Although a $10 cab ride from our hotel, Olympic Provisions was well worth searching out. Wife and I sat at the bar and not only enjoyed excellent charcuterie(French) and cheese boards, we felt the service was very good and we enjoyed watching the kitchen staff scurry around making all the meals. The only downer were the "fried almonds" they seem just like plain almonds from a can that had been warmed a bit. Didn't have any "fried" character. But the other pluses clearly were more important. We'd go back and recommend to our friends

Stumbled on Olympic Provisions by luck and glad we did. We visited for a late lunch and they crafted us a charcuterie of meats that simply rock in both flavor and presentation. Followed up the meat board with an excellent ham sandwich. Great atmosphere, engaging conversation from the staff and excellent food make this a great place.

It took a recommendation and directions from a Priest for me to find this place — a real meat company with a restaurant in an industrial area. Started with a selection os sliced Spanish meats - others available include Italian and French. Entrees were not huge and looked like food magazine ads, but they were filling and incredibly tasty. Desserts were also delicious. Decore is packing plant chic - not fancy but clever and friendly.

We had a nice dining experience here. Wine selection is excellent, also by the glass. The kids menu is very good.

Stopping here was a real treat, we were warmly greeted by staff place was very clean, smelled great whiffs of smoking meat very mouth watering! Got the Spanish board it was very good!! Lots of great dining options on the menu! Wait staff was very attentive and engaging, look forward to my next visit!!!

We'd wanted to try Olympic Provisions ("Olympia Provisions," as of February, 2015, when the IOC made them change their historically significant business name!) for years, but just never got around to it. Finally, an out-of-town friend suggested we meet there for dinner last Wednesday evening. The other couple made reservations and brought their own wine after learning the corkage fee was only $15. We were surprised to discover that the restaurant does have lots of nice wines, though, so don't feel you must bring your own. My husband even tried a "sour" beer, which was so refreshing he ordered a second one! I cannot remember the name of it, but it is imported. Overall, our meal was enjoyable! We ordered a charcuterie board of various cured meats, slices of baguette and a few pickled veggies. It's their specialty. Very tasty! My husband started with 1/2 dozen of their tiny Japanese oysters, which are usually the sweetest. He said they were not as flavorful as others he has had, but they were "not bad." I started with my usual Dirty Goose Martini and a lovely salad described as a variety of baby greens. They were tasty, but not at all "tiny," as expected. My husband's main course was their halibut, and mine was the rotisserie chicken. Both were far too salty for us. This seems to be an all-too-common complaint lately whenever we eat out: PLEASE, local chefs!! Take it easy with all that salt! My husband is a cardiac patient, but even before that, we've used very little salt in our diet. Can't we just let the lovely flavors of our locally-sourced ingredients speak for themselves? Can't we add our own salt at the table if we want to? I ended up taking nearly all of my chicken and vegetables home to see if I could somehow get rid of some of that salt! And I did! I had to rinse it, veggies and all, and peel the chicken, but after that it was very tasty when I reheated it for my dinner tonight. One lovely surprise that was much appreciated: When I opened my to-go box tonight, our server had lined the bottom with parchment, so none of the juices from the chicken or veggies had leaked through the box! What a thoughtful touch! Portland no longer allows plastic or styrofoam food packaging, which we wholly support, but sometimes our left-overs create quite a mess before we arrive home or while stored in the fridge. Thank you, Olympia Provisions, for taking that extra step and lining the box with parchment! We'll probably return again, but I will definitely ask the chef to back off on the salt. It's just too, too much. Our fresh Northwest ingredients don't need it, and neither do our bodies!

I really loved brunch here. We got here at a perfect time one Saturday as we probably missed the rush. We were sat very quickly with our service soon to follow. We ordered meat platter with cheese and two brunch items that were both delicious. The coffee was cold brewed I believe and was really amazing! I will be back to try their dinner as well soon!

I've eaten here several times for brunch and never really cared to write about it. It was good, standard brunch fare, everything comes with an egg etc etc etc. However, we finally made it here for dinner and I was blown away! We sat at the bar, so we were watching the kitchen staff do their thing. It was good entertainment while waiting. We order the cherries to start, which were fresh and paired well with the goat cheese. We also order the jasmine rice and the roasted shrimp. The jasmine rice was so good. One of those dishes you say, I could eat this everyday! The roasted shrimp was equally as good. We had halibut and chicken. The chicken was so unique and tasty, with a cheddar bread pudding. Serve here is always Portland quick, and nice. Atmosphere is neutral, I wouldn't necessarily come on a first date as it can be noisy, and not overly intimate.

We went here with friends and shared a few Olympic Provisions charcuterie boards and appetizers family style. The sausage (made in house) is incredible and probably the best I've ever had. Loved the mix of olives, nuts, bread, veggies, and cured meats on the charcuterie boards. The service was prompt and friendly and the meal was PERFECT. I loved the industrial (but cozy!) feel of this location. This is a great place to go with friends!

This was the best meal we had on our trip to the Pacific Northwest and, believe me, there many good meals to be had! This one was the winner, though. First of all, the ambiance: the building is very industrial-looking in an industrial neighborhood. In fact, you can barely tell that anything is there when you drive by. Inside, the restaurant is on the smaller side, with wooden tables, a large bar, exposed beams and pipes in the ceiling, and legs of curing meat hanging behind the bar. It was very warm and comfortable and cozy. The drink list was fabulous. My husband had a unique cocktail called the Andalusian Prince (or something like that), which he ended up ordering a couple of. I appreciated the very extensive wine list. I started off with some bubbly, then we ordered a bottle of red wine to compliment our meal. I can't remember exactly what it was called, but it was from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. To start: we ordered the chef's choice sampler board of both meats and cheeses, served with crostini. I can't tell you the exact names of all the different meats and cheeses, but I CAN tell you that there was not one that I didn't love! My favorite was a pate with pistachios in it. Delish! For an entree, my husband and I shared the beef short rib. It just fell of the bone, it was so tender and rich. I highly recommend this entree for sure. For dessert, we had a selection of fresh cookies and a nectarine tartlet. Both were fabulous. We couldn't even finish all of the cookies (served with a glass of milk, of course). The service was attentive, and our server was happy to offer us suggestions and explain things. If you want a unique, creative, sumptuous, and above all, DELICIOUS meal in Portland, go to Olympic Provisions. You won't regret it.

7 of us showed up without reservations on a Saturday night around 6pm which isn't that smart in Portland. Within a few minutes they cleared the bar for all of us & we got to watch the masters at work. They were preparing all the food right in front of us. The waitstaff, bartenders & cooks were all super nice and the food was excellent. We had the tomato salad, oysters and various types of salamis & everything was fantastic. The drink menu was really cool too. All in all we had a great experience in another one of Portlands gems. Highly recommended.

We've been in food heaven for the past week in Portland & thankfully we weren't let down on our last night. We had to wait a while for our reserved table to become free, but were furnished with cocktails as we waited & once seated all was well. The food was splendid. We had the chef's charcuterie & cheese boards (asking for the American options, which were delicious) then shared the asparagus & octopus small plates - which were faultless. I squeezed in a dessert (some kind of malty creamy chocolatey espresso pot, that deliciously did what desserts should do. The whiskey cocktails were top notch too & service throughout was charming, with lots of helpful menu advice. Delicious!

I met a friend for lunch here, and we enjoyed the French and Spanish boards. Good beers on tap. The charcuterie is lovingly prepared and correctly served. I would like to return to try the salads: the ones alighting on tables near us looked yummy. The servings are generous!

This place offered the best charcuterie board I've encountered yet. It was the Chef's choice and each of the 5 meats was incredible. The octopus was also very good. They were out of at least half of the entree menu. The service was good, but a little disorganized and overworked. It is in a cool old building in a hopefully up and coming neighborhood. I'd definitely go back for more charcuterie.

We met a friend here recently for dinner. We had a reservation and somehow they did not have a table for us. They seated us in what felt like an annex. Our friend who made the reservation asked nicely to be moved once a table opened up and they did move us shortly. One of the servers was engaged and helpful and the other one seemed like she was only there because it had air conditioning and her apartment did not. She shared that with us. Anyway, the food was good, the meats on the charcuterie were quite good, the cheese were also very good, although it seemed like there was not much cheese for the price we paid. Our friend had the clams which he found to be exceptional, and my partner's chicken dish was also very well prepared. My taglietelle was not memorable. The location is industrial. There was a group of people playing urban golf when we exited the restaurant and our friend had a broken taillight cover on his brand new car.

