Great tasting food in the middle of the casino and a very reasonable price. Very fresh tasting and flavorful. Highly recommended the pan roast and shrimp and lobster fra Diablo. Very efficiently ran. Worth a bit of a wait for sure!!!

Awesome!!!!!!!

Recently had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant. OMG...food was grrrreat!!!!! Your dish is prepared in front of you with the freshest seafood. Highly recommend this establishment. Be prepared to wait for a seat as there are only approximately twenty seats and it can take up to an hour...maybe longer; however DEFINITELY worth the wait.

Greatest, most affordable seafood on the Strip

By r4trips2 |

I've been eating at The Oyster Bar for years and I know the staff there well! This is truly hidden gem on the Strip. Everything is always perfect here! I need to spend less time gaming and more time eating here. The Blue Point Oysters are fantastically fresh. The blackened Cajun scallops dish is my favorite! Thanks staff for making every visit there a most memorable experience!

A must eat when in Vegas!

By F5993GMericd |

I love this place. Every time I visit Vegas, I almost always have to eat here. Sometimes even twice within one Vegas trip. There are only 18-20 seats at the bar. You cannot order to-go unless you've been seated first. I asked them when theyre least busiest, they said 6-8:30 am. I usually end up here about 3 or 4 pm and the wait is still 1 hour & 30 minutes to an 2 hour long to be seated; then you have to wait for them to take your order and prepare the food. It's definitely worth the wait because everything smells and tastes amazing! For me I will only eat here when Chef Eze Is cooking the pan roast. Why? He takes his time and makes it right, never rushes the process. The other cooks don’t seem to cook it as well, just my opinion not an insult. What I've eaten here: Oysters: 5/5 very fresh! Combo Pan Roast $25.99: 5/5 tomato stew w/ shrimp, crab, lobster. Pick the spiciness level; I usually get a 0. Add my own heat. You can hardly taste the tomato base; my wife doesn't like tomato base stuff but truly enjoyed this panroast. Top off with one big scoop of steamed rice! Just like in Hawaii. I also get a side of pasta.mmthe suave is so thick it sticks to the pasta! It's difficult for 1 person to finish one of these and You can share one. Bouill-roast $25.99: 4/5 seafood stew w/ clams, mussels, shrimp. I prefer the panroast! Clam Chowder; cup $6.99; bowl $10.99: 5/5 hands down the best clam chowder I've ever had! Every bite had clams in it. Not too much potatoes. They peel and devein the shrimp, shuck the oysters. Only one guy cooking at the bar. Sitting at the bar is great because you can see the hard work that goes into cooking these pan roasts and other dishes. Don't try to sit at the bar if the seat is empty and the bar hasn't been wiped down. The employees will not allow it. Stand in line like evryone else. When you're ready to take leftovers home, they'll put it in a styrofoam container for you and then Saran Wrap it. I rarely give 5 stars, I am definitely not a wait in line 2 hours for good, but this is one place that is worth it!

Our first stop on EVERY Vegas visit!

By AuntieJoy |

Since we live in the LA/Orange county area, we make it to Vegas maybe 3-4 times a year, sometimes more often. This is our first stop on every trip. The pan roast is the Bomb. We get the combo with double meat and two bowls of the heavenly rice. Most of the time, we order appetizers that we don’t need. Bob is what makes this place stand out. He’s not much of a talker but he makes excellent pan roast and gumbo. He keeps the open kitchen spotless. The other Station casinos have some version of this bar, but even the employees come here to eat on their days off. There is always a wait at lunchtime. So what! Grab a $0.99 margarita and chat it up with your new friends in line. We have had pan roast all over the place, but this is the best of them all. We’ve driven here for the day JUST for lunch. If they make more seats, we think something will be lost in the personal touch each kettle gets. Wait it out and enjoy!

On a scale of 1-5, they are a resounding 10!

Wow, where to start. I LOVE this place. The food is amazing. It advertises Louisana Cajun Creole food and it delivers. The Location. The restaurant is in the middle of bustling casino. The bar (and it is literally a long bar with tall seats), holds approximately17 people. After a wait of over an hour, our party of 3, split up so we could get a seat. Two of us sat together and another friend ended up sitting at the very edge of the bar next to a group of 8 guys from New Jersey. The People. We sat next to the guys from New Jersey. They were in town for a christian conference. They were veterans. They said they eat at the oyster bar whenever they are in town. Their order came before ours. I was asking the guy sitting next to me what he was eating (a shrimp roast). I'd never heard of a shrimp roast. He asked for a bowl and gave me a hearty cup full. His friend sitting on the other side of the bar gave my friend a cup of his dish. The shrimp roast was delicious. Well seasoned, perfectly cooked and a huge portion. It was fun enjoying our "communal" meal with people we just met. The Food. I ordered seafood gumbo. The gumbo was good and authentic. I wouldn't hesitate to take my New Orleans' cousins to this place. They are not push overs, however I think they would love this gumbo. The seasoning was spot on, with okra (big chucks so you can take them out if you don't like them- but give them a try), big pieces of shrimp and crab floating on top. The roux used to make the gumbo is what I remember from childhood gumbo parties at home. Everything was good, we shared a Caesar salad which was enough for three people. The Staff. The Oyster Bar has a very colorful staff. We got into trouble with the wait staff upon arrival. We walked up to the bar and sat down. The waitress told us to get up and wait in line. We didn't see a line when we walked up. Once we sat at the bar she showed her kind side and was a sweetheart. The guy cooking the food (most of the food is prepared right in front of the guests) was seriously cooking without a smile. Upon our departure we paid our respects to him and we got a big smile out of him. Everyone working was professional, quick and pleasant. The Line. Its long. You have to strategize when to show up. It is open 24 hours ,7 days a week. We went at 11am and the line was about an hour. The line can be deceiving, as some people leave one person in line and then they show up right when you think you will be seated. This was one of the best meals I've had in Las Vegas and I will definitely go back every time I'm in town.

Fabulous Seafood

Seafood is fresh and delicious. Seafood Risotto is FABULOUS! A little pricey for lunch, so recommend Dinner, but always yummy.

Nice choice of Seafood Gumbo

By BrianTong |

Been to this place with my buddies during our yearly sales conference in LV. Great choices of difference menu and get to tried both the lobster and seafood gumbo. Really tasty and filling. Didn't managed to finish all but will be back soon to try some others as well. Seating is limited so you have to queue for it the best food. Excellent choice to fill your stomach when you're at Palace Station Casino and Hotel.

I'm not easy! ....................to please

By Bob L |

There is a line, it is expected if your cooking everything in a small area and it is of this quality. Don't even try and make a reservation. this place is packed 24 hrs a day. The line is shorter and possibly non existent after 5AM. I have only tried the Lobster Gumbo and being that like it I get it every time. People have told me that everything on the menu great and that may be so but for me Lobster. BTW I can do damage to a bowl of this stuff but I had to get a takeout box (enough for 2)..

Best in town

By Nailcutter |

Been coming here for years. Now it is impossible to get s seat at the Oyster bar. There are only 20 seats so expect to wait. You are waiting for cooked to order seafood dishes like pan roasts, chowder soup, Cioppino and gumbo. Everything comes out piping hot and watch the spice! Palace station was just redone but the Oyster bar remains #1 there!!

Always good at the Palace Station

By Nailcutter |

Came for lunch while in town. Only waited in line for an hour. Once seated got the traditional sour dough rolls. We ordered the combo pan roast with shrimp, crab meat and lobster for $25 and we shared it. We ordered it mild since it can get very spicy. It was very good as usual but rich! The fresh seafood here is always good and reason while there is always a line.

