The hummus is outstanding. Lots of varieties and flavors. The pita bread is the best ever. The meals were kinda good. My beef kabob seemed quite dry. Was it a Friday leftover? I’d go again to give them another go at it.

We discovered Oren's on the way to the Museum of Modern Art. Wow! Amazing hummus and pita! Highly recommended. And very friendly and helpful service.

Simple and fresh. As per our usual, we over-ordered and the portions were much larger than we anticipated. One order of the beef kebabs would have sufficed for lunch versus one each. The Jaffa style hummus was amazing! We both could have sat and just got more pita and ate this all day. It's filling but not heavy. The beef kebabs were perfect and the seasoning on point. It reminded Jen of being in Morocco and food from the family there. A perfect spot for lunch.

Great Humus! The highlight was Terell! He went above and beyond to make sure we understood the menu and had a good time. The food was amazing too ;) 5 stars!!

Oran’s Hummas is a nice restaurant that offers a good variety of tasty Middle Eastern dishes. Service was slow when we arrived …which was annoying. But the food and the rest made up for that.

Went with colleagues from work. What an excellent experience - top food, nicely served and friendly staff. Well done!! Don’t miss the humus with mushrooms and the sabich! Super.

We really appreciate that we went in without reservation on a Saturday in San Francisco. We loved that. No wait, and right in. Food was amazing, we loved it. Everything we tried was great, we basically followed the server’s advice. You can’t go wrong. With anything you order. It has also a wide gluten free selection which is nice. You get to try everything without having to give up the fun. The only thing they need to improve is the service, they’re a little bit disorganized, different people come by and they kind of forget about you. You have to advocate for what you need. And you’ve got to ask several times to different person. But once they get the organization part down. It will be amazing.

I was very surprisingly pleased by the food. Mostly, when I go to an Israeli restaurant the hummus is bad and the salad is poor. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the food. The only minus is the price. Never have I paid so much for just a hummus..

We luckily, accidentally, ran into Oren's on the morning of July 4th. We were on our way to MoMA and were searching for a place to grab some coffee and a quite bite to eat. We LOVE Israeli and Mediterranean food, so this was a no brainer. The shakshuka was very good and filling. We also had cappuccino and a Turkish coffee. Service was excellent. The manager was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Two thumbs up!

On this occasion I took people to the restaurant and we couldn’t get a table so we opted for the to go counter. I will say this is a very convenient option given the location in San Francisco (near Moscone) and the turnaround from order to take out. 👍 The issue I have is how expensive something as simple as roasted cauliflower was $8.00! I had a Greek salad with chicken… the chicken was fantastic. All in all it would’ve been just as easy for me to get a salad from their take out refrigerator vs waiting for my food. Cauliflower, Greek salad, and a drink was close to $30. Worth it? No. But what I would go back for is the hummus! One of my friends had a chicken plate with vegetables and hummus...and the hummus was fantastic.

Our final meal in the city was take-away from Oren's. We'd walked by the restaurant several times throughout our stay, always making silly Witcher jokes about "Orens", and commenting on the intriguing menu. We walked the few blocks from our hotel to Oren's to place our orders (my husband ordered the Hummus Chicken bowl [$16], and after a bit of hemming and hawing, I went with the Hummus Eggplant bowl [$12.95], bypassing the Hummus Beets bowl.) There's a small window bench by the front of the to-go section, which we huddled in while they made our meals. It wasn't long before our cashier called us back to hand the bag of goods over. I was surprised by how heavy the bag felt, when hefting it over the counter. It wasn't until we unpacked everything back at the hotel that I realized the weight came from the pita: their pita is massive! Not just in size, but in heft, as well. It definitely helped fill us up. The hummus bowls were creamy and tasty. The roasted eggplant gave a pleasant earthiness to the hummus, and my husband liked how simply they cooked the chicken in his. It was a lot of food, mostly due to the pita, as already mentioned. I really enjoyed the healthy and different meal, and would have gone back to try a different entree had we more time in the city.

