While researching the eateries near our hotel in Philly I stumbled onto Olea. The menu sounded lovely and we were not put off by the cash only and BYOB. (I my mind we would be saving money with "our" wine vs. most restaurant's inflated prices.) Sunday dinner with a reservation, although the small dining room was not packed with 10-12 others. Complimentary pita, hummus and olives. We probably didn't need the artichoke appetizer, but it was delish. Mains = ribeye ravioli with goat cheese and a shrimp pesto pasta. Super friendly staff. FYI - Directly across from The Betsy Ross House. Also, restrooms one flight down.

What a gem!!! I just had dinner with my sister, niece and dear friend. We all love a good meal. A meal is more than the food - it is the company, the service, the coffee, feeling welcome, the decor, the ambiance - so many pieces. Louis and his staff have created a refuge at a time when the world is on fire and we need to seek out joy. Olea is pure joy. BYOB. Cash only.

In a word - FANTASTIC! The food, ambience, and service were excellent. Luis & his team do an excellent job. By the time we left, we felt more like family than customers. Truly one of the nicest dining experiences we have had in years. GO!

OMG! This Mediterranean restaurant was amazing! It is a BYOB and cash only restaurant. I would highly recommend. The food was phenomenal and the service and staff were wonderful. The place was packed so thank goodness I had reservations. It’s a tiny little restaurant, so plan ahead and make your reservation online. I loved the ambience inside as it was dimly lit but bright enough to read your menu. They provided the glasses and a wine chiller for the wine bottle we brought. The octopus small plate is a must try! I got the ravioli which is stuffed with ribeye, crispy pancetta and topped with a goat cheese cream sauce and sweet peas. It was FIRE. Highly recommend it. My husband got the salmon and he raved about it. I tried a bite and had to agree it was amazing! For dessert we split some sort of apple olive oil cake. And hot damn, was it delicious! Surprisingly delicious because it did not sound that appetizing to me. Welp, it did not disappoint! You have to try this place!

Great find,BYOB very important if you want a drink with dinner.Small intimate dinner experience .Menu not extensive but you won't regret your choice. Octopus app is outstanding .Chef knows it shouldn't be mushy or rubbery and grills it perfectly, sauce accompanied with it is awesome.I feel like going back for double order as a meal it was so good.Wifey had salmon and loved it.Thought I had best ravioli in Rome but the ones here were pretty damn close. Desert was a homemade closing to a great meal.Service was as comfortable as ever ,she pulled up chair and takes your order.Great personality!
