What a treat

By Pundah17 |

Back at Oscars again and what a fine experience. Service was impeccable with servers not having “attitude” which makes for a nice change these days. Starters were all great. The Wedge and the House Salad first class and way superior to Peter Lugers the night before. The hamburgers are a treat and the rib in bone just the best Amazing selection of sides. If you have space the cookie and ice cream is a must. Will return for New Years Eve. Can’t wait

Wonderful way to end our trip to Vegas. The views are incredible. Bobby was our host for the night and made everything absolutely perfect for us all. Now I love my steak and red wine and the recommendations from Bobby were just awesome. Yeh it's not cheap but in Vegas you're gonna end up paying $11 for distinctly average lager everywhere you go, so a bit more for some truly memorable wine and food is massively worth it. Thank you Bobby for an awesome evening

OSCAR'S IS A FIRST CLASS TREAT

By DONALD A |

The last time we were in Las Vegas in October we weren't able to make a reservation. They are a popular restaurant so I recommend a reservation at least a week before. We enjoyed their signature Chopped Salad with tomatoes, avocado, cucumbers and what seemed like seaweed or some kind of lettuce. It was large enough to feed me and my wife. The crab cakes were outstanding and you need one per person. We enjoyed the desserts. My wife had the cheesecake and it was too big for her to finish. I had the Creme Brulee and really enjoyed it.

Stellar food; Amazing Ambiance; Nice View.

Oscar's was fantastic. Perhaps it was because it was Sunday night, but I did not have to wait for a table. The food service was prompt and the wait staff were excellent. My lobster bisque was the best lobster bisque I've ever had, and I'm a foodie with Maine in his blood! Nice chunks of lobster and you could taste the lobster shell stock. I borderline licked my bowl. Had a very interesting conundrum with the ribeye steak. The good news is that it was fantastically cooked: wonderfully tender, medium rare, with the meat speaking for itself. I added a little salt for my taste and it was divine. The "bad" news is that I thought to myself, "I've definitely made a steak this good at home before." That simply means I will try something more adventurous next time! I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes, and once again it was obviously made from scratch and exquisitely seasoned. My initial plan was to Uber to the strip, hit up a buffet, gamble, and uber back. After crunching the numbers for rideshare, I realized that I could stay right on Fremont and go to a high-end steakhouse! I am very glad I did, and if I am in Fremont again I will give Oscar's very strong consideration. That being said: I could have drank a gallon of their lobster bisque. Based on that, and otherwise completely blind, I would recommend their seafood options 100%! If I absolutely had to nitpick: as someone not used to fine dining, I was a little surprised to find that a side was not included with a steak. I was prepared for the expense, but others may like to know up front that your $60+ steak will come out alone unless you order a $15+ sidedish.

ambiance and views

I was a hotel guest at the Plaza Hotel, so it made sense to give "Oscar's Steakhouse" a try. Besides, some say/write that Oscar's is amongst the best steakhouses in Las Vegas. It is named after former city of Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman I arrived and advised the hostess that I would be dining alone. Normally in this situation, I would eat at the bar--but all the seats at the bar were taken. Interestingly, I was able to get a seat on the outdoor patio, aside the glass wall overlooking Main Street. This provided a view of Circa and Fremont Street's LED display canopy. I ordered: a "Carolyn's" 16oz prime rib ($51.00); a baked potato ($12.00); a wedge salad ($14.00); and a Bombay Sapphire gin & tonic ($15.00). With tax ($7.71), my ticket was $99.71 before gratuity. I asked for a rare cut of prime rib. The beef arrived with a very good temperature. The meat was tender and had both good taste and texture. In an a la carte situation, I have received baked potatoes big enough for two. The potato received here was large, but not massive. The salad was nice visually, and in taste. I won't hold back: For a restaurant at this price point, the service was "good", but a little uneven. I didn't say anything, but towards the end of the dinner service, the waitress thanked me for my patience and admitted that the outdoor patio had just recently opened, and they were still working out some kinks. The price for a meal here is not inexpensive. But Oscar's provides ambiance. They have their rotunda dining room with views of Fremont Street for year-round dining--and it now has a new outdoor dining area for fair weather seasons. Check the website for operating hours--but apparently, it is only open for dinner service.

Amazing food; slow service

By dgcubfan |

Outstanding food, and we tried a lot family style: oysters shrimp cocktail Pork belly app chopped salad rib cap steak Cheeseburger Brussels sprouts Mac and cheese Baked chocolate chip cookie Carrot cake Even the cappuccinos were great. Only complaint was the service was incredibly slooooooooooooooow. Yes they are probably hurting for good help like everyone else but it really stood out. So if you have some time… the food is definitely worth it.

Delicious!

By Heather |

I had the butternut squash soup, the salmon, a slice of pecan pie, and a slice of pumpkin cheesecake. Everything was amazing especially the soup!

Food was excellent but a little pricey.

Ambience and food were great. The prices were a little high but so is everything else in Las Vegas lately.

Elegant old Vegas!

By Gara R |

We made reservations for a special evening with family. We were greeted and seated promptly, and our waiter, Eric, introduced himself and explained the menu to us. Since there were 5 of us, we decided to split 2 of the Tomahawk steaks, which were sliced in the kitchen and served family style. We did order cocktails, all of which were delicious. We were advised by Eric to share an appetizer of calamari, since the steak would take a while. The calamari was lightly battered and very tender, served with a choice of sauces. Our steaks arrived, along with our sides. The steaks were done to our specifications and very tender. We ordered Brussels sprouts, creamed spinach, 2 orders of mashed potatoes and some Mac and cheese. All were enjoyed! We had a bottle of Cabernet to share. Dessert was fabulous - a warm chocolate chip served with vanilla ice cream in a mug that was perfect for a cold evening. A memorable evening with great company, fabulous food, and elegant surroundings! The view of the canopy over Fremont street was spectacular, and the sparkling lights enhanced our dining experience.

You must try

By Jimmyh174 |

Great experience at Oscars. Everything we could have asked for and more. We are coming from NY and S Florida so there are not a dearth of great restaurants. We wanted real Vegas experience and decided to venture down to Fremont street to eat at Oscar's. What a great experience. The staff was amazing. Arlene was a fantastic waitress. We had an overall great experience and considering the amazing number of choices for steakhouses here we would definitely come back .

Miserable reception staff, excellent waiter, good food and venue.

By Carlos The Jackal |

The girl on reception greeted us with a scowl and did not say one word to us when I politely said that we had a reservation. She just passed a slip to another girl to seat us. If someone is that unhappy at working in Oscars then management need to relocate them away from customers out for an enjoyable experience. The waiter was excellent and very friendly. Food was good as usual and the setting inside is one of my favourites in downtown.

Never mind the look...

By Eddel |

I was a bit dubious at first, The Plaza Hotel, where Oscar’s is located, is markedly opposite to the glamour and friendliness ruling at most of the resorts on the strip. Even when at Oscar’s, the look and style still felt unconvincing but still went in. Since the very welcome our mind began to change with the politeness of the staff, we arrived somehow early and got a table right in front of Fremont St., which uplifted the otherwise sober mood of the restaurant. There’s no doubt Oscar’s bears its years, and although there’s a brand new terrace, the place can’t get rid of the old fashioned, worn out steak house style, which only gets accentuated by the brown palette and the sepia windows. Truth be told, the place is not appealing by itself and is far from current fashionable, instagramable decor trends. On the other hand, though, old fashion steak house service was amazing!!! It’s been a while since the last time I’ve encountered such a professional service. It’s hard to describe it, but both the waiter and the busboy provided an amazing service. Both guys were not just serviceable, highly efficient, knowledgeable about the menu and the places’ history, and courteous; they also were graceful, discrete yet always present, and entertaining. They not just did their job seamlessly, but from time to time they stopped by to check on us and throw an anecdote or interesting fact about the restaurant, the owner, or Las Vegas; and their timing was perfect!!! Finally, regarding the menu, well, there were no surprises here. Oscar’s follows the steak house script by the letter: shellfish cold bar, hot appetizers, a few entrees consisting of fish, chicken, lamb, and pork; and of course, the well-known steaks and sides. All in all, Oscar’s food was great!!! The cold bar shrimps were fresh and considerable in size (though with a somehow spicy dressing); the doneness of the steaks was flawless, crispy on the outside and very juicy in the inside; the quality of the side asparagus and mashed potato was top notch; and the crème brulee was heavenly creamy and mild in sweetness. Would I recommend this place??? I think I would!!! Just be mindful that you’re not attending a hot spot for your IG feed.

Downtown Vegas History, Great be could be better

By GlasgowVegas |

Firstly. The Dining Room room here beyond amazing. Don't eat outside, reserve for here. Meal tonight was very good. We have eaten here before though and it's not as good as it used to be though. Reception welcome was awful. Surly and unfriendly. Both girls far more interested in cleaning stacks of menus and then carrying them about. Ordered drinks on arrival after a fair wait. Had to wait again when waiter discovered that beer ordered was out of stock. Also, asked for chosen wine to be served with steaks but waiter said to ask for it later to remind him. Not great service. Food was massive and great. Both steaks cooked to perfection. Shame to see the Spilotro skirt steak removed from menu. Creamed Corn excellent. Masked potato, way too salty but was removed from bill with zero hassle. If, I could suggest any improvement. It would be the keenness by the waiters to top up the water glasses. It's almost comical after one sip that they race in and then fill it up. Also, it all felt quite rushed. I understand the need to flip tables but it wasn't near capacity so slow down. Still, very very good food in amazing surroundings but service could be so much better.

Delicious Dinner

By Scott B |

If you want some great food, old school charm and warm welcoming service, than you have to make a reservation for dinner at Oscar's Steakhouse. The food is amazing. The rib cap just melts in your mouth. The lamb chop was the best I have ever tasted and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Bobby, our server, recommended the side dishes for us. The cream corn was a total game changer for us. You got to try it once, even if you are not a fan of corn. Everything was just delicious. The view of Freemont Street while sitting in an old school booth eating delicious steak is the closest thing to old Vegas charm you can get. And again, be sure to ask for Bobby. He is the best!

