My family and I have been going here over many years ... And the food is good, not great, reasonably priced. But, PLEASE, redecorate the interior! We stick with take out, works great!

A great, local eatery with fantastic service and food. This is our only go to place for Chinese food!

Came here with a local friend. He liked the place. We were not overly impressed. I've had better and worse. It's fine if you are in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I have eaten here for many years. Several menu items are great. Once in a while the oil is stale and ruins the fried food. The sizzling rice soup is great, The shrimp toast and crab Rangoon are great if the oil is not old. The salt and pepper shrimp are delicious. My husband has the chicken lo mein and is very happy. The restaurant is packed on weekend evenings,

We come here whenever we are in the area, the food is always delicious and the service outstanding. Everything here is great.

Had a great first time experience. Waiter was attentive and took interest in my lady's special food request. Food was much better than most other Chinese Restaurants. The most important issue with most Chinese restaurants is they all taste the same. These guys actually make the food flavorful and I can tell it's not cheap ingredients. Meat quality is high end. No fat or gristle... lean well cooked beef. Now my regular restaurant.

The food was pretty good but the service was terrible. Two older men who looked like they were mad people were eating there. Really killed the joy.

The staff was an absolute delight. The food was pretty good. I had the General Tso chicken, I recommend it.

We had a great time, they have a good menu for our grandchildren at a very reasonable price. My wife and I love coming here when we are visiting our children. We are from Florida. We really like their pepper steak combination platter. My wife orders the wong tong soup and I like the egg drop soup. They have great service and wonderful atmosphere.

We have tried several Chinese restaurants in Spring, and we keep going back to Oriental Gardens. They have a large menu and will substitute items for you, which I really appreciate. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the prices are really reasonable.

Good food, good service but having a smoking area spoils the atmosphere. The smell of cigarettes permeates the non smoking area. If you are sensitive to cigarette smell this place is not for you. It's a shame because otherwise it's pretty good. The cigarette smell takes it off my list for me. Too bad.

This is consistently the best Chinese food for the money you can get anywhere. Lunch specials are a true value. They have some authentic dishes you won’t find anywhere else in Houston if you know what your looking for. The wonton soup is by far the best I’ve ever had... full of ingredients in every bite. The shrimp are big and always good.

This restaurant is decorated in a style of the Chinese restaurants of many years ago. No sleek modern decor. No cheap fly by night look. Lots of Asian touches that enhance the experience. We ordered the family dinner which had far too much food. But it was all very good!! The WonTon soup was some of the best ever-not just a dumpling dropped into chicken broth. The General Tso's chicken also rates as some of the best. Very spicy, too hot for kids BUT perfect for adults. We all enjoyed the meal in every way and YES we'll go back. Thumbs up.

We decided to give this place a try for a saturday afternoon dinner and we really pleased with the whole experience. The place is comfortable, neat and the service is very friendly. The food was delicious! We really enjoyed each plate we tried, everything was well presented and the portions were huge. We went back on another day and we weren't disappointed. I'm going back again soon.

Let's just say I have the menu memorized and have the number on my cellular speed dial... This restaurant has been a family favorite for years. When we eat Oriental Gardens, we know that we will always receive a hot, delicious, and fresh meal. The vegetables are always crisp, fresh, and plentiful. The meats are always top quality, without chewy pieces or fat. The sauce choices are all delicious, and the vegetable combinations with different platters are perfect. The waitstaff is very friendly and the food is brought out quickly. Some of my favorite dishes include: -HOT & SOUR SOUP (order the large for $5, serves ~4 people) -chicken and green beans -mongolian beef -spicy tangy chicken/beef/or tofu -chicken and black bean sauce On average, my family of 4 spends about $25 total on our meal. We order a large hot & sour soup ($5) and two main entrees ($7-$12), and we still take home a doggie bag! If you go for a lunch special before 4:30pm, you'll get an egg roll, soup, and a huge helping of your entree and rice, all for around $6/person! A lunch special can EASILY be shared between two people!

Lunch and dinner combos are a great deal of food for not very much money. I really like the Hot and Sour soup here. The restaurant facility has run-down a bit in the 20 years it has been here, but the food continues to please.

This restaurant has been here for 20 plus years. We have eaten there when it first opened and we moved away. Just had dinner this past week and the place looks much the same. The food however is not good. The rice was not eatable, had a weird taste, the chicken was ok but no flavor, the beef & broccoli was not to our liking at all. The spare ribs were dry and had sugar sprinkled on them and it had not been melted. The crab Rangoon was dry and tasteless and the fried egg rolls were to cabbage tasting.. Service was ok but slow. We so hoped this would be good but were sorely disappointed.

My wife says they have the best Won Ton Soup in the city. She also loves their Moo Shu entrees. We drive over 45 minutes to get to this restaurant.

I do not usually like Chinese food. However this is good stuff. I have never had a bad experience. Since my husband love Chinese food we go several times a month.

love the food, eat there 1-2 times a month, tea to sweet, different wonton soup, severs are nice and work hard to serve and please every customer, delivery limit 15 dollars receive 20-30 mins, 40 mins if busy.

My husband and I have tried many other restaurants in this area, and they don't compare to Oriental Garden. The food is really good, they have lots of choices, and the prices are very reasonable. I always leave with a leftover box because you get a lot of food, even with the lunch specials. The service is very good - helpful, friendly, attentive, and fast.