Excellent

By Booboo811 |

Speaking as a non-seafood eater this place was excellent! A friend made me go, even though she knows I don’t care for seafood. They will tell you what the top seller is to that’s excellent, I don’t recall the name. But I’m told there is normally a long wait. I highly recommend!!!!

Pleasant surprise!

By Leslie E |

Fresh delicious oysters. Careful the horseradish is HOT. The lobster bisque is amazing. Service is okay, could use a bit more wait staff.

Mixed feelings

By IraNan |

Been wanting to go here for a very long time. Even though we live here, just never made it. Well, very mixed feelings about a place that has such a sterling reputation. The wife and I arrived mid afternoon and maybe a 15 minute wait. Employees were very nice and appeared to be focusing on their jobs. We ordered two drafts, a dozen "gold band oysters", I ordered the Bouill-Roast, and the wife ordered the Bouillabaisse. First off both the Bouill-Roast and Bouillabaisse were outstanding. My big complaint is that they boldly advertise "gold band oysters". They are oysters from Louisiana that are pressure washed clean and the process also makes the oysters open to shed their meat. The washing process is suppose to clear all dirt, bacteria etc. and make for easy serving as they recluse the oysters and put a gold band around them to keep them fresh and closed. Well, I watched these people pull out some of the smallest oysters I have ever seen, that were dirty and they had to be hand shucked. They were not, I repeat not Gold Band Oysters. O top of that, more than half of them were not cut from the shell, and they were loaded with broken shell. Worst of all is that four of the oysters were not much bigger than a nickel. That is extremely small. Felt very ripped off. People sitting next to me expressed the same mediocre feeling about the oysters but said they were from the Midwest and use to being served inferior seafood. Never again!

Good food but wait is looooong

By JTip60 |

Stopped at the Oyster Bar after reading TA reviews, I am always ready for raw oysters and good seafood dishes. The line was 16 deep - ok to be expected - but the wait was made unnecessarily long due to a party of 6 wanting to wait for all 6 seats together. Given that the seating is around a bar - hence the name - this was impossible and the remaining 10 people behind them were made to wait. Management should have dealt with the situation but with business so good, there was no relief for the rest of us. Again the food was very good but I can’t justify a 2 hour wait for any meal.

Went back the next day

By Wendy |

We enjoyed our meal so much, we went back the following night! The oysters and pan roasts were excellent. I had the combo pan roast which was delicious. My boyfriend had the linguine with white clam sauce and the shrimp scampi. I was concerned that he might lick the bowls, but he contained himself. I love oyster shooters and the Oyster Bar did not disappoint. Expect long waits as the bar seating is very limited and reservations are not taken. Once seated, no one is rushing you.

This was a surprise!

By David P |

This was a surprise! It is a delicious large sports bar/restaurant in the hotel with great food. It is not a seafood only restaurant. I ate Ribs and Hamburger. Really tasty and filling. It is comfortable and located just of the casino.

Worth the wait

By holtphotog |

We waited in line for 30 minutes. We waited for our food for 30 minutes. And we would wait DOUBLE that to eat there again. Absolutely phenomenal food and service!!!!

Worth the Wait. Best Meal I've had in Vegas!

By Brandon Godward |

Wow, a wonderful meal inside a Casino of all places. In general I've been very underwhelmed with most of the meals I've had in Vegas. Most things are over priced and overrated. But that all changed today at the Oyster Bar located in the Palace Station Casino. Be warned their is always a wait at this restaurant. They only serve 20 people at a time and often have a hour long wait. But the food is totally worth it. I came here for the Combo Pan Roast, and it was wonderful. It had tons of flavor, and tons of heat. I loved that you can adjust the spice level on a scale of 1-10. I love spicy food and order a 8, was just right. Great way to cure a hangover. I had never heard of a pan roast before. It's a cajun spiced, tomato cream based stew filled with seafood. Very similar to a cajun Indian curry. Served with a side of white rice. May sound kind of weird, but it was delicious. The sauce is amazing and very addicting, would be great on anything. If you have time to wait, I would highly recommend checking this out!

Very good seafood AND reasonably priced??!!

By LinQue |

Got in here a bit on the late side (around 8PM). No wait seating immediately by Amberly (the very nice hostess). Was met by the Amie (not positive if that was her name but it was similar to that), the server. Very attentive and accurate with our orders. My buddy ordered the jambalaya and loved it. He thought it was going to be too much food but it turned out just right. I ordered the Louisiana Seafood Boil with mussels. Man, was that delicious. Sausage, mussels, corn, potatoes, in a very tasty broth, coupled with dinner rolls...yum! I always have dessert. Too much good food! Didn't have room for dessert! Had it around midnight...but that's another review. Highly recommended. Good for singles, couples, groups, families. Can get loud because you're right next to the slot machines. But overall, you can't go wrong. Food was fantastic, staff was very attentive. Drinks never went dry, until the end. Prices for all dishes were very reasonable considering it was seafood. I would not hesitate to go back for another really good meal!

Great cioppino!!

By Rosemary P |

We ordered the cioppino and it was fantastic. Delicious flavor and lots of seafood- crab, scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams. Price was $22 which was good for the amount of seafood in the dish. It was served with white rice. We also received bread before our meal. Would definitely return.

Fresh !

By LindaMcDermott |

oh, the smell of that fresh seafood - just passing by makes the mouth water. There is bar-type seating, which is congenial & fun, as visiting with others is natural. Food: fantastic.

A gem

By Vince L |

Was dragged to Oyster Bar at Palace Station by a friend who had been there. In Vegas for a convention and didn't want to venture away from our hotel but damn!!! This place is flat out awesome. Had the seafood combo pan roast. Top 5 meals of all time. Absolutely incredible spot that I would have never heard of be it not for a friend making me go. Not sure what else to say but the 1 hr wait was worth it. Even Roberto the chef got a tip.

My FAVORITE Spot in Vegas

By Heidi R |

I get off the plane in Vegas and take a car immediately to The Oyster Bar at Palace Station. I do this regardless of where I’m staying, who I’m with, or way I’m there because if I don’t go at least once, its all I think about the whole time. You’ll have to wait in line. Sometimes I’ve been lucky and only waited 15 or 20 minutes, but it’s usually more like an hour. I’ve talked to people who have waited 3 or 4 hours for a few seats together (I think there are 18 chairs). Best to take shifts waiting in line while the rest of your group enjoys the casino. Since Palace Station is off the strip and geared more for locals, the table minimums are not crazy. Everyone is really nice. On the menu, my favorite item is the Special Pan Roast with shrimp, crab and lobster. I’m gluten-free, and I have never had an issue with this item. I haven’t tried the clam chowder, but have been told that is the best in the universe.

You must go

By revmichaelg |

I normally stay at Palace Station when visiting Las Vegas. I was not going to this time due to construction and the fact that currently there is no pool. However, I stayed here two nights just so I could go to the Oyster Bar. There are 18 seats and I waited about 45 minutes to get a seat. Each half of the bar is serviced by a different server and there are 1-2 cooks constantly cooking. I ordered a caesar salad and combination pan roast. It's this tomato based, cream with brandy, soup/stew like with lobster, crab, and shrimp. You can get it with just one of those or all of those. They have a lot of other menu items; most are based on some type of soup/stew base. This place is awesome! Totally worth the wait.