Oren’s was right across the street from my hotel so I decided to give it a shot. I had the classic hummus bowl with wheat pita and small Israeli salad. They bring out some marinated cabbage and two hot sauces. The red sauce is hot and the green sauce is 🔥. The pita was soft and warm and large sized. The hummus was smooth, large portion, and delicious. The side salad of diced veggies was delicious. I tried a glass of Israeli white blend which paired well with my meal. Place was packed but I was able to get a seat quickly. They also had a take out / to go section next door. Service was prompt, knowledgeable, and checked in frequently. Hit the spot. Would do again. 👍🏻👍🏻

Great Middle Eastern food. Excellent beef plate and hummos. All of the salads are great and everything is fresh.

We stumbled upon this place by accident, because The Grove was closed for a private event and the kind security officer recommended Oren's just around the corner. Am so glad he did, because the food totally exceeded expectations and the service was also incredibly warm and friendly! All the food recommendations were spot on, and the hummus is the best I've ever had!! Will definitely return if I'm in SF again.

This place is really so good. And judging how busy it is, it shows. The Fattoush salad is so good I had to go back the next night and get it again. When I return to San Francisco will definitely return. I would love to try more items on the menu.

After years of trending in Silicon Valley, Oren's Hummus is now in San Francisco along the art museum corridor, mere steps from the SF Museum of Modern Art, the Contemporary Jewish Museum and the Museum of African Diaspora among many others and I could not wait to finally try it out. In fact, I could not more highly recommend this dining establishment as a great place for a quick bite or for an extended lunch for those who love traditional Mediterranean food from around the entire area like Hummus, Tabula, Babaganoush, Shakshuka, and Fatush. We came on early on a Friday evening for an early dinner because we had just experienced a great exhibition at the nearby SFMOMA and my dining mate and I were famished. Thankfully, they do have a give you a bowl of pickled cabbage and carrots in a vinegar sauce for you to nosh on. The menu is quite extensive with a variety of their signature hummus bowls. We were intrigued by the proteins on the menu that accompanied the hummus's including the lamb, chicken and beef. Also intriguing to the both of us were the beef skewers served with all natural ground beef and lamb with blended herbs and garlic, drizzled with tahini. With that dish we got to select two sides which are separated into two categories: dips and sides. We went with the Babaganoush Eggplant which was fire roasted eggplant mashed with tahini, garlic and herbs and the Marinated Beets which were steamed beets in apple cider cilantro vinaigrette. The beef skewers were four huge meatball pieces that were slightly overcooked on the grill which made them drier than they could have been, but were seasoned nicely and to add a little heat they give you the option of two sauces on every table: red hot chili pepper which were spicy in flavor and jalapeno serrano pepper which was more savory and cool in flavor. Beware the chili pepper was very spicy to your tongue so much so I had to drink multiple glasses of water to cool my taste buds. As for the hummus, a friend who had previously been, suggested the Hummus Lamb which was the Classic Hummus topped with pomegranate braised lamb shoulder with fresh mint. The Hummus Bowls come with two pita breads of your choice, while the grilled entrees like the skewers come with just one. We went with the traditional white pita bread and with three full circular pieces that was more than enough. In fact my best suggestion is to pace yourself and to stick with what you get with your meal and then you can order additional pita breads as it cost an additional eighty cents and can get pretty filling. We loved our time at Oren's, the interior is a bit of a mix match with a grand chandelier in the center of the dining room with menu images along the interior wall that felt more at home at a fast casual restaurant like Panera Bread rather than a fining dining establishment they are trying to set up. There was a minor rush as we were sat along with three other tables and my dining mate was famish so she was disappointed when our server was a little overwhelmed with the service. But the food is the real star here. Overall everything tasted great, well seasoned and interesting. I've never had hummus with a protein like lamb and it tasted great. The surprise was the Babaganoush which I had never had with eggplant and had a real kick to it. I can wait to go back and sample more of their dishes. It sounds cliche, but Oren's is bringing authentic Mediterranean to the masses in a contemporary setting at affordable prices. Multiple visits to sample their extensive menu is a must on any foodie's radar!

