I stopped in during a layover to fill a serious craving for outstanding food. I ordered the strip, and it was an interesting but delicious blend of ingredients. I also enjoyed a slice of pound cake and was stuffed. I wish I would’ve had room for sushi, but I will try that next time!

We actually dined here twice during a recent international trip....each time waiting on our next flight. Service was excellent.....we were never rushed. We had the same food each time. The flavor was good, the temperature was correct and time from order to the food on the table was great. We had lunch outbound and dinner on the return. Another thing, if you let the server know you are tight on time, they will get you food out quickly.

This is in the airport in terminal E. Great food. Ravioli and pulled duck sandwich were awesome. Ahi tacos and pork belly sliders also great. Nice wine list. Great place on an extended lay over.

So I got to the airport about 1.5 hours too early so I decided that I wanted a pretty good meal and I had the time to make that happen. Googled best food in Hartsfield Jackson airport and One Flew South came up. Made my way to terminal E and took a seat at the bar. Initially I wasn't very excited after looking at the menu and I actually thought about leaving. This is where amazing service came in. The two bartenders Vidal and Jacinte were great! I mean their service is top notch! Vidal recommended the Dirty South. Great recommendation! Thorougly enjoyed it

The decor is fantastic because you don t feel you are in an airport . Service is very good . But sushi are not the best we had ( shrimps tempura roll ) cold and just rice and tempura ( no flavor ) and the whatever poke bowl was way too small and served regular simple ripped shrooms ??? Why ? We paid 40 bucks ? Really !!!

I have been flying through the Atlanta airport for quite a while. Found this place last year. Can’t believe it took me so long. Had a long layover today, and immediately went to One Flew South. We sat at the bar, where Alex took excellent care of us. Great food, wonderful wine and saki list. The layover was a long one and no pressure on us to eat it and beat it. Good conversation with Alex and a few other customers. If your in the mood for great food and company check it out!

Our flight was delayed big time and the airline gave out dinner vouchers. I have been wanting to try the restaurant and with time to kill off we went to Concourse E. The staff is nice, attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and there is a nice selection of wine, cocktail and beers. By the way, the menu has changed and not updated on the website; if you have your heart set on an specific dish, give them a call to confirm. I ordered the burger which was good but not fantastic. Don’t get me wrong, the patty itself was very good, juicy and just the right medium. The bun, however, was soggy by the time it made it to the table, and the cheese not melted but crumbled all over. Tomatoes, lettuce and onions were not distributed on the burger but rather piled and slided right off the burger as I tried to hold it. I did not do well trying to put it back together and ended up cutting everything in half to be able to eat it. Not fun eating a burger like that. My neighbor seemed quite content with his sushi order though so maybe that is a better choice. When the time came to pay, I handed the voucher and my credit card. The waiter came back and (very nicely) said that they have never seen a voucher like the one I had and that the airline “has not advised.” I had no idea what that meant since I don’t know how it works, and find it awkward that airlines would advise restaurants of delays. The manager also came and (also very nicely) said that they needed to confirm the voucher with the airline. I showed her the flight delay advise on the app along with an e-mail from the airline mentioning the delay and the voucher. All and all, it took about 15 minutes for them to clear. My advise if you happen to be using a voucher is to show it to the waiter when you get seated. That way if they have an issue, they will have time to work it out. I will give them another try if there is an opportunity.

We had three hours to kill between flights, so spent a couple of hours here grazing through a long lunch. Shared six different rolls, edamame and the salmon hot pot. Sushi rolls were okay, but not up to the standard I'm used to in the UK (but perhaps I"m spoilt?). But the salmon hot pot was DIVINE. Perfectly cooked salmon and tasty eel fried rice. Quite a decent wine selection too, but disappointed they only serve cold sake, not hot.

Tarvis was great! We came in off of a long flight and he was so kind and patient. It’s always nice to be around great company on a long day of travel. Thank tou Tarvis for being so pleasant and taking great care!!?

Had a layover at Hartsfield. My wife had the Seoul Burger and I had the “OFS” Dirty South sandwich. Both were truly outstanding. The drinks were great in both portions and flavors. The service was really great. We also had two terrific servers, Jacinte and Vidal. Would give it my highest recommendation.

We didn't want to settle for the usual airport food court food, so we sprung for airport fine dining. While not truly fine dining level special, it was very good and definitely better than the food cour (of course you will pay for the upgrade). In particular, they had some creative sushi rolls that were extra tasty. Main entrees were a solid step less interesting but still good. Despite being at a very busy main concourse intersection, it's relatively peaceful inside, which can be nice on a layover. Service was very professional and appropriate to an upscale dining venue.

Excellent food and professionally served. Only negative is all cocktails are $16 and quantities are small. Wine prices in keeping with quality of restaurant and are competitive. The chocolate dessert is not to be missed. Not cheap but a very good restaurant in an unexpected location.

Had a long layover, so decided to have a nice sit-down. Excellent for a relax stop. The food was delicious, and the salmon special was superb for an airport restaurant. I didn't have a drink, but the cocktails looked wonderful as the bartenders put lots of effort into each drink, as i watched from my bar seat. Will stop again if i have another long layover at ATL.

With more time than expected between flights at Atlanta International Airport, I found this superb restaurant airside in E Concourse - superb by any standard, not by lowly airport-food standard. My soy-glazed scallops with sea island red peas, okra and bok choy were to die for. Excellent service, and even some live piano music from the concourse. Worth _planning_ a long connection to be able to enjoy the cuisine!

The sushi was average at best. Chicken noodle soup was quite disappointing. Reviewing the ingredient detail, it sounded delicious and I understood it would be unique. Yet, the little flavor it had was off and there were many bites of chicken gristle (and other chicken unknowns) in the soup; the ingredients were quite fresh, but it was not well made or well seasoned. The service, consideration of airport location and local cider available pushed my rating UP to average.

I’ve been several times, and One Flew South is worth getting to the airport early to take the train to concourse E to eat there! Great wine and beer selection; sushi and entrees are good. I had black cod that sure did look like salmon and my husband always gets the “Dirty South” open faced Meatloaf sandwich. FYI:tell them how much time you have before boarding. They’ll accommodate and suggest alternative items to get you going on time.

Just a short train ride from the disappointing food choice of the international terminal. Tried the new BLT sandwich (bacon jam, pickled green tomatoes, lettuce...) with fries - proved to be a great take on the BLT (fries were good as well). Service was excellent and relaxed atmosphere, although had to wait for a short time - very much worth it.

Like many restaurants today, the menu comes from your QR on your phone, but they are able to get you a hard copy if necessary. The presentation was perfect. The food was delicious. And the service was exactly what I wanted...not too much and not too little. I made a special trip to Terminal E for this experience and it was definitely worth the extra effort.

This place was phenomenal for any restaurant ….even more impressive as an airport restaurant. The sushi, poke app, salmon, drinks - all phenomenal. Highly recommend if you have some time at Jackson International

We had a couple hours between flights and this restaurant was attentive to our needs. We enjoyed excellent sushi, wine and chicken soup. We will be back and remember this location the next time we go through the Atlanta Airport. Great service too!!! Very enjoyable restaurant.

I've never left a review for an airport restaurant because I've come to expect most to be decent to good at best, but not great, but One Flew South was not what I was used to. As soon as I sat down I was greeted by my server, Adrienne, and after introducing herself she asked how much time I had, which is very rare and something I wish more airport servers would ask. The service was perfect and the meal was excellent, and every staff person there seemed to enjoy working there and all seemed to work together instead of just focusing on "their work" like I've seen at many places. I had a cocktail (the orchid flower was a nice touch which I usually only see at higher end sushi spots), the market salad (which was larger than I expected- a good thing, and had a nice diversity of ingredients), toro sashimi (I originally ordered the maguro but my server mentioned they also have toro at the moment which wasn't on the menu so I opted for that instead), and one of the sushi rolls. Everything was about as delicious as a high-end sushi restaurant, and it was nice that they were using regular ginger instead of the dyed stuff some places use. It's nice to find an airport restaurant that is just as good, if not better than many non-airport restaurants. Keep up the great work, thanks again Adrienne (and everyone else for working together), and I look forward to dining there for breakfast if I ever find myself at ATL earlier in the day!

The food and service was ok for an airport joint, but I almost left because of the food rudeness and lack of friendliness of the hostess. She seems to be fed up and have no interest in doing her job: which is to greet and make clients feel welcome. The menus were also sticky and dirty. Next time I will be going to TGI Fridays for sure ;)

The food is always consistent and good. The service is good also, since they know you need to catch a flight. Very good sushi and other asian cusine. I would highly recommend it. It is worth going to the E terminal if you have the time.