Iconically Delicious!

By C2428SBbenjaminl |

Iconic! Absolutely the Best restaurant to top off my visit to the Fremont Experience and downtown Las Vegas (Old Las Vegas). Great location right on top of historical Fremont Street downtown Las Vegas and in the Plaza Hotel and Casino. Visited and dined by famous political and Hollywood celebrities. Beautifully decorated with glass windows view to all the lights of Fremont Street, chandeliers and perfect spot for date nights. Excellent service by the waitstaff especially Quinn our waitress. Absolutely wonderful! Friendly, attentive, polite, courteous and professional. Started off with fresh baked dinner rolls. Awesome! Ordered the prime rib rare. Awesomely prepared to perfection. Best good chunk of meat compared to other prime rib joints. Brings me back nostalgicly to days of Victoria’s Station. Rare as I prefer, succulently delicious, seasoned and delectably tender. Accompanied with horse radish. Well worth the price. Highly recommend! I will definitely return to try the other items on the menu. So good!

Not Worth The Expense

By Rich B |

The service was excellent and the ambiance was quiet. I thought the filet mignon was dry and tasteless. The crab legs were good but hard to eat without a small seafood fork. My lobster tail was tasty but a bit overcooked and got cold quickly.

Rude staff cold food a day overpriced substandard steaks

By Jayson N |

Worst experience we had while in Las Vegas. Rude staff, over charged us and refused to discuss it. The food was cold and substandard. Oh and did I mention the staff were rude as hell. What a rip off and wouldn't eat here again if it was the last restaurant in Vegas.

Great steakhouse and a throwback to old Vegas. Highly recommended.

By Chad26003 |

My wife and I had dinner at Oscar’s on a Thursday night. We had a great table right near the front with an amazing view of Fremont St. The place has a great atmosphere in the evening. Big band music plays over the sound system in a dimly lit restaurant that glows with bright lights and neon of Fremont St. casinos. Pleasantly feels like a throwback to the older days of Vegas. Food was great. Steaks were excellent. Had the best calamari I’ve had to date. Our experience was so good that we planned to return on our last evening in town, but didn’t get to make it. Definitely on our list to return to next trip! Highly recommended.

Oscar's Restaurant Downtown

Great location for dinner if you are going to the Smith Center for a show Downtown. Service is excellent and the Filet Oscar is definetly one of the best I have ever had. Stop and take a picture on the way out with the Mayor

Classic

By pillowsofwanderlust |

A steakhouse restaurant is almost a requisite for every Vegas Hotel. For this downtown stay, my choices were Top of Binions, Hugo's Cellar (Four Queens), Vic & Anthony's (Golden Nugget), Barry's Downtown Prime (Circa) and Oscar's (Plaza). Since I was staying at the Plaza and Oscar's glass-domed dining room is iconic, I chose Oscar's. Plus, the menu was the most to my liking, and a bit more reasonable price-wise than some of the others. Named after Oscar Goodman, a former mob attorney and Las Vegas mayor, Oscar's menu and dining room are retro and classic. While the main (and most coveted) dining area is under the glass dome, there is also seating at the bar (which also has booths and high-top table) and at a new outdoor patio overlooking Fremont St. Even the servers say the desert heat makes dining and serving on the patio uninviting and unbearable at times. Based on recommendations from my server, I ended up ordering all classic dishes. I starter with an ample seafood platter with shrimp, oysters, a crab leg and a lobster claw and half tail, plus crab salad and 3 accompaniments. My 24 oz. bone-in ribeye was cooked as ordered and nicely charred. My sides were creamed spinach and creamed corn. The creamed corn was exceptional, with a puree of corn and butter topped with whole kernels of grilled corn. A round of Parker House rolls is served to all tables. The desserts also looked classic, but I had 2 Pinkbox doughnuts waiting in my room, so I skipped them. Service was quick and attentive. Food comes out fast. I think I was in and out in just about an hour. Highly recommended, but I definitely would reserve for dome seating.

Great food and service!

NICK was the best server. Loved listening to him talk about his 45 years in Vegas. Great stories and could have stayed another hour talking with him. Great meal and service!

Cool atmosphere, below average food…

By Chad D |

First the good: The atmosphere of Oscars is very cool. It doesn’t get anymore old school Vegas than over looking Fremont while having a drink. The happy hour and staff at the bar were great as well and led us to have very high hopes for our dining experience. The waitstaff was excellent and exactly what you would expect for this type of restaurant. Now the bad(ish): The food did not live up to the cool vibe of the restaurant. The steaks, while perfectly cooked were underwhelming at best. I have had the opportunity to visit some excellent steakhouses across the country and unfortunately Oscar’s did not deliver. The steak was basically flavorless but pricy. I frankly have had better steaks at a chain such as Longhorn. It wasn’t bad, just no where near what we expected and have experienced at similar places. Maybe it was an off night, as the reviews we read talked about how great the food was. A little disappointing that our anniversary dinner was an average meal at a very above average price.

Great waiter service

By stevebintley |

It wasn’t the greatest start to an evening dinner here, since the greeting we received from the entrance desk was rather ‘grumpy’ and made us feel more of a hassle than welcome, but fortunately the rest of the experience was the polar opposite! The dining area is unique with a circular layout and not like anything I’ve seen before, but if you’re lucky enough to secure one of the window tables then the view is lovely. Unfortunately we were seated more towards the kitchen but had a spacious table and comfortable seating. The waiter was superb throughout, taking time to explain different options on the menu and recommend certain options. It was nice to point out we’d probably ordered too many sides rather than leave us looking far too greedy! He was both friendly and professional and clearly knew his stuff! The oyster starter was presented perfectly with all the accompaniments and the meatball option was large and tasty. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were sizeable, with the creamed corn being a particular favourite. There’s a decent range of wines available at prices not too ridiculous, along with the food served and presented well. Overall it ended up being a really enjoyable evening and I’d love to return.

Could have been better

I choose Oscar's for my birthday dinner. I've been looking forward to it for months. Sadly, I was very disappointed. Our waiter took quite awhile to even greet us. Once he did, he appeared rushed. I ordered the Caesar salad and rib cap. The salad was good. My steak was cooked correctly, but so tough and had no flavor. I honestly think they gave me the wrong cut. Unfortunately, my husband was almost done eating by the time the waiter came to check on us. I literally had a small Caesar salad as my birthday dinner. On the bright side, my husband enjoyed his chicken. Maybe someone can tell me by looking at the photo if my steak was the correct cut? They did offer a complimentary dessert, which was nice. I am just so disappointed my experience was lacking all of the excellent things I read in other reviews.

Not worth it!

By LougeneLampasona |

Nice restaurant but don’t order your steak med well. It will come back a brick and not very pleasant to chew! I should’ve sent it back especially since it was $69

Old School Classic Steakhouse

By vocanesian |

We’ve tried many of the restaurants downtown, Oscar’s is the best for food and atmosphere. We split a wedge salad and thought it was the only disappointing part of the meal. It was light on bacon and cheese. My wife enjoyed her scallops and I had the bone-in ribeye. Both were cooked and plated perfectly. Our sides were a ridiculously good mac-n-cheese and nicely done roasted brussel sprouts. We split a simple, but memorably good, slice of cheesecake. If you’re looking for artsy, edgy, dishes, go somewhere else. Oscar’s delivers classic favorites with a great view overlooking the west end of the Fremont Experience. Spend a little time to read about Oscar Goodman before you go and you’ll know about the namesake and his amazing story as mob lawyer and longtime mayor.

Went to oscars for our anniversary, loads off character, shown our table with a view of Fremont st. Lovely waiter. We ordered lobster soup and calamari, lovely. We then ordered 2 rib eye with baked potato n fries, steak came out and they were huge but asked for medium they came out rare so off they went, came back very nice, couldn't finish them lol. Got the bill 😲 wasn't really bothered I knew it would be expensive. 1 thing pissed me off, table off 6 next too us got their bill n then we heard 'would anybody like complimentary dessert and cocktails'. This group were also British. It would off been nice to be offered maybe a drink considering a couple just spent over $200. Won't go again. But still nice.

Not the Anniversary Dinner We’d Hoped For

By FromAlaska |

I took my husband here for a 25th wedding anniversary dinner I really wanted to love this place but we actually didn’t even like it when it was all said and done. When I made the reservation I noted that we were celebrating an anniversary. I wasn’t hoping for at least some kind of celebratory acknowledgment of this great milestone. That didn’t happen. The service was lackluster and while the food was good, there was nothing that will bring us back. I did speak with Karla (assistant restaurant manager) before we left and provided her with feedback on our lackluster experience. She offered to have us back for dinner as her guest but we already had plans. She genuinely apologized and gave me her business card and said to contact her if we ever came back to town. The bill was $215 for a rib cap, prime rib, mashed potatoes, baked potato, a chopped salad, one alcoholic and one nonalcoholic beverage, so the price wasn’t bad at all for a steakhouse.

Great Steakhouse

This was our first visit to this restaurant and celebrating my husband’s birthday. What a great treat. The hostess sat us by a window with a great view. Our food and server was awesome. We had the tomahawk and cream corn amazing.

The REAL Vegas

By Lakotah1212 |

We decided to try a restaurant off the strip and the multitude of chain establishments. We could not have made a better choice than Oscars. Great atmosphere and even better food. The service staff was top notch and the bartenders very friendly and knowledgeable. Do not let the age of the Plaza lobby hotel fool you upon entering. This was the Vegas experience we had been missing on our past visits. Highly recommend.

