Lovely, leisurely service. Charcuterie & cheese board was highlight of the meal. Very creative. Staff spoiled us with special dessert presentation. And the Concierge Philip Powell is a legend.... OVER THE TOP service & attention. Huge wow factor.

The chef and staff went to so much trouble for us in making everything perfect for our anniversary. I could never thank them enough. The food is amazing and the fun part of it is that there is a garden for the restaurant on the terrace level where they get much of their specialty flavors.

My husband and I had Easter brunch at Pyramid and really enjoyed it! The selections were plentiful and interesting, not just standard ho-hum brunch fare. Our server was very friendly, the atmosphere was nice. We would definitely dine here again!

This restaurant is inside the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, Texas. We stayed in the hotel for two nights, while attending the Dallas Opera Company production of Tosca. There are few dining options in the Arts District for less than around forty dollars per plate in the area, so we chose to take our dinner meals in the Pyramid Restaurant, and when we booked the room, we included the breakfast package. All in all, it was exceptional. The food was as one would expect in a restaurant of this caliber, but what sets it apart is customer service. Unlike the hotel itself, the restaurant staff knows and understands customer service. A few names come to mind, (and one doesn't - the maître di from India), Tony, Elvira, and their support crew, in the morning, and Paulina in the evening. Although she was the only one on duty on the evening of October 15th, she moved with the speed and confidence of someone who knew and enjoyed her job. These are fine people, and they bring credit to the restaurant they serve.

I've had two excellent meals at the Pyramid, service is quick and efficient and you're called by name. I can highly recommend the beef filet, just lovely. I'll be back before heading back to Australia, and I trust Fairmont management will invest in better lighting as, whilst it's a lovely comfortable environment, being unable to read the menu as there was no light above my table, whilst romantic, wasn't appreciated and my comments that "I can't read the menu" went unheeded, fortunately I knew what I wanted. Well done all, I look forward to returning with my partner next trip.

I'm vegetarian and they had a mushroom pasta that was delicious! There's also a kids menu if you are traveling with some!

I was just about ready to order the lobster roll..........then saw chicken and waffles on the menu...........the chicken with a light batter was fried perfectly and the chicken gravy was just right.........the little bread basket before the lunch was also really nice. My wife had the bloody mary, which at $8, I think, was quite reasonable for such a nice place as the Pyramid. I'm planning to return anytime I'm in downtown Dallas around lunch time. all of the staff also very friendly and polite.........

We went as a big group for Saturday brunch. Servers were a bit slow with coffee and OJ but both were flavorful. Lots and lots of fresh fruits and breads/pastries. Hot buffet was a bit lacking for me. Scrambled eggs overscrambled so they were tiny pieces and it was a bit of a letdown for carnivores...only bacon. The biggest letdown was NO GRITS!!! Lovely restaurant. Convenient to hotel guests.

Friendly staff Jackeline at front desk very nice Breakfast buffet small but good A la carte very good avocado

Recommend, Jonathan Bona is a great manager, food is fine. Lovely ambiance, and available for groups.

Wide variety of choices-I had a Cajun omelet with veggies, ham and grilled shrimp that may be the best omelet I've had. My wife had traditional eggs benedict. They prepared some potato bites that were outstanding and light. Attentive, friendly service in an elegant setting.

We have had several meals at this restaurant. First the breakfast buffet is outstanding. Excellent. Wonderful. Quiet, which is what I appreciate to start the day. The wait staff are appropriately intrusive. The orange juice was quietly refilled a couple of times. The food choice was very nice, and attractively presented. Breakfast fortwo was a little over $50.00 Have had several dinner meals, both in the restaurant, and also in the bar. Again, service is very very good. Food was good, but did not quite measure up. For instance I had chicken and dumplings. It was presented on a dinner plate. The dumplings were the size of a lima bean. They were quite good, and there were an appropriate amount. The chicken had a very tasty seared skin. The meat itself was well dried out. Although hungry I did not finish the chicken. The only parking is the hotel valet parking

The staff was great and the food was delicious. We came in for a wedding and the staff was great to work with and put us in our own room, which was very fun. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious brunch. The menu food is excellent, the buffet is standard buffet fare, and the servers are very helpful when it comes to food allergies. Our server, Wilber, answered a myriad of questions with patient and a surprising depth of knowledge.

I don't expect a whole lot other than high prices from a hotel bar/restaurant. However just when I thought I had seen the worst of the worst I went here. The waitress acted like she couldn't be bothered to refill drinks, bring more water or clear empty glasses. The food was ok, well for half of the party. The other half, it was barely better than has station quality.

Couldn't finish my perfectly grilled salmon Caesar salad! My friend got the wings at happy hour and they were just as good.

Had dinner on Saturday night. Had a 6 PM reservation and arrived 5:50. The host said they were not quite ready for us even though all tables were empty and he could not seat us so we would have to wait. We told him we would sit a a close table and wait to be seated. He forgot all about us until a manager came by at 6:15 and asked if we were being helped. He got someone to seat us. The waiter service was very good and the food was good. The pork was good but very fatty. The sides were exceptionally small considering we ordered sides for the entire table of four. We sat for almost two hours and only 2 tables were filled.

Went to a Press Preview Dinner last night at the Pyramid Restaurant in the Downtown Dallas Fairmont Hotel. New Chef de Cuisine Brandon Drew has a good thing going. Very creative menus featuring lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Chef Drew has developed a garden on the hotel roof. Even had honey from the bee hives he keeps up there. The Pyramid Room has been at the Fairmont for a long time. But we would not have thought of it as a destination dining spot until now. Welcome Chef Drew!

Had breakfast with my coworker on our way back out to leave for the day and it had every option available. As always they have great service.

Excellent dining experience. Superb service from start to finish. Love exploring new foods. Bone marrow is now checked off my list. Although I wanted to like it I sure didn't. The waiter was wonderful and credited our tab without request. That is excellent customer service. I enjoyed the gnocchi and grilled pear salad. Most definitely will dine there again.

For years the Pyramid has been a haven of gracious service, fine dining and wonderful memories. While the room has undergone disappointing downgrades to become more eclectic and hip, the service and those providing it continue to excel. Among the shining stars are Kim and Aida along with many others who ensure that every request is honored. This includes a supporting staff in the kitchen who will honor any imaginable request. In summary anyone who wants to be treated with the highest level of respect should plan a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Super service and kind staff. The food was reasonably priced and quite good. Because it was our anniversary they threw in free dessert.

We had friends invite us for Thanksgiving so nobody had to cook. We each ordered something different. The presentations looked great but you could play hockey with the items on the plate. BIG plates - little food. Had to go to Denny's to get something to fill the empty spot.

We had a business meeting at the fairmont hotel and met after at the hotel bar. The service we received from Lindsey was abound and beyond expectations. Wish there were more like her but it really made our time here better than other places we've met

One of my friend had eaten at the Pyramid restaurant pretty recently and thought it was the best steak he ever had, so we went here with high hopes. It's started out well - very nice atmosphere, good drinks. It went downhill once we ordered our food. The restaurant was only 1/2 full but for some reason the wait staff seemed overwhelmed - it was a long time between the waiter stopping by. our party ordered all steak - 3 filets and 2 strip steaks. We waited a long time for our food, probably about 40 minutes. Then they brought out 4 strip steaks and 1 filet instead of 3 filets and 2 strips. One of the guys decided to wait for his correct order - the filet, which they said would take 25 minutes bu came out in about 10. The strip steak was fine, but nothing spectacular - to their credit, the filet was really good. It's just a shame the service was really lacking. Also they did comp our bill for the trouble, which we appreciated.