This is not something you think about when you have an hour between flights but if like us you have an hour and a bit between flights in the Atlanta Airport...do not miss the opportunity to satisfy for epicurian adventure with lunch at One Flew South. If someone told me the One Flew South was owned by one of the most amazing chefs I would believe it! We started with the most amazing crispy fish tacos which played nicely with our french chardonnay, in truth the tacos were a burst of incredible flavour, not to be missed. Our main course was the pulled duck confit....excuse me BBQr's and Smokers...this is the most amazingly dish...do not miss this opportunity. If you ask they will tell you the secret of the sauce on the bun. Last but not least...is the diligent staff who not only welcome you with a sothern warmth and pride but make sure you are well taken care of. Not sure if Airports and Ambiance are something that you would ever think of but if you have the opportunity to enter into One Flew South, you will have been transported to another world with a fabulous menu, incredible people and ambiance.

Two closer restaurants gave us a bad feeling, so we went with the recommendation from my seat neighbor on a connecting flight. Man am I glad I listened to her. Fantastic experience. Thought it might be too stuffy, I was wearing shorts and a t shirt. Nope, walked us right in. Thought the service would be lacking. Nope, Alex was extremely accommodating, even though I found out he was cut right after we sat down. Food was fantastic. Wish I would’ve saved room for dessert. Go even if you have to travel a few extra terminals to get there, it’s worth it.

We loved spending part of our ATL layover at this restaurant. The lamb rib appetizer was amazing--ends up seeming like a beef short rib- and our party loved their entrees. I had a kind of meatloaf sandwich which was very tasty. We will seek this place out again and again. The fusion of southern and sushi was a little weird, but whatever! Unusual to have food this good at an airport. I thought the service was good. They were very patient with us as we pondered the menu.

My wife and I, traveling through Atlanta Airport just had an incredible dinner. First, excellent tuna taco, the very well prepared burger ( for my wife) and I had the meat loaf. EXCELLENT. The wine and beer list is extensive and very good. I wish all airports had such a great place to enjoy dinner.

For an airport restaurant or really any restaurant, this place is superb and not that expensive. Great selection of wines and bourbon. I ordered the lamb ribs. Great service as well from bar staff. They do have sushi and also many other items. I will be back first chance I get.

On our way to Buenos Aires, we had a couple of hours in Atlanta before our next flight so we chose a nice restaurant to have a nice dinner.... We did not want to waste our time with the Airline food and the food court. We went in, we were nicely dressed, but still the hostess wanted to seat us on the table next to the kitchen entrance while most of the place was available - so we politely asked to switch and the hostess agreed in a very cold, indifferent fashion. We should have walked out actually... We sat down, after a considerable wait, our server came, introduced himself and also asked how much time we have. We told him that we have a little over an hour... He took our order for the drinks and left. No drinks for 10 mins... finally, he comes and takes our food order. Food comes reasonably on time... but the server disappeared... after several mins we found him and asked if we can order some bread... He said yet but it will cost us $3.50...and if that's okay... now, thats an odd question, I have never been asked that before... In the middle of a meal which will cost me about $100, the server is ensuring I can pay $3.50 for bread... What if I asked him for another glass of wine? Never had that experience in NYC, Paris, London, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Beijing, LA, Chicago... but I am asked up front at Atlanta Airport if I am okay with 3.50 for bread... We were unhappy but I am playing it down to avoid ruining our mood any further... Then, I saw another couple with same ethnicity as ours walked in... Sure enough the hostess took them to the table next to the kitchen, they sat for 5-10 mins, no-one attended to them and they got up and left... makes you wonder! and of course the bill shows-up with 18% gratuity added which I pay

It wasn’t inside Hartsfield Jackson! Solid food, great service and an expansive drink menu. I sat at the bar during an longish layover and was very impressed. Enjoyed a fresh local IPA and per the bartender’s recommendation, had the pulled duck sandwich. Great pick for sure (thanks Dele!). Cole slaw was a bit bland, but the arugula salad I ordered as side was perfect. If your in ATL’s cavernous airport and have the time, skip the food courts and the franchises and catch your breath and satisfy your appetite at One Flew South.

I like to come to this place when I have a long layover in Atlanta as today. I was surprised that now they offer breakfast. However, it was so sad to see that all the options had eggs and sugar. When I ask if they could have something alternative to eggs they said that they offer the menu, without asking if I had any dietary restrictions or anything. I also asked for something without sugar and the options were water or coffee. The coffee was not good. The waiter emphasized that I should order something more than the coffee. They gave me less than three minutes to decide which one of the options was less inconvenient. I ordered the avocado toast and it was very disappointing. It was a packaged slice of bread with avocado. I used to like the food here but I think this was the last time I’ll eat here.

We’ve been to One Flew South many times since it opened in 2008. The menu has changed/evolved but it still offers a good selection of good food. Lots of noodles and sushi including take-away. The take-away is easy to pickup (pre-made) and is a great, if expensive, replacement for airline food. They aren’t seating many inside and there are only a few tables outside so be prepared to wait. There’s a full bar and a nice ambience to the interior.

Pork Belly is not a meal which most Yankees are familiar The menu is as fresh as the name, One Flew South. One Flew South is more like an upscale urban restaurant. We like the wall of a Georgia forest photo-mural opposite the open exterior wall with wood slates that is open to the mall; in addition, there is an exterior “patio” seating. We like the upscale bar; however, we avoid drinks on board and in airports. Our server, is a pro, and knows the menu. The menu is variety of sushi, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrées. Pork Belly “sliders,” and entrées are featured. Pork Belly is not a meal that most Yankees are familiar, and Kenneth guarantees that we shall love this dish, or he will eat it. Like bacon? You are going to love Pork Belly if you can find it. The finished pork belly is sweet from the caramelized sugars and salty and spicy from the rub, soft and unbelievably rich from the slow cooking and abundant rendered fat but pleasingly crispy and brittle on the corners from the quick early broil. We like the white marble table tops, and white is the thematic color of One Flew South. We often refrain from declaring that “this is the best,” however, One Flew South is given one’s taste and budget, the best upscale restaurant in Hartsfield, and competes well with any U.S. airport dining. Roasted Pork Belly with Black-Eyed Peas , Arugula, and Parsnips with Malbec Service: Excellent Dining: Roasted Pork Belly with Black-Eyed Peas , Arugula, and Parsnips with Malbec Menu: Upscale Southern Noise Level: Comfortable

First time eating here on a recent layover at the recommendation of friends. The food was great on all fronts...creativity, variety, flavor & quality, but it is overpriced for the portion sizes. You'll spend a fortune if you're hungry. Beer prices are stupid high too given the selections they have.

Been coming here since they opened. Excellent food, thoughtfully prepared and graciously served. Very relaxing vibe...

We traverse this airport frequently, usually with enough time to run to the Delta Sky Club and grab a drink and snack or whatever. Yesterday, our layover was longer and I decided to research a little bit instead of going to our “go to” spot fairly close to this one. One Flew South in the center of Concourse E is fantastic! From now on, if we have a bit of a layover this is where you will find us. We were greeted warmly, sat after a quick wait and our server, C.J., was awesome! Our craft cocktails were fabulous as we enjoyed tasty shishito peppers followed by our entrees; blackened cod (in green curry with purple yams and granola) and thyme roasted pork belly (with black eyed pea and arugula salad) Service was spot on and management was very involved and engaging. Thank you for providing a fabulous meal with excellent service in the world’s busiest airport! Our new “go to!’

The host was so rude to everyone showing up asking for a seat. He also made me wait for a seat at the bar when two seats were open. I thought they perhaps had a policy to not pack people in like sardines but once I was seated he filled the other seat as well. First impressions count, One Flew South, some people left after their interaction with the rude host. Thankfully the staff at the bar was great. Jacinte and Kevin were prompt, kind, and knew what they were talking about. Jacinte gave me several recommendations. I went with one of them and had the meatloaf open sandwich which was good. They also offered a large variety of sushi and wines. The sushi looked good and people seemed to be satisfied with it. If you get past the rude host, you’ll probably enjoy your time.

This was our fourth visit to terminal E at ATL. It is such a pleasure to get decent food during a layover in Atlanta. This time there were 3 of us and we ordered edamame, sushi rolls, then dinner including a pork belly entree, a beef pot and fish dish. We had ordered additional sushi, but had to ask for it twice. We didn't get it until we were done with everything else. We had the same problem with drinks. We were given the wrong wine twice. We had to ask for water refill. Since this is an airport, and time can be limited, this restaurant really needs to work on more attentive service. It is definitely expensive, but worth eating decent food while traveling instead of all the fast food in airports. Our bill was $288 for the 3 of us including one amazing cocktail. The Kingstreet gin & tonic was amazing.

It's interesting to see so many reviews complain about the host/hostess, when the host during my visit was super friendly and charismatic. My waitress, on the other hand, was very stoic but not rude. It's a busy place and I was sat at the bar, which is not my first choice but better than waiting more. I ordered their BLT, which uses a bacon jam instead of traditional bacon slices. It was very good, but it was also a lot of salt and oil, and I had an upset stomach as a result. But that was my choice, the sushi was right there if I wanted something lighter. The cocktail, on the other hand, was phenomenal. The name escapes me (it was "Orchid" something), but it was st. germain, gin, and lemon and it was so good. I'd come back just for that drink next time I have a layover in Atlanta. It is in rough shape though, not surprising considering how much traffic it must get. But the light fixture a few feet above my seat was caked in dust, and a lot of the seats seemed to be falling apart. Could use a deep clean probably (but it didn't feel remotely unsanitary).

