Quick, delicious great decor and good service. The bakery case is a sight to behold! We split the steak salad, the grilled chicken sandwich and the carmel chocolate cake.

Stopped in here to get something unique and not fast food. Wonderful flavors and ingredients - but a little pricey.

Loved sitting at the bar area with a glass of wine and ricotta gnocchi. Beautiful interior, efficient service.

Very well prepared food. Service was quick and friendly. priced on the high side but worth it. Would definitely return next time I am in the area.

We got in late on our first night of travel and after being up and going for 14 hours and finally arriving at our hotel for check in we immediately went to this restaurant due to its location but fell in love with the environment and food after just a few minutes. The bakery was delicious and returned the next night just for dessert.

We just moved our company from Culver city to Sun Valley and we happen to find you. What a jewel first of all amazing looking place a marriage between Joan's on third and le pain quotidien but with better food and Much Much better customer service. Melina and your staff are so on top of it. Your food is delicious and in our two visit's everything went smooth even though you just opened this location. great wine selection and service was great. Compliment where one is due and it's the attention and love everyone in the place puts in their work that shows. Franck and Tom

This is a popular deli/cafe with good food and coffee. It is open and bright and clean and a nice place to sit. There is no table service, however. If you are okay ordering cafeteria-style, you will enjoy the place. Lunch or breakfast.

Loved the ambience of this cozy restaurant. Very friendly staff and independently owned. Had a wonderful salad and the pastries looked fabulous!

Really great sandwiches and I got a salad. Such a cute place and you almost feel like you want to go shopping there. I took food to go because it was way to noisy to have a conversation with anyone.

While in the area we ducked in here for lunch based on local recommendations. Great menu, excellent service and clean location. the BBQ, Prosciutto and Spicy chicken sandwiches were each amazing and fresh! There is parking on street for a fee and valet parking for a fee as well if you are looking to step out of the car and into to this wonderful location. I would return and do recommend.

My mom and I finished our drive through California in LA. We debated the drive to Olive & Thyme for dinner as the GPS said it would take 1 1/2 hours from our hotel by the airport. We decided to risk it anyways as the menu looked good & it was on a recommendation list from a friend. I am so so SO glad that we did. It unfortunately did take us the full 1 1/2 hours to get there, but we would honestly do it again (that says a lot). We got the avocado/burrata toast and chicken piccata. We decided to split them so that we could try both. Honestly it was the best chicken piccata I have ever tried on any of my travels and one of the best dinners we have had out. The toast was wonderful as well. Andres was a wonderful server and made the experience even better. If you are in LA and debating like us, please go and enjoy the experience like we did. We will 100% be back the next time we are in California and will look forward to coming back until then.

While on a business trip and staying nearby at Sheraton Universal, I used TripAdvisor to discover this neighborhood gem. Good breakfast - great coffee and they have several milk options including almond milk. This is also a great place for food gifts that are local specialty items. The tables are great and the staff friendly. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs with the homemade preserves along with an excellent cafe mocha made with almond milk. Yum.

The decoration is white & bright. Feels garden like. Marble table tops. Exquisite (and expensive) culinary gifts for purchase. It's fun to check out all of the offerings. Lunch food was yummy. The chopped kale salad my friend ordered was particularly delicious. The grilled cheese with bacon (my choice) was very good, maybe a bit dry. Presentation of food is wonderful. Definitely eat here. Our after meal coffees were a bit disappointing. The decaf was a bit thin and my friend's espresso arrived cold. Bottom line, visit for the food and not the coffee. I would return here.

Great spot for lunch. Validated parking under the building. You place your order at the counter, and they give you a number. Find a table (we thought it was going to be difficult but turnover was quick) and the food is delivered. There are seats inside, and a small patio also. The avocado toast was delicious! The eggs were perfectly poached and runny. Bright orange yolks and creamy ripe avocado with chili flakes on toasted sourdough. Plus an arugula side salad. My husband had the short rib sandwich with horseradish aioli and was in heaven. Others had Cobb salads, and a turkey pesto sandwich. Everyone was very happy with the food. The only sort of let down were the fries. They looked super crunchy, but they actually weren't too crisp. They did taste good though. It's really cute inside too. Lots of items for sale, like cookbooks, candles, gourmet food items, etc. They also have baked goods. My 12 year old cousin was over the moon at his giant Nutella stuffed croissant. Everyone who works there is so nice! Like, extremely friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure dining there.

This place was packed during lunch but we didn't have to wait long to sit. I ordered Braised Short Rib Sandwich and it was amazing. It couldn't have been better. I also got a cookie and that was OK. If I was in town longer, I would have ordered a couple of things. I did see the girl from My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend there. So you may run into someone. :)

Love this place, the Fattoush is awesome specially when you add the chicken to it, big portions so if you have the salad I'd recommend not getting anything else because you won't be eat anything else with it. The Spicy Chicken sandwich is by far my favourite sandwich they make, if you like harrissa you'll like this sandwich. The evening menu offers a great fried chicken I wasn't a huge fan of it before I had there's and the sauce it comes with it is great! It's a really clean place, nice and bright, makes me think of the kinda place my mother would go to meet up with her friends for coffee and gossip. The staff are really nice!

We had a lovely breakfast at Olive and Thyme (we were staying right across the street at the Tangerine). First - the atmosphere inside the restaurant/store is very clean, open, and airy. There are many cool things to look at/shop for. Second - the COFFEE. Oh man, Barista Kim is a master!!!! She made us a coffee we had not had before - Gibralter - g-e-t one. So good. Third - the food. We had breakfast paninis and they were yummy. I wish we could have gone for lunch or dinner - I see one reviewer had a bacon wrapped fig - that seems like the perfect dish for this place to be serving. If you are going to an afternoon Ellen taping or Warner Brothers Studio Tour - eat lunch at Olive and Thyme first. You won't be disappointed.

We went for lunch and the place was crowded. The food was really fresh and good. The only issue is you need to stand in line to place your order, get a number and then hoping you will find a table where you can dine. Employees are very friendly.

