We came here for a quick bite. The food here is terrible. Our appetizers come out with our main courses. Our food was cold by the time it was served. If you want sauce you will wait quite a while. Management is so busy helping serve that they don't have time to address customer concerns. One family even left without paying.

Menu is dominated by stakes, other meals are average at best. Located in the heart of Dyker Heights, surrounded by nice Italian restaurants, so it's a difficult to compete. Do not deliver, but you can order a take-out

This Outbacks is my favorite go to spot. Service is always good and the steaks even better love the prime rib ! Must visit best to go before 8pm as there might be a little wait on weekends.

My 2 kids love outback! But this place is hit or miss with service. The last 2 out of the 3 times we went the servers were new and very slow. The server last time messed up our kids orders and they had to wait even longer for their food. The mgr did comp the food which eased the frustration a bit. The food is always great tho.

We have been eating at this Outback Steakhouse for about 10 years. It has changed in all kinds of ways and not for the better. It used to be our favorite, but after today, we won't be back for awhile. I've ordered the onion soup every single time I've been here. Today the onion soup was absolutely dreadful, the worst in all these years. It didn't even taste like onion soup, and smelled like it was in a smokehouse or something. Years ago the onion soup was delicious and amazing. It used to be a robust flavorful thick oniony broth filled with Carmelized onions and a crisp big crouton filled to overflowing. All that was in a crock COVERED AND DRIPPING with delicious aromatic soft melted Gruyere cheese. Those days are long over. Not only did they get rid of the Gruyere cheese, they replaced it with cheap bad tasteless PROVOLONE! Who puts provolone on onion soup? Aside from that, the soup comes out now partially filled, never to the top anymore, with a tiny bit of provolone melted over the chewy crouton floating in the center. They are so cheap and stingy with the tasteless provolone, that it doesn't even cover the top of the soup! That's how it comes if you don't ask and hope for extra cheese. I always ask for Swiss, but today, they gave me tasteless provolone anyway, and a smokehouse awful weird flavored soup that's got onions but doesn't taste like onions. It's really sad how far the quality of their onion soup has fallen to a new low today, sadly. Being that the onion soup had hit a new low in quality, I asked for New England Clam Chowder which is usually quite good, but all they had was the onion. They were out of ALL other soup I was told. I find that ridiculous and should have cancelled the endless soup and salad. Never have they run out of all other soup before. The wedge salad was quite good, as well as the house salad. Blue cheese dressing is always great here. Crumbles are terrific. The balsamic glaze with the wedge is excellent. I had a Victoria 10 oz filet. That was delicious and cooked as I ask for it. I always get no seasoning. I have had many over the years and they're usually excellent value. They did however raise the price to over $30 for it now. It used to be 9 oz for $25 or so. Still a good deal compared to others. I get the sweet potato as a side, which is delicious, but today it was a tiny sweet potato. It's usually twice as big as this. I also got the Mac and cheese which is pretty decent, not the best, but certainly tasty. We had the no rules pasta which is ok, sometimes much better than other times. This restaurant was much different years ago when Alicia ran it. Staff was the same for many years. Suddenly she was gone, and the restaurant started hiring a lot of minority help from outside the area, when previously the help reflected the neighborhood with a lot of local help. Not so now. The change was rapid once Alicia left, and since then, the quality of the operation has really declined from back in the day. Now, they're just not good at what they do. Inefficiency is nothing new. For the past few years, they make you wait anyway, even when the restaurant is full of empty tables because "the servers haven't arrived yet," which is always the outrageous excuse why you have to stand like a dummy waiting for a table now when there's plenty of places to sit. This is going on for the past few years. How about figuring out how to get more servers there EARLIER!? The help has turned over continuously, not like in the past where the help stayed, indicating a poor management that no one sticks with working for for too long. The ladies room is always filthy which again, reflects poor management. A toilet is usually out of order, or some slob leaves a mess and it'll stay that way for hours causing a line in the ladies room because no one will use the stall and the staff never checks or cleans the bathroom. Then people are standing outside the booth looking at you through a crack in the stall door unless they're polite. Good luck! I once told one of the staff who came in to have the bathroom serviced, and she ignored me. She did nothing to remedy the filthy situation, and thought it was funny that I said someone should maintain the ladies room. Paper towels overflowing as well from cans and on top of the sink area. For some time there was no mirror above the sink. Some food is still a good deal. Reasonably priced steakhouse. Excellent quality meat for the price. On a whole, there used to be a completely different experience here. I wish this Outback location would be what it used to be. But I guess you can't go back again.

