tables were situated very close to one another, which added to the noise level. Otherwise, we had a beautiful evening at the Old Lisbon.

Old Lisbon

By 387indy |

The decor reminds you of Portugese, its a neighborhood restaurant, parking, a good staff and lots of fish on the menu. We enjoyed our dinner.

Yummy Seafood

By jamusaba |

We were a party of four and thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Old Lisbon. The octopus appetizer was especially tasty and the seafood platter for two was complete with lobster, mussels, shrimp, squid, salmon and more. I enjoyed the filet of snapper and the salmon was also cooked right and delicious. The service quality was excellent and we were quickly seated in an area where tables were sufficiently spaced to encourage conversation and comfort. Overall, i consider the prices reasonable in relation to the fine quality of the food preparation and ambience.

Lovely Ambiance!

By Patricia F |

We had a great visit to Old Lisbon Restaurant In Sunny Isles. We have been to Portugal twice and fell in love with the food. So to find this place was a real treat!!!! And we were not disappointed!!!! Everything was great!!

Excellent food, waiters needs to be more knowledgeable about Portuguese and wine food

By Gipsy777 |

Great food. Some dishes are marked as a Portuguese food and they are more Brazilian. Wine selection is addressed to a tourist crowd more than local. Waiters need to be more knowledgeable. The food is excellent.

Expensive option with regular service

By Jaime Diaz |

Menu and quality of food is good, but it’s extremely expensive especially taking into consideration that the service is very bad. We went on a Sunday and it seemed they were understaffed as it was hectic. I felt like they wanted us out quickly. I’m not coming back, at all.

Great Portuguese fair

By snooknnn |

We went to old Lisbon for lunch in May. Our lunch begin with freshly baked bread. We ordered two entrées. One was pork and the other was seafood. The food was good but had a little too much oil for our taste the service was outstanding. I highly recommend the sangria

Extremely disappointing

By Bella32767 |

We tried this restaurant as a recommendation from acquaintances. We are from New England where there are a lot of authentic Portuguese restaurants but we have never tried any in this area. This place is very nicely decorated and it does have excellent service even though we did wait longer than usual for our meal the waiters were still attentive by offering us more bread and water. When our food finally arrived it was fresh and hot BUT....I ordered the cod fish simmered in a tomatoe broth with peppers and onions and it was soooo salty it was inedible. I was too shy to send it back but was so mad at myself afterwards for not doing so. Both the broth and the fish were too salty to eat. Another person in my party ordered the eggplant in tomatoe. The tomatoe sauce was delicious (and that's coming from an Italian) but the eggplant was not completely cooked, which makes it chewy. Another person ordered a grilled chicken dish and the chicken was so tough, probably from however they cooked it. I would not recommend this restaurant. Even though the portions are large, if you are not enjoying the meal what good is it. Plus it's expensive.

Good basic food

By maximosaravi |

Had cod and a tomato and mozzarella appetizer. The wine menu needs and upgrade in my opinion, more by-the-glass better options. Service was regular, perhaps because I arrived late at night.

portugal is here

By Miguel L |

Very Good Food

By neda9065 |

Great food, great service!

By Alfred R |

We have gone to Old Lisbon in the past, however, the fine food in this restaurant, keeps one wanting to go back!

I didin't like it

By Massimo F. |

staff very gently, but the food was floating on greasy oil....portions are too big make a lit bit sick to see all this food in one dish

Excellent Seafood

By BSolom |

After entering this white-table clothed restaurant, we were seated at a nice table by the window and served a bottle of water and basket of perfect crispy sourdough rolls with peppery olive oil. The service was impeccable. We ordered the first seafood dish for two on the menu which was a huge rectangular casserole filled with delicious shrimp, calamari, mussels and claims over rice, a similar huge round dish with seafood over white beans, and the grilled cod with potatoes, While traditional, the cod was the least inspiring. The other two dishes were excellent.

Consisently good

By fun2travel514 |

I am now confident enough to bring special out-of-town guests to Old Lisbon. Yes, Miami has fancier, more renown places to eat , but my guest and I agreed that you could not find a better meal, more convivial staff, and comfortable atmosphere than right here at the Old Lisbon. We felt encouraged to take our time and work through appetizer, salad, wine and our main entrée, without being rushed or harassed. Having parking in the back is also a great convenience.

Authentic Portuguese

By John D |

This is one of the best, and only, places to get authentic Portuguese food in Miami. The food we tried was all excellent and reasonably priced. The young waitstaff worked as a team and was attentive and accomodating. The only complaint I had was that despite the fact the restaurant was half empty on this Thursday night, they seemed to be in a rush to turn the table. Specifically, while two of us were still eating they took away the plates of the other two diners and boxed up their leftovers and put the plastic bags on the table. So we had two people with meals in front of them and two people with plastic bags. They could have waitedf 5 minutes for us to finish. Still , I would go back. They have a parking lot which is nice and not so common in this area.