If you are visiting in Burbank, ca..go to Olive & Thyme. Great food, Service, Deli and Store( food gifts or for you). When I discovered this , I was hooked. I went for breakfast, it was within walking distance from my hotel "The Tangerine". The best Green Tea latte and Oatmeal. They have a complimentary (serve yourself) water with lemon. You may eat inside or outside. Very clean, including bathrooms. What I loved is that when I walked in, the server rememeberd me and asked if I wanted my green tea latte, she had only met me the day before , that is service !

We were driving when this place catched our eyes!! It looked sooooo nice..... cozy, armonious.... that we simply had to try it. Its not pretensious, it has style! The music is melow, that blends perfect with the french atmosphere! Two very handsome waiters, with wonderful smiles and attitude take care of all the tables. Its a place to eat slowly and enjoy.... The kitchen is a bit slow.... but it didnt matter!! And the food was delicious

The overall ambience of the restaurant is nice, the owner is very personable and comes to your table to see about the meal and the food is good. Service time is slow, the main menu unremarkable, and if busy, you might share a table, though that worked out okay. But, as for a place to go for a nice glass of wine, a small plate or dessert - now this is where this restaurant really does hit the mark. So check it out, it's well worth it for a different place to go!

Hey Melina—when are you going to get gluten free bread? I’ve been making this request for over 2 yrs now and the guy at the counter laughs and says, “I’ve asked her.” My husband loves the avocado toast but sadly I can’t try it. There is a Trader Joes just down the street and they carry gf bread. You could just buy a loaf and throw it in the freezer. How hard can it be? Most other restaurants are on board. Thanks!!

We have been going to Olive & Thyme for years. It is a bit pricier than other places around, but the food is good. They have a little shopping area for different food items and other things. It's always crowded.

This is the perfect spot for a quick bite. The food is delicious, lots of variety in the salad case, and interesting desserts. We are never disappointed and have been here for breakfast on the weekends, weekday lunches and a few evening dinners. The menu isn't huge, but that means everything they serve is well thought out and perfectly executed. We especially enjoy the fresh salads in the deli case. You can't miss with any of the desserts...anything with chocolate is a must. The counter service is nice and your order arrives at your table rather quickly. So much to enjoy, and a perfect neighborhood feel. The only downside is the parking can be tricky during peak times.

Olive & Thyme are a constant in our office. My current favorite is the deconstructed chicken salad with avocado and arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette. The flavors were fantastic. Their daily soup offerings are top notch as well. Today's was Broccoli Gruyere. Fresh, creamy and delicious! I have yet to have anything here I haven't liked. Yes, it is pricier than fast food, but for quality food in this area, it is right in line. If you haven't tried it, go... go now. :)

Great location, really innovative menu, especially the sandwiches. Prices are a bit on the high side but I suppose you pay a lot for location. Noisy, maybe even a bit boisterous, but friendly and efficient staff.

The coffee and food are outstanding at Olive & Thyme. I have not had anything bad and I go regularly for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Charming atmosphere, good food. I was reminded of one of the creamery/restaurants on Main Street in Disneyland when I walked in with the color palette and display cases for the baked goods. It's open and airy on the inside (obviously I haven't been to Disneyland in years -- it too used to be open and airy). Order your food, find a seat, food finds you -- and it's VERY good food! Enjoy your visit.

Food was ok, but overpriced. Nice atmosphere for lunch or breakfast. Limited seating. Very trendy

Loved this cute little cafe. They have all sorts of interesting treats inside & healthy options. I've tried some of the cakes, salads & brisket sandwich all very yummy.

Great spinach and mushroom omelet with an arugula salad. Fantastic coffee. Loved the look and feel of this place.

Busy, Fun Atmosphere with Good Service. Casual as well as Delicious too. Order at register and have a view of different salads etc while in line. Pick your beverage to go with one of the many healthy sandwiches/plates. Your order is served to your table. Out of our group of 4, ALL Agreed, We Would return!

An upscale, order at the counter, deli that is a Breakfast and Lunch hot spot for the film/tv white collar crowd. The locals from Warner Bros, NBC, and DIsney keep the place jumping from early morning till about 2PM. Not as busy for dinner. The atmosphere is clean, bright, busy and noisey. A great menu of salads, sandwiches, and daily specials. In particular the middle eastern chicken sandwich is delicious and the Cobb salad as good as any in town. Sandwiches and Salads are $11 to $15. The deli case goes beyond the menu with lots of deli salads, the salad trio being a favorite. My personal favorite is the salmon salad but you can't go wrong with the meatloaf, or the mac and cheese also from the deli case. Deserts are delectable, bordering sinful. A good selection of wines, very good coffees, and lots of foodey gift items. Lunch without drinks $8 to $16.

The staff seemed unused to people browsing around. Which is odd if you have market in your title. Purchased a Chocolate Chip Cookie and a Latte. They only had two flavors for the latte. The cookie was very good, however not quite worth the $4.50 price tag.

Wonderful small cheese shop that also has amazing sandwiches, salads and soups. Boutique-y store with some great things for sale (gourmet baking ingredients, etc.) plus an amazing cheese expert, Tyler, who can help you try some delicious new cheeses that you might otherwise never try.

We stopped by this restaurant after a studio tour since It was a short walk away. Good sandwiches, salads and baked treats. A relaxed casual atmosphere made for a pleasant quick lunch stop.

This place is a total gem. Whilst the menu isn't the largest i've seen, the food is truly excellent. The steak salad is one particular favourite of mine. And their dessert selection is just fantastic. Highly recommended.

There are so many delicious items in the deli cases that it's hard to decide. I was trying to eat low-cal, but then I saw the lasagne with bechamel sauce. HAD to have it and I did not regret it. Divinely delicious from the first bite. Sometimes calories aren't worth it, but Olive & Thyme definitely makes it worthwhile. The ambiance is light and sunny with many sizes of tables including one long table to seat 12 for a large group or smaller groups willing to share. There also have a wall of gifts with food, scented candles and kitchen items. Fun to look or just treat yourself!