I didn't know there are two Provisions. The one on TV has the whole hog hanging and curing over the bar. This one has some ham legs hanging over the full bar. Although I was here at lunchtime on a Tuesday, I came to buy sausages. Four of them plus a hot dog to try. Deelish! Soppresatta, Arles, which is just pork & salt, Finnochino, got two of these, one to take back home to a pal. It would be fun to come and stay for a meal. The room is comfortable, service is good too.

I came here based on the reviews and it didn't disappoint. The chef's charcuterie plate was surprisingly generous and the two pates were great. As well as the manchego and gouda styles, the cheese plate included the most unique, funky Washington half goat half sheep cheese that took it to another level, too. I had a killer cocktail special cunningly named 'you can't handle the chartruth' which the lady who made it v. accurately described as a Pina colada for Manhattan lovers!! So good. The real winner tonight was the octopus, though. It tasted poached then grilled with a crisp outside and soft texture inside. The atmosphere is lovely - a mix of chic, hipster, and relaxed and cozy with helpful, friendly servers. Definitely one to repeat!

A group of us who really needed to catch up went for a Sunday brunch. It's great they take reservations because we didn't want to stand in line. The place was busy but not crazy and they let us hang out for three hours. it was wonderful. The food was pretty good. The poached eggs are small and very cute. Favorites were the benedict, kielbasa hash, and omelet special. the flapjack attack was nothing to write home about but a good size - enough for leftovers but not too much to overwhelm in spite of the description. It is a good option if you want both sweet and savory. They have smaller options for the less hungry. You can purchase their products at the counter and they had a couple of sausage varieties I haven't seen at the farmers market. The waitress was super friendly, flexible, and helpful. The place is bright and feels really pleasant. I would go back.

For actually finding this place and then going through the 3 doors that protect it from the out side world you are duly rewarded. The atmosphere is amazing it feels like someone blended a deli with a diner with a conservatory, I liked the vibe. The staff was very friendly and worked the establishment as a team, very impressive and enjoyable. The food however was the best part. I only had so much room to try things but I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the small plates or meat/cheese offerings. The brunch menu was stupendous, it made me drop my initial sandwich intentions and try their hash. The kielbasa was very rich and clean, the potatoes perfectly cooked. Sift through the construction and go!

Leave your vegetarian friends at home. You go here for their meats. And they are wonderful, especially the homemade sausages. Wow! We went for the chef's choice which was a combination of various selections. We had the 'winter density romaine,' a salad with pickled cucumbers as well as the steak tartare. Both were outstanding. The main course was CHOUCROUTE GARNIE | kielbasa, bratwurst, frankfurter, ham, braised cabbage, potatoes, and we shared that. More than enough for two. Have one of their chocolate salamis for dessert or better, since you are way too full by now, get one or all of the different ones to take home for another day. And of course, walk back to where you are staying because you'll need to get rid of the few extra pounds you just put on.

I'm a foodie tourist I had to try it all... $16 CHOUCROUTE GARNIE: tasty kielbasa, brilliant bratwurst, gourmet frankfurter, delicious fried ham, braised cabbage immersed with bacon, roasted baby potatoes, and accompanied by marvelous grain mustard. Everything in that bowl was amazing. I did order a side of bread, I love my carbs and love making mini sausage sandwiches. The kitchen is very open, grab a seat to the rightside of the bar if you want to see all the action. I watched a gal in the back spend 15 minutes expertly carving up some fresh thick bacon. Hipster chef was sauteing some shrimps and mussels to in some heavenly buttery sauce. I think all the sausages are made in house... ...I forgot to try their salamis...dang it! Next time!

Extremely high qualify food, feels very much like an old school European meat shop. We loved everything we tried, including their soup of the day, dog of the day, sandwich off the menu. Restaurant has a great feel. Couldn't have asked for a better lunch.

We visited the Olympia Provision at SE Portland based on the rave reviews it has garnered online. The restaurant's decor is eclectic, situated in a modified warehouse with high exposed beams and ceiling and minimalist decor. The restaurant was already half full when we arrived before 6 PM, - there are apparently plenty of Chacuterie fans in this fair city than we anticipated. We had the French plate with two French cured sausages (saucissons du jour), paté, pork rillettes (similar to pulled pork), Brie Fermier, pickled vegetables, and grain mustard. Everything was excellent particularly when paired with wine. BTW, the wine list was stellar and extensive. I also had shrimp and mussel stew, one of the best in my experience. The stew was listed under small plate and portioned as such. My wife, who's spent time in Norway and other parts of Europe, felt that the Chacuterie was unmatched to anything she's ever had in the US. Fair warning that this is an artisan establishment and priced as such. Also, menu in their SE establishment differs from the NW location. Highly recommended for those with deep pockets.

Pros: 1. The waitstaff will go above and beyond for you. We offhand mentioned that we loved the bread and olive oil but a coworker sadly couldn’t enjoy because she’s gluten free. Our waiter brought a plate of gluten free crackers for her to enjoy with our boards. I inquired about the type of olive oil used with the bread (delish) and our waiter gave me a small container to take to go. Very professional & knowledgeable about the products. 2. Diversity of offerings. They’ve paired the plates and boards well together to truly suit anyone’s palate. 3. Interior atmosphere. Cozy and hip: what you’d expect from Portland. Cons: 1. Location. If you’re driving, I could see this as a pro. We walked from our hotel across the Willamette and the neighborhood felt like a bit like an “up and coming/businesses trying to work the seediness out” type situation. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Portland!

We stopped by Olympia Provisions on Washington Street to pick up some cured meats to take with us as gifts and we were not disappointed. Not only was the staff great on helping us pick out a variety of cured meats such as their "Saucisson aux Noisettes" (Hazelnut Salami) or their Sweet Ham; they provided us with tastes of those items. Great flavors and they wonderful house warming gifts.

'This is my first time here. The staff is wonderful. The meals all look fabulous but I had to choose just one. We all had a different sample board and they were all excellent. Next time I will dry a sandwich and maybe some wine.

Great service and staff, fast and attentive waiters. The parking space was tight but enough. Free WIFI service is good. Wonderful homemade sausages and fresh French bread and homemade pickled vegetables. The freshness of the food was delicious and such a wonderful change from the food at many local restaurants.

this has become our go to late breakfast place when we visit Portland. The hanging ham hocks tells the story. this place takes its sausage seriously. The English Breakfast combines a sausage, beans and egg to get you through the day. My wife selected the French Board with its cheeses, bread and pates. I recommend getting there a little off hours since there can be a long line for the few tables. If you arrive to a line, walk to the front and get your name on the list.

I was expecting a provisions store where one could sample and dine on the fare you may want to buy to take home. It is indeed a restaurant -- but not the salumiere I thought it might be; none of the charcuterie is made on site. After standing around inside, being ignored by several staffers serving at the counter and tables out on the street, we seated ourselves -- nobody else was seated inside. Our temerity was quickly rewarded by the waitress asking us to move several tables closer to the door, where she could better serve us and the two couples seated outside. I know, I know, it must be hell serving three tables at once. Now to the menu: Many of the plates are chef's choice, meaning you get what the chef wants to put on your plate (likely what they need to get rid of) than what you'd like to taste. Isn't that the whole purpose of sampling the provisioner's fare, so you can go on to buy what you'd like to take home with you? Apparently not. Any discussion about what you'd prefer and what you dislike is rebuffed with it'll be chef's choice only. As it was, of just two cheeses on a cheese plate, one was specifically of a kind my wife said she did not want. The charcuterie plate was an interesting mix and enjoyed by all, but once again we couldn't specify the meats we wanted to sample. So we kinda enjoyed the meal but went home empty handed, having sampled none of the things we thought we might buy for home. Think of this as a restaurant, not a provisioner, and you'll likely enjoy it more than we did. And for heaven's sake, do not seat yourself -- else the waitress will not be amused.

Located in the industrial just off the river, Olympia Provisions was a great find during Portland Dining Month. Their three course offering included choices, but who wouldn't have the charcuterie at a place famous for it? The main course portion was huge, and we ended up taking enough home for another yummy dinner. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. The seating space room is larger than it looks but can get noisy with the tall open ceiling. Some added bonuses: You can buy bottles of wine to take hoe, and they sell their hard sausages with a much broader selection than stocked in local grocery stores.