My husband and I enjoyed spicy tuna rolls and wine while waiting for the next leg of our flight. Our server was outstanding as were our meals.

Ordered quickly and my delicious sushi roll was delicious. Also ordered the mint Julep cocktail was delicious. Can’t wait to return when I have more time to explore the menu and take my time enjoying my meal.

Amazingly, given the air traffic, this remains the single fine-dining establishment in the multiple terminals of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. But it's well-worth seeking out for its diverse menu, which encompasses both sushi and some terrific Southern cuisine. Our server, Dora, made us both welcome and appreciated during our long layover.

Fantastic terminal E stop! First time, and glad I came. Sushi was great, service fantastic, and Kenneth gives “non-airport” style service!

Not our first time here but the only reason we would take the underground —packed like sardines —-train from Terminal T to Terminal E and back again before heading home. One Flew South is a true oasis in the busiest airport in the world. At times it is standing room only, and then with the ebb and flow of travel, it will empty out and you will savor each bite of the masterfully prepared and presented plate of perfection. On this visit, the green pea hummus with fresh veggies and naan bread started things off. Next course: impeccably prepared black cod with purple yams, steamed greens and a seaweed granola. I elected to forgo the granola. Was happy with the combination without adding an additional item. My companion enjoyed draft beer while I sipped on a freshly brewed green tea. Service was professionally and promptly handled by Alex, our bartender, who kept things going smoothly without making us feel rushed, all the while prepping for fresh herb cocktails to come and other behind the bar duties. My only sad comment was the loss of the Yuzu tart that had been on the dessert menu for quite a while. I would often take that to go since the food is quite filling. It was a special treat I would look forward to as I boarded my flight, and gave me something to look forward to as the flight attendants served the tasteless airline fare. Please bring back this lovely citrus tart!!!!! Thank you again for this superb dining experience.

I have had the pleasure of dining here 3 times in the last few years, and it has always been great. Most recently we enjoyed sushi, "OFS" edamame, pulled duck sandwich and the soy grouper, all were great. They have a very nice looking bar and we observed some fancy cocktails being made, but unfortunately could not partake at the time. I have found that the staff is obviously tuned-in to the time factor since everybody eating here is on a schedule, so if you have a long enough layover, get to terminal E (it's very close to terminal entrance at top of escalators).

The meals, drinks and service has always been top here. Definitely not a standard airport restaurant experience.

Just had the shrimp appetizer, springer mountain chicken. Husband had the 5 spice chicken noodle soup. Outstanding meal and cocktails. You won’t believe you’re in an airport. Pricey but well worth it!!!

I had the chance to eat at this restaurant today and I chose it because of the good reviews. I was not disappointed. Good taste, good presentation, great service. I enjoyed it. Gate E.

This is by far the best place to eat in any airport that we have ever eaten in. We happened to be walking by to get to our gate and recognized this place. I think it is in the international area. Concourse E. We were seated right away. I ordered a drink called the Golden Ticket, it was good, my husband ordered the Fly By Night. I ordered the salmon avocado roll and the dragon roll. My husband ordered the potsticker ramen. My husband also had a glass of wine. The staff here is very nice and also times out your orders nicely. My complements to the chef, they do such a nice job for airport food. If I am ever in that area I surely would eat there again. No cash accepted, cards only.

We just had lunch at One Flew South. It was just a basic (expensive) restaurant that could have been in any place in the works. Disinterested servers, long service times, no table/services or any offers to order more food or wine. I was unimpressed. This is obviously a restaurant that is is riding on its laurels of the past. The staff here could care less... The hostess spent most of her time checking her cell phone. I won’t come back here. The food was just ok.

I was very impressed with the food and would eat here even without it being an airport restaurant. Hard to believe this is airport food. My server, "KC" was obviously experienced in food service and did an excellent job.

In the airport, waiting on a flight, hungry, and One Flew South caught our eye. A peaceful way to enjoy lunch. The wait staff was friendly and exchanged witty repartee making our experience that much better! I had the poke tacos with raw tuna appetizer, and it was the perfect size for a light meal, tons of flavor and super-crunchy taco shells. A great way to begin our trip!

Years I've flown through ATL and I didn't know about One Flew South. No more- I've been here 3 times in the last 2 months. When I have over an hour in ATL, I head to concourse E for an excellent meal and great service. This time was the pork belly. Delicious, moist, tender. I would get it again in a heart beat. Service and staff are excellent. Sit on the "patio", watch travelers, listen to piano music from the food court, and enjoy an excellent meal. You will not be disappointed.

While I wouldn’t usually rate this a 5 — probably a 4 — given its location at an airport, the rating is earned. First, the waiter made clear from the beginning our next flight time, so we could be out in time. Second, the food was very good — rabbit risotto and side salad for me, hamachi and poke tacos for my companion. Wine a very nice sancerre and a good list of spirits from the bar. Third, service was very attentive.

No lounge in the airport with 2 hours to kill chose a good looking restaurant. Great greeting, excellent service, really tasty and thoughtful menu was a real pleasant surprise. Phil was a great waiter. All very good

Best Airport restaurant in the US, Ray was a great sever. Thanks for recommending the coffee rubbed lamb ribs!

Wow…. My first visit. This place has been recommended to me by a buddy for a while, but ATL connection times never allowed. I would eat here even if I wasn’t held captive in the concourse. A really perfect mix between Japanese and Southern. And this is not foo-foo fusion. This is real Japanese cuisine and real Southern cuisine. Sake selection was as good as any good place in the US, and Old Fashion was excellent; not too sweet and just right on the bitters. Fries with Curry Mayonnaise was an unexpected surprise. Wait staff folks were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Did I leave anything out? 👍👍👌👌

One Flew South is very worthy of its many glowing reviews. It deserves consideration as a fine dining all-star for the entire city of Atlanta (a comfort food Mecca), not just as one of the finest airport restaurants in the country. I had a meatloaf sandwich that was heavenly. I wish I could have tried at least six other items on that menu, too! The prices are commensurate with the quality of the food. Service was expert. Will return - with witnesses!

I had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant. My waiter John was BEYOND nice, friendly and professional. The manager also could not have been nicer. The food was amazing!!! I had the wedge salad and the fish sandwich. Other restaurants should take a page out of this restaurants book!! Will definitely be back next time I’m in the Atlanta airport.

First and foremost they are time conscientious when you are ordering. But you’ll end temper to miss your flight when you start tasting the Cajun shrimp toast appetizer. Then when you think you might share your entree- you won’t. The famous open face meatloaf sandwich is good but I was sorry I shared my pulled duck sandwich! We are waiting for our bourbon pound cake but I have no doubt as I roll out into the concourse it will be just as delicious as the rest of the meal. The servers are proud of the fine food. You are expecting the airport prices but not such good food!

DONT GO! It’s not what it used to be at all!! The menu is significantly reduced and they were out of the salmon when we went. There’s only one waiter for all the outside tables. Better to avoid. Chick fil a is a safer bet!

One Flew South is located on Concourse E in ATL - it is the international Concourse My wife and I found it a couple of years ago and each time we go through ATL in the afternoon or evening with time to eat -- instead of going to the Delta SkyLounge we make a beeline to One Flew South This last weekend we had another great experience -- We had the Duck Croquettes;, Kamikaze sushi roll and Wagyu Beef Rice Bowl along with Two Gray Goose vodka French 76 beverages. Top all this off with their Bourbon Pound Cake -- What a treat! Our server was Joshua and he was fantastic -- great service - great personality -- a waiter/server that could teach many others how a truly professional server treats their customers - he was that good! For those that have not tried a French 75 or a French 76 ( 75 is with Gin and 76 with Vodka) -- This would be a great establishment to try one as the bartender makes it perfectly! -- ( It is made with Vodka or gin with lemon juice/simple syrup ( I thiink - I do not make them --- just drink them) just as you would start off making a martin shaken real well -- then poured half way into a champagne glass the then topped off with champagne and a lemon peel So if you have sometime to eat in ATL -- make your way to One Flew South on concourse E -- you will not regret it !!

The “EXPERIENCE” was awful! Server was either tired or just not great at this job - had to ask other servers to bring me a napkin. Not busy half full at best. NOTE: The “Saturday” menu was sushi and their appetizers only - they do have a burger. All in all DISAPPOINTING - I have always wanted to come here but never connected at the right times. The Cali crab roll was great and I am sure the Kamikaze roll will be. The white wine is served way too warm for this level of restaurant!!!! Will not come back!

Food and atmosphere is great. Hostess is a bit rude. Sushi is tasty, the have a good quantity of options. Service is quick for travelers.