I was staying at a hotel in the area, and we came here for lunch and breakfast. It's a trendy place and there were always lots of people there. They have a very cute coffee bar set up, where we enjoyed having coffee one morning. The next day we tried lunch - it was good, but my vegetarian sandwich was $15 (a little over priced for what I got). If you don't mind paying more than $10 for a sandwich (I don't think there was anything under $10 but I could be wrong), then it's a fun place to check out. If I went back, it would be for the atmosphere rather than the food.

ordered ahead, one hour, but when i arrive, have to stand in line 10 minutes to get my food. in addition, i had wanted to add a cookie to my online order, that was not possible, so i had to buy it once there. ordering online they also force you to tip (if i was going to tip on an online order it would so that it was ready when i got there, i.e. so i didnt have to stand in line) food was ok, but really expensive for what i got. this cookie was $4.93, you can get same one at any other coffee shop for half the price

I only went their once. It seems like the service could be better. I ordered a salad and then sat down. I asked for water and the server pointed to a table with plastic cups and pitchers of water. For a 15 dollar salad, I would hope that the server would give me water and not just point. There was VERY little chicken in the salad. havent been back

The food was very good, but quite pricey. Over $35 for 2 people to eat a light breakfast. The decor of the business was very cool.

This is a charming market with a wide array of great menu choices right in Warner Brother Studios backyard. They validate for parking too!

Service - 6! Food - 5 Atmosphere - 5 The general manager, Matthew, is doing a great job. This is one busy restaurant but they handle every aspect so well. It is energetic and fun. The manager is hands on and will do every job. Once you order you take your number and head to the tables to find a seat. Even though it was busy there was a lot of great seating. The staff showed great pride for every job they did. Even the food takers where professional and kind rather than acting like runners. I had the salmon toast on lettuce (No toast) and the Cob salad. Get them both! It was a lot for one normal person but it was totally worth the deliciousness. I look forward to going back and getting other things on the menu. The eggs were cooked just right, the chicken was roasted so it was not dry and it was very flavorful. I cannot wait to try some of the other salads and starters. The room is large and white washed. There is a lot of other stuff that can be purchased like an old fashioned market store but it is VERY clean and not cluttered. You can have a fun time meeting new people at a community table or just camp out with a good read while eating. Everyone that was there seemed like they were deep into a fun conversation.

I must have passed this restaurant a million times and never took notice. The atmosphere is so energetic and so nicely decorated. We started our meal with the Hummus trio and were so happy. Three different flavors and all excellent. Both of the sandwiches we ordered were wonderful - mine a spicy chicken. Yummy! Mine included a fresh and delicious salad. Too bad we didn't save room for dessert; they all look wonderful. Also included in the restaurant in a gift section, both food and other gift items. I left with a beautiful candle for my daughter-in-law. Can't wait to return to Olive & Thyme.

This cute little place is so welcoming! Bright and open and I wished I could stay longer. Grabbed a quick lunch to go. Line went quick, received food quickly, and sandwich I got was very good. If I was ever in the area again I would go back!

Had Breakfast at this place this morning and honestly I don't know if I've had breakfast this good and this efficient in a long time! Self service means that you get a break away from the diner vibes and for once you get to take your time and browse the options on both the menu and the table top fridges! I got the Breakfast Panini, Strawberry Croissant and Coffee! All three items were bang on the money!! Another chink in their armour is the price. My friend ordered Toast and Orange Juice. His selection plus mine set us back just over 20 Dollars. Where do you get breakfast for two for 20 dollars?? The location is wonderful and the food as I said was very good! Restaurants like these are the way forward!!

This place is about as cute as you can get. The decor is just beautiful with long farmhouse style tables, white counters and walls and rose wine everywhere. You order at the register and then they bring the food out. Not a lot of choices for kids. Would be so easy to put a nice creamy mac and cheese dish on the menu. Hamburgers were 16$ which just seems to be overpriced in my book. And they were just ok. Chicken pesto sandwich was good but not great. Food took quite a long time to come out. Our friends that we were with were just about finished eating by the time we got our food. Salads looked good but we didn't have one so can't comment on that. I would say that a lunch with girlfriends might be fun here but definitely overpriced for a family of 5 (our bill was 58$ for 2 burgers, 1 chicken sandwich, and a bowl of berries).

Went for Valentines Day dinner and service was just lacking! It wasn't busy at all maybe 5 tables full and yet we couldn't get seated or waited on. This place is expensive and after paying $6 valet you'd think they could be more on top of it for dinner. Maybe they should just keep doing what they do best and that's casual lunch! We have been for lunch and thought it was great but won't be back for dinner!

We were going to the Ellen show and went to Olive & Thyme for launch before the show./ Great menu, very good service, cute restaurant and good prices. I will definitely go back.

This review is not about the food. It's about the integrity of the manager and the owner. Several months ago I was eating at an outdoor table and as the waiter picked up the extra salad dressing, it accidently spilled on my orange leather Ugg tennis shoes. He apologized and got the assistant manager on duty. She apologized, took a picture of my shoes, and said she would show the manager of the restaurant who was not on duty and the manager would call me. I received no phone call. Three weeks later I returned to the restaurant and spoke with the assistant manager again who was surprised I hadn't heard from the manager. She told me when to give the manager a call. I didn't get the manager's name, but I must say she treated me like I was bothering her, said she had seen the picture of my shoes and then told me that people come into the restaurant all of the time, hand them a cleaning bill, and ask for reimbursement saying their dirty garment was soiled at the restaurant. I am 65 years old, my husband is 78. We are both professionals. We are not going to waste our time trying to get $15 out of a restaurant unless we felt it was their duty to pick up the tab for the cleaning. The manager said she would speak to the owner who was out on maternity leave. I received a phone call a few days later saying that they felt no responsibility for my shoes and were not going to do anything. At first my husband and I were very angry and he told me to write a review about it. I let it go, but it still eats at me that they could have comped my lunch or told me to bring the cleaning bill to them. Instead they told me they were not responsible. I like the restaurant, but I have not and will not go back because they did not accept responsibility when their own employees admitted they were responsible for the mishap and the assistant manager who took the photo. A perfect way to lose long term customers. ADVICE: Never let a server accidentally spill or drip food or beverage on you at Olive and Thyme!!