Drove from Seattle to experience "olympic provisions" as seen on Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. Ordered several items. Chefs Choice Charcuterie, Chefs Choice Cheese, and the Shirt Rib. Both the meat and cheese platters were disappointing. The short rib on the other hand, was quite delicious, especially when you dip into the egg yolk from the sunny eggs. A bit over priced for the flavors, though. I also was disappointed that there was no pig hanging on the wall like the show. I would have payed much more to try that. Wouldn't go back.

I have known of Olympia Provisions for years and for some reason have never eaten at the restaurant. Just stahp it! This food is crazy incredibly good! I had the peppercorn pate sandwich which is one of the greatest foods I have ever eaten. My friend had the choucroute bowl and shared with me. Every single bite is amazing. The sausages, the pate, the pickled vegetables, every thing is insanely good. And our server was very nice and helped with recommendations. Go there immediately!

There are a lot of sausage makers in Portland, but Olympia Provisions is at the top of my list for the quality and variety of meats they offer. And the restaurant has some amazing dishes. We always buy just about some of everything they produce when we are in Portland,, even though we bought their Olympia Provisions Charcuterie book so we can make our own sausages at home. Even if you don't make your own, the book is also a great read.

We stumbled on this great euro-style restaurant on the way to a nearby brew house. Having lived in Switzerland near the French and German boarders, we were excited to find a selection of meals in the "cured meat" genre that sent us back to Alsace! Outstanding European wine varietals to match. After a great salad we shared the Choucroute garnie - amazing. Great service as well.

Exceptional food and service! The Spanish board, oysters and tartar were killer! Don’t miss out on the pork chop or the short rib! A feast and well balanced food, perfectly seasoned and the sauces knocked it out of the park. Dessert sealed the deal. The flavor was all there. Let’s not forget Sloan was so knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Bravo SE!

My wife and I along with our best friends had dinner here last weekend and it was great choice. I can highly recommend the braised short ribs, they are out of this world. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from SE Portland, a little eclectic, a little trendy, full of people that just want to hang out and have great food, maybe some wine or a good beer. The bread and dipping oil is truly the best I have ever had. It reminded me of the popovers I used to get as a kid. To bad they wouldn't sell me a few loaves.. This is a must place to eat and as an added treat you can purchase some of their incredible meats to take away. (3 types or chorezo)! Cheers!

Ate here on Sunday with my sisters as our last stop in town. Had the classic ham benny - so good! Portion was generous and could barely finish as it also came with a big helping of laser cut potato. Definitely the best brunch i've had in a while. SE Washington location is small and busy - great atmosphere and friendly service.

settle in to some small plates or entrees. Order set boards of cheeses and cured meats, or go with the chef's selection, which we did mostly out of curiosity. Cheeses were very tasty, brie was great, meats had a lot of flavor, some spicy, one pate' no one liked. Apple salad was superb. Entrees chosen were italian sausage, pot roast and spatzle. Mixed reviews on the spatzle, the others were very good and would be ordered again. Same for choclate torte with eggnog ice cream.

Excellent service from the beginiing until the end. Have the French platter of charcuterie. its so good that i purchased 3 saucisson to go! i also purchased their book. very nice ambiance. i will go back on my next trip to portland

We stopped at Olympia Provisions with family for lunch and were pleasantly surprised! The Chef's Choice meat board was a great way two sample many of the meat offerings. Several in our group raved about the Reuben sandwich, and "The Randy" sandwich was exceptional, with ham, apples and blue cheese. Service was excellent, parking is the only drawback.

Fantastic place for great food. Loved the internal look, looks like a European bistro. I had a spicy chicken sandwich minus the bread, and the composition was not only appealing to look at but the flavors interesting and diverse. Spicy, creamy provolone, crispy crust, cool slaw and jalapenos for additional heat. I was wowed by the simple vinaigrette with a mustard flavoring (I don't like mustard) and was looking for more greens it was so tasty. They give you tons of chips to boot. My husband had the smoked chicken salad, again a tasty hearty mix. Not sure which I liked more. I will be back for sure the next time I am in Portland. This is a place not to miss!

Great menu, especially for meat lovers. Go hungry and leave nourished! They have several twists on eggs Benedict including smoked trout, spinach Florentine and traditional. Diners tip: make a reservation

We finally had a chance to stop by Olympic Provisions (now Olympia Provisions) in southeast Portland a few weeks ago to enjoy a hearty brunch. We have enjoyed their sausages from their Beaverton Farmers' Market booth for several years, but never had a chance to stop by one of their restaurants. This location is in the industrial district around the railroad tracks just off of the east bank of the Willamette River. There are other popular local eateries in the area including Boke Bowl, Clark Lewis, and Bunk Sandwiches. Parking is on-street only, so it may be a bit challenging during work hours to find parking close in. The restaurant's front door is a rather low-key and non-descript pair of doors with an unlit sign above the doorway. Once inside, you're greeting with the famous lightbulb-stuffed "MEAT" sign that graces the background of many of their photos. Carnivores, you have found home! We waited about twenty minutes to be seated because they were busy. There is seating at the counter which would be a foodie's heaven, as the sausage/meat case sits on top of the counter and the seats at the counter face the food prep area, including the grill. The restaurant's air regularly contains delicious wiffs of what is being prep'ed on the cooktop, and it just adds to the fun of being in the restaurant. We ended up in a booth/table near the door. Service was good, attentive and friendly. The choices are a wide variety of tempting delights. My wife opted for the English breakfast while my son and I ordered breakfast hashes. The English breakfast was excellent. The hash arrived hot in large cereal bowls--not what I was expecting, but really perfect as-is. A single serving of hash is a hearty meal there, so come hungry. There are a number of items on the menu that we would like to try during our next visit. Definitely worth a try if you want a hearty treat in a casual atmosphere.

You don't find this restaurant by accident so be sure to have a map. But OMG you will be glad you went. It is hardly a secret so reservations are recommended but there are seats at the bar which offer quite an entertaining view of the food preparation. Everything we had was mouth-wateringly excellent. The Chef's cheese platter and Chef's meat platter were fantastic appetizer trays. My party tried four different entrees and we were all swooning they were so good. Do not miss a chance to eat here, just don't get lost. Also, the staff was great and very helpful.

If you’re a meat lover, you must eat here! The meat and cheese trays are to die for. My boyfriend got the rib roast and it basically melted onto the fork. Very tender and tasty. This place has a cool environment too! It doesn’t have a ton of seating so if you’re going with a group of people, call ahead to make reservations. Highly recommend!

Great place for cheese, wine and cured meats. Start with the boards and a local wine; they are pretty good.

It was a last minute decision on our way to Portland for dinner. They started us off with daily made focaccia bread with a delicious dipping oil, we thought that was all we needed. But then we ordered the Spanish Board, with a side of blue. The meats were so tasty, and then added with the cheeses and the honey raisin side we thought we could eat this every day. Then we added the heirloom tomato salad with burrata which was so fresh and delicious with shaved cabbage and cauliflower that gave it a nice crunch. We had to try the polenta and added the italian sausage, it was amazing. As if we hadn't had enough, the peach pastry desert was the perfect ending! We were in a food coma. I am so glad we made the decision to stop by. The wait staff was very nice and offered lots of good advice on food and drink.

We ordered the Italian Board, oysters, salads, olives and drinks for dinner, dark chocolate cake for dessert.. All beautifully presented, very delicious. Best of all the two very busy waitstaff that looked after us made us feel very much at home, patiently offered good advice as we worked our way through the menu. Espresso would be a nice addition to the menu.

I recently had the opportunity to try some samples, and let me just tell you YUM! The rep Kaila was awesome and knew her stuff, a fan for life!