Went with friends for dinner. Staff were welcoming. Food options were aplenty. Service was attentive and the food quite tasty. Prices were reasonable as well. While not spectacular, this restaurant is definitely worth a shot. Tasty chicken, seafood and veggie dishes. Will visit again.

Best Chinese food that I've found in Houston. Excellent value and they're always willing to make up a dish exactly to your liking. Staff is fantastic and really friendly too. I'll be a regular from now on

This restaurant has been a staple for very nice Chinese cuisine for many years. There is a varied menu with something for every taste. The house fried rice is exceptional. Try the Happy Family plate with a cup of their very tasty egg drop soup. The service is warm and quick. The prices are very reasonable. Give this a try if you are in the area.

The food is awesome! There were 8 of us and everything I tried was outstanding. One of the best appetizers was the beef sticks. You cook them on a little cast iron cooker. I could eaten them as a meal. We also loved the dumplings. I can't wait to go back to try more. The staff is definitely helpful, friendly and it will be hard to decide which waiter is the best because they are all great.

This is our favorite Chinese Restaurant; the food is hot, fresh, tasty and a good value for the money. The Won Ton soup is very good and their tea, both hot served in a teakettle and iced tea is good & strong, not watered down or weak.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Sping/Champion area. The place is always clean, the food fresh and tasty, and the service fast and friendly. My wife and I have been going there once a month for over ten years.

One the best in the area. You will not be disappointed. The food is consistently fresh and well made. The staff is always efficient and accomodating.

We love, love, love, this place! Everything we've tried is absolutely great. Love the Hunan Beef and ribs. The food is always fresh.

While traveling we were looking for a good Chinese Restaurant and found this gem that a local suggested. We were not disappointed. We were greeted and sat by Evelia, she was very friendly and made us feel right at home. We ordered several different dishes that she recommended and they were all very good. The service was good and although they were busy we did not have to wait very long for our food. Through out the evening Evelia stopped by and checked to see if we needed anything and would spend some time chatting with us, which we enjoyed. She really made us feel like locals and not just tourist which is reason to come back the next time we are in Texas.

My husband and I thought we had the best Chinese restaurant nailed until we went to Oriental Gardens. Now a longtime favorite - this Chinese restaurant never lets us down whether it is for weeknight take out or special occasions like birthdays – the servers know you and remember you! The portions are generous, food delicious and all reasonableness priced. Much to my surprise, long time clients of mine who live in the area also consider this their favorite Chinese restaurant.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant and was not disappointed. The food was great as usual. The Hot & Sour soup is my favorite and is the best of any I have had. Can't go wrong eating here.

Have been here many times. Food has always been fresh, plentiful and delicious. Take out always good. They make General Tso's the best!

Love their chicken wings, which are superior to any we've ever had. They prepare their food fresh and my favorite dish is the Mandarin Triple Delight; shrimp, chicken, beef & veggies in a potato string basket. My husband and I have come here for years and never once been disappointed in the food or service. The owner, Ben, and staff will make you feel right at home. Try sitting up in the bar area where there's a big screen TV that you can normally choose the channel on. The decor is upscale but very comfortable, with padded arm chairs and white tablecloths. Try it, you'll love it if you adore good Chinese food.

A friend recommended this restaurant which has been there for years. Each of us ordered something different so we could taste a variety of dishes. The platters were large with more than enough on each to not only share, but to take some home. The hot and sour soup, the egg drop soup and the wonton soup were delicious as appetizers and the meals themselves served with rice were very delicious. We have visited 2 times this month for dinner and once during lunch which offers soup and egg roll with an entree and rice for a very reasonable price. Their prices are reasonable and the service was excellent. They kept our tea glasses filled and offered take home cartons when they brought the bill and fortune cookies. We will definitely be returning and continue to try their huge menu. They even offer plates for those on a diet. You will definitely find yourself well filled and content when you leave the restaurant which won't break your bank.

The restaurant had been recommended by co-workers as a favorite lunch spot, but we were very disappointed. We should have simply turned around the minute we walked in the door and were hit with the bad smell, but since we've been searching fruitlessly for good Chinese food in NW Houston, we were determined to give it a fair chance. There wasn't anything that was really good; only some things that were less bad (the cashew chicken and Mongolian beef were edible if mediocre). But the hot & sour soup was sweet (who does that?!!), the dove shrimp (a 'chef's special') was inedible, with the chili shrimp tasting like they were smothered in barbecue sauce and the lobster sauce shrimp tasting like, well, decorum prohibits a more graphic comparison. Even the hot tea managed to taste like dirt. The decor is actually quite nice, with some dramatic hammered-metal wall art, and the service was acceptable if not overly friendly. Alas, our search for a good Chinese meal in NW Houston continues.

Wonton soup is filled with vegetables and wontons. Good food portion sizes. Really enjoy their food. Great service. Reasonable prices.

We noticed most of the people were locals who seemed to be regulars. Our waiter asked us if this was our first time and give us advice. We had the Spicy Pepper Beef over white rice. The food arrived fast and was hot. We enjoyed our meal and liked the big portion at a reasonable price. The décor could use a little freshening up, but was still nice.
Excellent Food and Plenty Of it. If dinner, share unless you want to take home.
We ate at Oriental Gardens at the recommendation of my mother in law who lives in Houston and has eaten at the OG a number of times. We expected good food, which we received, but we were not prepared for the size of the servings. After we were finished eating, we took home enough food for a complete second meal. The Pork Egg Fu Yung was excellent and much thicker that I had been used to seeing in previous visits Chinese Restaurants in Jersey. All the dishes were served fresh, hot and plentiful.