Amazing Birthday Dinner

By Lisa T |

Wow what an excellent dinning experience. All the staff were very welcoming. Our server Nick was very knowledgable, and advised us on which steak to choose. (24oz Bone In Rib Eye and Sallys 14oz New York Strip) Both meals were fabulous, the steak flavoursome and tender, the lobster tail was tasty and succulent. Cocktails were amazing 🍹 A real Gem of a restaurant Highly recommend if your in town.

Hot Bread and a delicious meal

By Floy P |

Nina was an excellent ambassador/hostess and made sure we had a lovely meal. She covered the history of Oscar's also. We were seated with an excellent view of the Freemont experience. The meal was beyond our expectations! The pork belly appetizer and meatballs were so flavorful. Our steaks were seasoned perfectly and with just the right amount of char. Our side was the Mac n cheese which had a smokey crust and a rich French cheese base. I'd fly back to Vegas just to eat here on the next visit. All of the staff is very professional and attentive. A wonderful experience. I've paid twice this amount at other steak restaurants for sub par food. Oscar's is among the top!

Fabulous meal every time

By SUE M |

We love Oscar’s steakhouse. It is one of the best steakhouses downtown. Bobby, our server was spot on, very personable and professional. He’s been there a long time. Our filet was melt in your mouth juicy and tender. You could cut it with a butter knife. The bread has changed since our last visit and I must say because I’m picky on breads, it was excellent….served warm, very soft and had a slight bit of seasoning on top. Our chopped salad was spectacular, a must here. We’ve never had a chopped salad like this one. We split the smashed potatoes and they were just good….regular mashed potatoes. Our friend ordered the prime rib with asparagus and said it was excellent …. It look fabulous too! The atmosphere here is second to none. It is pricey and everything is alacart but if you are looking for a great steakhouse in downtown Vegas, it’s a must.

It'd have been 5 stars, if it weren't for the front of house...

By Mike S |

Let's start with the good stuff - the steak was UNREAL. Cooked perfectly, and the sides were simply flawless. Our waiter was great, the drinks were spot on, and the price, for Vegas standards, was about right. You won't go far wrong with the food at all, and in such an iconic setting. However... the lady that greeted us at the front desk looked generally disappointed that she had to do her job. No smile, no friendly greeting, and she randomly sat us at the back of the restaurant so we had no view, when it was a relatively quiet evening. It's SO important for the first impression to be spot on, and our first impression simply wasn't good.

Just okay

By Freckleface29 |

When we arrived we were greeted with the grumps girl who didn’t know if there was a table free? We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of drinks which took a long time and bar attendant was clueless to say the least. In the restaurant we were well attended too, food was quick and nicely presented. The bread starter was late coming out so clashed with our meal which meant we had no time to enjoy it. The server was attentive and friendly. Water glasses were empty and no refill was made. In general terms, it was just okay.

A Vegas must!!

Where to begin? The food was outstanding. Manny's Rib Cap with Creamed Spinach is to die for. The Happy Hour Shrimp Cocktail is exceptional. Chelsea at the bar was cheerful and attentive. Ivan, the manager was personable and interested in each and every guest having an enjoyable evening. Oscars Steakhouse is a must-try!

Absolutely Amazing

By CM2909 |

My experience at Oscar's Steakhouse was truly the best restaurant I have ever been to in Las Vegas. We were celebrating my birthday and the staff really made it extra special, from the manager Nikos to Diane the expert Sommelier and Jason our attentive waiter. The chef Ben's food was absolutely delicious, so much so that I even had to eat their decadent triple chocolate mousse cake despite being full. It was hands down the best meal ever! We started with Oscar's salad, which was light and refreshing. My parents ordered the ribeye and loved every bite. I ordered the Ribcap. which was truly tender and moist and perfectly crisped on the outside. My daughter and husband went to town on the Tomahawk styled out by Chef Ben! Our sides included Lobster Mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, crab cake and creamed corn. To top it off, the view from our table was Fantastic. Outside the windows is the Freemont Experience. Music, performers, several stages with bands playing. Across the street is the Golden Gate and Circa. We plan to come back again soon on a Friday night to be able to view the fireworks through the glass ceiling. This restaurant is special and truly memorable. I 100% recommend it to all!! An absolutely perfect evening and amazing birthday, thanks to Oscar's.

If you have the chance - definitely book the indoor space at this restaurant!!! Enjoyed every minute of this dinner. The service was fantastic. Loved eating at such a well established place! Wonderful dinner, wine, and absolutely loved the views and leather seating!

Great Food

By Akko |

Visited the premises on a Saturday evening, thinking that we would struggle to get a table. Spoke with Ivan (sorry if I have spelt the name wrong) who was very helpful and who managed to get a table with a view of Fremont Street. Excellent service from the waiter. The Filet steak was cooked to perfection and was definitely the best on my trip to Vegas. Will be back later in the year. Worth a visit if downtown.

Just make the reservation !

By Meander563651 |

Amazing dinner and service. The evening was just perfect! Make reservations for sure and come early to have a cocktail at the bar and relax. We celebrated our parents 64th wedding anniversary and they were treated to a cocktail on the bartender, card and complimentary dessert. This just topped off an amazing evening. Service was outstanding and our waiter was wonderful. Great personality and we adopted him into our family. We had steaks, salmon and shared sides as they are large enough to do so. My steak literally melted in my mouth! Highly recommend this place for a fine dining experience.

Fantastic Service and Iconic Vegas Vibes

By Kelsey K |

A classic Vegas steakhouse experience done right! The service was excellent, and we enjoyed an amazing view of Fremont Street while dining. Every dish we tried was incredible—perfectly cooked steaks, delicious sides, and a true indulgence. Highly recommend for anyone craving a top-notch steakhouse with a fun Vegas vibe.

Great Steak House for our final night!

By Engl1shDave |

Had seen reviews for steak houses in Vegas for our final night and chose here…. and…. Loved it! We opted for the Tomahawk to share with a few sides and still didn’t finish them all lol. The service, view, atmosphere and food were excellent - Especially the steak itself that we had medium rare and it was cooked to perfection! The waiter even offered to have it sliced up to make it easier for us :-) Definitely would return.

Nice location, good food, service a BIT IFFY!! Needs improvement.

By Warren E |

Very nice, but service could have been a bit better. I made early reservations for my arrival 7pm. Was seated rather quickly, outside patio, nice view of Circa and with a turn, Fremont Street. Door staff pleasant, waiter was fine, but not great, a young man, somewhat seemingly inexperienced, or just not much of a talker. As a single diner, it's nice when people are a bit friendlier and more talkative, (which at all my other dining venues this trip, they were, some extremely so, this this sorely lacked here) as it enhances the meal. The food, very good, French Onion soup, hot and delicious, 14 oz NY Strip cooked medium, and delicious and mushrooms were terrific. With 2 of the Mayor's drink, the Hizzoner (at $22 a pop, WOW) the meal was a success. I might return, as it was nice, but I must say that with superb service this could have been a 5. Management needs to realize staffing is a BIG requirement, especially trying to be a 5 star property and with the prices they charge. Their service missed out. But as I say, it's still recommendable, but I just wish it has been better for my first meal on this year's journey.

Not Up To Par

By Robert I |

Located in the old pool of the Plaza hotel overlooking Fremont street. It is a beautiful setting. The service was outstanding and our waitress Nina was attentive and charming. I wish I could say the same about the steaks. The fillets were served cold and had to be returned. Other people ordered sea food and were very satisfied.

Wedding Dinner

By Charitey |

My sister renewed her vows in April at The Golden Nugget. We decided (last minute) to have a wedding dinner after at Oscars. We had no reservations, we just thought we would take a shot that they could accommodate us. We asked the hostess if she could seat a table of 15 all together. We explained that my sister just got married and we were so excited to try Oscars as we had heard such wonderful things about it. She was so nice (I wish I could remember her name!!). She said she wasn't sure but she would see what she could do. She came back a few minutes later and told us we could have 3 big booths together immediately if that would suit us. WONDERFUL!!! The food was amazing, the service was fantastic, and the entire experience was unforgettable! I highly recommend Oscars if you are ever in Vegas and want a wonderful dining experience!

We chose Oscar's steakhouse for our 20th anniversary dinner...and it did not disappoint! There were all types of people dressed in all different ways. We were a little more dressed up, but there were people in shorts and polos. The atmosphere was the absolute best. We ate at about 830, so the party on Fremont was in full-swing! You get to see all of the lights while you enjoy your food. I got chicken and hubby got steak. Delicious. The bread they bring before the meal was outstanding and we had the pork belly for an appetizer. They brought us a dessert for our anniversary too! I could not have been happier with our meal, the service, or the atmosphere. You MUST eat here on your trip!

A must try restaurant for excellent food and vibes

By Jesssb75 |

Oscars is a must try restaurant downtown in my opinion. We originally booked for 29th April however due to a private event we moved the booking to the 30th (for which Oscars very kindly gave us a complimentary app and dessert - which was a lovely gesture and very unexpected). The meal itself was fantastic, great service as always and dining al fresco with a view of Fremont was a dream. The whole experience was very memorable, thanks to Gatsby and the team - what a lovely way to sign off our holiday. Meal highlights - meatballs, scallops, filet, crème brûlée.

Perfect Evening!

By Christina E |

This was a first visit to Oscar's for our party of 5. We were seated with a perfect view of Fremont. Our waiter, NZaia, was timely, very attentive, well versed in the menu, and very pleasant. Our meals exceeded our expectations - hot, delicious, plentiful, and perfectly cooked. I would definitely go back!

Customer Service at its best.