The food was real Israeli food and was delicious. We had the shakshuka, humus, babaganush, lamb and salads. But an extra pita will cost you about $0.8 (not free...).

I found this place just walking by and was surprised by how delicious the food is. I had breakfast, and came back for lunch another time, which was also great!

While staying in San Francisco for only one night, our plan was to enjoy a special (hopefully a Michelin or DDD) dinner in the city. Unfortunately, Covid happened and most things in the city were shut down or were forced to make guests dine outside. So, we walked across the street from our hotel to this cool little Mediterranean place. The manager (a fun blonde lady with a great personality) who took care of us was very helpful and knowledgeable with the menu. We came during happy hour to enjoy wine and a bunch of small bites. We ordered several glasses of wine and they turned on their outdoor heater so we would stay warm while dining here. They also have these great wood and glass barriers between their sidewalk seating area and the rest of the sidewalk, to keep pedestrians away from the diners. The food was outstanding! Their hummus was great… baba ganoush was smokey and tasty… pita was warm, soft and very tasty… fattoush was fresh and tasty… chicken skewer was fresh, well-seasoned and most dark meat… beef & lamb ground skewers were awesome! Their hot sauces (green and red) were HOT and TASTY!! Overall, we really enjoyed the food. Service from all the other staff who helped us during our stay was also excellent! This place was busy with deliveries the entire time we were there, we constantly saw Door Dash, etc drivers coming for pickups! Highly suggest a visit here!!!

This restaurant is perfect! Generous, good and refined food for a contained price, Service at the top with friendly and attentive people. No complaints, we recommend +++ Do not hesitate to ask for a box to take your dish if you can not finish it, they will gladly bring it to you

There are many good vegetarian options here. Prices aren’t too bad and service is good. Staff is friendly and helpful

Oren's Hummus is a real treat for anyone who wants genuine Israeli food. They specialize in a large variety of hummus dishes, but there is much more available. Service is friendly and efficient and the prices are very reasonable. The hummus is fresh, thick and creamy and many toppings are available. There are plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options as well, but I swear that their fresh pita is worth eating a little gluten.

Did a quick take out at Oren’s Hummus. The falafel sandwich was great. Sweet potatoes fries were okay but the accompanying sauce/spicy mayo was amazing. Would highly recommend to try it more. Food was definitely tasty but not sure if the serving portion was worth it. Would recommend for great tasting food.

Dropped in for a quick, casual dinner with my wife. We each ordered a pita sandwich, and shared a large Israeli salad. Service was very good. Food came out quickly. The portions were good sized. The salad was fresh, and nicely dressed. My sandwich was very tasty! Overall, a very pleasant experience.

This little gem is just 1 block off Market Street in the heart of SF. Friendly staff, nice interior, good service and tasty middle eastern food that won't break the bank. By SF standards the prices are cheap, 2 can easily dine for under $40. Nice size portions, delicious hummus and the best whole wheat pita bread I've ever had in CA. Thick, chewy, tasty and a hearty compliment to any meal.

Amazing Mediterranean/Israeli food. Hidden gem in a sea of kitschy chains and tourist traps. Food was outstanding and price reasonable.

Google Review: Oren’s Hummus is an absolute gem—easily the best Israeli restaurant I’ve been to in the U.S. (okay, I haven’t tried Zahav yet, but Oren’s is spectacular). Let me tell you what makes this place so special: • The Food: The hummus with lamb shoulder was phenomenal—perfectly balanced, tender, and with just the right amount of sweetness. Their pickled vegetables arrived right when we sat down (love that!), and every side we tried was bursting with flavor. • The Dessert: The warm chocolate babka with cream was a revelation. It’s the best chocolate baklava I’ve ever had—rich, decadent, and absolutely unforgettable. • The Service: Diego was the highlight of our visit. Not only was he incredibly polite and helpful, but he went out of his way to make sure we were happy. I misunderstood one of the dishes and thought it was wrong—he graciously explained it and still offered to replace it. His thoughtful suggestions saved us from over-ordering, and his warmth made the whole meal even better. Oren’s Hummus is a must-visit. Whether you’re craving the best hummus in town or want a complete dining experience, this is the spot. We can’t wait to come back!