In the heart of an industrial area, this place was a super find. Thus was the SE location on Washington. I understand there is another in northern Portland area. Our meal (all three of us settled on the same special brunch dish) consisted of super fresh fried eggs over a medley of heirloom tomatoes with a wedge of baked potato slices. Along with coffee so good it did not need cream, the meal was outstanding. I now know that they do take reservations and will do that in the future but do note for lunch your party must have 5 or more. We had a 40 minute wait and that can grow the appetite. I did notice that they have a full bar for those who might be interested. This is one place I will definitely visit again

A wonderful restaurant for Brunch and if you like charcuterie. Their eggs benedict are truly delicious, the meat plates are great, with on-site made charcuterie and local cheeses. Brunch drinks are tasty. Nice atmosphere Recommend highly

This industrial chic location camouflages a much more sophisticated eatery. The neon sign facing the street just say "restaurant". Inside, it just says "MEAT". Although they are primarily known for their cured meats, which are outstanding surprisingly EVERYTHING is great. I never pass on the steak tartare. Rivals anything I've had in France. But where it truly gets interesting, the pickled vegetable plate was out of this world. Especially the pickled plums! I prefer to sit at the bar and watch the "show". When I told them how much I loved the plums they brought us more. And they looked like I had just told them how cute their kids were. The roasted vegetables with pesto may have been even better. Some of the best pesto I have ever had. So whether you are a meat and potatoes person, or a vegetarian, Olympic Provisions will not disappoint.

IT's a bit off the beaten track from downtown Portland. They have a tremendous selection of meats cured in house and cheeses and selection of wines. Although it is in a warehouse district - once inside - it is a nice ambiance and comfortable. We had a cheese board, a meat board and a burrata salad. All were excellent. There are also some nice (and reasonable) choices of wine by the glass. Our server was very attentive and it was a nice, relaxed dinner.

Portland Oregon is imbued with a host of stellar eating establishments, however Olympic Provisions surely rests at the pinnacle. Located in the very industrial section of the inner eastside, OP is somewhat hidden in an old building and stepping through the vestibule door is almost like stepping through the looking glass...and once you're in, be ready for a culinary adventure. Each dish is prepared by masterful artists, and if you're lucky enough to sit at the bar, you can watch as they are concocted. Charcuterie is beyond compare, cheese selection undaunted; servers know pairings expertly. If possibly, make many trips to this restaurant so you can try all the dishes, multiple times!

We had dined at Olympia’s establishment in NW on two previous visits, but this was our first visit to the SE location. The neighborhood is mostly light industrial — arguably not quite as nice as the leafier NW setting — but the restaurant itself had a similar aesthetic and vibe. We started our brunch sharing the small bread pudding French toast, which was tasty and a little denser than I had anticipated. For mains, our party enjoyed the hot cakes with maple syrup and orange butter; the Yukon potato hash with sprouting broccoli, leeks, sunchokes, and kielbasa, topped with a poached egg; and the house-made biscuits and sausage-bacon gravy — all of it very good. Our server was good too: on top of things without being too present.

We went to Olympia (formerly Olympic) Provisions SE for dinner during Portland Dining Month, eager to try a new spot and take advantage of the $29 pre fixe menu. The restaurant is in the corner of a large, former warehouse and is nicely appointed with industrial style seating and an ample bar. One of the reasons we chose this place is that they offered 2 different choices for the 3-course meal. I chose the shaved radish salad with garlic lemon vinaigrette, seared chicken thighs on white beans with ham and salsa verde, and milk chocolate panna cotta with candied hazelnuts. The courses were preceded with warm, soft, and delicious foccacia served with herbed olive oil. Although everything was delicious, my favorite course was the panna cotta that was rich, silky smooth, and served alongside a dollop of whipped cream and 2 small buckwheat/chocolate cookies. The only fault, if any, was that the service was rather slow. It took the waitress 15 minutes to take our drink order. Once we ordered the bread came out immediately, and the rest of the meal was served in reasonable, but not rushed amount of time.

Had a romantic dinner with the wife. Good food, good wine, good service. Cant say enough about the experience.

Housed in an industrial area with meat hooks on the wall, this restaurant is meat focused but not at the expense of a balanced meal. The themed charcuterie board and the cheese boards are a must, the olives were great, the salads fresh. All the other dishes showed thought and great ingredients. Good wine list and helpful service. Excellent

We’ve purchased and enjoyed Olympia’s salamis for years and finally found our way to their eatery tucked away amidst the post industrial area of east side Portland. The generous portions on their charcuterie French Board was a pleasant surprise and more than sufficient to share. Everything was top quality with ample portions of a wide selection of meats. Picked veggies were tangy and diverse. The mixed greens salad was a bit lack luster for me as salad is one of my mainstay meals so I always expect more. However, the picked egg was a masterpiece. In 25 years I have NEVER had a decent one in Portland until now. It was the quintessential pinnacle of egg pickling and I would crawl over hot broken glass for the recipe. A grateful bow to the maestro who created it and I will definitely be back for more.

I ordered online from this place. I ordered 4 kinda of salami. There were small but all pretty good. I’ve never had this kinda of thing before and I liked it.

Hands down, this was the best breakfast I've ever had. Everything was made in-house, and far surpassed any other "in house artisanal made blah blah blah" joint I've visited. The Benny was outstanding, and the special sounded so good my boyfriend and I ordered one to share IN ADDITION TO what we had already eaten. Ever since, I've been dreaming of the day I can go back.

I'm usually and ham and cheese kind of guy when it comes to sandwiches but my wife wanted to have lunch here and as any married man knows, a happy wife is a happy life so we went for lunch and I'm glad we did. I had the steak sandwich, my wife had the French board and our son had the tarragon chicken salad, all were delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Olympia Provisions.

We visited the NW store today, the food was amazing. The French Charcuterie Board featured saussion two varieties, pork terrine, pork rilette, grilled pork sausage, Brie, pickled vegetables, mustard and bread. This is pork lovers heaven. The staff are really helpful and happy to help with any questions. A must when visiting North West Portland

The food is good, restaurant was packed but is small. We had meat, cheese and a small plate. Not sure if I would consider this in the top 50 in Portland though.

We were visiting Portland, and we found this to be a perfect place for lunch. And, as we're leaving Olympic Provisions after our delicious lunch, we met a very nice young lady who looked familiar. That nice lady happened to be Tobin Heath!

This is a great place the food terrific Lighting if you go in evening not so great The portions are pretty big so when it says large plate really for 2 people or more We had oysters and then shared a small charcuterie (good for at least 2-4 people) and then had bowl of soup and stuffed calamari and we were stuffed but made room for delicious chocolate pudding Staff were good but beware portions larger than you think

Excellent food and service. They were serving their Brunch Menu and we ordered the omelette, the Benedicts and my daughter ordered a gift box as a gift for friends.

The "Olympics" stepped in thus the name change. Wonderful small plates and large plates of food in an old warehouse setting. A great bar as always with most places in Portland. And, of course, lots of fresh foods. Meats, cheeses, pickled things, cold, hot, and salads. They also have ice coffee! The service is great! A wonderful dining experience. Great desserts as well.

The Randy. The best sandwich you will have. The bread is perfect, crispy on the outside, but not roof of mouth shreddingly so. It is soft in the middle, and perfectly sauced. There is the surprise crunch of hazelnuts. Just order it and eat it. Get a board too for some variety.

This is a fun place to be. I love their pickled veggies with meat dishes. Great ambience for date nights.

Stopped here for a snack after hitting a nearby distillery. We always seem to get rather indifferent service here, which is a shame. Food is good - got a cheese board, charcuterie, pickled veggies. Wish the service were better.

Olympia Provisioning is a hole-in-the-wall City restaurant. Be prepared to eat meat. We tried the Italian Board Charcuterie which was great fun. We learned that Charcuterie is a branch of cooking devoted to prepared meat products, such as bacon, ham, sausage, terrines, galantines, ballotines, pâtés, and confit. Ours had salamis, cheeses, sausage, fennel-parsley saled and olives. The server was quietly proficient.

Interesting European type restaurant in an industrial area that has a glaze of hip. Small and large plates plus appetizers with some ingredients not often seen. Of the small plates, we favored the octopus and pork cheeks, and enjoyed the unusual sliced crispy pig ears. The roasted calcots (onions) were fun to share, as was the big chicories salad with a Caesar-type dressing, but the romesco sauce with calcots was a real stand out — tomatoes, peppers, nuts — we would have bought a jar if they’d had one! The complementary focaccia bread was delicious. Our less favorite dishes were the braised ribs, a little too much like pot roast, and the beets, which relied too much on a yogurt sauce. I also was not crazy about the orange wine that I tried. We thought made we’d need to order one of the European charcuterie boards but we were full. We did manage to try the chocolate salami, which was intriguing but probably a one-time thing. Our server was well informed and nicely accommodating. (She even concocted some ginger beer, well done.) The propane heaters on the table kept us cozy outside on their funky terrace. We forgot to even look at what the inside was like, except for a glimpse of a cool bar. We’d definitely try it again.