I ate breakfast and lunch here while staying at nearby Tangerine. The choices are many and the pastries lovely. I recommend the grilled salmon salad. It can be a bit noisy at mealtime, but the service is excellent.

Meh, really not impressed with this place. Food presentation is less than deserving of the asked prices and the servers are very much below the level of the prices that customers are paying. If they’d slash every price by 50% maybe this place would be worth visiting but until that happens, I won’t be going back there.

We first visited Olive and Thyme on a Friday night - Burger night! They featured three different gourmet burgers. We shared the delicious blue cheese version along with a delightfully fresh Mediterranean salad called fatoush. For dessert - a cheese plate with candied walnuts, sea-salted sunflower seeds, and quince. Every dish was fresh, beautiflly prepared, and delicious. The staff is warm, enthusiastic, and totally lovely. We had three staff members wait on us even though they were busy! The ambience is like visiting an upscale European place without leaving the neighborhood. You MUST try this wonderful place if you're in the area - or drive there. It's absolutely worth it!

Eat in or carry out a sandwich or salad. Fresh ingredients. Desserts available. Friday was burger night when we were there with a lamb burger option. I ordered the short rib sandwich with carmelized onions and horseradish sauce. It's was amazing and a very large portion . The trio salad plate is a favorite. They have a to go box for a trip to the Hollywood Bowl but you can just as easily order any item to go so I would opt for that. Definitely a food experience . I would agree that it's a bit pricey but a good value. Worth the money for the good food options.

Everything on the menu is excellent and abundant. Working your way up to the ordering station, you must pass a mouthwatering selection of bakery items.....excellent marketing!

This place was a gem. The food was absolutely delicious. I had an open faced salmon sandwich and my son, who is the pickiest eater I know, had an avocado and buratta cheese open face sandwich that he devoured. It was the middle of the afternoon when we sent so it was not too crowded. You order yourself and they bring the food to you. The service was quick and pleasant. Employee came by a bit later to see how everything was and if we needed anything else. They sell some lovely items in the store too.

Coffee was awesome. Food was fresh and thoughtful. Not a lot of seating and you will be very close to your neighbor. Don't reveal your dark secrets.

In an effort to save money there's a trend even in nice restaurants toward self service; Olive and Thyme leads that movement. Although those who deliver the food are friendly enough, the extras like coffee and fresh ground pepper (for the eggs served on a board to save on dishes...) is a major negotiation. Clearly it is good to plan what you'll want and order it at once, because God help you if you want a second expresso--that's another interruption, another line to stand in for the cashier and another wait for the overworked delivery staff to drop it off. The food was average, the setting beautiful and the whole thing a sign of the times. Pay the staff a decent wage and we'll come back.

Great lunch locale and fresh and simple menu. Ordered the turkey club sandwich and salads which were tasty. Would definitely recommend this place!

I went for dinner in this place and the place is clean, good food and fast service. I had pasta and it was just perfect. Definitely a very good place to stop for some food.

If you enjoy fresh, plentiful, delicious food, this is the place. You order at the register, find a table and they bring your food. I love their kale salad and the trio salads from the case.

Only pop in for a dessert because the set up is so strange. Even then, we only think the caramel pudding is worth the hassle. Counter service (sort of) with sit-down prices. Climb over people to see what's available. No line, have to get someone's attention like a butcher shop. Then get a number and wait in an area too small and uncomfortable for the crowd. Nice decorations but lack function!

Have been here a few time now and have had nothing but top notch food. Soups, sandwiches and salads are all excellent. Wine is priced on the high side.

Love having lunch here. The place is beyond charming and the food is delish! My favs are the short rib sand. and the chicken pasta salad. As matter of fact going there today!

Being a coffee addict, this place delivered. The food and the coffee were excellent (try the bowl of oatmeal) and just looking at the cakes and cookies are enough to tempt! Within 2 days they had my order perfected and was just like heading into my local home coffee shop. Highly recommended!

The menu is small but the choices are fresh and flavorful. I picked up a to-go lunch and was able to make healthy selections. They have lots of salads and I chose a combo of three -- quinoa salad, raw corn salad and Brussels sprouts. Delicious!

Called here for morning coffee and a snack. Lovely setting. Quick service. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Decor keeps your eyes busy

The Mexican restaurant down the block had an hour wait. The alternative, Olive & Thyme. Clean, quiet (no screaming to be heard), tasteful decoration. I’ve been here for breakfast before, but never dinner. The menu is nouvelle contemporary, a tad expensive it we all enjoyed our meals quite a bit. Service was friendly. Great neighborhood find. I would eat here again for brunch or dinner.

This is a very busy place, so be prepared to wait a bit. Olive & Thyme offers a great variety of food that is delicious and healthy. I tried the trio of salads and all were excellent! We also ordered a cookie to go--yum!

They started off a block down and it was small, cute, albeit expensive for a coffee/desert place - there are many choices within a few blocks - they have now moved to bigger location - expensive valet parking, although I walked the block from my house, and noisy and bustling and not relaxing; if you want to Be Seen while you write/pose about, and have money to waste, come here - if you want better coffee, great deserts, more relaxed atmosphere - go down a few blocks to Priscilla's....

Nicely decorated restaurant with an atmosphere that radiates energetic serenity and classiness, yet casual and unpretentious. Service is warm, friendly and efficient. Food can be a little slow (maybe because we went there at 3:15 pm, which is close to their afternoon siesta closure between 4:00 - 5:00 pm). Food price was fair considering the neighborhood of Toluca Lake. Great place to sit and relax over a cup of coffee, pastries and having a good conversation with friends.