Warm welcome, good service, fresh food. We are used to Mediterranean food, but this one is specially well made. Nice and cool place. Good music not too loud. Enjoy any time.

My wife and I stumbled upon Oren’s Hummus during a stay at a nearby hotel. I mention that because they also have a dedicated take component to the restaurant. Both the food and service were great! Our waiter (from Serbia) was helpful and funny!

We went there based on different reviews and although it was good, I can't say it was the best. The place is big and you have plenty of space to go with friends, family, etc. We ordered: - Sampler dish (Labane, Babaganoush Eggplant, Oren’s Eggplant, Greek Style Eggplant, *Marinated Beets, Moroccan Carrots): it is great if you wan to try different dips, for us our top three were Babaganoush, Oren's Eggplant and Labane. -Traditional Shakshuka: the shakshuka was ok, but we have tried better ones. Maybe this one had a bit too much taste to tomato. -Hummus Jaffa: this one was delicous, it was soft and tasty. We have to mentioned that we ordered quite a lot of food and with one dish less, it would also had been better. All the dishes were served with a choice of 2 pita (white or whole wheat). Staff was friendly and helpful. But in general, we won't repeat again.

Stopped there after visiting SFMOMA (it’s really close) and I really did enjoy it. Food was very good and healthy (portions aren’t huge but they do fill you up), the service was great and the stuff extremely nice. Another plus, the place is gorgeous!

We had a great breakfast. Even the kids loved it. The hummus is amazing and faithful to the source, every dish is fresh and delicious and the service is fantastic. Loved it!

We had a wonderful lunch after visiting the SFMOMA. Oren’s Hummus has atmosphere and a bustly vibe with lots of families and groups of friends. The beef and lamb Meat balls with hummus, Israeli salad, plus the coleslaw with kick made for a healthy and delicious meal. The side of roasted cauliflower with a garlicky labneh stole the show. Condiments include a red Harissa sauce and a much spicier green sauce. I had a glass of cab sauv from a Sonoma Winery while hubby enjoyed an Israeli lager. We finished off with espressos and we were ready for our next SAN Francisco adventure.

We were not sure about a hummus restaurant. Very good option after a week of eating pizza & burgers. Excellent food. Agree with a previous comment, music too loud. Service OK.

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful meal here after we visited SFMOMA. There were so many wonderful, healthy options to choose from! We loved the Jaffa hummus and the traditional Shakshuka. The wheat pitas were soft and tasty. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and just the right noise level. I wish I had a restaurant like this in my town!

Good service, food is really nice. We quickly got a table for two and had some great hummus and lamb kebab.

Crazy good. Beef pita kebab and babaganoush eggplant for the win. Whole wheat pita and just perfect. Highly recommend. Might be the best I’ve tried anywhere. Plus the decor is inviting and the staff is super friendly. A real gem.

Arrived to city later in the evening and needed a quick bite for dinner. Tried the fattoush salad and hummus for take out. Both were fresh and delicious. Service was friendly. Great place for a quick bite dine in or dine out. Plenty of choices for a vegetarian.

Went there on a Thursday for lunch and had a 30 minute waitlist. So we skipped and came back Friday a but earlier. The wait was half the time and definitely worth it! We ordered chicken hummus pitas, a few falafels and lamb. The food is great and services fast and courteous. Coming back!

I had breakfast and I believe this is a place everyone must try because of the opportunity to try and taste it’s special dishes. This was so delicious, and so many ingredients in a single meal- a real celebration! Even the coffee- the latte I had was great. Next time (tomorrow probably) I will try the Shakshuka which looks great on the adjacent table...

Very good coffee and excellent breakfest. We had muesli and Oren’s hash and eggs (scrambled). 100% recommendation!