Very food but....

By envy4u |

Very nice ambiance. Staff attentive. First 4 bottles of wine we asked about were out of stock. Waiter brought over a bottle and said “you will like this”. It was 48.00 :( Food was very good. I had the rice with mixed fish. My husband had the baccala. We had 2 custard tarts for dessert. Waiter brought over port wine at end of meal as compensation for lack of wine which was very thoughtful. Will return.

The best Bacalao ever

By Yvet2015 |

I always want to try the variety of yummy dishes...yet their Bacalao in tomato sauce is soooooo good I cannot Not have it every time I go. I also most enjoy having a port wine here. Deciding what dessert to have is not easy (all really good as well)...and the service and guidance towards selections is outstanding. I recommend this place for both special ocassions and for the everyday.

Sunday lunch

By Carfia143 |

Delicious and very fresh seafood dishes. The sangria was perfectly chilled and very refreshing. The staff was very attentive and very polite.

Dinner

By Sabor6 |

The place is really nice. The Decour and the arrangements are quite refreshing. Service was prompt and the food was very delicious. We both had a three-course meal. The olive oil they have there is about the best I’ve ever had.

Good service. Food was ok

By Hiro Ide |

I shared the Paella for two with my mom. It was very well-served, and the seafood was great. But, overall, it seemed to me that it lacked spicing. The Pasteis de Nata were good, maybe the best I had outside of Portugal. Service was good.

Amazing clams!

By Morella |

We were 5 friends having dinner who decided to share several dishes. We tried the clams appetizer, the seafood rice, the eggplant with potatoes and the shredded codfish prepared with fries. The flavor of the clams was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Can’t stress that enough. Perfect pairing with the warm bread they serve. Clams alone are worth the visit. The seafood rice was pretty good. If you’re accustomed to the Spanish paella it is not the same azafrán-based flavor, but it is very good nonetheless. Plenty of seafood in it: mussels, squid, shrimp and even lobster. The eggplant comes with a side order of perfectly baked potatoes squares. Unique combination; we liked it too. For dessert we shared a meringue...can’t remember the exact name but it is not to be missed. What a nice surprise of flavor and lightness. The Portuguese beer was good too. Less alcohol than usual, which we particularly liked.

A Trip to Portugal without leaving Miami

By Waltfab |

My friend and I were down in Miami for the Marlins – Yankees game. To avoid the traffic we came down several hours early. My friend who is from Portugal suggested we go for a late lunch/early dinner at one of his favorite restaurants: Old Lisbon Restaurant. Boy am I glad we did! The restaurant is located on a corner so there are plenty of windows and natural lighting. The Decour was very nice with white linens and tablecloths. However, it was the food that impressed me the most. My friend got an octopus dish with boiled potatoes and some vegetables. He was in his glory because it brought him back to his days living in Portugal. I was in a bit of a seafood mood as well. However, I was totally unprepared for the bowl of food that was to come to my table. My dish came with lobster, salmon, Seabass, Florida shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels and clams. All served with some boiled potatoes and a fantastic white wine sauce. I am a big eater and I couldn’t even eat half of it. All of the seafood was cooked perfectly which I am always impressed with because of the different cooking times of each item. We shared a couple bottles of the house red wine and some Pellegrino. I would have loved to have tried one of their desserts I saw in the case behind me, but I had to throw in the towel and admit defeat as I couldn’t even finish dinner. I thought the prices were very reasonable considering the amount and quality of food we received. I cannot wait until my next trip to Miami so I can go back and try a few of their other classics. Old Lisbon restaurant has three locations throughout the greater Miami area. I hope someone can convince the owner to expand into Broward or Palm Beach county so I can visit more often.

Best cod dishes in Miami

By Rolando N |

Romantic and upscale, we go to this place when we want great European seafood dishes. If you like cod, this is your place, but everything in this place is good, including the vinho verde which pairs perfectly with the seafood dishes.

The best Portuguese Cod in Miami

Great Grilled Octupus

By Jose J |

Great grill octupus in this traditional portugues restaurant.the house wine is nice and the branzino is good.

A favorite in Miami

By PDC0625 |

I have been to Old Lisbon restaurants on many occasions. At first I went to the original location on Coral Way but then to the newer location in South Miami. Both are outstanding. I have never been disappointed. The service is excellent -- very friendly, the restaurant is clean and comfortable. If you like Portuguese food, this is the real deal, the same as what you would expect to find in Portugal.

My first visit

By Zena25 |

I will not go again , it was not my cup of tea plus it was pricey for average food, not what I expected at all , but the waiter and ambience was good .