This restaurant is near Warner Bros. and the friend I met here said "name brand" actors show up now and then. Arrived at 11:30, and as we ate, the place filled up with unhappy hungry people standing around the edge of the room, staring and waiting. Interesting menu, interesting shop, takeout business. Order at the counter and a server brings it. The food was good, well presented for the most part, except salad on a board with the dressing oozing. I would caution that this is a VERY NOISY ROOM to the point that it almost precludes conversation. Also a huge wide front door that swings slowly, letting in the heat of summer. Parked in the structure and upon leaving was told that only the first 90 minutes had been validated by the restaurant. Twelve and a half dollars for parking!! The same amount my salad had cost. My review is "average" in that the plusses and minuses and in equal measure.

We have been to the Olive and Thyme many times for lunch and it is packed. Always great fresh food, lots of flavor. for the first time, we went last night for an early dinner and there were only a few people. Our luck! The service included the owner/ chef coming by and asking us if we needed anything, we did and she brought us toasted bread with olive oil. The food was simple, a little spicy, delicious and very fresh. Great wait staff, attentive and helpful. Great experience. we would certainly go back again.

Parking: Staying at the motel next door, but it didn't appear difficult. Ambiance: Clean, open space with marble table tops, concrete floor, and nicely laid out merchandise. Service: It's an order at the counter, then they deliver it to you kind of place. Everyone was friendly, efficient and helpful. Food: Coffee was truly excellent; smooth but strong. Hubby had avocado toast with heirloom tomato and burrata. Bread was delicious, but the tomato was unnecessary. Burrata was very flavorful. I had fruit with greek yogurt (hold the honey - it normally comes with). The fruit was plump and sweet, yogurt added just enough sweetness / protein to the mix. We'll be back again.

The Skinny: Parking: on the street, good luck Decor: think French pantry Restroom: clean single Service: friendly Food: really tasty This place really is a great neighborhood spot but man does it get busy at lunch! We had to park a few streets away and barely got a table to sit at. You order at the counter and they ring you up and bring the food to the table. There is complimentary spa water available also. My mom ordered the Chinese chicken salad which is HUGE and can feed 3 people - you will have leftovers! And I had the short rib sandwich which is AH-mazingly delicious and comes with tiny pickles. I split with my friend who ordered the grilled cheese sandwich which had way too much bleu cheese for my taste. Overall a great place!

I've been here several times for lunch with co-workers and it's a great middle-ground spot. It's more upscale than a deli but not so nice that you can't just pop in on a whim. I always get sucked into the salad trio but co-workers have ordered a good number of the sandwiches on the menu and have been pleased. Honestly, the main draw besides good food is the atmosphere - it's open, clean and the right side of the restaurant is full of cooking knick-knacks, spices and yummy desserts - all things that make a friendly, familiar environment. I wouldn't go out of your way for it, but definitely keep it on your list if you will be in the area.

Great place for breakfast, ample menu satisfying many tastes. The coffee is superb. Great place to eat before headed over to one of the studio tours nearby.

Went w/ my DD to this cute little restaurant off Riverside and thought the food was really great and the atmosphere fantastic. She had the special Tuesday Tacos and I had the Cobb Salad, both of which were really good and really nice portions. We sat at a quaint little table next to the windows in the front. The place is charming and I would recommend it for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We discovered this wonderful restaurant which is tastefully decorated and was very welcoming. We enjoyed fresh oatmeal with slivered almonds and hot milk. The best oatmeal we have ever had! We also had a breakfast burrito with avocado which was excellent. Wait staff were very friendly. The kitchen was a bit slow only because everyone (customers) seemed to arrive and order at the same time. Fresh squeezed orange juice was terrific! Well worth your time!

I recently went to Olive & Thyme for breakfast with my daughter. I would rather be seated , look over the menu & give my order to a waiter/waitress. This isn’t that type of place. So one must order at a counter & it is then served to you by someone. I ordered the spinach mushroom omelette and my daughter ordered the avocado & burrito toast. She loved hers & I tried it & did like it a lot. I enjoyed my omelette however, I felt the goat cheese overpowered the dish somewhat. The portions are big and there was so much arugula salad that came on my plate that I just couldn’t finish the dish.

Absolutely loved this place, in fact it was a much more enjoyable meal than the $300 meal had the night before while on our trip. The food was delicious, so fresh and nourishing and tasty, not to mention generous portions. I had the steak salad and it as amazing. Hubby had pasta which was equally delicious. Great atmosphere. Nice service. Would be back again if we weren't leaving la tomorrow.

Staying in the Valley for spring break our hotel recommended this place for breakfast. We sat at the community table which was quite enjoyable. Order at the counter and food and coffee is brought to you at the table. The coffee, while expensive, was terrific. If I recall correctly they have Four Barrel coffee. The breakfast menu was limited (no fried eggs, no pancakes), but the three of us had the scrambled eggs with applewood smoked bacon and homemade bread and jam and it was quite good. The staff was friendly.

We went here before lining up for a Warner Brothers Fuller House show filming. Just about 5 minutes away from the studio. Parked easily on the street. Grab a menu on the way in then head to the counter to order. Beautiful array of pastries behind the glass. Ordered the farmhouse panini for $11. Came with a tiny side of fruit. Very good but a bit pricey. Took a while for the food to be delivered to your table, even when we just ordered a cookie to go. You would think the cashier could just bag a cookie and hand it to you but you are given a number and have to wait. Ordered the rice krispy chocolate chip cookie and sadly it was overcooked and hard. Not what we were expecting, especially for the price. But the interior of the restaurant is beautiful and the sandwich was a great way to start our day.

We had a great experience with friends and co workers while on our business trip. I ordered the hanger steak which was perfectly cooked. The group had the hummus sample which was fabulous too. Love the artichoke hummus what a novel concept. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff delightful and the food amazing.

Breakfast here before a visit to the WB studios. I had the eggs benedict which was so yummy! Clean beautiful space. Expensive, but worth it.