I was in town for a conference and was craving some pâté. Walked from the conference center to Olympia Provisions for perhaps the best lunch I had in my entire trip. I had a great sandwich with a couple of appetizers and was pleasantly suprised by the myriad offerings, given the size of the kitchen. Well, it was so good that I decided to go there for dinner. Unfortunately some of the fermented radishes had some rather unpleasant off flavors, but everything else was good. I would recommend this place, especially for lunch.

Mid Week Lunch foursome each really enjoyed our sandwich choices.Quality meats and ingredients on very nice rolls. Service was friendly and timely. The only difficulty was parking. It took quite a while to find street parking after dropping off my fellow diners. After circling for 10 minutes I found a spot three blocks away.My waiter said I was lucky to find a spot within 10 minutes since it is so limited in this area.

Here on a Thursday for lunch! Seated immediately with our 3month old. Delicious meat meals! So happy with our first meal stop in Portland!

We ate here and the meals were exceptional. Service was very good. One the best was a tuna appetizer

We were a group of ten people looking for variety - some of us are vegertarian and others meat eaters. We came for a birthday celebration and started with different appetizers including meat and cheese platters, CHEF’S CHOICE (Chef’s selection of five meats, pickled vegetables, grain mustard) and CHEF’S CHEESE BOARD (Chef’s selection of three cheeses) as well as FRIED ALMONDS and HOUSE MARINATED OLIVES. For our main course, everyone ordered something different - Small and large plates of vegetarian and meat-lovers food! Everything was delicious! Service outstanding! We left a 25% tip it was so good and the wines the waitress recommended were spot on!

The wife and I popped in here for an early lunch over the Christmas holidays and were very impressed. The service was great and the food was even better. The spaetzle was better than I get in Germany, it was actually more like mushroom risotto. The frankfurter was amazing as well. Many other meat-centric dishes on the menu, we will definitely come back for more!

All roads are not paved or smooth, but sometimes it makes the adventure just slightly more fulfilling. Just such a path of cracked unmaintained road on Washington Street will lead you to Olympia Provisions. The bumpy journey into a small industrial zone will take you to a place as unpretentious as the area it adorns, And just maybe that's the setup, to lower your expectations or limit your reliance on reviews, but honestly you will not be disappointed, the fair unique and superbly executed with the easy cadence that only an experienced staff can deliver. If you have gotten this far in my review your perfectly suited to the amazingly causal and stunningly delicious experience provided by Olympia Provisions.

Super great choice for brunch and/or dinner. Every bite delicious and definitely a carnivore designed delight. Very cool geeky wine selection with well versed and knowledgeable staff. I love this place and visit whenever I am in Portland. Bravo for keeping it amazing over the years!

This place is so great! We flew in to Portland for the weekend from Fort Lauderdale.. our first time visiting Portland too. After the 5.5 hour flight we arrived starving and ready for some unique Portland flavors. Our friends took us to Olympia Provisions and Chuck brought us a charcuterie plate that was HEAVEN! The meats were cured to perfection and made us so happy. We are shameless carnivores and ate everything! The pistachio pate was the BEST and I would recommend it to anyone!

I loved this restaurant, built in an old warehouse and reminiscent of an old fashioned butchers, tile and counter top, salami and cured/dried meats, wine on shelves. The food was excellent - simple, very tasty european dishes, good sized portions, shareable dishes. We were a party of six and the server was knowledgeable, friendly and I would highly recommend this. We had a vegan in the party, and he was able to find sufficient choices on the menu, despite the meat leanings of the venue. Highly recommend this.

We went for late lunch/early dinner, and it was a small menu but everyone found something delicious. I had the chef's meat tray and the chef's cheese tray with some beer. So good! The service was above and beyond. The server was very knowledgeable, had great recommendations, and was super nice.

The food was very good. We seat at the chef's counter which was al little loud, but it made an interesting dining experience watching the chefs work. The French Board and the shrimp and mussel stew were great. The flavor of the braised octopus salad was good, but we didn't like the texture of the octopus because it was kind of mushy instead of chewy.

We walked from downtown and its quite a hike, But once there we were in heaven, a great wine list (we had an incredible Rose from Spain) and some of the best charcuterie platters I have ever had. We ordered two, the Spanish and Italian and they were so good we ordered the French also. Strongly Recomended.

Portland has quite a few very good restaurants, but this place really shines. We were in town for a week and had a number of tasty meals and treats, but our dinner at Olympic Provisions was the best we had. The charcuterie plate featured several different types of house-cured salami, each of which was packed with complex flavor. Each of us got a seafood small plate as an entree, an odd choice for a salumi joint. The grilled octopus was tender , but stood up perfectly to the salsa verde. The shrimp & mussel stew was very flavorful. Both came with chunks of chewy house-made chorizo that offered a perfect counterpoint to the seafood. Even without full-sized entrees, we were too full for dessert.

Such a yummy place! We ordered the French and Italian boards, not enough brie so we asked for a bit more! Also enjoyed the tartare, the artichokes, and the butter with anchovies that was so tasty we ordered a second round. Then of course, we had to purchase some of the sausages to take home.

Imagine waiting in line well before the start of the concert, paying 9 bucks each fir hot dog and a sausage only to find they were already out of ketchup and onions. Only had some relish and I ruined my blouse trying to get the last of the mustard out of the dispenser. Not please and definitely not worth the price.

Actually our food was excellent but I gave it a 3 as it is not a fancy, gourmet, must go to place. There were 8 of us and we shared a charcuterie and zucchini fritter, then ordered our meals. My combo burger of salami/beef was awesome. I loved it as was my friend’s skirt steak. Some people order various sausages which seemed okay. One has to look at the menu ahead and know where they are going.

Be sure to have a Bloody Mary, and order the classic benedict. I have a feeling, anything you have will be wonderful!!

Went in with the family for breakfast - eastside spot down on 1st and SE Washington. Nice place inside. Very attentive service and nice vibe in restaurant. I had the baked eggs - polenta, italian sausage poached egg with pesto on top. It was good, I would have enjoyed it even more if the sausage had just a little more spice to it - the dish was just a little bland for me. Others ordered the benedict - trout and ham - both were excellent.

This was the best restaurant we visited in Portland. There was amazing food and it wasn't too expensive. It had a very good vibe to it. The staff where nice. You cannot miss this if you are in Portland!

We knew it would be good since they are supplying the majority of charcuterie plates in Portland area...we were not expecting such warm people in a great casual environment. If you are looking to eat like a european - a lot of meat and cheese - this place is for you! Great selection of international wines and beers; friendly service, great food and an overall good time!

Seriously wonderful place to eat. When I first looked it up, I thought it was a shop, not a restaurant. But it is both! First of all when you walk in, you think you are in Europe. Lots of dark wood, small tile on the floors, servers wearing great big white aprons. AND - the sausage bar. I know that isn't the right name, but if it were Japanese we'd be calling it a sushi bar. Refrigerated areas full of sausages and pates with a big plate of rillette en croute on top. We got a nice (and not over priced) bottle of Willamette Valley wine. Then a chef's choice charcuterie plate. One of us had the choucroute and the other the shrimp/clam/chorizo dish. Knowing our limits, we ate slowly to try and maximize what we could eat. Every bite was better than the last. Each item on the charcuterie plate was heaven (rillettes, pate, several different sausages). Honestly, I could have stopped there. But I would have hated to miss the perfectly cooked and fresh shrimp and clams - spiced by that chorizo. And the kraut (was it house fermented? I think so) was perfection - and the sausage with it ... oh there are no words. I have to say - I am not a huge carnivore - but this place can change me! I asked them to cut a pound of lemony salami to take home with me - so glad I did. I also joined their sausage club, so I will be enjoying them all year long. The negative? I was too stupid to take home a few rillette en croute. They looked like the perfect picnic food!! I had the very best time here. Service was absolutely perfect. Friendly and very helpful. The guys behind the counter, while busy, were happy to answer my questions. Go - you will really enjoy your lunch (even if you just have sandwiches like the guys next to us).

I must say I was pretty disappointed with Olympic Provisions. I love their cured meats and so I was very interested in visiting the restaurant. My pork chops were extremely dry, the beer selection was extremely weak. The charcuterie board we got was very small but at least the dessert was good. I won't be returning.