Authentic

By Linda C |

Service was good, food was mediocre re. Odd that the fish was not good as we live in Sunny Isles Beach

A perfect place with good food and friendly people

By Catalina M |

One of the best restaurant from Sibiu. With a cozy and friendly atmosphere, vegetarian friendly menu, friendly people and good prices. I recommend this place!

Beautiful

By TWSAW |

Wonderful restaurant. The grilled Pulpo (Octopus) and grilled sardines were so delicious. Service was attentive and professional. Love this place!

An unexpected surprise.

By Mich F |

Stumbled into New Lisbon when my attorney had to re schedule our meeting at his office for later on. Therefore, I walked in for lunch. Wow, what a fantastic place, the service, food quality, flavor, just flawless. Prices are very reasonable. Very pleasant and fulfilling experience.

The best meal I had in Miami

By Flávia P |

Perfect place: great combination of service, environment and food! Since the appetizer until the dessert the food was delicious! We had bolinho de bacalhau as appetizer and you can share with 3 people! We had the bacalhau as main course and pastéis de nata as desert. The Douro wine was perfect! I could not have decided better about the place!

Had delivery. Underwhelming.

By Jak-cra |

Used grubhub to order. Delivery guy called 6 minutes out to see if I would be in lobby or he had to bring up. I went down and waited out front. He couldn’t hand the food to me fast enough. No silver ware provided. Didn’t give me time to check or ask for before he sped off. It seems to be a problem with food delivery al over. Ok, if I’m in a hotel I do not have silverware. Clue. The Portuguese salad was boring. A regular salad. The olives had pits. I was hoping for a great Mediterranean carrot salad. The sautéed Sandines were good, but again pitted olives. Maybe better at the restaurant, rather than delivery, but I’ll pass on a second try.

Excellent food, wide selection of fine Portuguese wines and ports

By Wanda C |

The food is delicious. Portions are huge! For starters we ordered the cod fritters which are served with black eyed peas and then we shared a Feijoada de Marisco. We were in heaven!! In my opinion this is one of the BEST restaurants in Miami. We enjoyed it so much that we will stop in Miami on our way from the Florida Keys to Georgia so we can enjoy this place one more time during our vacations. We will definitely stop by Old Lisbon every time we come back to Miami.

Great food and service

By Wagner |

We had sardines as appetizers, cod fish as the main dish and green wine, all typical Portuguese dishes. The food was amazing, the wine great and the service very good! I definitely recommend! Need to return to try different dishes.

The best Portuguese food in Miami

By Flori2000 |

We have been dining in this restaurant for the past 17 years. Never disappointed. Excellent food, traditional Portuguese cuisine, great service, honest prices. If you like fish abs seafood, this will be your place too. The ambience is nice, simple and cozy, very family oriented. You can take your noise friends, celebrate anniversary and birthdays, it is ok. You will find lots of Brazilians in this place, they love Portuguese food, it is very popular in Brazil.

Real deal!

By Rocbottom5 |

This has been one of our favorites for a long time. I’ve always thought the food was delicious which has always kept us coming back. The only thing was that never having been to Portugal I wasn’t sure how authentic it was. Now having traveled to Portugal and having had the chance to sample the very same dishes in the homeland I can say this place is as authentic as it gets. Next time we go I’ll have a new found appreciation but the food is so good even if it wasn’t authentic I’d keep coming back.

Authentic Portugese

By LourdesClark |

Execellent authentic Portugese food. The service was very pleasant and server was very knowledgeable! The location is very central and quiet.

Fantastic Food

By AlCosta71 |

The portions of food were huge!! The staff was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is great. If seafood is your thing this is the place.

Mostly fish restaurant in Miami

By baruj s |

I should start this review by stating that I don’t particularly like fish. But my wife wanted to try the food at Old Lisbon and so we went one night in June. Perhaps not the best month to eat fish. Anyway, I personally dislike the smell of fried fish and the restaurant was filled with that smell. Perhaps the fish there is good but on account of the smell I was inclined to give the restaurant 4 stars. If you like fish maybe you should try it

Low Quality

Do not order the “Bacalhau com Natas”, neither the “Caldeirada de Peixes e Mariscos”. The “Bacalhau com Natas is basically made with mashed potato e pieces of potatoes only. There’s no Bacalhau, or almost nothing added to the dish. Our Caldeirada de peixes had more potatoes than anything else and the potatoes tasted like they were a little spoiled. Felt like the manager didn’t appreciate our complaint, but at least he gave us a new order of Bacalhau com Natas “to go” and said that he asked the chef to add extra bacalhau to the dish this time! 😕

Delicious

If you like the cod, Old Lisbon is the perfect place to go. Try one of the green wines and the grilled octopus. Nice service and excellent location in the middle of Sunset.

