We came to have an after dinner conversation. There were no coffee shops in the Peterkort Towne Square so we tried the Outback Steakhouse. We found they did not have green teas or chamomile, only a black tea and coffee which we prefer not to drink at night. They are not in season for hot cider which when asked, would be a powdered packet reconstituted with hot water. Perhaps I could have asked for a child's apple juice heated up. We did order a child's rib plate, and servers were gracious to allow a substitution if the child does not like it. I verify that it tasted good, but sometimes kids have a different opinion. Summation: If I wanted more of a hot beverage selection I would go elsewhere. We went on a Friday night. It was not raucous. You can hear yourself talk. Just needs more non-alcoholic, hot-drink options.

We were so excited about having my birthday dinner. I hadn't been to an Outback in many years. Like all of these chain restaurants, they start out great yet decline over time yet like everything else, the price goes up. The wait staff did great. So good service, food not so much.

We are familiar with Outback so we decided to stop on Beaverton where we were staying with relatives AND after a day long trip back down the coast to Lincoln city where we came from days prior. At around. 730p, unlike the OB in near our hometown of San Bruno,CA, we did not have to wait to be seated .we were greeted immediately and placed our order. Food was as expected- very good. We didnt wait an hour or even half hour as in bay area OB. server was friendly, accurate and attentive but didnt "hover". I am glad we opted to stop in rather than fight parking and prices in downtown Portland steakhouses

I have been going to the outback for years and have always enjoyed the food. But I was disappointed with the quality of the food on my last visit. Not sure I will be going back anytime soon.

My two sons have their birthdays on Labor Day weekend. We, as a family are huge prime rib fans and our tradition is to have a prime rib feed on the boys' birthdays. It is always a problem especially since we're on the westside. We've been to all of the prime rib specialty restaurants (other than the break the bank ones) with very mixed results. This year we decided to try Outback (we've be reluctant before because I did not know they took reservations for big parties and also because, we've had on and off luck with the prime rib). I called Jason, two days before the dinner and explained that we had a party of 10 with 50% prime rib eaters. He said he would set it up. True to his word. The table was set, the prime rib was excellent (and we all like it rare), the staff knew who we were and what we wanted. We were treated like royalty. We will sure go there again next year.

My husband wanted to eat ribs but the last time we tried another restaurant was a poor experience. This time we went to Outback and it has been a great surprise: super good service and food was great too. We will probably return

Not a place to go for a steak. I will not eat here again nor do I recommend this restaurant. The only bright spot was the waiters attempt to serve up that awful chow. If thats how they do it down under , I will dine with the yanks.

This location always has excellent service. Their steak is some of the best in the area, too....for a chain, that's saying something. I really wish they'd bring back the original "Walkabout Soup" (Creamy Onion.) But other than that, I love this location. Good folks.

My wife and I enjoy certain well-priced and well-prepared meals at lunchtime. We go on Sunday afternoon. Good variety of menu options. Good tasting food in reasonable quantity. The servers are friendly and very helpful. The prices are 10% off with AARP membership card at this time. Parking is normally reasonably available.

Have been here a number of times and the service is always outstanding. While it is a chain, they treat you as if they all have a vested interest in your meal. We had a minor problem with a cocktail and the manager was immediately on top of it to make things right. The food is good and reasonably priced

Eat here at least once a month: A Very Much above average dining establishment. Service is good consistently, not great, but comfortable and pleasant -- you get as you behave. Salads are quite good and fresh, plus, the dressings are great. Steaks are great; can't go wrong depending upon your desired preference for size, marbling, and doneness, i.e., filets are superb but big sirloins will never match them.

Even when they are busy each wait staff made us feel welcome as we took our time dining & visiting Coconut shrimp & onion blossom appetizers were a bonus

Excellent service and good food. Clean restaurant with prompt waiters. If you need to order to go items, timing is perfect.

While I have always liked Outback Steakhouse, whether in Hawaii, Washington State, or elsewhere. But on this occasion the Prime Rib was undercooked, fatty and relatively tasteless. And the fun didn't stop there; the fries were undercooked and mushy, the bread was overcooked, and my soup was also lukewarm. I would of complained, had the waiter returned soon after delivering our food. Yet, we didn't see him until we were finished with the meal, leaving half the Prime Rib and sides untouched. In short, I will NOT be returning to this particular location, EVER!!!

Good food at decent prices. Don't charge for soft drinks when waiting for table. Friendly staff providing good service.

Went in for our anniversary, excellent service, but the food...steak was tough, veggies were cold, and portions of everything were small especially for the price. We are not excellent cooks, but meals we have at home beat the meal we had there every night of the week. Very disappointed. Our first, and last, experience with Outback.