I recently went to Outback and noticed that some of the dishes that I wanted to order were taken off the menu. I also noticed that the newest promotion include blooming onions over many of their entrees. I would never order these very fried onions as they are extremely unhealthy and can clog your arteries. Instead I ordered the Salmon which is a much healthy choice with mixed vegetables. I am disappointed that it is over a year since they had the steak and crab legs promotion. No one I asked knew when or if it was coming back. The steak and lobster promotion was very good so please bring back the crablegs

We visited Outback Steakhouse because of a newspaper advertisement showing for a limited time they were they had a special of crab legs and steak for a price of $15.99.minus a fifteen percent coupon on the bottom of the page. They refused to honor that offer saying that their price was $17.49. There was absolutely no mention in the advertisement that said at participating restaurants only. I think that they should have accepted that offer and charge us $15.99. We stayed anyways and ordered the special The service was very good and so was the atmosphere. The crab kegs was delicious but the steak was very peperie

When there a couple times, everytime I go I met these nice waitress that are very patience with our orders. The food were very good, especially when they are freshly made and our waitress serves them immediately or they will ask if we would like the foods to be serve. It was definitely the best chain restaurant out there.

Very good location, very good service, very good food... rib eye cooked medium-well just as I ordered. Total for steak, choice of potato, side order, and strawberry lemonade was $28 before tip.

While waiting and sitting down, we nearly waited 15 minutes before a waiter even came to us. This is disgusting, and the managers at this place should definitely correct this problem. The waiter passed us three times before even asking us what we wanted. I should not have to wait 15 minutes before getting a water. Some management have been told about this issue, and other issues as well, but they don't take what the customer says to heart. Outback.....up your game.

Had a great time at this outback. Service was quick and efficient and food was tasty and hot. Overall great vibe and atmosphere

This is the most famous steakhouse chain in the world. The 86th Street branch is a pleasant option for lunch. Food is the familiar heavy, hearty fare. The Toowoomba topping, with shrimps in Creole-spiced sauce, is a nice add-on. Service is fine and price quite modest when compared with the fancy steakhouses in the city. Do come early for dinner to avoid a long line.

First of all let's start with the appertizers. The Blooming Onion was only. The Shrimp on the Barbie tasted like they were loaded with salt. My porterhouse was kind of tough for a medium cooked. Saltly & kind of chewy. My girlfriend liked the Ribs. My mother had the Rib Eye which she liked. Overall it was just average there. Very noisy & the service was horrible. Leaving dirty plates on my table after we are done is a no no. I might try this place again.

In the end, we all enjoyed dinner at Outback. It took a bit of effort to get there, but staff, management and one of the owners made sure we were well taken care of. My sirloin was quite pleasant, large and very satisfying. My son's prime rib originally came out too well done, but that was replaced by one cooked exactly as expected - and it was some of the best prime rib that we've had. Overall, we all ate well! Our biggest complaint had nothing to do with Outback itself; rather that Gateway Plaza only allocates 2 or 3 handicapped parking places among the many parking spots, while a nearby 'baby' store has several times as many such spots. The owner told us that he's tried to persuade Gateway; hopefully this will eventually change. Beyond that, we will be happy to come back to dine here in the future!

We were a party of 3 and were told a 10 min wait. Meanwhile there were plenty of tables open and tons of people waiting. There excuse was not enough staff, bad management. Food was decent. This place has gone downhill.

This place leaves something to be desired. You call ahead for nothing. ..you still wait only to see people who came in after you....seated. Thank God the manager came over and took care of the situation. C'mon people....get with it.