Good food with great service

By Threena |

We came here after a night of partying around 2am and there was still a line. We waited about an hour to be seated since there were only about 20 seats. The hour wait was well worth it for the food and entertainment that the chef, Ricardo, provided us. He was funny and kept all the customers entertained while he cooked. We ordered a bowl of clam chowder and the seafood bouillabaisse. They were both amazing, richly satisfying that it brings you the warmth of a home cooked meal brings. We will definitely come back and try the other things on the menu.

My favourite place to eat.

By CharleyMS_13 |

We always sit at the bar and end up in wonderful conversations with other tourists. The food is really good, and the prices are reasonable. I had a delicious seafood risotto for around $27 - it had shrimp, clams, scallops and a lobster tail - too much food for me. My husband had a pound of beer-boiled shrimp, came with salad and cost around $26.

One of my favorite places to eat in Vegas

By kanicon |

I always look forward to my pan roast at the oyster bar. I’ve heard there is a better one at the palace station but I’m not a big fan of waiting in long lines for food and a hangry me is a scary me, so I opt to always try to stop at Harrah’s instead and so far it’s never let me down. I’ve never had to wait for seats because they always have ample tables and seats at the bar. Definitely a must try when you’re ever looking for a meal outside of the buffet scene.

Oyster Bar is a must in VEGAS

By Chloeme5 |

What can I say that has not already been said? Oyster Bar is an icon in Sin City. You must plan your trip around a visit to the Palace Station to hop in line for one of the coveted 18 seats at the Oyster Bar. There's always a line but I'll tell you a little secret. The best time to go without a wait is for breakfast. Otherwise, you're looking at a minimum of 1 hour if you're lucky. Average wait time is usually 2 hours depending when you go. Is it worth the wait? Absolutely. What should order? Oysters, clam chowder and of course the PAN ROAST. I've been to New Orleans and I did not even see Pan Roast on the menu. I've had Pan Roast at other restaurants but its just not the same. You can only get it here. Always imitated but never duplicated they say. Please don't knock it until you try it. This place is not over hyped. So grab your fully charged cell phone and comfortable shoes and head on over to Oyster Bar to wait in line and you will not be disappointed.

Great fish tacos!

By Ruth M |

Just stopped into Oyster Bar for quick bite before a show. The service was great and I really enjoyed the fish tacos. The fish tasted fresh and the portions were pretty filling. My husband had the beef medallion sliders and said they were excellent. Very tender and tasteful.

Last minute recommendation

By Dave C |

This place was amazing. I’m from the jersey shore. So I get to eat plenty of amazing fresh seafood. This place is comparable to them all! The Lobster gumbo was amazing and I highly recommend it!!

First impression

By gidrah |

Went on Thanksgiving morning, took about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get seated. Worth it? I will say “yes”. Had a cup of clam chowder (white) delicious. My husband had a doz fresh oysters, he liked them. We shared a bowel of a mix of seafood with what tasted like a very good tomato bisque, with a spice level of 5. The service was very good and the place is small in the middle of the casino, but the team work within the staff was impressive. Would go back but at more odd hours to try to avoid wait times. Opened 24 hours.

Amazed and worth the wait

By buffaloMT |

Normally I would NEVER wait longer than 5-10 minutes to eat somewhere. We waited over an hour only because I have heard for so long how good this was. I simply had to find out for myself what all the hype was about. These pan-roasts are over the top amazing! I am talking last meal sorta stuff. I had a combo pan roast with pretty much everything , spicy scale 5 and also a dozen oysters. Phenomenal ! All of it! Great service & prices too. I wouldn't hesitate to wait in line again!!

Yes! It's worth the 2 hour wait

By Terryclare S |

I am so not regretting waiting in line for over 2 hours. Many say that was a good what time. The clam chowder is to die for(took 1 order to go it's that good). The fresh oyster platter is worth the cost.

The Combo Pan Roast: One of the Best Thing I Have Eaten!!

By Jennifer H |

My brother kept telling me I HAD to go to the Oyster Bar and order the Combo Pan Roast. On a recent Girl's Weekend in Vegas, I finally listened to him and went. He could not have been MORE RIGHT and I am lame for not going earlier. I can't even imagine going to Vegas now and NOT going to the Oyster Bar for the Combo Pan Roast. We got to the Oyster Bar about 10:45am and it was the perfect time - there were only a few people in line ahead of us and we only waited about 15 minutes. There is ALWAYS a line as there are only a dozen or so seats for the restaurant. We checked over the menu and ordered a couple of Sam Adams beers, some oysters and the seafood combo. The beer was nice and cold and came with the freshest, warm sourdough roll imaginable. Next we had some lovely, salty oysters..delicious. And then came the main attraction - the Combo Pan Roast. Omg. I just can't even put into words just HOW delicious this dish is. It is kind of a gumbo chocked full of seafood with very original spices. It is perfectly spicy and decadently rich. I will frame about this at night. I can't wait to go back to Vegas just to go back to Oyster Bar and have this dish. It might be one of the best things I have ever eaten.

Oysters Galore

By 1Jeeplover |

Well, I have to say the oysters here were a lot bigger than anticipated. Which was great, for someone like me. We also ordered the lump crab cocktail and the lobster pan roast was absolutely amazing. The only down side to this place is that there are no tables. You sit at a bar so seating can take a while. But it's worth the wait.

Fresh seafood

By Kristine J |

Oyster Bar as name said, having fresh seafoods, always is very difficult for me to find right place, but Oyster bar have all what I was looking for, fresh seafood, interesting dishes, and price are very god in term of taste, hope will visit them soon.

Excellent seafood, who knew? !

By mjlIII |

We have walked by this place many times on our visits to Harrahs but had never given it a second thought. But this time after going to an early show, we decided to check it out and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered Oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer and they were yummy. My wife had the Ahi Tuna and I had the seafood pasta as our mains and again we were happily surprised by the quality and taste. All the items are fresh and made to order. We will no longer pass it by! We recommend it.

Not to shabby

By Sky90034 |

I went with a group of 5 and we ordered a few items to snack on. We had lobster bisque, clam chowder, Oysters Rockefeller, calamari and some drinks. The service was average but the food was good. I would stop by again. Portions were decent and flavor was on the chowder and bisque were delightful.

Lots of Oyster Varieties

By janetp604 |

Not only do they have different varieties and all sizes of oysters, their display of the oysters is "eye-candy". I like to sit at the bar so you can see all the activity going on.

Wow! Wow! Wow!

By TraveledMilesPerHour |

A true gem off the main strip that typically has a wait but is well with it. Great value for the money and one of the most memorable meals over the course of my 5 day stay. Everything on the rather short menu is a good choice. This will most likely be my first stop on my return trip to Vegas. This spot is a real find. Cheers!

A break for eating some sandwiches

By Gabriel A |

Because of the thrilling life in Las Vegas, I decided to take a break at the Subway, knowing the very good quality of the sandwiches with meat and vegetables produced here.

Worth the wait

By KevinSonOne |

This is a go to when I visit Vegas. There will be a line. Accept it. Good news is most are regulars who also hate the line, so will be quick about their meal to keep it moving. And the line does move. Worth waiting for.

Just too Small and very long lines. Didn’t wait to eat

By yoyomousa |

If you are the type of person who enjoys long lines and long waits, this is the place for you. I am the type of person who will not wait after my reservation time has passed without following up. No reservations here. It’s obvious that they could fill a bar 5 times the size and make a lot more money. I didn’t wait, despite the trip to the casino especially for this. It’s not worth the trip IMHO. Was looking forward to the food, but not to be.