By TonyLonsdale |

This will appear to be a contradictory review... however...we chose Oscars after watching many Youtube reviews etc. Being at the top of Freemont St and having an outside terrace was an added attraction. Add to that the history of Oscar Goldman this place had a certain "Vegas" draw to it! We arrived, were greeted politely and shown to the bar. Bar staff were pleasant and professional. We were taken to our outside table. Initial impressions were that the environment was not exactly salubrious, nothing wrong with it, very clean, but not quite "posh" as expected. Our waitress was the very lovely Liz. This young lady is a credit to Oscars and her generation as a whole. It's rare to find people who are so genuinely engaged in their delivery of service to ensure your time with them is special. The starters were very good, a shrimp cocktail....which in UK terms were the largest prawns I've ever encountered and a very tasty Caesar Salad. The mains we opted for were Scallops and a Prime Rib steak. The scallops were very good. It's not always easy to cook scallops to maintain their delicacy without turning them into rubberised marshmallows, Oscars do scallops to perfection. My order for Prime Rib was however born of my ignorance of what "Prime Rib" is. It's not a cut of steak I regularly, if at all, have seen in the UK. The steak arrived...very pink, not as expected. I ate very little of it and was quite disappointed. Tonight was our 60th Birthdays mid year celebration. 6 months after mine and 6 months before my wifes. However, the steak I've no doubt was top notch for a Prime Rib, I'd ordered in complete ignorance of what it would be like. My fault, not Oscars. Liz noticed that I'd ate very little of the 16oz steak and I explained why but also emphasised that it was my error, not the restaurant's. A couple of minutes later a suited gentleman came over to us. this was Nikos the manager. He was genuinely concerned that my steak had not been to my liking. I explained that it was purely my mistake but he kindly insisted that "I can't let you go home hungry". After some banter he returned with the desert menu, let me know what you would like, please, it's on the house". Minutes later a large plate arrived with a Cheesecake, a HUGE slice of Velvet Cake and an unexpected Chocolate mouse with "Happy Birthday" decorating this plate of indulgent goodness. I often believe that true exceptional service is demonstrated when things go wrong, regardless of fault, in this case mine. I simply cannot do anything other than praise Liz and Nikos for looking after us so well. We chatted with Liz for quite a while about all sorts, she is a wonderful young lady. Sadly Nikos had left before we had a chance to thank him for his understanding. To top it all Liz deducted the side order of Fries from our bill in addition to the above complementary deserts. Was it the experience we were hoping for? Sadly not. Would we return? YES without a doubt. Overall these good people care about your food and your experience when in their company and that is increasingly rare these days. Having two glasses of champagne whilst enjoying the Plaza 9.15pm Friday fireworks added to the evening. Despite this Prime Rib I'd still thoroughly recommend Oscars. If Oscars are reading this, my Tripadvisor user name is a nickname. Thank you from G & M.

Valentines

By mollyanna 22 |

Chose this restaurant for valentines meal and was not disappointed . Arrived early and had cocktail in bar area while waiting for table . Host was giving out red roses when seating which was a lovely touch . Lovely table with plenty of room . Food was amazing and so was the wine . Was well worth the taxi from the strip and we will be visiting again when we come back to vegas in July . Loved this place !

First Time Excellent Food and Drinks

By Pittsburgh16066 |

This was my wife and I first time at Oscars and boy have we been missing it. Went for dinner and drinks. Sat at the bar and Daniel was our bartender/waiter. He was very personable and helpful both for excellent drinks and the menu items. He took great care of us all through the evening and we felt like old friends. All the food items we ordered including the meatballs, salad and prime rib were outstanding. The drinks were very generous and well made. The atmosphere was wonderful. We will be returning often and we really found a wonderful gem here. Thank you Daniel for your service and to the chef for his wonderful food.

A real treat to be back at Oscars

By Pundah17 |

Back at Oscars for New Year’s Eve , what a great having missed it last year due to Covid Love the ambience at Oscars with some really interesting people enjoying the festivities Not least mayor Oscar himself. We dined family style and the starters were all outstanding Followed up with a selection of steaks including a New Year’s Eve wagyu special which was mouth watering. Rib eye also delicious and cooked perfectly. Sides were pretty amazing too Had no space left but managed to force some of the warm chocolate cookie and ice cream down as it is an absolute must. Not to mention the incredible firework and drone display that followed at midnight. What a way to bring in the new year. Can’t wait for my next visit.

9th Anniversary Excellence

By CWalley |

Sheer Excellence - from the parking lot attendant to each and every employee we had contact with, each were awesome at what they do. The food was stellar, the service was spot on (including our server insisting that I allow her to get me a new drink when she could tell I wasn’t thrilled with what I had ordered). The entire night at Oscar’s was one to remember and made my wife and I’s ninth anniversary unforgettable.

Oscars Lived Up To It's Reputation As A Top Steak House In Las Vegas, NV

By wirenut1462 |

Me and my significant other went to Oscar's in Las Vegas NV to celebrate her birthday. I had also made advance reservations indicating that this was a birthday celebration. We arrived at our reservation time and was immediately seated. The hostess even mentioned the birthday celebration to us so it indicated to me that the restaurant was aware of the celebration. We were seated just across from the window area and had a great view of Fremont Street. Based on recommendations from reviewers both on YouTube, Facebook and Tripadvisor, we had an idea what menu items we were going to order. I had even mentioned the birthday celebration to one of wait staff, asking him if they did anything for a persons birthday. He indicated that Oscars did do something and that he would mention it to our waiter, Eric. We also got some interested menu suggestions from Eric our waiter and everything was just great. The only thing that did not happen was that there was no mention by Eric about the birthday, not even a "Happy Birthday". There are some restaurants that due to some "legal" issues will not celebrate a persons birthday but there was nothing to indicate that was an issue at Oscars. Although we had a great dinner and service, I am extremely disappointed in the lack of recognition regarding my significant other's birthday as that was one of the main reasons for going to this fine Las Vegas steakhouse.

Amazing food and service!!

Incredible food and service!! We will definitely be back!!... loved it!! Definitely get the Mac and cheese!..

Great place for dinner

By Francis F |

Eric our waiter was fantastic very friendly and helpful. The food was great, I highly recommend the chicken. Great option for fine dining. Oscars is far better than Mon Ami Gabi which I tried a couple days later and was a huge disappointment. If you are looking for fine dining in Vegas give Oscars a try

Amazing!

By croftys505 |

An amazing experience! The food is superb and the drinks were delicious and plentiful, the staff were heavenly and we were delighted. A amazing view from the table just added to the happiness they gave us. Thanks Oscars!!

Highly recommended

By Daniel Matless |

We went here for a steak on our last night in Vegas and enjoyed the best steak ever. The service was excellent, the food was excellent & cooked to perfection, and the view from our table was of Fremont St. This is not a "budget friendly" place to eat, but it`s worth every cent for the overall experience. Without doubt a place to re-visit.

Fantastic steak in a Vegas legend!

By Jamie1732 |

We had a lovely dinner to mark our last night of my birthday trip to Vegas. Had a couple of great cocktails at the bar whilst we waited on the restaurant finding a spot in Bobby’s section. Meatball starters, bread and butter were outstanding. My main of the rib cap and my partner’s main of beef short-rib were incredible. Washed down by a lovely Cabernet recommended by Bobby. Although there was no room for desert Bobby brought us out a little birthday treat for us share. Only slight negative was our hostess who was probably just having a bad night, because every single other member of staff was outstanding. I would absolutely return.

Delicious piece of meat

By Kaagie |

I had dinner here with my husband. We had made a reservation in advance just to be sure. We were assigned a very nice table and we had a nice view outside. The employees are very friendly and the service is top notch. We both had a filet mignon and it was so tasty! And we had taken a few more sides. The restaurant is definitely recommended, you should visit it at least once. Parking is very easy. If you indicate that you have a booking at the restaurant, you will receive a free spot at the hotel.

Seriously ???

By Airmax95 |

Was surprised to get Frozen steak cut fries and packet bought pasta in the mac and cheese for two sides that will cost you $26. Friends enjoyed their food particularly the French onion soup. Place seems outdated and trading solely on the name/history of the place

awesome food

By melody |

best supper we had in Vegas. pricey to say the least. may be the best burger and filet mignon in vegas. salad was awesome also

An Absolutely Delicious Meal!

By callmekrause |

Sooooo good. Definitely worth it! I was visiting Las Vegas with friends for my birthday. This was my chosen place for dinner. It’s a little on the pricey side but the food was incredible! They even brought out a nice dessert for my birthday. My friend was also very impressed with his meal. Everything we ate was delicious!

All the gear, no idea

By ddnz |

I ordered the filet mignon. The chefs here have obviously never heard of the Maillard reaction; the top and bottom should both have a nice caramelised crust, no matter what doneness the customer orders. Suffice to say, they didn't. I also ordered mashed potatoes as a side; I got a bowl of purée. Visit me down here in NZ & I'll give all y'all a cooking lesson. Three stars for the service alone; the old-school wait staff were awesomely attentive.

Fabulous evening

By Pundah17 |

8 of us visited Oscars once again and we were not disappointed. We did everything family style and thoroughly enjoyed our meal Service was great and the old school feel is authentic Rib cap steak superb , tender and tasty Sides were excellent. To finish the cookie and ice cream is a must have Looking forward to returning for New Years

Wonderful dining experience!

By Dawn J |

Wonderful experience all the way around! We were staying at the Plaza Hotel for my Mom’s 75th birthday, and I am so glad I made a reservation for a special dinner to celebrate her at Oscar’s!! All of us truly enjoyed the ambience, the staff, Quinn (our wonderful, funny waitress) and the delicious meals! My paralegal drink was a great start, then our filets, prime rib, potatoes, mushrooms, followed by birthday dessert. definitely recommend Oscar’s for any occasion as you will not be disappointed! Thank you Oscar’s and Quinn for my making my Mom’s first trip to Vegas for her 75th very memorable!!