FINALLY, this place at least just recently, shows signs of getting back to a normal, quality dining establishment. We were happy to enjoy a delicious meal, with good service that reflects the people of the area, as well with some new faces. Finally help and servers that fit the place far better than what the place was becoming a couple of months ago. It was nice to be greeted by some locally employed folks in this place, and it also seemed that things were run far better than last times, as we were seated pretty much immediately. This was also for a nice change, as before they'd tell you they didn't have a server for all their empty tables, and force you to wait, with the place half empty. A frustrating practice that made no sense. We sat in a booth, and it was very comfortable. We were greeted immediately by our server, Frankie, who did a great job waiting on us! He is young, pleasant and efficient. He refilled our drinks without being asked most of the time. He served us promptly, and checked on the table frequently. He was the best server we've had in a long time, and he seemed like a nice young man from the area for a change, not imported from some other neighborhood, which is what we want to see. Hire local kids who need jobs, not give them all to people who have to be brought in from far away, elsewhere, to fulfill some sort of equal opportunity demands. That had always been the way things were happening with the staff, these past few years. It becomes NOT EQUAL opportunity to local people who need jobs that are actually from this neighborhood, and that is wrong. It's OK to have some non local talent, but clearly things were tilted in the wrong direction. Now there is a balance of everyone here, not tipping the entire place into one demographic only. Glad this place is coming out of a dark period of bad food and bad service, and has seemingly begun to turn around. Giving this place a break, and coming back again, was like a happy discovery of the things we enjoyed here. Yes, definitely and most of all, the FOOD. Speaking of which, it was absolutely delicious! We both got endless soup and salad, which is an amazing deal and the food is high quality. I was happy that the Clam Chowder was finally not overly spicy and peppery this time. I've always said the New England Clam Chowder would be perfect, if they didn't make it spicy. It usually disturbs my stomach because of the spice but not this time. It was creamy, thick, chock full of real soft clams, potatoes, and deliciousness! Happy days are here, as now they have SWISS cheese again for the onion soup, which was excellent! It could have used some more onions, but at least, unlike last time, nobody told me, "We don't have Swiss anymore, only provolone or American!" Really bad and totally ridiculous before, as their provolone is tasteless. Maybe more people started complaining. If they REALLY want to make my day, they should bring back the scrumptious GRUYERE cheese that they USED to use, regularly. What consulting taste challenged simpleton, changed that? I'm thankful the Swiss is back in the meantime! The potato soup is also delicious, creamy, with delicious toppings, so you can't lose getting the endless soup and salad. Speaking of salad, it was AMAZING. We both ate two wedges, they were SO GOOD. Beautifully presented and far better in appearance and taste, than most ANYWHERE I've had it for several times the price. Along with the Swiss cheese, their amazingly delicious Blue Cheese dressing is back too. Our last experience was a waitress claiming Ranch dressing was Blue Cheese, and it was their new recipe. Not this time, Blue Cheese dressing was as delicious as I remember it! We got plenty of nice crumbles too, and the balsamic drizzle on the salad was artfully done on the plate one out of two times, but both times, it was super fresh and crispy. Lot's of juicy grape tomatoes, bacon bits, raw onion, one of the best wedge salads, anywhere. I got Coconut Shrimp for my main course, I wasn't in a filet mood at that moment. These were fantastic, and I haven't had them probably, in years. They had an amazing light, crispy coconut batter. No heaviness, no greasiness. Perfection, and again, better than anywhere for a lot more money. We also got a great lean sirloin, and really fabulous caramelized onions, gooey, sweet, soft and delicious. The sweet potatoes weren't as good as usual. I think it's because they came out with the toppings on the side, instead of on the potato. They seemed dry. They have amazing honey butter here, which you should not miss. Mashed potatoes are good too. You get TWO sides with your steak, which is great. Then we got a surprise Easter scratch off, and took $6 off the meal! Aside from the food, the restaurant in general is comfortable, but they can still use work on their bathrooms despite the renovations. No matter how many times I have been there, they never have seat protectors in the dispenser, and the first stall did not even lock at all. Usually the garbage is overflowing, but we were there early, so it was OK in that respect. They've done a nice remodel of it which affords more privacy. Before you'd always get someone standing, waiting and watching you through an unfortunate gap in the door, and stall wall, while waiting for one of 3 booths, a not so charming situation, that is now greatly improved! We were pleasantly surprised this time by how they made a 180 degree turnaround since last time. So, I am happy to say that we will definitely add this Outback Steakhouse, back to our dining repertoire, as NOW, it is well worth our time and appetites again!

Nice, australian inspired restaurant. We ordered steaks that were really tender and tasty. The service was good all the way from seating, ordering, serving to payment. I small minus for dirty restroom.

What can you expect it's Outback.Same food in any part of the USA.Nothing great nothing bad.I always went there with my daughter and her friends from college.

First time here. Food really good. Drinks really good. Sarah Lee was a dynamite waitress. We are coming back!

My only problem is: 1) Bathroom is dirty. 2) Ordered medium rare steak but got a medium well. (Like, come on!) 3) Sweet potato was WAY too sweet 4) Barely any asparagus for me, a 13 year old boy who eats A LOT. Everything else was great, from instant seating to the a free loaf of warm dark bread with cream cheese on the side.

I read all bad reviews here and really don't know if they are talking about the same outback steak house that I always go to. I been here so many times that I can't really count, and I was satisfied. The only downside is the wait for food and on weekends the wait to be seated. Food is good, and I like everything well done so it really is well done, and being served hot food. Staff is professional, and prices are good comparing to other steak houses I been to. All I can say just come and see it yourself and you will be happy!

Walked in today waiting to be seated. Was denied seating because I refused to reveal my current health status. Will be letting everyone know this place violates HIPPA laws.

Not usually a fan of chain restaurants, we were given a gift card to Outback, and it proved to be very, very good. To start, the restaurant was beautifully decorated in fall motif. The service was excellent, aside from the fact that it took multiple requests to get water. The starter of coconut shrimp was excellent. We also had ribs and salmon a with side of grilled shrimp. I preferred the coconut shrimp to the grilled so I was glad I hadn’t ordered that as an entree. The portions were very generous. We also ordered peach sangria which was excellent. There is a parking lot in front.