Loved this restarurant, the service was great and the food delicious, Thanks Fairmont Dallas and Pyramid!

We were staying at the lovely Fairmont Hotel and saw a Travelzoo offer for brunch in its Pyramid Restaurant. I'm so glad we used this deal because brunch could not have been better! The setting is elegant yet relaxed and the hostess was so gracious that I felt as if she were welcoming us into her own home. The Bloody Mary I started with was delicious and the menu offered several creative and interesting choices. I decided on a salmon florentine Benedict which was made with house smoked salmon and farm fresh eggs served over baby spinach and crispy hash browns. The hollandaise had a hint of citrus, yum! The prices were reasonable for such an elegant treat(less than $20 for an entree). If I lived in Dallas, brunch at the Pyramid would be a regular event. I couldn't help noticing another couple who were obvious regulars being greeted by the hostess and a favorite waiter as if they were dear friends. If you are in Dallas, you should definitely go the Pyramid for a fantastic brunch!

We were in town for a wedding. We arrived early afternoon and were hungry; decided to eat at the hotel restaurant, not really expecting much. We were wrong, the service and food were both excellent. AJ, the manager, was great and pointed us to great wine on the list. I just cannot say strongly enough what a great experience it was.

Breakfast was not only delicious, but had a a great selection of items. The wings and catfish were awesome late night options!

Do yourself a favor and visit this amazing restaurant and bar in Dallas. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything I’ve tasted melted in my mouth. John makes the best cocktails in Dallas and Denis makes everyone feel at home. Highly recommend!

Just had a Five Star dining experience due to George W. Daye the 3rds amazing hospitality! After a very intense day of work, we were in desperate need of a dinner break that would refuel not only our bodies but our souls. We were extremely disappointed that the lobster roll was not offered on the dinner menu but George went above & beyond when he learned of our disappointment to make it happen. Imagine our surprise when he presented us with the most delicious lobster rolls we could imagine. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts George. These girls have happy plates, bellies & faces. You’re the BEST! ❤️

Stayed at the Fairmont for 6 days. The bar is overpriced for drinks. Example the Malbec wine is about $20/bottle retail and they charge $12/glass. The food is not good, a Reuben sandwich was gritty and the fish and chips were not great. Unless it is raining there are much better restaurants in walking distance.

Drafts $4, House wine $4, $2 pork sliders, $1 wings. The red wine was ok, but the beer was good and the food was solid. We ordered the wings dry with sauce on the side, and you could tell the wings were marinated and not left to get ahold the flavor from the sauce. They sliders were great and were on a toasted pretzel roll.

This was our first time having dinner at the Pyramid. The decorum, atmosphere and food was excellent. Miguel (282) did outstanding job of providing good customer service and the martinis's were great. We were surprised at the size of the lamb chops. (great location and good parking)

I had an early arrival and ate breakfast upon my arrival at the hotel. The staff was great and even offered a complimentary choice of newspapers to read. The food was good, but not spectacular. The prices for breakfast food was pretty reasonable, especially for a luxury hotel.

We visited as a group of 8; service was impeccable, food was wonderful, wine list first rate, and ambiance perfect for a gathering of family and friends. If you want a spot for an intimate dinner, the pyramid is the right spot.

So disappointed. This was our first visit to Pyramid and I was looking for something special for a night out. First off this is about the kitchen and host/manager, not about the service. An empty Sunday night may have been the problem, but it shouldn't be an excuse for the few of us that ventured in for dinner. My wife ordered a Filet - done Medium. This is TX. A Filet should be as staple as eggs at Denny's. Two tries and it still wasn't right. The first attempt came extremely well done. Sent it back. The second try was still fairly well done but she wasn't going to send it back a third time. I ordered Scallops and they were rubbery. The potato side on my plate had a horrible after taste and way too salty. So I finished my dinner and waited for a good 15 minutes for my wife's 2nd steak to arrive. That's not the way a fine dining experience should pan out. All in all we expected so much better. On a positive note, the service was fabulous. Miguel did everything possible to save the night and made up for the shortcomings of the kitchen and host with a nice cheese plate and a generous pour of Prosecco. I firmly believe the host could have done a lot more. He didn't visit the table until well into the food debacle and offered a mild apology. For this caliber of fine dining, you'd expect the host to be all over us. I plan to call the GM later today and get a better explanation. If so, I'll add a follow up opinion here.

Absolutely top-notch breakfast. Even the smoked salmon was as good as it gets. For luch the lobster roll was disappointing as New Englanders expect the lobster roll to have solid lobster meat, but theirs was a lobster salad with minimal lobster. Maybe that is what they do in Texas! Quality overall still excellent.

The food was pretty good and the prices were not awful compared to the competition around the area. Buffet breakfast was actually only $23. I also had dinner with 5 people and everyone was happy with their meals. I shared the 2-person 32-oz ribeye, and it was very good.

Pyramid Bar was nice! They gave a plate of freshly made potato chips. The sliders were yum! Juicy burgers. Asked for a moscato. It was just what I wanted.

I visited this restuarant by myself and did not feel uncomfortable at all. The staff were extremely well trained in fact exceptional. I ordered the Lobster roll and strawberry salad, OMG unbelieveable I did plan on returning to have this again whilst staying at the Fairmount but ran out of time. I absolutely love this restaurant and will return.

We had lunch here while in town for a convention. The service was good and the ambiance nice. The "bread" they served wasn't vegan but the olive tamponade was tasty. I had the Gemelli Funghi which was very tasty, along with just okay red wine from Texas. The bill was about $100 for two of us, which included tip. Kinda pricey for lunch.

Delightful setting for a scrumptious Sunday brunch with short but varied menu of tasty, well prepared dishes. Server was smart and properly attentive.

We stayed for a conference and didn't have much time to eat elsewhere. All of the salads are excellent - they will modify them to your liking. The burger is good. I cannot say enough about the AMAZING vegetable sides: corn creme brûlée, roasted Brussel sprouts with lime salt, charred okra with roasted tomatoes were just a few of my favorites. The spiralized squash "pasta" was too watery, but the roasted cauliflower steak was great. The pasta carbonara and the gemelli with buratta both missed the mark. They were over cooked and the sauces were just wrong. My advice - stay away from the pastas all together. There are many more interesting items on the menu. The potato puff bread is delicious and made freshly daily. The spicy bloody mary is delicious and the wine cellar is impressive. Lunch time gets very busy especially if there is a conference so get there early and Order quickly - then ask for you check right away. I want to recognize our waiter Miguel- he provided excellent service through our stay. Thank you Miguel and thank you Austin.

Had 2 breakfasts and 1 lunch here while staying at the Fairmont. All dining experiences were excellent -- breakfast has 2 buffet choices (continental or full American) as well as an a la carte menu. Continental was plentiful -- Greek yogurt, tons of fresh fruit, boiled eggs, housemade granola, oatmeal, wonderful pastries, bagels, smoked salmon, etc, as well as juice and coffee. Lunch was very tasty as well. For all meals, the service was excellent -- friendly and efficient. The wait staff were particularly accomodating to our 8-yr-old daughter, which was appreciated. Good wine list and on-tap beer selection available from the bar, along with an inventive cocktail list.