Olympia Provisions is my go-to place for a special brunch, especially when I'm entertaining out-of-town guests. First of the all, the space is gorgeous with lots of natural light and thoughtful design touches. More importantly, the food and cocktails are incredibly well curated and delicious. I especially love the Spanish charcuterie plate and eggs Benedict but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

If you are looking for a fancy plate sharing place focusing on meat (and cheese), what a great place! We had the Italian charcuterie and daily cheese board, followed by the cassoulet. All were excellent! We also had the raisin jam which was phenomenal! Next time we will figure out how to save room for dessert! Parking was not bad in the evening.

This place is an absolute gem, and I would highly recommend going for brunch. Try a charcuterie board, even if you're there for breakfast food - they are DELICIOUS and 100% worth it. I highly recommend making a reservation (they take OpenTable!) as it gets nice and busy on the weekends. Give the Flapjack Attack or Biscuits and Gravy (eggs over easy) a try - you won't regret it!

We're so glad we tried this place out on vacation. Excellent choices if you are keto (I am) or vegetarian (son is). Salted & fried almonds were tasty. Spanish meat board and 3-cheese board were very good. Even the mocktail was superb. This restaurant has such a fun and hip vibe! My son kept saying, "this place is lit!" Servers were excellent. Very friendly but also exceedingly professional.

We enjoyed the unique and creative menu, great service and cool vibe. Loved the experience, although there was quite a bit of cooking smoke in the air, which kind of burned our eyes. It did not diminish our enjoyment significantly, however.

If you are planning on dining here, please order a charcuterie plate and/or a cheese plate. The small and large plate options are fine for dinner but it's the meat that shines at this place. The SE location is tucked in an industrial location so you could easily miss it. The wine menu has good options as well as a good cocktail menu.

We were recommended to eat by the beer tender at hair of the dog and it was a perfect recommendation. Would eat here again and again

Olympic Provisions is in a super cool spot in an industrial area. You walk in and the smells of amazing cured meats and delicious small plates overwhelm you. Definitely try the Mortadella sandwich and the Sausage and braised cabbage dish on the lunch menu. Would love to grab a hipster dinner here. Definitely try it!

I love this place , I will crave the food from this unique restaurant and will return here when I visit . Drinks are good & a nice selection of wine & mixed. Atmosphere is old , comfy , Woody , inviting and feels like home Service was friendly , nice & informative Oh my , the food is fantastic , delicious and fresh and their own meats are served. The Randy sandwich was great Salads were tasty The cheese & salami selection are beautiful I loved everything about this place & want to keep it my own secret , though feel the need to yell from the mountain top that this place ROCKS ! Now please don't tell everyone about my great find :)

I was hesitant to eat at Olympic provisions seening how I am a vegetarian. I was so impressed the food was amazing. My friends and I shared a cheeseboard and salad all delicious. And for my entrée I believe it was a blackened cod so delicious. They had great cocktails as well. Definitely will be coming back.

Incredible food, wonderful atmosphere in this interesting spot. Handicap access via elevator to a courtyard seating area gorgeously decorated with reclaimed wood. We tried the Italian meat and 5 cheese boards, and loved it all. Also orders the eggs Benedict plate, which featured the incredible laser potatoes. As we were reconnecting with out of state friends, we ended up spending about three hours here. Lots of coffee (delicious), cocktails and water was enjoyed. Creative cocktails as well as great standards, all affordably priced. We will definitely return here on our next visit to Portland.

After waiting for the 200+ car freight train to rumble by, we found some night street parking and exited the industrial zone into a place of salami and cheese goodness. Small plates are the general order of business here with a massive emphasis on European style, but locally crafted meats and delicious cheeses. The standout small plate was the steak tartare, although the bread cheese pudding with kasekrainer was also outstanding. This is a great casual scene with Edison lighting and a laid back feeling.

This was a great discovery in Portland, OR and we had one of the best meals ever here! The atmosphere was superb, customer service was excellent, and food was top notch. Loved the small menu and how the restaurant was tucked away in an industrial-looking neighborhood. We found the restaurant on YELP and it did not disappoint. We started with the pickled eggs, Charcuterie board and the Chef cheese board. The selection of cheeses on the Chef's board was amazing! For entrees we had the kielbasa and the roasted chicken… both were really good but the Kielbasa was to die for! We still think about how good the kielbasa was. If you are in Portland this is a must visit!

All in all, a great place for a cozy dinner. We were 8 with two young children and it was obvious they would rather not have us. The food was great, but the service stunk. Just more elitist Portland server attitude, I don’t get it this service with attitude thing that Portland seems to have. Oh well I digress. With all that said, if your into meat (I am) and wish to have a cozy dinner (wouldn’t suggest bringing kids), then I would recommend giving it a try..

We stopped off here and had there eggs benedict and charcuterie plate and I only ordered my cured meats from this place until I went to italy. This place makes some amazing food the way around. I order meats from their online store close to every month for gifts, entertaining snacks, or just for me to enjoy while being a fat kid on my cheat days. Wish there was one CA

Bar chairs not comfortable, and that's what they gave me as solo diner. Chicken was quite good and served with very interesting (and good) bread pudding, shrooms, etc. Could have used more herbs for my taste, but it was perfectly good. Nice chef, whereas the waitress was a bit hauty. Limited menu in breadth. I'd go back. Some people casual, some dressy.

This place is wonderful. Great ambiance, great food, wonderful wine list. There are two in Portand; this is in the industrial area, just across the river from downtown. No frills--a counter and a few tables, a wall of wine...very informal and welcoming and bound to become a huge success. Everything we had was outstanding, fresh and interesting. Salami, paté, salad, bread, pickled vegetables--one of the best meals we've had in a long time and the only frustration was that we couldn't order the entire menu. Maybe next time.

I've never seen another menu like this one. The lunch menu centers around charcuterie and sandwiches though they do offer two daily soups, 3-4 salads, and 2-3 main course-type dishes. I had a bowl of their meat soup of the day, which was basically veggie with some lovely slices of a lightly spiced sausage that added so much flavor and satisfaction. A bit of bread accompanied the soup. I also snuck bites of my dining companion's amazing salad--a take off of Caesar salad made with radicchio and frisee, topped with anchovies (optional of course). Delicious! Although I don't normally have wine at lunch, my companion insisted so we chose the rose and the sparkling choice, which was also a rose. Both were lovely and reminiscent of summer on a grey, wet February day. Fancy, this is not, it is located in the SE warehouse district with an almost nondescript entrance. It vibrates with an eclectic clientele in a setting with high ceilings and exposed pipes, a bar surrounded by numerous small tables. It provided an intimate ambience despite the industrial accoutrements. I would love to return to try the charcuterie and/or cheese boards after reading the recommendations. This restaurant marries the best of foods with a very unique location. Parking can be challenging midday, but there's lots of it around--look for folks leaving their spaces, go early or late.

We visit Portland to see family a couple of times a year, and there are many wonderful restaurants. This hard to find, poorly situated place offered the best meal I've had in years, and I go out a lot. The charcuterie board is just amazing, and everyone in our party had a delicious meal. The gingerbread with butter cream dessert had bits of apple and other fruit in it, maybe maserated in some lovely liquor. The black cod was perfection, and even the chicken thigh was beyond any chicken I've ever had. This was during the price fixe March event, but it looks like they're on their game every night. Attentive but not pesky service.

came here for an early dinner on a Saturday and took advantage of their happy hour menu selections of their in-house made meats & chef's daily selections .. great options, wonderful flavors ... fell in love with their steak tartar !!

Very nice place off the main districts. Good decoration with Spanish ham hanging on the walls, focussing on Spanish, Italian and French foods. Try the appetizer samplers, we shared the Spanish and French and we did not regret. I had lamb, would have given the place a five star to this nice restaurant had the lamb been a bit less cooked, still enjoyed it with the nice EggPlant, tomato, zucchini accompaniment reminiscent of Provence food. For dessert the home made sherbet with black berries, lemon and thyme was absolutely delicious. Had very nice pinots from Willamette valley, quite enjoyable a bit pricey (80-90$/bottles). Overall a place to recommend with original and tasty food, good products from Spain, Italy and. France. Definitely I would come back there to give it a chance for a five stars..

Went out to dinner with some friends - had a nice beer Litte Beast which was a nice IPA. Had the Short ribs which were very good - tender and nicely spiced.