Exceptional as usual. Very good and very authentic. Not cheap but excellent value for the money considering the quality

Friendly service and good food

By Gary S |

This restaurant is a local classic for Portuguese food that has been around for many years.    We started with the Bolinhos de Bacalhau or codfish croquettes for appetizers.  They were refreshingly chock full of codfish, unlike many places which over use mashed potato as filler leaving hardly any codfish. The restaurant offers a variety of mostly seafood dishes but Bacalhau or codfish is the centerpiece and you’ll definitely want to try it.  We had two dishes for our main course and both were more than healthy portions.  The Bacalhau con Natas or codfish au gratin was delicious with lots of shredded codfish and not too much potato in a creamy sauce with baked cheese on top.  Our second dish was the Feijoada de Marisco which was equally as good. Served in a huge bowl, overflowing with seafood in a white bean stew, this dish could easily serve two it was that large. Although they have a number of items on the dessert menu, we were too full this visit to try any of them. Note: if you are driving, look for the free off street parking behind the restaurant.

Incredible they told me not to come again for 30 cents

By jada1924 |

I went to the restaurant which I like and often go, we were a table of 6 people and the check arrived with an included tip of 20% which I did not object even though the girl that serviced us was not attentive at all, the service was performed by Pancho the water guy. I saw the bill and it was 430.xx , I didi not have my glasses so I only saw the 430 in big numbers. So I paid cash 430 with included like 70 dollars a s the 20% imposed tip. Second after the girl comes saying that the money is not correct, I said I counted it twice, she said there are 30 cents missing and that I have to pay the full amount. For 30 cents I was aggravated in Old Lisbon. The other girl that was like the hostess / cashier told me that if I can not pay I should not come again !!!! Very distasteful people after not performing a great service, charging 20% tip and humiliate a customer for 30 cents and tell him not to come again. wow.

Excellent food, prompt service, great atmosphere

By Rob E |

If your idea of a great restaurant meal is to eat good tasting food of interesting cultural lineage, with great ingredients, prompt service, at a fair price, and surrounded by tables of happy people enjoying the same, and everyone engaged in lively table conversations around the room, this is the place for you. Good food and good conversation makes a great night out.

Good service, good atmosphere, good food - the best

By Annette F |

How many times have we passed this corner and not stopped? Last night we stopped and were very pleased. From the welcome, to the caring service, and the farewell, the experience was lovely. And, don't forget the food. The waitress made some good recommendations. We shared the clam appetizer - garlicy and oily, the best. Then we each had the seafood soup. It was huge! Chock full of fish and seafood. Excellent. The desserts looked amazing but we were stuffed. Hope to stop again when next on Coral Way and try other food.

Amazing food, awesome service.

I really have a great dining experience with exceptional service. If you like portuguese cuisine that’s definitely a place to go.

Neighborhood authentic Portuguese find

By Scott W |

Visited this neighborhood restaurant recently. As the name suggests, It is a Portuguese food restaurant so menu is heavy on fish and seafood. We went at 8 pm on a weekday and it was empty. Filled up around 9:30 as you would expect. Other clientele were Portuguese and Brazilian from what we could tell from their accents. A good selection of Portuguese red and white wines moderately priced. Service was very attentive and the waiter was very helpful to our choices. Everything we ordered arrived promptly but not rushed. We had the octopus and the cod fish cakes to start. Octopus was very good and the highlight of the meal. Fish cakes didn't seem to be freshly cooked (they weren't warm) but tasted okay and came with some peas. We both had cod (I think the name was largueiro style or something similar) for main course. It was good, not overly seasoned and the portion was very ample (we couldn't finish it) and came accompanied by red pepper and potatoes. There a few tables outside and about a 15 or so inside where we were. Parking is on the street or by valet ($8).

Great Portuguese cusine

By Happytraveling055 |

The real deal and very good service. Two locations confidently located. Average about $40 per person. Good dining environment. Linens and very clean. Menu extensive cod and seafood selection. Limited wine list but acceptable. My personal favorites are cod croquettes, bacalau Gomez ( shredded cod, potatoes, onions, and a boiled egg). Also very good = bacalau a la braza ( grilled cod with potatoes). Dessert? Crema de Fatima. Enjoy will not disappoint.

An unforgettable dinner at Coral Way.

The restaurant old Lisbon is a great pourtugese restaurant. It rs very traditional. Abundant and tasty food from Portugal. Great variety of soups. The ambience is relaxing. Decoration is nice. It has a big and nice bar. I was forgetting the very goods deserts to crown a good dinner. One thumb up!!

Excellent cuisine and service

By Ricardo F |

If you’re looking for a real Portuguese cuisine in Miami area, that’s the place you need to go. Lots of menu options with great seafood and real treats from Portugal. Plus they have a small market where you can buy some goods and wines. Strongly recommended

Great seafood and portuguese style!