We took the blooming petals and the "cocktails" 4 pieces to share. The sirloin was good and then we shared the "chocolate thunder fron down under" : good as always

Had dinner with my husband and the service was awful. The waitress and hostess were not very friendly and the waitress did not tell us what came with the meal. We had to ask for water and she only brought one. She also never asked us if we wanted another beer or more water. The food was forgetable. Would not come back.

We went on a weeknight to celebrate my birthday. I couldn’t believe how busy they were on a snowy Wednesday evening. Our server was the best! She was friendly, welcoming and very attentive. Our food was good as usual.

Although, it was more a windstorm than a hurricane in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, the food and service at Outback was outstanding despite restrictions forced upon restaurateurs due to Coronavirus. Outback wisely added outdoor service to its take out dining. Tables were neatly arranged with an eye to social distancing and wait staff were consistently cleaning tables, chairs and glass doors as patrons left. As the storm subsided, we were warmly greeted by the Manager Kevin and our server Wayne. The hearty Onion Soup quickly warmed our insides and the entrees we selected - Twin Lobster Tails and Shrimp with Pasta Alfredo - were no less satisfying. Cooked to perfection and served with courtesy and swiftness, the menu at Outback is always palette pleasing and reasonably priced. Their warm honey flavored bread dripping with butter is always an added treat for diners. My wife's birthday dinner was topped by Outback's delicious cheesecake with ceremonial candle. We thank the hardworking staff of Outback; with special thanks to Kevin and Wayne for making this special occasion even more special under difficult circumstances of weather and pandemic restrictions. Well Done.

Unfortunately, the last time we walked in here this past Saturday, we left immediately. This restaurant has a real problem bringing in servers before 3PM, yet they're open for lunch starting at noon. You walk in, and there's people waiting for tables, and the waiting area is FULL with nowhere to sit down, yet the place is 3/4 empty. When you ask the hostess why you can't get a table, they tell you they "we don't have a server for it." It's the most idiotic, stupid management I ever seen in my life. This is nothing new, and has been going on for quite awhile. I wonder why, when they know very well, that they get a big lunch crowd, they have no servers to work the tables? I think this place is run in a very disgraceful manner. It's rude, keeping people waiting when the place is literally FULL of empty tables! This place infuriates me with their stupid policy of opening for lunch, but not staffing the restaurant appropriately for the ensuing crowd that comes to eat there. I called at 1:45 call ahead seating for 2pm for a party of 2, and was told I would not be seated until 3! How outrageous is that? So we say forget the call ahead, but walk in and ask, and we got there at 2 anyway. We give our name, and when we ask, the hostess tells us there's at least a half hour wait. "For what?"...I ask, as the place is more empty than full, and we were told there aren't enough servers. Seriously? HELLO, BRING IN SERVERS EARLIER IF A CROWD ALWAYS SHOWS UP FOR LUNCH??? They won't do it, they'd rather keep 25 hungry people sitting around with buzzers, waiting for theirs to go off. It's truly the height of poor management. It never used to be this way years ago. When you DO get to eat here, the food has been excellent as of late. Excellent blue cheese wedge, Victoria Filet, sweet potato, onion soup, man n cheese and clam chowder. Wayne was excellent last time we had him. Unfortunately when we got there at 2, he wasn't going to be there until 5! We asked for Issac, and he wasn't coming until 3. So, we had to leave and go somewhere else this past weekend. This restaurant has great food, when you can get it. You have to hope they have servers, because they won't seat you unless they do, and yet they don't ever tell the servers to come in earlier to handle the crowd. They need a new manager, and new hostess staff. Maybe hire some people who actually live in the area and reflect the people of the neighborhood, not some quota someone decided they needed to fill for political correctness. Hire competent people, PERIOD. I enjoy the food here, but the policies and seating problems are a real burden. If you arrive early to beat the crowd, they make you wait as if you got their at prime time. Rude and callous management needs to be called out for this. Hope they straighten up and serve right!

Met up with some co worker's and had a good lunch , and a beer , LOL... The food was good & the atmosphere has a modern feel. Great bar , great drinks , I've been here several times before , but this was the first time I made it for lunch. Friendly staff , but we felt rushed . We didn't finish our appetizers and they brought out the main. "NOT COOL" :( . Over all , I usually have a pleasant experience , but the food is never consistent . Don't get me wrong , The food is good , but at times it was better than other's , and for the $$$COST$$$ , it should be more consistent . All though the food is good. The appetizers are very good !!