My husband and I stopped by to eat prior to boarding for Barcelona. They have one best ramen I've ever had. My husband and I both enjoyed the ramen. It's a bit salty for me, but I had water to drink with it...and it's fine. The ramen has an exotic taste from two words, Asian and African American. I forgot the name of the chef... but kudos to him. The service was a bit slow, but it's to be expected for an airport. Plus, they were busy. I will definitely come back here again.

Lengthy layovers in Atlanta are a treat when you can eat at One Flew South. The food is great and the service too. Tonight I tried the newest menu item - shrimp toast -and it was delicious with just the right amount of spice/kick. The chicken soup, sushi rolls, salmon hot pot and mushroom ravioli are allfavorites. And the wine list offers unique selections. Dread delays no longer - It just allows more time to get to concourse E!

Tonight, at 6:20 PM ET, my family and I visited One Flew South at the E terminal of the Atlanta Airport. After standing in the doorway for ten minutes, in a relatively full restaurant, without a single employee making eye-contact or acknowledging our family, a skinny young employee finally appeared at 6:30 PM ET to inform us the kitchen closed at 6:30 PM. When I informed him I eat at this restaurant frequently and we could order now, from where we had been standing for the past ten minutes,,he said he was sorry but the kitchen had closed at that exact moment and it was irreversible. A larger manager with a blank expression approached, and I reiterated my request for service for my family. He was unable to even provide the courtesy of a reply. He looked at me and walked away. COVID impacts all of us. It is not an excuse to provide HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! As much as I have previously enjoyed this restaurant, I will do my best to about it in the future. There is a Delta club on the E Concourse which will have to do on my free quest trips through Atlanta. If you hire people who show their distain for your customers, you won’t have any customers left. All your customers are business-people. They understand how this works. Good luck! And goodbye! - Bill

I don’t know who’s reviewing this place as so good, but it IS a step up from McD’s. It’s clean. That’s all I got. It’s expensive and is poorly done. Go get a hot dog at Nathan’s across the hall. Skip this one.

We had some time for sushi and drinks before a trans-Atlantic trip. Raul was our server, he asked how much time we had and accommodated us so well. The sushi was very good, nice quality and they had a great wine selection. Would definitely stop here again.

The place is claiming to be the best airport restaurant. At least it was my own best airport restaurant experience. The cuisine is fusion Asian/American, rather innovative. The decor is modern and resting (you do not feel at the airport). The staff was friendly and professional.

So this is located in the Atlanta airport within the central area of Delta terminal E. (By escalators for the train) Menu was very very limited but service was great. Firstly, they adhered to COViD safe policies. Tables were spaced and waiter had on a Kn95. I did have to wait a little bit, but worth that safety. If you sit outside in the open air near the food court, there is piano music playing that is very pleasant. Inside looks very sophisticated, which is why I chose to try them out. The menu was limited and I was disappointed I do not look at it before I sat down… I had a California roll that was supposed to me with lump crab. It’s was rather flavorless and the crab was minced. It had real minced crab, rice, seaweed wrap , and avocado. No crunch or flavor. I had to add Eel sauce to give it some taste. Not terrible but not good either. For a “Sushi” bar, it was lacking. The entree choices were a strip steak or salmon. That’s it. LIMITED! But I had the salmon and it was actually very good. The sauce was slightly sweet with a little hint of BBQ, which I was not expecting and was just ok. But the medley of kale, potato, onions, and cranberry alongside it was really good! The portion of salmon I receivers was small though. I ended up adding the sushi on after the salmon, because I was still hungry, and because the few appetizers were not appealing….so sushi was even more of a downer because it was nowhere need as tasty as the Salmon. The wine menu, I must say, seems good and that was a nice plus. The host was very friendly and the server (Clinton? Or Harold per my bill…) was really excellent! I travel through Atlanta for work every week, and I would dine here again just because of both of them, despite the limited menu. I would try the strip steak option next time though, albeit it kind of pricey.

Steak and egg breakfast was very good - greatly exceeded the normal expectations for an airport breakfast! Everything was flavorful and well seasoned.

We had a long layover in Atlanta and my husband had eaten here before so I had the pleasure of dining there for dinner. I had the chicken dish and he had salmon both were prepared perfectly! The brandy pound cake with peaches was my selection for dessert and did not disappoint! It ws not sweet just enough too compleste a fine meal. The staff was attentive and their selection of music was also nice! We also on our way back home had another long layoverand we ate there again for dinner!

My wife and were connecting in Atlanta and stopped here for dinner. I had Spivey tuna rolls and my wife had the beef salad and the chicken noodle soup. Food was excellent as well as the service. Highly recommend.

I am not a fish lover, so this was probably not the best place for me to eat. If all the fish and sushi are removed from the menu there are not many items to choose from. They were out of a couple of items that I might have chosen. One of us ordered meatloaf which was very good, I ordered the pork belly and was underwhelmed. We each had a glass of wine which was excellent. Service was also very good. Price was very high. Not sure if I would eat here again. Mostly because of the limited selection if seafood is not desired.

Even for Airport Food, this is overpriced and under delivered. In our group of 8, split into two groups of 4, the only "Really Good" review was on the burger. So, 4 Stars there. First off...NO SUSHI. Great name "One Flew South Restaurant & Sushi Bar" The Asian Noodle Salad is served cold...FYI. They don't specify that, and normally this dish is served as a hot plate, so be aware. Also, you have ADD the chicken. Yes, it does show that on the menu, but its easy to miss (which one of us did). Most places put the add-on items after the descriptions. So watch it. The Poke' Tacos were good. Just way too small. Increase the size, or serve a 4th, but the value was not as good as the food. The OFS Dirty South open faced Meatloaf Sandwich was good. Not great, and if it weren't for the BBQ Sauce, it lacked flavor. Try using Kosmo's Dirty Bird seasoning on the meatloaf, and you will add great flavor and stay consistent with the name! The $49 NY Strip was more like a single medallion size. Easily half the size of a comparably priced stake at a stake house. Airport to Airport, the Timberline in Denver has better stake at more reasonable prices, and ample portions. One of our servers was excellent. The other was opposite - he spilled water all over when filling cups, and nearly had one meal slide off the plate in his rush to place it. Not sure what other options are in the Atlanta Airport, other than the fast food joints, but I will be looking for them when I am there next.

Located in concourse E at ATL this is a nice sit down restaurant. It feels very calm inside as it is fairly self contained. They have a sushi bar. The hamburger and sushi were very good. The cocktails looked good. An oasis in a busy airport with typical airport prices, but actually very good food.

Yes I know you spell dumb with a b. This may very well be my most passionate review ever. I went hear after overhearing a conversation weeks ago about how great it was, blah blah blah, right? Well it may have very well been the best food I have had ever, certainly in a very long time. I can say this because we went there because my wife was hungry not me. She ordered chicken noodle soup and a chicken and rice bowl. When I saw the meatloaf I remembered the conversation I heard and how great the meatloaf supposedly was so I figured what the heck. My wife went to the restroom and the chicken soup came. I had to sneak a try. Holy crap! It was phenomenal. Against my better judgment I ordered the meatloaf just as it comes, kale and all. By the way I don’t like kale, well I did not like kale. It was awesome, don’t screw it up, all the flavors work so well together it was awesome. They really are incredible. My wife did not finish her chicken and rice dish so of course being a pig I gad to. Remember I said I was not hungry. I honestly don’t think there was one of those dishes I would not eat every week of my life if I had the opportunity. Keep in. Ind this was all at an airport! I cannot wait to see what this guy owns and I will go pretty far out of my way to try it. Shout out to the waitress Malory that was great and always right there. Fantastic, delicious, best food ever. Not doing the hashtags cause I’m almost 50 and not 16. Happy eating, this place is a must.

I had ravioli with arugula and it was so good and balanced. Tried the bourbon old fashioned and it was a little strong for me. I will for sure look for this place in ATL if I need to grab a bite at the airport.

We had plenty of time between flights, and no desire for any of the food court offerings, so we stopped in here for lunch. The place is sparkling clean, and the short menu of southern-inspired dishes is very interesting. I had the "Dirty South" sandwich, consisting of pork belly, bacon, and fried egg. My wife had the porcini mushroom ravioli, and we shared an order of edamame. Everything was delicious. The place wasn't crowded, so the sound level was very comfortable and conversation was easy. Our server was delightful, and service was quick and efficient. It is a bit pricey. Our lunch for two, with a glass of wine and a cup of coffee, was $95 without including a gratuity. But it's worth it and we'll be back the next time we connect through Atlanta.

What a treat to have sushi eel appetizer, duck pulled pork sandwich and pork belly with delicious salad and Kenneth for a waiter. Read reviews and experience lived up to high standard.

Located in concourse E of the Atlanta airport. We really enjoyed our food. We were coming back from Colombia where we had been eating in very nice restaurants and we wanted to culminate our culinary expedition with decent food since Atlanta was the last stop before returning home to Charleston. We were in for a treat at OFS. We started with the baby kale salad which was small but delicious with a superb vinaigrette. We followed that by poke tacos (3 per order); these were small as well, but so fresh and tasty that the size was not an issue at all. We then shared the a pork belly dish which impressed us both and packed a flavorful punch of umami delight. Each bite of this meal was great and we were very happy to have chosen OFS. Poke tacos and baby kale salad are pictured below.