Beyond expectations

By mrjingjok |

My evening here want supposed to happen. I was expecting to have dinner at an upscale Japanese restaurant in Chinatown. Unbeknownst to me plans changed and I was livid upon hearing that instead we were going to PALACE STATION instead. WTF? This place is not a (how do you say?) Tourist attraction. Upon arrival at 7:30 PM, we were informed that our wait was approximately 90 minutes. My anger was even more inflamed. When we sat, I ordered the Pan Roast Combo. I waited another 30 minutes for my first bite, then my anger transformed to sheer JOY! Some things in life are with the wait. This dish was simply a taste of pure satisfaction. My idea of instant gratification has been changed. I will wait and wait and wait for another bite.

Great service, prompt seating, delicious meal. This was a repeat visit, so glad to find the same level of service and food as the first time. From the appetizers to our meals could not have asked for a more awesome dining experience. Hot food, hot and cold food, cold. Nice atmosphere.

Vacation

The oyster bar located in the casino, seats approximately 12. 10 minutes minimum waiting for a seat but worth the wait. Excellent dishes cooked in front of you. pretty good for a seafood bar in the desert.

Too bad this place is only a dam bar

By Shelby V |

I found this place in Vegas and was eager to try. When I arrived I noticed 3 bar stools open and I sat at the one in the middle. The cook said please do not sit yet and pointed to the block long line to sit at the bar. Really who does this? Not me. So I walk next door to the Charcoal room. It was great

Gotta Try

By Chiefbuff |

The good news the seafood is fresh, tasty, served how you like it. Prices are average for Vegas and quality seafood. Large assortment of menu items from not to hot. Cajun choices and nice desserts. Food is cooked in front of you in steam hot pots so there are no surprises. The bad news this place is a sit down bar type seating with limited seats( maybe 30) so depending on time and volume you could wait a long time. If people “linger” as they eat it can be longer though they do try to keep things moving. Also with a larger party you may have to sit apart? We went at 11:00 am on a Saturday and waited about 40 minutes. When we left I figured some people would be 1 1/2 hours plus. It is open 24 hours so you may get lucky at 5 am?

Hungry couple

It’s been in my bucket list to dine at this restaurant because of all the hype. But they did warn me about the wait. We got lucky our wait was only 15 mins. We ordered the combo pot roast, clam chowder New England, and oyster. They were all delicious but that combo pot roast though was over the top. All the staff was friendly and we enjoyed watching the chef cook all the meals. They had a pretty good system and as busy as it was everyone did their job explicitly. Will definitely go again but next time will order the mussels and seafood gumbo. Kudos to all who made our experience worth the wait.

Good pan roast

By travelingcoinman |

The only reason they didn’t get five stars was the mismanagement of seating. Being the sixth person in line and having to wait nearly an hour for a seat while watching empty seats the entire time was frustrating. One guy even got take out and then sat there for 10-15 minutes. One person who could manage the small place would probably double the productivity in no time. Not sure it was worth the wait.

FRESHNESS

By Heather B |

If you love fresh... If you love fish... The oysters here are soo delish! Trust me, the wait is WORTH the while! The finest and beautifully created worldly seafood dishes... It’s not just for locals... Leave the strip for a fabulous dinner & a beautiful glass of Vino to pair... The freshest seafood prepared right in front of your hungry eyes... Come, to satisfy that hunger pang, and you’re certain to enjoy! A MUST Eat!!!

Hidden gem!

By and gr |

17 years of visiting Vegas and never found this place! Was recommended by some people we met in Lake Tahoe. We were warned about the 24/7 queues, but we only waited about 35 mins (4pm), and it was worth waiting hours for! The pan roasts were some of the best seafood I have ever eaten! Watching the chefs prepare everything in front of us added to the experience. Worth every penny, and worth getting off the Strip to find this place. Can’t wait to return!,

An experience, you get to watch them cook your food.

Be prepared to wait, there is always a line & the people don’t mind, they know the wait is worth it.

More Hype Than Reality

By HawaiiKaiGail |

My husband and I live in Summerlin...so Las Vegas locals. Have been wanting to try this place for sometime but hesitant after reading some reviews...great food but long wait times, etc. Today, Monday, we decided to give it a try. We walked in at about 2:30 PM. There was about 5 chairs open at the Oyster Bar. "The Line" consisted of 8 people before us...all standing behind a roped off entry. A few others diners finished...within a few minutes, 6 of the line got seated. The issue here is bad managing of the seats. ONLY ONE lone gal to clean the areas. Perhaps, they do this intentionally so the cook has time to prepare the food, as everything is made to order. Anyway, we (2) were seated within 20 minutes. No long wait encountered by us. Given menus to peruse, there is also a rotating board of choices. All are given ONE roll on a small plate with your silverware. Butter on counter. Hot sauces galore in a basket for your pleasure or discomfort...as your choice may be. We ordered a dozen of clams in the half shell($18.99), and 2 pan "roasts", combo style...which is crab, lobster and shrimp in their red sauce(each $24.99). Everyone working the bar was friendly and busy. Clams came out in about 10 minutes, served on a plate of ice, with lemon and a combo of horseradish and cocktail sauce in one tiny cup. Should have been served separate as the horseradish was SUPER strong. The clams were good, cold, much juice...but living on the East Coast for most of our adult lives...we have had MUCH better. The pan roasts arrived and the portion is very large, served with rice on the side. 2 can easily split the 1 entrée. It was tasty with a shrimp overload. The crab & lobster were really no where to be seen, just shredded into the broth. MUCH red and green peppers in it. We had much left so they provide containers to take away. Our bill was about $75.00 before tip. They accept cc. All in all, we are glad we tried it but once is enough for us. Would I wait HOURS to eat here? Never. And, whether that is a hype or reality...I don't know. We found it odd that we were seated so quickly when the reviews mention hour+ waits. It's not a place to really enjoy the atmosphere...about 18 seats at a counter. It's a eat and leave place but the prices are indulgent in price. Tasty food but not great food. We believe there is much better in our great city. Proud to call Las Vegas HOME.

Stop looking! This has best oysters ever!

By Samuelstravelwr |

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life! Fresh! Cheerful atmosphere. Service was outstanding. Well worth the wait. Bring a partner and just share time in line. One of you can gamble while the other holds your spot in line. I had a seafood broth and it was to die for. I ate so much that I needed a nap afterwards but instead I took a 5 Hour Energy and went back to the gambling. Definitely best seafood and oysters! Can’t wait to go back!

Great Food, worth the wait.

By Napoleon M |

The place is open 24 hours. Went there after 3 in the morning and there was a line. Waited about 30 minutes and it was definitely worth the wait. We had the dozen oysters and the combo pan roast. Both were very tasty and fresh. The staff are very friendly and the food is great and reasonably priced. The only bad point is there is only about 20 seats so the wait can be longer. Can't wait to go back.

No disappointments here

By Tropheus guy |

It delivered the goods. Got stuffed but had to run to catch a show. Waited thirty mins at 130 pm on Tuesday afternoon. Had the lobster pan roast crab gumbo oysters and the chowder. Too much for us two. Sad to leave the leftovers cause it was gonna sit in the car a while. Sobbbbing. Liv d to watch them cook in front of you and clean up too.

Go hungry

By vkohoutjr |

If you like seafood or some creole food this is the place to go. But be warned like the name says it’s a small bar with maybe 16 or 18 seats. So if you go be prepared to wait for a seat cause that’s how popular it is. Wife started out with a shrimp cocktail that had six large shrimp on it and I had the steamed New Zealand mussels which were huge. For the entree wife got the combo pan roast, which is a creamy tomato stew with shrimp, crab and lobster in it. It was like 3 cups of seafood stew in a big bowl. I got the seafood jambalaya and again a huge portion of probably the best jambalaya I’ve ever had. Both of us couldn’t finish the meal so we were able to take home dinner for the next night. So with 2 glasses of wine and 2 shots of Don Julio tequila the bill was around $120.