@Outback gateway plaza, needs work, who knows who does the training of their staff, but we were brought the bill before our dessert, smh, I even had to ask, did you forget the dessert? My entree' came with a salad, which was "mia."

Good quality food Waiters friendly and polite Tables clean Drinks are good and beer is cold Good selection of options..

The quality of the steaks are excellent. The steaks are cooked as requested. Ours normally is medium rare. and it comes medium rare. the portions are fine. the waiting time is doable. The waitresses attention are just fine. We stopped paying prime prices for Manhattan steak restaurants. Most of them offered inferior steaks quality and dressed it up with sauces. We have never been disappointed at this particular Outback.

I've been coming to this Outbacks for years. I haven't been there for a few months and I guess they changed management but the food was not pleasing at all. Went on a Friday around 6pm. I really have no complaints about my server she brought everything ok quickly. But the bartender sucked i ordered a beer and they brought me one fresh out the hot box with a cold cup like really ?? Who wants a hot beer ? The apps were ok, ordered my prime rib medium and it was like eating chicken so over cooked. This place needs some improvement ! Change the cooks and the bartender ! And possibly new management.

Went to this outback as I just move to the area Nice to see they have some parking even though small Entered restaurant and had a small wait then sat My server Taleeya was amazing I will be return soon and ask for her to take care of us

Food and drinks are great! Including dessert! This is my first time here. Wilm definitely be returning. Server is Sara Lee and also is spectacular!

We came in for dinner and even though they were short staffed our was really attentive to us and came over several times to ask us how everything was and if we needed anything. The food was really good. I will definitely come back here.

We had a great experience at Outback. Our waitress Amna was amazing. We didn’t like the lavender blue drink because it tasted like lavender soap and she gave us new drinks no charge. She actually cared and asked us. She was very professional and also gave us recommendations. The food was amazing. I got the filet mignon lobster tail and double mash. My husband got the strip with fries and rice. The rice was sooooo good also. Surprisingly good !! Love this place. Great service and great prices.

Get there early because the Parking lot is not that big. Got there, greeted with a smile and seat3d immediately. Ordered Prime Rib, salad and Baked sweet potato. The Prime Rib was cooked perfectly and the portion was tender with minimal waste. The portions were large and required a “doggie bag “. Enjoyed my meal and would recommend this restaurant for a delicious, moderately priced experience.

Met my friends here before the holidays and liked it so much, we're doing it again tonight! The drinks are a good portion size and the meals are cooked to your specifications and very filling. The filet mignon and lobster tail are divine! It's a family-oriented restaurant with a kid's menu and lots of families at the tables. Bar is a good size for meeting up with your friends then sitting down for a meal once everyone has arrived. I've never had room enough for dessert so I can't comment on it, but what I did see being delivered to other tables looked delicious.

Nice people and pretty good food. I sit at the bar because getting a table is a major accomplishment most nights after 5. I recommend!

I went on a Wednesday evening and it was perfect. Plenty of parking, no wait time, I got to pick where I sat. The service was ok and the food was good. On Wednesdays they have specials, perfect day to go.

Crystal (Krystal?) was AMAZING. Aside from making awesome cocktails, we watched her run around the floor helping everyone. Had a great vibe and gave us thoughtful recommendations. We will go back because of her!

We arrived after diner rush about 90 minutes before "kitchen close" (more on that later). Walked up to hostess, 2 in party. Some paper shuffling, talking to second hostess. I see plenty of empty tables. Argument on where to seat us. Then, "Can I have your name it will be 5 minutes". Okay, hungry don't want to go somewhere else. While we wait I notice 3 different tables cleaned. Still waiting, group of four enter and asked to wait. At 10 minutes we are called. This is a preview of the service. Server comes over in about 10 minutes, drink orders and I order an wings appetizer (did I mention I was hungry). All we are getting are Coke Zero's as drinks. A couple minutes later the hostess stops by " your waitress is XXX an she will be by in a minute". More foreshadow... 15 minutes later server "let me check on your appetizer" of course we inquire about our drinks, no apology. Drinks arrive with appy, no straws but this was a drop and run delivery. We didn't even get to order our dinner 20 minutes into sitting. Wings were great but we ordered mild sauce on the side and we got the hot sauce but at least it was on the side. Okay a minute or two later grab here again for straws and place order. Simple order Sirloin, one 9oz one 12oz, both medium Fries and veg for me, fries and salad for her. Even though this cut not listed under the recommended wood fired we asked for them because there is less of their seasoning. Salad comes before main course, which is fine. Large salad for a side and wife said it was fresh and delicious. Main course delivered by another server, the meats are cooked properly and fries are fine. During my entire meal while I'm eating our server constantly reaches across me to clear plates. I'm cutting my steak and she reaches for the empty bread plate "let me get that for you". Later empty bread cutting board and back again for the empty soda glass. I found this very annoying. About 2/3rds into our main course we are told "kitchen is closing do you want desert"? No thanks, check please. While the food was good, the service was not up to par.