Great food, professional staff, chic and comfortable décor. The server immediately asked about our time constraints between flights and made some recommendations from the menu. We were able to enjoy a relaxing and delicious lunch including a decadent chocolate cardamom cake dessert. We paid and were on our way with plenty of time to make our connections. A+

My husband and my old son and I stopped by here for lunch while waiting for our next flight back home. We had to wait a while since their system was down, and they were not letting anyone at the restaurant until their computer system came back on. We realize that they are no longer serving our favorite ramen, so we had to order something else. The food and service were excellent

Stopped in on terminal E on the way to Europe. Kingstreet Gin and Tonic using Eidelflower tonic is different but excellent. Potato Leek soup and BLT with arugula were also excellent. Prices a little high but you are at the airport 😏 Would definitely stop here again!

My husband and I both regularly fly in and out of the Atlanta airport, sometimes 3 times per week. We have walked past this restaurant many times before and always said “Whenever we have time and are flying together, we have to go there.” So we really anticipated having a very good experience here. It couldn’t have been much more the opposite. We each had moderate-sized backpacks and a smaller roll-aboard. When we walked in, we weren’t greeted, but I said hello to the man at the host stand. I asked the host if we could have a table a bit more out of the way so we could tuck away our roll-aboard so it wouldn’t be in the way of the server (the backpacks fit between our feet). Wordlessly he led us to a small two-person table sandwiched between two women at neighboring tables. He turned on his heel and walked away. Not only could we barely get into our chairs but there was no place to put the roll-aboard except in front of the table. Also, the seat of my chair was filthy with spilled food. We couldn’t get a server to come over so I had to clean it off with my bare hand. Yuck. So far not a great impression but we smiled at each other and said “Let’s have a nice meal.” Our server came over after a few minutes. We were both exhausted and still had to fly, so we both decided to have just water. Our server’s tone changed; she acted like we were an imposition. Almost all of the tables in the middle of the restaurant were empty and the diners on either side of us were done…. The menu is predominantly nouvelle cuisine. We are always in the mood for something different so this was fine. The description of the Fish Sandwich sounded so good as it was panko-breaded. My husband ordered the burger that came with a “gouda spread.” It took awhile to get our food but that was fine. I could see my sandwich was running over with tartar sauce, and there was quite a bit on the plate. I wondered how to eat it so I took the top part of the bun off to look at it. The fish was very dark overall and just the very edges were lighter colored panko. The fish part appeared to be about 3 ounces and had breading edges that made it larger. The filet had started to come apart in the center where the tartar sauce was heaped. There was a lot of tartar sauce but I decided to try to eat it like a normal sandwich. I took a bite; clear grease squirted out on the plate along with a lot of tartar sauce. The edge was crunchy but the rest was soggy with grease and the fish had a very strong flavor. I then decided to use a knife and fork. I started to cut up my sandwich. There was a lot of bun and it tasted good but I left it looking for another part to my fish filet. I searched around with my fork and only found a couple of small shards of fish; the panko “filet” itself had dissolved on the bun. What was there was a soggy bun with panko granules and some tartar sauce that hadn’t soaked in. I also had potato wedges that weren’t warm when they were served. I was done eating. My husband’s burger was actually 2 patties stacked on the bun with pickled green tomato and gouda spread on the bun. The burger patties were so overdone they were black and crunchy on the outside and very overcooked and dry on the inside. My husband thought his burger didn’t taste good but commented that my fish sandwich was inedible as served. I had cut up a third of my fish sandwich before I quit. Our server came over and SHE commented loudly how I “hated my sandwich” and hinted several times that I had eaten it. I told her that actually I hadn’t, I didn’t like it, and I was done. She laughed and laughed and laughed in my face. She thought that was hilarious. We were taken aback at her excruciatingly poor manners. I now had to speak to her in a soft voice to get her to stop making a scene and try to de-escalate the situation. I had quietly said it was bad; I didn’t raise my voice, make a face, or anything. I showed her what the problem was with the sandwich. I did NOT ask for a replacement meal nor did I ask for ANYTHING from the restaurant. We just wanted to pay and leave as both meals tasted bad. Our server finally stopped laughing at me and left. We prepared to leave as we only had 25 minutes left before our flight boarded in the A terminal; my husband had his wallet and credit card out. The server brought out a menu and told me to select something else. I was stunned. I thanked her and said that was a very gracious offer. Both I and my husband looked at the menu and thought that perhaps the wedge salad that had blue cheese dressing and bacon jam over gem lettuce would be perfect. It sounded savory and good. It didn’t take long to get my salad and it was beautiful! I took my first bite; it was sweeter than the sweetest drink or syrup you can imagine. I am familiar with bacon jam and this was different; this particular one was pancake-syrup sweet with over-the-top smoky and salt flavors. It was like the sweetest BBQ sauce you have ever had. Underlying that, the lettuce was very, very bitter. Gem lettuce is an heirloom baby Romaine from England that is notable for its sweetness and crunch, so this was a bad surprise. My husband tried a little bacon jam and commented on how unpleasant the smokiness was as well as the sweetness. While I was literally choking on my salad, the manager came over with the obvious intent of doing some public shaming. He very loudly announced “So I hear you didn’t like OUR fish sandwich.” I told him quietly that that was correct. He went on to loudly ask “How do you like your salad?” I said it was OK with a forced smile and a tone of voice that would indicate that it was a lot better than that. “Only OK!?” The manager said this even louder and acted angry. I told him, again trying to de-escalate the situation calmly, that I wasn’t expecting a BBQ flavor, but it was fine. He immediately and loudly rejected the BBQ idea but then, thinking, said “Oh that’s our bacon jam.” At that point, he thankfully turned on his heel and left. This manager needs to find a non-public contact position. As I was trying to eat my salad, I discovered the cause of the extreme bitterness that was part of the reason I had choked earlier. The lettuce was old and had rusted. This was covered by dressing on the first layer and bacon jam on the top. I have included photos of different parts of the salad. I left most of the lettuce as it was old and rusted. My husband’s sandwich came up once we got to our gate, notably the gouda spread and the pickled green tomato. Adults over 55 beware; it wasn’t “digestion-friendly.” Not only were employees rude, but the food part of the experience can be summed up with “If it isn’t cooked correctly or fresh, smother it in sauce.” The burger patties, the grease-laden fish filet, and the old lettuce were all smothered in strong-flavored sauces.

My wife and I have eaten here before, but we were blown away by our most recent meal. We started with the green pea hummus, which had perfect pickled veggies as a side. My wife loved the steelhead trout, and I thought the collard green ramen was perfect. We ended with the taste of chocolate desert. We will start planning our flights to leave time for a meal here for sure.

We were flying to New Orleans via Atlanta and weather caused us to miss a connection in Terminal E. What a lucky find to walk into this restaurant. Service was impeccable (kudos to John F). Noticed all the staff asked guests how much time they had which shows a good culture of service in an airport. Seafood-averse hubby had his first ever sushi - ok it was a garden roll with no seafood but he liked it. My collard green ramen was amazing. We liked the place so much that after our follow-on visit to Atlanta we planned to be at the airport in plenty of time to revisit for lunch. Again amazing service thanks to Derek. Both had the Seoul burger which is so unique with kimchi, bacon, and Seoul sauce. Must also say both John and Derek were knowledgeable as to the wines served there and eager to expand their knowledge.

My usual opinion of airport food is that you are better off going hungry, but this place is an exception, perhaps on a global scale. That is, this is a restaurant that I would go to if it were on the main street of a city, instead of in Atlanta airport. The food is excellent and creative, and yes, the prices are a bit high, but their rental costs for their space must be off the charts. We had the pork belly, which was tasty and interesting, and novel ... combining the celery root puree with the black-eyed peas was firstrate. We had the meatloaf sandwich, which was more substantive, but tasty and unique and great. I would say, after having tried much of the menu of this place, that the "Nouveau Southern" part of the menu is more creative and more novel than the sushi part of the menu. The sushi is fine, but is not surprising and intriguing like the rest of the menu. The service is excellent ... can't ask for more!

An excellent sushi restaurant in an Airport. Who'd of known? Friends who frequently travel to Atlanta recommended this little jewel during our stop at Atlanta International Airport. One Flew South is located in Concourse E and is nicely situated with comfortable seating. It's a little spendy, but well worth the price. There is an extensive wine list with very good food including, burgers, BLTs and amazing sushi selection. The service is top notch too. They even ask about your flight time to tailor your dining experience to make your connections.