Average Food Great Location

By arland S |

We had a party of 4 with reservation. Location is great, loaded with Vegas history. I would assume back in the day they had awesome food. Oscars had such high reviews and a lot of praise on YouTube so we decided give it a chance. I don’t know maybe we ordered the wrong steaks? This didn’t help a group of 9 thirty something’s were seated behind us and they were loud, I’m talking Mac Donald’s play ground loud. Started with Lobster Bisque, just ok had to much sherry or whatever they use in it, I found one tiny piece of I think lobster. The free bread was good and we all loved the mashed potatoes. Due to us all liking our steaks cooked to different temperatures we didn’t share the huge Ribeye. My wife’s RibCap was just a hunk of meat the was well done instead of medium. It didn’t look like ribcaps in the video we’ve watched. My New York Strip was ordered rare but was closer to well done. The final disappointment was dessert. The waiter who did a great job pretty much said all the desserts are very good. Wife ordered Red Velvet Cake which looked great when presented to the table however the cake was cold, right from the fridge cold. The cream cheese icing was tasteless. Maybe that’s normal for Oscar’s but for our taste cake should not be cold. We get better steak meal for a lot less money at our local steak house. We don’t mind paying for great food but this fell short for all four of us.

Excellent Old School Vegas Steakhouse

By Sandra B |

My husband and I dined at Oscars on a Friday night after a visit to the Mob museum. I selected Oscars due to the history and the owner, mob Attorney Oscar Goodman. We were seated in the main dining room and while had no view, we were happy with the old school vibe and energy of this Old Vegas style steakhouse. Our service was impeccable. Our waiter had a big smile, wonderful energy and we felt he wanted to us to enjoy our experience. He made a few recommendations such as the beet salad which was incredible! Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and the sides delicious. We had no room for dessert but left very full and happy. If you are intrigued with the Old School Vegas/Mob history of the city, add the Mob Museum and Oscars Steakhouse to your plans and lean in to a fun experience.

Nice Romantic Dinner

By Erika C |

My husband and I went here for dinner. We made reservations, so there was no wait when we arrived. The food was very good. The restaurant is upscale. The service was good. We had a good view out the window.

VERY HAPPY with this experience.

By wlreich1 |

VERY happy with the food and service at this old school Vegas gem. It took us a bit of time to get seated but that was because they were clearing and setting the best table in the house four our group of seven. We were celebrating my daughters 21st and my wife’s birthdayand they really did a great job of making it special. Between we tried several cuts: Prime Rib, Filet and dry aged Kansas City. They were all prepared excellent!! The sides too were phenomenal, the Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and crispy Brussels were dynamite. We got two beautiful desserts with candles, both on the house. A server was always on hand when you needed one but they were not intrusive in any way. Very happy with this experience.

Terrible Food Alert: This overpriced Restaurant will leave you disappointed!

By Karoadtrips |

I had high hopes when visiting this restaurant based on its reputation, but unfortunately, it fell flat for me. The meatballs started off well until I bit into pieces of bone that shouldn’t have been there. The steak arrived on a chilly plate—not exactly what one expects from such a place! Additionally, my shrimp tasted off and didn't pair well with anything else served at our table. Surprisingly enough, the highlight turned out to be the baked potato; however, “build your own” doesn’t justify what feels like excessive pricing overall for food quality so lackluster. Though our server and busboy provided excellent service throughout our meal—and for that reason alone my review isn’t entirely negative—I can confidently say this isn't where I'll spend my money again.

Restaurant with a view of Fremont

By Peg T |

Have somewhat mixed feelings about our dinner at Oscar’s. Our server Miguel was wonderful and very informative about the history of the restaurant and its owner. He was attentive and welcoming. I ordered the surf and turf and didn’t care for the shrimp. It may just be that the shrimp we get on the east coast is different so it wasn’t what I was expecting. The crust on my filet mignon was lovely but it was slightly undercooked in the middle. It was definitely good just not quite cooked to my liking. What I found annoying was the woman who came over twice to ask my husband if he wanted a box for his prime rib. Now mind you he was not only still eating but had only eaten about a third of his meal. After the second time I just said NO BOX. I spoke with the server and told him it was making the evening uncomfortable and he kindly handled the situation. Our meal ended with a lovely chocolate mousse type dessert that was provided to celebrate our anniversary. Would I go back; maybe.

Best Steak House and unique cocktails

By Susan G |

Best view downtown. The staff is sublime. We won't eat steak any other place without comparing to Oscar's

Great food, nice service, wonderful experience

By toma_nova |

Our party of 8 was seated at the round table in the center of the dining room under the chandeliers. So cool! Delicious steaks cooked perfectly, good salads to start, nice wine selection. Very attentive service which added to the experience. We arrived about 45 minutes before our reservation (Vegas traffic) and had a great drink at the bar, highly recommended.

Awesome experience !

A Vegas do-not-miss dinner or happy hour

By BostonPenguin |

Outstanding food and service. Sat at the bar, bar staff were amazing, super friendly, attentive and engaging. Danjial was a delight and an asset to Oscar’s. French Onion soup, Chopped salad, Prime Rib were all perfect. We went back a second night as we knew it was going to be perfect! Atmosphere is true- Vegas with deep history and with a local staff, you experience the full package.

A wonderful dining experience

By Alesha |

I dined at this establishment many years prior, but I did not know about making reviews at the time. I was insistent that we dine at this restaurant after seeing, Martin Scorsese's movie, Casino. I loved the service, the food, and the atmosphere. I would highly recommend this Steakhouse.

A steak experience worthy of an Oscar

By Dwight |

Oscar’s is where old-school Vegas charm meets a seriously good steak. Nestled inside the iconic glass dome of the Plaza Hotel, this spot offers elegant décor, a dash of mob history, and unbeatable views of the Fremont Street Experience. I went all in on the signature dishes—Oscar’s Bone-In Ribeye and Oscar’s Chopped Salad—and let’s just say, ordering anything with Oscar’s name on it was a winning strategy. The steak was flavorful and perfectly cooked (well, mine was—my friend’s was a little underdone), but that salad? Surprisingly, it stole the show. Beyond the food, the vibe is what makes this place special. From the statue of Oscar Goodman himself to the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking downtown, Oscar’s isn’t just a steakhouse—it’s a true Vegas experience.

wonderful restaurant.....

By diana f |

every trip to vegas we go to an expensive dining spot for a special memory & good food--this trip was oscars & it was great--we were seated by the window facing fremont & lucky enough to get bobby as our server--husband had a 'rib-eye cap'--it was very tender & flavorful--I just had a burger but it was excellent--glad we chose this restaurant to visit this trip.....

Great Food - Great Service

By Eric S |

Great food and great service. Even with a group of 10 they never missed a beat. Our server, Nick and his team were exceptional.

Suprisingly great

By ButlerFan |

Having tried about every steak house in Vegas I was staying downtown for the first time and ate at Oscar's steakhouse. Excellent all the way around and $15 under the Strip for the same meal.

Delicious!

By Alicks P |

The FOH lady did not look up at us or smile when we arrived, the only minus point. The restaurant was very busy with a great atmosphere. Robbie, who gave us water, was very attentive and professional. So was our server but I don't remember her name. The steak I had was superb! I will definitely return here!

Dinner with a view at Oscar’s Steakhouse

By COJOWisconsin |

We started in the bar for martinis that were marginal at best. The bartender did offer to remake them, without us complaining, but to be honest we weren’t sure what would improve them. He was the bartender making the majority of the drinks for the bar and restaurant and didn’t have time to socialize with patrons. There were 2 younger bar staff that were very friendly and talkative to everyone at the bar but they weren’t making many drinks. Our server at dinner was Arlene. She was friendly, warm and helpful until we ordered and then she wasn’t around us much at all. We started with the crab cocktail which actually had the crab in the legs yet which was odd for seafood labeled as a cocktail. That being said, it was good. Our meal consisted of a shared Caesar salad, cream corn and a rib cap each. All were good but the steak was not exceptional. And oddly, my husbands was more tender than mine?! Most seating in the dining room has a view of downtown which did set it apart from steakhouses on the strip. We made the trip from the strip to eat here because of the olden days ties to the mob, the celebrity pictures and the rib cap. I don’t know that now that we’ve seen it, we’ll be back with all the other steakhouses in Vegas that have better quality steak.

Fabulous meal! Expensive but top notch!

By SUE M |

Our group loves this restaurant! Filets cooked to perfection Creamy mashed potatoes The best chopped salad we’ve ever had! Bread is very good but we miss the old sourdough bread ! (We have eaten here for decades under different names and menus). Service impeccable View is awesome Highly recommended

Lovely food and amazing service

By James M |

Went for our anniversary and weren't disappointed. Food and service were amazing with our waiter being attentive and friendly. We were at in the deniro / Sharon stone booth from casino which was a nice bonus. After our starters and main we were completely full, but had to force down a complimentary anniversary cake to not be rude. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were lovely.

Disappointed

By 282Loopylou |

Went for our 26th wedding anniversary and what a let down. The hostess was unfriendly, why do these restaurants always choose miserable people to greet you! We sat out on the terrace which we thought would be lovely. We were sat next to a table of 12 workmates and another table of 8 which was a birthday party, which was obviously not a problem they were having a wonderful time but we were on date night, which was clearly a different vibe! Our waiter was perfectly fine but never checked on us, the water boy was brilliant and then a lovely lady presented us with a delicious little dessert. Dinner was average at best. Sadly wouldn’t recommend.

Excellent dinner

By seanrobbo75 |

First class dining experience. Lobster bisque was delicious, steak was excellent in terms of size, taste & texture. Side dishes of sprouts and spinach also lovely, as was the jacket potato. Server lady was great too and location spot on. Excellent dinner and a real treat.