Fantastic charcuterie in former industrial area of Portland. We had the chef's choice, along with the sweetheart ham, and it is some of the best cured meat I've had. Loved the kale salad and citrus as well. And a knock out Bloody Mary.

The only reason we didn't give a rating of 5 stars was the inattentive waitress who had but four other guests to attend to. Stopped by Olympic southeast today around 2:45 and sat at the bar. The chefs, as busy as they were finishing out and breaking down brunch, were helpful, friendly and interactive. Hubby and I went for charcuterie and cheeses which were all outstanding! One of the chefs took the time and care to explain each one. Would have loved a second glass of wine if the waitress had bothered to check in. The almonds and olives would have been great to try too if she gave us more than 5 seconds to make a decision and the history of how the business started, that she said she would print down... I guess you have to do your own research. Great food experience and the chefs will impress you! A must visit if it's you first time to Portland like it is for us.

Dinner for two couples. Did that "holy WTF?" thing when the bill came. Damn, did we eat and drink that much? It's easy to try a lot of things and spend some dough here, but the food is super tasty. The sausage, made in-house, was very very good. Salads were solid. It's practically immoral to visit here and not start with a charcuterie board. It's a very casual place. We remarked it would be an impressive date location or a good place for a celebrational dinner. For our little group of friends, very fun. Our server was cool and friendly. We had a table farther from the kitchen area and front door, almost in the building lobby, and we liked it back there a lot. Worth making a reservation.

This was our first meal on our Portland vacation and we weren't disappointed. The hams hanging over the bar let us know that these folks know their meat! :) Okay, the cheeses may be a little over-priced, but the selection was nicely curated. The charcuterie was excellent. Also, they have a pickler on staff, the pickled veggies were very tasty. Everything was excellent, including the cocktails. There are a couple salads for vegetarians, but otherwise, not much on the menu for them--our vegetarian friend got along just fine with no complaints. This place has an urban foodie vibe, but no pretentiousness.

Olympia Provisions SE is in a quirky location: an industrial building that has been converted into offices, plus space for a restaurant and a coffee shop on the ground floor. It was a really nice place for a long family lunch on Friday afternoon. The food was good, and the staff were really nice. Lunch took one hour and 45 minutes (from about 1:30pm to 3:15pm) -- possibly because we spent a lot of time talking, but there were also some really long pauses between each stage of the service. It felt like it took a really long time to prepare a few sandwiches and salads, especially since the restaurant was mostly empty at the time.

We enjoyed our meal here. We got a couple of the chef's boards to share. The food was interesting and not that generous in their portion size. That being said it was tasty. The service was a bit slow and we got a little antsy waiting for the food. But the atmosphere was nice and all in all it was a good experience.

Our group of 6 had a late dinner here after a full day of wine tasting. We got two charcuterie boards: the chef's choice and the grand Italian. Full of various salami, sausages, ham, pate, olives, cheese, pickled vegetables. What a great variety to try a bunch of different items! Also ordered the sautéed dumplings, octopus a la plancha, radicchio with walnuts, gorgonzola, apple, honey chili vinaigrette. Did a big family share. Got a variety of cider, ice coffee, wine, pomegranite and lime drink. The place is quite electric. You will need a reservation to dine here on the weekend night for sure. Ambience is great. The SE location is located in the industrial section, with plenty of off street free parking.

The ambience inside was excellent with great and helpful servers. Enjoyed the varieties of meat and cheese that we ordered as well as some great drinks. Definitely want to return!

We started with a chef recommended Charcuterie plate that was astounding in its perfect balance of flavors of meats, cheeses and olives. Then we moved to several sandwiches that we all shared so we could each sample and it was nearly impossible to decide which was best. Nearly, but not impossible, we all voted the BLT with Olympic Provisions Bacon and Heirloom Tomatoes eked out Best Overall Sandwich. Wait staff was knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. Hightly recommended. We are looking forward to trying them for dinner soon.

In a warehouse type of building. Serving 3 Recommend-starting with a charcuterie (we shared the French one-excellent Brie), small plates ( yummy octopus la plancha-fingerling potatoes with a delicious sauce, scallops and steak tartar) Didn’t get to the large plates-already getting full. Dessert-rhubarb ice cream Service- very nice and gave helpful suggestions.

Lots of restaurants are understaffed but the servers still go out of their way to acknowledge guests. Even though we had a reservation, we were not seated until 20 minutes after we arrived and were not served our first glass of wine until 45 minutes later. Once our server came by she informed us that the restaurant was out of many of the entrees so we settled on a charcuterie that tasted like it had been pulled off a shelf. We were very disappointed.

I am not a huge meet eater. I did find the lack of vegetables to be disconcerting. Because I tend to be more vegetable focused then meat, I had a hard time with the menu. I wound up with the burger which was good but sorry if a chest option. A salad would have been nice.

If you want only meat and nothing else this may be OK, but my "mixed green salad was actually a bunch of white stem reject parts of romaine lettuce with a little vinegar and mustard (seriously not another veggie in sight on the salad) The chicken entree had a very cold potato gratin and a small amount of pesto and nothing else. I guess if one goes here they should stick to the $60/per pound meat plates (actually $15 for 4 oz) or the cheese if you are looking for a balanced meal or if you cook at home and appreciate mixed plates this IS NOT your place

Went for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the corn soup special that was very flavorful and a Italian style charcuterie plate as my meal. Nice variety and very tasty meats. The rest of the group got breakfast dishes that were done very nicely. We left full and satisfied.

Odd space in an old warehouse... Kinda cold in there. Street parking is ok, but I can see where it would get bad during busy times. A little hard to find, the sign was kinda small. Started with some Pickled Eggs..... Nicely done and tasty, not to pickley. Cocktails were OK - Good. We ordered an Italian Board and Spanish Board. Both were good, but Spanish was better. Both came with a interesting selection of nuts, chutney, salads and basket of french bread. I thought a mixed selection of breads and crackers would have been a little nicer, but they gave us plenty of bread. All Charcuterie is made in house...! The Italian board had a variety of Salumi's and a Ham. All were good, but some didn't 'Wow' me. Mortadella has been favorite since I was a kid. I grew up with an Italian family, so I may be a little jaded... :-o Their Mortadella seemed to lack depth of flavor, but was very good for a house made mortadella. The Fennel salad was nice, as was the garlic sausage Tallagio cheese was nice addition. Leaving the casings on the salumi was a little annoying.... It peeled off easily, but..... The Spanish board was exceptionally good. Nice variety of styles and bold flavors. Everything on the board was very good! I'd like to try the French board next time. Service was mixed... Server was fast and friendly. Greeter seemed annoyed that we walked in the door. Eh! What are ya going to do? We'll be back...

Had a very nice brunch with my companion. Service was great, food very good. Had an egg benedict. I would swear the sauce was homemade and not out of a bottle, nicely piquant. We also had the charcuterie plate which was quite good.

Staff were on top of everything - fast, helpful & considerate. We had charcuterie boards, and they were all great. If I had a teensy quibble, it was being a bit cold, but that wouldn't stop me from going back.

Meat! Cheese! Salad with cheese! Dessert! MMMMMMMMMMM ok get my point!? This place rocks, nice to do the meat on a board thing or the Charcuterie as some of you may say. Just go and look at the menu and watch the magic happen if you sit at the counter. It's now better and nothing to hide when you can eat like that!

Interesting cocktail menu and wine selection. Delicious meat boards and sandwiches. Small, intimate setting. Be prepared for a little wait during peak times.

My husband and I met up with friends who also happened to be visiting Portland for lunch. We had reservations and were seated right away in a nice and open indoor spot. We shared wine, charcuterie, and each had a sandwich. Everyone was happy with the food, with the exception that my husband didn’t love the hotdog, but he liked it enough. I wish I would have been able to get the Italian sandwich, but it wasn’t on their brunch menu. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked “the randy” as a substitute. I would definitely suggest this restaurant for a fun lunch with friends. The server was also very friendly and nice.

We had a reservation for an outside table for 3 for lunch and when we arrived they told us the outside table was almost ready and to wait in the lobby of the building as it would be too clustered in the entrance area. 30 minutes later no one came to get us so we went back in to inquire. They had obviously forgotten about us and seated other diners outside. They then said there was no choice and seated us in the hot lobby because the outside was full. The lunch was overall so disappointing and the sandwiches were overpriced. I will not return.