The best flavorful burgers around. Don't pass on the bloomin' onion-it is truly unique and tasty. Friendly service too!

Hard to complain because the server was so good and on her game. That being said... This Outback was not good. It didn't smell like an Outback. It smelled like bad whiskey, especially around the bathrooms and bar. Bushman 'Shrooms weren't on the menu but they still had them; they didn't taste like they had the right spice on them. Filet was tender pulling it apart with a fork but chewing it felt tough. I don't think I could return here unless they did something with that smell.

If I'm travelling and fancy a steak I often look to see if there's an Outback in the area and when staying a night in Portland I ended up at the Barnes Road Outback. I was warmly welcomed by the front of house and was looked after by my server, Joe. The menu has a good selection of options and one good new addition is the information on 'Steak Cooking Temperature' (See photo). I ordered a small portion of Buffalo Wings to start, followed by the 12oz New York Strip. I'm not normally a dessert guy but tonight the Thunder From Downunder (chocolate brownie) just had to be done! Everything was up to the usual Outback standard and at US$43 in total for my meal and a Coke Zero it was reasonable value. This Outback restaurant has been open since 1997 and having just undergone a refurbishment it's looking fresh and new despite its 18 years in business.

Got the bone in NY strip steak. It was a poor quality cut of meat. Steak was tuff to eat. To make matters worse the waiter never came back to the table and asked how the steak was. I have literally travelled all over the US and this place must just be poorly run. Will not go back.

Dining at Out back can be an adventure. This location is a franchise so we never know if the specials will be honored. Asked for our Blooming Monday (free blooming onion) and if they would honey r the corporate ad. They said they would so we all had steak and lobster. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the lobster was tender and tasty. Joseph (our server) was excellent and anticipated our every need. Our best experience in an Outback in a very long time. Well done mates.

This is always a good choice for a dinner with family. My son was having his birthday and we called ahead to reserve a table. The food is always good.

This last visit was very unpleasant. Our steaks were undercooked from what we had ordered them. When we brought our salads we had to ask for our silverware, the waiter brought my son his birthday treat and didn’t even sign happy birthday. We waited and had to ask for our change after we paid. One good thing was the heradura margarita and the Mac n cheese.

I know some of the Outbacks we've eaten in have been mediocre at best and you don't order fish in a steakhouse. However, tonight we had a great experience with wonderful service in the bar. My steak was cooked perfectly and the baked potato was just as I like it. I added the blooming onion strips which were crispy goodness! My husband had the pork porterhouse and was very pleased with it. Always attentive, the server was super friendly. I would definitely go back to this one when we are back on this side of town. Well done!! The two of us for around $45 with drinks.

Our group of six celebrated a birthday there on a recent Saturday night. The place was packed; customers were waiting outside to get inside to wait. The service was prompt, efficient, and friendly and our meals--steak/lobster and pork--was nicely done, except for one glitch. My grandson ordered his steak rare and it arrived well-done. He sent it back, but it took a while for the replacement. By the time it arrived, the rest of us had finished our dinners. We had a good time, but the prices are a bit much for value received. This will likely be a special occasion place for us.

We certainly want to thank the staff at Outback for a great family get together. This was for the 96th birthday of our mother and grandmother. From start to finish, we can say nothing but good words for the people involved with the booking, set up, and the entire meal. The food was excellent, and the wait staff was totally on top of every detail. .To handle 23 people for dinner the way they did was very impressive. We highly recommend coming here for great food and an outstanding dining experience.

Consistently good food across the chain. Menus changed recently and my favorite, Wedge and Filet, is no longer available. On occasion, the meat is overcooked or the french fries are limp. There is never enough salad dressing on the Caesar salad, but they will always bring more, if needed.

I love this place. The entire menu is good, steaks are great, bread is great. I don't like waiting 30-45 minutes to be seated.

Well we tried again...! Once...just once...I would have liked to go to Outback ordered a steak, and had it cooked the way I ordered it, and was able to enjoy it without chewing through tons of grizzly meat...no such luck this last yime either. Everything else is pretty good, but it's called "Steak House" ...not bread house, not side salad house, and not appetizer house!!! Just sayin'...!

Ok for the price

I'm not usually a fan of chain restaurants, but have enjoyed Outback Steak in the past. I had the char-grilled ribeye steak, bone-in, cooked rare, with roasted garlic butter on top. The steak was perfectly cooked to my order and the garlic butter outstanding complement to the meat. I skipped the offered starchy potato and went for broccoli, which was very good and not over cooked. Had a house salad, which was good. The salad had iceberg lettuce, which could have been improved by having a mixed green lettuce. We skipped the alcoholic drink, appetizer and desert, so the total bill consulted of two meals, the only extra was roasted garlic butter, for a total of $67. Very satisfied. Service was good.