Stayed at the Fairmont for a conference. In normal conference garb (polo shirt and shorts), stopped in for a bite since conference did not include lunch. A little snooty for my taste (but hey its a four star hotel), but the food was very good. Ordered dinner room service a couple nights, and the food did not disappoint. Barely below my max per diem :)

Waltzed into this place on a Sunday afternoon. Located in The Fairmont Hotel. Easy parking, great ambiance. Service is impeccable! Kim was our waitress and stayed late to take care of us. Aida, the supervisor, was equally as nice. The food and beverages were tasty and quite fulfilling for affordable pricing. $$$-$$$$ The bar menu offers more appetizer selections than the restaurant, but you can order from either menu no matter where you sit. This is a great place for a date. Nice jazz playing, easy to get to, and wonderful decor. I'll be back!

I dined here recently for brunch and was not very impressed with the service or the food. My husband and I had dressed nicely (business casual) as stated on the website and we were quite surprised to find every table around us in shorts, tank tops, flip flops, athletic wear, etc. That brought down our "fine dining" brunch immediately. Points off for ambiance. The hostess was quite friendly and welcoming but our server was not quite up to par. We ordered peach bellinis (on the brunch menu) and he told us no less than three times that "he had to make sure the bar was open." Note - it was 1:00 p.m. Really? We ordered avocado toast for starters and it came out quickly. The bread was hard and was covered with a huge amount of mashed avocado (think guacamole) topped with shredded lettuce and peppers. Not only was it almost impossible to eat, it was rather tasteless. This was probably the most lackluster avocado toast I have ever been served (and I order it quite frequently). We had barely begun eating our appetizer when our waiter brought out our entrees. This is never acceptable and our entree order should have been delayed being put in to the kitchen. Now you decide if you continue eating your appetizer and let your main course get cold? Or do you give up the appetizer to eat your hot meal? The Buttermilk Pancakes were good but nothing special. The breakfast Pastrami Hash was okay but contained very little meat and was mostly potatoes. We were never asked about drink refills. We were never asked if our meals were okay. Overall, the price we paid and the quality of food and service we received was a big disappointment. We both left this brunch wondering what the hype is all about concerning the Pyramid Room. We certainly did not have a positive experience and could have had a better meal at our local diner - for a lot less money.

I know that the restaurants in Fairmont Hotels are always very good. This one was no exception. While it was busy, I was surprised that it wasn't packed. The food and service were top notch!

The Pyramid Restaurant made us huge fans of The Fairmont brand and we will look for The Fairmont first in anywhere we travel in the future We traveled to Dallas with our daughters, ages 8 and 6. Our 6 year old has extreme dietary needs, and is on the GAPS diet which normally requires a lot of planning on my part and negotiating with restaurants, but not at The Pyramid. I was immediately put through to Chef Leigh to discuss options on my first phone call to The Pyramid. I couldn’t believe it. Chef Leigh not only accommodated our enormous list of dietary restrictions, but he researched the diet and came up with gourmet meals for our daughter. Chef Leigh even created and emailed me his meal plan prior to our arrival which made my vacation worry free! All of us loved our meals during our stay. I was impressed at the number of organic, locally grown and gluten free items on the regular menu. The banana bread French toast was one of our breakfast favorites and my husband loved the steaks at dinner. Chef Leigh, Chef Justin and staff, thank you so much for giving us an incredible vacation.

We were impressed with the service and quality of the food. Loved the heirloom tomato appetizer and hubby had the shrimp. My chicken entree was nicely done and the scallops with asparagus wrapped in prosuittp were very good. The waitstaff was on the mark with everything.

Everything you could want to eat for breakfast and more. If its not already on the table, just ask the server to see if they will make it for you. They did for my friends and I.

Great food and staff! My co-workers and I went there for Restaurant Week; we will be back! Surprise was a great hamburger and the Greek yogurt and honey Panna Cotta.

We come here every Christmas because they always have great food and service. We had the Christmas dinner which was a menu you chose an appetizer, entree and they had a desert table you could get several deserts from. For an appetizer, I had the chestnut bisque which was lobster bisque flavored with chestnut broth. It was very good and there were good sized pieces of lobster in it. For my entree I had the prime rib and it was cooked perfectly and was very tender. The deserts left a little to be desired, they were not very sweet in my opinion. Our server Gustavo who has been there for years and has waited on us many times was excellent as always.

I was in the Fairmont for a business meeting but wanted to have a good breakfast before the meeting. The hostess and waitress were helpful and friendly. I had an excellent egg white omelet with avocado slices on top. It was very tasty. I will go again if I'm back there for another meeting

Staying at a nearby hotel and found this checking through reviews. Realized there was a 'deal' on Travelzoo for dinner so decided to try it that way. We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Warmly greeted on arrival, seated immediately and welcomed by various staff. The waiter never failed to call my husband by name - 'Mr.---' when he came to the table. Fabulous special of Bison Filet with very interesting and flavorful sides. Everything we ate was excellent. Lovely atmosphere, gracious service and one of the best dinners we've had in awhile.

Stayed at the Fairmont Hotel in March for roughly two days for work meetings. I hit the Pyramid bar several times while there (and yes, I ate as well). Service was amazing regardless of the time of day. I was there typically mid-day during breaks. Spent some time chatting with John and he was great. He interacted with several groups of people, while I was there, making everyone feel taken care of and heard! Would easily go back and / or recommend to other travelers.

Service not bad, items not bad, but pricy for breakfast. Service a little snobby until they find out your a hotel guest. Orange Juice I had began to ferment.

Tony was wonderful. We had a large family table and he was very accommodating! Definitely recommend as a wonderful breakfast !

We ate lunch and breakfast at this hotel restaurant. The prices were ok but the vegetarian selections were just ok. Our waitress was very accomodating

Not acknowledged for 10 minutes when arrived, food ok but not great. However, we were invited back at no cost, the food was much better and service great but still don't think that we would choose to go back.

We had big expectations but found a rather mundane, ordinary restaurant. The place is pretty, but why does it exist other than to serve as a hotel restaurant. 35 years ago, the Pyramid Room was a special place with cutting edge formality. Today's Pyramid restaurant is s place to eat, not much more.

I recently stayed at the Fairmot Hotel for a convention, where this restaurant is located. After 2 days I had basically eaten everything vegetarian that was offered, with 2 days left to fo. However, imthey accommodated me, allowed me to remix a few things. Service was great and staff very pleasant. The food I did eat was very good. I think a few more than 3-4 items should be available on the menu (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for vegan/vegetarian options. The Babaganoush was excellent! * not sure I spelled correctly.

We arrived for dinner and had the best experience. Chef Leigh gave us the best tasting menu, Bore Belly, Ostrich and the desserts.... Amazing! Service was impeccable and we'll worth the trip down.

Arrived late afternoon to the hotel, and this being our first trip to Dallas, we decided to dine at the hotel restaurant. The service was impeccable, from being shown to our table, to wine service to ordering our meal. The food was cooked to perfection and perfectly presented. A great start to our time in Dallas, if staying at the hotel or passing by this is a nice place to dine.

My husband and I celebrated our 15 yr wedding anniversary with a romantic stay at the beautiful and elegant Fairmont hotel .We enjoyed fine dining at the Pyramid restaurant located inside the hotel. My husband found a sweet deal for the restaurant on travelzoo. We were highly impressed with the waitstaff who made our evening very special. The service was above excellent . The food was just amazing! We dined on bass and trout both were distinctively fresh , flavorful, and cooked to perfection . We had the Tuscan almond salad and the crab cakes for an appetizer. The desserts were outstanding carrot cake and caramel tiramisu . Excellent drink choice French 77 .The waitstaff were so very attentive and courteous.