Four of us ordered different items, we were all VERY satisfied ... offers varied from a traditional breakfast to straight Israeli food. My shakshuka had a nicely sweet but spicy tomato sauce with turkey sausage added.

While the restaurant was crowded and we were short on time, we were seated immediately and (ordering only salads) served and billed speedily. Both the Greek Salad and the Fattoush salad were good. Very near to the Moscone convention center.

I came to Oren’s as it was near my hotel. I went during “Happy Hour “, the dine in section was deserted except for two staff members eating. I went into the takeaway section with one customer waiting. After about 4 minutes a food delivery guy with a helmet cane in. The customer waiting then received their order after a couple of minutes. When I entered Oren’s the food delivery guy hadn’t even arrived BUT the service staff completely ignored me and attended the delivery guy first. I enquired about ordering and eas directed back to the dine in section where a third staff member completely ignored me as well whilst chatting to his colleagues. I have zero idea if the food is any good as I walked out having received ZERO service.

I tried many hummus and falafels in my life... this is one of my favorite places to get my hummus craving out of my system.

This place is sort of an Israeli/Greek restaurant. They have a lot of the traditional greek plates with a few interesting changes. My plate was amazing which was a rice bowl with beef. The ambience of the place was also good, on Wednesday’s they have half-off on wine glasses and bottles which is also awesome! Its definitely a good choice!

We visited Oren’s a couple of times during our visit to San Francisco and the food and the service were both excellent. We felt very welcome and our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We chose Oren’s as they have a good range of gluten free options and our sever was reassuring in his knowledge of catering for an allergy. Our meal was served by the manager to support avoiding cross contamination. The hummus was really nice but the pittas are out of this world, especially for gluten free! We tried a variety of dips and the grilled chicken all was delicious. They seemed busy on the takeout side as well as the eat in side.

Music slightly too loud, but otherwise perfect. Both hummus and meat dishes were delicious. We had a pram with a baby and were very happy to find there was space for it. Lots of nice hummus-variants

great food, very large portion so don't over order ;-) we had gluten free pita with our hummus / falafel, quick service and very tasty food in large portions

I ate at the Oren's Hummus on 71 3rd Street in San Francisco twice during my stay. I ordered the grilled chicken pita for dinner on one night and then the fried chicken pita for take out lunch. The pita bread was fresh, the sauces are delightful in their variety (one spicy the other tangy). The only question that went unanswered was whether the sandwich was to have been served hot. Sandwich would had been so much better if served piping hot in my opinion.

We went to try out Oren’s Hummus shop for lunch today. Oren’s is an Israeli restaurant that just opened a little over 3 months ago here in San Francisco at 71 – 3rd Street. The place was excellent in both food, service and cleanliness. The other point is that there are not too many other known Israeli restaurants in the area, it is somewhat unique. Our party of two each had the grilled chicken skewer which comes with 2 side dishes or dips. I had the babaganoush and small Israeli salad as my sides, my friend had the small hummus and “Untraditional” tabule for her sides. The food is really fresh and healthy. We will go back again. They get 5 stars from me.

I discovered this gem while I was in a business meeting in San Fran. The food quality is amazing and I went several times. The lamb Hummus was delicious. Breakfast is also very good. Will go back.

I stumbled on this place one day I was out walking downtown San Fran, so next day I went back & had brunch there before heading to the airport for my flight home. I had the Hummus beets & Israeli salad & homemade lemonade to drink. Oh my,everything was delicious but the real stand out was the amazing fluffy brown pita, wow what a treat. I wish we had a branch in Ireland I’d be there at least once a week, yum.

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have been to lately... The service was great considering it was a weekday lunch. And the food - just amazing! We had Hummus with Lamb, Hummus with Mushroom, Chicken Schnitzel, Bourekas, Romanian Eggplant and Falafel along with Wheat Pitas. Great flavors and portions. Must visit if you are around.