Very good dinner, staff was very attentive, the filet was delicious. We always have the filet and lobster when we go out.

Disappointed. There was 4 of us. I had a salad with steak slices on it and the meat wasn't tender. Husband had shrimp with rice an broccoli which wasn't cooked all the way. Another 2 meals were filet mignon and not tender. Ceasar salad was just ok. Considering the price we felt stabbed in the wallet.

We just love the Outback Steakhouse chain. Went out of our way to find this one. As usual the food and the service was excellent. The lad at the front of house needs to cheer up a bit but it was so good we went back again this evening. Quesadillas a must!

Our cut of beef was terrible. We made a complaint and the manager knocked off the bill. His professionalism was very highly appreciated. Also it is worth mentioning that the service at this place is excellent. Our server Tom was really cool and super funny. He gets 10/10 for service.

really had a bad experience because when i start to eat i did not find any eating utensils and i have a big loss of my time to find plastic spoon

We went here for Happy Hour and I had a $4.95 Sausa gold margarita and my wife had a great peach drink for $5.95 and we both ordered it for a second round. The bloom’n onion was 4.95 and some spicy wings were 5.95. Chicken tenders with fries were 6.95. Good food specials and drink specials on happy hour but a bit high priced otherwise! Highly recommend their happy hour

Good food and great service Had dinner there on New Year's Eve. Staff was very friendly and we did not have too long of a wait for a table.

Today was about our 5th time eating here (we recently moved nearby) and every time we've been served by Tom the bartender, we've had excellent service and great food. Tom is consistently friendly, calls you (and remembers you) by your first names, is very professional, and really knows the menus. We had the Steak Quesadilla appetizer, Caesar Salads with shrimp and chicken, wine and craft beer. All were fantastic quality, Tom was very attentive, and we did not have to wait at all for anything. Thanks again to Tom and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND Outback Steakhouse on Barnes.

Enjoy quieter tables in the Bar area. Met a couple of church members by surprise and enjoyed excellent service from the waitress we always enjoy. Spent a lot of time talking and visiting while enjoying the ample, tasty food that was served. We try to eat here most Sundays after church services.

We are coming here once a month, and it never failed us. We enjoy the food, the setting and the personal. The top sirloin, the ribs, the new york are so good!

Not impressed. Expensive and mediocre. Had to send steak back. How hard to make it well done and then it shows up on your plate still bleeding????Saylors steak house a million times better. Our waitress was nice but the food... we will go somewhere else next time. Nice tables and environment. But. No thank you again...😳

My Mom & I visited tis location because we love lobster and we saw a commercial advertising a sale for $15.99. We called to make sure it was still on and were told it was. When we arrived, ww confirmed with the hostess (we cant typically afford steak & lobster so it is a real treat). She confirmed it. Our waiters however were unsure- which was weird. Anyway, the bill ended up being sort of confusing because they rang us up at one price -which wasnt even their regular price for the entree. Then discounted it to make it come out to $15.99. It ended up fine but, we both felt like it wouldnt have happened at that price had we not double & triple checked. They didnt advertise it anywhere in the restaurant. Maybe because it was toward the end of the special. The servers were pleasant and fast. It just felt like no one communicated with each other. Our food was delivered by a couple different servers and fbey had no idea what they were delivering and would make an “announcement” here’s your salad with ranch dressing. Well, thats not what i ordered and it isn’t what you are delivering either. Id prefer they take a couple extra seconds to understand our order than rushing it out and not know what it is we ordered. we felt like an afterthought - or they were rushing it to us to get back to a high dollar table - because they would make more money in a tip. Might not have been intended. But that was the vibe. Otherwise, steak was cooked to perfection. Exactly how ordered for both and everything was tasty! Will go again and would recommend. Hence 4 stars.

Good service, good food, nice atmosphere. Went on a Wednesday and they have chicken and steak specials. We both had steaks that were cooked perfect, great tasting and very tender. We both had a cocktail...Captain's Mai Tai and a Tropical Relief Martini. The drinks were very good and so was the coconut prawns appetizer.