My husband likes whiskey and they had a lot of options as well as knowledge. The food was great as well as the service. We sat at the bar so everything was very prompt.

Superb food and excellent service.very attentive staff and extremely pleasant. The food was heavenly and the wine excellent. A very pleasant experience Must visit....a bit pricey but ok for a top class restaurant

As we were staying in The Fairmont, it was convenient to eat here before an opera. The place was sparsely populated but service was still not real brisk. The menu is lovely but portions are quite small. I had the wild boar belly and my wife the grilled quail. Even for appetizer portions they are a bit skimpy. Both were flavorful and well presented as were our salads, particularly the kale and beetroot. Hotel restaurants tend to be high price and medium quality and this was no exception.

After a long travel day, all you want is a burger and a drink. So what if it is 3pm? The Pyramid Bar was right there with a choice of local bourbons and the Pyramid burger with sweet potato fries.

We have developed a tradition of visiting Dallas at least once a year on a relaxing Amtrak train ride from Austin. We always stay at the Fairmont Hotel Dallas (see our previous reviews in years' past) for a three-night weekend stay because it is conveniently located just a few blocks from the Union Station transportation hub in downtown Dallas and because it is right in the center of the museum district. During our entire stay, we always have the breakfast buffet at the Pyramid Restaurant (it is so good that we actually see it as an integral part of our visit) and usually splurge with at least one dinner. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and the dinner menu provides pleasant surprises. The restaurant is also very pleasing to the eye. However, the best part of the Pyramid Restaurant experience is the attention of the service staff who strike a perfect balance between professionalism and genuine, warm hospitality. The restaurant manager for breakfast - Aida - oversees her staff with the skills of a symphony orchestra conductor. In addition, her warm reception (she instantly recognizes us from previous visits but her hospitality is just as warm for first-time guests) when we walk in for our first breakfast is the perfect beginning to our stay in Dallas. We highly recommend the Fairmont Hotel Dallas for your stay and, while there are fine restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, we strongly encourage visitors not to overlook the Pyramid Room Restaurant in the hotel.

Overall the restaurant experience was good. No complaints here. Quick service and great food. This is the same restaurant that provides room service to hotel patrons. Note that when busy, it is a little difficult to get a hold of.

The food and drinks were great here, and the staff was awesome. The mixed drinks were fresh and delicious! The hotel on the other hand, sucked and was ridiculous for their add ons and fees.

The Pyramid has tasty and healthy breakfast choices. The atmosphere is quiet for business meetings, and the service is helpful. It is in the interior of The Fairmont Hotel, but it is still a nice stop. It offers a buffet or menu for breakfast.

If we talk about best burger Dallas has a lot of places to offer "The Grape", "Grub" etc but Pyramid is not falling behind!! OMG nice meaty patty, great bread.... this is a must!! Food Burger reviewers where have you been!!!????? Also the steak salad was perfect!! Steak tender and cooked perfectly!! Love it!!

For the three nights we had room service from Pyramid Restaurant & Bar. The food was exceptional from full and southern breakfast to late night dining.

Shrimp tacos were really delicious. Highly recommend. Service is also great, thanks to Joseph and Jackeline.

This bar is amazing food and drinks! What makes the bar and food so great is the customer service. We go back many years with Roberto who is top notch! We also want to recognize George who is also wonderful. This is a must for drink ,snacks or food! Please make a visit to this Bar in Fairmont Dallas. We keep coming back because of these great guys and food. Cindy & Jack Sparkes

We had been to the Pyramid other times and we were always very satisfied with the food, cocktails and service. That was the main reason my husband picked that place to had our Valentine’s dinner. When we got to the restaurant a red rose was given to my hubby so he could give it to me. The special menu had our names on it and the place was beautifully decorated for a romantic date night. I was super excited! We ordered our dinner and a sparkling wine to celebrate our 10th VDay together. After they brought our drinks the server simply disappeared... At first we were enjoying our wine and didn’t really mind the slow service but after 45 minutes without getting even our 1st course we called the manager, complained about the delay and told him we were ready to leave. The manager was very professional and handled the situation very well. Chevy (Manager) was very apologetic for their mistake and promised us VIP service from that point on, which really saved our night. He constantly checked on us and as always, the food was great.

I had breakfast and dinner in my room from Pyramid and both were fantastic. The room service was delivered warm with a friendly touch and was removed promptly when I called. Breakfast was very nice with great service. Doesn't feel like a hotel restaurant!

We dined around 9 p.m. and Miguel waited on us and did a great job. Wine list was awesome and food was very good. Haven't been in years and I'll go back.

We went there on Christmas Eve and enjoyed a very tasty menu. We loved everything from the amuse-bouche to the dessert buffet. Service was attentive and neither too quick nor too slow. The only thing that struck me as negative was the price of $20 for the house water.

Very pretty restaurant. Simple and elegant decor. Our waiter was great. Very friendly and helpful, but not overbearing. I would say that we all liked our meals, but didnt love them. We went for restaurant week and the menu sounded a little better than it tasted. I am a dessert person and the lemon cake dessert didnt do anything for me. I would go back to try the regular menu. This is a nice place and would be good for business or a date.

We ate here on the first night of a weekend trip. They had multiple menu choices by the plate, tastings or dinner packages. Gustavo was our waiter , he was very attentive and always referenced us by name. The food was very good. Portions were on the smaller side but still filling. The wine selection was great and they also have an in house sommelier . I would recommend the ostrich for a main course and Schramsburg for a wine choice. I would go back next time I'm in town and would recommend to others. Check Groupon , we were able to get a great deal on our dinner for 2.

Great express lunch menu. Servers were friendly and very accommodating. Food was very good. Definitely recommend.

If we had not been expecting more perhaps it wouldn't have seemed so ordinary. Plastic place mats? Our dinner order was asked for without being given the wine list? No one to help with wine selection? Home made ricotta starter was good but fried avocado with it? Breaded with a dense crumb crust then deep fried so it tasted like fried crumb crust. Salad was mediocre very last year, goat cheese walnuts etc. Veal cheeks were tasty. The lamb shank anything but. Served with a cloying thick cream gravy which would even drown out the flavor of a chicken fried steak. Rhubarb desert was out of season and uncertain as to what it was trying to be. Opening Martini was good. So sorry. Signed Garry Horle

We even met the chef! This is part of the Fairmont hotel but you don't need to be staying although we were. We were well received and every aspect of both dinners was up to the highest professional standards. Our waiter both nights was Gustavo whose high standards would be hard to beat. The menu is appropriately short but plenty variety. The food is well presented and delicious to taste. This restaurant would be hard to beat anywhere.

I found the restaurant to be a perfect place for breakfast business meetings during my stay at the Fairmont Dallas. I commend the staff for their professionalism and the kitchen for producing very good breakfast items.

I had 2 lunches and a breakfast buffet. Nothing stood out, however everything was good. If you are staying in the hotel and are looking for a place to eat without leaving, it is the place to go and you will not be disappointed.

The Pyramid is a great restaurant in downtown Dallas. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. When I entered the restaurant, the staff greeted me and introduced themselves. They made me feel welcomed and very comfortable. The Pyramid was a great experience and I will return.

