Great place to grab a bite, bottle of wine or gifts for out of towners. Interesting space that is reminiscent of a European café.

Food is exquisite, don't be fooled that this is just a wine bar. Had a chorizo soup and I still remember it. Never thought I would eat a sardine, but I did and I can't wait to go back for more.

My husband and I had intended on going to Kachka but the wait was too long. I'm so glad we tried OSO - Eveything we had was delicious. We ate at the bar which was fun because the bartender was nice and a bit of a foodie. We had oysters, pork rillette, and a cheese on focaccia with figs dish that was amazing. We can't wait to go back to get more of the bacon fat chocolate chip cookies. They were beyond awesome - warm and chewy and covered in caramel. Try them with the honey ice cream.

My husband and I went to lunch here after hearing from friends that the food was fantastic. They were right - the sandwiches and salads were top-notch quality and tasted great. Cozy atmosphere, with a lot of shopping to do within the store for wine and market items. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Went for Happy Hour on Friday, and feared it would be busy. But, it wasn't! Parking was hell for those of us who drove, and the service was a bit spotty. For example, empty Dirty Dishes remained on our table too long for my liking. Ordered a chickpea salad that was good, not great. Biggest plus going for this place: delicious cocktails!

On the east end of the Morrison bridge in SE Portland, there is a little oasis of wonderful food and drink. We found Oso market and bar when the wait for Kachka (next door) was more than our hunger could handle. Oso welcomes you with a sign out front featuring a bear holding a wine bottle. We felt welcomed by that! The menu features small plates and creative beverages. Some personal favs are the chorizo stuffed dates, the lamb meatballs, the bison tartare. Careful attention is also given to veggies... The roast carrots, the squash gnocchi, the salads are all treats. If you are an oyster lover, they have great specials! We have found the service to be friendly and accommodating. Happy to share this gem.

I am in LOVE with Oso Market. It feels like I'm at a cute little neighborhood place in Paris! They have a great wine selection - I especially like their attention to rosés! It is one of those places you can go with a group of friends, or one or two people and share interesting and seasonal plates in a warm and inviting environment and absolutely lose track of time because its so enjoyable. The only downside is they don't have a good place to sit outside! This summer I sat in their bistro seating along Grand Ave, and it was just too busy and loud to be comfortable.

As a person living in Portland I blessed with many, many places to eat and drink. So many that o couldn't possibly try all of them unless I ate every meal out. I went to Oso to try something new and grab a glass of wine and try a snack.... Great choice and have been back many times. Very knowledgeable staff. They have many bottles of wine to purchase and can tell you exactly what to get for your tastes and budget. Menu is a nice size, enough choices to find something for everyone but not too many to be annoying. And oh my their fresh baked cookies are AMAZING ! Atmosphere is fun but not party. Classy but not fancy. Nice change for that area of town where there are done great party bars, dive bars, and karaoke.

Four of us last Saturday night. Lots of small plates an emphasis on sardines if you can believe it by the chef. Really liked the sardine pate and smoked trout. Bacon wrapped dates are artery cloggers but divine. The bartender acted as server and that worked out ok. I cannot say any one dish stood out but we loved it anyway. Portland has so many food choices, since I am not a Portland resident will be some time before I go back but that is because will still be on food expedition.

We love Oso Market! Such an interesting and fun menu. Four of us shared several (like 8) dishes for dinner and a nice wine. I felt it was a bit expensive, but creative, delicious food and fun to try so many small plates. The service was good, finding parking can be difficult in this area, but we found a spot and didn't have to walk far. I recommend you give it a try.

Wait-one place that is a market, sells great wines and champagnes, serves killer cocktails and great food? Yessir! Oso is the place. Laid back, great music, great staff and amaziing food! We actually ate at Oso three times on our recent trip to Portland. Russel was a rock star in service, bartending and as our host. Chef Joshua and the team rolled out plate after plate of delicious food, from oysters to Charcuterie to unbelievable chicke liver pate'. Everything was spot on! Don;t miss it!

We stopped in for a late lunch and a little day drinking - we were happy with our fish antipasto (smoked fish pate, smoked trout, oysters) and the cheese antipasto (portions were reasonable for 2 people to nibble on).

Really great place to pick up some delicious natural wines, sit down and have a delicious meal and take some awesome Portland-made goodies home.

Great place to buy a bottle of wine, local goods and awesome imports and sit down for a great glass of wine and bites.
Nice little gem!
My husband and I went to Oso in SE Portland recently for lunch, our first time there and we loved it. It is a bit different the other restaurants, and has very good food. Here are the pluses: *Delightful ambience, dark woods, high exposed wood beamed ceiling with large picture window that lets in lots of light, making it warm and comfortable but still upbeat and bathed in natural sunlight. * Awesome pickles. They make their own and the quality and unique variety are great. *Very, very good food, nice fresh flavors presented well and with unusual twists that are flavorful. * Fantastic take on drinks with vinegar chasers. I loved this!!!! They pair various spirits, served neat, with one on the vinegars from their homemade pickle selection; some are sweet (strawberry), some savory, some just tart and tangy. Great!! *Very good service, very friendly staff. * Not just a bar/restaurant but also a small market of delectable gourmet treats, such as fine olive oils, honeys, and Jacobsen salts and sweets to name a few. A great place to go on a rainy day or evening and relax and enjoy all the treats, great tastes and comfortable atmosphere. A great place to go with friends on any day. Go!.