We found this place by accident and were happy we did. The food was fantastic! The hummus and pita were fresh, as were the falafels and beet salad. We arrived close to 7 pm on a Tuesday and it was fairly busy, but we didn’t have to wait. By the time we left there was a line up out the door of people waiting to get in. The food was great, prices reasonable and the atmosphere was also really nice. Service was excellent, I’d definitely eat here again.

As we walked in who I can only assume was the owner was sat down having his breakfast reading a paper and he quickly make jokes with us making us feel right at home. All the staff were attentive and helpful with the menu which was great. As we were there for breakfast we got an array of breakfast dishes to share starting with the bread Tower this consisted of croissant and Jam which provided almost a desert to the brunch, tiny baguettes which were great for use with the hummus when the pita was over. Moving on to said hummus it was served with white pita and was as authentic as it gets, the deep flavour with the tang as the end paired perfectly with the pillowy pita. I have "wiped" hummus in Tel Aviv and I have to say this was up there. As kind of the "main" of breakfast we had Green Shakshuka (with turkey sausage) and my advice get the turkey sausage just do it, these little nuggets of herby excellence among the creamy flavourful Shakshuka were amazing. The dish was a nice alternative to the traditional tomato version and a staple of this regions food. Lastly to go with the shakshuka some challah toast I have to say it had an amazing look to start with, literally the perfect piece of toast to look at perfectly toasted. Tasted just as good 😋 delicate soft flavourful dough with a crisp exterior, delivered flavour amazingly. Well done all round I have to say.

Wandered in to find the best hummus we've ever had! And the Romanian eggplant is my new favorite. Two different kinds of harissa - both of which were awesome-- plus friendly and attentive staff. Definitely worth a trip!

Great food and great service. Being vegetarian my husband and I struggle to find nice restaurants to eat at. We enjoyed the food here so much we went again!

Excellent food, quick and friendly service. Food is plenty, great taste and good variety. Amazing how many different hummus dishes there can be.

On a recent visit to San Francisco, a cousin recommended we try this Middle Eastern restaurant, which was convenient to our hotel. We liked it so much that we went back 3 times in the 5 remaining dinners we ate in the City. There are excellent vegetarian dishes and dips, in addition to the delicious chicken kebabs we ordered (more than once). Each kebab came with a choice of 2 side orders, and we loved the eggplant options (Greek, Romanian, and others), as well as the tabouli sides. Service was excellent, and the interior atmosphere and lovely city views through the many windows were a real "city treat." For San Francisco, the prices were reasonable, and the food, service and atmosphere can't be beat.

we had the pita schniztel sandwich, cauliflower "fries" and lemonade, all hit the spot and filled us up nicely. Mediteranean food is so good for you, this is very much win, win, of course. Smart, clean restaurant, will go again and try the hummus next time.

We enjoyed so much. Mr. Adam was great. Kebab and entrees were delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. Service is fast and the price was better than Italian restaurants.

This place to die for. I loved everything. Our server was super sweet and informative. The wine I had was perfect tasting to the description. The complimentary cabbage was so good. I didn’t want to share. The sauces were spicy and flavorful. I had the chicken skewer with hummus and falafel. The best I have had! The pita, oh my goodness, homemade, fresh and hot. I can’t wait to come back as this will be my first stop.

I came to this restaurant as it was right across the road from my hotel (the Park Central) for a light meal. I had the Greek Salad with a side of hummus, which was absolutely amazing. I asked the waiter (I apologise for forgetting his name!) if it was homemade and he confirmed that it was. It was the best I have had and the pitta was also great. Definitely recommend if you like Mediterranean and Israeli cuisine.

I stopped at Oren's Hummus for a quick lunch on a business trip. Most of the food is made on site and it was plentiful and delicious. Service is a bit slow, especially for to-go orders, but it's possible we were there on an off-day or arrived at peak time (around 1:30 PM). The portions are huge. They also have some select foods to go (hummus, toppings, etc.) so if you're looking for tasty, Mediterranean goods, this is a good spot.