I had a long layover in Atlanta, and noticed good reviews for this restaurant. I walked over to Terminal E to try it out. At 4pm the place was quite crowded, but I was able to get a table. There are a lot of counter seats - table looked more comfortable. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The host recommended the "dirty south" meatloaf, egg and bacon sandwich. I ordered a wedge blue cheese salad and the dirty south. Both were great. Cost, with a bottle of still water, was about $35, plus tax and tip. Wait staff was super efficient and friendly. I saw them go out of their way to arrange for the chef to sign a hard to get cookbook by the chef for a German guest who apparently comes in every few weeks when he passes thru Atlanta. Good food, nice ambience and great service.

We were very surprised to find the sushi in this restaurant very fresh specially where it’s situated. The host wasn’t too friendly but the server made up for it. The chicken noodle soup was very different and appealing the saki was very tasty.

I was happy when I saw a real restaurant at the E - concourse, but the man greeting me was not Even giving me a smile. Also, when I came in I realised a very strong smell of cleaning chemicals - which was very off - putting- but then after a few minutes the waiter came and he seemed polite- however he did really not advise me well with the food. He also was very forgetful and the food took its time. I never received the tea I ordered and there was no way that anyone tries to make amends for that - give me free tea or anything like that. I think it was a real stingy place and I really felt miserable there.

Scheduled a longer layover in ATL just to go to One Flew Over. Wife had been there twice before and raved about it. We both were disappointed this time. Food was average at best. On our return through ATL we opted for another restaurant.

We all know airports offer junky food and it is hard to seat, relax and have a good wine. This restaurant has that, the duck sandwich was excellent, the wine selection is fine for an airport and the serrvice above average. Well recommended if you are with one or more hours to spend.

Had time to kill and need to eat at ATL airport. Food here was not just airport fare, but really a good meal. Rabbit risotto and a salmon hot pot--which you can order separately, not just multiple course option, were both worth having again. And kudos to our server Julian, he was the best. And some day we may hear his voice in voice overs & the like.

when I arrived I was asked what kind of table I wanted. I requested a low seat and was escorted inside. There were no two seat tables available so I was seated at a fourt seat table. I settled read the menue and was ready to order when I was told that the four chair table was only for larger groups but they could accomodate me on the outside table. I said OK no problem. I was seated and then I waited and waited. Finally I was asked if I had been seated and I said yes just waiting for service. An older gentleman gave me warter and took my order of a Spicy Tuna and a glass of white wine. Other people were seated after me and their orders taken. My server came back to me and asked again if I had ordered the spicy Tuna I confirmed and then waited. Finally my wine arrived but no food. I noticed that the other people that arrived after me had received their order. Finally I was told that my order wasn't taken because the computer crashed (really). The food finally arrived and was good but the service was sub par, and when at an airport time is the essential part of the experience.

Nice atmosphere and very good Asian inspired food for an airport. Sushi rolls are well prepared. Prices reflect it’s convenient location in Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson airport. Service was very good. Tables are very close together though.

Had the pulled duck. So over sauced with a sauce that really wasn't very good that it didn't even taste like duck. French fries were average. All prices way too high.

In Terminal E of the Atlanta Airport. Almost makes one not mind a long layover. Can start with Sushi and move on to excellent mains including my favorite the Pork Belly. But also vegetarian choices such as an excellent Kale salad. Nice wines by the glass to accompany. Number one in my book for airport food. Good service too.

Had a 3 hr layover at Hartsfield & wanted to try something different, I walked past this restaurant but made a u-turn. I thought sushi sounds good, There's a decent amt of seating inside & outside on the "patio area" (great to people watch). but was seated at the bar since my order was to go. I got the "Bagel roll" & the "Salmon avocado roll" sushi, I must say they were some of the most amazing sushi rolls I've had, very spicy (which I love) along with the smoked salmon made it even more delicious. The whole staff was great especially the ones at the bar but Vidal was AMAZING & FUNNY. I was a little worried at first when he didn't write my order down, ('cause I did make some changes to customize my sushi order), but HE GOT IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!!!!!! Thanks Vidal for making my wait time go by so darn fast!! Will definitely have to visit again on my next layover in the ATL......

I normally don't review airport food, because it's usually unremarkable or worse, but I felt compelled to review One Flew South at the ATL airport in terminal E because our choices were really good and so was the service provided by our server Portia... My wife had the cauliflower soup (chickpeas, curry and cilantro) and deviled eggs (bacon bits and radish on top) while I had the burger of the day (double patty, mushrooms, Wasabi ailoi and lettuce and tomato) served with crispy fries... All were delicious, served very hot and just hit the spots! Not cheap at $120.00, including a couple of glasses of rosè, a beer and 20% tip, however, it was worth it! Great job!

Too many burgers? Blasphemous but tired of chick fila? Friendly, accommodating staff. Nice alcohol selection. Chairs could be more comfortable, but I guess that helps them turn tables. Fresh ingredients.

You can't go wrong with this place. From Kevin and Kurt, the bartenders, to all the other staff, the food and drinks are amazing. The service is the best part. You can tell everyone who works here enjoys it.

I have been here twice now on 2 trips. The food is tasty and a really nice step up from greasy airport food. But holy cow have i had trouble with service. I have had to find my own server both times. And have seen people up and leave because the wait for their food was too long.

This is a favorite of mine! Been here many times and love their special touches. But today ordered the fries that ALWAYS have special seasoning (five spice!) and instead got fries that could have come from anywhere. Who runs out of their signature touch??? “We’re out”

I think if I had ordered differently I would have given this place 5-stars. On the plus side, the staff is great, the wine list is great, and the sushi hand-roll I had as a starter was great. But then I was drawn to the Waygu beef entree for $69. The server pointed out that it did not come with any sides. I thought that was odd, since another beef entree came with sides. Clearly it is possible. I offered to pay extra, on top of $69, for a side of mashed potatos. The server made a trip to the kitchen and then answer was I could get a side of fries or cole slaw but that was it. I found this ludicrous but I figured let me try it anyway. And after all this, it wasn't that good. The sauce on it is just too heavy and the beef, while not overdone, just wasn't that good. Like I said, there are plenty of other choices at this restaurant that should make it worth the trip. But if you are going to offer a premium product for a premium price, at least offer something else on the plate. I can't remember ever being told "no" when I offered to pay extra for an item that was already on the menu.

Wanted a good meal while at Hartsfield. Airport. One Flew South fit the bill. The experience did not begin well as the hostess was fairly rude when taking our information. Once we were dealing with our server things did improve although you can’t be into much of a hurry for certain items on the menu. They try to accommodate your window of time. We tried the Seoul Burger (kimchee as the accoutrement and The Dirty South which is essentially an open face meat loaf sandwich with no sides. The burger came w/fries and a dab of ketchup. I had to ask a couple of times for more. Ambiance is. Hip and modern with a window to the terminal but quiet enough to enjoy conversation and a drink. Nice change from typical airport fare

If this site was called "Airportfoodadvisor.com" then One Flew South at the Atlanta airport would get 5 stars, but to be fair to the restaurant in general I give it 4 stars. Menu is a bit brief, and the atmosphere is lacking. Both of these are to be expected in this environment, but "8 out of 4000 restaurants in Atlanta" is a bit bold of TA, isn't it? Great burger and salad for us and the service was quick when it needed to be, but to consider this better than all but 7 places to eat in Atlanta? Come on.

If you have some time to kill in the Atlanta airport want a good meal, this is might just be the place. Good setting, very good food, friendly waitstaff. They hustle here but don't leave you feeling rushed.

We enjoyed every minute of the ambience, decorations, music, and food here: what a fantastic way to spend our layover time, we loved the burger and tuna poke tacos, we will dine here again!

Truly, this is the only place I have ever eaten in Atlanta. Of course, I've never been anywhere in Atlanta except the airport. Even so, I used to be a Road Warrior and have eaten in many places including many airports. One Flew South is probably the only restaurant where I plan my trips around their schedule. As others have noted, I'd eat there even if they weren't at the airport. This time we tried a new (to us) dish, collard green and pork belly ramen (done in a turkey broth). The mix of Southern ingredients in an Asian dish lit up something in my Southern genes. When paired with an Old Fashioned cocktail I found that my Southern drawl returned for a few minutes. We're going through ATL again in July, where we'll have enough time for a larger meal. I can hardly wait.

While waiting for a flight in Terminal E of the Atlanta airport a business associate recommended we try this restaurant. I ordered the Dragon roll. It was outstanding! The meat was tender and well seasoned, the vegetables in the roll added the perfect texture and complimentary flavor. What would I improve? They serve a small bowl of soy sauce rather than serving it in a small cruet. The problem is that it is difficult to properly blend the wasabi without leaving chunks. Also the portion is small for the price. Regardless, the taste was fantastic and the service was very good.

Just amazing! Food fit for goodies in an airport! I had the Gouda burger which was amazing. My husband ordered the noodle salad which was delicious. He also had the blt sandwich which was the best take on it that I have ever tasted. They even had an unoaked chardonnay. Great meal!