By motorhead54 |

We have been to Old Lisbonb twice, once for lunch, the second for dinner. And you bet, we will soon be back. We were very pleased with the service, the food is great, the quality of seafood remarkable. The place is decorated to stand for the name, in an old portuguese style, which we found very nice. We ordered the grilled octopus and the "camarao alho" (shrimp) and both were wonderful, the octopus very tender and perfectly cooked. As main dish, a very recommendable option is the codfish (bacalhau), prepared in different styles, so you can find the one that best fits your taste. If you prefer seasoned dishes, the "caldeirada de peixes y mariscos" will not disappoint you. A very good selection of portuguese wines and portos are available, reasonably priced. All in all, in our opinion, one of the best seafood restaurants we found in Miami so far.

There is Old Lisbon and there is Old Lisbon (Original)...

By GarryDesAmours |

Over the years, the Old Lisbon Restaurant on Coral Way, unanimously, has become one of our favorite restaurants in Miami. If you can’t go to Portugal, why not let Portugal come to you? Best fresh cod fish in Miami. What a consistent “Solid Citizen”! We have never been disappointed. Obviously, if you don’t like cod fish (Bacalhau), you can’t enjoy Old Lisbon although they have some dishes for non-fish lovers. The Manager even know our favorite wine and dishes. Isn’t that amazing? On Sunday, the family atmosphere creates some strong vibrations. It is like eating at home after church on Sunday. We just love that restaurant.

Best Bacalao in town!!!

By pepas |

There was 7 of us that arrived without reservations on a Saturday night ( restaurant was packed) and they could have not been more welcoming!!! Service was impeccable throughout the whole time and the food was exquisite!!! I had the rice with octopus which was the best i have had in Miami!!! 5 others had bacalao and say it was amazing andobehad the grilled sardines, she said it was delicious!!! Great portions for the price!!! Can’t wait to go back and try their paella which looked great!!!

Great place for a quaint lunch

This is a great place for a quiet lunch, business meeting or a romantic dinner. Dinner reservations are required, but not for lunch. The food is delicious, and when you are a regular, they know your name. Their desserts are to die for!

Long time fine Portuguese Restaurant on Coral Way

By ray raposo |

Had dinner last Saturday and we enjoyed the meal and the service of this Portuguese Restaurant that specializes in fish dishes. We were served a bread basket with different types of fresh bread. My friend ordered a cup of wine and was served a close to full cup. I had the Grilled Pargo (Snapper) with Shrimp and Garlic Sauce, Potatoes and Vegetables. My buddy had one of the many Bacalao (Codfish) dishes. My Snapper was delicious, the 2 Shrimp added just enough of a complimentary different texture. The also Grilled Codfish was fine, although the fish bones made eating it a bit of a struggle. They also serve a flamed sausage and octopus appetizers. Prices run the whole scale from dishes in the low $20s to the $30s and higher. The white table cloths give the place a touch of class. The wait staff was very attentive, refilling water glasses often and the whole place was quite enjoyable. They have parking behind the restaurant and an attendant is available. Although we were able to be seated at 7:30, by 8 PM the place was quite full, so reservations are recommended.

Perfect combination: Amazing food, excellent service and competitive prices

By GarryDesAmours |

Before our trip to Portugal, we have decided to go to Old Lisbon restaurant to enjoy some authentic Portuguese food. It was a Rainy Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was still very busy. In spite of the large number of customers, the service was excellent. As for the food, OMG! It was heavenly delicious. The portions were larger than I thought. The octopus was excellent. As for the codfish, it is a signature fish in Portugal. They must have at least 10 different choices on the menu. Regardless how you want it, it is just great. We will definitely go back to Old Lisbon restaurant next time we have a craving for Portuguese food.

Old Lisbon in Sunny Isles is great!

Love Portuguese food and this restaurant does not disappoint! It is pricey if are looking for a cheap restaurant this is not for you. It's totally worth it though. It's not fancy, but it is not super laid back either.

Spent the day at the Viscay museum and just googled a restaurant nearby and thank goodness we went to this one. We ordered the paella and split it between me and my husband It was amazing! we also had a wine from Portugal the waiter was very helpful and helping us to decide what to order because some of the portions were very large. But the desert was by far the most amazing I had had. The almond torte was something I had never had like this before. My husband order tarts made of phyllo dough and with cream custard. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to have a culinary explosion!

Pretty nice and cozy for a taste of Portugal

We were curious about Portiguese food before we actually went on a trip to Europe and stayed in es Portugal for a few days where we tasted original Portuguese dishes. Old Lisbon resembles the cuisine and atmosphere of European country

Reeal Lisbon in Miami

By Hector M |

It was a pleasant surprise to find in Miami (Coral Gables) a real corner of Lisbon, where food, attention and wines run evenly in quality. It has a varied menu (appetizers, soups and salads, vegetarian food, land, sea and, of course, specialties in seafood with emphasis on cod. Portuguese winesfrom excellent wineries pari very well these food. The restaurant is 25 years old and has other branches in Maimi South and Sunny Isles). I recommend it widely.