In the beginning of this pandemic, Circa April 2020? Maybe May? This Outback delivered ALL the way to Bay Ridge, (which is an unfathomable two neighborhoods away). I know this, because my fiancée and I ordered from them once a week, in order to try and help be a part of keeping our neighborhood businesses afloat during that tumultuous time. Our weekly orders slacked off around the holidays. I've been dieting since January, so we hadn't picked it up again until this week. I just called Outback to place my order. Lo and behold, they're no longer delivering two whole neighborhoods away. It's quite possible that since our Governor relaxed the reins on indoor dining last month, Outback is no longer in such dire straight that they need to deliver to our little area, in order to keep their lights on. Well, I'll say this - we helped THEM keep their lights on last year. We smiled and understood when our dinner arrived cold and late, because the insanity we were going through. We ridiculously over-tipped your employees, because everybody who could help, should've. No thanks at all for keeping customers like us in mind, as the light at the end of the tunnel grows lighter.

Came for dinner on a Friday night mostly because it was walking distance from the house. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table. Then waited for 20 minutes to get a table. The waiter was nice enough but he was overworked. Not enough servers on a weekend night. We ordered the flat iron steak which was 7 oz of tough meat. We ordered it medium rare and it was well done. Also ordered the wedge salad which was not good. It was drenched is a pseudo blue cheese dressing and the bacon was an afterthought. The best part of the meal was the baked potato. The baked sweet potato was also good. the meal was not memorable. It took another 20 minutes to get the check. We won't be back.

Completely embarrassing. I was ignored the entire visit while a staff gathered near me discussing their nightly plans. I was dining alone at the bar. I asked for a Manhattan cocktail and the bartender slipped away to look it up her phone. She shook a bunch of bourbon into a glass, making the most classic of cocktails a laughing joke. I didn’t finish. 79 dollars later, there’s a reason chains don’t make here, in Brooklyn. I’m embarrassed I even gave it a shot. Don’t even get me on the quality of food...

I normally like Outback steak is very good steak and potatoes they consolidated sizzling steak..... I think they need a new cook or chef the food is not very good, eat at your own risk

My friend from Moscow visited us a couple weeks ago. He asked to take him to the nice place for the goodbye dinner. We decided to go to the outback. He loved the place. Service was great. Steak was excellent. Bartender - a very proffy. Defiantly will go again.

The restaurant is good, and the food is tasty, but if you're looking for prime rib, forget it if you plan on coming later than 7 or 8:00. They always run out of prime rib, especially on the rare side. I have told the managers about this for over a year, no one seems to listen...especially the guy responsible for ordering and cooking the food. Come on people....step up your game.

Had dinner here last night with a friend and it was delicious, as always. She had the steak and I had the lobster. We also had the bloomin' onion and coconut shrimp for appetizers. The green beans were steamed to perfection with the perfect snap to them. .Also, I always get the baked sweet potato...never disappoints. I would be remiss if I didn't mention our waitress extraordinaire, Sara Lee. She was super attentive and took great care of us. If you visit this Outback be sure to ask if she could be your waitress.

Atmosphere average, food above average, service average ,had to ask for water, and extra sauce, never came..... Bloomin onion was a short.

The manager Kevin and my waiter Irvin were amazing, I must’ve had the best service ever. Today was my daughters graduation and I called ahead and Kevin reassured me that we will be seated promptly. As soon as my family and I arrived we were seated immediately. The food and beverages came out promptly, food was delicious. Kevin made sure that my daughter had everything she needed, he even provided her with 3 packs of crayons. She was so happy. My family was so happy. I would recommend Outback Steakhouse to anyone.