When you're traveling through the airport it's very hard to find foods that is not fast food. That's the nice thing about this restaurant is it does have decent quality food. I don't give it any points for the atmosphere and I don't give it any points with the service but at least it's not fast food

Another outstanding dinner, nobody can say that this kind of airport food is not delicious. Great service, outstanding food, fast internet connection...you can’t go wrong by choosing this restaurant.

In Atlanta airport we usually make our way to this restaurant for very good sushi. The family all enjoy eating here. Service is excellent and it is a nice light meal (and drinks) before departing for another flight. We have eaten here a number of times and never been disappointed. We usually have wine or sake and the bill for 4 usually ends up being around $200 with everyone being well fed.

I like to eat here before I catch an overnight flight because I'm sure I'll have a better meal than I'm going to get on the plane. They have a nice meatloaf sandwich with potato wedges. Service is good. They have a little "patio" area that you can sit in that is out in the terminal so you can watch people come and go.

CJ served us toward the end of the day. We left pleased and satiated! Excellent wines by the glass are reasonably priced. I thoroughly enjoyed the pea hummus appetizer with naan. My companion found the cauliflower soup quite good too. The Motown and R&B mix lent itself to an entirely chill experience for these two flyers!

One Flew South is always where we dine when connecting through Atlanta. Food is always excellent, the staff is superb and the entire experience feels like a real restaurant - rarely experienced at other airports. One personal choice for our family - we do not prefer the gin choices - wish they had Tanqueray - but no other wishes. Food prices are reasonable - drink prices a bit high.

The food and service here is comparable to a fine dining restaurant in the city. Everytime I visit, I try a different cocktail and entre. Each time, the food and beverage is memorable. I wish the owners would start another restaurant in Hartsfield.

The best part of this place was the tripicalia IPA they serve they served out of a can. The poke tacos were tasteless. And they just changed their cocktail menu bumped up the prices and no gin cocktail. Wasn’t with the train ride from a gates.

With a 3 hour layover, which we were dreading, we found comfort at the One Flew South restaurant in terminal E. We wanted to avoid the hustle and hassle of the food court. With few other restaurants in terminal E we settled on One Few South - boy were we glad we did. The wait staff are true professionals, attentive, but calm. Our server, Phil, asked about our schedule so he knew our timing. The wine selection numbered about 2 dozen with cocktails and beer available. We selected the Duck Confit sandwich ot share. it was excellent. From the pleasant, quiet and relaxing ambiance to the staff professionalism you would not have guessed you were at an airport except for passengers rushing by. Highly recommend.

The pork belly was well prepared. The sushi was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. It could have been any upscale restaurant anywhere.Except for the carry on luggage around the tables, you will forget you are in E Terminal at the world’s busiest airport.

I decided to try this restaurant strictly based on TripAdvisor reviews. I am so happy I tried it out. This hands down will be my go to restaurant every time I fly through ATL. Not only is the food absolutely fabulous (I had the pork belly entree) but the service is top notch. The bartender made a drink for me strictly based on my recollection of one that I had in LA and he made it perfectly. Not only did he recreate the same great drink that I had previously but he named it "Seat #2,obviously from where I was seated. For those who like bourbon, I highly recommend asking Clay (bartender) for a "Seat #2" drink...you will not be disappointed. Now to the service, the manager Will has a lock on service. Very attentive and engaging. I literally watched him find common ground with just about every customer that walked in the door. I even watch a couple ask to have their picture taken with him. Now that defines customer service! Lastly, the food is amazing. Chef Cedric created a pork belly entree that rivals any 5* restaurant that I have been to....and I travel quite a bit...have tried many restaurants. So not to continue to gush about One Flew South, but I am truly impressed and quite honestly, a bit surprised considering it is an airport restaurant. For Will and his staff, keep doing the phenomenal job you are doing...it is truly impressive.

It’s really hard to find a descent restaurant inside the airports. This is one of them. I had the rabbit risotto and it was really good. They have sushi and some other interesting options. Not the most affordable - but it’s worthy

This is as fine dining an experience as you'll find in an airport. Wine, food, service all there. Inside dining is available, but dining outside allows you to hear the pleasant live music in the terminal. Did I mention that the food is good? Not the usual mass-produced, pre-prepared airport food - expertly prepared fresh.

Great place for sushi and edamame. Especially nice on a long layover since they take time preparing the food. They did ask how long we had before our flight so they could prioritize our order if need be. Great service and food! Will be back the next time I’m in ATL!

One Flew South has been on my list of places to eat for a long time and I finally had a long enough layover to visit. The atmosphere is causal and there was a mix of business people, families and couples dining there. OFS does have a selection of sushi and I would not recommend ordering that. It didn't taste bad but it was not top notch (3/5 for sushi and seaweed salad). I highly recommend any of their cooked dishes. The potato frittata was excellent. Service was good. Overall, the best place to chill and eat during a layover.

Love that I can enjoy fresh tasty uni and even ankimo sushi (daily special) before my flight. With a good Old Fashioned cocktail. The cooked dishes are great too including the Salmon ‘hot pot’ with unagi fried rice, tofu, farmers market veggies, miso broth. And the service is fantastic too, they will always try to help you out to give you the best experience possible within the time that you have - just be sure to let them know your flight time and terminal / gate number up front :).

It’s a shame you have to have an airline ticket to experience this restaurant. Great service, atmosphere and menu featuring Asia. Fusion. Worth getting to Hartsfield early for your flight to rest, relax and enjoy !

Since I've been traveling more I find myself connecting through Hartsfield-Jackson airport. On my first trip it became my absolute favorite airport for several reasons. The only disappointment is that most every restaurant closes at 10 PM and the rest by 10:30 PM. Whenever I've searched online, One Flew South always comes up at the top of the list. However, timing never worked out. With an exceptionally long layover last month this was my chance to finally experience the restaurant. Although, I felt guilty being that customer who walks through the door with 30 minutes until closing. Nonetheless the host was gracious and welcoming. I felt all others with exception to my server made me feel very comfortable. Though, to his credit, my server was polite and efficient. Which is truly all I can ask for. My sense was that he misjudged me for not being the generous tipper that I am. He wanted me quickly processed. I wanted to try an entree, but felt that would meet with disfavor. I wasn't going to rush through a $25.00 (on avg.) dinner. Thus I chose the pulled duck (duck confit, fig & toasted peanut relish, scallions, slaw) paired with a glass of beaujolais suggested by the server. All in all, the best descriptor I have for my dining experience is bland, but now I can say I've been there.

Regardless of what terminal we come in to when we fly through Atlanta, if we have the time, we walk (one can also take the train) to this restaurant and terminal. My wife and daughter almost always order the sashimi, sushi or rolls (there is a sushi bar if you want to sit there). Sometimes I go with that, but this last visit I had the Pulled Duck Sandwich, and I was quite pleased that I did. This place just offers a bit of calm from the madness that is today's airport. Good food, pleasant servers and a comfortable space.

I was looking forward to a pleasant lunch at One Flew South with my husband at Hartsfield-Jackson, even going out of our way to dine there from a different terminal. I’ve frequented this restaurant many times and have always recommended it for its food, wine, and service. However, this time left us deeply disappointed. To my dismay, we were told we couldn’t sit inside, despite there being plenty of space and seeing others seated there shortly after we arrived. The hostess didn’t offer any explanation, and our server couldn’t explain the decision either, only mentioning that the manager had made a choice to limit seating inside for "a few people." This felt arbitrary and disrespectful, particularly since we were dressed professionally if that’s even a concern. We felt disrespected. For a place that charges premium prices, this experience was truly disheartening. I always recommend One Flew South to friends and colleagues traveling through Atlanta, but I may have to rethink that. Despite the treatment, I tipped our server well, as this situation wasn’t her fault. I hope One Flew South’s management takes note and ensures all guests are welcomed equally in the future. Or explain the reasons as no one provided us with a logical explanation.

This is one of our favorite sushi restaurants when we are flying in and out of the Atlanta airport. The sushi is always fresh and the service is great! Sometimes before a long flight I will stop by the bar and order food to go instead of eating what the airlines serve. Well worth a stop when you’re nearby and have some extra time.

The best airport restaurant I have ever been too! If you find yourself in Atlanta airport and have some time it’s worth making a special trip to terminal E to eat here.

Of course your options in an airport are limited, so the expectations are lowered. Still, the service is really good here and the food is good. If you have extra time in ATL it's worth the wait. Clearly the best food option in the airport. The poke tacos are excellent

One Flew South is not your typical airport dining experience. I was impressed at the selection of food and wine and was able to relax between flights here with good service in a comfortable atmosphere.

We had five hours to kill before our flight to Barcelona and stumbled into this place with no idea of just how good the experience was going to be. Imagine our surprise when we saw a menu with craft cocktails and food items like duck confit croquettes, and pork belly sliders! Everything was fabulous - the food, the drinks, and the service - and we discovered later that this is one of the top rated airport restaurants in the country. If you are traveling through Atlanta and have time to stop at the international terminal for lunch, do yourself a favor a nab a table at One Flew South - you will not regret it!