Great Seafood

By LVOldTimer |

A great place to enjoy the best in seafood and in Southern style if requested. Oysters are outstanding and all of the steaming pots can't be beat. Generally eat there once a week at a minimum. Unfortunately the wife doesn't like the type of food so it is a solo venture.

Amazing Pan Roast

By Dayle K |

Our tour guide that morning recommended the Oyster Bar at Palace Station as the one restaurant he would go to if he was in Las Vegas for a day and are we glad we took his recommendation! The wait in line was 30-40m but well worth it. Grab a beer or a drink (or 2 or 3...) catch up on your day as you wait in line and then you will be seated to the most delicious pan roast you have ever eaten. One other thing...you can choose your spiciness of your dish. This is a must if you are in Las Vegas.

it’s okay

By ri0 |

not as good as the first time i’ve tried it sauce bit watery and maybe because they added celery and the oyster disappointed me, the dirt’s in the meat (or whatever they call it) and they’re small like what i’ve said it’s not as good the first time i’ve tried it. there’s always a 30-45mins wait and can’t cater with kids because it’s in casino floor. now if you want to try it and you have kids i suggest you go to santa fe casino in which they open i can’t remember if it’s 4pm or 5pm

I have been a diner at Oyster Bar since 2015. Have recommended it over the years to many. I had dinner last night with my fiance and was terribly disappointed. There is always a very long line to wait for a barstool. We went about midnite so the wait was only about 30 minutes. Because it was late they were out of alot of items. No crab, oysters were very very small and we got the last 2 lobster tails. We ordered the Seafood jackpot about $55. 2 lobster tails, 6 oysters on the half shell, 6 mussels and 6 shrimp served on bed of crushed ice. Oysters were so small and were shucked poorly so we had crunchy particles in our mouths. Lobster was overcooked and had no flavor which made me ask for garlic butter to dip it in. Will not ever order this again. The New England clam chowder was great. When you stand in line for as long as you do to get a seat the food better be awesome. It wasn't. We were very disappointed.

Best Seafood in Town

By Donna L |

This is the best place for fresh seafood. You may have to wait for awhile but the wait is well worth it. We ordered the crab lobster pan roast. OMG you talk about flavor this place has the flavor and taste. We also ordered a dozen of the oyster on the half shell. The oysters are very tasty and sweet plus they are nice and plump. What makes this place unique is that you sit at a bar and whatever you ordered is prepared in front of you. All ingredients used are fresh and packed in ice. There are other pan roast dishes you can order and other seafood dishes. There is a board with their menu to look at while you wait. They have a variety of beer you can order with your meal. Great eating experience and adventure.

Delicious food - Fun atmosphere

By DiamondJim21 |

I went to this restaurant for the first time in March 2018. The food was very good. I had the Combo Pan Roast and it was delicious - very flavorful. I also had the New England Clam Chowder, which was good, but the Manhattan Clam Chowder looked much better. Another person in our party got the Manhattan clam chowder and said it was great. We had to wait in line, but that is really part of the experience for this place. You get the chance to talk to others in line and speculate on when you will be seated. It actually was fun. The place is tiny, only about 25 seats or so, so you will probably have to wait unless you go at breakfast time. I walked by there a couple of times about 9 or 10 in the morning and there was no wait. The place is not cheap. My pan roast was $24.99 and the bowl of clam chowder was $8.99, but it was alot of food. I will definitely go back.

Poor Service

By rpetty041996 |

The food was good, but the service was terrible. Slow on getting us drinks and waiter never came back to see if we needed anything.

Amaaaaazing seafood dishes

By Fif L |

Really fresh oyster for $1 each. We tried the top 3 dishes, seafood Gumbo, seafood pan roast and seafood bouillabaisse!!!! Amazing!!!!! Huge portion, delicious and fresh seafood ingredient, great value for money! The only downside is that seats are limited and queues are long. But definitely worth the wait!

Oysters and Combo Pan Roast

By nic_leon2005 |

My wife and I waited about two hours to get seats at The Oyster Bar after hearing such high praises about the food. We had Oysters and the Combo Pan Roast. The oysters were good: large and meaty and paired well with the bar’s cocktail and horseradish sauce. The Combo Pan Roast is the bar’s specialty; this is a rich creamy flavorful stew filled with fresh and tender shrimp, crab, and lobster. The optional spiciness of the stew makes the dish even better. Overall, good food but I probably wouldn’t wait 2 hours for a seat.

Oyster Bar at Harrah's

By dlhgold |

Excellent lunch/dinner there for the price with excellent service. I have been going there a few times in the past years and have always had a good experience. They treat all the customers well.

Always great!!

By Tara W |

We eat here every time we are in town. We always get the pan roast, delicious. Usually the combination with shrimp, crab and lobster. You can order from 0-10 spiciness. I usually get the 7 (unfortunately on this trip the chef didn't really know what a 7 was, at first I though he just saw me and decided a couldn't handle it but the guy next to me had the same experience. We both felt the 7 was more of a 3, my husband probably could have handled it. Highly recommend this place, no other oyster bar comes close (and there are many others in Vegas) but, prepare to wait. Usually at least 30 minute wait as it only seats about 18 ppl. Could be why it's so much better, most others have additional seating that is not at the kitbar.

A long wait that is totally worth it

By pentangle |

Incredible oyster and seafood bar in land-locked Vegas. Excellent tastes and excellent service. The wine selection was good but I was not too impressed with the choice of draft beer. A minor drawback. I would eat there again in a heartbeat.

Be prepared for a wait... and for it to be worth it!

By freshnotfrozen |

I came here on a Sunday evening, and waited for a total of about two hours in line. You cannot get around waiting here; if you want Oyster Bar, you have to wait however long it takes. That's it. Given the quality of the food, it's unsurprising that this place is lined right up on a regular basis... and that most of the people in line are locals. As someone with heritage from both Boston and Nova Scotia, I've got genetics that appreciate good seafood, and I can tell you from both the clams and the combo pan roast, this is some high-quality product, prepared with some serious heart and soul. It's even better that you get to see the chef make the food right in front of you. That lends itself well to an immersive experience overall... right along with a lovely aroma of freshly prepared seafood while you're sitting at the bar. Admittedly, the wait is inconvenient, so I can't say that I would do this every trip to Vegas. But the food is very impressive, and I would be most pleased to get to have it again.

BEST OYSTER BAR ON THE STRIP!

By babya71 |

I love this oyster bar, they have the best seafood around, its always fresh and the grilled oysters and the king crab legs are to die for, and if your not a seafood lover they have steaks as well as a couple chicken dishes and some other non seafood items, this place gets busy, they have bar seating or table service, Matt p. is always my server, he works nights, I request him everytime, he is so helpful , and professional, and very friendly and will always steer you in the right direction on recommendations for your food and wine, its a must eat place if you visit vegas.

Fresh seafood, excellent service.

By michelem32 |

We were warmly greeted by Trent as we were seated at the oyster bar. He explained the menu very well and offered suggestions. I started with the New England clam chowder which was served with delicious warm bread. My husband had a dozen of the premium oysters. They were expertly shucked and tasted fresh and briny. Next we shared the crab Louis salad which was served in a deconstructed manner. It had plenty of hand picked crab (with no shells), avocado, tomatoes and Louis dressing as we ate, Trent offered suggestions of things to do while in town and told us that he had been working for Harrahs for 27 years. I was definitely impressed with both the food and service and we would eat there again.