This place was so good. We ate there 3 times for breakfast during our stay. The pour over coffee is so wonderful. I really loved the yogurt and fresh fruit. Everything we tried was outstanding. You really have to try the oreo cookie cakes too. This place will be on our list to eat at from now on when we visit.

Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. Nicely done roasted chicken and house made fries with a side of aioli for dipping. Our server gave us more toasted bread for our spinach dip without us asking and no additional charge( how many times is that annoying when you go out for a family meal). Hummus trio is quite large so be sure to have ample hummus eaters at your dinner table. Very close to WB studios and New York film academy. Parking on the street is pretty easy to find.

Yes, it can be a bit of search and wait to get a seat here. You go up to the counter and order first, then turn expectantly around to face the dining area, like the new kid at school hoping the cafeteria gods will be kind. They have a long shareable table, as well as smaller ones for parties of 2 or 4, and outdoor seating. It's bright, cheery and friendly. They have assorted desserts on display, as well as a variety of vegetable salads. I ordered their grilled cheese and added the applewood smoked bacon, in addition to the heirloom tomatoes....delish! It came with a small cup of a side salad and I was completely satiated!

We stopped in here before the WB tour and had a quick lunch. There were lots off menu options, as well as a deli case with different salads and desserts. The facility was clean and inviting, and the staff was friendly.

Quaint, quiet, & quality food !!! The service is A+ as well ;) Adorable atmosphere, great wine , & easy parking !!! Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Stunning. Sumptuous food. To die for desserts. Wine that oozed charm and tickled my palette in all the right way... I loved it. Sandwiches and salads were made to order by staff that were lovely, charming and unpretentious There is nothing lovelier than food made with love by people who seem to care. As a European in LA, simple, stylish, well thought out food that lets the flavors speak for themselves served in a classy surrounding is much appreciated. Perfect for a coffee stop. Perfect for lunch. Great to hang out... (Check out the wonderful Papa George who was just so sweet). Rarely eulogize, but this was just a little bit of heaven.

We went to Olive & Thyme for lunch on a recent trip to LA. Simply, it was fantastic and we wish this place were close to home--we;d go all the time. It has a wonderful, gourmet selection of salads, sandwiches and desserts. And the only thing better than the food was the wonderful and friendly service. Everyone working here acted like they were an owner, taking special interest in ensuring that everyone was being served exceptionally.

As a local, I have been so excited about this place opening. I have watched the building be refurbished and decorated and wondered if the food could be as lovely as the decor... Well - it is! I loved the meatloaf. And their lasagne. And every one of their sandwiches I have tried have been great so far. Not much of a coffee drinker, so can't really comment - but the tea is great. I've spent a few evenings here too, drinking wine and eating a few to many desserts. Nice staff and great decor, and it's a market too so you can buy bread, cheese and all sorts of goodies. Fab place to hang out, or take out. It can get busy at lunch, but great places always are! Staff are always nice - and the owners seem adorable too. Am proud of my new neighbourhood hangout!

I would have lunch here every day if I could! Their sandwiches and salads are so fresh and delicious. There are a variety of options to choose from. My favorite is their daily soup and a kale salad, with a chocolate chip cookie to top it off! All of their baked goods are delicious.

There were three of us. Had cobb salad, soup, tuna sandwich - all was served beautifully. Tasted great! So fresh. A little noisy, but so busy and lively. Was recommended highly and I can see why. Their desserts looked amazing, although a little pricy, but really good. Would definitely go back next time in CA.

Located on the corner of Riverside and Kenwood, Olive & Thyme is a medium priced eatery based upon LA prices. Your average meal will cost $15 per person which includes an entre and a beverage. There is a queue where you place your order and are given a number. Seating is where you wish. All of the food is excellent and this is mainly a sandwich place to eat. They have an extensive gift section which includes some of the food products on the menu. Parking is on the bad side for LA with limited street parking on the block where it is located. The eatery gets hammered at lunchtime because The Disney Channel Building is located directly above it as well as the next door tower. The restaurant closes daily from 4 to 5pm. A point of atmosphere which may affect those that want a quiet meal. The said venue is a place where females like to gather. My wife calls the conversation level equivalent at meals times as being in a "hen house". A lot of clucking. But hey, they got great food, helpful staff, overall fun place. Peace.

Just walking into Olive and Thyme is like being in a French cafe! The shelves of sundry items-from gourmet savory spreads to chocolate-is stunning and inviting. The food is fresh and very tasty and nicely presented on a wooden board. I had the turkey ,arugula and preserved Meyer lemon sandwich -served on a toasted rustic bread. My daughter had the avocado and barratta on toast which she raved about. We did not try the deserts but they were beautifully displayed and looked like generous portions.

Good food! the coffee is ok. If you don't like cilantro make sure you specify. Service can be a little slow and aloof but overall it's vibey and a fun place to hang out and eat good food

My friend and I enjoyed a beautiful lunch here recently. Her sandwich was served on a wooden platter. I had quiche which came with a large salad. We took home some desserts from the deli-like counter. A bit expensive, but good quality food.

My husband and I ate here while staying in Burbank. Its a great spot , very friendly staff and our order was taken care of very efficiently. We both had sandwiches which were fresh and delicious with fresh herbs added to the greens. My husband had a salad which was very large and filled with good things like beans slivers of tomato, peppers and cheese and more fresh herbs - yum! I had a macaroon for dessert and it was melt in your mouth heavenly.

nice little french-ish cafe with tasty salad and sandwich choices. nice for a daytime brunch or light lunch. we had salad assortments (kale, quinoa - both tasty). enjoyed a glass of wine with meal, all the better. close to Tangerine Hotel. obvious a local favorite, lots of people talking and enjoying the dining.

We had several breakfasts here and the food is great. Very healthy and tastes great at the same time. They also have a good selection of artisanal foods, condiments, cheeses etc. Very friendly staff, good service. A very nice restaurant.

Went for breakfast and we weren't disappointed. The pancakes with Nutella, strawberries and Nutella whipped cream were delicious. Flaky croissant and a cup of tea were equally yummy. The entire place is a delight for the senses.