We only had time for one meal, not at regular mealtime and in a great hurry; the staff not only brought the food exactly as requested but in record time. We were able to finish in plenty of time for our next appointment. I highly recommend the romaine salad with chicken - the chicken was flavorful, moist and although chilled, really delicious. Perfect size for a small meal.

Had a great brunch!! Aida help with a few request we had for the new baby. Excited to try their sliders for lunch!!

The service was absolutely fantastic. The food, however, was hit and miss. My wife and I shared the signature Tomahawk chop rib-eye for two entree and it was outstanding. Perfectly cooked to a marvelous medium rare. But the shrimp salad appetizer had overcooked (and, therefore dry) chilled shrimp and the Pear bar dessert we shared was a little dry and uninspiring. Neither of us could taste the pear over the rest of the bar.

We only had breakfast here for 3 mornings when we stayed at the Fairmont Dallas. They didn't have the buffet, so we ordered off the menu and tried to mix it up every day. Food was very good, other than the last day - I had the pancakes and they were just ok. Certainly nothing great. But 5 of the other 6 breakfasts my wife and I had were excellent. Banana bread french toast was fantastic. The service was fantastic, as well. Each day we had several people wait on us (one for food, one for drinks, etc) and all were very good. My only issue with it, and why I didn't give it a 5 star, was the value. Our breakfasts were included in the package, and that was great. But for people without a package, it was a bit much. For example, $6 for a glass of orange juice. I think $11 for a bowl of oatmeal, $4 for a cup of tea, and another $6 for a side of fruit. So well over $30 with tip for a relatively basic breakfast. Overall, as long as you don't mind the price or maybe have the breakfast package included, I'd certainly recommend it.

Even if the food was bad, which it wasn't, the staff make this place SIZZLE! Food was delicious & they aim to please!

Because Pyramid is located inside Fairmont Dallas, where I was billeted for a week, I did not feel the need to be too adventurous by eating outside the hotel where I attended a convention. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet consisting of heavy and healthy choices from bread to fruit to cereal to meat choices to different types of egg dishes. Amazingly, they have healthy options (The impossible - vegetarian- burger served with sweet potato fries, and the shawarma chicken wrap I always had for lunch) and I frequently ask them to serve me omelette with lots of spinach and cheese in it. You can have your dishes custom made according to your particular style and taste because the kitchen is composed of creative and happy people. I give so much credit to Aida for being the most wonderful person who greets you at the entrance — she can disarm the coldest of personalities with her warmth and maternal vibe. She checks out your orders and ensures that you are served well. She is the life and soul of the Pyramid. Kim is the most glorious staff you can ever find in the Deep South. I heard from locals that she’s been at the hotel for almost 30 years so she is a seasoned hotel and restaurant practitioner. Kim has the most infectious smile and cheer that foreshadows that most wonderful meals that you are about to partake. I also commend Sarah and Alyzza who served me with so much heart and spirit when Aida and Kim took a day off. At the bar, Roberto transforms a variety of ingredients to formulate the tastiest cocktails. And Yasenia reminds me that there is a future for the millennials working at the Pyramid and Fairmont Dallas because she has an amazing personality, an even more amazing memory and the most prompt service you can probably find in the state of Texas. I am back in my country now but I am still over the moon about my Texas visit because the Pyramid fed me well and along the way, my experiences at the restaurant and bar made me realize that there are still many good, make that great people living and working in the other side of the world. Thank you very much!

I had the gemelli pasta for dinner and it was excellent. The sauce was creamy and light and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I took the advice of the hotel operator and got the butterscotch brulee for dessert. Oh man. What a delicious item. Loved every bite.

We dined with four of our friends. Excellent food in a casual atmosphere. We had terrific, unobtrusive service that allowed us to dine on great food while enjoying our conversation. It was perfect for our little birthday celebration. Thank you Pyamid for a wonderful evening. We’ll be back!

Breakfast was better than dinner. Celebrated a birthday at dinner and they made dessert special by writing Happy Birthday in chocolate sauce.

Had two decent meals here. Had some local beers which were also good. The service was good and attentive. I have not much more to say and would recommend that any guest of this hotel chow down here. One thing you will notice here and basically in all of Dallas is that there appears to be a manufacturing facility somewhere that pumps out 5'10", 120 pound blondes and disseminates them throughout the city. No complaints from this amigo.

Off the main lobby in the Fairmont, the restaurant space was not particularly charming. Table and chairs reminded me of a Hampton In breakfast area and the restaurant was a bit drafty. There were no table cloths. The menu was really abbreviated and the option of ordering a bottle of win was not on the menu. The food was not exciting - my Beyond Beef burger was good but the fries were limp and soggy. My wife's vegetarian risotto was tasty. Our waiter was friendly but it took a long time to take an order. We live around the corner but I doubt that we will be back.

Opted for the bar instead of the restaurant as I am not a fan of unusual foods. The Pyramid restaurant menu just didn't have what I wanted. The bar area had a different menu which was only mildly more to my liking. I had the French Onion soup which I well say was delicious ($10). I then had the flat iron steak ($22) which was somewhat tough, not a lot of taste. With that was served some masked potatoes and broccolini, with tons of sauteed onions. Overall not a lot of taste. Service and ambiance was nice, noisy but it was a bar and there was a huge event going on in the hotel. My first choice for dinner was Dakota's Steakhouse but I couldn't get a reservation until late. Sure wish I had held out for steakhouse. I was staying at the hotel so this choice ended up to be more convenient. Would I go back, definitely not.

We had Sunday brunch here while staying at the Fairmont. Be aware no alcohol is served before 10:30 am on Sundays-a little peculiar for a big city, but I've run across that in Fort Worth, too. I had the Eggs Benedict with a citrus hollandaise sauce, which was good, but a little of the citrus flavor goes a long way. My wife had the North Texan which was an omelet with veggies and jalapeno sausage. Again, the flavor was fine, but just a bite or two of the sausage was enough. No complaints about the food, but the service was understaffed and slow, with staff running around in an hectic way. A charming woman with a heavy accent was running around trying to help everyone and keep them happy. Food was slow to come out; we probably waited close to 40 minutes. Fortunately, we weren't in a hurry. The restaurant was very busy. I will say I'm sure the kitchen serves the bar, also, and the food at happy hour was delicious and prompt.

The food and staff at this restaurant are exceptional. I received a genuine welcome when I arrived and felt spoilt all the way through my dining experience. My waiter Gustavo was outstanding along with the Maitre d/Sommelier, very sorry your name escapes me, as were the others and I wish to pass on my thanks to all the staff.

Loved the food, great bartenders and fun location. We had dinner and drinks 3 of the 5 nights we stayed at the hotel, at night you can order from the restaurant menu at the bar. The food is wonderful.

Food was amazing, and the staff was very friendly. My favorites were the Chicken Shawarma and the mezze bowl.

We had a great Father's Day brunch here this year. They do not do any kind of special brunch like they do for Mother's Day, which was a little disappointing. We all had the breakfast buffet - plenty of options and great food! Service was wonderful as well.