Ate here while on business

By Nailcutter |

Finally ate here after coming so many times and not wanting to wait in line. This place is busy 24/7 and is located in the Palace Station hotel a local casino. Only about 24 seats around a bar and people wait up to 5 hours to eat here. Over the years this place has become legendary. Food is fresh and excellent no matter what you get. Beware of the spices. If you do not like spicy food ask for a 1 out of 10. But this is worth the visit!

Long lines and locals and tourists love this place

By D L |

I thought the prices were a bit expensive with dishes generally being around $25.00, but then I noticed that people shared the large bowls and that would be $12.50 per person. The seafood is fresh but I guess it's the special seasoning type sauces people like the most. A number of locals order out. There are not many seats but people don't seem to mind standing in line. I asked if it was really that good and the response was yes. I ordered something less expensive which are the $1 oysters which are offered up to 10am. A lot of the customers seemed to know the cook and waiter and manager. The cook cooks in front of you.

Be Patient, your time will come.

By Y'z P |

Waited 2 hours in line for this brilliant dinner. it worths the wait. we have ordered 1 dozen of oysters and a mixed seafood platter. Which we have found the clams are way more delicious than the oysters here. The clam chowder was so rich and YUM! and the GUMBO is a must if you are planning to visit this place. Highly recommended to visit this place for max. of 4 persons. cos otherwise you have to wait till the sunrise for your seats. Patience is in need for waiting for this 18 seats bar!

Casual Atmosphere Good Seafood

Raw oysters were excellent. I had Scottish salmon - well done. Oysters Rockefeller were undercooked - not good.

Best food I've ever had EVER!!!

By Marit K |

The whole experience was just a blast! From standing in the line to the last delicious bite! Fun times! The food was the best I've had in my life. I had the Lobster Pan Roast and it was just so good. I can't say enough good things. I'm headed back in a week and am going there first!!

early dinner

Oh my goodness - fresh oysters and clams and the seafood based soup was tasty. The service was great and sitting up in the bar gave you insight to the orchestra of your meal prepared.

Great fresh oyster dishes

The Oyster Bar is one of my favorite dining spots in Las Vegas. The on the half shell oysters are fresh and the oyster stew is great.

Love this restaurant

By macmomWyoming |

We make a stop at Harrah Oyster Bar a must each visit. Food is wonderful, doesn’t matter what you choose it is delicious. Love the clam chowder. Servers/chiefs are fun and amazing to watch.

Another great meal!

By Sandie K |

We lucked out with a less than 30 minute wait to sit but we waited about 35 minutes after ordering to get our meal but it was worth it. The peel and eat shrimp are so perfectly delicious! We also had the combo pan roast which was heaven in a bowl. Even their rice is perfect! I have no complaints about the time it takes because they cook to order so you know it’s fresh. The staff are friendly too, which helps. Always a winner, and it will keep you full all day.

Best Pan Roast!

By 702Rob |

Well worth a wait in line..... The pan roast is made to order.. always give you enough shrimp, lobster and crab meat in an order.. Also Steve, Jill, Nora and Heather are an amazing staff.. so friendly! All the chefs are do an amazing job! open 24/7 always busy!

Great oysters, Good entree, 2 hour wait was unnecessary

By JTip60 |

The gulf coast oysters are big, plump and flavorful and the combination pan roast was good though I expected a bit more complexity to the dish given the prior reviews. The 2 hour wait was unnecessary for a couple of reasons: 1) waiting line needs to be managed better - a party of 5 waiting for 5 seats together at an 18 seat bar configuration is unrealistic, this situation added at least 20 minutes to the wait; and 2) schedule someone to buss during the evening rush, you can turn the tables at least 2 more times with prompt cleaning.

Wouldn’t say it’s worth a 2 hour wait.

By Jessica |

I've heard wonderful things about this bar from all of my friends and they've mentioned that the 2 hour wait is worth it. I waited about 2 hours on a Tuesday night. After being seated, I was very excited to try the dishes. Even though it's about $25 dollars for a bowl, the portion is huge! I wish I've done more research because the three of us each ordered a dish, along with oysters and clam chowder. The oysters were very fresh, considering I can't stand the taste of them. I actually thought this was not bad and it didn't have that strong seafood taste. The seafood pan roast had a lot of crab and plentiful seafood. The flavor was good but maybe it's just me and my group, we found that it was way too salty for our taste. After a couple of bites, I was pretty much done. I must say though, the servers are very kind and helpful. This really helps when you've been waiting for 2 hours. I think if I didn't have to wait 2 hours, maybe I would've liked it better. But 2 hours did not feel worth it to me and also because I don't have that much sodium in my food. Just my take on this place, but considering that so many people enjoy the food here, you just might too.

Fantastic

By Brent |

We eat here once or twice every visit to vegas and palace station. What a gem. Wish they had more seats!!! Love the spice.

Great Fish Foods

By Mara D |

We have been coming to this oyster bar for 20 years when the pan roasts actually had the oysters in them Still my favorite is the pan roast. Love to sip on a wine and watch the chef prepare it and smell it. You had to wait in line 20 years ago and still have to wait today. Average wait 2 hours. The place is open 24/7. Has excellent seafood dishes so is well worth the wait. Raw oysters served continually too. Everyone seems delighted with them meals. Wait service is good when you are finally in the bar chair to enjoy your meal.

Food was good, the service not so much

By PopUpShop |

Note: I was a solo diner here and pretty much ‘invisible’! Two gals seated after me got their orders taken before mine. Plus they got rolls & drinks before I did. I called the Server out on that. He apologized & said he’d make sure my order got put in before theirs. I had to ask for every little thing. Dinner rolls on a plate & silverware we’re automatically brought to people seated at the same time & after me. See my photos of two brought to the people who sat down next to me within a couple of minutes of their arrival. My food showed up first - with just a big spoon. Gee, a fork would be really nice! The cook got me that. I had to ASK for rolls. Those were brought. Oh, Oh. No knife to use to put butter on the rolls. Can I PLEASE have a knife?! My server brought me that. The food was excellent- they didn’t stint on the amount of seafood. People stand in line and wait to be ‘invited’ to eat at the bar - sometimes and hour+. It’s open 24 hours. The food is cooked right in front of everyone. Pretty sure if I’d had my husband in tow, our/my service experience likely would have been better. Solo diners tend to ignored by many establishments.

Fantastic food, get the Pan Roast!

By Beth C |

A local referred us to the Oyster Bar and did not steer us wrong. I got the Pan Roast, which is a seafood bisque-type of stew. Loads of shrimp, chicken, and andouille sausage in a silky, yummy broth. My husband got the ciopino and LOVED it. Service is great, but if you go around mealtimes there will be a wait. We went at 10:30 am an only waited about 30 minutes. Open 24 hrs. We will definitely make this a regular stop when we are in Las Vegas.

Love this place

By Bob B |

The Oyster Bar is a small restaurant in the casino. Water falls surround you while you are dinning in a pleasant atmosphere. The food is simple but fantastic. Great soups, salads, raw bar, seafood stews and more. The casino at Sunset Station is impressive for being an off (way off) strip location. Many of the Station Hotels have similar restaurants to this but I find this one the best. Second would be Palace Station: good food there but no atmosphere.