O&T has beautiful salads and delicious sandwiches, while offering a wide variety of little gifts and kitchen delights. It is very close to my office, and I end up having lunch there at least 3 times a week. It can get busy around lunch time, so you may want to order ahead. It is a little pricey, but def. fully worth it!

We dropped in for a quick lunch and were very happy with our choice. Food and service was great. Decor was nice and inviting.

We have dined here a few times. It has an intimate, casual atmosphere and healthy food choices. The food is fresh and tasty. It's a little pricey for what you get. My only other comment is that the menu is fairly limited.

I'm so happy that we stumbled upon this restaurant as I didn't even see it on Trip Advisor when looking for food. We had both lunch and breakfast here over our 2 day stay in Burbank. I had an amazing avocado and burrata toast for lunch and for breakfast the granola with yogurt and berries was delicious. They have a LaMarzocca coffee machine which if you like a good latte you know is the king. I highly recommend this place!

Delicious!!! Worth the long wait! We had to get our order to go in order to make it back to Warner Brothers tour.

My TripAdvisor app told me that this was the #1 restaurant in Toluca Lake and it just happened to be on our way to the 134 freeway so we decided to give it a try. The food was outstanding and we enjoyed our lunch thoroughly. The decor is somewhat "shabby chic" and seating is casual. The restaurant is a bit loud and busy so I would not recommend this for anyone looking for a quiet meal. Not only was our meal awesome, but they also sell yummy looking desserts, candy, candles, and some other products. If in the area, this is a great place to try!

Delicious light Lebanese dish. Verh friendly services. I suggest to go early otherwise u won’t find a seat.

We came for breakfast because we stayed at the lovely tangerine hotel across the street. The coffee was great - fresh pour overs and they served the extra in a canister for refills. We ordered an egg sandwich on brioche and added avocado. My husband said it was the best he'd had in awhile. We also got an omelette with goat cheese and arugula, but it was served with an arugula salad too which was overkill. We also got toast which was described as a sourdough baguette with fresh jam and butter... but the toast was so "toasty" we couldn't bite it. Too bad because the jam was amazing.

Wow, this used to be a pretty good place. I used to come here often but now, the long wait times, and ridiculously priced fare detract from the fairly cool ambience. Two salads, an iced tea and a latte ran us just over $50.00, plus tip for lunch! I will say in all fairness, that one of the salad had some nasty looking shredded chicken thrown over it. Used to come here a few times a week, but lately it is really going down hill. Table and picnic table type seating with a few places outside to get away from the REALLY noisy main room. Time to find a new place that actually wants our business.

Great restaurant...cool vibe...nice, if not spartan, decor. The baked goods are AMAZING and worth coming in just for those. On the Saturday brunch menu, I ordered the Short Rib Hash. This was excellent...except that they put in WAY too much garlic. So beware! Other than that, it was a great place.

Food was great. Nice space. The stuttering lights were annoyingly distracting and unpleasant. Bulbs should be changed out for ones that don’t strobe.

Really loved my food, the atmosphere is awesome. What a great addition to our great city. I didn't get enough of it and still want to go back and look in the shelves and cases - there was just so much to see. I look forward to going back and trying something else because everything looks great. This is not going to be one of those restaurants that you eat the same thing every time.

Since they moved to new location, strangely enough, I have NEVER been greeted. I mean NEVER. Every single time I have been ignored which never happed in "pre" relocation era....... As much as I would love to go back, I can't waste my energy and time any more. I do recall some critics once mentioned this is "the Joan's on Third in Toluca Lake." Oh well, can't be or won't be after all.....

This was close by and actually got take away lunch for four. Their food is locally sourced and they had wine and beer as well. The food was a good portion size and they also cater for coffee and cake. A BAT for one, Lets Be Frank, a chicken avocado salad and the Fatiush salad with chicken which you can add to it. All the food was actually tasty and good value. It is a popular place but efficient and their kitchen area was clean and they have fun.

My birthday. I ordered Roasted Mary's Chicken Breast for $24. The menu said that it came with fries and an arugula salad. Fries? In a restaurant with perfect lighting and roses? I don't think so. I was offered brussel sprouts or broccolini instead ... now we're talking! Except that will be a $3 up-charge. The server seemed offended that I did not want fries. I said, "Just give me some extra salad." What I got was a teeny bone-in chicken breast with a wing -- I don't know what makes it "Mary's" -- that was quite unremarkable and a plate overflowing with enough arugula salad to feed a family of five, so much so that it seemed a passive aggressive reaction to my disapproval of fries. My husband's pork chop was good, but also small. We left very protein deprived. We had two different servers over the course of the evening, neither of whom was attentive, waited forever for a water re-fill, and were never offered a dessert or coffee. The place was crowded, so maybe it is a local favorite but our experience was so bad we just had to laugh it off and go back to the hotel for a snack.

We arrived at 9:15 am —15 minutes after the opening. We couldn’t order 2 butter croissants because they had only one. We had speciality coffees and shared one croissant. Very dissatisfying 😟

Breakfast at Olive and Thyme was a lovely affair. Food was hot and very fresh . Our eggs and bacon with sourdough on toast were complimented by a great cup of coffee. Not cheap but definitely worth it.

A very nice place to have a breakfast, both sweet and fit. Visited twice. Both of the times I was satisfied with my menu item. Pleasant and not so crowded place.

With the feel of Joan's on Third this fantastic Toluca Lake restaurant is one of the best places for lunch in the area. The food is top quality and the desserts are second to none. They could add some items in their case to give it a little variety, but overall this is a perfect establishment.

Love this place! Breakfast yogurt with honey and fresh berries was delicious. The latte was the real deal - much better than Starbucks. Lunch soups and salads are also fresh and tasty. Service is fast. Also have upscale sweets and gourmet food items. Was able to pick up several unique stocking stuffers. Visited this restaurant three times during my recent stay. I highly recommend it.