The Pyramid brings together the best of class and culture paired with a top notch dining experience. Staff and service was impeccable. The room's ambiance fits a power business lunch or sexy dinner. I enjoyed/loved my personal showing of the local artists highlighted throughout the vibrant, upscale setting. DeVoss, is boss. "Praise" is praise worthy. What's been haunting me since I left; the HOUSE SMOKED BRISKET PANINI - jalapeño cheddar, cilantro, pickled shallot & fresno chili atop of a mound of smoked brisket, just a dash of bbq sauce, hickory (I think) between a grilled crispy panini. Smashing! Explosive flavor pairing I can't stop thinking about. It was a panini that I ate with a fork and knife; lol, I can be so pretentious at times. The flavors will will have you walking away with a smile and excited to come back again.

On our first night in Dallas for business we all met up in the lobby and went to the Pyramid for drinks and dinner. The special was a filet and a strip steak. Some people had the fish and we enjoyed the wine. Overall a good meal for a hotel, at hotel prices. Service was excellent. They serve a nice variety of food and wine. If you need to eat in at Fairmont, this a a good spot, a little pricey.

Jon, Natasha and Karen were the most patient professional staff who accommodated my family when one of our party became ill on this trip. Food taste great (fair warning, the prices are higher but it is a restaurant conveniently located within a downtown hotel).

As a business traveler, it's always a luxury to be able to get a great meal without having to go far. Delicious!

Pyramid serves 3 meals a day, all very good. The restaurant is quiet and the staff attentive. Good menu variety, good wine list, and consistent quality. We were at the Fairmont for a week, so had many meals here to rate.

Great place for brunch. Relaxing atmosphere and outstanding service. Food was delicious. If you go after 1:00 pm it is less busy.

I must say that I was very pleased with the service and food . I always felt that a great restaurant starts with a good bar/good bread...good service..entray prepared perfectly and topped off with a good desert! Well, They did just that! Our cocktails were prepared perfectly(I tended bar in an earlier life) The bread was excellant and a nice selection. The wine list was extensive(and good). I had a NY strip that was perfectly prepared, the best that I have had away from my grill. They use Prime beef. The menu was not over powering ,but, well balanced. Topped off with a nice desert. The Service was great..FYI, I used a Travelzoo voucher. I'd go back!

We had all our meals here during our visit to Dallas and our stay at the Fairmont. Dinner was very good and the portions we're ample. We were there during a fixed price special menu evening. The strip loin was 10oz and delicious. The hot breakfast buffet was delicious and had a nice assortment of eggs, fruit, cereal, pastries...they will make eggs to your taste. Lunch was also delicious and prices are reasonable. The best part was the service. Aida was very kind.

Did you ever order a $42 steak in one of the city’s top hotels, and wish instead you were eating at Denny’s because the food at Denny’s would be better? Pyramid at Dallas’ Fairmont Hotel is so awful, you want to assume the stained carpets, tiny portions at huge prices, and spasmodic service are the concerted effort of a competitor, trying to make this once proud hotel dining room look bad, on purpose. I made a reservation weeks before our dining there, only to be told that they had us reserved at 730p not 830p. We were told to wait, and after about 10 minutes, the hostess found us a table in the back of the restaurant. The lighting in the restaurant is a bit brighter than it should be, but at this table, the spotlights were like a broiler. I requested to be reseated. While the servers seemed harried, if they moved more slowly, it is possible that they’d be walking backward. When the appetizers and salad arrived, the portions were artful and tiny--somewhere, the free samples given out at a Whole Foods Market were larger than what we were served. And the bread was brought to the table after the appetizers and salad. At least the appetizers and salad were tasty. Was amazed, however, that the steak--$42 menu price, and all--wasn’t. A steak ordered medium came out medium well to well--and the resulting meal was dry. Yes for $42. Yes at a four star hotel in Dallas, TX--U S of A. Wow. I’d almost think there were laws against that in Texas. Disclosure--we bought a certificate on TravelZoo that provided us with $130 worth of food for $65. And when we brought the shortcomings noted to the Fairmont’s attention, the host/manager made apologies and attempted to make amends by inviting us back on them. Even so, most people in a hotel restaurant are paying full price, and I have enough respect for the Fairmont brand to believe that Pyramid is an aberration. At least, I hope it is. . . All said though, we had one Saturday night in Dallas, and we’d hoped for a big deal dinner--not one that had us lament our choice.

I popped in here one evening last week for a drink and decided to eat at the bar since the menu looked so good and Michael the bartender was very friendly and welcoming. I was glad I did as my BBQ pork sandwich was awesome. The place really filled in while I was eating and actually got quite crowded with people who must have just come out of a meeting in the hotel. Still it was comfortable and they make a mean Manhattan. Nice place to try even if you're not staying at the hotel.

Stayed at the Fairmont for business and wandered into this hotel restaurant. You would never have thought to find this place in a hotel. Beware if you are looking for standard cheeseburger fare it will not be found here. This is a place for foodies with a portion size that represents what we should be eating like. Great food. I had the pleasure of being there during restaurant week and had a bonus menu. The tuna was superb. Highly recommend.

The bartender was arrogant and possibly drunk on the job. Had the nerve to tell me my favorite type of Tequila sucked and this was within 5 minute of setting down..dude had a serious attitude problem even prior to my arrival per my guest who there before i arrived... I did nothing but order a shot...also the guy kept bragging about how he drink whiskey all day long and i think he had been..this guy belongs in strip club not a fine hotel...seriously did nothing to provoke this jerk...hey jerk when a paying customer asks for something you dont tell them they dont know what is good and is not good....you agree that its awesome and you go get it...got it...jerk

This was a great place to eat with a great staff....Kim and Gustavo will go out of the there way to help you

I work at Fountain Place. At least 2-3 times a month , I eat lunch at the Pyramid Restaurant at the Fairmont Hotel . I always ask to be seated in Kim's section so she is my wait staff. Kim makes my lunch experience relaxed and accommodated. The food is fresh and tasty . I recommend the Pyramid Restaurant to business guests and out of town guests. The Pyramid Restaurant is my go to business lunch place! And Kim is the reason why i go to Pyramid !

Had breakfast here recently with my investment banker. Very private and quiet setting conducive to a business discussion The service was excellent. The food was very good, be it a la carts or the buffet. A great place for a meeting.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the attention of the service staff. The menu was unique and very good.

Underground. Why? The way to the restaurant through the hotel is like an interminable subway tunnel. The food is good enough but nothing special. Seen it, done it, had it better. And less fattening.

We stayed overnight at the Fairmont and had to try the lobby bar - Pyramid. The drink menu offers that they make wonderful cocktails, but they were so busy that the end result was not the same as pictured. Very busy with little staff on a Saturday nite.

We booked the private dining area for a breakfast meeting and were pleased with both the service and the food.

We had a late night bite to eat. The food was great, but the wait staff acted like they had better things to do. They talked to each other at the bar than they did their customers. We were given the wrong check. Our waitress never checked on us. Overall, an average or worse experience.

Ooo, this place is for the birds. I love the Fairmont as a rule, but this place is not clean, not set up well, small, claustrophobic, basically in the lobby, and the bar itself is sticky, dirty, and the attendant that night unclean and not nice. The smoking action right outside the lobby doors seeps into the lobby, so you get a nice blast when walking to the restaurant. The restaurant was absolutely and completely empty and it is too much in the lobby, so when they have big gatherings like proms or weddings, you won't get the privacy or elegance you should expect. The bar is not in the restaurant. They validate.

Again the Service and Quality is Excellent! You also have great Specialty Drinks. The atmosphere is very laid back and Great Ambiance!

Lovely restaurant Great place with amazing people. The bar has great cocktails. I tried the smoked old fashioned and just loved it. Team is very helpful and food is delicious too.

