Outstanding and memorable meal

By Bart Z |

Wow! So creative and delicious. Service was super personal and helpful. These are smallish plates meant to be ordered across the menu and shared. 3 to 5 per couple are recommended, but 4 is probably right. The Roti with dipping sauce was outstanding. Perfect texture and the coconut corn dip was really well balanced. I was eating it by the spoon, with and without the Roti! The Raita salad was a bowl of beautifully presented layers of flavor with the perfect balance of heat. The grilled chicken wings were really well seasoned and grilled, and warning: brought the heat! Really awesome outdoor seating. Be sure to ask your server about the availability of local wines!

Oma's Hideaway is a delicious restaurant! The flavors here are outstanding and unique, making every dish a delightful surprise. The staff is super friendly and laid-back, which adds to the whole casual vibe of the place. The atmosphere is lively and fun, perfect for a night out with friends. The cocktails – they're fantastic! If you're looking for a spot with great food, drinks, and a vibrant setting, Oma's Hideaway is the place to be.

Small dinner for a big price

Great innovative food but you will spending a lot and possibly come out hungry out of this place. The entrees look smaller than a standard snack and everything is about $20 or so. The taste is very good but the quantities of EVERYTHING is so small that it is almost less than having a snack so if u r hungry I recommend not going to this place.

Great Area to Walk- hip street and charming homes in area

Their creative food with interesting flavours with an Asian focus is great. Everyone seems to order their Asian bbq ribs or pork belly that come with a carmelized topping. Fun bar area with super cocktails (17.00 seems a lot though) Good area to walk after dinner- SE Division St. is energetic and hip and the surrounding streets with smaller historic homes and gardens that come right up to the curb are sweet and charming. Nearby SE Hawthorne Street is also fun to walk along. Hawthorne is more gentrified so more polished and chain restaurants are starting to come in while SE Division has a wider range of unique, small restaurants doing what Portland restaurants do so well by combining fresh, local ingredients to produce creative, unique menu items.

Do not go here

By August B |

We went to Oma’s on august 11th as a party of 6. My partner and I had a bill that totaled just under $87 and included a fee for a large party and a 20% tip (both clearly denoted on the receipt). We rounded up to $88. Today, my credit card informed me that these jokers added a FOURTY FIVE DOLLAR TIP. 20% gratuity was included (and clearly stated on the freaking receipt) so we did not add additional tip and they had the audacity to illegally try and steal money from us. Do not go here, they are thieves. Also!!! We only ordered drinks!!! An absurd price for 4 drinks and a small appetizer. AVOID THIS PLACE.