It's sad just how terrible the service has become at this Outback location. This place can't hold onto anyone, anymore. For years they had the same servers under Alicia, but when she left, it all went downhill. A revolving door of proprietors, and staffers. All but one server we've known for any length of time is gone. I think their main goal here is to import minority servers, hostesses, managers and other staff members, from poor urban neighborhoods miles away for the sake of fulfilling some politically correct equal opportunity agenda, instead of hiring local help that reflects the Bensonhurst neighborhood of Brooklyn that the local residents live in. This place has taken this to a heartless extreme which is obvious, and frankly, a complete 180 from how it used to be. From the quality of the staff and management, to the quality of the food. They do this at the expense of the customer. They're inneficient, incompetent, and in many cases, downright rude. If they were competent it wouldn't matter, but they're not. One former server who is now a manager, threw straws at us and said "Here you go, man." as he tossed them on the table in our direction. Really?? I can see why he is management material, can't you? This time it was a new low. We patiently waited 20 minutes just to get our drinks, after waiting 15 minutes for a rude little waitress that doesn't live nearby for sure, came over, took our order grudgingly, then a few moments later, told us she was going to have another waitress take care of us. It was like 2 more people in her section, were overwhelming her. She just didn't have an interest in our table. Meanwhile the place was empty. She however, was more than happy to wait on people who were more her demographic. So our new waitress was beyond awkward. Everything we asked her for, her answer was "100 percent!" For example, "can I get a refill?" Reply: "100 percent!" Then she'd march awkwardly off, and not return with the refill. We traded a short surly waitress, for a tall awkward waitress. I ordered salad with bleu cheese dressing, and the dressing bought out was without question, ranch. I know the difference. However, Ms.100% insisted it is "their new recipe" which is insane. It's not even close and it was clearly Ranch dressing. I always order it, and Outback has always had great Bleu Cheese, but now, NOT! So, I said to Ms. 100%, "So, the NEW bleu cheese dressing recipe is to serve ranch and call it "bleu cheese?"... and guess what my answer was? You guessed it; "100 PERCENT!" as she lumbered away, all 6 doofy feet of her. It took forever to get salads and soups, we ordered the endless soup and salad. The WAIT for any food was endless. They should offer it as "Endless waiting for Soup and Salad." In fact, you need to order a refill when you finally get your first one, or you may get tired of waiting for the next round. We asked to speak to a manager after we ordered quesadillas and we're going to be charged $5 extra to substitute chicken, for shrimp. We've ordered it for years. It took over half an hour for the guy to come over, of course yet another non local hire. He claimed he was in the back cooking. Hmmmmm, this place is beyond short handed when the manager is cooking as well! He expressed basically we shouldn't order it this way, and so we asked what about the "no rules" credo of Outback? He said if they if don't do this anymore, then "he won't have to be having this conversation with us!" What a NERVE! Nice way to treat the customer. For about 10 years we ordered it this way, and most of the time there was NO extra charge. Another disappointment. We proceeded with the soup and salad that finally came after 45 minutes of waiting! I got the onion soup. It had gotten better for a bit, and now it's gone back downhill. I really will always miss the crock covered in gruyere from 5-10 years ago, luscious soft cooked onions, and a crouton. It was a fabulous onion soup. Real quality, but not anymore! They replaced their old quality cheese with dreadful poor quality stiff and tasteless so called PROVOLONE! Big MISS! I don't know anywhere that uses provolone on onion soup, and it would not be bad if it actually had any discernible provolone flavor, but it tastes like NOTHING. It's utterly dreadful cheap cheese which they're super stingy with. My remedy for the past few years was to order it with extra Swiss. So of course, I was told by ol' 100% that they no longer have Swiss cheese. ANOTHER NO? That's it my friends, no genuine blue cheese dressing, no shrimp instead of chicken in the Alice springs quesadilla, AND no more Swiss cheese to make the soup palatable and decent, so we are giving up. We never did order a main course, the proprietor came over, and took care of the bill since the meal was a total disaster. We will not be coming back any time soon. This place is sad. I miss the great quality food I used to enjoy, and competent servers instead of what they employ now. Outback should do something about this location. We came to use a $25 gift card and free appetizer we got from bad service last time. We will have to travel further to another location next time we decide to dine at the Outback.

We had a $50 give certificate for Out Back Steak House. On this stormy day we decided to visit them just to kill the evening in addition to that the restaurant was 4 houses down from my old work place, I figured let’s come back to eat like the old time. Once at the parking lot I got happy to see it was packed with cars, that is a sign of a good restaurant. Oh boy was I fooled!!!!. Yes, the restaurant was packed but with customers sitting in the waiting area and no workers... We were told to wait at least 25 minutes for a table, when I looked at the whole restaurant all the tables were empty??? We then went to the bar again the bar was empty??? We ordered drinks, the bartender looked like he belongs to another planet and there is an urine smell everywhere around the bar. Finally the hostess took us to the table, on the way to get to my table I was almost knocked down by the hostess only with her legs when she rushed to walk ahead of her customer... Then we were starving so we saw the beautiful pic of the melting cheese and shrimp dip, we were excited and ordered right the way. The reality is they brought to us a 2 inch round pot with 3 shrimp in it and a mountain of greasy nachos. The best part is my surf and turf, Oh God!!! I haven't seen any shrinking lobster tail like this in my whole life!!! Not talking about the bread, Out Back used to be famous for their black hot and fresh rye, this time around the bread was mushy and very hard to cut... I understand I’m dining at Out Back but come on for a mere $31 dish I should have gone to Smith and Wollensky or the Palms etc...to spend another $30 and not to ruin my dinner. The one silver lining is our server Diana who made our evening bearable and she seems like the only one who works. Do your self a favor save your time, energy, momentum and your hard working money skip going to Out Back Steak House in Brooklyn on 86th Street...