We always stop here when in

By tappyt |

We always stop here when in the area. Never disappoints. Excellent staff, large menu choices, sparkling clean, best of all - the food.

Food is unbelievable!

Authentic portuguese cuisine at reasonable price

By Lidubina S |

Unquestionably portuguese, even desserts. there are family dishes to share. there is one in Coral Way which is the one we tried and one in Coconut Grove which I have heard is more fancy. Both good.

Wonderfull Portuguese Dinner!

By AnettePegas |

It was a great surprise! Excellent service, food was absolutely perfect. We ordered sardines for entrance and a plate for each. Everything excellent and big portion. We could not eat all. Portuguese wine. Price very affordable. If you like Portuguese food go there, no regret! And .... enjoy.

Classic!

By JAss787 |

Classic old-time and contemporary vibes - food was excellent and the atmosphere is great! Have been there twice, once with my significant other and then with my parents and it fits perfectly both occasions! The desert we had was phenomenal!

Wonderful

By JerseyRunner826 |

First time here. I had been at the Vizcaya Museum and was looking for a place to grab a some good seafood. I was impressed by the other reviews, and they were right on target. My cod was delicious, as was my cappuccino and port. I sat at the bar by myself, but didn't feel alone -- the place was bubbling with laughter and chatter and a few broken glasses from guests having a great time. The chef, servers and maitre d' were very kind. Will definitely be back when I'm in town again.

Good really Portuguese restaurant

By jean C |

Real Portuguese cuisine, good and abundant, attentive service We come there and come back with pleasure A small criticism, the parking lot is a little small but hey you have to find something

Old Lisbon South Miami

By Joe B |

Good food and service. A little pricey. Flaming dish is great. Good wine list. No parking, but there is parking around there

Food not adequate to the nice place

By Francesco G |

We went to the Old Lisbon as it was rated good, and we liked the place, however we were not so satisfied with the taste of our dish, with fish and seafood. The meat of our children was quite ok, although a bit hard, the service was good. The dessert (creme caramel?) also eatable, but not so good. Price adequate to the nice place and the service, not to the food.

Old Lisbon Miami - Aug 19th, 2023

By Denio Guimaraes |

I love Portuguese cousine, and I was looking for good Portuguese restaurants in south Florida. I had a Great Experience last night on visiting Old Lisbon Miami. An outstanding ambiance, food, and service. Old Lisbon Miami has a very friendly and welcoming staff, specially Jéssica, our attendant. I will be back soon. Parabéns, Old Lisbon Miami! Excelente!

In traansit to Sao Paulo

By peter_glazier |

My wife and I have been coming here (Coral Way) for many years. The portions are enormous (1 dish for 2) but the quality is excellent. The service is very good - most understand Portuguese but the majority of staff are Spanish speakers. By the way they do speak English. The restaurant is well located, has complimentary parking and is very clean. One thing I do not understand. They sell Portuguese mineral water in the annex shop but not in the restaurant?

Great meal

By Raul N |

Good food, great service. Will definitely return again. The Portuguese flavor is all around and enjoyable

Chicken plate was bland

By Joanna |

The chicken breast had ZERO seasoning...ZERO! The potatoes were good but definitely NOT Portuguese! They were seemingly breakfast potatoes. The rice was plain white rice...at least it was salted. The only thing Portuguese about this plate was the sauce that came with it..so i poured the sauce over the chicken to give some flavour. The salad was a salad. I would give the service and atmosphere a thumbs up but for the plate i ordered 👎👎 In montreal, the Portuguese chicken is outstanding...you can taste the charcoal grill. I would not go back.

Amazing Experience All Around !

By FrequentFlier622598 |

Made reservations for a business lunch. The service was fantastic and the food even better. Highly recommend the Flaming Sausage appetizer and any of the cod dishes.

One of the great Ones in Miami

By rwallach2017 |

This place has graced the corner of Coral Way and SW 17th Avenue for as long as I can remember. It is not cheap but considering the quality of the food and the portion size, neither is it unreasonable. You can addle your palate with chargrilled sardines or octopus, chargrilled or marinated in an olive tapenade, just to get started. They'll serve you a wedge of sharp, tasty manchego cheese and aromatic fresh baked breads and rolls to go with the wine you select from their extensive list. The main courses include their specialty, various preparations of bacalao (codfish), broiled, en casserole or poached, your choice, and all of them will roll your eyes up in your head. There are a number of desserts, all terrific, but the chocolate mousse is deadly. They've just added two more locations on Miami Beach and in South Miami near the University of Miami, neither of which have I tried yet even though the South Miami location is less than half the distance from home as the original one. I guess I've just been going there for so many years and have had so many memorable meals there I don't feel like breaking the habit.