Just a local SJ guy

By Glenn T |

Small oyster bar (12-14 seats). Had to wait about an hour standing in line (no seats). However, it was well worth the wait. Friendly service. I ordered the combo pan roast with steamed rice and added sausage (#2 on the spice scale)....awsome!! I highly recommend this place.

Not cheap long waits and worth it!

By TLP |

I would eat much more often if it not for the tremendous long waits and limited seating. You actually eat at a bar so the seating also is not comfortable. The food is made to order and does take some time to make. Overall this is an event place you have to plan your day around due to the logistics. Many times I just don't have the time, energy or I am that hungry that I just can't wait 1-3hrs to get eat. If you are lucky though, the criollo food is very very good . Pan roast and Alaskan cloud chowder with everything are my favorite!

Really sit at the bar with only 18 seats!

By itcheetam |

You had to wait in line, we waited 20 minutes and it was supposed to be lucky. People waited close to an hour. Don't go there if you had a group or a bigger party, they could not accommodate you. The seafood was fresh and bountiful. We had the gumbo, jambalaya, BBQ shrimp and chowder. The portion was huge and definitely enough left over for another meal. But they were a bit salty for our taste. Need to go with rice. They cooked in a steamer one order at a time.

off the wall breakfast

By Beard66 |

90% of the time a line. Well worth the wait if you have the time. Not good if you're a large group wanting to eat together. Planned on eating at buffet for breakfast but saw available seating and thought "why not" Pan roast with shrimp outstanding. Wife had Shrimp scampi bowl. Rolls a little stale. Service Good, friendly. Love having the chef right in front of you cooking while you eat. Makes for great dinner conversation. A can't miss while in Vegas.

BEST Oysters EVER!!!

By Miya B |

Line was about 30 mins long but you are surrounded by slots so that helps time pass. Cocktails were good and strong. Oysters were so so so good! We ordered 3 dozen (for 2 people) and my Husband also had an entree. We've tried 3 different oyster bars here in the bay area, not even close to our Palace Station oyster bar experience.

Worth the wait

By Lisa K |

Had the barbeque Cajun shrimp, shrimp scampi, and seafood pan roast. Everything was awesome! Bar side seating made everything more interesting.

Oysters and Gumbo YUM

By Alfred B |

Always go to the oyster bar when in Vegas. This was the best so far. The oyster were to die for. Went in the morning for the special and ordered 1/2 dozen oysters. It was so good we ordered 1/2 dozen more while waiting for our gumbo. Go there when Ricardo is making the gumbo. He fills the bowel to the brim and is a funny guy. When it got slow he talked to us about making other types of dishes. Would definitely go back when he’s there.

YUM!

They always have such fresh seafood! And they never disappoint! Also everyone that works there is so, so friendly! A must!

A must

Best restaurant for food, price, and service. Never disappointed. Long lines but worth the wait. Are going to move locations in the Hotel and I hope they expand the seating.

Great Seafood!

The Oyster Bar is our go to seafood spot in Vegas! You gotta order the clam chowder and the pan roast! Line can get long, but well worth the wait!

Not what we’ve been searching for

By TNT |

My husband and I tried a dish here a few years ago that was absolutely incredible, but can’t remember what it was! We’ve tried 3 times since then to find it, but have struck out all 3 times! Last night we split the combo pan roast, and while we agreed it was perfectly fine, it was not what we’ve been searching for. We will continue to return and try other dishes until we find that amazing one! We agreed The combo pan was perfectly edible, but completely forgettable. Amazing amount of food for the price: $25 for rice, bread and the pan roast. We split it and still had a small meals worth in leftovers.

Worth the Wait!!!

By Coco1957 |

When they say oyster bar they mean it. It is literally a bar surrounding a small cooking area. There were maybe 25 seats. Everything looked so good that we had a hard time choosing. It was fun to watch the cooking process and even the clean up. The servers were friendly and very prompt. Beer was icy cold. Our meals were fantastic. One of the best I've every had.

Soooooo worth the wait in line!!!!

By Shawna D |

OMG I NEVER thought I would wait in line for 3hrs for food but HOLY COW was it worth it!! Now mind you it was NYE weekend and they say that most holidays the wait can be a minimum of 3hrs! If you go, do it early and on a weekday... I LOVE clam chowder and try it everywhere I go but the Oyster Bar at Palace Station was HANDS DOWN THE BEST CHOWDER TO DATE!!! I also had their Shrimp Scampi Linguine and OMG - Chef Eze is amazing and a character when you get him going :) The whole staff there was amazing and we got to know so many folks in line it made it all worth while!!!! Would definitely do it again!!!

The only good thing about Palace Station

By George H C |

This place is great and is truly the only good thing about Palace Station. The food is to "die for" and the people are great, especially Mr. D. Brown.

Long wait, very worthwhile experience.

By Timothy C |

We arrived at the Oyster Bar and were shocked to see that it only had 18-20 seats circled around a central cooking area. Our wait was 90 minutes and we were told that the line was about half the normal length. Finally we were seated and it was still a while before we got our food. My original intention was to order the Bouillabaisse. Other diners talked us into ordering the pan roast. We chose the combination shrimp, lobster and crab roast. In front of us the chef had a variety of steam powered pots. Various ingredients were added and allowed to cook, then the pots flipped over and deposited the seafood soup onto a bowl with a ball of rice. All the diners seemed to be having a good time and the food was over the top tasty. If in Vegas you have to experience the Oyster Bar. Apparently all the Station Casinos have an Oyster Bar. I’m not sure they can beat this particular location.

Best food in town

By Afsoon72 |

If you are in Vegas, stop at Palace Station and try this food. It will not disappoint. It is open 24 hours, you have to be 21 and older because it’s inside the casino, it has bar style seating, and usually about a one or two hour wait. We went at 9 AM, and there was no wait. There are only about 20 seats.

Birthday Dinner 07/11/2018

By Paula R |

Second year I have spent Birthday Dinner here. Always Delicious. A must when we are in Las Vegas. Food is always top notch. Staff always pleasant even though they are working so hard. Lines usually long, but worth the wait. We usually get the Palace Pan Roast and share it. We will be back next trip to Las Vegas ! Tip-You have to be 21 years old to dine here. Children are not allowed to sit at the dining area. Also if you want take out you still have to stand in the long line. Highly Recommend this place !

Destination Restaurant

By Rick S |

If any restaurant deserve to be "world famous" this is it. There is a reason there is a waiting line almost 24 hours a day. Counter service only but that's OK, because watching Bob and Robert, the chefs work is like watching a ballet. The food is as good as any in New Orleans. The portions are huge, so come hungry.

Finally!!!!

I have heard a lot about this little restaurant, open 24 hours, in the palace station. It only seats 20 people around the preparation area. I have always wanted to go but there was always a long line up. The best day is Wednesday when the lineup is shorter and the worst day is Saturday. Regardless of the lineup, you will not be disappointed. I was very lucky and only waited 20 minutes though sometimes the wait can be over two hours. It is definitely worth the wait. The delicious food is prepared in front of you in Swivelling pots. You can choose one of seven spice levels. The menu choices are very good considering how small the place is. What a wonderful treat!

Slow service

By GoobsDad |

We didn't have time to stay for a full dinner, and barely had time for a drink with as slow as the service was. We didn't have oysters this time (although they've been good in the past), but the martinis were well made.

So good

Went here with my friends last night. The wait was extremely long as there is very limited seating. The food was worth the wait. I had the steamed clams and the combo pan roast. Both were absolutely amazingly good and tasty. I will definitely go back again.

Great seafood!