Outback is a standard with my family. No matter what city we are in, eventually we end up at an Outback. This particular Outback is close to home and has been visited many times. I've had good experiences and bad. It's the luck of the draw. Was there 3 nights ago. Service was good, the Victoria Filets were very good, the sirloin was tough, the kids cheeseburger was burnt, the bushman mushrooms were a disappointment(especially since they are my kids favorites) and the Outback burger was good. it makes me wonder it the cooks actually know what they are doing. I've there twice this month and once last month. Last month was a disaster. So bad that they comp'ed our meal and gave us free appetizer coupons for another visit. It is getting better but it still needs work. I've had much better experiences in other states.

We waited half an hour before the waitress came to take our order. We finally got our food after another 45 minutes. We order shakes. By the time we got it it was all melted. The manager can to apologize for the poor service, but never came back to correct the problem.

The last couple of times we went to this outback the service was very slow. It takes a long time to place a drink order, a long time to get apps and food nd even longer to get check. Also when we were there we were disappointed because the mashed potatoes werent ready yet... Its most popular side dish! We go back because the food is good but service is lousy!

This review is mainly about the food. The place is actually nice and clean, and the wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The service was pretty slow, but that may be because it was a Friday afternoon so they didn't have enough people working. I had the Victoria's Filet which was supposed to be "the most tender and juicy cut", and I felt like I was chewing cardboard. It was tasteless. We also ordered the blooming onion which was extremely greasy. Milkshake was tiny. I think I finished it in one sip. Overall I consumed about 2,500 calories but it was one of the least satisfying meals I've ever had in my life.

Food was excellent as always at an Outback. Steaks to the point, juicy and tasty. Normally I'd give four points. But Joe, our server, makes me add the fifth point. A very very nice guy, always around to fulfill our needs, he made us feel more than welcome, top! Thanks Joe, we had a great time with you!

Went out for dinner with my boyfriend. The food was great and served in a timely manner and our waitress Saralee was amazing. She was sweet and was amazing.

The cold food, long wait, and adequate service have been what I have come to know when I go to an Outback restaurant. We keep trying again and again because the chain offers a gluten free menu. My husband has Celiac and cannot eat wheat, rye, or barley. The waiters work hard to try to get the order right but at times there are errors and the meal has to be prepared again (with sauce for example). This Brooklyn restaurant is very busy and it seems like the wait staff tries to keep up. The long wait for my meal and the cold vegetables (which is typical for Outback) make this a place I am not in a hurry to go back to. The wait for food also caused a problem for the little one in our family who was waiting to be fed. The restaurant was very noisy and had an atmosphere of being chaotic.

Wow...I can't believe that I just got home from this horrible place...thank God. This location is close to my house, but the way that it's gone downhill recently, I wish that it was very, very far away. Wherever, though, my family & I are never going there again! Surprisingly enough, the place was packed (maybe because it's a Friday night). We called ahead, so the initial wait wasn't so bad. But then, after getting seated, the wait for the food took forever. On top of that, they made mistakes with my wife's & son's order. My wife had ordered a salad, which never came. When she brought it up at the end, the manager offered her a "salad to go"...yeah, she'll it in the car as she's driving us far away from this place. My steak was good, but very small. The baked potato was bigger than this steak. I also enjoyed the alcoholic beverage that I had. This spot does have its own parking lot, but it's not that big, so you may need to find a spot in the street. I've been to this location several times and have seen it get worse first-hand. The prices went up while the portions got smaller. I may be a bit generous giving it the two stars, but I've given the good & the bad here. I especially feel bad for the servers that will get much smaller tips due to the place's inadequacies, and it's a shame that this change for the worse had to happen, but I look forward to not going there anymore.
Absolute worst restaurant ever! Adds Insult To Injury!
Unsafe food handling/preparation: after biting into a RAW UNDERCOOKED LOBSTER TAIL, my brother was rushed to the hospital with an allergic reaction that thankfully was treated in the Emergency room. I stayed behind to pay our bill and was astonished, shocked, and completely disgusted when the manager came to the table to announce that he "took the lobster off the bill." This was an utter outrage and insult! To think they were "kind enough" to deduct the cost of the undercooked shellfish that sent my brother to the E.R. After a few choice words to this insensitive clod, he told me they were taking 20% off our check!! I will never return to this restaurant! Obviously the "B" grade they were recently given from the Dept. of Health did not wake these people up to proper food handling. Their people skills need improvement, as well. Terrible experience.