My wife and I recently had dinner at Olympia Provisions and really enjoyed the meal. We started out with the French charcuterie plate and then went on to share an eggplant dish and an octopus dish. The charcuterie plate was great and the octopus dish equally so. Service was friendly and attentive. We would definitely go back.

Just dreadful. If you don't want much to choose from, go here. If you like being treated by the waitress as though you don't meet her minimal standards for a customer, go here. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

One of the best places outside of Paris/Europe for house-made charcuterie (cold-cuts) & European-style meals provided in an industrial part of Northwest Portland. Today for the first time I tried the classic Egg Benedict with Orange Hollandaise Sauce. OMG, it was a perfect choice; and different than any other Egg Benedict that I have ever had!!!! Go there for breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner!

had a quick sandwich on the way out of town, really great quality.....quick and friendly......would go again!

I think there are two of these, this review is the one on Thurman. Although this place was somewhat far down the Trip Advisor list and a little out of the way for our Broadway SW hotel, we hopped in a cab and gave it a try. Extremely good food (charcuterie oriented), no-frills decor, and very informed and friendly service.

Not a single complaint! Great drink/beer selection. Incredible cheese and charcuterie selection. All the entrees were also delicious. Service was impeccable.

So the building is very old, we sat under stairs, with a reservation and people walked up and down the entire meal. Charcuterie was great especially the Brie. Great Rapini with anchovies and orange salad. Tender and tasty octopus and a entree of a sausage sampler with sauerkraut. Great service and bar and food only next time no stairs.

Every time I come to Portland I dine at the Olympic Provisions in the SE neighborhood. It's location can be slightly hard to find if you are not familiar with the area, GPS it. They are famous for their charcuterie and they've earned it. My favorite dish is no longer on the menu, but I would recommend anything there. Breakfast is exceptionally good. Expect a long wait on weekends.

MEAT. The welcoming bulb-lit sign hints at what you will find within the SE location of Olympic Provisions. A wonderful assortment of old and new world small plates make for a fun family-style meal and tastes for everyone.

Although located off the beaten path in an industrial area SW of downtown, the restaurant is warm and welcoming in a typical Portland, unconventional way. The hostess was friendly, and although we had a brief wait for our reserved table, we were promptly offered a drink. The interior is industrial, but attractive, quirky and a great date place. We really enjoy the Olympic Provisions charcuterie and it was the main reason for visiting (not really sure why anyone who would not want it would visit). This is no veggie restaurant, but it is simply wonderful. We stuck to the charcuterie plates, cheese and the small plates and were well rewarded with our choices. The value and quality was fantastic, the service was prompt and friendly, and the food was delicious. The wine list is great - lots of variety, well priced with a range of price points, and not solely focused on Oregon pinot. We chose a mid range Rioja and were rewarded as it was a delicious and versatile accompaniment for the food.

Had an amusing experience there. I ordered a BLT sandwich. The fries were very good, but there was no 'B' (bacon) in the BLT. The bartender caught it & hurried over with some nice thick bacon slices to put on my bacon-less BLT. I joked that what they had originally brought out must have been the vegetarian version of a bacon, lettuce & tomato sandwich - minus the bacon! We all had a good laugh over it. Good service & a nice place to eat.

I ate lunch with two coworkers and had the hero sandwich. The bread was absolutely delicious. One of my coworkers ordered the cubano, that I was quite envious of. Wasn’t too cheap, and the chips were just bag chips. Good atmosphere, and a fantastic sandwich. I would eat here again!

Had my breakfast here before the game. Yummy. Started with a mimosa and followed with a snack of bread pudding French toast ( yep you read that right ) and for breakfast. Hash, potatoes, sausages, onions with two eggs on top(I added an extra egg) it's like a casserole amazing. Wish I could of gone back. All kinds of meats at the deli

Outstanding experience. We ordered the chefs choice meat board and cheese board. Delicious and highly recommended. B-Mary was spicy and perfect. Great wine list. Couple ordered sandwiches and hand crafted cocktails that looked amazing. A must when you visit Portland!

Loved our first visit to Olympia Provisions Northwest. We've eaten their great sausages and salami, but never visited their wonderful restaurant. Imagine long tables [they have small tables too] high ceilings, art and a comfortable vibe. Imagine too, impeccable service from casually dressed servers toting heaping plates of delicious food. We enjoyed roast chicken and their dish of mixed hams and sausages and loved every bite. Still, we had room for dessert!

This hard- to- find little restaurant is in a warehouse district of East Portland. Wish we'd had time for lunch, but we were on a mission to find local meats and cheeses to take on our national parks road trip and were not disappointed with our choices - Saucisson Sec with garlic, black pepper, and netmeg and Saucisson d'Alsace. Both were French style dried salamis - delicious. The restaurant was inviting and offered a large selection of sandwiches and charcuterie plates. A wide selection of their products are available online.

I came here with 5 of my work mates for dinner. We ordered several plates to share, so we got a lot of variety. My favorite was the halibut, my comrades loved the scallions.

So full of goodness. Honest handcrafted, top notch gourmet food. Will come back each time we visit PDX

This is an out-of-the-way place near the train tracks in southeast Portland. It's a meat place, so don't go expecting much vegetarian fare (thought it's there). They smoke their meat on site, thus the dining area can be smoky - if not visible, then certainly olfactory. You get over that quickly and are treated very well by the servers. If you like smoked meat, this is your place. Excellent charcuterie boards and cheese boards; both will fill you. Went for lunch and it was busy. The Mortadella sandwich was just plain scrumptious. Would go again in a heartbeat.

This was an unexpected revelation. We thoroughtly enjoyed the meats and cheeses. The atmosphere is like a diner, you share tables with others. We loved it!

Meat focused, but all-around an awesome place. The charcuterie board was amazing (we chose the spanish one). The cheese board was the daily selection and we tried every one of the large plates. None of them disappointed! We especially loved the chicken thighs, spaetzle and cod). Even the desserts were great (pecan cookie, rhubarb lime pie and carrot cake)

i remembered this place from one of Andrew Zimmern's food episodes and he visited the original location. after a full day of food, i stopped here for just the charcuterie and cheese board. Ordered the Italian Board and i enjoyed it! Yes i did find it a bit small and it was pricey for the amount they give you. The Italian board came with:2 different types of salamis, mortadella, capicola (this was my favorite out of the meats), an italian sausage, taleggio cheese (it was semi-soft Italian cheese. There's a thin crust, which i didn't eat. The cheese has a strong aroma but was mild when you eat it), fennel-parsley salad, and olives

Great food, charcuterie, sausages and brunch, as well as drinks. Highly recommend the Boards and the Kielbasa hash

Olympia Provisions Southeast is housed in a small space inside an interesting industrial building. The number of covers seemed very limited so reservations are probably a good idea, although there is seating at the bar. Brunch options were pretty limited, although there's also a long list of sandwiches. I must say though, everything our group ordered was very good. I particularly enjoyed the Flapjack Attack, which is pancakes, ham and bacon plus two eggs and their 'laser cut' potatoes. Service was reasonably brisk if a little impersonal. Prices also seemed reasonable, given the quality and ambiance.

Lunch hour visit, and I ordered 2 cheeses and their Deli Salad. The cheeses were delivered to the wrong table. It took 30 minutes to get the cheese and 45 minutes to get the salad. The salad was good enough to finish, but it was supposed to have some roasted vegetables and hazelnuts in it, but it did not have a trace of either of these two items. The waiter did bring a complimentary cheese to my table, presumably because she messed and the wait was horrible on a lunch hour so I had to eat fast in order to get back to work on time. Would give it another chance since this was my first visit and any restaurant can have a bad day once with me.
Paleo heaven with lots for the rest of them as well
If you like your meats cured, dried, exotic, laced with flavor, and with great presentation, you will love this industrial location on the east side of the river in the warerhouse district. Tasty combinations of various meats, sausages, cheeses (local and imported), together with salads and larger plates. The best option for the novice might be to launch into the space with five or six friends who all like meat, cheese, wine and beer, and then order the full spectrum of the Charcuterie boards, a few salads, and other delectables. A high ceiling and textured decor give this place an intimate but quiet ambiance in spite of its industrial aesthetic. Probably a "not to be missed" option for the first or second-time Portland visitor.