I enjoyed dinner at the Pyramid three nights in a row! Every meal I ate was excellent! From the appetizers, to dinner and dessert, I didn't leave a drop behind! Definitely recommend all the pasta meals, and all the chocolate desserts!!

Fine food focusing on high quality locally sourced ingredients. Excellent preparation, well presented. Nice wine list. Excellent service.

Priced at about $25, the breakfast buffet covers the usual territory. Good-quality bacon and sausages, above-average Eggs Benedict (a rarity in buffets), oatmeal, fresh fruits, patisserie items. Coffee was weak. The standard chair was uncomfortable (back too upright), but the built-in seats okay. The service staff were bright, cheerful, and proactive.

We found the breakfast selections to be broad and would appeal to almost any diet. The buffet had a fabulous selection of offerings, again to suit most tastes. Anyplace that has lox is always high on my list. Quality condiments and the buffet changed daily. Servers were great and a special call out to the hostess (whose name I cannot remember, just that she had an accent). She was delightful and friendly and made sure that everyone felt like she was inviting them to her home for a meal. Have absolutely nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Would highly recommend and will return.

You MUST order the filet mignon...It is tender beyond belief, dripping with immense flavor! No dessert needed!

The Pyramid is a good, higher-end hotel bar. Service is fast and pleasant, drinks are priced at what you would expect for this type of hotel and the food is just as good.

The Pyramid Restaurant is our "go to" for special occasions. The atmosphere is nice. There are so many wonderful options on the menu it's often hard to choose - and that is before the daily specials are introduced! The food and drinks are always delicious. Equally important, the service is flawless. Every need is met instantly, but no one ever appears to be hovering or pushy. Miguel and his wait team are fabulous, as are the valets, the bartenders, the maitre d and the chef (who put in a personal appearance at our table to check on our meal). It's difficult to find the perfect combination of friendliness and professional, but the Pyramid a Restaurant and the Fairmont do so seamlessly.

Took the kids here for lunch while staying at the Fairmont. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff are great. The food is pretty mediocre compared to the culinary food scene available in Dallas. If you’re just looking for something basic and are in the area this fits the bill. That being said, the drinks are outrageously expensive. I don’t normally ask how much something is but when I got the bill a double well vodka soda was $26 USD ($33 CAD). Just a note if you are having a drink. Food prices seemed fair enough.

Nice lobby bar with tasty food and great cocktails. Try the slider or the Margherita flat bread. Yum! Would recommend to hotel guests!

It's great to have an option to stay in the hotel when you're tight on time. Beer options were good and food was tasty.

There is an air of impatience in the waiters and the servers. Get your order in, get you order out, clean the table, no matter that some still eat. We had steaks and they were great, the fries were thin and crispy, and the vegetables were innovative, fresh and colorful. All a bit inpersonal for my taste, but really not meant as criticism.

Beautiful ambiance - nice decor, good food! Good service. Good wine collection. You have a choice - either sit at the bar or at the table setting. Lots of choices in food selection. Service was quick and pleasant.

Our tradition is to get dressed up and to go downtown for Christmas Night Dinner. The restaurant we have been to the past five years is being renovated and they recommend the Pyramid Restaurant. We remember the Pyramid Room to be gracious and elegant. The Fairmont Lobby was festive and the Pyramid Restaurant was also decorated for the holidays. We were five adults, with a 6:30 reservation, seated at a lovely round table in the center of the room. We enjoyed a prix fixe menu that started with an amuse bouche, followed by a selection of appetizers and entrees and a fun dessert buffet. The food was good! Unfortunately the service was rushed, impersonal, and amateurish. We were not greeted when we walked in and had to wait to be shown to our table. We asked to meet Austin because he had been very helpful during the reservation process. We were told he had “stepped out for the moment” and he never came by our table. Our drink orders were taken. One of the martinis was not mixed right – it tasted sweet. We had to explain it to the waiter 2X before he agreed to have it remade. One of the other martini glasses had a chipped base. The waiter was anxious to take our order and we had to tell him a couple times we were not ready. When placing our food order the waiter stood in one place, as if his shoes were glued to the floor about two feet from the table. We had to ask him to walk to the other side of the table so he could answer our questions and we did not feel like we had to shout out our orders. Then we asked to keep the wine list so we could choose a bottle for dinner. The appetizers arrived; they were tasty and we all enjoyed them. We had to request bread twice and received only crackers and flat bread. We just finished our appetizers and were sipping our cocktails. And then the invasion! Without warning or preparation our entrees arrived at the table! Waiters started to “raffle” off the five entrees, “who has the beef?” and reaching in front of us to set down our companion’s plates. We hurried and selected a wine. The wait staff scurried around putting wine glasses on the edge of the table. I regret that we did not send the entrees back so that the appetizer flatware could be cleared, drinks finished, wine ordered and glassware put in place. Trying to keep our festive mood, everyone went with the chaos. When the table was resettled and wine was poured the entrees were no longer hot. After dinner we had to ask where the dessert buffet was located and ask to order coffee. When we returned from the buffet table, the cups and saucers were placed in the center of our places so we had to move the hot coffee to the side to put down our dessert dishes. The front of the house needs professional skills training or needs to be replaced. Their service is more like you expect in a pancake house and not characteristic of a downtown luxury hotel. My hunch is that there is also a big disconnect between the front and back of the house staffs communications. Our hats are off to the culinary team for their menu, preparation and the buffet table. The food was good, the Service Not!

I was in the hotel for a convention, so, unfortunately, a few meetings were scheduled at the Pyramid as it was at the convention site. Every meal I had was awful. The chicken sandwich was soggy and so unappetizing I barely touched it. The fruit accompaniment was not ripe yet. The chicken dinner was revolting. It did not appear to be cooked properly and came with an egg.......those two items do not go together at all. The bread on the table was stale and all in all, this place is consistently disappointing. Do yourself a favor and walk to a nearby spot with better food. The service was good, that is the only positive.

We ate here this evening. Good food, good service & a nice wine list to select from. Attractive place and not the least bit noisy.

I really like eggs Benedict and I order it at a lot of different places and so this morning early before we have to leave for the airport I went to the restaurant downstairs in the hotel and ordered eggs Benedict and fresh orange juice. I must say that the orange juice was fresh. The eggs however or some of the worst I have ever had. Lukewarm runny weak hollandaise sauce. English muffin basically raw. Canadian bacon with absolutely no taste. The waitress tried hard to please and did not charge me for the eggs so I only paid $7.50 for a small glass of juice. The waitress was very nice and I left a large tip. There is a Starbucks in the lobby and you are much better off going there then going to this restaurant.

We just got back from the Christmas Brunch. What a waste of time and money! This was our first time to go and with great reviews and high expectations. BIG MISTAKE! I don't know where to begin. When we arrived everything from the wait staff to the front staff moved quickly...but not in a good way...we were rushed to order etc. I read on trip advisor that this was one of the most extensive Christmas buffets in Dallas...must have been a few years back, because we did not see anything of that sort. EVERYTHING WAS COLD! I take that back, the coffee was hot..thats it....There were no choices of vegetables, there was absolutely no bread, and the few pieces they did have was rock hard..in fact we banged a piece on the side of our plates with no effect. The meat choices were almost none existent. Prime beef and thats about it...no chicken choices or other beef choice or possibly grilled fish...something that would suffice paying 70 dollars per person. There were seafood choices and thats it...cold shrimp and cold crab..dried out Smoked Salmon etc. A lot of dessert choices, but nothing that was tasty. It was old and dry. The cantaloupe tasted a bit sour. Just a tragedy! There was no Christmas music or live music as well...not a fun place...and This is our first and last time. We attend many different Christmas brunches around the Metroplex, and on top of everything else, the roof collapsed above the breakfast area...this by far was the worst of 2014. I will also post this review on Trip advisor, because they were the ones that recommended this place. You have one Christmas in the year to get ready for a brunch, and they blew it.