This new review isn’t based on food, but is for service. After making the trek from terminal A to terminal E... with a only half full restaurant, they refused to seat me where I wanted. I’m a business traveler and needed extra space for my laptop. The employee told me she would not seat me at another table. I spoke with the manager, and ultimately I left. Shame on you!

Just finished a great dinner at the bar. Salmon dish was fantastic and better than a lot of what I get in the city. Kevin at the bar was fantastic and was so gracious despite a very drunk and obnoxious lady who finally left. Bar staff is fantastic. I will go out of my way to go back to one flew South

This place was great. Phil waited on us and he was super knowledgeable and efficient. Hubby had chicken soup and a bowl dish with rice, tuna, avocado, roe and more. I had the butternut squash soup and a tuna roll. My soup was so good. It had smoked turkey and a cranberry mole (I had to look up what that was) but it was really flavorful. Sushi was good. Service was good. Nice atmosphere. We took the train to terminal E to eat here even though we had a flight out of terminal A. Well worth it. Will return.

We often hit terminal T in the Atlanta restaurant and this restaurant is a must if you have the time and are hungry, The food is really fresh and very good...nice cocktails too. Service is good...the restaurant is very small, and stays busy!

Visited this place on March 10 @ 2 PM. The one thing that turn me off is bad attitude. The main host has nothing but that. I am not sure why, but for whatever reason she should not be in position to great and receive customers. I understand that everyone could have a bad day, but if so she should be relieved from position. Once past that the food was good and the water was wonderful. Unfortunately the bad attitude do leave bad taste.

Delicious food, awesome staff, fantastic environment that takes you out of the airport-the question is how much you want to spend in a meal in an airport. It’s worth it.

Love this place. Staff and drinks and food all very impressive. Recommend the Aurimatico if it is available

Traveling with one other colleague through the Atlanta airport on the way to the Middle East. Wanted to get some good sushi and some wine before getting to KSA. The restaurant has a really good wine list, with some great choices. Seating inside and also outside in the airport terminal area. Good for watching people go by. Was a short wait for a table. Good sushi, and great wine.

we had 3 hours between flights and wanted something other than fast food options. this restaurant was on concourse E and the only sit down available. We were surprised at the unique menu options and great food. Service was good but food did take longer than expected. But that was eliminated by the quality of the food. Not the cheapest meal but definitely the best meal I have had in an airport.

Great server! He was attentive, gracious, and fun without being intrusive. The food: For $14, I anticipated a well balanced frittata. The greens were flavorful but overpowered by salt. The frittata was actually chewy, and required a knife to cut it. While I would normally utilize a knife anyway, the egg required the utensil. The collard green ramen was just meh for a $24 main. Again very salty, even without the pork belly. The pork belly itself was very dry. I know this isn’t Japan but if you do ramen and charge $24, for the love of all things noodle, do it right. I’ve had far better much less money. I might have given this visit a one off. I’ve visited One Flew South a lot. At my last visit, the chicken was dry. So I’m leaning towards the opinion of a general decline in food quality and presentation. If I return, I will stick with the shisito peppers as a treat, and go somewhere else for my main meal as I’m usually on a decent layover at ATL.

Very good sushi. I enjoyed a good beer selection. Overall an excellent choice compared with other options in the food court.

I travel a lot and have eaten here between 6-10 times a year for the past decade or so and I am sad to say it appeared to have jumped the shark, as they say in Hollywood. First, there is the lukewarm reception. A hostess named London could not have been grouchier or less welcoming. She refused to seat me at a two-top when she had just done so with two other single travellers and then offered to send a manager to see me. That never happened. In short, customer care is not a priority. Second, and perhaps more important in a. restaurant, the food is a shadow of what it was, overly salty and lacking in the nuance that I'd come to enjoy. I don't know if I am likely to try it ever again.

Went here with family on the way to Florida. The service was quick but the food took a while to come. We tried 5 different sushi roles and all were delicious. My favorite was the spicy tuna roll. The food is a little pricey but that is somewhat expected in an airport. There isn’t a ton of seating so it may take a while to be seated depending on when you are coming through. Overall it was a great experience!

The chicken noodle soup was terrible and unseasoned. It had a slight pho broth taste of spices but wasn’t worthy of 4 spoons worth. The butternut squash soup was a tad bit better. The sushi roll was average. I had to go and get an Arby’s Beef n Cheddar to fill out our meals.

This is a restaurant that I’ve been visiting over the years..not sure what has happened. My husband ordered an $18 burger that was petite and they wouldn’t allow him to have it cooked ‘medium’. I ordered a Tuna “Banh mi”... in the menu it was described as “poached tuna” what I was served looked like tuna straight out of the can, I was beside myself. Instead of complaining I just decided I will never eat here again. The quality was great while it lasted. Oh well.

Took a detour to Terminal E for the best kept secret in the Atlanta Airport.Shoshito Peppers, pulled duck sandwich and an open faced gourmet meatloaf sandwich. All were great. Plus, they have sushi. The wine list is extensive, and the staff is stellar. If you have the time, make the effort to dine at One Flew South. Well worth it.

Had dined there several times and it had always been good. This time I ordered a BLT and it came with no tomato - a first.

This used to be my go-to place for a long layover, sadly it's no longer on my list. The menu has been greatly reduced. Mostly sushi menu now, I tried the spicy tuna rolls but unfortunately they were dry. They arrived so quickly I assume they were premade. The poke tacos were tasty but very small and overpriced. The staff were friendly and attentive as before.

I stopped in-between flights I had enough time to eat lunch. This nicely decorated restaurant was a real surprise. The chicken soup was amazing. Highly recommend stopping rest of the menu look great

If you’re at the ATL airport, have an hour or so to spare and would like a nice sit-down meal, this is the spot. One Flew South is located in Concourse E and I travelled from Concourse B, where my plane was departing, just to get an amazing meal! I started with the Border Springs Farms lamb ribs and had the rabbit risotto as my main. To drink, I ordered an Old Fashion. The ribs fell off the bone at the first touch of my fork and yet were still moist. The flavor was incredible and carefully paired. The rabbit risotto was savory and rich and came in a healthy portion. I enjoyed every bite of my food and left comfortably full. The staff were very professional and helpful. My waiter even warned me that the rabbit risotto was on the sweeter side before I ordered it. My only complaint would be that it took awhile to get my drink and bill; however, this is not enough to distract from the wonderful meal and friendly service that I received.

This is an awesome restaurant. The wait staff is fantastic. Not rushing you through like most travel properties. Menu items are fantastic. Not as great as the first time I went here nearly 10 years ago but still awesome. (bring back the scallops). I had the Cornish hen on this visit. Great dish but please please add more of the red bean puree to the entree. My wife had the sushi. Loved it as usual. If I hear that I have a three hour layover in Atlanta my first though isn't what a shame...it is One Flew South, HERE I COME.

When you have this to choose from and fast food….go with this! Salmon was quite good. Welcoming and helpful service. There can be a wait, but they try to fit a lot of people in. Definitely recommend if you have some time to kill before your flight.

I always come back to this place and it's always a great experience. I use to have sushi that never disappoints me and the best thing is that this is the only airport restaurant where I can have a five stars dessert and a coffee from a French press.

I’ve been here many times and usually make the trek to Terminal E no matter which terminal I am flying out of. Honestly, they keep using COVID as an excuse for ALWAYS being out of sushi. You’re a sushi restaurant. Why even open? Been here 4-5 times since the start of the pandemic and have either been greeted by a long wait (with many empty tables and employees just standing around) or a stern messaged that they were out of tuna, salmon, or all sushi. Honestly, I’m going to stop going out of my way to eat here at this point. It’s just not worth it. Get it together or change your menu to include ingredients you can consistently deliver in the *current* global economy. I’ll be giving you a pass from now on. You’re charging gourmet experience prices with crumbs on the menu.

Arrived a dinner time with a short wait, with 3 parties in front of me. I was asked to stand outside to avoid congregating in front of the hostess stand. I watched as the parties before me were seated, so when another party left, I casually mad my way to the hostess stand. As I was approaching the hostess stand, a couple walked paused me and asked if there was a wait for two. One of the hostesses, "for two, no come this way." As she proceeded to seat them, the other hostess looked at here with "that look", like wait a minute. But nothing was said. The 2nd hostess looked at me and appeared to shrug like she didn't know what to do. Well, I did . . . I had a wonderful dinner of baby back ribs, at another restaurant. Based on the ambiance and clientele in the place, it could have been a great night for me too, but alas perhaps another day.
Something To Look Forward To!
The most anticipated event when in the International Terminal in Atlanta is dining at One Flew South. Arrive a bit early and enjoy a fine meal with a glass of nice wine before you face the madness on the concourse. I recently traveled with my 11 year old grandson who was treated like a prince with a mocktail prior to his lunch. What a fine way to begin our journey to Europe! He enjoyed his whole shrimp, complete with eyes and tails, while I dined on fried chicken and grits. Do not skip the banana pudding!