Good but

By Andre O |

The food is great as the Sunset location, but the speed up on the service makes you feel a little bit under pressure to make space for someone else. If they fix this will be perfect.

Never again

By Rena A |

We spend almost 2 hours waiting for the dinner to be served The food was partially cold and it look like all different sea food dishes were made from one pod. Some had added rice and it was served as paella some had added water and it was served as soup but tested as water. Potatoes were cold inside Chorizos sousages were regular franks simply grilled The service was friendly but lousy. So never again

Excellent

By R. K. V. |

As good as ever. My favorite restaurant in Miami for many years continues to deliver superior quality food. Exceptional

Love this restaurant

By Recomendaciones2013 |

Great place, excellent service in South Miami

Balacao

By oscari995 |

We went on a Saturday afternoon to this traditional restaurant following the good reviews and we were surprised for the authenticity of the Portuguese dishes. The food was of very good quality and the prices reasonable. However, the service needs some improvement. Don't forget to visit the attached market and order some cod croquettes to go.

Return visit to Miami

By peter_glazier |

This is without doubt the best value added restaurant in town. The food is great but beware the portions are huge. I have never eaten meat here (nor in Portugal) so can only comment on the sea food dishes which are all excellent. Only negative comment is that they no longer have the conventual dessert BARRIGA DE FREIRA. (nun's tummy) By the way their coffee is excellent

Mediocre food, terrible service

By Elizabeth M |

South Miami location. We ate here years ago, and couldn't remember why we hadn't been back so got a fresh reminder. I am simply astounded at the stellar reviews given our experience. We had reservations, but were asked to wait "5 minutes" at the bar. Five turned to closer to 15, which would have been ok if anyone worked the bar. Or asked us if we'd like a drink. Instead, they bizarrely put olive oil and a dish of butter in front of us. Finally bread, but never a drink order offer. Again, we were seated AT THEIR BAR. Our table was ready right as the bread hit the bar. Cod fritters with black eyed peas appetizer was ok, but nothing special as was the caldo verde (potato and collard soup). The cod with potatoes and onions entree was dry and lacked flavor. My son ordered octopus rice, which he could not eat because cilantro was an undisclosed ingredient (tastes like soap to him). The seafood rice was the best entree by far and the only item I'd order again.. Our dessert took so long we thought they forgot it. No one checked on us during our meal to see if we wanted anything. We felt almost like we were an imposition on the wait staff - yet watched them hug certain customers like they were family. All in all a huge disappointment, and given the hefty $200+ bill for 4, we won't be back.

A great Place and Sunny Isles Location is very nice also

By S D B |

I have eaten at two locations and they were both very good. Sunny Isles was also very good. We enjoyed it and the staff were all very helpful and nice.

Highly recommend

By Neal P |

Excellent in every way. Filled all my criteria of all the fabulous meals I've had in Portugal over the years. Fantastic menu, food is delicious, portions large enough to share, house white wine from Allenteju paired very well with everything. We were a table of 10 on a busy Sunday and service was excellent! Highly recommend this 5* restaurant.

Outstanding Portugues food.

By Pablo O |

I've been going to this place since it was a tiny neighborhood restaurant. It has never disappointed. Love the bolinhos appetizer. My favorite entree is the cod a Gomes ça. Then you finish of with a Molotov for dessert.

Great place in the heart of Sunset.

By Mariluz P |

The most delicious grilled octopus I have ever eaten in my life. Excellent service and wines. Highly recommended for lovers of cod and other fish.

Not What it Used to Be

By Maritza T |

I had been to Old Lisbon on 22nd Street before it burned down and was rebuilt and reopened. Not what it used to be! It seems that the original Chef who was amazing with Spanish food is no longer there and the food was mediocre. Not worth the prices. Coming from a Spaniard family and having been raised on tapas, octopus and many many Spain regional dishes....this lacked it all. I would not recommend this restaurant as an excellent venue. The service was not authentic and the food was even less.

Mediocre

By Sancurly |

We visited on a Sunday having made a previous reservation. The place was packed. Service was painfully slow but the waiters were nice. We wanted to order the cod but our waiter advised against it. We had a few appetizers to share - did not like the mussels but enjoyed the octopus. We got a paella for two which was huge ! I really wish the waiter would’ve told us because it easily could have fed 4 people. A couple of us ordered a steak the waiter recommended but it was over cooked to the point it was inedible. The paella was tasty but not the best I’ve had by any means! The locale is nicely decorated but we won’t be coming back.

...just perfect!

By FrancescaMusica |

We had been wanting to try Portuguese cuisine for a while and one day, without planning it we decided to just go. Believe me when I say that I crave their food ever since! My tastebuds went crazy in love and their service is magnificent. They made us try (on the house) their Oporto wine after having our dinner. The staff is incredibly friendly and they make you feel at home. The ambience is cozy yet elegant in a casual way

Great place !!!!