It was a wonderful stay. Truly enjoy my time at the Fairmont. The have a nice pool. Nice gym. A great view from the room.

My husband and I ate here for breakfast on Mother's Day so the restaurant was temporarily relocated to another area. We were the first ones there so you would expect the service to be impeccable. Well it fell short of that. The service and food were very poor, however we never said anything. While there, we overheard several guests complain and saw 2 walk out. If you didn't order the buffet, it would take a long time to prepare. Waitresses looked very unhappy to be there. When ready to pay, they comped our meal due to how long it took to prepare the pancakes. I guess kudos to them for recognizing that!

Leisurely breakfast in The Pyramid restaurant was really good--eggs Benedict and blueberry lemon pancakes were excellent. Husband had the buffet-omelets, pastries, etc. Service was excellent, staff friendly and took the time to call us by name as well.

We had a very fine lunch at this beautiful restaurant. Little touches like the chef checking on our group went a long way. The glass wine cellars are a great touch! Inspired: Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho Service: entire staff was excellent Atmosphere: very nice and inviting Food: very good Return: yes Discovered: recommended by locals

The historic Fairmont Hotel is always a fun place to visit. With former entertainers like Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and Bob Hope, the "cool" factor is set. However, I digress . . . we arrived at the hotel to be greeted by the kindest bellman (who I'm pretty sure has been there since the opening in 1969) and who takes so much pride in his job that he could give lessons! We made our way to the Pyramid room and were seated in a quiet area to enjoy the amazing selections available for the brunch. From the made to order omelet to the banana and nutella crepes, every dish was superb! How special to celebrate Easter in such a nice setting.

We came to the Pyramid for brunch in mid-week, and had an excellent experience. The place is elegant despite its large size, the food was well prepared, served warm, and the service was impeccable. Valet parking was complimentary, and to top it off, unlike other restaurants within a luxury hotel, the prices on the menu were not higher than in lesser establishments.

Food for price not worth it, service was so so. There were few people in restaurant but took longer than normal for good to arrive. Would not recommend with so many great restaurants near.

The ambiance is uplifting, well lit, and adorned with interesting and gorgeous art pieces. My entire family attended for our regular Sunday brunch. The Pyramid Room has so much to offer to meet the gastronomic desires of each of the 12 attendees: bread/pastry bar, breakfast buffet, and well-composed menu offering lunch fare. Our waitress was Kim who is perennially cheerful and completely down to earth. She and the kitchen worked with me to meet the needs of my special auto-immune diet and I so appreciate that! My meal was both healthy and delicious. The kitchen went out of their way to create a special dessert plate for a family member celebrating a birthday today. It was both a surprise and a confectionery dream scripted in chocolate with celebratory address. We love our visits to the Pyramid Room. We have never been disappointed.

Everyone at our event was drinking coffee, but I wanted iced tea. I went to the restaurant, prepared to buy myself a glass. The lady offered me a paper cup, and I asked instead for a glass. (There were many glasses in our catering area, so why not?) She explained that I might trip and then cut my hand on the broken glass. I laughed at this absurdity, and she was kind enough to go off and bring me my tea - in a real glass - which I very carefully walked the 100' to the foyer ballroom. I think that's really cute of her.

Very good breakfast with lots of choices. Very good, juicy burger as lunch menu, accompanied by tasty french fries.

Spent a wonderful evening with friends here. Food was incredible and service was tops. Pork belly appetizer was amazing. We are already planning our return visit.

I took my wife to brunch for both Easter & Mother's Day. Best I've ever had for food quality. Not as many selections as I would prefer, but more than enough to satisfy even the pickiest diner. There were three in our party and we all raved about it. The desert chef is a national award winner and it shows. I even tasted (and loved) items I normally do not care for. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Very efficient at being there when you want them without hovering. I did not stay at the hotel, so I cannot speak for the rooms, but valet was very busy with check-ins and check-outs so that's a good sign that it is popular. Since I made a point of driving > 30 miles twice and have plans for the next brunch (Turkey Day), you can safely say I recommend this highly.

We hadn't eaten in what used to be called the Pyramid Room in many years and decided to try it again. While things are different now (but no less attractive), and it's definitely less elegant, the new incarnation probably is more popular with the majority of the Fairmont's current guests. Our food and service were excellent, and consistent with the expectations of a luxury hotel's restaurant.

We had New Year's Eve dinner here, with a chef's tasting menu of five courses, plus an amuse bouche and a little sweet after dessert. There were two choices for the first four courses, and between the four of us, we were able to try all of them. We all had our favorites - lamb, scallops, risotto...all were either good or excellent. The real standout that night was the service - it was measured, eager, and timely. We were all struck by the lovely personalities and excellence all around. It was truly the highlight of our evening.

For the last six years during weekend get-away stays at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, we have regularly patronized The Pyramid both for breakfast and dinner. The a la carte menu or the breakfast buffet (choose from either the full or the continental) are fantastic with an ample variety of fresh fruits, innovative pastries and the standard offerings of eggs and breakfast meats. This year the granola/yoghurt cup with assorted berries was outstanding. The breakfast hostess - Aida - is attentive and gracious and remembers us from year to year. The dinner experience is elegant as befits the dining room, although the Dallas heat in August transforms it into a more casual experience and clientele. Last night, to our surprise, we not only could choose from the a la carte offerings but could also choose from variety of three-course dinners (appetizer or soup, entree, and dessert) from special summer offerings ($49.00) as well as from the now-popular August restaurant week event (which translates into the entire month) menu ($45.00) offered in many cities across the country (among them my home base of Miami). From this latter menu I chose the delicate and tasty corn chowder; the beef filet tenderloin with garlic mashed potatoes, snow peas and carrots; and the lemon fondant tart. I chose well - each course offering was excellent - the good-sized filet was delicious. The service was outstanding. I highly recommend The Pyramid Room restaurant.

Greeted and seated at table for 2. Menu handed to us. Server took beverage order. Ice water poured. Server told us evening special was lamb shank. Spouse ordered squash pasta that came with cauliflower and Marfa Texas tomatoes. mine was the Berkshire bone on pork chop with lentils, greens and peach compote. Three kinds of unusual bread including parmesan twists and lavosh. Very good and different. Beverages, water and coffee, were filled quickly as needed. Entrees arrived. Server told us, just to remind us, what was on our plates. food was hot and delicious. Just right portion size. Too full for any deserts although they have some great choices including sorbets.

Sitting in the bar right now. Have to beg to get a drink. One server trying to cover an entire bar with food and drinks and one bartender. There are three conferences going on right now and whoever is running this bar clearly has no clue. Absolutely terrible.
Absolutely Fabulous Food -Critus Cheesecake is a must!
Presentation and taste of the food was amazing. The scallops were beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. Although the scallops were fantastic, the critus cheesecake was unbelievable delicious so light and tangy. Sit away from the bar for reduced noise levels.