Good italian food, used to be better before, the quality of pizza is not as it used to be, and the pasta was not very fresh

This place is fabulous. Shabby chic tables chandeliers fresh flowers in milk pitchers. Lovely lighting. Great menu with vegan options. Very lively at breakfast. Excellent bakery and they also have a lovely store section with candles crystals all kinds of beautiful options.

Enjoyed not only the quick food and good service, but also the atmosphere. Often you find celebrities that are aware people watch, but nobody bothers them or harrasses them. We had a very good time, close enough to Warner Bros and The Grove for all of us to be satisfied with the food and the convenient location. Recommend it to anyone!

The food and service are always great here. The valet makes it super easy and convenient. I have had wonderful catering from this resaurant and come in often to pick things up for company as they do great meat and cheese plates. Picked up a cheese plate for Hollywood Bowl a couple weeks ago and at last minute decided to get a bottle of wine which brought my bill from $30 to $100. Iadked about huge jump and they told me it was an expensive wine so when I saw at Pavillians for $18 i felt cheated.

From the friendly greetings to the nice warm feeling you get by simply being there, this was a great hospitable presence that the staff bring. I interacting with Keetan and Megan (hoping I got their names right) and just based on the conversation, genuine concern and warmth they presented made me come back a second time. The food is great but the staff is even greater, best experience I’ve received in awhile.

great food, great people (even celeb) watching, love the gibralter coffee and the salads, even have great breakfasts

Look no further than Olive and Thyme for ambience, great food and great coffee. We stopped here during a private tour of LA. We had just visited the Disney studio and it was a hot day. We came across olive and Thyme and were instantly revived. I had a cold brew coffee and oatmeal cookie. Delicious. This place will delight you.

A nice place for lunch in Riverside area of Burbank. Order wonderful sandwiches at the counter and then pick a spot outside and the food is brought to you. Very relaxed and quiet.

Stumbled upon this place while staying at a hotel close by. Intrigued by the tables and chairs outside and "patisserie" sign on the window. Walked into a beautifully designed space with a handful of small tables, chalkboard menu and nicely merchandised french cheeses, sweets, sea salts, olive oils, etc. (its also a gourmet market). Ordered the steak salad which was delicious! Came back the next day for the carrot & thyme soup and a glass of wine-- also good. Hit it again on my last day for a high-end grilled cheese: short ribs, carmelized onions and gruyer - yum! Very friendly staff. Seems like its frequented by folks who live in the neighborhood (even saw Burbank firemen eating there), so you know it's got to be good. Pricey but in this area, not surprising. A real gem!

The food is excellent and the catering is awesome a huge hit with my friends and family. Standing in line goes quick and have always been able to find a table but hate waiting but the fact that so many people are there says a lot about the food!

I went twice to the Olive & Thyme in a three days staying in Burbank. I had a nice grilled sandwich with veggies. The next day, I went for breakfast. Also really good and satisfying. I really like that for the quality of the food was a really fair price.

This cafe advertises their breakfast selections, but the cafe doesn't open until 8 am.

Love this place. Owner operator who is hands on and knows her guests and what they love. Tried several dishes. All were outstanding. Unique salads, special pastas, and innovative dishes like ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers. Save room for amazing desserts. Like red velvet brownies. You won't be disappointed here.

Whouah! We were staying just accros the street at the Best Western in Burbank. Coincidence made us stay in Burbank for diner and guided our path to Olive and Thyme. This place is awsome! The food is top notch, the chef absolutely fab and very generous. All 4 of us with 2 teenage kids loved our dishes - and they were all different. I was brave and tried absolutely terrific roasted Brussel sprout, roasted with Parmesan, crumbs and garlic. Beautiful. My second dish sounded classical, linguine with clams and pancetta. In all the different Italian restaurant I went to in my life - and they are a lot believe me - I never experience such generous (clams) portion, full of flavor with pancetta, garlic and a few chilies. Perfection. Porc and chicken chosen by son and wife were also brilliant - organic meat taste really nice - and my daughter's tomato soup and avocado toasts were really delicious. Loved it to bits! Our second best restaurant in 2 weeks in California (1st was a Peruvian in SF Noe Valley). Bravo et merci Monsieur le chef.

I live down the road and had never discovered this place before much to my horror (there are very few restaurants I frequent in the Burbank/ Toluca Lake area due to not having been impressed with most of them. This place has such a nice design, really airy and light with cute copper pans hanging from the wall and clear hanging ball ceiling fixtures. The bakery items looked amazing, though I didn't try any. I had an egg salad sandwich on grilled olive bread, the egg mayo was the best I've eaten in the States, I'm British and missed good egg mayo! The sandwiches are open faced and the bread was ever so lighting grilled, so still soft. My partner had the grilled cheese which was extremely cheesy on nicely toasted bread, delicious, that came with a side salad. We also had a latte and a mocha which came with the nice little leaves in the froth and which tasted great. It's not cheap and with no parking we had to pay $5 for valet, which for lunch I think is ridiculous, but other than that I loved this place and will definitely go back.

Never disappointed when I come here except for a long wait occasionally. The food is all top notch. I usually have one of the salads with a protein. The steak salad is great - full of flavor and texture. There is so much to choose from here - you can eat in or to go. Get a coffee and dessert or grab lunch. I love the new location - so much more space and I just discovered that you can park in the parking lot and it is validated for up to 90 minutes for lunch and 2 hours for dinner. In an area with limited parking (and not wanting to do valet most of the time), I am thrilled to discover this convenience.

That's a great way to start. The bacon wrapped fig is delicious. I had the salmon for dinner and the carrot & dill soup! Very nice and VERY friendly!

The food is really good and it's nice and bright and very convenient

Fantastic place to go and enjoy a brunch outside with friends. The outdoor seating is shaded and relatively quiet considering it’s next to a busy street. Our food came out quickly, as did our coffee. If you can’t find street parking they will also validate about 90mins which is great! Highly recommend.
A healthy choice
The restaurant was right across from our hotel, so it seemed like a good option. The meal choices are healthy and the prices are good. If you want a light meal this is a good choice. Nice staff and a good selection.