Good but not great

By Peter L |

We had dinner at Oscar's December 25, 2025 for the first time, and I'm sorry to say that the experience was just average. Not bad by any means, but not what we'd expected and certainly not outstanding. First, the food. Three of us shared a wedge salad, which was delicious but surprisingly small; it was about 3/4 as large as I'd expected. My son really enjoyed his 14-oz New York strip, but it came significantly rarer than the medium-rare he'd ordered (which ended up pleasing him) and not hot but warm. My 24-oz bone-in ribeye was similarly undercooked and, while I appreciated that Oscar's didn't oversalt the cut as many steakhouses do, the meat was less flavorful than I'd anticipated. My wife, who's not a big fan of beef, ordered the organic chicken. It was tasty, and the size was formidable, but it was almost all protein with very little wilted greens. For sides we had the grilled asparagus, which was plentiful but insipid, and (at the waiter's recommendation), the mashed potatoes. The latter were disappointing -- creamy, yes, but relatively flavorless. For dessert we shared sorbets and found them on the grainy side, especially the raspberry. (The coconut sorbet was excellent). As for service, we found it professional but not elevated. We waited almost 10 minutes to get water; it took our waiter some time to remove an extra setting (and when he did he took a dinner knife and left an extra bread knife as well as a napkin). He did check in with us a couple of times and offered a couple of helpful suggestions -- suggesting a steak over the lamb chop, for instance -- so we have no complaints, but it was nothing special. The total bill with tax and tip was about $350, including one cocktail, one soft drink, and one glass of wine. A good meal? Yes. The best steakhouse experience that Las Vegas has to offer? Unfortunately, no. (Note: My son, who is an incisive critic of restaurants, thinks I'm overly harsh and would give our meal 4 stars)

Classic Vegas Steakhouse

We had an amazing meal at Oscars on Ash Wednesday, and we did not eat meat. The scallops and pink snapper were delicious. We also split a salad and crab cake which were also very good. Nice old fashioned and even our server, Bobby, who shared some old Vegas stories with us. Plus great dining room and view of fremont street.

Melt in Your Mouth Delicious!!!

By Henrietta F |

We have eaten dinner here numerous times and it NEVER disappoints! From the moment you get there you are treated with such professional service. The ambiance is lovely at night, especially if you are seated near the windows overlooking Fremont Street. The food and service are exceptional! We haven't had anything that wasn't flavorful and cooked to perfection. For an appetizer, get the meatballs as you won't regret it! The steaks are AMAZING!!!!! I HIGHLY recommend the rib cap steak. I don't have enough words, just heavenly!! Also, don't leave without dessert as they can't be beat. We will continue going back with each visit to Vegas. It also is cheaper than a lot of steakhouses on the strip and so much better! A must-do!

One of the best

By Kevin D |

Always love this place, amazing food, expert friendly service and an awesome ambiance. Old school Vegas vibe, the wine list Is excellent and they mix the perfect martini. I try to go here at least once every Vegas trip.

Not what it used to be

By chihawk1961 |

Not what it used to be, but not much is these days. Was our first visit in ten years and didn’t live up to expectations or memories. OK for sure, nothing bad about it except the tripling in price but just nothing like the very memorable experience of last time we dined there

Nice fancy steak dinner on Fremont

Beautiful restaurant at the Plaza. Service was attentive, food and drinks were great. Glad we finally tried Oscar's, but we loved Vic and Anthony's more. Plan on $250-300 for 2 people.

High end restaurant for a very expensive night out

By jebauser |

This is a high end restaurant. Food is very good and expensive . Had a filet that was done perfect. Others had ribeye and one had salmon. Everyone was pleased.

Old school steakhouse, so fun.

By Seetheworld |

If you are looking for an old school steakhouse, go. The service was excellent. The food was delicious and retro menu was fun. I got the chopped salad and bone marrow that made me so happy. The steaks my friends ordered were huge and cooked perfectly. What a fun night to celebrate a birthday.

Great view, good drinks, good food

By Ole3 |

Our dinner at Oscar’s was very nice. We were seated right away, and scored a booth with a wonderful view of the awesome skylight dome. We arrived before sunset and got to see the view change from brightly sunlit to neon-light lit. That alone made the location worth it. It was just what we wanted. Everything else was what you’d expect of a good steakhouse, except one thing. The expectations were of good portions, good food, good service. That expectation was met. Good, though not exceptional. The worst part of our experience was that the bar patrons were loud and the music wasn’t setting any atmosphere. For dinner, we each got a salad. We got a house salad, and a Caesar. The Caesar came as mini wedges; which might be cute, but the core’s were a bit bitter and the whole thing needed more dressing. The fresh bread was awesome. For our main courses, my friend had the prime rib and a baked potato. I had a filet au poivre’ and Oscar’s potatoes. Both were done perfectly and on par with other steakhouses. We’d planned to visit another spot for dessert and after-dinner drinks. So, overall, the restaurant will stay on my list to visit but maybe not the number one spot.

Diner celebration after a Las Vegas wedding

The help was very pleasant and professional. The expensive food was mediocre at best and the restaurant was very loud. Long nosiy wait to be served the meal. Recommend to skip the vegeatables as they were over charred. I was disappointed.

Anniversary dinner

Just good

By jjacks70 |

This place has been on our bucket list for a long time. Since we were having a winning trip, we decided to splurge on this meal. Hubby was so excited to try the infamous rib cap, and I'm a filet lover. We started with the meatballs app. I really enjoyed them. Hubby thought they were decent. He was disappointed with the rib cap. He loves the cap of the ribeye and prime rib and was told this is fatty, tender and buttery. He said it just tasted like a strip steak. It was nothing like he hoped, and nothing like what others rave about. My filet was good, a bit dry and not much seasoning. I wonder if it was dry aged? I hated to be rude and ask for salt, but it really needed salt. They were both cooked a perfect medium rare, can't complain about that. Our sides were the mac and cheese, which was excellent. And the brussel sprouts, which were good. Or waitress was very friendly and nice. They brought hubby and nice little chocolate mousse for his birthday. It was tasty. I'm glad we finally got to try it here, but sadly, we probably won't be back. It was good, but not good enough for the price and just mediocre food.

Not worth the money.

By Stephanie B |

Disappointed with service. Food was decent. Not worth the money, we had over a $300 bill and didn’t feel the value. We probably won’t return. This was our second time and still not impressed. Our server, Erik, could care less about us being there, we even had to ask for bread. We had to ask for butter for our $81 lobster that we added to our filet, which is odd. Tables around us that got sat after us had way more attention and got their food first. We told server we didn’t like our drink, it was too sour, and he didn’t offer to change our or exchange. Tough experience for the second time.

Excellent steakhouse

By Frederick R |

Excellent steakhouse with exceptional service. Nice happy hour with good prices. Wine list was extensive and fairly priced.

Way too Loud but Good Food.

By Vegaskev72 |

Couples night while in Vegas. My friend likes "old school" steakhouses and always tries to book one wherever we go. Last year, we went to the Golden Steer (Amazing!). This year, he picked Oscar's. I am very familiar with the Goodman story so I was game. Went with out with the wives. The food was very good. For appetizers wife and I had meatballs and the crab cake. We all had steaks and sides. The steaks were done perfectly and the sides were sizable. The cheesecake for dessert was nice. The only thing that will keep me from going back was that it was very loud in the restaurant. We could barely have a conversation at the table (we were seated by the window overlooking Fremont). Sadly, this doesn't seem to be just an Oscar's problem (as noise levels have increased at almost all restaurants) but it did affect the overall experience of our meal. Dinner for four with tip (and alcohol): $500.00

Oscar’s

By Eddie Proenza |

Dined at this iconic restaurant inside the Plaza’s hotel glass dome. Requested a table overlooking at the famed Fremont street light show. The ambiance was classic and elegant. We were celebrating one of our son’s college graduation. We ordered a Ribeye, a Filet Mignon Hibachi and Tomahawk. We also ordered a side order of smashed potatoes, creamed corn ( delicious) and some glazed mushrooms. The steaks were flavorful and succulent. The sides were excellent especially the cream corn. A must go restaurant if in the area. Lots of history and several movies were filmed there. The service was very good. The prices are reasonable. Highly recommend it.

Great dining experience!

By Adam S |

We were in Vegas recently for vacation and always love having a night out in Downtown Vegas each visit. We had heard about Oscar's Steakhouse and wanted to try it for dinner this trip. We booked in advance on OpenTable and arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and had a glass of wine at the bar (we caught it at the end of happy hour- be sure to check their happy hour dates/times to see if it's anything you can take advantage of during your visit). We were seated in the dome area with an amazing view of the Downtown area. Our server was Quinn and was a complete sweetheart and very warm and personable and offered to answer any questions we had. We ordered the Oscar's Chopped Salad to start for $15 and it was a really tasty salad and amazing presentation. We then ordered the Moose's Glazed Pork Belly ($18) as Quinn had recommended and it was truly amazing, it tasted like candy! We then ordered a bottle of wine, we chose a red, they started in the $70/bottle range, but have a very extensive list with a lot of wines to select from. My husband and I both ordered the Oscar's Black Angus Burger ($24) and it was truly amazing and very flavorful. The burger doesn't come with any sides, so we also ordered the Thick Cut Fries ($14) to share and these were really great as well. Quinn also provided us an anniversary dessert comp on the house and celebrated our special occasion with us. The whole dinner was very personalized and a very memorable experience and we look forward to returning to Oscar's again!

Oscar's is the Best!!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. We had excellent service, excellent food (rib cap, cream corn, and French Onion soup). This is the steak house that everyone should be raving about! Such a great atmosphere!!

Oscar's Allure

By Tereena Morelli |

When I think of Las Vegas the sensation of a bi-gone area of glamour and elegance is where I want to be. If you relate then treat yourself to a dinner at Oscar's Steakhouse! Located in the Plaza Hotel with a fantastic view of Freemont Street find yourself sitting in one of the horseshoe booths sipping an Oscar's Martini as they were in the 1990's movie "Casino". This restaurant isn't just all about the ambiance (which is my allure), but also about one of the best steaks in Vegas! Check out their website for some great history on the restaurant and it's famous owner, former mayor & mob lawyer, Oscar Goodman. Make sure to make a reservation and remember to order your steak medium rare and your martini shaken with an olive!