By Crystalvegas |

The wait can be long as there are only 20-25 seats, but the food is really good. I’ve had 4 or 5 different items off the menu from pasta with shrimp to their combination seafood bowls.....excellent. Since I’m local, I usually go once a month.

OYSTERS!!!!

My husband just loves oysters, the restaurant is very good. Since we have been going menu has changed and is pricey.

A must go

We couldn't wait to find an oyster bar with a great pan roast. Well we found it. Great service great food. Not many seats but worth the wait in line. From what is hear they always have some kind of line but it is worth it

Lots and Lots of oysters

By dakota m |

The food was worth waiting in line. There is often a line after 2:00 p.m. until late at night. Some of the dishes are prepared at right in front of you in large pots. Very interesting set up at the counter which accommodates about 15 people. There are several items on the menu.

Heavenly......

All you need to know is that we ate here TWICE in the 4 days we were in Vegas. With all the options to choose from, why would we repeat a restaurant? Because It's that good. Things you should know: there's always a wait. Doesn't matter if it's 5am or 11pm or anything in between. If you happen to roll in as a single, you might get lucky, but we waited about 1 hour and 10 min. We've been here 3 times before, and I've only ever ordered 1 thing. If it ain't broke, let's not fix it, so I order the same thing again. Bouill-Roast. It's a mix between a bouillabaisse and a pan roast. It has almost every seafood you can think of--lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, and fish. It's a great item to get if you don't know what you want because it has so many different types of seafood. I'll even add some sausage to kick it up another notch. For my 2nd time here I changed it up and got some oysters to start and a pan roast with just lobster (and added sausage again). This place is open 24 hours and located inside the Palace Station casino, which is also awesome. If you try this place and don't like it, you probably did a something wrong.

I hate saying this.....

.....but they’re not really competent running this place. We’ve been big fans of a similar style restaurant in California named Ritters, so we decided to try this spot. The line is extraordinarily long, due to it not being an actual restaurant, but a counter with about 16-18 seats, that’s all. They seat in order, strictly, so we waited for a long time, and in front of us was a group of 7 and another of 4. When the group of 7 was finally seated, they allowed them to sneak in 2 more people, effectively giving away my 2 seats. When we ordered, they gave our order to another couple who arrived and were seated after us, claiming it was identical order. The 2 couples in line behind us were served and paid their check before we even finished. They gave us a 20% discount, but too much damage had been done. Would never return - this is no 2 hour wait sort of place.

Good but not outstanding

Location: for those of you, who stay at nice casinos at the strip- the place is super average, located right in the middle of a pretty cheap casino so be prepared to smell cigarettes :) Venue: you sit at the bar in the middle of that casino and there are no other sitting places. Be prepared to wait in the queue with some drunk guests or lucky winners from the casino Food: very good! We enjoyed fresh oysters and jambalaya, the rest was pretty average Overall result: we didn’t know if we should give 3* or 4* but jambalaya made the difference but the plece is never ever a 5* and is far too high in the ranking in our PoV

When in Las Vegas

Oyster Rockefeller is old school but my favorite. They used to have 1/2 price appetizers but not the last time I was there . The lobster bisk and clam chowder were amazing.

Heard about it, had to check it out.

Heard alot about this place had to check it out. Always a line no matter what time you show up. Seats about 20 at the bar. Clam chowder was very good. Gumbo was pretty good not enough heat/kick, requested level 7 could not detect the kick. Servers and cook were very personable.

THIS PLACE!!!

I am still amazed at how good the food is, in fact I am trying to figure out when I can book a trip to go back. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and waited about and hour and a half, which wasn't bad because you get to know the other patrons in line and end up talking and before you know it you are being seated. This is truly bar style seating there are roughly 20 seats if that, but it is truly worth it and I like that even with limited seating they make sure you sit with your party. They keep the bar area clean which is another thing that I like. Now for the food which they prepare in front of you it is DELICIOUS I started with a order or lump crab cocktail...good, then I had a bowl of New England clam chowder....good now for the main dish.... I had the combo pan roast and it is the best. I cannot tell you how good everything was. This place is worth a wait in long lines you will not be disappointed.

Great!

We loved eating here the food was fantastic and it did not take them long to bring it out. One of the better places to eat in Vegas.

Had food POISONING after eating their oysters

By AWJ99 |

My wife and I ate there last week on Thursday. We both woke up with really bad food poisoning. I recovered much quicker than my wife but she was unable to move all of her muscles and fainted twice in the shower (which could have been fatal). This was very unfortunate as we were meant to celebrate our 10th year anniversary in Vegas on that same day and The Oyster Bar ruined it. I also want to mention that they had 1 person taking orders and was running around trying to do everything at once while maintaining professional standards, he was amazing and we tipped him well. But this reminded me of the slavery days that I see in movies. AVOID the place at all costs unless you want to spend the next day in bed during your Vegas trip

Really good!

By jimkent3 |

Doesn’t matter what you order, it will be delicious. The soup or bisque is even good when it’s cold. The place is small and a bit too far a walk from the sls monorail station so it’s a tad out of the way but well worth it. Get their early so you won’t have to wait long.

Best Osyter Bar in Las Vegas!

By ergo0813 |

I lived in Las Vegas for year and a half and one of my favorite places to eat is this one. The seafood is fresh and perfectly cooked. The bouillabaisse is the best! You can order it very spicy or mild. We always order it 7/8 so it is very spicy/hot. Just keep in mind that you will have to wait for a little while because there are only 20 seats in the counter. It is worth the wait and my wife uses that time to keep playing slots and winning! Enjoy it!

House Gumbo Is Oh So Delicious

By sfbebe |

I flew to Vegas on a Saturday morning and was picked up by my girlfriends. We drove straight to the Oyster Bar and arrived at 8:00 a.m. There were only 2 seats opened so we opted to wait. After approximately a 20 minute wait, we were seated. I ordered the House Gumbo which has lobster, shrimp and crab. It was interesting to watch the chef prepare the dish right before my eyes. During my order I was asked how hot did I want my dish. I’m not a spicy person so I chose 0. The higher the number the hotter/spicer the dish will be. My girlfriend told me the last time they visited the Oyster Bar a guy order his spice at 100 and had to be taken to his room in a wheelchair. The dish was absolutely delicious and the prep time was quick. I’ll definitely return to the Oyster Bar. Be prepared to wait during busy times. The restaurant is open 24 hours.

Meh

I dont get the popularity of this place. Its just ok (frozen) seafood boiled in steam kettles with prepared soup bases. Mine was underseasoned and overcooked. Meh. Blah. Yuck.

Full service seafood bar

By spike415 |

I went for the oysters but I think the gumbos were the way to go. The sign said $1 oysters (but that was between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM! A little early!

worth waiting for

By JVanderhoof |

had to stand in line, maybe half an hour, to be seated at 25 seat bar oysters were fresh, clams were great---clam chowder was good service-hard to beat will do it again

Oysters for breakfast!

By Christiana A |

My buddy loves oysters so being early risers on east cost time we decided to try The Oyster Bar located within the Casino at The Palace Station Hotel and Casino. We arrived 5am local time and were fortunate to have Annette who was quite amiable and chatted about local sightseeing options. We shared a dozen oysters and a spicy bowl of delicious gumbo. Needless to say for the next 3 days we were there around the same time with excellent service from Ricardo. The bouillabaisse was also exceptional. We liked sitting by the bar and seeing the food prepared. The staff were very patient answering our questions about the food and area etc. we were told that we came at the ideal time as the place is usually very busy. Highly recommend this place if you have a hankering for oysters while in Vegas.