"Yay! I'm a fan" but it was dicey at first. My family went for a late dinner and the dining room was slammed. We agree to get grab some dishes to go and head back to the hotel to relax after a long day of tourism. We ordered a couple of humus dishes, cauliflower and beef kabobs. Oh, lemme interrupt this epic story to point out Oren's has a separate area for take out/ to-go. It's almost like an independent storefront supplied by its very own kitchen. A brilliant design that keeps the sit down area free of the "grab-n-go" customers. Okay, back to the story. We had about a 10 minute wait for our food, not bad at all considering the line of people in both the to-go section and the sit down area. We grabbed our grub and walked the 20 minutes back to our hotel, go up to our room, kick off our shoes and unpack our food. At this point, you probably guessed our order was wrong. We had an extra dish of cauliflower and were missing our $20 beef kabobs. Oh, the silver lining? I was blessed with the opportunity to take the 20 minute walk back to address the deficiencies so my family can relax and eat since everyone was beat. #FamilyForLife I made the walk, fuming the entire time, walked into the shop and told the lady at the register my issue. She called the supervisor or manager over and he immediately remembered my name and order (surprising given the amount of orders they were churning). He instantly apologized, got the kitchen to make a new order, had his manager came to apologize and they gave me a gift card for my troubles. Five minutes later, I had my kabobs and was on my way. I know you're reading these reviews to base your decision on the food and I've not even mentioned the quality of such however, the way Oren's corrected their mistake earns a heightened level of attention. Since you muscled through this much of my story; lemme say the food was spectacular, the humus was both flavorful and plentiful and I would definitely go back.

This restaurant has hummus bowls with a variety of toppings. I got the roasted cauliflower topping with golden raisins and thinly sliced almonds - Delicious! Everyone got their own bowl. This was really too much food. I suggest you either split a bowl or get several bowls and share. One bowl has enough food for at least 2 people. It's a lot of hummus! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service was great!

Great sabich! Great sabich and chicken. Everything is tasty. Chicken skewers good and fresh pita are lovely too.

Good food but an odd policy - only one check per table. They split our check three ways, but it could potentially cause an issue. Very fun environment and great location.

Tasty food, good service, very convenient to the Hyatt SOMA. Especially liked shakshuka with feta and our side salads.

Creative, fresh take on Mediterranean/Israeli food. Very tasty. Served a complimentary cabbage salad that was delicious. Fluffy fresh pita, delicious hummus served with various toppings. Mint lemonade was so tasty. I want to go back so I can try more.

Wonderful service even better quality fresh food, stunning. If you appreciate more effort being made in food preparation and fresh ingredients ahead of fancy interior design this is the place for you.

Went during SF restaurant week for lunch. Is such a great value! Food was fresh, tasty and great! Was pleasantly surprised!

This place is right across from the park Central hotel where we are are staying so very convenient after a long day of walking. Large choice of hummus of which the one with lamb was delicious- the lamb was so incredible ! The fattoush salad was average (not authentic). The chicken skewers were tasty. The basmati rice topped with grilled chicken was good too.

Best hummus and falafel I have every had. The free cabbage stuff and the baked eggs were also delicious. We weren't sure what to order so our server Amit made some suggestions. We loved everything we got. Thanks Amit :D

Breakfast there was like being back on those Tel Aviv beach coffees! The food is wonderful and fresh and tasty. The Israeli breakfast is so generous, and the side of hummus with fresh pita bread, mmm.

The best hummus in California! They use authentic recipe and ingredients, and it is simply the best you can get! They make fresh delicious warm pita bread that comes with your order! Healthy, tasty, affordable!

The menu has clearly been adjusted to the American market, which is unfortunate. Some of the menu items I have yet to encounter in Israel... Because a good masabacha was missing on the menu, I went with the shakshouka which could have used a bit more cheese, more spice, and less tomato. Pita was nice and soft. Service was friendly. Would I come back? Probably not. Aviv Hummus Bar in Seattle is far better than Oren's.

Excellent choice of hummus dishes, very fresh and great pita bread. Clean restaurant and great service from Amit.