Hits the Mark

By MikeMoorman |

First rate dining experience. Nina, Clay and manager, Ivan were exceptional! The food a tad cool, rectified immediately, great flavor and presentation. Warning though….. Leave room for the amazing desserts! Plan on a gym day the next day . The view of Fremont Street was priceless. Enjoy as we did!

Always a good choice!

By Gaye |

This is such a great spot if you like the historical part of Vegas on Fremont Street. Fantastic food! My husband had the prime rib and it was excellent, while I had the pink snapper with a "to die for" beet salad. Best thing I have had in a long time. The atmosphere is fantastic and the service (thank you Arlene!) was great!

All dishes were excellent

By bhlraven1916 |

Must visit if you're in Vegas. The meat balls were a hit!! The lobster bisque was really good too. The chopped salad was a healthy choice. The New Zealand Pink Snapper, Berkshire Pork chop, and Manny's Rib Cap were all great choices for entrées. Overall, I had a great experience and I'd recommend this restaurant for food and service. No military discount.

Incredible!

By PairofDiceLost |

The best! Honestly, from the outside, the hotel lobby/casino, I was like, huh? But once we walked in to the restaurant, I was smitten. The food was fabulous but what made our night so wonderful was our waiter Nick. He was so engaging we wished he wasn’t working and could sit and join us! We absolutely adored him and his stories about Oscars, mobsters, old Las Vegas. Nick made our night so special and memorable! Thanks Oscar and Nick!

Oscar's Steakhouse

By EvanGuthrie |

Oscar's Steakhouse is a great place to go for a good steak and much more. I really like their menu and the location and view that they have available here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need for the best meal.

Overall very good!

By orlandofoodlover18 |

The service here is top notch! The drinks are amazing! They really know how to make an old fashioned. The bread service is very good. The meatball and pork belly appetizers were excellent. I ordered the prime rib as my main course. That's the only thing that was disappointing. I wanted medium rare, but it came out medium well. I don't like sending food back, but I was disappointed by it.

Too much fat on tomahawk ribeye

By BUSAMAN007 |

Came in on Wednesday the 5th of June and to my surprise the manger Ivan was no longer employed here! Great guy! Outside of that! I ordered the Tomahawk ribeye and yes they are fatty steaks but this steak had more fat then meat (protein) itself…I came at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday Tomahawk ribeye Salad and two baked potatoes! This dinning experience was great atmosphere but the Tomahawk Ribeye was the worst of the worst! For that price and what is also available at another restaurant I will keep my options open! (If Ivan would of been there I’m sure it wouldn’t of been so bad)

Greatly dissapointed with food.

By Charles M |

We heard that this was a great place for ribeye steak, we were served bread with course salt and not butter. Have to be a complete idiot not to see that it was not buttet unless it was intentional. Ordered med well ribeye but it was cooked med rare to medium, clesar salad was made with stocks and when my wife was eating her salad, she found a plastic fisil from a brush according to the chef after we complained about it. We were discounted for half of the meal and we received an apology from almost everybody. Was greatly disappointed with what was suppose to be a fine dining experience in vegas. Would not go back again.

Great food and warm welcome

By Alan |

We were welcomed here very warmly even though the kitchen was closing five minutes after our arrival. We sat at the bar and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed pork and chicken dishes and both were delicious. Definitely recommended if you’re visiting Fremont St

Must Try!

By Alex R |

This place is a Gem! I had the bone in Ribeye, and it was fantastic, cooked exactly how I ordered it. The steak itself was an excellent cut! The presentation was beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and ambiance is great! A nice overlook of Freemont Steet. High End Steak house quality at upper midrange price point!

Excellent meal

By Daniel Matless |

A very nice eatery located in the Plaza casino at the top end of Fremont Street. We were able to get an 8.30pm table by booking 1 day ahead. The steaks, food, wine, service were all excellent. Our second time there and we will go again when next in Vegas. Not cheap, but worth the price.

Vegas Trip Highlight

By Phil Hertel |

Booked a month in advance by my friend, and we got the Fremont Street view that he’d asked for. In fact we got a prime spot in a booth for four, just for the two of us. The view of the Old Vegas lights is truly spectacular. Just as an aside, we’d noticed that prices seem to be generally higher in Vegas - presumably the result of the pandemic - so I can’t make too much of an issue of the rather lofty pricing for a Downtown location. We had our eyes on the Rib Cap, which were ordered medium rare. We also ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon which turned out to be no longer available, so we were given a free upgrade to a bottle that was absolute nectar. The steaks were delivered with our chosen sides of mushrooms, French fries and broccolini. On my second mouthful of steak it was clear that it was cooked medium, so I reluctantly called over our server. He immediately agreed that it wasn’t cooked as requested, and brought a fresh steak after about a 10 minute wait. This wasn’t ideal, but the situation was handled very professionally and with appropriate apologies for the initial error. The replacement steak was fabulously tender and full of flavour, with not a scrap of waste. Thankfully we’d managed to find some spare room to share a New York Cheesecake for desert, as it was one of the best we’d had in Vegas. An excellent experience overall, despite the glitch with my steak. The staff were an excellent team, from the front reception desk through to the entire waiting staff and the duty manager.

Great spot

By bobgoalby |

Our group of friends wanted a great restaurant experience, and we got it here!....Two of us ordered the Filet, and it was spectacular! The view of downtown Vegas is hard to beat and the food as well as the service was top-notch! Highly recommend!

Disappointing

By Sara J |

Service was not of the standard we expected of an upscale restaurant starting with a lack of welcome from the hostesses on arrival. They seemed more interested in sorting menus than greeting guests. This was also the case with our server. The first course arrived before the wine and we had to locate and ask the server again for it. Food here was good but on the expensive side given the quality. The steak was not cooked as requested which was really disappointing in a restaurant focussing on this dish. The overall experience of Oscar's was average and for this reason, at this price, we would not return.

Great experience

By argos14 |

We had a fantastic meal there last night. After seeing Oscar on Bourdain’s show and on You Tube describing the history of this town, we had to go. Nina our server was excellent making some great recommendations- my wife love the personal seafood platter. Sommelier recommended an excellent bottle of wine, cocktails to start were great. Overall, a fun evening and some laughs.

Outstanding Steak

By jonnygrn |

The food in this place was outstanding. One of the best steaks ever. I had the rib eye as recommended by our amazing waiter Bobby on the day. Good views from the restaurant but this is all about excellent food.

Amazing Atmosphere!

By Angie W |

This restaurant is classy and beautiful with and amazing view of Freemont Street. The lobster bisque was rich and delicious. I literally wanted to lick the bowl! The caesar salad was not what I was expecting. It consisted of three uncut romaine hearts with lots of parmesan cheese but not near enough dressing and minus the anchovies. The husband and I split the ribeye. The kitchen generously sliced it for us. The steak was tender, delicious and cooked perfectly. Service is A++.

Cool steakhouse with a serious downtown Vegas vibe

By Frobozz |

Amazing domed room that looks straight down Fremont; this is an only-in-Vegas view. We both ordered rib caps (a cut you can't get everywhere and perfect if you want something more flavorful than a filet and less stomach-busting than a Pound O' Meat) and they were delicious and came as ordered. Drinks were good, too, and service was excellent with that steakhouse professionalism that I just love. We had sides of mushrooms and creamed spinach and both were satisfactory (there's really not a lot you can do with either of them, but we were happy). I'm going to drag other friends here in the future.

Excellent

By Kevin G |

Wow the best stake house in Vegas for sure, Six of us there Sunday evening 6th February, the service and food where 1st class even the manager walking around making sure everyone’s happy. So we’ll organised from start to finish. Big thank you to all the staff at Oscars for making our holiday from th UK. See you next year and have told all our family and friends heading to Vegas this year.

Great service, food just OK

By Tom P |

The restaurant is near Fremont Street and has a very nice atmosphere. Service was also wonderful. Two of the 4 meals were a hit for the two that didn't have steaks. Steaks (fillets) were just OK. The loaded baked potato had everything and the brussel sprouts were nice. Figured for the prices charged the steaks would be fantastic but they were only OK. This is one of the more reasonably priced steakhouses near the strip in Vegas that I found during my research and I personally wouldn't spend the money for a steak here, way overpriced and nothing different than you'll have at any restaurant back home.

Lovely evening meal

By Rachel C |

We visited for a celebratory meal after getting married earlier in the day. 4 of us, the bread they brought out was lovely. Then we had oysters, beautiful and fresh. The steak was cooked perfectly as requested. Our friends had the burger and the chicken. The burger was the best he'd ever had. The mash and fries sides were fabulous. A great selection of wines. Creme brulee was smooth, light and creamy, perfect. The carrot cake was lovely but a massive piece. Service was impeccable.

Fabulous meal!

By AllanG61 |

My wife and i love to try new places. We left the strip to venture down to the Plaza Hotel, to try out Oscars Had a beautiful booth looking out at down town vegas and the Circa hotel The prices are high but the quality of the food and drink was spectacular Started with French Onion soup. Very very good The best bone-in ribeye i ever had My wife had a butterflied filet that was cooked to perfection We shared a lobster tail. Very pricey but very good The best fries ever and the broccolini was delicious Chocolate cookie was to die for Service was great Nice vibe. Not super fancy Well worth the trip downtown

At least we had a good view!

By Lucygirl |

Oscar's has always been our go to for a good but not fussy meal. We had reservations for Sunday night at 5. We were seated at the window, which was lovely and a nice surprise, as we have never enjoyed that seat before. We ordered the strip to split, mashed potato's and brussels sprouts. Sides were wonderful. The steak however was not. We had requested it be cooked medium, and sliced. The meat was clearly over done. I told the server and he said that it was the lighting that made the steak look darker. He stated he could order me a new one but we would get the same thing. I was a bit surprised at the response. Rather then let the sides get cold, we opted just to eat the steak. Taste was okay, but lacking in seasoning. Please Oscar's, let this just be an off night. We will give it another try next time, but there are far to many steak houses in LV to accept less than a quality meal.