There were 6 of us who ate here. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was prompt and courteous. I had salmon with a bacon garnish ( I've never seen salmon done like this) ( I'm an Englishman who has lived in South Africa for 35 years), but the bacon and the sauce went well with the salmon and roast sweet potato. They served an entree of potato soup which was delicious along with a dark bread. (We had had a meal at Timberline, Mount Hood earlier in the day which was without doubt the worst burger I have ever had on 3 continents, so this meal at Outback was a real revelation)

My dad and I went there because he had a $25 discount card. Dad had prime rib and he said it was good. I wanted healthy food so I picked from their low calorie dishes and chose salmon. I asked the waitress how to make it under 600 calories (like the menu said to do) and she said that it already is and that they add a little butter to the pan so it doesn't stick. My vegetable was too buttery and salty and so was the salmon. I didn't like it at all. Would not go back there even with a $25 discount.

Our server went out of his way to make sure we were cared for at every moment, without over-doing it. Congratulations. The food was excellent, cooked to our preferences ... to perfection.

I took my boyfriend to this Outback for Father's Day and, I must say, we couldn't have been more pleased. Our waiter was just perfect - friendly, attentive, but not overly so. I ordered the Mahi and it was super delicious - my boyfriend had a ribeye steak and while it was quite thin, it had great flavor and was cooked to his specifications - rare. (I know this because I got a taste too). It IS a chain, so you're not going to get many surprises here, but we think it's solid food.

We received a gift certificate from a friend for this restaurant who thought we would like it. We were greeted by the manager and told him that this was our first visit to an Outback restaurant. Our server was Beth D. She was great. Since this was our first time she explained the menu to us and made some suggestions. Mary had prime rib and was very pleased with it. I had chicken which was very tasty. Both of us agreed the vegetables were cooked just like we like them. Firm but not mushy. We split a salad which was very fresh and more then enough for two as far as we were concern. We even had a small "Thunder Ice Cream" desert". Glad we went for the small one and not the larger "Thunder". Doing a restaurant review is not something I do since everyone's taste buds are different but we were very impressed with the food and our server that we feel this review was warranted. Plan to try there lunch menu the next time. Oh we thought that their prices were reasonable.

Fantastic food and service - the best we have experienced within this chain. They go out of there way to accommodate couple who have children wth food allergies.

This is a favorite place for our family. Outback always delivers great food at a very respectable price. If you have not had a bloomin' onion, you need to. I always go straight for their Victoria's Filet Mignon. Melts in your mouth.

The food was good though not exceptional. The blooming onion petals were okay though a lot of crumbs included. Salad and steak were great. The waiter was efficient and friendly. I always wonder why greeters/seaters don’t ask folks where they would like to sit (especially when the restaurant is not even 25% occupied). It seems, as during this visit, where it suits them rather than the paying guest.

You go the Outback for the food; it's a chain where the quality managed to stay good unlike other brands. No unpleasant surpises at this location. Actually, the wait staff was excellent, and, considering this was a Saturday night, there was no delay getting our order. Food was good, as usual.

Both the steak and the salmon were overcooked. Those are two items that should never be overcooked. The quesadilla was good but this place is overpriced for what you get. The service was good.

It was a good dinner. My only complaint would be that the Blooming Onion was over cooked and a bit greasy. I believe the oil it was cooked in was needing refreshed. Other than that the rest of the meal was very good.

This was my first visit to an Ouitback Steakhouse even though my wife has suggested it for years. The meal's first course was a salad loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, white onions, cucumbers, croutons and other salad fixings with a very delicious in-house made honey mustard dressing. Then came the main course, a New York Strip Steak. We chose their signature 17 spice seasoning, cooked medium rare and it came cooked perfectly. It was accompanied by their garlic mashed potatoes. Potatoes were also perfect, with an intense garlic flavor, slightly chunky with peel included. This was the all around perfect meal. We will be back to this Outback or one closer to home, very soon. I am only sorry it took me so long to discover how good their food is. Service was also excellent in every way.

Came here for a business dinner at the request of my Canadian colleagues who don't get Outback. I've been to Outback several times over the years and my expectations were met. This Outback lives up to the standard of a fun atmosphere, friendly attentive staff, cold beers, and a decent steak. No real complaints.

Went there with wife's parents. I had nice salmon and my wife had a great rib steak. Her father had fish and chips which he thought was not tasty. He really wanted halibut. Her mother had flat iron steak which she did not like because she thought the cut was wrong.

Just ate at outback food came really quick and it was super good. The waiter "james" was awesome. I recommend you go for lunch. It is not cheap but worth it
when your inner bloomin onion calls this is where to go
every now and then I get the hungries for a bloomin onion... and the only place to go for that is the outback steak house on barnes road... they recently remodeled the place and it is much quieter now... I love their prime rib.. and all the extras that go with it .. the wedge salad with all the walnut and balsamic goodies on it is great.. they serve wonderful ribs too... my wife loves their pasta dishes..