Stopped by for a quick supper. We ordered a Greek salad, and Jaffra style hummus bowl to share. The Greek salad was OK, I've had better. The hummus was outstanding - flavorful, smooth, and seemed to be never ending. If I ate all the hummus myself I would have had to hung a hammock and taken a nap. I hope to go back this weekend and bring some friends (since we'll be traveling to SF for a parade). BTW, this restaurant is in San Francisco just a block or two south of Market Street, not in South San Francisco (which is another city near the SF airport).

The Best Hummus and Falafel I've ever had!!! The restaurant is clean and I hope it stays that way!! The General Manager was great too. He suggested great places to explore in the city. We end up going back several times for other meals.

Yes, it's worth the wait! Every ingredient tasted like it was picked or made that morning with vibrant flavors and delicious tastes. The service was highly attentive - which was remarkable given the size of the crowd packed into the take-out section. We ordered and waited nearly 15 minutes and the quality of the food and the value were absolutely worth the wait.

My wife and I were in SF for a meeting and had a quick lunch break between sessions. Oren’s was just down the street and seemed like a fresh idea. We’re eating light so we each ordered a salads and shared a hummus. I ordered the Greek salad with chicken while my wife chose the Israeli salad. My salad was plentiful and it came with ample amounts of feta cheese. My wife was a bit disappointed with her salad which was just chopped cucumber and tomato. The cauliflower hummus and warm pita rounded out the meal. I would say that this place is good, but not great. Perhaps another choice over the Israeli salad would be a good idea. You can thank me me later.

A bold choice, a restaurant that serves mainly one thing (hummus) in the heart of San Francisco, anything less than perfection would probably equal financial disaster. Fortunately, this place is something close to perfect and as a result was busy on a Monday evening. Mostly groups of trendy twenty year olds the place offers fresh food and quick service without a huge variety of choices. Hummus I suppose is a love it or hate it thing. I've traveled enough to Israel to have a sense of what good hummus can be and Oren's is genuinely close to the real deal. They have a couple of varieties and a few add in's to make the disk appeal to a broader audience - that's where I think the friends come in. Having a few folks ordering different things and sharing probably makes the experience better my dish (hummus + beets) was great, but also a bit much of one thing. Having even one companion to share dishes with would totally transform the experience. Service was quick and pleasant. Several large groups were clearly enjoying an afterwork meal and having a great time. Uber's came and went as efficiently as the meals themselves. It would be great to see Oren's in my neighborhood. Good news on that front they have a few other locations around the bay area - here's hoping the model is transformable in scale.

Multiple different types of hummus was our draw to this quick spot for lunch with great décor and excellent service. Vegetarians will find an array of options with the falafels and roasted red pepper sauce being my favorite.

Very good grilled vegetables, nice service, good vibes, no complaints. Recommend trying this place out. Their regular hummus tho was actually average. If I go there again (which I want too I just live far away) I would try one of their other dips.

This is a small chain (about 6 locations), and we were in their main place. The food is fantastic. Six or seven varieties of my favored eggplants. Hummus with many flavors. Kebabs, falafels, you name it. Great ambience, not too formal, but still a restaurant. We had a take-out from another location: same great food.

Great fresh food - service is excellent and then food cannot be beat if you like this type of food - have the lamb hummus! Salads are great as well.

Stopped here after visiting MOMA for Andy Warhol exhibit. Got the Israeli Hummus. You have to understand that in the US they sell hummus in the refrigerated section. Yuk. Hummus should be room temperature or warmer to bring out the flavor. This was spot on. I felt like I was back in Jerusalem. I will return here every time I come to San Francisco and bring some back to the wilderness of Sacramento.

Amazing hummus with an interesting variety of meats and vegetables Also poached eggs with kale and swiss chard’s healthy and reasonably priced
Great Mediterranean Choice!
Stumbled upon this place by accident & was not disappointed! The hummus bowls are to die for! Although the place has a bit of a chain like feel, the food seemed genuine & authentic. We walked right in without a reservation. Very clean, nice staff- all around good experience!