By walter g |

Amazing place !! Service excellent!! Local beer super !! The best Tapas in town !! Very affordable prices !!!

Try their Paella!

By Despieangel |

Recently enjoyed Old Lisbon's Paella with family and friends. It was most likely, the best Paella that we have ever experienced! Chichi full of wonderful seafood including shrimp, lobster and scallops- beautifully cooked rice in a broth that kept the rice moist and flavorful without getting "gummy". just plain delicious!

Lisbon in Miami, 2 locations

By Miamismith305 |

Since it opened its doors in 1991 on the lush Coral Way in Coral Gables, Old Lisbon is considered the best Portuguese restaurant of Miami, its expansion has resulted in two other branch locations at Sunset South Miami, and Sunny Isles Beach. Old Lisbon has been voted in the local top 10 best seafood restaurants of South Florida, and the truth is that the variety of dishes it offers based on the hallmark codfish are just small nibbles of the traditional Portuguese cuisine rich in aromas and generously served. Worth mentioning are octopus and sardines which are plated with a unique style too. Old Lisbon boasts a wide assortment of green and red “vinhos” (wines). It is a place with affordable prices, amicable service and pleasant ambience to share among friends and relatives.

An air of Lisbon to Miami , must do

Just perfect , the welcome , the quality of the service , and especially the quality of the products , a perfect cooking of my cod , an air of Portugal to Miami to do absolutely

Once was good second time terrible

By 47carlosm |

2 weeks later after my good review on a Saturday lunch we went back again for lunch. This time was terrible. The famous Portuguese appetiser clams at "bolhao pato" was terrible and even had mustard on a dish that takes only white wine, garlic and olive oil. The other entrees including the fish my wife had 2 weeks before was also bad and left almost untouched. The wine by the glass highly recommended was also bad and left on the table. Finally we learned that the chef only works on weeks ends or one day before. We paid the full bill and left to another restaurant.

Excellent food with very friendly service

By Chino E |

We went on the spur of the moment and we were very happy that we did. In a nutshell excellent dinner of fried sardines, croquettes of bacalao, entrees of grilled bacalao and seafood stew. All excellent with a nice Portuguese Albariño white white. The Fatima dessert with a nice port that was recommended by the server. All in all a very well done and non pretentious atmosphere. One thing to note— the kitchen is open and all orders were done by only one chef.. incredible and the food came out at a nice pace. Great friendly service... highly recommended! Learn about Portuguese cuisine and give this place a try!

Best Octopus in Miami

By bmlbear |

I have been here a few times and the service is always good and the food plentiful/good. The Octopus is the big stand out - it is very tender and comes with potatoes and assorted vegetables. The Cod dishes are good to. Prices are a bit high.

Nice codfish, rude service

By Brasdan |

I’m Portuguese and have been to this place a few times. As usual, there is really good food (the codfish is great) and bad food (sardines which are anything except the real deal and served drowned in olive oil). The waiter service overall was good, but there is one Portuguese waiter (or manager) at the entrance who was very rude. He was having some kind of problem with the cash accounts, so he didn’t think it was important to say hello or good bye. Rude.

Delicious & amazing evening

By john-almanzur |

I went to eat on a sat and people were really gentle, the food in gigantic which was one of my favourite things about the restaurant. Deserts are delicious I asked for pastel de Nata and a pudín portugués I really love it. I’m satisfied with everyone, I even had a great conversation with the some waiter’s it was really amazing.

Fantastic Valentines Dinner

By jdwalden |

We like to try non-chain restaurants and we hit a home run with this one. All four of us thought our dinners were fantastic! The veggie lasagna and the snapper dinners were both great. Service was top notch too. If you enjoy seafood this is a must stop in Miami!!

Try the snapper; pass on paella

By SunSonia |

Old Lisbon is conveniently located near Vizcaya with valet parking. The bread and wine were delicious as a start. I ordered the red snapper with potatoes and broccoli and really enjoyed the dish. The potatoes were the most flavorful I have ever tried and the fish was a nice size and very well seasoned. My husband had the paella which was super fresh and beautiful but very bland and watery. We are used to the Spanish paella and would not order this one again but would certainly return here to try other dishes. Service was good.

Best Seafood and Service

By AJaime64 |

Have been there a few times. It has become our favorite place. The food amazing. Cod whichever way is the best. Croquetas de Bacalo delicious. The servers are great. I recommend for everyone to try, you will get hooked.

Authentic Portuguese restaurant

By 1879fulham |

Old school Portuguese restaurant which is unpretentious. What you see is what you get. Has an extensive menu and is very popular with the locals. Not really a cuisine I am a big fan off as I I find it all a bit too heavy really but I think I must be in the minority on that front. Whilst I may not return this restaurant will be a big hit for a lot of people.
