Honestly, the food was great. If I was rating based on food alone, I would probably have given a four or five stars. So why the three star rating? One word to describe is chaos or confusion. We walked into the restaurant and was not greeted at all. Staff members were walking around, but seemed to almost already expect us to know what's going on. I ended up going up and stopping one of the staff and they explained that there's no waitlist or anything, and we just stand around waiting for a table to open up? It was just bizarre. Finally a table opened up and we got seated and ordered our food, and it took forever for the food to come, I want to say at least an hour. The place was small, but they didn't have many tables so it wasn't too crowded but the place just seems way understaffed. Everyone looked way too busy and the entire operation just didn't seem efficient and there were a lot of waiting around. The food was great, but I would not come back again. It's not a wait 1 hr for your food kind of great.

Unfortunately, OS is heading downhill fast. I ordered their sampler off of their menu on Grubhub. It includes hummus, falafel, and two other items. When I got it home, they had replaced the falafel with stuffed grape leaves. I called to ask what happened and they basically called me a liar. When I went back and showed them their own menu on both Yelp and Grubhub, all they could say was "Yeah, we should fix that," and then the employee proceeded to charge me an extra $6 for falafel that she conceded should have been included. I was hungry enough at that point to just pay the piper and leave, but suffice it to say, I won't be back. (And that's not just because of the lousy service, but because the hummus was bland and there was a long hair on the container.) One last point: I wouldn't eat in the dining room as it looks like the small pillows they use as seatbacks have never been washed.

We went for takeout and thought everything traveled well. Highly recommend the chicken skewer plate and babaganoush!

Great place, great people, great food! Loved the hummus and Kafta! Great Lebanese. Don’t let strip mall fool you! You will not be disappointed!

Great Lebanese restaurant. Kids shared the beef shishkabob. My husband and I had the mixed grill for 2. The lamb and the Jetta were my favorite. We had hummus and falafel for anappetizer. Forgot to take pictures of the appetizer cause they looked so good we dug in. The falafel was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. we finished our meal with Turkish coffee and kanafe. Everything was great and the food was fresh.

I was hungry... until I came here. Now I will not eat for three days. I hope this explains how good it was! If not: Delicious, authentic Lebanese food! Viva Open Sesame! No relation to those in Long Beach, but for what they offer, the grilled meats were even better than the LBC joint, which is delicious itself (with notably lovely waitresses!). Family friendly, great service, good portions and good prices! FREE PARKING!!!

1. Ultimate Mix Grill - perfect amount of food for two. Very tasty sides and the meats were delicious and tender. 2. Service - Good service. The lady was sweet and calm. 3. Ambiance - It is a very cozy and elegant restaurant. We went for dinner around 4 pm and almost half the tables were busy. 4. Baklava - a must!

Several times I passed a small store front restaurant on Oak Lawn, and decided that it was time to give Open Sesame Grill a try. The decision was a good one, as all the food was great, and it broadened my knowledge of Lebanese food and its distinctions. I chose the Shawarma Plate, thin sliced slow cooked chicken served on a bed of rice. My two sides, included the Baba Ghanoush for an appetizer, with the Fatoush as my salad. Baba Ghanoush, was tasty, composed of eggplant mixed with tahini, garlic, and lemon juice, topped with olive oil. The Fatoush was awesome, consisting of an array of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, radishes and mint, tossed with lemon, garlic olive oil and pomegranate molasses. The authenticity of the food, and its seasoning made for a great dinner! Glenn Almack

This is a small place tucked away in a little shoping center. I've had lebanese in big cities in the US and throughout the middle east and this place can hold their own. Some of the staff can be really friendly and others sometimes a bit more cool but the food outweighs the less friendly members of the staff.

This is a very recent discovery and we were very pleasantly surprised. Food was authentic, fresh, and elegantly presented. Very friendly and attententive staff lead by manager Malik. Our server Julissa frequently check on us to make sure we liked everything. And we did. The lentil soup, falafel, Ultimate Mixed Grill were all happily consumed by three of us. My favorite was the lamb kebab which was exactly what I ordered on a return visit. Server Darwin was prompt and courteous. The Arab coffee he recommended was excellent.

My wife and I were craving for something Mediterranean while in Dallas. She found this place on the Internet and off we went. Excellent food, very tasty, with the right ingredients and the right recipes, perfectly cooked. Desserts are baked when you order them, so you eat them right out of the oven. The atmosphere of the place is friendly and warm, and so is the staff. Ryan was super friendly and helpful. It is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants we have visited.