Great meal from start to finish Loved .

31st Anniversary Dinner

By Bombfiddle |

Nick Z. was our waiter, and he took great care of us, even going so far as to deliver to our table what quite possibly may have been the most delicious dessert I'd ever eaten. Our steaks were perfect, and the sides(Creamed Spinach/Mac & Cheese) were pretty remarkable as well. Top it off with half-price wine, and a bit of Old Vegas atmosphere, and Oscar's was everything we were hoping it might be. Can't wait to celebrate #32 there next year.

Birthday at Oscar’s,

Oscars for a Birthday celebration

By AmersM22 |

Celebrate a birthday with my family at Oscars. We had the center table in the center of the round area. Atmosphere was excellent, our waiter was excellent. Food was good for the price. Not the best steak I have ever had, but it was good, tender with good flavor. Everyone had an excellent time. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because, several of us had steaks that were not quite cooked as ordered, a little under. We will go back, I would like to try a couple other things on the menu.

Amazing visit

By Estela T |

Service: Let me start off by saying BOBBY was our server and he made our reservation a great time from start to finish. He deserves a bonus just for being an amazing person!! We wanted to speak to his boss after just to let them know the quality of service we experienced with him. Unfortunately, boss was not available at that moment. Bobby has great recommendations and a great personality! We had a group of 6 there for business and he helped make everyone’s night quite memorable. Drinks: I occasionally like to be surprised with new drinks. I asked Bobby to surprise me with a Gin drin of his choice. He brought it over and it was just right. Refreshing and not too sweet. Had to order another one before end of the night. Food: Had the rib cap, also recommended by Bobby. At first I was hesitant when I looked at the outside of it. I thought it looked more on the well side due its dark layer. Or maybe it was just the dark lighting. But I decided not to judge it until I tried it. I ordered medium and it was delicious. Just as he described. Sides were good. Some were a bit smaller “shareable” sides than other steakhouses I’ve been too. But again Bobby helped by bringing just the right amount that we needed for our group of 6. I added the only picture I took that night of my rib cap Dessert: Every last bite, gone View: Great view of all the lights and the show they play in Old Town. Would I come again? Definitely, the whole experience was worth it. My company paid for this business dinner. But I’d be willing to come back again on my own dime just based on this night.

Perfect place for a couples night out. The steak and seafood was exceptional! Great views also of Fremont street.

By Pat M |

Excellent steak house with an awesome view of Fremont street. The service and food quality was exceptional! Great views of the Fremont street light show also.

Rib Cap Amazing

By JeffV |

If your downtown make sure to eat at Oscars. Obviously a lot of history with the restaurant and owner. The service is impeccable. I had the Rib Cap which had more flavor than many steaks on the strip.

Food was excellent

By PlaneJaneMichigan |

The steaks and pork chops and all sides were excellent. The drinks was very good too. The wedge salad was tasty and the mashed potatoes were very creamy.

A special night out!

By LaRhonda M |

We got dressed to the hilts and had dinner at Oscar's. The food and service were amazing. We were staying at the Plaza so we only had to go down a few floors to our fabulous meal. It is expensive so plan on spending about $150 for two. I highly recommend the steaks.

Spot on. Will go back.

By JoeGOmaha |

Food, service, atmosphere were spot on and cheaper than high end steakhouses on the strip. We each enjoyed a Rib Eye (my girlfriend thought it could use more seasoning), mac n cheese, fries, and salad.

Great steakhouse with an outstanding view

By PT8 |

We enjoyed my birthday dinner here on a Saturday night. Super rib cap steak cooked perfectly. Best shrimp cocktail we have had in some time. Friendly attentive service. Nice surprise of a birthday chocolate mousse dessert. Glad we picked Oscar’s.

Great meal

By bobbo25 |

Oscars is a steakhouse close to Freemont street in Vegas and is in the Plaza Hotel. We decided to check it out on our recent trip to Las Vegas and was for our 40th Anniversary. One of our servers Nick, he was very attentive and had some great stories to tell. I had the prime rib and my wife had the salmon, both meals were terrific and with the sides it was enough that we could not finish. Also a nice touch to the evening was the special chocolate mousse cake with Happy Anniversary on it. I would definitely recommend this place for any special occasion. If we ever get back to Vegas we will for sure go back for a meal. Robert and Patricia

Go For The Food, But Get Indifferent Service

By RT H |

The food was good. Her filet was medium and my NY Strip was a perfect medium rare. We only had steak fries for our side as we just don't have the appetite we used to have. The server was nice, but he spent a lot of time at a table with four ladies having a good time at dinner. I wanted a second Old Fashioned at the midpoint of our meal, but he was busy talking to those women or visiting other tables. We had a middle-aged Asian female Oscar employee admonish us that we could not park my wife's mobility scooter at our table before my wife even got off of it. My wife moves slowly due to her infirmities and the brusque orders were insensitive. That woman said it twice more, ignoring the fact that two other service employees had already told us that they would take our cart to a parking area and bring it back when we were ready to leave. She wasn't having any of that. The food was good, but the service was mild to surly, so we won't return. And we're Locals.

Would go into battle for that Mac & Cheese

By Elizabeth J |

We went to Oscar's due to my cousin finding it on YouTube videos (in our Vegas research and prep) and she'd got married earlier that day to her husband. From the minute we arrived (an hour early, because we wanted some Happy Hour action), we were taken care of amazingly. Nina, our server at the bar, was so friendly and chatty - on learning about the wedding earlier that day she brought champagne over for the couple which was a lovely touch. Bobby also popped over to have a quick chat, which was lovely. We were seated for food at the window overlooking Fremont St, which was fantastic. Eric, our waiter, was incredibly knowledgeable. Talked us through the whole menu and advised on the best steaks, etc. Really attentive, chatty, and friendly. I had a NY strip, we also had 3 rib caps, and one filet mignon for the others. My God, what food. The steak was sublime for everyone (mine was slightly overdone for my taste but I mean slightly - not enough to affect my enjoyment of it) and oh my WORD that mac & cheese. I don't know what they put in it, but I've never had anything like it. The Borderlaise sauce was delicious, I could have drank it. Fries were great as was the asparagus. All in all, a wonderful experience by this Brit. So much so, my cousin and her new husband have already booked to go back to Vegas in October and the first thing they did was rebook at Oscar's. Bravo!

Holiday splurge

By jebauser |

First class steak house. Steaks were excellent and sides of homemade mac and cheese, Asparagus, as well as the baked potato with all the side trimmings We also had the Lobster Bisque and Frenc Onion soups, and chopped salad to start. absolutely no complaints. Restaurant is on the expensive side but, it was a very nice experience.

Worth going to just for the view and the service. Don't expect as much from the food but OK.

By Mary H |

Restaurant had a nice environment and view. Service was outstanding. Our salads were a chopped and a wedge and they were outstanding. Meatball appetizer came lukewarm at best. What really missed the Mark was the prime rib. It was ordered, medium rare and came well done. It was so tough it should not have even been served. The waiter quickly made it right though. The next piece, although was medium but was at least juicy. The hotel it is in is a bit rundown and nasty but the restaurant itself was definitely nice.

Stacks up to Chicago steakhouses easily

By BDAD68 |

Visit Vegas every fall with a group of USMC buddies. Stay at the Plaza. Eat at Oscar’s one night during our stay. I’d stack this place up against ANY Chicago steakhouse. Perfectly prepared medium rare steaks. All the sides were fabulous. All the appetizers too. Had a filet Oscar. Outstanding!!

Classic steak House and fab service

By ss042 |

It was our honeymoon and we’d booked ahead and made to feel very special From The minute we were sat down. The food was nice and well portioned size, my only criticism was that the meat seemed slightly cooler than the sides, but appreciate it could be a long way from the kitchen. Our server was a woman with short hair and she was amazing even gave us a celebration plate complimentary -10/10 For that!

Delicious Food

By Scott N |

Came here for dinner and was well looked after by our server Johnathan. Had 2 of their signature cocktails which were great. Had a steak and the crab cake and both were delicious. Perfect location would go back next time in town.

Not what I expected.

By Robert B |

Was recommended by a family member so we tried it. The atmosphere was nice with some interesting history. We got a nice filet, cooked perfectly. Disappointed in the side dish of brussel sprouts. They were cold. Were we given silverware, but no napkin. When we asked about getting a napkin, we were given several bev napkins.

Great food, service and views!

By SUE M |

Our server, Nick, was excellent. His assistant , Tro-Viah was so good and spot on. Both men have been at Oscar’s for years and take pride in their jobs. They are so personal and dedicated. I hope management sees this review. We have visited Oscars many times when staying Vegas. We love the atmosphere, the view, the service and of course the food! If you’ve never had the chopped salad, I’d definitely recommend trying it. One of the best salads ever made. We always return every time we’re in town. One last thing to mention, they added an outdoor covered dining area that looks awesome.

Oscars steak house unreal

Wow what an amazing experience, our server Jonathan was fantastic helpful and such a friendly fella. Food was literally unreal from start to finish. A must if your looking for that great sexy

Big let down

By big300al |

On June 16, 2022, we had a party of 13, they squeezed us in at table for 10. Our waiter, Eric refused to separate our checks. He said he could only do 4 checks. We needed 9. When the time came to pay, Eric literally brought ONE check and said for us to figure out who got what and how much we owed. Not sure if that is an Oscar's rule or an Eric rule but when you're spending $200 bucks for dinner, that's TERRIBLE customer service ! My rib cap and my wife's strip was just ok. The "sharable" sides of mashed potatoes and cream corn was small compared to other steak houses in Vegas. Overall, Eric's attitude about the checks set a bad tone at the beginning and never really got any better. I expected more and was very disappointed and embarrassed. Especially when I suggested this restaurant.