What a great find! We’ve been up in Dallas for a week and was on that side of town around lunchtime. My husband did a little search nearby where we were and asked if I wanted to try Lebanese food. Sure, let’s do it. When we enter led the strip center where the restaurant is located, we entered not expecting much. Instead we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is like very and decorated nicely. We ordered, the chicken kabob for me and tenderloin kabob for my hubby. The food was flavorful and delicious. We were so happy with this little gem find! My only critique would be to move the high chairs near the ladies room door as they are in the way of entry to the ladies room.

Lovely little place, so happy to have found this gem!!! Its a traditional Lebanese place. Menu modified and simplified and still tasty! Great service, excellent location, and has plenty of parking! We ordered 2 of their most popular plates. The First one was the chicken shawarma, came with rice and I chose Hummas and a Fatoush salad as my 2 sides. The chicken was not done the traditional way on the rotating burner like "the al pastor", the flavors were as amazing and it was even more juicy than the regular rotating burner! It came with a wonderful garlic paste - I was very pleased with this dish! The second plate was the kofta kabab on rice, with a Tabouli salad and Hummas sides. The Tabouli (parsley salad) was not that fresh so we asked the waiter to change it to a Fatoush and he did not hesitate, he went to the kitchen and got a seperate plate of Fatoush, now that's great service in my opinion! The meet was supper juicey (make sure to order the meet medium) it came out great! Loved the pictures of the different areas of Lebanon on the wall, and for sure LOVED the music selection!!!! Well done you guys, and keep yup the good work, and dont change a thing!!!

I found this place online and ordered take out. When i arrived i wished i was eating in. Small but comfortable interior, wood plank walls. The menu is limited but they do everything exceptionally well. We had the Shawarma Plate ($12)-grilled chicken, rice and 2 sides. Spicy garlic sauce with the chicken. Sides- Hummus, Fatoush and tabouleh were all excellent but the Baba Ghanoush was the best i have ever had. It had a wonderful smoky flavor. Pita is included and it was fresh, thin and delicious. Overall a great value for a quality meal.

Let me tell all of you that on Tuesday’s you can get for half price the best Lebanese food in Dallas. I’ve been a regular in this place for two years and have tried most of the Mediterranean restaurants in The metroplex and for sure this is the best food. And the prices are very good. Highly recommended!!

We found this place by chance and went in for a late lunch. I had seen the reviews, and had hoped we could before we leave Dallas. Indeed, based on my experience traveling in North Africa and the Middle East, it is as authentic as anyplace I have been in the US. Great salads, baba ganoush, chicken shawarma, tender rice, flat bread, and mint tea. Oh, don't forget the fabulous desserts, and great service. One guy was polishing wine glasses the whole time we were there. Yes, these folks are proud of their restaurant and their products; they should be. So if you like middle eastern cuisine, you must go!

Found this clean and quaint restaurant very close to the Design District and was not disappointed. At first we thought the restaurant was closed due to the vacant building next door but decided to venture in as the listing on Google said they were open. We went about 4:00 pm on a Saturday. The waiter was very pleasant and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Of course, our server was prompt, polite and helpful. I ordered the chicken Tawook and my daughter ordered Falafel plate. The restaurant was very clean. Along with my chicken with a garlic sauce which was absolutely delicious, rice, hummus and tabouli (you could pick two sides). It was delicious! Hot and tasty. My daughter's Falafel was not over cooked and the taztziki sauce fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed our meal! The only vegan dish was the Falafel plate but I am sure they would accommodate requests. I would definitely return!

This was our second time to visit Open Sesame. Our service was friendly, hospitable, and helpful. The prices are reasonable and portions are generous. You should try one of the Lebanese beer or wine options. We will be back.

This is a clean, unassuming restaurant tucked in a nondescript strip shopping center. Food is very tasty and there is more than enough to chose from. For those afraid to venture out of the norm they do have a hamburger --really? Beer and wine is available. Who knew there was Lebanese wine. Very friendly and willing to explain the dishes.

What a great place. It looks very unassuming from the outside, just a regular slightly shabby strip mall. But don’t let the deter you. The food is excellent and genuinely middle eastern. Service was quick and very friendly and helpful. Inside ambiance is nice. And prices are most reasonable. What more can you ask for?
DELICIOUS FOODS COOKED PERFECTLY
All meals cooked individually, fresh, imported ingredients, so healthy. Cooked perfectly. Friendly, knowledgable waiter on staff, answered every question I had. Thank you so much!
